🌾 A Heartwarming and Educational Escape into Thai Heritage Located just over 100 km from Bangkok, this 100‑acre village beautifully preserves the traditional lifestyle of central Thai farmers and their lifelong companions - the water buffalo. From the moment you arrive and step past the iconic buffalo statue, you’re transported back to a simpler time. 🐃 Authentic Buffalo Experience Multiple daily buffalo performances showcase the animals’ intelligence - waving, turning, even “smiling” on cue. You can even sit on a buffalo’s back! The friendly atmosphere encourages close interaction: feeding them grass (THB 20) and watching them slowly paddle in water at the café, hence the catchy slogan “กินแฟ ดูฟาย” (eat coffee, watch buffalo). 🌱 Cultural & Agricultural Journey Explore authentic Thai wooden houses, traditional farming tools, and rustic granaries... each piece a story of rural ingenuity. Demonstrations of rice sowing, plowing, threshing, and the sacred khwan khao (rice blessing ceremony), tied deeply to seasonal rhythms. For organized groups and students, immersive programs offer “Back to Thai Traditional Life,” with hands-on farming and buffalo handling. 🎟️ Accessible & Family-Friendly The entry fees are very affordable: Thai adults THB 20–30, children THB 10–20; foreigners pay a bit more (THB 150/100 for entry, plus THB 20/10 for shows). Shows run twice daily on weekdays and three times on weekends and public holidays. The venue is large with ample parking, shaded paths, and a relaxed rural atmosphere, ideal for families and nature lovers. ☕ Cafe & Relaxation Zone Nestled near the buffalo pond, the café is a chilled-out spot to sip coffee, enjoy snacks (typically under THB 100), and watch the buffalo swim or come close as you toss a handful of grass. Lush fields and traditional buildings offer perfect photo-op backdrops and tranquil vibes. --- 💬 Final Verdict The Thai Buffalo Conservation Village is a hidden gem offering playful, memorable interactions with buffalo, deep cultural insights into Thai agrarian life, and a serene rural escape just a short drive from Bangkok. Whether you came for the photos, the history, singing buffalo, or just a peaceful day outdoors. It delivers on all fronts. It’s educational, charming, and immensely satisfying; especially for families. Highly recommend this as a weekend getaway or cultural exploration... definitely a must-visit!
We came on a Sunday morning. Entrance fee 30 baht p.p. We had a walk through the park, suprised it was so empty and mo activities at all. We did see the buffalos in the corral. Not much action, but we happy we could contribute a bit.
Was good, you can sit on a buffalo, pet them and feed them. You have a tiny shop for drinks and snacks. At the shop you can sit at a pool where the buffalo's swim and come close for food. Worth a visit, especially with kids.
Excellent place to see buffalos and farmer's and agricultural way of life. There is buffalo 🐃 and farmers show. And there is a small marker and live Thai traditional music on weekend. I was so much enjoy feeding buffalos they were in water at buffalo 🐃 cafe.
worth a visit to know more about Thai buffalo. one negative comment is that they have a buffalo show and charge us for a ticket, after the show has started, there were some visitors come to join for free, no restrictions. this is unfair.
Its very vintage style place. Buffaloes over there. You can buy green grass for them. Ticket was cheaper. Good for some natural shots.
Good place to see buffaloes up close and fed and touch them. Kids can ride them also. Cheap entrance and good makes it a nice stop for a couple of hours.
I finally found Ploya water buffalo! IYKYK
