It's surprisingly beautiful and fun to climb to have a great view of the sea and the coast. Quite a steep climb and in enclosed space so just a warning for people with claustrophobic tendencies. The top of the lighthouse is not for people with vertigo, though it is beautiful and a breath of fresh air to reach it.
Breathtaking Views and Coastal Serenity at Cape Zanpa! Cape Zanpa is easily one of the most stunning coastal spots in Okinawa. Perched on the westernmost tip of the island and overlooking the vast, deep-blue East China Sea, this park offers panoramic ocean views that are nothing short of majestic. The dramatic limestone cliffs and crashing waves create a peaceful yet powerful atmosphere.
Cape Zanpa Lighthouse is a must-visit spot in Okinawa. The views from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters and waves crashing against the rugged coastline. The lighthouse itself is beautiful and offers a unique photo opportunity, especially during sunset. There’s plenty of space to walk around, enjoy the sea breeze, and take in the scenery. A peaceful and scenic spot that’s perfect for sightseeing, photography, or just relaxing by the ocean. Highly recommend adding it to your Okinawa itinerary.
Wonderful time and had fun just exploring the area. Great fishing and scuba diving spot. I really recommend going near the evening or morning to see the sunrise or sunset.
Amazing view from the lighthouse. 10/10 would recommend for your trip to Okinawa. For only 100 yen you can have this amazing photo place. Would be cautious going up the stairs though, they are steep. Make sure to check the weather too because rain would for sure make this experience less pleasant
Nice views off the cliff. Must climb the lighthouse to see even better views!! It is small and hot 3 stairs and up another level. Worth the climb up. Be prepared for a ladder going to the very top after the last set of stairs maybe 8-10 steps. If you've got a go pro make sure to bring it.
This was a wonderful sight seeing spot with plenty of parking, walking trails, and of course the light house. There were quiet a few tourists there so be prepared to move slow at times if you go up the light house. Over all a great spot to stop at.
¥400 and 99 steps to breathtaking views. Great trails surrounding the lighthouse that take you to ruins and beautiful vistas. Great way to spend the day - have lunch at Cape Zanpa Drive-In, great food!

A beautiful place to take a stroll and take in the gorgeous landscape. These castle ruins have nice paved roads through woods and views of the water and nearby city. I love being surrounded by nature and walking here allows you to recharge.
Fantastic part of history to visit. Very glad I was able to walk the grounds and take in the views. Definitely go visit if you have the chance.
The grass was so green and maintained everywhere. It was absolutely beautiful. The tall walls are impressive. There's so much space so you can explore without running into too many people. It was hotttt in the sun but the wind tunnels through the arch ways and feels so good.
An ideal location for a leisurely walk and photography, boasting a wonderful vista that can be enjoyed by climbing the ramparts to gaze at the horizon, along with its historical importance.
It's kind of crazy how many of these sites exist where they do. Unless you're looking for it, you probably wouldn't even know it was there. The trees lining the walkway up to the castle really set the tone for the incredible structure that's still standing after so many years. Once inside there's a large item space with another set of stairs that will take you to the upper level which is a bit smaller. The last set of stairs allows you to walk along the top of the walls giving you a view of the ocean, city, and mountains. I went close to sunset which is a great time to take some nice photos. It's quiet up there aside from the birds, it's quite peaceful if you are at all interested in history and great views away from all the traffic and so many people. I've seen a few of these sites and the view at this one is my favorite one so far, I recommend taking some time out to see it if you're visiting Okinawa.
Beautiful hiking trails and cultural discovery. Very recommended to visit this place.
Amazing to think of what this place used to be and how it was built. There's not much to the place anymore, but you will find nice views and great photo opportunities.
We were going from Cape Zanpa to American Village and decided to stop along the way. Sure glad we did. The ruins are well maintained. I believe you call that an oxymoron, but the entire area / park is so clean and organized. Looks like Pine trees surround the castle which doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a tropical region. The view from the top of the castle ruins is nice too. A great way to leisurely pass 30-45 min.

We absolutely love this beach and alavila is my favorite hotel in Okinawa. I love everything about it . It's pure comfort. We have decided to come every year !!
Beautiful beach that is not really crowded. You can rent a sun bed as well as a hammock and parasol. Food is available as well. The restrooms are pretty clean and showers are there, too.
Beautiful and clean beach. Lots of activities. Toilet, changing rooms, shower outside is free. Proper shower is paid with a special coin from a nearby hotel.
Nice beach to stroll down as it's not a swimming beach. Sand has a lot of little shells but it's still ok to walk on. The water is shallow so you can easily dip your feet in. Near by there's a tap to use to wash your feet
Incredible beach close to Chatan. Taxi would cost approximately 4.000 ienes from American Village to Nirai Beach. Beautiful place with great structure to enjoy a full day relaxing.
Notai Beach is a beautiful, family-friendly beach in Okinawa. You can rent parasols and sunbeds, and there’s a lifeguard on duty for safety. The beach is clean and safe, with free parking nearby (close to the church). If you’re up for some activities, they offer banana boat rides, paddleboarding, and more. We absolutely enjoyed every minute and stayed the whole day!
We watched the sunset there during the week. It was a bit busy, but not too much. It was okay. (On the mountain) All in all one star less because the beach was very busy & everything between luxury hotels.
Clear beach, should really wear water shoes otherwise all the rocks would be too spiky to step on. I saw that before high tide time (before 5pm), lots of people get out of the restricted swimming area to swim, but there will be announcements once the tide was about to come, and once it does, water rises really fast so better stick to the restricted are. There are two shower facilities at both end of the beach and they close at 6:30 pm so if you want to shower, should get there by the time. It takes 3 medals for 4 minutes of water and you have to exchange for the medals at the Marine House next to it, we made a mistake of putting three 100 yen coins in the shower machine and the machine didn’t work, I got the coins returned but my friend got his lost inside the machine and even the manager at the facility couldn’t find it, so we lost 300 yen. The beach js in front of the Nikko Alivia resort, but it’s a public beach after all and everyone can use it, but I can tell that since it was far from the center, not many people go there actually, so there are plenty of space to swim around. You can rent the parasol and chairs from the hotel even if you’re not staying there.

Went for the Ryukyu Lantern Festival at night and it was magical (do check if it's still on when you go, I think it ends in March) We stayed the night nearby at the Best Western Hotel, mainly so we could snorkel the next day. Turns out I enjoyed this light exhibition more as it was so peaceful and beautiful. Went on 19 Jan (Sun) and the people were spaced out enough to have a peaceful experience I liked the Vietnamese Lantern area the most (the colourful ones in the pictures)
Most of Okinawan attractions are pretty run down compared to when i went to them as a child, but his one even though most of the craft shops had no staff and the banana exhibit is a wreck and the pond is empty, closed restaurant in tge middle ofbtge day, at least the grass was cut and it was really clean. Maybe under new management somebody with fresh ideas can bring this great place back. Even though much of the old Murasaki Mura is gone, it can still be brought back. The highlight there now is the horse riding.
We enjoyed the Lantern festival. It was nice and low key which was exactly what we were looking for. We went on a Saturday just before Christmas. The crowd wasn't overwhelming and we got excellent pictures of everything. A relaxing environment with food and activities. Bring Yen.
This place was okay if you want to do crafts and thats about it. Or maybe if there is an event going on, other than that.. not worth a vist. Especially at 1000 yen. Maybe if more beer was involved and an event. Ok
Cool place to visit and explore but everything inside is at an extra cost. Great potatoes on a stick food vendor though! Fun crafts to do with the kids or with groups of friends.
The ambiance is amazing. Such an extraordinary and authentic experience you won't want to miss. They have the Ryukyu Lantern Festival every Dec - Mar where you can see the recreated town illuminated with 3000 lanterns. It's 100% worth the visit.
I love visiting during the lantern festival during the winter. It’s a perfect location to take pictures and a must see for friends and family visiting. When we visited there were shows going on with performers and food vendors.
We are so happy we made it to the lantern festival before it ended. Walking through the park with the gorgeous lanterns illuminating was not only enchanting but romantic. We went as a group and all parties had a wonderfully magical experience. We highly recommend taking the time to enjoy this beautiful festival while it is still going. It cost 700 yen for Junior and high school students 1200 yen per adult. Elementary students are cheaper and under five is free. The lantern festival starts after 5 pm throughout March.

You don’t need to be a professional photographer to capture stunning sunset views, but you better wait until the day having sunny forecast. Spend a few more minutes at the Zanpa Lighthouse area too.
Nice beach although we came in early January and the beach was close for swimming. I managed to take some good pictures however and here they are.
Free to access. Beach house has food and drink. Showers, toilets, lockers. Use the foot wash area to rinse your body instead of paying to shower. Small swim area. Water is murky. Kind of disappointing.
One if the best beach. Its calm, quite new and not that much crowded compared to other beaches. And sunset here is mindblowing. Am in love with it.
So many rocks under the ocean floor, it’s not that nice a beach honestly, if you want to do activities like sup, inflatable pool playing, it’s nice for those but for swimming, NOT RECOMMEND, must bring water shoes if you want to swim and stand on the ocean bed.
Pretty disappointed in this place but mostly the workers. It’s a public beach but as soon as I got here one of the workers for the building “Zanpa Beach House” told me I wasn’t allowed to use my umbrella? Pretty ridiculous we can’t use personal umbrellas at the beach let alone a public one. They sell their own umbrellas so that must be the reason for the scam. Pretty rocky, you’re better off elsewhere.
There was a small guarded swimming area with a water park and you can even take the banana boat. The beach house had some drinks and a shop, but it was kind of expensive. Seems like it's mainly targeted at people of nearby resorts since you had to pick which resort you are from when buying stuff. The water was a bit murky so not that worthwhile compared to other beaches in Okinawa
Not a bad beach. Pros. - free parking - double netted swimming area - life guard - Semi clear water - many things to rent and do sushi as inflatables, jet ski, boat rides, flying hydro jet surfing and more Cons. - Rocky beach - very expensive to use water inflatablesand any rental items. - swimming area is a bit small if it's packed. -YEN ONLY NO CARD! - you need at least $100.00 USD to do anything worth wild.

Really lovely spot! Would recommend. Here is some information that I think is helpful to know in advance: Great for snorkeling. Lots of fish, starfish, crabs, and hermit crabs. Has free toilets (no soap) and ¥200 showers (no soap). Has a great restaurant. Has a mini shop but it's more geared towards selling raw meat than anything touristy. Bring footwear you can walk on in beach and in the water. The water does not get deep, 1-2m. The beach is mostly dead corals and stones, not soft sand. There is roofed seating spaces. It was not too busy, the water was free. Most other visitors just BBQ in the seating area. There is walks nearby. There is convenience store15 mins walk away, but the beach had ice-cream and drinks vending machines. I could easily spend a day here and I like to keep busy. I hope you enjoy.
I didn’t swim just looked around, it was so beautiful and I found one of my favorite shells a sea urchin so I had the best day ever here! Definitely worth a visit, free parking and a cafe/restaurant next to it as well 🏖️
If you want to swim here you’ll need aqua shoes! I tried swimming barefoot and it hurt so bad 😂 Don’t make the same mistake as me! But honestly it was perfect❤️ lots of fish and such a beautiful view. I’d totally recommend it if you love exploring! I’ll definitely go again and try snorkeling next time 🐠🌊
Great local beach if you don’t mind swimming at your own risk. November 2023 my daughter was stung by a box jellyfish in the shallow water just a couple feet from shore. When we made other swimmers aware, some got out of the water and some chose to stay. The reason we’ve given it 2 stars, is because the staff made a point to go to the swimmers who had removed their young children from the water and told them it was safe to still swim and, that it was NOT a Box jellyfish. Which was a lie. It is now feb of 2025 and my daughter is still physically scarred. The stings will occasionally still flare up and burn. Box jellyfish are deadly! We love Toguchi beach, but safety has to be a priority, lying to the public just to protect your image is not the way to go!
Great beach to relax and see the sunset. There is a little cafe with a very helpful staff. I recommend
Water was soooo warm and so clear. Plenty of fish and other things to see. It was pretty empty when we went as well and there were places to clean the sand off and places to eat!
Beautiful little beach! Surprisingly, not so crowded, which is very nice, it has a nice little trail you can take if you want to walk around and take pictures. There is plenty of space for a picnic.
Great place to watch the sunset. A limestone and ground down corals beach as many others on the island. The water is not fenced off but it's not suitable for swimming as it is very shallow. Bring some sort of shoes to get into the water. The water gets incredibly warm. Adorable looking rocks standing out in the water. There are places to sit in shade. Kiosk and bathroom nearby.

Highly recommend visiting this coral farm. Very cheap and a great experience. You can feed the sea turtles and fish, there’s a touch tank, and you can learn a lot about this fantastic local reef restoration program. They’re breeding UV resistant corals and lizards to help restore the ecosystem. All money from tickets seems to go towards their work here. As a bonus, the location is right next to a beach with a stone lookout you can walk on, and close by many restaurants/shops for a break.
Amazing small aquarium!! The workers and owner is extremely nice. They explained their story behind building this aquarium and it’s almost more like a sanctuary rather than aquarium. I have high respect for the people here. They have two sea turtles that they saved and are rehabilitating so they can go back out to sea. Their exhibit is beautiful and set to their environment perfectly. You can tell all the fishes and animals are taken care of with great love. Compared to Churami or other big Aquariums, I recommend here and it feels more ethical. You’re also paying for a good cause and it’s cheap for what it is. Totally recommend!!! Kid friendly as well!! Please support them and give this place some love.
I had the best time visiting. The entrance fee is 900¥ for adults and you learn and see so much. I was fascinated to discover the story of their miracle coral - in fact it gave me hope and inspiration for coral conservation and maintains the health of the oceans ecosystems. The turtle feeding is a nice bonus too and they had a baby white tip reef shark that would have happily joined in the feeding but I only had one fish to give. I am so impressed with their efforts I made an additional donation on my way out as it is a small token of appreciation for all the work they are doing. I highly suggest you visit this place!
We came here 10 years ago and were shocked to see how much has changed, for the better. It’s so beautiful and they’ve really made it a magical experience. We got to feed the turtles and saw gorgeous salt water fish. The outside is under renovation and we can’t wait to come back when thats open too. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Yomitan.
Great coral farm and highly recommend visiting. The ticket is not expensive and it’s so cool to be able to contribute to the coral restoration initiative they lead.
Great experience & nice people. Thank you to the team for doing this work for the coral reef! It was so fun feeding the fish & sea turtles.
This was a really cool little coral conservation area. It was 900 yen per adult and 300 yen for children 6+. Children 5 and under were free 😊. We were able to feed an eel and 2 sea turtles! There were a lot of beautiful orchids and other flowers in there as well. The area surrounding it was very pretty and fun to explore.
It’s location is so beautiful 😍 Crystal clear teal waters and green vegetation surround this little hidden gem. The staff was so friendly, lots and lots of fun facts in English. It’s beautiful seeing their coral grow. I love how they are helping rebuild the reefs. We really enjoyed feeding the fish and sea turtles. We ended up going back for more fish food. The blow fish was so cute spitting water at us 😂 My 11 year old son even loved it and he’s usually wanting to go home.

Not much to this restaurant stop. Unlike most, this one is just to take a break. They don't sell food however, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. You can grab food and come back to enjoy at the peaceful outside seating area.
A unique roadside station which is mainly informative and has an old preserved house as the station. Unlike typical roadside stations, this does not sell meals or souvenirs.

This roadside station is a historic spot, built on the site of a former guardhouse built during the Ryukyu Kingdom era. Unlike typical roadside stations, it doesn't have a shop or restaurant, so you can't buy souvenirs or eat there. Some people might find it lacking. Still, the roadside station has a lovely appearance. It's not a crowded tourist spot, so it's quiet and relaxing, which is one of its charms. What impressed me most was the warm hospitality of the staff. As it also functions as a tourist information center, they carefully explained the surrounding sights and history, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of the culture. I had visited nearby Chibichirigama before visiting, and they explained that to me as well. Although it's not a large facility, the kindness of the staff made it a memorable experience. I recommend stopping by as part of a historical stroll, rather than just visiting for a break or shopping. This was a really impressive little museum. It's right on the grounds of the castle ruins and was a nice break from the heat walking around. We did the paid admission which was 500 yen for adults and the kids were free. My kids were so interested in the skeleton of the guy who fell and hit his head. I love that it has a shirt of the skeleton getting up and walking away. They have a shrine you can walk inside and a little house you can walk in. They also have a dark bunker set up with surround sound. You can't take pics of the art museum on the 3rd floor, but there's some.extemelwy impressive piece up there! If you fill out a survey and return it to the front desk, they'll give you a little gift for good luck.
Typically we just head for the castle and pass by the museum. Thought we would check it out today. Nicely put together museum that details the history of Yomitan Village. 1 hour is plenty of time to explore.
Didn't get to see the museum because for some odd reason this place does not accept any type of credit or debit card. They only accept cards that only Japanese people would have or know about(paypay etc.). Me and my sons just ended up leaving. You would think that they would like to have the attention of tourist visiting Japan and would have different methods of payment like when I went to another Castle to visit but this place is not up to date. Beautiful parking ruins surrounding the place though.
After a displacement to visit the museum we could not see it because they don’t accept card payment. In the 21st century this is underwhelming.
It’s my favorite place for running! I have been here many time!! I love it!!!
I would totally start here and then go up to the castle, as they will connect you with an app that has narration for the museum and also AR components for the castle. It also gives an overview of the castle and how it was made, the rationale behind the wall design, and other interesting insights but would be useful to have before going up to the castle itself. The rest of the museum is also lovely, with cultural, household, arts, crafts, religious, and historical contexts since the Jomon period. When I went today they also had a small art exhibit from their permanent collection, and a student art exhibit from area schools.
interesting museum about the local culture, history, and nature! the entire museum is in Japanese but I could get by with Google translate lens :)
This museum was awesome and a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be! It’s mostly in Japanese, but maybe there is an English guide but I didn’t ask. Worth checking out!

Hacksaw Ridge Park in Okinawa is a powerful and humbling experience. As I walked through the park, I felt a deep sense of reverence and respect for the history that unfolded here. The rugged terrain and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean made me feel like I was standing on the front lines of one of World War II's most pivotal battles. The park's memorials and exhibits brought the stories of the soldiers to life, and I felt a lump in my throat as I reflected on the sacrifices made here. The views from the ridge are breathtaking, but it's the sense of history and sacrifice that truly makes this place special. A must-visit for anyone interested in history, war, or simply paying respects to those who served.
Just visited Havksaw Ridge and Desmond Doss Point. You would not believe the number of graves that line the road as you make your way to the parking lot, from whence you still have a climb to the summit. Once at the top you know why this was such a strategic point for both sides (pay attention to the pano spots). The movie definitely portrays the summit differently. From his ascent point it is only about 40m to the opposite side, the majority of it moves left and right. There was a castle structure up there and cave system which provided the cover for the Japanese. If you make it to Okinawa, it should be a definite visit.
Not terribly easy to find but worth the extra effort. Saw the movie Hacksaw Ridge on our flight to Okinawa and it was so meaningful to see the actual location. Use Google maps to go to the Hacksaw Ridge parking and other there are no obvious signs, wander up the hill and you will find it. The site is shared by an old castle and graves from Ryukyu Kings, There was also a nice older man with an ice cream shop directly adjacent to the parking lot behind the bushes. He was very friendly and kind!
I’m more of a movie buff than a history buff so it was nice to see the real life location behind the movie. Though standing there in the quietness you can’t help but propel your mind into what happened here during the war. Not only for the lives saved but the lives lost.
Hacksaw Ridge was a great place to visit. I would recommend doing a little research on the battle here before going so you can get an understanding on how intense the battle here was. There are also many plaques around the area discussing the historical sites. The park has a lot of vegetation that makes you feel like you are in the middle of a rainforest and not the city. You could spend at least an hour walking around the park and looking at historical sites.
I definitely recommend watching the movie either before or after just to grasp the magnitude or importance of this place. Definitely gave me a better picture of what happened at this historical site!
A few areas of interest here including Hacksaw ridge and Urasoe Castle. Some of the old tunnels are visible but not accessible. Most the Hacksaw Ridge is covered by vegetation but still pretty cool to visit this place. Its about and hour to walk around and see everything.
Peaceful and historically significant location in Okinawa. When you're visiting this definitely somewhere you'll want to check out. The trails are very friendly and there are plenty of monuments and landmarks to look at. Safe for families as well, make sure when you're trying to get here you Google "Hacksaw Ridge Parking." If you simply search for this point or Desmond Doss point you will be led around the park versus into it.

I ordered the ingredient set course and was delighted with the variety! 🍖 They provided pork, beef, and chicken – each was tender and full of flavor, leaving me totally satisfied. The ability to use a griddle, charcoal grill, and gas stove freely was a huge plus. Not to mention, they provided all the necessary utensils like tongs, kitchen scissors, and trays. The view was absolutely stunning 🌊. We had a wide-open view of the sea, making for a luxurious location. I've heard the sunsets are gorgeous on clear days. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and a bit chilly on our visit, but the venue, with walls on three sides, was surprisingly warm and comfortable. We even got a glimpse of a beautiful 'Angel Road' through the clouds. I forgot to take pictures, but the selection of about 30 types of seasonings was impressive. There were around five varieties each of soy sauce and salt, not to mention the abundance of barbecue and steak sauces, and A1 sauce. So many options, I couldn't try them all! 😋 We also opted for the all-you-can-drink alcohol package, which was a self-service with a wide variety to choose from, including beer, wine, shochu, and awamori. I'm not usually a fan of awamori, but the ones they had were so good that I ended up drinking them the most. The staff were very kind and helpful, which made our barbecue experience, as novices, really enjoyable. The dessert of roasted marshmallows with chocolate and crackers was also delicious. 🍫🔥 We're planning to try the bring-your-own-ingredients barbecue next time, and then book another ingredient set barbecue after that. Looking forward to it! 🌟
(Translated by Google) I had been curious about it for a long time, so my family and I used it for the first time! It's amazing that it comes with all-you-can-drink! The children were also very happy! I think this is the best campsite in Okinawa for family camping, as you can park your car near the camper, and the sea and BBQ room are right in front of you. Next time, I will ask for BBQ instead of bringing my own.
(Translated by Google) We received the best hospitality. Due to a mistake in the number of people, ingredients for 9 people were prepared for a reservation for 5 people. There were 4 children so it was booked as adults I realized it too late and realized it when I was paying the bill after all the meat had been grilled! There were quite a lot of ingredients here, so I couldn't eat all of them, so I wish I had noticed this before grilling the meat! I felt sorry for that, but since the order was for 5 people, when I talked to the staff member, she didn't look at me in any way, and instead apologized for the mistake, which made her very happy. We received a wonderful response. Great location, walking distance to the beach, reasonable price, and great customer service! ! It was great! ! I will definitely go again and recommend it to my friends and acquaintances. It was really delicious! Thank you very much for the wonderful time. Easy beginner cave with some split in the path. Some good water proof boots, gloves, and a helmet if you’re a taller individual is recommended.
This cave is so awesome!! I came with my toddler but can’t wait to bring the rest of the family back here! Parking is tricky as it’s in a residential area, but I parked on the side of the road across from the trail head. The trail was peaceful and the cave is amazing. There’s a nice path through the main cavern. We stopped at the end of the first cavern but I’ll head in further with the rest of the fam. I can’t wait!! Make sure to have sturdy shoes that can get wet, plenty of light and a good camera. For more info on the cave and its story check Okinawa Hai.
A hidden beautiful cave with historic background. As mentioned in the other reviews, must park in residential area (small narrow roads to get there btw), then follow the path to the cave. Lots of beware of snake signs however youll be fine if you stay on path. Cave have water following out of it for a really great scene. Can venture deeper into cave but need some kind of lighting.
It was definitely not easy to find (especially in the rain!) but we loved visiting Happy Cave! The easiest way to find the entrance is to approach from the Northeast, heading up the road. There will be a clearing and some signage off to the left, and a trail that leads down to the cave entrance. There are multiple caves that are connected, but you can't get very far without a strong light. Make sure to wear shoes you don't mind getting wet and that have good traction, as portions of the floor can be slippery.
Couldn't capture good pictures inside Shimuku Gama Cave. Highly advise to bring a headlamp, boots, and a floodlight. Prepare for crawling. If bringing a backpack, hope you don't mind getting it wet and muddy.
Beautiful cave with an amazing story of how thousands of lives were saved during the war. Also known as Happy Cave because of taxi drivers who spoke English were able to translate and tell the inhabitants of the cave they would be safe when they surrendered. Please remember to be respectful when visiting here.
We really were not 100% ready for this trip, coming to figure out this cave was super deep, however we managed to explore many chambers with what we had, iPhone lights a pack with water and a change of socks and shoes, gloves, recommended a light that fastens to your head, if a camera then a water bag in a small bag, clothing that covers arms and legs possibly swimming type gear. Other than this the experience was super cool.
Neutral. I went with my husband. I'm really not so comfortable with a completely dark environment. As reviewers said, definitely take torchlights. If you don't have, max value is very close, just go and get one. It's very slippery inside, take care!!

Had enjoyed lunch here very much. The restaurant even provide bib for eating squad soup( so delicious with mysterious black color!),very sweet 食堂!
Outstanding fresh fish and squid ink soup was delightful. Parking behind the building.
this is a small market located in yomitan, they offer set menus. The first floor accepts international payments such as master, visa while the second floor accepts cash only through a vending machine. Prices are a bargain for a donburi ranging from 950yen for a tuna bowl to 1950yen for a seafood mix don. You can also get the fish of the day dish where they give you what they have just caught. The quality is high as the fish is live caught. All in all, i reckon it's a down to earth local restaurant with fresh sea food. Definitely worth a visit if you are driving.
This restaurant serve various of delicious Japanese style seafood meal. The location just beside the fisherman wharf, so the seafood meal serve to customer is fresh. Restaurant environment and toilet is clean, entrance has a hand sanitizer. Parking area is available. Recommended restaurant for family member.
Not quite the busy place I would have imagined... It's actually on the sleepy side. Reckon visiting in the morning may make more sense. Still, I arrived around noon. Main aim was to eat at the seafood Market. Somewhat disappointed as its not quite Tsukiji hahah. Seafood quality is fresh but all the grilling and fried up, they have somewhat lost their sea legs... 😊 😉
We had a good lunch here with Nice place to find some food. Sashimi were just soso but the raw pawn was so great. 300Yen uni was not as good as those in Tokyo. The curry squid pork chop can be ignored, it's not good.
Fresh sashimi and great food with good price. Clean and nice place. But need to aware they only open until three so just for lunch. They also have open seating.
You can taste the freshest sashimi here. It’s also a good place close to harbor for your family to enjoy Japanese cuisine for the young and old.

Nice place to go for events
only down side is if there is ac i didnt feel it. but pretty nice otherwise. went for a dance showing and it was really nice. if you get a chance to see any shows here, come with friends im sure you’ll like it.
Needs to beef up the AC, especially for big events. Or maybe they’re just not turning it up and pocketing the difference?
Went there for a friends daughters Ballet recital. Parking was easy, very nice facilities, the performance was very good.
I have witnessed two friends graduate from college and walk across the stage with their respective degrees. I look forward to my turn coming in the near future. A beautiful facility definitely an uplifting place to see future professionals.
They have a calendar of events
Very nice venue. Comfortable seating.
The place where legends are made, dreams come to life, and perhaps the final resting place of D. B. Cooper
