It was hands down the best meal I had while in Colorado. Before I get into the food, I love how friendly the staff was. When we came in the hostess greeted us and she was very friendly. They are pretty busy so reservations are recommended unless you are cool dining at the bar. We ended up dining at the bar and I am glad we did because the bartender was so friendly. He offered great conversation and gave us tips on other places to check out in the area. We asked him for sweet tea which wasn't on the menu, but he made it sweet for us. We are ladies from the south who love our sweet tea. The bar tender knew the menu we'll and was able to answer our questions about what is on the menu and any special requests. I ordered the grilled Rocky Mountain ruby red trout, baked potato (with all the fixings to the side), and steamedbbroccoli with their special cheese sauce on the side. My mom ordered the sirlon with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. While we waited for our food we were told to grab a salad from the salad bar. Everything was fresh and there was a lot of variety of items to put on your salad. When we came back to our seats from the salad bar, the bar tender also brought us over some warm bread and cinnamon rolls. We really enjoyed our meal and the customer service experienced in Colorado. Going to the Ore House felt very welcoming and I would recommend this resturant to anyone in steamboat. I will definitely be back during future trips.
