Brason was a really great server and made sure all of our needs were met. It seemed like there was a staff shortage tonight and the wait was over an hour to get our food which was a little excessive given that there were only two of us. First time visit. Don't let this location throw you off because it is in a hotel. The view is incredible of the Niagara River with the north end grand island bridge in the background. Does have docking options. Service can be kind of slow, but for our visit I really didn't think it was bad at all. Waiter was pleasant and attentive. Food was pretty good. For our table, we got the Spinch Artichoke Dip (needed more salt we felt, but decent), Chicken Casear salad (delicious, chicken cooked perfectly), Crema Pesto pasta (very good, pasta was great), Chimchurri Steak and Frites (chimchurri yummy, steak was a little tough being medium rare, Cajun fries delicious), Chicken Alfredo with GF pasta (good classic dish, not the best alfredo I have had, GF pasta was good), Chicken Parm and Rigatoni with Meatballs (their homemade sauce is very classic tomato sauce, not a lot of seasoning, thick, tomato flavor). All in all, we thought the experience and meal was enjoyable.

I want to give this a 5 star so badly. The food was awesome, and our waitress was super. She addressed all our allergy concerns and gave us our appetizers for free when the ticket for them was lost. The view from inside the restaurant is lovely, with even a place to tie your boat to the dock. Great outdoor seating as well. But, the wait time is terrible. A very small team appears to currently work there. While they did a great job it took well over an hour to get out food, and most of us never got a refill. In our experience the food was worth the wait, but something like complimentary bread would have gone a long way to help us endure the wait time. Despite the wait, we would likely visit again.

I have been to the Lewiston location multiple times. I was worried that this wouldn’t be as good but I was wrong- the food is the same quality and flavors I have come to expect from Griffon. My husband and I are in town for our Anniversary from Florida and went to Griffons based on their amazing reviews! It didn’t disappoint! The vibe is really cool and cozy. We had the crab and pretzel appetizer which sounds different but was amazing, it was like pretzel bites smothered in crab dip, and then we split a Beef on Weck, which was also amazing, we’ve never had one. We had mentioned it was our anniversary and our waitress Kelsey (also amazing) surprised us with a dessert, which was fried dough drizzled in maple butter, raspberry, vanilla and chocolate sauce. This place is an absolute hidden gem in downtown Niagara Falls, NY. I called ahead to make sure that it was okay to bring my nine year old and the gentleman on the phone assured me it was fine. The place was wonderful nice atmosphere and great wait staff. Food over was very good except we ordered the meat and cheese plate for an appetizer not up to par. I was expecting more the store packaged pepperoni and salami with some cheese and crackers. The steak I had was very good well cooked and season. This place nearly perfect. The food was amazing. We got the Hoisin stack, Bourbon glaze pizza and Truffle cream cavatappi. Being from Jersey my hope for the pizza was mid but it was amazing. Only thing I wish was the bottom was a little more chrisp but the flavor was perfect. The truffle was creamy and we added the chicken protein to it. Our server we attentive and great. Only issues I would say is our drinks were a little strong which some may like but not for me when looking for a more refreshing cocktail.

Classic Niagara Falls Italian Restaurant located at the entrance to Little Italy. This is like dropping in to Nana's House and having Pasta with Her authentic spaghetti sauce recipe that was also Her Nana's recipe. Kind service and perfect food every time. The kids (18 and 15) both got the Taste of Italy platter, they liked the chicken oarm and gnocchi but did not like the cheese ravioli and lasagna as much. However, the building is very attractive, well maintained, and has plenty of parking. I have to assume that the restaurant was there long before the decline of the neighborhood. We ordered the Frito Misto which consisted of Calamari, shrimp, zucchini and pepperoncini and it was cooked perfectly. We also got part well done and part undercooked, amazing . Whoever cut the pizza was very thoughtful, there were big squares for hungry people and really small squares for the kids . But they kept the beer coming and the molten lava dessert was enjoyed and as mentioned, our waitress was great. I wish I could tell you her name but she was working last night August 7th in the dining room.
Quality/quantity of food definitely left something to be desired.
The worst part was that we were hosting six family members from another country who had never eaten in a Canadian restaurant before (and we thought that this would be a great experience as we know it has been in business for over 25 years), and it really wasn't a meal to write home about.

We went there for the gluten free poutine and were told their fries aren't gluten free anymore. It's still marked that way on the menu though. I was told the only thing I could get was gluten free penne with red sauce or gluten free pizza. Those were not on the menu either but the server told us. Went to Micke & Angelo’s to watch the Blue Jays vs Dodgers final and had an awesome time. I ordered some nachos and a pitcher of Miller Lite both were great! After an exhausting day of travel we asked our hotel for a good restaurant within walking distance. Thankfully the concierge recommended this family-owned restaurant next door. This restaurant was a find. I’m confused by some of the negative reviews because I experienced none of the issues mentioned. It is a little like what we call a “pop up” restaurant in Texas - location not on the beaten track, bare bones atmosphere, and open for a limited time while the owners and chef test a concept. (I don’t think this is the case here, as it has been in operation for a few years.) Don’t get hung up on fancy, just go for perhaps the best Italian meal for the price you’ll ever find. The bread was fresh, hot and perfect. The lasagna was very light, with thinly sliced pasta triangles separating the layers of meat, sauce and cheese, much tastier than lasagna-in-a-pan with long, thick pasta that overwhelms the other ingredients. There is a limited wine and beer list, but you can get both, along with soft drinks and bottled water. The chef is visible in the kitchen (very close quarters with just a few tables), and he didn’t interact with the guests - but he is Chef after all! And the wonderful server more than made up for making you feel welcome. If I lived within 20 miles of here, I would come as often as I could.

My husband and I stayed at the Fairfield Inn next door and walked over to eat dinner after a long day of walking about 7 miles. The restaurant is pretty. The server was very friendly. One of the most unique and authentic experiences I've ever had. The company I work for had a Christmas party here and I had no clue what I was truly in for. The atmosphere is extremely inviting and cozy and the staff were phenomenal and very attentive. The appetizers were fresh and delicious!
Next came the cocktails (amazing!).
After we had settled in, we were invited to participate in fresh pasta making, which was (in my opinion) one of the most satisfying parts of this experience because I was extremely nervous about that aspect of the night but it turned into one of the best parts.

I had the pleasure of visiting Carpaccio's Restaurant in Niagara Falls over the Easter weekend while spending time with family. Knowing my love for Italian food, they brought me here—and wow, what a fantastic choice!

Danny seated us and took our drink orders, and shortly after, our wonderful server arrived with our beverages and details on the daily specials (which all sounded amazing). We decided to share a few appetizers as our meal and ordered the charcuterie board, fried calamari, and arancini (crispy risotto balls)—and let me just say, everything was phenomenal. Each dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented.
Beyond the delicious food, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was equally impressive—relaxing, stylish, and welcoming. This was hands down one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve had.

I went to carpaccio first time with a group yesterday . Let me tell yah this place was very surprising . The inside had a great warm feel to it.
Tables were spread out which alot of restaurants I find these days cram people in and then theres no privacy .
The waitress was excellent and on it. Very personable and attentive.

My experience as I ordered the classic spaghetti and meatballs was very good. The meatballs were meaty not heavy on fillers and spaghetti cooked perfect al dente. Sauce was mild and had a nice taste. Everybody else was pleased with there dishes no complaints .
If I could give any constructive criticism would be portions could have been a bit more for price. for example was 5 dollars for added meatballs but only got two small meatballs. I would even pay a bit more like 7 for 3 if was an option.
The complimentary bread on the table is a big plus for me. Not alot of places give bread and especially if you have a pasta dish I give big points to include bread to soak up the sauce at the end .
All in all I would definitely come back especially on Tuesday they have a couple date night special with a price almost to good to be true.

We had a great time at Carpaccio on a double date—very nice Italian restaurant with a solid menu, good atmosphere, and great service. We all really enjoyed our meals and drinks.
The Arancini appetizer was the star of the show—crispy, cheesy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. I had the Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin with veggies and mushroom gnocchi. The pork was perfectly cooked and super flavourful, with the bacon adding just the right salty touch. The veggies were great and the gnocchi was soft and pillowy, though a little on the bland side—but still enjoyable overall.
My wife had the Ravioli Café au Lait—creamy, rich, and with a really nice hint of coffee that worked surprisingly well. Our friends liked their dishes too, especially the Chicken Parm and Gnocchi “Amelia.”
I really appreciated that they had Thornbury cider and beer on draught—a nice touch. Only downside: my buddy paid $9 for a bottle of Corona… which felt a bit ridiculous. Drinks in general were tasty but a bit overpriced.

The butter chicken was passable, but the tandoori chicken was bland, the samosas were hard, and the dahi bhalla didn’t seem fully prepared. The chicken curry lacked flavor. I normally sample dishes at a buffet to decide what to go for — not to avoid charges for waste, but just to be mindful.
To be fair, when the food is genuinely delicious, people rarely waste it. A little more focus on seasoning, texture, and freshness would go a long way in improving the experience.
The service also felt rather unwelcoming. While I don’t expect over-the-top hospitality everywhere, a friendly attitude really enhances a dining experience, and unfortunately, that was missing here too.
Lastly, we were surprised to see an automatic gratuity added to the bill for a group of just 4 adults and a child — something that’s usually applied to larger parties.
All in all, I’d say dine here only if you’re very hungry and have no other option nearby. I truly hope the restaurant considers this as constructive criticism and works on improving both food quality and customer service. Sadly, I won’t be returning — but wish them the best.

My father who grew up in that restaurant ordered the pizza as it was his favorite place when we lived up there, but he said the pizza sucked,and tastes nothing like it used too. My aunts steak sandwich which was ordered medium rare, but was so overcooked, she couldn't finish it. The best thing about our dinner was the huge side salad the give with each meal. It was fresh,huge and the dressing was tasty. We also liked the bread and butter, but we joked that was good, because Dicamillos makes that and not La-Hacienda. I know the original owner passed and these are the new owners, it's a shame because they clearly are banking on a well known name,but the recipes are not as they were. My aunt who worked there for twenty years was embarrassed that she invited us there, because it was not as she remembered it either. In my opinion, go next door to Michael's, they are better and the food still tastes amazing there after all the years. La Hacienda is definitely not what it once was.

Every time we’re in Niagara, my wife wants to go to Johnny Rocco’s for their Mushroom Ravioli.
We went and I decided to get the same thing and so did her cousin. The waiter has probably never had an easier order.

In my review I only gave the food four stars. That is because our Caesar Salad lettuce was limp and really could have used some more garlic and lemon in the dressing. Maybe some fresh cracked pepper too? I know it’s not the main course but to me, the sides are part of the experience and to earn 5 stars, they need to stand out too.
We weren’t planning on getting dessert but when my wife heard Carrot Cake… we did. The carrot cake was spectacular.
Since she got dessert I decided to try a dessert pizza. It was very good. I got mine with vanilla ice cream… which was then right choice. Be warned, it’s a two person dessert.
We did sit on the patio. It was nice but it is a noisy intersection so a touch louder than we would have liked (but still worth sitting outside on a nice day).
We’ll be back. But I do hope they work on their Caesar salads.

Our son was stationed in Niagara Falls, Canada working for one month and visited here several times. He was in love with the baked chicken penne, so on our visit we obviously had to stop here.
We arrive for lunch right when they opened, so the restaurant was relatively empty. Sat in the bar and Andrew was our waiter. He was excellent and very attentive.
For lunch, we had the baked chicken penne, Caprese, a cheese pizza and tiramisu for dessert. The Caprese was a generous portion, and very tasty. The tiramisu is some of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it. Additionally, I appreciated the fact that I was able to order from the diner menu as well as the lunch menu.
Downstairs there’s a large catering/party area called the Wine Cellar. Looks like a great place for a large event.
Overall, great food, and great service. Next time I’m back in the area I will visit again.

The food here is good, not really worth the price in my opinion though. I feel like I’ve had better food at east side Marko’s which is cheaper and a more relaxed environment. The seating was horrible though… service wasn’t the best. The table we got was so crowded and our chairs were touching the booths across the table from us so I kept having to get up and move my chair if someone had to walk through.. a little ridiculous and they might want to re think their seats. Food was okay though. The roasted potatoes were so dry I needed ketchup..chicken parm is big but very thin. The arancini was really really good, but I was still hungry when I left. Just overrated.

As someone who grew up in an Italian family where meals were made from scratch, I can confidently say this restaurant does not offer authentic Italian cuisine. The food lacked flavor and freshness — the tomato sauce tasted like something out of a jar, similar to Ragu. The pasta with tomato sauce was underwhelming; my husband ate it mostly because we were both hungry, not because it was good.
Unfortunately, even the Coca-Cola was flat, which has oddly been our experience throughout Canada.
What stood out, however, was our waitress. I wish I remembered her name — she was blonde, had a beautiful smile, and a gentle, welcoming spirit. She made the experience much better and is the reason I’d even consider coming back.
The restaurant itself wasn’t particularly clean, though the staff overall were very friendly and welcoming.
