Very interesting and lively fresh seafood market. Be overwhelmed by lots of of stalks selling crabs. Visitors can also buy the crab on the spot and they will steam it for you to eat.
We had a quick walk tour as part of our Pohang tour. This is the biggest fish market in town and it really was hugely massive! There are so many seafood to choose from and the price is definitely super competitive! All the store owners seem very friendly.
The market is huge with a ton of options for seafood, both fresh and dried. You can also buy seafood and eat it in the upstairs restaurants as well. Parking is difficult but there is a public lot nearby.
It’s huge traditional market carry everything you wants for groceries: fresh fish, vegetables, restaurant, baked goods, etc…
Was amazing to see all different types of seafood here. It was a huge market and must see place in Po Hang if you are interested in looking at exotic seafood items. Picked up some crabs and thy steamed for us to take home. There was also areas that you can shop regular grocery items. Honestly everything looked fresh here. It was fantastic experience.
A huge selections of freah seafood and more
Very traditional market. The fish market is super interesting, people keep approaching you "offering" good deals in the restaurants associated. If you buy their fish they will cook it and serve it in the restaurant. Or they will prepare it for take out.
Clever idea to have restaurants in the middle of the market to immediately eat fresh seafood if you don't want to otherwise take it home.

Visited the Homigot Sunrise Square as part of the best of Pohang tour. I really love all the cute octopus sculptures around the square! Just a lovely landscape for an easy walk around and enjoy the view of the sea stretching to the blue sky. Bathrooms available around the park and a convenient store right in front of the sea! Plenty of parking next to the bathroom.
A good place to have a picnic here. Don't forget to take a picture with the iconic hand statue. You can visit this place for free. The location is quite far. It takes around 60-90 minutes from the Pohang Bus Terminal. You can go there by bus/taxi
This is one of the most famous tourist spots in Pohang that you need to see. I suggest you come in spring or summer, as in cold times, the wind is very strong and cold. For some people this can be a big problem. Here you will find some restaurants and cafes. You will also find souvenir shops. Parking is large and free. There are usually a lot of people visiting the place, so come early to be able to photograph the attractions without having to fight for the best place to take the photo.
Its an amazing place for family and kids i enjoyed the ocean view and the smell of ocean
Nice place with sea view! Seagulls are gliding in the sky. You can really feel the coastal part here. Square is not overcrowded at all. There are some photo spots. Also, there is a postbox if you are a fan of sending postcards.
Great sun rise! Bit chilly but worth watching it though.
Very touristy but the large hand in the water likely gives a good motive at sunrise. You can spare this sight if you don't like many people and rather enjoy nature without signs of civilization.
Had a very beautiful sunny afternoon at the Homigot in the company of my friends. There are convenience stores, many photo spots and even people who sells snacks around the Square. I had a very nice time.

Buddhist temple, built in the 7th-century, known for its area waterfalls & tranquil surrounds.
Slide 1 of 8
Bogyeongsa is a beautiful and serene temple nestled in the mountains of Pohang. It offers visitors not only a glimpse into Korea’s rich Buddhist heritage but also a chance to enjoy the beauty of nature. One of the temple’s biggest highlights is the hiking trail that winds past a series of stunning waterfalls—twelve in total—each offering a unique and peaceful view. The trail is well-maintained and suitable for most hikkng levels, making it a rewarding walk for casual hikers and nature lovers alike. As you explore, the tranquil sounds of flowing water and the backdrop of forested hills create a truly meditative atmosphere. Whether you’re interested in history, spirituality, or simply looking to enjoy a scenic hike, Bogyeongsa is a must-visit destination in the region.
I visited Bogyeongsa Temple with my family on May 4, 2024. For Buddha's Birthday, one of S. Korea's public holidays, is near, the temple was nicely decorated. Many people visit this temple for praying to Buddha to make a wish. It takes around 20 minutes from the big parking area to Bogyeongsa Temple. The angle of sidewalk is not that stiff, easy to walk. On the way to this temple, there are many local food restaurants and some coffee shops as well. Enjoy.
Beautiful and peaceful temple surrounded by mountains. Mostly visited by locals, so it’s quiet and relaxing compared to touristy spots. The temple buildings are colorful and well-kept, with a calming atmosphere. After visiting, there’s a nice walking trail through the forest that leads to several waterfalls — the scenery is amazing, and the sound of the water makes it even more peaceful. The walk is not too hard, and you can enjoy fresh air and nature the whole way. A perfect place to enjoy both culture and nature in one visit.
Our visit to Bogyeongsa Temple near Pohang during our 2015 visit, and with Abunim and Omanim caught the bus, had lunch in the village just beyond the Temple grounds, then walked the long tree lined shaded path into the quiet and peaceful grounds of Bogyeongsa. Circumnambulating the Stupa, bowing before the Buddha images in the great hall, making a donation for a tile to help maintain and build the temple structures for future visitors, sitting quietly, listing to the stream, enjoying each others company and time together in the blessings of the Temple Buddhadhamma field. 🙏🙏🙏😊🌼🤌❤️ Perfect.
A beautiful and must see place.
My friend and I decided to come visit this temple while we were sightseeing in Pohang. As we drove up, we realized that we had come unprepared. We were dressed in street clothes while everyone else was wearing hiking outfits. The temple itself can easily be seen in an hour or so and this includes many picture breaks. This was perfect for our plans because we had more places we wanted to go. I would suggest, however, that when you visit, you come prepared with proper clothes, snacks, and water for a day of hiking. I have visited many temples in Korea and I'm unsure if I was just not as observant when I visited the others, but this temple had some lovely paintings on the outsides of the buildings. Cost of admission was ₩3,500 for adults. I did not have to pay for parking.
A beautiful hiking trail. The further you go the more it feels like an actual hike. The first bit is for all people
Fantastic place surrounded bei the Naeyeonsans National Park. The Bogyeongsa Temple is really huge with some beautiful Pavillons and Shrines. We loved this quiet place!

There was some ongoing construction around the temple when we visited so we had to park a good distance away and walk up the road to the temple. It was a nice day for a walk so it wasn't bad. There's a path around the reservoir that we did not take because of time. There's a second part of the temple that is a steep (think stairs) climb. The views were nice from the top and would have been even better if we had gone a couple weeks later when more leaves had changed for the fall. This temple had a tour guide who spoke English very well. He was kind and helpful.
Lovely place to visit. So quite and peaceful. The view of mountain and the crystal clear lake was mesmerizing. The works of the temples was breathtaking. The white statue of Buddha is very beautiful. I loved every bit of it. I love the rocking bridge but at the same time I was scared as I don't know swimming 😂.
The river was all dried up for some reason but I assume it looks really beautiful when the river is full. The temple takes some walking to reach (about 3km) and there are hiking trails everywhere
A beautiful place to visit but also to receive for believers. We were not able to do the walk in the forest because of the heat but it looks interesting.
calm and comfort place to take a walk
This temple is a very quiet place and has a unique tranquility I don't always see in all temples
It is a small temple but you can see the traditional beauty of Korean old buildings. You can just park your car at the parking lot of the temple so that you do not need to walk.
This is a magical place. The main temple is just the start. Cross the bridge and go up the mountain behind the lake to see another gem up the creek. Then make sure you climb the mountain behind the temple to see the other temple up on teh mountain. There were some monks around which made it very awesome. I would go there everyday if I could. You can see all of Pohang if you continue to scramble up the mountain to the top.

Really nice educational museum. Free admission. Gives history of lighthouses in Korea but also in general and importance of lighthouses for seafaring. Indoor and outdoor exhibits plus interactive exhibits. We had a great time and learned a lot.
This place is located in Homigot, Pohang and located just beside Homigot Sunrise Square which is one of the most famous places in the city. The place is basically part of this tourist spot and gives tourist learnings through its museum. My friends and I had a great time taking photos of the area and will surely go back again.
Displays are ok. They have English for some, but no other languages. Seems a little sparse, but I guess there's only so much to say about lighthouses. Worth a stop if you're in the area, otherwise not.
love the drive along to visit this place, such refreshing, free to enter, worth the visit , great to photography , a unique place ,If you visit pohang, this place is a must visit as there are nice scenaries around and there is a famuos arm in sea mounted by posco steel industries and the sunset at this place is good. And the way to reach this place from pohang very scenic.
Amazing drive all along the coast to get to the museum. Very interesting, and in a beautiful location!
Nice museum of lighthouses and naval navigation aids. Very suitable for small children.
Free admission. Worth to have a visit.
(Translated by Google) The exhibits are impressive, but the interior design and decor are clean and comfortable, making it a great place to cool off from the heat and enjoy the ocean views reflected through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There's an unmanned cafe on the second floor, so you can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee. We had a grand time visualizing life inside a warship. Entrance was free and there are arrows that would guide you around the ship. Interesting are the cabins of the captain, gunmen, the control room, radar rooms and the armaments. We arrive at sunset and the view was spectacular
It's a nice place to visit, if you are interested in museums and history then it's a must go place. Not very time consuming and its free to visit inside the ship. Nice place to click some shots. The view is amazing from the top. Highly recommended if you wanna explore pohang in limited time. There is a beautiful spot opposite to the ship across the bridge, if you are lucky you can experience some cultural performances. You can take couple photos. Bachelors may click some but if you are a Bachelor by choice, otherwise it hurts. 😊😉
The captains office and some other rooms were closed due to corona but the outside was open to visitors. The view from the top of the ship was amazing
Nice free activity
Really interesting place to visit. There are many helpful translations throughout the tour.
First place where I see all the internal part of a war ship. It is very satisfying.
The Warship Pohang, a decommissioned naval vessel turned museum, stands as a proud symbol of South Korea's maritime history. Docked in [location], it offers visitors a unique glimpse into naval technology and the country's defense heritage. Exploring its decks provides a hands-on experience, with exhibits detailing the ship's operational history and showcasing naval artifacts. From the engine room to the command bridge, the Warship Pohang provides an immersive journey through its service years. This floating museum not only educates on naval prowess but also honors the dedication of sailors who served. It's a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and maritime aficionados alike.
There aren't many attractions in Pohang, but if you find yourself in Pohang, this is one of the places to go! It's a pretty cool and unique experience, especially if you've never been on a warship. This is a decommissioned warship that's open to the public to tour on your own. There's very little restrictions on where you allowed to go, and paths are clearly marked so you can walk around alone. It doesn't take too long to walk through; about 30 minutes to an hour will be sufficient unless you're stopping to take a lot of photos. Worth a visit!

It is two-floor japanese style house built during Japanese colonialism in South Korea. It has its original architecture since it's build. There is also traditional bathroom inside the house. You can have postcard from here. And it can send to your house, but only for domestic address.
Guryongpo Modern History Museum or Hashimoto Zengichi House will surely send you to other country - Japan and this 2-storey house was made by him. The house is located in Pohang and the street is really different compared to normal streets and Korea. The place was used by the award winning Korean drama "When the Camellia Blooms" as their drama location that's why lot's of people are visiting the place. Also, the area is easy to access by car or buses.
When i visited this place, suddenly i felt that i was in another country...yes, I felt that I was in Japan... The houses, shops and the atmosphere
Beautiful old Japanese house
Good place for Kids to enjoy
(Translated by Google) I visited on a weekday afternoon. It is located in Guryongpo Japanese House Street, and there may be a wait as the number of people admitted is limited. It is said that Mr. Hashimoto, who came from Japan during the Japanese colonial period, lived there, and after liberation, it was used as a residence, but was purchased by Pohang City and used as a history museum. At the time of my visit, I couldn't go up to the second floor, but on the first floor, there was an exhibition to help me understand the structure of the building and life at the time, so if you're interested, it would be a good idea to take a look around. It was on our way after doing the Pohang Space Walk on a really hot day. We so appreciated the AC and nice stroll. Learned a thing or two so I’d say visit for curiosity but if pressed for time, I wouldn’t go.
Interesting to walk around, some interesting exhibits It would be good to combine it with visiting something else if you have gone out there especially. The skywalk is nearby too.
Not a huge amount to see here but worth a quick look if you are visiting the space walk or need something for a wet day.
Pohang museum of arts, a.k.a. PoMA, has a wonderful location at Buk-gu, a nothern area of Pohang. Surrounded by Hwanho park, dozens of steel and stone sculptures are exhibited outside musuem. The building itself is also a designed beauty but there are not that many artworks as expected. On thing to note. Most of the visitors are parents with children age below 5 who live nearby but they don't care much of their kids. This is not good. Staffs must regulate this kind of visitors so that other visitors are not distacted by screaming and running children.
Great museum in a lovely park! Cool building with exhibits that change monthly. The park has a lot of statues too and looks especially wonderful during cherry blossom season.
There were ao many things to see here Several exhibits were seen from outside The artwork was really pretty whwn I went inside It was good to leave many memories I want to come again next time
