In the aftermath of last year's earthquake, most of the trails remained closed, only part of the park now is accessible in a timely fashion. Taroko National Park is at the very top of my Taiwan tour, I was much appreciated the opportunity that I still could get in and visit part of it. The mighty earthquake could be noticed or even felt everywhere, but the scenery was unbelievably beautiful. It was a very memorable experience and tour.
Review is for the highway through and up to the top at Lishan: the final boss of scary mountain roads in east Asia. Took us a solid 5 hours to go 150km with no (optional) stops, and I'm not a slow driver. Terrifyingly spectacular, edge of your seat roads the whole way. Plenty of enforced stops for roadwork: at one point we chilled for half an hour watching some dudes 200m up a cliff nailing wire mesh to the rock face. Minus one star for the number of very fast oncoming cars refusing to yield or even slow down on single-lane sections. Try to get a small car with decent ground clearance, have a passenger to take photos for you because you can't stop in the good bits, leave the whole day for it, and be EXTREMELY careful!
Must be one of the top 5 drives in the world. Absolutely amazing making me speechless. Do not miss an opportunity to visit. We had a couple of delays going through .... a tree had just fallen across the road but was cleared within 20 mins and work is going on to the cliffs causing road closures so only open at certain times so check. Otherwise just superb. Many of the trails are currently closed so check for hiking access.
The view was stunning so fresh and windy! Just a heads-up be ready for a workout! I’d recommend preparing your legs and wearing comfy sport sneakers for all the walking. It was super tiring, but totally worth it!
As Singaporeans, we are a very rare type of tourists following the unfortunate events surrounding Taroko. But we still managed to capture the beauty of the mountains by a car ride. It was a pity we couldn't go on foot for now, we shall wait for it to fully open and visit again.
One of the best national park ever visited. It’s amazing hard to explain you need to come see yourself. What definitely come again.
One of the best roads I've ever biked on. A motorcycle is required for the full experience In one daylight hours u can climb from the Pacific Ocean shoreline to a 3200m elevation gain. VERY important (2025) The road is still being repaired and has its own schedule. If u don't meet this schedule, u risk being left in the mountains with no way to return until the morning. There were high risks of rockfalls and landslides at the end of July 2025.
Absolutely stunning national park!!! I’d put this on the must visit list!!! Definitely need to do it as a tour, hire a bike or car!

Windy as of 9th May and beautiful place to do a casual run. Has a clean public toilet. There are many rocks between the beach and the sea shore line. There's also some interesting children's playground.
I took a bike from the hostel and rode towards the beautiful promenade. There was an art festival in the stones and trees nearby. The sea was beautiful and calm. The cycling path was comfortable and safe for cyclists and pedestrians.
Very beautiful vistas of the mountains behind Hualien and a nice beach. There are plenty of cycling and running areas. There was also a beach sculpture display with stones and wood that was very creative and fun to view. The views here are simply breathtaking, I highly recommend making a stop here when visiting Hualien.
Very beautiful scenery! Worth visiting. It’s cycling distance from Hualien station.
Saw this beach on a very grey and windy day! However it was still great to visit and explore a new area. I hope to return when the sun is out
a must go area in Hualien…. although u cannot see the sunset here but it is still very nice during the dawn period👍🏻👍🏻
It is okay. Nothing special. But be aware, If you are eating there. There is one food stall, which has for everything prices declared, but not for the corn Stick. I thought it can't be much as the prices besides were very low, so I ordered... They wanted 130 Dollar (4 Euro) for one simple grilled corn stick. In comparision, for the scallion pancake they just wanted 60 Dollar (2 Euros) That is a joke. Be aware of it. Dont buy If they have no prices declared upfront, they will use it to get more out of you.
Very scenic indeed :) One of the best beaches I've seen (and I lived in Brazil), and maybe the best pebble one I've ever visited. Very chill, there are many people but they spread out so you almost feel alone. Ocean is magnificent.

Regardless of the season, a gorgeous view will greet you at this point. Also called Taroko Qingshui Cliff, this majestic attraction is a must-see in Hualien. There’s a manmade metal structure where tourists can take a photo with the stunning cliff on the background. There’s also a toilet nearby. Adding appeal to the site are two railways.
Third visit this cliff but different photo spot. We visited on 15 March 2024. The view is pretty and its easy for elderly to walk n down the slope. With both wheelchair accessible toilet and normal toilet which is a great stop over before continuing your trip.
The road to Ching Shui Cliff was damaged during the earthquake and it was closed. The only thing we could do was to take a picture in afar. The views were still impressive.
Beautiful view! The see water is turquoise blue when the weather is sunny. You’ll find monkeys jumping around in the forest nearby.
Great view that worth a short stop here to take picture. Enjoy the sound of wave, majestic mountains & breathtaking cliff. Managed to see few monkeys!
Visited this place on 19/3/24, was beautiful. Toilets are available near the carpark.
Beautiful place for pictures! It's a good place to visit for a day trip! Pick a nice day for better scenery. This is a popular place for families and groups. You can do a tour here or drive or take a train to get here. Definitely a must visit in you're in Hualien.
Very nice view of the cliffs and ocean. There are some stop along the road to enable photo taking of the gorgeous view. There are many tourists though which may ruin the scenery.

Lake
Nature & Parks
A bicycle path & mountains encircles this sizable, scenic lake for boating & other water sports.
Slide 1 of 8
Liyu (Carp) Lake is in the central-mountain foothills southwest of Hualien City. About 104 hectares in area, this is the largest lake in eastern Taiwan. There is a plethora of tourist facilities and recreation options at the lake and a visitor centre and pedal-boat, canoe, motorboat (with driver), and bicycle rentals. It has a 4km ring road that offers pleasant walking/cycling routes, camping/picnic areas, easy-challenge trails into the hills, and open-air local-style restaurants at which lake shrimp is the favoured delicacy.
A peaceful spot surrounded by mountains , great for a relaxing day outdoors . Enjoying strolling , paddle boating or simply taking in fresh air around the scenic lakeside. It was in September when we went there and it rained ( don’t forget to bring with you your umbrella and mosquito repellent ) indeed a calm atmosphere !
Beautiful place. Quite far from the train station. It takes an hour by public bus. You can also rent a taxi for NT 500 and it takes 30 minutes to reach. The bus frequency is limited and it starts getting dark by 5.30 pm...plan accordingly... A kind aunty in the opposite restaurant helped us book a taxi on our way back.. the people are very nice.
We went there on month of July. It rained that day so mosquitos are everywhere. If you want to visit this place dont forget to bring with you anything that can protect you from mosquito bites. The place is good for family. You can rent a bikes, or a pedal boats. On the roadside restaurants are lined up to choose from.
Nice lake with a mountain view. Rented a peddle boat onto the lake but the only problem is the motor boat rental which keeps cutting across the waters making waves. Rental of peddle boat is approximately NTD 200 per hour for 2 seater, NTD 600 per hour for 6 seater & NTD 600 for one roind of motor boat ride around the lake.
We love this place. Amazing view and rides. Definitely we will come back here again.
This lake is so calm and clean. It worths to visit Liyu lake many times, especially in the sunny days.
Gorgeous view, perfect place for a slow stroll or hike. Would recommend visitors to visit this lake for its scenic views.

This shrine above a waterfall has mountain views & commemorates those who died building the highway.
Slide 1 of 8
Walking to the Shrine is to remember those who died when building this highway. The building was built with waterfalls. Walk up and back give you a different view of the Liwu river and Changchun Bridge.
Situated against a cliff face overlooking cascading waterfalls and lush greenery, the shrine offers a picturesque backdrop that's ideal for photography and enjoying the natural beauty of Taroko Gorge. While the shrine itself holds historical and cultural significance, its appreciation may vary depending on your expectations and preferences. We find that the shrine is better appreciated from afar, as the close-up experience may not always match the grandeur portrayed in photographs. The small size of the shrine itself may not justify the effort for all visitors. Consider enjoying the views of the shrine from viewpoints along the trail without necessarily climbing up to it, especially if you prefer to avoid crowds or have limited time.
The access is on the right side stairway after the red bridge. Walking through the rock tunnel makes it exciting getting to the shrine. Some lovely photos of the colourful buildings and the river flowing down the rocks. Also nice views over the river flowing down the wide gorge, at this point.
Cute short hike to reach this place. We lucked out and manage to watch the nuns praying! It has beautiful views, just like everywhere in taroko gorge!
The glass that turned me and made the best evening 🌀
One of the most best inside Taroko Gorge and a must-see place when you're there visiting - the temple is lovely and to read the stories about the history is fascinating - defiantly take a walk up to see the views too!
A place like out of a fairytale. There's currently not much to do here since the trail is closed, but the view is just stunning. You can walk up to the shrine and see it from up close but it just looks so fantastic from afar. Weather wasn't very good, the rain was drizzling, but this only added to the atmosphere. Would have loved to try the trail, so I'll be back sometime in the future.
Very cool walk to see the temple that seems so little from a distance then it's actually kimda small up close. You can see the waterfall source at the top. There are some cool scenes to see on the way to the temple. A must see place in Taroko.

Animal shows & gondola rides in an aquarium & theme park modeled after a 19th-century British pier.
Slide 1 of 8
Farglory Ocean Park, located in Hualien, is one of Taiwan’s top marine-themed amusement parks, offering a blend of exciting performances, thrilling rides, and breathtaking coastal scenery. One of the park’s highlights is the dolphin and sea lion shows, where visitors can witness the intelligence and charm of these marine animals. Additionally, the large aquarium showcases a wide variety of sea creatures, providing an educational and immersive experience. Beyond marine exhibits, the park features thrilling rides such as roller coasters and sky swings, perfect for adventure seekers. Its location near the coast also offers stunning ocean views and fresh sea breezes, making it an ideal destination for families and tourists. While ticket prices may be slightly high, the diverse attractions and engaging performances make Farglory Ocean Park a worthwhile visit.
真是非常好玩的地方! A very unique amusement park. Located next to the ocean with beautiful views. I enjoyed that this wasn’t a super big and busy amusement park. Tho the rides are limited and the ones that they do offer is small, it makes it special. There’s not much I would change at this place. Very nice to visit for a couple hours and then go enjoy the rest of your day.
Not a thrill seekers experience but a couple smaller rides that suffice. I recommend the drop and boat ride. The theatre was full and fun to experience (not in English). I tried the peanut butter chicken sandwich and was not disappointed! Aquarium was also a nice, quick experience. Most of the entertainment is at the top or bottom. I would recommend taking the gondola up to the top.
It’s been a long time since I visit this place last time, and noticed there are many new attractions now. Some shops were closed, but since there were fewer people this time, it was actually a good thing! we got to enjoy more rides without queue. If you’re planning to visit, I recommend bringing a change of clothes. Whether you’re playing the water, riding the pirate ship, or watching the shows, there’s a chance you’ll get soaked! There was a special promotion during our visit if you’ve recently traveled to another country, you can get admission for just $100 by showing your passport and plane ticket.
One day is not enough to explore this place. We had a really fun day.The staff are friendly and accomodating. It was fantastic experience my family loves it.
A perfect ocean amusement park in the east part of Taiwan. There are lots of surprises during the tour of the schedule. We totally watch 6 shows, including sea lions, dolphins, a manatee, parades, and operas. Kids loved all of them. By the way, We even didn't play with any of the amusement equipment, but we had a great time there. Wish each of you will have fun there too.
Nice water park, although it can get a bit too crowded even during weekdays. Most rides are appropriate for small children, and they have a small gondola that'll take you uphill. It has a quite entertaining aquarium with plenty of fish, a 360° observation tunnel, and most importantly the aquarium has A/C, which makes for a nice relief from the scorching summer heat. Not too much selection inside when it comes to food options, the place could greatly benefit from having a few 7-11s or family Mart inside. Would be nice to see that in the future.
This place has a lot of potential however it looks run down and was not full. It needs to be repainted, I guess this is another place feeling the affects of covid. There are also animal shows which I am sceptical about since I’m not a fan of keeping animals captive and training them for entertainment. The shows are also in mandarin so if you don’t speak the language you will not under the story lines. There is a large aquarium with a variety of fish but some seemed injured and I witnessed the two turtles fighting with no staff in sight to help and the smaller one looked like it was getting seriously hurt, that left me feeling really uncomfortable and sad for the animal. The staff also don’t speak English which didn’t help. The plus side of it not being full is that there are no queues for the rides so you can go on anything you choose, the rides are well looked after and there are some that are a lot of fun and adrenaline pumping. Overall the situation with the turtles ruined my experience there however perhaps others will not feel the same way.

It was an amazing experience walking through this well set up, organised and clean massive night market! So much to see and so many food stalls to choose from. Tried the salted pork and oysters stall. E27 (if I'm wrong)It was sooo delicious and well worth the money Queued up for the French Toast Sandwich. Stall E80. Chose the Sichuan pepper pork filling and was pleasantly surprised to receive a small drink to go with it. A total of just 65TWD is such a bargain for such deliciousness. Plenty of proper sitting places to enjoy our food!
Not a very exciting market. Many shops still closed. Mostly games for kids and low quality food. Nothing I’d go back for. There were a couple nice shop owners like the paint to number stall. Good prices and friendly. The Jordanian artist next to him was also amazing. Very kind and took time to talk about his sand art with us. There is some live music on different corners. Some was good and some wasn’t. Won’t be going back. Sorry.
It was like visiting a town fair. Lots of games for kids to enjoy. There was a free concert when I went. The food is the same you would get anywhere in Taiwan: noodle soup, fried chicken, sushi (looked great!) meat barbecue and seafood. You would not miss much if you don't visit here.
Great local market. It looks better than most (if not all) night markes in taipei. Various vegan / vegetarian options. It has both food, drinks, random stors and games.
I visited during Taiwan national holiday and the atmosphere was special and lovely. My wife and I liked the buns shop and ate also a shaved ice desert. There were also some singers in each of the market streets.
A good balanced mixture of food and games night market. Varieties of local snacks that are worth trying. They have a designated area for people to sit down and enjoy the food. If you are good with carnival games, no harm try your luck to play and win some stuff toys as souvenirs.
Amazing night market! It's much more organised than the usual night markets in Taipei. The walking space between the shops is a lot bigger so even if it is crowded it is easy to walk around. The food selection is very good, everything that i tried tasted exceptionally! Definitely worth a visit!
Night markets in Taiwan tend to have narrow walkways n crowded. This is quite a breath of fresh air as the streets are wide n spacious, franked by rows of stores selling all kinds of Taiwanese food, tidbits, snacks, bubble teas, QQ eggs, BBQ fish, BBQ corns, cooked food, etc.

**Rating: ★★★★★** Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park is a brilliant fusion of heritage and imagination. This former industrial site has transformed into a vibrant hub of art and creativity, showcasing everything from quirky crafts to impressive exhibitions. It’s like wandering through a contemporary art gallery where the walls are historic buildings and the art is as eclectic as the crowd. Don’t miss the chance to indulge in some local treats—because art is best enjoyed with a side of delicious food! Highly recommended for those who enjoy a blend of culture, creativity, and a touch of culinary adventure.
The place was quite large yet no other activities to be done. Suitable for walking and relaxing for awhile.
This historical site is quite large and chill. At first, I thought it was closed but actually, some impressive exhibits were going on with little announcements or banners. There was an AI Music Hub which was very fun to visit, they projected sci-fi music videos all over the room and turned you into the main character This place is free entrance!
A fun spot for families and kids, offering opportunities to learn about the history of Hualien and enjoy interactive games for children.
DIY clock , shopping n buying 原住民 Slovenia item.... take some time to walk n appreciate the things that they sell n the story behind.... sit somewhere n enjoy all the creation n people .....amaze..... convenient and a very relaxing plays to be in ...... o ya for your info....all those ant on the floor is fake is all drawing.....art....amazing....
Nice area for a short walk, but as a tourist - especially during rainy weather - rather boring. On our visit today, no exhibition had opened and only in two houses, there were average products to purchase. All in all I would just come back to see a specific exhibition.
This used to be a rice wine factory. It was more vibrant when I visited few year ago, with shops and cafes. Now it is being transformed into a cultural / artistic space - but still in the process and it was pretty sleepy when we visited recently. But I still enjoy the architecture and the space
Great place to find interesting gift or souvenir. They have bar and cafe here. You can also DIY music box or clocks here or paint a canvas painting here. There's handicraft and snacks stalls on some days.

Incredible views, definitely recommend this hike. Hiked in a pair of trail runners and it was more than enough. Not too technical, and not too intense of elevation gain. Guides are great about taking it slow and steady for everybody in the group
Intensive cardio workout with amazing views and a bit of adrenaline 😅 We feel very blessed to be able to experience this old trail. We made it back to the starting point in 3 hours and we have met such a lovely local people at the end of the road.
We went with a group of friends and very much enjoyed it. We did it ourself without any outside organisation but it worked nice. Needed to get the permits. For foreigners it was possible to get them early. For Taiwanese it was 2 months before the day of hiking. The application needs quite some data and passport scan, but works out nicely. The first part of the track is quite a climb. Not for the ones who are not physically fit. The last part of the track next to the cliff must be a great view. On the day we were there it was very cloudy. But it was still very much worth it. I believe on a clear day would be even more amazing views. Very much enjoyed the walk and would suggest it to others also.
A highlight of our Taiwan Trip! We had Island Life Taiwan arrange our transportation and permits for this hike. Definitely follow the park and your tour company’s instructions, including getting a permit ahead of time, showing your passport at the entrance, and starting early in the day! It’s worth the trouble! This is currently an out-and-back trail. According to our guide, the initial routing may change in late 2024 or 2025 as improvements are made. Currently the first 1.5k is quite strenuous with almost continuous steps up, then it becomes less strenuous but not flat. There are bathrooms at the 1k mark (and therefore the last 1k on the return). The narrow cliff section lasts about 600m and has great views. I didn’t think it was “scary,” but one definitely shouldn't mess around on this section! There is a rope attached to the cliff to hold on to, as there are few railings and the drop is over 500m. Passing people here is a little tricky. Our Chungwa Telecom phones worked well at the trailhead and for at least the first 1.5k, so communicating with our driver for pickup was easy. There's really no parking at the trailhead. We went really slow and took about six hours, much slower than most, but one of us had blisters.
Fantastic trail with insanely beautiful views of the steep cliffside and the hualien mountains. However make no mistake, this is a challenging trail even though it is only 2 to 2.5 hrs one-way. The ascent requires good physical condition to complete. There are endless stairs in the first km which by themselves are enough to exhaust you. The terrain becomes rougher in the second km and there are several sections where you must hold onto a rope for support to traverse the rocky terrain. Finally the last km is along the steep cliffside which offers majestic views of the mountain scenery above the clouds. However there are few railings along the trail so it is not recommended if you have a fear of heights. Finally, the descent is no easy feat either. Your knees will take a good beating and you will need to have good balance and flexibility to navigate the rocky terrain downwards. You should bring enough water as the temperature is hot and the trail is sure to make you sweat buckets. You definitely do not want to be dehydrated halfway when you're walking the steep cliffsides. Please judge your own physical condition carefully before attempting this trail! Finally, permits are required and you must apply on the website beforehand. A maximum of 96 people are allowed on the trail for each day. On the day, you must bring your passport for verification, and show the email they sent to confirm the permit. You must start the trail between 7 to 10 am, and also PLEASE search in advance for any road closures in the taroko gorge highway 8. We were supposed to drive to hualien from cingjing the day before our hike to our accommodation in hualien but there was a road closure at 114km mark on highway 8 (guanyuan) to repair the road after rock falls / landslides. So... We had to take a 6hr detour to yilan and drive south from yilan to hualien. Fortunately, there were no road closures to drive in from hualien to the entrance of the zhuilu old trail. The road closures only started in March, and it changes all the time, even the locals are not sure. So, please double check and plan your travel in advance!!!
You have to get a permit in advance on the taiwanese site (about a month in advance). Once you are in Taroko, you have to get in before 10am to the trail entrance. The trail itself is about 3hrs total if you are in good shape -pretty steep climb with a lot of stairs. The trail at the top is narrow and can be scary for people scared of heights. The trail itself is very nice, mostly shaded, and once you get up you can see the gorge in its full glory.
Update: 2/2023 We had very different experience this time because of weather. It’s spring time and sunny. The visibility is amazing. It’s equally nice just a lot more scary because you can see all the way down. 11/2020 Most magnificent trails I ever been. Period!!!! The 3.5K uphill is pretty easy and beautiful along the hike. From 2.6K to 3.1k is the best part of the trails. You will be high up on the limestone cliff. Over looking the whole canal. It’s absolutely breath taking.
Wonderful short trail 6km around trip, with magnificent view on the cliff, steep uphill and down for 2km each way. Make sure to go on a clear day to enjoy the scenic hike and for safety concerns. If you drive, get there early to parkon the limited space along the roadside.

The nicest stop on the Bus304 route! Be sure to wear good shoes to climb these rocky paths. No shade so please bring an umbrella or hat!
Came here because of the name, but it was a really nice place to stop in for a quick rest and enjoy of the scenery. Oh and the internet reception was great there. So good ping😎
Beautiful place, interesting waves. Recommend to have a walk in late afternoon and early morning so it’s not too hot. Be careful when you claim on the rock, bring some snacks and enjoy the beautiful blue sea
This place is excellent. It has many beautiful and breath taking areas and views. I enjoyed my experience and time spent here. It is also perfect for photos and it has convenient paths to different areas to this place. This place is breath taking and suitable for family and couples to enjoy their time here. No matter what if you come to Taiwan you must visit this place.
This is a must-do! We absolutely LOVED it here. Hired a taxi to drive us there and stop at a bunch of places on the way. It cost 3000 TWD and we had the car for about 7 hours. It was an amazing day and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. Even on a rainy day, it’s gorgeous.
This place is really Nature's growth and creation. Can really relax your mind just looking at the ocean and the enjoy how the rocks are shaped over time. Depending on the weather, slipperiness on the rocks is really something to watch out for. Do wear proper shoes as the rocks are not very walking friendly. Do always watch your steps even when the scenery is sooo spectacular and the wind is cooling.
This place has beautiful view where you can see the ocean and enjoy the breeze. But dont go there in the afternoon because it will be very hot there. You should wear proper shoes because you need to walk on the rocks~

Mountain Summit Trail - Difficulty: Challenging - Distance: 6-7 km - Duration: 3-4 hours For experienced hikers seeking a more strenuous adventure, this trail ascends to one of the highest points on Sixty Stone Mountain, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape. The trail is steep and rugged in sections, requiring a good level of fitness and proper hiking gear. However, the effort is rewarded with unparalleled vistas and a sense of accomplishment. Note: The best time to visit is during the daylily blooming season, from August to September. However, the trails are accessible year-round, offering different seasonal views.
Views were amazing ! Just be careful on the road since it is narrow and steep
Breathtaking views from the mountain top into the valley. Come here in mid-August 2hen the flowers are in full bloom. You need your own transport to get here though.
We took the train to Fuli Station and managed to easily find a few others to share a cab with. It worked out to 350 NT per person for a round trip. The views are truly awesome and the flowers were in bloom when we visited which added so much more to the beauty of this place.
A really charming and local place with nice Mountain landscapes, definitely worth visiting. Be aware, during the lily season it might get very difficult to go around the narrow mountain roads with the car, but in November most of the places (tea house and local food/souvenirs shops) are closed... Also one of the 2 roads accessing this area might be closed and you will find only a sign in Chinese telling you that!
The place is really beautiful. The flowers season is around second week of September to end of September. From Yuli train station a bus generally goes to the mountain. If you have scooter it's really helpful to travel.
Absolutely beautiful when in season (I went up October 4th, and it was still worth it!). The food is okay, you could skip it. Be careful of the little bugs on the flowers (if you have some peppermint essential oil...put that on your legs and arms before going out in the valley). For a taxi from Fuli station, it’s about 1400, so best if you can find other people to go with you. I had lovely tour guide, she only speaks Chinese so we used google translate! see picture attached for her contact info! Final opinion, worth the $$ to go up! Breathtaking!!!
If you wish to join the daylily season and catch the magnificent view, July to September are the month that fix the season. Shuttle bus are provided tru Hualien gov and will announced tru their website. To check detail you may refer to "Hualien Tourist Service" website with english version, or search tru google with chinese input "六十石山金針花季" and view for d latest info. Road to the top of hill are narrow and rugged, you may also drive up there but sure quite hustle as everyone are chasing there. But overall worth it, you can get magnificent astonishing view up there.

Breathtaking backdrops! From the holes of the tunnels to the picturesque river views, everything’s stunning! If you’re a travel photographer, it would be the kind of place you won’t mind staying in for hours just to take snaps of the place. There are so many wonderful subjects to take pictures of. There are also a few food stops here and there.
We had a hard time finding the trail. We drove all the way past it and went all the way to the top. So we had drive all the way back down. If you see a trail with many people walking and many traveling shuttles then you are in the right place. There is no parking area. They use one side of the road as parking. And the other one for cars to go forward. Tourist will need to stay on the parking side to avoid coming cars. The place is beautiful, worth going but just know there is many traveling tours. There is also a restroom and store there. They sell cakes, juice and coffee.
Beautiful trail to hike to appreicate the beauty of Taroko Gorge. The trail is narrow as most of the trail is shared with a single road on the left. But it is a very see the rock formations and the different layers of rocks.
A must place to visit by joining the 1 day tour including the Taroko Gorge. The views here is awesome and the walk is long but good pave way all along.
This trail is so magnificent. We can see natural rocks and blue water flowing under it. And the cave is good too. But the cave is also for cars driving. So we need to be so careful while enjoying the scenery.
Cool route through the gorge with nice views. The route is next to the road so can be driven as well. There is limited parking but you can stop beyond the white lines (much easier with a scooter). Very popular trail with tour groups!
Swallow Grotto Spectacular views; you cannot miss this place if you visit the National Park. Try to see the swallows that have their nest on the grotto wall. There is a cafeteria in the middle of the train where you can get expresso and waffle
Very cool trail to go through some semi dark tunnels and see the gorge in all of its glory. At the end of the trail there are some parking on the side of the road with restroom and resting area to relax. A must see place.

That was such a beautiful surprise on my evening walk. Incredible, creative draftwood exhibition. You can smell the wood, sit in front if the ocean and listen to the waves. Perfect relaxation.
I forgot to book the tour so we got nothing to do, so we decide to give this park a shot in the late afternoon. We end up spending like 2 hours here just chill, take some photos, and watch the sunsets. I then go to this park in the next morning to watch the sunrise. You can get nicer view here than Qixingtan Beach. Here are some photos and footages I got during my time here.
If you’re having a bad day? Go there for a walk. If you’re having a good day? Go there for a walk. This is a peaceful place to relax, workout, walk, and enjoy the sunshine and sunlight. Just be careful of the electric cars it is a bit dangerous
Absolute must-visit. Perfect for a morning walk with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. Trail is well-maintained and there are family-friendly play areas with lots of space. Good amount of parking.
A lovely walk, well paved and sites along route. Beautiful coastal walk. On a hot day the sea breeze was sensational. The playground was also what I would imagine heaven to look like for kids.
Perfect spot to spend your time relaxing and feeling the wind. There's a lane for jogging and cycling. The beach definitely is not for swimming. It's very close to the night market so you can go there after enjoying the beach
Very nice playground and beach head to pacific ocean
Also known as Pacific Park. The park runs adjacent to the ocean where the local enjoyed cycling, jogging or leisure walking. Good for family outing with children playground. Great place for a morning or evening relaxing walk. Amazing park with the Pacific Ocean literally a stone throw away. Lots of marbles in the park.
