Hotel
Zarafshon Parkside Hotel is a luxurious accommodation option in Samarkand, offering a beautiful building, garden, and outdoor pool. The staff are known for their genuine friendliness and interest in engaging with guests. The hotel's breakfast buffet is particularly elaborate and delicious, making it a standout feature. While the location is convenient to restaurants and parks, reaching major historical sites may require a 25-minute walk along a pleasant boulevard.
Great experience staying at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel property is modern, well maintained, clean with a great garden view from the room. Good variety at the breakfast spread. Most importantly, the service was great and welcoming. From the hotel manager who was very accommodating to the employees who made us feel welcomed. We also arranged a few car transfers at wee hours and the service was very reliable. Highly recommended!
Kelly L — Google review
It’s a nice hotel. Very nice building from the outside. Service and welcome are good and pleasant. Check in was easy and straightforward. Rooms are small, we got a ground floor room with a window over the courtyard. 2 twin beds and a small table. The BR is also small but overall comfortable bed and clean room. The toiletry is also of good quality. The location is good; not too far from the main attractions; on a very quaint and lovely street. The also have a lovely courtyard where one can chill in the sun. The breakfast is generous, lots of fruits, but the food is just ok in quality and taste. This is a dry hotel; they don’t serve alcohol at all. So no beer to chill in this nice courtyard.
Naim A — Google review
This place had nice rooms, with comfortable bed and decent bathroom. There is a gym here, kind of a closet but has enough equipment to get a full workout in. The hotel is no alcohol fyi. Good location, walkable to many locations around it. the grounds of the hotel are pretty and if you're looking for a place to relax for a bit can go to the courtyard area
Brian C — Google review
We had an incredible experience staying here! The room and all the facilities were spotlessly clean, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. We especially loved the poolside service, such a relaxing touch. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The courtyard is stunning. The location is perfect, within walking distance to most major attractions, restaurants, and shops. I highly recommend staying here—you won’t be disappointed!
Shila F — Google review
Everything is perfect except for the small-sized bedrooms. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The room service is very quick. The morning breakfast is diverse and delicious. The location is a walking distance from many restaurants, cafes and landmarks. Highly recommended
Hassaan A — Google review
Staying at Zarafshan Parkside was a delightful experience. The location couldn’t have been better—close to Central Park and Registan Square. The hotel, a beautifully renovated heritage property since 2022, felt both historic and modern. Our room was incredibly comfortable, but the highlight of our stay was relaxing at the pavilions in the charming garden. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were some of the warmest and most helpful we encountered on our trip. It was the perfect place to soak in the magic of Samarkand!
Sara T — Google review
Three wonderful nights at this hotel. Everthing was perfect: kind and smiling people at the reception, very clean and very comfortable common indoor and outdoor areas ..large, comfortable, well equipped and quiet bedrooms. Wonderful breakfast full of both hot and cold choices. A very nice garden where to relax after an exercusion downtown and if it is hot...a nice swimming pool where to refresh and drink something in the meantime. The perfect choice in Samarcanda in my opinion because it is not a very large hotel and so it seems everyone is looking after you which is a very positive feeling when you are not at home. Well done!!
Roberto F — Google review
Our room was large (we were upgraded to a deluxe room), with ample of light, very comfortable bed and a large bathroom (warming rack is a useful feature). Room and public areas are spotless. Service, from cleaning ladies to front desk, was very attentive. Breakfast had some Uzbeki items in addition to typical Western fare. Hotel is a 5 min ride from Amir Timur mausoleum, which usually is the first stop on tours. There is a nice Georgian restaurant 4 min away. Decent gym. Would stay again if in town

Hotel DiliMah Premium Luxury is a newly established hotel in Samarkand, offering top-notch security at the reception. The staff may have some language barriers, but the hotel boasts beautiful decorations and a pleasant pool area. However, rooms near the pool or above the conference room might experience noise from frequent weddings. Despite some communication challenges with staff regarding pricing and service, this hotel offers great decor and comfortable rooms.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Dilimah during my visit to Samarkand, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. Hospitality: The hospitality at Hotel Dilimah is truly exceptional. The staff members go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable. They greeted me with warm smiles and were always ready to assist with any request I had. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing local recommendations, or simply engaging in friendly conversation, their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident throughout my stay. Services: The hotel's services are top-notch. The front desk staff was efficient and responsive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. The housekeeping team kept my room impeccably clean and well-maintained, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere for my entire stay. Additionally, the concierge was incredibly knowledgeable about the local attractions and helped me plan some unforgettable excursions around Samarkand. Comfort: Hotel Dilimah provides a level of comfort that truly makes it a home away from home. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with all the amenities I could wish for. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, and the attention to detail in room design added to the overall comfort. I especially appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff in anticipating guests' needs. Restaurant Sophia: One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Restaurant Sophia. The restaurant exudes elegance and charm, with a delightful ambiance that's perfect for both romantic dinners and family gatherings. The menu featured an enticing array international dishes, each prepared with precision and creativity. I savored every meal I had there, from the sumptuous breakfasts to the delectable dinners. The staff at Restaurant Sophia were attentive and provided excellent recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience. In summary, Hotel Dilimah in Samarkand left an indelible mark on me. The impeccable hospitality, exceptional services, and luxurious comfort made my stay truly memorable. I can't recommend this hotel enough to anyone visiting Samarkand. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, Hotel Dilimah will ensure you have a remarkable and enjoyable stay. I can't wait for the opportunity to return and experience their hospitality once again.

This is one of the most fantastic hotels one can find in Samarkand. It has fantastic courteous staff specially Mr Shokhrukh at Reveption. His customer service and respect of customers is excellent and I actually booked the hotel based on his service. I recommend everyone to come and stay here.
Sajid R — Google review
Very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were very modern and spacious. Bed and pillows were overly firm for my taste. The staff puts out delicious cookies every evening in the lobby. We were there for 3 nights and saw two weddings....must be a very popular hotel.
Mike P — Google review
Dirty rooms, the bald manager is rude and unprofessional. Don't stay here. Couldn't even use the pool because the water was dirty. Not worth the stay at all.
ShøX R — Google review
This hotel, defines opulence. The hotel boasts immaculate cleanliness and a tastefully designed interior, enhancing the overall stay with a touch of elegance. The breakfast offered is not only satisfying but also elevates the luxurious experience, featuring a delightful array of choices. Beyond the plush accommodations, Dilimah is strategically positioned for those keen on exploring the rich history of Samarkand, notably during the Registrants and Amir Temur era. Its proximity to historical sites adds a layer of cultural richness to the stay, making it an ideal choice for history enthusiasts. The hotel's commitment to luxury extends beyond aesthetics, manifesting in attentive service and thoughtful details that contribute to a seamless and indulgent experience. Whether unwinding in the well-appointed rooms or starting the day with a sumptuous breakfast, guests are treated to a harmonious blend of comfort and sophistication. In essence, Dilimah Luxury Hotel goes beyond being a place to stay; it becomes a pivotal part of the travel experience, seamlessly combining modern luxury with the allure of Samarkand's storied past. For those seeking a blend of comfort, history, and refined hospitality.
Double K — Google review
Customer service was beyond incredible. Very sweet and hospitable. The rooms were super clean and very spacious. The pool area was really nice to sit at especially at night. My wife and I were very happy with this place and most certainly recommend it.
Talal J — Google review
Good hotel in general in the amazing city, but at me from the room Airpods were gone. Staff of course, says that checked the employee of cleaning of the room and found nothing, but there are no other options and it upsets. Be attentive to the things if decide to stay in this hotel and use the safe
Denis B — Google review
The hotel is more or less ok, but it is very noisy: roaring disco is up to 11 pm, drunk people are arguing well up to 4 am. Service is average, room service woke us up at 08:00 am on Sunday for no reason.

Mövenpick Hotel Samarkand is a modern hotel with a newly renovated design, located in the center of Samarkand. The reception staff, particularly Alexandra, are known for their professionalism and friendliness. The hotel offers updated amenities such as mini USB and USB charging, Qibla location for Muslim visitors, and additional faucets. Guests appreciate the good breakfast and high standard service and food.
I had a lovely stay here. The bed was super comfortable and the room had everything I needed. The lobby area is the main focus though. It is so thoughtfully curated. It's a stunning place. I'd come back!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Move&Peak Hotel in Samarkand with my family. The hotel exceeded all expectations in every way. The breakfast was rich, fresh, and delicious — the perfect start to each day. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering everything we could possibly need. The service was truly exceptional: the staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Prices are very fair for the quality and comfort offered, which made our experience even better. A very special thank you goes to Alexandra, who personally looked after me and my family during our entire stay. She showed extraordinary care and attention, especially considering the serious health issue I experienced during those days. Her kindness, professionalism, and support will never be forgotten. From the bottom of my heart — thank you, Alexandra. We will definitely return to Move&Peak Hotel whenever we come back to Samarkand, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful city.
Davide Z — Google review
The hotel has a great location, and the reception staff were very nice and attentive. The room was comfortable, but the cleanliness did not meet our expectations for a Mövenpick hotel. Another disappointing detail was the airport transfer we booked through them — €86 compared to the €10 taxi fare.
Polina — Google review
Stayed here for 4 nights and firstly would like to say a big thank you to Nurridin on the front desk who checked us in and helped me with a visa he was so friendly and helpful and was good to talk to. The hotel itself is nice but a little dated and the sleep quality in room 4666 was terrible had a conjoining room you could hear everything from them brushing their teeth, farting, messing with bags etc which was no good. The indoor pool temperature was freezing and not nice at all, the sauna was barely warm either. Location was good around 20 minutes walk from Registan, don’t think this hotel was worth the price though and is definitely not 5 stars unfortunately.
Chris G — Google review
This is a good option, but not great for the Mövenpick brand. During our stay, the air conditioning didn’t work one night with a temperature of 36C, in another room for 3 days straight the hot water in the shower didn’t work either. The quality of baked products for breakfast is better at the high end Boulevard across the street. What I did like: rooms have both European and American outlets. The pool. Management did a good job to try fix the issues
George B — Google review
Pleasant hotel in a convenient area of the city, great rooms and facilities. Quiet surroundings. The pool was a godsend in the searing heat! Davlat at reception went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable.
Jason W — Google review
Nice hotel in samerkand. Rooms are good. Service is not that much, they just clean the room proviide water bottles, and make the bed. They do not remove empty bottles, even they did not clean the used tea mugs.
Bader A — Google review
We enjoyed the swimming pool, the comfortable rooms and the courteous service provided by Alexandra from the front desk. Housekeeping missed replenished some small items but it was quickly resolved after a call to front desk.

Hotel Grand Samarkand is a classic-style boutique hotel located in the heart of the ancient city of Samarkand. The elegant, warm-colored rooms offer a comfortable stay with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a rooftop swimming pool, Finnish sauna, and indoor pool for relaxation after exploring nearby attractions like St. John Roman Catholic Church and Gur-Emir Mausoleum.
The first really truly plump comfortable beds since leaving the UK. The rooms were homely and the hotel had a central atrium with seats and garden area. I would recommend this hotel for it's unique style and home comforts that you will truly appreciate coming to the end of your Silk Road journey where the beds are almost solid wood and no concept of what enables a good night's sleep. This hotel seems to truly get what travellers need at the end of a days exploring.
Jackie F — Google review
We stayed in four hotels during our time in Uzbekistan. I took an instant dislike to this place which was probably rather unfair of me, but surely they could have come up with a less pretentious name. The place was clean, but the room was let down by the availability of power sockets. Oh – there were loads. But none in any sensible place. Behind units, on the floor behind the beds… an issue I discussed with other guests all of whom felt the same. The food wasn’t bad, but the beer was rather overpriced; over fifty per cent more than the rate charges in other restaurants. And I feel I should whinge about the coffee machine in the dining area which wasn't really up to the demand. If you are providing breakfast for dozens of people you really can’t use the sort of machine that people use at home. Taking over a minute per cup as the queue grows and grows simply isn’t on.
Dave S — Google review
Absolutely arrogant managers who have no idea what hospitality means. Managers walk around the hotel like they own the World. No Smile and No greetings towards in-house guests. Breakfast options could be better. Feels like a hostel menu. For the dollars you pay, you get only disappointment.
DAD — Google review
We loved our stay at Grand Samarkand Superior. Wifi was great, good gym, delicious breakfast, great shower pressure, spacious and clean room. The service was outstanding - they always checked in with us if we need anything during our stay. Organised free transfer to the station and a cute souvenir. Well-done, team!
Nelsy N — Google review
We stayed in the Superior A, Superior B across the street. Very clean, reasonable breakfast, small bar (slightly high prices for beer). Close to popular restaurant Platan ( booking advised) and one or two others but not walking distance to major historical sights.
Peter M — Google review
We had a very pleasant stay here. Staff was especially cordial and accommodating our late checkin and requests. Breakfast was delicious. They have a nice Italian style courtyard and it’s very pleasant to sit and have tea there . Will definitely stay here again.
Mohammed K — Google review
Pleasant enough location but no lift and 5 floors. Shortage of plugs in room. No bedside lights or plugs. Swimming pool on roof is small and needs cleaning. Evening meal OK but breakfast somewhat limited. Staff friendly and helpful.

Wow wow wow ! Great amazing and just wonderful ! This hotel is really an example for a hilton. We were impressed! The welcome of the reception and also a manager (I thing guest services) was so good ! I forgot his name unfortunately:( But he was really professional and amazing ! The rooms, breakfast, amenities are just perfect. This hotel is a bit further from the center but 100% worth it. Also we did not have the best food experience in Samarkand but ended up eating in the hotel. Im not a hotel diner usually but it was wonderful. The skybar is also a must. Also as a diamond member you can enter the executive lounge that is also exceding my expectations. I thought the hotel is a week old but apparently its a few years old already. Everything looked like first time used? What can be improved ? Nothing !

I stayed at different Hilton hotels worldwide, but this one was very exceptional. We very enjoyed breakfast, rooms and view. Especially the service was on a sky level, the Deputy Manager Mr. Begzod and Guest Relationship Manager Mr. Jasur made our stay unforgettable, I never meet such Guest caring Managers, big thanks to them!!! Definitely will come again!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Stay at Hilton Samarkand Regency! My experience at Hilton Samarkand Regency was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warmth and professionalism, making me feel truly welcomed. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending modern luxury with touches of local elegance. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with breathtaking views of Samarkand. The attention to detail in housekeeping and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was a highlight—an impressive variety of fresh, high-quality options, both international and local, all served with attentive hospitality. The restaurants and lounge areas also offered fantastic dining experiences throughout the day. The location is perfect for exploring the city’s historic landmarks while still offering a peaceful atmosphere to relax after sightseeing. The spa and wellness facilities are also world-class, adding to the overall feeling of comfort and relaxation. Most importantly, the staff went above and beyond in every interaction. Their genuine kindness, efficiency, and readiness to help made my stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend Hilton Samarkand Regency to anyone visiting this incredible city. It truly sets the standard for five-star hospitality in Uzbekistan.

Hilton Regency Samarkand exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and supportive, making me feel truly at home. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, and the atmosphere carries a quiet sense of luxury. Breakfast was simply perfect;fresh, varied, and beautifully served, the best way to start each day. Every detail felt thoughtfully handled, which made the entire stay seamless. An amazing experience overall; I’ll definitely recommend Hilton Regency Samarkand to anyone visiting the city. It’s hospitality done right.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We came to Hilton Samarkand just for breakfast and had such a great experience. The Operational Manager, Bekzod, even recognized us from our stay at Hilton Tashkent back in 2021 and personally welcomed us — such a nice touch! Breakfast was delicious with great service. Afterward, he kindly showed us some rooms since suites were booked, and we also checked out the pool and gym — everything looked amazing. The hotel feels like a real resort with beautiful landscaping. Loved it!
Monica K — Google review
Everything 5 stars about the hotel. Luxury for a very affordable price. Including premium gym, spa, pool… lounge & restaurants… for going to center hotel offers their own cars with drivers, very convenient service! One of the kindest people I ever met in general in Uzbekistan… incl hotel staff.
Evita J — Google review
5 star hotel, me and my family had a great experience. Breakfast was excellent . The place and the pool area are immaculate. The only problem I had was with the reception service. I thought that they were not really nice. Overall experience 5 out of 5. I recommend to stay there.
Sevara L — Google review
I honestly cannot believe this property is branded under the Hilton name. My stay at the Hilton in Samarkand was nothing short of awful. From the moment I walked in, the staff were rude, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. Instead of the hospitality you would expect at an international hotel, I was treated with disrespect and outright arrogance. The service was beyond unacceptable. I had to wait hours for simple responses to basic requests, and when I followed up, I was met with eye-rolls and a tone that was nothing less than insulting. Staff made inappropriate comments, as if it was some kind of joke to belittle a guest. This wasn’t just bad service — it was hostile, degrading, and embarrassing. The hotel itself was no better. The place felt dirty and poorly maintained, with corners of the room that looked like they hadn’t seen a proper cleaning in months. It’s shocking that management allows such a lack of standards to continue under a global brand. I travel often, and I can say without hesitation: this was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. If you value your dignity, your time, and even just basic cleanliness, avoid this place at all costs. Hilton should be ashamed to put their name on this property.

The Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand Sogd offers 4-star accommodation with a fitness center, restaurant, and bar. My recent stay (2nd week of April, 2025) at the Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand Hotel, during my journey from Samarkand to Bukhara, was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel GM - Mr. Fariz Samadov, at the entrance and greeted with such kindness and genuine hospitality. The room was spotless, cozy, and offered a view we’ll be dreaming about for a long time. Every detail—from the warm and friendly hospitality to the thoughtful local recommendations—made our stay feel incredibly special. A heartfelt thank-you to the GM and His Team for making us feel so at home. We look forward to returning soon!

Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience here. We went out for sightseeing during the day and locked our room door, but it was opened by an unknown person and left unlocked for the entire day. This raises serious concerns about the security of this hotel. The front desk staff had an extremely poor attitude and made no response to this matter. I have stayed at many Hilton Garden Inn hotels, but the service at this one is by far the worst. In addition, there is an unpleasant odor in the room, which is unacceptable.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. What truly stood out, however, was the excellent service. I had to edit my review. I mistook it for another hotel we stayed in. Hilton deserves 5 stars....the service was exceptional...at the reception as well as the restaurant. Breakfast was amazing . If I have to go back, rest assured, I'll stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Samarkand. THANK YOU for making our stay memorable.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. At the beginning, I was told that the invoice would be waiting for me at check-out. I left my details, told them when I was leaving, and there was supposed to be no problem. Of course, there was no invoice, my details had not been passed on, and the man at the reception explained that I could only receive a pro forma invoice at the moment, and the rest would probably be sent later. In addition, the restaurant's operation is a joke. At breakfast, the lady practically yelled at me that she wanted to eat something at 9:50 a.m., told me to quickly decide what I wanted and sit down because they wanted to clean up. Later that day, there was a problem with room service orders. The only thing you could order via that app, was cola. Nothing more, nothing less. For two days, I reported the problem that it was impossible to order through the app on the TV. No one fixed the problem. Later, when I placed an order by phone, the restaurant staff pretended to be cats. Yes, cats. So when I tried to order anything, the only response was “meow meow,” which the same man from the reception desk acknowledged with a smile and almost laughed in my face. In the end, the food arrived, and it was mediocre. The best part was the service charge, despite the problems with the order and the service. Great advertising for Uzbekistan. Never again Hilton, never again to Samarkand. I do not recommend it.

The interiors are elegant yet inviting, the rooms are spacious and spotless, and the amenities are thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and convenience. The staff in the hotel are attentive, kind, and always ready to help. The location is also perfect, it is close enough to explore the city’s rich history and culture, yet quiet enough to truly unwind. I also really enjoyed dining at the hotel, with a mix of international favorites and authentic Uzbek dishes everything was delicious. The real gem, though, is the Hilton Garden Inn Spa. The design, atmosphere, and overall environment create such a peaceful escape. Rustam, who manages the spa, runs it with great professionalism and care, while Sitora at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful from start to finish. The service was excellent, I will be coming back again!

Nestled in the heart of Samarkand, Silk Road by Minyoun is a luxurious 5-star hotel that promises an unforgettable stay for discerning travelers. The spacious and well-equipped rooms offer modern amenities, ensuring comfort and convenience. Guests can indulge in exquisite dining experiences at the hotel's restaurants, which serve high-quality meals for breakfast and dinner.
This is absolute heaven for travellers with high demands - quality of furniture, smart set up, top quality of bed, linen and pillows. Additionally, what usually becomes an annoying part - too many switches in the shower - the shower system in this hotel is brilliant! It is two buttons - top shower head and a classic shower head. You know straight away where to press to get a water. Breakfasts are top as well. Especially omelette cooked by the chef. Big swimming-pool. Happy to discover a new 5-star hotel chain. P.S. One little thing can be improved. I asked to send a postcard at the receptio and was met by surprise by check-in desk people. Just letting you know it is a widespread practice around the world to send postcards from a visited city to family and friends. In almost everywhere I had this opportunity to just send a postcard from hotels. I hope this practice will be introduced in the hotel.

A good hotel overall, but certain things fall short of 5-star expectations The hotel has many great qualities — the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, which is definitely a highlight. Staff are generally polite, and the design and atmosphere are pleasant. However, considering this is a 5-star hotel, there are a few issues that shouldn't be happening. Breakfast was exactly the same for six days in a row, with no variation at all. More importantly, if you arrive around 9:30 (even though breakfast is served until 11:00), most of the food is not replenished, so you're left with whatever is still available. The outdoor pool is quite small, with very few loungers, and there is no visible staff to assist if anything is missing. Towels, for instance, were often unavailable. The indoor pool gets very crowded on weekends, and during our stay, a large group of families with children behaved quite inappropriately. We reported it to the staff, who gave a verbal warning, but it had little effect. Another issue is the shuttle service within the complex, which is huge, only runs until 6 PM. In the evening, you're left to walk up to 2 km if you want to explore some of the attractions. In summary, this is a nice hotel with potential, but some organizational and service-related issues need improvement to truly live up to its 5-star rating.

New hotel on the rowing channel. Excellent service, fast wi-fi. Good breakfasts. Beautiful view from the room, if the floor is high. Excellent gym with Technogym and SPA equipment. Pros - Wi-fi - View - Breakfast - Friendly staff Cons - The sockets in the bathroom did not work - The electric curtain drive works intermittently

I had a beautiful 3-day stay here. Loved every moment of it from a smooth check-in (thanks to front desk officer Dildora) to a quick and easy check-out on the last day. My room was well equipped and prepared, with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had and an amazing view from a floor-to-ceiling window. The service in general was excellent in all the hotel facilities.

Building and room comfort is ok , but breakfast definitly not at a 5 stars level and the night club of the hôtel making heavy noise and vibrations until 2:00 AM , impossible to sleep especially when you have to get up at 5:00 to go at the airport. When I asked the lobby to solve that : no effect and no compensation for the convenience. I have been travelling in many countries, I never seen that before. Is it a night club or a hôtel ? It’s a shame After reading the hôtel Answer , it confirms that the hôtel management is more interested by money and margin rather than service and compensations

Everything is good except food and service. Waiters aren’t attentive, food is served almost cold or super-hot because it is from microwave, i burnt my tongue. Fried Chicken breast was dry, then ordered meat which was also dry. Photos attached, then ordered bolognese pasta, which wasn’t cooked al-dente… rooms are clean. Location- very far from the city, will take at least 30min to get to populated places.

Hello folks, The hotel club lowers the quality of the hotel.I witnessed that the guests upstairs were disturbed by the noise and wanted to change their rooms from the reception. Let's talk about the treatment of us.The hotel club was closed due to a party, but the receptionist told us that it was open. When we went, the security guard at the door and the party owner started to argue with us rudely. Anyway The next day we asked to make a reservation for the terrace. This time the manager named Faruk showed us the bar stools and asked us to sit there with the same rude attitude. The hotel is good, but the Club is definitely not suitable for this hotel. I also observed that most of the people coming to the club from outside are drunk people. There is no security check when entering the hotel. They can easily enter any room and harm the guests. Room number 71506.

Silk Road Empire Hotel in Samarkand offers a range of amenities including free bikes, a garden, and a children's playground. The hotel features comfortable rooms with plush carpeting and well-appointed bathrooms. Guests can enjoy the on-site museum showcasing Uzbekistan clothing and rooms named after historical figures. Although not centrally located, the hotel provides easy access to transportation. Visitors appreciate the helpful staff and personalized service. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious meals, while the clean and spacious rooms ensure a pleasant stay.
I started my one-day trip in Samarkand at the Silk Road Empire Hotel, and from the very beginning, I was greeted with warm, sincere service. The beautifully designed interior was a wonderful surprise that instantly lifted my spirits. After returning from sightseeing, I was offered a slice of fresh watermelon that washed away the day’s fatigue — and when they served a chilled glass of white wine on top of that, I was truly touched. The breakfast was excellent, and every staff member provided service that felt like a dream. Even after checkout, they kindly offered a free limousine ride to the train station — such generosity! Thank you, truly. The service was perfect in every way. Just one word for everything: thank you.

I had an INCREDIBLE stay at the silk road empire! The staff was so kind and helpful. They were eager to serve. From morning arrival to evening treats to a spectacular concierge, they set the bar for hospitality. This was by far our favorite hotel in Uzbekistan. Rooms were clean and beautiful. They offered us soft or firm mattresses to ensure we were comfortable. Unlimited complementary water bottles provided our entire stay. Each night, they stopped by our room to drop off a complimentary sliced watermelon and a drink. Great service. Highly recommend.

An incredibly exciting and beautifully located hotel with lovely rooms. The staff do everything to make you feel comfortable as a guest. We experienced incredible hospitality with wine and fruit in the room daily as a gesture from the hotel. Lovely breakfast with a rich selection. This is a hotel with an extreme focus on service to its guests. Recommends everyone to book accommodation at this hotel.

Amazing hotel in the center of Samarkand. It’s run by a super friendly family who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive until you leave. The rooms are big and very clean, breakfast is great, and there’s also a small restaurant open till late. There’s even a little museum in the hallways, which is really nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back next time we’re in Samarkand!

This has been by far the best hotel during our trip to Uzbekistan. The hotel has several museum-like areas and the staff makes a short explanation of them. The rooms are great, very well decorated, super confortable and quiet. The service is fantastic and all the staff is super helpful. They had several details with us that we have never seen before in any hotel. Breakfast is very complete and delicious. Highly recommended !

Medina Hotel Samarkand is a well-equipped property with free bikes, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a fitness center. The hotel offers room service, a restaurant, and a terrace. Guests can enjoy the 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, shared lounge, and free WiFi. The location is great for exploring Bibi Khanym Mosque on foot.
However, we stayed only for 02 nights but the kind of service & treatment we have got was absolutely incredible. Right fron their welcoming nature, room allocation, helping about the city information, and finally offering free station drop off when we have early morning 4 o'clock departure from Samarqand to Tashkent. Amazing people, nice rooms, good WiFi, and pretty good location, very nearby to all the attractions of Samarqand.

Hotel seems popular. Its located at a good location with plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby, and no more than 10 minutes drive to many attractions. Room decor is kind of tacky, but that seems to be the design norm here. Good sized, although the entryway is pretty squeezy due to the bukly wardrobe. Bed is quite comfortable. The hotel breakfast has a decent spread and tastes pretty good. Service is just OK
Muhammad N — Google review
The facilities and cleanliness are acceptable. However, there are notable differences in the staff’s attitude: some employees are very attentive, while others seem uninterested in their work. I would like to highlight several negative aspects regarding the service in the restaurant. First of all, the slowness: waiting times are excessive. A concrete example is ordering a coffee, being told it would take five minutes, waiting 20 minutes, and never receiving it. The same happened at the Yasmin restaurant, located within the hotel. Another incident that concerned us took place in the pool area. One day, my partner saw a man leaning out of a window, pointing his phone toward the pool and recording teenage girls in swimsuits. When he noticed we were watching, he quickly closed the curtain and stopped. Situations like this should never occur; greater presence and supervision in the area would have prevented it. In addition, we suspected that some employees were using the facilities themselves, which gave an unprofessional impression. In conclusion, if the hotel wants to open up to tourism and leave a good impression, there are important aspects that need improvement.

I can’t stay silent about the situation we experienced at this hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk staff claimed our reservation had been canceled by Booking.com, even though we had clearly booked through Agoda. When I mentioned this, they began making calls and, after some time, found us a room—but in a different hotel nearby. It was clear they had overbooked and were trying to cover it up. After spending one night in the alternate hotel, we were surprised again when we were told—while heading out for sightseeing—that we had to vacate that room immediately. No one informed us in advance. Only then were we moved into our originally booked room at the Medina, but we couldn’t check in until 2 PM. This was incredibly inconvenient, especially since we were supposed to be staying there for two full nights from the start. The whole situation was chaotic and poorly managed. The only real positive was the breakfast—it was genuinely tasty. However, the pool seemed poorly maintained, with cloudy water suggesting it hadn’t been cleaned regularly. Overall, I have very mixed feelings about this stay. I’m sharing this so future guests are aware and can decide accordingly.

Medina Hotel Samarkand – A Delightful Stay! I had a wonderful experience at the Medina Hotel Samarkand. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist, making me feel right at home. Especially one of the receptionist named Firouz. He helped us a lot to solve our team's personal problems. Although it was not part of his duties at all. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet; it offered a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. The hotel's location was convenient, with many of Samarkand's attractions within walking distance. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

Lia! by Minyoun Stars of Ulugbek is a charming hotel that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to its friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. Located slightly outside the bustling city center, this hotel provides a serene environment with fresh air, perfect for restful nights. While it may not boast as many facilities as its neighboring sister property, Silk Road by Minyoun, guests can still enjoy complimentary access to those amenities.
For me, it is highly recommended 👌 and it's one of my favourite locations in Samarkand away from the crowd, and it's in an open area where you can enjoy the morning 🌄 walk. Good services and staff are helpful. Swimming pool and spa are not available, but complimentary access is provided for guests in the nearby hotel ( Lia grand) . Will visit again 😊

Our driver send us to Silk Road By Minyoun, upon check in, the Receptionist told Lia! By Minyoun Stars of Ulugbek is 300m next building. But he is kind to chauffer us with our Luggages in Hotel Buggy to the entrance of Lia!By Minyoun Stars of Ulugbek Stayed in Junior Suites 8412 & 8512 for 2 nights. It is nice and cosy , has big balconies with nice view. However the toilet bidet heater has no plug ! There is No signage on how the shower works, and insufficient wall plugs for us to work around. Basin or Vanity has no space for our own toilet amenities. Pillows are too soft for our liking. We asked Receptionist where to have dinner, their is Cafe is closed, only the Bar is opened for dinner. We had to wait 1 hour for our food at dinner in the bar on 14 Sept 2025. The breakfast buffet set up is so disorganised...need to go looking for marmalade and butter which are set up on a different counter. Whats the point ???? Hotel should consider Guest's satisfaction and conveniences. Cafe Staff has indifferent attitude,i am utterlfy surprised to see waiters walking around with hands in their pockets...not attending to guests !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Location of this hotel is near touristic sites. A plus point !! Lady Dildora at Front Desk is helpful and courteouse, her smile cheers us all up !!!! Avoid at all costs, terrible experience My stay at this hotel was an absolute disaster. The bathroom was so poorly designed that water from the shower flowed straight into the room, soaking all of my personal belongings, which is completely unacceptable. At the reception, I was greeted by a young and clearly inexperienced girl who had no idea what she was doing. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, I was met by a manager who was arrogant, unhelpful, and could barely speak English. On top of that, they tried to charge me extra even though I had already paid everything online in advance, which felt like a blatant scam. The breakfast was extremely disappointing, with very limited options, poor quality food, and served with an unfriendly attitude. Hospitality does not seem to exist in this place. Overall, this hotel should be avoided. There are far better places to stay nearby where you will be treated properly and receive the service you pay for. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

A lot of hotels have beautiful rooms. What makes this one exceptional is restaurant. It's definition of perfection. A luxurious mess!! I stayed at Lia by Minyoun during my recent travels through Uzbekistan. This hotel is a lower grade version of the next door SilkRoad Minyoun and it shows in very single way. The rooms are small, construction cheap, and hotel services bare bones (barely any one in hotel staff spoke any English). Though it's the hotel staff that was the biggest disappointment for me. From lacking warmth to lack of information/insights to almost no sense of hospitality this hotel feels like concrete dread. The only redeeming factor for me was the next door spa at SilkRoad Minyoun that guests have free access to. For the price point being charged, the location and the hotel is not worth it. I would NOT recommend!

Nestled in the heart of Samarkand, L'Argamak is a charming boutique B&B that beautifully blends modern comforts with traditional architectural elegance. This newly established hotel, born from an Uzbek-French collaboration, offers warm and inviting rooms that boast stunning city views. Guests can unwind in the lush garden or on the rooftop terrace while enjoying complimentary WiFi throughout their stay.
Such a charming hotel. Only a short walk from Amir Timur Mausoleum, which is also visible from the rooftop terrace, the location is very convenient. The service was also excellent. My favourite thing was the courtyard. It’s the perfect spot to relax before a day of exploring the city.

This was one of the top hotels we stayed at during our trip. The breakfast was fresh and excellent, the rooms were comfortable, the terrace was gorgeous, and the hotel overall had a luxurious feel. However, the front desk staff, in particular, had a snobbish attitude. Despite the hotel's impressive amenities, the staff was the most unhelpful we encountered on our trip. They initially told us a room was available for an extra night, but on the morning of, informed us they had overbooked with no real effort to assist in rebooking. They also arranged a taxi to the wrong restaurant. Additionally, we asked the front desk to make a restaurant reservation for us, but when we arrived the next day, the restaurant had no record of it. I emailed the hotel for clarification but received no response. Their lack of communication and dismissive attitude was off-putting. It was incredibly frustrating to get any kind of help from them. Interestingly, we stayed at a few less upscale hotels during the trip, and their staff was outstanding—booking taxis instantly, helping us exchange money, you name it, it was done with ease and a smile. It showed that things can be simple when the staff is willing to make an effort.

I don't quite a bit of traveling and this has to be one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I booked a room with 2 twin beds and it was awful. The bed itself was decent but that was the best part of the whole stay. Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures the hotel has a beautiful courtyard and it's very inviting but the rooms are anything but. The rooms are very small and just terrible outdated decor. The bathroom in the room was the absolute worst disgustingly old and outdated, terrible water pressure and very bad shower head that was with visible mold. They don't clean as I saw the same stains in the toilet... sorry to the reader. The towels are actually sandpaper and will shave your skin clean off beware. Do not stay here they don't deserve the business when they put such little care into thr facilities. Nice staff but that's not a good reason for booking a hotel. Breakfast was 5/10.

Disaster waiting to happen! We recommended this place to others and even came back. What a disaster! Lucky not to have ended up in hospital. The location is good, that rooms are small with no view is one thing but the small bathrooms with the oversized bath tubs (apparently all of them have one) with water leaks combine to make this a disaster waiting to happen. For the less athletic or older folks who may be tempted to stay here you should take note. My bathroom was full of water had to twice dry it with multiple towels; I slipped but was lucky, very lucky! Other rooms also had signs of leak. The so called “general manageress” of this tiny hotel is a disgrace compared to other staff who are pretty decent. Her response to my one complain about the incident was basically take it or leave immediately - never mind the serious health and safety incident. She really lacks any experience of a basic hotel and makes matters worse by her attitude. Puts the Samarkand: Uzbek hospitality to shame. Had this been the US or similar, she would be taken to task.

Location is top notch as it's walkable to most of the attractions you must visit. Also, it's not far from all the shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and well reserved. It actually looks nicer than the photo in my opinion. The bed is ok and aircon is cold enough. There's also hot water even in spring. The staffs are superb polite, friendly and helpful. For breakfast, it's local style with many options to choose from. Tastes good.

Really well priced very modern hotel, air-conditioning is best I've experienced as most places couldn't cope with the 40c+ days we experienced. Showers were nice and hot with good pressure. Rooms were spacious and clean. The people at reception were very friendly and spoke very good English. This is the only bad hotel experience we had during the 8 days long visit to Uzbekistan. The people are too greedy, they tried to trick us into paying extra money during check in by saying that it is for registration fees. Later they tried to misguide us from going to bank for currency exchange and tried to get dollar exchanged at their hotel, we had specifically asked for check out time, we did check out well before the time but again tried to make us pay extra amount by saying that it's late check out. I understand that Samarkand is touristy but this much greed will scare people away only

Please at all costs, avoid this hotel!! The high ratings on booking are fake. They charge a registration fee that was not communited beforehand, and was on top of the total amount announced via booking. The staff does not speak English, is rude and uninterested and gives conflicting information. Laundry wasn't possible, but then it was for USD 25 and the swimming pool was closed we were told, while other guests were swimming.

The hotel is small, but well maintained. Pros: -Excellent service: big shout out to Shokrukh and Shahkhboz! The yandex we had booked to the train station, did arrive but the driver angrily drove away, when he realised our luggage could not fit in (despite requesting for a big car). We were worried, we would be late to catch our train to Tashkent. However, Shokrukh stepped in to help us, by arranging for his colleague Shahkhboz to drive us. During our stay if we had any queries, Shokrukh and Bakhor patiently answered them for us. -Decent breakfast Cons: -No live entertainment -Compact room if more than 2 guests are residing

Don’t trust the good reviews. My wife and I only stayed here for one night. When we went to have breakfast, I left my cash and valuables in the room because I believed nothing bad would happen in this hotel. But something unpleasant did happen. When we came back, the room was being cleaned. I’m not sure if I lost any cash, but my only toothpaste was definitely thrown away. When I checked in, there was only one toothbrush and one tube of toothpaste in my room.

The atmosphere in the hotel is actually very bad. First of all, the room is not clean. The balcony was not cleaned at all, not to mention the garbage left by the previous customer. There is no room service and food ordering, the hotel only serves those who come from the street. And they deceive the customers in the hotel that their food will be ready in 30-40 minutes. The worst thing is that there are a lot of drunk men in the hotel restaurant and if you are a woman alone, they will not hesitate to touch you. I stayed at this hotel last night and I assure you that I will not come back here. The beautiful reviews you see are fake lies written by the employees of this hotel. In reality, it is different🤮😭🤬

We stayed in for 3 nights and 4 days. Very helpful staff. Breakfast is included in the hotel stay and is very delicious. Location is a bit away from the center but easily reachable to the center in taxi as low as 1 dollar. Request for a room overlooking the city to get some natural light in the room during the day. Azim and his father are the owners and are one of the best owners of a property have ever seen, very helpful and kind. 🙏🙏🙏

Restaurant
Platan is a renowned hotel-restaurant in Samarkand, offering traditional Uzbek cuisine alongside European dishes. The establishment is known for its romantic ambiance and homey setting, with lush greenery adorning the arches at the entrance. Guests can indulge in Uzbekistan's national dish, plov, as well as European delicacies like tuna cooked in a Spanish Josper oven or grilled salmon steak. The restaurant also features a classy interior and a summer terrace, providing an excellent dining experience.
Review for the restaurant - the service here is an amazing, the food is delicious. Nice atmosphere - live music. So good we went twice and all dishes were good. Best dinners we had in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Just go!!
Sansira S — Google review
⸻ Horrible service. We called ahead and were told it was fully booked. When we arrived, the terrace was full, but the main hall had several free tables. We sat there, but the live music was unbearably loud. We asked several times to change tables, but the staff were unhelpful. As the terrace remained full and the noise indoors was excessive, we were about to leave when we noticed another dining room—quiet and with plenty of free tables—so we moved there, asking to be notified if a terrace table became available. Service remained poor throughout dinner. I am vegetarian and ordered a cheese plate, but was brought a chicken plate instead, with the explanation that they had run out of cheese. We sent it back, and minutes later they managed to serve the cheese plate after all—unacceptable. During the meal, we saw free terrace tables through the window, yet no one informed us or offered to move us, despite our earlier requests. After dinner, we asked to have our beers outside, but were told again that all tables were taken. I went out to speak directly with the terrace manager, who happily offered us a table—contradicting what the indoor staff had just said. In summary, the service consisted of young, inexperienced, and poorly trained staff, resulting in an uncomfortable and frustrating experience.

We went to the restaurant for dinner without a reservation. The outside area was full, we were offered a beautiful table inside. The interior is astonishing. Every detail is very beautiful. The waiter spoke good English and gave us a lovely recommendation. We had a t-bone steak and the best Lamb Ribs I’ve ever had. It was soft and juicy - and crispy on the right parts. I recommend coming here! Lovely romantic experiences

Was recommended in some travel guides so we decided to check it out. The welcome was very nice. They said they are booked out but we got accommodated with a time limit of one hour which we apreciated. After that all went a bit downhill. The service was actually really rude and bad. All questions were answered in an annoyed rude tone and all food got delivered cold… We understand that service industry is a challenging job and everybody can have a bad day but its the same amout of effort to be nice/neutral than absolutely rude. The prices were ok and the menu is huge. Also of course the taste was fine but far from wow factor. We let the manager know at the end and she recieved the feedback in a very open way and said they will work on it. I apreciate that. Would I recommend this place to go again ? No not really
JF F — Google review
Came here for dinner since we stayed across the street. The drinks were good, caprese salad appetizer was delicious, so I figured the filet mignon I ordered would follow suit. This is essentially what they dropped in front of me. From my steak knowledge, that cut is not filet mignon. That’s most likely eye of round. It also was cooked medium well, or even well done. So I poured all the sauce on it to help the dryness which it didn’t. I wanted to push through and eat it but because it was so dry and overcooked, I could not. I asked the waiter about the cooked level and he said that “all of their meats are cooked medium well” so in that case I said okay I’ll just eat it. Not sure if I’d go back knowing their meats are cooked medium well. My partners meal was good though so maybe just avoid the steaks if you come here.
Kody M — Google review
Good ambience and location. However disappointed. We ordered for baked beetroot salad. It was cold, few pieces of boiled beets, NOT baked and mostly arugula leaves, feta cheese cubes. The pepper from the pepper shaker was over. I had checked and the server didn't like me asking for it. Lastly, my friend had asked for a fish dish. And I had asked for grilled vegetables which was written separately on the menu as a side dish. They brought the fish with grilled vegetables. The server said, the chef had mixed the 2 dishes. Saving grace was the delicious mashed potato. Most important point is, the reviews on the menu say that it is vegan and vegetarian friendly. However it is NOT so. There are NO vegetarian options in the main course.
Neeta K — Google review
My experience at Platan was a bit mixed. While the food was definitely good—I particularly enjoyed the warm salad Platan, which was delicious—and the general design of the restaurant is very comfortable, it didn't quite meet my expectations for an authentic experience. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a pleasant meal in a nice setting. However, for those specifically seeking a deeply authentic cultural or culinary experience, you might find it a bit more adapted to a general taste. A solid choice, but with a note on authenticity.
Serafima S — Google review
The location is very good in a quite neighborhood and was in a walkable distance from our hotel. The food was super tasty, the service was moderate as only one waiter could speak little English. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant is clean. Prices might be a little higher than what you expect in Samarkand but the quality of the food and the cleanliness deserves it (in our opinion).

Nestled just a short five-minute stroll from the heart of Samarkand, Jahongir Guest House is a delightful retreat that beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comforts. This enchanting guest house features bright and colorful rooms adorned with exquisite embroidered decorations, creating an inviting atmosphere for travelers. Guests can unwind in the serene garden filled with vibrant flowers or relax on the terrace after a day of exploring the city's rich history.
Jahongir Guest House is located in an alleyway very close to the Registan Square in the Old Town of Samarkand. This makes it the perfect spot to explore the area at any time of the day.
Also all other major sights can be reached easily by walking. Breakfast is served in a small room or in the courtyard in Uzbek style. It’s a buffet-style and choices are ample. The room was very clean with traditional decorations, which will make you feel cozy. The bathroom was quite small but sufficient to get ready every morning. Interaction with the host family was really nice and welcoming. Staying here is recommended.

A great location close to many of the cities main tourist attractions. The staff are all friendly and wonderful, many of them speak enough English so we can communicate easily. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean, the beds are also comfortable. Probably the best breakfasts we have had in Uzbekistan as well. I would certainly recommend this guest house (not to be confused with the hotel with a similar name just down the street) if you are staying in Samarkand.

We stayed a night in this beautiful BB while visiting Samarkand. The inside courtyard is with a very peaceful and wonderful garden. The room was also very nice. The BB is also few steps away from the Registan square. But what the BB excels is in the services! Not only did they arranged us transport around the city but also a tour with a guide. Not only, we had a problem with train tickets (we had booked the wrong one) they accompanied us to the station and helped us to get a new one. Top service. Top hotel manager! The kindest people we ever met in hotel business. If you plan to visit Samarkand this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

Really cool hotel! The ambience is spectacular! We stayed for one night and it was a part of our Uzbek experience! The building is very traditional and the rooms are beautiful! The AC works great, it’s clean and felt really welcoming! The courtyard is stunning. Also the rooms are very spacious. Location is amazing! Only minus are very hard beds but we were so tired from the sightseeing all day, we managed to sleep regardless of that.

I had the most enchanting stay at this lovely hotel! From the moment I stepped into the beautifully landscaped garden, I was captivated by its charm. The garden was an oasis of serenity, with vibrant flowers and cozy nooks to relax in, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The room decor was simply delightful. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The furnishings were elegant, and the tasteful artwork added a touch of sophistication. I felt like I was staying in a boutique paradise. However, what truly made my stay memorable was the excellent service provided by the staff. They were incredibly attentive and always ready to assist with a smile. From the front desk to the restaurant, their hospitality was unparalleled. In conclusion, if you're looking for a charming retreat with a beautiful garden, exquisite room decor, and exceptional service, this hotel is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return and experience its magic again!

Simple Hotel in a good location. The garden of the hotel is very nice and quiet, good to relax after a day of sight seeing. The owner of the Hotel is very friendly as well. The room is very basic. The cleanliness is OK, however not 100% clean in the details. There was mold in the bathroom sink and the top of the wardrobe hasn't been cleaned for ages (very dusty) Also the gentleman who is running the reception, could improve his customer service skills. I would expect that saying "Thank you" and "Please" is a common practice. Also some more reliability would have been nice. After arriving early, I was informed the check in time is at 2pm, which is absolutely fine. I reached the hotel again after sight seeing at 2pm, just to wait for almost 45 minutes for someone to arrive at the reception and hand over my room key. With that experience in mind, I luckily paid my room already one day prior check out, as I had to leave early at 8am. I had agreed with the receptionist to hand over the room key at 07:30am, just to again find noone available. After waiting for 10 minutes, I found the receptionist sleeping inside the reception, way after the agreed time. Very strange experience as a hotel guest. If they improve their service to be more professional and pay some more attention to details, they can be a very good hotel in the heart of Samarkand.

This hotel has promise, but it’s not there yet. The bathroom is big enough to turn around in. Spa never got to temperature. Staff were very kind and helpful. Conditioner for shower would be helpful. Great location, breakfast only, no room service or restaurant. A bit noisy inside and out, could hear everything in the hallways.

Great location, most of everything is in walking distance. Our favourite cafe Boulevard is just a few steps away. The cleaners are doing good job keeping everything clean, from stair case to lift, hallway, and of course rooms. Towels are of good quality. Staffs are polite. Breakfasts are ok, nothing fancy. We had a little issue with the bathroom. The drain was clogged up causing water to flow out to the floor. A staff came trying to do something but he clearly not a qualified plumber. He tried what he could that night, we expected a plumber would come next day and the day after but no one turn up. A little disappointing.
Doha C — Google review
We stayed here from 14 to 16 August 2025. The rooms were very clean and included fluffy towels and robes and slippers. My only complaints were: only one chair so you must sit in bed if you were hanging out in the room (where I am typing this now) and twin beds (if that bothers you), and the fridge was not cold (even after telling the front desk). The bathroom was great and they supplied shampoo/conditioner/lotion/toothbrush etc. There was ample storage space in closets and end tables and drawers. The entire place was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was not my favorite. While the staff was conscientious and helpful, making me cup after cup of Americano, the coffee was not very good (weak). There were few if any local foods and no omelette station, which most hotels offer. The breads were uninspired, considering how amazing Uzbek bread is! The fruit and veg were delicious though, and there was plenty to choose from. Easy to walk to great restaurants, the Registan and other sights. Parks and other shady areas right out the door.

It is a good hotel to stay in Samarkand but it has its flaws. It is not a chain hotel so some of the things might not be up to the mark or to your expectations. Whatever they lack, they surely make up for it with effort. The rooms are nice and spacious. Everything is very clean and neatly kept. Since it is on the boulevard, you can take a walk in the middle of the night or in the middle of the day, it is very convenient. Registan is 15-20 mins walk from the hotel. Gur-i- emir is 10 mins.

The hotel provides excellent amenities including a 24-hour front desk, full-day security, and free WiFi throughout the property. Each air-conditioned unit features a balcony with an outdoor dining area and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Guests have praised the warm welcome from Vlad and his team, who go above and beyond to assist with excursion planning, restaurant recommendations, and insider tips about Samarkand.
We stayed at the Rabat Boutique for three nights in April. The room was spacious, very clean, and tidy. At the property, it's possible to enjoy the comfortable and quiet outdoor internal space. The property is located just a few minutes' walk from the Registan and has a convenient location. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and professional; they provided us with many useful tips and even helped us organize our transportation to the station when we departed. Furthermore, they were very accommodating in adjusting breakfast times according to the commitments we had scheduled for the different days. Breakfast is served in a beautiful historic room and is plentiful and of high quality. An extremely positive experience, for which we thank the owners, and the property is highly recommended. We hope to return soon!

A true gem of impeccable hospitality, care and history. The place itself is beautiful and full of character, but what truly makes it unique is the warmth and thoughtfulness of the hospitality. Vlad was incredibly helpful: he shared the fascinating history of the house, assisted with arranging a trip to Tajikistan, patiently answered all the questions. The hotel offered much more than described. In addition to the delicious breakfast, there was complimentary afternoon tea with nuts and fruits, as well as cold bottled water always available. Every detail was carefully considered to make the visit to Samarkand as enjoyable as possible. I am deeply grateful for this experience and sincerely wish prosperity for this beautiful place.

A charming hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Samarkand.

We had the best time ever in this lovely hotel! It was the last stop of our Uzbekistan vacation and let me tell you, they really made it hard for us to leave. It is located neatly in the middle of the city, perfect walking distance to Registan and tasty food options. Getting a cab or being dropped off in the smaller streets was no problem at all. The rooms are spacious, AC and warm water worked every time and the bed were very comfy (finally pillow that were pushy and not to big!). If I could rate the service more than 5 stars, id give them 10. Every wish are fulfilled, the 3 guys who run the place are all the sweetest gentlemen ever. Special shout out to Vlad for showing us around the place and telling us about the history of the house. And all the amazing tea of corse! But none the less thanks to all the staff! I read somewhere that this is not a "Boutique hotel and nothing special" - i might not know the exact terminology of what is considered boutique. But! Nothing special? That could not be farther from the truth. Hospitality has no limits here and if you want to enjoy a very much special time in Samarkand, stop looking and start booking!
Kirdneh H — Google review
Wonderful house of a Jewish merchant family (their prayer room is now the breakfast room!) turned into a hotel by a couple of respectful guys. Vlad will give you a full lecture on how they respect the history of the house, goes through all the symbolism, all while teaching you about proper local tea ceremony & serving you a cool slice kharbuza melon! The room is wonderful, bathroom & shower sparkling clean, A/C in full order, and everything is cheerful. Varied breakfast with exciting new items, fortified with fresh fruits & nuts, is provided (although I would have appreciated other types of cheese & maybe some qaymaq & honey?) & fortifies for the day. Only two remarks. The location is in the more “local” area to the east of Registon. So less chic than Soviet era west side. This is by itself charming & cute. But it you call a taxi to the hotel’s door, it will take you 15 mins to get out of the neighbourhood! A short 5-7 mins walk to Registon provides you with a quicker access to a taxi! The hotel needs a woman’s touch. Vlad is all smiles & wisdom. Firdavs is kind like your brother. But any hospitality business needs a woman’s touch to take care of the details, cover the unsightly, & keep things in order. Rabat needs a woman!

A cosy budget boutique hotel close to Gur e Amir Mausoleum. Simple but very large rooms with a beautiful and tasteful theme. Charming staff and a great breakfast. The rooms were less spacious than what we experienced in other cities of Bukhara. They only have two rooms on the ground floor. All other rooms are on the first floor and one needs to climb stairs as there is no elevator. They have a lovely terrace on the 3rd floor. The breakfast served in the restaurant was average. There are no lunch options at this hotel. They have their own cafe next door which does not have any food and only serves canned drinks as we were told by the unwelcoming staff at the cafe. There is only one restaurant near this hotel which is a fine dining one and not for a quick bite. It's a decent place to stay but not a convenient one.

Excellent staff. Wonderful breakfast and incredible service but 4 stars because the room heating system needs some tweek and the women staff wake up at 5:40 am and start chatting next door !

Nestled in the historic city of Samarkand, Wellness Park Hotel Bactria is a charming 4-star retreat that beautifully blends modern comfort with rich cultural heritage. This hotel boasts air-conditioned rooms equipped with free WiFi and private bathrooms, ensuring a relaxing stay for all guests. With its inviting bar and restaurant, visitors can indulge in delightful culinary experiences while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding area.
Wonderful Stay at Wellness Park Hotel Bactria – A True Alternative to Antalya! We stayed at the Wellness Park Hotel Bactria in Samarkand as a group of six (4 adults and 2 children), and our experience was absolutely delightful. The hotel is beautifully designed, featuring spacious rooms and elegant furniture. Everything is tastefully furnished and offers a luxurious yet comfortable atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, always willing to fulfill our requests. For example, they helped organize a birthday cake, which made the day truly special. The entire Silk Road Samarkand complex is diverse and suitable for everyone. There’s a wellness and spa area, as well as outdoor and indoor pools, which made our stay even more enjoyable. All in all, we were extremely satisfied, and we are already planning our next visit. Compared to our original holiday plans in Antalya/Belek at 5-star resorts, Silk Road Samarkand easily keeps up – and in terms of value for money, it’s unbeatable. The only downside compared to Turkey is that Uzbekistan has no sea, but the fantastic facilities and the rich cultural experience more than make up for it. We truly believe the Silk Road Samarkand has great potential to attract more tourists in the near future – it’s certainly a hidden gem with a bright future.

Amazing building, great staff, great location. However, some basics are not right. No toiletry kits (toothbrush, etc), no hotel slippers. The worst part is the AC does not work in the room. I was here for 2 nights and despite several complaints to the reception they did nothing about fixing my AC.

I booked this hotel instead of Hilton after comparing the all-inclusive prices. However, the tourist tax was only mentioned in small print on their website and was not shown anywhere on the booking page. This was a disappointing experience.

Great stay at a modern and very clean hotel. My room was large, and included a very comfortable bed, a big shower with good water pressure, and a Japanese style electric toilet, which was a nice surprise! Gym was small but with very well maintained equipment, and the spa had multiple options for massages and treatments. Lastly, I cannot speak higher of the staff who were always very friendly, kind, and helpful. This included the front desk staff going out of their way to help me get a seat on a fast train to Tashkent when I was going to take a taxi, saving me money and a lot of time. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

It is a well equipped hotel. We love it. In the same place there is an entertainment area called “Silk Road Destinations”. In the night it is super joyfull. Also, the hotel a little far from city center but you can reach the city center with yandex go.

I stayed one night at Wellness Park Hotel Bactira, and it was one of the nicest hotels within a budget of ₹3000. The room was amazing, and the service was exceptional. In addition, they provided me with a complimentary late check-out by 2 pm. One of the sweetest members of the front desk, Ms. Mushtaziy, was always ready to greet every customer with a great smile and perfect English. The hotel also offers a 24-hour gym for customers, and both indoor and outdoor restaurants. A perfect 10/10 rating!

Great experience, would absolutely recommend. The hotel offers not only breathtaking views but also an exceptional level of comfort with its plush and cozy beds. What truly sets this establishment apart is its unwavering commitment to providing personalized care to each guest. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout the stay, it's evident that the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The culinary offerings are a delightful highlight as well. The breakfasts are a true feast for the senses, offering a wide variety of delectable options to suit every palate. The fusion of flavors and the quality of ingredients truly elevate the dining experience. Moreover, the incorporation of cutting-edge technology throughout the hotel adds a modern touch that enhances the overall stay. From seamless check-in processes to intuitive room controls, the thoughtful integration of technology makes for a convenient and efficient stay.

SAMARIA HOTEL AND SPA in Samarkand offers a range of amenities including a heated pool, spa and wellness center, massage services, body treatments, and a hammam. The hotel also features a shared lounge, terrace, restaurant, and bar. Guests can enjoy 24-hour front desk service, airport transfers, room service, and free WiFi throughout the property.
We had a wonderful stay at Samaria hotel. The staff was helpful, answering all of our questions in a very friendly way, they all spoke good English. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom had a big bathtub and was also clean. During breakfast we had different choices and everything was delicious, especially "les crêpes", and the terasse had a nice view. We enjoyed 1 hour of spa, the hammam was just what we needed after a day of walking. The placement of the hotel is perfect, the main attractions are in walking distance, you can find shops and restaurants near by too.

The young lady at the front counter was great. Good at her job! A highlight of our service experience. The average Uzbek bed, I have found, is quite firm. This was my experience at Samaria. I prefer softer beds but with firm being the average through my Uzbek experiences, I can't fault Samaria for that. An annoying issue was the shower easily got water on the floor even with the curtain properly closed. There was also a back to the tub that was semi removed and should have been fixed prior to our arrival (details). This was the first tub I have seen where there is a 5 inch gap behind the tub. Shower water easily gets out because there is not a back curtain. A poor design with annoying clean up after showering. Also presents a safety hazard for slipping. Breakfast on the roof top was good. Wide selection of foods. Plenty of comfortable seating with city views. Some of the breakfast staff seemed annoyed that they had to maintain the food selections. Annoyed when customers were informing them that items needed attention or table settings needed replaced. If you can't work with the public, don't work with the public. It's not that hard. Smell of sewer gas in bathrooms was unattractive. I would come back if I didn't have many options. I would find a different hotel for my next visit if the option was there. The attention to detail that I would expect at a hotel in the West is not remotely being met at this location for the basic things. If someone can easily overlook these imperfections, then maybe this location would serve you well.

I recently visited the hotel and spa in Samarkand and had the chance to try their hookah (huka). The place had a very nice atmosphere – relaxing, clean, and comfortable. The staff were polite and welcoming, and the service was quick. The hookah itself was excellent – smooth, flavorful, and well-prepared. It was a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a calm evening. Even though I didn’t stay at the hotel, from what I saw, the environment looked very well maintained and enjoyable. Definitely a good place to visit if you are in Samarkand and looking for a nice hookah experience.

Nice hotel with comfortable beds. The staff is friendly, helpful and speaks well English. The buffet breakfast on the rooftop is very rich and diverse. The WiFi in our room was not always working fast, but we had no problem at reception or on the rooftop. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby.

Samariya Hotel & Spa, also known as Samariya Terrace, is one of the best value-for-money hotels in Samarkand—especially notable for its pool and breakfast offerings. At this price range, it’s hard to find a hotel that matches its comfort and amenities. The highlight of the hotel is the pool, which is available free for 1 hour per day, but prior booking is required to secure your slot. The breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, offering not just great views but also a delicious spread that includes Indian dishes and other international cuisines—a real treat to start your day. Booking directly through their official website may get you better deals compared to platforms like Agoda or Booking.com. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to store our luggage after checkout, which was a great help since our flight was in the evening. If you're visiting Samarkand, I would highly recommend this hotel for couples and families looking for a comfortable stay with excellent amenities at a reasonable price.

Quite helpful, knowledgeable and respectful.( Mrs Aziza , Mr Shuhrat Let me tell you something real! This is the level Customer Service that meets pretty much all expectations you may have as a guest stating at this wonderful hotel! A true example of the service that's coming from their heart! . They were working at the Frint Desk. They all are kind and welcoming If you are comparing between and other 5 stars in Samarqand don’t doubt choosing Samaria Hotel and Spa . Great looking interior with easily the best inclusive breakfast i've had at a hotel. The place felt very new and modern, and staff were all very polite and friendly. Four stars because the wifi was worse than at a rural cafe in a village.

My stay was good! The hotel was a walking distance to all the sights and there was a lot of things around it ie restaurants, markets etc. The only thing about my room is that top rain shower didn’t work so I had to use the spray hose the whole time, but I was fine with it. Still enjoyed my time there.
Peng G — Google review
Looks can be deceiving... The Hotel looks amazing from outside...plush lobby, lifts etc, but from the inside, it's pathetic...despite having ready rooms they demanded an extra charge for early check in even 2 hours before... The bed was broken and when we complained they said why didn't we say immediately.. yeah rite...we are sorry to have gotten tired!!! No hot water in the shower in winter times, no water in the hand faucet and cheap toiletries!! Cold breakfast and refusal to even toast the breads was quite shocking.... Moreover, they misinformed and misguided the timings and closing days of certain tourist places which again was very saddening. We booked the large deluxe room, only to realise there is very limited natural light in it.

This is by far one of the cleanest most modern hotel I’ve been to in a long time with a classic look, they have some of the best food at their restaurant in the hotel and everything inside is extremely clean and detail oriented. The staff is super friendly and the service is extremely fast. I will highly recommend anybody who’s visiting the historic silk Road city of Samarkand to stop here and stay the night. Everything is close by and with walking distance, also, the nightlife is a lot of fun and close by.

The room layout and facilities are adequate but not maintained. Our bath leaked everytime we showered. Language barrier was apparent but not the hotels problem as we are the foreigners. We dined in the hotel restaurant on the first night and it was very disappointing. Despite the supposed rules, many diners were smoking. Our order was messed up resulting in only one main dish being provided. Despite the problems and disappointment it was also the most expensive meal we had in Uzbekistan. Not recommended.

It’s one thing to have great facilities (which is the case) and it is a whole different level to compliment this with a great service. The guys at the reception- big heads up for taking care of my breast milk. They all went above and beyond to help us with all our enquiries, restaurant reservations, taxi bookings and what not! Even the cleaning lady was soo soo welcoming and smiley.

This is a brand new hotel when we went. The rooms were brand new. Everything is just Spicket man clean and the service is great. There’s a really nice gym, but just letting you know when we went when it opened earlier this year the spa was not open. The gym is, but the spice is closed. There is also not room service menu they order from a restaurant and then it arrives. While we were there, there was also construction happening, so just be aware and check with the hotel before booking just to make sure that you can avoid that.

I stayed my 1st night at Kohinur Plaza hotel. I walked from Samaria hotel and it took me about 20minutes walk along the small narrow street in the neighbourhood with few light. The hotel is big enough to be a 4* and when you go in you would definitely say it’s 4*, and when you enter the hall and then the room you would be convinced that it is 4*. Apart from modern style it has modern technique conveniences. Small things matter and they have them. I loved the place, though I don’t know yet where in Samarkand I am now. They have a bar with variety of alcohol drinks at reasonable prices. There is no minibar in the room, but there is a small minibar fridge. They offer tea-coffee in the room.

Probably the best host in Samarkand. Full service, catering (food - quality/freshness/variety), cleanliness, but most importantly, the staff - everything top of the class. I do travel quite extensively around the globe and very seldomly write reviews as there is always something to improve or complain about. But this time around - simple gratitude for the masterclass in hospitality management. We had an absolutely terrible experience with this hotel. We booked a room through Airbnb and had already paid in full, but when we arrived, they refused to let us in. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the hotel staff told us that they don't work with Airbnb and effectively kicked us out. The staff were extremely unfriendly and showed no interest in finding a solution for us. Instead, they demanded we pay in cash if we wanted to stay, clearly attempting to avoid paying taxes. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also illegal. To make matters worse, they showed no empathy or concern for our situation, leaving us stranded with nowhere to go. We had to scramble to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, which caused us a great deal of stress and inconvenience. This hotel is not recommended for anyone, especially those traveling from Europe. As Swedes, we are very disappointed with how we were treated. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs!

Arka Boutique Hotel is a charming property in Samarkand, offering family rooms and a terrace for guests to enjoy. The hotel provides various amenities such as a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service, and complimentary WiFi. The guest rooms are well-equipped with modern facilities including air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms with free toiletries. The hotel's old aesthetic exudes a unique charm reminiscent of ancient Roman buildings, creating an enchanting ambiance especially when illuminated at night.
Staying at Arka was a 10/10 experience. I was travelling through Uzbekistan for the first time with a friend and in Samarkand we could have not found a better oasis to relax and reflect upon our trip. Where to begin… the first thing that struk us was its atmosphere, peaceful and calm yet right in the center of the city - close to the old town and also just a few doors away from the best shashlik we tried! The architecture comprises a beautiful and fresh indoor patio with views to the sky and is then surrounded by a series of stairs leading to all the rooms, carefully detailed with the renowned arches that give name to the hotel, Arka = Arches. Each room is then also tastefully decorated and equipped with high quality furniture as well as with AC. The personnel, including the owner himself, was not only available 24/7 but also super attentive, joyful and helpful with all of our curious questions - we thank you for this experience!!! Finally, cherry on top: the breakfast was DELICIOUS. An assortment of traditional food was prepared every morning with fresh local ingredients and delivered in a comfortable dining room, perfect way to start the day. I definitely recommend Arka to anyone who wishes to visit Samarkand and can only hope to return there soon myself!! 🫶

I had a wonderful stay at Arka Hotel in Samarkand. The hotel’s architecture is truly special. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax. Our room was beautifully designed, offering both comfort and style. For hotels that frequently host Iranian guests, it’s highly recommended to install a water hose (bidet spray) next to the toilet. In Iran, using a water hose for hygiene is a common practice, and many Iranians find it difficult to rely solely on tissue for cleaning. Providing this small but essential amenity can significantly enhance their comfort and satisfaction, making their stay more pleasant and accommodating to their cultural preferences. The breakfast was another highlight—I enjoyed quality of the food. It was a great way to start the day before exploring the city. The staff at Arka Hotel were kind, making sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. Overall, I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Samarkand. It’s a lovely place with great hospitality, a beautiful ambiance, and excellent service.

It was my first trip to Samarkand. At first it was a bit hard to find but you should know the hotel is right behind Grand Nazar. The hotel has a very old aesthetic look like as if you entered one of those old Roman buildings. It looks really pleasing to the eye and at night with the lights it looks even more beautiful. The rooms too have a very classy look. The staff are really nice, especially the owner himself. He is very helpful and an absolute gentleman. My husband is a hotelier himself and it is very hard for him to like a hotel whenever we travel. He liked this hotel so you know it is highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Arka Hotel in Samarkand! Anvar, who runs the place, was incredibly helpful and kind — he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and was especially sweet and engaging with our 1-year-old daughter, which meant a lot to us. We'd also like to give a big thank you to the lovely staff — Shohruh, Aziza, and Firus — for their kindness and hospitality. It was a truly welcoming experience and we’re very grateful!

I enjoyed the breakfast and the evening buffet. The food variety was rich and I liked it pretty much. Nice rooms and the staff was kind, so was the receptionist.

When I arrived there wasn’t any people except an Indian person they put us in the farthest room and alongside that when we came and settled in the ac wasn’t working and when we asked to switch rooms they told us they are full but when we walked not one person was there when they took us to go see the rooms they called workers to make noise to make it seem like there was people and it was only 2 people we called them and they said they’d come up to fix the ac they brought a random dude with nail clippers you can find the hallway and see how empty it was even though they said it was “full” we walked outside and saw ONE window with the lights on don’t come here if your having a trip to Samarkand and the other reviewers are fake I have attached photos and videos on how the hallways were never come here if your planning a trip to Samarkand the prices are cheap but don’t let it deceive you

Horrible hotel in every way. Non-existent cleaning, staff too young and inexperienced, breakfast practically nothing. As soon as I arrived I see myself changing the room because the bathroom floods while I take a shower with a very ugly room where the windows cannot be opened and with a view of the wall. Today, I return from a busy day and find the room not clean. Unacceptable for a 4 star hotel.

Hotel Marakanda is a new accommodation option that offers various amenities such as a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, and free WiFi. The air-conditioned rooms are equipped with modern facilities including a flat-screen TV, safety deposit box, and an iPod docking station. However, some guests have noted that the lack of windows facing the street can make the rooms feel stuffy. Despite this, the hotel's cleanliness and attentive staff have been highlighted as positive aspects by visitors.
The people there worked very hard to accommodate us and help arrange day trips that were fairly last minute. The breakfast buffet was one of the better ones in my three weeks in Uzbekistan. It is a bit further from centre, but still walkable and has the Alisher Navoi pedestrian street right next to it, so that helped a lot with many dining options even late into the eve. Rooms were spacious, the air-con worked well and the bathroom was really nice.

This hotel is a JOKE! Starting from check-in till check-out, we had a bad experience. We booked for 3 nights via Agoda using pre-paid option, but the hotel did not receive the payment. We tried to get this resolved with Agoda asap even though it was not our problem to sort it because we had paid for our reservation, and it was hotel's lookout if they did not receive their payment. Next day hotel people gave us an ultimatum to leave the hotel by 4pm if this did not get resolved and got aggressive with us specially Jahangir who was an admin person. Jahangir made us regret our decision of choosing this hotel from the very beginning. There were so many problems with our room, to name a few - shower head was not working fine in our room so we could not shower properly on the day of our arrival and next day as well. Water was going in all the directions but towards you, which made a mess in the bathroom despite having the shower curtain. After multiple complaints, they replaced the shower head on last day of our stay. Rooms were not clean at all, hair strands on the bed linens, dust on the radiator, no windows in the room. If you want windows, you have to pay extra for deluxe rooms, but you cannot open those windows as well; it’s just a glass wall. Mattresses were very hard, and mattress lining was so thin that you can feel the spring of the mattress all the time hence we did not get a good night's sleep throughout our stay. Water glasses in our room were very dirty and were not in usable conditions. After checkout, hotel staff will not even look at you, let alone helping you with the luggage which I have never faced in any other hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast was somewhat ok but has very limited options and once ran out of any item, they do not refill it for late comers. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would suggest you guys not to make the same mistake that we made and do not waste a penny on this hotel. It is NOT worth it!

1st - A/C was completely shocked, we told the receptionist fix it or at least Clean the Filter, there was weak air waves. 2- No shower hose for the toilet seat. 3- trash bin in toilet wasn't cleaned and wasn't emptied. 4- we told the receptionist to change the mattress, they offered us to change room but I saw the room was very small compared the first. 5- (the most disgusting thing) I told the receptionist to was my clothes. I gave him in two bags, later in same day at the evening I received the shirts and there were partially wet and not ironed, my clothes were completely curly, I regret that I paid 140,000 uzbek som. 6- poor quality of tissues. 7- underrated English skills. 8- I am not sure about this one, seems I got food poisonous from their breakfast and was so limited. 9- The most Rate I would give minus 10-- when I came for check-in and check-out seems was alright, when I went to Tashkent after driving for +5 hours, I arrived at Tashkent hotel, we found out the markanda hotel didn't even make a check-in and check-out registration, thier number ended by 11 was not receiving any of my and hotels' calls. Till hardly answered from their 2nd number, I couldn't even register my next hotel. So I kept waiting in the street until markanda register for 1 day. 10- Lastly I dont recommend this horrible hotel

⭐☆☆☆☆ From the first day we arrived, it was a mess. 😤 Check-in was supposed to be at 3 PM, but we didn’t get our room until 5 PM ⏰ — and it was dirty beyond imagination 🤢. The pool water was filthy and only got cleaned the next day 💦🧽. The pool filter was not working, and kept saying it needs to be cleaned… but they didn’t care at all 😒. Asked for housekeeping multiple times 🧹 — it never got done on time. Total disappointment. If you’re looking for an adventure in poor service, this is the place for you 🙃. They really need to learn how to keep the place clean and equipment working 🛠️🧼.

It’s a 10 mins walk from the Rajastan Square and 5 mins walk from a mini Mart. There is a great kebab restaurant next door too

This is not a new hotel by any means. Biggest complaint I had was the smell of dusty burning air in the lobby coming from the heater. Nobody else seemed to notice, but I couldn't bear it. The only other thing was the water pressure being so low. Filling up the tub would take a couple hours.

It was a great experience living there. The rooms needed an upgrade. There was no iron in the room, no tea, sugar, or even a kettle. The bathrooms should be updated with muslim showers. Location is great 👍

One of the worst hotels that I've ever stayed at. The customer service is nothing short of terrible. We had ordered tea at the bar. When the tea came the waiter wouldn't budge without getting paid although we were staying there. It felt very unpleasant. Rooms are spacious but very minimal even without a kettle. Bathrooms were ok but bad towels. The breakfast buffet was very inadequate specially for vegetarians. They didn't even have a toaster. We checked out at 8am buy as one of our group members was unwell we had to stay on for an hour. The front office switched off the Wi-Fi and we couldn't take tea from the breakfast buffet. The People at the reception were very rude. Only good thing is the location of the hotel.

A typical tourist hotel. I am disappointed as a business traveler. There is a desk but no desk lamp or overhead light, and no power socket for connecting computer. Internet connectivity very power. And, their credit card terminal does not work. Forced to buy forex at a rate dictated by the hotel. Very, very disappointed. Breakfast was good, though.

I love this hotel. My choice was outstanding. Why? I was welcomed with a man who had a big and beautiful smile. His name is Almos. The view from my room is nice, too because there is a park in front of this hotel. The restaurants can be walked within 2~3 minutes. I don't want to mention the condition of the bed and bathroom. I totally recommend this hotel. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless as well. They even moved our baggage into the room before check-in. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. I didn’t book this hotel myself — I was sent here because the hotel I originally booked was overbooked and had no room for me. We were worried about whether the bill had been paid by the original hotel, since the day before we had a similar experience and got caught during checkout. But the receptionist reassured us that we didn’t need to worry — the payment issue was between Zilol Baxt and the other hotel. Because I had unpleasant experiences in previous hotels, I was really happy to hear him say that. I was also sick during the night, and he kindly provided me with extra water. I’d love to stay here again if I return to this city.

Terrible experience. I arrived with a confirmed booking, but the hotel told me there was no room available. They moved me to another room that was dirty, smelled bad, and had empty bottles lying around. The receptionist was extremely rude and spoke in a very disrespectful way. I didn’t feel safe and left the place the same night. And now they’re trying to charge me $90. This is completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

I would come back to stay here in a heartbeat, it was really one of the highlights of our time in Uzbekistan. The property is gorgeous at all hours of the day. The breakfast spread was great and we looked forward to it every day, especially with the stunning view of the mosque. But the manager Mansur went above and beyond for us. We accidentally left something valuable in our room, and months later as we were trying to figure out where on our trip we lost it, I called the hotel and Mansur sent me pictures of the item! I continued talking to him for another 2 months, and he was extremely patient while I figured out how to get them shipped back. I cannot thank him enough for his kindness, honesty, and patience. I will forever be a fan of the hotel and hope to be back someday!

A magnificent hotel, with extremely responsive and responsive staff. I would say that this is the face of Samaragand hospitality. Great, clean rooms, decent not overloaded breakfast. And I beg you, there is no need to pretend to be an ultra premium luxury tourist. Friendly people work here and the easier you approach your arrival, the more comfortable your arrival becomes. In general, the mentality of local residents is simply to wish a good morning to a stranger or to help banally. The concept of man has not yet been forgotten here. If nothing changes in the future, then this hotel alone will give a light to the majority of popular, among citizens of the Russian Federation, holiday destinations. I can say a sincere thank you to this hotel!

The Hotel Billuri Sitora is a great and recently renovated hotel in the heart of Samarkand. It's walking distance to most of the main sights, and the room is spacious, modern and clean. The pool is also a nice bonus.
We stayed 4 nights at this fabulous family run hotel and wish we could have stayed more. We loved our stay. The owner and his family were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to help us in anyway they could. The owner speaks perfect English and gave us great advice on how to spend our time in not only Samarkand but also Tashkent. The air conditioning rooms were excellent, spacious with the most comfortable bed to sleep in! Breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to your day. The location was good with places to eat close by and only a short taxi ride to the main tourist attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel if visiting Samarkand and recommend you contact the owner regarding bookings rather than an agency, his quote is much more reasonable!

Perfect location! Samarkand is a safe and very walkable city, and the Billuri Sitora is perfectly situated in the heart of it all. It’s got old time flare with modern amenities and has the feel of a real family operation. The best part is, when you’re here you feel like part of the family. Great value, great courtyard and a quietly setback location. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else. If I have one negative, it’s the breakfast. It’s only served from 7:30-9:00 and isn’t worth getting up for.

My stay with my 3 international friends was wonderful! Homemade breakfasts, easy walkability to the nearby bazaar and historical sites, quiet and elevated accommodations all contributed to a great stay. Importantly, the hotel manager went above & beyond to keep us informed about local activities, helped with all our taxis, and any questions we had about Samarkand. Us 4 couldn’t be more satisfied and grateful!

Recently stayed here in Room 124. The room carpet was torn and the door to the room did not allow for privacy as it had frosted glass panels in it. Room was also right next to smoking chairs. Perhaps owners could install a blind or curtain over the room door to allow for privacy. Housekeeping did not provide water on the second day of my stay. Hotel is not close to any sites. Breakfast buffet was delicious and bountiful. Would not stay here again.

One of the hotels I liked a lot previously. Now they have created a "pay upfront" policy for some reason. When I asked if its ok to pay during check-out the receptionist said it can be done however I had to leave my passport with them. Now a day after my stay I have been locked out of my room and asked to pay again. The hassle of searching for a bank and converting the currencies seems not to bother hotel employees. Honestly would not recommend this hotel to those of you who have stayed at modern hotels because service will leave dissapointed.

Konstantin Hotel Samarkand is a well-appointed hotel located on the main street, offering easy access to major attractions in Samarkand. The hotel features a gym, spa area, and pools for relaxation. While there are no lifts, the staff is helpful with luggage. Guests appreciated the spacious rooms and excellent service. The hotel's facilities are well-maintained and beautiful, with outdoor seating near the pool.
Rooms were huge. We were 10 in our group and all could sit in one room and had our evening drinks. The location os great not very far from the train station. The service was excellent. My wife for got her cell phone at a restaurant we went for lunch. The hotel helped us calling the restaurant and arranging a taxi to go and get it.

It's seen better times. For what they charge the rooms are not worth the money. The mattresses are old with a kurpacha on top to make them softer, at 6am the sun shines thru yellow curtains and the furniture and the carpets are should be retired. It's been refurbished so it's clean and there is a nice pool area. The staff are efficient and will try to accommodate you. But again there so many choices of hotels in Samarqand for less that it makes Konstantin not worth 90usd per night for foreigners. It's cheaper for locals.

Nestled in the heart of the old town, B&B Bahodir Hotel offers a delightful retreat just a stone's throw from the iconic Registan Square. This charming guesthouse is characterized by its simplicity and affordability, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious travelers. The warm hospitality of the family running the establishment truly sets it apart; upon arrival, guests are greeted with refreshing tea and genuine smiles.
We stayed a few nights in two separate rooms, as we took a trip out of Samarkand. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Few biscuits, tea and coffee throughout the day. The breakfast is delicious. The first room we stayed in had a great tiled bathroom, air con and firm beds. For our best stay, the beds were a bit too cushiony, there was no air con and the bathroom had a cheap plastic ‘box’ as a shower. Still perfectly good, but I think there is a lot of variation in the rooms!

It was a mixed experience of both, like room was big and not cozy, washroom was there but know everyday room service, furniture was old, a Little bit problem with door lock and flash also. But the management was good also the service was enough. Breakfast at hotel also very good delicious and healthy. With a touch of local and continental meal mix-up. Al though the location was good and near to Registan Point, Neat and clean environment.

B&B Bahodir offers wonderful hospitality in the busy touristy areas of Samarkand. Located a mere 5,6 minutes by walk from the Registan, this property is close to the major actions in tourism. It is also quite close to the train station. I do think that the rooms and the facilities tend to be a little bit aged. The shower in our room was a trickle. But its location, the friendly staff and the wonderful breakfast that they serve with so much heart made my stay in Samarkand extra memorable. I highly recommend this property for the above reasons, and if the shower doesn’t work, just ask to change room.

Really convenient location with very friendly and helpful personel. A beautiful garden where you can chill out during the heat of the day with some tea. The rooms are nothing luxury, but that is in balance with the low price of this hotel. An absolute amazing place if you don't mind having a bit less luxury in your room!

I stayed in this B&B 10 years ago when I cycle toured from Beijing to Istanbul. It was winter and when I arrived at Samarkand it was 5pm, I rode pass Bahodir and I liked it on the first sight, I went in, there are 4 touring cyclists in the compound, I knew I was in the right place. Great people and hospitality. I loved every single minute I stayed in Bahodir. the host are friend and the rooms are clean. highly recommended.

Sabrina Hotel is a charming guest house in Samarkand, offering exceptional service and a comfortable stay. The property features a beautiful garden, free WiFi, and convenient amenities such as free private parking and paid airport shuttle service. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly owner, Mr. Sabir. Despite being located 30 minutes from the main attractions on foot, affordable taxi rides make it easily accessible.
Sabrina is more of a boutique hotel, which is a plus. It's run by a family who are friendly and helpful. The rooms are neat, aesthetic and have sufficient racks to arrange your stuff. They have a kitchen and dining area on the ground floor where a buffet breakfast is served. You can also have breakfast in the garden which has beautiful seating. We had to check out half an hour prior to the breakfast time on the last day of our stay. On requesting for an early breakfast, they were sweet enough to pack lunch boxes instead, sensing the hurry. The only downside is that there aren't many restaurants and tourist spots nearby. You'll need to take a cab mostly. However, the cabs are affordable. If one doesn't mind things not being at a walking distance, please go for it!
Punit M — Google review
Knowing that the « guest houses » in the center are built on destroyed family houses. I recommend staying outside of the center to avoid propping up the further destruction of (what is left) traditional housing. Sabrina hotel feels like an occidental like hotel with a touch of Uzbekistan. Beds are really nice, the courtyard is amazing and the breakfast very diverse and good. It is really easy to go to the center from the hotel. You can also easily go to restaurant by foot or other places that are mostly non touristic. Also note that it is a family owned hotel not a chain. They also immediately asked us if we wanted a lunchbox for breakfast as we were leaving very early, a very nice gesture. You can also try to find good deals looking at the last minute on booking :)

Clean with comfy beds and a great location next to the Registan (good views from the rooftop). However the showers were lukewarm, bordering on cold. We asked several times if they could turn up the water temperature, one staff member said it was at maximum and the other staff member said someone was coming to look at the hot water but the issue never got resolved.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Minor for the two of us. The location is unbeatable, with all major attractions within walking distance. The staff was extremely accommodating and hospitable, which made our experience even more enjoyable. It was reassuring to know that they spoke English, and there was even one person who spoke German. The rooms were clean, ensuring a comfortable stay for both of us. The rooftop terrace with a view of Registan Square was an other highlight. The breakfast offered a selection of both savory and sweet dishes, giving us the opportunity to discover local flavors. The Dilshoda Hotel offers charming, family-run accommodation in an authentic location minutes away from some of the city's most famous sights. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the essentials, and guests can enjoy a good breakfast each morning.
The warm hospitality of the charming female owner was very comfortable. The open structure with a courtyard and the clean, adequate room facilities were satisfactory. The breakfast was a gently seasoned dish made with ingredients, and I was able to enjoy Uzbek home cooking to my heart's content. I had initially booked another hotel, but it was suddenly closed due to construction work, so I stayed at Dilshoda, which was very lucky. If I come to Samarkand again, I will stay here.

A very good hotel and in a great position to visit the city (also in case you are with car, parking is easy on the main road close by). Rooms are clean and spacious, but some items are broken/run down (eg, AC broken in one room, leaking bathroom heater in another). Breakfast is nice but coffee is not included and have to be paid There is a laundry service but they shrank one pair of trousers Sometimes they out late bookers in a separate hotel, which is nice and clean but lacks the character of the original hotel - not great!

A nice, family-run hotel I would definitely recommend for a couple of reasons: 1) very personal and friendly service 2) nicely and very quietly located 3) a nice patio to sit and read (see picture) AND 4) good breakfast at the rooftop terrace with nice view at the nearby mausoleum The room was quiet and clean but did not have a window (why I only gave 4 stars)

Good, family-run hotel in great location. The one downside is the bathrooms are very poor, especially the showers. Expect near-0 water pressure and broken shower heads. The plumbing needs improving.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dilshoda. The inner mezzanine is cozy and ideal to have your breakfast outside. Rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, but beds tend to be on the hard side - a factor that may be important if it's your first night back from a multi-day trek through the mountains. 😀 Service is very friendly and helpful. Located in a quiet neighborhood, near all the city's highlights.

I think we may have been in the older wing. Rooms were nice, large. The evening that we arrived there was no hot water in the shower, but that only happened once. Nestled in the heart of Samarkand, Gostevoy Dom Furkat is a delightful family-run hotel that exudes charm and warmth. The vibrant atmosphere is evident in its beautifully decorated rooms and inviting common areas. Guests are greeted with a warm welcome, often enjoying tea upon arrival. The sumptuous breakfasts served each morning add to the experience, while the prime location—just a short three-minute stroll from Registan Square—makes it an ideal base for exploring the city.
I stayed at this hostel while in Samarkand recently. It’s definitely not a modern hotel, but it’s charming nonetheless. There’s a really wonderful rooftop at the top where I sat and typed in the morning on two of the days I was there. At 8 AM there is a free breakfast, which was fairly tasty. The location is excellent as it’s less than 5 minutes away from Registan Square and everything else. The people at the front desk were also extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend if you want to stay in unique lodging.
Susie L — Google review
The owner was very unfriendly. There was confusing regarding the tourist tax (as they displayed the incorrect price). We politely asked him for clarity and he felt very insulted and walked away. The bathroom has a leakage so will be a huge lake even after a short shower. Also the smell is very bad. The breakfast had a lot of variety but the bread was old and even moldy. Comparing to other guesthouses in Uzbekistan, the price quality really was not good, so we do not recommend this place.
Lucía B — Google review
We loved the location and the very friendly owner. He helped us with our late check out and was inviting us for tea everytime he saw us. We felt very welcomed. The rooms were a bit old but comfortable. One of our rooms had a bad smell coming out of the bathroom but we didnt change because it wasn't that bad. Overall it was a good stay, budget friendly and nice owner.
Ryan N — Google review
we were happy to see the yard was nice until we went to our room! it seems like the bed sheets never changed, also the whole floor carpets. it’s dusty everywhere! the room has a bathroom inside but somehow no water, and so does the shared bathroom outside! ac and lamp cable is far from the socket i don’t know what’s the point to have it. heater is broken too. we decided to stay until next morning without shower but after sat on the bed, we realized there is no way we can handle it to lie down in a bed that is smelly and sticky. we decided to move to another hotel in the middle of night but the owner didn’t let us leave and was not speaking english or russian so we didn’t understand what he means… after around half an hour we paid him offline again because booking can’t cancel our order, and he finally let us go. horrible experience 😷
Hue H — Google review
I was looking for a more authentic stay that's why I picked this place. The photo of the yard looked nice with a big tree in the middle. It's also very close to Registan and other attractions. However, the room was horrible! Dirty and smelly. I couldn't sleep. When I eventually managed to fall asleep, I woke up suffocating in the middle of the night - I couldn't breathe! The air was stuffy and damp. The towels were old, smelly and with holes. The bed linen had stains on it. Everything looked, smelled and felt dirty... The room was full of junk. Old TV and bar fridge were miles away from the socket. Were they there for a decoration? In the morning I could not wait to get out. I paid for one night and ran as fast as I could!
Elena V — Google review
Not worth the price… There were many mixed reviews before we went but as the location was only a 10 min walk from the Registan and the outdoor space looked airy and green, we decided to give it a try. The room itself was decent though very cramped. It would have been nicer with half the amount of furniture they crammed in there. It was also quite dusty and the sheets had some stains on them. It was shortly after that we realized the toilet wasn’t working. In fairness, they did get a plumber in to fix it after offering us another room that wasn’t as nice as the original one we had. The breakfast was more of a buffet style but make sure you get there early. If you’re one of the first ones, you get first dibs, otherwise you are essentially eating off the same plates others did before you. I’ve seen some rave reviews on here for the breakfast but very little is fresh. Most of it ordered in or in packaging. The only thing they don’t order in is some porridge, a boiled egg and one fried egg. The bread is typically dry as it’s left out. I ended up eating very little… The pro is that the staff are very friendly even if they don’t speak much English however for the price we paid, I would say it’s incredibly over priced overall.

A wonderful family run hotel, filled with charming and vibrant atmosphere, from the richly decorated rooms, to the common areas. The hosts are kind, professional, and welcoming. I was immediately served tea upon checking in. The included breakfasts are sumptuous, and the location is simply perfect, just a 3 minute walk from the Registan. The rooms are comfortable and well designed. In all, it's a terrific value, and I highly recommend a stay here, for the comfort and the experience.

The guesthouse is well situated close to the Registan and has a nice charming courtyard and topchans with free tea for guests. It also has a nice terrace with sunset views over the Registan, but it needs cleaning and taking care of. The rooms are an allergic persons nightmare, full of dusty carpets and I did not get the Registan view that I paid for (extra pay). The reception does not offer any info on Samarkand and barely speaks English, the breakfast is mainly full of cheap stuff, but plentiful. It is kitschy and quirky with its own special charm, but definitely leaves a lot of room for improvement.

The experience at this hotel was magnificent, the first day I came early before my check in time and they still served me breakfast and were so hospitable. It is family owned buisness, they are super friendly and helpful, sometimes they d offer tea, biscuts and fruits for Free, The breakfast was legendary, very balanced and very rich, fruits, eggs, tea, pudding, tradional milk and cake , sujuk and cheese and tradional bread, it was very satisfying and nutrutional. The place had good green space, 5 min from registan square, mosques and shops nearby. I liked the hotel room, simple with wooden decor, worth the price for private room. Overall great experience and defintly would recommend 10/10

I booked this place few days before arrival. Since I was arriving to Samarkand at 1 after midnight, I sent message to hotel to ask if I can have that late check in. It took 2 days for him to answer on my whats app message and than he told me that its ok, he will wait for me so I dont have to ring the door bell. When I came, nobody was there. I sent few messages to the owner, no answer. I called him 2 or 3 times, no answer. Finally I start to ring on door bell but nobody open. The hotel is in part of Samarkand with narrow streets without street light, a little bit scary in night. So I was left alone there, didnt know where to go. I tried to knock on the door of few other hotels near by, but nobody opened. I dont know how this hotel looks inside, I could only see outside door, old and rusty. This spoiled my first time in Samarkand and this is not the way any host should treat guests. He could tell me that late check in is problem and I would book other place. Also, he didnt apologize later, didnt explain why he didnt wait like promised, nothing... This was torture I hope I will never again experience. I would recommend to avoid this place.

Great location in the old part of the city, close to Registan and Bibi Khanum, and various restaurants. The owners are warm and pleasant, and the staff are kind to the guests, available all day and try to help. Delicious home-made breakfast in a beautiful setting with birds chirping and many trees. A large space in Uzbek stile upstairs to enjoy, where one can spend time with other guests or rest during the day. You can always get free tea. Quiet and pleasant during the day and night. The prices are very reasonable, this is for guests who like local accommodation and not luxury hotel. If I come to Samarkand again, I will come here again!

Guests appreciate the cozy atmosphere of the old house with a beautiful mulberry tree in the yard and rooms adorned with carpets and suzani. The owner's hospitality shines through as he speaks multiple languages and even cooked plov for all guests one night.
Hotel Legende is a really charming hotel, with traditional decoration, a lovely and quiet courtyard shaded by an ancient mulberry tree, and excellent breakfast. Its best feature though is probably the staff: Aziz the owner is so friendly and extremely helpful with impeccable French and English. He went above and beyond to help us in a tricky situation and also help organise our onward journey. Rahim and all the other staff are a daily delight too. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the hotel is perfectly located to explore all of Samarkand!

Firstly we were in newer rooms at the top floor and they were really nice. Very clean and cosy. Food was very good and staff is really friendly and helpful. When we came back in Samarkand for one more night at the end of our trip we were in downstairs room and they were a bit more run down and beds weren't as comfortable. It's near Registan and Bibi Hanum so location is very good.

I liked the stay though noise was a problem to rest well. I appreciate an old and historical accommodation more than getting newest/cleanest facilities. I love this place itself. Such a pleasure to hear the sound of leaves of the old tree in the middle of the courtyard over the flavour tea the host nicely offered. There was a construction going on when I was there but it was also interesting; they were making a new tandoor. The room was clean enough for the service, experience and the price for me. The breakfast was lovely too. The downside was that the door was squeaking and the noise from outside disrupted my sleep and rest. One night the quiet time after 10pm was not be respected. I assume the host was there so it was a little disappointing. Maybe it was because the location of the room I got. It seems that the host is trying the best to restore part by part so it would be nicer in the future. Overall, Experiencing a 19c Jewish merchant’s house with the Uzbek hospitality was great.

Ever since my mom & I stayed there, we recommended this place to literally anyone we met in Uzbekistan. Aziz (owner) is a legend - helped us with the tour and cared for our journey even after we left the city to proceed with the rest of our trip. My mom has mobility issues - and Aziz made sure we had a room with good access for her. In fact, we stayed there again on our way back before heading home. I would 100% return. True Central Asian hospitality. Rooms are comfy, WiFi is good, location is super convenient for walking to touristy sights. Food / breakfast is great. Courtyard is super cozy and we were able to safely park our car there, which was super handy. If they have an opening - go stay there if in Samarkand.

We stayed at Hotel Legende on our last night before flying out of Samarkand. We experienced a cold spell, -5 Deg C but found a warm room with heater on ready for our arrival. Aziz was very helpful, and informative about the local area. His brother was also the perfect host, "anything you need, just ask". The location is perfect, just 10 minutes walk to Bibi Khanym, Siyob Bazar, Shah-i-Zinda and local restaurants. Breakfast was excellent, simple but fulfilling on a cold morning. I would love to visit again later in the year to experience the courtyard, it looks like a great place to chill after a day exploring nearby Samarkand.

Really lovely spot in the old Jewish neighborhood located waking distance to all the major sites but far enough to be quiet. Lovely decorations, fantastic home cooked breakfast and Aziz (host) was so friendly and kind.
Katie T — Google review
Very comfortable room in the heart of Sarmakand, within walking distance of all the major sightseeing spots including Registan Square! Azziz is very helpful and the breakfast is particularly delicious (our favourite in all of Uzbekistan!) 10/10 would recommend
Lydia B — Google review
We had new rooms, which were nicely decorated, but a bit cold in March (ask for a heater). The courtyard is probably the place to be in warmer days, it's really beautiful. Service is perfect - just as for anything and they will find a solution. As the hotel is in one of the old neighbourhoods you either need to walk some 10-15 minutes through narrow streets and jump to the side whenever a car drives by, or take a cab. These neighbourhoods are quite bleak and seem to serve as a contrast to the colorful sights of registon

Hotel Latif in Samarkand offers simple yet comfortable rooms with a casual atmosphere. The hotel features a restaurant, outdoor pool, terrace, and garden for guests to enjoy. The welcoming service and friendliness of the owner create a cozy and warm atmosphere. While the beds are described as very firm, the excellent food and nice pool make up for it. Guests appreciate the accommodating hosts, exceptionally clean facilities, and well-maintained pool area.
Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Excellent breakfast every morning. The place was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The pool was a very large plus and the own an adorable puppy that runs around the yard and never barks! The bed took a night to get used to as it was VERY firm, but the hospitality made up it.

Location is great ,on road about 3 kms from Registan square. The place is beautiful and very well kept by owner Mr Shafqat and his family. Breakfast is very very basic. The price is but ob the higher side but still a good place for your staycation.
Mohit A — Google review
The welcoming service and enthusiastic friendliness of the owner, combined with the cozy and warm atmosphere, excellent food, and nice pool for cooling off, make Latif shine. The only negative is that the beds are hard as rocks, as only Asian mattresses can be. If the mattresses were a bit more forgiving (or if you like a super-firm mattress), this place is five stars!

Sultan Hotel Boutique, situated in Samarkand, offers a range of amenities including a restaurant, free WiFi access, and air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs. The hotel also boasts a rooftop terrace with breathtaking views. Guests can enjoy the convenience of being picked up from the train station and arranging airport transfers through the helpful reception staff. While some guests found the rooms to be on the smaller side and experienced occasional issues with wifi connectivity, others appreciated the pleasant accommodations and central location.
Beautiful hotel, nice terrace on the top and very nice rooms. The reception of the hotel sent a guy to pick us up from the train station, very kind of them, as well they organised on the day that we were leaving the hotel a transfer to the airport really early in the morning, that they even paid the taxi driver to take us there. They were very good and always ready to help, they even helped us arranging a rental car in Tashkent for the following day.

Good location, good beds. No plug for bath or sink, few places to put down or hang stuff in the bathroom. Ok breakfast. Safe not big enough for a laptop. In other words, good place to stay, but lots of nits to pick.

Great location! Attractive lobby. Rooms leave much to be desired… no elevator small rooms No space for toiletries in bathroom no tissues Few hangers no storage for clothes. Very modest choices for breakfast Far better choices in area for same price or less! We asa group of 11 were disappointed in this accommodation and have recommended different choice for future travelers wirh our group.
Sharon S — Google review
Very friendly staff. I was in room 206 with 3 twin beds.. Room was well lit, quiet, and a plug by the sink for my curling iron. The internet was a little slow but I was never disconnected. My only minor complaint was the breakfast. If you waited too long to go down eggs were cold. I would definitely stay here again in this room.
Teri F — Google review
The location and atmosphere of the hotel is great, so is the helpful staff. However, I found the room to be uncomfortably small, the bed too rigid and the walls are way too thin. It's good for a night or two, definitely not for longer stay. There are also frequent issues with the wifi dropping connections or not connecting at all.
Ádám K — Google review
For the price they charge, we expected a far better service and comfort. Unfortunately, hotel is old, rooms too hot and matrasses are very hard. Personnel was attentive, however some did not even smile once during our three day stay there. Note that Internationcal Credit cards are not accepted for payment, even though while booking they informed us we can pay with card. Below average breakfast. Great location, in a walking distance to major sightseeing sights.

What I am really curious about is who wrote all these reviews which made me book a room in this hotel. People, you call this hotel fantastic?!! Maybe, compared to other hotels in Samarkand, it is a fine hotel, but generally speaking, it's nowhere near a 4 star hotel is claims to be. It might be because of the bad AC that they have this food-leftover smell in rooms upstairs which was killing me. I couldn't bear staying there another night and escaped to Tashkent. I mean, you pay 170 dollars for a stay in a brand new Hyatt or 100 for a very questionable bed (I think it was mastered by some local workers for like 20 bucks, no kidding ) with some funny bedding in a smelly room. People at the reception are nice though. Yes, it was clean, but basic.
Dinara T — Google review
Hotel is in a great location. Easy walking distance to a lot of the attractions. It is clean and the staff polite. The breakfast had limited choice, so no chance of eating too much.

Scammed me $600 for $60 room, staff have been unresponsive for months. The room was missing drapes, lock wasn't working properly, bathroom plumbing smelled. There was still construction happening next door.
Rick C — Google review
I recently stayed for two nights at Royal Must Hotel in Samarkand and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is extremely old and clearly in need of renovation, which hasn’t even started yet despite being long overdue. The air conditioning in the room was barely working and did not cool the room properly, making it uncomfortable to stay, especially in the summer heat. The carpet looked very old and worn out, and even after it was put in, the floor still made noise when walking — which was quite annoying. The bathroom was another letdown. It was very small, the door wouldn't close properly, and there was no proper shower — just a poorly fixed knob that was loose and almost falling off. Overall, the facilities were far below expectations for a hotel of this category. Would not recommend staying here until serious renovations and improvements are made.
Tushar M — Google review
They cancelled my reservation the day of. Wouldn’t let me come or get a room. Seemed like a scam. Definitely avoid this place.
Dedrick M — Google review
The rooms are okay. The staff wasn't really friendly. The breakfast was a joke, they didn't even have fresh bread. Doesn't worth 60 bucks a night. Unfortunately, all the hotels in Samarkand are pricey. But here they don't even make an effort.
Alina L — Google review
Been there for 3days. Receptionist was always off. Bathroom stinks pretty badly until I told to check it and repair pipes. Breakfast is poor. This hotel change the manager and control its service, coz its not customer oriented.

Timur The Great is a guesthouse in Samarkand with comfortable and spacious rooms. It's also great for guests looking for a convenient base to explore the city's attractions. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and breakfast is decent.
Uzbekistan is a country that you can look at from several aspects, and two are the most important - historically and through the people who live there. You can see and experience Uzbekistan by staying in luxury hotels and visiting famous historical places. Or you can experience Uzbekistan through the people. I was lucky enough to experience it both ways, and this is my story about the MAN and the owner of this small hotel, Mr. Timur. And let me clarify right away, at the very beginning - if you want to get to know Uzbekistan through the people, the way they live and what they really are, this is the place for you. Don't expect a high-tech room, but you will get everything you need - a comfortable bed, clean towels, simple wardrobe, proper air conditioning and a functional bathroom. But at the same time, you will get the hospitality of Mr. Timur and his wife, which is rarely seen today. You will meet hard-working and honest people, with a big heart, who will really go out of their way to meet your needs, even when no one expects or asks them to. You are not guests of this small family hotel, you are friends. In the true sense of the words, you become a part of the house, a temporary member of the family, and then you will discover Samarkand and all its secrets through a completely new prism, which, unfortunately, is denied to all those who come to take pictures of beautiful historical sights. Only when you meet the wholehearted people, will you be able to UNDERSTAND fascinating madrasas, mosques and mausoleums. Because only the beauty of human souls can build magnificent objects. Thanks to Mr. Timur and his family for opening my eyes again after many years, showing me what is actually worth experiencing first and what comes after.
Kristijan L — Google review
Timur and his family were the most friendly hosts. We arrived early in the morning (around 4 a.m.) but we're still able to get already in our rooms. The breakfast was very rich and various, with tea, vegetables, fruits, omelette and even baklava. Timur was also extremely helpful with explaining the taxi driver our next stop. The location of the hotel is really central, important tourist attractions are in walking distance, such as the registan. Definitely a recommendation!
Wolfgang F — Google review
Nice guesthouse in a good location. Rooms were new, very spacious and warm!! I was in Uzbekistan in winter and not all rooms were warm in other places I stayed. Owner Timur is very nice and late checkout the day I left was no problem. Breakfast was less spectacular than some but certainly adequate.

Friendly, helpful host. Simple and tasty breakfast included. Close to everything you need from shops to restaurants. Clean comfortable room with cozy atmosphere and big bed. Cheap price. The best place of our trip in Uzbekistan.

I have stayed here twice and had numerous friends stay here. Temur aka and his family are absolutely wonderful people. Not only are the accommodations modern, spacious, and comfortable, but the guesthouse is perfectly located and the breakfasts are superb. Temur aka and his family are also extremely knowledgeable about the city and very willing to help with anything you might need. Could not recommend more!
Nicholas K — Google review
Absolutely great place with fantastic, humble and helpful owner. The rooms are much better than the ones currently displayed on google maps as the guesthouse was recently renovated. Cheap laundry, nice breakfast and the best location you can imagine: within a few minutes from Ragistan

Very good. Excellent room and Wi-Fi better than the other hotels I have stayed in while in Uzbekistan. Even better if bottled water was left in the room and some sort of tourist information, taxi numbers, recommended restaurants etc.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Samarkand, Hotel Samarkand Safar offers a delightful retreat just a short stroll from iconic landmarks like the Registon. This charming hotel boasts cozy yet spacious rooms adorned with vintage furniture that adds character to your stay. The warm hospitality provided by the attentive owner creates an inviting atmosphere, making guests feel right at home. Each morning, you can indulge in a generous breakfast spread that will fuel your adventures around this historic city.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Safar in Samarkand. The cozy, home-like atmosphere created by the host—who is also the owner—made our visit feel very special. He’s incredibly attentive and treats his guests with genuine warmth, which really stands out. The rooms are spacious and full of character, with vintage furniture that seems to have its own story. Towels are changed every two days, which we appreciated. While the bathroom amenities are minimal (not a lot of shampoo), it wasn’t an issue for us since we always travel with our own. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious and homemade, adding even more to the feeling of being welcomed into someone’s home. The common areas are decorated with many historical items and photographs, which gives the place a unique charm and sense of history. The location is also excellent—it’s a lovely area with plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance.
Elizaveta R — Google review
Nice little hotel tucked off the main road and about a thirty minute walk from the Registon. The room was cozy, yet spacious, and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was quite the spread and filling. The staff speak good English and were extremely helpful in getting me cabs to wherever I wanted to go. Taxi from the railway station cost 17,000 som and to the Registon was 15,000 som. To Urgut I paid 32,000 per hour. The issues I had were minor. The hot water in the toilet was iffy. And there was a constant sound from the roof which was muted in the room but loud in the toilet. I also wish the room had a trash can. The wifi was spotty but decent overall. They accept payment by credit card.
Ashwin M — Google review
Cozy place in a quiet area. Not far from the famous monuments (15 min walking). It offers a very individualized treat because rooms are very limited in number! Kind personnel, nice and big rooms, nice breakfast and silent! Only thing to improve is the wifi conexion (a bit slow). But I give them 5 points.
