Audi Forum Ingolstadt is a multifaceted complex that includes an Audi museum showcasing cars and motorcycles, as well as restaurants and an arthouse cinema. The city of Ingolstadt holds literary significance as the birthplace of Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein, making it a compelling destination for literature enthusiasts. Additionally, the forum's restaurants offer stylish settings and high-quality culinary delights, having received recognition for their excellence in service and ambiance.
Awesome place, some truly iconic vehicles steeped in history. If only some of these cars could tell stories. Only €5 entry fee which is more than good value for money.
Oliver Y — Google review
Very enjoyable visit today. Friendly and welcoming staff. Free parking for museum visitors, have your ticket validated at the museum ticket desk. Only €5 for entry! A lot better value than other German car manufacturer museums. Great exhibits. A special R8 display at the moment. Discount for the restaurant also included. I think the coffee I had in the cafe was the best I’ve tasted in Germany. And a very nice lady running the bar and cafe. Also you can observe customers collecting their new Audi cars, here at the factory.

We visited the Audi Museum today and it was outstanding! First, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very helpful as well. The museum spans 3 floors. It covers the entire history of Audi with amazing cars that date back to the beginning. The cars on display are unreal. They also have motorcycles and some military vehicles. They also have a gift shop in the museum and another gift shop in one of the show rooms. We took the train from Munich and a short bus ride to the museum. Bus stop is right in front of the museum. Cost to enter is €5 per person which is an amazing price for this museum. We had a great time and loved our visit. Highly recommend!
Michael M — Google review
Very welcoming staff. Their museum is not huge but has all what a fan can require. I was extremely lucky and they got to see and hear one of the Auto Union V16 from the 50s outside as they started up. What a thrill!!!! 100% recommended

A Must-Visit for Car Enthusiasts: Audi Forum Experience! The Audi Forum was a truly nice experience and a definite highlight for any car enthusiast! I absolutely loved the design of the building – it's an architectural marvel in itself. The showrooms were fantastic, showcasing an incredible range of cars that were a joy to explore. Just seeing all those vehicles up close was captivating. I highly recommend visiting! My only regret is not being able to do the factory tour, as it seems you need to buy tickets well in advance, perhaps even weeks ahead, so plan accordingly if that's on your list. Despite missing the factory tour, the overall experience was highly recommended!
Carlos C — Google review
Been wanted to visit this place for a very long time. Finally I did it and it really didnt disappoint. The history of the brand and the historical display is amazing. Spent almost the entire day reading all the description. Entry fees of 5 Euros well spent.
KC N — Google review
A very nice museum for autotomotive fans, with dozens of Audi models on display, and quite a bit of historic information and context. It's not as big or impressive as Mercedes or BMW's museums, but still great nontheless, with fewer crowds and also cheaper.
Alex J — Google review
The Audi museum is much quieter than the bmw, mercedes, and Porsche museums that I also visited on this trip. It's slightly more substantial than the Porsche museum and similar to the bmw, except like the Porsche museum they let you get closer to the cars. The people here are much nicer than at the bmw, and for just 5€ entry you also get free parking. Factory tour is 9€ extra. Much better experience than the bmw museum and welt. Almost makes you want to buy another Audi, even though my old A8 gave me nightmares. Also 10% discount at their restaurant, which is well priced unlike some other places.

Klenzepark Ingolstadt is a sprawling public park located along the Danube River, designed by the renowned architect Leo von Klenze. The park boasts manicured gardens, serene waterways, and a concert stage. It features lush greenery, picturesque landscapes, and historical significance. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, picnics, and outdoor activities in this beautiful setting.
I recently visited Klenzepark Ingolstadt with my family, and I can honestly say it was a delightful experience! The park offers such a naturalistic and peaceful atmosphere, which made it the perfect spot for us to unwind and enjoy some quality time together. The greenery and serene surroundings instantly put us at ease, and we loved how well-maintained everything was. What stood out the most was how kid-friendly the park is. There were plenty of open spaces for the children to run around and play.

Worth the trip from Hauptbahnhof. Nice place to have a food break on the way to the Audi Forum

Any corner in this Park, you can find the so-deep-pics for your own. I heard that, it will be more beautiful in Spring and Summer, when the roses bloom and grass will be so green, all are under the sunshine. So relax and feel good here. But public Toilet is closed from Nov - Mar 😢😢😢. You can find other nearby.
Trang N — Google review
Klenzepark is a beautiful location, full of vegetation, from wild to domestic, flowers, reeds, groves full of rabbits and other creatures. It is surrounded by Reduit Tilly and comprises an open green space, adored in the warm season by pupils, students and families. Exhibition spaces and museums are part of the park and of course it does not lack a very generous playground for children and trails for mountain bike lovers. Interesting festivals are held here in the summer and there is a Beach Bar on the Danube side. I recommend to tourists.

Churches & Cathedrals
Asamkirche Maria de Victoria is a remarkable church in Ingolstadt, designed by the celebrated Late Baroque architects, the Asam brothers. Despite its unassuming exterior, the interior of this 1730s church is a stunning example of Rococo design. Lavishly adorned with carved stucco, marquetry woodwork, and gilding, it features a 490-square-meter ceiling painting depicting the Incarnation of the Lord.
This church it's quite beautiful... From the outside it seems a little simple but on the inside its wonderful... Though a bit small. Still, I really like the many paintings on the wall and the big one on the ceiling... They also have some interesting relics and other religious stuff. The entrance cost about 3€ but I think it's worth it just for the beauty of its interior.
Juan H — Google review
You would never guess from the outside that such beauty is inside! Cost 4euro to enter. Completely worth it.
Kathy J — Google review
The Church of St Mary of Victory is a Rococo masterpiece built by the Asam Brothers in 1736. I have been on a quest to see all of the Asam Brothers' churches, which are mostly in Bavaria. The interior is lavishly adorned with carved stucco, marquetry woodwork, and gilding. The use of light colors and shapes inspired by nature are typical of the Rococo style. The ceiling has the largest flat ceiling fresco in the world, and depicts Mary as Queen of Heaven and mediator of divine grace. Each corner portrays one of the four continents paying homage to Mary. The Lepanto monstrance was created by Augsburg goldsmith Johann Zeckl in 1708 to commemorate the victory of the Christians over the Turks in the naval battle of Lepanto. A sinking Turkish ship, the fleeing Sultan, and drowning harem ladies are depicted in intricate detail. A monstrance is a vessel to display the consecrated host. The word 'monstrance' comes from the Latin 'monstrare', which is also the root for the word 'demonstrate'.
Kent W — Google review
Needless to say that the touch of the Asams brothers leave you surprised every time you see their works. the entrance is 3.5€ cash. but its worth more the exterior os very simple but once i stepped foot inside, the 490 m2 painting on the ceiling with its meaning is more than impressive, of course the main aisle is something from another level. a vey astoniching church to the Holy Maru lady of Victory. A Baroque church from the 1700's.
David A — Google review
This place was amazing in person. Pictures don't do it justice.. so much to see.. So much detail.
Rap R — Google review
There is an Entry fee of 3 eur,but its worth to visit. The interior architecture is so mind blowing. The history note is available in English also,so that you get a clear picture of each sculpture, dont visit ingolstadt to see ONLY this.
Asha V — Google review
Beautiful church, really worth to pay and see this paintings, how also changes their perception, depending on from which side of the church you observe them: I'm impressed!
Marta K — Google review
A one of the kind church, starting with the name, inspired not by a patron saint and closing with the stuccos. It worth a visit despite the lack of heating in winter and the limited visit time. The marquetry is splendid and I won't say a word about the unique ceiling and stuccos. Enjoy, 3 euros well spent!

Although it is not such a big outlet, it is nice looking and well organised. It is not overcrowded and there is plenty of parking spaces that were free of charge. It is very clean and tidy. Unfortunately, there is a limited selection in stores, but overall, it is worth visiting.
Milos L — Google review
A small cool open-air outlet, especially if you're into designer brands at a discount. It's got a relaxed vibe, and you can find some decent deals, though some styles might be a bit older. Plus, it's easy to get to from Munich if you fancy a shopping day trip.

Nestled in the heart of Ingolstadt, the Herzogskasten "Altes Schloss" stands as a testament to the city's rich history. Constructed in 1255 for Louis II, Duke of Bavaria, this striking Gothic castle was not only a noble residence but also played a crucial role in fortifying the city’s defenses. Over time, it has served various purposes including that of a treasury and granary.

Kath. The southern tower reaches 69 meters while the northern one stands at 62 meters, both adorned with newer Baroque domes. Military Museums
The Bavarian Army Museum, housed in the historic New Castle, offers a fascinating journey through local military history. The museum showcases an extensive collection of medieval armor, weaponry, and WWII artifacts within the former ducal residence of Ingolstadt. Visitors can immerse themselves in over a thousand years of history while exploring well-preserved medieval architecture and massive fortifications that once served as both a defensive stronghold and a symbol of power.
Super cool museum! Lots of interestonf artifacts and history and art and the building itself is cool to walk around too. I didnt know this since we had only an hour to go through it but save your time for the top floor. They implemented tech so you can view information about Each artifact from your phone with codes which was really cool but didn't save enough time for it to get the most out of that feature. The whole place is well kept and well staffed worth the entry fee! I don't know how much tourism happens in Ingolstadt but I wish there was more of a selection in the gift shop. A few kids toys and lots of books are all I remember being there which was so so.
James Y — Google review
This is a good museum, but to be honest, I expected more. The artifact displays are so scanty for the most part that you are acutely aware of the amount of unused space in the exhibit rooms. The artifacts that are displayed are done well and put into decent context. Their is some excellent military art displayed, with some pieces that are truly impressive. The most impressive part of the museum for me was not the tent of the Grand Vizier but the tin soldier dioramas. They are not only huge but amazingly detailed. The dioramas make this museum worth a visit all by themselves. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but if you are in town with a few hours to spare, it is worth your time.

This is a really interesting museum, it has a really nice exhibit starting from knights up to the world War... I really like it, I was even available to wear a knights helmet replica and chain shirt... I had lot of fun and was amazed by the quality of the exhibition.. Everything is well preserved and with lots of interesting information... If you like to learn about war or even just medieval times I highly recommend it ⚔️

Very interesting museum with a lot of different things to see. The settings were nice and pictured the use of items and the transformation of warfare, in a Bavarian context, well. My favourite part were undoubtfully the knights and 16th century weapons. The exibitions were given a lot of room, which gave every single item the right kind of space and focus. As I see it, there's probably room to exibit more items in the existing space. The toy soldier section, for all it seemed to never end, was very interesting and well made. The only thing I missed was a tank. To me, being a foreigner, a german army museum without a tank is like a ship museum without ships 😉

Transportation service
ZOB Busbahnhof Ingolstadt is the central bus station in Ingolstadt, Germany. It serves as a major transportation hub for both local and intercity buses. The station is well-organized, clean, and clearly labeled, making it easy for travelers to navigate. However, there are limited amenities at the station, with only a pizza shop, bakery, and vending machines available. Some visitors have expressed a desire for more food options and shops within the station premises.
Essy to accessible with good bus connection within city.
Ghanshyam M — Google review
They lack shops. There's only one Pizza shop and a bakery, and....vending machines. I know this is not the 'Hauptbahnhof' but it would be very nice if they have more food stalls or some kind of small shop like Yorma. Many people use this station as it was closer to the inner part of the city, so food is necessary especially when your train is late (which is almost always the case). If you're using FLIXBUS, walk a little bit to the south and you'll see the FLIXBUS sign.
Ekyasa M — Google review

The German Museum of Medicine History in Ingolstadt is a renowned attraction housed in a grand Baroque building. It showcases an extensive collection of over 1,000 medical objects from ancient civilizations like Egypt and East Asia to the present day. Visitors can explore various exhibitions on the history of medicine and anatomy, with audio guides available in both German and English. The museum also features an adjoining botanical garden that grows medicinal plants used throughout history.
Visiting the German Museum of Medical History in Ingolstadt was an eye-opening experience that I highly recommend to anyone passing through this charming Bavarian city. Nestled in a historic 18th-century hospital building, the museum offers a unique glimpse into the fascinating evolution of medicine. As soon as I stepped in, I was captivated by the beautifully restored baroque apothecary. The intricate details and antique jars filled with mysterious substances transported me back in time. The museum's collection is extensive, ranging from ancient surgical instruments to more recent medical innovations, all meticulously displayed with informative descriptions. What I found particularly engaging were the interactive exhibits. They made complex medical history accessible and interesting, even for those without a scientific background. I was also impressed by the special exhibitions that delve into specific aspects of medical history, adding depth to the visit. The medicinal plant garden was another highlight. Strolling through this serene outdoor space, I learned about the natural origins of many traditional remedies. It was a peaceful and educational complement to the indoor exhibits. Overall, the German Museum of Medical History in Ingolstadt is a hidden gem that beautifully blends education with engagement. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in history, medicine, or simply looking for a unique experience in Ingolstadt.

(Translated by Google) We visited over the weekend with our family, including our baby, and it was an enjoyable and very informative visit. The exhibits from various eras were incredibly interesting and presented in a very clear and engaging way. It's evident that great emphasis is placed on making the permanent exhibition interactive. In my opinion, this was even more successful in the special exhibition on sustainability. There were many creative stations for hands-on activities and exploration. The well-equipped changing station was also a great advantage for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only suggestion for improvement: The information about the exhibits is written in rather dense language. While it maintains an academic standard, I think a simpler style would encourage a wider audience to study the information panels more closely.

Donautherme Ingolstadt is a modern water park and spa that underwent renovations and enhancements, reopening in autumn 2022. It caters to families, athletes, and those seeking relaxation. The facility features an adventure pool for families, a dedicated area for children and toddlers, high-speed tubes and slides, as well as a swimming pool with waves. Additionally, there are outdoor pools with heated water.
A very pleasant place to relax. I visited it during the week, so there weren't many people in the area. The outdoor and indoor pools were great. I also liked the toboggans. However, I liked the wellness area the most. There were many options to choose from. The saunas were located inside, but also outside in the area in a beautiful setting. All areas were clean, the relaxation zones had beautiful views. I definitely recommend visiting. Price for visiting whole area after 6pm was 30€.

Donautherme Ingolstadt is ideal for families with children. It offers a slide tower with multiple slides, a wave pool, a pleasant toddler splash area, and a good dining option. A clear recommendation.
Michael — Google review
The pool options are somewhat limited, but still sufficient for a relaxing thermal day. The adults-only area is especially charming, with its outdoor pool surrounded by trees. The jacuzzi, offering both sitting and lying options, is very enjoyable, and the pool bar experience feels quite unique. Food and drink prices are the same with average restaurant and bar levels, though it’s best to keep expectations modest in terms of taste. The only area that could use improvement is the massage service — instead of the soothing after-effect one would expect, it felt rather light and left me wondering if the massage had really taken place. With some adjustments here, the overall experience could be even more satisfying.
Gökçen İ — Google review
Great place, very clean, comfortable, good water and also temperature. You can enjoy and relax big time!
Darius T — Google review
The slides are great fun but only open at 14:00 on a weekday, something not stated when you go on the slides page, only under the opening times on the website, which caught us out. The price is a bit high and doesn't seem to be less if you visit before the slides open, which are the main attraction for kids. We also had the fire alarm go off while we there and we had to evacuate. It told us to go outside which would have been great fun at 5 degrees in wet bathers, luckily the lady at the front counter let everybody stay indoors and handed out towels but I do wonder what their plan would be in a real emergency! Have everybody stand outside in wet bathers in winter? Overall, not quite worth the money, there is better places around!

We had a great time there. Only minus is because there were no guardians in part with slides. We were there on Saturday between 6-8 pm, and there were a lots of kids on slides, a no one was watching them... I think that at least one guardian should keep an eye on slides. Customers rave about the quick and easy process of picking up and returning vehicles, making it ideal for those on tight schedules or important business trips.
My experience with Sixt was perfect. Picking up the vehicle, using it during the trip, and returning the car was extremely easy. It was the best experience I've ever had with any car rental company IN THE WORLD. I would like to highlight the Ingolstadt store, which in addition to the wonderful attendant, had a clean, fragrant, cozy, organized and professional environment.
Thomé C — Google review
Don't trust the people at the center. You book something online and when you go to collect the vehicle, the contract will be different and it will not be explained to you and end of the day after returning the vehicle you will have the invoice for the changed contract signed which you do it in hurry while collecting the vehicle. The additional charges will be automatically collected from your card which you provide. When you ask back, they say the invoice already generated and we cannot do anything. This is one type of scam going on to make money and so would request to take time and read the contract before signing it. By saying sorry, I will not get what is been charged from me without my concern directly. It is a big shame on your part to just say sorry and move on...

I had a very good experience with Sixt. We had car troubles on the way to our holiday destination and needed a rental car. The lady behind the counter was extremely accommodating and empathetic.
Jamie B — Google review
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The process was quick and easy. The vehicle condition was excellent and most importantly so much cheaper than other famous and long established car rental provider. Value for money!!
Puriantoh S — Google review
I rented a Transporter and 110 euro for one day and 200 euro for deposite. at the end, I've recieved the bill that they booked 170 euro instead of 110 Euro that we arranged. that is awefull experience that i've had with SIXT. this is the end for me to rent a car there.(I told them I don't want to have insurance but afterwards, they charged me.)
Behzad K — Google review
If you want to be forced to upgrade to another vehicle because the one you reserved wasn't in stock and pay an extra 400 euro. The suv I was given was covered in dents and they refuse to refund the deposit even though I took photos of the damage when I was there. So if you want to spend an extra 1000 euro on a car and have the worst customer service experience ever. Book from these idiots. Also the Asian lady at the front desk can't speak English to save her life. They don't even deserve 1 star. Use any other car rental company in ingolstadt before you give these idiots your business.
Courtney W — Google review
I booked an estate car as I am travelling with 4 people and lots of luggage. But when I pick up the car there is no estate car available. Only SUVs are available. The MG offered was a very bad car. Small space, awful handling, bulky vehicle, no electric range left and very small fuel tank, totally unsuitable for my trip from Ingolstadt to Milan. After returning on Tuesday 2024.02.13, we found the Swiss vignette left on the windscreen and I immediately submitted my request on the Lost&Found page. But the staff only replied on Thursday 2024.02.15 and said that the car had been rented at Munich airport and suggested that I contact the Munich branch. I was very angry because this is an internal problem of SIXT and SIXT should solve it internally. I made my request, but in the end the vignette is still lost. I am very disappointed.

Museum
The Museum of World War I (Bavarian Army Museum) is located in a 19th-century fort and showcases a wide range of artifacts from weapons to uniforms, as well as photographs. It offers a unique glimpse into one of the most brutal conflicts in recent history, providing insight into the thoughts and emotions of soldiers during the war through personal accounts. Additionally, it presents narratives about the hardships faced by families during this time.
impressive museum, and i found it the best between the 3 museum of this complex. entrance 1€ on Sunday and you will spend easily 2.5 hrs here. the Roundtour is easy, you just have to keep going through doors. you will live here the real experience of ww1 through ground/air/marine weapons, trenches and soldiers' daily life. very recommended for history lovers.

We were at exhibition with our 1 year old child. At the entrance was no problem, but after payment, on the start of exhibition it was told to us that it is dangerous to continue with baby. We must leave baby carriage on the start and in the end we terminated exhibition early. There is also no English translation, every description and video is on German.
Štefan V — Google review
Very interesting museum. It takes a roughly chronological journey through the years leading up to the war, the first world war itself, and some of the events in the interbellum. Also, it's part of the Bavarian Army Museum which holds three museums. You can get a combiticket for just €10, which is a really good deal. However, this exibition is in German only.
Resurrected S — Google review
This is a very interesting museum with a very large exhibition. The exhibition was due to its furnishing quite easily to get through as it is basically one long line.

Didn’t not visit the museum. But the surrounding area is quite nice.
Karthikeya B — Google review
I loved it. They really managed to make the atmosphere. The downside is that everything is in German, so if you do not speak it, you are doomed to not understand a thing. However, the items speak for themselves. I can't say that there is no parking near it, although I did not see it but you can try going with a car because there is a hotel near the place (10 min) so theoretically you can park there. It is good to know that it is full of electric scooters that you can rent.
Milen S — Google review
Big and well equiped museum. I had a good time, however I was driven away by a tourist guide (23.04.2022 around 13h) who was guiding another group at the same time I arrived at the museum. She was polite, but still it felt unpleasant, hence the three stars.

Received the worst car ever. The tires have absolutely zero grip, was almost about to crash, but luckily I managed to save myself. And why is there a speed limiter set at 160km/h. I went to the autobahn, and I could not overtake anyone. 160 is baby speed. Atleast remove speed limiter in Germany as there is no speed limit in Germany

Who wants to rent and pay a BMW in advance to go and find out the rental day, the car does not even exist in their available stock, get offered a lower class Hyundai as only option and have to pay extra for the lower class car "because today prices are higher" One extra star for the friendly counter lady understanding I was being ripped off. The process of rental is fine. Next time dont offer me a Ferrari and give me a bike instead for extra price Ps update: reaching me again giving a link (that leads nowhere) to rewrite a complain and telling you will call (you never did) only makes it worse

Be careful choosing Europcar as a car rental in Dubai if you are planning to go to Musandam in Oman. Europcar does not allow to bring cars from UAE into Oman even not with extra insurance. Other rental companies do that without any hesitation. However, refund from Europcar is difficult to get even when it is Europcar that cancelled the contract. Unhappy experience.

If you rent a car from this guys and you pay the bond with your debit card then be ready to wait to get your bind back, for a few weeks with no interest rates paid. I've called the the account department to ask them what's going on and why does it takes so long to reimburse the bond and there answer was "we have thousands of clients every day and we can't serve you faster." Well....that was the worst answer from a multimillion € company not affording to employ more accountants...

It is not a monastery but the name refers to the majestic size. built and completed in 100 years. though the Two Towers were never finished with 62 and 69 m high. the Church kept its original architecture dated to the medieval ages and the interior with the main aisle and the altars surrounding it will leave you speechles. theres a small museum at the left end of the church for old valuables from the 1500's. a screen is installed with buttons to show you the levels of construction with the buildings part built and the date that took each to be completed.Impressive.

Münster Zur Schönen Unserer Lieben Frau, as "The Minster of Our Lady of the Beautiful" is a Catholic parish church ( Upper Parish ) in Ingolstadt, in the Bavarian Diocese of Eichstätt. This late Gothic church, dating from the 15th century, is a borderline case between a hall church and a pseudo-basilica. The designation "Minster" refers not to its function as a monastery church, but to its size, as it's probably one of the biggest church I've ever visited, really spectacular. This church was also gave its name to the Upper Parish, which was built after the Lower Parish of St. Moritz. Particularly, Münster Zur Schönen Unserer Lieben Frau has a good collections of Catholic assets, the Nativity Scene figures dated back in 18th century, and a room full of 18th Catholic artifacts. Definitely worth a 1-hour visit if you're in town.

Cross Gate, also known as Kreuztor gate, is a picturesque and delightful example of Medieval architecture in Ingolstadt. It is the most beautiful of the remaining town gates and serves as the city's most famous landmark. The huge and imposing building features four corner towers and small limestone decorations, making it a key attraction for visitors. Additionally, nearby attractions such as St. Maria de Victoria Kirche and Klanzepark offer further opportunities for exploration and photography in this charming German city.
Cool looking gate
Kenneth U — Google review
The seven-tower Kreuztor is part of the second Ingolstadt city wall built in 1363 . It is the only one of the original four main gates Feldkirchnertor , Hardertor , Kreuztor and Donautor that has been preserved. The name of the gate is derived from the former leper house to the west of the city, the Holy Cross.
David A — Google review
Impressive entry to the old town. Old cobblestone streets add to the experience of walking through and going back in time.
Bob R — Google review
The Kreuztor, built in 1385, is the western gateway to the medieval city center of Ingolstadt. The tower's name is derived from the leper house belonging to the Church of the Holy Cross (Kirche zum heiligen Kreuz), which stood to the west of the city walls until its destruction in the Schmalkaldic War in 1546. Driving your car passing through the Cross Gate, both during day and night time, will give you the feeling of medieval period.
Bill L — Google review
Kreuztor is one of the most iconic landmarks in Ingolstadt and definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring the city. This medieval gate, built in the 14th century, is beautifully preserved and serves as a reminder of the city’s rich history. The red brick architecture and the distinctive towers make it a perfect spot for photos – especially at sunset when the light brings out the warm tones of the walls. The area around Kreuztor is lively, with many cafés, restaurants, and small shops nearby. It’s a great place to take a walk, grab a coffee, and soak up the atmosphere of the old town. The structure itself is not large, but it’s incredibly picturesque and full of charm. It’s also interesting to see how the old and modern parts of the city blend here – the gate stands proudly at the entrance to the pedestrian zone, symbolizing Ingolstadt’s heritage. A small historical plaque provides some background information, which helps appreciate the site even more. While the gate itself doesn’t take long to visit, it’s the overall surroundings that make the experience memorable. If you’re in Ingolstadt, don’t miss a quick stop here – it’s a great spot to start or end your city walk.

The Museum for Concrete Art in Ingolstadt is a hidden gem that showcases abstract and geometric artworks, offering a unique cultural experience. Visitors can explore thought-provoking exhibitions, including the comprehensive display on Cruz-Diez and an interactive exhibition by Martin Creed. The museum's architecture is also noteworthy. While it may be small, it's definitely worth a visit for art enthusiasts looking for something different.
The museum is open on Sundays. Currently there is one very nice interactive exhibition by Martin Creed. It is enjoyable for kids and adults.

Although the building may be old, the Stadttheater Ingolstadt is known for its impressive performances and impeccable sound quality. The staff is always friendly, and ticket prices are generally affordable. One particular show, "The Ball Hause," was both humorous and featured stunning dance routines. The theater itself is clean and well-maintained, providing a pleasant environment for enjoying fantastic plays and shows. Overall, it offers a great experience for anyone interested in the performing arts.
This location offers a pleasant environment for dining and leisurely walks, reminiscent of the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA. The atmosphere is relaxed, with numerous attractions and points of interest, including a castle.
Mr L — Google review
We were there for eoft. Unfortunately, the theater was much more focused on taking as much money from us as possible instead of focusing on giving us a good experience. Guests were forced by the staff to put their coats in the Garderobe due to "sicherheitsgrund" which is already ridiculous. If you actually have a safety problem with it (which I don't know what it could be), then you need to inform people exactly what the risk is. If you choose not to do that, then the least you HAVE to do is to not charge for the service. If the theater requires me to turn in my coat, then you have to give the service for free. But at the end, it looks like it was just a big scheme to take more money from us. ABSURD! Furthermore, because nobody knew about this s-t-u-p-i-d rule, everyone waited until the last minute to enter the theater, which meant there was a big line to turn in coats. This also meant that many people were late for the start of the show, despite having arrived on time. They should have informed everyone days in advance of this ridiculous idea. Then, we had a 15-minute interval, in which we could buy very overpriced drinks. However, we were not allowed to bring it inside, which meant we had to chugg our beers in 15 minutes, which is unrealistic. The interval must be longer (or you allow drinks inside) The theater itself is runned down, the chairs are uncomfortable, and the sound system often times hard to understand.

The Bierbrunnen, or beer fountain, located at the entrance of Georgianum in Ingolstadt is a remarkable tourist attraction. It is a wonderful display that celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Purity Law of 1516. This law, which ensures the quality and purity of beer production, remains valid to this day. Ingolstadt can rightfully take pride in this historic tradition still being upheld.
(Translated by Google) I think the beer fountain (water fountain) at the entrance to the Georgianium is a great thing. (Original) Ich finde den Bierbrunnen (Wasserbrunnen) am Eingangsbereich vom Georgianium, eine tolle Sache. (Translated by Google) The beer fountain at Georgianum is something very special in Ingolstadt, as free beer actually bubbles there once a year. You can then have a jug that you brought with you or borrowed from a nearby location filled - even several times, while stocks last! There is always a huge rush and it's worth getting there early. This event opens with a short speech. In combination with a tour of the city, or for fans of beer culture, it is certainly worth a little excursion.

We had such a wonderful time at Kletterei! From the very beginning, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and a huge part of that was thanks to the absolutely lovely Annie. She patiently showed my daughter and me how the auto-belay works and how to put on the equipment correctly. Throughout the day, she kept checking in on us with the sweetest smile, making sure we were doing well and had everything we needed. Because of her, we felt incredibly comfortable and safe, and we could just focus on having fun together. We had an amazing time climbing and left super happy. Thank you so much, Annie, for this wonderful experience – we’ll definitely be back!

foreigner friendly; despite the overall aversion Bavaria has towards any language that isn't their own, this place seems to get it. it's easy to get the hang of it and the instructors are competent. not the most hygienic place you can find but if you're okay with a little barefoot action, you'll be fine.

The Astronomiepark Ingolstadt is a well-maintained educational park that offers a serene atmosphere. Located in Ingolstadt, this park is highly recommended for visitors and locals alike. It provides ample seating options and even has an area where dogs are allowed. The concept of an educational park is commendable, and it would be great if more cities adopted such initiatives. Additionally, the park serves as a peaceful resting place for anyone seeking relaxation.
