Manorafon Farm Park in Abergele, United Kingdom is a family-friendly farm offering a variety of activities for kids and adults alike. Visitors can enjoy animal interactions, tractor rides, go-karts, indoor play zones, and more. The farm allows families to feed lambs, goat kids, piglets, and collect fresh eggs from the chickens. Additionally, themed activities are available during Easter.
We had an amazing time here! Was very wet and windy but it was still a great day out. Made many memories that we will cherish and feeding the animals was so fun. We will definitely be trying to make another trip here in the future. Definitely a place to visit 🙂

Absolutely fantastic day out! This is by far the best Farm we've been to. The barrel rides, the raptor slide, panning for gold and pedal carts were all great additions. we spent a full day at the farm and took our own picnic. The highlight was the pig racing, great fun! We ended the day with the 'Summer fiesta' party which the kids absolutely loved. The staff were all fantastic, full of enthusiasm and everyone was so helpful and friendly. Id highly recommend a trip to Manorafon Farm to anyone visiting North Wales.
Rachel L — Google review
Great place for the kids, constantly updating and clearly engaged staff, my only real complaint, and its not just here obviously, is the completely cashless system. Kids got spends for the gift shop and it's so deflating explain why they can't use their pennies. Loads of things to do nice Dino area, I'd say age range would be upto 10-ish to make full use of the place, regular returners that always enjoy it
Stu W — Google review
We had an amazing day at the Farm Fiesta. The kids were busy and entertained every minute as there was so much to see and do. We arrived at 10am and didn't leave until gone 4pm. The animals, playground, attractions, they were all fantastic. If I had one criticism, it would be that there may have been some benefit to more staffing in the 'fiesta' area and an attendant at the 'raptor run' wouldn't go amiss. We had food, play and plenty of fun.
Emma W — Google review
Very reasonably priced considering the amount of fun that the kids can have. Lots of them to do. Some do cost extra but optional. Can very easily spend the whole day being entertained.
Jess C — Google review
Ticket price worth every penny, was the best value for money of anything we did whilst staying in the area. Some confusion over 2 different entry prices online which meant we lost out on the advance discount (we probably should have tried phoning). So much for the kids to do (5 & 8) and never expected them to enjoy a pig race as much as they did. We were there from about 10am-3pm and they loved every minute. Surprised to see some reviews complaining about the price given how much there was to do. Massive tubs of feed and plenty of animals that actually want to eat it. Limited selection of food on offer but it was reasonably priced. The foam party at the Summer Fiesta was a definite highlight. One of the better farm parks we have been to.
Antony W — Google review
What a hidden little gem that was today honestly the most fun I’ve had in ages with the kids we go all sorts of different places and this has really really cheered me up the Halloween fest is coool aswell but I will be back again and again without the Halloween festival Thank you to every one there and all the staff for a really really cool day 🖖🏾🖖🏾🥰🥰🥰🥳🥳🫣🤯☝🏼
Chris R — Google review
Pretty expensive entry for 2 adults and 3 kids £77 !!! Farm area was ok but could do with more animals, lots closed off and work being done on other areas for the summer. Play area and dinosaurs very good, overall good spot to spend a few hours with the Kids but overpriced entry.

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Chirk Castle, a remarkable National Trust property, offers a blend of medieval stronghold and 18th-century grandeur. The estate features well-marked woodland trails for leisurely walks, including dog-friendly paths. Visitors can catch glimpses of the 13th-century castle while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Additionally, the property boasts lavish interiors and an eclectic collection spanning over 700 years of history. Notably, it is the last castle from its era still inhabited today.
We were on our way north and stopped here for a lunch break and a walk on the castles estate. There's a good sized parking lot, even with some spaces providing a bit of shade from the trees. Great for a hot summer day (like it was on our visit). We traveled with our Bulldog, so we just came to enjoy the castle from the outside and to have a walk around the estates parkland. Staff we've met were all very friendly and welcoming. It was built in 1295 as part of Edward I's chain of fortresses across the north of Wales. It was later on demolished in the English Civil War, but then rebuilt. Since 1981 it belongs to the National Trust. And it's a beautiful castle. It's really in a fantastic condition and the land and park surrounding it are well taken care of. There are some small trails around the the meadow and castle and some longer trails to enjoy a bit more of the parkland. Some tables and benches in front of the castle to enjoy a picnic with these wonderful views all around. For another time it's surely worth a re-visit to see the gardens and the inside. It's just really a wonderful place to see and to be. We really enjoyed it.
Alex H — Google review
A proper castle right on the Welsh border with Shropshire. The castle dates from the C 13th but much of the told history dates from the time that the Middleton family moved into the castle in the C 16th. This was during a period of great upheaval of the UK monarchy and government. Most men at the time seemed to be at daily risk of losing g their heads (quite literally) for a misplaced loyalty. The gardens though are the crown jewels of this property, and we were fortunate to visit on a day of good weather.
Gerard — Google review
Not too busy, which made it really enjoyable to explore. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The gardens are beautiful and it’s great that you can take pictures inside the castle too. There are lots of lovely walking paths around, a perfect place for a peaceful day out. It's also a dog friendly too.
Anastasia M — Google review
Lovely 800 year old castle, with stately rooms, an (empty) dungeon, and stunning peaceful grounds. We spent about 25 minutes inside the castle’s 10-12 rooms, 15 minutes in Adam’s tower seeing the empty dungeon and upper rooms (note: uneven steps), and additional time on the grounds. The house has booklets with info in some rooms, along with great volunteers. Nice lunchtime cafe, with some veg options. There is indoor and outdoor seating, though would suggest following the signs to the additional indoor seating as it points you to the tower seating - which has lovely views from the windows and private nooks to eat. Very peaceful property. Used bookstore and shop at the front also worth a stop.
Becky T — Google review
This place makes for a great day out. It’s a nice drive, a stunning castle and the views out over various counties from the bottom of the garden are amazing. The garden was slightly disappointing. Those borders could be amazing, and should be at this time of year. There is too much bare soil and some of the plants need replacing or rethinking but there are pockets of delight. I’ve felt this year, having visited a number of these historic gardens, that the NT is putting lots of effort into the properties but the gardens can appear a little neglected. Nevertheless, a thoroughly lovely place.
Martin N — Google review
The castle changed hands many times in its centuries so any personal history has been glossed over, but certain parts such as Adam's Tower and the dungeon have been well preserved and are educational as well as a cool experience! The grounds are absolutely stunning in any season, which is intentional, and we had a fun day trip to explore the grounds and buildings.
Seriously S — Google review
I’m a support worker and support a young lady in a wheelchair who loves walks and being outside. The staff were super helpful, there’s a shuttle bus with wheelchair access upto the castle. All the gardens are accessible as well as the cafe. Just wanted to say thank you to all the staff who made our visit lovely and stress free!
Issy F — Google review
Beautiful place with stunning views. Most areas of the garden are accessible, the forest area has uneven paths and a pushchair might struggle a bit, not impossible tho ☺️ Great place to run the kids, just be aware of the drop at the end of the garden, it might come as a surprise to some ☺️

Knightly's Fun Park is a small theme park located by the sea, offering rides for all ages. The park uses a credit system where visitors can top up an ecard for a refundable deposit and enjoy various thrilling rides. It's well-maintained and has friendly staff, making it suitable for families with children of different ages. The park also offers reasonable prices and food options, making it a convenient and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Had a great time here on 29/05/24. The rides worked out cheap with the free credits. All the rides lasted far longer than the travelling fun fairs. The staff were all pleasant and the place was very clean. The best fun fair experience I've ever had. Two very happy kids and no bank broken.

Kids loved it here, was something for all ages. The prices of drinks was a little pricey, aswell as the prices for games like hook a duck. Staff on the rides were friendly & helpful.

🎡✨ Knightley’s Fun Park, Abergele – A Brilliant Family Day Out! ✨🎡 If you’re hunting for a seaside spot that keeps everyone smiling, Knightley’s Fun Park in Abergele absolutely delivers. We spent the day hopping from ride to ride and soaking up that classic fun-fair buzz—and it did not disappoint! Rides for every age From tiny toddler rides to keep the littlest ones giggling, through to fast spins and proper thrill rides for pre-teens and teens, the line-up is spot on. It’s easy to build the day up: start with the baby/tamer rides, then step it up to the big ones when the kids (or grown-ups!) feel brave. Food & value All the favourites you’d expect at a seaside fun fair—think burgers, hot dogs, doughnuts, candy floss, churros, chips and more. Plenty of choice and, refreshingly, not overpriced. Ideal for grabbing a quick bite between rides without blowing the budget. Atmosphere Super relaxed and low-key—exactly what you want by the coast. Friendly, chilled vibes with music, sea air, and that classic promenade feel. It’s busy enough to feel lively, but never frantic. Why we loved it Loads of variety so no one gets bored. Easy to spend a whole afternoon (or more!) without feeling rushed. Great mix of nostalgia and modern thrills, with something for every confidence level. Handy tips Arrive with a rough “ride plan” so the kids can tick off their must-dos. Bring a light layer—sea breezes can sneak up on you between rides. Phones/cameras at the ready: the lights and colours make for fab photos! 🌟 Verdict: Knightley’s Fun Park is a fantastic, great-value family day out in Abergele—with rides ranging from cute and gentle to full-on thrills, tasty food stalls, and a chilled seaside vibe.

Just had my sons 5th birthday party at the fair. The rides and food were all included in the price which was nice. The party started at 11am, and they had unlimited rides until 1pm. All the staff were very helpful and everyone had a great time. The fair was clean and the rides were tidy. We will be back next year thank you. Highly recommended 👌
Bovine J — Google review
Knightly’s Fun Park is packed with energy, colour, and good old-fashioned seaside entertainment. There’s something for everyone – from thrilling rides and bumper cars to arcade games and food stalls serving all the classics. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, and the staff work hard to keep things running smoothly. It’s right by the beach, so you can enjoy the rides, then take a stroll along the sand. Great value for a fun-filled day or evening, especially with kids (or if you’re a big kid yourself!).

Traeth Pensarn is a fantastic coastal destination in Abergele, United Kingdom. This beach offers a multitude of activities and amenities for visitors to enjoy. It boasts clean restroom facilities, although there is a small fee for their use. There are also several cafes and pubs conveniently located nearby, providing plenty of options for food and refreshments. The seafront area exudes the charm of a classic seaside resort, complete with various quaint stalls to explore.
Great beach with all the amenities available .clean toilets which you do have to pay for .cafes and pubs close by .the sea front was a proper nice sea side resort with lots of little stalls .we had a lovely time on the dog friendly beach ⛱️..with a great view of the castle in the background .
Linda W — Google review
Good to run the dogs and give them a bit of a swim but be aware there is a very steep pebble beach to tackle to reach the sea. But well worth it. Nice quiet beach.
Katie B — Google review
This isn't my favourite beach, it's all just a bit flat and featureless and covered in pebbles, but on the plus side there's plenty of free parking nearby.
Mr S — Google review
Often visit this beach as quiet and free parking. It seems like a hidden gem. The pebble front is only a short walk to sandy shore. Our dog loves chasing the ball.
Gary A — Google review
Nice Dog friendly pebble beach. I liked that we could park on the beach front and just watch the ocean. Lovely and quiet.
Dawn B — Google review
Lovely stone water front with a train station along side. Lovely caravan park and small arcades. Lovely little village perfect for a holiday or just for a day out. My kids love going
Rach E — Google review
Been coming here for 15 years after I happened to fall upon it one day passing by. Ever since we go have gone when possible. You are able to.park on the beach free of charge, walk along the miles of pebbles or the beach itself when the tide is out. There is a local cafe, amusements and ice cream shop etc nearby and is great for a cheap family day out by taking you own food also. Please do tidy up after yourself though, there have been.times many bits of waste have been left and it not only troubles the oceans but makes the scenic view on the eye less appealing. Feel free to contact me for any further questions of the area.

During the bustling 6-week school holidays, the market was abuzz with activity. Seeking a delightful dining experience, I opted for the market cafe which came highly recommended for its Sunday roast. The tantalizing menu offered a choice between beef, chicken, or mixed roast accompanied by an array of delectable sides such as mashed potato, roast parsnips, peas carrots stuffing and a generously-sized Yorkshire pudding. The gravy made with cider added an exquisite touch to the overall meal.
Had a great day in the sun watching the chariot races. Live music, bar serving a variety of food. A burger van. Nice, different afternoon, although we probably wouldn't do it again.

Great night out at the raceway tonight. Some fantastic and beautiful horses racing with their extremely brave riders. The night will finish with an end of season fireworks display so get the kids down here!
Philip S — Google review
Car parking is £3 the stalls are full of rubbish you might find the odd stall selling thing you might actually need. Tea coffee and food avalible not the best. Just turn up park up go the car boot and stalls then over to the fair. Rides are abit expensive but where isn’t nower days !
DRIVER C — Google review
For a car boot sale why are we booters stuck as far away from the crowds as possible!!! One and only time for me - poor poor poor.
David A — Google review
Very busy on the market. Which is quite normal for the 6 week school holidays. Decided to have our dinner in the market cafe because there Sunday roast had been highly recommended. The Sunday roast which you could have beef, chicken or mixed roast had Mashed potato, roast potato, roast parsnips, red cabbage cooked in cider, peas carrots stuffing and a good sized Yorkshire pudding. The gravy which I'm guessing they used the used cider was to die for in fact the whole dinner was gorgeous and we're definitely having it again. The price £9.95 for adults, £6.95 for kids.

Nestled on Gobowen Road in Oswestry, Fantastic Funhouse is an enchanting soft play center housed in a stunning grade two listed building that was once the Cambrian Rail Works. This vibrant venue offers parents a chance to unwind in a well-furnished coffee shop while keeping an eye on their little adventurers navigating through three exciting play frames, an indoor football pitch, and even a garage go-kart track.
This place is massive. Very nicely equipped soft play areas for a wide age range of kids. My toddler loved exploring everything on offer and we had a lovely afternoon overall. Will be visiting again for sure! Food was lovely as well :) thank you.
Weckulz — Google review
Needs a good deep clean throughout the toilets are filthy and this was at 9.30am in the morning before it got busy, food all over carpet and seating areas. We have been once before and it's still the same so this will be our last visit also there is a lingering unpleasant smell about the place. The only thing It's got going for it is It's a big soft play but needs some serious looking after as it looks tatty in places. Also avoid the coffee! I would not recommend.
Hannah H — Google review
Disgusting. Visited on a very quiet Tuesday afternoon, literally 2 other customers in the building, the place was filthy, not safe for children especially with the amount of mouldy food stuck between the mats, holes in the netting, and thick dust everywhere. Toilets were horrid, food areas were dirty, but staff were polite and friendly. Could be improved so easily with cleaning in the soft play structures, a few repairs and a quick hoover.
Emxfmm — Google review
Visited here yesterday and as stated on other reviews filthy place all round I went to change my toddlers nappy and there was poo all over the changing table and Mat before changing my own I had to clean other babies poo up, Also the food and hot drinks where stone cold had to send them back, Would not recommend this play area. Disappointing…
Erik P — Google review
PLEASE BE ADVISED Disappointing Experience – Not Suitable for All Ages as Advertised We visited this play area last weekend expecting it to cater to children aged 0 to 12, as clearly stated. Unfortunately, it fell well short of that expectation. The facilities are inappropriate for the full age range. Overall, the play area seems suited only for children between 0 to 6 years at best. Luckily we don't need to visit this place again, we only ended up there by case - while passing by.
Eugenia ( — Google review
I got a £85 parking fine for parking here even though there were absolutely no signs or communication form staff to instruct drivers they had to register their vehicle.
Robert T — Google review
I got a strange feeling from this place as soon as I entered. It smells damp and musty. The hot drinks and milkshake were disgusting and were left unfinished. The children had a good run around and enjoyed themselves, but not somewhere we will be visiting again
Sarah H — Google review
Large indoor play centre with lots suitable for mixed ages. Entry fee reasonable and free entry for accompanying adults. Good selection of drinks and snacks in the cafe, meals served too but we didn't have one. Great place for kids approximately £2.50 a ride for todllers the big rides are more expensive but all rides are long and safe. All fun family fun park . You buy a credit card for rides paid for up front. £15 gives 6 small rides. Food is OK too all fresh.

Some machines are broken, such as one of the bowling pins that is unable to be knocked down, and the guns on both of the House Of The Dead clones, but other than that it was a fantastic, fun time. I played pool here several times and I met an amazing woman who taught me how to play. So if you read this, thank you! I will be back for sure 😂 I wish I got your name!

When on our little family holiday, we always find ourselves adventuring inside. While you can spend a mini fortune here, it is a great place to keep the children and some adult's occupied. Staff are friendly and the equipment/games are clean.

Really disappointed and one very disappointed 4 year old. Paid for 3 people and cost 4.50 to play one ball each after constantly getting them to reset it . When we complained they was not prepared to help they told us we had used our goes which we know we hadn't Sadly we watched someone else get there 7 goes but we did not This is hard to write as they were really good to us the night before helping my daughter. I just wish they had the courtesy of to let us have the money back on the card or start again on another lane . My warning is don't use lane one till it's fixed .

I found the staff very warm and welcoming and nothing was a problem to them they all very helpful. It was like home from home. I would highly recommend this amusement arcade. Well done to all the staff in there.

Absolutely love this arcade!!!! The staff are a credit to the place always there when needed making you feel very welcome while keeping the place very clean!!
Dawn T — Google review
Was great, all good arcade games and everything worked, service was great and fast even though there was loads of people, and anything wrong with the machine they'd come straight away to look at it, definitely kept me entertained at night, will definitely go here again
Ryan S — Google review
Good choice of games & the prepayment card is genius but it was very warm inside and smelt like sewage in some parts of the arcades. Burger stand outside is pukka!

Gwrych Castle, located in the picturesque North Welsh town of Abergele, is an imposing Georgian castle with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. The castle and its surrounding gardens are Grade listed and hold significant importance in Welsh heritage. Constructed in 1812, the castle reflects the romanticized Gothic and Medieval past of the nineteenth century.
The castle is beautiful and definitely worth a visit – it has a lot of charm and history. I enjoyed exploring the grounds and the architecture, but I was hoping to see more inside. Unfortunately, you can’t go up into the top towers, which would have made the experience even better. Still, it’s a lovely spot with plenty to admire.

Attended a fabulous private party here. Such a sense of history, with breathtaking sights to be seen. The atmosphere is second to none and the resident sprites are very friendly, cheerfully waving from the battlements. The story of how it came to be preserved and under restoration is particular heartwarming too. A noble cause!

This place is full of history, with beautiful gardens and amazing views all around. It’s really peaceful to wander through, and you can feel the charm of the old castle as you explore. If you’re going because of its link to I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, just know that there isn’t much of the TV setup left to see, but honestly, the castle itself more than makes up for it. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and parking was simple and stress-free.

This was the I am a celebrity castle. The castle has a 25 year restoration plan, the work they have done so far is great and cant wait to go back and see the progress next time we are near. Thought they would make more of a thing around the I am a celebrity there are some small parts which are represented but could do much more. Reasonably priced

Great Castle to go visit, just on the outskirts of Abergele. It's in the process of being renovated, so some parts are finished, some parts are a bit derelict 🤣 The grounds are lovely, with lots of Benches to sit in 👍 I'm a Celebrity was filmed there during COVID, so if you are a fan of the show, you can see it in real life. There is a small Cafe and Gift Shop which is nice 👍 The Entrance Fee is pretty reasonable, although they also ask you to pay to park??

Brilliant Halloween night! Great atmosphere, great "ghosts" and friendly staff. Finished the evening off with an excellent firework display. Really good value for money. Would have been nice to have some more food stalls but the bar was good value too!

A really gorgeous castle on some well maintained grounds. IM A CELEB was filmed here during lockdown and there's plenty of photo opportunity's with some of the original set. Its a very big castle with plenty of nice views and a good amount to read. A great day out if you have a few hours to kill.
