Restaurant
Trattoria Corrieri is a historic trattoria located in the heart of Parma, just a short distance from the Pinacoteca and Teatro Regio. Its name dates back to the time of Duchess Maria Luigia when couriers would stop at this inn to eat and rest their horses. Today, it continues to uphold traditional recipes of Parma, showcasing the region's distinctive flavors.
Absolutely fantastic food, fantastic drinks fantastic desserts. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever dined in over 40 countries and countless number of restaurants. A must dine place in Parma. I’ve tasted their famous ‘Piedmontese Fassona’ ; homemade blood red Lambrusco and a dessert. Price quality balance is fantastic ! Yummy, 3 day visit, hope I can come again with family one day. Thanks Trattoria Corrieri, enjoy !

This restaurant is amazing. The food is delicious the price well worth it. We tried different plates, pasta, risotto, also different kinds of cheese (parmigiano included) and all very very tasty. The service and atmosphere on top also. Recommend eating at this place after seeing the amazing city of Parma.
Naja — Google review
The food was really tasty and we liked it a lot. There where some dishes we liked more than the others but all in all we where happy. The atmosphere was really nice and the stuff was very kind and helpful. The only downside was that rhe food took a long time to be prepared. I suggest this place for sure!!

An very good place to have your lunch. A very traditional trattoria with a very local cozy decoration. The food was excellent, we took 4 primi piati (first dishes), an antipasto parmigiano reggiano, wine and the traditional fried bread. All were very good and tastefull. The staff was kind. I suggest it!

Best meal I ate in Parma!! This place gets busy so I’d recommend making a reservation if you can! The restaurant is very cute and charming and the service is good. The food is so delicious and rich. If looking to taste authentic, well-done Parma cuisine come here!
DC F — Google review
We visited after seeing lots of many good reviews on Google. First off—glad we double-checked the bill, as we were accidentally charged for ONE extra caffè (we were a table for 2). It was resolved after we raised the issue. We started with the Parma ham and melon, and it was absolutely delicious. The ham was incredibly soft and paired beautifully with the sweetness of the melon. I had the Risotto alla Parmigiana, which came absolutely blanketed in cheese. If you're a cheese lover, this might be heaven, but for me it was a bit too rich and heavy. Lovely atmosphere and clearly a popular spot, but next time I’d probably share a main or go lighter.
Fung W — Google review
Everything was well prepared and super delicious! La jardiniera was a pleasant surprise of mild sweet pickle salad. Torta di Susana perfect and not too sweet
Sofouni S — Google review
We decided to try this place because we wanted the authentic Parma cuisine from a place that wasn't a tourist trap. I would say that this place checked those boxes. The mixed salumi platter and Parmigiano were delicious as well as the torta fritta. I Wish they would've served more balsamic vinegar with the Parmigiano, but I guess you can always ask for more. The primi we ordered is where it gets iffy. While it was all very fresh I felt like the gnocchi was a little overcooked and the bolognese was on the drier side. Still very good. I'm glad we ordered the torta fritta because the bread wasn't really to our liking. What really boosted my review and kept it at a 5 star is that they are pup friendly. We were able to keep our little guy at the table with us and he gives the prosciutto, parmigiano, and bread two paws up. The prices were very reasonable also and the restaurant itself is very eye catching with history throughout. Enjoy!

Ristorante Angiol d'Or is a charming eatery located in the heart of Parma, offering a delightful culinary experience with a focus on seasonal Parmesan cuisine. The restaurant boasts an airy ambiance with vibrant accents and provides a stunning view of the Cathedral and the Baptistery from its outdoor tables during the warm season.
Excellent regional specialities, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Staff were attentive and spoke excellent English. We had the prosciutto taster and fried bread, a very good asparagus flan in a Parmesan sauce and local pasta. Very tasty. The interior design and ambience was also excellent.

Bellísimo! I loved this restaurant, recommend by a friend from Parma. 📍First off, the location is excellent just off the Piazza del Duomo The restaurant is spacious, bright and has a chic modern decoration, a bit arty too. Two main dining areas, some tables have amazing views directly of the Duomo. Excellent and professional service! Delicious food, I loved the 30-month parmigiano-reggiano with a pear sauce 🍐. As for pasta, I decided to order the bis di tortelli which both of the typical pasta dishes for this region, erbetta + zucca (pumpkin). There are many other delicious dishes and a nice wine list as well. Molto bene!

A Gem in the Heart of Parma Angiol d’Oro deserves top marks on every level. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel immediately at home. We started with a truly original appetizer: a black cabbage flan served with gorgonzola sauce. It was a fantastic creation – rich, flavorful, and unlike anything we’ve tried before. For the main course, I enjoyed tortelli filled generously with pumpkin, offering a wonderful sweet-salty contrast of pumpkin and Parmigiano, alongside tortelli with spinach and ricotta, equally delicious. My husband was very satisfied with his pasta with shrimp, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Wine and coffe. Cost 79€. The location is central, the prices are very fair, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Everything we tried tasted heavenly. Without doubt, Angiol d’Oro is a place we would return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Parma.
Gisela H — Google review
Beautifully prepared local cuisine with a view of the Cathedral. We enjoyed the cured meat platter, parmigiana cheese with melon jam that went well with the Lambrusco, calamari noodle starter and the tortelli mixed plate - the potato tortelli was particularly tasty!
Roberta E — Google review
Great experience! I reserved a table via WhatsApp with Giorgio and he let me know that they could do Tortelli and Anolini gluten free but that they can make almost everything on the menu gluten free. when we arrived he knew it was me the gluten free :-) and we had an amazing dinner. The location of the restaurant is in the immediate old town and offers beautiful views of the cathedral of Parma and the inside of the restaurant ist beautifully decorated. I had the Tortelli - 4 of pumpkin and 4 of ricotta and spinach and they were to die for. Super delicious and followed up with the duchessa di parma which also was amazing. I felt very safe eating here and they had great knowledge. The normal pasta my partner ordered was also delicious and he also went with the duchessa di parma. I absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the perfect dinner in Parma!
Jessica J — Google review
Tasty dinner experiencing the classics in Parma. Torta fritta, parmigiano and prosciutto for appetizers, followed by tortelli ricotta erbette and zucca. The service was very friendly, the restaurant was just off the main piazza, and thus a very charming atmosphere.
Elize W — Google review
Simply, the high marks are well deserved. We loved this place. The appetizers were terrific. The service top quality. And the entrees awesome no matter what you select. If you can get there when they open you have a chance of outdoor seating, but a reservation is recommended.
Stuart T — Google review
We are attracted to this restaurant because it had good recommendations. We arrived right when they opened without a reservation. We were shuffled off to a separate room from where everybody else was being seated. Felt strange from the beginning when we were given American menus. The waiter service was fine and the food was Fine, just felt like the maître D recognized us as Americanos and sent us off by ourselves. Strange experience.

Italian restaurant
Trattoria Ai Due Platani is a contemporary trattoria that embodies the essence of Italian dining with its commitment to quality, knowledge of culinary craft, and deep respect for local ingredients. Established in the 1920s and later taken over by Giancarlo Tavani, Giampietro Stancari, and Mattia Serventi in 2005, this restaurant has become a gastronomic landmark for those seeking authentic Parmesan cuisine.
Located just out of the city centre of Parma. As arriving to the restaurant i felt like starring in one of Godfathers film trilogy. Everything exhale the vibe and the air of the 50s. Great pasta, nice wine selection, and dont miss out the housemade ice cream trolley. Zampayone was superb! Service was trully professional and friendly! Everything was top! Thank you!
JohnTsikoudakis — Google review
A truly special experience. If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation at Ai Due Platani, take it—and then clear your day. This is the kind of lunch that unfolds slowly and beautifully, where time is measured in courses and glasses of wine, not minutes. Don’t eat breakfast. Seriously. Come hungry, relaxed, and ready to surrender to the rhythm of the meal. Let the courses happen to you. The pasta is exceptional, the secondi are comforting and bold, and the house-made gelato is an absolute must. No matter how full you think you are, make room. The staff has a rare warmth—offering thoughtful wine pairings and even calling a taxi for you when it’s time to rejoin the real world. If you’re seated outdoors in July, dress for the heat—but don’t worry, the ambiance more than makes up for it. This is the kind of meal that reminds you why you came to Italy in the first place. Take your time. Enjoy the pace. Good luck.

Tortelli di zucca. Don't think about it. Just order this as many times as you can, and you will never get enough, or better. Known to make the best tortelli di zucca in the world, believe it or not
Alberto G — Google review
Delicious food and nice garden, but the rushed and impatient waiters, who ignore you for the most part and get annoyed easily at any requests (such as some Parmesan), completely kill the vibe.
Maria L — Google review
It’s a locals place, which is fine, however, you don’t need to be rude about it. You can still be kind and support the locals without being abhorrent human beings towards those visiting Parma. There are so many wonderful people in Parma and a plethora of outstanding restaurants, there is absolutely no reason to waste your time with the likes of Ai Due Platani.
TJS — Google review
If your ever in the Parma area this Trattoria is 100% a must go to destination. Just had lunch there with some friends, We all had their top quality assortments of charcuterie with Torta fritta, fried polenta and Gorgonzola followed by various homemade pasta from Gnocchi with Italian sausage ragu, ultra light Tortelli with ricotta, spinach and Parmesan simply superb then stuffed Guinea fowl with fois gras and succulent tender Rabbit. For sweet we had their homemade ice cream with various toppings served at the table all homemade, we washed it all down with a very good Prosecco to start followed by their house Lambrusco which was also excellent. To finish espresso with oak aged grappa. Prices very reasonable for their quality and the service was excellent and very friendly. Highly recommend!
Nardo R — Google review
Smashing. So good yesterday, we drove an hour to come back today. Master of risotto, and I'm not exaggerating. Handmade pasta, amazing technique, traditional trattoria with heart. Good luck getting in on Saturday without a reservation!
Michael G — Google review
It doesn’t look like much from the outside and it’s a bit out of the way... but don’t let that put you off. Really good typical Italian food - local produce, fresh and home made. Service was excellent, English was great and they went out of their way to explain / show things. Ice cream is a must. Don’t go near or past Parma without going here. We weren’t able to make a booking (tried calling several times but no answer), but showed up at 12pm on a Monday and got in ok.

Ristorante Cocchi - Trattoria Tipica Parmigiana dal 1925 is a time-honored restaurant located on the other side of the Parma River in Hotel Daniel. It has been a favorite among the Parma bourgeoisie and remains true to the gastronomic traditions of the Food Valley.
Visited Cocchi as it was recommended by a friend who was recently in Parma for a vacation. The dishes were objectively good, but the service was impeccable. That made a huge difference to the overall dining experience - after all, it is hard to find bad food in Italy. Good to make a reservation in advance as it's popular among the locals. Glad to have tried this institution in Parma even though it is slightly out of the way (about a 7-min drive from the old town).
Miak O — Google review
A nice restaurant outside of the center of Parma. Traditional Italian cuisine with traditional service and interior. It is a typical family restaurant but the more expensive one. This season they serve funghi in all sizes. The food is very nice, the menu itself is not so extensive. I especially liked the deserts. The value for money experience is less impressive. Expect to pay almost 50 euro for antipasto and primo and a glass of wine.
Pieter W — Google review
Elegant Setting but Disappointing Experience At first, we were very impressed by the refined atmosphere at Ristorante Cocchi – white tablecloths, an elegant dining room, and a well-dressed, mature Italian staff that gave the place a classic charm. Wanting to step outside my usual vegetarian choices, I ordered the veal with porcini mushrooms, which was the daily special. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a real disappointment. The portion was small, with more fat than meat, and I ended up leaving half of it on the plate. From the table next to us, the pasta with porcini looked far more appealing – perhaps that would have been the better choice. Dessert, a duchesse-style little cake, was overly sweet and unbalanced. Finally, when the bill arrived, the third disappointment: €94 for two veal dishes, a dessert, two glasses of wine, water, and coffee. For what we received, it felt very overpriced. Overall, Cocchi has the atmosphere and the service of a fine traditional restaurant, but the food and value fell far short of expectations.
Gisela H — Google review
Italian Class! Exceptional flavours, well made traditional recipes. Dont miss the duck ragu pasta and of course the bollito misto! I also felt in love with the polenta and mushrooms! Service was truly outstanding. Professionalism great suggestions and smile at all times! I wish we could experience such a lovely service more often! Cocchi belong to my heart from the very first moments. Cant wait to be back!

The restaurant has the best staff I've encountered so far in Parma. Friendly and polite personnel. I’m glad I was able to host my guest so well in Parma. The food was also very delicious, and the wine the waiter selected for us was exquisite. Grazie mille.
Hediye C — Google review
An excellent, classic old school restaurant. Formal waiters, excellent wine list, elegant atmosphere. We started with an assorted salami plate and chunks of aged parmesan cheese. The cheese is brought without asking and is 6 euro (which is worth it). The salami plate comes with the puffy fried rolls which I have heard referred to as gnocci rolls. Delicious. My partner then had the Bis di Tortelli (two types of stuffed pastas) while I had the traditional Anolini in Brodo (filled pasta in capon broth). We split a veal shoulder stuffed with Parmigian for our main. I would rate the primi and secondi as very good but not great. Overall, a very nice dinner.

Trattoria Del Tribunale is a charming and welcoming trattoria located just a short walk from the APE Museum. Despite its unassuming exterior, this traditional restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. It's recommended to make reservations in advance, especially if you'd like to secure a table on the lovely terrace overlooking the narrow street. The trattoria is known for serving classic regional dishes made with high-quality local ingredients, ensuring simple yet delicious flavors cooked to perfection.
All pasta is classic and delicious! Must try the fried bread. We had the best truffle spaghetti here. Cozy environment. Really good food served.
Ida W — Google review
Food? Absolutely delicious — Parma’s pride on a plate. Service? Let’s say it was… minimalist. After 30 minutes of interpretive waiting, someone finally approached to take my order. A bottle of water was placed on the table — unopened, naturally — gently suggesting I take matters into my own hands. For these prices, I expected at least a little attention. The Lambrusco? A solid 3/5 — drinkable, but nothing to write home about. The risotto arrived 45 minutes later: a generous mound of rice topped with a single slice of Parmigiano, slowly melting in the center. Simple, tasty, and traditionally styled. But my wine glass sat empty for the rest of the meal — not a glance, not a question, just peaceful neglect. And when I finally asked for the bill, I was invited to walk up and pay at the counter myself — a fitting finale to a fully self-guided dining experience. If a restaurant expects you to spend €40+ without wine, one might quietly hope for a touch more hospitality to come included. Would I return? Perhaps. But next time, I’ll be looking for a place where the warmth isn’t limited to what’s on the plate. And if you’re coming here for a date… bring someone extremely patient — or just bring a book.

It was my first time in Parma, and I couldn't have chosen a better restaurant! The selection of dishes, the excellent summer terrace, and the delicious pasta were all excellent. I really enjoyed. Thank you for your service!

Absolutely the best meal we have had in Italy! Started with a selection of cheeses and Torta Fritta (Fried dough - Rectangles de pate frits). Wow! What a way to start! The cheese selection was outstanding and sooo flavourful! The torts fritta was perfection. Not oily at all and so soft on the inside. We also had Emilia-style Lasagna - Lasegnes a l'emilienne and Parmigiana di melanzane. Both were so flavourful! Unbelievable execution with flavour and texture! Be sure to make reservations as there was a huge line. Will definitely go back to Parma just to go to this restaurant and try some of the other offerings.

Oh my god, I must be in heaven. Hidden gem in backstreets of Parma. A definite must visit. Fantastic food, fantastic ambiance, fantastic service. Ordered artichokes in olive oil as starter, delicious; continued with a local Vine Nabucco 2018, wow, moved on with pasta with black truffles wow+wow; grande finale with panna cotta. Lovely. Price-Quality balance is one of the best amongst hundreds of restaurants I have dined over 40 countries including many Michelin stars. Thank you Trattoria al Tribunale ! Enjoy !

Highly recommend ! We weren’t expecting too much but this was a great surprise. The food was amazing, you could really feel the quality of the ingredients served. There were lots of veggie options. The staff was really nice :) Special thank to our server (I sadly didn’t get his name but he was a bit older than the other staff members), because he was so kind and thoughtful. That really upgraded the experience for us, so grazie mille!! On top of that, it was really affordable. Considering the standing of the restaurant, you could really expect to pay much more ! We’ll definitely be visiting again whenever we are back in Parma :)

Located just a few steps away from Piazza Duomo, Osteria Dello Zingaro is a cozy Italian restaurant that offers a relaxed and homey atmosphere. The menu features robust regional meat dishes, assorted cheese platters, and a variety of vegetarian-friendly options. While the restaurant is known for its simple yet well-made food using regional ingredients, it's important to note that horse meat is prominently featured on the menu.
We made a reservation an hour before the opening and they immediately confirmed. The atmosphere is great and we could tell that mostly locals come here. Portions are huge, food is very specific, but delicious. We even tried horse meat. We totally recommend this place. Having in mind the quality of the food, the prices are very cheap - starters, 2 main dishes and 1/2l of wine was around 40 euros.

Great spot for a little lunch. We wandered by this little bistro while strolling downtown. The menu had lots of traditional dishes. We had the risotto and a big salad. Both were prepared wonderfully. The waitress was very nice and kind. And best of all the house wine was delicious and a tremendous value. Highly recommend.

Wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Parma. This is a lively place with good service, fantastic food, and a fun atmosphere! We started off our dinner with some prosciutto e melone, and an assortment of local cheeses, and some Culatello di Zibella. We then had some fresh tagliatelle with prosciutto and a Parmigiano Reggiano sauce, pumpkin and Parmigiano Reggiano ravioli, grilled vegetables, and some wonderful, thinly sliced roast beef. We finished our meal with tiramisu and a local specialty, which was a really tasty crunchy cake with nuts and ice cream. Fantastic dining experience!

Authentic flavors in the heart of Parma! We had a fantastic dinner at Osteria dello Zingaro, located right in the center of Parma. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was excellent — our waiter kindly explained everything in English, which we really appreciated. We tried the local prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano, which were both top quality, but the highlight for me was the pumpkin ravioli — absolutely delicious and full of flavor! We also enjoyed some lovely desserts to finish off the meal. A wonderful experience overall — highly recommended if you want to taste authentic local cuisine in Parma!

Service so bad!!! A man who was not able to smile was the first person we saw.. service like in a cafeteria: too fast and not good! They were too busy kicking people out! Nobody ask if we wanted a drink, no bread and cheese with the pasta… gnocchis with pesto (the photo) disgusting! One of the worst meal I had in a few years.. and the worst in Italy.. do not go there: it is a tourists trap… nobody can smile in that restaurant, I wonder why they work there.. and one of the chef (!) came out of the kitchen: so dirty it was also disgusting… lucky for us we had a bottle of wine to forget this evening..DON’T GO THERE!

Loved the heart of Parma ham. It was soooooo soft! Pumpkin ravioli was good. Though you have to eat quickly otherwise it turned dry a bit as not a lot to sauce came with. Pasta with wild boar was good. Tiramisu is a must-order.

Was able to get the last walk-in table for the evening, the rest of the tables had reservations. I was able to order the entrees I was most curious about, Taglierini w truffle;Tortellini in broth for starters, Grilled Horse meat & Eggplant Parm for secondi and Tiramisu for dessert. Had the local sparkling red, a first for me. Very tasty. Everything that was served was amazing. I really enjoyed my experience dining here.

Amazing dinner with homemade pasta - even glutenfree! We followed a recommendation and visited la Greppia for dinner. It was great! The homemade pasta tastes amazing and I could have glutenfree gnocchi. They really just melt in your mouth and the sauce is to die for! The ambiente in their outside patio is really nice and the service is always attentive and super polite. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

No touristy place. Pasta is homemade. Loved the fried Gnocchi. Truffle Pasta was very intense and heavy. Millefeulle was special but not convincing enough to take it a second time.

it's on the 50 best discovery list, it really does not disappoint. but highly recommend to make a reservation, i saw people got turned away without reservation even they were waiting at the door before it's open. The restaurant offers good amount of traditional dishes from this region. the pasta is great, Bis di tortelli (Erbetta & Zucca): really good flavor a good vegetarian option with zucchini and pumpkin Tagliatelle al ragù di strolghino di culatello: very flavorful and a lot of meat . Horsemeat steak is very tender cooked to perfection. The service was great, the restaurant inside looks pretty traditional with big exposed beams. quiet too, easy to have a conversation

Osteria dei Mascalzoni is a charming restaurant that offers a creative twist on traditional Italian flavors. The cozy and brightly painted dining area provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meal. The menu features an array of delicious cured meats, along with hearty pasta and rice dishes such as risotto al radicchio e salsiccia. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a superb selection of local wines to accompany the meal.
Fantastic. Great food, friendly service and great environment. We came in without a reservation and were told to wait a few mins. After which we were seated. Menu was simple, we got the cappelletti and tortellini both were absolutely fantastic. The culatello is unreal. Fantastic lunch

A pleasant all-Parmesan dining experience featuring many a local classic, despite a few blemishes: air conditioning off, despite the June weather, very loud environment (though they installed large noise absorbers, so they did what they could), and overly bright lights that all but killed the atmosphere, of which the restaurant has potentially a lot. I will most likely come again.

I had a lunch here for a wedding celebration therefore I guess that a standard meal will be a bit different. However the food was really good. Typical Parma starters (the tomino with onion jam was amazing) followed by a risotto with radicchio and sausages and cappelletti with ham and cheese. Nice! The staff was great. very kind, lovely, ready to help and smiling. All of them! It was a nice experience. The local is quite small and we were definitely too many and too noisy so my missing star in the atmosphere is just because of us rather than the place itself. I'm sure in a standard evening the atmosphere will be much more comfortable. Enjoy!

A fantastic dinner in Parma!! Went with the server's recommendations and were not disappointed. One of our highlights of our Italian honeymoon. Go with the regional sparkling red wine.

A mixed bag (I'd give it 3.5 if I could). The pasta we had was amazing, especially the gnocchi, but everything else was so-so and the service was chaotic - it looked as though they were struggling to cater for the outdoor diners and subsequently neglecting those sat inside the restaurant.

Osteria Virgilio is situated in Oltretorrente, a historic neighborhood with a rebellious past. The establishment prides itself on its aversion to mainstream trends and its dedication to offering high-quality, niche products. With only a few tables available, it's advisable to make reservations in advance. The carefully curated wine selection and cold cuts are displayed at the counter.
That was awesome. Prosciutto (Ham) was stellar, got a tagliere (a plethora of ham and other good stuff), and some first dishes for me and girlfriend. Booked a reservation for 2 and got immediate reception.

Little gem not too far from the city centre. The pasta was delicious, the sharing boards were great especially the Parma ham. We forgot our umbrella there and the staff went out of their way and cycled to find us after we have left. Amazing service!

We are here both nights in Parma. The first night was so delicious, that we couldn’t risk a meal not living up to this. We started with the 30 month Parma which was melt in mouth amazing. For mains, I got the ravioli with ricotta and spinach. The Parmesan cheese on top was outstanding. Hubby had the meatballs, which were so good- I got the next night. The service was amazing, we don’t speak great Italian and the owner not great English but he gave us wine tastings and put so much effort into us understanding the menu and specials as well as pairing the cheeses to the wines of the region. Was a wonderful experience.

While reservations are strongly recommended, we were lucky to get a table for two on a weekend night in September. Service was prompt, and the staff were very attentive to our needs. Shortly after seating us, our server gave a quick explanation of the menu items, including the day’s specials. The food was exceptional — true comfort food that made us feel genuinely happy as we ate. It warmed us up on a cool evening. We’re not usually big on desserts, but since the meal was so good, we decided to try one — no regrets!

Osteria dei Servi is a charming and welcoming restaurant in Parma, offering a cozy atmosphere and delicious homemade pasta and grilled meats. The restaurant's patio is the perfect spot to savor their delightful charcuterie boards and truffle-topped tortelli. With its rustic charm, including checkered tablecloths and traditional tomato cans on the tables, this eatery provides an authentic dining experience. Guests have praised the outstanding service provided by the professional and attentive staff.
My husband and I had dinner here while in Parma and wow it was delicious. We loved how they started us off with the little packed bread and salami and cheese, it was all so good! We got a half liter of the house red and it was fantastic. We each started off with a pasta dish and decided to share a meat dish based on the recommendation of the waiter, who was spot on, it was PLENTY of food, there is no way I’d have been able to eat my own. I ordered the pappardelle with wild boar ragu which was very flavorful and delicious. My husband started with the tortelli with truffle, Parmesan, and asparagus and said his was also really fantastic. We then decided to share the Rosa dei Parma (also called Rosa dei Servi on the menu, apparently they have an old menu and a new menu but it is the same thing). I can’t begin to describe how good this was. It truly showcases the foods Parma is known for, Parmesan cheese and prosciutto de Parma, and also the steak that this restaurant specializes in. Every bite was a burst of flavor in my mouth. We ordered the Susana cake for dessert which was good but nothing to write home about, and they brought us each a shot of limoncello which was very good. Given all the food we got, we couldn’t believe how reasonably priced the meal was and we left very full and happy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in Parma.

We spent one month traveling throughout Italy, from Rome to Florence to Milan, and the most authentic meal of the entire trip was right here in Parma. The food was simply incredible, prepared with the kind of care and flavor that remind you why Parma is world-famous for its cuisine. Every dish tasted true to its roots and far exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. As with much of Italy, the dining style allows you to enjoy your meal at your own pace. If you need something, just give a quick wave and they are right there for you. We loved that balance of attentiveness and respect for the dining experience. The restaurant is currently rated 4.5 stars, but it truly deserves to be between 4.8 and 5.0. Between the outstanding food, the welcoming service, and the relaxed atmosphere, this was easily one of the best meals we had during our travels. Absolutely amazing restaurant and a must-visit in Parma.

Very busy on a Monday evening in September, noisy loud with 30 min wait between pasta and meat course. Generous portions but size over quality. Lots of truffle shavings over pasta but couldn’t tell it’s truffle! Fillet very over cooked. Pork copa - tender but a huge 2 inch thick boiled pork liberally sprinkled with vinegar ? Loud shouty waiter and big party groups.

Can't fault this place - perfect trad Parma fare, jolly atmosphere, service excellent. I came by myself and ordered Tagliolini with Culatello (lovely) sluiced down with a glass of Ribolla Gialla. Secondo was tartara cavallo with giardiniera, which was my first time trying that particular meat. A perfect match for the Morellino di Scansano. Before the dishes came, I was greeted by a trencher of freshly baked bread and salami. Needless to say I made short work of the lot! I didn't book. I turned up at 2pm on a Monday and the place was packed with locals. Food so good doesn't last long in these parts ...

We stumbled upon this little gem while exploring Parma and decided to make dinner reservations. The experience impressed us before we even walked through the door—the aroma from the charcoal BBQ pit was enough to spark our appetites instantly. We were welcomed by Francesco (call him Frank), a cheerful and accommodating host who happily explained the restaurant and its offerings before seating us. Naturally, we began with a bottle of wine to set the mood. For appetizers, we enjoyed the Contra Fritti paired with 30-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano and melt-in-your-mouth prosciutto topped with an 8-year aged balsamic vinegar—thick, rich, and unforgettable. A perfect light start. For the mains, I ordered the pork ribs. Enormous in portion, they could easily feed two. Having dined at several top rib houses, I can confidently say these were the best ribs I’ve ever had—tender, flavorful, and absolutely unmatched. If you love ribs, this is a must-try. Sorry, Mike Saine! My wife opted for the pasta with wild boar ragù, which was fresh, hearty, and perfect down to the very last bite. We skipped dessert in favor of a second bottle of wine, which made for the perfect ending before our leisurely walk back to the hotel. This restaurant is truly worth a visit if you’re looking for a memorable meal in Parma. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating—but if you sit outside, be sure to step inside to take in the warm, inviting atmosphere.

Very tasty home-made pasta ‘Antica pasta della Filoma’ and wonderful veal fillet menu ‘Rosa di Parma (filetto di vitellone)’. Carbenet was also good with the Rosa di ham. Cozy and not crowded at lunch time on Tuesday.

La Filoma is an elegant restaurant in the center of Parma, open all day. In addition to the typical Italian decor, you can see paintings in the style of expressive abstraction on the walls. It's a strange combination, but it fits the menu, which includes unconventional variations on local cuisine or things not found in other places and forgotten recipes from the past. Following this lead, I ordered the Antica pasta della Filoma, a filling pasta made from four different flours with a sauce based on cherry tomatoes, almonds and smoked ricotta. Delicious and indeed not to bee found on other menus in Italian restaurant that I know. My companion opted for equally tasty ravioli filled with ricotta and local herbs. I also liked this dish very much. For such a setting and an interesting menu, however, you have to add about 1-2 euros more to your bill in comparison to the standard of similar restaurants in the area. Do not worry - it is worth it!

Went there for dinner on my own during a business trip. The owner and the waitresses were extremely kind and welcoming. It was was a quite night and I felt like home. The food was great. I am vegetarian and they had some good options. I had the tortino with artichokes a salad and some grilled vegetables. I did not try any Primo piatto as already had plenty of Tortelli for lunch but I would definitely go back to try them. The dessert was also delicious. The location was very cosy and with an old-fashion vibe. I really liked it. Complimenti e grazie mille!

I came with my friend to Parma for the first time and we ate here for lunch on a Sunday. We were seated right away without waiting. Bread and water were served. The food came out pretty quickly. The portions were exactly right so we could eat all of it. I got the pumpkin gnocchi which was very delicious. It was soft and retained the potato flavor, very different than gnocchi I’ve had in America. The pumpkin sauce was rich and creamy, and the truffle on top added a very light earthy flavor. Some of the best gnocchi I’ve ever had!

Very nice restaurant!!! Prices were very reasonable, good quality food with many regional recipes. We liked the culatello antipasto, and the tagliatelle with prosciutto croccante. The "coperto" (the service fee) is €3.50 per person - which is a bit higher than usual, but it includes a nice small glass of sparkling when you arrive, a small amuse bouche, and cookies with the bill. Overall, great dinner option in Parma

Although we have only visited this restaurant once, many years ago, we still talk about the fabulous experience here. We stumbled upon it as we stayed at a hotel nearby during a road trip. 3 stars for me not because there was anything bad about it but I actually found this to be one of my most average dining experiences in the Parma/Piacenza region. The other issue is that it's really difficult to get a reservation/ it's super super crowded. Even though we were able to get in, it was hard getting the staff's attention and we actually missed one of our half-pastas that we had ordered. However, it was too much difficulty getting anyone's attention so we just decided not to mention it and grabbed the check instead. Staff were friendly, they were just so busy because the place is huge and constantly bustling. I enjoyed the ham platter to start, and my pasta dish was great. Something with lots of ragu. However, I would say the filled pasta dishes like the ravioli were solid, but they were just very simple basic home-cooking kind of dishes. I think you can get this elsewhere without the crowds. I must say, for the portions, this was very affordable. Not bad, just personally not worth the effort as a tourist.

Oh wow.. driving from Portofino to Bardolino we fancied a lunch stop in Parma and tried here with the hope it was open on a Sunday afternoon. Rolled up at 11.45 and all seemed closed but a staff member said come back at 12..so we sat in car park and waited..so glad we did..soon began to fill up and although we didnt have a reservation they squeezed us in. Everything was superb.. staff, vino and especially the foods..meats, truffle pasta and tortellini. We loved it. Will probably never be back in this area but it was so worth the drive and we've got the memories forever

This was the best restaurant we visited during our trip to Italy (Bologna, Modena, Parma, Venice, Riccione). The food was excellent, and the elderly Waiter was incredibly kind. He was the only one who served Coke with ice in a glass, and he opened the wine at our table, letting us taste it first, just the way it should be done. We were absolutely charmed by this place ❤️

This is the first time in Italy we've experienced literal bad food. Some good but some down right not edible. The pasta was ok but the main dishes was just rushed and tough. We got both the tasting menus and the sliced meat antipasto starter was hard and not good. This is Parma this should be the best! I would have given the food a more stars if it weren't so expensive. This was one of the more pricey spots. Quality should come with price! Part of the desert was also so dry you couldn't chew it. Very disappointed we chose this place on our last night in Parma. Service was fine. But we made it clear that some of the food wasn't edible and they didn't seem to care or understand.

The food here is outstanding. It's so good that I went twice in the two days that i visited Parma. The lasagna is put of this world. The iberico pork pluma steak will take you past flavor town and drop you and your best taste buds in a whole new flavor country. The Parmesan vertical is a master class in Parm and probably one of the reasons you decided to come to Parma. The meat board of Parma gold is also a MUST have. The sweet potato tortelli 🔥 the pork cheeks 🔥the Parmesan FLAN????? Stupid 🔥the trio of Polentas including BLACK TRUFFLE polenta???? 🤯 Too bad the service is so hit or miss. This place rightfully gets SLAMMED and the food comes out at a leisurely pace so don't come here in a hurry. The staff did their best to accommodate my lack of Italian language skills. Some of the staff are fantastic and some honestly just kinda suck at their job or dont care. Hope you get the good ones! Also definitely call ahead and make a reservation.

I received a recommendation for a restaurant that truly lived up to the hype. The pasta was delicious and cooked to perfection, and the unique flavor of the parmesan cheese from Parma obviously, really elevated the dish. Additionally, the service was excellent and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience.

Overall, the restaurant was reasonably adequate, but over priced for adequate fare. We noticed that Sorella offered the same menu selections (and pricing) as two neighboring restaurants (Tribunale and Panino d’ Artista), the same ‘gift wrapped’ bread, tableware…. We asked and were told that the three share a kitchen, though d’ Artista also offered a sandwich menu. Would I go back? Nope. As food special as is Parma and the Emilia-Romagna region, there is nothing special at Sorella Picchi.

Great place to eat in Parma! I had the crispy duck leg and my husband tried the pork cheeks in Lambrusco — both were absolutely spectacular. We also shared the Parmesan tasting plate with three different types of Parmesan cheeses, which was a real highlight. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. Take the opportunity to eat something unique from Parma, try something other than the famous ham and cheese, would be my suggestion; so much of the other cured meats are worth trying! Much of the staff spoke English well enough to help us, which was appreciated because our Italian is still not so great. If you like vegetables, the flan di zucchine was incredible, delicate and topped with paper-thin slices of fried onion. The torta fritta (fried bread puffs) was warm and tasty, while not greasy at all. Best meal I've yet had in Italy!

Hands down the best meal we had in Parma during our honeymoon. One of the best of our honeymoon, actually. The place is very small. We were there over lunch and it had more than half of the tables busy with customers. In the entire room only one waitress (probably the owner or the manager) who served us perfectly. Very efficient, she never made us feel like she was in a rush. The food was unbelievably good. Quite heavy (you can't eat like this every day) but perfect for us who were on a special occasion. I tried "cappelletti" e "anolini" in 3 different places and these were the only ones that I found good. These were super good, exactly how I was picturing them. The starter of "radicchio trevigiano with gorgonzola" won us at the first bite. The rest was an easy battle. We didn't have dessert purely because we had already too much to eat with the other courses. As for the wine, we tried for the first time a Sparkling Barbera. We didn't plan to drink so much as we were there for lunch but in the end we finished the entire bottle

Solid local food, very traditional, everything is made directly there in the kitchen. Very nice staff who explain what they serve and how it is made. We enjoyed our time! The price is a little too high for the level of the restaurant, but overall a very good experience when in Parma!

Fantastic place away from the hustle and bustle of Parma. Waiter is extremely friendly and made our meal so much better. Great place for real Parmesan cuisine. Highly recommend. (Try the horse meat, it’s as as scary as it sounds!)

If you want to go to a true Italian trattoria, then you must come here. Do yourself a favor and order a bottle of Lambrusco Nero and some salumi sliced in the moment. Amazing pasta, good prices, and a family vibe service. Like eating at your friend’s house

Degusteria - Silvano Romani is a cozy and welcoming restaurant that offers an authentic experience of tasting local cured meats. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, providing explanations about the different meats and wines. The quality of the cured meats is exceptional as they are sourced from the adjacent Silvano Romani prosciuttera.
A great foodexperience we would definitely recommend! Very kind people, delicious foo, good service and nice decor! Waiter helped us choose a good wine and gave us some info about the origin of the wine and its taste. We tried 3 different wines, that tasted very nice. We would reccomend to try some. He also brought us some pieces of parmigiano on a plate. That was very kind. Great cook! We had the rib eye and the platter with a mix of different meats. It was very tastefull and perfect medium rare as we wanted. The tiramisu and dessert wine were also great.

We called on a Saturday afternoon and were lucky to get an early table and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Parma. The 'Verticale' Parmigiano tasting included an unforgettable 60-month aged cheese, while the 'Regio' board showcased an outstanding range of cured meats and pickled vegetables. The tortelli di erbetta were rich and comforting, and the torta fritta was perfectly light and airy. The surprise standout? The pesto di cavallo; raw minced horse meat, delicately seasoned and incredibly flavorful. A bold, traditional dish done right. Everything here reflects pride in Parma's culinary heritage.
E P — Google review
Very good and reasonably priced, for a city with overpriced restaurants. The cheese we had as a starter was very nice, paired with a Lambrusco jelly, that was divine. And then the homemade lasagna was perfect. I removed one star from service as when my husband started drinking his water, he noticed a piece of glass at the bottom of his water glass. We told the waiter and he immediately changed it. Otherwise everything was excellent.

Always a pleasure to eat at Degusteria! Quality is super high, service is excellent. Cheese plate is a perfect starter, then I tried "pumpkin flan" which was a totally new experience for my vegetarian taste :) After 8:30 pm almost full, reservation required

Service was rather slow. Food quality was ok nothing spectacular. I had the ham & cheese platter and to be honest I’ve had better ones. Pumpkin tortellini was ok too oily. Toilet cleanliness below standard. Would think twice about visiting again.

The wine selection is excellent, and the atmosphere is charming and inviting. This is a great place to enjoy a special dining experience.
Fantastic food experience!! The service was so friendly and knowledgeable. We had the 7 course testing menu and every single course was divine! And the dessert was the perfect ending, a beautiful ice cream, made on the table, with strawberries. Amazing!!

We had dinner at Parizi when we found out that in the same building where we booked a studio, there was a very good restaurant. And it was really good…. The studio was very nice, spacious, good airco, good bed and very nice style. Location is teally good; about 500 m to walk from a good parking garage and located at the centre storico from Parma. Then the restaurant, this was amazing. We decided to go for a 3 course meal because we not sure if we could made the 5-course meal. It started with a waffel with parmesan cheese, it sounds simple but the tasteveas delicious.we got another apatizer, just wow. My antipasti was with 36 months old parma ham and salami. The taste was unbelieveably good, after that a brilliant pasta and also the secondo was absolute star level. On top of that, the waiter was a star…he focussed all the time on our table and made sure we had just the right amount of wine in our glass to keep it cold and always the possibilty to drink some of the very tastfull wine. We had coffee with home made pralines and a limoncello. This was a brilliant dinner evening, I don’t have anything to complain. The atmosphere in the restaurant, the home made bread and crackers, really all the details were perfect. If you are in Parma: go for it!
Koen G — Google review
I discovered this restaurant by accident. I was looking for accommodation as I extended my work trip, and upon reading reviews, I read that the residence has a restaurant beneath. After checking in, I asked if they had availability, and they did! When I entered, there were only two other diners, and I was shown to a lovely table set up for myself in the corner by Plose; I had initially gone in to try the Duck dish, but upon reading the 7-course seasonal tasting menu, I decided to try. I started with a glass of sparkling wine that was very nice for €10 a glass. There were an extra two secret courses to start. One was a Parmesan waffle. Light, fluffy and delicious. The other was an octopus gazpacho. Light, refreshing and the octopus was not chewy. All the courses were presented beautifully and described as they were placed. The star dish was the Duck! Wow! It is the most delightful duck dish I have ever tried. It had a wonderful smokiness and was perfectly tender and cooked pink. Duck is one of my favourite dishes and this was to an elevated standard. It was served with a creamy carrot purée and spinach. Chef Marco, had come out a couple of times to check on my thoughts of the dishes and seemed particularly proud of this culinary masterpiece. He said it was also his favourite. The dessert was also a show stopper. If you like some theatrics at the table I highly recommend ordering the frozen Tiramisu. The staff were welcoming and did not make me feel awkward that I was dining alone and gave me the perfect table (not in the middle of the room). I was served throughout by Plose who was friendly and ensured throughout the evening I was enjoying my meal. I’m assuming it was quiet because it was Sunday. I would now deliberately go on a Sunday. After the other two diners left it felt like they had reserved the whole restaurant for myself. I was sat by the kitchen and it was lovely to hear all the staff laughing and at one point one of the chefs was whistling gleefully. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was a truly lovely experience.

July 2022 This was my second visit to Parizzi Restaurant, and they knocked it out of the park again. Tailored appetisers prepared by the chef to compliment you meal selection. Amazing wine and friendly staff, dress code is relaxed which I prefer, just don't go in shorts and tee shirt. The irony was that we only paid 60 euros more at Parizzi than we did the previous day in Milan at the galleria near La Scala / Duomo (the meal at the gallery [Savini's] was poor and uninteresting, you pay for where the restaurant is and that's it. Cost - 280 Euros for very little and we didn't even have wine). The experience at Parizzi warrants as many visits as I can afford. My problem at Parizzi was that I wanted to eat all the dishes that arrived at our table, even the ones my two friends ordered LOL Order the Tiramisu for two if its still available, the Dry Ice made the desert Magical (wish we ordered it). February 28th, 2025 I have just finished just shy of a 3 hour 7 course culinary extravaganza in a uniquely personal environment . A tasting of what’s on offer from The Parizzi Restaurant in the heart of Parma ( confession, It’s not my my first visit). Food is exceptional, and the service is friendly. As expected for a top-class venue. The courses were so different and surprising, I found it difficult to appreciate everything. I’m still not sure which course I preferred the most. They were all that good. Take a look at the photo’s! I hope you have the opportunity to book a table at The Parizzi Restaurant, It’s on another level.

The restaurant is located outside the city center but it is really worth to pay a visit. The restaurant is quite big but despite the size it has a cosy atmosphere. We dined here in the evening. Although we had no reservations and the restaurant was crowded, the staff accommodated us at a nice outdoor table. We had a prosciutto appetizer, I had a special pork belly and my wife had the sliced beef filet. The wine selection was marvelous. Although the restaurant was very busy, the staff were very attentive and very kind. A great meal.

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Parma. Portions are not gigantic, but flavours are definitely something else: we tried the Parmigiano cheese selection, the aniolini in hen broth and the buffalo tartare. Everything was very good, genuine and rich. Only one little flaw, justifying the 4 out of 5 stars: we would have appreciated a slightly warmer treatment in the true Parmesan tradition. Personnel was not rude, but not making us feel greatly welcome or helping much either.
Petra — Google review
This is an interesting take on traditional Parma cuisine. The restaurant has trendy, modern vibes, however my meal was ruined by a very, very rude waitress. She was very short with us and acted like she couldn’t understand a thing all members of my dining party were saying when one speaks fluent Italian. I would not recommend this restaurant because the food is just ok - there is much better in Parma - and the service was god awful. It is also kind of expensive for what it is.

Nice place to eat some italian food. We had the local meat and cheese platter, this did not disappoint. Really good
Yannick D — Google review
It was one of those meals where everything clicked. A quiet little street, a glass of red wine and plates that made sense together. The cheese platter came with strong flavors, balanced by fresh bread and pickled vegetables. After that the main dish, a tender beef fillet, was more than enough and actually bigger than expected. The atmosphere was casual, not too loud, and the people working there gave the impression they really cared about the place. Recently for me it turned into a proper lunch that left no need for dinner later.
Lilias P — Google review
Modern and contemporary cuisine which like to used traditional dish as based to explore now flavours and technics. Vibes is more dynamic and we quite enjoyed the modernity compared to the rest of the places in Parma. But it’s not like you will be lost here, nothing too crazy. Dishes wise we enjoyed balance of the dish and right tastes. We had pleasant dinner.

What a nice & cozy restaurant with a great selection of cold cuts and parmacean cheese as well as a decent selection as well as reasonably priced Italian wines and beer. The staff is super friendly, courteous and attentive. Overall, a good place to enjoy some authentic Parma food with great staff.

We chose the wrong menu. Based on the recommendation from staff we took lasagne and gnocchi. However, this shop's specialty is the Parma sandwich. The sandwich we took was great. The gnocchi was average and the lasagna was cold and not great. So beware what you order and your stay can be fabulous.
Kiku I — Google review
We have had nothing but excellent dining experiences across Italy with the exception of this restaurant in Parma. The food was simply average and forgettable. The cocktails were the only redeeming part of the evening. The service, however, was the real disappointment. Our waitress was unfriendly and dismissive, creating an atmosphere that felt cold and unwelcoming. For such underwhelming food and poor service the restaurant was surprisingly crowded. Caveat emptor. With so many excellent restaurants in Parma there is no reason to waste an evening here. Not recommended whatsoever.

Exactly what we were hoping for! Great selection of drinks, nice beers, and generous appetizers. We were very disappointed by the food :-( The tigelle seemed good on the menu, but are unprepared, the bread isn’t cooked well, it’s missing salt, oil and seasonings. We had all the veggies options, none are worth the price. On the other hand, service is great and the staff is welcoming !
Stanislas P — Google review
Terrible experience at Mama Bottega & Piaceri. The service was extremely rude and unprofessional from start to finish. No one spoke English, only Italian, and instead of trying to help they made us feel unwelcome. We were given a table and then ignored for 30 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. When we tried to call a waitress, no one answered or bothered. After finally placing our order, the food took 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked how long it would take, the response was simply “we don’t know.” Meanwhile, several tables who arrived after us were served first. The waiters were all rude, impolite, and not even one person said sorry for the delay. This was by far the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. Avoid this place — it is absolutely not worth your time or money.

La Cucina del Maestro is a true celebration of Parma’s culinary tradition. The menu is filled with local classics made using exceptional ingredients — from prosciutto di Parma to beautifully aged Parmigiano Reggiano. The absolute highlight of the meal was the anolini in capon broth. Rich, hearty, and deeply flavorful, it felt like the essence of Parma in a bowl — comforting and expertly prepared. We also tried the tortelli verdi with spalla di San Secondo, which were delicious, with a perfect balance of richness and freshness. The ambiance is warm and rustic, and while the service was a little slow, it was still friendly and attentive. Overall, a fantastic experience and a place I’d gladly return to for another bowl of those unforgettable anolini.

The food is good, but it is a pity that the service is horrible. The "menù degustazione" has an entree, a main course, a second course and a dissert and is not worth the €45 you pay. The portions are veeery small and beverage is not included. We asked for bread and they brought us some with dessert! With dessert not with the second dish when we asked for it!! We had to wait for 40 minutes to start the dinner. When we complaint about how small the portions were the waiter said "that this is what a menú degustazione is that maybe I had not been told what a menù degustazione is" as if I had not tried one before!! The complete unpoliteness of the waiter was incredible! He has glasses and a beard. The other waiter was polite and elegant. We had been there twice before and I do not recommend the place if that waiter is still there.
Serena M — Google review
Do you want to be completely ignored as a customer? That’s the place for you. Super arrogant and super careless waiter (dressed all in black, with black frames for glasses) will make it “unforgettable” for you. Once at the table, we got water which we had all in a minute (35 degrees). No one asked if we want more water or any other drink. The “all black” was too lazy to fix the shaky table and was clearly annoyed by the request. Waiting for the menu card (only in Italian), waiting for someone to collect the order… ages. No fresh pepper, vinegar straight from the retail shop - see a photo. Ridiculously small portions (mine was never served), catastrophic service - and all of that in the center of Parma! Never again.

We had the best charcuterie platter of our lives here! We were in seventh heaven. If you want to try the famous Parma ham and are looking for a relaxed restaurant with lots of hospitality, this is the place for you. Highly recommended!

Lovely place and atmosphere. Tradicional Italian Gastropub. I tried the vertical parmegianno which has parmegianno from different ages. Also the main dishes have all the same (and fair) price. They are really tasty. I really enjoyed there. It looks that the business is family runned.

We enjoyed our dinner here before a performance at Teatro Regio di Parma, which is literally around the corner. The place was crowded with young locals but our table was in the far corner away from the crowds. Our server was a delight and enjoyed using his English though limited. No matter, his smile was delightful and professional. The food was amazing and the bill quite reasonable. Highly recommend this place when you’re in the neighborhood of the palace museum.

Local hangout where you can send yourself into a charcuterie coma (I fear it will be some days til we can face prosciutto again). Great cast of characters milling about enjoying the space. Very generous plates and good wine for a couple of euros. And most importantly the nicest most friendly staff!

Bar Trattoria da Antonia is a charming eatery that transports you back to the heart of 1950s Italy. Open only for lunch, this cozy trattoria offers a delightful experience where the aroma of traditional dishes fills the air as the signora prepares meals from early morning. With a menu featuring local favorites like trippa and tender bollito misto, it’s a haven for locals and workers who often greet the owner by name.
Local restaurant, here you will find mainly workers and local. Most of them should call the owner by this name. It feels great to be here, food it’s simply good. Nothing fancy here. Service is great and helpful.

We were in 15 people today. They Made us pay more than what we actually ate. zero control. I Definitely not would not come back and I dont recommend it. On our table of 4, I literally ate an entrance of some salumi, ham, cheese and torta frita ( the typical Parmeggiana entrance). we shared this in 4. Then we ate two tortelli plates in 4. A bottle of wine and 2 bottles of water and we paid €30 each person. Extremely expensive and the quality was not high. Not good.

Reading all the fab reviews left here I was really looking forward to coming here. It’s a Monday in late September and I was made to wait for almost an hour. The food is rather overpriced and the quality is as good as any other restaurant’s. It’s not that good, it’s not bad either. Nothing special at all. And definitely overpriced.

We have been coming to this pizzeria ever since we moved to Parma two years ago. First time we had it we thought it's the best pizza we ever had and we haven't changed our mind ever since. It's a definition of a gem - all their pizzas are always tasty, fresh and perfectly made. It's a local place with a lovely vibe. You can eat inside and have it as a take away. Can't recommend it strong enough.

We arrived in Parma this evening rather hungry. We were happy to find this great little pizza shop. All four of us greatly enjoyed our pizzas! The best we've had in Italy. My teen sons want to go back several times, even though we are only here for a few days. Service was good and patient with our very bad Italian. The pumpkin pizza is phenomenal! Absolutely loved coming here, I had the pleasure of enjoying a tasting plate made up by the wonderful owners who I believe are a father and son. As a useless Brit who speaks limited Italian I was able to converse with the owners who are excellent conversationalists. As a lone traveller used to my own company coming here was a truly lovely experience and I will certainly be back when I visit the area again. The sampling plate? Of course what needs to be said; it was equisite, fresh and complimentary - the Parmesans wouldn’t have it any other way.

We just stumbled across this store while walking through Parma. What a find!! They have amazing products but also staff that is the best! He took the time to talk us through the different ham choices, suggested how to store it after opening and even let us taste different balsamic vinegars aged from 3 to 30 years. We ended up talking not only about ham and vinegar but also Formula 1. This place is a Parma must visit!! Simply amazing!

I’ve been here twice on my trips in Northern Italy and really enjoying this place. The Italian specialties in this store are magnificent. It’s worth a visit to this store and buying some local ham, cheese, olive oils, Balsamico etc.. The owner is nice and also vacuum what you buy. 🥰🤩

Father runs a store downtown, and the son runs this one. He, the son, is in his 2nd year of sommelier school and has tremendous knowledge of wine, ham, and cheese. We got two bottles of wine and an excellent charcuterie board - along with an education. In my mind, it was better than a tour. Most locals were getting products to go, but we ate standing at one of their two high top tables.

Customers have praised the quality and affordability of the food, along with the attentive service provided by staff members like Ally. The restaurant is also known for its dog and child-friendly atmosphere, as well as its wheelchair accessibility.
We came here on our first day for an afternoon snack and glass of wine, we weren’t aware of the 2:30/3:00 kitchen cut off which most places do which was absolutely fine with us! we sat down and the waitress was just so welcoming and warm and was more than happy to recommend wines to us (I now have a favourite I buy regularly back in uk). The waitress asked about our request to eat and as we only wanted some meat and cheese she kindly said that even though the kitchen was closed they could happily accommodate that and before we knew it there was a plate of food in front of us and we ended up going back twice because it was such a pleasant experience with the most pleasant staff!

Pasticceria Bombé is hands-down my favorite spot in Parma. Their cappuccino with soy milk is perfect, and the brioche cioccolato alla nocciola? Pure heaven. I’ve been coming here for three years straight to grab their panettone (the best!), but honestly, I’m here all year round—either soaking up the sun on their terrace or enjoying the cozy vibes inside. The staff? Always super friendly and helpful. Plus, they’ve got unique pastries, even for vegans or anyone needing lactose-free options. The red velvet cake?
