The Black Dog Bakery Café is a part of the popular Black Dog brand, known for its casual wear, accessories, and gifts featuring their signature dog logo. Located in Vineyard Haven, it offers a variety of breakfast items and lunch sandwiches along with coffee from early morning till evening. The café is famous for its budget-friendly and delicious breakfast sandwich called the Woofer. Additionally, they are known for their muffins and homemade bread.
The Buffalo chicken loaded tots were outstanding, and the iced coffee was flawless. The cod fish sandwich was good, but the bread overshadowed the fish. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu.

Just went in for a snack and a beer, so can't comment beyond that. The server was very nice and attentive. Can't recommend the chowder due to portion size. Came in a coffee mug and half a it was croutons. What little portion you get was very good, just not much of it. Oh and a pint of draft beer should come in something other than a mason jar, just saying.
Mark G — Google review
Get coffee, get bagel, admire the case. Get a sandwich on ciabatta. People are very nice but have a lot of work issues maybe staffing or training. Greasy sandwich that couldn't be picked up and was salt and grease. Cannoli with a brick of chocolate inside.
Ian W — Google review
We ordered take out fish and chips. The fish stunk, it was that bad - We notified management. A refund was promised, but never paid. Very disappointing. As far as the athmosphere: This was a warm and welcoming space before they renovated it to maybe achieve a modern feel. But the charm of the old cafe is gone. I loved the way it was before. The long counter was great, because while waiting, you could delight in looking at all the yummy desserts, pies, cakes, bread etc. But the bad fish and no refund as promised - truly a shame, and makes me never want to go back again. There are better venues nearby.
Elaine V — Google review
Long-time fan, first time back since they remodeled. It really doesn’t feel like the black dog anymore. It now looks like a generic corporate chain, none of the original charm. Somehow modern but already dated. The service was also bad, and after waiting at the counter for a while as employees walked around talking to each other and ignoring us, we had to flag someone down to take our order. The guy was incredibly blunt/aggressive and a bummer to interact with and got our orders wrong. Food was ok but no breakfast at 11am seems weird. It really breaks my heart to say but I won’t be going back.
Ryan B — Google review
This is what I have found to be the most consistently delicious and high quality restaurant in the vineyard. It is not fancy, but it is great food. Guaranteed crowd pleaser as there is a bit of everything. I have only tried one thing here that I wasn't a huge fan of! This place rocks!
Skylar B — Google review
I truly enjoyed my first time experience at the Black Dog Bakery Cafe for lunch! The warmth and inviting atmosphere, coupled with friendly customer service, truly set the stage for an enjoyable visit. The unique and flavorful coffee surpassed my expectations leaving a lasting impression. The thoughtful display of merchandise and the dog-friendly ambiance add a charming touch for canine enthusiasts. The classic train car and outdoor seating provide a lovely setting for patrons to savor their meals. The Black Dog Bakery and Cafe is a gem with their deliciously rich peanut butter cups for gluten-free lovers, and irresistible cupcakes and other delicious homemade Bakery items. It's clear that The Black Dog Cafe has earned a special place in my list of favorite eateries.
Juliet M — Google review
We waited 30 minutes for our breakfast. When my coffee was handed to me it was luke warm. The eggs were cold and hard, not over medium like ordered, the toast was cold and not toasted, the sausage was cold and rubbery, the hashbrowns were cold and not edible because they were so hard. For a place that charges 20 dollars for breakfast, I can make at home for a 3rd of the price and 100 times better and cooked to the way it's supposed to be. Highly disappointed!

Scottish Bakehouse is a charming bakery located in Vineyard Haven on Martha's Vineyard. The locally run establishment offers a cozy atmosphere with outdoor seating and serves a variety of light fare, sweets, and gluten-free snacks. Emphasizing sustainable farming, Scottish Bakehouse sources ingredients from its on-site farm and local growers, ensuring fresh and high-quality produce for their soups, sandwiches, omelets, and more.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Scottish Bakehouse is an absolute gem on Martha's Vineyard! As a vegan, finding delicious and healthy options can sometimes be a challenge, but this place exceeded all expectations. Their selection of vegan baked goods is simply divine, from fresh breads to delectable pastries, each bite bursting with flavor and wholesome goodness. Not only is the food outstanding, but the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal. Whether you're a local or just visiting the island, Scottish Bakehouse is a must-visit destination. You won't be disappointed!

I can't recommend Scottish Bakehouse enough for all your upcoming events! They catered our wedding and the food was out of this world. Our guests are still raving about their lobster roll sliders. A huge thank you to Kristie, Caitlyn, and their staff for making this experience amazing for my husband and I!!!
Shauna H — Google review
I used to love this place but I was extremely disappointed with my lunch this past Sunday. I placed my order online, and left my phone number. Apparently they ran out of the mango salsa, a key ingredient in the black bean plate, didn't bother to call me and when I got home with my meal I found some chopped tomatoes and red onions, massively disappointing. Why wouldn't you call the customer? I would have changed my meal entirely, instead I was stuck with a bland meal. On top of that the dish was 90% rice and only 2.5 plantains. I can't believe I paid $18 for that. At least the guy at the counter was friendly but that doesn't make up for the mediocre food. Honestly don't think I'll ever be back. As an island native I have religiously dined here every time I come to visit family, unfortunately this will be my last time. Makes me sad as this has always been my favorite island restaurant, especially since there aren't many vegan options here, but the quality had slowly decreased over the years and now I'll have to find new favorite.

Seems like a bunch of Liberals are trying to splice hairs. Albeit, staff is sometimes fickle, and owning and operating a serious business on MARTHA'S VINEYARD is no easy gambit, Dani Dominick is by far the most successful woman in her region. She tries to cater to EVERYONE, including her staff. Do you know how hard it actually is to please EVERYONE?!?!...Let's have some positivity for the good things! I remember this place when it was in it's infancy, and it still ROCKS today! Food is awesome. Staff needs to just chill. Tourists suck! Just do what you do and enjoy this SOULFOOD! Because that's what it is.
Sam D — Google review
My favorite spot for sandwiches and pastries on the island! I’ve been coming here for years, and both the service and food have been consistently excellent. The portions are generous, so I usually have leftovers for a second meal. The last thing I had was a linguiça sandwich with plantains — it was so good that I finally went out of my way to write a review :) They’re also very accommodating toward gluten sensitivity.
Suelen K — Google review
The Bakehouse is a great spot for quick coffee to go or a long lunch outside on the lawn. One of the best breakfast sandwiches on-island, hands down. Looking to avoid the crowds? Go where the locals go!

Visited in the morning on a Sunday in late August. Busy little shop, good amount of parking and outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Nice range of baked goods, sandwiches/burgers, pretty tasty coffee. Had a good visit here and would happily return again at some point in the future.

If you're looking for delicious, grab-and-go treats while in Edgartown, Rosewater Market & Takeaway is the perfect spot. With a wide range of items to choose from, this market is perfect for on-the-go breakfast or lunch. The coffee is always fresh and the chicken sandwiches are some of the best around - definitely worth a visit!
Rosewater is a fantastic spot for a casual meal in Edgartown. The place was busy when I visited, but the service was efficient and quick — a sign of how popular it is. As a first-time customer traveling for work, I wasn’t disappointed. The sandwich I ordered was excellent, full of flavor, and the coffee was just as good. It’s a great place to stop with the whole family, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Highly recommend if you’re in town and looking for a tasty bite with friendly, fast service.
Time L — Google review
Cute spot in town to grab breakfast and/or coffee. I have popped in twice to get breakfast. The first time I had the overnight oats with banana and chocolate chip which I thought was a bit too chocolate chip heavy and the second time I got the yogurt granola parfait. The parfait was fine but the house made granola tasted a touch on the burned side to me and I do wish it came with some kind of fruit as well. Nice outdoor seating area as well as a small hot dish menu which I have not tried.
Maggie J — Google review
Ate here everyday for almost a week when I visited the island. My favorite was the Egg Sandwich - the homemade biscuit was so, so good! I also had the Spicy Peanut Bowl and Kimchi Fried Rice which were just okay. The Caesar Salad Wrap needs a little more Caesar dressing for flavor and it needs more lettuce so you're not biting mostly on tortilla wrap. Chicken Sandwich was good. As for the drinks, the Matcha Latte I did not care for, but Chai Latte and Hot Chocolate were good.
Alexis C — Google review
Stoped by on the breakfast, it was more than good. Waiting in line for 10-15 minute, and more 5-10 minutes for food, plenty of space to sit, inside or outside, better view and experience outside. Girls at counter are very capable and fast in their job, well done. Chairs outside isnt so comfortable. Great place to stop for breakfast, coffe and working on your laptop while enjoying the view of summer street and nice guests. I recomend Egg island, breakfast in bowl alternative, add more eggs because you wil get just one, avocado is great. Great place to meet nice people , girls. They offer breakfast, cofee, lunch, brunch, dinner, sweet pantries, cookies, you can buy island made products as coffe, meat,.. They have also ornaments, shirts, cups, and bunch of different things.
Niko F — Google review
The BLT was very well done! I'd recommend it. It's a pleasant place in town to eat outside on a delightful summer day.

Hubby and I stopped by for breakfast. They had a small menu for breakfast and lunch but yummy choices! They had some gluten free bakery treats which was great for hubby!! I ordered bacon egg and cheese on a homemade English muffin. FYI they only have cheddar or goat cheese for cheese options. It was hot fresh and yummy. Hubby had the loaded hash browns and added scrambled eggs but no sour cream. When I opened the container to take a picture it was not what I was expecting but hubby said it was good. It must have been because he did not share!! We will be back tomorrow for the gluten free treats!!Hubby also had a medium roast coffee he said it was good but loves cream in his coffee but he has yet to find cream on the island.

The egg sandwich with goat cheese is incredible, and is huge!! The place is really nice and all staff were so friendly. This is a great place if you’re looking for a very yummy breakfast. Highly recommend!

Bakery
Sweet Bites is a charming pink bakery located in downtown Vineyard Haven, just steps away from the ferry. It's known for offering some of the sweetest treats on the island, including heart-shaped desserts and chocolate-covered strawberries during Valentine's Day. The bakery has a wide selection of both savory pastries and sweets, with popular items being cake slices and truffles. Visitors can enjoy their delicious treats indoors or outdoors in a cozy seating area.
I stumbled upon Sweet Bites while exploring Vineyard Haven, and I’m so glad I did. This little spot has such a warm and inviting vibe—you instantly feel at ease the moment you walk in. I ordered a mix of sweet and savory items, and everything was spot on. The Brazilian-style empanadas were flavorful and satisfying, and the pastries had that perfect homemade touch. You can tell this place isn’t just about food—it’s about sharing culture and comfort through every dish. Their coffee was another highlight. Rich, smooth, and served with a smile. I ended up sitting outside for a bit, enjoying the peaceful patio and people-watching while I snacked. Customer service was excellent—super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s a great place whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in with your laptop for an hour. Just a heads-up: parking in the area can be limited, especially in the summer. But trust me, once you taste what they’re serving, you won’t mind the walk. If you're looking for a place that feels like a warm hug in food form—Sweet Bites is it. Definitely adding it to my must-visit list whenever I’m on the island.
Smarteam K — Google review
Very polite and nice people. The menu looks delicious. The cappuccino and brigadeiro were great. I definitely will stop by again next time I come back to Vineyard Haven. Great seating area outside and inside is super cute.
Tabi S — Google review
Cake smooshed in a container like they couldn't be bothered to fix it. Food sits for long periods and was super super dry. Brigaderos were trendy but not cared for so they just didn't have good taste.
Ian W — Google review
I know this place is known for their Sweet Treats and pastries, but their Brazilian empanadas and other specialties are why i'm always going back.
Vincent M — Google review
Iced turmeric latte & acai bowls were excellent !!! Outdoor seating is charming & the service was very quick during a rush with only 1 person working!
Olivia D — Google review
I got the sausage egg and cheese croissant. The sausage patty was as large as a hamburger. It was enough to share. We also have had the delicious baked goods. My Niece loves their fresh hot churros. I ordered a chicken sandwich w/pesto. It was okay but I had to add mayonnaise. Which helped a lot.
Tina J — Google review
A hidden gem that tastes like heaven and feels like home. I don’t say this lightly… but Sweet Bites might serve the best açaí bowl I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk into this cozy island bakery, you can feel the love. The staff is warm, the vibe is welcoming, and everything—from the ingredients to the presentation—is done with care and intention. But let’s talk about the bowl. The texture was perfect—not too icy, not too soft. The fruit was fresh, vibrant, and layered just right. The granola? Crispy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. And the toppings? Balanced, generous, and aesthetically beautiful. It became more than just breakfast. It became a memory. If you ever find yourself on Martha’s Vineyard, make Sweet Bites your first stop. You’ll come for the food, but you’ll stay for the feeling. And trust me—it’s worth the trip.
Sucette M — Google review
Sweet Bites is such a hidden gem in Vineyard Haven! I loved everything from the moment I walked in—the place is super cozy, perfect for relaxing, working, or just enjoying a good coffee and something sweet. I tried a few different things and everything was delicious, especially the brigadeiros and the Brazilian empanadas—wow! You can really taste the love and care they put into every bite. I also had a coffee and it was strong, rich, and full of flavor. The staff was so kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I loved that they have both sweet and savory options, so it’s great whether you’re looking for breakfast or just an afternoon treat. I’ll definitely be coming back. It’s a perfect spot if you’re near the ferry or walking around town. The only small downside is that parking can be tricky if you’re driving, but honestly, it’s totally worth the short walk. Highly recommend!

Tucked away behind the courthouse, it provides a welcoming atmosphere for visitors to relax and indulge in delicious treats. The café is known for its popular blueberry scones and hearty breakfast sandwiches that keep patrons satisfied well into the day.
This spot is a gem. Fantastic Coffee, Matcha Latte and food is seriously underrated. The bowls and sandwiches are all really tasty and nutritious also. Today’s specials included a warm edamame and quinoa bowl with kimchi, shredded carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and avocado. Service is exceptional - John Ivan and Chantelle were all amazing 11+ out of 10

Stopped by one a Sunday 20 min before they closed at 4 pm. The young lady made the patrons very aware they had to go because she “had to close”. I got the lemon bar, which was very good and was undecided between two specials on the outside board the pumpkin chai latte with caramel or the cinnamon lavender latte. The young lady, taking my order, suggested the pumpkin because it was seasonal whereas the cinnamon lavender they have all year. So I went with that.
Anna E — Google review
Espresso Love is exactly the kind of charming coffee shop you’d expect to see in a movie or TV show. After a lot of walking and a big seafood meal at Atlantic Fish & Chop House, it was the perfect pick me up. It’s friendly, cozy, and full of character, from the delicious pastries and cookies to the local newspaper you can pick up with your order. The garden patio provides a beautiful outdoor setting just steps from the heart of Edgartown, making it a great spot to sit back and relax. Whether you’re craving something sweet or just need a caffeine boost to keep exploring, this is the place to go. If you’re in town for the day or spending the weekend, do yourself a favor and start your morning here.

We absolutely loved Espresso Love during our trip to Martha’s Vineyard! We ended up coming here almost every day of our 6-day stay. We were staying in Edgartown and made it a morning ritual to walk over for a fresh scone (they rotate flavors daily!) and an iced tea and matcha. The online ordering option was super convenient, especially on busy mornings when the line was long. There’s also a great back patio with plenty of seating — perfect for enjoying breakfast outside. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re on the island!

Lovely outdoor seating area. Welcoming staff. Good selection of sandwiches and pastries. Centrally located in town. I had the peach vegan scone which was yummy. Coffee was ok. Just under $11 plus tip for a coffee and scone.

I hope Vika and everyone are doing wonderfully. I truly love this place — the last time I visited was in 2018, but it still feels like yesterday. Pie Chicks Bakery is a popular spot known for its daily-made pies using the freshest ingredients. The Key Lime Pie is a standout with its perfect balance of citrusy, sweet, and tart flavors along with a light and bright crust. The bakery offers over 20 varieties of fruit pies, including gluten-free options, as well as savory options like chicken pot pies and occasional vegetarian offerings. Customers can find their delicious pies at various locations across the island.
I am in my 3rd decade of eating gluten free (NOT by choice) and I have to say your gluten free pies and cookies are by far the most DEE-LISH-US I have ever encountered. For me the treat is definitely worth the price! Keep up the good work!
S. B — Google review
Stop 3 on our State Rd morning bakery tour! When I say fresh baked goods, I mean warm right out of the oven scones. Great service from who I would assume are the Pie Chicks. Good patio seating area to enjoy their wares. Only complaint was that there wasn’t more to try - was really counting on this place to have an abundance of baked fruit desserts, like small tarts, jam cookies, mini pies for a single serving - the large pies looked excellent but were more than a baked good tourist could manage at this stage in the game.
Ryan M — Google review
This used to be my favorite first stop when I get on the island... But this year, something changed...$40+ for a bland key lime pie, did the recipe change? It was all sweetened condensed milk and no lime. No kick, no fun. Such a disappointment. I couldn't rally to try another one to see if it was just a bland batch, but I did hope so...
Sarah B — Google review
I recently tried the pie from Pie Chicks, and I have to say, it was a bit of a letdown, especially considering the $38 price tag. While the pie was decent, it didn't stand out compared to other pies I've had. In fact, Corning's and Stop and Shop pies, which cost only $15, taste just as good, if not better. For nearly three times the price, I expected something exceptional, but unfortunately, Pie Chicks didn't deliver. Save your money and get the same quality for a fraction of the cost elsewhere.
Len — Google review
Wish I read Len’s review before visiting. He or she was spot on. It’s very meh. Not going to complain about the ridiculous pricing because that is the way of this island but there are so many other much better bakeries. I recommend you drive further up state road towards west tisbury to the Scottish Bakehouse. Much better stuff. Can’t reply to you but I did give your service 4 stars because it was great. Glad we can agree on one thing. You be well as well.
Brad S — Google review
Omg yum!!! I’m eating the key lime pie as I write this and I’m absolutely blown away. How do I stop after 1 piece??! It’s beyond tasty. I’ve had just about every pie they sell and they are all extremely good. If you are a pie lover you will appreciate their pies. Not fake nasty glunky stuff… it’s all super high quality ingredients.

Stopped by a couple days ago… I was looking for a sourdough to accompany a mussel dinner. They, unfortunately didn’t have any. Absolutely fantastic experience… Thank you for all the help 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I always enjoy visiting the bakery shop when I'm on the island and we went for pizza this time, too. Everything was great and it was nice to meet a few of the folks who run the bakery.
Katie K — Google review
We stopped by here once to check it out. Its is a bakery stand that relies on the honor system. There was lots of sweet and some savory baked goods options. It is cash or venmo only so if you have spotty cell service take cash so you don’t walk away empty handed like we did! We came back on Thursday night for the wood oven pizza. We came during the off season (late June) and we were the only other pair of people there from 6-8pm. $35 per person, considering MV prices is not unreasonable. They provide a cheese pizza and some pizza toppings, we did not know this and brought all sorts of toppings. They asked us for every pizza we create to leave half and share with others to help create community! We brought our own wine and they had paper cups so if you prefer to have a nicer glass bring your own! They had lots of seating to enjoy your pizza and red wine (if you bring it yourself!) Overall, if you are staying near by you should be stopping by every other day. If you’re in Vineyard Haven, Edgartown or Oak Bluffs, please make the trip down to eat some wood fire oven pizza and take some baked goods for the road!

Back Door Donuts is a popular spot on Martha's Vineyard, MA, known for its freshly baked pastries. The bakery operates as a speakeasy-like venue at night, offering just-baked donuts from 7:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. during the summer season. Locals and visitors alike line up for these delicious treats, especially the substantial apple fritters that are particularly satisfying in the evening hours.
"Back Door" is where you have to go to get your donut from 7pm-12am. During the day (8 am-2 pm), you go to the front door. We were there before 7 pm, and a line started to form. They opened the back door and started taking orders. Apple Fritter ($8.43) is delicious and big enough for two. Cinnamon Roll ($6.36). Other donuts range between $2.50 & $4.00 and they're all hot & delicious. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Abi M — Google review
Worst donuts I have ever eaten. The apple fritter was just ok better than the donuts. Coffee too was below average. Selling donuts from the backdoor is just a selling gimmick. Must say good strategy to sell very underrated donuts
Samina Q — Google review
Walked here for a late night donut craving. Luckily the line was short but they were out several of the most popular flavors, although they still had apple fritters. This spot is literally operated out of the back door of the business, inside of the parking lot. It's nothing fancy but it's definitely a cool vibe and a novel idea. Flavors we tried: Honey dipped, cinnamon, buttermilk and the infamous apple fritter. The honey dipped tasted like a regular glazed donut - nothing unique. The cinnamon was good, and so was the buttermilk. The apple fritter received good reviews. I plan to return to try other flavors. Overall everything was good and I recommend this place.

Fresh, Fun, and Delicious! We stopped by Backdoor Donuts one morning to try them fresh, and it was absolutely worth it. We ordered a dozen donuts to get a good variety, plus added two apple fritters and a danish to round things out. Every bite was tasty, soft, and flavorful, but the apple fritters really stood out—warm, perfectly spiced, and generously portioned. It was such a fun and memorable experience, and you can really tell these are made fresh with care. Whether you’re looking for a sweet morning treat or just want to experience a Martha’s Vineyard staple, this is a spot not to miss. We’ll definitely be back for more fritters and donuts next time!
Tisha B — Google review
Yeah, I’m fritters were awesome. Big chunks of apple and the glaze was outstanding. We also got the cinnamon donuts which were just like com Back in New Jersey which were soft get crispy on the outside. Absolutely delicious highly highly highly recommended.

Go here! Coconut chocolate doughnut is amazing. The Old Fashioned donut was good. This place had a line and was worth it. They are heavy so make sure you save room. Everything is fresh. They have coffee too but was already had coffee somewhere else. Tell em Barsnobs sent ya

Apple fritter was warm and good but very soggy/heavy with oil. Honey dipped donut was pretty good, nothing special

Hot, huge, fresh baked apple filled fritters are # 1! Absolutely the best we’ve had. I wish Back Door Donuts was in Florida! The photo shows the bottom side of the fritter. It was larger than our hand.

Fine dining restaurant
Atria is a seasonal New American restaurant located in an 18th-century former sea captain's home. Divided into different dining areas, including a sophisticated restaurant space, a cheerful outdoor wraparound porch, and a cozy bar/lounge area in the basement, the restaurant offers a diverse menu influenced by Mediterranean, Asian, and Middle Eastern flavors. The name "Atria" comes from the Southern Triangle constellation's three brightest stars.
went here for a birthday dinner and had an amazing time. everything was excellent, the service was amazing and the entire team made the night feel so special. I can’t recommend this place enough. The drinks and food were divine.

The best dining experience I've ever had. Thank you so much to the people of Atria that hosted my husband and I. Thank you chef Goran. It was a night that I will NEVER forget. Thank you Matija and Vuk for serving us and being such charismatic gentlemen. I cannot wait for the next time and to bask in this experience in the future once more.

Gorgeous restaurant in Edgartown. It’s a nice house with a gorgeous patio; pity we could not enjoy the outdoors due to the weather. It’s a little up the street from the main downtown next to a gas station. Service is great and attentive. Everyone, including the GM, were professional, smily and courteous. They were also knowledgeable about the menu. The downside however is the food.. If it was a normally priced place, I would have given them a pass, but for those prices there is no room for error. We had crab cake and calamari for starters; they were very good and the calamari had a great spicy kick. We were four , we had 2 swordfish, one halibut and one lobster. Those mains were very average. I was so looking forward to getting a halibut; the piece was small and dry ;lacked flavor. It was served on some cherry tomatoes, with a dressing and lobster meat, again there was clearly something missing. My friends also were disappointed by their entrees. Insance prices, including for the drinks; like a 22$ plus for.a martini, 7 $ for the bread. It’s a very expensive place but the food does not match unfortunately.
Naim A — Google review
I've been to Atria a number of times over the years and their food and service is always great- however the last couple of visits the level of hospitality has been really impressive. I recently went with 4 other women, all new moms, and had put that little note in the reservation. We showed up to a lovely table with a handwritten note acknowledging our effort to get out of the house (5 new moms, no easy feat) and were given a server who definitely understood the assignment! (I believe her name was Amanda) she was fun and made sure to suggest fun drinks for us, as well as great menu suggestions. The next time upon returning we dined outside at the fire pit table, and the GM recognized our baby from a previous visit and brought him out a onesie! These thoughtful gestures, as well as the outstanding hospitality consistently displayed by the entire staff are what set Atria apart!
Tara S — Google review
This place was so delightful and delicious, my wife and I went 2 nights in a row while visiting MV. On night one, we leaned into the seafood options b/c when in Rome. I had the Bobo's Two Pound Wok Fired Island Lobster; the fried take on a full lobster was new for me and I don't think I ever want it any other way after this super juicy and flavorful result (lovely mashed potatoes with it). My wife had the grilled swordfish, and while I didn't try it, she raved about how perfectly balanced in flavor (she doesn't normally like fish but loved this) and texture it was and she's still talking about it days later. Our friends had the Pan Roasted Duck Breast and Braised Catalan Chickpeas and they were clearly extremely happy with their choices. We all shared the truffle fries (I normally don't like truffle oil but this was amazing), beet salad, and starter ravioli -- and loved it. We had 4 different deserts and each was tastier than the last, especially the epic and super moist carrot cake. On night 2, we went the burger route and my wife and I each had half of the McRippoff and the smash burger and, omg, I would absolutely get the McRippoff once a week if I lived there. The wait staff was extremely friendly and on their game. We went to probably 5 other places on the island while we were there, and while we didn't have a single subpar experience, Atria shined above all the rest. Just wow.
Jeremy F — Google review
Atria in Edgartown delivered a killer night out - we were down in the Cellar and the vibe was on point. It’s got that cozy-meets-cool energy, with a DJ spinning and setting the tone without overpowering the room. We kicked things off with a round of great cocktails and then dove into the food - the burrata ravioli was rich and dreamy, the calamari was perfectly crispy with delicious aioli, and we tried a lineup of burgers that did not disappoint. The Cellar feels like a hidden gem under one of the island’s classic spot - laid-back but still polished, and a super fun place to post up for dinner or drinks.

Just Wow! What an experience. Classic flavours executed perfectly. Very high level of service from warm and friendly staff. Oh and I highly recommend the carrot cake!

We took my parents here for their 50th anniversary. I had a reservation and told them beforehand. When we got to the table there was an anniversary card on the table which was very sweet. Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Lots of servers helping each other. I wish we had a table outside because the outdoor seating was also gorgeous. The food was absolutely delicious

Behind the Bookstore is a charming al fresco coffee shop located behind Edgartown Books. It offers a variety of coffee drinks, breakfast options, and sandwiches from May through fall. The menu features pour-over coffee, warm rice pudding with black plum and preserved lemon, as well as delectable dishes like the lamb burger with sumac-inflected labneh and feta or roast chicken with duck fat baby turnips.
one of my first meals on the island and WOW! first of all, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. my family and I were recommended the apricot salad to split (so amazing), and they were very accommodating with making some changes to fit dietary needs. for my main I ordered the cauliflower dish… truly what dreams are made of. I will be dreaming about this meal for a long time. OH! and came back for coffee the following morning– highly recommend! 😋
Sarah N — Google review
Behind the Bookstore is an absolute gem - tucked away and full of charm. Everything here is made in-house, and you can taste the difference in every bite. The fresh-baked pastries and bread are next level - flaky, warm, and wildly satisfying. We had a hard time choosing just one, so naturally we didn’t. The drinks are also spot on - well-crafted and balanced, whether you’re going for a latte or something a little stronger. The vibe is relaxed but elevated, and it’s the kind of place you want to linger. A must-visit if you’re in Edgartown looking for a caffeine boost.
Connor M — Google review
Finally, a place on the vineyard that is offering something other than lobster rolls and crab cakes. Nestled behind the local bookstore under canvas sails and oak trees, you can find this little gem of an eatery. From mushroom tacos to Asian veg rice bowls, they offer a diverse selection of healthy and different food options that don’t include meat, fish or cheese. Not exclusively vegan but def vegan friendly. Quick service and relaxed vibe.

Crazy busy in the summer! Fair selection of food with a nice outdoor seating area. You'll wait for your food once ordered. It's not cheap. The chicken sandwich was pretty tasty as was the chocolate chip cookie.

This was nice. I came here for a nice read while enjoying my coffee and breakfast. I ordered a catado coffee and a cold brew with a breakfast order of Shakshuka. The atmosphere was very relaxing in a very busy Cafe. The coffee was spot on, however the eggs in the Shakshuka was overcooked. I asked one of the staff if they could remake the order for the eggs to be runny and they immediately followed through with kindness. The 2nd time came back extremely mouthwatering with great flavors! The staff did circle around and check on me to see how it came out again and apologise. Thanks so much for the wonderful service! Will be back again!
Thuy T — Google review
Place itself is very very cute, is the food amazing, no, is it one of the better options on the island yes. The shakshuka is very American, not a bit of spice in it, but as NY’ers we are privy to very good food. So for MV it earns a 4

Nats Nook is a charming creperie located on Main Street in Vineyard Haven. This woman-owned and operated establishment offers a delightful selection of sweet and savory crepes for breakfast and lunch. The cozy atmosphere, with outdoor seating available, makes it a hidden gem worth seeking out. Visitors recommend trying the lemon curd crepe for those with a sweet tooth. The cafe provides both indoor and outdoor seating, clean bathrooms, and a welcoming ambiance with literary quotes adorning the walls.
04.11.2025 This is a very cute quaint place. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is like a cottage. I got a vanilla chai tea latte with almond milk. It is so good.

Had a good experience at Nat's Nook. My main purpose for visiting was to have a place to work remotely for the day. It's a great spot except for the fact that there is one power outlet in the entire place, and it's outside. So if you don't get the one table that's near the outlet, you can't really work from here unless your battery lasts as long as you need. Otherwise, it's a great spot with good, albeit super expensive cafe food.
Ethan S — Google review
Really liked this place. Its super cute, centrally located and has great indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee is fantastic (I had a cold brew) and the breakfast bagel was delicious. The staff was very sweet.

Nat's nook is great! The girls working/who own it are wonderful and kind and they work hard! The food is amazing and fresh and the coffee is wonderful as well, especially the coffee ice cubes. If they get super busy they can sometimes kind of get behind at times but give them grace and patience because the food is worth it!
Ambiemae — Google review
Great little rustic cafe with a nice selection of crepes. They have many gluten free and vegan options.
Gopal G — Google review
I love Nat's book. It is aptly named as a Nook so if you don't look for it, you may not find it. The Crepes are a great casual breakfast, together with fresh coffee (iced coffee cubes are cool). It is often less crowded than the more touristy places in Vineyard haven and it is common to see a few laptops out. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The bathrooms are clean and there is a hint of home TLC in the design with literature quotes on the walls. If you want good coffee and a casual and reasonably priced meal in Vineyard Haven and desire to avoid lines - find the Nook.

The food is truly good, but the prices are unreasonably high for what you get. On top of that, the staff barely say “good morning” and always seem unfriendly. It’s a shame, because the place has potential, but the service and hospitality need serious improvement.

Took my 3 kids for ice cream which they were going to eat in my car so I took more than the usual number of napkins. The older lady with dark brown/black hair (manager or owner) behind the counter with an attitude says "Seriously?!" In a very nasty way. I guess she didn't like that I needed napkins for all the kids eating ice cream in my car as It was too cold to eat outside and there is no seating inside. She was rude to a paying customer. I won't be patronizing this establishment.

Used to be much better before it was sold. Prices are way higher than any other "grocery" store on island. Also not sure if it is a language barrier thing, or they just don't listen, but if you order food you should double check that it's actually what you ordered.

The best thing about this cafe/bakery were the prices for location. Got a hot caramel latte which was good and fresh got 2 fresh croissants one with bacon and guacamole (since plain avacado wasn’t available as an option) and one fresh plain with side of bacon. bacon was average a little skimp on the side portion. got a portugese poa de quiejo(cheese bread ball) NO flavor and not the traditional airy smooth inner texture.
