Amazing outdoor area and the inside is very cozy. Just the deco is a treat. I was told all bread and pastries are made in-house. They all look delicious. They even have a dog treats menu. What a cute Lil spot, i wish we had time to try some of the other goods here. The staff was kind and helpful, until i returned a croissant for being a little overcooked. They told me I was wrong, but did replace it with a slightly less burnt croissant, but still, kind of rude about it. The parts that weren't burnt, were buttery, balanced and not too sweet, so I enjoyed that. The delicate Mortadella and cheddar flavors were both kind of lost with the burnt flavor, but the textures persisted.
I will give them another try another time. Also, would love some espresso, drip is nice, but hey. They are definitely a bakery first. I will give them another try to see if I cant catch them on a better day

This is a cute little bakery on the corner of small town Steamboat Springs with a gorgeous outside view of the creek. If you sit outside you can see and hear the water running below you. The sandwiches are delicious, but you have to enjoy an uneven ratio of bread to fixings (not surprising since the point of a bakery is its bread!). The cookies are huge and yummy, plus their cinnamon rolls are sweet and sticky. I do recommend ordering the rolls earlier in the day because by lunchtime the outer swirl is a bit crusty for my personal taste. This is such a quaint little Backery nestled right beside a calming creek. You can sit down outside or inside with a nice coffee or freshly baked good (that sells out fast). Staff was super friendly and the vibe was amazing. I definitely recommend trying the cinnamon bun and monkey bread. This should definitely be a morning stop if you live in town or are visiting.

What a wonderful place to have early morning breakfast. We found this as we strolled the streets on our first day here.
We got a warm greeting and lucky to get a booth by the window. We decided to eat inside as weather was a little chill in the outdoor seating.
Katie, our server was friendly, professional and great for food suggestions. Always a smile and key in making us comfortable. Food came out quick. I had the Carnitas Hash without the green chile. Health reasons. The dish came with hash potatoes, perfectly cooked/seasoned carnitas, two eggs staring at me and two tortillas. VERY YUM RATED!
My wife had Sweet Potato Hash. It included kale, onion, seasoning with two eggs and rustic sour dough. Fabulous, is what she said.

Had this place on our family itinerary when in town and we almost skipped it but so happy we stopped. I had the carnitas hash and it was perfection. The potatoes were hot and crisp along with the carnitas they also had a perfect crisp to them and were not dry. The tortillas were soft but toasted. For over $20 you would think a sandwich from here would fill your stomach and fulfill your dreams. But unfortunately I found myself severely disappointed. The avocado griller sounds fantastic in theory — yet unfortunately I was rewarded with very little avocado actually present.

Went here for breakfast and it was delicious. My husband is vegan and they can substitute tofu for eggs which meant he had lots of options. The veggie chili sauce was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Waitress was very friendly. It also wasn’t crowded at 9 AM on a Friday. I used to come to Johnny B’s in the early 2000s when I attended Colorado Mountain College and had one of those grilled cheese sandwiches that are just perfect. I came back to Steamboat today (Feb 2024) and was SO ecstatic that everything is just how I remembered it. The food is still just as delicious and is so reasonably priced. I got the grilled cheese with a cup of chicken corn chowder and a mimosa. My friend got the adult root beer float and a Reuben and we got her daughter the children’s Mac n cheese. What a find! We had the egg, bacon & cheese bagel as well as Smoked salmon bagel. Bagels were lovely, the garlic one was our particular favorite- fluffy and flavorful. The bacon on tbe egg sandwich was cooked perfectly and full of smoke. So lucky to have an amazing market and deli on the West end of town. The Philly was delicious with thick slices of salmon and avocado, rich cream cheese, and the perfect bagel that had that crispy bite but soft inside. We also ordered the Italian which had a generous helping of meat and cheese. She graciously squeezed our small cake into her busy schedule and we put blind trust into her talents since we didn’t have time for a tasting and were coming from out of town. Kary at SBB was so great to work with! We had so many flavors to try at our tasting and they were all so good. We landed on the lavender and white wedding cake flavors and the white chocolate frosting (which was the go to for both) and our cake was a huge hit! After one bite while cutting the cake we got distracted mingling with our guests, only to find out later there was not a piece left. Everyone loved the cake so much! We called up Kary before leaving town explaining we didn't get a piece of our own wedding cake because it was just that good and she was so nice to make us half a dozen cupcakes in our lavender / white chocolate wedding cake flavor.
