This is an awesome place to visit. Once you make it up the many steps to the cave with a big Buddha, you can explore the cave right to the other end. The scenery while walking through the cave is spectacular.
600 steps to climb up and then another 200+ if you want to explore the cave to its fullest. You can go through the whole cave and find a second exit at the end- but you have to return again. Soooo awesome! 100% worth it. One of the best caves of my life. We were the only ones there. What an amazing place!
A couple of hours drive west of Udon Thani. A little off the main highway but worth a visit if you have the time. A huge cavernous cave. Take a flashlight as it's dimly lit.
Nice little cave excursion, if you go during the week take a torch as they apparently only turn the lights on, on weekends. Having said that I thought it probably was better with the natural lighting, more authentic
This cave is worth a visit if you're in the area, though it may not be the most spectacular one you've seen. To reach the entrance, you'll need to climb 600 steps, but they're not too steep and should be manageable for most people with an average fitness level. Once you reach the top where the golden Buddha is, venture into the cave and walk all the way through to the other end, where you'll find an opening. Climbing the stairs there will reward you with great views. While the cave is lit, it's a good idea to bring a torch for extra visibility. Before climbing up the stairs, for safety reasons, you'll have to register with a guard and sign out when you leave. The entrance is free but donations at the temple are appreciated – donation boxes are available at the bottom and top.
We visited Erawan Cave today. A very steep 611 steps up in 35deg heat but it was worth it. The cave is amazing, very tall and wide inside and goes deep into the mountain. There is some lighting but I would take a torch if possible. The Budha statue at the cave entrance is very large and I am amazed they build it in such a place. Entry is free, wear good shoes and take some water. Going down is easy.
A small Temple shrine set inside a cave network. There are only 600 steps to the top involved so don't worry, there are little rest huts on the way. Impressive views of the surrounding farmland and to the mountains in the distance. Inside the cave you can currently walk further in, steps carved into the rock as well as other carvings and natural rock formations. The inside of the cave is nice and cool so provides a good relief after reaching the top so you can recover to make the trip down. Login and out at the base for safety reasons.
Wow is tiring to climb up the 661 steps ( about 1 km ) up the hill from the hill foot temple. The view up there is amazing. The cave used to be for monks to do meditation and it is very huge caves with smaller cave size enough for monk to sit in and meditate.

We visited a market by the lake today and looked at the temple which seems to be dedicated to roosters. A good place to visit and plenty to see. I am surprised everything sits outside and is untouched. Well done Thailand 👍
Very pleasant place to visit. The lake is clean and it's nice to walk around it.
The monument is a tribute to King Naresuan the Great, a famous Thai king who fought against the Burmese and won several battles. It was built in 1992 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of King Naresuan's death. The monument is a popular tourist destination and is a source of pride for the people of Nong Bua Lamphu. The pond in front of the monument is a beautiful spot for a picnic or a stroll. The water is clear and clean, and the surrounding area is well-maintained. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained as well. They are a convenient amenity for visitors to the monument.
