History Museums
Epic Discovery Memorial is a unique attraction featuring a life-size replica of a Portuguese ship, along with botanical gardens and exhibits showcasing the history of Brazil. Visitors can explore native plants, an indigenous Pataxo hollow, and walk inside a full-scale replica of the boat used by Cabral in 1500. The museum offers an engaging experience with children serving as guides, providing insights into Brazil's discovery.
Very interesting and knowledgeable youngsters showing you around included in the 30 reais entry fee. It would be great however if there was also an English guide on hand.
Paty H — Google review
A little gem of a museum that everyone should discover for themselves. The organisers had the wonderful idea to use children as guides. These give visitors a tour of the museum and a short history of the discovery of Brazil. The entrance fee is 30 reais, which is worth it. Our guide, Carlos, was very intelligent and made the tour both interesting and funny. Given the importance of this place in Brazil's history, would be great if there was more investment in this museum.
Sergiu B — Google review
What? About US$7.50 for a ticket whose museum has few interesting attractions? No, not again. That was the first and last time I'll be there. The ship is interesting but they could have paid more attention to details. The native Indian house on the way to the ship is amazing. How come so many indians could have shared a house like that? Well, maybe they used to sleep in hammocks on the top of one another or whatever. Pay close attention to monkeys. They are interesting and show up whenever smell some food around arriving. Other than that, the Brazilian State Government should have paid attention to tourists and better preserve what nature has given.

Passarela do Descobrimento, also known as the Alcohol Catwalk, is a vibrant seafront promenade in Porto Seguro. Lined with palm trees and pastel-colored colonial buildings, it offers a lively nightlife and shopping experience. Visitors can explore an array of shops, restaurants, bars, and carts selling alcoholic beverages. The area is perfect for indulging in local cuisine and purchasing unique souvenirs.
During the day it is easy to admire the colorful buildings. After 18:00 there are a lot of market stalls which can make it a bit crowded. Plenty of restaurants and shops available
Reinier D — Google review
A must visit, attractive, colorful and joyful part of the town to visit, with many stores to spend on and buy artisanal gifts for yourself or loved ones! Filled with fun people, events, as well as some rather annoying salespeople but they are the staple of what Porto Seguro tourism is about however, they are easy to avoid when you know the routes and how to say no 😄.
Manuel G — Google review
The only thing there's to do in Porto Seguro at night. Lots of people walking, dining, drinking and strolling around looking at a 💯 stands of alcohol, chocolates, Bahian food and some live music. It continues to be very live until the bars near the sea. Good few hours before calling it a night.
Dima — Google review
Stunning colorful streets in the day that transform at night into a vibrant market with restaurants, street food, craft markets, street performers. There is so much energy and good vibes.

A nice walk you can make around the city. It’s in between the sea and the shops. Around the evening it’s full of people and sellers. You should be careful with your belongings too. In conclusion, it’s beautiful way to see part of the culture of Porto Seguro.

Quadrado is the beating heart of Trancoso, a charming 16th-century town with a mystical allure. This pedestrian-only square is a five-acre rectangle adorned with colorful former fishermens cottages, now transformed into stylish inns, shops, and eateries. The whitewashed church of Sao Joao Batista stands at one end while pristine Bahian beaches lie nearby.
Unarguably the heart of Trancoso, this beautiful square comes alive after dark with the ambiance of 100 lights, traditional brazilian music, art, a small crafts market and excellent eateries. Full of small town charm, the vibe of this place is just spectacular! Take some time to stroll through and connect with the amazing and warm locals.

What can i say, this place is just magical especially just about sunset when all the little quirky shops and restaurants turns on their fairy lights it's just so very beautiful and feels like you're in a space looking at one of our Galaxy arm, it's really is something you should experience in person, and if you think the photos is nice wait till you see it in person. Also the beach under this place with its famous little house at the bottom is well worth a visit as well.. Food is very nice and tasty, might not be cheap by local standards but for me with my money at the time of this review is equal to nearly 6 times the Brazilian money it's about a third of what you'll pay for a very decent meal in the UK, the prices for the food in restaurant prices are fixed but anything else you can haggle the price down quite a bit, don't pay the first price they say as they will hike the price up if they detect you're not from the country, just pay what you're comfortable with or politely walk away. I went there with my family, my wife did the talking as i don't talk Portuguese and as it turned out my father in low is an incredibly good haggler 🤣🤣 it's almost always was the kids that gave us away as they don't stop chattering in english 😡😂🤣 I simply love this place, it's stunning nature and views, and highly recommend a visit right around sunset where the magic happensand it comes alive.

My experience at the park was very good, the weather is sunny and warm, I had a lot of fun at the park! It has many food options, affordable tickets, a nice and clean park, a good place to relax and several options for having fun. It's really worth going to the Arraial d'Ajuda park!!
Artur F — Google review
Very beautifully laid out park. The most beautiful thing is the forest in which the park is located. So much green and birds chirping everywhere. It would be a real "eco" park if the park would do without plastic. I don't understand why plastic cups and plates are used. This produces so much trash.
Ma X — Google review
Nice place for entertainment with some very nice slides and a very good wave pool. The food was also good with a good variety of things, although the system and process of getting the food was very Brazilian and a bit slow. They could also have a better variety of slides in the space they have. In conclusion it is a very nice place to go with your kids if you are hanging around Arajal d'ajuda.
Måns S — Google review
Nice family water/adventure park. Not huge, but has an area for smaller kids and then a lazy river, water slides, zip lines and other activities for older kids and adults. Tons of food options including self serve buffet by weight. You can spend half a day here or a full day easily.
Tisha H — Google review
Beautiful place and view, very neat and organized, lots of food options. A great way to pass your day, especially with small children
Eran I — Google review
I went to eco park on Wednesday, October 12-2022. For a tourist attraction that has been around this long should be more organized. The entry to this park is a joke. 1st - they have two people checking people for contraband items. But they seem to not check people who they personally know. I watched people enter with cookies, chocolate bars , potato chips numerous items. 2nd - the lineup to pay for entry is also a joke. They don’t have enough lines or people working the lines. 3rd - they only accept specific identification for the discount. If your like me who has been here living and have all my utilities included in my rent. They will not give you a discount even though my cell bill has my Arraial D’Ajuda address and my ferry card also. 4th - the so called life guards working the wave pool are also a joke. When the live entertainment is on they forget about the people in the pool. I had to swim over to a young girl to help her as she went to the deep end. I turned around and seen all 5 life guards watching the live entertainment. If that child was mine I would file a lawsuit against the workers and also the park for negligence. The other staff in the park were helpful and polite . 👍The food concessions were good . But again not enough of them based on days when there are holidays in this region. The staff who come around and clean up the tables and areas were excellent 👍 I was told by a few staff that it is much better on days when there is no holiday in the region. So I will go one more time and see even though I have to pay R$120.00 to enter . Unfortunately, based on this experience I would have to only give this park a 2 ⭐️.

Loved the place as much as a Christian loves Christmas!
Luciano G — Google review
The facilities were good, but the money-grab was a deal breaker. You cannot bring your own food it drinks. You have to purchase food there, but you can't use cash or card--you have to put credit on a card that they provide for a small fee. If you use cash to put credit on that card, you can get back what you don't use, but you won't get anything back if you put credit on their food card using your credit or debit card. The food they sell is expensive and of poor to medium quality at best. Kids will probably have a good time, because they're not the ones paying for the experience. Adults, on the other hand, will probably be disappointed in regard to the cost/ benefit ratio.

Beach
Nature & Parks
Serene beach lined by palm trees & cliffs, offering panoramic views & nearby kiosks.
One of the best beaches in Arraial. It offers many good options of restaurants and bars, and they let you free to choose, different from other beaches in Brazil where every restaurant yells at you to have a table in it. The water in December is not that warm and the sea, specially during low tide, has a lot of algae. During high tides, the sea has stronger waves, and becomes better for entrainment.
João M — Google review
The water is more clean comparing to near beaches. Also I enjoyed the waves, they are not big at all but you can see them. There are places to eat and they have lockers for your belongings which is helpful. Don't leave your stuff alone on the beach!

Nestled amidst scenic cliffs, this serene spot boasts a spacious sandy shoreline and pristine, transparent waters. While lacking convenient transportation options such as vans or taxis, it remains a remarkable destination. The beach in Taipe captivates with its breathtaking beauty; however, it is important to note that the salad served here is primarily for aesthetic purposes. Despite occasionally powerful waves, this coastal haven offers an awe-inspiring setting that appeals to visitors seeking tranquility and natural splendor.

A Praia é simplesmente linda! Cuidado ao visitar a CABANA FALÉSIA. Fui extemamente mal atendido! The Beach is simply beautiful! Beware when visiting a FALSE HUT. I was extremly poorly attended! The waiter CAIO, besides being a drug user, is extremely rude and his family will be taken care of by him without a shirt. I had belongings subtracted by him, a single person nearby. You are invited to talk and talk about the bungalows in the background and the efforts to extend and coerce him a lunch or snack in the FALSE HUT. In case you do not consume to be forced to leave the place. Choose a CVC Tent to protect your Wife and children. If for days do not go big problems. The route is far from the FALSE COAST, it is nothing that is in the picture, much lower, and is charged 10 Reais. The CVC parking lot is wooded and your truck is close to you and you will also be charged 10 Reais. Do not take risks! If possible, take umbrella, styrofoam with drink and chair. Underneath you will go up to 100 reais. La playa es simplemente hermosa! Cuidado al visitar una CABANA FALSIA. ¡Fui extemamente mal atendido! ¡No corra riesgos! Keine Risiken eingehen! Wenn möglich, nehmen Sie Regenschirm, Styropor mit Getränk und Stuhl. Darunter werden Sie bis zu 100 Reais gehen.

Nativos Beach is a stunning palm-fringed sandy beach facing the Atlantic, offering visitors a range of natural and recreational activities. From speedboat rides through mangroves to discovering sea turtle spawning spaces, there are plenty of options for nature enthusiasts. The area has seen development by the hotel industry in recent years, attracting attention from international brands like Club Mediterranee.
Loved this beach very relaxing and such beautiful vibe I wish we had this in the Uk lol

Beautiful wild wide open bay. Great for a long sandy beach walk. Not for swimming as the water can be wavy and isn’t clear to see the condition of the seabed. There are a handful of beachside resto-bars and vendors.
MNML J — Google review
What was formerly the beach most used by natives went through a bit of a “revamp” and unfortunately pushed away a lot of natives and tourists alike due to the absurd prices practiced by the beach clubs in the area. The beach itself is beautiful - white sand and clear water - but the noise coming from the beach clubs is definitely a negative. Try to walk away a bit from where the noise is and find yourself a good place in the sand and you’ll definitely have a blast.
Pedro S — Google review
Beautiful beach with small waves and coarse white sand. There’s a small tent to the left of the beach clubs that rents 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for 100 reals.
Lorena F — Google review
The beach is beautiful, but bit special!Expensive price as is costume in Trancoso! You'll need to reserve lunch to get a table to sit at or pay a minimum consumption fee per person! The Coqueiros beach is much cooler and the same happens! So, if o have to choose I would not go back!☺
Ju B — Google review
Overrated beach with extremely expensive beach restaurants which is called clubs! 😂hard sand, sandy water so it's not clear. So much better beaches in Brazil than this. Very steep and dangerous walk / climb down to beach behind the church. Google maps not showing height difference so it's wrong as well as the roads which are not there because it's a swamp and you can't pass it. Beware of this. Better take moto taxi since otherwise a very long walk down and up if following the north road to beach

(Translated by Google) You thought of paradise. It's in Caraíva. A coastal and riverside city. Where the sea and the Caraíva River meet. The sea is almost waveless and the waters are warm, in the stretch very close to the river. The river also has nooks and crannies and sandbanks so you don't have to worry. Those who know how to swim can cross the river safely. But there's something interesting about this river: at low tide the current takes you to the sea, but when the tide starts to rise the river has almost no current. As the tide rises the current reverses and goes from the sea to the river. It was a lot of fun. We floated down and up the river. Of course you need to know how to swim because you'll be carried to the middle of the river. But to get to paradise you'll have to struggle. Leaving Trancoso it takes about an hour and a bit on a dirt road, full of bumps and holes. When you arrive in Nova Caraíva, you have to park in the parking lot for 20.00 and take a boat to cross the river, which takes about 10 minutes, paying 5.00 per person for the round trip. There is no traffic in the city, and it is all sand. Before you get to the beach, there are small markets where you can stock up on drinks, which are very expensive at the stalls. As for food, we chose to stay at a Flamengo stall, with a lounge chair, and ordered a fish that was very good. A day of guaranteed fun in a paradisiacal place. (Original) Você pensou no paraíso.

At the end of the trail, there are canoeists who take you across to the village of Caraíva for a fee of 5 reais per person, but only in the morning and afternoon, as at night you can only cross at the port. Parracho beach is a developed seaside destination that offers sunbathing and swimming opportunities. It features food and drink tents with waiter service, along with live music and DJs for entertainment. The beach itself is incredibly picturesque, with a stunning view of cliff walls in the background. For those looking to park nearby, there is a parking lot available for 30 reais in cash.
Beautiful background! Cristal water, touristy yet the area is big enough for everyone feel comfortable. Carlitos Restaurante was great, they are kind and welcoming. Note: it is not summer season yet, so I would have to come back when it is to see the differences. But anyway, it is A MUST TO VISIT :D

It can get wavy but it is swimmable. The water is blue but not clear, so you can’t see the bottom and have to swim with care. Because of the waves the fine sand clouds the water. There are about 3 beach bars or restaurants to choose from and get very busy. There are plenty of hawkers to selling snacks and small souvenirs, but they are pretty friendly and polite and not too annoying. The beach itself is very long and nice for a walk along the shoreline. The beach is kept quite clean.

(Translated by Google) Praia dos Amores, also known as Setiquara, got its name from a local legend that dates back to ancient times. According to the story, the beach was a meeting point for couples in love, who sought a quiet and secluded place to live their romances away from prying eyes. The name "Amores" comes from this connection with love and the idea of being a refuge for lovers. The natural beauty of the place, with its calm waters and paradisiacal scenery, only reinforces this romantic and peaceful atmosphere, making the beach a perfect destination for those seeking peace, nature and, of course, a touch of romance. So, the name reflects both the history of the beach and the welcoming atmosphere it offers, making it an ideal place for those who want to enjoy time with the one they love. 💖🌊
