St Croix is an awesome island to visit. If you’re cruising there. Rent a jeep and take a drive.

Such a wonderful island, with some of the most friendly and gracious people I have ever met. Another trip is definitely on my list.

The most relaxing vacation we ever had. Highly recommend this island if you want a low key, relaxing environment. Few things that are a plus: no passport, most cell phone service works down there, no sales tax, no fishing license required, and everyone is friendly. We stayed at a hotel that was 15 ft away from the beach.

A wonderful, laid back island with rural surrounds. Nice lil towns, lots of native landscape and plenty of interesting sites. An enjoyable and pleasant visit.

Man absolutely loved our visit. Not too busy, locals were absolutely awesome. I wish it didn't have so much litter though, maybe from the hurricane still? Coast Guard bothered us fishing.... :). Will be back.

It is such a wonderful island that we moved here! 3 1/2 years a resident and still loving it! 🇻🇮. 2023 update: been a resident now for 8 years and discovering new things to do all the time. It's a quirky little island full of Caribbean culture and wonderful weather. Please enjoy my photos.

Beautiful island with nice places to go out and do almost anything you want. Food, drink, fish, and beach, just to name a few.

Wonderful National Park, great snorkeling including turtles, black eyed jack, parrot fish, puffer fish, trunk fish, large barracuda, blue tang, needle fish, a huge flounder, extra large conch shells, and a huge carribean lobster. Beautiful sand and water around the island.

Snorkeling the Buck Island National Monument Reef System was an awe-inspiring adventure! The vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters create an underwater paradise. The coral formations are a mesmerizing kaleidoscope, showcasing the reef's resilience. Snorkeling through schools of tropical fish felt like navigating a living aquarium. The experienced guides ensured a safe and informative experience, pointing out unique species and sharing fascinating insights about the ecosystem. The visibility was exceptional, allowing us to witness the intricate beauty of the underwater world. The Buck Island National Monument Reef System offers a breathtaking and educational snorkeling experience that surpasses expectations. It's a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and anyone seeking a profound connection with the ocean's wonders. Every moment beneath the waves felt like a magical journey into the heart of marine splendor.

One of the most amazing beaches I've ever experienced. Soft white sand and warm turquoise water. Really beautiful and romantic. A great place to lay on the sand and get a tan, has spots with shade under trees to enjoy a sandwich. Bring water and food with you. Bring a towel to sit on as well. The beach is long and wide so lots of room for people to lay out. I'd really recommend checking this place out.

One of the best, Pristine Beach that there is. You will need a Boat to get to it. Snorkeling was amazing around the island which has a protected Coral Reef. A Must go if you visit St. Croix!

National monument, come here only if you can preserve nature. Turtle nests, bird nests, raw nature. Open only during the day. South part has a nice beach and north part has some snorkeling spots. There are some picnic tables but you should carry your garbage away when you are done. Beautiful spot.

Amazingly soft sand on the beaches! a very nice place to visit.

Clean, friendly, inviting and fun! You could just hang out at the pier and beach all day when at port here. We decided to kayak at Salt River Marina which was amazing. Booked a 4hr self guided and it was well worth it. Returned and spent a few hours at the beach. Reasonable drinks, good selection, good ribs n chicken combo plate too. Really enjoyed our visit, even though it rained... we were in the water anyway! No issues here... highly recommend!

Excellent snorkelling location. As you stand on land and look at the pier entry, just to the left are some steps. Make entry to the water here. The rocks around here have lots of colourful fish. If you follow the shore on your right, you will eventually get to the pier. This is a micro dive location, with lots of coral, colourful fish etc around the pier legs. If a cruise ship is in port, this area is off limits, guards will move you away. Back more centrally into the ocean are two old mooring points. This is the old pier which was mostly destroyed in a hurricane. These points are full of coral and beautiful fish, well worth the swim out. Around the seagrass as you swim back to shore, you can see rays and sea turtles! One of the best snorkelling sites I’ve been to!

We were here on a Royal Caribbean cruise. We came last year too, and took a bus tour instead of walking into town. This time, we stayed and just walked to see the sights. We had more fun just sightseeing than the bus tour. My wife uses a power wheelchair, and even with a manual chair, the load/unload on the bus is a chore. The town is lovely, mostly friendly to our wheelchair, and plenty of shopping. We enjoyed our day there.

In good order pier, one or two minutes from all stuff to eat and drink. The walk from. The boat to the pier end is longer than the walk from the end to beer!

We took a sunset sail with Lyrics and it was AMAZING! Afterwards we had some late supper and it was a very nice evening, breezes kept it cool for outdoor dining.

The public beach beside the pier is beautiful — clean, lively, and easy to access. Margaritaville’s restaurant and pool area also made for an excellent alternative, offering great food, a fun atmosphere, and a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view.

One of the best beaches on St.Croix. very laid back and chill with jet skis and chairs with umbrellas available upon request ($40) We loved the silky white sand and freedom to enjoy the water and sunshine! Great staff, food and drinks a bit pricey but hey your on vacation...who cares.

Beautiful unsung beach. Crystal clear water. Low waves. Rentals. Snorkel. Chairs. Jet skis. Resturaunt and full bar.

The water is clear and warm. You can rent chairs and umbrellas. You can also get jet skis and kayaks and floaties.

Beautiful beach. I’m sure the other beaches are great too but the waters are calmer here. Quite rocky so wear water shoes to be cautious. There’s a restaurant here, jet skis available, snorkeling, and other water activities. I just lounged on the beach. Beach chairs and umbrella available for rental here. No lifeguard on duty. If you’ve got little kids, just be warned there is ganja smoking here.

Nice beach with a good amount of sea glass scattered about. We saw several jet skis moored here. The parking is tight, just find a spot along the road. It's packed on weekends. The beach goes for longer than you realize so if one spot is filled up just head north.

Our first time, we brought our own beach gear but you can rent everything from a little shop here also. Amazed at how much there was to see snorkeling! Wasn't too crowded, had fun listening to multiple music sources, met some nice visitors and locals as well. Parking was simple, right on the road. Felt safe and very laid back.

Such a cute little beach with a nice restaurant offer food and drinks. They rent what you need for many water sports (kayaks, ski-do, etc) and also chairs for the beach. You can snorkel but I recommend a snorkeling tour if you really want to see amazing animals. We only saw tiny fish which could be fun for the kids. I would also recommend water shoes if you have sensitive feet as the shoreline is quite rocky. Oh and the part… there are bathrooms!!

The crew of Mike and Brett were terrific! They shared not only their knowledge, but also great stories and their love for their jobs with us. We had musical entertainment, almost like a soundtrack for our trip. Fantastic! We highly recommend and on our next trip here, we will take another sunset cruise.

We had a great experience! We went on a Tuesday night and got to experience Mercy Child perform - he was great! Entire staff was friendly and professional. We did the sunset sail and the free rum punch was delicious! Lucked out on the weather but it was very relaxing and enjoyable! Will definitely do again when we next visit the island!

Incredible experience. Very engaging crew who had a light touch ensuring everyone was taken care of during the trip. The ride was terrific. The catamaran does a great job of minimising the effects of waves. The musical accompaniment brought everything together. They did a fantastic job helping a partially paralyzed post-stroke woman on and off the boat. She was obviously terrified and they worked with her getting her on and off the boat like professional therapists! This experience is definitely worth the cost.

While the occasion was by no means a happy one, the crew, Capt. Mike, Taylor and Chase, made it for a great experience. Sure that it being a beautiful day, contributed to dad having the most beautiful send off. The sails were well controlled on a sunny, yet, breezy day at sea. They were patient and understanding of our delays from the church and military presentation prior to boarding and while on board, I appreciated the clear instructions, cold drinks, and their sympathies. Those family and friends that accompanied us for my dad’s sea burial, were comfortable as we sailed. We are thankful the crew gave us a sense of security and confidence as we honored dad’s wishes. Dad was the happiest at sea, in the ocean, swimming and fishing in the most beautiful of waters that he called home. THANK YOU Capt. Mike, Taylor and Chase🫶

My wife and I took our friends who were visiting from NY on the Sunset Sail with Mercy Child as the onboard entertainment. We can’t express enough how fantastic this experience was for all of us. Captain Brett and his First Mate Taylor ensured each and every guest were catered to and made to feel safe, welcome and appreciated. By far one of our favorite excursions on St. Croix and is on our list for “must do’s” whenever we have visitors. As far as the onboard entertainment, Mercy Child was the perfect accompaniment to the relaxing atmosphere of the sail. If you haven’t seen him perform, we highly recommend following his page and checking him out. If you’re looking for a fun and relaxing evening, Lyric Sails is the best!

This is a must do. The boat is beautiful. The history of it is interesting. The staff is friendly they kept the Rum punch flowing. The views were breathtaking. We embarked from Frederiksted Pier. Your shoes are collected. It was cute how they were lined up on the pier once we disembarked. Captain Jeff was amazing at giving the history, safety info & introducing the 1st mates Cody and Phillip. The live music by Adrian and special guest Eugina was upbeat they also sang happy birthday to someone celebrating. We brought our lunch to go along with the free drink offering. There was also an option to start a tab for the cash bar for other drink options. The restroom is below deck a little bigger than an airplane restroom, and you pull the handle up! Tips are accepted for the musicians in one pail and for the crew in another pail at the end of the voyage. Because this was during the soup festival, we got discounts when mentioning just being on Lyric Sails at the bar and restaurants across from the pier.

Visited for the beautiful views and the Point Udall Millennium Monument! Some facts: Easternmost Point of the U.S.: Point Udall is the easternmost point of the United States by travel, meaning it's the first place in the U.S. to see the sunrise each day. Millennium Celebration: The monument, a sundial, was erected in 2000 to commemorate the first sunrise of the new millennium. The sundial continues to tell solar time. Named after Stewart Udall: Point Udall was named in honor of Stewart Udall, who served as Secretary of the Interior under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. Connection to Guam: Interestingly, the westernmost point of the United States in Guam is also named Point Udall, in honor of Morris Udall, Stewart's brother. This means that "America's day would begin and end at a Point Udall".

Loved this place! How epic to be at the eastern most part of the US! So peaceful looking out over the seemingly endless ocean. A bunch of young locals were playing hide and seek here when I went here at sunset, adding to the enjoyment. The monument itself seems kind of random for this point until you read the inscription indicating it was built as year 2000 memorial and a symbol of the waves marking time or something poetic like that. The drive out here is amazing as well, including the giant satellite. You have to come to the eastern edge of US civilization.

Went there early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Peaceful and a 180 view. Hiking trails. Eastern most part of the United States.

Point Udall is truly a magical place. During the day, we enjoyed the serenity of the waves crashing and the refreshing breeze, all while taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean. But the real highlight was visiting at night an unforgettable stargazing experience. We laid back, relaxed, and watched the stars, even catching a few shooting stars. It felt peaceful, quiet, and almost otherworldly. Just a heads-up: it’s a secluded spot at night with no bathroom facilities, so plan accordingly. If you’re hiking nearby, bring plenty of water. No complaints at all just research a bit before you go to make the most of your visit. Highly recommend this special spot in St. Croix. 🌌🌊

Point Udall in St. Croix, USVI, is a nice spot with stunning views. It's well worth the visit! The easternmost point of the U.S. offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, with vibrant blue waters and dramatic cliffs that make for perfect photos. The drive up is scenic, and the sunrise here is absolutely spectacular—definitely a bucket-list moment. There’s a nicely constructed stone and steel monument marking the spot, which adds a nice touch of history. My only gripe is the lack of amenities like restrooms or shade, so come prepared with water and sunscreen. Still, the natural beauty makes it a solid 4-star experience!

Amazing view!!! Every time we visit home we take a drive up to point Udall for the beautiful scenery.

I think this is a must see when you visit this island. It was a bit cloudy the day we went. We chose to do the sunrise, but I hear going there at night to look at the stars is next level. We didn't make it back for that, but enjoyed our sunrise.

Absolutely Amazing Beachside Dining Experience! Louie & Nachos Beach Bar in Frederiksted, St. Croix, is hands down one of the best beach bars I’ve ever visited! If you’re looking for a laid-back, authentic island vibe with stunning oceanfront views, this is the place to be. Situated right on the beach, you get a front-row seat to all the action—snorkeling, jet skis, and even the pier in the distance. It’s the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of St. Croix while enjoying fantastic food and drinks. If you’re expecting air conditioning, you won’t find it here—but trust me, you won’t need it! The refreshing sea breeze and the relaxed atmosphere make for an unforgettable dining experience. We ordered the Hangover Nachos with shrimp, and they were absolutely delicious! Instead of traditional tortilla chips, they use house-made potato chips, which added an incredible crunch and flavor. Honestly, this dish alone is worth the visit—it’s the ultimate hangover cure! One of the standout features of this spot is the a la carte tacos menu, allowing you to mix and match different flavors for just $7–$8 each. We took full advantage of this and tried a variety! My husband went for the Jambalaya and Blackened Mahi Mahi tacos, while I opted for the Vegan, Blackened Shrimp, and Fajita tacos. Every single one was bursting with flavor—except for the Vegan taco, which wasn’t my favorite, but hey, you can’t win them all! Beyond the incredible food, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The location is also super convenient—just a 10-minute walk from the pier, making it an easy stop for cruise passengers or anyone exploring Frederiksted. If you’re in St. Croix, Louie & Nachos Beach Bar is an absolute must-visit. Great food, amazing views, and the perfect beach bar experience—I will definitely be back next time I’m on the island!

The service was absolutely terrible. Slow, the servers were on their phones the entire time and seriously acted like we were bothering them. They also had pajamas and house shoes on, rude and short as well - upset I didn’t want to order alcohol. Food was decent, but honestly I expected to get sick from it as all of the cold ingredients were lukewarm & not cold. (Salad, ranch, lettuce). The MAHI BLT had no bacon in it - zero- that’s the whole point of a BLT? Views were great but I wouldn’t come back.

Louis & Naco’s is hands-down one of the best spots on the island. Great vibes, great food—just awesome all around. Every visit feels like a treat, and it’s definitely one of my personal favorites. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

Perfect place for a quick bite after a dive or day on the beach. The view can't be beat and the food is amazing. One of our must whenever we are on the island.

Best bar on the island. Best view of the water. 10 steps to the ocean. Great atmosphere, great drinks. Super friendly staff. Food was fun and affordable. We ate here at least once a day on our week long trip. They also make the best painkiller on the island.

This place serves some of the best tacos ever! They may not be the world's best, but I'd go back every single day if I could. The flavour on the taco was well seasoned and fresh and the pineapple juice was quite refreshing. The fries were also well seasoned and had a good crunch to them. The view is also wonderful for sunsets with Sandy Point visible.

Nice place to grab a bit to eat and drink right next to the water. Good breeze to cool off and beautiful views. Service was on point with no issues. Food was fantastic...I got the nachos and my colleague got the Taco Salad both delicious. Drinks came out quick and server always checked on us. Definitely a spot to chill after a long day of swimming and boating.

We really enjoyed our hike on the Carambola Tidepools and Trailhead! It took us about 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach the tidepools. The trail is not for beginners—I’d rate it as moderate to advanced, with plenty of elevation changes, exposed roots, and a narrow path. It’s marked fairly well, though not perfectly. We hiked on a rainy day, so the trail was a bit slippery but still manageable. Despite the rain, it was warm, bug-free, and overall a great experience. After hiking through dense vegetation, you reach a rocky beach, and from there, you have to climb over some challenging, slippery rocks to access the tidepools. My husband made it across but found it tricky, while I decided not to risk it with the waves crashing in. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this trail to anyone who enjoys a more challenging, adventurous hike!

Great hike & fantastic views once you arrive at the beach. If you're going to spend time in the tide pools make sure you go during low tide. I would not try to access them if the tide is high as they are very dangerous and you can easily get thrown against the jagged rocks or swept out to sea. Absolutely worth it during low tide though. Trek itself wasn't bad.. a few moderately steep areas but overall it was easy. It took me exactly 1 hour to arrive, 40 minutes at the pools & 50 minutes to get back. Highly recommend if you are looking for an adventure and in decent shape.

Wear good hiking shoes for the hike. Take sturdy water shoes for the end, when you make it to the rocks and the beach.

Beautiful hike a views. Took us about 40 min to the tide pools. The waves were coming over the wall pretty good, so we didn't make it down to the second set of pools

This is great adventure out to the tide pools. The hike is for moderately fit people, about 2 miles with some uphills, in the 80 degree heat. But the hike is definitely worth it! Parking lot is to the left of the guard station. Bring plenty of water. Start hiking up the dirt road from the parking lot. There will be a smaller foot trail with a blue arrow on the right. When you get to an opening at the dirt road turn right at the black x with another blue arrow. There is some rock scrambling into the tide pools from the rock beach. Climb out the end of the first tide pool to get to some other more remote smaller tide pools. Saw some crabs and sea urchins.

Very cool place and hike. Well worth checking out. The pools are gorgeous. Lots of sea life, multiple pools, and a beautiful hidden rock beach in a cove. Wear shoes suitable for hiking and water. Keep in mind there is a very mild climb and wall traverse on wet rock to get into the pools themselves. 2.1 mi hike up and over the ridge one way from Carambola. The trail is well marked and nearly impossible to mis-navigate at any point. Semi steep hiking at the start, then it planes out and has a gentle down slope until you reach the beach./pools. Enjoy responsibly. Tide pools are fragile ecosystems. There was a Moray eel in one of the pools, a small mix of tropical fish, cool crabs, and lots of coral. There is a jump spot if the water is deep enough in the first pool.

This place was so beautiful and definitely worth the 3-4 mile hike in the woods up and down a mountain. So the hike in the forest can get rough. If you are out of shape or not use to hiking in the forest I do not recommend the hike. There is a Jeep tour for $150 a person you can take to get to it. We called the tan tan Jeep tours to get back out of the forest. I definitely recommend the Jeep tour. Our driver Manny was amazing. If you do the hike please wear hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, sunscreen & bug spray. Please do not try this hike if you have asthma or you aren’t in shape. You literally are hiking up a mountain in the forest for miles. Some of the hike can get rough with rocks and you are slipping all over if you don’t have the right shoes. Also some parts of the forest get really thick and hot. The hike or Jeep ride is so worth it once you get to the tide pools. We are so glad we went. It was amazing and I definitely recommend. Bring snorkeling gear because there are a lot of cute fish to see.

A great hike with a very high beautiful view to effort ratio! Amazing foliage, cacti and more arid plant life. Lots of sea birds. And miles of gorgeous clear water and white sand beaches. A few other hikers on the trail but certainly not crowded.

Nature at its best. Roads to the beach are well paved, and not like the west side of the island. We were told to not bring anything valuable and roll down the windows of the car in the parking lot so that the windows don’t get smashed out. And we saw the evidence of that in the parking lot. There’s not very many parking spots. Maybe 10 and that’s all the people that seem to be at the beach, which was perfect for us! That being said, the beach and area is gorgeous! Very remote and very few people at the beach, be sure to bring good hiking shoes to make the trek down the path approximately 1 mile to the beach and then there’s miles and miles of beach and mountain side area to hike and explore. Two cool little driftwood huts were constructed to help get out of the sun. The best experience on the whole island.

Great views and beaches. Isaac’s Bay beach is partially protected by the reef and a few people were out snorkelling. Not crowded on the day we visited, maybe a dozen other people along the trail in mid-Feb. A small parking lot holds about a dozen vehicles though you can probably park along the shoulder too. There have been some break ins reported so we just left our windows open with nothing of value in the car.

Looking for an exciting- exhausting, stress releasing type of hike?? We’ll look no further! It was an amazing hike that seemed to give a long hike illusion but to us it wasn’t that long more or a reasonable hike it was shorter than what it actually looked. The water was so amazing. The hike ends at a yellow house. We didn’t get too close because it seems to be private. Wear sunscreen 🧴, bring water, a bit of snacks to go along the way, and don’t forget the hat 🧢 because you are under the sun. Also wear comfortable shoes and if possible try bringing two on for the hike and one for the water. The water does have a bit of rocks 🪨 and seaweed.

Nice hiking trails, with beautiful beaches and views! I wish we could have snorkled here, but it was too windy/huge waves, tho we still saw a few people out there. Hopefully next time, if we make it back to ST Croix.

25May2025: This is a beautiful hike. At the parking lot at the top before you get to Udall point, you can park if there is a spot. Parking lot will hold about eight vehicles. Remember, leave no valuables in sight or even in the car. I recommend you leave the car unlocked with the windows in the back rolled down, as to keep from having a window broken. Some windows had been broken in at the parking lot previously. The hike is not too strenuous. but lose shake in places. You do need to have decent shoes. Unfortunately the sargassa seaweed at Jack's Bay and beach covered everything, and it was unusable. Isaac's Bay is a little better but still not good.

My #1 hike on STX. Amazing views and sounds from the ocean!! Best part of this hike is the flexibility. You can hike a moderate/gentle trail for 20 minutes and get the feel, or you can continue on and explore the beaches etc… Favorite thing to do it picnic on one of the peninsula’s that offers the best waterfront view.

We loved these gardens. Lots to see. History too! From the woman who provided our tickets, to the gentleman working in the manor house, everyone we met were very welcoming!

Stunning gardens and sugar plantation ruins, including a cemetery. Not too busy, peaceful. You'll get some gorgeous pictures. It was a nice place to visit on the day we were leaving the island, after we had to check out of the hotel but had a couple hours before our flight. Just a few minutes from the airport. You can wander the grounds at your own pace. It was $15 admission. The gift shop has some nice local artisan work & souvenirs, and they sell adult beverages.

Such a beautiful place with a sad colonial history. The exotic and unusual trees and plantings were extraordinary, worth spending time enjoying the diversity and thoughtful arrangement of plant life among the crumbling foundations and mills. Historically, this is a real treasure. One can appreciate the beauty of the respectful preservation efforts and tasteful restorations, while being circumspect about the property’s oppressive past. Astounding collection of remarkable trees, including one of the oldest kapok trees on the island and a stunning baobab, as well as banyan and other fascinating arboreal specimens. If you are a tree fanatic, this is your place. As a bonus, fruit bats live in the overseer’s old house and pollinate the gardens, which may be a kind of karmic justice. Be sure to go early- it gets hot walking around, even though there is a lot of shaded areas. Also, bring water! Once you walk away from the front, there is not place else in the property to get a drink, and you will want one! Plan to spend 1-2 hours.

The Botanical Garden is so peaceful and serene. I would recommend visiting our botanical garden to any local and/or visitor. Also, check the events page, there are several well attended local events at the BG. A local gem.

The gardens and rainforest trails were wonderful. All of the historical ruins and garden spots were labeled so you could understand what you were looking at. The history of the sugar mill and plantation were well presented and fascinating to explore. This site is a gem. The single attendant at the gift shop was especially kind and accommodating to our late afternoon arrival (they close at 3). The gift shop, btw, is a worthwhile opportunity to browse local artisans' crafts and offerings. Give yourself at least 2 hours to really explore the grounds. Oh and be sure to say "hello" to the bats hanging out in the Overseer's house.

This was one of my favorite spots on the island. Yeah I know the beach and ocean are out there. For 10 bucks (less if you're old or young) it's worth it. We spent 2 hours here. They claim to have 1000+ species. I believe them. Great exhibits and a well taken care of,peaceful place. A mix of old and new and some good history of the property. There are a couple small museums included on the property and a gift shop. Check it out!

My daughter and I visited mid Sunday last July. We parked in the free on site lot and entered through the gift shop where we were immediately granted admission as our reciprocal botanical garden membership made for free entry. The gift shop clerk gave us a map and shared his thoughts on the best ways to get around. There were about 15-20 attractions and we made it our goal to visit all before the gardens closed at 4pm, which took a little over two hours to do. At one point we discovered that in 1972 Lakeside Manufacturing Inc., of our hometown Milwaukee, WI, donated seven acres of land to the gardens! As we trekked through the different exhibits, the sounds of leaves dancing to the tune of singing birds served as our journey’s soundtrack, adding to the peaceful adventure. If I could, I would live there.

Beautiful setting, but hotel needs a lot of updating….

Beach Hotel on the Cay is a fantastic spot! It has a small restaurant, and you can rent chairs and umbrellas for a comfortable day. We loved the beach and had an amazing time there. Just keep in mind, bringing your own cooler isn’t allowed. A great place to relax and enjoy the sun! On the other hand, Hotel on the Cay is not as advertised online. The property is in serious need of renovations, the pool is out of service, and there is no on-site restaurant. Disappointing compared to expectations.

During our trip we stayed at Hotel On The Cay and had a chance to check out other beach areas. Besides the Buck Island, I think this is the best spot to go for swimming. There's a bit more space to spread people around without laying too close to each other in compare to other beach on the island. Furthermore, onsite there are beach chairs, umbrellas and food that are available for a fee (as well as a restroom). The only downside is when holidays comes around everyone seem to flock on this beach and can get pretty noisy. We saw a few people drunk and loud music blaring to a point that it became annoying. Other than that, this is likely the best spot for a beach day on the island.

We tool the ferry over to spend some time on the beach and have lunch. The restaurant was a tiny dive, so we didn't eat there. Our impression of the hotel in one word was "shabby." We would never consider staying there. Heard hotel staff comment that many of the air conditioners were not working.

Nice little island with a great beach for snorkeling, or just relaxing. Hotel guests can be a little messy, so I do wish the hotel staff cleaned the beach more often or enforced cleanliness.

Love it here. Shortly after the hurricanes they were hosting travelers. Not everything was functional ( bar, rest., etc.) but it was very liveable. Short ferry ride to the board walk makes the entire town accessible. Not fancy but very comfortable.

CASH ONLY. Not a judgement, but should help planning your trip. We enjoyed our visit, trip isn't as bad as some report, just come from the east. If you choose to take Mahogany Road from F'sted, a regular truck or jeep is fine. The road is rough, but nothing crazy. Food was decent, burger was a little overcooked. Service was great. Sharing a beer with the pigs is the highlight and why most people visit. Its worth spending a few extra dollars, but be prepared to wear some of the beer.

Absolutely loved our visit to Mt. Pellier Domino Club! The location has the best laid-back, chill atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the local vibe. The staff was incredibly pleasant; Alicia, in particular, was so kind and welcoming to us. We were also blown away by the food it was genuinely some of the best we had during our entire stay on the island. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and cooked with care. Despite seeing some negative reviews online, our experience was nothing but positive. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. One helpful tip: it’s a cash-only spot, so come prepared. 💲💵💲 Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in St. Croix this place is a gem! 🐖

I had the best time here. We had drinks like MamaWanna! Beans rice and delicious pork. Cash only and be ready to feed non alcoholic beers to their pigs.

If you’re looking for a wonderfully laid back, local feel type place to escape to the middle of the rainforest - definitely recommend stopping here! Note - it is a cash only place! We went here our first day and last day of our trip last May and we wish we could go back every week! We got to try mamawanna cocktails (even took a few bottles home with us!), fresh Johnny cakes, delicious biscuits and gravy breakfasts, and feeding the cute pigs na beer. The staff was all friendly and shared fun stories. Definitely worth stopping here when you visit St Croix!

Love the environment of this place!! The pigs were amazing and it was so much fun to watch them drink NA beers!!! We unfortunately weren’t able to eat because arrived late, but the food smelled delicious!!

We didn’t eat here, just had drinks and of course shared some beers with the pigs. But we tried the local bush tea and mamawana and it was a highlight of our trip. You need to be super careful or realistically a jeep to get there, especially if it’s raining, which happens pretty much daily. Great customer service and fun chatting with locals.

So I had no intention of going here but on the last day of our trip our adventures led us here anyways. We drove in from the West which was a more adventurous road than from the east. We did not need a jeep or anything like that. The atmosphere was so relaxed. I could have stayed all day. The drinks were tasty, unique, and strong. The service was so incredibly friendly, personable, and welcoming. We did the pig tour. The pigs seemed happy and excited for their cans of non alcoholic beer. They did stink (my concern because I've been to pig farms before). But the smell did not impact the restaurant area at all. We spent most of our trip near the beach, but this place was definitely the best vibe.

Decided to do this on our vacation and it did not disappoint. The ride out there was cool and the beach was really nice. The snorkeling on the reef was great and saw lots of different kinds of fish. Saw some barracudas too. Chuck,Kelly and the rest of the crew (Don't remember their names) were awesome. Very knowledgeable. They fed us burgers,hot dogs,and mahi afterwards and of course the vodka punch. All in all,a great experience.

Relaxing excursion, professional boat crews, very very service oriented. The coral near buck island is otherworldly and the crew lets you explore on your own. Lots of freedom. The lunch and free drinks were just a cherry on top and much better than expected. They cook on an outdoor grill in a secluded area of the island and everyone congregates like it’s an outdoor party. Best excursion of around 20 excursions in my lifetime.

Absolutely loved our Buck Island trip with Big Beards. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The beach and snorkeling were just stunning. The beach we had lunch at was great as well and the food was really good. Thanks for making it a wonderful experience!

Truly awesome experience at a fair price. We did the half day tour to Buck Island. The whole experience was very entertaining. We took off from the christensted harbor, traveling against the current. The ride was slightly bumpy but really fun. They let small groups of people go to the front of the boat if they want to. Buck Island of course was very beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed being part of nature. The snorkeling area was spectacular. We went on a morning tour so it wasn't very crowded. I would highly recommend that. We did not see any turtles but there were lots of different fish and coral. On the way back to the port, they serve a mutiny vodka fruit punch which was absolutely delicious and STRONG. Our crew was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Perfect balance of fun, entertainment and safety. If you're in St. Croix, I would highly recommend doing a big beard tour!

We had such a wonderful time on the half-day Buck Island tour! The crew created such a fun and welcoming vibe from the start. A special shout-out to Charlie, who was incredibly kind and accommodating with my husband, as he couldn’t swim — she made sure my husband was comfortable and still had a great experience. Snorkeling around the reef and Turtle Beach was just breathtaking — the fish, the corals, and the clear water were truly nature’s beauty. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. To top it all off, the unlimited vodka fruit punch was a great touch and much appreciated! Overall, the crew, the atmosphere, and the scenery made this an unforgettable experience. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat. 🐠🐢🌴🍹

We had the BEST time on the half day, Buck Island tour! This was our second trip, because we loved it so much the first time. If you’re visiting St. Croix- This is a MUST! Also- Shoutout to Chuck…He IS the best!!

Worth every dollar for the full day excursion. Excellent snorkeling with all the gear provided. Great grill-out food (including mahi mahi) and great guides. Highly recommend.

Peaceful and picture-perfect beach! Dorsch Beach is a beautiful, relaxing spot with clear and calm water, ideal for swimming, snorkeling or just unwinding by the shore. It’s a family-friendly beach with natural shade in some areas, making it comfortable for a day visit. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning, making it a perfect place to wind down in the late afternoon. 📌 Tip: Some parts of the beach are rocky, so bringing water shoes is a good idea. Parking is available along the roadside. A serene, scenic spot that offers the perfect blend of beauty and tranquility. 🌅🌴🏖️

Ohhh my! What a beautiful beach. Sandy, Clear calm waters.. I brought my dog for a swim and she loved it… she’s not a fan of waves and it was super calm for her.

Gorgeous beach. It would be easy to accidentally drive by or not come this way at all if staying on the other side of the island. That’s ok, more for us in Fredericksted ;) Soft and plunging sand, good swimming, great bites at Sand Castle By The Sea hotel. And of course the west facing sunsets!

Great water to swim in, although the current can be very strong at times, so stay aware. Plenty of parking; nice spot to cool and hold a vibes. Mampi dem ah bite early in the day and after 6 or so, and sand can get HOT - still plenty of shade under ah sea grape tree. Nice

Probably one of the most beautiful, untouched beaches I've ever seen. The water was so calm, like a pool!

Everything was fantastic! While I would describe the food as simple or basic, it still felt fitting for the setting. The breathtaking views combined with the charming beachside restaurant atmosphere truly elevated the experience. There’s something magical about being there at sunset, with the vibrant colors reflecting off the water and the gentle sound of waves in the background. It's the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal, making it a delightful place to unwind. 🌇

Off the wall quickly became one of our happy places on St Croix. We ended up there 3 times over the course of our visit. Very good and fairly priced food, fantastic view, especially of the sunset and friendly welcoming staff. Everything we had was good: tacos (fish & BBQ pork), veggie egg rolls, burgers, but our favorite were the fries... Some of the best anywhere!

Lovely seaside bar and grill tucked away on the northwestern side of the island. The Surf n Turf burger was good. I popped in for a late lunch. The place looks like a great time during the sunset and evening and will go back. Very close to a beautiful snorkeling beach.

Off the Wall is a great spot on Cane Bay. On a recent trip, we enjoyed Off the Wall twice for lunch. The location is right on the water and the bar has a great selection. The food was excellently prepared. The staff was attentive and offered suggestions for drinks and food. The BLT was amazing.

Food was good. Got the hot breath burger and mac and cheese (get the beans as MC was fair) and burger was good not a preprocessed patty it was scratch, and other couple got onion rings (very good btw) and smash burger with black beans / rice was good. Drinks were good $14 for frozen and $6 beer. Atmosphere was great as right next to ocean with beautiful very view. Staff very nice and checks up on you.

Terrific views and seriously great food! Both the Jerk Pork and Blackened Shrimp Tacos were excellent. The best lunch we had in a week on St. Croix!

Apparently the menu just changed. No pizza or tacos but the sandwiches were great. Staff very happy!

I loved this beach it was absolutely beautiful. The road there was very rocky but we didn’t mind. It was worth it and absolutely stunning.

The refuge itself is closed seasonally, but the long beautiful sandy beach before you get to the reserve is one of my favorite places on earth. On 6/21 I get to go to the refuge to watch for turtle hatchlings and make sure they make it to the water. I can't wait!

This is the most beautiful stretch of beach. If you go to St. Croix, you must at least visit for the picture perfect view!!

Bee-u-tee-full! Because just saying beautiful hardly describes the north beach at Sandy Point. My cousins brought me here for a wonderful afternoon of fun and sun. The mampee loves the taste of my Texas skin, but thankfully I met this super cool lady, Dr. Marni, that hooked me up with bug spray, soothing ointment, and bug repellent. If you do come here, bring your own shade.

Conditions of the surf and beach entry change from week to week. Very pristine and expansive beach. For first time visitors, there is no shade and umbrellas or shade features that have to be pushed into the sand are prohibited. Sandy Point is only open on weekends and is closed several months during turtle nesting season.

Beautiful place with nice beaches but only open until 4pm on weekends and totally closed for a few months each year for turtle nesting. See my picture for hours. Friendly and helpful park ranger. Definitely worth a visit if you can time it right.

Most Serene and beautiful place on the west of the island. Pristine nesting grounds for see turtles make this a great spot, although it is closed April through late summer so the titles aren't disturbed. I LOVED this place. Our condo was the closest building to it, and it provided a great view.

Saw a sign on the street for “lobster dip” and found our way up a staircase by the most beautiful bougainvillea. No dips whatsoever (they also have crab dip). Well that was disappointing. There was a limited menu. But we stayed for the $5 tacos, which in hindsight wasn’t the best idea. They were mostly onion tacos. The beef was the driest ground beef I’ve ever had. The shrimp was decent but again so overpowered by a mass of onions that the food was just sustenance. If you don’t get a balcony spot outside the indoor seating and atmosphere is dark and awkward. The server wasn’t helpful and had no inclination to be friendly. The hostess checked on us more than our server.

Great local spot for lunch and drinks!! The lobster dip was amazing! We also had the Chicken sandwich and the steak and cheese. Great food and great service. Our waitress was the best we have had on the island so far! A must try if in the area.

Awful experience. Went with family after excursion from cruise ship. Very disappointed. Went here because reviews were good. We're seated fairly quickly, but once seated ordered food then told most of the food ordered was unavailable. Literally the menu was very small to begin with. See photo. We ordered Mahi Mahi, but was not available, then ordered burger, was unavailable, then was told pulled pork wasn't available. Was also yold lobser dip was not available and wings weren't available. Then only menu items you could order were salads, fries or chips and salsa. We ordered drinks, which were delivered. Then we told the waitress, who failed to make eye contact several times that we wanted 3 orders of fries. I had to go up to her and ask for them. We never received any food. My husband ordered a peanut butter pie and was not given silver ware. He had to go to the bar to get a fork. They never brought our salad, but tried to charge us for the salad and a Mahi Mahi sandwich which we never received. The manager was a completely ridiculous. He ignored us and tried to make us pay for things we did not receive. DO NOT EAT HERE! They continued to seat patrons knowing they had no food to serve, yet offering menus to people.

My second time visiting and this time around I really enjoyed the atmosphere. New ownership so there's definitely some items that will evolve over time, but the tacos were great! Drinks were excellent...delicious Pina cold as! Can't wait to go back on an event night when I return on island! Definitely a place to look out for that's going to do great things with an updated local flair menu soon!

A little hard to find since you go through and alley and up a set of stairs from behind the building. Definitely worth the trek though. We had the blackened Mahi sandwich and the lobster dip. Both were excellent, that blackening had great flavor but wasn’t overpowering. The dip was absolutely amazing great flavor as well. Service was great, super friendly, just a great little place to hang out and enjoy the food and the atmosphere.

My wife and I were here on a cruise. I stopped in here for a beer and to buy a t shirt. Very friendly upstairs location. I didn’t look at the menu or try the food, but plenty of people were eating. There was karaoke running, but mostly music as no one was singing. Anyhow, I had a great cold beer and love my t shirt!

DISCLAIMER: We are a group of 5 traveling via a cruise line. St. Croix was one of our stops, and this restaurant was a few yards from the dock. We walked there, so I cannot provide insight on parking. We are from SC, and love to frequent tap houses and breweries/pubs. OVERVIEW: Server was nice and grill/cook was super cool, but food quality was super poor and NOT worth the price. This may be a beloved spot by locals for the view and maybe nighttime activities, but not as a tourist. If I lived nearby, I would not return. I'd like to note that it was not the price of the food that was the issue, but the quality that followed. I would not have minded paying $17 for nachos, had they been good. See photos for reference. Also, I don't know about the recent review that says the pool is free to play, but we were told that it's $5 per person. The drinks weren't bad and the waitress was nice, which saved the review. I am going to try and be as polite as possible in this review, as based on looking at past reviews, the person responding as the owner is quite defensive. We were greeted at our table almost immediately and handed paper menus, but never checked on again until we asked for help. While the waitress was nice, we waited nearly 10min for her to come over (again, not until one of us went to the bar and ASKED for help) and take our drinks. We are regular tourists so we understand the pricing of food, but typically it is met with quality. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The burger bun was so rock hard and stale that it had to be removed before eating. Absolutely NO changes could be made to the order (such as adding tomato or lettuce to the plain burger) and no sides could be ordered, according to our waitress. The chicken wrap had stale tortilla and extremely dry UNmarinated chicken. Luckily, the spicy mayo made it edible. The side pasta salad was interesting but not bad. The nachos were mostly crumbs and shredded cheese (see photo). The price for the beer flight wasn't bad, but the Soca Spiked Seltzer tasted like seltzer water. The chicken kabobs were actually pretty good, but not filling at all. The burger itself was cooked well, too, but the accompaniments were disappointing. This tells me that their grill cook was great at cooking, but maybe not the best replacement for the owner, who I learned was not even on the island. Another note: they allowed someone to bring their two dogs into the bar/restaurant, and while I don't necessarily mind pets like others might, I could see why this would upset others. PLEASE READ: While I understand that businesses came under hard times during COVID and may not have recovered, charging high prices for sub-par or disappointing food is not acceptable. I would happily pay $17 for a good plate of nachos, or the same price for a well made burger. This review is not a slight on your pricing, but your quality of ingredients. I also heard that someone, while we were dining, unfortunately ran out on their tab. Thats extremely sad to me, as I am always one to simply bite the bullet and count a meal as a loss, rather than complain or leave without paying (though a 20% forced gratuity, no matter the size of the party is ridiculous - especially if its added because your standard customers dont tip.) I will also update reviews if I return with a different experience.

Interesting historical site. Fees charged for entry. Nice ocean views and many rooms have been turned into galleries with offerings from local artist.

I loved the fact that this Fort is set up as a museum. That really brings the history of this place back to life

Lots of history! Go on a Monday when the cruise ships are docking and see all the locals and their wares!

Fort Frederik was inspiring. Brings you back to a much different time in history. The fort itself needs a lot of work but was recently approved for a 6.4 million dollar grant. Lots of art work from locals and tons of information about its history. Worth the 5 dollar donation to check everything out.. Having someone there to answer questions would have been a plus and would have gotten the 5th star.

$5 cash per person, no credit cards, interesting history boards on the walls of the fort. I felt like highschoolers made the boards with content. They have an art room which is very basic not actual art from that Era, and really is art from 12th graders. I think the rooms could have been staged more on the bottom of the fort. The captains quarters was staged nicely and gave realistic view of how people lived in the fort. It's self guided. Would be nice to have a guided tour offered at times.

Interesting small fort to explore, but highly recommended while in town to learn about local history. It doesn’t take a lot of time to visit while already in Frederiksted.

Nice area just wish that there was a little more to do and see even though it was a pretty nice and quite tour of the fort. It was a self guided tour with signs along the way for you to read and learn of the local history and the fort.

An amazing little beach. Calm waters for swimming, and relaxing. Good size parking lot, and super cool trail down to the beach. Can't recommend enough.

Love this beach - and such a cool walk through underneath the vines. The view is really nice. Not a very wide beach but long ago you can definitely walk down and get some space. You have to go through a gated community but you just say you’re going to the beach and they let you through no problem. Free parking.

Shoys is a super quite long stretch of sand that only had 2 other people on it when we visited for the day. Parking is ample and the shaded tree tunnel is so unique as an entrance. It is a short walk from the parking. There are shade spots all up and down and the water is sandy to get in much of the sections near the entrance. This beach gives you solitude if that is what you are.looking for.

Beautiful beach, few people, shade, great place to chill, relax, and snorkel! You can walk around the rocky area but wear water shoes as there are tons of sea urchins!

My favorite beach on St Croix. Just beautiful! We went on a Thursday at the beginning of March and hardly anyone was there. Ample shade and a unique entrance through a “tunnel” made of tree branches. There are no facilities at this beach so bring plenty of water and snacks.

One of the best beaches on island with a wide shore and plenty of shade. Great snorkeling and underwater dive action! Also, if you're into collecting rocks at the beach, there are lots of varieties, including a loooot of serpentinite.

Nice beach, quiet with few people. Good area to snorkel. Plenty of shade as well. When you turn in off the road go to the gatehouse on the right.

Beautiful beach, we didn’t see anyone but the people on boats in the 3 hours we were there. Surf was rough and lots of rocks, maybe okay for snorkeling on a calmer day, not great for swimming. Fantastic to lay and get some sun and watch the boats come into the marina and out to buck island. Get dinner at the galleon after!!

Lovely secluded and shady beach. We had it all to ourselves and saw only one other couple the whole day. It was very windy and choppy so we didn't get to snorkel the reef but we enjoyed swimming! The dirt road in is manageable with any SUV and the entrance is a marked by small metal gate to the right before the marina entrance.

We loved this beach. The dirt road in was pretty rough, but the beach is beautiful. The east side is good for swimming. We saw quite a few green sea turtles while there.

Lots and lots of coral and seaweed. Not really swimmable. If you’re wanting to snorkel, this is probably a great spot.

We were the only ones here. It’s completely gorgeous and well kept historical place.

Great historical site that you can stroll around and learn some history. Places here are still rented so owners ask that you respect the privacy of the guests. 4 wheel drive road, navigable by car if not raining heavily. Beautiful grounds and interesting structures. Worth the trip.

I so enjoyed this place, so nice of who ever runs it to make it so inviting and beautiful. We walked around for about a half hour. It is well worth a stop. Don't be put off because of the dirt road it was easy to get to.

This place was well off the beaten path, having to travel down a very potholed Road, then up another gravel Road to get to it on the very western side of the island. I can honestly say it was worth every second of the trip! This place was absolutely incredible. It's the ruins of an Old sugar plantation and rum factory nestled in the hills. There was a lot of history to discover here, however the best part was the serenity. It is extremely well maintained, quiet, and very very beautiful. A must see!

Quiet place, and pretty interesting. If you want to go drive a jeep or a truck the road in is pretty rough. Even though there is not a guide present looking at the construction of the house and barn is impressive considering they were built before the 1780's

Private property but it’s very gracious of the owners to allow for touring of the grounds. Don’t go up to the house though! That’s a residence.

Such an outstanding restaurant in every way. As you walk in you are immediately greeted. The greeter was outgoing, fun, and chatty. The restaurant is island casual, but yet still a higher end experience. They have an extensive wine list, fun local made cocktails, and a full bar to make any drink you would like. The bartended is very well experienced and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our table with views of Atlantic Ocean, boats in the marina, and tarpon swimming around looking for their dinner. Our service from the moment we sat was definitely 5 star. Alex our waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered a couple of appetizers followed by a delicious dinner. All of our food was fresh and local. Which certainly adds to the experience. After dinner we shared a dessert. This restaurant is a must. Give them a shot I guarantee you’ll love it!

My nephew told me about this place, so we decided to go there for dinner. I made reservations for tonight. We were seated right away by the hostess. Our server, David, came and greeted us a few minutes after we were seated, told us about the specials, and provided us with menus. Our table was a bit sticky so we mentioned it to the David who informed us that there was some sort of issue with the finishing on our table as well as some of the other tables in the dining area. I was a little surprised that these tables had that type of issue and were still being used by customers in the dining area. my nephew visited this restaurant a few times before. He was excited for me to try a drink that he ordered last time he visited, TAMARIND OLD FASHIONED, so we both ordered one. The drink was not as my nephew remembered it; he said he could actually taste the tamarind and it was a really good drink. What we received tonight, was mixed differently. It tasted like angostura bitters and a ton of alcohol. It was very strong and neither of us could taste the tamarind flavor in it. I mentioned it to David, and he had the bartender add some more tamarind syrup and ice to the mixture. When he brought it back, it was OK but still not tasting as my nephew experienced it the last time he was there. We ordered appetizers and main courses. My nephew thoroughly enjoyed the beef appetizer special. I ordered the bay scallops appetizer special. The scallops were cooked well but I wasn’t too crazy about the sauce. I ordered one of the entrée specials for tonight, the little neck clams with linguine. I’ve ordered a similar dish at other restaurants before so I typically enjoy it. The al dente style of the linguine was perfect but the entire dish was way too salty. The linguine was salty and the clams were salty. It also had too much butter. I mentioned to David to let the chef know that the dish was too salty. He said OK and left. My nephew’s meal was OK. He liked the salmon special that he ordered but contemplated asking for the salmon to be cooked a little bit more well done. He opted to not do that and instead take it home and prepare it the way he likes it. He ordered a side of macaroni and cheese as well but didn’t like it too much so also decided to take that home to add his favorite seasonings. Based on my experience at the restaurant tonight, I am rating this visit as a 3 star. The food did not stand out. The dishes, particularly my dishes, could have used some improvements: however, the scenery is absolutely beautiful.

Owner should be ashamed!!! Bought a bottle of Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine. One wine glass had soap in it - glass was full of bubbles and a film on top of the wine. Server replaced the glass, disregarding the fact that the wine had to be thrown out - replaced a full glass with an empty glass on the table without saying anything. After receiving the bill, I had to leave the table to bring this issue to her attention. Not good! I had the surf & turf, special that night. Filet mignon, by itself, is $48 on the regular menu. Charged $123 for the plate... meaning that a 1/2 lobster tail equals $75?! My guests had a great tasty meal. Shrimp & Grits and Duck breast. This could have been handled more appropriately. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Loved it so much we went back two days later! This has to be the best restaurant in St Croix.. fine dining at its best. Hats off to the chef for making incredible dishes! Duck, ribeye, and rack of lamb are all phenomenal.. not to mention all the side options! The waitstaff is very attentive and professional. If you’re looking for special not out, visit The Galleon!

The atmosphere was nice, we sat out on the patio. The waitress was nice but was very clueless about the bar selection. Everything we wanted was out of stock and she offered no substitutes. We ended up drinking passion fruit juice. The appetizer took forever even though there was only three to four tables occupied in the entire restaurant, we got the tamarind shrimp, the cornbread was the only thing good. FINALLY, our food came, my salmon was only cooked on the top, bottom was completley raw, makes me wonder how they cooked it, the aparagus tasted like they was on the verge of going bad. I boxed my food up for my dog. Waste of a good $102. Never ever again!

Outstanding in every way. Location, atmosphere, service, food, entertainment was lovely, Steve playing guitar. Including the friends at our table. Clam linguine, lamb chops, salmon, sirloin special, wedge salads, wings, scallop appetizer. I didn’t want to leave. Wished it was my restaurant. Visiting from Wisconsin.

Food is very delicious, although the mixed drinks are awful. If you eat dinner here, definitely stick with wines or beer if you want an alcoholic beverage. I’ve tried the mimosas, cosmopolitan and pisco sour and all were awful! Drinks were so bad I didn't even bother taking a picture! It also took forever for our entrees to come out.

Beautiful views and a great place to learn a little island history.

We got in for free, I was expecting to pay $10 but they weren’t charging. Good place to check out if you have time go early in the morning and also there’s a lot of good history. Take time to read about what happened here.

This is a nice little park and the fort is interesting, but nothing special. It takes about 15 minutes to do the whole fort, though there is some interesting history. If you are like me, you do all the reading before getting there, so walking around is quite quick as it’s a small fort. There is a park around it and other buildings that make up the historical site itself. However when I went all of these were closed. It was also really hard to actually find the staff and get my brochure and stamp. I think in the summer, its probably more interesting, when everything is open.

Refurbishment seems to be on going with this historic fort. Near the vibrant downtown boardwalk area.

So breezy, peaceful, and very chill, positive vibes. Nice ocean view as well. Great place to stretch your legs and plan your next move, or just sit and enjoy the roosters that pass by every so often.

Very beautiful historic fort, good information provided throughout the buildings. Worth a visit to walk through the fort and up to the cannon deck/top level. The customs house outside the fort was not available to walk through, but was neat to see from the outside.

Park Rangers are theee WORST EVER!! MAYBE I DONT UNDERSTAND THE LAWS OF DRIVING OR PARKING ON THE STREET ADJACENT TO THE BUILDING BUT THESE RANGERS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES AND VIRGIN ISLANDS LAW IN PROPER ENGLISH AND STOP BEING IGNORANT BECAUSE THEY HAVE A BADGE. ALOT OF US LOCAL KNOW THATS THE GOVERNMENT STREET (PUBLIC) THEN TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO DONT LOOK LIKE US TELL US THIS IS FEDERAL PROPERTY AND TRY TO RECORD US WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION IS CRAZY. #CLARIFY #OR SHUT UP #AREN'T YOU ON FURLOUGH #YOU ARE NOT ESSENTIAL #THIS IS OUR ISLAND #IM DONE FOR NOW

This trip was nothing short of incredible!! Captain Allie and her crew were absolutely awesome! They made it so much fun and were also extremely informative. Those 3 women were such a joy to be around! The boat was super clean, and the ride wasn’t rough at all. The snorkeling was gorgeous beyond my wildest dreams. I wish we would have done the whole day instead of the half.

We had such an amazing time on this charter with Captain Allie and crew member Lila! The tour was the perfect length, enough time to snorkel, relax, and enjoy without ever feeling rushed. The snorkeling gear was high quality, and they even gave a quick lesson that made us feel totally confident before getting in the water. The amenities onboard were spot on, and the rum punch was absolutely delicious,such a fun way to end the trip! Captain Allie and Lila were both friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they do. We felt safe, relaxed, and completely taken care of the whole time. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience , highly recommend this tour!

We did a half-day snorkeling tour to Buck Island as a family. We spent some time swimming and relaxing at Turtle Beach, then explored the stunning, expansive coral reef. The crew was incredibly friendly and professional, taking the time to connect with each guest. They were especially attentive to everyone’s needs—helping with gear fitting, guiding us through the coral reef, and ensuring our kids were safe and comfortable by bringing along a flotation ring they could hold onto for breaks. After the snorkeling, we were all treated to refreshing drinks—alcoholic cocktails for the adults and non-alcoholic ones for the kids. There was lots of chatting and laughter throughout. Highly recommend this tour!

We had the best time! My husband and I went TWICE the week we were here in St Croix. All the crew members were super informative and made our time so enjoyable that we had to go twice. The beach and snorkeling was so nice, we saw lots of marine life and it was a great experience! Don’t hesitate!

We were in St Croix for our family reunion last weekend and went to Buck Island with Carribean Sea Adventures. It was a FABULOUS trip that my family will never forget. The crew was amazing and pointed out things on the island for us, took a group picture of us and answered all our questions! I would highly recommend them! Loved it!

My review is like everybody else's - THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST! Very professional, knowledgeable and personable. I've chartered day trips several times in the Caribbean and this day at Buck Island was one of the best. If you go to St. Croix and don't go to Buck Island and use Caribbean Sea Adventures you'll miss a special day.

Randy was amazing! He took us sightseeing, snorkeling, did a little fishing then ended the day anchoring at Cay Bay. Hopped off the boat and swim to shore to eat at Rocking BBQ! We were a group of 9 (5 kids, 4 adults) and everyone had a blast!! We will book again when we come back to St. Croix. Make sure to grab a SPF shirt from him as well. They are so comfortable. Our kids love theirs!

Captain Randy was such a great tour guide! He dealt with our group of 11 with ease. We did some awesome snorkeling, spent a few hours at a lovely beach (found a ton of starfish), did a little fishing, and finished the day off at a great spot for lunch on the beach. Would highly recommend Down South! 10/10!

Captain Randy and Jake were the perfect choice for our St Croix fishing trip! My son, his friend and I had a great day and caught mahi mahi and barracuda. Captain Randy’s boat made a huge difference in our day…seas were rough, but the 36’ Yellowfin was more than up to the task and spotlessly clean. Lastly, Captain Randy ran high quality gear…rods/reels/lures/bait/lines/hooks were all quality and made sure you never needlessly lose fish. I will 100% book Down South Charters again.

Great day, nice boat and Capt. Randy worked hard to get us the fish we were targeting . At the end of the day it just wasn’t in the cards, we caught plenty of barracuda though. As a person who grew up fishing, I know that everyday can’t be the best day……..:). All in all an amazing day with a great captain. Thank You!

Randy made it the perfect day! We had a group of 10 including kids from 2-15. Everyone had so much fun! Highly recommend him for your charter! He made the trip to fit us and everyone enjoyed it!

We had a wonderful time fishing and snorkeling with Down South Charters. I had talked to Captain Randy prior to booking and he answered all of my questions. We caught fish, snorkeled to some amazing reefs and saw a lot of sea life and had good conversations. If you have a large group like ours (we had 8) or even a smaller group than that, you will not be disappointed. If we ever come back to St. Croix we will be using Down South Charters again. Special shout out to Captain Randy's ship mate Jake for helping us reel in Mahi Mahi's and Barracuda's.

Took a tour of the facility. It was very intimate as there were a total of 4 people on it. Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. Drinks on the patio after were complimentary and tasty. Good for a quick trip.

Janae was our guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable. It was an eye opening tour and a great way to spend sometime on vacation.

KYLA was AMAZING she absolutely made our tour! We did the drink experience and she gave us fantastic suggestions and made a drink special For the rum that I liked the best! The location is so cute! We did the tasting and then spent time on the patio and yard playing games like corn hole and huge jenga! It was awesome

This is just a great tour. I learned a little bit about the history of both the island and the rum distillery business. Took about 30 minutes total, and the actual sampling at the end of the tour was incredible. Great gift gift shop. Highly recommend.

Nice stop to make on your way back to the airport. Make reservations! I loved trying the molasses, our sweet guide Desha and the samples of rum and mixed drinks!!

Since moving to St Croix, we’ve done this tour three times, bringing new visitors each time. It’s a great tour, informative without being boring. And it includes tastings of 4 of their flavored rums and 2 cocktails. Shekila has been our tour guide for 2 of their flavored rums visits, one of the reasons we keep coming back, she’s awesome!

Phenomenal beach! not too crowded, on a Tuesday midday, and plenty of shade, quiet. We enjoyed a few hours on this gorgeous beach and my husband saw two sea turtles while snorkeling near the shore. Lots of food vendors nearby as well. Ample parking along the street.

Great beach with shade!! Easy access to the beach, trash cans, plenty of space. Stay close to the boat ramp for the best sand and less rocks.

Beautiful beach and a very nice and scenic drive getting there. It was pretty busy, so if you want seclusion, this is not the place. But if you want a nice beach with friends and some good services around, it is a great place to go.

Found it to be a lot smaller than thought… nice beach bar & restaurant across the street with a killer Chicken Cesar wrap!! good place to view the sunset.

Our favorite beach on STX. The mountains in the backdrop, palms, great snorkeling, and amazing sunsets ☀️ set this beach apart! The water is usually pretty calm and there is a really nice sandy swimming area right near the old cement pier. Great restaurant options within short walking distance as well.

First, massive respect to the people who come here to enjoy our beaches and leave no Trace. If you're bringing your dogs to the beach please clean up after them!! This is the most beautiful beach in Cruz,you will be hard-pressed to find one better. Let's keep it that way so others can enjoy paradise. If you are looking for bars, restaurants, and such this playa is the total opposite. This jewel is a peaceful, serene, natural escape.

If there is one beach you visit in St. Croix, this should be the one. It is only open on weekends during the non hatching season, so plan accordingly. Beautiful soft sand and the crowd is small. The best beach of the trip!!

It is a shame that this park with its several beaches is only open on weekends. Sandy Point offers several beautiful, sandy beaches with stunning views and beautiful, aquamarine waters. When we arrived, the beach was mostly empty, but be forewarned that there are no real amenities here. But if you’re looking for a quiet sandy beach with beautiful views and privacy, you can’t beat Sandy Point

This is a turtle sanctuary so it is only open to the public Saturday-Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM except during turtle mating season when it is closed to the public. There are three beaches with small parking lots that fill up quickly and fairly far from anything on St. Croix so they are not crowded and very well maintained because people are expected to help maintain the sanctuary. The water itself is also pristine.

What a fantastic beach. If you want a beach, this is where to go. The sea is a perfect azure colour and the sand is lovely. Coming here for a few hours to enjoy the beach and go for a swim is a great way to spend the morning, bit hot in the afternoon. If there is one issue, it’s the lack of facilities. If you want the loo you have to go for a drive. Other than that, the place is an ideal location to spend time on the beach. The water is so warm and clear, just lovely.

We loved learning about the sea turtle and bird conservation efforts by two amazing nature conservationists - one a veteran with many years of experience and another a newbie. Both were so passionate about the work and full of interesting knowledge. I wish more people had this experience and could appreciate how important places like this are.

Nice clean beach. We were lucky enough to be the only people there at the time we went and it was so relaxing. Disclaimer: To access the beach there is a long dirt road that you have to travel down. (It's worth it)

Tropical Tiki Tour is a must do if visiting St. Croix. Scott and Leslie are awesome hosts and 1st mate Tiki and 2nd mate VI are adorable. We were able to see a few sea turtles and spend some time on a sand bar. Fantastic day!!!

Me and my wife booked sunset cruise with the Tropical Tiki Tours and it was spectacular . Captain John and Frank were absolutely great , we had lots of fun , great views , dolphins and stingray's everywhere. Best cruise ever ,highly recommend, can't wait to come back again 😀

Loved the Tropocal Tiki Tour. Will do it again with more friends. It’s relaxing and beautiful to watch the sunset and get in the water if you want. Leslie and Scott were great hosts and Tiki and VI (six) were great deckhands. Being able to bring your own beverages and snacks makes it a great value too.

The owners were so nice and down to earth. We took an afternoon tour, saw lots of sea turtles, a sea plane landing, heard some history and current happens. Bluetooth speaker on board, they have a playlist or you can connect yours. Complementary rum punch, but BYOB was perfect for us Wisco people who travel with a stocked backpack cooler. We anchored out in about waist deep in beautiful clear blue water in a nice sandy spot for a while (your choice to stay on the boat or get in the water) It’s recommended to wear water shoes/sandals as there might be conch shells buried in the sand. I personally would bring some snorkeling gear to explore next time. We thought this was also reasonably priced and would love to go again!

Great time with Capt. Scott and Capt Leslie ! Will definitely be back out with them on our next vacation! They are both very knowledgeable of the area and make sure you have a great time !

What a fun way to enjoy an evening with family and friends! Tooling around the Christiansted Harbour, enjoying yummy drinks and snacks, laughing and chatting and meeting new people, dipping in the crystal clear Caribbean waters, and watching the sun set! Leslie and Scott are wonderful "hosts" and took very good care of us! And Tiki, their adorable pooch, is a great first mate!! Highly recommend this!!

Good water for swimming in. The beach is small and managed by the resort. There is a no cooler rule for anyone planning to go, but I was still able to bring drinks in. The beach is on a slight incline so there is not a lot of flat sandy areas.

Really nice beach, crystal clear water, not too crowded and an adjacent bar and restaurant with good food. Easy access to by the Buccaneer resort. Very clean and well kept.

this beach was AMAZING!!! we came here from Divi Carina and we have nothing but positive things to say. the beach was clean, it was quiet, it wasn’t busy at all, and the service was immaculate!!! mayra took care of us, and was so sweet. she made sure everything was to our liking and knew the menu extremely well. there was also a gentleman that came around checking us and our chairs in and he was very nice as well. the food was 110% worth the money - we had the fish and chips and it was soooo fresh!!! the drinks were delicious. 100% come here, the views were breathtaking and the water is beautiful.

Perfect beach for sun, fun, snorkeling and relaxing! A hidden gem that is not too busy but filled with fish and a turtle or two!

Very beautiful beach, the nearby resort offers food and drinks. There is no charge to use the beach just tell them you are there to visit mermaid Beach. Water was fairly calm.

Beautiful, beautiful beach!!! The water was so clear and it makes a good spot for snorkeling, kayaking and paddling boarding. Lots to do at this great beach, it is a must!

Not much here, but the view is good. I went here to fly mmt new drone. It is a nice open space with g class flying zone.

Great outing for kids. Can take a little driving tour of the east end and check out this educational museum dedicated to the reefs. Take care to call them or check their Facebook page as their hours vary.

It's a park on the Southeast side of the island. There are picnic tables,bring your own food, and you can sit and enjoy looking out at the ocean. It is a peaceful, shaded, place to just sit and enjoy

Very large field nice and quiet with fresh breeze from the sea. Excellent for picnic or flying a kite.

Nice sandy beach with views of Christiansted. Not my favorite, but it's probably more geared for families with younger kids. I snorkeled a bit, but needed to swim to the north side of the cay to find some more fish to see. There is also BBQ right next to the beach if you are hungry or need a drink. Chairs and umbrellas are also available for a fee.

The water was very clear and calm, very family friendly. You can rent umbrellas and chairs and there is a nice BBQ place to get food from and also drinks

Two sewers emptying into the water maybe 100 yards from this beach. The smell was horrible on the boardwalk. You don't notice it from this beach but there's no way effluent isn't in the water. And I mean there was used toilet paper and feces clearly visible in the water from the boardwalk.

Great little beach for the family. In a cove, so no waves which is great for learning to snorkel. You can rent cabanas and chairs when you get off the reasonably priced ferry ride. Their is a bar and snack shack. The beers and drinks are reasonable and you can get buckets. My wife gave the burger a 10 out of 10. I gave the buffalo chicken sandwich a 9 out of 10. The wings were a 3 to 4 out of 10. Stay away from those. The Mac and cheese isn't traditional, so be prepared. Overall this is a place you can spend the entire day relaxing.

Great beach for the day. The Rollin Smoke restaurant and bar was really good, staff was great and the live music they had was awesome!!! The guy playing when we were there played most of the day and played great tunes and played them REALLY well. We had a great day there and next time we come to St Croix we are staying at the Hotel on the Cay!!!

Another place I visited multiple times during my vacation. It’s so peaceful, get a cabana, bring your snorkel gear and enjoy a full day. There’s food and drinks and live music. What else do you need?

This is a nice beach. I went here multiple times while I was staying at Hotel on the Cay and was satisfied with my experience each time. This beach has a restaurant, but I didn’t go there so I can’t comment on what that’s like. There’s a wall here that juts out into the ocean, splitting the beach in two. The west side of this beach is more shelly and more busy, while the east side of this beach is more sandy. The restaurant and bar is located on the west side of the beach. While I was here I built a sand castle, which was pretty fun. It had three towers of equal height with a lake in front. I also swam in the ocean, which was nice and cool. I went snorkeling and saw some sea grass. The water is very pretty and completely turquoise blue, which is nice. It’s very clear, so you can see the bottom of the ocean. I gave this beach five stars because it has nice sand the water here is nice and cool.

Nice. Not super calm and you'll catch a lot of plant wash up. Fun to walk and see the views. There is a cove section where you can swim/snorkel but most of it I wouldn't recommend trying.

Here's a pic for comparison. My wife and I stayed here in Nov 2012 and really enjoyed it. Beach was beautiful then and it was very peaceful. Sorry to see that the business failed. Maybe someone will reclaim it someday.

So many beaches, so little time. Not crowded at all. During the unusually windy March, it did have a lot of washed up seaweed.

Sliced my hand on broken window glass hidden in the sand and never went back. I am lucky to have survived.

Not the beach if trying to post up on the sand and go for a swim. Not much beach for a long walk either.

More of a private beach for the houses than public access
