Unique, wide waterfall in the scenic, lush surrounds of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.

The place is beautiful, even though I didn’t get to see the view of Mount Fuji. Still, this spot is definitely worth visiting. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom easily. Unfortunately, swimming is not allowed here. But for the sake of safety and preserving nature’s beauty, it’s a necessary rule
I recently visited Shiraito Falls in Japan, and it was an absolutely magical experience. The falls were stunningly beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery, and the area was incredibly peaceful. The maintenance of the site was top-notch, and the whole atmosphere was just calming and refreshing. I highly recommend it!
We visited Shiraito Falls on a cloudy and rainy day, but despite the weather, it turned out to be such a memorable experience for all seven of us in the family. The soft drizzle actually made the surroundings feel more magical as the mist from the falls blended beautifully with the fog, giving the whole place a dreamlike atmosphere. The sound of the cascading water was so soothing, and the lush greenery around us looked even more vibrant under the rain. What made the visit even more special was that, just for a brief moment, the clouds parted and we caught a glimpse of Mount Fuji in the distance. It felt like a small gift from nature after waiting patiently in the rain. The walking paths were easy to follow, though a little slippery, and we took our time enjoying every view along the way. Even with wet shoes and umbrellas in hand, we couldn’t help but smile. There was something peaceful about being surrounded by nature, hearing the water roar, and feeling the cool mist on our faces. Shiraito Falls truly lived up to its name as one of Japan’s most beautiful waterfalls, rain and all.
Shiraito Waterfall is a peaceful and refreshing stop in Karuizawa. The waterfall is not tall, but it stretches widely across the rock face and flows in thin, silky streams that really do resemble white threads. The surrounding forest makes the whole area feel calm and secluded, and the short walk from the car park is very manageable. A great place to enjoy nature, take a slow stroll, and unwind from the busy town areas. Beautiful in every season, especially during cooler months when the mist adds to the atmosphere.
The place felt magical, absolutely stunning! Just being there was so relaxing and calming. It’s a small area, so there’s not a lot to do right at the spot, but it's worth a visit if you're nearby. We stopped by on the way to our paragliding activity and loved the peaceful vibe. There's also a nearby farm that's great for a family outing. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area! There wasn't any entry fee, just the car parking fee, which was 500 yen
Very nice place with amazing views. From here you can also go up to the Shiraito Natural Park with lovely views and if you are lucky and have clear skies, you can take amazing pictures with mount Fuji in the background. Recommend going early in the morning if you also want a good view of Fuji.
A short drive from Lake Tanuki if you are there to get a view of Fujisan. The waterfall was so beautiful in the fall. We went there mid November so the foliage was still not in full effect but the waterfall itself is breathtaking! You can park at the waterfall official parking lot and pay 500Y each for entry fee and parking fee. You can catch a glimpse of fujisan from the parking lot if you’re lucky!
There are many waterfalls in Japan called Shiraito Falls. This one is quite large. You can see Mt. Fuji, and the whole area is a World Heritage Site, so it's in a different league. It looks like it's full of foreigners. Everyone is well-mannered. It's pretty crowded, so it must be a popular tourist spot. You can also see Tokidome Falls. The motorcycle parking lot closest to the waterfall costs 100 yen. There is a larger parking lot a little further from the waterfall, but it costs 200 yen. As it has become a tourist spot, there are several restaurants and toilets.

Local shinto shrine with many local visitors. Not many tourist here as its not on the main tourist route. There is a small pond spring next to the shrine. Its was surprising nice to see such clear water spring with local fishes. Peaceful and nice if you have sometime to make a detour here. We drove here and paid parking is just next to the shrine.
A holy place to visit while in Fujinomiya. At the entrance is a large Tori gate, walking further you’ll see the temple and some people offering prayers so be mindful when taking pictures. There is also a small lake just nearby.
Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine in Fujinomiya was really peaceful. I loved the bright orange color of the shrine and the whole area had a very calm vibe. The walk around the grounds was serene, with mostly locals and not too many tourists, which made it feel more authentic. There was even some kind of event going on when I visited, though I wasn’t sure what it was. It’s a cozy spot to take your time, admire the bridge, the garden, the park, and of course the shrine itself. Not a place with tons to do, but definitely worth stopping by if you’re already in the area.
Very pretty shrine during cherry blossom season, and wide spaces for walking. There is a pond where people prepare themselves for their hike up moun Fuji, so it was interesting to see the locals interact with it here
This is a lovely place to visit. I recommend going here with a good tour guide like we did as we learnt so much about the tradition and religion from him.
Gorgeous shrine and beautiful scenery. Cool yourself with crystalline water from Mt Fuji. Excellent photo opportunities too
Great place to experience the temple ambiance near Mt. Fuji. The temple is very picturesque. I would say the whole experience was typical as with other temples. The place is quiet, good for praying and contemplation. The colors in winter are very muted accented with the orange color of most of the temple buildings.
WoW! This is one of the best Shinto Shrines I’ve ever visited. Very large grounds with ponds of super clear water and it is very cold. Many smaller shrines here along with the main shrine. Super well kept, paid parking available. The small river running next to the shrine grounds is beautiful. I would love to visit again.

This is a good place for relaxation in nature. On a sunny day, it's a great spot to see Mt. Fuji. If you have the time, I recommend spending at least 2 hours here. So, you can leisurely stroll around the lake and maybe bring your own food for a picnic. Although renting a bike is available, I'm advised not doing so because The path is fairly narrow and is the same path that walkers use. Despite the large number of families and couples camping there, it doesn't feel overly crowded. If you don't have a car and have to travel by public transportation, you must carefully manage your schedule or you could waste hours waiting for the bus. Noted: I visited there in the early summer.
Beautiful lake. One round is 3.3km, there is dedicated road for bike and walking.
The view was so unreal it was out of a dream! So worth a drive to see Fujisan from this side. We arrived late morning and there was no crowd!
A quiet place to see Mt. Fuji, though it’s a pity for me that I didn’t see it when I arrived. So many cloudy days in April 😿 BTW, free parking here. And don’t stay overnight due to bears.
very very beautiful mount fuji from here, the scenery was amazing, a quiet place to chill and enjoy the vibe of mount fuji
Calm and pleasant. Nice walking paths. Great Mt. Fuji views. Pictures from mid-Nov 2023.
Magical place. A huge beautiful lake surrounded by nature. If you are lucky you can take a great shot of mount Fuji.
Fantastic views in this area, not least of Mount Fuji (apparently, you can see the "double diamond Fuji" phenomenon from here). Beautiful lake with a campground and, according to a sign, an onsen (I haven't tried it). An hour by bus from Fujinomiya Station and it's on the same bus route as the Shiraito Falls, so you could visit both places in a single day trip.

Fun day out in the sun. Great space, lots for families to do. Free parking at their parking lots, plentiful at Lot #2 across the road. Paid entry, then most activities cost extra (¥100 for pet food to ¥1,000 for other activities - prices as of mid April 2025). Photos are free - and the view speaks for itself (it's amazing!). We didn't make it to the iconic big swing as the queues were hectic. Come with children, come as adults - there's something for everyone. Don't get me wrong, this is definitely a tourist attraction. There isn't much that screams "authentic Japan", but you aren't coming here for a lesson in Japanese history. It's essentially a farm style theme park - and that's totally fine.
Makaino Farm Resort is the perfect place for the whole family to spend the day. The resort has designed a variety of fun activities for groups of friends or families. The resort features a variety of animals for visitors who love and are interested in interacting with them. Additionally, Makaino Farm Resort offers numerous locations where you can capture stunning pictures of Mt. Fuji in the background, provided the weather is favorable. However, we didn't have good weather when we were there. But we still enjoyed what the resort had to offer.
On a good day with views of Mt Fuji, this place would be absolutely beautiful as it's designed for unique and pretty pictures with a variety of signs, props, and other things like swings, seating, frames, animals, flowers and a hill against the backdrop of the mountain. Although it was cloudy for us, it was still heaps of fun!
This farm is a place where visitors of all ages can interact with animals, enjoy the natural environment, and learn about local food and crafts, all while enjoying a variety of activities and attractions. 🗓️ Ideal time & days to visit: Although the resort is open all year, it is best to come during the spring and autumn months when the weather is warm and the views of Mount Fuji are often clearer. Visit either in spring: March-May or summer: June-August. The change of leaves around Mount Fuji creates beautiful scenery during Autumn: September-November. If it's possible, consider visiting on a weekday since weekends and holidays can get crowded. 🚖Transportation: The resort is accessible via either car or public transportation. You can take a bus or taxi from Fujinomiya Station. Parking is available on-site for free. ⌛️Duration of Visit: Plan to spend at least half a day to truly experience all the activities and attractions. 👁️‍🗨️Attractions: A petting zoo at the resort allows guests to interact with farm animals like goats, sheep, and rabbits. Families with young children are particularly drawn to this. Kids' Farm is a ranch work experience program limited to children aged 5 to 12: feeding and petting animals. A tractor-pulled bus is a way to travel throughout the park. Horse riding & pulling experience. The experience of cow milking (twice daily for free) veal involves touching the warmth of life while feeding a calf. Camping To take part in making ice cream, butter, and cheese, as well as crafting and pottery. Athletics and playground equipment Eateries and souvenirs shops Mount Fuji's majestic beauty can be captured from multiple viewpoints on the farm, including 'Heidi's Swing' and 'Ocean View Hill'. Ticket price: <1> From March to November: Adults (junior high school students & above): 1,200 yen, Children (over 3 years old): 900 yen <2> From December to February: Adults (junior high school students & older): 1,000 yen, Children (over 3 years old): 700 yen Business hours: 「1」From October 21 to February 20: AM 9:30 to PM 04:30 「2」 From February 21 to October 20: AM 9:30 to PM 05:30. ▶︎ Wednesdays during the month of December 1st through March 20th are closed. ⚠️ Precautions: When driving a car down a narrow road to the top, at an intersection where there is no traffic light. To turn right, it's important to drive cautiously and pay close attention to your surroundings. The farming operation aims to create a location where people and nature can coexist, emphasizing the significance of agriculture and gentle interactions with animals.
Imagine a beautiful farm to spend the day at. Yes, this is one of the places where you can do just that. Interact with the animals, from small rabbits to goats, horses, and cows, feeding them. There's also a camping area for those who like camping, several beautiful spots for you to photograph the famous Mount Fuji, and beautiful flowers scattered and planted throughout the place. There's a food court with some restaurants serving delicious dishes and desserts, and you can also sample dairy products from the farm itself. The parking lot is spacious and large. It's a good idea to wear comfortable walking shoes, as it's a very large place with some steep climbs.
Went there in the morning on weekdays (Sep). Not many people in the morning. Nice view though Fuji is not yet covered with snow. I enjoyed this farm and think its really suitable for family
Makaino Farm is one of those rare places that instantly lifts your mood the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is full of warmth and positivity—from the friendly staff to the happy animals to the beautiful open spaces. Everything feels thoughtfully designed to create a relaxing, joyful experience for visitors. The animals are incredibly well cared for and gentle, making interactions feel safe and genuine. Whether you’re feeding the goats, meeting the alpacas, or just enjoying the scenery, there’s a real sense of peace here. The farm also has great food, clean facilities, and plenty of areas to explore at your own pace. It’s the kind of place that reminds you to slow down, smile, and enjoy simple happiness. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone who just wants to recharge in a positive, uplifting environment. Makaino Farm is pure wholesome joy.
Fun time with the kids. Lots of petting and feeding to be done. Wonderful view with Mt Fuji at the back. Only downside is that this place is quite far and not convenient.

Great location to just relax and enjoy nature. Two falls for one drive. Crisp clear water and clean location. Not alot of visitors with makes it nice to just lounge around for a bit. Swimming is prohibited as a heads up. Wish I knew before I went so just putting it out there. Parking was also a breeze. 500 yen directly at the spot or 200 yen down the road. Either way its well worth it.

I unfortunately went on during a holiday, so half was closed, but the service was great! I bought some milk (best milk ever!) and ate at the restaurant as well, great meal for the price! And technically with a view of Mt. Fuji (it was cloudy so you couldn't see it but it's right there!)
I don’t think it’s worth a visit unless you have kids. I did see that it was more for kids but thought maybe I would be able to see a cow or something and have some ice cream. There is a restaurant there but it was very busy. There was a goat petting area but it’s like 700¥ for 15 minute plus then you pay for food. I didn’t want to pet a goat that badly lol. Lots of kids activities and playgrounds so it’s definitely worth it there. Idk where they keep the cows here cause we couldn’t see them, so we ended up leaving to IDEBOK cow farm for ice cream and a more adult vibe.
Creamy and not too sweet soft serve, they do sell local snacks/fruits/vegetables at reasonable prices. Highly recommend for who needs a quick stop during your trip. It was a cloudy day or we could have seen the Mt. Fuji.
We came as two adults without kids so skipped all the animal petting part of the place. However do go and try the milk coffee (pictured) as it's really nice. It's got a nice natural sweetness to it but a sophisticated after taste. I ended up drinking two! There are also fresh fruit and vegetables available from the local region. Looked really good alas as I'm a foreigner I have no where to cook them. Toilets are nice and clean too.
Perfect place for people who love villages. It had really beautiful mountains and cows and goats. Got my coffee from there and lots of snack as souvenir
This is a great place to shop souvenirs.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Fuji milk land. The accomodation was perfect for our needs. From our balcony we had a perfect unobstructed view of mount Fuji. Wow what a sight! For dinner we enjoyed the BBQ set which the staff so kindly set up outside our cabin. The setting made for a truly magical evening. The food was great (set included beef, pork, vegetables and noodles as well as sauces ect.) We washed it down with some craft beers brewed by the farm which were quite a nice change from the usual Sapporo, Asahi selection. Since we arrived quite late in the afternoon on our first day we spent the afternoon visiting the animals and enjoying some ice cream! Awesome experience for the whole family. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a fun stay at a reasonable price!
We had an ice cream break here! 💯 It was delicious. The cream cheese flavor is the one that I really recommend! Also the fresh milk and choco milk is bussin 🫶🏻

We stay one day overnight. We arrive around 4 pm...it's a beautiful place to go around, walk and enjoy the day with a great view of mount Fuji. This sideroad has so many different options to enjoy the day there, good food, picnic areas, brewery, visitor information. If you can stay overnight choose the back parking lot and with a side view of Mt Fuji....if you woke up early in summer (4:30 am) maybe you will get an unforgettable view of Fuji.... Once in a life time experience.
5 stars roadstation. Great food, nice view and not crowded !
Like many road stations (michinoeki) in japan, this one is really a nice place to drop by if you're passing through. Even if you don't drive you can come here by a bus that runs between Mt. Fuji station (in yamanashi) and Shin-Fuji station (in Shizuoka). I came here by bus from Fujinomiya station and explored the area. It has a huge parking lot, toilets, showers, vending machines, souvenir shops, ice-cream, Fuji viewing observation deck and a lot more. There is a trail from here that goes to a spot called 'Fureai no Mori entrance'. It is a 50 min circular walking trail into the forested area in this neighbourhood (goes all the way up to the border of Yamanashi prefecture). After exploring the area, I walked 3-4 km south to the bus stop called 'Asagiri kogen' which has a nice Family Mart so you can rest there while waiting for your bus back to civilization. You can take great shots of Fuji and farmlands all along the way.
Stopped by on a road trip around Fuji-san to take some pictures. Didn't realise it but it was culture day in Japan so there was a small festival set up outside. Lots of traditional foods and snacks and street foods. Felt like it was the middle of no where but it was very lively. Inside was lots of traditional snacks and seasonal foods as well. Had some fresh raw milk from cows that graze on the mountain side. Was very rich and creamy with a strong beef flavour. Not sure what it would be like on a regular day, but it was also exceptionally clear so we got some good photos of Fuji-san that day.
It was a great experience to see Mt. Fuji up close again after a long time. It's different seeing him from a far and go and see him this close. This is also the station where you can start to hike using the Yoshida trail going up the mountain. Hiking season starts on July though. We went here last year around May.
Nice shop with lots of local specialties, fairly priced. Great views on a nice day.
Excellent place to visit with your family, relatives, friends, and loved-ones. You can see the beauty of Mt. Fuji most especially during Spring Season. This place has food restaurants, café, bending machines for drinks, milk station, and the like. I will come back here someday. Travel. Relaxation. Refreshment. Eating. Drinkinga little. Cycling. Camping. Enjoy life and try to experience the beauty of this place.
A nice pit stop with everything you need and the shops area next to it are also a must go. The milk factory, yam factory, green tea factory.... many things to see here.

Beautiful park. Well worth a visit !!
nice garden around a museum
This is what relaxation looks like. Have a seat and enjoy the sounds. Throw all your beliefs away and just let the whole area wash over you. It's beautiful.
Bright red bridge with crystal clear water flowing . Peaceful and great for photos .
Truly one of the most peaceful places on Earth. Big enough to enjoy many aspects of nature and Shinto culture in different ways. Personally, I enjoy the aesthetic of the shrine and then head northeast to the pond to enjoy the peace and cleanliness of the well-maintained landscaping. The ducks and koi are friendly and well fed, but make sure you only feed them natural bird food (seeds, corn, dry brown rice, etc) since processed foods (including bread) can hurt them.
100% worth a visit. Beautiful and peaceful.

A great place to spend 2 hrs. Great for the kids because they were able to get up close and feed exotic birds like owls parrots and flamingoes.
Everything about this place is was so beautiful. There were tons of different birds to see, and lots of different ways to interact with them and get close to them. A few of the parrots like to say こんにちは! as you walk by. You can feed them and sometimes pay to touch them or let them sit on your shoulders. I especially liked the greenhouse and all of the beautiful blooming flowers hanging from the ceiling and stacked up the walls. Also the employees were all really nice and helpful. 10/5. I can't wait to come back with my friends sometime. :)
Not an expert on birds. But felt many displayed stress like walking in circles, bar biting, rocking. Maybe some birds were rescued and unable to survive in the wild but 100% this place would not be permitted in the UK. My photos show how owls and birds of prey kept in the UK. I'm a guest in Japan and not preaching just saying not for me.
We've visited this botanical garden luckily while returning from Fuji area. When i entered to the botanical garden, i was shocked with the most beautiful flower sight i have ever seen. You become exciting with many kind of flowers with nearly every type of color! You must visit this place if you go to Fuji area. Also, there are some kinds of owl and birds inside the garden.
Wonderfull botanical park with tons of plants and birds. It is not huge but have a lot of variety of life. Ducks, Parrots , different species of Owls and lot more. Some parrots even say Konichiva. The outside area offers a good view of Mount Fuji.
Amazing place to check out and interact with birds. They have shows with up close viewing of some of the birds. Really fun and enjoyable. Lost track of time just enjoying ourselves and all the different birds they had on display!
Not necessarily being a huge fan of botanical garden or zoo, my expectation wasn't that high, but it turned out that I ended up liking this place very much. I had never seen so many different types of owls at once. The buildings are dated, but they work pretty well with a diverse set of birds / flowers to create its own unique environment.
Very beautiful garden/zoo. Lovely to stroll around the indoor garden with some of the biggest species of begonias ever seen. Large gift shop too.

Really me my friends all enjoy this water falls near Mount Fuji. Summer time with family or friends or single go and enjoy. Actually we went on September 30. It’s Monday so me and my friends only also some Japanese junior school kids came there, there also enjoyed
Amazing walking path from Tanuki lake, very easy and beautiful . Worth it. We didn’t meet any tourists at all, guess we were very lucky! We even caught the filming of the music video by a j-rock group, but didn’t really understand who it was.
Very nice place to go in summers, it would be great if you go earlier. You can get parking place near by
No dogs allowed, but still worth a stop since the walk to the waterfall is like 3 minutes from the parking. Plenty of parking and there is a toilet.
It is a good place for family travel with kids, my son likes to throw the stones into the water, we spend almost an hour here. There are around 10 parking spaces just outside the water fall, everything free of charge here.
Our air bnb host took us to this hidden waterfall. This is not a widely known place so excessive crowd can be avoided and this beautiful nature can be enjoyed at your own pace. The water quality here is excellent and local usually consume this water. If you have a chance taste this water.
No time period to visit. And if you wanna take beautiful pics, better to go early as possible. Very beautiful. Not a big fall but beautiful.
Lovely cold mineral water . Not popular so kind of a private spot . There were some people collecting water since it’s a mineral rich water . I enjoyed taking a shower under the waterfall . Water was freezing cold even during the end of April . But yeah i loved it .

I recently visited Mount Fuji's heritage site and had an incredible experience! Although the weather was a bit too cloudy to catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji, the overall vibe was serene and the information provided was fascinating. The highlight was walking up the spiral pathway, which added a unique touch to the visit. Definitely a must-see spot!
Very affordable! All kids under 15 are free! Its a great exhibit you could get through it all in about 1 hr if rushing but could spend 2+ hrs if you watched all the shows and read everything. I'd say overall it was worth it especially if the weather is good and you can see mount fuji!
The Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center was a really cool experience. The view from the top is amazing, especially if the sky is clear and there aren’t any clouds. Inside, you get to learn a lot about Mt. Fuji in an immersive way that makes the visit feel special. There’s also an ice cream shop inside, and the vanilla ice cream was surprisingly really good. A nice little bonus. One thing I really appreciated is that they offered free wheelchairs and even free entrance for seniors, which was great for our father who’s over 70. Overall, it was an enjoyable stop. Between the views, the exhibits, and the small details, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
A beautiful and informative museum dedicated to the history and geology of Mt Fuji. Video panels spiral upwards ending at the top gorgeous view of the majestic mountain. People lay down on the shiny white floor to take interesting reflective photos. Small but nice gift shop and snack bar. Inexpensive parking across the street.
If you want to ascend Mt Fuji virtually without getting out of breath, this is the way to do it! Inside is a spiral ramp with curved screens that show the views and terrain from the mountain at different elevations from sea level to top. There are also interactive displays on several floors on the way up if you need a rest while climbing. Their website acutally has great photos of what you can expect to see inside. There may be an optional special exhibit (not to be confused with the included cinema room on the same floor). You pay for a ticket at the time of admission and it actually cost more than the base admission charge, so you have to decide if it's worth it depending on what's exhibited. With the favorable exchange rate, admission for both was still only about $6.50 (700yen included general admission and the exhibit). What's also great about Fujinomiya: after you visit the center, If you wander along the river path towards the mountain for two blocks and hang a left, you'll find a small food court on your left, the highlight of which is a water fountain that allows you to drink spring water from Mt Fuji! After you enjoy a meal, Shiraito falls is only a 30 minute bus ride away. Take a left and continue along the same street for about 25m to the bus stop on the same side of the street (the bus will be heading to your left. It's a lot of lefts, haha). We used Shizuoka as our base to get to Fujinomiya for its proximity to both the Shinkansen and Tokaido/Minobu lines. Although the Shin-Fuji Shinkansen station is closer to Fujinomiya, it's about a 1.5km walk to the Minobu line station to catch the train; if you stay near the Shizuoka station (Hotel Associa Shizuoka is great and super-close to the station), both train lines are right there in the same station.
We went on a Saturday around 3pm and there was no wait to get in. I did not reserve tickets in advance but it was ok. The exhibit is really cool walking up the spiral path to see the different exhibits about Mt Fuji. There are two lookouts to see Mt Fuji if you’re lucky and the skies are clear it is a stunning view. The library closes earlier so check that out first.
Hiked Mt. Fuji before coming here and eventually learnt a lot about Mt. Fuji. Particularly interested in how Mt. Fuji is incorporated in Japanese history and culture. You will find lots of interesting facts about Mt. Fuji. On the highest level, you can see a very beautiful view of Mt. Fuji (unfortunately I came when it was cloudy but I can imagine how beautiful it is). It’s a perfect place to capture the mountain since Fujinomiya is the closest city to Mt. Fuji compared to other places (e.g. Fujiyoshida, Yamanakako, Gotemba). Staff is very friendly and guide me when I have questions. There is a cafe and souvenir shop which I think pretty unique since I couldn’t find the merchandises in other places.
The building is a work of art, with a Japanese torii gate out front. Inside, Mt. Fuji looks like a masterpiece painting. The staff were really friendly, and I totally fell in love with this spot.

This was a gem of a find! Really cool demonstrator with the guide explaining three rocks in both Japanese and English. Very extensive display with lots of exhibits that you can actually touch (this is not possible in Australia). The museum shop had some cool rocks. The staff were very friendly. There was an English guidebook available but I was lazy and just liked looking at rocks without understanding so I did not get this so can't comment. Loved it, definitely worth a visit!
It's a interesting and relaxing place, can bring family and have fun. Only not give 5 stars, because the lack of information in other languages.
Lots of gemstones and fossils as well.
Really interesting place. Saw the sign when driving past and it turned out to be a really good little stop. Plenty of fossils, rocks and crystals to be seen
Very cute little museum, there are some very interesting exhibits. Everything is laid out in a very fun manner which would be especially good for kids, but it's just as enjoyable for adults. Exhibits don't have English, but Google translate worked well. They have a little interactive demonstration in the entry hall (with English cards) which was very interesting. There's a small outbuilding where you can dig for little chips of gems and other semi precious stones which is just a generally fun experience, most of the people there when we went were actually adults having a good time.
Great fun, very special types of rocks and fossils displayed in an approachable way.
Really excellent displays, much larger than we anticipated.
Very beautiful museum. There are various types of fossils and stones and the way to expose them sometimes is too funny, like the "pork stone" or the dessert shop

Incredible experience with friends and or family. High recommend climbing, stay the night in the hut, wake up early and catch the sun rise. Went in September and it was the perfect temperature. Take ALOT of coins for the wood burning. Bring a strong headlamp for the nighttime climbs. Bring a jacket and pants for the summit. Have fun!!!
This is the highest shrine in Japan, located just right before the summit of Mount Fuji. It was originally built to appease the mountain deity and help prevent volcanic eruptions.
Beautiful shrine on Fuji's peak with plenty of benches and windbreaks for hikers. The shrine does not open until 0600, so if you arrive at 0400 to watch the sunset. be prepared to wait or skip the final stamp. it is extremely cold, even when it's hot in the city, and it's hard to carry extra clothes when it's blazing, but you will need winter clothes to survive. You should also bring something waterproof to sit on, as the benches are often wet.
If you can make it to the top of mt Fuji this place is pretty cool. There is a temple and next to that you can get a quick snack if udon or ramen which after hiking up the mountain taste very good. A quick rest and a snack and check out the temple then back down the mountain. Very cool climb and worth the hike to climb a great overall experience climbing mt Fuji!
Worth the long hike just to view the majestic sunrise experience of 1 of the famous Mountain in the World 🌎
Wonderful time climbing this amazing fuji San, Fujinomiya track! (2nd of June 2024) Little clouds at the top, but amazing experience ❤️❤️❤️🗻❤️❤️❤️
Seems to be about the same as the other shrine on the rim - just a bit larger and a bit nicer. A few hundred yen will get you two stamps that are dipped in ink and hammered into your stick. The stamps are similar, but different, than the two you can get at the other shrine. Also available are large standard stamps for your stamp book and the regular trinkets offered at these shrines.

Highly recommend this place for people who like to enjoy local good foods. Each nice local food company show you how to make their products. Everything was fresh !! (Air , food !!) I wanna come back soon.
The view of Mt. Fuji is gorgeous. The food is good and not expensive. There is a tea shop that you can good green tea. The best part for us is the milk and the ice cream.
Lots of small food stalls selling very tasty food. Hidden behind the parking stop so you should not make the mistake of eating in the restaurant outside before going inside for some food. Lots more options and shops inside.
Surprisingly tasty food. Lots of choices and the cook constantly cooks new dishes. Also there's a good amount of desserts. Update 2 years later: the lunch buffet was again as tasty as last time. Everything fresh, well prepared and delicious.
Very touristy spot. Nice tasty local produce. Asagiri area is famous for dairy products
Very relaxing eating ice cream under the trees, very nice place.
Nice place to sightseeing and for doing a quick stop. Nice vendors and beautiful scenery.
Had the best soft serve ice cream ever here

Possibly the purest religion in the world, if you are seeking a religious beliefs, it doesn't hurt to google Nichiren Shoshu or 日蓮正宗。
That day was very cloudy so we couldn’t see Mount Fuji. We thought it was a temple like other places but seems not. We arrive around 5pm and no one was around and everything is closed around the area. I don’t think it’s open for tourists.
I'm very happy to visit this place.. And want to came back again and again.. Miss so much for the temple.. I hope this year can came back..
It’s a very nice place where solemnity is abundant
Holy and head temple for Nichiren Shoshu believers. Really peaceful and beautiful place here.
Great buddhist temple with mount fuji view

Free indoor playground at Level 2 near toys section. Well design playground for kids from 2 to 10 years old. 👍 Kids play, mother go shopping 😆
I love this mall! It was pretty empty. Found a large pet store with so many varieties of pet supplies. Coming from the US, we don't find the kinds of pet clothes and treats this store offers so I was so pleased to shop there. The restaurant and snack shop was also wonderful!
A large store with almost everything in stock. It's got a great ready to eat food in the Supermarket. Also good range of decent wines at a good price.
BECAUSE OF CENTER OF THE CITY..very easy to approach and its a real fun for kids too.one can enjoy the cenima and vast variety of food. Newly opened indian restaurant (Fulbari) also a great fun. Bring ur kids to have a great fun here.
Decent size mall in Fujinomiya where you can find some good deals. This mall has a small food court and a grocery store. Parking is free. The mall is not too far away from the train station.
Love shopping here for groceries, clothing and other home essentials.
The biggest mall here. Free parking lot.
