We went for a meal here whilst staying close by. I've awarded 2 stars for the service which was friendly and efficient. It's a quirky little place with a nice atmosphere. However the food is very average considering the price. My starter was nice but my main (vegetable tagliatelle) didn't have much flavour at all unfortunately and I couldn't finish it. At £22, I would expect a better quality pasta dish.

Lovely restaurant food was outstanding, travelled all the way from Lincolnshire to visit friends their recommendation for dinner. Very busy and service was excellent. Menu had plenty of choice very reasonable prices for the quality of the food.

Small tired dingy room..carpets worn and grubby. The shower was easy to use but was really tiny. Our room was on the ground floor and when the windows were open noise from the playground opposite was irritating. Service in dining room was good…Cooked breakfast was ok but rubbery scrambled eggs let it down. Can’t understand all the positive reviews. Its more like a hostel.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday night. We had curry of the day plus pie of the day, both of which were really good. Generous portions and really tasty. Service was excellent too. Would definitely visit again if in Porthmadog.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here for our 5th time. Service was amazing and the food was incredible. The pie of the day came highly recommended and did not disappoint and the specials were lovely too. If you are looking for something special to end you holiday with I would always try this place. Make sure to book, we went on a Sunday and it was lovely to see them so busy.

The 5🌟 is for the breakfast team, namley Eleri + kitchen crew, she runs the service really well, even when busy. And always with a smile. B&B rooms are overall 2/3 🌟 comfy beds but rooms need bit of attention and uplift. Restaurant is mixed 2/3 🌟for me, didn't have the best experience on the night, I wouldn't recommend the vegetarian option untill they charge the menu! I've added the picture of my vegetarian tian main course (before I ate anything) at the end! Sorry but it was just so disappointing at £20+. However, my fiance did get a nice main dish, and they did try you make it right by offering free dessert! But i still left hungry! And again 5🌟 for breakfast team 😋

Went for a family meal for my wife’s birthday. Food was excellent as were the staff, a rendition of happy birthday by staff and other customers was fun and not expected! We all had a great time and crazy food requests by the kids were all accommodated.

Amazing food and exceptional service. This is now our 3rd visit and every time we’ve had nothing but a fabulous evening. Previously, the interior was nice but was lacking something. A year later and they’ve added marble tables with lamps which really brightens the restaurant. I cannot find a fault with the food at all. With all our meats, they were cooked perfectly pink as requested. Presentation just makes it all so exciting! All the staff are polite and always ready to help you with anything you need They have specials on which seem to change frequently so you’re always getting something new. It’s a gem of a restaurant !

Dined here on my birthday as part of a short break. We wanted something special and we really were not disappointed, the food at Y Sgwar was top class. I had the rib eye steak which exceptional with garlic butter. My partner had the Welsh lamb, which again was very good. She was more than happy with the mussles starter, which was not far off a main for quantity. Friendly and attentive service. Would highly recommend.

We had the most lovely anniversary dinner here, the staff were exceptional, so attentive and kind. The food was beautiful, great portion sizes. The prawn bruschetta and Thai cod were exceptional! Great wine selection as well! Thank you Lorraine!

Amazing Food and Atmosphere in Tremadog I had a wonderful dinner at Y Sgwar in Tremadog, North Wales. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You could really tell that the chef knows exactly what they're doing and puts a lot of care and skill into each dish. Every bite felt thoughtful and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the location right in the village square made it even more special. I also loved the soft, beautiful music playing in the background—it added a calm, relaxing touch to the whole experience. If you're in North Wales and want a memorable meal in a cozy setting, I highly recommend Y Sgwar.

Had a fantastic dinner here last night! Service was impeccable, atmosphere was so calming and cosy and the food was beautiful! I had the scallops to start and they were so buttery and light! The chicken supreme for my main which was a perfect portion size and delicious! Then to finish I had the crème brûlée which again, generous portion and so so tasty! All the food was beautifully presented too!! Could not flaw anything!! Thank you to the staff and chefs! ❤️

Wonderful restaurant in the local square that was next to our hotel. We had the grilled lobster, roast lamb and apple strudel. Would order all again. Nice gins and exceptional service.

Totally brilliant place for breakfast. The "popular" one, it's amazing Possibly far too much to eat, will definitely highly recommend without hesitation. Especially if you're staying in the travel lodge, its just round the corner

Such a hidden gem. Due to the location, i assumed it would be a small place. But the interior is so warm and welcoming. Staff and friendly. Didn't expect the portions for the food. The toats were the best I've ever had.

Great little find in Porthmadog. It's on an industrial estate but when you go in, it looks like a high street cafe. We had breakfast there which was well cooked. The coffee is a bit strong but it is from a machine and not freshly made. It had GF options but you pay extra for these, which I haven't come across before. However my partner, who has Coeliac Disease said it was a tasty breakfast. The staff were friendly and the cafe and toilets were very clean.

Food was very tasty and we enjoyed our breakfast. You have to order at the counter and are given your drinks to take to your table. Food is then cooked and brought to you. It was a bit of a wait for food to arrive. We were also seated by the food ordering point which meant we had a stream of people walking around us as they went up to order.

The Rock Café quickly became one of my favorite stops. The drinks were absolutely amazing — super refreshing and full of flavor. I had a coffee that was simply fabulous — smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. I also tried one of their sourdough sandwiches and a bowl of soup, and both were fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, with just the right balance of comfort and flavor. The vibe was warm and welcoming, and I felt right at home. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

We found this place by chance while staying in the area for the week. We’re so glad we did, we ate here 3-4 times. The double espresso was perfect, unlike the many coffee chains these days. The food is all so fresh, I can highly recommend the toasted sandwiches, Homity pie and granola. The toasted sandwiches are HUGE! I had bacon and Brie and the bread is so fresh tasting. Service was also great with good humour. The only slight criticism would be the tables could be wiped more often, but a few crumbs didn’t spoil it at all! Lovely staff, perfect food and something truly different.

Brilliant coffee shop, very welcoming and the taste is really good. The whole café is clean and well-presented. I totally recommend this coffee shop and cappuccinos here. One of the best coffee shops I have been to.

Update: The cafe eventually replied and apologised for the mouldy cake. We were offered a refund or free cake and drinks. When we visited at midday there were no more cakes, so we had donuts instead. These were ok, but nothing special. Original review: We bought vegan carrot cake to take home but discovered two spots of mould on it. Too late to return, we emailed the cafe but they didn't even bother answering. We rang and staff confirmed they knew about the mould but didn't even offer an apology, only said "the owner doesn't live in the area" as if that somehow clears them of responsibility.

We love this cafe!! Best cafe in the area! Best coffee and breads. Big beautiful fresh baked doughnuts, iced buns, sausage rolls and all sorts of lovely Welsh favorites. Friendly staff and such a homely place to sit. Cannot rate this place more highly.

This cafe gives the feel of trying to be a trendy upper end place. Food is OK. Service is crap, customer service leaves A LOT to be desired (except the young guy serving drinks who was the only polite person in there) topped off with clear your own table and leave a tip in a birdbox on the wall. Wouldn't recommend at all. Would fit better on a student campus.

This is a beauty of a coffee shop! We were about to stop in the local Costa and something caught our eye further up the road that looked like a coffee shop. So we ventured a little further and are we glad that we did? Yes we are. The service was excellent. We just happened to be served by the owner who was a brilliant character. The bread, cakes and savoury snacks on offer were exceptional. We had a sausage roll, chocolate cookie, fruit loaf (this was UNBELIEVABLE!), an Eccles cake and some carrot cake. It was all fresh and delicious. The coffee was super fresh and they are happy to make to whatever preference you can throw at them. Our three year old very much enjoyed his kids hot chocolate. If you're in the area and want great coffee, great food and great community, this is the place for you! We loved the added touches of life bringing bible verses and if you want a bit of extra community, they host a bible study a couple of times a month. This is a place that clearly loves it's community and the people in it. The Big Rock rocks!

Nice dog friendly place. Portions sizes are a little small for the price charged. The Sunday roast half chicken is a over priced at 17 quid and it only has a small breast of chicken where the menu advertises a half chicken. Also 3 tiny roast potatoes, smallest mash ever seen on a Sunday roast.

Found ourselves walking into The Ship Inn yesterday, after reading some decent reviews on Trip Advisor. Glad to say we had an amazing portion of Pie and Chips! Best pie we’ve had in a while! Will def be coming back! I Would like to see some Ales on Draught, but that’s me being picky😂

If we could give the food 10 stars we would. The steak and ale pie is huge, with loads of meat and no fat. Really nice gravy. Chips are crisp but not hard and REALLY nice. Chicken Tikka Masala had loads of chicken that fell apart, and the flavour was really good. It came with rice, a poppadom and chutney. Gammon was big and cooked just right. Spinach and Ricotta Canelloni had tender pasta and delicious filling, with lots of sauce. Side order of onion rings was a whole stack! The apple pie was soooo good, and came with a jug of cream….i mean like a whole pot! Staff were all polite, attentive and approachable. A hardworking team of younger people. Atmosphere was relaxed, with a mix of individual drinkers, couples and families. No blaring music preventing you from chatting to each other….although to be honest, there wasn’t much talking when the food arrived!😆 There WAS a bit of a wait for the food to arrive, but it was well worth waiting for. This place is a gem, hidden away from the high street behind a children’s playground and carpark. Just a stone’s throw from the harbour.

Friendly, atmospheric little pub not far from the harbour. Cask ales on sale which tempted me to give it a try. I was not disappointed as they served a well kept pint of Rev James Original. Had to have a couple just to make sure. Cannot comment on the food as we had eaten earlier. Friendly, efficient staff and well worth a visit.

I highly recommend it, we came down from the mountain incredibly hungry and had homemade soup and lasagne for dinner, the food was top quality and done to perfection, special thanks to the chef!

We went here after reading lots of good reviews but unfortunately our experience was not good. My husband, my son and grandson and myself booked a table here while on holiday. I ordered the steak and ale pie, my son had a burger. My husband had half a chicken. My grandson chose fish stars that came with chips, he doesn't really eat chips so we asked for the stars and veg. An hour and a half later our meals arrived with a mumbled apology for the wait. My pie came with a few peas and a little jug of concealed gravy. The pastry was dry and stuck to the rim of the dish and the meat inside was tough. My grandsons was two fish stars and a spoonful of peas. The other two meals were not too bad, by the time we had finished we were so glad to get out of there we didn't notice til we got home that we had been charged 18.95 for my grandson,s two fish stars. Our fault for not checking at the time but as I say we all had numb bums and wanted out of there. I could definitely not recommend this pub.

Dog friendly, bear in mind it’s a small and busy pub. Maybe not for anxious or unpredictable dogs. Monday night late September. Hadn’t planned to eat here but pleased we did. An array of beers that are brewed by Purple Moose. Food excellent and variety good. Staff are all very pleasant, friendly and welcoming. Recommend booking, especially in season and weekends.

Best Bar in Porthmadog, food and ales to die for. Sourdough St Davids Pizza and House Burger were delightful. Then you have the very tasty ales. Don't forget to go on the brewery shop next door to get a bottle or t shirt to take home.

Excellent food and cool beer. I like that they serve small portion meals. I enjoyed the small lasagna with chops and peas. Then, I couldn't resist the sticky toffee pudding which was superb. Also allows dogs in.

The Sunday roast was delayed as the chef was on a break until 5pm, food wasn't great when it came. Lumpy mash, bland Gravy and the potatoes/veg were hard and wrinkly. Roast lamb, although plenty, was cold . Staff looked cheesed off they were busy. Nice place inside and they serve the beers and ciders from the local brewery. Dogs are welcome.

Great food, great beer, and a relaxed evening overall. We booked in advance and had a lovely meal — both kids and adults enjoyed everything we ordered. First time trying Purple Moose beer, and both the stout and High Hops were excellent — even if one member of staff felt the need to tell me the one I ordered was rubbish (I disagreed!). Ordering at the bar caught us by surprise as it wasn’t mentioned when we were seated, but no big deal. One or two staff interactions felt a bit off, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. We'd happily return.

This place was recommended by a friend. What a great recommendation. We had beautiful weather for late September, so sat outside. The seats are roadside(parked cars), but good views over the quay and pretty bay. I drank a lovely cold cider , my partner enjoyed a latte. We both loved the cottage pie, smothered in cheese! Great place, very friendly service, superb food.

This litle café/bistro has a great and buzzing atmosphere. Staff is really lovely, attentive, and friendly. Prices are at a medium range. The decor is beachy and very cute. Here, you willfind an extensive breakfast menu and also some very good lunch options. Enjoy the sea views from the outside seating area.

Pretty basic cafe food in a strange set up - the food is cooked in adjacent building and carried to the cafe on the street outside (through the rain!). This means the door to the cafe is constantly opened, with a stiff draught blowing in. Breakfast menu seemed interesting but dishes themselves were underwhelming

The restaurant has the potential to be amazing, just get rid of the rude staff! We booked over the phone and when we arrived, on time, we were told to hurry up and order as the kitchen was nearly closed. The staff were abrupt, and discourteous. Particularly the woman, who was the double of Morticha from the Munsters, the service was exceptionally rude. Other people came in after we had ordered and they were treated equally as badly. The food was average . Such a shame, given the gorgeous views and delightful atmosphere of the village. The Welsh Tourist Board should give these ladies lessons in hospitality.

This is an absolute gem. Two bistro cafes next to each other with indoor and outdoor dining. A very eclectic menu featuring regular favourites and fusion speciality dishes. Booking recommended at busy times.

A great chippy. An expansive menu, something for everyone. Chips are double cooked and delicious. A large portion of cod. Curry gravy is fantastic. If you’re in the area you need to go.

Amazing fish and chips. We had the haddock and the fish itself was huge along with being lovely and fresh, with light and crispy batter. The mushy peas and fruity curry sauce were also fabulous. Some of the best fish and chips we've ever had and great value too! Would highly recommend!

Amazing food, lovely staff. Frsh chips and even fresher fish which is made to order. Having been to another chip shop earlier in the week " the creel" i can only say chippy Dre is by far superior in every single way, see my review on "the creel" I think places take full advantage of us tourists but not chippy Dre.. great place can't recommend enough

A brilliant chippy, really nice chips! Lots of options on the menu as well as the usual staples of cod and haddock. We tried the cheese box which was lovely and the Thai fish cakes were tasty. We were served by Efa who was efficient and helpful. The chippy is busy (because it is so good!) but utilises a buzzer system. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

This fish and chip shop has always been good. This teatime however was shocking. More batter than fish which was very dry inside. Greasy limp chips. Grease came through the cardboard boxes. We have been using you for 4 years, never again. I am sad to say. Fish and chips isn't a cheap meal anymore. We feel cheated.

The food is always top quality and the chips are one of the best in the UK, the price is reasonable. Only reason it’s lost a star is because when i visited today, they didn’t give us the gravy and peas that we paid for. Other than that no fault found. Amazing!

Decided to give the place a try while out for the day and so glad we did. Its only quite a small place with a fairly limited menu compared to some places however the food was absolutely spot on. Very flavoursome. Service was good friendly fast and spot on. All in all great place so glad we went in and would definitely go back

Excellent food and great service. We came with a large party and felt very welcomed and accommodated. We ordered carbonara and arrabbiata and both dishes were delicious! The cocktail menu is great too! It is a small restaurant so I would recommend booking if you can. Will definitely be visiting again!

The staff was really nice but the food… The burger was tasty at the time but shortly after gave me a bad food poisoning. My husband wings had no marinade on them. Unfortunately we were expecting much more from a restaurant that is 4.6 stars

We found this place on off chance and stopped for lunch. And we were so glad we did. We are foodies and we dropped on a gem here. The carbonara was Devine probably best I’ve had and the pizza was delicious. Both fresh and service was quick and efficient.

Visited the good mood restaurant for my sons birthday and it was faultless.... The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere in this cosy little gem is on point. I would 100% recommend it.....just wish I could pick it up and take it back to South Wales with me

We popped into Marina La Cucina on the back of its location and good reviews. Since it's right by the water you get great views whether you're inside or using the small outdoor space. It was pretty quiet when we arrived but soon filled up. Which was fine although our food did arrive their later orders! Still our meals were tasty, such as the mussels and pizza, without being outstanding. All in all a decent experience with good service, satisfying food and a great location.

Came here today. There's not much room inside to wait for food, but you get a buzzer so you can wait outside. We did want to eat inside, but the seating area was closed off for some reason, so we had to rush back to our accommodation. The food was nice tho and staff seemed friendly so would definitely go back.

We were passing through this town and decided to stop and grab some lunch and we came across creel.....I had panko breaded prawns sweet chilli sauce and chips and my hubby had fishcake and chips and we were extremely impressed everything was fresh and there wasn't a drop of excess grease lovely place would highly recommend ...

Absolutely delicious. We had the lunchtime special, small haddock and chips with a choice of gravies, sauces mushy peas etc. We added onion rings, a pickled egg and a coke and delicious hot chocolate. All in it was £20. All delicious and we couldn't finish it.

This has to be the best value, best tasing fish and chips I've had. £6.45 for their small (which I would class as medium) haddock, with chips and gravy ( you can choose between gravy, baked beans, peas, Irish curry sauce and chip shop curry sauce) All fish cooked to order Was quite busy but got our families food in 12 minutes. The small wait was definitely worth it. Staff were pleasant and if I lived in the area I would certainly make this my regular chippy Fantastic food Fantastic taste Fantastic value Thank you

This was according to my husband's review since I didn't try ... He had a chicken and mushroom pie, mushypea and chips. He loved everything about it.

Probably the tastiest Cod and chips we've ever eaten. Mushy peas were particularly good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We ate inside. Food was cooked to order but we didn't have to wait too long. We've been twice now and the food was very hot and would rate it as excellent. Would highly recommend going to The Creel Fish and Chips.

Stopped for fish and chips. 2 large freshly cooked haddock fillets, 1 reg chips and large mushy peas, all tasted so nice. Fish was of a generous size and white. Batter crisp and fresh. Had we any more room, we would have ordered more. We live 3 hours away, but if we wanted a day trip out with fish and chips, we would consider heading this way. You must try if nearby.

Popped in for a pint and ended up staying for the night. Car park on the doorstep but the best thing? Home made pork scratchings. Had to have a second bowl the chef is Sam a real gent 😎 Cant wish for friendlier attentive staff. Also a dog friendly pub

Amazing meal tonight in a lovely atmospheric pub, a gem in porthmadog. The staff were so attentive and polite and really made you feel at home. 100 percent recommendation. i actually ate here on two nights, each night was perfect the food was just wonderful

As tourists, we visited Tafarn Penceri and were delighted with the experience. They kindly accommodated our group of six on a busy Saturday evening. The food was outstanding—fresh, high quality, and full of flavour. We tried the burger and the beef ragu with pasta, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful. We also loved the outdoor seating area at the front and the balcony, which made the atmosphere even nicer. The only area that could use a little improvement is the indoor space. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the very next day—but it was so popular that the food had already sold out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!

I haven't had food only went for the drink 🍺 Many beers available in the pub -- I've tried Welsh beer. Outside the pub was great and chill with the harbour view.

Fabulous people very friendly with a great atmosphere. Staff and locals very welcoming ready to have a laugh. Dog friendly inside and out. Yummy food and a vast array of drinks. Perfectly located across from the harbour. Will definitely return.

Great pub, drank here both nights on a recent trip golfing. Had the sport on and they were happy to put the Rugby we wanted on when we asked. Had a good atmosphere both nights with a nice balance of ages in there. Even when busy was always served quickly. Defo the best pub I visited in the area.

Really well kept cellar means the cask beers here are exceptional. I'm sure my friends and I nearly drank the bar dry of Bass best. Amazing. Food was of an excellent quality too. Pretty much spent three days here straight. Thanks to all the staff who looked after us. Top marks.

So I’m a tourist from Manchester area and comparing to our ones over there this is actually really good. I was quite impressed it to be honest. My mates ordered chicken and Donna kebab and I ordered the hot shot pizza 9/10. My mates said the kebabs were really nice and they are very generous with the kebab and Donna meat. Overall very nice you pay about £10 per head including chips (no drinks). When my mate ordered the guy on the phone seemed a bit off maybe stressed out and I don’t think they are massively pleasant on the phone but you cannot knock the food and the guy inside the shop seemed alright when we went in to be fair. I would rate it overall 8/10 and the food was delicious thank you. Oh and the chips were great.

Very friendly woman behind the bar, helped us with our doggy pushchair. We chose the Red lion because it was dog friendly and they have a lovely beer garden in the rear of the pub.

My go to for takeout Indian food - Never disappoints - I can wholeheartedly recommend Sima Tandoori. I've also had many a sit-in meal - I must say that the atmosphere is lovely as are the staff.

The Sima was recommended by someone we met on the beach and we too can highly recommend this tandoori restaurant/take away. The meals were delicious, the butter chicken was nice and mild as we requested, and the sides were very good as well. Neil and Juwel were very friendly and generous. Overall: A great meal, though the service needs improvement. Food: The food was delicious. We ordered two chicken curries and they were flavorful and well-prepared. The biryani, however, was just average. Service: The service was a mixed experience. One staff member, a brown male, seemed to be rushing us to order everything at once and hovered over us while we decided. He also appeared to have a poor attitude, making faces when we made simple requests, like asking for small plates. He also failed to bring enough cutlery even after we requested it. In contrast, another employee, a white male who was mostly at the counter, was polite, professional, and provided excellent service. Recommendation: The food is definitely worth the visit, but we hope management will address the behavior of the employee mentioned above to ensure a consistently positive experience for all customers.

We had a 10 night holiday based in Porthmadog and ended up going to Sima 5 times! The first evening they were busy but squeezed us in, the food was so good, both in terms of quality and quantity, that we kept returning. I had a different meal each time and none of them disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic Indian food. We’ve been here for 2 nights. We called in for a takeaway on way home. Absolutely fantastic service. So welcoming. And the food is wow! Customer service superb!

Fabulous. I had a very generous serving of lamb’s liver with chips (fresh and crispy), and apple pie and custard. The prices were very reasonable too. The staff were quick, polite and friendly, all you could want, really. And the tables were really clean, no sticky stuff or wet disinfectant. The only negative is that the salt came out very fast, but that might have been the wrong cellar. They are licensed, if you fancy a tipple with your grub. Great place, and I will absolutely come again.

We were a family of ten out for Father’s Day and had no problem sitting together, we waited approximately 10 minutes but this didn’t bother us as this place is very busy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are two vegetarians in our group and there were a couple of options for them. The majority of us had a roast dinner ( turkey, beef and ham). Every one of us all commented on how delicious the food was. Food was hot and plentiful . We can’t fault this place. The service was excellent and we will be back.

Service was great. Nice welcome. Clean. Food cooked nice. The only thing I didn't like was the bench seating. I'm a large chap. So it's a bit tight between the table and chairs. Normal people don't need to worry. Just us big belly chaps. Maybe it's to stop us from eating to much. Ha ha. So . Price was good. Service was excellent. Food was good.

Wow the food! Great Deli and fabulous restaurant. Should you be in Porthmadog and you don’t pop in for a bite to eat you have missed out on some amazing food with fantastic service. Warm welcome every time Lemon Meringue pie is to die for. The Port breakfast is delicious The black pudding is tasty soft and the best I’ve had in some months. Their home made onion rings also not to be missed So return in 2025 and the breakfast is still amazing with the very best black pudding I’ve ever tasted. Plus their lemon meringue pie is simply to die for

Popped in for a late lunch and was seated quickly. Place was clean and busy, with plenty of staff visible. Lunch for 4 was quick and tasty. I even stopped by the deli counter for some sausage rolls for our journey home (they were delicious) and the cakes looked very tempting.

Atmosphere: Overall when we first arrived the Atmosphere was calm and Relaxed which was great, but later on during my stay a band came in and started playing loud music, it was nice at first but then got a little but repetitive afterwards. It also became very busy when the band came in, but that was expected as in addition to this the football was on. Food: The food was absolutely incredible, I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and it was brilliant. You can tell the staff in the kitchen care about the quality and your enjoyment and they kept it very consistent throughout the evening. Would highly recommend checking out the rest of the menu as there was a great variety of food options for all people from specific dietary needs, picky eaters or people who are vegetarian or vegan as such. Overall food is great for me. Service: Now this was a quite controversial topic throughout my meal, but I want to start with the positives. The staff were very good to us during our meal especially the child workers, If you want to know what I mean by 'children' I mean 13-18 Years of age, because in the U.K Children aged 13 and older may work in establishments like restaurants or cafes if they have something called a work permit, hours and such vary depending which county your in. You can find more information about child employment on your county website, but moving on. The staff were very good constantly checking if we need anything and taking our empty glasses and such. But over to the negative side of things, the food orders were mixed up during the evening because when we ordered we were told our food would come out at the same time, but no. We waited over an hour for our food and when it was served only about two of us got our meals and by the time the rest came out which took an additional 20 minutes we had already finished. Apparently the staff weren't trained in the table numbers so our food which was meant for our table got served to another table, but keep in mind these people came in afterwards and got our food before us, but when the rest of the food was served the person on the other table got their burger as we got the exact same orders that the people received before us, hence what caused the mix up, but basically our food got mixed up with another table. But that's an area to improve on. Overall good restaurant and stay, would recommend coming.

Well deserving of 5 ⭐️’s! Myself and a group of friends visited for my partner’s birthday and we had a great evening! The service was incredible, the staff always checked we had enough drinks and were always more than happy to help. Service with a smile! And the food was just as good. I would highly recommended the mussels, absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be returning!

We were staying at Greenacres in our motorhome and booked a table at black rock beach club for our wedding anniversary tonight. It was perfect… steak night.. 2 steak meals and a bottle of wine for £49 was amazing value for money! The steak was perfect👌…. The staff were attentive… and it’s also dog friendly… we had a lovely evening 🍷

Delicious fish and chips with crispy batter and chips, served with classic tartar sauce and mushy peas. Service was fast and efficient. Orders are placed at the bar, keeping things simple and convenient. Good local beer too.

The fish and chips were lovely – fresh, crispy, and full of flavour. The only downside was that all the indoor tables were reserved, so we had to sit outside. Luckily, the weather was really nice🌞 Despite a mix-up with the order and a few cheeky gulls keeping us company, we really enjoyed the food and the laid-back atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to book the table in advance 😊

Paul and his wife had made noticeable improvements since taking over management. We visit the area yearly and can say it’s one of the only pubs getting better in a difficult climate. Keep up the good work.

Large family group having Sunday lunch. My particular meal wasn't very warm unfortunately, had the Steak and Ale pie on the special menu and pastry was tough. Others in party enjoyed their meals, except roast potatoes, non of which were great. Service was excellent and pub itself is lovely inside and nice atmosphere. We have been before and all had great meals, so may have been an off day.

Absolutely outstanding sunday lunch. Perfectly seasoned and freshly prepared produce on the premises. Hats off to the chef who clearly understands flavour and flavour combinations. Really cannot fault it. Staff were lovely and also knowledgeable on what they are serving, describing precisely how the chef made a particular dessert. Y Banc is definitely one to watch.

Wonderful food, really excellent find for the area. Brilliant flavours, generous portions, kind and caring staff. Buzzy atmosphere and really delicious wine. We had a Rioja that was delicious with the porky dishes we ordered. The pork belly dish was sooooo good!!

As stated in other comments seems a little bit overpriced for what it is. As you can see the duck breast is actually some bit of breast!!! The taste was good and the staff really nice. I have seen some comments of been slow wasn't the case but was only 3/4 tables at that time

We visited the newly opened ‘Y Banc’ in its first few days of opening. The restaurant bring new life into Porthmadog, with stylish surroundings and a different way of dining. We had a sneaky peek and saw the private dining area which is the refurbished strong room, complete with a giant safe and original banking signs. We had a table for two and had the gorgeous bread appetisers along with the pan con tomate, which is one of my favourite dishes when we go to Spain. To follow my partner had black pudding and beetroot toquitos, marinated beef steak and Menai mussels which he said where to die for. We shared mushrooms and patatas bravas. I had the vegetable paella, smoky chick peas and tandoori spices cauliflower with homemade mango chutney. We were rather full, but we did leave room for desserts, namely churros with chocolate sauce and the lime mousse. I have dietary requirements and I am pleased to say, the menu was clearly labelled and the staff happy to answer questions as to allergens. We pop down to Porthmadog fairly regularly, so this will make a nice change from the usual pub grub when we get into town.

We had a great experience in here. Delicious food and very friendly staff. We ordered 12 tapas for 4 people. Duck, oriental pork and chickpeas were the best 😋 I give only 4 ⭐ because smaller portions and more expensive in compare to another tapas place we visited two days earlier

We chose this hotel as we were going to a wedding at Portmeirion, which is approximately 3 miles away. Set on the High Street, which was pleasant to walk along. The room was comfortable, the restaurant had a variety of dishes and very tasty. The breakfast was varied. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel and friendly staff. Lovely bar and restaurant. We had breakfast which was good. Downside was the room. We were put in room 7 in the courtyard, as soon as we walked in the smell of wet dog was incredibly strong. We kept the door and window open but it did not go. The double bed also on the left side slopped so felt like I was going to fall out however it was comfy. The smell of dog is as strong as ever this morning. I have reported it as it’s very unpleasant.

Dropped in to have a cold drink and read for a while on a hot day. Very welcoming people, comfortable and nice and cool! And my beer was good. Well worth a visit if you are nearby.

My son stayed at this hotel for six nights while completing a placement with Ffestiniog Railways. His experience was wonderful—from the warm hospitality to the delicious meals, everything was top-notch. He was genuinely well looked after during his stay. After checking out, the housekeeping team found that he had accidentally left behind a calculator and a book. They promptly contacted me via email and went the extra mile by arranging to return the items through a courier. I'm truly grateful for their thoughtfulness and outstanding service. It’s rare to find such attentive and caring hospitality, and it left a lasting impression on us both.

We much appreciated the disabled parking space reserved for us. The room would have scored 5 stars but for the lack of carpets. Excellent breakfasts and helpful staff. Good location.

What a lovely hotel. A family run establishment with family values. Lovely food and such friendly staff. Comfy bed. Perfect location for our day at Portmierion. Porthmadog is a nice town with lots of shops selling local arts and crafts.

Worst food I've had. We were put on a table where there was one bulb working. All the others lights were out. We asked for the lights to be put on and Nathan told us they didn't work. I didn't say that wasn't great for the start of the season. We asked to move tables because no-one wants to eat in the dark. I like to see what I'm eating. We were told no. There were plenty of empty tables. While waiting to place our order, the table behind us complained their food wasn't hot enough and it was returned to the kitchen and placed in the microwave. This is when we should have left. Food was tasteless. Chicken so tough. Didn't get what we ordered as apparently they told us they didn't have it. They didn't. Why would we lie? Nathan made us out to be liars. Something we are not. The supervisor was like it was never available to order. Also not very hygienic, a dog was jumping up at the bar and the supervisor and bar lady both stroke it and not one of them washed their hands before continuing to serve. We always go to the restaurant on the first night. Never again. The service others got was far better around us due to them being owners and us holidaymakers. We used to own a caravan on Greenacres. Everyone should be treated equal regardless.

Obligatory star Worst lunch out ever! Mixed grill with no egg or ribs as shown in the picture that's extra so if you want it as it's advertised that's £27+ for one plate! £15 for a chicken burger and fries with a paper cup of slaw and kids pizza without the cheese! Food looked nothing like the images and was very poor standard, staff dropping plates swearing and stomping off home. No burgers as they're on the truck can't get them yet no idea when🤔 Male staff said no I cannot have crispy chicken instead of chargrill something about it messing up stocks for the things they don't have, female staff said yes of course! Food arrives looking nothing like the images and definitely not £20 worth of mixed grill tiny piece of steak bacon passed off as gammon and one mushroom, expectation Vs reality pictures, save yourself a fortune and eat elsewhere!

Came in today as our first day getting to the park and were peckish after a long drive and their menu looked good from the pictures , However what we got was no good. First of all we ordered 3 chicken burgers and 2 kids pizza , one pizza was supposed to be pepperoni but we were told they were all out and drinks , one of which being a £3.30 swap drink which came without the fizzy snake inside , guess they were out of them too 😂 , fair enough , fast forward 20 minutes, food comes out , yes before our drinks , kids pizzas were dry, and our burgers didn't come with onion rings as stated on the menu, house slaw came in a paper pot , yes like the ones for Macdonald's sauces , unbelievable portions. Fast forward another 10 or so minutes , we're almost finished with our meals when our drinks arrive , absolutely crazy service. Would not recommend

Went in for a coffee and wouldn’t go back. At first it looked okay, but after sitting down I noticed the carpet hadn’t been hoovered in what looked like months — it was full of dog hair (and I have a dog myself, so I know that wasn’t just a few days’ worth). The windows hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the whole place just felt a bit “unloved.” The campsite itself was actually fine, but I’d avoid this bar/pub if you care about cleanliness or hygiene.

Absolutely shocking! Do not go here. Large table of 8,only 6 eating. We booked here for ease on the first night, what a massive mistake. Long wait on food,only 3 meals turned up, to be told the other 3 meals were just being warmed up! 20minutes later and chasing in the meantime to be rudely spoken to, other 3 meals turned up,2 meals were cold so 2 of the party went without a meal,other meal was watery and not very inviting. Manager tried offering free desserts but we refused and got a full refund on all 6 meals. To add,menus were sticky too. Checked online and haven’t even got a food rating so does not fill me with hope at all. I think all meals are microwave meals or just out of the freezer.

Booked table earlier in day and the turn up at 5pm to be told no carvery. Had to order off a limited alternate menu. The rice was certainly not soft and fluffy and had to leave it as not edible Shame really it detracts on what is generally a nice holiday site. For £37 not value for money

Felt so sorry for the front line staff here who in one case was driven to tears from the number of complaints and angry customers she was fielding. What a poor management team who run this place, they should be ashamed of themselves to leave staff in these situations, absolute incompetence. Items missing from meals, very long waits all for below average food. Looks like they use table service to keep the numbers down as the kitchens can't cope. Very poor indeed. I doubt the management gives a toss captive audience and all that. Just look at the ratings this place has and give it a wide berth. Just go somewhere off the camp, you will not regret it. At least you won't have dodgy guts after.

We had balti chicken and garlic duck chicken. The food and service were definitely ok. Normally I avoid giving 5 stars, but seeing some of the harsh reviews I will make an exception as the service and food was super.

I ordered a takeaway as the wife doesn't like Indian food. The restraunt decor was lovely. The staff were smartly dressed and polished, very welcoming and could not do enough for you. I saw inside the kitchen and the staff were working hard all in uniform. The manager obviously has an eye for detail as everything g looked good. I am also pleased to say the food was fantastic. This is better than any Indian restaurant around my way. The Chana Aloo was divine. Loved it. Tikka massala beautiful flavour. So pleased I tried this restaurant.

Absolutely brilliant! This is the 2nd Indian takeaway I've had while I've been staying in the area from different restaurants... The difference was massive... Night and day! From the staff, the restaurant itself as well as the customer service, can't fault it! And now the food... Chefs kiss!! Great size portions, gave me free poppadoms and dips... And the flavour... Best curry I've ever had, and I've been around and had my share! Highly recommend if anyone wants a fantastic meal, takeaway or eating in. Also very reasonably priced!

What a gem of a restaurant this was. We hadn't booked but the staff were amazing. The great waiter which served us was so funny, professional but also very quick. The service and food were absolutely excellent. Nothing too much trouble and explained everything. We even got a free baileys at the end of the night. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The great thing was the atmosphere was buzzing. Really had a great evening. Thank you to all the staff. We'll definitely eat here again when we visit Porthmadog. Can't believe this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars

A great meal out for myself and 7 year old. The food was generous and beautifully cooked, not too spicy but very tasty. The service was top notch and the waiter kindly persauded my son to eat and try something new, for which I 'm hugely grateful. Not expensive, speedy service and great food, what's not to like!?

Bought two turkey, stuffing and cranberry baguettes to go. If you get the opportunity do have one. Baguettes were fresh and tasty and the filling was generous. No skimping here. Absolutely delicious. Hope to visit again before we go home.

Such a lovely little cafe with great service, a good menu, and some gluten free options! The latte I ordered is very smooth and me and my partner adored our food.

Went two days in a row on holiday. The sandwiches are stunning and the bread is lovely crusty baguettes with a bit flour on top, almost ciabatta style. The coleslaw is to die for, if you like home made coleslaw. The staff aren't very smiley, but it could just be the way the people are here. Not sure. Will defo go back if we come down this way again.

Ordered fish n chips...only wanted sm portion of chips so asked for a cone size. Cooked to order and a large portion for the money...£8.50. The chips were scrummy...the fish was fresh , but the batter was not crispy as I'd prefer. However for the money it was fantastic value. The staff including the grumpy woman (she's not...she's just doing her job in a hot environment with probably some rude customers often!!) were all great and my order was ready in 5 mins. I think previous reviews have been misleading...this is good food in a place where there's not a lot on offer. I am staying at greenacres but their reviews for fish n chips are always bad so will not buy from haven. Hope this helps you choose where to buy

Would you like some chips with your grease? They was all stuck together and eating them they left a lining of fat in your mouth 🤢🤢 Battered sausage hmmmm..... Not a lot of batter and the kids bit I to them and found a load of grease in them it was not a nice meal at all

The only place I buy fish and chips. The chips are always spot on as are the other things we have tried from their menu. It's absolutely true that I have no chip shop locally that is anywhere as good as this within 10 miles of my home, so when we holiday here we always get our fill while we can.

Worse and most expensive fish & chips I've had in all my life !!! Not to mention the service. The woman who served me never smiled and never spoke. It felt like you were in a concentration camp ! When I took my Fish & Chips home, the fish wasn't cooked properly and the chips were hard and tasted sweet. Only afterwards I realised I had payed £10.80 for Fish & Chips which were inedible. I know prices have gone up but £6.50 for a fish and a whopping £4.30 for chips. Writing this in-between throwing up. My advice is AVOID AND GO ELSEWHERE !!

Not great for the money chips had been sitting in the draw to long and were soggy and the sausage in batter had been sat way to long and was hard and dry. Make sure you ask for freshly cooked stuff

We are on a family break , ( 9 or us in total ) it was round about 7 when we arrived in the caravans Thought we would pop chippy closes at 8 we went 7:15 7:30 , wow the looks when we walked in the moaning the houghs and puffs , just horrible Wouldn’t mind but it was nothing to complicated just food that was there 🫣 We spent £55 pounds in total , never ever will we go back , you really do not deserve customers . Shocking service

We are here for the Bank holiday weekend and went for dinner at Nomi Indian Restaurant and each dish was absolutely delicious and I can’t remember having such a delicious Indian meal. I’d highly recommend eating here. You won’t regret it!

Modern Indian restaurant in a former bank building (you can even eat in the former vault!). We took friends, and all four of us enjoyed great food and great service. We booked in advance, and Nomi was 90% full when we were there. We had a great evening, and will surely return.

Service was fantastic and friendly waiters etc. Quite pricey but the food was delicious, lamb shank big enough to share and the mango chicken starter was great. Would recommend, nicely decorated

We discovered Nomi in Porthmadog completely by accident - what a remarkable find! Taking our elder grandchildren out for a meal, we were delighted that even our granddaughter, who can be quite choosy with food, absolutely loved the place. We began by sharing the Mango Maple Chicken and Cashew Crusted Prawns as starters - both were absolutely delicious! For mains, our granddaughter ordered the Punjabi Butter Chicken with garlic naan and simply couldn't get enough of it, while our grandson thoroughly enjoyed his Prawn Moilee. We opted for the Lamb Malabar, complemented by Kartik's Dal Makhani and the Smoked Aubergine Bharta Vegan. All three dishes were absolutely divine - highly recommended! It's worth noting they have two other sister locations across North Wales with the same menu, so we fully expect them to be equally brilliant

I had an excellent experience at Nomi Indian Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of rich, authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The spices were perfectly balanced, making each bite a treat without being overpowering. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys genuine Indian cuisine — I’ll definitely be coming back

Modern twist on your classic Indian fare. Generous portions, very tasty food, a good choice of vegetarian options. We had a main each, enjoyed our generous portions. Tried their fennel and maple naan, yummy. We had a pudding each as well, homemade cheesecake and ice-cream were both beautiful. Friendly staff, clean venue. I'm not sure if I like the decor and the music, it feels more like a generic cocktail bar than an Indian restaurant. They don't serve hot drinks, which is quite unusual.

This incredibly busy Chinese takeaway only restaurant sits at the centre of Porthmadog and boasts a varied menu of all occident-adapted Chinese dishes under the sun. Even though the staff is nice and efficient I wasn't holding my breath for the meal, but that was a mistake on my part. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the black bean sauce with the beef and green peppers, I was intrigued by the complex flavour profile of the prawn and chilli dish, as well as by the generous amount of prawns in said dish. The Chow Mein noodles were functional but nothing to write home about, the egg fried rice I am afraid to say was the weakest link in an otherwise strong chain. If you want to eat in the premises you can, there are plenty of tables and chairs, so that's good to have in mind.

It was one of our best experiences of Chinese restaurant and take away. The food tastes delicious and the service is top notch. Truly a wonderful time and would love to come back here again. This is the best Chinese food in Wales definitely!

We had a takeaway this week when we stayed in porthmadog. They were so friendly, good prices and rhe food was lovely. It was all fresh and hot. Will definitely go again when back in porthmadog Would definitely recommend

Food and portions pretty good however hygiene doubtful. We ordered a mix of fried chicken dishes, satay, starters and a couple of chow meins. 3/7 adults and one dog were ill with diarrhoea that night.

Got a takeaway while on holiday, service was a little slow, however food was brilliant, really tasty and well cooked, couldn't fault anything. Highly recommended.

Worst chinese takeaway we've ever had. Spent £90 as a family treat. Threw most of it away. Meat and prawns hard and chewy. Curry sauce was watery and bitter. Expensive lesson learnt.

A beautiful hotel, amazing breakfast and evening dinner. We even had grab and go breakfast bag which we loved when we had to leave to visit places. You have castle nearby which we will miss the crows! Beach is so beautiful here and loved it there! Thank you for amazing week to celebrate our first anniversary. You guys are so friendly and did amazing job with the hotel and everything.

My hubby booked this stay as a surprise and oh boy it was lush as they say , the manager was lovely nothing too much trouble and the staff so helpful. Everything you need under one roof food ,drink , lovely people, so helpful rooms amazing, my hubby moans about not sleeping in his own bed but can say he slept like a baby he said bed was better than his own xx lovely place we will be going again x big thank you too everyone who made our stay lovely 💖

Booked to see Harlech castle. £100 for one night was not on the cheaper side… but it was worth every penny. The service was brilliant. With breakfast included, they asked us if we were in a rush to leave in the morning(which we were), they made sure to leave a small bag of assorted foods at our door so we could grab them as we left. We stayed on a Wednesday, which was incidentally a Quiz night at the Pub. As younger people we stood no chance against the more experienced, but we gave it a go. We lost by over 15 points… Before the trip was booked, I noticed the Queen’s Hotel had won Channel 4 Show “Four in a bed”. We did not book because of this, but the charisma of the owners Liam & Rachel made it obvious why and how they had won the show. They are passionate about their craft. We watched the show during our stay and the price nor the passion had changed! We had a brilliant stay, very welcoming and warm pub with great staff and nice local ale.

Rachel and Liam were the perfect hosts. We have been to Wales on multiple occasions and this trip was by far the best we've had. Me and husband steve stayed here for 6 nights. The room was immaculate and very clean well stocked with teas, coffee etc and even a treat jar. If we ever needed anything the Liam and Rachel were more than happy to restock and freshen our room. Class A breakfast and evening meals made to perfection. The atmosphere was as if home from home so relaxing, warm and friendly staff, lovely beer garden. Liam gave us really good suggestions on places to visit and sightsee. Myself and steve would highly recommend this hotel one of the best we've stayed in.

We could not fault this hotel and staff. 5 stars, spacious room, comfy bed, great service and tasty breakfast! Brilliant stay. 👍😊

Without prejudice or detriment. I was and still am disappointed at being deceived by the above Queens Hotel. It is sad to be told that they are four in a bed winners when in fact they were only joint winners. In addition one of the competitors even bailed out so they only ended up with two to compete against and not the usual. It's pityful that someone has to bluff their way into a successful TV programme. So if you get to see the treasured plaque it's false in true representation...

Lovely gardens, pleasant bar area, only had drinks. Staff attentive and friendly. Next door to train line but didn't interfere with our evening.

Good variety of safe GF food - chips, fish fingers, chicken strips, chilli con carne etc. like a normal takeout by the sea which is lovely as normally they are not usually available to us. Was able to walk to the sea front and eat without the need for sitting in a cafe/shop and spending lots of time and money.

Fantastic home cooked food, and best value takeaway around. Chips are second to none. Both the burgers and curry are top drawer

DO NOT eat here the curry sauce was awful and the fish was hard and inedible inside but unfortunately this was not the worst… the sweet corn fritters when opened up had black and white material inside looking like mould…!!! Unfortunately I’ve eaten several before noticing even though they were tasteless to begin with awaiting to see if I have foo poisoning from the fritters hygiene also seemed REVOLTING

I went to this chippy as my son knew the lovely lady working in there. The chips here at Madog were delicious. Unfortunately the fish was frozen and burnt. I do not recommend. Totally unacceptable,lady tried to make excuses, eventually said she would give me back my £10 for both fish . The burger bought by a friend was not much better. Lunch totally spoilt, would never purchase from there again.

This is not Michelin star cooking, but it’s pretty good for the price. Staff was very friendly and efficient.

If you haven't tried their curry sauce, then what are you doing?! Deliciously sweet with mountains of flavour, and an absolute treat with chips. Definitely will be coming back if in Porthmadog. Blasus iawn! 😋

What an absolute hidden gem Myself and three friends were lucky to enjoy an absolutely fabulous meal last night at the Thai Harbwr. None of us had been here before and one had never had Thai food in her life. It was easy to find down a side street, but I must admit the front door was a little off putting as it had a white metal security covering the whole window so you couldn't see in (being tucked down a side street that would be necessary). But putting that aside and opening the door you are greeted by a cosy and spotlessly clean little restaurant (they call it a cafe but I think restaurant is a better description. There is a takeaway section to the Right and the main seated area is to the left. It's wonderful to see the kitchen area as it's open to the restaurant so you are able to view the hustle and bustle and smell the gorgeous aromas before you even see a menu. We had booked a table for four but were able to select which table we wanted as it was quite quiet (I've read some reviews where the place is super busy so I'd still recommend you book). We ordered drinks (the alcohol free beer was lovely and 50p cheaper than a Diet Coke) and perused the menu, there were so many different things to try it took a few minutes to pick. I went for the Thai Spicy Chicken and Sweetcorn Cakes to start and my friends opted for the Chicken Satay (x2) and Mini Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls. The food arrived swiftly and the first thing that took our breath away was the presentation, and the size of the portions. I could easily have had mine as a main it was that generous. My Chicken and Sweetcorn Cakes were to die for, fabulous texture and flavour and piping hot I'd go back just for them. My friends all enjoyed their choices and there were clean plates all round. On to the main courses which again arrived swiftly (but with enough gap from the starters that you didn't feel rushed). I opted for the Thai Style Deep Fried Chicken Thigh Marinated in Chef's Special Sauce, and my friends went for the Pad Thai Noodles, Duck Curry with Sticky Rice and Stir Fry Seasonal Vegetables with Jasmine Rice. Again all the dishes were beautiful and tasty and there were clean plates all round. My three chicken thighs were huge and although they were deep fried they weren't oily and the chicken in side was so so tender. My only negative (and it's only to do with my own naivete) is the sticky rice was a solid disc of rice, I was expecting it to be sticky but loose, would it stop me eating there again? ABSOLUTELY NOT I'd just opt for a different dish and have jasmine rice or fried rice instead. I have read reviews where people speak of the desserts and ice cream but this didn't seem to be something offered on the night we were there, but that's OK we were pretty full. All in all we had a very very pleasant dining experience, the atmosphere though quiet was great as we got to hear each other speak. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was divine. I'd recommend booking a table opening that off putting looking door and experiencing the delights of Thai Harbwr yourself.

We were incredibly impressed by this Thai restaurant, myself and my partner eat a lot of south East Asian food and have done a fair amount of travelling in the area and we were stunned by the quality and quantity of the food, the Massaman in particular was one of the very best we’ve encountered. We came with family who have rarely eaten Thai food and they were delighted by the size and taste of their meals, so you may have two new converts. Staff were friendly and attentive. We’d go back in an instant!

A delicious Thai dish restaurant, with dishes as great as if you were eating them in Thailand yourself! Able to customise your curry if you fancy it a bit spicier! The prawns in the penang curry were massive and plentiful! Didn’t have the Thai fried chicken, but everyone around us did and it looked incredible! Will be back for then! Would 100% recommend visiting! Staff are also a kind and helpful, even on a busy evening!

Ate at the Thai Harbour Porthmadog tonight.... was the best meal out in a long time. Vegetables were so fresh and tender. Was served more food than i could eat. We all were. Very ample meals. Rice lovely and fluffy too. The lady chef came out to our table to advise on levels of spice.. so I changed my choice and was so happy with her recommendation. Will take our next visitors for sure. Very happy customers this evening and glad to have found a more than very decent eatery. Staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful too. Thanks.

Fantastic. Stumbled across this restaurant on a Sunday evening and just in time for a meal deal. All of us were as full as eggs from the generous portions. Super flavours, great service. Couldn’t say if it authentic flavours as I’m not a connoisseur but a wee taste of every dish our group ordered didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend this restaurant. Well done the whole team.

Very tasty food at a very good price - especially the offers before 6 pm. The food is beautifully presented, large portions and delicious. Absolutely worth it.

£10 for fish and chips on the Wednesday offer. Was decent had better, had worse. Portion sizes where generous and food came hot and quickly.

Visited cooks of Pwllheli in haven on 15/03/25 ordered a kids sausage and chips. Extremely disappointed £6.99 for a small sausage and 12 chips. Awful portion size. Avoid.

Very bland and doesn't taste fresh. I know why. Very very small fish for £9 and very small portion of chips for £5 this was £25 😵 everywhere else in the park is reasonably priced and tastes ok.

I ordered sausage and chips for collection at 6.15pm. I walked in at 6.10pm and my order was already cooked and bagged! £7.58 for a meal that wouldn't have filled up a child and my receipt had the word delayed on it. Very very disappointed

Please save your money and avoid here. Such extortionate prices for very little food. The chips were quite nice but the fish was terrible. We asked for two fish and chips. It looked like they'd taken an already skinny fish and split it into two (thank goodness I didn't ask for 4 fish). You can accept high prices if the quality is good, but this fish was so thin that the ends had dried out before the middle had cooked. Very disappointing as it could be so much better. We'll never be returning here.

Would rate a zero if I could. Just ordered 4 x fish and chips 4 x curry sauce and 2 x sausage and chips. £60. Absolutely disgusting. The fish was smaller than a usual 'mini fish' over £8 for a fish smaller than the palm of my hand. Curry sauce was like ready mixed concrete. Complete waste of money. Still starving and £60 down and a bad taste in my mouth! AVOID!

Never again, don't waste your money. This is supposed to be a large fish and chips, we've had better at other resorts and it's not worth the £21 I've just paid. The batter is like pancake mix and it's over cooked, got mushy peas and curry to go with it and instead we got gravy. Staff need to wash their hands before serving customers and handling food especially when you've just come in from outside and hung your coat up. It's had to go in the bin it's that bad 👎

We stopped here as we were trying to find a place for breakfast sandwiches as we headed out of Porthmadog. We came across Emilia's at the end of the rust and we're so thankful that we did. We had bacon and sausage baps and they were delicious! Gorgeous bread and the bacon slices we're so thick, and the sausages were of good quality. The latte's were also lovely, good coffee, friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Excellent sandwich shop. One to visit again. Best bread I've had for a while. Muffins are to die for. Had the raspberry and white choc muffin and lemon and poppy seed muffin top notch. Tea also nice. Staff can't do enough for you. Very reasonably priced too.

We ALWAYS visit this lovely shop when visiting family in Wales. The staff are always so friendly, plenty of sandwich choices (vegetarian friendly too!) and portions fit for a king. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Porthmadog.

We popped in today for some lunch to take to the beach. We all had a different selection. Each was made in front of us, in a very clean area. The staff were friendly and chatty. We paid (reasonably priced) and headed to the beach. We tucked in and all 5 of us were very impressed with our sandwiches. We will definitely return to Emilia's again when we return to Portmadog. Highly recommended.

After looking at the reviews, we decided to try Emilia’s for lunch in our days out in Wales. The best sandwich we had. Friendly and really a must have if you are in the area.

Would not recommend to anyone. Waited well over an hour for our food. There were 9 of us in the party. Steaks were nor cooked the way we asked. Mixed grill was abysmal chicken was very dry, gammon was so thin and hard, steak was OK. The pulled pork was dry and had no flavour. Southern fried chicken was more like breaded chicken, no seasoning or flavour. The burger and scampi were tepid, only good thing was the peas. The 2 children's meals were OK. Were told that we should have booked such a large party. My daughter went out of her way at the beginning of the week to find out if we needed to book and was told no. This meal was suppose to be a big finish to our holiday 😕 😫 more a damp squid. Will not visit again and we will not recommend 😒 the place to anyone.

Ate here tonight first and last visit, we were on the verge of walking out without even eating we waited that long, we waited over an hour and a half for out food, a table who came in after us got served before us, I ordered a very overpriced Sirloin, asked for rare it came medium, my mom ordered a medium/well done Rump, it came out rare, so we swapped, the mixed grill was a joke, the gamon was burnt and to be honest I've had thicker bacon, the chicken was rock hard and so dry it couldn't be eaten, southern fried chicken was dry and no flavour, the scampy came out luke warm, the peas were the best part of that meal, the new yorker burger was luke warm too, every meal was so overpriced, noone even came out to check on us and ask us if everything was OK with our meals, no care put into preparing the food, they just want the money, last evening of our holiday, we'd been looking forward to it all week, so disappointed!!!! We always have pudding but didn't bother tonight so so disappointed!!!

Me and a friend dined here last week. Had a mixed grill asked for steak medium rare came out well done and chicken was very dry. Very dissapointed. Prices to high £16.99 for mac and cheese? Absolutely ridiculous and wasent even enjoyable. Would not recommend

Absolutely atrocious. Less smokehouse, more throw it in the microwave house. 6 of us ate and we paid for three meals. We don't mind paying high prices for good. This was far from good. Please don't bother.
