The beer we got was great! Obviously Guinness from the tap is always a hit when done right, and the food was also exceptional! We got the bangers and mash, and a lamb burger and both were fantastic, the lamb burger was juicy, tender, and a unique flavor from beef burger (its not grassy, just trust) and the bangers and mash was a perfect comfort food pick, the potatoes were creamy with chunks of potato in them, the gravy was expertly seasoned, as was the sausage. I am local to the Gettysburg area and I don’t typically drink distilled spirits but I follow them on instagram and the food looked very good. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly by a bartender. He gave us menus and a little time to decide on drinks. We had a hard cider and an old fashioned. We also ordered some salads and I saved room for the butterscotch pudding dessert special I had seen on social media. Everything was very good although the whiskey in the old fashioned was a little over powered by the other ingredients. We ended up getting a 4-pack of their canned cocktails to-go as well. I had tried one of these at another local establishment and it was pretty good. The bar staff were all friendly and attentive. The bar seating was mostly full and there were a lot of groups at tables. Even with the business, the noise wasn’t bad. We found it easy to talk and hear each other. They do serve beer and hard cider for those who don’t drink cocktails or whiskey. But if you do like the spirits, they have plenty including whiskey, bourbon, vodka, brandy, rum, gin and more. The basement tavern room is very cool and has a great atmosphere. The food was just ok but leaves something to be desired. We had the hot roast beef sandwich and the grilled steak sandwich. The hot roast beef sandwich was a bit skimpy on the beef and the sandwich size is on the small size. The grilled steak sandwich had unmelted provolone on it. Both were served with potato chips that clearly came from a bag. Food could be easily improved by homemade fried kettle chips and more attention to detail on sandwich preparation.
