No parking on site, and the nearest parking is on the river/straight front and costs £7 whether you stay for 5 mins or all day. Reasonable entry charge and straight away you're presented with a stunning aspect on the outside of the moat. You then enter the castle through a beautiful drawbridge. Once inside, there are options to walk the ramparts or, in a unique aspect from my experience, an inner walkway. Both walks provide unique perspectives to view the inner and outer castle walls as well as the fighting points available when the castle was operational. No great guidance once inside, but a nice little shop on exit.
