Historical landmark
1800s religious campground noted for its colorful "gingerbread" cottages & central tabernacle.
Slide 1 of 8
This is the place you wanna come to if you’re looking to wander through the so-called gingerbread houses. Lots of colorful cottages all along winding pathways, with a gigantic, open air tabernacle at the center of the neighborhood along with a traditional church. Many signs ask you to walk your bike and there’s not a lot of bike racks around, but you could easily park it a few blocks away in the more commercial district and then walk over.
Great history to learn about and a beautiful residential area to walk through, iconic for Oak Bluffs. If you can go on a guided walking tour with the association, we highly recommend it. The tours are led by residents and the history and personal experiences you hear on the tour are wonderful and a bargain at $15 per person for 1.5 hours walking tour (no pre-registration, just show up 15 minutes before tour time at the historic open air Tabernacle). The tour ends at the Cottage Museum ($3 entrance fee is included in tour fee), which allows you to go inside a cottage that is filled with antiques and pictures…and also lovely docents/residents who have a set history speech, but will also answer questions. Even if you can’t do the guided walking tour, go wander around on your own through the maze of streets. The gingerbread, the paint colors, the flowers, the theme houses, and the architecture are all wonderful and a new surprise around every turn. Just remember, people live in these houses, so be respectful.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association in Oak Bluffs is a delightful retreat steeped in history and charm. The meticulously preserved gingerbread cottages create a storybook ambiance, while the sense of community is palpable. Conveniently located near beaches and amenities, it offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. This timeless gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable escape.
Definitely do a walk-through! We drove some of it, and that was nice, but you really do soak up the charm better when you're on foot. The kids weren't sure they'd enjoy it, but turns out pink, frilly houses are a big highlight with little girls and the boys were happy to skip rocks until they found the perfect "distinguished" cottage for themselves. Absolutely charming! Put it on your must-do list.
Such a cool storybook camp. Interesting history. Very beautiful with its own characteristics. Never seen anything like this in the states. Highly recommend a visit!
Beautiful to walk around the circle of these historic gingerbread homes in Oak Bluffs. Very shady nice area also just off the main drag of shops and eateries.
What a great summer place. The houses are all decorated wonderfully. A great place to raise kids. It's nice and shady to walk around.
I recommend walking off of the main circle. You can get up close the the houses and you can even see inside some if the people are on the porch with the door open. You can also see that these houses are somewhat modern with propane tanks and power transformers.

Beautiful and breathtaking beach in the Cape Cod, Massachusetts area! The lighthouses gives this place its name and for good reason. The white sandy beaches are perfect to walk and sit on! The water is a beautiful blue color although a little bit on the chilly side. Plenty of parking is available although it does fill up fast on the weekends and holidays. Very clean and safe! My favorite beach in the northeastern part of the country!
Beautiful beach with clear warm shallow water. If you go early you won't have problem to park but remember you can park and stay 2 hours. Until 11.30 we never had problem moving the car to another spot. You walk 5 minutes (I think less) to get to the lighthouse. The walk is very beautiful, peaceful and the view all around is so...perfect. The is not crowded, most of the people come see the lighthouse and go. Some people walk there with their dogs...not many people stay at the beach for a long time. Lots of beautiful seashells. Absolutely a must see.
Take a break from down town Egartowm and enjoy a stroll along the water, past beautifully manicured mansions and yards until you arrive at the paths to lighthouse beach. It's a nice hike with plenty of scenery on both sides of the path. The lighthouse is beautiful and a great photo op with the family. When open, the stairs to the top lead to a awesome 360 degree panoramic view. The beach is not huge, but there is plenty of room to hang out and enjoy watching the sail boats in the harbor.
The beach isn't the best but the lighthouse is very well kept up. A great view of the shoreline
Easy walk to the lighthouse offers beautiful views all around. Worth the climb to the top for a small donation.
Relaxing short walk with nice 360 degree view of pretty much everywhere. Neat lighthouse. Nice calm sandy beach and a little boat yard. Peaceful.
Loved that we could walk in the sand to see the lighthouse up close. We enjoyed watching the seagulls dropping shells to release the food on the rocks around the base.
It was interesting to see the inside of a lighthouse. This one I do not recommend being small children as you have to climb a ladder at at the top.

Pristine, tranquil and family friendly. Even though it’s not very swimmable here, it’s my go-to beach during my stay at Edgartown. It’s just so therapeutic in so many ways. I haven’t seen any drunk people making scenes here. I haven’t seen anyone trashing this place. That 30 minute walk on the clean and somewhat dense sand with my loved ones remain one of core memories. Let’s keep it this way people.
Great sand! Great waves! Could use more modern amenities, such as bathrooms and showers. Overall, a must visit whenever in MV!
Great beach with plenty of space even when crowded! Water was clean and waves were fun to swim in. Parking is also easy which is a plus! Beach rolling chairs are available for people with handicaps. Would recommend
HUGE waves. Took an easy bus ride here from the ferry. No life guards. I usually swim but the waves here were intimidating. Beautiful beach.
I love South Beach, easy street parking, bathrooms, clean beach / water.
There are a lot of seagulls and big waves, there are rest rooms located right by the beach and lifeguard towers.
Beautiful beach big waves, life guards, bathrooms,
Another beautiful beach, good to fair parking

Arrive early if you want sunset photos. Parking lot fills up quickly. Bathrooms available until 5pm down the hill. Port a potties on site. Lots of little shops but close ay 5pm.
Absolutely Beautiful cliffs overlooking the water and lighthouse.Great photo ops along the way. Lots of fun. Great little shops with super cool goodies to purchase. Food, especially the clam chowder was hot and delicious at one of the little food shops!
The most beautiful place ! So worth the 30-40 min ride from the Oak Bluffs Ferry. The cliffs are free to view -just gorgeous & the lighthouse is cool - but it costs $6 to go up in the lighthouse. Some people take beach bags & go hangout on the beach all day(like having your own private beach!) There are a few artists booths to shop & a food stand if you are hungry. There is also a small museum about the original inhabitants of the island, the Wampanoag Tribe. You can rent Mini Cooper or Jeep at the port & drive yourself to the cliffs, but they are rented by the day, so if you are only spending a few hours there, you should either take the free bus (free bus is only during tourist season) or get a Lyft or Uber to the cliffs - but if you do, make sure to ask your Lyft or Uber driver wait if you are not staying long or you will have to catch a bus! (Most drivers don’t like the requests to drive there because they have to drive all the way back alone/no pay if you choose to stay for a while)
It doesn't get any better! Best views on Martha's Vineyard hands down! A must visit when on the island. I used it as a backdrop for my social media and fashion pictures and video!
A beautiful stop to take if your looking for a picture perfect scenary on the island. There is a nice trail of locals artisan shops as you head to the overlook! Be sure to get you a Yommi pop from the first store on the right. Locally made, real ingredients, and delicious! There's not much to do other than take pics, but there is a huge field. So if your taking the waiting for the bus with a group bring a Frisbee or ball to throw around in the large field. We didn't go down to the beach area but that looked nice as well. Also, it's $6 per pers[over 12] to enter the light house. We opted not to, as the scenary was beautiful from the overlook.
Arrived mid afternoon after a very rainy morning. To get here by bus from Vineyard Haven requires two buses and is a bit lengthy, but the buses are timed well so we didn’t have to wait too long for the transfer and we had some very nice conversations with locals and tourists alike on the journey. Note that the #5 bus that goes to Aquinnah only comes once per hour, so you either are staying for 1 or 2 hours. Due to the foggy weather, we could barely see the cliffs and couldn’t see the lighthouse at all from the Overlook upon our arrival. And, only one of the little shops as well as the snack stand were open – the cultural center was also closed. We greatly enjoyed an hour+ walk to and on the beach (access to the beach is through a field from beside the cultural center and is the only beach access that we could find). The cliffs should definitely be seen from the water level, not just from the overlook. We were fortunate that by the time we returned from our beach walk, the fog had lifted and we had a better view from the overlook. We also walked to the lighthouse, which unfortunately was also closed due to the weather.
The Aquinnah Cliffs are one of those places that make you wonder if G-d had an extra burst of creativity that day. Layers of red, brown, and gold clay rise up like a painting you can walk beside, and the Atlantic stretches out like it’s never going to end. You stand there, wind in your face, and suddenly your to-do list feels very small. It’s not just beautiful—it’s peaceful. There’s a quiet dignity to the place, like it’s been watching the world change for thousands of years and isn’t in a rush to join the chaos. You can take the short walk down to the beach, hear the waves crash against the shore, and just breathe. Bring a camera, but also put it down. Some things you want to remember with your eyes, not just your phone. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a heartfelt “wow.”
Miles of private beach, a sight worth seeing, Don't forget to visit museum at the top of the mountain to learn about the Wampanoag tribes. The stories were amazing. This was about. 35 minute ride from Oak bluff , can catch a bus or Uber.

Fun and affordable horseback riding. Experience the Famous Flying Horses. Unfortunately, this horse was disqualified from ride due to this gelding behavior. Best boy ever! Mr. Handsome
Had to do it. It's a thing here at OB. $5.00 a ride though. Pretty steep. Horses do not go up and down. I didn't get the hype but it's done and we can move on
Historic site. Very busy. Great spot for kids. Pick up a copy of the Vineyard Gazette near the checkout counter and complete the Treasure Hunt.
If you ever find yourself on Martha’s Vineyard, you must stop by the Flying Horses in Oak Bluffs. It’s not just a carousel, it’s a piece of living history. Built in the 1870s and still going strong, it’s actually the oldest operating carousel in America. And when you walk into that little red barn and hear the music start, you feel like you’ve stepped straight into another time. The horses themselves are works of art, hand-carved, with real horsehair manes. They don’t go up and down like modern rides, but trust me, the magic is still there. Especially because of the brass ring game. As you spin around, you lean out and try to catch a ring. Most are steel, but if you snag the elusive brass one, mazel tov, you’ve earned yourself a free ride. That’s what happens to my son. It was so fun! And honestly, there’s something so joyful and pure about seeing both kids and adults stretch, laugh, and cheer each other on. What I love most is the feeling it gives you. It’s not about thrills or flashing lights. It’s about simple joy, shared tradition, and that sweet reminder that happiness is often found in the little things. Riding it with my family, I could feel generations before us doing the same, smiling and reaching for that brass ring. It’s not just a ride, it’s a metaphor for life. So yes, go ride the Flying Horses. Laugh, grab the rings, and let yourself be carried for a few minutes into a world where joy is uncomplicated and timeless.
I visited Flying Horses many times during my childhood and look back on those experiences with fond memories. I was able to bring my family yesterday after not having gone for 20 years and I was amazed to see that it has remained the same and they have done an amazing job with preserving it. The only thing that has changed about this place are the prices and one ticket cost $5. The ride probably lasted around 3 minutes and you are essentially paying over 1.50 a minute. My family wanted to go for a second time but I could not see paying another $30 dollars. I recall going on it many times back in the day because it was so inexpensive.
Such a cool historic place to visit with this still active and beautiful carousel.
Amazing that they have preserved a 150 year old carousel.
A vintage indoor carousel with a small game room attached. A good place for small children to enjoy some entertainment.

Travellers, chappaquidick is an iconic and gorgeous must-see spot on Martha’s Vineyard. The beach is beautiful and you can drive right on the beach for miles and miles. The views are never ending and they are located in each and every corner of this barrier island. The bay side of the island is gorgeous. The ocean side of the island is gorgeous. There are shells of every sort so shelling is fantastic here. There are live scallops washed up on the shore sitting bucolically in the sand. It is not cheap to get there however. You must pay the trustees $200 to gain access to all their lands on Martha’s Vineyard. It is worth the price. There are other places to go and other beaches to visit. Check it out. We recommend. TLDR gorgeous beach Wilderness.
We took the Chappy Ferry and biked to Wasque Point. Nice ride, but but several small hills. Also part of road is packed sand. At end of road there is a bike rack. It's impossible to ride bike in the sand. If you're a nature-lover, this is definitely worth it. Lots of wildlife to observe. Port a potty at Wasque Point.
Best island around New England, but I’m bias.
"Chappy" still has some of the most virgin land on the east coast and whether by land or sea it is still possible to find vast streatches of beach without a soul for miles. It is popular for fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, and has a small and secluded population. By car a ferry is necessary from Edgartown and the wait and cost is typically reasonable. I prefer to visit by boat into the magestic Cape Pogue bay though most areas can be reached by multiple means. Tourists will enjoy finding the bridge where Kennedy killed his girlfriend but don't expect it to look as it did back in the 60s (the bridge has been upgraded since the controversial incident). "Chappy" is a special place and it's a great way to get a sense for the island's reputation without trespassing.
What an amazing place to go for a relaxing weekend, ten stars all the way!
Stayed on Chappy in 2008 and 2009. I’ve traveled a bit since then, both in the States and abroad. My time on Chappy remains my favorite vacation. The world slipped away for a time. The beaches, the simplicity, my daily walks down the road to the ferry and over into Edgartown before the residents were out and about. Our sunset cocktail hour out on the grass overlooking the water. I still savor every day of my time there.
Lovely day trip. The Cape Poge Lighthouse tour was beautiful and the scenery was amazing! Our guide was a sharp and knowledgeable man named Dick. Totally worth going to see. We brought our lunch and sat on a beach and watched the boats go by. A nice quiet day and a beautiful drive. The ferry was not a bad wait. They keep the line moving.

Excellent spot to relax and watch the ocean on a nice sunny day
Real nice park. Lots of geese
It was a Lou Reed kinda perfect day. We zipped around the eastern shores on juiced up e-bikes.
beautiful place to take pics and walk around
Great place to hang out on the lawn with amazing views of the ocean and Vineyard homes. Walking distance to the ferry as well.

We had an amazing time visiting Island Alpaca Company near Vineyard Haven! We were lucky enough to see two adorable baby alpacas, and the staff was incredibly friendly, even bringing them over for us to pet up close. The alpacas were super friendly and came right up to the fence, which made it easy to see them up close. The gift shop was also a highlight, offering lots of high-quality, cute items. The $8 entry fee was totally worth it for such a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Martha’s Vineyard!
Had a very pleasant 1.5 hour visit with the llamas and their guardian alpacas just after the 10 am opening on a Wednesday morning. Fun to watch the herd interact with each other and their handlers in the paddock. Very informative and nice handlers who answered everyone’s questions and explained about the farm and the animals. You can pet them (so soft) and take lots of fun pictures from outside the fence. We were fortunate to see a 3 day old baby on his first day outside of the barn. There are two paddock areas to see them – one out in the open and one that has shade and seats. Though kids will love this, it is also very interesting for adults, too. Lots of unique items made from their wool in the gift shop. Nominal admission which we were happy to pay to help the farm continue.
If you love alpacas and/or lamas then this is your place! Animals are well kept and sweet. Great place for small kids. Employees/volunteers are knowledgable. Cute little gift shops woth options ranging from $4-over $100. Easily accessible via public transportation.
We went to Island Alpaca today with the kids and it was a blast! The alpacas are so cute and gentle, and the kids loved petting them (okay… so did we). The staff was super friendly and happy to answer all our questions. The farm is clean, easy to walk around, and there’s a little shop with the softest alpaca socks and scarves. It’s a short visit but such a fun one, perfect little break in the day. Definitely one of those “only on Martha’s Vineyard” experiences.
Pretty cool place to visit if you’re in the area! I was a little concerned at first but the entry is very cheap so I figured let’s give it a shot and I was not disappointed. There were a number of knowledgeable staff there to answer questions, and I guess we came at feeding time which was funny to see the Llamas freak out about food. I learned quite a bit for my time there and would go back if I get the chance. The gift shop is quite expensive but I don’t mind supporting local businesses so we bought a cute little llama with a hat. Overall it’s quite out of the way but there is a bus that drops you off right in front so if your in the island and have some time do check it out, it’s pretty cool!
Fun place to see alpacas! Bring your kids, since they can pet alpacas. Watch out for some of them (alpacas) can spit. Gift shop has lots of souvenirs. A vintage tractor can be seen also.
This isn’t my cup of tea, but did I leave with an extremely happy gf ? Yes i did. Everyone was nice, it was like $5, can’t say any of the souvenirs were cool for me but we did play with some of the alpacas and llamas. Don’t forget llamas are spitters, so be prepared !
If you are looking for something to do during a non-beach day, this is a great spot for families. Nice location, friendly staff, and ALPACAS. Educational trip as well.

Any time I am lucky enough to get to the Vineyard, I act as tour guide to friends(easier to do this in the off season) A trip to Aquinnah is always on the agenda. The views are legendary, the history is interesting and there are some really nice shops on site for the traveler to snag some nice items. Very impressive
We walked up to the lighthouse and were greeted with a friendly smile. As we paid, we got a few minute detailed information about the lighthouse and its history. We walked the 34 steps to the top and admired the view for several minutes before coming back down. Great spot for a quick history lesson and great view from a historic symbol.
A beautiful brick lighthouse overlooking the cliffs at Aquinnah. Plenty of parking. This area features some of the best sunsets you'll find anywhere. Though this is the east coast, Aquinnah is on the west coast of the Vineyard. Much of the land is owned by a Native American nation, and they maintain shops nearby. There's soft serve ice cream.
Nice lighthouse not too big. You can climb to the top, which is pretty neat since it is still an operation.
Great views, fun history. Little shops and bakeries close by. Probably a 1-2 hour visit, or longer if you want to eat breakfast or lunch looking out over the ocean.
Small lighthouse atop the “cliffs”. Nice to take the free busses around the island and see the other side of the vineyard. Little walkway to view and then a walk up to the lighthouse - there is a charge to enter the lighthouse.
A bit of a drive on windy roads to get there. The views and history are interesting. Free parking for 90 minutes. If you want to also use the nearby beach, parking is $30 and the walk down a path is about 15 minutes.
Such a cute place and easy to find! It was a perfect weather day to see everything! We missed the inside the lighthouse tour, but would go if we made it on time!

Morning Glory Farm is one of the best farms on island in my opinion. A family farm, they supply ingredients to so many island homes and restaurants. Thankful because I live just five minutes away! If you're visiting, it's a must because it's a great spot to stock up for food if you're staying in a rental and wanting to cook local island produce. Also a great farm stand to pick up beach food - they have everything from a delicious salad bar to baked goods, cheeses, crackers, charcuterie, and so much more. Need peanut butter? They grind their own and it comes in a glass jar (yei no plastic!); need flowers for a dinner, they have them; want some beach plum jam, they make their own - also their strawberry jam is amazing! Plus they have ready. to eat dinners like tacos, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and so much more, easy to reheat when you're on the go. Morning Glory Farm - definitely a favorite on island!
Nice market with a good selection of produce and dry goods along with fresh baked goods and prepared foods to go. Not as extensive of a selection as some of the other markets but still a great place to pick up fresh ingredients for all your cooking needs.
It's a beautiful store with wonderful produce. And my wife thought that the veggie black bean burger was to die for. I liked the homemade oatmeal raisin cookie with a cup of ice coffee. Great place to spend a half hour picking up food for dinner.
Best produce on the island! Great baked goods and prepared foods. Lovely regular events (always check their social media). Kind and informed staff. Beautiful displays and sweet gifts as well.
Our team gives Morning Glory Farm five stars. Our go-tos: the banana bread (moist, not too sweet), sesame noodles (perfect grab-and-go), and sourdough (crackly crust, chewy crumb). The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, even during rushes. Bonus: the rocking chairs on the porch are perfect for catching up on emails while enjoying a local snack. A must-stop for both locals and visitors.
Accessible off the bike trail or by car, Morning Glory Farm serves breakfast pastries and also has a great selection of vegetables, breads, meats and fruit. Seasonal outdoor decor too
Sadly morning glory changed their blueberry muffin recipe in the last year and they're just not the same! The OG muffin that has been a staple for years and years was so much better- taste, size, and texture. Please bring back the old recipe for blueberry muffins!!
Morning Glory Farm is the place to go if you're looking for fresh produce, cheese, and meat. They also sell coffee, kombucha, soup — and a whole bunch of other goodies to stock your home with while you're on the Vineyard. While it can be busy at times, Morning Glory moves people through the check-out line quickly, so it's never a pain.

How lovely the sunset is in this beach. However, you may need to take the shuttle for parking and it’s very far.
This is a great place to watch the sunset. Grab a bite to eat at one of the fresh fish markets a few feet away from the beach, and eat on the beach. Parking is very limited but there is some street parking but will require you to walk a bit. Great place foe families and there is also a place to fish. There arw some large rocks near the shoreline so be careful. Unfortunately a marine layer rolled in about an hour before sunset so we weren't able to see the sunset, but we still had a great time eating lobster on the beach.
great spot to watch the sunset! make sure to grab some delicious food at the fish market ☺️
Small beautiful beach, but the place where the bus stop smells so bad
Such a nice spot for a family beach day and sunset! Kids loved this beach and if you can find parking you will also! Clean beach, clean restrooms, great seafood options too.
A great location to watch the sunset. Get there early if you want a parking spot, it fills up fast close to sundown.
Travellers, this is a lovely little beach and harbor. The beach is lovely and rocky but makes for a good beach walk. The pier is perfect for fishing and the views of lobsterville beach are beautiful. Downtown menemsha is there and it consists of several shops and a delicious fish store/restaurant called Larsens which is worth the stop. Walk around and enjoy the shops or get a lobster roll and enjoy the view. It’s worth the trip. Check it out. We recommend. TLDR nice beach and marina

Exploring the East Chop Lighthouse by bike was a fantastic decision! Located on a bluff in Oak Bluffs, this classic Martha's Vineyard landmark offers stunning, sweeping views of Vineyard Sound. Riding our bikes to the lighthouse was a great way to see the area. The ride itself was enjoyable and a peaceful way to approach the site. Once there, the views from the bluff are breathtaking, perfect photo op. While the lighthouse isn't always open for tours, the grounds are easily accessible and provide a wonderful vantage point. You can truly feel the history of this beacon. It's a beautiful and peaceful spot, and getting there on two wheels made the experience even better. It's a definite must-see on any biking tour of the island.
Small lighthouse in a small park with nice views and a few benches. Cannot go into the lighthouse. If you have a car and are driving between Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven, certainly worth a stop. We didn’t have a car, so took the #13 bus and were dropped off at E Chop Drive & New York Avenue – you have to ask the driver to let you off as this is not a standard stop. 25 minute walk by Crystal Lake, where we saw a pair of swans and lovely seaside homes. After the lighthouse, we walked back to New York Avenue on the slightly busier Munroe St (also 25 minutes) to wait for the next #13 bus. We enjoyed the walk, but it is likely not worth it for some people.
You can get a pretty view at sunset. It's not in the lounge if the sun, but the clouds can cast a beautiful background in the middle of summer.
This is one of the most serene and peaceful places I've visited.
A smaller lighthouse is only open during the day, a small park with access to the hill to the water.
The lighthouse itself is fascinating to see, but the small museum inside is definitely worth the visit. The museum is very tiny, but is also very informative. It's free to walk around the small room on the ground floor, but costs $5 to climb to the top of the lighthouse. The staff at the front desk was super friendly and very excited to talk about the lighthouse. The only downsides are that the climb to the top is not accessible if you cannot climb a ladder, it's very, very tiny on top, and it also gets quite hot and stuffy. If you can climb up and stand the couple minutes of heat, the view from the top is absolutely worth the $5!
If your biking here be prepared for a big hill at the end.
The lighthouse itself isn't open to the public, but you are able to get up close to take photos. It has bench seating that overlooks the ocean.

Fabulous gem found on Chappaquiddick, excellent for exploration & quote reflection. The animals were a treat to watch. 14-acres total with Japanese-inspired woodlands. Follow winding footpaths and discover quiet spots with benches for pausing. Ideal for adults but our kids did love exploring too!
Beautiful! Worth the entry fee. Took approximately 20-30 minutes to go through whole garden. Port a potties at entry. Plenty of parking. Picnic tables available.
The entrance to the Garden is on a gravel road. The garden was open during winter. But it wasn't crowded. The garden was greenish even in the winter. But I believe it should be beautiful during the spring and summer months. You can spend an hour or so and cover it. Or you can sit on a bench by the pond and contemplate.
We rode bikes over to visit here and we loved spending time in this tranquil spot. It's $5 cash donation to enter and you can spend as long as you like here. It's full of beautiful trees, plants, water features and places to sit, relax and take it all in. Lovely friendly staff too. Well worth a visit for a bit of calm and you can head over to the beach after too.
It ok nothing amazing but did get to see the snapping turtle Should maby try to clear the water a bit more and more plants
Gorgeous and well maintained garden. Well worth visiting on any trip to Chappaquiddick.
A beautiful and peaceful little garden on Chappy that's worth the visit if you love nature, Japanese style gardens, or just a peaceful place to meditate. For only $5, you can escape the hustle and bustle of Martha's Vineyard and enter a garden of tranquility. Worth noting, the road to the garden isn't paved, so expect a dirt road full of bumps and pebbles. The drive is worth it though, just go slow.
The rock garden (pictured) is trash, you have to squint so hard you eyes are closed and you are only listening to your girlfriend read off the the typo filled laminated guide to understand that its a lighthouse and harbor.
