The place had a really relaxed vibe and all of the staff were really friendly and helpful. There was plenty of room to park, our room was nearby and the pub itself just a few paces away from where we were staying in a converted outbuilding. There were lots of things on the menu I could have chosen but we plumped for cheese soufflé and for me, hangar steak, chips and salad. Simple but really good. It’s also I think the only place I’ve stayed at where the toast arrived immediately after the rest of the food so it was hot, and the butter was soft and spreadable rather than cold and hard.
