The Musée des Arts du Sucre et du Chocolat is a small but delightful museum located in front of the big covered market. It showcases various sugar and chocolate art pieces, spanning from the middle ages to modern technologies. Visitors can enjoy short films about preparation and indulge in a small tasting session after the tour. The staff is known for being friendly and informative, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
Very interesting. Amazing chocolate pieces.

One of the best ice-cream shops I have ever been to, could easily compete with the best Italian ice-cream parlours. Highly recommend salted caramel (perfect creamy texture), chocolate, alphonso mango and pink grapefruit (very refreshing and not too sweet). Great that all ice creams are made in-house.
Rodolfo A — Google review
Small but nice museum with friendly staff, some wonderful pieces of sugar- and chocolate art on display plus some short films playing about preparation. Small degustation afterwards is awesome and on itself already worth the entrance fee
Michel V — Google review
A fine and substantial collection of spun sugar art, mainly statuettes of real and imagined figures, master Thuries probably best of kind. Not much interpretation or results of chocolate making though there are plenty to buy. Sometimes there are confectionery demonstrations and free samples though if busy you can wait a while for your turn. Is it worth the money? Not for me but my wife liked it and the granddaughters loved the figures. Takes about half an hour.

Manufacture Gourmande is a charming spot where locals can always find new surprises on the menu. Whether you're craving homemade pastries, delightful sandwiches, or a peaceful atmosphere, this place has got you covered. It's located near other French cuisine restaurants like L'epicentre and offers a variety of delectable dishes. Visitors praise the homemade offerings and friendly service, recommending it as a great place to enjoy simple yet well-prepared meals with a lovely view of Occitanie.
I popped in by chance on my second day in Cordes Sur Ciel while out exploring and on the hunt for a light late lunch of some kind. Most places seem to close for a few hours in the afternoons so given it was 4.20pm I was hungry and loosing hope after trying a few other places. I ordered a slice of vegetarian quiche and they asked if I’d like a salad with it. The staff were so kind and joyous, seeming happy to be practicing some English, which is a pleasant change from many other establishments which seem to have a bit of distance towards tourists. Anyway they were so kind and funny, happy to help and served up a stunningly delicious quiche! They have a lovely little terrace around the corner that I sat at and watched the scenery. After reading other reviews I decided to pop back and buy some of the biscuits and confirm they are amazing! I’ll be buying more to take home with me. Well worth a visit while in Cordes!!! Thank you 😊

Here you can find gluten free crêpes made from chestnut flour (suitable for celiacs)! All the crêpes they offer are made from that flour so there’s no chance for cross-contamination. There are four options: sugar, jam, Nutella or chestnut crème. We tried the Nutella one and it was very good!

Cute and modern cafe on the edge of Cordes top. I only had a smoothie (which was vegan, quite difficult to find around here) and it was delicious. The staff was soo friendly and smiling! Not something I see often from locals towards Americans. I appreciated it a lot 😁

The restaurant seems popular, but really, don't miss Les Croquants 😊 Expertise that deserves its reputation. (Original) Quel délice ces croquants aux amandes maison.... The Musée Charles Portal in Cordes is a historical museum that puts a strong emphasis on the city's past, particularly its embroiderers and weavers. While it can be explored independently, taking a guided tour is highly recommended as it offers more insights and depth to the exhibits. The enthusiastic receptionist adds an extra layer of excitement to the visit.
(Translated by Google) An essential museum to visit if you go to the city. (Translated by Google) At the back of the Charles Portal Museum, you can admire an impressive medieval freight elevator. This ingenious device used a large wooden wheel powered by human power: by walking inside, a rope was wound to hoist heavy loads to the top of the ramparts. A beautiful reconstruction that recalls the know-how of yesteryear and the daily life of the city's builders. (Original) A l'arrière du musée Charles Portal , on peut admirer un impressionnant monte-charge médiéval. Beyond this gate is a wonderful village Cordes-sur-ciel (upon sky!) was built at the beginning of the 13th century by Raymond VII Count of Toulouse. As every “Bastide”, Cordes was located and designed to be easy to defend in these troubled times. This gate was a way to enter the outside walls. (Translated by Google) The Porte des Ormeaux is a beautiful medieval entrance to Cordes-sur-Ciel, less well-known than the Porte de la Jane but just as charming. Built in the 13th century, it was part of the city's defense system. Its name comes from the elm trees that once grew near this spot, trees often associated with gathering places in ancient villages. Its imposing stones and pointed arch recall the power of the fortifications of the time. A discreet entrance but full of character. (Original) La porte des Ormeaux est une belle entrée médiévale de Cordes-sur-Ciel, moins connue que la porte de la Jane mais tout aussi charmante. This Place is fantastic the owners were so kind in letting us stay when we couldn't find a room for the night and it is breathtakingly beautiful. Everything about hotel, owners and the breakfast delightful.

Excellent well located B&B with a very couple running it. They were very helpful with lending us a medieval costume for some pictures in the streets on this medieval village. They also organize costumed medieval lunches or dinners for small groups, an excellent idea for birthdays or bachelor parties.

Porte de la Jane is one of the gates surrounding the city, along with porte des Ormeaux and porte de l'Horloge. The market features a deep well of about 114 meters. The maison du Grand Veneur, a sandstone house with a three-level facade, is an impressive architectural gem in the city. Cordes sur Ciel offers breathtaking views of the surrounding plains and is dotted with creative shops within its old stone walls.

(Translated by Google) There is no doubt that Cordes is worth a visit for its very exceptional architecture. What I regret, however, are the expensive parking conditions, limited in time, which are a real hostage to the tourist that I was. Cordes is doing its utmost to ensure that everyone benefits from the impressive authenticity of its site, and is increasing its financial incentives. I want to talk about the few businesses open which charge very excessive prices. It's a visit of all excesses and in any case, I regret it, I'm not ready to make another visit. Might as well watch a quality report. I rate the beauty and prestige of the place 5 stars and the literally scandalous tourist reception conditions 1 star.

(Translated by Google) Excellent hot chocolates: very smooth, very tasty. Very delicate pastries too. Strong in flavor but excellent balance. I recommend 65-70 or even 100% chocolate, much more interesting than milk chocolate. It's expensive but unfortunately it's the raw material that has been extremely high for some time. On the other hand, the staff's comments are disastrous because they are disrespectful (I could have done without them) but not mean, just crude. The waitress is adorable, however.
