The restaurant provides a welcoming environment for kids and offers various options to cater to their tastes. Already recommended to my friends - definitely a standout. Service was amazing, and the tasting share menu was a treat. Accommodated to allergies and food preferences too!

HANDS DOWN MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN MELBOURNE 😭😭😭 been here twice and blown away each time by how innovative and fresh the flavours are. Love the ambience and how the menu rotates according to the season! Absolute standouts for me are the beef tartare and focaccia that never fails to hit the spot. Definitely worth the drive to healesville 🥺 will be back! (Look how cute the restaurant is too!!)

As we left No.7 yesterday, the young lady who had looked after us throughout our anniversary lunch farewelled us with “Thank you both for keeping me company this afternoon “. With that one sentence she encapsulated what had been a wonderful, very personal dining experience. The five course tasting menu was well-balanced, contained some interesting surprises, and was well paced. No wines by the glass on the list, but an opportunity to taste and select some beautiful, small batch wines that you won’t find at Dan’s. Interior design that impressed without intimidating. But ultimately it was Indiah whose knowledge, passion and personal service made us feel more like friends than customers.
Andrew C — Google review
The flavour is good but the portions are too small for the price. We were told they are meant to share which is not accurate if the portion is so small. The atmosphere is nice and service is nice though.
Brandon — Google review
I had really high hopes since this restaurant is in the Good Food Guide and has a hat. Unfortunately, the food was under-seasoned and the feed me menu felt a bit lacklustre – the à la carte options looked much better. Service was pretty good, but overall the food was a bit so-so
Nelson F — Google review
Great experience. Found it completely by accident when staying in the area. Great changing menu, excellent service. Decor was great, very fun vibe and high ceilings really gave it a premium feel.
Alex C — Google review
One of my favorite restaurants! Absolutely delicious, sustainably sourced meals. I love how the wines constantly change, with small batch wines. The service is impeccable, and the staff go above and beyond with so much knowledge of the food. I have had the chef's selection both times I have been here, and it is always beautiful. The atmosphere is gorgeous with interesting decor and feels like you are in Italy. Cannot recommend enough!
Alyssa R — Google review
Last night’s dinner was fantastic. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully put together, and the wines were surprising in the best way - each one perfectly matched to what we were eating. The service was lovely and relaxed, and the whole place just feels effortless. Such a great night.

Restaurant
Stones of the Yarra Valley is a charming establishment located in Wesburn, Victoria, offering modern Australian tasting menus with wine pairings in a vintage farmhouse setting. The venue is housed in a beautifully restored old barn surrounded by vineyards, apple orchards, and century-old oak trees with stunning views of the Yarra Ranges. In addition to its dining options at The Barn and Stables restaurant, it also features the adjacent cafe Meletos which serves lunch and dinner daily.
Stones is the ultimate dream wedding venue! The Villa was stunning, the Chapel was magical, and the Barn was the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance. Every detail was flawless, and the team made our day seamless and unforgettable (Special shoutout to Emily). Stones is a picturesque, timeless venue. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more!
Arthur L — Google review
Highly recommend Stones of the Yarra Valley, especially the Barns. I celebrated my 30th here with personalised/ set menus and stunning views overlooking the gardens. This is a beautiful location, the food was absolutely delicious and the wine choice we selected paired perfectly. The variety of food was exceptional and also the service for the dairy free/ vegetarian guests was amazing. My guests were also constantly commenting on the tremendous choice of venue and the beautiful meal! The waitress on our table was super friendly and lovely to deal with, always one step ahead of us and made the day very easy. I can’t recommend this venue enough and I can’t wait to visit again!
Kate B — Google review
Had a great time at this winery — the food was really feeling good. Flavors were on point, and the portion sizes didn’t disappoint. If you’re into lamb, this place brings a lot of it, and they do it well. Everything from the mains to the sides hit the spot.
Wylissa Z — Google review
A very nice and beautiful place with picturesque scenery. Great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food and wine were good too.
Hamid — Google review
Promptly seated even though we arrived half an hour early. The sun came out and lit up the vines and the lawns beautifully. Then we had lunch with rose cider. Easy drive back along the winding driveway then home.
Lindsay C — Google review
As a local Yarra Valley wedding photographer, I highly recommend Stones of the Yarra Valley. The venue offers incredible views for stunning photos at multiple locations across the property, creates unforgettable memories for your guests, and is completely safe for all season of the typical Melbourne weather. Ceremony outdoors in the gardens, or indoors at the chapel, you have a very hard choice to make! The staff ensures a stress-free planning experience, communication on point between vendors, so you don't have to be the middle man on the day of the wedding, and the delicious food/wine will leave everyone satisfied. With on-site accommodations that feel like Tuscany, Stones consistently delivers an exceptional wedding experience. What more could you ask for? I cannot wait to come back to Stones again this year and capture more love stories for my couples. Thank you Stones!
Courtney L — Google review
Absolutely love it. Got married here in 2022 and it was great being back and being relaxed and enjoying the day. Had dinner and breakfast there. We will make this a yearly tradition and go back yearly for our anniversary. The dinner was 5 stars it was fantastic, and the buffet breakfast was amazing as well. The girl who made the mocha on Sunday morning was the best mocha I've ever had (I had to go back for 2nds)

Having our wedding at Stones has always been a dream of ours. We were so blessed to be able to have our amazing day at this gorgeous venue and I can't speak highly enough of it. Stones is the whole experience, everything about the venue is just perfection! We can't rate the staff highly enough. The food at Stones is also amazing. Alana was our wedding coordinator and she was an absolute angel. No question was ever too much, she was so attentive and always willing to help with anything. Over the time that we were planning we were communicating so much that by the time we met, we felt like we had known her for forever. One of the genuinely saddest parts was saying bye. All the other staff at Stones were just as amazing. Emma & Jasmine looked after us all so well on the day and they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We were fortunate to be able to hire the Farmhouse and the Villa for us and our guests to stay at. All we can say is - wow! The accommodation at Stones is stunning! If you have the aopportunity to, book yourselves a stay there. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and everyone of you at Stones. We came across so many other staff members but don't know their names, however every single one of you made us feel so special and welcomed at the venue. If only we could do our wedding over and over again 🥰 Thank you for the most magical experience and we can't wait to come back and visit again!

Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Levantine Hill Estate stands out as a premier destination for those seeking an exquisite dining experience. This stunning venue beautifully marries contemporary and classic European cuisine with exceptional local wines, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. Beyond its culinary delights, Levantine Hill is also renowned as a luxurious wedding venue, offering breathtaking views and impeccable service that create unforgettable moments.
We had an amazing experience for our anniversary. The food and wine were excellent and the atmosphere and view was phenomenal. A special thanks to Jordan, the sommelier who guided us through a wonderful wine tasting before lunch. His knowledge and passion for the wines added so much to the experience. Our waiter (whose name I unfortunately can't remember) was also fantastic, attentive, friendly and made sure we had a great afternoon. Thank you Levantine Hill for making our anniversary so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

☑️ Beautiful place. Absolutely stunning. The ambience and atmosphere inside and out is incredible. ☑️ All our dishes were solid. The portions are small and the prices high though. We weren’t full. Nothing really had a WOW factor though. But it was fine. ❎ The service wasn’t particularly great. The guy at the front desk was very accommodating but the waiters were far from attentive. Weird though the girl (British accent) couldn’t stop talking about everything with the people in front of us right down to how much the new section cost but every time we tried to signal her for water or even to look at a dessert menu or order coffees she was non existent. We didn’t order dessert, couldn’t even get someone to get us the bill and had to go to the front to sort it out. Mind you it was very quiet and there were many people around. Pretty substandard for a place which is fine dining. Still a beautiful place. Perhaps an off day.
Chris C — Google review
Disappointed and Overpriced – Not Worth It! I had high expectations for Levantine Hill Estate, but sadly it was a big letdown. The food was very underwhelming – flavors were bland and not worth the premium pricing. I was shocked to see a single skewer of lamb priced at $18. Seriously? For that price, I expected something amazing, but it was just average at best. Overall, extremely disappointed. Definitely not coming back. There are far better places in the Yarra Valley that offer both great food and value for money. 😤
Scarlet — Google review
We didn’t make a booking and the manager on the day organised table for us to dine in. Absolutely above and beyond service standards. Even more, the food is beyond phenomenal, almost licked the plate! Must visit if you are in the area.
Amy L — Google review
The tasting at the cellar door was informative and well executed by Ken, who acknowledged that we were there celebrating a birthday and gave us an extra pour of the sparkling rose which was delicious. Lunch as expected was good and of quality. We had the scallops and beef manti for entree and the fish and lamb as mains. The only minor criticism is that the lamb was a touch overdone. An overall good experience at an establishment of this calibre.
Lilian L — Google review
Thank you for having us for our wedding anniversary! The staff were absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing! The chef came and greeted everyone after lunch to ask about our meal. What a beautiful winery to visit!
Breeann S — Google review
Highly recommended by our friends so we chose to book here at Levantine Hill to celebrate our anniversary with our young boys. What a beautiful experience it was, we had a wine tasting session with Heather who was so lovely, we really enjoyed listening to the background history of the family whilst sipping on our wines. It really makes the experience that much more special when the service is outstanding. It’s very important to have staff who love the work they do because it really does shine through. McKenzie, a special shout out to you too for going out of your way to offer to take beautiful photos for us today, thank you once again. The food was delicious full of culture and flavour. The venue is simply elegant and we’re very much looking forward to the hotel opening up next year. We'll definitely be back again ♥️

A great experience coming here for lunch for my wife's birthday! We had a great wine tasting experience with Heather who was a delight. Knew her wines and offered a great relaxed conversation. It was like we had a tasting with a family member. Lunch was delicious with Lebanese inspired food with modern twists. loved everything. And we even got a lovely gift for my wifes birthday. Thank you Heather and the team for an amazing lunch and experience.

Oakridge Wines is a renowned fine dining restaurant in the Yarra Valley, known for its exceptional food and wine pairings. It's a popular choice among visitors seeking an exquisite culinary experience. The restaurant offers brilliant service and a wonderful lunch, making it an ideal destination for those looking to indulge in the region's gastronomic delights. With its focus on providing top-notch dining experiences, Oakridge Wines stands out as one of the premier choices for food enthusiasts exploring the area.
There's wineries and then there's Oakridge :) What an amazing experience. Not just the food (I'll get to that in a minute), but the surroundings, history and charm of the place. Firstly, the service. Our young server was without a doubt AMAZING at his job. Had to remember all of the decisions and their meticulous details on a daily basis (as the menu changes so often due to what fresh produce is available). Was helpful, attentive and I even offered him a job!!! The food, you ask... Oh food, glorious food... We are so lucky in this country. We genuinely need to appreciate it. Light, tasty, full of depth, fresh are all words that come to mind... I can't fault a single dish we all had. Right down to the bread. Just so damn good :) Will definitely come back to bring the family along.
Umie — Google review
There are just so many wineries in Melbourne that choosing one felt like a mini project. I did quite a bit of research before finally settling on Oakridge, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The experience felt a little more personal compared to the bigger, more commercial wineries. The cellar door host who guided us through the tasting was absolutely lovely. She gave one of the best wine explanations I have ever had. She talked us through their red wines in such detail, then offered us their white and sparkling too. We really got to explore the variety. What stood out the most was when she started explaining about the soil types. That was something I never paid attention to, but it was such an eye opener. I left knowing that even the ground your grapes grow on plays a huge role in the taste. It made the whole wine tasting experience more meaningful. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. Floor to ceiling glass panels gave us the best view of the vineyard, and with the winter chill, I really appreciated the warm sunlight coming in. It was the kind of space where you just want to sit, sip slowly and enjoy the view. I would absolutely recommend Oakridge if you are looking for a winery that is not only scenic but also educational and memorable. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.
Weinnie H — Google review
We had a fantastic wine tasting experience at Oakridge Wines. Carrie and Ray Lee were warm and knowledgeable. Carrie provided exceptional insights into the wines with passion and precision. Their hospitality elevated our visit and made it truly memorable. The wines were elegant and expressive—definitely a highlight of our Yarra Valley trip. Highly recommend!
Eric L — Google review
We had such an amazing time at Oakridge! We stopped in for a wine tasting on my birthday, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The wines were great. Carrie guided us and she was fantastic; so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the wines. She took the time to explain everything in such an engaging way and made me feel really welcome. I can’t wait to come back.
Nil A — Google review
We did the Chardonnay masterclass at Oakridge with Carrie and absolutely loved it. She was brilliant — really knowledgeable but super easy to chat with. The range of Chardonnays was incredible, each one different and really well explained. The standout for us was the Aqueduct Block Henk Vineyard Chardonnay — just stunning. Oh and she looked after the designated driver really well too! Such a great experience and well worth doing if you’re visiting the Yarra Valley.
Trev W — Google review
We had a fantastic wine tasting at Oakridge. We explored many different wines, all amazingly created yet distinctive in their own right depending on terroir or vintage. Carrie was our host and she did an amazing job, very knowledgeable and clear on explanations. She is a very lovely, welcoming host that made our tasting extra special. Can’t wait to return again and we will certainly have this winery on a regular delivery.
Brent M — Google review
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful surroundings and the welcoming atmosphere. A special thanks to Raylee, who provided exceptional service throughout our visit. Her knowledge of the wines and passion for what you do truly enhanced our experience. She made us feel valued and ensured that we enjoyed every moment, from the tastings to the delightful conversations. What a great experience!:)
Chun Y — Google review
We had an amazing wine tasting experience at Oak Ridge, guided by Raylee, who made the whole visit truly memorable. She took the time to ensure we understood and appreciated each of the wines she poured, sharing her knowledge with genuine enthusiasm and passion. Her attention to detail and warm personality elevated the experience to another level — something we truly value after visiting many wineries. You can really tell the quality and craftsmanship behind their wines; each one was beautifully made and full of character. Thank you, Raylee, for making our tasting so special!

Coombe Yarra Valley is a stylish winery and restaurant located in the former residence of opera singer Dame Nellie Melba. Situated in the sought-after Yarra Valley, this property offers 10 clear acres of fertile land with mains water already connected. It was previously a strawberry farm and provides picturesque views, making it an ideal location to build a luxury home or continue farming activities.
We recently had our wedding at Coombe Yarra Valley, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and memorable day. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. A special thank you to Angela, who was absolutely incredible throughout our entire wedding planning journey. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the process feel seamless and enjoyable. She guided us through every step with care and made sure everything came together perfectly. On the day itself, the Coombe team went above and beyond to ensure both we and our guests were looked after. The level of coordination among the staff was outstanding, they communicated so well between themselves that we felt completely supported and felt like a priority throughout the entire event. The venue is, of course, stunning, but it’s the people who truly make Coombe special. We’re so grateful for everything they did to make our day magical and we cannot recommend Coombe Yarra Valley highly enough to any couples looking for a dream wedding venue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Tayla C — Google review
As a wedding florist, we always love returning to Coombe Yarra Valley. The venue is a perfect blend of rich historical charm and modern elegance. Tucked behind the hedges, it’s full of beauty — from the original gardens and striking architecture to the refined interiors. It provides a stunning canvas for ceremonies in the Italian Garden or under the Oak Tree, and the reception space is just as breathtaking, with rich and raw features. One of our favourite moments is decorating the tables with lots of candles — it looks especially magical as night falls, particularly on the glass-top tables, where the reflections add an extra sparkle ✨✨ The team is consistently warm, professional, and so lovely to work with. I love walking into the reception space to see familiar smiling faces 🥰 The weddings and events team is always organised and make our job easy. It’s such a joy to be part of weddings and events at Coombe!
Sugar F — Google review
Beautiful winery with lush green gardens and very helpful hosts. Hosted a drive day function at the Gallery and Emma our event manager was incredibly helpful. We dropped off the gifts and place cards and banner the day before and Emma had it all set up perfectly. Emma greeted us at the gates and led us to the Gallery. Everyone complimented on the food and presentation. I highly recommend Coombe for functions. There was an option for a garden tour but we didn’t have the time to incorporate that into our event. Definitely one of the best places to host a function
Eva C — Google review
I loved the venue and we had a wonderful view of the trees from our table. The building interior is very interesting and beautifully finished; for what was once the old garage for Nellie’s luxury automobiles- Cadillac, Rolls Royce etc. The service was friendly and unhurried. Our meals were delicious and are commented on in other reviews. My 4 star atmosphere rating is reduced from 5 due to the repetitive, & to my taste, boring jazz trumpets. A bit more variety would be nice.
Nicole L — Google review
I was invited to a private party in the museum. The service is good. There are two options for each course. I had Confit Duck Terrine, Slow Cook Pork Belly and Pork Scotch, Peach Melba. The duck is good but the bun is dry. Pork scotch is much better than the pork belly. Peach Melba is not to my liking. I want a bit sour than sweet.
Libby Y — Google review
The food was amazing! Hard to decide what to have! Started with homemade, still warm, bread to dip into a gorgeous fresh olive oil (forgot to take a photo). A glass of Coombe sparkling, then Coombe Chardonnay with the Barrimundi. Terrific, friendly service. Would have liked to go on a tour of the house and gardens, but a bit much on the expensive side. Maybe another time. The flat white coffee was on the weak side unfortunately. Great place for a special celebration, like our wedding anniversary!
Jennifer W — Google review
We absolutely love working at Coombe Yarra Valley! We’ve had the pleasure of styling many weddings here over the years, and it’s always such a joy. The team is incredibly supportive, responsive, and professional, which makes the whole process so enjoyable. Beyond that, the venue itself is simply stunning, a truly beautiful setting for couples to celebrate, and such an inspiring venue to style. We can’t recommend Coombe highly enough! Agi and the WLL team

Good value and options for selecting 2 or 3 courses. Our group chose 2 courses each and everyone was happy with their mains and desserts. The best dish was the lamb shoulder - succulent and falling off the bone, served with deliciously rich gravy and perfectly roasted cauliflower.

Helen's Hill Estate is a delightful haven for wine lovers and dog enthusiasts alike, where furry friends are celebrated with beers named after them! This charming estate features a stunning cellar door that offers views into the barrel hall, complemented by cozy wood burners for those cooler days. The expansive grounds boast an outdoor bar, fire pit, and lush lawns perfect for playful pups. Guests can indulge in delicious pizzas and platters while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Attended a beautiful birthday lunch here on a sunny Sunday. There is plenty of outdoor seating and lawn for activities and also a covered balcony area in the restaurant. The wine was lovely and the pizzas were tasty too. I was a bit disappointed they were not hand made bases but the toppings were good, especially the lamb pizza. Overall a great place for a large group and a relaxing afternoon

We found this place through Google, and we had a good time here today. Delicious pizza is provided here, and there is also a very good wine tasting service. We tasted a wide variety of red wine, and thank you for the good service here. The winery is also a very dog-friendly place.

A great, relaxing spot to enjoy quality time with family and friends. The venue is pet-friendly and child-friendly, with plenty of seating available. Guests are welcome to bring their own mats for a picnic setup, though food service is not provided in the picnic area. There are balls available for kids to play with on the grassy areas. Clean restrooms and friendly staff add to the pleasant experience. The place is also suitable for hosting events. Food and drinks are reasonably priced, though the menu offers a limited selection.

Came here yesterday with my Mum and Step Dad for my 29th birthday. I had never heard of Helen’s Hill. But it is one of my favourite wineries. The staff were lovely, food was amazing, views were spectacular and wine was delicious. I’ve recommended to co workers and will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely love this place !, sit on the decking (with closed in blinds and heaters if needed), or move out to the beautiful lawn area with seating and fire pit. It’s so peaceful with incredible views. The food is beautiful and of course the wine is incredible !! Today we had the pleasure of being served by Kate who is an absolute credit to Helen’s Hill. Her friendliness and knowledge made our visit even better. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful winery. You won’t be disappointed.

During my friend's tasting session, I also learnt a lot to get to know how these premium wines are produced and differences in various options. It was quite insightful experience and wish to visit again on my trip. And it was my first time to see many Kangaroo in the farm on my third visit in Melbourne. 😝

Very relaxing winery perfect to bring the kids whilst catching up with friends and family. We sat outside and there are balls, cricket bats, a sandpit and plenty of space for the kids to run around. We had a variety of pizza, arrancini, the charcuterie box and the lemon meringue pies - food is decent and reasonably priced. A small selection of beer on tap and plenty of wines. A good day out!

When you 1st walk in it is like a step back in time, loved the ambience of the place but that is where the good stuff ended. Once we ordered our food which came out burnt for the people having scnitzel we never saw the staff again. We were there for 3hrs and still had all our dirty plates sitting on the table at least an hour after we finished eating. The wine menu was pretty ordinary as well. A few steps down the road you find another pub which is fabulous, you get a great meal, fabulous staff and everyone is full of smiles. A very bad end to a fabulous weekend away for a special occasion

I cannot thank The Grand Hotel enough for hosting our family and friends get together before our mums funeral. The ambiance and table setting was perfect, the staff so friendly, efficient and very accommodating with all my requests. The chef and kitchen staff cooked amazing food! Thank you for making this day perfect for us…

Bistro-family night. Service friendly. Kids meals fantastic, like mini adults instead of the crap some other pubs serve kids. The kids chicken Parma and beef sliders👌👌 Great fish and chips, batter was lovely. All in all great experience, thank you.

We stayed one night on a Sunday. The bed had multiple bugs in it on the sheets and the communal toilet/bathroom was pretty dirty. So dirty that both hubby and I decided to shower at home. Pretty dissapointing. Its well prices, but this doesnt mean it should not be clean.

NEVER EVER AGAIN will we return to the grand hotel. We were left waiting 50 minutes for cold fish and chips and then another 10 minutes later for our salads & Chicken Parmi. Basic pub food is not that hard. The staff obviously havnt tasted their own food as salt and pepper doesn't cost much. The food was really poor quality, served on a dirty sticky table combined with the managers lack of concern when we mentioned the slow & cold food just made us leave rather than stay for drinks and deserts. Great old building but the place is obviously very poorly run.

Stopped in for a beer, nice little bar area, love the open fireplace. Cute little place. Wasn't open for dinner but the rooms looked nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Huge outdoor area.

The menu and ambience are amazing. I have been to the restaurant last year and enjoyed every bite of my meal. But the place needs a bit of work as an accommodation. I booked two rooms the previous weekend, and the conditions were not as expected. The bathroom and toilet needed maintenance and were cleaned only after we complained. Common toilets tend to get dirtier more often and need more cleaning. The business did not have dedicated staff for accommodation, and it went pear-shaped for them when the restaurant got busy. We were from Melbourne, so we checked out within half an hour and headed back. But for tourists, it would have been a nightmare. I will not put photos, as I would like the business to see this as more of an opportunity to improve rather than a bitter brawl for a restaurant to lose its reputation.

Yering Station Winery, established in 1838, is a luxurious destination featuring a blend of modern and historic buildings. The property was acquired by the Rathbone family in 1996 and is home to Yarrabank. The winery complex handles Yarrabank sparkling and Yering Station table wines, making it a focal point of the Yarra Valley. Additionally, the historic Chateau Yering offers luxury accommodation and fine dining next door.
We got married at Yering Station in 2012 and it was spectacular. Could not recommend it highly enough. But today we went back for lunch to show our kids this incredible place 13 years after our wedding. The meal was amazing and the serves generous. The view and atmosphere are stunning. We had so much fun just hanging out after lunch - it was 5pm so we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the cellar door was open until 6pm. We went in for a tasting. WOW! The wines were so much better than we remembered, but even more wonderful was the experience. The beautiful staff not only made us feel welcome, they completely spoiled us with our tasting, bringing out a bottle of Chardonnay from the year we were married to taste then really engaging with us talking all things wine and life. The wines were delicious, the service was even better. Obviously we signed up for the wine family (which was more than worth it!). Thank you Yering Station for making my Mother’s Day celebration so special this year x

Wine tasting and lunch at Yering Station was one of the highlights of our Melbourne trip. I was delighted to try some delicious red wines and enjoy a wonderful lunch there. The beautiful surroundings, elegant décor, and friendly staff make it an outstanding restaurant and winery. Highly recommend.

I was really excited for this one. We went for the wine tasting on a beautiful sunny day, the kind of weather that makes you want to be outdoors enjoying the view. Unfortunately, the tasting itself takes place indoors in a fairly dim room with very little natural light, which felt like a real shame. With such gorgeous surroundings outside, it seemed like a missed opportunity to create something special. During the tasting, four different staff members poured for us. Three of them asked what we had already been served, which made the whole experience feel a bit disorganized and not as smooth or welcoming as I was hoping for. The wine pours also felt quite small -more like a sip than a proper tasting- and I think most people would agree after seeing the photo I’ve attached. Inside, the décor follows a pop-art theme with Andy Warhol replicas. Normally, I appreciate that style, but here it felt completely unrelated to wine, wine tasting, or the heritage of the vineyard. Instead of enhancing the atmosphere, it actually worked against the rustic, old-world vibe that the place itself naturally carries. That said, the outdoor area is stunning. The grounds are well kept, with a beautiful grassy area out front and a lovely lookout point that really makes you stop and take it in. It honestly left me thinking how perfect it would be if the wine tasting were moved outdoors, perhaps with a small kiosk or bar set up in the middle of the lawn. With the sunshine, scenery, and a glass in hand, that would transform the experience into something unforgettable.

You can't fault much here. The service, food and atmosphere is exceptional. However, there was a fault in the steak option that I paid extra for on top of what my parents had already paid for a 3-course meal. It might not seem like a big deal, but since I asked specifically for "true medium rare", not medium, which it ended up exactly being on my plate, that was disappointing, being such a high quality piece of meat. Other than that, it was an amazing lunch, and had me bursting at the seams. I could have just had the pork belly entree and pistachio dessert and been satisfied.

Had a great meal at Yering station. Great service beautiful views great menu and flavours. Everyone enjoyed every dish. Loved my prawn entree. The fish main was perfect. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Front of house Trixie was very professional. Wines were great. Deserts were delicious. Highly recommend will def return.

We had a very odd and dissapointing experience at the restaurant. We had booked lunch using a luxury escape voucher which included a main, choice of wine and two shared sides. The only positive was how well cooked the meats were and how tasty the wine was. Other than that, our experience was very strange. The strangest part or our experience was the use of potato off cuts in our roasted potato side - see picture below. I have never before seen potato fondant off cuts and bits of potato eye served to guests. It's really incomprehensible and unappetising. We ended up leaving the potato dish. The salad was also quite terrible - it literally looked like a Coles pre chopped salad mix that was topped with a few sprigs of dill and some goats cheese. The leaves were barely dressed and very plain tasting. Onto the main meals, which ended up being quite odd as well. The cuts of meat were very tasty and well seasoned. The biggest negative was the random pastry basket served with the pork and holding chopped apple. The basket was pale, undercooked and soggy. It didn't really add anything to the dish. The duck dish was also a bit odd with an undercooked cannelloni filled with pulled duck and cabbage. This was bland and underseasoned also. While both dishes looked pretty, they left much to be desired and not worth the cost or effort. Overall, we would not be back and we wouldn't recommend to others. There are much better choices in the Yarra Valley (and much better luxury escape deals as well). Be warned.

Beautiful Vinyard with celler door and restaurant. Simple elegant feels with vase space. We went to cellar door to get a cheese platter and a glass of wine as we arrived too early for our lunch booking. There are a small number of outside table for you to enjoy the cheese board and wine and it was super delicious. The celler door staff was super friendly and professional, compared to my recent visit to Pt.Leo celler door where staff would just ignored you. We then moved to the restaurant after we finished the cheese board. Lovely open space in the restaurant area with glass wall from floor to ceiling open to the landscape! I was going to do the 3 courses and finish with dessert to share with my partner but the food size was really substantial I was way too full and couldn't even finish my fish main. 😞 My entree of scallops with bacon was so good, a little too much of pumpkin. The barramundi with eels mashed was very tasty as well, but also feel like there are too many things on the plates. Overall I enjoyed my food. My husband entree was great but the main is a little bland. Definitely recommend the cellar door for wine tasting and cheese platter for chill out outdoor on a good sunny day 😎🌞

Herd is a cozy spot with a warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food and drinks. The owners, Robyn and Toby, took over just before the pandemic hit in 2020 and have since made it the top hospitality venue in the Yarra Valley. For vegetarians, there are several options nearby including Herd Bar & Grill and Immerse Restaurant. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy vegan chocolate treats at Yarra Valley Chocolateries.
Fantastic experience all round. Food, service and atmosphere. Really lovely ambience and decor, lighting was lovely, not too bright and not too many people paked in. We were welcomed and checked in at the bar by a nice friendly guy, who got a waitress to take us to our table. This waitress was amazing at her job. It was our first visit so she explained about the place, and went through the menu with us. So natural and attentive throughout the meal without being over the top. Rob enjoyed his icy cold blonde ale, while i had an elderberry mocktail, lovely. We had an oyster each, I wouldn't bother with the chilli jam next time, just the lemon. Then an amazing leek and cheese croquette with a home made gribishe sauce. We could have eaten 10 of em. Rob has the Chang Mai style slow cooked lamb curry, that was melt in the mouth, super tasty and just right spice level. Having eaten in Chang Mai I can vouch for it. I had the duck leg with coconut rice and papaya salad. Duck was perfection. The rice a little bit rich for me, but still ate it. And the papaya salad was lovely. Don't miss out on this experience if in the area.

The ambience of this restaurant was calming and romantic with dimmed lighting and music that enhanced the whole dininig experience. Most importantly, we were delighted to be served by professional and friendly staff who made us feel at home instantly. Food was meticulously prepared, steaks were cooked to perfection and done just right as requested. The fried squid was delicious and cooked just right without feeling like rubber and overly chewy. Overall, this is a great place to dine for special and family occasions. 5 stars and worth recommendation!!! A great restaurant that added to our great travel experience to Melbourne and Healesville!!

Another spontaneous dining experience while in the area with clients attending a wedding at nearby Zonzo Estate. Enjoyed a delicious meal of a Porterhouse steak and then a comfort food dessert! Was attentively served by the owner /manager Chris. It was early on a Sunday night that I dined so the vibe was quiet which suited me fine! Definitely recommended as a place to dine as a solo, couple or a group.

We came here for Father’s Day lunch and were really impressed by the atmosphere. The food was delicious, and I loved the simple menu with just the right amount of options. Our recommended dishes: porterhouse steak, herd burger, and yellow chicken curry. Another great touch is that they offer digital receipts at checkout. Next time you’re paying, don’t forget to grab your digital receipt via 1receipt!

We booked for 3 adults two days in advance and visited Herd for a lunch on Father’s Day. The service was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming, which made for a pleasant celebration. The food was good overall. The steak was nicely cooked but the portion was quite small for the $49 price tag. The Thai yellow curry was full of flavour (but so chilli) , and the burger was solid as well. The best dish, however, was the calamari entrée — definitely the highlight of our meal. The only drawback was the limited variety of dishes on the menu. Prices were on the higher side, but the quality was clear. Worth a visit, especially if you don’t mind a smaller selection

Just celebrated our 19 year anniversary and man it was good! The food was outstanding! We had the oysters and they were so fresh and delicious.... the mains we shared the crab salad and the porterhouse and every mouthful was divine! The cran Salad especially was something special... I will definitely go back again and again just to have that quality of food! The service was excellent, and the new owners were obviously working their butts off to achieve this level of service and they should be very proud of themselves! Chris and Charlotte are legends!

Zonzo Estate Yarra Valley is a charming Italian restaurant offering traditional cuisine in a spacious setting with a cozy fireplace and stunning vineyard views. The menu features classic Italian dishes like wood-fired pizza, arancini, meatballs, and gnocchi, as well as delectable desserts including affogato, panna cotta, tiramisu, and cannoli. Families can enjoy the kids' menu while taking in the picturesque countryside views.
Quite a bustling restaurant here in the Yarra Valley area. Nothing much to see here during the winter period. The restaurant is pretty big but still fills up on a weekday lunch. The food here is not bad, we had pizza and pasta and honestly they were quite good. We paired it with a glass of wine and also som oysters for starter. The oysters are fresh and decently sized. I will recommend to make reservations before coming. And although the vineyard looks bare during winter, the outdoor is still great for photos

First place on my list whenever going for a winery day trip. Beautiful views, amazing services, well maintenance overall, pizza and pasta are highly recommended. Just one hour driving from Melbourne. Close to chocolate factory and plants nursery - worthy to pass by after the meal. Some charges were taken from credit card for table reserves.

We order the special Winter Sunday. Minestrone soup was good but the beans inside were not cooked at all. Homemade Bread is good but only a one little piece per person, you have to pay for more bread, salted butter is really good. Lamb was dry, chewy and the portion was really small. Potatoes was cold. Vegetable really good. Dessert, Catalan cream, add extra10$ for this, is quite good but we wait 35min to receive it. 60$/each the menu + 10$ for dessert Quite expensive for this quality and nothing to do with the picture you can see on the google page of the restaurant. Waiter were really nice and smiling btw.

Lovely setting and very nice wines but restaurant was extremely disappointing. The entree marrow was drowning in salt and oil and my steak was overcooked. I ordered rare and it was cooked well beyond medium - quite dry with no flowing juices at all. And charged $70 for this!! Dessert was good but not enough to make up for the rest of the overpriced poorly cooked meal. Definitely not recommended and we will not be back

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely long luxurious lunch at Tokar today with the most thoughtful, attentive and friendly service from Isabella and Ethan. Barbecued quail and Confit Duck for the win! The Sous Vide Lamb Shoulder was also good, very tender! Our server Josel was the best! He was very accommodating, had extensive knowledge of the food and the different wines, and had a good overall wonderful customer service! Look for him when you go there. The last stop in our wine tour finished with another good selection of wine for tasting. It's another well oiled commercial wine producer. They were understanding that this was our fourth and last stop, providing us with a long table and chairs to sit on while doing our wine tasting (the prior 3 others had us standing and tasting). Likely to avoid any of us being imbalanced and falling. 😂 Again, another good selection of wine but externally, nothing outside the building that's unique to enjoy.
Layar J — Google review
If you are coming for a day trip, wine tasting, social group, you should have a good time, it's got a lovely atmosphere. If you join a tour, your tour guide will be able to arrange a main course, chips and a glass of wine for $50, which is better value than ordering separately. The wine tasting venue is this beautiful underground facility and we ate slow cooked beef, duck and fish and entree is quail.
Janet T — Google review
This weekend, hubby and I booked a Yarra Valley tour to play tourists in our own city. We love this region—visit multiple times a year—and wanted to see it through the eyes of a first-timer. Unfortunately, our first stop was Rochford… and it was a letdown from the start. As a passionate wine lover who’s tasted across Australia, NZ, Europe, South Africa and beyond, I’ve never come across a wine tasting that felt this lifeless. The lady running our tasting clearly didn’t want to be there—zero enthusiasm, no passion, and visibly irritated when asked questions. It was a quick, clinical pour-and-go with barely any interaction apart from a rehashed line. What’s worse? We had to spend more time at their shop than at the tasting itself—which says a lot. Even then, the lady took 10 minutes to ring up my husband’s wine purchase and had to make calls to work out their system. The vibe was cold, the space was sterile, and the wines were underwhelming. It honestly made me so sad. You could tell no one in the Go West tour group enjoyed it. And it breaks my heart that this might be a tourist’s only taste of the Yarra Valley (as apart from the gin distillery this particular tour doesn’t visit any other wineries, wild isn’t it???), when this region has so much to offer in warmth, quality, and character. Rochford just didn’t show up.

Just an all round great venue! We had a booking for 16pax which they accommodated for us in the front room, but they also have a function room & an outdoor, dog friendly space. Food & drinks were delicious & very reasonably priced, generous portions & great menu selection also. Excellent craft beers & ciders on tap, tasting paddles available for both. Great atmosphere with a casual, welcoming vibe. The staff are amazing too, super friendly & attentive without being intrusive. Even their coffee is perfect! Our booking was for a birthday celebration & the bartender comped the birthday girl a glass of wine at one stage & also gave her a free bottle of the same wine after we settled our bill. It was a sweet gesture & a demonstration of just how lovely the staff are. So whether you’re looking for a function venue, a lunch or dinner or just a casual drink, I cannot recommend this brewery highly enough. I will definitely be back!

Decent spot for a luncho. Brewery burger was good, chips super crispy, slightly too salty but goes well with some sauce. Burger was probably just a bit too small for its price, but flavours are all there. Bit hard to move around in the outdoor covered area with benches, if you're running with a big table.

Popped into the cellar door to enjoy the $20 tasting of 5 wines (then refunded against bottles purchased) then onto the restaurant to enjoy the Estate Menu. Food was amazing, staff friendly and attentive and the fireplace cosy - cannot have asked for more!
CJ M — Google review
We booked the 3-course lunch with matching wines for our girls’ weekend, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better, truly 5-star quality and flavour. The wine pairings were perfectly matched and elevated every course. The service throughout lunch was warm and attentive, making the experience feel special. We did have a small issue with the bill at the end, as there was some confusion between what I had booked (confirmed over email) and what was charged on the day. This was a little disappointing, but aside from that, everything else was wonderful. TarraWarra is a beautiful spot for a long, indulgent lunch, and I’d happily return.

The charcuterie board and wines are a refreshing treat after a drive through the winding hills. But don’t drink too much! The outdoor dining area is dog friendly. The food and wine from cellar door is reasonable price for the venue and view of the surrounding garden and small lake. Highly recommended this location for a date but it is also great for kids to run around.

My second time here at Tarrawarra for a birthday celebration, and the food and wine were phenomenal and very clever. I love the different flavours, and they accomodate my husband for a plant-based meals. Fantastic!

The Stables is such a beautiful venue, perfect for a romantic dinner. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and attentive. The food was a 4 course degustation menu and was well thought out and perfect in size that we were fulfilled but not rolling out. Amazing fresh food with beautiful flavours and to look at. Wine was too notch too. Highly recommended for a beautiful dinner and romantic escape

A rustic venue that keeps it simple. The flavours were complex, yet the ingredients simple and locally sourced. We chose the 3 course Summer Lunch Menu. We had been there before a while ago for dinner and knew we were getting our money’s worth when we chose the menu. The quantities were just right! Not minimal wanting more and not too much that we had to skip desert. The staff were friendly, professional, courteous and wasn’t rushed. They knew the menu items in detail. They took time to explain the various dishes, kept the glasses full and remembered all our drink order to refills. Choosing Stones for a special occasion will definitely not disappoint! Looking forward to going there again!

With seasonal menu updates and consistently high-quality food, this spot is perfect for a delightful brunch experience. A gem in Lilydale 💎 The warmth of the interior contrasted beautifully with the chilly weather outside. The space was cozy yet stylish, with a welcoming atmosphere that hinted at the care and attention poured into every aspect of the establishment. The menu was nothing less than spectacular. Each dish we ordered arrived at the table artfully presented. Flavors were well-balanced, textures thoughtfully considered, and portions generous without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why dining out can be such a joy. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it’s well worth a visit.

We came across this place on a Sunday morning drive. Great coffee, busy morning and service was friendly. The Apple Pie French toast was superb so much so we both ordered them and a great combination of flavours and it was not too sweet
Jamie S — Google review
This dish was an absolute delight! The plate was beautifully balanced with a generous serving of tender, slow-cooked shredded meat that was packed with flavour and perfectly seasoned. The fries were crisp and spiced just right, adding a comforting crunch alongside the soft, warm pita bread. The fresh greens and creamy dollop of herbed yogurt sauce brought brightness and freshness, while the smoky red dip at the base tied everything together with a rich, savoury kick. Not only was the presentation vibrant and inviting, but each element complemented the others perfectly—crispy, soft, fresh, and savoury all in one bite. A hearty, satisfying meal that leaves you full but wanting to come back for more. Highly recommend!

We’ve been to this cafe multiple times now and it never disappoints. Great food and friendly service. The place is so good, be prepared to wait in line on busy days, but it’s worth it! Nice buzz inside, but I found the music is a just a tad loud. If you’re in Lilydale - Hutch & Co is definitely worth a visit!

One of the best cafe experiences I’ve had in Victoria! I ordered the corn fritters and honestly, they were the best I’ve ever had perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and paired with a salad that was fresh, vibrant, and just too good. We were a group of 8 and tried a variety of dishes from the cheese and tomato toastie to the avocado smash and of course, the standout corn fritters. Every single dish was spot on. Even the fries were hot, crunchy, and seasoned just right. It’s rare to find a cafe where everything on the table tastes amazing but this place nailed it. Highly recommend!

Had brunch at Hutch & Co Café in Lilydale and loved it! The food was super tasty, portions were generous, and the presentation was spot on. The vibe was perfect modern, cosy, and full of good energy. Eleonore's Restaurant at Chateau Yering offers a modern Australian fine dining experience within the historic walls of an 1850s building. The restaurant boasts plush, old-world decor and stunning vineyard views. Executive Chef Mark Ebbels curates five-course tasting menus featuring dishes like suckling pig with eel, apple, and shiitake. The venue also provides options for omnivores and vegans, with sommeliers expertly pairing wines with each dish.
Wonderful dinner! The flavours were well balanced and light, ingredients fresh and curated. Yering wine, excellent! The portions were perfect, had the three course with a side and we cleaned our plate. Visited for valentines and the team made the night feel very special. Mussel and crab entree 11/10. The pork was nicely cooked, recommend. We were seated in Phil’s section and he was an absolute delight.

Dining at Eleonore’s Restaurant is a must. Their two- and three-course menus offer a fantastic selection, with every dish bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. Every dish we had was well-balanced and delicious - kudos to the chef for the passion they put into each dish to make it shine. The venue exuded romance, and for those who appreciate high-quality food made with locally sourced produce, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. A special thanks to Phil, who truly went above and beyond in looking after us. His attentiveness made our experience even more memorable.

Have been going to Eleanore’s Restaurant for our last 2 years Christmas work parties. Yesterday we tried the lunch for a farewell to a colleague. Service has always been fantastic, the staff go above and beyond. The food is always sensational and the presentation is amazing. We love the atmosphere and the chairs are super comfy. The ambience is cozy and you can hear everyone at the table without having to shout. Having coffee by the fireplace in the lounge after lunch just topped off our experience. No doubt we will be back again for our Christmas party and we can’t wait.

Decided to go out for brunch and looked at this place because of the cute name, and the menu looked great. Got there for a busy Sunday morning but they were able to seat us. Staff were friendly and effective despite how busy it was. Coffee and food both came out quickly. The coffee was the best I've had in a cafe at a long time, and the dishes were excellently prepared and tasted great! Price was very good for the quality of the food. Can't wait to come back! Update: came back to the new menu and they've redesigned the interior and it's better! Food and coffee still great. Service excellent.

We went here for Mother's Day today, we had a booking for outside, and it took a little bit to get the order taken. The menu on the website is their old menu but they also had their old menu in the restaurant, but you couldn't order off of it, but it was given to a few tables by mistake and some tables were annoyed. Just remove the menus and take them out the back? Anyways, there are a few vegan items on the menu, the item I wanted was the 'vegan option' so I asked what the vegan option was and the waiter said 'I actually don't know, I'm quite new here'. When I worked in hospitality we were not allowed to tell tables we were new as that is a poor excuse for not knowing something, just say I will find out and come back. He went to ask and came back and said they just remove the poached eggs. Which the vegan community hates because why should we not get it replaced with something if we are paying the same price, the eggs are $7 but we are paying the same, uh no thank you, so I asked if I could have them replaced with the scrambled tofu and he said that should be fine. He was very nice just needed more training. The food tasted delicious and definitely made up for the service, although the scrambled tofu was small, like a 1/4 cup worth, so that was very disappointing. for $7 I'd expect a minimum of a cup worth as tofu is cheap. The restaurant was poorly organised today, staff seem to need more training, there was a very long wait to pay and there were 4 staff members just hanging out at the coffee machine. I like the area the cafe is in and the interior is modern and there are a lot of nice little things to buy for home. It is a 25-minute drive from my home so if the service was better, prices aren't bad, a little on the higher end, would adjust prices for vegan options or have a replacement for non vegan food. I'd definitely try again because the taste of food is worth it.

Beautiful winery with amazing food. We enjoyed every single dish that was served, it was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were very good compared to most of the wineries where you end up stopping at Maccas on your way home from Yarra Valley 😂 We had the grilled Octopus, Terrine for Entrée Pork and Beef for Mains and finally the dark chocolate mousse and Bomb Alaska for dessert. Throughout the event, Sara's warm and welcoming demeanor made everyone feel at ease, fostering an atmosphere of joy and celebration. She went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests and ensured that every little detail was taken care of, leaving no room for worry or stress. The staff at Bianchet Winery were equally impressive, providing top-notch service and hospitality to all the guests. The seamless coordination between the team and the event vendors, including the entertainment provided by SIFA Events, contributed to an unforgettable evening that will be cherished by everyone involved. If you are considering hosting an event at Bianchet Winery, I wholeheartedly recommend working with Sara. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence shine through in every aspect of her work. It is evident that she genuinely cares about making each event a memorable experience for all. Thank you, Sara, and the entire team at Bianchet Winery, for making Dani and AJ's wedding a resounding success. Had a two course meal here, wish we’d had more time so I could have had the dessert too! Everything was delicious, however I ordered a rare steak and my friend ordered medium-to-well-done, but we both got medium-rare.. hers was arguably more pink than mine! It was still delicious for me but she left most of hers. Will be back all the same :-)

Sep 2022: Amazing cute dining room with floor to ceiling glass and excellent views. All the food was excellent. Quail, steak, Murray cod. And the wine. Would have stayed longer if didn't have to drive and stop drinking! Note: the quaik stater had massive raisins / sultanas in it which I don't like. Didn't say it on the menu (I think - unless they have a different name I don't know of). Not enough to lose a star but the menu should list all ingredients.

It offers a great atmosphere with beautiful lighting and a family-friendly environment. Despite being busy, the staff provide attentive service, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for families and friends.
Busy restaurant with surprisingly fast service and friendly staff. Really enjoyed my pizza. Good steak but not matching the price. Generous chips servings. On a busy weekend book ahead, and mind the clock because there will be multiple bookings after you. Before or after go for a wine tasting at St Hubert's Cellar Door which is in the building next to the restaurant.

We've eaten here multiple times, familiar food and well cooked. The space is big, good for small and larger groups. Blackened pork chops and apple pudding were the stand outs on the last visit. We've ordered spicy hummus with garlic pizza every visit, however this time it seems to be lacking flavour.

I had a fantastic experience at Quarters in Yarra Valley. We stopped here for lunch. A lot of food choices - chicken, fish, veggies, pizza, burger, ice cream.. The food was excellent—especially the chicken wings, which were full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Ordering and paying was a breeze with their simple online system, making everything quick and convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming. After a delicious lunch, I visited the cellar for a relaxed wine tasting, followed by a stroll through the art gallery. I’d definitely return with family and friends—highly recommended!

Food was really good. Must get the wings but wished they had bigger portions available. They have empty seats for walk in when we visited on a weekday but they get busy on the weekend so be sure to reserve your table beforehand. We ordered: 🍗Spiced Fried Chicken Wings - must order :) 🍕Potato pizza - interesting, but onions a tad too sweet for me but overall was great. Especially the pizza dough) 🍄Mushroom risotto - good, love the extra fried enoki to give it some texture 🦐Saffron Prawn Campanelle - Prawns were fresh, butterflied. Really enjoyed the dish.

Dropped by Hubert’s on the 27th of July and it was absolutely stunning! Loved the vibe, ambiance and food. My friends keep talking about how good the pizza is here…well they surely are right! However, if you enjoy some juicy hot chicken wings, they surely were my personal favourite… A must visit if you’re in the Yarra and looking for delicious Pizza, an upbeat vibe and chic interiors with an open kitchen where you can watch all these delicious pizzas being made too. Will surely come back for the food.

St Huberts is a vineyard with a long history in Yarra Valley. They have undergone a significant redevelopment and reopened their door as Hubert Estate since 2022. Hubert Estate comprises of St Huberts Cellar Door, the Quarters Australian Restaurant, the Harriett Wedding & Event Centre, and The Gallery of Art. I visited the Quarters for dinner during Easter Holy Saturday on 19 April. It is a very popular restaurant in Yarra Valley, so I made a reservation in advance. I arrived 30 minutes earlier, but the staff was very helpful and attentive. She re-arranged a table for us so that we could sit down 30 minutes earlier than our original booking. The Quarters mainly offers modern Australian and European-inspired dishes, and the signatures are their handmade pasta and woodfired pizza. All the dishes that we ordered were served quickly and they were very delicious. Even the bill had been charged 15% for public holiday surcharge, but we were satisfied with everything that they offered, including the ambience, the quality of food, the outdoor environment and the art gallery etc. I highly recommend this restaurant for family dinner on Saturday. Perhaps the best arrangement is arriving at Saturday afternoon say 3:30 pm or 3:45 pm (last wine tasting is 3:45 pm on Sat) to enjoy a wine tasting before dinner, then enjoy the sunset from the little crest and let the children to run / roll down from the crest before dinner would be absolutely fantastic.

Genuine 5 stars across the board. The food was delightful and not expensive. The ambiance was lovely and the staff were warm and friendly. Will be back for sure to try more menu items!

We were absolutely thrilled with the catering for our wedding. The food was outstanding, and many of our guests came to tell us how much they enjoyed it. The lamb was so tender, the fish was flavorful, and even the carrots were melt in your mouth yummy. They were also very accommodating and adaptable in terms of serving dishes at different times and in different areas to suit our schedule. We made quite a few last-minute changes, but they handled everything calmly and efficiently. We had both cocktail canapes and sit down reception at our wedding and they organised everything seamlessly with fresh and warm food despite the cold outdoor setting. The quality and attention to detail really stood out, and the service helped create such a warm, enjoyable atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for better service. Highly recommend them to anyone planning an event!

Just had a wonderful brunch at Locavore. The decor and atmosphere are lovely, the service was friendly and prompt and the food was fresh, high standard and beautifully presented. The best brunch experience for a long time. I just wish we weren't passing through as I'd visit every week otherwise. A lovely start to a sunny Sunday morning!

Had breakfast here with my cousin. We both had the Fried Chicken Benny. It was something different, and we both enjoyed it. Wish I lived closer so I could have it again. Well, it's worth a visit if you are feeling peckish and in the area. Coffee was good as well.

Food was exquisite! It left a lasting impression as my hubby was still raving about it 3 hours later, claiming that his burps still tasted like the food and it was making him want to go back for seconds 🤣 The cafe was much classier than this comment lol!

After a pleasant stay in Lilydale our group of 4 wanted a good cafe experience to leave on. We got it. It was already popular at 10am on this Sunday - plenty of seats (in and out) meant no wait. The peak hour was 10.30 to 11.30 We stayed long enough to see the numbers ease off by noon. Food was colourful and tasty. Coffee (long black) was excellent. Staff were smiley and friendly and efficient. This place has a 4.5 rating currently. This would be my rating if you could give half marks. Adjoining the cafe is a providore offering all sorts of fun stuff like cheese, pastries, jams and other tasty looking treats made locally. They are not cheap. What they are is good quality and worth paying extra for.

Heartswood is a charming and laid-back cafe and restaurant located in the historic bank building of Yarra Glen. The place offers a unique dining experience with a focus on breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. The establishment boasts a groovy atmosphere with period features, a funky back courtyard, and a touch of inner-city Melbourne cafe culture.
A very lovely restaurant with amazing great food. The best chicken schnitzel I’ve tasted. Extremely moist and tender chicken with a good balance of crispy crunch and softness. Delicious John’s mushroom toast. The waffles were beautifully decorated. Amazing vanilla ice cream and vanilla cream with the sweetness of the fairy floss that accompanied the waffles made it special. Their homemade tomato sauce is one of a kind 👍. The interior dining area is pleasant and cozy. Would suggest to have table umbrellas for the outside tables that don’t have them. The fine tiny flowers drops into the food/drinks and table. Excellent service from Noah 👏. May have to wait for a table but definitely worth waiting. Highly recommend😀

Awesome food and service. Everything we had for breakfast tasted delicious. The thick cut bacon was fabulous. The duck, eggs, hasbrown, tomato relish etc. all tasted great. The service was also top notch. We truly enjoyed the breakfast at this cozy place.

What can I say? Absolutely brilliant. I don't think I've ever felt as satisfied as I was in my life. We ordered the Chicken Schnitzel and Porterhouse. Oh boy oh boy, absolutely cracking flavours. Tender steak, juicy chicken, and mind you, this was a thick piece of chicken. The slaw served with the chicken was exquisitely delicious. The salad was equally tasty with the steak. The fries were incredible, crispy, well seasoned and that perfect crunch. Superb. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Also, should add, the iced long black was soooo good. The flat white was alright. The only con would be the slow service, but regardless of that, this place is perfect!!! Highly recommend for anyone in the area to come here for a brunch or lunch.

Truly a sensational dining experience inside a stunning heritage bank building packed with period features and a laid back blues vibe! The hospitality was first class (we were well looked after and not rushed - which is a refreshing change these days)! The wait staff were friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The food is the clear hero here (the pictures don’t lie!). Quality local ingredients, cleverly paired and executed to perfection. Every dish was a killer and a joy to eat. A super impressive effort by an extra talented team. Our cocktails were delicious and the local wines perfectly matched our meals, all adding to the first class experience. We sat in the intimate front dining area and fully enjoyed ourselves! 5 stars without a doubt and the chef’s hat is well deserved!

We were in town for the racecourse market and googled brunch options. The website reviews looked good but the menu on their website was not the one they currently have. But we weren’t too disappointed as the son in law eggs sounded good. They weren’t. Eggs were almost hard boiled, roti was luke-warm and soggy. Random herbs on top with no dressing or sauce at all (we had asked for a side of hollandaise but the waiter checked with the chef and said that couldn’t be done) perhaps that would have rescued this bland and uninspiring dish, but probably not. Staff seemed distracted and demotivated. Not sure what other reviewers saw here.

We’ve had such a great lunch at Heartswood! The portions were super generous, I really enjoyed the crispness of my schnitty paired up with a nice slaw that helped cut the oiliness of the butter sauce. My partner had the son in law eggs which was really good, sweet from the caramel sauce and fresh from the herbs.

We enjoyed the New Years Eve dinner at Heartswood and our expectations were surpassed. Every single dish was absolutely delicious & the portions were excellent. It was the 5 course dinner but we felt it was more of a 10 course degustation. It was fantastic value & in reality would have expected to pay much more for this quality and amount of food. The menu and photos do not do the food justice!

We stoped at Heartwood for some takeaway coffee and cake while on our way to Mansfield. Nice little café restaurants with a great vibe and a good looking menu. I loved the old architectural building, when you step inside it takes you back in time. We ordered takeaway coffee and hot chocolate and some cake for the kids. coffee was great, although it took over 30 mins to get the coffee. Love to come back for a meal and enjoy the colonial vibe of the place.

Guests can enjoy long lunches with breathtaking views and delicious three-course meal options. The staff are highly praised for their exceptional service, adding to the fantastic dining experience.
Visited this restaurant for the first time. It is a lovely place to escape from the city rat race for a day. There is a cellar with many local products for sale in addition to wine of course. The restaurant is exactly matched to its online descriptions: An upscale atmosphere completed with professionalism, genuine smiles and not to mention three and two course options full of enjoyable tastes. There are also some unique scenery around the resorts for a short walk after the meal. Totally recommended for couples, families and even larger groups. Room for improvement: Acoustics of the restaurant Appreciation: prompt action to recover the mistake in my card payment.

Truly remarkable experience here with Balgownie Estate! Wine tasting session is so fun with Jenny! She's so friendly and kind, informative as well in explaining what Balgownie has! We had almost 5-6 of their signature wines and I ultimately love the sparkling wine! Sad to say this can only be purchase in Yarra Valley. Gonna missed this place and their wine for sure, but will surely come back! We opt in for lunch after the wine tasting session and it was really a great lunch! Must order brownie to mark the closure of wine tasting session here.

Great spot for a special dinner in Yarra Valley. The food is very good and the wine list matches the food well and is surprisingly well priced (as in not as expensive as you might expect) The waiters were really good, engaging and helpful and made the meal that extra special (Thanks Conor!)

TL;DR Overpriced and under-done. Do the cellar door tasting instead. Long version: At $74 for three small courses I was expecting better quality and service. The only great things we had were the pavlova and the estate pinot noir. The pumpkin tart entree, crispy pork belly, and spiced creme brulee were good (but not great). My friend was unimpressed with the oysters, they weren't bad, but they weren't as good as oysters they'd had at multiple inner city bars and restaurants. The beetroot risotto was nice but lukewarm. When trying to get the attention of waiters/waitresses were felt like we were invisible.

Went for the tastings — 6 pours for $15 which was very good. We got to choose from a big selection. Really loved their blanc de blanc sparkling wine and their Riesling. The reds are great too— esp their Cabernet Sauvignons.

I could not say about the rooms personally as we went to the bistro. But a young girl I met on the train ride earlier said they were very nice much better than another place she had been, so I gave a 5 for her. The bistro was great. Great service and fantastic food. Really comfortable seats (which is not often the case in restaurants/bistros). Well worth a visit. All 4 of us were very happy with our meals and the prices were fair. All in all, a good night out.

Having been here for many family birthdays over the years we were shocked to be charged a fee for “cakeage” for bringing our own cake. We were not a small party on Anzac Day. We were not warned of this prior and would have booked elsewhere had we known. We also had to pay a 15% public holiday surcharge….. which compounds how unfair this charge is. We won’t be back, the food is not worth all of the extra cost!

Emerald City offers an intimate and engaging dining experience with fabulous Yarra Valley produce and a fantastic display of regional wines. The chef, Joel, creates a personal and vibrant atmosphere with outstanding beverage pairings that complement the delicious journey of food. Guests praise the unique and divine dining experience, highlighting Joel's mastery of his craft and the enjoyable evening he provides. This restaurant is highly recommended for those seeking a special and inspiring culinary adventure.
We booked Emerald City in Healesville for a birthday dinner and from the moment we slipped behind those dark curtains it felt like we’d stepped into something truly special. Joel greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel right at home, like we’d wandered into a mate’s kitchen rather than a restaurant. Emerald City in Healesville nailed it! Every dish scored 10/10, with locally sourced produce and a tale to each dish, the warm grilled Halloumi, the wagyu main and that dessert left us craving more. Joel and his team made it warm and personal; can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful night with a great companions in a very cool setting and lovely food and drinks! A little hidden chef table in the kitchen behind the Cavanagh's Whisky bar. Joel was an amazing chef and host of his very pretty kitchen! I love the green glass light decorating the room 💚🧩❇️! The set menu was $175 per person and seasonal, I think it was more like a feed me menu rather than set menu as there was no actual set number of the food provided. We had an entree plate of 3 bites🥚🧀, a bowl of fresh vegs with sesame dressing, some 🍠 sweet potato tempura, roasted pumpkin with reduction sauce, 🥩 steak for main, a palette cleanser of frozen Yuzu 🍋, and 2 desserts to finish off the meal. I also really love the drinks pairing of $95 combine of different drinks from cocktails, wines, mead, and spirit! 🍹🥃🍷 For me as a woman, the amount of food provided was perfect, super delicious and very satisfied! Joel was absolutely lovely to chat to and the whole dinner was so fun and comfortable!

Unique dining experience with your own private chef. Enter the dark and mysterious world of the Emerald City through Cavanagh’s Whisky & Alehouse in front, and through the thick dark curtains into the smallest of private areas where a slab table separates kitchen and dining, allowing conversation with Joel who chats away happily while preparing your meal and discussing the finer points of the meal and expanding on his knowledge of Healesville and surrounds. Very comfortable atmosphere and the meal is right up there, not only looking good, but really special, full of flavour and augmented beautifully with the accompanying wines. Maximum number of diners is four, but we were two and enjoyed the one on one with the chef Joel. Special experience…many thanks. We also spent an hour or so at Cavanagh’s afterwards, tasting a variety of whiskies and enjoying the bar tender’s knowledge and educational choices…good fun. Also, if struggling for a park, there is two hour parking available in the side streets.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Emerald City, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Joel and his team made us feel right at home with their friendly demeanor and exceptional service. Joel, the chef and owner, truly is a culinary wizard! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The four-seating dining experience added a unique touch, allowing us to connect with the other couple next to us . By the end of the night, we had formed new friendships, sharing laughter and stories over a delicious meal. The entire evening felt special, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience with fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere, Emerald City is the place to be! I can’t wait to return! 🌟

The ultimate intimate restaurant experience. Serving only 4 people this is referred to as "The world's smallest restaurant". Out the back of a Whiskey Bar this small dining space is the finest dining in Healesville. From the beginning each bite is an exquisite flavour explosion. Starting with the complexity of single bite appetisers moving through the simplicity of a perfectly cooked steak. Watching the chef at work you become a part of an incredible culinary journey. Take the drink pairing option to have a complete decision free experience. Consider this experience a "must" when visiting Healesville.

Nestled between Yarra Glen and Healesville, Meletos is a regional cafe housed in charming farm buildings with high gabled ceilings. The restaurant offers modern European fine dining with panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards. It is part of the Stones of the Yarra Valley property and shares its space with the Napoleone Brewery & Ciderhouse. The menu celebrates local produce, featuring wood-fired pizzas, regional Victorian delights, and a variety of snacks and larger seasonal dishes.
The lady at the antique shop in Yarra Glen recommended Meletos to us—and she was absolutely right! What a stunning place. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive. Took my partner here for lunch to celebrate his Birthday. It is a stunning spot, great atmosphere, great food and the staff were lovely. We noticed strait away the size of the tables! Not often you get a decent sized table for 2 people, really happy with that. The food was spectacular, well presented and delicious. I found it to be a little overpriced, but it was a special occasion and a once off

Beautiful venue with lovely setting and view. Service was great during dinner. The entrees tasted delicious, but main course were under seasoned and lacked flavour, especially the gnocchi dish, it was cold and tasted like fried bread. Not so tender beef ribs served with raw onion on top. The broccolini side dish was stringy and undercooked. For the price I expected the food to be much better.

I've been to Meletos in Yarra Valley Coldstream a number of times now, and the food has always been superb—consistently delicious and well-presented. It's a beautiful venue that offers a great atmosphere, especially for winery set lunches. However, my last two visits left me a bit disappointed, particularly when attending special occasions like a birthday and a bridal hens lunch. Unfortunately, they don’t allow decorations like balloons—even when tied discreetly behind a chair. While I understand the concern about them floating up to the ceiling in the barn-style setting, it would’ve been helpful if this policy was clearly noted on their website. Many people choose winery venues for celebratory events, so it’s worth mentioning upfront. I understand some restaurants have a cakeage charge which is another thing to be aware of at Melatos, there is the cakeage fee per person if you bring your own cake and use their cutlery, which we weren’t informed about until we arrived. On our most recent visit, the service also felt stretched. The floor manager seemed quite stressed and was a bit impatient with our group. The venue was very busy, and we didn’t have a consistent waiter—which made things disjointed. Requests like an extra fork, condiments for fries, or even getting a new drinks menu took multiple reminders or were forgotten altogether. While the venue and food are always a highlight, I think the experience could be improved by clearer communication of policies and more attentive, consistent service—especially on busy days.
Christine T — Google review
The restaurant is lovely and the service was excellent. However, there has been a noticeable change in the menu — most of the dishes are now cooked with wine, and unfortunately, there are very limited (or no) options available for Muslim diners. Some previous items, including certain pizzas and pasta dishes, have been removed from the menu. This limits the dining experience for those with dietary restrictions.

We had a wonderful experience at Meletos. The staff are lovely and friendly, making you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. Professional and prompt. We were lucky we didn’t have to wait for a table! Although their menu isn’t vast, the quality of the food is superb. Our dishes were flavoursome and cooked perfectly. I simply cannot fault it. The atmosphere is lovely, not too loud and the venue itself is bright and spacious. We walked outside after our lunch and the views are amazing!

Food. Amazing. We ordered chicken liver with crispy bread & fig. Chicken liver was Tasty, salty, creamy, reminds me of a foie gras. The fig was so fresh, sweet and delicious. We also ordered duck ragu, with pappardelle, super juicy duck, not smelly, and the cheese was also good. Place was really great. Indoor and outdoor seating. Clean and very nice view. Service was good. Serving time was perfect, staff were nice, always smiling and asked us if the food was Ok and if we have any feedback.

On my 2 week holiday in Melb, I went to Meletos 3x. I drove straight to the restaurant from the airport to meet my family there, where we had the King Dory (top right of 1st pic) and the texture was amazing. Our memory of the KD was so fond that we scheduled another visit a week later where we were disappointed to hear that the KD was currently being replaced by Barramundi. Still, we ordered it to try and as expected, it was not as good. We decided to make another visit on the day I was to fly home and called ahead to ask if KD was on the menu for the day - the lady on the phone said no. We decided to go, nonetheless, and order other dishes like the duck ragu and the lamb neck which were really good the previous visits. Upon arriving, we asked the server if KD was available, and she said yes. We confirmed not once, not twice, but a total of 4 times including when the dish arrived and even after we had started tasting it to know it was for sure not KD. The server was adamant that it was KD even though we knew that it was Barramundi, but she said she would check with the kitchen. When she came back, she had claimed that the kitchen had made a switch to the menu and that she 'was not informed' by the kitchen - no apologies offered. She then said that they could have the items removed from the bill and that we could order other items if we should so desire - we decided to return one of the 2 plates of Barramundi (2nd and 3rd images). Her manager came to our table around 10 mins later and told us that while it is unfortunate that our items did not come as expected, because we 'have eaten' one of the plates, they would be unable to remove that from the bill. I would think that after asking them 4 times whether they are serving the correct item, that the very least they could do is leave the dish while writing it off. This is still not considering the fact that they were trying to substitute a cheaper fish for a more expensive dish. I did a walk around the other tables before we left and saw that a few other people had ordered the fish as well - no telling whether they were told it is King Dory or Barramundi. My sister resides in Melb and has been to Meletos no less than 10x in the past 3 years. I myself have been there a total of 5x in the past 3 years. It is disappointing to see an establishment that serves such good food be let down by this atrocious level of service. Both the server and the manager were not apologetic in the slightest and the manager was not subtle in hinting that the restaurant 'reserves the right to swap the fish'. Please do better.

CHANDON Australia, located in the Yarra Valley, stands out for its grand building and extensive selection of sparkling wines. Established in 1989 as part of Moet en Chandon's expansion strategy, it offers a unique French-inspired wining and dining experience. The winery boasts a large tasting room with a semicircular bar serving red, white, and sparkling wines for AUD$5 per tasting.
Wine was excellent. We took tasting experience. 3 different wines for 1 person. Sparkling wine was very good. Tastes rich, with very beautiful view. Service was really great. Staffs were friendly. We accidentally stopped by Chandon Australia on our way to somewhere in the mountains, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! First thing first, when I stepped into Chandon Australia, I actually thought I walked into an Asian wedding venue. Not even joking. I guess the crowd on that day just made it feel like I was back in Asia. Maybe because this place has gotten a bit too commercialised. It has that polished setup that feels like it was made for group tours and social media moments. But let’s talk about the food and drinks. I had the cheese fondue, and honestly, that was a very good choice. The texture was creamy, the flavours were rich, and it paired really well with their champagne. I did not expect that to be the highlight of my visit but it really was. Ambiance wise, it was beautiful. Big open views, nicely designed interiors, and plenty of space to sit and enjoy your drink without feeling rushed. You can tell they know people are coming for the photos just as much as the wine. Service was okay. Not bad but also not very personal. I guess that is what happens when a place gets too popular. Would I come back again? Maybe. Probably on a quieter weekday. It is still a lovely spot and the wine is no doubt good. But if you are hoping for something boutique and laid back, you might not get that here. Still, for a first visit with cheese fondue and champagne in hand, I would say it was a good afternoon out.

The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit winery in the Yarra Valley. 🥂🍇✨

Highly recommend this hidden gem in the Yarra Valley! Beautiful setting, excellent wines, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The food was also delicious! Can’t wait to visit again!

We had the pleasure of enjoying a truly delightful lunch today in celebration of a dear friend’s birthday. The cuisine was nothing short of exquisite, and the service was impeccable—our waiter’s warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely welcome and added a memorable touch to the occasion. The seating offered a lovely view, which made the experience all the more special. We shall most certainly return. Un grand merci for such a wonderful experience.

Worth trying the Andre Cab sav. its memorable. The John Dory done simply with butter and peppercorns was just yummy. Great staff, gorgeous restaurant and cellar in parklike grounds overlooking a small lake.
Tina N — Google review
Came here after a disappointing lunch at a nearby winery, and we are SO glad we did. The chicken liver pate was delicious and already better than our whole lunch experience. Wines were delicious, left with a few bottles. The Andre is definitely worth trying. Orange cake was good and moist. Overall would come back here again (and for a full meal next time)
David H — Google review
Excellent bistro dining and wine tasting experience. All staff were super friendly and attentive.
Matt T — Google review
Stunning location with picturesque views and very easy access from the main road. We met with a large group which was well catered for. Wines were delicious. We were treated by the history of the winery which originated in France. Absolute must to visit. Gluten free options were aplenty along with very friendly wait staff.

Lovely location to meet up with friends and family. The food is really good. We had the share plate. Some dishes can be substituted for the GF and Vegans in the group. The wines are quite nice. I’m not a big wine drinker but I really enjoyed the Pinot Noir. Nice place to go during a cold winters day.

We had a lovely lunch thank you! The food was excellent, duck melt in your mouth tender and the wine stunning as always. Service was excellent and nice to be called by name!

Restaurant
Many Hands Winery is situated on Maxwells Rd in Coldstream, Victoria. The restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team who serve some amazing Italian food with woodfired pizzas. Every table has incredible views of the winery, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal. Alcohol is served here and there's also free parking available.
We stumbled across this winery on a Friday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised. With both indoor and outdoor dining settings, we shared a woodfire pizza and gnocchi with blue cheese and pumpkin puree. It was magnifico! We enjoyed it so much we came back on Monday lunchtime. Yes, they’re open Monday at lunchtime! Their red wine was also a great drop that we bought two bottles as gifts after our meal. Thanks Tony and the team. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits.
Miss M — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish! This Italian gem delivers everything you could want—authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and impeccable service. The pasta was clearly homemade and cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and full of depth. The wine selection paired beautifully with our meal, and the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere felt like a cozy slice of Italy. Can’t wait to come back!
Sonam S — Google review
I don’t know if it was an off day but all the food was below average. I ordered the seafood linguini and the pasta wasn’t cooked. Everyone was pretty disappointed with all there dishes especially the seafood which turns out to be a seafood soup. The owner was really rude to the lady’s on the floor and they were doing their best during the busy period. The owner needs to stay away and concentrate on the cooking instead of trying to force us to order the all you can eat. Spending $600 is a big let down on those meals
Ernesto — Google review
Affordable and high quality food. Absolutely spoilt by the chef himself which is a rare sight compared to other wineries in the region. If you go to any winery in the area and you don't come here you're missing out because honestly there's nothing like it.

Four of us came for lunch and shared the Set Menu Feast, for $60 a head - amazing 🤩 We shared an antipasto plate, 2 wood fire a vegetable and a capricosa pizza, a rigatoni Italian meatball pasta, seafood marinara linguini pasta and cannoli’s. Everything was delicious but the seafood marinara linguini and capricosa pizza were a stand out. Lovely service too!! We will be back!!
Courtney H — Google review
Many Hands Winery offers a beautiful vineyard view and serene ambiance. Luke, our waiter, was friendly, attentive and informative. The Shiraz wine, Bread with Oil and Balsamic vinegar, Vegetarian pizza with Bocconcini salad, and Cannoli with coffee were all excellent. While the staff was pleasant, the owner’s treatment of them was disappointing.
Genevieve — Google review
Very poor customer service from the owner. We asked for a Moscato, but he brought us a completely different wine. He kept insisting on what else we would order, which made us feel uncomfortable. With that kind of attitude, we preferred to dine somewhere else. On a positive note, the waitresses were lovely and the pizza was delicious. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back. Hopefully, they can improve their communication and overall customer service in the future.
Tamara S — Google review
Second visit and significantly disappointed vs the first. Female staff all lovely and helpful. Male owner grumpy and demanding of staff, publicly swearing in front of customers and children. Margarita pizza was more tomato sauce than cheese. 15% Sunday surcharge. Generally average. The wine is lovely though.

The menu boasts a delightful array of dishes including crispy samosas, rich curries, fluffy naan breads, fragrant rice dishes, refreshing raita, and indulgent desserts that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
1st visit and I was impressed. Very tasty meal. As a family of 5 we enjoyed Tandoori Sampler, Veg. Korma, Chicken Tikka, Dhal Makhni, Naans and Saffron Rice. Each flavour separate and distinct, meats moist and flavour some. Small yet refreshingly neat and bright restaurant. Friendly staff.

Best Indian restaurant in the Yarra Valley! We only go here when we want indian takeaway. Friendly staff, great prices, absolutely amazing food! Highly recommend. We always order extra so we can take it for lunch the next day 👍 Located in Coldstream, and had a girls weekend close to the Knox area, and we still drove to Coldstream for their amazing food! Absolutely worth the drive. We love Singhs on the way. Highly recommend to anyone who loves indian food. We will definitely be back again. Thanks to all the staff at Singhs 😊👍
Kylie — Google review
Honestly the worst Indian meal I have ever experienced. We had butter chicken, lamb spinach and chicken korma and all 3 were so sweet it tasted as if we were eating sugar syrup. The assertion by the to put it frankly inane staff that a mild curry (or any curry!) should be a "sweet dish" not savoury is just ridiculous. Please do yourself a favour, do not go to this restaurant, there are many more in the local area that do a much better job.
YV D — Google review
We recently moved to Coldstream. We love Indian food so our family thought we’d give Singh on the way a try. So happy we did. Food was fantastic and prices really reasonable. Serve size is also great. All of our selections were delicious. We will definitely be back!
Debra E — Google review
We absolutely love Singhs! Ever since we moved to the Yarra Valley, we started ordering from here and have been blown away 😊 from their samosas, to curries, to breads, rices, raita and dessert - it’s all amazing. There’s nothing there we don’t enjoy and our two favourite curries are the palak paneer and prawn malai. Order from them, you will love it! Thank you Singhs team 🙏
Marjon B — Google review
The worst butter chicken I have ever had. Completely filled with sugar, the fact I can taste the sugar highly concerning. Do not order here, I was so disappointed! I never knew you could stuff up butter chicken but I've been proven wrong!!
Amber R — Google review
By far the worst Indian I have ever eaten. Used to be good, now it’s horrible. Extremely disappointed. Hardly any chicken just sauce filled with sugar. Won’t be back again. Will not be recommending like previously have.
Nathan P — Google review
I ordered online and paid. The order was accepted and l was given a delivery time via the app. Tried to call several times when the food didn't arrive. Drove to store and found it was closed. If you are not open close your ordering system and certainly don't acknowledge and accept the payment. I have eaten here previously, the food is good; pity the business is poorly run.

Coldstream Fish Bites is a beloved destination for those craving freshly prepared fish and chips, as well as mouthwatering souvlaki. Nestled in a cozy atmosphere, this charming eatery has garnered a reputation for its friendly service and generous portions that leave diners satisfied. The crispy fish is consistently praised, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Families particularly enjoy the tasty potato cakes that are sure to please kids of all ages.
Food is always good here but this time potato cakes and chips were particularly on point! We don't go anywhere else in the yarra valley when we're craving fish n chips, no one can beat these guys. Prices reasonable too. Nice park to sit at outside and public toilet behinds.
Mel M — Google review
In my view, the best fish and chips in the greater Lilydale area. Crumbed flake was on point, the battered fish and potato cakes weren't overly oily. Fish pieces were man sized. Fairly quick service though it does get busy Friday night of course. A few seats and old caravanning magazines to pass the time while you wait. Highly recommended.
Andrew M — Google review
My favourite fish & chip shop ever. The food is delicious, the best I’ve ever had. Every time I order it’s perfect! Prices & portions are fair, just right amount of salt, and tastes amazing!

We love this place! Been having dinner here once a week for the past 3 years. The shop itself doesn’t look anything fancy, but the fish and chips taste great. They also keep the prices cheaper than other shops in the area.

Awful! The batter on the fish was too thick and oily, and the chips were burnt. The staff seemed uninterested in providing good service. Definitely not recommending this place.

Bright, informal bistro with wooden decor & large windows, serving breakfast & European dishes.
Located right next to the car park, very accessible cafe. The mushroom is definitely the highlight, so fresh and juicy. Love the presentation of the food and there’s constant flow of people coming in for takeaway.

Food was great, especially the chicken Caesar salad. Big BF was not bad. Prices are in the normal market range, not very cheap. There are outdoor seatings (with umbrella) if you have a pet. Plenty of free parking. You can also take a stroll after meal at the nearby walking trail. Nothing much to comment or complain about the service. Just that I waited for quite awhile after seated outdoor and no one approaches us with the menu. I have to go into the cafe and when attempts to place an order, they said that they will come out for the table service. It wasn't crowded as it was on a weekday and it is past lunch time.

My husband and I went for dinner recently and it was fantastic. Delicious food (we got the Ricotta Gnocchi and Rigatoni Al Ragu D’Salscissa for dinner) and delicious coffee always. The manager, Sarah, is always so accommodating and lovely.

I had the pleasure of visiting Billy Goat Hill Brasserie this morning, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. I ordered the housemade Loaded Scrambled Eggs, and they were fantastic—rich, creamy, and cooked to perfection. The bread that came alongside was incredibly soft and delicious, making every bite even more enjoyable. To top it off, I had a refreshing mango smoothie that was equally delicious, full of vibrant tropical flavor. The staff members were incredibly friendly, and I felt warmly welcomed the moment I walked in. The service was excellent, making the entire dining experience even better. I highly recommend Billy Goat Hill Brasserie to anyone looking for great food and a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!

Best malt choc oat shake I've ever had!! Great little place, really thoughtful staff. We ordered a big breakfast to share and they logically halved it and gave us two plates. Every was really fresh and tasted great. Very clean. Lively atmosphere.

This is probably my favourite cafe to go to, to the point where I find myself here weekly The food is amazing, the staff are incredible the atmosphere is inviting and I don’t think I could say a bad thing about this cafe. I highly recommend coming here for a coffee (which is amazing especially the dirty chai lattes) and if I could I would give 10 stars! Keep up the good work!

The upper end of the "good for what it says on the box" zone. I wouldn't call Mount Evelyn a foodie destination, but the BGH Brasserie had more varied food options than some other nearby establishments. Service seemed largely focused on the fact we arrived just over an hour before the early Sunday closure. Food was good.

Located in the Yarra Valley along the picturesque Maroondah Highway, The Riverstone Estate is a stunning venue that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. With 75 acres of land and the tranquil Yarra River nearby, it provides a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors. The estate features both a homestead and a function space, making it an ideal location for various events such as weddings.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Riverstone, and the moment I stepped in I was captivated by the breathtaking views, beautifully designed with a touch of elegance that sets the perfect mood. The wine selection was nothing less than spectacular. Each glass I tried was rich in flavor, thoughtfully curated, and truly a testament to the passion behind their craft. But what truly made the experience remarkable was the staff. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Their knowledge of the wines and commitment to hospitality truly made me feel at home. I can't wait to return! Merci 😊

A wonderful spot to slow down and escape the city for a while. Come for a long, relaxing lunch — soak in the stunning views, sip on beautiful wine, and enjoy the comfort of authentic French cooking. The perfect place to unwind and just breathe.
Pets S — Google review
Came with high expectations, however left a lot to be desired. The wines were easy to drink. However the food was sub-par. We ordered the pate en croute which although had good flavour, was overall very dry and crumbly. For mains we had the duck breast which was more cooked than we’d like and lacking a crispy skin. We also had the wild mushroom pasta. The pasta was undercooked (dry & firm) and tasted like dried pasta (we expected fresh for $38). It could’ve used another splash of olive oil. We also had a side of ‘bouquet of greens’ which was just a disappointing bowl of steamed broccoli and beans in some butter. Beans were not fresh and stringy. Overall would not come back. Not worth the $200 bill nor the 1.5hr drive for a ‘nice’ Sunday lunch.

Fantastic place to disconnect from the city, enjoy fabulous views, drink tasty wines and eat delicious french cooking. Hostess and water were lovely, the pinot noir was delicious, main dish was Beef Bourguignon and it was fantastic and the Tarte Tatin, on this modern presentation totally surprised me!!! I'm coming back for the Casserole.

My friend and i went here for lunch. The guy who assisted us was very friendly, he went beyond our expectations by giving information about the place and he has a very good knowledge about the food. Plus, the restaurant is a casual fine dining restaurant (no need to be intimidated for first time goers) ----- food is so delicious. Will definitely come back here. :-)

Had lunch in the clouds today. Fresh mountain air, stunning views, and food that felt like a treat — but way cheaper than the city. Now I truly get why the Greeks created Dionysus, the god of wine. And this wine wasn’t from a bottle shop — it came straight from the heart of the winery. Pure magic.
