Zoo
Healesville Sanctuary, located in the Yarra Valley, is a dedicated zoo focused on Australian wildlife conservation and fighting extinction. Visitors can support this not-for-profit organization while enjoying up-close encounters with wombats at Wombat Pat and Play, witnessing the daily bird show 'Spirits of the Sky,' and learning from informative Meet the Keeper talks. The sanctuary offers an immersive experience for kids with interactive exhibits like Tales from Platypus Creek and Dingo Country.
This sanctuary is such a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. The surroundings are calm, green, and full of natural beauty, making it perfect for relaxation and photography. You can spot a variety of birds/animals and really connect with nature here. The area is well-maintained, clean, and safe for families. A wonderful escape from the busy city life—highly recommend visiting for anyone who loves nature and tranquility.

Absolutely love Healesville sanctuary! My kids and I always have the best time when we visit. The staff are lovely, animals are gorgeous, plenty of play areas and beautiful bush land. I love the peaceful feeling I get when I hear the river water run. The flight arena bird show is always fun but warning it can get quite toasty in the warmer weather as there’s little to no shade in this part. I absolutely adore the bird enclosure with the gorgeous black cockatoos ❤️ my favourite birds. The kids love all the play areas but their favourite is the sandpit with the dinosaur skeleton.

Me and my friends are all Zoo Victoria members, and we absolutely love animals! 🐾 Healesville Sanctuary is one of our favourite places to visit. We often come here whenever we have free time — it’s such a lovely and joyful place to walk around and spend time with friends and family. All the staff are always so nice and friendly. I especially love listening to the animal talks and watching the Spirits of the Sky bird show — it’s amazing every time! 🦅 We always leave feeling relaxed and happy after visiting. Highly recommend it to all animal lovers! 🌿💚
Rayne J — Google review
Fantastic experience. Bigger than I expected. Good to have talks at different locations. So happy I got to see a platypus, Tasmanian Devil family at feeding time and echidna. The koalas were active moving and eating so it was a perfect time to walk past. Spirits of the Sky show was awesome. The birds were so well trained out in the wild (no enclosure) and they performed for us. Loved the swoop to catch a fish in the water, crack open an emu egg and reveal of thanks signage. It was different seeing a wombat and kangaroos in an upturned position (playing dead). Wow, a tree kangaroo. A wonderful visit and beautiful sunshine to make it the amazing time I had. The map was really handy and the signages were great.

I've been here many times, and this is a great little sanctuary. I recommend arriving in early or late hours, as the crowds aren't as large, and you'll be able to get to places/queues quicker. The animals don't mind the weather, but can be a bit elusive. If you arrive in the recommended hours, you're more likely to see them. All the enclosures are well made and designed with care. I highly recommend as well to do the Tawny Frogmouth close-up, as many don't really do this. However, Tiny and Kermit (The pair that you'll meet) are very calm and the tour guide is amazing!
Mia J — Google review
A wonderful zoo will undoubtedly delight visitors. The extensive grounds offer the opportunity to get acquainted with a variety of wild animals, from platypuses to rare species of kangaroos. You can also see active snakes and turtles here, as well as visit the laboratory and observe many wild and rare birds. Additionally, visitors will be able to see dingoes, koalas, and much more. Visiting this remarkable zoo promises to be interesting for both children and adults.
K K — Google review
We only had about 3 hours to spend and wish we had more. The exhibits were excellent. The animals had a lot of space and were also visible most of the time. The Tasmanian Devils were very active when we were there. We also got to see the platypus and attend the talk about them. I wish we had more time to hear more of the talks. The presenter was very knowledgeable and patient. The bird enclosures were also very nice with volunteers available to answer questions.
Crys — Google review
First time visiting from NZ yesterday and we loved it! Well looked after animals and heaps to see. Great informational talks on Platypus and Echidna too. We unfortunately missed the spirit of the sky show at 3pm due to heavy rain but luckily a keeper named Taz took us to feed the Emu's and it was a perfect way for us to end the visit! Well worth making the drive if you're staying in the city or around Melbourne

Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery is a must-visit destination for chocolate and ice cream enthusiasts. This renowned spot showcases the artistry of Belgian and French chocolatiers who craft over 150 varieties of gourmet chocolates. Visitors can enjoy complimentary tastings and even witness the chocolatiers at work.
A High Tea Treat! When my partner and I saw that the @Yarra Valley Chocolaterie now had a 2pm availability for a High Tea there, we thought we could finally go to a session. (For different reasons we couldn't make the 11am sessions previously.) So we planned & went to a High Tea last Saturday, with much curiosity and enthusiasm. Upon arrival, there was a beautiful set-up and attention to detail, like with the lovely menu and the fancy table setting. During the session, there was a nice brief chat from one of the pastry chefs, with a Q & A session that was interesting and didn't go for too long. The quality of both the savoury and the sweet foods we sampled was high. We couldn't fault the foods or drinks - they were all delicious! I liked the real hot chocolate with cup of melted milk chocolate made there at the Chocolaterie, as well as the English Breakfast leaf tea. My favourite savoury foods were the * poached prawn blini, taramosalata, dill, and * beetroot macaron, whipped goat's cheese, peppered fig. My favourite sweet treats were the * raspberry milk chocolate macaron, and * triple choc brownie. We both felt that the price we paid was good value, especially as we were able to take home the many leftovers that we couldn't consume there (we were so full). Afterwards, we both agreed we would go again, but maybe in about a year's time, when the menu might change, so we could try other items too. Thank you to all those involved, for such an enjoyable & memorable experience at the #Yarra Valley Chocolaterie! See you next time! Cathy & Peter

The chocolaterie is beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere, the food in the cafe is very well presented as well. We didn’t get any chocolates in the shop but the mousse with chocolate frogs was adorable and delicious. It’s lovely how it came with hot melted chocolate. The meal of chips and popcorn chicken was also very cute, it came in a cow design box and the food was tasty. If you order a fridge drink they also bring out a glass with ice instead of just the bottle which is nice. It was also great to sit down and order the food with the digital menu and the waitresses are very kind and bring out your meal politely. A lovely day out! I recommend a visit.
Sharnie D — Google review
I had the fish and chips from the cafe which came with a generous serving of beautiful crispy chips and a side of salad. The dipping sauce for the fish was really nice as was the dressing for the salad. The fish was also finely battered and crispy. We also had a gigantic scone which was big enough to share and a macadamia nut cheesecake. I had a small pot of English breakfast tea. We came at 12pm on a Thursday during school holidays and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. We managed to snag a table for two with a window view after waiting a little bit longer for some patrons to leave. All in all, it was a perfect lunch spot. It was very busy and the staff were run off their feet serving food, drinks and cleaning tables. Some staff were friendlier than others. Re the chocolateria side of the business, there's a lot of choices and many different forms of merchandise with a chocolate theme. I got a pack of chocolate pastilles and a brownie making kit.

Yarra Glen and the wider Yarra Valley are among the most beautiful and relaxing destinations in Victoria. This region perfectly blends natural beauty, local charm, and incredible food and wine experiences. The rolling hills, scenic vineyards, and peaceful countryside views make it a great escape from the busy city. It’s an easy drive from Melbourne, and once you arrive, the fresh air and open landscapes immediately make you feel calm and refreshed. The Yarra Valley is best known for its world-class wineries, and Yarra Glen has some of the finest. Many of them offer wine tastings, cellar-door experiences, and stunning outdoor seating where you can enjoy a glass while overlooking the vineyards. Beyond the wine, there are also excellent cafés, restaurants, and bakeries serving local produce and delicious meals. Every spot feels friendly and welcoming, with a strong community spirit and great service everywhere you go. For nature lovers, the area offers beautiful walking and cycling trails, with plenty of picnic areas and scenic lookouts. The Yarra Glen Racecourse and local markets are also worth visiting, giving you a real taste of country life and local culture. The wildlife, especially the birds and kangaroos, adds an authentic Australian touch to the experience. Accommodation options range from cozy cottages and farm stays to luxury retreats, making it perfect for weekend getaways or day trips. Overall, Yarra Glen and the Yarra Valley are must-visit destinations for anyone who loves nature, good food, and peaceful countryside charm. Every visit feels refreshing, and it’s a place you’ll always want to come back to.

The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is clearly a popular and high-traffic destination for most visitors to the Yarra Valley area. It is a worthwhile stop, and the location offers good scenery around the grounds. I opted for the chocolate tasting experience, the staff provided testers with detailed description of their chocolate varieties. The retail area is extensive, selling a huge selection of chocolates, ranging from truffles and bars to unique novelties, as well as local honey and a dedicated ice cream counter. A unique feature is the impressive 1-meter chocolate bar display. Overall, it's a very busy but recommended spot for a sweet treat and a break during a valley trip. There's also a restaurant with ample seating for you to have brunch/lunch.
Orlena K — Google review
The place was quite busy, so we had to wait in a queue to get a seat, but it was well worth it. We tried the Pit Master Burger, Chicken Parma, Real Hot Chocolate, and the Choccamochachino. The food overall was good, and the stunning views made the visit even more enjoyable. The highlight for me was definitely the Choccamochachino hands down the best thing I had there! Perfectly rich and smooth. A great spot to relax, enjoy delicious food, and take in the Yarra Valley scenery

If you are big fan of chocolate, then this is the best place for you to visit. The variety of chocolate products available here is massive. Retail section can take you easily an hour to browse through and they also have delicious ice cream station. Plenty of parking available, even for mini buses.

This hilltop chocolate wonderland practically oozes Willy Wonka vibes. The main attraction is a massive gift shop with every kind of chocolate product you could imagine. The cafe has incredible views of the nearby hills and vineyards, and serves surprisingly good pizza for a chocolate factory. My friend that I finished our visit off with a delicious iced chocolate, and left well satisfied.

Yarra Valley Dairy is a renowned destination in the Yarra Valley, known for its fine artisan cheeses. The dairy offers a wide selection of high-quality cheeses that are perfect for pairing with the region's famous wines. Visitors can indulge in a delightful high tea experience featuring ribbon sandwiches and other delectable treats. Additionally, the area is home to several other attractions such as wineries, bakeries, and small towns worth exploring, making it an ideal destination for food and wine enthusiasts.
As you walk through the rather unassuming entry you are immediately struck by the amazing smell of cheese. The dairy shop is well organised and well priced. One of the best things is that the staff are incredibly friendly and willing to chat and answer questions on cheese making. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable. We enjoyed the $5 cheese tasting (4 cheeses), which was delicious and generous. A $15 tasting is also available (10 cheeses). We were determined not to purchase, however the tasting was so good, we left laden with cheese and delicious takeaway cheese cake. They have an amazing menu for lunch as well. If you are in the Yarra, this place is a must for a visit. BLESSED are the CHEESE MAKERS!

My first-ever cheese tasting and it was AMAZING! 🧀 We got to try 10 cheeses for just $15/pp – such a good deal! The staff were super friendly and explained everything so well. Loved exploring their little shop full of boards, cheese cutters, spreads & more. We grabbed a milkshake + a super strong caramel latte (hello, caffeine kick ☕️), and also tried the cheesecake and their famous brie hotpot. You HAVE to try the chili brie hotpot – it’s next-level delicious!

Beautiful little stop in the Yarra Valley! The cheese tastings were generous and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the marinated goat cheese and truffle brie. The setting is stunning with views over the hills, and it’s the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine. A must-visit if you’re in the area.

Been years since I was here. Its a little delight for cheese lovers with their signature Persian feta a must try. cheese tastings are v reasonable. staff friendly and really knowledgeable. also enjoyed the Yering Valley Apple cider.
Tina N — Google review
Yarra Valley Dairy offers excellent service and great coffee. However, the shop layout could use some improvement for a better customer experience. The cheese prices are quite high — up to $15 for just 100g — while some of the same cheeses can be found in other supermarkets for half the price.
M A — Google review
Went for the cheese tasting and of course it was incredible. Unfortunately it is heavy with the the goats cheese (not a fan personally) so I could only try a few but so happy and very unique cheeses. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. They have some great condiments which would have been good if there was samples, I believe they would sell more if there was samples. Thank you!

Absolutely delicious cheese selection from the Farmhouse board. Coffees were fab. It was my second time coming here and it feels so warm, welcoming and quaint. Great as a first stop before checking out more spots while in the Yarra Valley.

A wonderful private Gallery set amongst vineyards, rolling hills with a picturesque lake. Fantastic exhibitions held here. Adjoining restaurant has wonderful food but a little expensive. A worthwhile hour or so drive from Naarm/Melbourne.

Visited TarraWarra Museum of Art in the Yarra Valley and wow - what a beautiful spot! The building is stunning, built into the hills with gorgeous views through huge windows. Their art collection is small but thoughtful. A bit far from Melbourne but worth visiting if you're in the area!!

Stunning grounds, and a very impressive collection of art. Would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. There’s also a cellar door and restaurant on site which both looked great

The place is stunning, a combination of museum, gallery and wine tasting bar. The scenery is very attractive but calm with water features. The architectural of the buildings were attractive too with all the sunlight and shadow. All the staff are super friendly, especially at the wine tasting bar, a lot of small talk and really let us enjoy the time for the wine tasting, not as commercial as other you may encounter. Also the place is relatively quiet so no need to be rush and face the crowd. if you prefer some quiet moment and for some wine tasting that is not being pushed, here is the place.

We really really enjoyed our visit. The Staff are friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit and allow plenty of time to explore. Don’t miss the Callum Morton installation on the way in (make sure you go inside)

We went for lunch but stayed for the art exhibition. It was mainly indigenous art, much of which was beyond me. I found some works very moving. It included painting, sculpture, video/sound works and other forms of art. Worth a visit and the restaurant has excellent food though not cheap. You certainly get quality for the money and the service is first class.
Russell C — Google review
We haven't had a chance to visit when the museum opens so we can give a review regarding the external area only. It was a great scenic spot to chill out for get away trip. The best time to visit would be around the autumn season as they have few nice areas with yellow autumn leaves plants. I guess other seasons like spring are also good with leafy pathways and a big pond in the middle. It gives a calm and peaceful feeling when walking or sitting around in the area.

Four Pillars Gin Distillery, located in Healesville, is a craft distillery that has been producing a wide range of gin since its establishment in 2013. The distillery's focus revolves around their four pillars: great copper stills, pristine Yarra Valley water, traditional and exotic botanicals, and an abundance of love. Visitors can enjoy the modern tasting room offering cocktails and snacks or participate in one of their gin masterclasses.
Loved every moment of the gin tasting , it happened to be world Gin day 14th June — It was a perfect mix of fun and learning. The selection was diverse, the flavors were fantastic, and the hosts were knowledgeable and friendly. I discovered new favorites and gained a real appreciation for the craft behind each bottle. Highly recommend it to any gin lover! 🍸
Romesh G — Google review
Four Pillars Gin was not even in our original plan, but we were already in the mood after champagne and wine stops, so I thought, why not complete the circle with some gin? I am not exactly a gin person, but I have to say, this stop made me rethink that a little. The gin was great, yes, but can we talk about the duck pate? I had it after a full cheese fondue lunch at Chandon, and still managed to finish the entire jar by myself. It was creamy, flavourful and went so well with their crackers. Honestly, I would go back just for that pate. For the drinks, I ordered the gin tasting set which came with four different types of gin, served with tonic water on the side so you could mix to your liking. I got to try a few variations, but the one that really stood out for me was the Shiraz Gin. It had a nice depth and smoothness that I did not expect. Easy to drink and very well balanced. The place itself has a cool industrial chic vibe, very open and relaxed. Staff were friendly and made the tasting experience fun without being too formal. It did not feel rushed and we got to enjoy everything at our own pace. If you are in the area, even if you are not a gin lover, I say give it a try. You might leave with a new favourite and definitely with a full stomach.

Popped in on Friday around 5 p.m. and the place was absolutely buzzing. Happy hour kicked off at 6 with great drink specials, amazing cocktails, and a full house. The yuzu gin was incredible and the yuzu sour cocktail was even better. The staff were fun and friendly, and the whole place had a great energy. They also run a happy hour dinner on Friday nights, which looked awesome. Definitely the spot to be and probably my number one pick when visiting Healesville.
Chris ( — Google review
I had no idea that Four Pillars Gin originated in Melbourne! We stopped by after visiting the Redwood Forest to do a gin tasting and ended up learning a lot about the gin-making process. It was fascinating to discover how different spices are infused to create unique flavours. We also got to rate several distinct gin varieties and try some cocktails made with their different gins — each with fruity, coffee, chocolate, or smoky notes. The experience was really enjoyable, easy to access, and they even offer a membership with some great deals.
Andrew G — Google review
A nice place for an afternoon chill with friends or family over gin and some bar food. A small distillery to see the making of the Four Pillar gins. They have a small restaurant that let u taste their gin and cocktails (the cocktail flight is a must), and enjoy some finger food/ snacks. There is also a small shop to buy some merchandise and of course their famous gin to bring home.
Alan T — Google review
Had an explosion of flavour for lunch before completing a gin tasting of 7 of Four Pillars finest Gins. The whole experience was absolutely amazing thanks to a charismatic young gentlemen by the name of Cooper. He educated us about all the traditional spices and infusions in gin making and what sets Four Pillars aside from the rest. His passion and love for what he does, along with his endless knowledge made for a wonderful gin filled afternoon. Cannot recommend Four Pillars highly enough for a visit for foodies and gin lovers. Simply a MUST when in Healesville hopefully you will be lucky enough to meet Cooper the legend himself. Four Pillars also have a nonalcoholic range which is also in a league of its own compared to other nonalcoholic spirits. Full of flavour and just as delicious.

My wife took me to Four Pillars for my 35th birthday and I have now fallen in love with Gin thanks to them 😍 Amazing place. Was served by David who gave us a wonderful experience with so many smiles, stories, and samples. Every Gin I tired was beauitful. Strongly recommend visiting the distillery. I'll be back soon I know it. Shop at the front is well stocked and very good prices.

This place was fun. Well worth the drive and if you’re a gin lover like me, it’s a must try. We had the G&T paddle and discovered a new gin, olive leaf, which is scrumptious so I’ll be going back and getting a couple more bottles. The snacks were good too. We had the fries and a tiramisu dip…so so good.

Alowyn Gardens is a charming destination featuring landscaped plots with wisteria displays, formal gardens, and a fruit and veg patch for tasting. The hosts' dedication to maintaining the grounds is evident, making it a delightful place to visit. Yarra Valley Gourmet Foods offers an array of gourmet products made from the freshest local produce. While the garden's size may not be vast compared to some in Europe, it still stands out as an impressive attraction in Australia.
This is one of my 2 favourite gardens in Victoria (other being Forest Glade Gardens). The main reason is the Wisteria and I love Wisteria. I went at the end of September and it was really beautiful it is over a big walk way so it dangled over the walkway. It’s really lovely I think another month later would have been even better for more bloom. The maze hedge was cool, and lots of different trees and plants to explore and a paddock out the back with very cute cows. Don’t think they were part of the gardens but I went and said hello. The cafe was okay. We ended up going next door to the Chocolaterie.
Mary M — Google review
I came here during winter. But I still enjoy the trip. The gardens looked really wonderful online and I wish it was not a rainy and cloudy day so I could have fully absorbed the beauty of the place. I guess it was just bad luck that the environment was not suited for us that day. Nevertheless we won the day back. I really enjoyed all the variety that was available at the garden. There was a really wide selection of plants, trees, wildlife, and things to do. Definitely one of my more favourite guidance to visit. I would definitely come back again and I have to actually come back again when it's not raining and cloudy. The day felt very cosy and kind of cinematic in a sad movie kind of way. But that was also kind of a good thing. I guess it just matters about who you're with not what the environment or whether is.

Beautiful!! We went in late September when some blossoms (Crab apple) were out...they were stunning! We missed the full glory of the Wisteria though. We took some photo fame photos....that is why I highly recommend coming here ready for photos. Has toilets, cafe and nursery!

I've been a regular to this garden for a few years now and it just keeps getting better. New areas get added all the time and seasonal plants get rotated into the mix. Its such a brilliant example of what a public garden space is supposed to be and its nice to see so many people enjoying plants as much as I do. It's also easily my favourite nursery to get plants from, great stock, lovely staff, even met some other bonsai enthusiasts while I was there. I can see myself coming back here for many more years.

We went on 25th September. Although the wisterias were not in bloom yet (which is what we came for), the crab apple flowers were and they were beautiful! The labyrinth with the red leaves was a nice surprise, and the nursery was also enjoyable to learn the names of some flowers. Although we missed the wisterias, I think it was still worth our visit

We came for Wisteria but was too late and should visit 2 weeks earler for best timing. However, there are a lot of flowers of other species which are beautiful. Lots of poppies today and we enjoyed the visit. There is cafe serving simple meals which is also nice place to rest after visiting the gardens. We also bought some plants from the nursery.

Had a beautiful time yesterday exploring Alowyn Gardens and especially grateful for the care shown towards my elderly mother who can only access such places in a wheelchair. It warmed my heart to see others experiencing this beautiful tranquil space with the same needs. The accessible toilet was clean and very easy to get into with a standard wheelchair. Looking forward to coming back on a sunnier day and with more time to spare. The cafe was lovely and the staff were really pleasant. I'd love a vegan option on the menu but otherwise 10/10. Get there early and make a day of it. It's so peaceful and stunning with lots of places to rest and take it all in. Thankyou to the Alowyn Gardens team! We will be back 🌺🌹

Visited this garden last weekend and it was beautiful! It's just that some of the flowers I wanted to see weren't in bloom. But many others were. I also really enjoyed the vegetable area. So, not only did I enjoy the beauty of all the flowers, but I also gained knowledge and played games in the maze. You need to get a line at the ticket entrance, so be prepare.

From December to April, visitors can marvel at the mesmerizing Giant Amazon Waterlilies and over 70 varieties of waterlily flowers, including Claude Monet's original collection from France. The garden also offers attractions such as the Golden Lotus display and Tropical World Complex.
It is a beautiful garden. On a busy day they hire parking assistant to help guiding people to park. Staff is friendly to give you a map and welcome you. The garden has built plenty of facilities, shaded area for picnic, toilets and ice cream booth. The garden is maintained well. On Australia Day weekend the flowers are not in full blossom so guess that we might be a bit late in the season. Overall this is a nice place and can see the management put in great effort to make it a great place to visit

The drive up was great. It is now the end of lotus season however I was amazed at the different species colours, sizes and shapes. The flowering season is 24 December to 21/4 every year, confirm with the site directly. It was the most enjoyable day to walk around and experience such diversity in one place. The gardens are an attachment to the nursery.

it was beautiful and such a lovely place to walk around. But the day we went was very hot, and unfortunately, many of the flowers were already wilted or past their peak. I think it’s best to visit in the middle of the event season rather than towards the end for a better experience. Still, it’s a charming spot overall! 🪷🪷🪷🪷

I visited Blue Lotus Garden in March 2024 and was amazed by its peaceful beauty. The vibrant lotus blooms were stunning, and the weather was perfect—sunny yet mild, making the stroll through the garden even more enjoyable. The well-maintained paths and calm atmosphere provided a relaxing experience. The on-site café was a great spot for a refreshing drink and light snacks, offering a perfect break amidst the greenery. Overall, it was a lovely escape into nature, ideal for those looking for tranquility and beauty. Heads up for cafe 👍
Money M — Google review
Very customer focused, a great venue for big group gatherings, plenty for kids to see as well (kids free under 15). Paths are designed with lovely shade areas to sit, rest and admire the beautiful atmosphere and flowering lotus. On a 30.C day we could still meander through the water garden with comfort and ease, even with plenty of visitors. Get in early (10am open) for the best photos and a well earned rest at the gorgeous cafe with lotus chips, an icy cold drink, when the crowds start building. Staff are very accomodating as you can bring your own food with picnic tables available, BBQ facilities and toilets are clean. A perfect day to enjoy the beauty of these flowers.

Exceptional! Beautiful gardens, easy to walk around even with my dodgy knees, lots of benches and little shaded huts to stop and admire the view or have your picnic, cafe staff were friendly and efficient, enjoyed my quiche. Clean toilets and well managed carpark, everything was running like a well oiled machine, I was impressed. I also bought a bunch of lillies to take home.

We went here to go to the Blossom Festival today! It was a beautiful place to visit with very well maintained blossom trees. The scenery was beautiful! I took my granddaughters to the Blossom Farm it was fun. Lots of photo opportunities amongst the pretty trees. Lots of food and activities the cherry ice cream was great. The cherry shop had everything. They had a kids activity marquee which was good. I would have liked a tour guide or someone to talk to about the blossom to cherry 🍒 trees.

We came for the Blossom festival where we were amazed with the beautiful fields of cherry blossoms!! Large and spacious area for the family or for a date. It was a dog friendly experience, however the smell of poop filled the air in the communal areas and made it not so pleasant to stay for longer than usual.

It has plenty of parking🅿️🚗 available. It needs some walking distance toward the entry. Dogs on a leash and with good manners are welcome, except in the café area. They have pup cups (dog's ice cream🍦🍪) available. During the blossom season (pre-book and tickets are required), there are some decorated seats between the blossom trees, which are the beautiful spot to take photos. 🌸📸 I enjoyed the cherry soft serve so much, but it melted very fast. 🍒🍦 Got 2 bottles of cherry juice, which were made from 2kg of cherries before handing out🥤

We attended both the night event, and the day time Blossom Festival, and unfortunately the weather was not great for both of the events. This is no fault of the event organisers, but it did affect the atmosphere and the flowers themselves. The flowers were not in full bloom as I expected. They were nice, but nothing spectacular. A little bit disappointed for the time and money invested.

Visited on 12 August. One of the most disappointing tasting experiences. We’ve done tastings at a number of cellar doors around Yarra and have met wonderful sommeliers. But the one at Tarrawarra was a huge letdown. Didn’t get the sommerlier’s name but he was just giving us his bare minimal and felt like we were rushed to finish. It was a real pity as the place is gorgeous. But the experience left a real bad aftertaste.

Steavenson Falls is a must-visit attraction in Marysville, offering a stunning 84-meter drop waterfall. Visitors can access the falls from the car park with a short 700-meter walk to the viewing platform. For those seeking more adventure, there's an option to hike from the town center, which takes around 30 minutes to an hour depending on fitness levels. The area also features camping grounds and trails for outdoor enthusiasts.
A must visit place, 84m falls located just 350m from the parking lot(if you're lucky enough to get a parking near the entrance 😉), we couldn't try the longest hike since we were with a toddler. Very convenient walk if you want to visit the bottom of the fall, have to take a steep climb to reach the top of the fall. Finding a parking spot wasn't easy for us since it was on a public holiday. Toilet facilities were ok. Can take the pram up to certain point and have to leave it if you want to witness the falls from the best viewpoint. Swimming is strictly prohibited since the water is used for town water supply.
Ahamed M — Google review
Easy walk from the car park. Only 700 meters. There are harder longer options available that are very scenic. It's good to see the progress of recovery after the 2009 fires, but will take many years for the trees to grow back to the same grandeur. A visit at night is highly recommended, where the falls and the paths are lit from the small 13kw hydro electric plant on site.
Walter — Google review
Magic short walk for the family up the Falls. Steep in sections, but a well kept track. Toilet facilities too. Nice and close to town for a lunch stop after the walk. Loads of options there. Also a great park for the kids too.
Christian C — Google review
Best waterfall we have been too! There is about 20 car spaces in the car park, my advice is go early otherwise you will be parking further down the road and walking more. Toilet on site and only about 2 minute walk on flat ground from car park to viewing platforms to see the waterfall. There are several other trails for those who want the extra adventure, we took one to the top of the waterfall, about 15min up and 15min down, take care on the muddy track and wear appropriate footwear. The sound, the views, the smell all just incredible, our 9yr old handled it very easy and we saw some elderly people also doing the hike to the top. If you have read this than you need to be in your car already and going :)
Brendan — Google review
It's so beautiful here , the creek with its clear water running from the waterfall, the nature sounds it's a very peaceful place to visit . It is about a 45 min hike if you're going all the way to the top of the waterfall.
Sarah — Google review
Beautiful waterfall, best scene from below but definitely worth the 800m-hike to the top of the falls for good views and fresh water. Get there before 11am to avoid crowds.
Amit S — Google review
This place is absolutely stunning! With its majestic waterfalls and top-notch security, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy quality time with family and friends. @viajandoconmibandera
John S — Google review
The renowned Steavenson Falls in Marysville, about 2 hours north-east of Melbourne, is one of Victoria’s tallest waterfalls. Enjoy a beautiful short walk with friends and family and be rewarded by the sight of these impressive 84m cascading falls. Head along a well-graded all-abilities track to enjoy views from the base of the falls. For the more energetic, you can also climb the stone steps up to the Steavenson Falls walking track as it winds up the side of the hill to the top viewing platform. From here you can look down onto the falls and take in an impressive view of the Steavenson River Valley, covered in ferns and trees. For a unique experience, explore the walk during the evening when gravelled path and falls are floodlit between dusk and midnight.

Barbecued quail and Confit Duck for the win! The Sous Vide Lamb Shoulder was also good, very tender! Our server Josel was the best! He was very accommodating, had extensive knowledge of the food and the different wines, and had a good overall wonderful customer service! Look for him when you go there. On a recommendation we went for lunch at Isabella’s. We were greeted and treated like royalty by Josel(alias James Bond), his attention to detail and friendly approach made our experience all the more enjoyable. The meals were quite generous helpings and thoughtfully prepared. The choices on the menu were diverse.

The last stop in our wine tour finished with another good selection of wine for tasting. It's another well oiled commercial wine producer. They were understanding that this was our fourth and last stop, providing us with a long table and chairs to sit on while doing our wine tasting (the prior 3 others had us standing and tasting). Likely to avoid any of us being imbalanced and falling. 😂 Again, another good selection of wine but externally, nothing outside the building that's unique to enjoy.
Layar J — Google review
If you are coming for a day trip, wine tasting, social group, you should have a good time, it's got a lovely atmosphere. If you join a tour, your tour guide will be able to arrange a main course, chips and a glass of wine for $50, which is better value than ordering separately. The wine tasting venue is this beautiful underground facility and we ate slow cooked beef, duck and fish and entree is quail.
Janet T — Google review
This weekend, hubby and I booked a Yarra Valley tour to play tourists in our own city. We love this region—visit multiple times a year—and wanted to see it through the eyes of a first-timer. Unfortunately, our first stop was Rochford… and it was a letdown from the start. As a passionate wine lover who’s tasted across Australia, NZ, Europe, South Africa and beyond, I’ve never come across a wine tasting that felt this lifeless. The lady running our tasting clearly didn’t want to be there—zero enthusiasm, no passion, and visibly irritated when asked questions. It was a quick, clinical pour-and-go with barely any interaction apart from a rehashed line. What’s worse? We had to spend more time at their shop than at the tasting itself—which says a lot. Even then, the lady took 10 minutes to ring up my husband’s wine purchase and had to make calls to work out their system. The vibe was cold, the space was sterile, and the wines were underwhelming. It honestly made me so sad. You could tell no one in the Go West tour group enjoyed it. And it breaks my heart that this might be a tourist’s only taste of the Yarra Valley (as apart from the gin distillery this particular tour doesn’t visit any other wineries, wild isn’t it???), when this region has so much to offer in warmth, quality, and character. Rochford just didn’t show up.

Coombe Yarra Valley is a stylish winery and restaurant located in the former residence of opera singer Dame Nellie Melba. Situated in the sought-after Yarra Valley, this property offers 10 clear acres of fertile land with mains water already connected. It was previously a strawberry farm and provides picturesque views, making it an ideal location to build a luxury home or continue farming activities.
We recently had our wedding at Coombe Yarra Valley, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and memorable day. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. A special thank you to Angela, who was absolutely incredible throughout our entire wedding planning journey. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the process feel seamless and enjoyable. She guided us through every step with care and made sure everything came together perfectly. On the day itself, the Coombe team went above and beyond to ensure both we and our guests were looked after. The level of coordination among the staff was outstanding, they communicated so well between themselves that we felt completely supported and felt like a priority throughout the entire event. The venue is, of course, stunning, but it’s the people who truly make Coombe special. We’re so grateful for everything they did to make our day magical and we cannot recommend Coombe Yarra Valley highly enough to any couples looking for a dream wedding venue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Tayla C — Google review
As a wedding florist, we always love returning to Coombe Yarra Valley. The venue is a perfect blend of rich historical charm and modern elegance. Tucked behind the hedges, it’s full of beauty — from the original gardens and striking architecture to the refined interiors. It provides a stunning canvas for ceremonies in the Italian Garden or under the Oak Tree, and the reception space is just as breathtaking, with rich and raw features. One of our favourite moments is decorating the tables with lots of candles — it looks especially magical as night falls, particularly on the glass-top tables, where the reflections add an extra sparkle ✨✨ The team is consistently warm, professional, and so lovely to work with. I love walking into the reception space to see familiar smiling faces 🥰 The weddings and events team is always organised and make our job easy. It’s such a joy to be part of weddings and events at Coombe!

Beautiful winery with lush green gardens and very helpful hosts. Hosted a drive day function at the Gallery and Emma our event manager was incredibly helpful. We dropped off the gifts and place cards and banner the day before and Emma had it all set up perfectly. Emma greeted us at the gates and led us to the Gallery. Everyone complimented on the food and presentation. I highly recommend Coombe for functions. There was an option for a garden tour but we didn’t have the time to incorporate that into our event. Definitely one of the best places to host a function
Eva C — Google review
I loved the venue and we had a wonderful view of the trees from our table. The building interior is very interesting and beautifully finished; for what was once the old garage for Nellie’s luxury automobiles- Cadillac, Rolls Royce etc. The service was friendly and unhurried. Our meals were delicious and are commented on in other reviews. My 4 star atmosphere rating is reduced from 5 due to the repetitive, & to my taste, boring jazz trumpets. A bit more variety would be nice.
Nicole L — Google review
I was invited to a private party in the museum. The service is good. There are two options for each course. I had Confit Duck Terrine, Slow Cook Pork Belly and Pork Scotch, Peach Melba. The duck is good but the bun is dry. Pork scotch is much better than the pork belly. Peach Melba is not to my liking. I want a bit sour than sweet.
Libby Y — Google review
The food was amazing! Hard to decide what to have! Started with homemade, still warm, bread to dip into a gorgeous fresh olive oil (forgot to take a photo). A glass of Coombe sparkling, then Coombe Chardonnay with the Barrimundi. Terrific, friendly service. Would have liked to go on a tour of the house and gardens, but a bit much on the expensive side. Maybe another time. The flat white coffee was on the weak side unfortunately. Great place for a special celebration, like our wedding anniversary!

We absolutely love working at Coombe Yarra Valley! We’ve had the pleasure of styling many weddings here over the years, and it’s always such a joy. The team is incredibly supportive, responsive, and professional, which makes the whole process so enjoyable. Beyond that, the venue itself is simply stunning, a truly beautiful setting for couples to celebrate, and such an inspiring venue to style. We can’t recommend Coombe highly enough! Gorgeous rainforest, only 1.5-2hours away from Melbourne CBD! The actual trail takes 15-30minutes to walk (depending on your fitness level). You’ll see some amazing huge trees and a small river. Can be very slippery when wet so wear proper shoes!

Beautiful walk on elevated platforms through lush tall trees and ferns, about a ten minute walk with the sounds of running water and birds, there are alot of stairs going down and back up, also there is a canter leverer lookout at the start which is 15 metres above the forest floor, toilets are located by the car parking.

I loved visiting the Rainforest Gallery in East Warburton. ❤️ It’s only about an hour and a half from Melbourne, but it feels like you’re deep in nature. The walk is short and easy, with a boardwalk winding through ferns and massive old trees. The lookout at the start gives such a beautiful view, and along the way all you hear are birds and running water. It can get a little slippery after rain, so good shoes are a must. Overall, such a peaceful and refreshing spot😊definitely worth the visit!

Reminds me of the hinterland in QLD except its cold! Beautiful ferns, moss and waterfalls. Loved the walk around, short and medium difficulty. Definitely a walk to enjoy the rainforest rather than an exercise. Plenty of parking. The lookout is easy to get to and suitable for everyone of all abilities. Will come back again, it was absolutely beautiful! If you're introverted, come on a weekday to avoid the crowds, slightly busy with the school holidays on at the moment.

Beautiful metal walkway into a rainforest. Albeit very short, the circuit takes 15 minutes to lap, great for short detour or secondary target

Highly recommended with family. Nice easy walk and really feel like your in a rain forrest or stepping back in time. Jurassic park vibes the kids thought. Must if in the area.

Nice place for watching rainforest and a small falls with the water sound. Good for kids and nature lovers.

A lovely short walk through the forest, taking about 30 minutes to complete. The path is well-defined, but there are steps, so it’s not suitable for prams. There’s also a viewing platform to enjoy the scenery. Parking is available along the road. I noticed some toilets onsite but didn’t use them, so I can’t comment on their condition.

Yarra Ranges National Park, located about 80 km northeast of Melbourne, is a stunning rainforest park offering a range of activities such as hiking, cycling, and skiing. The park encompasses the picturesque towns of Healesville, Warburton, and Marysville in the Yarra Valley region. Marysville itself is surrounded by rolling hills, forests, and waterfalls. Despite being devastated by bushfires in 2009, the town is steadily being rebuilt.
Incredible space with some neat “young” California redwoods. Truly beautiful forest next to the river. The water was beautiful and it was so refreshing to be in nature in this way.

Nice area! Beautiful valley with the yarra river running through. Went up to the summit of Mt Donna Buang to see the early snow, and was not disappointed 🙂
Andrew T — Google review
Yaarra Ranges National Park is a truly isolated gem, perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet away from the usual tourist crowds. The park is surrounded by dense forests, making it an ideal spot for camping and connecting with nature. There isn’t a lot to do in terms of activities, but that’s exactly what makes it special – it’s the perfect place to switch off, relax, and soak in the natural surroundings. Whether you want to sit around a campfire, go for a short walk among the tall trees, or just enjoy the fresh air, the park offers a calming escape. It’s especially enjoyable if you visit with a group. Sharing the experience of camping in such a remote and tranquil setting makes it even more memorable. If you’re looking for adventure-packed attractions, this may not be the place for you. But if relaxation, simplicity, and raw natural beauty are what you’re after, Yaarra Ranges National Park is well worth the trip.

Yarra Valley Estate, also known as Yarra Ranges Estate, is a charming venue nestled between the Yarra Valley and the Dandenong Ranges. The Locale restaurant, led by Emeri De Bortoli, offers a delightful northern Italian-inspired dining experience with locally sourced ingredients. The estate's special function center provides a magical setting for weddings and events, featuring a spacious dance floor adorned with fairy lights. Guests can enjoy the open-air chapel for ceremonies set amidst picturesque bushland surroundings.
We just had our wedding at Yarra Valley Estate and it was everything we could have dreamed! The pizzas and cheese boards were so fun and the guests loved them! The landscape and grounds are amazing! Our guests had a great time and so did we! Maya went above and beyond to make everything look incredible! Even when I had run out of inspiration, she just said she ‘would do it how it looked best’ and it did!!! We had so made some changes to the run sheet last minute to make space for sunset photos and the venue were so happy to be flexible! Thanks for making our day completely perfect and unforgettable! We were not the only ones who will remember the joy of the day! Thanks so much for making it so easy and wonderful!

A Magical & Welcoming Venue – Yarra Valley Estate We had the joy of celebrating our daughter’s first birthday at Yarra Valley Estate, and it was an unforgettable, fairy tale experience. From day one, Maya was absolutely incredible, managing the event from start to finish with such professionalism, warmth, and care. She made us and our guests feel completely at home, and her calm, composed presence gave us full confidence throughout the celebration. A heartfelt thank you to Louise, the owner of the estate, for going above and beyond to accommodate our vision. Ours was an Indian cultural event, and she showed immense adaptability and openness, ensuring that every detail reflected our needs while blending beautifully with the Estate’s charm. Her thoughtfulness and commitment to making it special did not go unnoticed. The venue itself is a hidden gem; ideal for bringing people together. With accommodation spread across the Falcon Wing and a few cozy cottages, our guests could enjoy both comfort and community. The lounge spaces, fire pit, and serene surroundings created the perfect atmosphere for connection and celebration. But the true crown jewel is the events venue; elegant, spacious, and surrounded by nature. It offered the perfect stage for our little girl’s milestone, and we couldn’t have asked for more. If you're looking for a place that combines beauty, flexibility, and heartfelt hospitality, Yarra Valley Estate ticks every box. Thank you, Maya and Louise, for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime.

We spent a weekend at this venue for a planning retreat with our cohousing community, and it proved to be a wonderful choice. From the outset, Maya provided outstanding support in the lead-up to our stay. We really felt all our requests were heard and accommodated. A minor hiccup on arrival was swiftly resolved by John—both were incredibly responsive and helpful. The facilities were spotless and the setting itself was a highlight: surrounded by beautiful trees and a tranquil atmosphere that made it easy to focus and unwind. We had exclusive use of an entire wing with 14 rooms and a spacious communal area, which was perfect for group sessions and downtime. The separate cottage was ideal for the two families with children, offering a bit of extra space and privacy. Although our schedule was packed, we did manage to enjoy the sauna, which was a real treat. The kitchen was a bit tight for our group’s needs, but with some coordination, we made it work. It would've been a bonus if the dishwasher was available for us to use. The rooms were very comfortable, though a few additions—like a kettle, a small fridge, and a cozy chair—would have made them even better for moments of quiet retreat. Overall, it was a peaceful and well-equipped venue that supported our weekend beautifully. We'd happily return.

We were married at Yarra Valley Estate in March this year. The wedding and the venue were everything we hoped for. The bushland setting provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony. The reception space created such a relaxed and welcoming vibe, with plenty of room for guests to mingle both indoors and out on the deck. The mix of tables and couches was a brilliant touch. The on-site accommodation was also a huge hit—guests loved the common areas and the chance to connect before and after the event. The food was fantastic. The menu of slow cooked meats, wholesome salads and roasted vegetables was tailored to meet what we wanted. Everyone loved it. Guests are still letting us know how much they enjoyed everything. Especially the lamb!! Our day would not have been the same without the professionalism, care and dedication of our wedding coordinator, Maya. From the moment we met her, she completely understood our vision and helped bring it to life with creativity, honesty, and clear communication. Despite a few staffing changes leading up to the day, Maya always made us feel confident that everything was under control. Every meeting left us feeling reassured and excited. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to any future couples—she’s trustworthy, reliable, and a pleasure to work with. All of the staff on the day were wonderful—warm, professional, and attentive. Everything flowed beautifully (shoutout to Jake, who was also quietly on top of everything on the day, keeping things running smoothly and whisking us around for sunset photos).

We recently held The Elevation Company’s signature event, The Power Of You, at The Yarra Valley Estate and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond – the event manager was attentive and efficient, the owner warm and welcoming, and every member of the front-of-house team and kitchen staff contributed to a truly seamless experience. The food was absolutely outstanding – fresh, beautifully presented, and tailored perfectly to our event needs. The chefs clearly take great pride in their work. As for the venue itself – the grounds and facilities are stunning. There’s something incredibly grounding and inspiring about being in such beautiful natural surroundings, and every space was immaculate and thoughtfully laid out to support connection, creativity, and calm. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting or team. Highly recommended for events, retreats, or any gathering where quality, care, and a touch of magic matter.

We held a conference with our Board and Directors at the lovely Yarra Valley Estate. We enjoyed two tranquil nights in the Harrier room and held our conference in the magnificent Garden Room. The food, staff and surroundings were truly spectacular. It didn't feel like work at all. Absolutely loved it and will definitely book our next work event there again. 5 Stars all round!!

We highly recommend Yarra Valley Estate for a wonderful staff conference venue. They were so helpful along the journey from our initial inquiry all the way through to the event itself! The beautiful grounds gave us lots of opportunity to connect with nature, go for walks and enjoy the outdoors. The accomodation was clean, warm and comfortable with all the facilities we needed. There was plenty of food so we didn't go hungry!! And the staff were wonderful at mealtimes and especially for our social event on the first night. The conference space was beautiful, with large glass windows that provided a backdrop of trees and beautiful views of the property. Thanks to Maya, John and Louise and the YVE Staff for providing us with an opportunity to create wonderful memories and personal development with our staff.

We had an enjoyable weekend here with our family and friends — good space and facilities. However, we couldn’t recommend it as the post-checkout experience was terrible — the venue levied a ridiculous cleaning charge (despite no cleaning supplies provided) and when we disputed it they ignored us and charged it anyway.

Scenic Railroads
Puffing Billy Railway is a historic steam train from 1900 that offers open-air carriages and scenic routes within the Dandenong Ranges near Melbourne. It's Australia's oldest surviving steam train and takes passengers on a journey from Belgrave to Gembrook, showcasing the lush landscapes of the Dandenong Ranges. The ride includes passing over bridges, through tunnels, and by charming country towns, providing a nostalgic experience for locals and an off-the-beaten-path adventure for tourists.
My family experienced incredible emotions on this train. It was amazing! We saw lots of animals. Many people with smiles! For the kids, it was like a fairytale, very magical! The whole staff was incredibly kind! The only thing that upset me was that you need to book one to two months in advance! But it's worth it, and I would do it again! recommend it to everyone for the Puffing Billy Railway.

Had an amazing time yesterday at the puffing Billy steam train ride from Belgrave to Gembrook return It was a beautiful sunny day and the landscape and scenery was spectacular ..Almost like our train ride in Switzerland . The steam train was beautiful and it takes you back in time to the year 1900. I was a proud Victorian and was glad the puffing Billy stood the test of time The staff were all so pleasant and. Happy to be serving you . You could see that they love their job , especially our carriage attendant Vicky . We did this train ride when our daughter was 2. She is now 31. So it was a beautiful walk down memory lane .

Puffing Billy Railway – A Journey Through Time and Nature I recently had the opportunity to experience the Puffing Billy Railway, and it was truly a unique and memorable adventure. Travelling through the lush landscapes of the Dandenong Ranges on this historic steam train felt like stepping back in time, an experience that blends nostalgia, beauty, and a sense of connection with Victoria’s heritage. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff’s enthusiasm made the journey even more enjoyable. From the gentle rhythm of the train to the breathtaking scenery along the way, every moment was thoughtfully preserved and authentically Australian. It reminded me that sometimes, the best experiences are those that slow us down and let us appreciate history, nature, and the simple joy of the journey itself.

Took a ride on a chilly, rainy spring day, the first leg to Emerald was freezing, but the return trip was perfect, so we got to sit on the railing and really feel the wind in our faces. It’s fun for kids and adults who want to unleash their inner child, though don’t expect jaw-dropping scenery, mostly forest, some backyards, a tall wooden bridge, and locals waving as you pass. The real magic? The steam, the hissing, the smell of the old train. It’s pure nostalgia, an old-school steam train experience that’s more about the journey than the views. 🚂

Puffing Billy requires advance booking, the ticket can purchase online at the official Puffing Billy Railway website. I had a great time on the Puffing Billy Railway. It was such a fun and memorable trip, especially sitting with my legs dangling out. The scenery through the forests and mountains offered amazing views.

2025/10 Puffing Billy Railway 上車坐在面對前進方向右側,風景好 The Puffing Billy Railway is one of Australia’s most famous and historic steam railways, located in the Dandenong Ranges, about 40 kilometers east of Melbourne. Originally built in 1900 to serve local communities and transport goods such as timber and potatoes, it is now a popular tourist attraction that offers a nostalgic journey through beautiful forests and fern gullies. The railway operates heritage steam trains that travel from Belgrave to Lakeside or Gembrook, passing through scenic landscapes, mountain villages, and iconic wooden trestle bridges. Passengers can enjoy the unique experience of sitting on the open-sided carriages’ window ledges with their legs dangling outside—something that has become a beloved tradition. Today, Puffing Billy is run mainly by volunteers and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. It is not only a fun ride but also a living museum that preserves Australia’s early railway history
Paul W — Google review
A historical locomotive train and it amazed me to be able to see up close how it works, both before departure and after arriving at Lakeside station. I feel the ride to Lakeside is the sweet spot as it takes about 45 minutes one way. The wooden trestle bridge section is the highlight of the journey. Only when I was on the train I realised many people actually drive to that spot just to photograph the passing train. Many people waved as the train passed by. We also enjoyed the forest scenery in spring and even spotted some rabbits and what looked like either deer or kangaroo. There is not much to do at Lakeside if you are not eating, but time passed quickly. We took a slow stroll near the lake and visit the small museum. Tickets sell out fast so you need to book well in advance. A must-try experience at least once when you are in Melbourne.
Leh P — Google review
An experience to have legs hanging out over the edge as you ride on the train. So lovely that homes along the journey take the time to decorate extra items to entertain and put a smile on faces as we go past. Love that staff dress in original days clothing and give us friendly waves as we depart. Good experience.

What a wonderful place for a 3-course lunch! My wife and I had an amazing date booked for her birthday, where we were privately flown in by helicopter to this stunning spot. The scenery was breathtaking, and the interior was very classy yet quaint and cosy. Once we sat down, we had the charcuterie board to share, steak with crispy potatoes for main, and a cheeseboard to finish things off. Every mouthful was delicious, and the wines paired beautifully. 10/10 highly recommended!

What a great experience! We stopped by for a tasting, and the lovely lady who served us was so knowledgeable and friendly, walking us through everything. The wine is absolutely delicious, so moreish, and very reasonably priced for the quality. We loved that you can also buy by the glass, grab a platter, and sit outside to enjoy the beautiful grounds. The excellent service definitely made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Best winery that I have visited so far in terms of wine tasting at the cellar door, food at restaurant and customer service. We had a visit last week in a group of 4 plus a dog. Lady at the cellar door was very knowledgable and generous, we were offered even more than 4 wines to taste which is what you would usually get there when doing wine tasting. Food upstairs was excellent, fresh, tasty and very well presented. Gentleman at the restaurant was also very friendly and welcoming with good knowledge around both food and wines they had on the menu. We had the best time at this place sitting outside with our dog pouring wine and enjoying deliciuos food. We hope good service continus and we will definitely go back for more visits and have already introduced this winery to couple of friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Perfect Anniversary at De Bortoli – Thanks to Scott! My partner and I visited De Bortoli Winery in the Yarra Valley to celebrate our anniversary, and it was truly the perfect day. From the breathtaking views to the exceptional service, everything exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed and hosted by Scott, who absolutely made our experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the wine tasting fun and engaging. His passion for the wines and the region really shone through — we learned so much while laughing and enjoying every moment. The wines were outstanding — smooth, full of character, and beautifully presented. The Noble One and Pinot Noir were our personal favourites. De Bortoli is not only visually stunning, but the care and attention from the team, especially Scott, made it a memorable and intimate experience. It was the perfect way to celebrate our special day, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for any occasion — or just because you deserve a beautiful day out!

Beechworth Bakery Healesville is a must-visit destination for families and travelers. Established in 1984, this popular bakery chain offers an exciting array of freshly made sandwiches, wraps, rolls, cakes, pastries, and pies. It's also a great spot for all-day breakfast options and delicious coffee. The delightful atmosphere makes it perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
Randomly came in and we were surprised how big this place is! Plenty of seating. Lots of food to choose. We had pie and scone and they were all lovely. There’s self serve station which we thought really handy. The hot chocolate was not overly sweet and came in good size so we appreciated it. Definitely come back when we are around the area.

We were supposed to have dessert her but ended up having lunch as well. We had their toasties and foccaccias, and I was particularly blown away by the chicken avocado foccaccia. The coffee was good and we enjoyed the warm sofa in front of the faux fireplace. Wheelchair access and clean toilets mean that we will definitely go back. Besides this, we found parking easily and are planning to go back in the warm weather to enjoy their outdoor set-up, which was eye-catching. Being a popular stop over for many people going up and down the mountain, the bakery has a helpful information post for tourists who need to know more about the region. The staff could use some training on polite and prompt service.

Extremely busy and loud as all heck, sit outside for sure. We had the Beechworth "steak" pie (it's a mince pie, why you don't me like that) and the Broccoli pie (Camen Sandiego was unable to locate the Broccoli). Both pies were average. We also had the jelly slice (star of the show) and the vanilla slice (so sticky i thought it might come in handy for a quick fix on roofing). We had the ice coffee (it was fine) and a thick shake (made with.....soft serve?) Both were fine. The place is so busy the tables aren't being cleaned and cleared, and I get it.... buuuut.... yeah. All in all a totally average experience.

My husband and I took our 1 year old daughter out to Beechworth bakery for lunch today and were beyond disgusted with the service. It look very busy and as we walked in seating was limited that would comfortably accomodate our pram. We saw a note on the table to scan and just order online rather than wait in the queue. So we thought it was easier to find a suitable seat and then place our order: It wasn’t very clear once we place our order how we were notified that the food would be ready. So we asked a passing staff member who said you should get a text message to the number you booked with but if you haven’t heard anything in 15 minutes just go up and ask. My husband went to the counter when he was pretty much abused by the manger/ ? Owner that was on. Stating she never received the order despite our proof of purchase and that we shouldn’t have used the online service. He asked why is it advertised on your tables if we shouldn’t use it. To which she replied they intentially put the expected wait times as 45 minutes to deter people from using the service. Despite ordering dine in coffee in a mug she also gave us small take away coffees and when my husband questioned it she said you can only order take away online… again showing her proof of what we actually ordered being a fine in coffee in a mug..and the QR code on the table literally saying dine-in or take away… Being locals we have been coming here since it opened and couldn’t be more disappointed with how we were treated, literally berated for using a service you advertised!

I like their food! The Danish pastries and carrot cake are simply delicious. My husband can’t get enough of the jam donut! I’m ok with it getting a bit crowded, especially during peak season—that's all part of the cozy café vibe, right? Plus, I enjoy the lovely country setting; spotting the birds and catching a glimpse of the creek at the back is nice.

Another nature’s gift to human kind. In the middle of Victoria you can still see these amazing set of redwood trees. There is a creek if you go down below a nice view and place to enjoy with family. Before you enter the forest there is big picnic area to sit and relax or have a little game with kids. Please make sure you have your own bins to take any rubbish with you and also there are no toilets in the area .

There are more than 1,400–1,500 Redwood trees (Sequoia sempervirens), some reaching heights of around 50–55 meters. It’s not just Redwoods — there are also mixed plantations of Bishop Pine and Douglas Fir. When you step into the forest, you can feel the air becoming cooler and quieter, with sunlight filtering softly through the tall trees, creating a magical and peaceful atmosphere. If you wander along Cement Creek or down to where the creek meets the Yarra River, you’ll find stunning native scenery filled with ferns, eucalyptus trees, and birds, making it an enchanting place to explore.

The Redwood Forest is a strikingly beautiful spot, known for its perfectly aligned, towering trees that create an almost illusory effect when you look down one of the rows — it makes for incredible photos from any angle. The structured layout and sheer size of the trees are genuinely marvellous. Parking is plentiful and conveniently located right next door, making access easy. If you wander a little further, you’ll find a peaceful creek, adding a lovely bit of variety to the visit. Whether you’re after a serene picnic spot, a scenic pit stop, or just looking to capture some stunning photos, it’s a place well worth stopping for.

Pictures help and you get the general gist of it, but you can’t get the amazing ‘awe’ of this place unless you visit. Once u walk thru the Redwood Forest, there are many paths that lead to Cement Creek. They are very well maintained (as of this post), and lots of them. Overall a beautiful place to spend 1-2 hours.

Rayners Orchard offers tractor fruit-tasting tours through their lush stone fruit groves, where visitors can pick peaches, plums, and nectarines. During cherry season, a trip to Cherry Hill Orchards is also available for cherry picking. The orchard hosts daily tractor tours for fruit picking except on Christmas Day. Additionally, the venue provides event hosting services with positive feedback from customers who have organized parties there.
This was a lovely farm to visit but it was a bit expensive considering you have to pay for the fruit you pick as an additional cost to the $45 entrance ticket… With that being said, the fruit it amazing, especially the lemonade lemon! and it’s nice to feed the animals at the end of the tour.

Absolutely loved our visit to Rayner’s Orchard! Our family (including our kids) had a wonderful time exploring the orchard just outside Melbourne. The tractor tour around the property was such a fun and memorable experience — special thanks to Noah, who drove us around and kindly introduced us to all the different types of fruits in season. The fruit picking was a highlight! We got to try and pick fresh seasonal fruits straight from the trees — the blood oranges were amazing. It was truly one of the best outdoor activities for kids — they had so much fun and learned a lot too! After the orchard tour, we stayed for lunch and were warmly served by Kylie and Amelia. The service was excellent, and the whole experience from start to finish was just perfect. Thank you Rayner’s Orchard for such a beautiful and refreshing day. We’ll definitely come back again!

I had a wonderful time visiting this beautiful place! The truck ride was such a fun experience, and our guide was fantastic — they explained so many interesting things about the different fruits grown here. It happened to be orange season during my visit, so I got to try several varieties. My favorite was a unique orange-and-lime mix (I’m not sure of its exact name, but it was delicious!). This spot is perfect for a relaxed day out with kids, families, or really people of all ages. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys nature, fresh fruit, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Awesome variety of fruits! We had a fun time at Rayner’s Orchard and the guide was humorous and helpful - letting us try a variety of fruits including clementine mandarin, blood orange, macadamia nuts, apples, limes, etc. they also had a range of cute animals in a small farm area. It was a great experience for the family and the fruits you picked (you can choose which varieties you like or not pick at all) will be charged at $7/kg. Overall recommended!

Went to the cafe with my three year old. She loved seeing the peacocks! The food was fantastic, the homemade butter chicken pie was so tasty, much better than a usual bakery pie. And the hot chips came with a peach relish that was absolutely delicious, and went surprisingly well with the hot chips! We’ll definitely be coming back.

We had a great time doing the fruit picking tour. The kids loved the tractor ride. Being able to get on and off the tractor was great for variety in activities. We were able to sample approx 10 different types of fruit during the tour and they were all delicious. Definitely taste better than the shops. Will definitely be coming back in six months this time to sample the different seasons worth of fruit!

Warratina Lavender Farm, located at 105 Quayle Road Wandin Yallock, Victoria 3139, offers a serene experience surrounded by beautiful lavender fields. While there isn't a designated play area, the main draw is the opportunity to capture stunning photographs of the lavender blooms. Even towards the end of the season in February, visitors can enjoy free entrance and still find pockets of blooming lavender with a fragrant atmosphere that attracts butterflies and bees.
We had the pleasure of visiting Warratina Lavender Farm on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, Annmarie, the owner, made us feel so welcome. She’s incredibly passionate about her farm and took the time to share the history, challenges, and detailed process of harvesting lavender. Her talk was so informative and inspiring, and you can really feel her love for what she does. The $15 entry fee was more than worth it – it included the fascinating tour and a cup of lavender ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. If you visit between November and December, you’ll see the fields in full bloom, but even in January, when most of the lavender has already been harvested, Annmarie’s stories and the serene atmosphere make the visit worthwhile. Don't miss the lavender scones—they’re a must-try! Plus, the gift shop is filled with high-quality, unique items that make perfect souvenirs. Everything on the farm feels crafted with care, and it’s clear that Annmarie’s dedication shines through in every detail. If you're looking for a peaceful, educational, and delicious experience, Warratina Lavender Farm is the place to be!

I could die a happy girl in the lavender fields here. The smell is intoxicating, and the products in the shop are really great. The girls who work there are super friendly and helpful. There’s a cafe in the back, but also we happened to be there on a day they had a doggie event so everyone was out with their pups and there were vendors selling all sorts of trinkets and things, plus a handful of food trucks to boot. There was plenty of lavender to meander even though we came late in the season after they harvested a lot of it. Definitely worth the visit. We actually spent more time here than we originally intended, and I don’t regret it one bit.

A very good place to visit. There is a restaurant and a separate gift shop. It has got tours in the small factory as well but you have to pay for it. We tried lavender ice cream which comes in little cups. It was a bit too sweet and although it is a small amount of ice cream, it's hard to finish it because of its sweetness. I guess you need to have that sweet flavour to go with the lavender taste. Anyway, it was energising and worth trying. There are other products such as candles, toys, honey, mustard, fresh lavender, lavender plants etc. I didn't go to the restaurant so I don't really know about it. We had a relaxing time there.

A Must-Visit Destination - Warratina Lavender Farm I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Warratina Lavender Farm, and I must say, it's a true gem! The farm offers ample parking, making it easily accessible for all visitors. Photography enthusiasts will be in heaven, as the picturesque lavender fields provide a stunning backdrop for capturing memorable moments. With an affordable ticket price of $15 per adult and free admission for kids under 6 years, it's an excellent value for families and groups. The on-site cafe is a lovely addition, offering a perfect spot to relax and unwind amidst the beautiful surroundings. The best time to visit is from November to January, with December being an ideal month for photography. If you're interested in witnessing the harvesting process, plan your visit from December onwards. Overall, I highly recommend Warratina Lavender Farm to anyone seeking a unique and enchanting experience. Don't miss out on this incredible destination! 😄

Warratina Lavender Farm is a serene escape and a delightful destination for anyone looking to unwind amidst nature’s beauty. Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, this farm offers a unique experience that combines relaxation, great food, and stunning views. The highlight of our visit was walking through the gorgeous lavender fields. The soothing fragrance of the lavender, coupled with the scenic backdrop of rolling hills, made it a sensory delight. It’s a fantastic spot for photography, and the peaceful ambiance feels like a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The café is another gem, offering a menu that creatively incorporates lavender into their dishes. We tried their lavender scones with lavender jam and cream—absolutely divine! The lavender ice cream was also a standout, with a subtle floral flavor that was both refreshing and unique. The staff were warm and welcoming, eager to share insights about lavender farming and the various products available in their shop. Speaking of which, the gift shop is a treasure trove of handmade lavender goods, from essential oils and soaps to candles and dried bouquets—a perfect way to take a piece of the farm home. Warratina Lavender Farm is more than just a visit; it’s an experience that soothes the mind and soul. Whether you’re a lavender enthusiast or simply looking for a tranquil outing, this place is a must-see. We’ll definitely be back!

A lovely little lavender farm. Lots of adorable butterflies and bees fluttering around and working hard on the farm. The lavender ice-cream was fragrant, refreshing and delicious. The staff here host an interesting informative talk/demonstration every 30 minutes on the history of the lavender farm and the process of collecting and drying the lavender. There is also a cottage tea room here that serves light meals. There is a beautiful little garden on site as well. The garden has many pretty flowers and a serene atmosphere.

A fantastic lavender farm to visit! Beautiful scenery and dogs are welcome! Tour was great and very informative, and the owner was absolutely lovely! Great venue to visit! Coffee and cakes were welcome, especially those with a 'hint' of lavender in (which was actually quite nice!). Plenty of seating in the shade for the cafe and dogs are welcome there outside too! You get an ice cream (lavender flavoured) with the tour too.

Seville Water Play Park is a popular free municipal splash park in Melbourne, offering a powerful line of jets that are best suited for slightly older kids. Unlike other splash parks, visitors can expect to get completely wet here. Additionally, Parkys Water Park offers an inflatable water obstacle course and is open to all, not just guests of the caravan park. It's a great destination during hot weather. Another option is the largest free water playground in Melbourne, Seville water play park.
The water play is loads of fun for all ages, the water is chlorinated and runs until 8pm there is toilets and water taps, shaded areas although the splash zone is not shaded. Great free entertainment 👌

Been to this place a couple times now, it's always quite fun. There is the water play area, a playground, toilets and plenty of shady areas for families to drop a picnic mat. We've mostly just played in the watplay areas and walked across the road to Woolsworth to get some cold meat, salad and rolls for lunch.

Small but fun water play park. Not as big and nowhere near as much equipment as the one in Warburton but usually also much less crowded. Limited shade in the water play area but there's a few gazebo-type shade covers for a bit of respite. Play area with some equipment adjacent. Bathroom available.

This is another cool water place and I reckon this is the biggest FREE water playgrounds in Melbourne. The kids had so much fun here. It was 37 degrees so hell yea I joined in to cool down as well!! Seville water play park is a long stretch of water play which isn't shaded so make sure you bring a hat. There are 2 blocks of toilets on each end of the park with family showers. A few shaded pergolas so bring a mat to sit on. Undercover picnic benches, BBQs on site. Ample shaded areas for picnics on grass. If you forget to bring food, don't worry, there's a woolies right across the park. There's also a huge dry playground with lots of things to do, love the sand pit and so many swings. Seriously this is heaven for kids.. And adults too! We brought homemade burgers spent a good few hours here. Parking is pretty easy!

Kinglake National Park spans across 57,400 acres and offers a range of forested hiking trails, picnic spots, campsites and wildlife. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the cold yet beautiful area while exploring the park's diverse terrain. The main picnic area is often busy but there are quieter areas to discover where lyrebirds can be found. The park also features Masons Falls which adds to its natural beauty.
Kinglake National Park is a perfect weekend getaway. The scenic forest drive, well-maintained barbecue facilities, and ample parking make it a convenient spot for a relaxing day out. The peaceful woodland trails offer a refreshing hike, with the sounds of birds and flowing water creating a calming atmosphere. A great place to unwind and recharge in nature!

My wife and I love hiking and came over to Kinglake for the first time. We loved it! The track we did was not too hard for us, but we are used to hiking frequently so could be challenging to others. It has some steep hills. It has a beautiful waterfall into a gorgeous canyon. Plenty of wildlife and native plants and trees. There was heaps of parking spaces. Overall it is a great place to get some exercise and to relax with nature! Definitely recommended

Good tracks through the bush. Good picnic and BBQ facilities. Mason waterfall a little dry, Mt Sugarloaf summit disappointing with only a small view of the city.

We visited Kinglake Park — there’s a parking area available, which is convenient. The trail has two paths: one entrance and one exit. I thought we’d be able to see the waterfall up close, but from the path we took, it was only visible from a distance. Also, there was a fallen tree across the track, so you need to be a bit careful while walking. Still, it was a nice nature walk overall!🌲🌳🪾

A beautiful green environment with a waterfall, lots of trees, and birds. Several picnic spots for enjoyment and also there was several pathways to see the waterfall. There's also a long walking track, like a small hike. Due to summer may be, the waterfall had less water, and the surroundings were a bit dry. Still, it was a nice experience overall.

Serene, gorgeous trails. If your feeling adventurous go the wallaby trail it curves to mason falls, a fair walk but well maintained. Driving, be weary a couple of BIG pot holes. Picnic area beautiful spacious for many family bbq's. Toilets were pristine condition for a park. Well done. Take Mason falls track for a short walk to shallow water cascading down rocks. Kids loved it. Delite day out in nature.

Yarra Valley Railway is a heritage railway located at the Healesville Railway Station complex, which was constructed in 1902. The station building features extensive passenger waiting facilities and intact toilets, along with other associated structures such as a lamp room, goods shed, water tower, and turntable. This site holds historical significance as it catered specifically for peak holiday traffic and reflects the development of Healesville as a tourist destination.
Was great to finally get a ride on here. We were booked on when it first started, but the day before our trip, it was cancelled to fix a problem, we missed out a mnth ago by 5mins, so it was great to pass through on Sunday, and saw station opened, so we got tickets to go on the 3pm run. Last one of the day. Got my son a Vic rail t-shirt. We got 2 t-shirts a month ago instead of a ride, and a bag, tea towel etc. A bit of everything they had really🤣, but worth it.

They charged full price when they do not take you all the way into the tunnel. They have limited times they run, mostly in school holidays, so pick your times when you’re going to go. Great little hidden gem while you’re in town, unique to Healesville. Great people who run it.

Lake Mountain, located just 21 kilometers east of Marysville, is Melbourne's nearest alpine resort. The mountain summit reaches 1,433 meters and offers 2,400 hectares of skiable terrain during the snow season. There are also 37 kilometers of ski trails and 3 toboggan slopes. In the off-season, visitors can enjoy activities like biking and hiking while admiring the vibrant wildflowers that bloom in summer.
That was my first time going to a snow mountain, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience. The moment I laid my eyes on the majestic white peaks, I felt a rush of excitement and wonder. The air was crisp and cold, making me feel fully alive. As I stepped onto the glistening snow, I couldn't help but feel a childlike joy bubbling up inside me. It was a whole new world, unlike anything I had ever experienced before. The landscape was adorned with a pristine blanket of snow, creating a picturesque scene that seemed straight out of a postcard. With each step I took, the snow crunched beneath my boots, and I couldn't resist the urge to make a snowball and toss it playfully at my friend. Laughter echoed through the mountains as we engaged in a friendly snowball fight, forgetting all our worries and embracing the moment. We decided to try skiing, and as I strapped on the skis, a mix of anticipation and nervousness filled my heart. With a little guidance, I found my balance and glided down the slopes, feeling an exhilarating rush of adrenaline. The wind whipped against my face, and the sensation of speed made me feel alive and free. As the day went on,

A great drive with winding road through jungle uphill makes different experience but it was amazing journey. The entrance fee for the Lake mountain 60$ little expensive but many people visit there. Restaurant clean but expensive than normal. Breathtaking views of the area. Not so pleasant experience for me.
ていさです — Google review
Went up to lake mountain for a snow trip and was extremely disappointed. It’s now very small and controlled. Extremely expensive and not worth the drive. There are 3 set areas for tobogganing, which is $40 per toboggan, and you can’t share a toboggan with anyone else. This wasn’t monitored very well and they passed out toboggans to everyone entering the area which was disappointing. You used to be able to come up and go as you please, with massive areas filled with snow. But now it’s sectioned out with only one ‘play area’ which is just soft snow. Very disappointing with all the changes they’ve made. The cafe was actually quite nice, and super big, with quite a lot of variety. Only thing they didn’t have was iced drinks, but that makes sense I’m just a crazy person! The staff all around were lovely and very helpful. Won’t be returning.

First ever snow run.what an amusing place to be with family.kids were delighted with the fun we had here.close to Melbourne and reasonably priced.you gotta be really careful with the road conditions.narrow and winding roads with ice and snow.
Nabindra T — Google review
Nice place for a snow trip if you are planning your trip well. Do not recommend the weekends on school holidays. And the management is also doesn’t have much idea to control crowd. Minimal number of shuttle buses from the parking to the resort which will make you stand & wait in the extreme weather for 20-30 mins. Up at the resort facilities are good , kids will enjoy the place and the cafe serves some hot finger food as well. Take entry tickets well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Jesto J — Google review
Amazing experience a lot of fun for kids
RMZ L — Google review
Lake Mountain offers a stunning winter experience with beautiful alpine scenery and plenty of snow for families to enjoy. However, I was extremely disappointed with how the pricing is structured. After already paying a hefty $60 entrance fee per vehicle, I was shocked to find that access to the toboggan area required an additional ticket—charged per person. You can’t just hire a few toboggans to share among the group, which feels incredibly unfair and exploitative, especially for families. To make matters worse, they do not allow store-bought toboggans, claiming they are unsafe and prone to breakage. I’ve used my own toboggans for years without any issues, and I’ve seen countless others do the same. This rule feels less about safety and more like a blatant attempt to force visitors to rent their overpriced gear. It’s frustrating when an outing that should be fun and affordable becomes a cash grab at every turn. While the snow play area itself is enjoyable and the staff are polite, the layers of added costs and restrictive rules really put a damper on the experience. For the price paid, Lake Mountain should offer better value and flexibility to its visitors.

Innocent Bystander is a contemporary and laid-back local winery in Healesville, Melbourne. It features an airy restaurant, cafe, and wine tasting bar. The venue is known for being kid-friendly and offers a relaxed atmosphere for families. With its modern Australian cuisine, it's a great option for those looking to enjoy good food and wine while visiting the Yarra Valley region.
We kicked off a few days away at Healesville with lunch at Innocent Bystander. Never had a bad meal here, where the menu is usually imaginative and delicious. So, our lunch: fried truffled polenta chips, wood fired flat bread (really good) and hummus, ricotta persimmon and pomegranate with capoccollo (an absolute stand-out so refreshing and nicely partners the flat bread), the braised cheek and casarecce, and the free range pork belly. This was a good combination, and it was a great lunch rounded off with the fun dessert cones…we shared four with our coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed, and impressed with our lunch with a couple of the Innocent Bystander wines. Reasonably quiet on a Friday and parking was no issue. We did make a booking but could have walked in but you just wouldn’t know. Staff were great, friendly and engaging. So, we were leaving Healesville today Sunday, and decided to try Innocent Bystander again on the way out of town just because we were so impressed two days before. Casual easy dining with great food and a few drinks for Sunday lunch was a perfect idea but we had no booking. And, there were no tables…doh…but we said that we were happy to wait twenty minutes and were actually seated in five…the staff are really so good. Today’s lunch: Fried barramundi wings crispy with lots of meat … very nice, polenta chips again-just couldn’t help having them again and likewise with the ricotta- so good. The pickled sardines are good if you are a sardine person, and we filled it all out with a delicious cacciatori pizza. Again, well satisfied. The place was busy, the staff industrious but friendly, and another great lunch was had. Worth checking out. We will be back again.

Had a really nice dinner here. Big dining space with lots of seating. Servers were super nice. The food was very nice, we liked some more than others: zucchini salad was amazing (!!), and the steak and chicken both very nice. Would pass on the truffle chips if we returned. Overall had a great time and would definitely recommend this place if you’re in Healesville.

Not a bad place , would we rush back no……. For starters we rolled up at 5.35pm just for a couple pizzas and drinks …. We got served right away as there were only 4 tables being used the rest were vacant , when seated we asked for a specific table ( tall table) we were told no we couldn’t as there all book d out from 6pm……. So we order our 2 pizzas ( pork fennel and prosciutto) both came very quick both had very nice pizza bases and crust was very nice in regards to the toppings on the prosciutto it was very wet and saucy the cheese was cold and Tomato sauce/paste was very plain , the pork and fennel there was bugger all sausage and no wow factor , the drinks we both had were very nice by the time we left the table we wanted was not occupied and only 2 other table were occupied by the time we left so why couldn’t we have the table we asked for ? In my opinion the pizzas down the road are a lot better and a lot better customer service.

We had a really good experience for lunch on a Sunday. It was four of us and we ordered the meter of charcuterie as well as two pizzas and a salad. We were hungry and the food didn’t disappoint. It was delicious! Our server was awesome as well. When I couldn’t decide between two wines, she recommended a flight and I ordered a rose as well (which I normally wouldn’t order, but it was crisp and dry). It was a perfect recommendation!

We shared 2 pizzas and a paella between 4 adults, and it was a good amount of food. Everything tasted great, and the wine tasting (5-6 varieties) was gratis for having eaten at the restaurant ($5 otherwise). Inflation has hit the menu prices, but that's true of just about every restaurant at this point. The toilets are mostly unisex, which is a bit unusual.

Absolutely loved our time at Innocent Bystander. The complementary wine tasting was a great addition and we took home a bottle of the shiraz cienna. Highly recommend the sweet and spicy nuts at the bar to go with it. We also loved the food here. The paella con carne was super flavourful with chicken and chorizo, lamb pizza was a delight and the French fries with the truffled pecorino was a highlight! The ambiance was very cozy with the fireplace and the staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks for having us!

Innocent Bystander was a very unique spot for lunch. The wine came in Erlenmeyer Flasks which was a cool thing for the tasting. The wine was good but not the best we had in the region, however, the food and dessert was absolutely delicious! This more than made it worth it as well as the amazing indoor area they had. We’d definitely come back for food and drinks if we were nearby.

The food here is not bad, we had pizza and pasta and honestly they were quite good. We paired it with a glass of wine and also som oysters for starter. The oysters are fresh and decently sized. I will recommend to make reservations before coming. And although the vineyard looks bare during winter, the outdoor is still great for photos

We had an incredible anniversary lunch at Zonzo Estate. We ordered the sharing menu, which was delicious, incredibly filling and definitely worth the price. A special shout out to Hudson, whose positive energy was radiating. He was welcoming and made the experience an enjoyable one.

First place on my list whenever going for a winery day trip. Beautiful views, amazing services, well maintenance overall, pizza and pasta are highly recommended. Just one hour driving from Melbourne. Close to chocolate factory and plants nursery - worthy to pass by after the meal. Some charges were taken from credit card for table reserves.

I really enjoyed my experience. Hudson is the man! He made it pleasant enough for me to remember before even the food was served. For those who enjoy seafood ISH taste, I will totally recommend the anchovies pizza! I was kinda sad that my last bite :') The pork sausage pizza was decent. Strong with herbs taste. Hudson, thanks for connecting and relating to customers! ❤️❤️❤️

We had such a fantastic experience at Zonzo Estate! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were just as impressive, everything was fresh, well presented, and full of flavour. The atmosphere was beautiful and added to the whole experience. A special shoutout to Hudson, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His attentiveness, warm personality, birthday song and genuine care made our visit extra memorable. Thanks for making it such a wonderful day, we’ll definitely be back!

Coldstream Brewery is a charming tavern with a cozy atmosphere and rustic exposed brickwork. It offers an array of home-brewed beers, ciders, sharing plates, and steaks. The brewery is famous for its $13 beer tasting paddle paired with generous servings of delicious pub food, providing a great value experience. Situated in the Yarra Valley, it's the home of the Shivering Man and offers a chance to taste small batch beers and excellent ciders.
We had another amazing experience at Coldstream Brewery! The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh, just as always. We were served by a couple of lovely young ladies who were super friendly and had such a great attitude, really added to the whole experience. My partner and I are both locals and absolutely love this place. Whether it’s the top-notch food, the great range of drinks, or the consistently outstanding customer service, Coldstream Brewery never disappoints. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a fantastic spot to eat, drink, and relax!

Pizza was totally yum with fresh melted balls of mozzeralla & tasty olives. Beers were nice. Good price all round. Loved reading the Shivering Man story. It's nice to hear a great Aussie dream coming to fruition. The only thing missing is a bigger bush setting venue with room for local bands. That would really put Coldstream Brewery on the bigger map. Cheers!

A great spot and the tasting paddles are a must, the highlight was the Pinot Apple Cider. The staff were very accommodating, the kitchen had just closed but they still cooked us some hot chips. Cost atmosphere as well.

Just an all round great venue! We had a booking for 16pax which they accommodated for us in the front room, but they also have a function room & an outdoor, dog friendly space. Food & drinks were delicious & very reasonably priced, generous portions & great menu selection also. Excellent craft beers & ciders on tap, tasting paddles available for both. Great atmosphere with a casual, welcoming vibe. The staff are amazing too, super friendly & attentive without being intrusive. Even their coffee is perfect! Our booking was for a birthday celebration & the bartender comped the birthday girl a glass of wine at one stage & also gave her a free bottle of the same wine after we settled our bill. It was a sweet gesture & a demonstration of just how lovely the staff are. So whether you’re looking for a function venue, a lunch or dinner or just a casual drink, I cannot recommend this brewery highly enough. I will definitely be back!

Decent spot for a luncho. Brewery burger was good, chips super crispy, slightly too salty but goes well with some sauce. Burger was probably just a bit too small for its price, but flavours are all there. Bit hard to move around in the outdoor covered area with benches, if you're running with a big table.

We came here for lunch and had a wonderful time. We had a reservation, but came a little bit earlier than expected. Luckily, they were able to seat us right away. The food was great and tasty! Friendly staff and were fast with their service. I also recommend their beer paddle to get an inside taste of their lovely beer and then order a glass of your favorite! 🍻

We were visiting The Yarra from Sydney and Giant Steps was one of our must see wineries. We sat outside in the winter sun enjoying tastings of the beautiful Chardonnay, Rose, and Pinot’s all expertly described and served to us by the lovely Laura who was extremely knowledgeable and good fun too. She enhanced our experience with her enthusiasm and professionalism. We really enjoyed the new Circle of Fifths range. Highly recommended.

Thank you Laura and Cara for an amazing wine tasting experience last Saturday. My husband booked us a last minute wine tasting and we thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the history of Giant Steps and the different vineyards. Benji looked after us and his service was second to none. His knowledge of the wines was exceptional and he was able to answer all our questions. If you enjoy fine wine, you must stop by and do a tasting at Giant Steps. Look forward to returning soon to taste the new vintages and new releases. Thanks again Benji 😊

Very nice park for a walk or run. The dam is very cool to check out from both above and below. All the trails are quite wide and easy to follow. Lots of birds and we also saw a few kangaroos. Also lots of parking and facilities easily accessible. All super close to Healesville!

Blue Hills Berries & Cherries is a lovely farm located just an hour's drive from Melbourne, offering a delightful cherry-picking experience during the spring and summer seasons. The farm features matured cherry trees with a good variety of sweet and mild-sweet cherries to pick. Visitors can enjoy strolling through the picturesque plantations and indulging in some freshly picked cherries. The friendly staff provides assistance and allows visitors to savor the locally grown Australian fruit.
Had a fantastic time at U-Pick Cherries! The staff were incredibly helpful and made the whole experience enjoyable. Parking was a breeze, and there were so many cherries on the trees – it felt like an endless supply! The food truck is a nice touch and facilities were good. Could do with more shaded seating though to get out of the sun. Don’t really recommend bringing a pram as the ground is uneven which is to be expected. Price wise, entry was less than others we compared it to and booking online was simple. Definitely recommend for a fun, enjoyable outing.
Ben L — Google review
Blue Hills Berries & Cherries offers a delightful day out for fruit lovers and families alike. We recently visited to pick cherries, and it was such a fun and rewarding experience. The orchard is well-maintained, and the cherries were fresh, juicy, and abundant. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing clear instructions on where to pick and ensuring the experience was enjoyable. The setting is beautiful, with scenic views that add to the charm of the visit. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that it can get a bit crowded during peak times, which might make it harder to find the best spots. However, it’s still a wonderful activity, and we’d definitely return for more fresh fruit and a lovely day outdoors!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience on December 2024 and the staff were very polite. The cherries are big and delicious. We also paid to bring 5 kilograms home to eat. Highly recommended for those who want Pyo.

**A Berry Good Time at Blue Hills!** ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blue Hills Cherries and Berries is a true summer delight! Plucking our own strawberries was an absolute blast, and the sweet, juicy taste was simply divine. But the real showstopper was the cherry picking experience. The orchard was brimming with ripe, dark cherries, and the satisfaction of picking them straight from the tree was unparalleled. It's a must-do for families and friends seeking a fun, wholesome outdoor activity.

Just an hour drive from the Melbourne. Good place to visit for Cherry picking. Sections of good variety of sweet as well as mild sweet cherry to pick. Decent size plantations with matured trees. There is a water catchment on the edge of the estate. The shop where you can buy cherry is a bit away from the picking spot. Check out the map location in advance for clarity. Tickets price are reasonable. Ample parking near the entrance. Make sure you purchase tickets online to avoid disappointment. Toilets available. Food truck and a small sheltered area in house. People with pram can take it but small wheel diameter will struggle. Make sure to check out the fairy garden for kids. Bonus, the scenic drive to Silvan is very soothing.

Cherry blossom is very beautiful and amazing. The staff is super friendly and nice. There is a small shop for you to buy some drinks, berry jam and some to dress up like a fairy. My kids have much fun here. They pretended to be a fairy and waved their magic wards among the cherry blossom.

Farm was really good, great views, many cherrie trees both Red and White. Frankly Cherries were smaller in sizes, not as sweet as we expected. But we enjoyed strolling through the farm and having some cherries. One experience we had was to try the sun dried cherries on the trees, it doesn’t look as good but it tastes amazing.

This is a amazing driving experience, must visit places in Victoria. It could be a very sunny day, but you enter this area its can be like misty and wet. Be sure to snap pictures, ideally take a action camera. sure you drive slow and carefully, as the roads are narrow and wet most times.

It's a stunning drive with beautiful greenery and nature. You do need to take it easy on the roads and not recommended on a wet day as it's not for the faint-hearted or those who get car sick.
Flavia — Google review
A slow drive to enjoy the scene on both side of the road. It's a pity that there are not many "strategic" places on the sides of the road to stop for more photos. Hopefully the council can do something about that. I have seen a group of people just parked their big ute on a narrow stripe on the side and walked along ON the narrow road to take photos. It was dangerous as the road is twist and turn, and the other drivers may not see them to stop or avoid them. I would suggest that best to park on the few road sides that are wide enough and safe to take photos, and not walk on the road.

Went here today to see some snow as I'm a lover of winter and snow, got to say, I loved it, enjoyed my time and saw some snow. Fresh air and crisp. Wasn't snow falling at the time I went but snow had fallen yesterday. Free parking, didn't need a chain to drive up, my car is 4wd so that helped, and free entry. Loved that because didn't have to spend so much to see free snow that falls freely.

La La Falls, located in Warburton, is a picturesque destination that offers a refreshing escape into nature. The trail to the falls is steep and challenging in some parts but features well-paved tracks for the most part. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk through the rainforest, accompanied by the soothing sound of a nearby water stream. A great spot for a hike! Though steep and challenging, it’s manageable if you have some experience with hiking on inclines. The trail is 3.2 km round trip, and your pace will determine how quickly you complete it. There aren’t many benches along the way, but you can always find a comfy rock to rest on if needed. highly recommend!

Nice Walk, Small Falls Went to La La Falls last week. The track is long and peaceful, with tall trees and the sound of flowing water along the way. The falls themselves were a bit underwhelming—probably due to the dry weather. Great spot if you enjoy a nature walk, but don’t expect a big waterfall.

Bit of a walk from the carpark for not much. The waterfall is ok. More like a creek dripping down some rocks. If it's busy it would be pretty rubbish waiting for everyone to finish their professional social media influencing photography.

Yering Station Winery, established in 1838, is a luxurious destination featuring a blend of modern and historic buildings. The property was acquired by the Rathbone family in 1996 and is home to Yarrabank. The winery complex handles Yarrabank sparkling and Yering Station table wines, making it a focal point of the Yarra Valley. Additionally, the historic Chateau Yering offers luxury accommodation and fine dining next door.
We got married at Yering Station in 2012 and it was spectacular. Could not recommend it highly enough. But today we went back for lunch to show our kids this incredible place 13 years after our wedding. The meal was amazing and the serves generous. The view and atmosphere are stunning. We had so much fun just hanging out after lunch - it was 5pm so we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the cellar door was open until 6pm. We went in for a tasting. WOW! The wines were so much better than we remembered, but even more wonderful was the experience. The beautiful staff not only made us feel welcome, they completely spoiled us with our tasting, bringing out a bottle of Chardonnay from the year we were married to taste then really engaging with us talking all things wine and life. The wines were delicious, the service was even better. Obviously we signed up for the wine family (which was more than worth it!). Thank you Yering Station for making my Mother’s Day celebration so special this year x

Wine tasting and lunch at Yering Station was one of the highlights of our Melbourne trip. I was delighted to try some delicious red wines and enjoy a wonderful lunch there. The beautiful surroundings, elegant décor, and friendly staff make it an outstanding restaurant and winery. Highly recommend.
Chin T — Google review
I was really excited for this one. We went for the wine tasting on a beautiful sunny day, the kind of weather that makes you want to be outdoors enjoying the view. Unfortunately, the tasting itself takes place indoors in a fairly dim room with very little natural light, which felt like a real shame. With such gorgeous surroundings outside, it seemed like a missed opportunity to create something special. During the tasting, four different staff members poured for us. Three of them asked what we had already been served, which made the whole experience feel a bit disorganized and not as smooth or welcoming as I was hoping for. The wine pours also felt quite small -more like a sip than a proper tasting- and I think most people would agree after seeing the photo I’ve attached. Inside, the décor follows a pop-art theme with Andy Warhol replicas. Normally, I appreciate that style, but here it felt completely unrelated to wine, wine tasting, or the heritage of the vineyard. Instead of enhancing the atmosphere, it actually worked against the rustic, old-world vibe that the place itself naturally carries. That said, the outdoor area is stunning. The grounds are well kept, with a beautiful grassy area out front and a lovely lookout point that really makes you stop and take it in. It honestly left me thinking how perfect it would be if the wine tasting were moved outdoors, perhaps with a small kiosk or bar set up in the middle of the lawn. With the sunshine, scenery, and a glass in hand, that would transform the experience into something unforgettable.
Raff S — Google review
You can't fault much here. The service, food and atmosphere is exceptional. However, there was a fault in the steak option that I paid extra for on top of what my parents had already paid for a 3-course meal. It might not seem like a big deal, but since I asked specifically for "true medium rare", not medium, which it ended up exactly being on my plate, that was disappointing, being such a high quality piece of meat. Other than that, it was an amazing lunch, and had me bursting at the seams. I could have just had the pork belly entree and pistachio dessert and been satisfied.

We had a very odd and dissapointing experience at the restaurant. We had booked lunch using a luxury escape voucher which included a main, choice of wine and two shared sides. The only positive was how well cooked the meats were and how tasty the wine was. Other than that, our experience was very strange. The strangest part or our experience was the use of potato off cuts in our roasted potato side - see picture below. I have never before seen potato fondant off cuts and bits of potato eye served to guests. It's really incomprehensible and unappetising. We ended up leaving the potato dish. The salad was also quite terrible - it literally looked like a Coles pre chopped salad mix that was topped with a few sprigs of dill and some goats cheese. The leaves were barely dressed and very plain tasting. Onto the main meals, which ended up being quite odd as well. The cuts of meat were very tasty and well seasoned. The biggest negative was the random pastry basket served with the pork and holding chopped apple. The basket was pale, undercooked and soggy. It didn't really add anything to the dish. The duck dish was also a bit odd with an undercooked cannelloni filled with pulled duck and cabbage. This was bland and underseasoned also. While both dishes looked pretty, they left much to be desired and not worth the cost or effort. Overall, we would not be back and we wouldn't recommend to others. There are much better choices in the Yarra Valley (and much better luxury escape deals as well). Be warned.

Beautiful Vinyard with celler door and restaurant. Simple elegant feels with vase space. We went to cellar door to get a cheese platter and a glass of wine as we arrived too early for our lunch booking. There are a small number of outside table for you to enjoy the cheese board and wine and it was super delicious. The celler door staff was super friendly and professional, compared to my recent visit to Pt.Leo celler door where staff would just ignored you. We then moved to the restaurant after we finished the cheese board. Lovely open space in the restaurant area with glass wall from floor to ceiling open to the landscape! I was going to do the 3 courses and finish with dessert to share with my partner but the food size was really substantial I was way too full and couldn't even finish my fish main. 😞 My entree of scallops with bacon was so good, a little too much of pumpkin. The barramundi with eels mashed was very tasty as well, but also feel like there are too many things on the plates. Overall I enjoyed my food. My husband entree was great but the main is a little bland. Definitely recommend the cellar door for wine tasting and cheese platter for chill out outdoor on a good sunny day 😎🌞

We had the pleasure of enjoying a truly delightful lunch today in celebration of a dear friend’s birthday. The cuisine was nothing short of exquisite, and the service was impeccable—our waiter’s warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely welcome and added a memorable touch to the occasion. The seating offered a lovely view, which made the experience all the more special. We shall most certainly return. Un grand merci for such a wonderful experience.

Worth trying the Andre Cab sav. its memorable. The John Dory done simply with butter and peppercorns was just yummy. Great staff, gorgeous restaurant and cellar in parklike grounds overlooking a small lake.

Came here after a disappointing lunch at a nearby winery, and we are SO glad we did. The chicken liver pate was delicious and already better than our whole lunch experience. Wines were delicious, left with a few bottles. The Andre is definitely worth trying. Orange cake was good and moist. Overall would come back here again (and for a full meal next time)

Stunning location with picturesque views and very easy access from the main road. We met with a large group which was well catered for. Wines were delicious. We were treated by the history of the winery which originated in France. Absolute must to visit. Gluten free options were aplenty along with very friendly wait staff.

Lovely location to meet up with friends and family. The food is really good. We had the share plate. Some dishes can be substituted for the GF and Vegans in the group. The wines are quite nice. I’m not a big wine drinker but I really enjoyed the Pinot Noir. Nice place to go during a cold winters day.

Absolutely spectacular experience ballooning across the Yarra Valley - extremely smooth gentle ride. Received good information and help when booking for our group. Although our flights were cancelled twice, the third time was excellent and perfect! Great birthday

An unforgettable experience! Riding the hot air balloon was absolutely magical — from the peaceful ascent to the breathtaking panoramic views. The team was professional, friendly, and made us feel completely safe the entire time. Watching the sunrise from above the clouds was like something out of a dream. Highly recommend this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

This is one kind of life time experience you need to have. Hot air ballooning over Yarra Valley early in the morning to witness sunrise is one of the most unforgettable experience I ever had. Go Wild Ballooning is so expert and their service is super friendly. And don't forget they have good discounts too. They will give you a proper guidance before the flight and after the flight they will offer you a certificate too. And you can engage in pre and after flight to help the crew to make the balloon too. The day I went was not a sunny day so I couldn't witness the sunrise properly. But the view was so worth the money. Don't forget to check their site to grab some amazing deals they have. Witness this life time experience.

Had the most incredible experience hot air ballooning at Go Wild — and a big shoutout to Mia who went above and beyond to help me pull off a surprise proposal! She was super helpful and genuinely cared about making everything perfect. We booked this as a part of my husbands 40th birthday celebrations and I’m so glad we did! We were lucky enough to get a beautiful, clear morning and the whole experience was just incredible. Our pilot, Mark was extremely knowledgeable and the ground staff, Storm & Mark, were equally great. An amazing bucket list item - would strongly recommend Go Wild Ballooning to anyone!

Absolutely spectacular & breath-taking experience worthy of 10⭐ The entire experience from beginning to end was absolutely perfect because of these 3 incredible musketeers (staff members): Mark Fraser - the best pilot in the world, amazingly calm, funny and experienced. Thank you Mark for the smooth and safe flight over Yarra Valley. Your skills are truly remarkable. Rob - extremely knowledgeable ground staff, willing to answer all your 1001 questions before flying, great sense of humour, very friendly. Thank you Rob for driving us safely to and from launch site. Ethan - the balloon transporter, set-up ground staff, sweetest chilled guy. Thank you Ethan for setting up our balloon and for calming my nerves. Can't thank you guys enough for making our experience such a memorable one. Thank you for your hard work setting up our balloon and ensuring all safety measures were in place. The flight was incredibly smooth, the view was absolutely phenomenal. The people in the group were just fantastic, super friendly, made heaps of friends by the time we landed. Packing up the balloon was so much fun for everyone. Thank You for that unique experience. For someone with a height phobia, I did not want the flight to end. Everyone must experience this in their lifetime. Thank you Go Wild Ballooning for the most incredible experience of my life. I will definitely fly again, but only if Mark is the pilot 👨‍✈️🎈👏🥰

Helen & Joey Estate - Re'em in Yarra Valley offers a spacious cellar door and tasting room, but the best experience is on the terrace overlooking the picturesque vineyards. You can leisurely taste their wines while enjoying snacks and charcuterie, and even purchase some bottles to take home. The Re'em restaurant provides a romantic setting with stunning vineyard views, offering a variety of wines to complement your meal.
Bravo Re’em! What a fabulous Sunday lunch the four of us had. The Asian fusion dishes were each beautifully presented as a work of art. We loved each dish, all creative and cleverly subtle, leaving us with no shortage of ingredient guesses. My personal favorite was a poached pear…. (will I ever be able to serve mine again after this new benchmark?) The service was friendly and informative. The 180 degree view over their Helen and Joey vineyard is a stunning background to the open, modern venue on a winter’s day. We won’t be waiting for a special occasion to return.

Accommodation is amazing with sweeping views of a beautiful pond and vineyards. Generous sized rooms with beautiful cabinetry and plenty of storage for your stay. Gorgeous bathrooms to relax and enjoy a vino or two in the bath. Dinner however is definitely worth the value. Set menu and definitely did not disappoint. Wines are amazing. 11 stars out of 10 for a weekend away.

Beautiful location and the food was delicious. Booked a lunch at Re'em restaurant, very nice decor and overlooking the winery ground and beautiful lake/pound with the fountain. The food was Asian influenced which is rather unique to find in the winery restaurants. The service was excellent too, the staff were friendly and very attentive. A lovely experience overall. Highly recommended.

This luxe boutique hotel in Gruyere (Yarra Valley region) was a pleasant impromptu overnight stay (impulsively booked a couple days prior for a quiet weekend away). I believe I may have nabbed the last available room as there are only 16 guest rooms & believed I secured one of their 'standard' rooms as the fancier ones had already been snapped up. Well, I was surprised to find out their basic rooms were far from standard and definitely much nicer than most upgraded 4-5 star hotel rooms in any capital city, spacious open rain shower, Nespresso pod machine, free standing deep bathtub included. The rooms were spacious, unbelievably clean (I have an unshakable habit of inspecting nooks, corners, drains, signs of infestations and previous guest damage upon check in) and it was immaculate, however having said that this is a boutique hotel and freshly built in 2023. The grounds have a modern feel, there is a cellar door on the premises and a restaurant serving mod Asian cuisine, this establishment also looks set up for scenic weddings, with a beautiful lake swimming with a resident pelican and ducks and lush backdrop, which our room opened up to. Our room was located in the 'basement', sounds terrible but in reality, was perfect, the building is built in reverse as to make use of the hill it sits upon for maximum scenery intake for the top level, there was a stunning fishpond at the base of the stairwell of the basement with the cutest array of goldfish, ranging from petite babies to well fed fatties, whenever we stopped to admire them they would swim up to us eagerly, probably expecting food, utterly adorable. The vibe is relaxed, quiet, serene and modern, I loved the balance of welcoming but not intrusive professionalism of all staff. Check on and check out was extremely smooth and quick. We also received a complimentary voucher to redeem for a drink at the cellar door, but silly me, forgot about it, Breakfast is also complimentary, there is an a la carte menu of breakfast favorites with an Asian inspired twist such as scrambled eggs, poached eggs, fritters etc. also dumplings or congee and a small selection of pastries & juice you can help yourself to. I shouldn't complain but I would have loved if there was oat milk as an option for coffees (only soy & almond available). Loads of parking and close to other wineries such as St. Huberts, Chandon etc. Would love to come back again soon!

Absolutely adore this place! Stunning views, great wine, excellent service. My wife and I were served by a lovely waitress - Abbie I think her name was, and we were very happy with the level of service especially as it was my birthday on Sunday! She had a few things going on but seems to multi-task very well - something my wife wishes I could do! Will definitely be back, maybe during the week when it isn't as busy! P.S I have been told about the hotel rooms, and I think my next birthday trip will have to be in those rooms!!

Re’em at Helen & Joey Estate is the perfect date night destination in the Yarra Valley. The setting is stunning — surrounded by rolling vineyards and a serene, modern atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special from the moment you arrive. We had the two-course meal with cocktails and loved every bite. The chilli crab was rich and fragrant, the smoked aurum duck beautifully tender, and the fish cooked at 50°C was perfectly silky. Even the buckwheat gnocchi was a standout.

I held my 70th at Re'em for 16 guests and it was superb. The food on the menu is exquisite - beautifully presented and flavourful. Of course the wines were excellent. The restaurant itself is modern and classy, yet with a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged everyone to enjoy the day. The restaurant manager and all the staff were friendly and flexible in accommodating our group. They made us feel special and looked after all our requests. The most common comment from our guests was - Why haven't I heard of this place before? We have to come back.

The winery is peaceful and beautiful, with a tranquil atmosphere. The staff are very warm and polite. They offered complimentary wine tasting and enthusiastically introduced the wine-making process to us. We were given a tour of the wine cellar, along with detailed explanations of the characteristics of each wine. The hotel room is spacious, bright, modern, and offers a great view. The restaurant serves delicious food. highly recommended!

Seville Estate, named the 2019 Winery of the Year by James Halliday, offers a remarkable dining experience in Yarra Valley. The restaurant boasts a stunning setting with panoramic views of the valley and hills, housed in a modern Nordic art sculpture. The menu focuses on local produce and features their own bread, honey, and stracciatella served by attentive staff. This winery has been producing award-winning Upper Valley wines since 1972, particularly renowned for its shiraz.
Very warm and comfy small winery! It is definitely a hidden gem. The tasting room interior was pretty immaculate and they have nice variety wine. We didn' have chance to try the restaurant but it is definitely on our list next time, menu looks good and the dining room overlooks very nice vineyard with hills as backdrop.

We had a group stay at the homestead for a Saturday night and it was amazing. Perfectly set up, and so much bigger than expected – the photos don't really do it justice. Clean, well equipped, and a perfect spot to have a few local wines by the roaring open fire. We'll have to come back in summer to take advantage of the pool. Tasting at the winery was also fantastic, as always.

People on wine-region holidays often relax, meander and explore, if they didn’t, they may not know about wineries like this one to pop into and spent their money in. Walk-ins can be a challenge to manage, but when managed hospitably and with gratitude for the patronage, people are more inclined to stay, spend and recommend; definitely what we wanted to do here - the gardens are stunning. We didn’t purchase any wine for several reasons, firstly the above, but also because the thimble sized tastings didn’t inform the palate. Additionally, I’m unsure what they charge for a glass of wine here, but when charging $25 per tasting one would be more inclined to purchase bottles if the tasting was equal to at least a standard serve, say 100 to 150ml in total - demonstrating hospitality over tightness. We’d also have been more inclined to purchase wine, and may have stayed for lunch, had Seville Estate waived the tasting fee of $25 upon purchase of a bottle of wine (per person) as most other wineries in the district do, instead of expecting each person to spend $200 to have it waived.

Drove down to Seville Estate as my cousin is into Reislings and wanted to try out some Aussie ones, although it's not common. We arrived only to find that the usual cellar door tasting area was closed off for a private event. However one of the staff Mariana, offered to host us outdoors. It turned out to be an even better experience, as we were able to take our time to appreciate the selections and Mariana was knowledgeable and patient with our questions. Happy we stopped by to enjoy the lovely interaction with wine offerings and staff. Thank you!

Visitors can also indulge in delicious scones at the on-site cafe while admiring the beautiful flowers and purchasing items from the charming gift store. Additionally, there are opportunities to feed the adorable alpacas and Minnie the sheep.
What a fantastic place to visit! The flowers were stunning. Be aware the hot house is hot, as expected. There were flowers as far as we could see; so impressive. The Alpacas were very cute & photogenic. The tea rooms had a small but good range with options for a light lunch. There's also much to tempt you in the shop both floral & alpaca related. There was ample parking onsite which is free.

Highly aesthetic place with cute alpacas. Nice place to kick back and have a cup of coffee. The cafe sells feed for the alpacas should you want to feed them. The alpacas are generally well-groomed and friendly to humans.

PLEASE visit here if you're in the area with kids. Awesome (and affordable) alpaca feeding (the alpacas are super gentle), possibly one of the best playgrounds in the area, nice cafe with yummy scones. Two baby alpacas less than 2 wks old when we visited a couple days ago. Didn't seem to be a typical Yarra Valley thing to go to but it's such a nice and unique place to visit with the kids. Alpacas weren't super hungry when we went tho. The cafe lady actually went out and encouraged them to come over to us. We could see the Alpacas from the playground too.

Gateway Market Yarra Valley is a must-visit venue that offers an array of fresh produce, gourmet products, and a delightful dining experience. The estate provides a one-stop-shop for fresh fruits, berries, and veggies. Visitors can take a hothouse tour and indulge in freshly picked strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, and sweet orange capsicum. The on-site cafe ensures that ingredients are sourced from the hothouse itself.
Wonderful idea of business model. Spotless clean kitchen. Well maintained greenhouse using permaculture tactics to control insect pests. Owner is passionate about his garden and courteous to his customers. The selection of food is simple and well cooked, not sure why they have such a big professional kitchen when there is only simple food. Would love to see cold pressed raw milk and more ripened fruits sold here like Marketplace. Coffee taste is 9/10, maybe just under James cafe in North Melbourne.

This is a lovely, interesting place, great for a day trip if you aren't local. They have a great variety of gourmet products and fresh produce for sale in the shop. The service was excellent. The Hummus with ground lamb, pine nuts, parsley and flat bread was very good. The Beef brisket croquettes with red cabbage slaw, whilst crisp and beautifully presented, was a little dry and bland. It would be great with a fresh sauce. We ordered Cappucino, extra hot, which was tepid at best. However, this seems to be the urban norm. We shall be back for sure.
Martin S — Google review
This is such a special spot to visit! I loved being able to tour the greenhouse and experience the food that you're eating and buying at the grocer. It feels really nice to have local, fresh produce straight from their gardens. The kitchen is also worth a stop - love their cakes and their savoury bites. The fried chicken ribs were really juicy, and the prawns were such a delicious flavour. It's also a really great ambience being able to sit gazing upon the greenhouse.

So impressive - Gateway Market is walking the talk, they are providing freshly grown, healthy, delicious, affordable produce to the local community and visitors passing through. Take the hothouse tour, pick and eat strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes and sweet orange capsicum straight from the plant, dine in their cafe knowing they're using ingredients grown in the hothouse behind you and stock up on great local Yarra Valley produce from their shop before you leave. Brilliant concept - we love it. And Tim was a superb waiter - so genuine and passionate.
Jeff J — Google review
I’ve always like visiting the Yarra Valley especially the wineries, but recently I visited Gateway Market greengrocer and cafe. The selling point here is the greenhouse where you can pick your own strawberries and herbs. I really liked it because there were less insects and bugs, as all strawberries and herbs are grown in the greenhouse. The cafe also served wonderful food, especially like the slow braised beef ribs and also the ricotta and lemon pancakes. Highly recommend as a pitstop if you’re visiting the Yarra Valley.
Daisy W — Google review
Based in Coldstream at the foothills of the Yarra Valley, Gateway is a three in one venue creating a new perspective on healthy living. The cafe's concept is farm to table so everything is grown locally and tastes incredible. Can I tell you, nothing tastes better than fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. If you are looking for a special food experience this is the place! After our meal we walked the greenhouse to take a look at all the produce being grown. We finished our morning by shopping at the local grocery built into the cafe. A complete foodie experience and must do in Yarra Valley.
Stefan C — Google review
The staff are lovely, the place is clean, but the coffee isn’t all that good, and it’s tiny. The plants are in such a bad state it’s sad, and to ask $18kg for “pick your own tomatoes” are you joking? And $5 for a dying single vegetable plant is awful. I bought a loaf of sourdough bread which was still warm. It was delicious.

This is a place of stunning natural beauty with a sad recent history of catastrophic bushfires. The Discovery Centre is in such a state of decay it's closed. The new tree canopy is overwhelming when you consider 130 perished here. Like so many national parks the tracks are not well maintained, leaving 4x4 drivers at their peril. There's a few toilets but little else in the way of amenities...Kinglake is a 10 minute drive away.

Great place to visit for a day trip for a short walk in the forest. It was a hot day when we visited, but in the forest it was cool, comfortable and totally refreshing. We play at St. John course. I will put this course at the TOP tier of Melb must play list. Kudos to the green keeper who maintain the fairways and the greens at their best. Green speed is utterly fast, except the last 3 holes are slower than the rest. This is not a cheap course to play, but it’s worth the money, not easy to play but still fun to finish the 18 holes. All golfer have a great manner especially the locals. Kangaroos sunbathing at hole 11th and 17th. We played here with Future Golf

Heritage Golf and Country Club in Victoria is a stunning destination that offers a premium golfing experience surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, the club boasts two championship courses—the St John Course and the Henley Course—each offering a unique and challenging layout that caters to golfers of all skill levels. The St John Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is a true test of strategy and precision, with undulating fairways, well-placed bunkers, and fast, tricky greens that demand accurate shot-making. The Henley Course, on the other hand, provides a more links-style experience, with open fairways and strategic water hazards that add to the challenge. Both courses are immaculately maintained, with lush fairways and pristine greens that enhance the overall playing experience. Beyond the golf, Heritage Golf and Country Club offers excellent facilities, including a well-equipped clubhouse, dining options, and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a round. The staff are professional and welcoming, ensuring that guests have a memorable experience from start to finish. While the club has seen some changes in management over the years, the stunning location and quality of the courses remain its strongest highlights. Whether you’re a passionate golfer looking for a challenging round or simply want to enjoy a scenic day on the fairways, Heritage Golf and Country Club is a fantastic choice.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of playing a round at Heritage Golf Club, and I can't say enough about this fantastic course! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who made me feel like a valued guest. The course itself is an absolute gem. Impeccably maintained fairways and greens, stunning natural surroundings, and a layout that offers both challenge and enjoyment for golfers of all skill levels. The pristine beauty of the landscape combined with the well-designed holes made every swing feel like a memorable experience. What truly sets Heritage Golf Club apart, though, is the commitment to customer service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that your day on the course is exceptional. Whether it's assisting with tee times, offering tips on navigating the course, or making sure you have everything you need, they are always there with a smile. The views from the clubhouse are stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for a post-round meal or drinks with friends. In summary, Heritage Golf Club is a golfing paradise that deserves every one of its five stars. If you're looking for a memorable golf experience in a beautiful setting with exceptional service, look no further. I can't wait to return for another round at Heritage Golf Club!

Friend arrived first n went to order by the bar as we followed minutes later, some of us were being instructed to another room without realizing we’re the same party since we were a mixed group, apparently for membership purposes, but none of us were members anyways. It do be one of ur own sometimes..

Great place to stay! Well run and down the road from The Little Vineyard where they hold events. So this is the best accommodation if you are heading to an event in the near future. Highly recommend

After more than 4 years absent, still a great golf course, St John, nature and all, yes, better course maintenance needed. Sadly what was once a great club is now seems vibes-less and run down; building, facility, no shower, bar was shut, badly manage and the owner just don't care. Friendly members are still around, not sure with the latest hike in subs at $5k/year for a badly managed club?

If you're looking for an experience beyond wine, Rob Dolan Wines is the perfect place. The winery is located in the Yarra Valley and has been producing wines for some of Australia's most iconic producers for 25 years. Owner Rob Dolan has turned his passion and skill into his own label, which offers an incredible experience that's hard to beat. Tasting can last up to two hours, giving you plenty of time to learn about wine and discuss its flavors with your host.
Perfect winery location to relax. Quiet place and pet friendly. Wine tasting and bottles are at a good price point. Staff were friendly and accommodating, with great knowledge of their products. We spent a great 2 hours in this place. Very close to Melbourne.

What a great little hide away. I didn't know this place existed until it popped up in my feed. It's well situated on the hill, and the lawn area and stoned area under the tree was perfect to deter the hot sun. There's no restaurant however, the platters looked good. the toasties were perfect with the relish on the side. Nice selection of wines and well priced to match. The staff were great, so relaxed, and well informed of what's what. Will definitely be going back again.

We have visited some of the classic wineries around Melbourne, but today we were looking for a winery close to Melbourne for a half-day experience. We were pleasantly surprised to discover Rob Dolan wines and enjoyed an exceptional morning here. Our host (Nick) immediately made us feel welcome and arranged a table facing the rolling fields. He described the history of the winery and excitedly spoke of the wines and the tasty offerings available to us. We enjoyed an impeccable platter coupled with a fresh glass of their wines. The price for this experience was very reasonable. After our little feast, we wandered the gardens and were able to capture some beautiful memories. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely winery close to Melbourne, with 5 star experience.

A great spot for a grazing lunch and vino at this winery. The charcuterie board was well prepared with a fair amount of quality cold cuts, terrines, cheese and accompaniments. The Chardonnay was refreshing, and their Blanc de Blanc and sparkling rose were delightful paired with a substantial grazing board. As most seating is outside (except if you have booked the function space indoors) you need to rug up and wear warm clothes during the colder months as the outdoor heaters don’t suffice. However during the warmer months it’s perfect. Service generally was good, they did however bring out some items late to our table.

Was looking online for a dog friendly winery around Melbourne and came across Rob Dolan Winery. It didn’t disappoint. Plus they had a vegan platter for me to enjoy. My family had the grazing platter and they thought it was very generous.

Beautiful place to enjoy some yarra valley wine at the start or end of your trip. Gorgeous scenery, plenty of tables to sit and enjoy and cheese boards with cheese made locally on site. Wine was delicious. Only wish they gave a little more of a generous pour as it was hardly a full sip so challenging to really taste the wine, especially when paying $15 for the tasting, I’d expect a slightly longer pour.

We passed through a few wineries today on a bus tour and experienced a large variety of wines and locations. The Rob Dolan winery was lovely and enjoyable. What truly made this experience special wasn’t that it was the most spectacular venue or view, it was having someone like Taylor at the front of the customers. She was passionate, knowledgeable and was very commanding of a room. She taught me in our little time there more about wine and the various processes to achieve the results that we tasted than I’ve learned in all my life. I’d come again to spend more time knowing she’s there. Thank you for sharing the beautiful wines, and mostly thank you for sharing your passion and energy, Taylor!

Booked the bean bag experience and we had a relaxing lovely experience. Platter was perfect to have with the Chardonnay (highly recommended). We arrived early and had a tasting ($15 unless you buy a bottle), Holly was so lovely and made our experience more enjoyable. Will go again while the weather is nice.
