Seafood restaurant
Bar
Zeerover is a popular restaurant located on a wharf in Savaneta, easily accessible by car from various attractions in Aruba. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with an emphasis on fresh seafood, including locally caught fish like mahimahi and barracuda. Visitors can purchase ingredients by the kilo and have them fried or grilled to order.
Zeerover was our favorite restaurant in Aruba. It was highly recommended and we can understand why. There can be a line to order. The menu is very simple. Fried fish, shrimp, and fries. They have popsicles too. You can also get some condiments. The service can be slow, but it’s very much worth the wait. The ambience is amazing. Right on the coast with the waves and wind. The fish is super fresh and you can see it being prepared. Would definitely recommend when you’re in Aruba.

What a hidden gem! Very unique restaurant: you have to stand in line before you enter, order and pay your food, get your drinks and then get a table. Fish is different every day, they also have shrimp. Sides are fries, plantain, or cornbread- everything absolutely delicious! It's right next to the ocean, amazing view. A must when you visit Aruba!
Christina S — Google review
This place is definitely worth a visit . We enjoyed so much we went twice. I will be singing it's praises for all to visit. The menu is simple and that's fantastic. The fishes and shrimps are caught daily and preparation is simple and absolutely delicious. Everything we ate was a mouth watering experience. The hot sauce of the island was fantastic. This place is a must!
Clarice O — Google review
I enjoyed the experience. You wait in line to choose fresh fish and shrimp, and the amount you pick is weighed on the spot. What you selected is then fried right away for you to eat. The positives are that the food is very fresh! The shrimp are huge and the price is VERY affordable. However, I felt that everything had the same flavour… fried, with a kind of chimichurri sauce on top, and the shrimp are not so cleaned (the vein is still there). I also didn’t like having to wait an hour in line, in the heat, just to choose my meal. I loved the fact that you eat with your hands, no fuss! There are several sinks to wash your hands afterward! It’s worth the experience.
Talita L — Google review
Located on the beach, Great for seafood lovers. I had salad and plantain as not much for vegetarians. Others with me had fish. They seemed to enjoy it. Corn bread was actually pancake so do not order it. Fries were good. Place was reasonably priced. Place not very fancy and close to beach
Sho J — Google review
We went during the week around 3pm in the off season and there wasn’t a line. Staff was pretty friendly and helped explain how ordering works. You pick the types of fish and quantities then they fry it all. The food was disappointing. All the fish were deep fried and some pieces of fish were dry. Also lacked seasoning. I’m glad we went because it was recommend by many people but I wouldn’t go back. Luckily we didn’t have to wait in line because it’s definitely not worth it. It’s a pretty view from the patio, though.
Kate L — Google review
Such a unique experience! You pick your seafood at the counter, they weigh it in front of you, and it’s all super fresh — straight from the fishermen’s catch of the day. The fried fish and shrimp were delicious, perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is casual and right by the water, which makes it feel very local and authentic. Definitely a must-visit when in Aruba!
Doha H — Google review
Fresh fried fish that's as good as it's reputation! Pro tip...get there as soon as it opens if you want to beat the lunchtime hordes, avoid a long line/wait time, and get the best seating out by the water!

Restaurant
Located near the Oranjestad port, West Deck is a popular spot to unwind and take in stunning views of boats on the calm Caribbean waters. Originally named for its location on West 7th Street (7 Weststraat), this restaurant is renowned for its reasonably priced gourmet-inspired menu, a rarity in a tourist hub like Oranjestad. Guests can savor one of the seven seafood-inspired dishes during lunch, such as fresh fish.
We had a party of 15 came at 6:30 for dinner and was able to get right in. They treated us like we were family. We were sat at a square table that we all could sit at underneath some amazing trees and beautiful lights. The staff was truly amazing and made us all feel Very special. The food was amazing even though I didn’t take pictures. Everybody’s food was great. The drinks were perfect. Highly reccomend!!! The fried grouper was a highlight Melting in our mouth. The pan fried panta was also amazing.

✨ On my vacation to Aruba, I visited this seafood restaurant and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, and the place is set right in front of a breathtaking ocean view. The best part? While your food is being prepared, you can actually jump into the water and relax. Such a unique experience! Highly recommended! 🌊🍴🐟

This was out 3rd visit to West Deck. Views are always absolutely stunning. Great spot to catch a romantic sunset pic. Or just enjoy the views while you dine. The food is so delicious and drinks are spot on. This time Pierce was our waiter and he made our visit to fun. He recommended some dishes that definitely did not disappoint. Every time we’re in Aruba this is a must stop!

I tried to get photos but my family destroyed the food! We decided to get a bunch of appetizers and try everything. The Garlic shrimp 10/10! The wings cooked perfectly. My son got his naked 9.5/10. The mahi-mahi was our least favorite I would say a 6/10. It needed more seasoning. The calamari was cooked very well and no fishy taste.9/10. My son got a full rack of ribs and he did “the fat boy dance” the entire time he ate. He said a 20/10. I had the fried chicken sandwich. It was a little blan at first but the brought us pickled onions and it went from a 5/10 to an 8.5. The coconut shrimp I was told was delicious and a 9/10. I don’t eat coconut. The key lime pie and the Oreo cheesecake 🤯 delicious!!!!
Michael M — Google review
What a delightful place for lunch. We stumbled on this place by chance. There were only two tables occupied when we arrived. Had a meal that was more like a fancy restaurant than tavern food we expected. We watched planes coming in for landing at the nearby airport while we enjoyed a relaxing lunch. Apparently we just beat the rush, because by the time we left, the place had filled up!
Donald M — Google review
West Deck had decent food with an amazing ambiance. The restaurant is directly on the beach. The service was good too. During our visit they had live music. Overall great vibes.
Aninda Z — Google review
The food at The West Deck was really good and tasty. The dishes were creative and full of flavor, with something a little different in every bite. One standout was the pasta salad with beets—absolutely phenomenal. A silent delight that caught me by surprise. Their hot sauce also deserves a shoutout—spicy, bold, and really brought the dishes to life. The location right off the water made the atmosphere amazing. Great views, good food, and a chill island vibe all in one spot.

Came here for lunch when I first came to Aruba. It’s a nice restaurant and right on the beach. The ceviche was so bomb and fresh but the big chunks were huge . The food and customer service was sooo good we’re going back before we leave.

Eduardo's Beach Shack is a popular spot located near Playa Linda Resort, offering a variety of delicious and healthy options such as smoothies, acai and pitaya bowls, salads, and raw treats that change with the seasons. Visitors rave about their signature Pipeline Bowl with pink dragon fruit & chia pudding topped with cacao nibs, goji berry, & peanut butter drizzle.
Came to Eduardo’s multiple times during our stay in Aruba! To their frozen coffees, poke bowls, immunity shots, and so much more. I loved taking the walk over here. Everything is delicious and fresh! I tried both ahi tuna bowl and wakiki bowl which was marinated watermelon and i actually think i loved that one more! Try this place out
Miranda P — Google review
Cute place that I stumbled across while walking along the beach. I decided to get a smoothie, Aruba sensation. With all of the fresh fruit bowls and advertisement I thought it'd be really fruity and tasty but it wasn't. It was as if they used too much ice or water, the smoothie was like flavored ice and I paid $7.
D G — Google review
Decent spot for smoothies and poke bowl. The poke bowl had lots of tuna which is great value. The mango went really well with the tuna. All the ingredients are fresh.
Leslie L — Google review
My smoothie bowl wasn’t good, to be frank. I got Eduardo’s Classic Bowl and it wasn’t even filled all the way. Additionally, there was about 1 cup of Peanut Butter on top, which obscured the flavors of the rest of the bowl. The banana was barely sliced as well. My brother got the Peanut Butter & Nutella Bowl, which he couldn’t even eat because of how thick and overly rich it was. My mom got one of the Poke Bowls, which was actually pretty good. Besides that, the service was fine and I got my food pretty quickly.
Lily N — Google review
If paradise had a smoothie bar, it would look exactly like Eduardo’s. This colorful little shack tucked along Palm Beach radiates nothing but good vibes and tropical energy. From açaí bowls piled high with fresh fruit to protein smoothies and vegan treats, everything tastes as vibrant as it looks. I grabbed a coconut-based bowl topped with banana and strawberries, light, refreshing, and exactly what you want after a beach swim. The staff are warm, the surfboard signs scream “vacay mode,” and the place feels like a postcard come to life.
JetSetExplorer — Google review
I’m disappointed with how Eduardo’s has changed. I’ve been to Aruba in 2022, 2023, and now 2025. I used to LOVE their acai bowl, but now anymore. TLDR the bowl is prettier than it tastes. On this trip, I ordered the Eduardo’s bowl to go, and it was so icy. I could pick up the entire acai layer. It seems like it was premade, frozen, then had toppings added and served to me. I then ordered the large acai bowl. There was barely any acai. It was maybe 1/3 full of acai, probably more 1/4 full. See photo. It’s all fruit. I didn’t order a fruit bowl. I ordered an acai bowl. Acai should be the main ingredient. Also, they put raisins in their granola and because the acai is cold, these become rock hard. I just end up spitting them out once I find them. I likely won’t be back, and I will be looking for a new acai place.
Kathryn G — Google review
Is there anything better than something healthy like an an açaí bowl or smoothies on a beautiful white sandy beach overlooking the ever changing colors of blue water. Prices are also a great value.
Mark E — Google review
I have seen allot about it by my friends on social media so I knew I needed to go when I am back on my island for a vacation! Very cute and nice working people. I was suggested a certain smoothie and it dit now disappoint. I surely recommend it

Charlie's Bar and Restaurant, established by Charles and Marie Brouns, has become a legendary spot on the island for over 70 years. The place is known for its eccentric decor with banners, posters, stickers covering every inch of the walls and ceiling. While many initially visit out of curiosity or to admire the outrageous interior while sipping on a cold beer, they keep coming back for the surprisingly good seafood like Creole squid and 'Shrimps Jumbo and Dumbo.'
This was hands down the best food and experience we had in Aruba. Called ahead to get reservations, they weren't needed for just the 2 of us but they still took my name and when we arrived I just gave my name to the greeter outside and he showed us to our table without even looking at a list. Our waiter rubbed me a little about scaring his reservation person, all in good fun. Charlies has their own way doing things and you should go along for the ride. Our server was excellent. Provided us with the daily specials and the apps they had that day. Beverages were brought quickly. When he noticed he had grabbed a Balashi instead of a Heineken like we ordered he immediately replaced it. The food was excellent and the timing of the dishes was spot on. It wasn't real busy but they seem to run a tight ship so I would expect it to be the same even if packed. We had the tuna and the grouper specials with the added shrimp on top. That with fries, rice and side salads was enough to hold us through to a late light dinner. We would definitely return!
Doug D — Google review
Charlie’s Bar was such a fun and memorable stop on our trip. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with fantastic live steel drum music setting the tone for the night. The food was incredible—especially the coconut shrimp and fresh ceviche, which were both standouts. On top of it all, the name made the experience even more personal and special since my dad’s name is Charlie. It felt like a perfect connection and added an extra layer of meaning to an already unforgettable evening.
Alexandra H — Google review
Our group stopped in for a quick drink after Baby Beach. We knew it would be a quick stop since they close early for private dining. We were so glad we did. The beer was COLD and the atmosphere was fun. The barkeep wasn’t the most joyful person but who is everyday? He was great - like Popeye.
Caroline Z — Google review
Truly a weird experience. Walked in the door to get drinks and we were told that we couldn't be seated. We were directed to the bar and then redirected to a table. 6 of us were put around a 4 seater. The bar tender was very rude. The drinks were cold. The photos on the tables were interesting. The saxophone player was good. We were very excited to visit this landmark, but would truly tell you to not waste your time. We've never had so much of an issue getting a seat or a drink in an empty bar.
Tonya A — Google review
What a find and what a gem. Stumbled upon this institution. Great food, running over in hospitality and friends from the minute you walk in the door. Go. You will be in a piece of Aruba, real Aruba. Been here for 80 plus years. Started by Paulie’s grandparents. Come. You will love it. Great food and great fun.
Staley F — Google review
Friendly service, fun and eclectic atmosphere. It’s always a warm welcome every time we return to our favorite bar in Aruba. It’s basically Jungle Cruise but make it Charlie’s. Freaking love it PS Their hot sauce is amazing 🥵
Johanna A — Google review
Charlie Bar – the heart of S. Nicolas! A cozy local place with a warm island atmosphere and genuinely friendly people. Great spot to stop, relax, and enjoy the real S. Nicola s feeling. Simple, authentic, and full of good vibes. 🌴
Matej S — Google review
If you're in a hurry, don't go here. If you're not willing to listen to the barkeep tell you what's great and fresh on the menu, don't go here. Definitely an iconic bar vibe. I had the barracuda grilled it was sensational. Came with a salad and a big plate of wonderful hand cut fries. I couldn't eat half of it and I'm a big guy. All for less than $30.00 I think. Fun adventure getting there, forget all the "seedy" neighborhood crap you read, like everywhere it is what you make it. Go ten minutes down the road and see wild goats and donkeys by baby beach. Yes the service is not the same as at a resort but for me it's much better!!!! Highest recommendation.

Bar
Bistro de Suikertuin is a charming bistro located in a historic home in downtown Oranjestad, offering a cozy and trendy dining experience. The restaurant opens daily at 7:30 am, serving affordable breakfast specials such as the Aruban, American, Caribbean, and Mexican breakfast. In addition to quality coffee and healthy lunch options, they also provide a full dinner menu featuring dishes like chicken cordon bleu and beef tenderloin with Dutch potatoes.
Suikertuin is a nice establishment. The building is very nice and the bougainvillea trees make it very picturesque. The inside ambiance is quite welcoming as well. The food was good. I enjoyed the tuna item. The loaded nachos were very filling, but good. The drinks were well made. The service was friendly and courteous. I’d say almost every item here (not just the food) was presented in a very aesthetically pleasing manner. You could tell that some thought was put into it.
Aninda Z — Google review
Wanted some local food and beers and found this restaurant about a 1 km walk from where our ship was docked. No obvious tourists inside, and the place was well reviewed. I was not disappointed! Started with a bucket of ice cold Balashi beers, a local favorite, and definitely needed to cool off from the walk as it was incredibly hot and humid outside at midday. There is a very charming garden with tables in the back, but nobody had the guts to sit out there because of the heat, so we got to enjoy some air-conditioning! I asked the server what people really enjoy and continually order at her restaurant, and she suggested the beef carpaccio. It was quite good, fresh, flavorful, with quality beef, and a peppercorn style dressing on top of the rocket (arugula) and greens. The special of a tuna club sandwich sounded interesting, and indeed it was, with a fried egg on top of the tuna. Gave off a very European vibe to me, but Aruba is Dutch, so there you go. With my lunch, I ordered the onion soup, which was different from its French cousin, in that it used a pungent blue cheese, and a large number of herbs. It had just the right amount of onions in there, was not overly salty, and was quite tasty. Served in what appeared to be a candy dish, it was excellent, despite it being very hot outside and seemingly a bad day to order soup. Do yourself a favor and order a bowl! My buddy ordered a pasta Bolognese, which he said was excellent, along with a bowl of the same onion soup for himself. Service was island relaxed, and they checked in on us from time to time. Friendly and knowledgeable, they spoke excellent English, and helped us enjoy the great meal.

While walking through Downtown Oranjestad, my wife and I were told that this place had the best Apple Pie. My wife and I decided to go here for dinner that evening. The restaurant has a very cozy Dutch vibe, it really transports you there! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful while looking over the menu. My wife and I enjoyed our fish and Chicken entrees that we ordered. The food was seasoned and cooked extremely well. Now for the part that you're waiting for, the Dutch Apple Pie was excellent! We've never had an "authentic" Dutch pie. In the US our apple pies are "wet" and I didn't think there was another way to make Apple pie 😂. Well this apple pie did not have much moisture but was still extremely flavorful, had great texture, and created a wonderful experience in the mouth. We had a really good time at this restaurant, we highly recommend it! Especially if you like a good apple pie for dessert.

Lovely spot with great food – would recommend! I’ve eaten at De Suikertuin twice now and both times were really good. First of all, the setting is great – their garden is super peaceful, with birds chirping in the background. A very calm and welcoming place to start your evening. Service is thoughtful from the start – they ask about allergies right away, and even the amuse was adjusted for me (a small pumpkin soup and a little bite – a nice touch). I’ve had the shrimp ravioli and the fried prawns with vegetables – both very tasty. The chocolate lava cake is definitely worth saving room for! Overall, I’ve had really good experiences here: friendly staff, high-quality food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Only thing to note is that the food can take a while to arrive, but it’s worth the wait.

City Garden Bistro de Suikertuin is the calm in the midst of our daily busy lives. The settling is beautiful. Parking is free or on the street. We arrived as a party of seven. An email to make a reservation was easily arranged and responded to. No left overs were observed from our group of 3 generations. Popular dishes such as the Filet Americain Baguette with beef tartare was sold out. Ingredients looked very fresh. The Dutch Apple pie and Jardin au Chocolat were beautifully composed and demolished. We were told all the desserts are made in house. I would have lingered longer but we had to leave Aruba. A very enjoyable meal for all in our group.
Mona L — Google review
This restaurants has a warm, intimate and chill ambiance. It’s a 100 year old renovated home, made of concrete, seashells, and sandstone, which adds to homey vibe. On top of that the food is delicious. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by Gidi, who did a wonderful job in explaining the menu and specials for the evening, while providing his favorites and recommendations. As the night progressed I met the bartender Pari, she makes flavorful and well balanced drinks. Pari & Gidi gave awesome insight if Aruba and things to do and explore while on the island. Check this place out while you’re in Aruba and enjoy the cultural exchange!!

Caribbean restaurant
Nestled in the heart of the San Nicolas Art Walk, O'Niel Caribbean Kitchen is a cozy and inviting restaurant that offers an authentic taste of Jamaican cuisine. While specializing in Jamaican classics like ackee with saltfish and oxtail with beans, the menu also features local Aruban favorites such as goat stew and fresh seafood, along with options for vegetarians and vegans. Visitors can look forward to special events featuring live music or karaoke.
Every dish we tried was bursting with rich, authentic Caribbean flavour. The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat, the oxtail was tender and full of depth, and the plantains were caramelized to perfection—crispy on the edges and soft inside. You can really taste the love and tradition in every bite. If you’re in Aruba and craving soul-satisfying Caribbean food, this place is an absolute must. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Definitely skimped on the oxtails. 5 bones with minimal meat on them. They even skimp on the gravy like sheeesh. No complaints on the flavors and taste. The garlic conch was definitely one of a kind! Both plates were fire I just feel like we should’ve got more meat for the price we paid for the oxtails. That’s the only reason why I didn’t give a 5 star. Also no one greeted us when we walked in and wasn’t confused on whether we get seated or seat ourselves but the server Jenny was super nice! I’d definitely try them again!

Baby!!! I should’ve known I was in for a treat from the Piña Colada; blended to perfection and pleasantly delicious! I ordered the Coconut Shrimp and Caribbean Island Roasted Chicken, thinking I’d have leftovers for the next day and boy, was I wrong! The coconut shrimp didn’t stand a chance, and the chicken… OMG!!! I don’t think I’ve ever cleaned a bone so well in my life! Food, drinks, and vibe: 10/10. Highly recommend!

Oneil’s is a true Caribbean gem! The oxtail with plantains was tender, flavorful, and full of that authentic island taste. The fresh lemonade was perfectly refreshing, and the prices were very fair for the quality and portion size. Highly recommend for anyone exploring local eats and hidden gems on the island! #ArubaEats #CaribbeanFood #OneilsAruba #IslandVibes #TravelAndTaste

I try to eat native food when I'm on vacation and was going to skip this place due to having tons of Jamaican cuisine establishments in my area but I'm glad I didn't. To make matters worse, I returned the next day after trying their food due to how good it was. Oxtail, goat meat, rice and peas...matter of fact everything I've tried was very good and flavorful. May be the best Jamaican food I've had and I've tried plenty of locations to include the island of Jamaica 🇯🇲. Only thing they're missing are Jamaican patties. Highly recommended.

THE SERVICE: Friendly and hospitable staff providing Island time service. Although we were immediately seated, it took a noticeable amount of time to order and receive our beverages and food. This wasn’t problematic for us because we weren’t in a rush; I’m making note of this in the event someone is seeking a quick bite between excursions. THE FOOD: Restaurants rarely live up to their slogans, but everything we ordered was good to the last bite! The food was so good we rearranged our schedule for a return trip during our vacation. For appetizers we had french fries, festival, jerk chicken wings, saltfish fritters, and sweet plantains. Everything came out hot and fresh. Best tasting festival I’ve ever had, and the jerk chicken was seasoned to the bone. The fritters fries, and plantains were prepared as expected and delivered on taste. Dinner entrees were served with rice, mashed potatoes, plantains, and salad. We ordered the BBQ chicken, fried red snapper, curry shrimp, and jerk pork. I had the jerk pork which was well marinated delivering on taste with the desired smoky back notes- mild in spice. The jerk sauce was phenomenal and necessary because the meat was well done. The side dishes were very good, but the serving of mashed potatoes with rice was an interesting pairing- I missed the traditional steamed veggies. My tablemates enjoyed their entrees commenting on the flavor profile. We all appreciated the freshness of the salad which was perfectly dressed. THE VALUE: Delicious food at an affordable price in a welcoming atmosphere. The 35-40 minute drive from our resort was well worth it.

While on the Carnival Valencia, we decided to get some authentic Caribbean food suggested by Edmond Tour director. Edison our driver, we met was amazing when he said the other side of the island he didn’t mean across the island but down the coast. The food was amazing. Well worth the 30-45 minute cab ride down the island.
David W — Google review
The food was horrible. Before we ordered our food we asked to see a drink menu. The waitress brought our food, and we had to remind her about the drink menu, which she then brought but never came back to get our drink order. I went to the bar myself and was told to go ask someone outside. I asked the waiter if I could order a drink with him. He took the drink order but never came back with the drinks. I asked yet another person who finally took pity on us and brought our drinks. We never again saw our original waitress. Now let's get to the horrible oxtails. I eat oxtails on a regular basis, I cook them myself as well as eat at local restaurants. Oxtail go from large pieces to small pieces as the tail starts large and gets smaller at the tip. Every piece of oxtail I had came from the small end, they were tough and barely seasoned. They served it with rice, mashed potatoes, salad and plantains. I have NEVER had oxtails served without cabbage and definitely not with mashed potatoes. I don't not recommend this place for anyone that knows what oxtail are supposed to taste like. The service was horrible as well.

Nestled in a quiet downtown street, Aruba Experience Cafe - Patisserie is housed in a renovated old Aruban "cunucu" villa, exuding Dutch Caribbean charm. The cafe offers freshly baked delicacies and excellent barista-brewed coffee. With its beautiful decor featuring rattan furniture and tropical foliage, the cafe is a favorite brunch spot in Oranjestad.
This was a beautiful local place to enjoy the best authenticity Aruba has to offer! The atmosphere when you walk in is unexpected! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and had zero wait time to be seated. The service was better than most high end restaurants. We started off with two espresso’s and a Bellini mimosa that was super refreshing. We then tried two yuca arepas - one filled with pernil and cheese and the other with egg/ham/cheese - chefs kiss muaaah! We then ordered the I Am Loyal dish with a side of black beans and it was delicious. 8/10 for me, the eggs where just a little bit over cooked for my liking but it was flavorful! We ended the experience with a mint/ginger tea and it was so good! Highly recommend this place to anyone! We will be back for the croissants 🥐 tomorrow!!

Aruba Experience Café - Pâtisserie is an absolute gem! The environment and service were both outstanding — warm, welcoming, and full of charm. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it easy to find the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the island breeze. We tried a few of their drinks, and they were excellent — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They also have a tempting menu of food items, but we had already eaten dinner, so we’ll definitely be back to try more next time. From the outside, the café looks pretty unassuming, but once you step inside, it’s a whole different experience — cozy, stylish, and full of character. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Oranjestad!

This spot feels like a hidden gem straight out of a travel magazine. Set inside a restored historic building with stone walls and vintage décor, Aruba Experience Café blends local charm with modern flair. We came for breakfast and loved every bite, the omelet was packed with flavor, the arepas were perfectly crispy, and the fresh cheese and plantains tied it all together. It’s the kind of place you could hang out for hour sipping coffee, soaking in the atmosphere, and feeling like you’re part of old Aruba.

We went here after it was recommended by our taxi driver. It did not disappoint! I literally said “wow!” after my first bite. The food was delicious, authentic and came out pretty quick. It’s off the beaten path but totally worth the quick walk off the main strip. The atmosphere is also very well decorated, clean and has the Aruba vibe. I’ll be back!

Wilhelmina Restaurant is a recent addition to Aruba's dining scene, quickly becoming a popular spot in Oranjestad. Named after the beloved Dutch Queen Wilhelmina, the restaurant pays homage to her global influence by offering an internationally inspired menu featuring ingredients from around the world. Each dish on the menu is marked with a small flag, showcasing the diverse culinary offerings that include French bouillabaisse and Peking duck.
This was absolutely amazing from start to finish. My wife and I cant stop raving about this place. Service from the moment we walked in the door to exiting was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and appropriate! Juan was great and he had others helping our table with everything from extra butter and bread which is very good. Ceviche was one of the best I've had in 5 different places in Aruba. We shared the rack of lamb and short rib dishes as we couldn't decide and both we very good. The soup of the day (celery based) was delicious. The drinks were well made. Photos show the dishes and we even show our clean plates except for the bones lol! The palm trees and comfortable out side seating was very nice and with the tasteful lighting made this one of the best places. You will spend some money though this was definitely worth every dollar

Wilhelmina is a must-visit in Aruba! From the complimentary sampler to the amazing dinner and desserts, everything was flawless. The garden setting is beautiful, the service is top-notch, and every dish was full of flavor and care. Don’t miss the lemon tart — it’s the perfect finish to an unforgettable meal.

Great ambiance, beautiful open garden seating. Very professional, polite, pleasant and efficient staff. Good drinks. Started the dinner with complementary chef special - shot of soup and a fish ball - both excellent! Dinner excellent - beautiful presentation. My husband had the Wilhelmina Ravoli appitizer on the recommendation of the waitress and loved it! For dinner, I have the #2 fish special, my husband had the #3 fish special, and my friend had the lamb. Wilhelmina cheesecake, limoncello ice cream, amd a Key Lime Martini for dessert. Highly recommend this place!
Debbie H — Google review
This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Aruba. The food was unreal — we started with the ceviche and the short rib ravioli, followed by the short rib entrée, and finished with the crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was exceptional. The atmosphere and dining space were top-notch. Hands down the best meal we had in Aruba.
Bailee — Google review
AMAZING food!! We ordered the ceviche and Mediterranean salad. I don’t usually order salad for an app but it was worth it. Their food is so authentic and well prepared. I would definitely order those again. The ceviche was very light and refreshing. We also ordered the garlic shrimp pasta and the Indonesian pork. My favorite was the Indonesian pork with noodles because the sauce was unforgettable (sorry the picture is a little blurry). Highly recommend this restaurant!! Sit inside if you don’t like bugs because at night there might be little flies around the table since the outside seating is in a beautiful tropical type atmosphere.

This was my favorite restaurant in Aruba during my recent trip. The service was really great and the food is amazing. I am still thinking about the Simply Truffle pasta and Wilhelmina’s Ravioli. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is truly beautiful. I cannot wait to go back one day! Please open up a location in Turks and Caicos!
Anita B — Google review
This was our second visit to Wilhelmina on 2 separate trips. Once again, it did not disappoint. They greet you with a little snack to say hi and let the yumminess begin. The Wilhelminas raviolis are still as I remember it, yummy. The ceviche here is hands down the best. Although, Lima Bistro has killer ceviche as well. Both are unique and different from one another. We had the catch of the day, served 3 different ways, another had the braised short ribs that were killer. Another in our group is a vegetarian and I think the had the watermelon something and she fell in love with it. Sometimes vegetarians are hard to please, or there's not much options. At Wilhelmina you can't go wrong. Thanks again and we will certainly return.

Marina Pirata Restaurant is a must-visit in Savaneta, Aruba, offering a delightful dining experience with over 28 years of serving fresh seafood and a variety of international and Caribbean dishes. Situated near the port, this family-owned restaurant provides a great selection of food in a comfortable Aruban ambiance. It's highly recommended for those seeking an authentic seafood restaurant away from the touristy areas.
Marina Piarata is a hidden gem in Savaneta, near the water. Great place for fish & seafood and dinner on the dock by the water. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the view and the fish show. Excellent service to boot. Recommended!

Our party of four all enjoyed eating dinner here. Filet and lobster, shrimp, and fish were all terrific meals. After dark the fish are very entertaining to watch in the clear water. Be sure to catch a beautiful sunset here as well.
Randy S — Google review
We love this out of the regular tourist area location. We ate here on 9/18 for our anniversary and had a truly wonderful experience. The two servers that came to our table were excellent throughout the entire time we ate. My wife ordered the lobster tail special and I ordered the filet mignon, fish and shrimp. Both were exceptional and included several sides that were very well prepared. They brough out a brownie dessert with a sparkler candle for our anniversary which was a great touch, and unexpected. We had a reservation at 6pm and were seated immediately right on the waters edge. We watched the sunset and got stunning photos during the hour plus we were there. We had fishy friends in the water right next to us which also enhanced the experience. I would definitely eat at Mirina Pirata on a future visit to Aruba.

It is never busy and it makes no sense, it’s the best restaurant on the island. Coolest atmosphere by far, best fish by a LANDSLIDE. Amazing service, Sheila is so sweet and kind, she makes you feel like family. We have eaten at 32 restaurants on the island including the most popular (flying fishbone, screaming eagle, barefoot, bohemian, etc) and this one wins. Truly a hidden gem

Definitely of the beaten path here in Aruba, but worth the trek. Cute place right on the water. Dinner was fabulous, we both had Mahi Mahi cooked in different ways. The atmosphere was spectacular as were the views. It's fun to watch the fish swim up by the pier while eating. Dinner and a show. Absolutely recommend. checking it out, we had a very nice evening.

Marina Pirata – Absolutely Outstanding! 🌅 What an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff here are super friendly, attentive, and incredibly polite — they make you feel like a valued guest, not just a customer. The setting is truly magical — a beautiful waterfront view where you can watch the fish swimming right beneath your table. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a relaxing evening with friends. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked ,especially the seafood, which was some of the best we’ve had on the island. You can really taste the quality
Артем П — Google review
A really tasty enjoyable meal- right on the water! The seafood was great and the drinks were tasty and didn’t feel watered down. you can sit right I. The water and see all the fish as you dine. The service was fantastic. The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is because there were some mosquitos here. The staff provided us with bug spray, all the same not the most appetizing thing to be covering yourself with before a meal.
Tayler T — Google review
We were very early for our reservation (5:45 for 6:30. my bad) but they gladly seated us at a great tale right on the water. The waitress (Sheila i think) could not have been sweeter and took great care of us. Unfortunately a storm rolled in during dinner and we had to move under cover but still on the water. For an app we had calamari that was ok, though the breading did not have much flavor. For entrees we had the Chefs special which was fish and shrimp in creole sauce with cheese. My wife removed the cheese and loved the rest of the dish. I had the whole fried red snapper. I thought the presentation was great and Sheila helped with the spine removal. The fish was tasty and tender, Sheila brought a pickled onion hot sauce and it really made the dish. We enjoyed all the sides that came with the entrees as well. The ambiance and service were excellent, I can only imagine taking in a sunset.

White Modern Cuisine is a top choice for fine dining in Aruba, located in the Gold Coast Development. The restaurant offers a tantalizing menu with vegetarian and gluten-free options. The all-white space with foldaway walls provides an elegant ambiance for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Third day in Aruba and I'm sad to say I don't think I'll find a better restaurant than this one! Service was excellent, got to see a beautiful sunset, and all the food was superb!!! Got the chicken bao for appetizer as well as 50 shades of roses and rising Phoenix drinks which were both strong but sweet and delicious. The steak basket was phenomenal (the peanut sauce was to die for) and my spouse loved the pork chop! Beyond this, just look below at the "in love with chocolate dessert." Best dessert I have had in a very very long time, if not ever! 5 different kinds of chocolate all spectacular. I can't say enough about how good this place was. Would definitely come back. Don't listen to the other reviewer either, sitting indoors was the perfect temperature and you can still see picturesque views of the island and sunset.

The steak basket was the best dish, the Caribbean srimp was under cooked and didn't have so much flavor, the tomahawk was good, and my lamb was good but I order it Medium rare and got it med well.. They have great opcions of virgen cocktails, and got nice Negroni for my self. Alejandra our waitress had good knowledge about their menu, good service.

Absolutely fantastic.. the food, service, and ambiance of this restaurant were great. The kitchen staff take great care to put together wonderful food. I had the corn chowder, a coconut curry lamb shank, and a delicious pina colada dessert. All of it was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. As the other review mentioned this restaurant seems to be a hidden gem, it is easily walkable from most of the high rise hotels. If you are looking for a quality meal come give this a try.

We were excited to try this restaurant as we had gone to a Peruvian restaurant in the same group which we loved. However we were sadly disappointed in the service at White. Our reservation was for 8. We sat down right away however it took until 8:20 to get our wine and water (after asking three times for water). Myself and my husband finished our bottle of wine before our entrees arrived because they didn’t come out until 9:45. The food was good but certainly not an exceptional meal. Mahi mahi was over cooked. White will certainly not be remaining on the list to go-to places while on the island.
Jessica S — Google review
If I could rate this as zero I would. The food was horrendous- in both appearance and taste. Squeeze cheese on the “nacho” bowl. No mango or papaya in the ceviche that’s described it as having both mango and papaya. The ceviche was not fresh - my father was afraid to eat it. Everything was lousy - including management. Discussed our concerns. No interest in making it right. The whole family went hungry for lunch. Don’t waste time or money your vacation traveling to this destination. We are disappointed we did. The only modern thing about this restaurant is the decor.

Nestled on the picturesque Palm Beach, Bugaloe Beach Bar & Grill is a delightful overwater dining destination that perfectly captures the essence of Aruba. Located between the Riu Palace and Hilton resorts, this vibrant eatery offers a diverse menu featuring everything from juicy burgers and zesty quesadillas to fresh Mahi Mahi and succulent garlic shrimp.
Just arrived at our hotel in Aruba and looked for an easy in and out restaurant. Hotel staff took us by golf cart to Palm Beach and recommended Bugaloe. The atmosphere was perfect, on the pier, great view, easy to find a table, staff were attentive. We felt very comfortable, bathing suits or travel attire all are welcome, our food and drinks were on mark. I do recommend that you try the local brew. We had the burger cooked to order and the grilled grouper salad. Likely will visit again while we are on the beach.

The place is spacious and cool, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. However, the food was just okay—nothing special—and quite pricey for the small portions. One frustrating part was waiting 15 minutes just to get the check. Also, we weren’t informed that the sparkling water would cost $9, which felt pretty insane. Overall, nice atmosphere, but the value and service left a lot to be desired.

We stopped by on our first night in Aruba. We were super excited based on the review. We didn’t have reservations and were promptly seated outdoors. It was a warm night but not unbearable. Service was good, all the waiters were friendly and professional. However, it seemed like they have been trained to exploit guests to spend as much money. When we were seated, we were only given two options for water - still and sparkling. When that finished, she asked if we wanted tap water. I chuckled to hubby that why wasn’t tap mentioned initially. Constantly trying to persuade you….. “anything else I can help you prepare” “should I put in the order of two spring rolls for you?” “Or maybe you want the buns”? I ordered the Azia chicken - it came out cool and didn’t taste fresh. The hubs thought it was fried pork, lol. His Miso cod, was just okay. The rice was just okay as well. Maybe we should have ordered sushi. I don’t know. Nothing we got “whoaed” us. Hubby got the lychee martini and said he liked it! So there you go. Overall, atmosphere was good, service was good, food was okay.

My family recently visited Aruba to celebrate a milestone birthday and wanted to host a dinner party for about 30 guests. I was responsible for finding an affordable yet memorable spot, and out of the three options, we chose Azia—a decision we couldn’t have been happier with. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The food was delicious, the service phenomenal, and the atmosphere absolutely perfect for our celebration. Our servers—Jesus, Zyon, and Albert—were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The manager, Strawberry, also checked in frequently to ensure our evening was flawless. We could not have chosen a better place to celebrate. I highly recommend Azia and look forward to returning on our next trip to Aruba.

Very friendly and local feeling. The signature dishes were surprising but VERY good. The rest is not only fried stuff but also nicely prepared home kitchen and soulfood. The prices are on American level but no blame here since the whole island is like that and it is local owned which I like to support. Absolute must-go. Watch out for opening times since they early in the evening.

The food was amazing. I highly recommend the lamb with the mushroom sauce and the chicken curry which won the best chicken curry award in Aruba. It was fabulous. Wait staff was amazing and there were only a few people there at the time. Great local food. Great local vibes on the way to baby Beach.

It’s a little bit far from the most of the resorts and famous beaches (i.e, eagle beach, palm beach), but is definitely worth visiting. One recommendation for the owner is to start serving tap water. It was the only place where we had to pay for water on the island, which is ridiculous. We got chicken soup, the lamb rack and curry oxtails. I was not fan of the soup, but the gravy sauce on the lamb was very delicious.

Of all the food Ive eaten in Aruba. This is hands down the best. The food was amazing. I had chicken soup, passion fruit juice and curry goat roti. Even greater than the food was the service. The staff here is so kind and felt like family by the end of our trip. We mentioned it was an anniversary trip and they surprised us with a celebration the next evening! This was by far the best thing about our trip to Aruba. We had a different dish every visit and it was tremendous each time. Personal favorites were the beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce, shrimp/chicken with curry and roti, and fried chicken. Top it off with a Pina Colada. Damn, we miss eating here.

There’s no way this place is a 4.7! 3.1 is more realistic. Typical non friendly servers “which is becoming a trend everywhere in Aruba it seems. Back to the food partially stale roll and very average bratwurst and cheap condiments to top it off. Not worth stopping at this place.

Que Pasa is a quintessential Aruban restaurant with an eclectic international menu and cozy atmosphere. The lunch and dinner menus are extensive and there's something for everyone on the lengthy list of options. Brunches are popular, especially given the wide range of choices available, from healthy salads to decadent omelets to popular sushi appetizers. Prices are reasonable for all you can eat.
One of our friends found this spot, and we went for unlimited mimosas and brunch. Let me tell you, the portions are small, but you get to order for over four hours, and it was amazing. Every single thing on the menu was delicious. They also had vegetarian options. We ate and drank so much, and we were very happy. It was an amazing experience. Five stars all the way around!

Wow! 😁 Brunch special on Sundays is such a treat. You get to try their best dishes unlimited, with mimosas optional as well! Luis and his fellow staff were great, personable and even the kids gave it a 9.9 out of 10! My fav was the barracuda and the pork loin! Keep up the good work! 👍👍

Que pasa is one of those timeless restaurants; the food is always good. The prices generally are reasonable and on top of that they have special days, like All you can eat sushi (wednesday). Service is also very attentive. We went there during the yearly Restaurant Week when they feature a three course menu for about $40.00, great deal. Excellent experience. This is a must visit place place.

Love this place. Such a cozy and casual experience. The food is fresh and very tasty. Cocktails can be made into mocktails instead. Sushi selection is great (i recommend the temptation roll with fried plantain on top). Also had the ceviche as appetizer.

Que Pasa in Aruba was truly outstanding! The service was absolutely impeccable — attentive, friendly, and professional — and the food was nothing short of fantastic. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One small tip: double-check the price of wine before ordering. Since everything is imported to the island, wine prices are higher than you might expect. That said, even knowing that, Que Pasa is completely worth it. Out of all the places we dined during our trip, this was the only one we agreed we would gladly splurge on again. Excellent experience from start to finish — highly recommend!
Jaimie L — Google review
This place was everything we hoped the reviews said it was. We did the bottomless brunch on Saturday ($38/pp) with the bottomless mimosas ($12/pp). The grouper was phenomenal. We also liked the pork, chicken and waffles, and the salmon eggs Benedict the best. But it was all great, and we are usually very, very picky on who we rank well (we can usually cook better at home). Recommend attending brunch on Saturday, if you want less of a crowd (we were by ourselves for 1.5 hours). Sunday is “much more hectic”.
Antanina L — Google review
Que Pasa is a great spot for Sunday brunch! The prices were good, and the menu had a fantastic variety of options. I highly recommend the Belgian waffle with Nutella—it was absolutely delicious! The unlimited mimosas were flowing nicely, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. I’d definitely come back again!

This place is a gem! We went for my birthday dinner and got apps: chicken dumplings (ridiculously good) and the beet and goat cheese app--both so good! For entrees we had the grouper and the flank steak--easily one of the best meals we had on the island. Our server (I'm so sorry I forgot her name) was awesome and the staff came out and sang happy birthday and even gave me a gift. That was the icing in the cake. Can't wait to go back!

Nestled near the Barcelo resort, Bohemian Bar & Restaurant is a trendy and relaxed tropical haven featuring tiki-style huts and bohemian retreats. The menu showcases a fusion of French and global cuisine with occasional Caribbean twists, offering an array of options from raclette to paella, including creative vegetarian and vegan choices. Weekdays offer a soothing ambiance with live music, while Fridays and Saturdays transform into electro-lounge dance parties.
The staff at Bohemian were incredibly accommodating, personable, and friendly, which made the experience even more special. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious—every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. They also went above and beyond to celebrate a birthday at our table, bringing out a dessert topped with festive sparkler-style fireworks that made the night unforgettable. Truly a wonderful dining experience—I highly recommend it!

Went to this place for dinner during my stay in Aruba. The place got a decent vibe and atmosphere. I ordered their lobster pasta and lamb shank. The food was served at good temperature. Taste was decent. The lamb meat was tinder and juicy but has some from improvement.

My waiter was amazing! The food and drinks were delicious. My one year old absolutely loved the bread that he ate it all. I would definitely come again!

Amazing, amazing! Came here on a whim and it was totally worth it. Service was great, we made it in time for happy hour which is 5-7 and drinks were $7 with a decent selection. We had 5 different drinks. Food was also really delicious, we had the wagyu carpaccio, tuna tartare and lobster bisque for appetizers. For mains we had the steak tartare and the Gambas. I highly recommend the Gambas au Cognac which is a shrimp dish with rice pilaf. This place is fantastic. If you're not uptight about a cat running around and a shaky table (which they fixed for us when I brought it to their attention) you gotta eat here!

I was grumbling walking in, wanting initially to eat in an Italian restaurant, but I left gleefully gratified, sated with a satisfying meal. The entrance takes you into another world, though integrated very much into the surroundings of the vibrant Aruba scene. The lighting is dim and you feel as if you’re eating in a hideaway. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, with all the beginning parts of the dining experience — bread, water, drinks, etc, completely thoughtfully. Your waiter will not only repeat your order, he or she may also tell you what to expect in terms of the degree of spice, what sort of lobster will be served, the marinations, and the types of side dishes to expect. Our waiter also checked in with us, as did a manager or two. The meal moved along expeditiously, but it wasn’t rushed. It was just the right tempo. We had the meat and cheese boards combined — a special request that was easily accommodated. I loved the Mahi kebab. It was bountiful, flavored amazingly with a zesty but not too spicy ratatouille sauce. Get it! The apple crisp is an apple crisp without the fillers — flat, crispy, and flavorful, containing every aspect of an hearty apple tart though famous for its thinness, presented in a round shape for several to share. The bill is delivered to you just as the meal was: in a unique way. It arrives in a book — literally a book — leaving an impression on you, just as the rest of the dining experience.
Anthony C — Google review
This is easily the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. It was like the person that made the menu catered to exactly what my husband and I wanted to eat. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection, served beautifully, with exceptional service. The owner came by our table and was really nice and personable. You can tell he has passion for this place. The octopus is a MUST. It is cooked perfectly, so tender, and with the most delicious sauce. I had a paella and my husband had short rib. They were recommended by the staff. Both were excellent. Lots of options for seafood or meats, whatever you want to eat. The profiteroles were a perfect dessert to share. This is place is going to be really hard to beat. If you’re the island, don’t hesitate and go straight here for dinner.

Bohemian in Aruba is an absolute gem! From the moment you step into its lush, garden-like setting, you feel transported into a relaxed, chic paradise. The atmosphere is vibrant yet intimate — perfect for a romantic dinner or a fun night out with friends. Yes there is a house cat that roams around, doesn't bother anyone, and is cute. And I don't even like cats! The food is simply outstanding — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish (gambas cognac, lobster bisque, steak tartar) we tried was delicious, and the cocktails were top-notch, crafted with creativity and flair. They have a $7 happy hour drink menu and its from 5-7pm! The service was just as impressive — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly without being overbearing. Bohemian is definitely one of the best dining experiences in Aruba — a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates great food, ambiance, and service!

We had an amazing meal! The octopus was perfectly tender and full of flavor — one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Taste My Aruba is a charming restaurant located in a beautifully restored 100-year-old heritage house in downtown Oranjestad. The eatery, owned by the convivial Nathaly de Mey and her nephew, chef Derwin Tromp, prides itself on serving locally sourced fare, particularly fresh fish and local lobster.
Food was great. I had the Red Snapper Filet. Calm & relaxing atmosphere and to top it all off our waiter Mr. Glenn Kelly was just over the top amazing! We'll return here when we come back to Aruba for sure.

We tried Taste My Aruba for the first time last night. We experienced fabulous service & delicious food. We ordered three different dishes, but our favorite was the Lobster Pasta. We also enjoyed a slice of carrot cake to finish our meal. Before leaving, we made reservations to come the last night of our trip because this was our favorite restaurant on our trip! I would highly recommend making a reservation!

What an amazing find for our last night in Aruba. The service was amazing Glen was attentive and accommodating, the chef was one of the best I’ve ever seen. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The food was 10 out of 10. We had a group of 10 and every single meal was amazing.

Nice setting and friendly service, but not worth the price Went to Taste My Aruba with two friends. The staff was friendly and we were helped right away, which was a good start. We shared a few appetizers that were actually really tasty – no complaints there. The main course, however, was a bit of a letdown. I had the lobster with black pasta – the most expensive dish on the menu – but the lobster was a bit dry and lacked flavor. One of my friends had the daily special and was also only mildly enthusiastic about it. The restaurant has a cute little courtyard and plenty of indoor seating as well, which gives it a nice atmosphere. Overall, it was a decent experience, but for the price, I don’t think it quite delivered.

The BEST meal we had in Aruba!! Ambience was incredible, staff was super attentive and friendly, and food was the best meal we had our whole trip. As someone who has a gluten allergy it can be hard to find delicious meals but there were multiple gf options as well! Can not recommend enough, if you are in Aruba you HAVE TO come here!

The atmosphere and ambiance is outstanding. The food was given a four-star rating versus a five-star rating because they were missing several key dishes on the menu that we specifically wanted.

Incredible place in the heart of Oranjestad! Elevated local cuisine served in a beautiful traditional house with an even more beautiful garden where they grow their own herbs they use in drinks. Fantastic staff and an overall incredible experience. A must go during every visit to Aruba.

My sister-n-law called and reserved a table for 10. We arrived and saw through the opened doors a beautiful space with a table set for 10, above it a beautiful chandelier and ceiling fan, and Latin music playing at just the right volume to enjoy it without it interfering with conversation. Glen kept our water glasses full and the drinks (alcoholic) flowing. The food, all 10 dishes, (cooked by ONE chef) was served at the same time, hot and exactly how we ordered it. We gave the chef and staff a standing ovation!!!!!! They were so appreciative. Don’t visit Oranjestad without visiting this gem!!!

On The Rocks Cafe is a popular spot in downtown Oranjestad on Adriaan Lacle Blvd, offering a diverse menu of shareable snacks, wings, burgers, wraps, pinchos, salads and more for lunch and dinner. Visitors rave about the delicious burgers like the egg-topped bacon cheeseburger and the funchi fries. The cafe also offers a great selection of beers and vegetarian options. Guests can enjoy live music from local bands while dining with family or friends.
We came to On the Rocks the first night of our vacation based on a recommendation from my cousin who is a local. We sat inside, it was clean and the ac was cool. We ordered the Magic Mushroom Burger, OTR Burger, Wild Child Burger, and a Saco, plus sides of patatas bravas, funchi fries, and truffle fries (since the burgers don’t come with sides). The burgers were all delicious—fresh, flavorful, and not typical frozen patties. They are a little on the smaller side, but they were very satisfying. I didn’t even get a picture of them because we were too hungry to wait! The real standout was the Saco. It came packed with food—deep-fried ribs, chicken, plantains, potatoes, and a Johnny cake—all served with a garlicky mayo for dipping. The ribs especially were full of flavor, like they’d been marinated before frying. The funchi fries were perfectly crispy. The patatas bravas were a favorite—the sauce was so good we ended up dipping everything in it. The only miss of the meal was the truffle fries. The truffle flavor was way too overpowering—the whole table stunk of it which grossed us out. Price-wise, it’s decent. The burgers are around $15–16, but since they don’t come with sides, you’ll probably want to order one (most are $6+). That said, the portion sizes for the sides are generous and easily shareable between two people. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the location is convenient. Overall, it was a great first-night meal, and I’d definitely go back.

We’ve hit on the rocks 2 nights in a row. First night was for the hamburgers (which were delicious), but what brought us back the next night was our server Zion. The second visit I had the lobster Mac and lobster roll! Both were fantastic! If you do decide to try this place, ask to sit in Zions section! He is knowledgeable, kind, attentive and just made the dining experience pleasant. Cheers Zion!

This was a spur of the moment choice. We originally planned to eat at Sexy Shrimp but they sold out for the day so we walked the area to see what other options we had. Stumbled upon On the Rocks Craft Kitchen and couldn't have been happier with the choice. We both had burgers but first shared a caesar salad with house made croutons...so yummy!! My husband was feeling munchy (lol) so we also had Sticky Bourbon Ribs and fries 🤦🏽‍♀️. All the way around very happy with our food and made for such yummy leftovers the next day too! (Thank heavens for the hotels with fridges & microwaves in room)

I’ve been in Aruba for a week and this is hands down the best dining experience I’ve had, and there have been many good ones! Sophie was our server, and she was amazing with my wife and myself, so sweet and helpful with what was good on the menu! Her great service was honestly the topic of our conversation a few times. I had the Monopoly wings which were a truffle sensation, and my wife had the chicken sate, and I tried it too and it was incredible. We ended the night with their mocha espresso martini which Sophie recommended, and it brought a delicious espresso martini to a whole different level, the drink was fantastic and topped with a thick delicious cream and chocolate shavings. We would recommend this place as a 10/10 while staying in Aruba!!

Great burgers!! My husband loved the wings too! Just be mindful that they will charge you $4 additional to swap to a Beyond Burger patty (even though it doesn’t say it anywhere on the menu)!

Honestly one of the best smash burgers I've ever tasted and I never thought that would happen out of the states. Johnny Cake Bites were out of this world! Perfect for 2 to share. Had the Paradise Smash and Wild Child burgers and they were cooked perfectly and the buns def homemade!

Welcome to The Kitchen Aruba, a vibrant culinary hotspot that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This charming eatery boasts modern stainless steel appliances and elegant granite countertops, creating a stylish atmosphere perfect for enjoying delightful meals with friends. With its inviting banquet area featuring mid-century seating and a long wooden table, it’s the ideal setting for leisurely lunches or brunch gatherings. The Kitchen is all about fresh ingredients and exceptional flavors, thanks to its dedicated culinary team and wood-fired grill.
Most important fact to know that it is only open at lunch time 11am to 3pm. The place is on the southern coast, but is in a bit of run down area behind a gymnasium. I went here just after opening at 11 am. They were still cooking dishes as I get seated, but they were finished with the buffet at 1130. Everything looks to be fresh made. The salad bar selections overall were impressive. I particularly loved the Peruvian style ceviche and the grilled tenderloin. Price for the food is by pound. I estimated the food itself costs about 20ish US dollars a pound as I got a very nice mango drink to go with it (real mango puree) I highly recommend going here for the variety and the quality of the food here, just be selective in what you choose here.
Philip Q — Google review
good food and has been like that for years but has gotten more expensive year by year to this point its overpriced... great food but there are many options in aruba that give you a lot more for your money... beware of when you fill your plate because the price can end up almost being 100 florin a plate
Style A — Google review
Very nice place with a lot of great, healthy options. I loved the salad bar, the fish stew and all the sauces and dressings. It seems like most of it is homemade. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are good for aruba, since everything seems very expensive here. For all these (expensive) healthy options, I think its a great price value you get there...

We sorry to disappointed every one with this restaurant. We use to go there and pay between the 11 a d 15$. Last week we went again and for our surprise they charge us for almost the same quantity of food 23$ only food (and cold). Did not eat. We left and will never go back. For that amount we prefer to go to a normal restaurant.

Indo Restaurant: Surinamese & Indonesian is a must-visit spot on the island of Aruba. The combination of Surinamese and Indonesian flavors creates a unique and delicious dining experience. The spicy sauce and goat Roti are highly recommended, offering melt-in-your-mouth goodness at reasonable prices. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making you feel right at home.
I rated Indo 7 years ago, and it's been a while since I visited, but on my last, 1 week ago. I was blown away by the freshness, the quality, and their outstanding flavours that had me going there so often many years ago. They offer you the favourites of javanese food with authentic flavours and leave you craving for their dishes. My family ate, and we had all of our favourites and not 1 dish disappointed. They offer halal options on certain meats. When you go, just ask the server, and they'll tell you exactly what is halal on the day. Definitely the best Javanese/Surinamese restaurants in Aruba!
Riyad M — Google review
The restaurant offered a pleasant dining experience overall, with attentive and friendly service that made the visit enjoyable. The noodles were a highlight — full of flavor. However, the fried rice was disappointing, as it lacked depth and seasoning. Additionally, the chicken was unfortunately dry and could have benefitted from more moisture or a better cooking technique. Despite these shortcomings, the good service and tasty noodles make this spot worth considering.

Be still my heart. I absolutely love Suriname and it had been such a long time since I’ve had Surinamese food. When we stumbled across this place my body was filled with joy and excitement. I wanted to order everything on the menu but alas I only ordered a few items and EVERY SINGLE ITEM WAS PERFECT. If I could bring this place to America I would do so. The wait staff was awesome. It was busy and we had a wait- but I would have waited even longer.

This is now the second time this week me and my family ate at indo, and it amazed us both times. The tastes and quality of the food in genuinely outstanding. Not one dish, and not one side dish was even slightly off. This is a must visit if you are on Aruba, wether Indonesian & Surinamese food is already your thing or wether you’re new to it. This restaurant should be on your list!!

Food: This is a small, family-owned establishment serving suramese and Indonesian cuisine. The family is multilingual, including English. We ordered a noodle and fried rice combination with chicken that came with some delicious peanut sauce. The portion was huge and kid friendly. The noodles and fried rice are very similar to Chinese lo mein and brown fried rice. We also ordered some goat curry, which was the star of the meal, and some soato (soup with shredded chicken and vermicelli noodles). The restaurant happily accepted credit cards. We used a visa, but was charged an additional $5USD as a credit card fee. Parking: There was plenty of parking in front of the restaurant, but there are no clear markings. Just park and leave space for others.

First time visiting Aruba last week decided to try this location with many positive reviews. Small simple but inviting. It wasn't very busy 8pm Thursday night. Food was good and priced accordingly. Definitely worth the stop to try something different. Bar has small selection of drinks. BEST PART --- THERE WAS NO 15% SERVICE FEE and the owner/manager never asked for a tip. That alone says alot about this small business. I would go back.

We came here for the halal chicken and goat. The chicken skewer noodles were great along with the boiled/fried veges. Fried rice could use some work, was a little bland. The employee who served us was polite and friendly. Reasonably priced.

It was so good we went back as soon as they were open again! I highly suggest the braised short ribs! Wow! My husband had the gluten free spaghetti bolognese. It was so good too! They also brought him gluten free bread. I wish I could mention my waiter's name but apparently, my review was not posted because I added him to my first review. And the second time we went back, our second experience was as amazing as the first! Different waiter, and just so happy and accommodating. Everyone from the person who seats you, the person who brings the water, the person who delivers the food and your waiter act like you're family! I saw Negative reviews and I just think those people had a bad day - not the restaurant!

Disappointing Experience I'm extremely dissatisfied with our recent visit to this restaurant. Our party of six was eagerly looking forward to a great dining experience, but unfortunately, it was a disaster from start to finish. We began by ordering appetizers, which never arrived. When our main courses were served, I inquired about the missing appetizers, and our waitress seemed surprised, as if she had forgotten. We asked to cancel the appetizer order, but by then, it was too late. The main courses were a letdown. My son's pizza was inedible - tiny, with raw dough on the bottom and burnt on top. It tasted like canned tomatoes. My kids' butter pasta lacked flavor, my husband's lasagna was uneatable, and my daughter's veal was tough and impossible to chew. To top it all off, my braised beef rib order was incorrect. Despite the waitress claiming it was ribs, it was actually a hard, unidentifiable cut of beef. I requested the chef to come explain, but they never showed up. The dish was a catastrophe. We were forced to return our food, ask for the check, and leave. The service was subpar, and the food was a complete failure. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Our experience was a perfect storm of poor service and terrible cuisine. Needless to say, we will never be returning.

Quite the disappointment. Hard to mess Up Chicken Parm, which is always my safe order when I’m in a non true Italian Italian untested restaurant for me. This time the time tested safe choice didn’t work!
Michael P — Google review
My husband and I went here for dinner while on vacation. My dish was good, except it said octopus would be in it and it wasn't. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan and was disappointed. He said the chicken was more a grilled chicken, not breaded and then had a pile of bread crumbs on top of the spaghetti. Flavor was just ok for both, nothing spectacular. Waitress was great, friendly, and attentive. Nice view of the pool, beach, and palm trees. Probably won't go again though if we stay at Holiday Inn in Aruba.

Amazing staff! Our server Ramon was are server, attentive and funny! All staff that we interacted with were so friendly and attentive. Hostess amazing. Food great value ,was great Italian cuisine and my husband is Italian and knows good Italian food. Exceptional all around, highly recommend!!!
Robin J — Google review
The restaurant's ambiance is classy and unhurried; too bad the food and service don't live up to the name; it's almost a disgrace. We had a terrible first impression since the server was rude and had us wait just for them to check our room reservation after we placed our order. That took a while, and in the meantime, no services were provided other than the water and bread when we first sat down. Now to the food, as other reviews mentioned, calamari fritti was super chewy like rubber, and the breading was thick and unflavored. $12 gets you about eight pieces of calamari. The dipping sauce was decent to contrast the fried calamari. Linguine frutti di mare had a much better flavor and texture. Garlic and butter combo is always pleasant for shrimps, though you can't taste much of garlic. Seafood doesn't taste too fresh, but the pasta and the alfredo sauce were pretty good. And that dish was 30 dollars. There was a mandatory 15% service charge for the bare minimum service.

We ate at Da Vinci during our stay at The Holiday Inn last week and both the meal and the desserts were delicious! Our server, Jisury, was also great - very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We really enjoyed our Italian meal there and would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Noord area looking for a n authentic Italian dinner!

Chinese restaurant
If you find yourself in Aruba and have a craving for Dutch-Asian cuisine, Yami Yami is an essential stop that should be on your itinerary. Nestled conveniently between Eagle Beach, Palm Beach, and Oranjestad, this unpretentious eatery serves up a delightful fusion of Chinese and Indonesian dishes alongside sushi. After exploring local attractions like the Donkey Sanctuary or Spanish Lagoon, it's the perfect spot to refuel.
Great food, very busy but decent service. I was skeptical of the chicken teriyaki, which they said was their best seller, and it was yummy!
Rich A — Google review
Let me start with how good the food was. It really was delicious. We just had to get it first. We ordered the orange chicken with fried rice, hot and sour soup, and a chicken wonton soup. All of it was super tasty. The hot and sour soup was the spiciest I have ever had. We both loved it, but beware it’s spicier than what we were used to. The chicken wonton soup was mild in spicy, but so full of flavor. The orange chicken was enough for us to share. One funny thing that happened in our 2.5 hour visit here was a pizza delivery for the staff. This was a first for me.

Nice portions!! The chicken and vegetables were awesome!!

Food was okay, wasn’t impressed. We went at 9pm so the sushi bar was closed. The waiter was rushing us to make a decision on what to order because the kitchen was supposed to close at 9:30pm. The menu was in Dutch, so be prepared to Google translate everything :)

This is an interesting restaurant. Normally I do not like fusion places that much but this one wins some points for being unique. It’s definitely a local vibe and has nice decor inside. It is decorated with Indonesian, Japanese, Dutch and other adornments. Upon entering you might think it looks run down but it is quite nice inside. In terms of food, the Indonesian dish that I got was outstanding. We also had Chicken Satay and Edamame which was standard. For sushi, I’d say it passed but I wouldn’t come here exclusively for it. There are probably other places on the island more specialized in sushi. Overall, I’d definitely return here but I would focus on the Indonesian dishes.
Andy A — Google review
This place came highly recommended by regulars to the island for an inexpensive Asian meal. The lunch menu (you need to ask for it and sit in the lower area) was extremely affordable at around $10 per person. Unfortunately the food was bland. The sushi was good. I had steak and veggies and had to add lots of soy sauce to add some flavor. Not much veggies, but lots of meat in sauce. But it was very busy with locals, and probably still a good place to go for a quick and affordable lunch. We won't go back though. Once was enough.
Howard A — Google review
Nice to grab a bite for dinner on the go. Called before and approximately 15min later the food was ready to pick up. Prices are very affordable. They take allergies serious which I always appreciate. I ordered a menu with Chinese tomato soup, babi pangang with bami. The Chinese tomato soup was a bit too salty but good enough for a fast bite.

Wanted to try the local food and this place did not disappoint. There was a wait for the food but that's because it was being made fresh. We ordered the teriyaki chicken... deeelish!!! We will be going back before our trip end to try something else on the menu.

Takeout Restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Saco di Felipe is a takeout restaurant that serves up some of the most delicious Caribbean food in Aruba. The family-owned and operated spot boasts homemade dishes and ingredients, making it a must-go for late night snackers. The food is always fresh and hot, with plenty of options to choose from, including sizzling-hot fried chicken or chops, plantain, homecut fries and Johnny cake.
Very worth the trip! The food comes out hot and is good! The star was the Johnnie cake which is amazing! Spent $20 USD to feed my wife and I. We are stuffed!
Raul O — Google review
The flavor/seasoning of the meat has changed a little bit over the last few years, but it's still probably the best saco in Aruba. Definitely the best johnny cake in Aruba. It's a huge portion, you will be full after.
Yairo M — Google review
Their Jonny cake was soooo good!! Their fish sandwich and chicken (super juicy and tasty) were my favorite out of all the meat options.
Dahae Y — Google review
I had heard a lot of this place "Saco di Felipe" known for its famous "saco". So today since I was in this area I decided to get something to eat here. So I ordered a saco which came with 3 pcs of fried chicken, potatoes, banana & 1 Johnny cake. I decided to eat right there. I enjoyed the potatoes, banana was ok, johhny cake was very good which I enjoyed but the chicken was very disappointing which was not well fried. I might consider visiting this place again but would not order the chicken and would just get the "Veggie Saco" which consists of Potatoes, Banana & Johnny Cake.
RAJESH J — Google review
Food is nice, but quite greasy. The Johnny cakes are delicious and have a big size. They are worth your money.
Daniela M — Google review
In my opinion, there are better options than this place. Depending on where you are staying on the island you might have to drive a while to get there. Let me tell you now it's not worth the trip. It was not awful but it was not great either. You get a lot of food yes but it was very greasy and was not seasoned. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The Jonny cake was okay but nothing special. That's the best way to describe this place.. "nothing special"
J — Google review
It was in one word: HORRIBLE! My mother comes from this area of the island and has nice childhood memories of this place. They must have changed owners because when we went a few days ago the food was greasy, tasteless, and the meat was veryyy dry and burnt. Don’t go here! We gave our food to three dogs. There’s another place further down the street that sells better Saco (with red umbrellas). Save your money!
Mel L — Google review
I got the mixed Saco and it was absolutely delicious. I also got a Johnny cake with ham and cheese. It is a must if you're visiting Aruba!

Villa
Nestled in the charming fishermen's neighborhood of Savaneta, Aruba Ocean Villas offers a unique escape from the typical resort experience. This boutique hotel features seven exquisite overwater bungalows adorned with rich mahogany furnishings and airy white linens, creating an atmosphere of rustic luxury. Each villa is a haven of comfort, complete with outdoor showers and stunning ocean views that invite you to unwind in style.
I just spent five nights at Aruba Ocean Villas and honestly, it was one of the most magical travel experiences I’ve ever had. The place feels like a secret—tucked away in quiet Savaneta, right on the water, and totally unlike anything else on the island. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like I was home. Everyone was warm, attentive, and remembered the little things that made each day easier and more relaxing. The villa itself was stunning—open-air, right over the ocean, with a deck where I could literally dip my toes in the water from my room. I’d wake up to the sound of waves, eat breakfast delivered right to my deck, and just breathe. No TV, no noise, just peace. The vibe is super romantic and low-key in the best way. Every sunset felt like a private show. And the food? Incredible. “The Old Man and the Sea” is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Fresh, flavorful dishes with the ocean at your feet and string lights twinkling overhead. Even the cocktails were great. It’s rare to find a place that blends nature, comfort, and such a welcoming atmosphere so seamlessly, but this one nails it. I came back feeling lighter, calmer, and honestly already thinking about when I can go back.

Absolutely stunning Villas. We stayed in the Jon Jon. Definitely a bucket list environment of pure beauty. The service was top notch. They all went above and beyond to make us feel very special. The food was amazing as well. My only regret was not staying longer. Can’t wait to book it again. They have an employee name Carlos. He took us out for a day on the UTV’s. He felt like family the entire time. The entire staff was that way as well.

My fiancé and I stayed here for 2 nights and the experience was amazing! We had the privilege of staying in Isla Alistair and the bungalow was absolutely beautiful. On our first night, we dined at an overwater table. The food, sunset and server were all amazing! Our server even sang a song and played guitar for us at sunset. On the second day, we enjoyed the comfort of our bungalow during the day and at night, to my surprise, my fiancé asked me to marry him! The staff at Aruba Ocean Villas went above and beyond to help set up our bungalow with candles and flowers and a private dinner after the proposal to celebrate! We cannot wait to return!
Tori P — Google review
The restaurant portion of the place was nice. Dinner was good and plentiful. I was given a free treat as I was celebrating my birthday. I did notice they sung happy birthday to a different patron but that was not experienced by me, despite making the reservation 3 months in advance and even telling my waitress it was my actual 45th birthday on 10/13. Overall I would give this place a 8/10
Quiana M — Google review
Great location and friendly and caring staff. Our villa (Sophia) was exquisite - great combination of style and ambience. The season was uncommonly wind-free, creating a haven for mosquitos - we were not prepared for that, especially at dusk. Long sleeves and long pants would have been prefered. The advertised kayaks and paddle boards were not always available but we did enjoy snorkeling around the villas. Joy Mckeon (reservations/concierge) was especially helpful in making our trip special and helping us coordinate dinner reservations, water sports, etc. Great location and staff - we would book again!
Michael B — Google review
We stayed in the Penthouse Sophia for our honeymoon, and it was everything we could’ve dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely cared for. Every single detail was so thoughtful, from the beautiful decor to the little touches that made it feel so personal and romantic. Breakfast on our deck each morning, surrounded by the ocean and the birds, kayaking to sea glass island, all the staff were amazing; everything was pure magic. We loved having direct water access from the steps, soaking in the tubs, relaxing in the overwater hammock, and just taking in those unbelievable views. Both bedrooms had great AC, and even without it in the rest of the villa, the ocean breeze kept it comfortable and airy. You can truly feel how much love and intention has gone into creating this place... it's unlike anywhere we’ve ever stayed. Aruba Ocean Villas is beyond special, and staying here made our honeymoon an experience we’ll never forget. **There are a lot of mosquitos; prepare to get bit up if you don't use the complimentary sunscreen***
Summer T — Google review
What a disappointment. We arrived to Old Man and the Sea for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and he was given a soaking wet chair. When we told them his pants were now entirely soaked, the response was basically ‘how were we supposed to know the chair was wet.’ We are at supposedly high end restaurant, that kind of seems like the bare minimum. Our service was just odd, the waiter would walk over and just look at us and we felt like we were inconveniencing him every time. He never asked if we wanted another round of drinks, and the first time we ordered drinks and I asked for mocktail options, again seemed like we were inconveniencing him. Which brings me to the food, I was shocked. My appetizer was inedible and came out 20 minutes before my boyfriend’s app, even though we said to bring them at the same time. Our entrees were fine but I would say the equivalent to the food you would get at a large/cheap restaurant chain. Especially compared to all the other places we have eaten on this trip, by far our worst meal. Not at all worth it for the price or the travel if you’re staying in the Noord area.
Kathryn S — Google review
Here’s my honest review. We stayed at Dushi Sue for 2 nights for our honeymoon. Night before checkin we read some horrible reviews of the place so I wasn’t expecting much. The moment I entered the room, I kept wondering who would give this place a bad review and WHY! The place was beautiful, worth every penny. We spent so much of our time on the deck. Pros: 1. They knew we were coming for our honeymoon, so they filled the tub with rose petals, gave complementary champagne, fruits and refrigerator stocked with sodas. They also had spf and bug spray in their room. 2. The room and patio were simply gorgeous. At night the moon was reflecting on the ocean, we sat on the patio for hours. 3. Some reviews said there is no TV and no AC in the bathroom. Are you guys okay? The shower was so nice and comfortable. You are in nature, please don’t forget that. We were worried about the bugs because so many reviews mentioned it, honestly we didn’t need the bug spray. It was alright. 4. It’s surrounded by birds and they will sing beautifully to you. 5. Garden massage was fantastic, worth every penny. 6. The staff were very sweet. 7. Food is delicious. We had all three meals there. Loved it! They have plenty of vegetarian options as well. 8. Kayaks are available Cons: 1. There was a construction going on in the villa that was right opposite our villa. We wanted a quiet morning. We complained about it so they stopped it for the day. 2. The same day they messaged us early morning that there will be a power outage for 2 hours which we weren’t expecting and were not happy about it though it wasn’t too bad since patio was breezy. So if you are thinking of booking the place, 100% go for it. There isn’t another property on the island like this one. Check with the property about construction in advance so you know what to expect. If I come to Aruba, I’m definitely booking them again. ❤️
