Port Sanary sur Mer is a picturesque old harbor that boasts a natural creation always bustling with colorful sailing boats, once used by fishermen. The vibrant atmosphere attracts tourists who enjoy watching the boats and soaking in the unique charm of the port. Families find it to be one of the most popular ports due to its numerous attractions, restaurants, and activities for kids, such as carousels and slides.
Very beautiful port. Beautiful path to walk around. During the Christmas season, the boasts are lit up with lights form evening time. Great atmosphere.
Pavan B — Google review
Beautiful place, great harbour area with cafes and shops and also a very nice open market. The great Jacques Cousteau's family home is here, what a lovely spot overlooking the harbour and out to sea. Highly recommend a visit here, also has a very nice old church.
Howard J — Google review
What a cool and relaxed place to be , the whole port area has restaurants galore all with a great people watch facility to them . Massive car park at the port but has a height restriction so high vans will not get in , there are plenty of fashion shops around the same area . Definitely worth a visit .
Aidan M — Google review
Easy booking via Navily, perfect communication in English and French, great support for docking and other assistance. Nice village in short walking distance.
Konstantin P — Google review
A delightful fishing town with beautiful fishing boats, cafes and a wonderful fresh produce market that has a wonderful array of locally grown fruit and vegetables, olives, garlic, local cheeses and freshly caught daily seafood. I encountered friendly and helpful service.
Andy J — Google review
One of the most visited ports ( more like parcs) we are going with the kids. The are plenty of attractions, restaurants and rides for the kids, carousel, slides, etc. Many activities organized most of the time especially in the summer time. If it happens to be around after 15 August you have, most likely, the opportunity to enjoy one of the traditional, yearly, fireworks. A big parking and a good place to visit when in town. Old wood boats offer a very memorable experience. Have fun.
Stelian N — Google review
Beautiful little port town. Lots of little seafood restaurants lining the waterfront, with various shops (though not touristy) interspersed. A delicious pastry shop, several ice cream stores and boat rental. Also have some tour boats and in the morning the fishermen offer their catches right there in the dock.

Park
ZOA Parc is a delightful animal and botanical park that welcomes visitors of all ages throughout the year. The park boasts an impressive collection of nearly 300 animals, diverse plant species, and beautiful flower gardens from around the world. Visitors can participate in various workshops such as the 'Weekend on the Farm' and explore playgrounds, an exhibition hall, and dining areas. It's a popular destination with friendly staff, clean facilities, and fun learning opportunities about animals.
Wonderful Zoo Park and botanical plantes. Really lovely for kids and adults. We had a lovely time their this December 2021. It is clean, peaceful and fun facts to learn about the animals. The staff at check-in and at the restaurant are very friendly. Mega thanks to the lady at the restaurant who prepared a perfect special burger for me. It was delicious!! A playground for the kids midway through visiting the Park and conveniently located beside the restaurant. And you can buy pop corns to feed some of the animals. Highlight of the visit for the kids😍 As for the animals they look well looked after. In captivity the environment is always too small however big it is. But this zoo really makes very good effort. Definitely going back with family and friends.
Kendy O — Google review
To start the parking is free and a little limited. You might end up parking up the raid due to space issues. So visit early !! Visited today with my wife and two daughters and have a wonderful time during our visit. They have a good selection of animals to view and even a little petting section with goats, sheeps, pigs and some donkeys which was a lot of fun ! Overall we had a very pleasant visit, just wish 11 wasn't the limit for child to adult as it cost just under 60 to visit for the four of us. Why don't they have a family discount type thing !
Thomas A — Google review
Great little zoo, with lots of animals. It seems that it's a very popular place as we were on a Tuesday, around 12PM and it was pretty crowded. You can buy popcorn at the entrance to feed the goats. Also, there is a big food area, we're they serve burgers and fries, beverages and some kids food I cannot remember. Go visit if you have time, you will not regret.
Alexandru P — Google review
Maybe the nicest zoo I‘ve been to. Small but very cute and very well taken care of. We had a good time!
Herr O — Google review
It is a small but fun zoo to visit. Con's are: Everything is in French, not very tourist friendly (but live translation in Google Translate helps a lot). Restaurant wasnt open while it should be.
Luke — Google review
Well priced , my daughter had great fun, right size for kids to walk around. Good day out
Jason S — Google review
I love this zoo. It has a lot if animals but is not too big and overwhelming for small children. The animal areas are nicely decorated and the paths are easy to navigate even with a stroller. The play area at the end is perfect and the food is decent. Highly recommend it
Mira M — Google review
This little Zoo is certainly worth visiting. Animals are well treated, there's good information about them and quite a lot of exotic animals are present. Price is not high, parking and overall access is easy.

If you want to swim amongst lots of fishes in crystal clear waters then visit. Nice restaurants line this small bay and lots of locals enjoying the great weather. Worth a visit if near the area. Parking is difficult, so get there early, or it's a good ten minutes walk to find a space.

(Translated by Google) I've been going to this spot since I was little. A beach where children can play peacefully by the water. There are also quite a few feet away. Of course it's not a big beach but it's good there. The lifeguards are top notch. Friendly and professional. I go there early in the morning to paddle.
Lionel L — Google review
(Translated by Google) During our visit to the beach today, August 27, 2025, around 1:00 p.m., we were very shocked by the attitude of two people, including a blonde lifeguard in a red thong who, instead of doing her job, took the liberty of swimming several times in the water with a swimmer and loudly criticized some beachgoers. Their comments were clearly heard by several people around us, which created a general feeling of unease. We come to the beach to enjoy a relaxing time with our families, not to be subjected to inappropriate judgments from people who are supposed to ensure the safety and well-being of our visitors. A little more respect and professionalism would be appreciated. This is a shame because the beach is very beautiful, and we don't need to have these kinds of pests around us to enjoy a good time with our families.

(Translated by Google) Family beach, very nice. For those who do not live nearby and wish to come to this beach it is very difficult to find a parking space.
J B — Google review
(Translated by Google) I've been coming to this beach regularly for at least 30 years. On foot, because it's difficult to find a parking space, but by choice. For a long time, boats arriving from Bandol in 10 minutes have been anchoring near the beach, and around 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., we collect the foam from their dishes, not to mention cellophane wrappers from cigarette packs, straws, and various plastics. Go in June or September, but avoid July and August.

(Translated by Google) I came to this museum a few weeks ago and I was more than grateful and admiring of the knowledge and explanations given to me by the caretaker of this museum. I should have written a comment at that time to show the benefit of having a professional in this position of museum guard. After praising the merits of my visit to those around me, I wanted to go back with friends but what was our disappointment, no explanation, no knowledge, nothing. Our lover of his profession had been replaced by a lady who was just content to be present... why???? Without explanations this museum is not of much interest, it is a simple exhibition room.

Visiting from New York City, we came to Six Fours for the first time to see a friend who recommended La Voile, and what a wonderful experience! We started with the fried zucchini flower, which was light, crispy, and absolutely delicious (and that is coming from someone who usually does not like zucchini!). At our friend’s suggestion, we also tried the frog legs for the first time and they were such a pleasant surprise, tender and flavorful, almost like French style chicken wings. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was warm, and the food exceeded our expectations. A memorable first visit to Six Fours and a place we would gladly return to!

I do not recommend and I will never return to this place! It is unbelievable how racist the employees of this restaurant can be, I travel a lot and it has never happened to me to experience something like this and to be treated in this way. I came yesterday afternoon to drink something and I want to specify that I spoke in English. I ordered 2 "café allongé" (I said exactly as it was written in the menu) and a soft drink. The waitress repeated to us the names of the coffees and I confirmed, then I asked if that is an Americano coffee and she said yes. At the end, when we were getting ready to leave and I looked on the receipt, instead of 2 café allongé were 2 double cafés. I went to the bar to pay and to try to clarify why are not 2 café allongé on the receipt. The waitress didn’t want to take the blame that she actually made a mess just because I asked her a question. After a few minutes the owner of the restaurant came but we didn't manage to understand each other because I don't know to speak French and he didn't know English at all. I understood what the waitress was explaining to him in French and how she was trying to convince him that I asked for 2 Americano coffees and it’s my fault. I stayed at the bar for at least 10 minutes and everyone was looking at me like I was the one trying to cheat but I didn't want to give up and to leave it like that. The owner with the waitress and other employees were talking in French, not knowing that I had any idea what they were talking about, we tried to use google translate and the owner made a very bad joke, trying to translate for me that if I don't pay for the coffees, he will call the police and everyone around started laughing. For me, it wasn't about €3, it was about that it's not fair to order something and to pay for something else. After a long stay at the bar, I paid what I originally had to pay. If something like this happened for 2 coffees, I don't even want to imagine how they would have reacted in another situation. A horrible experience!

Superb beach front location for a busy place with very generous portions (consider sharing a dish or two, unless you're actually starving), great and inventive choice of wines, and a very surprising take on the dessert menu. The perfect place for a lively enjoyable sunset dinner before you take a stroll on the beach.
Brice C — Google review
My personal feeling is that they are way too busy to provide an pleasant experience ( due to location the locals and tourists come in naturally ) and not really interested to offer an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, this attitude ( quantity over quality ) is very often found in restaurants. 🌥️. I hope I'm wrong.

I searched high and low for information regarding entry to this casino. It was sparse, even on their own website. We dressed formally in long trousers, shirt and shoes but were refused entry because we didn’t carry our passports. A digital copy of my passport or my physical driving license was not good enough for entry. A joke of an establishment. I won’t return and will spend my 10,000€ somewhere else.

Decent local casino. Very snobby atmosphere refusing entry at the door to paying customers who don’t abide by the dress code. For American travelers, be advised that dress codes for Casinos in France are strictly enforced at the door. Decoration inside the casino is bit tacky and the payouts are meh. Don’t expect too much just try and enjoy it as you can.

It’s taken me a while to get around to writing this review but I think it needs to be done. I am from London and was staying in Bandol during Covid restrictions in November 2021. I visited the Bandol Casino and was absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated in the reception area. I would like to add that I was with My Mother who has a mental disability which added to how horrified I was after being treated in such a horrible way. Would like to note that my Mother is White French. First things first The Covid Pass I had was obviously English as I live in London. In France for some reason they where telling me in several places that my Covid Pass was invalid despite being on the NHS app and having expire dates on them I was repeatedly told that they would not accept my Covid Pass. After few minutes one of the security a white bald guy who looked like he takes steroids for a living grabbed my jacket Collar and man handled me towards the door, before getting to the door he was immediately grabbed and reminded by a colleague that I was with my Mother. No Respect for Tourists or mentally disabled people at all. I think it was probably to do with the fact that I look Arabic as this region is known for being very very Racist. I would never recommend this Casino and I pray that God punishes those who treated me in such a way.. Bando Casino you are most welcome for my late Factual review kind Regards 🙌 and I’m so happy that I have always lived in England. France has it’s ups but mostly it’s an uneducated Ignorant Country. Read some other reviews that speak about the dress code being strict maybe that had something to do with it but nothing condones SUCH as the behaviour and way in which I was treated . I hope the guy who grabbed me is punished by God AMEN

Sept. 19. The dealer with glasses on the BJ table, does not see your first 1-2 pointings in to the table for an extra card. Needs to be done multiple times often. When he cheated me for a card(not noticing the finger in the table 2 times), that would have given black jack, the supervisor came, and didn’t want to check the camera. Everyone around the table saw the dealers mistake. At the roulette table, the screen didn’t show historic numbers because of an error. The other roulette table was not used because of Covid, but again the supervisor did not want to switch the screen from the table not used, or switch people to the other table (before the next day!) Because of Covid, only 4 players can play BJ in total, and only 4 players at roulette table. Others stand in line and wait for players to leave. There is 100 electric machines, that is not used, that takes the space of more live tables. I can not recommend this amateur place, if other casinos nearby are a possibility

Parking might be a bit tricky so be patient; great sunsets, and space to breathe. A hidden gem that hasn’t been overrun.

Nice little park right on the cliffs next to Plage Portissol. There are some great views over the sea and the bay. Trees offer shade. Several tables and benches are great for picnics... Some of them have great views. A large open area in the middle of the park is suitable for petanque. Parking is available right next to the park.

Historical landmark
The Tour de Sanary-sur-Mer, a historic tower originally constructed in 1300, stands as a guardian of the harbor. Situated behind a hotel on the port, this landmark offers free access for visitors. After exploring the small museum showcasing its collection of amphoras, one can ascend the stairs to reach the top of the tower. From there, an exquisite observation point provides breathtaking views of the Sanary sur Mer port.
Wonderful visit, thankful it is free but this is for the people who run it, please please please put everything that is lead (plomb) behind a glass case or get rid of it! Extremely helpful staff. Thank you so much for calling dentists to make an emergency appointment for me when we were on holiday.

Very friendly as you would expect it from a tourist office. Ask for a free map and walk the tour of the houses of German and Austrian intellectuals that fled for the Nazis

The other side of the coin is that the crowds are very high, the road congestion is impressive and parking spaces are rare...also, I wanted to welcome the town hall's decision to leave the barriers of the esplanade park open to make traffic flow more smoothly. evacuation of vehicles at the end of the fireworks, which is an excellent initiative, to be repeated for other festive events of this kind!

The Casino de Sanary is a top destination for those seeking an exciting and cool gaming experience. With its super atmosphere and a wide range of entertainment options, it's the perfect place to try your luck and have a great time.
We visited the restaurant with our friends, we wouldn't have ever thought about going to a casino for a meal, so for us it was enlightening. The restaurant was very spacious with comfortable seating and a nice view. The staff were all pleasant friendly and helpful. We had the 18€ lunch menu, which was good value and there was a good choice of the main dish, with a tiny coffee served with 2 little cakes to finish the meal, plus there was an entree. The food was very good, I had the ribs, served with skin on potato wedges and barbecue sauce, my husband had the piece of beef, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. All the food was very tasty. Good parking at the venue.
