A nice courtyard with a couple of fire pits, the front area had a fire pit & an area to play bocci ball, cornhole & horse shoe. There’s a little hime around the property you can do as well. There’s pool was a perfect size w/ a jacuzzi in the corner. The room we had was on the first floor & had a cute little back patio where we can walk out to go to the pool area. We ate in their restaurant, Cello, both nights. Portions were decent & food was delicious, especially the carbonara. I enjoyed their Belgium waffle for breakfast. I used their gym our last morning there. They did have a washer & dryer but I didn’t get to use it. They also had wine tasting during the day but we didn’t get to try it. We ended up driving to Daou to do a wine tasting which wasn’t too far at all. Bedroom was very roomy, along with the shower. Double vanity. Provided a nice robe & slippers. Bed was very comfortable. I definitely wouldn’t mind staying here again.

I was not about to pack my stuff up at night so we opted to figure it out, which we did. We wound up filling the tank up with water from the sink via the ice bucket every time we needed to flush it. Our room happened to have a cozy balcony overlooking the lodge! I sat there in a comfortable armchair and enjoyed the massive space while reading my book and drinking coffee or wine. Each of the main suites has a seating/lounging area just outside the room to relax. If we had stayed longer, we might have used it, it looked very inviting! The suite itself was comfortable and gorgeous!!! I can't say enough to thoroughly describe how much we enjoyed our stay, we will always look at this as a special place to go to unwind. However, our stay in the Artist Studio had a bee hive in the bathroom walls. It's established enough that we could hear the vibrations and buzzing during the day, and noticed swarms of bees in the nearby trees. When I spoke with the property manager about it, he didn't show much concern except that the bees had to live somewhere and they must love the lavender. I would have expected at minimum an expression of concern, a change in room or discount for our stay would have been better. Or maybe a commitment to address it right away. But because of the response we got, I imagine this is not something that will be taken care of anytime soon. And I get that every place has it's give and take, there was a lot to love about this property- but with a 5 star hotel I would have expected at least a daily skim of the pool. Lovely organic Mount Olive Farms is not far. Paso itself does have some decent eats. Day trips can include the Carrizo plains, the Pozo area, Morro Bay/Los Osos Coast, Avila/Pismo/Grover area, Guadeloupe Dunes, AG/Lopez Lake/Edna Wine area, and of course some history in SLO itself. We have lived & explored the area for several years and always can find some road less traveled. Then he has the audacity to say if we destroy the room we will never be able to stay there again. Even though I was willing to send him the information I just wanted to confirm the email. Moving forward we will no longer stay here as he is very hard to work with. Per my technicians the rooms are nice but there is unwanted female visitors outside if you know what I mean.

Located in a great spot with easy access to tons of vineyards - amazing views and amenities. The staff were great and very attentive.
