We'd seen this fascinating new art centre featured in a UK TV programme called "Travel Man" with Bill Bailey and Joe Lycett. The TV clip gave only a fraction of the personal experience of walking through the doors into another world. One way to describe it is as a surreal 360 degree birthing experience, because you move from the dark into the light, surrounded by multi-coloured fronds of fluffy material, all set to the sonorous sounds that you might hear from inside a womb. Others might say that it's like walking through a car wash where sound replaces water. Either way, it's a captivating space and it was an unexpected pleasure to lie back and sink into the soothing arms of this extraordinary exhibit. The rest of the gallery is a brightly-lit space, filled with intriguing pieces to catch your attention. It's a little tricky to find if you follow your satnav too closely - just look for the steep uphill path close to the roundabout and drive up there.
