The tower itself is nice from the outside, but when you walk in, it smells really bad. There are all kinds of trash left over, which really ruins it for me. Dont even get me started on the smell! It is such a shame that a landmark like this is not being tended to enough.
A C — Google review
This is a beautiful little area just outside of La Mata, the tower is in a small and well looked after park area with lush green grass. The tower itself is actually very small, but sadly the idiot teenagers have been in it and added there graffiti albeit you can see attempts have been made by the council to remove it. The views out across the Med are beautiful and it's well worth a trip to see it.
Robbo — Google review
(Translated by Google) I haven't been back in many years. It's the same, somewhat neglected and dirty inside. But the outside is still just as beautiful. The surroundings are better maintained. Above all, it has a very beautiful view of the sea, not least because it was a 14th-century watchtower.

(Translated by Google) Very pretty and interesting to see, but really neglected and dirty inside. Those who litter the streets could just stay home, and the city council could come by to clean it up from time to time. The surrounding park is very pleasant. Outdoor Activities
La Mata Beach is a bustling ocean getaway with a spacious shoreline, playground, and a boardwalk lined with eateries and bars. The beach offers a wide belt of pale sand washed by rolling surf and is hugged by a 2.3-kilometer-long boardwalk with 14 beach bars. As you move north along the beach, it becomes quieter, culminating in a 14th-century watchtower that once formed part of coastal defenses against pirate attacks.
Beautifull long beach, with bars and restaraunts. Clean sea and sand.

Nice, huge beach. Big disappointment that you have to take own sunbeds and sunbrellas.
Mika S — Google review
I personally didnt have a nice experience there. When we went there were a lot of seaweed washed up on shore and I could not enjoy the beach as much as I wanted. I might reconsider my opinion if I visit on another day, however it was a nightmare to step on the seaweed. It is a fine sandy beach, but it is overcrowded. I would not recommend it to people who dislike crowds. There are toilets and also foot washing devices.
A C — Google review
Very nice beach lovely family place and clean.

Really enjoyed La Mata. We visited on a Wednesday and the market was on. It was huge. Struggled to get parked but once we did we stayed & had a fabulous day. Will definitely return.
Chris J — Google review
My favourite beach in the region so far with little algae and lots of sand, it’s pleasant to swim there. But it is crowded in the summer and very difficult to park there even though it’s free
Elie K — Google review
Pros: Good beach - long and wide. Clean, sandy. There is a nice park neighbouring the beach. A lot of cafe and restaurants close to the beach. Cons: No showers at all (( Not enough toilets and dressing rooms. Comparably crowded even in the end of May! I can't imagine what will be in the high season (July).

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Aquopolis Torrevieja is a water park located in the town of Torrevieja, near Salou, on the Costa Blanca in Spain. It offers a range of attractions for visitors of all ages, including thrilling slides and pools as well as more moderate options for younger family members. The park also features chill-out areas where visitors can relax and rent floats or deckchairs. Additionally, there are restaurants, kiosks, and shops available for guests.
Went as a family of 8. We bought the tickets on line with the FAST40 offer we booked a couple of days before we went) and got 40% off. We paid 6€ for the carpark. We rented one of the cabana beds for 70€ and it was great The beds had a QR coffee and We scanned to order food. No waiting in line and the food was with us with minutes would definitely recommend these beds for convenience and comfort. Weekends are quieter. We all went on all the rides multiple times. I would also revived to get their when it opens so you can have a good voice of beds.

There was plenty of parking, and we got in without having to queue. The area was clean and offered a good variety of activities. The sun loungers were comfortable, and even though there was an extra charge, they were worth it. It’s a good idea to check the location of the lounger so it’s not right next to the speakers – the music in the area is quite loud. The food selection was limited, so I’d recommend bringing your own snacks.
Maria V — Google review
It is a mixed review unfortunately. The park was nice, but the information desk gave us incorrect "information" when asking about gluten free food. We spent about an hour in two different cues, trying to find food. At the end, there were several nice ladies that helped us get the food we needed, but the "information" was bad and the signs about food were incorrect. I think an establishment like this with international clientele can do much better!
C Y — Google review
What a complete waste of money. For a family, this place is ridiculously overpriced. Nowhere decent to leave your belongings while swimming, and if you want a sunbed? Sure, just hand over €70 – because clearly every small family on vacation has a suitcase full of spare cash for plastic furniture. Most attractions have a 120cm height restriction, which basically means if your kids are under 7, don’t bother – they’ll spend the day watching other people have fun. And the lifeguards? I’ve never seen people blow whistles with such Olympic dedication. Normal kids’ pool play – jumping, splashing, existing – was treated like a crime scene. By the end of the day I had permanent tinnitus from their whistles. In the wave pool, our properly fitted life vests (with crotch straps, correct size, one adult per child) were forbidden, and we were forced to use the park’s one-size-fits-nobody junk vests. It felt less like “safety rules” and more like “we’ll make sure you regret bringing your own gear.” The vibe was not welcoming – more like being policed at every turn. And the food? Calling it “food” is generous. Overpriced, tasteless, greasy slop that even the kids wouldn’t touch. If children reject French fries, you know you’ve achieved something truly special in the field of culinary failure. All in all: expensive, joyless, noisy, and about as relaxing as a root canal with no anesthesia. Save yourself the misery and go literally anywhere else.
Martin S — Google review
A truly disappointing experience for our family. The staff seemed stressed and unfriendly, and on top of the entrance fee, they charged extra for even the smallest things – amenities that are usually included at other water parks. The place feels like a clear tourist trap with a sense of class division, where a spot near the pool costs €70 for a dirty sunbed. How can a filthy sunbed cost twice as much as the entrance ticket?
Sato D — Google review
The roads nearby get quite busy at opening time online it showed 11.30 bit on the gates to the car park it shows 10:30 so something needs updating apart from that great day out kids loved it. We took a cooler with drinks and sandwiches.
Richard C — Google review
We loved our day here and will return in the future. The park is suitable for all age groups and has something for everyone. The wave pool was a slight disappointment, mainly because the waves weren't very high, but everything else was fine. The park is clean and there are plenty of shaded areas to set up camp for the day. We opted for a cabana to base ourselves near the kids section, which was a little pricey at 70 Euro for the whole day, but worth paying it.
Craig S — Google review
We had a fantastic time at this water park, would definitely recommend a visit. Entry was a bit pricey so try and get a voucher code if you can. There is plenty of parking on site but it will cost you 5 euros. The park was just the right size to enable a family to get around and actually have a few goes on all the slides. There is a great toddlers adventure pool so the little ones will have a great time. There is plenty of green space about to set up your blankets or sunbeds etc and there are lockers available in the gift shop. We had lunch at the burger bar/restaurant and to be fair it was good. The staff, lifeguards etc are all really friendly and keen for you to have a good time. We'd be coming back here again 100%

Park
Parque de las Naciones is a beloved 35,000 to 40,000 square meter urban park in Torrevieja. It offers well-maintained gardens, green spaces, and various attractions such as playgrounds, an outdoor gym, and picnic areas with barbecue facilities. The park features an artificial lake with a fountain that forms the silhouette of the European continent. Visitors can enjoy strolling along paths around the lake and admiring the impressive waterfall.
Large park with free-walk animals and playgrounds. You can spend hours here with kids.
Vaclav K — Google review
Nice place to walk and bread in the city center. Animals and nature. Family friendly. Loads of water fountains and a big lake
Nelsonlaptoplifestyle — Google review
Parque de las Naciones is a pleasant and family-friendly park in Torrevieja. The highlight for families with young children is the playground area, which includes swings, seesaws, playhouses, and a large dinosaur slide – a big hit with the little ones. It’s a great spot for kids to burn off some energy. For adults, the park offers a relaxing walking route with plenty of benches along the way, making it a nice break from the busy town. One charming detail is the display of flags, where the Norwegian flag is proudly planted in Bergen (as we all know, the real capital of Norway). Interestingly, the Norwegian flag was also the most worn out – perhaps a sign of frequent visitors or strong sun exposure. While there are plenty of benches throughout the park, the area right by the playground could use a few more, especially for parents keeping an eye on their kids. There are two toilets in the park, but they are very basic – no toilet seats, no toilet paper, and no sinks. They are only suitable for emergencies. Overall, a charming little green space that’s well worth a visit for families and anyone looking for a peaceful stroll, but don’t count on the restrooms.
Martin S — Google review
Nice place, quiet. Nice to sit and watch ducks or peacocks walking freely in the park. The impression is a bit spoiled by the noise from the busy road adjacent to the park.
Tim C — Google review
Lovely park. We watched the trees growing in there during a 20 year period! We really believe they are overgrown and should be trimmed back. The park has a lovely lake and its land mass is in the shape of Europe and the flags of the nations are proudly flying. I must point out that the Irish Tricolur was flying in a tattered state during the last five years and this year when we visited it had fallen away and the flag pole is bereft of our nations flag! It was disgraceful how the park curators allowed it to fall into such a state. The apartment we stay in faces this park and until such time that the Irish Flag flies proudly alongside it European neighbours, I am reluctant to enter it again! Still it is a lovely park!!
Con C — Google review
The park is beautiful. It gets cleaned in the morning, so that's the best time to visit — it feels fresh and peaceful. During the day, there are lots of people, and children sometimes bother the birds, making them hide. In the morning, however, the birds are calm, unafraid, and don’t run away. It’s a great place to relax, calm your nerves, and spend a lovely day. Perfect for reading (just avoid sitting directly under the trees). Unfortunately, people often feed the birds bread, which is harmful to them. If you want to feed them (though it might be prohibited), it’s better to bring some birdseed from the supermarket
Marharyta V — Google review
We've been there few times, the Park is well maintained, you can encounter some peacocks as well as other birds, there are numerous events taking place here throughout the year for example food truck gatherings.

Submarine S-61 is a floating museum in Torrevieja, Spain, offering public tours of a preserved Russian submarine that was once part of the Spanish military. The museum is part of the Floating Museums of Torrevieja and provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the interior of the submarine and learn about its history and operation.
A really unexpected experience in Torrevieja! You can enter 2 coast guard boats and a submarine. Everywhere there are many rooms and you get a complete overview including kitchens, bedrooms, machine rooms. Unique and definitely worth the 2 EUR entrance fee!
Pascal F — Google review
Nice place! Very interesting place and not very crowded either, at opening times. My son enjoyed it. Important - they do not allow children under 110 cm to visit! However - one very unpleasant thing - the guy doing the tours is very unpleasant and rude. He either has a problem with tourists or he was bothered by our presence when he was trying to do some sort of private tour to some Spanish friends of his. Very unpleasant individual that should not be employed in a position where he has to deal with people and tourists / clients especially.
Aurel D — Google review
Very good insight on what it was like to work in a submarine & military ship. You need to be fit and agile it involves climbing up and down steep fixed ladder steps. Young children would love it. Entrance is just 2 euros and includes headphone comintury in multiple languages.
Graham R — Google review
Third time lucky... We have lived in Torrevieja for just under 3 months now and have tried to visit the submarine museum three times, the first two unsuccessful with, as others have said, it being closed for no apparent reason. The times we tried were all weeks apart, so it's not like they were just having a bad week. We finally managed to get in today on a Thursday at around 12:30pm. I gave it three stars because if you actually manage to get in, it's good value for money at just €2 each. You're pretty much forced to go on the boat first, then you go on the submarine. The boat is interesting too and you have time to make the most of it. When we were leaving, at around 13:08, some other people tried to get in but staff turned them away because they were ready to shut the place. Not fair really when the sign says it shuts at 2pm and the people getting turned away looked quite disappointed. I think it should make it clear that 2pm means closed, not "last entry". If you want to go I would recommend turning up as early as possible to avoid disappointment. To get there, turn down the sand/mud track as soon as you see the sign. It will feel like you aren't going the right way and as though you should go into the Dock, but like other people have said do not go that far. If you go through the gates, you've gone wrong. Good luck to anyone hoping to visit... Hopefully it will be open for you.
Luke W — Google review
Very interesting experience for someone living on the ground all the time. Worth visiting. Access is straight, tickets (€2 per person) you buy at the entrance, go for a small ship first and then continue to the submarine itself.
Denis R — Google review
Decent museum to see a submarine and a relatively modern ship from inside. The value for money is very good - the ticket price is only 2 eur. For those planning to come with children, your child needs to be at least 110cm high to be allowed to enter.
Vitaliy G — Google review
An interesting and unusual museum. Friendly staff and fascinating exhibitions. Never been on a submarine before so this was a great opportunity to see what it's like. A great value hour or so for just €2. Thank you.
Jacqueline S — Google review
Great little museum. For only 2 euros, you get an audio tour of a submarine and a patrol boat. The submarine is fascinating. There are also a variety of smaller boats and naval artefacts to explore. A great way to spend an hour!

Located in the beautiful coastal city of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca in Spain, Museo del Mar y de la Sal is a captivating ethnological museum that delves into the city's rich salt-harvesting history. Opened in 1995, this cultural institution near the harbor showcases an array of exhibits including old photographs, salt-made objects, model boats, archaeological artifacts, and fishing tools.

Nothing to write home about as it was small. However it was an informative museum in a very narrow scope. You can always do your own research to dig in further on the stories and facts presented. The museum is not a bad starting point

Its not that big of a place but we were pleasantly surprised at how much they actually had going on in there. There's quite a few exhibits and as others have said, the models are pretty cool. It's free to enter, and there's no way to actually make a donation or anything so you don't feel obliged to give, and don't feel as though anyone is expecting you to give. There were two staff on when we went and they were friendly on welcome and exit and didn't bother us other than that. Its not life changing but I would recommend going if you're in the area.

Playa de la Mata is a beautiful sandy beach with a play area for kids, making it an ideal spot for families to spend a day out. Visitors can pack a picnic with snacks and drinks, sun cream, towels, picnic blankets, and beach activities like beach balls and water floats. It's also recommended to bring a sun umbrella or tent for shade. The beach offers the opportunity to enjoy cocktails or beer for adults while kids can have cold drinks and ice lollies from the nearby bar.
Super nice beach with quite shallow water so it's nice and warm and perfect for children. We were just told that the weather is too hard, and everybody has to get out of thw water. Tough, but at least that means the someone cares enough for our safety. I only feel gratitude.
Martin N — Google review
Just a walk along the beach looking for a light lunch. All tastes catered for but only in small amounts. So, as in our case, it was difficult to get a seat. Great if you had come for a very high end as they were not full. We had only come for a beer and a sandwich type lunch. One point of note there appears to be no sunbed hire on many of these beaches, so ensure you bring your own.
Bob S — Google review
Great beach, but recommended to be on the left side for a better rock free entry. Sand is dusty and low quality which is not perfect for kids to play with. Overall is fine!
Mark S — Google review
Beautiful Sandy Beach This is my favourite beach in Torrevieja it has quite shallow waters, so allows to be with kids of a young age with very limited risks. It is super sandy, and has all the amenities you can expect (like toilets, showers, etc). Also nice to have shops & bars and restaurants all along aand very close by.
Paul V — Google review
It is a beautiful sandy beach. It has toilets and foot washing devices. The water is clear, the beach is mostly clean too. If you're looking for a fine sandy beach near torrevieja, I recommend this, however if you hate big crowds, this might be a bad option for you. Up to personal preference.
A C — Google review
A good size beach with a long boardwalk with plenty of good restaurants. Toilet blocks easy to spot and use. Shallow water for quite a long way out. I'd recommend shore shoes for the rocks in the sea. Sandy beach. Very lovely out of season when quiet too. Can get very very busy. Lots of 'looky looky' men selling cheap goods (sunglasses, hats, t shirts etc) which was annoying, as well as Thai or Phillippinos for massage. Can get very very busy, so time it to avoid peak time, if possible. A good free car park

Water & Amusement Parks
Aquapark Flamingo in Torrevieja is a festive water park with high-speed slides, rides, and swimming pools. It's a popular choice for families with smaller children and toddlers due to its compact size and attentive staff. The park features thrilling water slides like the Kamikaze and Black Hole, as well as a wave pool, lazy river, and children's play area. Visitors can also relax on spacious terraces or enjoy snacks at various food stands.
It's a really cool place, a great way to spend some time. The big slide is a great attraction! Delicious coffee is also available. Be sure to order one 😊 Attractions for both young and old.
Angelika M — Google review
Very nice smaller water park that is very clean and has friendly staff. The park only has 4 slides, including one for children but there was very little queuing, compared to other water parks in the area. We managed to do 10+ rides on each slide during our visit and enjoyed the swimming pools that fit both children and adults.
Alexander P — Google review
Perfect for my little boy (he was 19 months when we went). The lifeguards were all super helpful with him getting on and off the slides. Reasonably priced food, drinks etc. Only issue I found was there wasn’t a lot of shade even with the umbrellas provided so just make sure to factor that in when you visit.
William P — Google review
Fantastic day with young children, 10 and 8. Park was super clean. Not massive but that was better for letting children go and have a little freedom. Guards can be strict so if your children aren't used to being told no, suggest you don't attend! Will definitely return!
John S — Google review
Overall park is small only few slides, but park well maintained, limited but good quality snacks. Recommended with small kids.
Darius B — Google review
We've been coming here for around 8 years. It's a great park for little ones. Really clean, staff helpful and friendly and the food good value. You can also take your own food and drink but no glass or cans. Entry can be with card but cash only in the park (there's is a bank nearby). I noticed it was less busy than other previous visit so the kids were straight onto the slides. Would recommend.
Tim H — Google review
I took my Grandson for the day here and was very pleasantly surprised. The park had a little but for everyone, an adult pool, infants pool and teenage areas that ticked a box for all. One thing that struck me is that it was completely spotless everywhere. Very well kept and the staff were all fantastic, personable and professional. The park is very reasonably priced in terms of entry, drinks and food so we will now be going more regularly. Thank you for a great day out!!!
Craig S — Google review
Great for primary aged kids, our two loved it. Note before you go it's cash only though as it could leave you disappointed / unable to enter. Cafe food is as expected for lunch, but not too expensive so can't complain. This is only a small park, but ideal for young families and they close it once it gets full so no overcrowding either / everyone can find and make a base on loungers or chairs and table, as we did, too which is great!

Amusement center
Habaneras Shopping Centre in Torrevieja is a modern, open space offering a taste of 21st-century Spanish architecture. It features popular stores like Zara and H&M across several floors, with the top level dedicated to food options. In addition to traditional shopping experiences in local markets and small shops selling handmade crafts, visitors can enjoy stunning views towards the mountains from the mall's top floor cafes.
Good place to go and do shopping or have a drink or lunch. It's closer to Torrevieja than La Zenia. On Sundays everything is closed so only go here on Sunday if you want to have a coffee at one of the bars and meet with friends. Lots of room to park outside the shopping center. The only downside is that if it's windy or rainy you won't be able to enjoy walking around, shopping or having a drink as the shopping centre is not enclosed. Other than that good place to come once or twice per week.
Adrian B — Google review
A very pleasant shopping experience! The mall is clean, bright, and spacious, with a layout that’s easy to navigate. We found everything we needed – from food to clothes – and even managed to keep the kids entertained (though the small play area was a bit pricey, it did the trick!). Everyone left happy, full, and with a little something new in their bags. Perfect stop for families needing a break from the sun – or each other.
Martin S — Google review
This is a smaller shoppingcenter than La Zenia one. They have restaurants on the top floor with big screens that shows football matches. Quite children friendly judging from all the child activities available. There are signs on places that claims that the shopping centre is also pet friendly.
P S — Google review
Nice environment, if you are looking for clothes or sneakers of common brands like Puma, Adidas, Nike, Fila or Reebok, then you are in the right place. Somehow I could not find a stand for an e-scooter, but maybe I overlooked it. I saw one for V.I.P. members, but later I also saw one in the underground garage.
Tim C — Google review
Small but nicely laid out shopping centre on the outskirts of Torrevieja and next door to a very large Carrefor. Huge amount of outside parking but also underground parking underneath the centre itself. Good range of clothes shops and some places to eat on the top floor. A quieter, more relaxed shopping experience than the much larger La Zenia centre
Havenswift H — Google review
Nice shopping centre, plenty of underground parking and shops to choose from. Very top level is more for food and there is a limited choice upstairs. There is also a small park on the roof terrace for children. Toilets are spotless clean and the whole centre, I do enjoy coming here.

Nice shopping centre with a wide variety of mainly fashion retailers. Fun jump park for kids on top floor. Plenty of parking and relaxed vibe

Playa del Cura is a popular and bustling beach in Torrevieja, known for its relaxed atmosphere and convenient location near restaurants and hotels. The 325-meter-long and nearly 30-meter-wide beach attracts many sunbathers and visitors who enjoy its facilities, restaurants, and chiringuitos. The name of the beach has an interesting history dating back to the 19th century.
Very nice city beach. Depending on the season, there might be a lot of algae, but the city has it cleaned up every night during the high season. It's very crowded during summer, but hey, it is a city beach, whatever that means. I do see the city puts a lot of effort in cleaning up the whole area. Restaurants, bars, and shops along the whole stretch of the paved boardwalk. Nice overall.
Joe N — Google review
Well what can you say about basically a man made beach!? Actually quite a lot.! It is one of the most popular beaches in Torrevieja area. In winter time it is naturally quiet but pleasant to amble along the shore and promenade that is palm tree laden with the prevailing north east winds. Excellent for dog walkers on their early morning or late evening strolls.! Just on the promenade there are some great bars and restaurants to refresh and sustain you during the day and evening . On the other hand there is Summer season!! The great weather for which the area is renowned arrives. Although smaller than it's sister beach " Los Locos" it is always inevitably close to full with holiday makers , basking in the Mediterranean sunshine. The area is excellent for swimming and water activity for young and old. And yes lifeguards are in attendance at this time of year.! Also the beach itself is kept in brilliant state of cleanliness all year .
Michael O — Google review
Easy accessible beach in the city. Only negative thing is that there are many rocks in the sand when you go for a swim, shoes recommended. It can get crowded in high season. They do have water dispensers so you can wash of the sand when you go home from the beach
P S — Google review
It is probably the most frequented beach by people; there are palm trees, attractions for children at the beginning of the beach, a lot of restaurants, bars, kiosks with ice cream and drinks, you can buy souvenirs, very nice dresses and handbags for women, huge castles built on sand; The prices are really decent, good food. A lot of people from the Netherlands, Russia, Scandinavian countries, few blondes😅😊 Beautiful place; Life blooms in the evening. 🥰

12The Pink Lake Of Torrevieja

The Pink Lake of Torrevieja is a natural wonder that's worth visiting, despite some restrictions. Swimming in the lake is prohibited and can result in a fine, but the sight of the impressive pink water makes it worthwhile. The area surrounding the lake may not be pristine, with litter and unpleasant smells from the swamps, but seeing flamingos if you're lucky adds to its charm. Accessing the lake involves a short walk over unstable ground and isn't suitable for wheelchairs.
Worth the visit. The best period to visit is during the summer months, from June to September. This phenomenon of natural origin, unique in Spain, is produced by a bacterium that releases a pinkish pigment in waters with a high concentration of salt: in the case of the pink lagoon, 350 grams per liter of water, a figure very similar to that of the Dead Sea.
Rafa F — Google review
The Pink Lake in Torrevieja is a must-see! The color of the water is incredible and changes beautifully with the sunlight. It’s very peaceful, perfect for a walk and photos.
Isabella — Google review
The water is very salty and warm, so be careful if you have abrasions or cuts on your skin, I don't recommend it because it stings a lot after contact with the water. The locals recommend taking a large bottle of clean water with you to rinse off the salt afterwards, especially in the creases, which I agree with, the pink color is most visible before sunset.
AGA M — Google review
Great place to visit. Get the bus downtown...sunset time is awesome for the colours and the birds...excellent place for both adults and kids...👍👍
Lyndira O — Google review
The access to it is very bad, you need to go on the mud to reach to the water. Water does not look pink at all, it's completely muddy and brown. The pink color on the water you can see it only if you are very far away from the water
André R — Google review
Nice place but there was alot of people swimming, camping, tanning ect, the area around looks a bit ruff. Think tourism is destroying the area...
Ivar T — Google review
Nice place with levetating salt water and pink beuty. Its 4 only because the way there is a bit wierd, you have to go thoughba broken fence to get there and walk though dirt(Don't wear white shoes)
Teleaga S — Google review
Beautiful place, plenty for parking, usually pretty quiet and never over crowded with people. Good space to have a picnic and chill out with a beautiful view. Swimming is not allowed, but people have a little wade in the water and a few bath in the salt water. I would recommend bringing a bottle of water as even if you dip your feet once you dry off as soft as your skin will be you’ll have a layer of crust on your skin which can be uncomfortable.

Scenic spot
Visita las Salinas de Torrevieja offers a unique experience in the natural park of Torrevieja's hinterland, featuring two vast salt lagoons. The Laguna de Torrevieja to the south has a distinctive pink tint and is still mined for its salt. Visitors can enjoy floating in the waters on the resort side of the lagoon, but it's recommended to bring water to wash off the salt afterwards.
A good attraction if visiting town giving the history of Torrevieja and it's salt production. You get to go inside the salt works and see the piles of salt and the methods of harvesting it. The guide was very well informed and helpful. It's only an hour but worth it in my opinion. There's also a little shop to buy products made with salt.
Tom L — Google review
Seems more like a tour for Instagramers. Visitors are only interested in making photos and they couldn't care less about the information given. Even though it's a short ride, the glass roof of the train is not the best choice in the sun!
Accola E — Google review
I chose the 8 pm time ...great sunset colours on lake...and the birds start nesting around that time...worth it...good history in both Spanish and English.
Lyndira O — Google review
Nice experience, it worth to go ones there. The staff who sell the tickets very rude and didn't offer any information, just took the money and that's it
Floriana N — Google review
Nice trip to the salt lakes, where you can sometimes see flamingos and learn how salt is produced. The train starts in a city near the center and takes you directly to the lakes, where you have some time to walk around before it takes you back. The trip takes approximately 1 hour.
Zdenek V — Google review
Come here just to breathe this salty air and touch the lake water, after which your hands are so smooth like after superspa! before sunset should be great time for photoshoots. Interesting to hear facts about this place, it's definitely unique and worth seeing. I would extend excursion program and give some more maybe visual interactive information about salt producing.
Julia S — Google review
We got the 11am train. The journey had a recorded message in both Spanish and English describing thr history of the salt lakes. There was also a tour and the opportunity to purchase souvenirs . A very peaceful and enjoyable trip. Only downside was that we didn't get to see a flamingo as is not their season to visit the lakes as they breed in March, April and May I believe
Karen H — Google review
Beware that you cannot enter this way and the gate is closed. You have to catch the train from nearby Marina. I think that this place has a great potential for more attractions but it’s worth to visit when you are in Torrevieja. Would be nice to see more from the area

One of the places we take our visitors for coffee and culture. Inside is fascinating for its tiles and decor, Historic and beautiful. One of the "must visits" for visitors interested in art and culture.
Christopher H — Google review
You would definitely want to visit here if only once for the absolutely superb 19th century architecture - truly beautiful. I Stopped off here mid morning for a coffee and croissant, which were nice but small - pricey at €4.30, but this place is aimed at the well heeled predominantly French boat owning community in the harbour over the road, plus holidaying Madrileños with a bit of cash. Judging by the clientele I saw, they were miserable with their money. The service was good, although it wasn't busy, and the crockery and music were tasteful. However, the view of a row of green portakabins just across the road was unfortunate, and the fake marble tables made out of MDF were disappointing, particularly in such an august environment, and in a country that excels in marble craftsmanship.
John I — Google review
Probably the best building in Torrevieja for the architecture, beautiful Art deco glass and tiles. Like going back in a time machine. The staff are very friendly and it's a nice place to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by.

Visited on a Sunday at lunchtime. Service was very poor, and the food was over-priced and of medium quality. The atmosphere and location is however very good. Have visited before and had very good cocktails in the nice 2nd floor front terrace. That I can recommend.
Paul F — Google review
It was originally, as the name suggests, a casino so it is large and very grandiose inside. It's very popular as it's on the main Road across from the harbour but that said, it's set back far enough for the passing traffic to be less if a problem than some of the resteraunt. There is a good choice licquere coffees there which are a favourite drink of mine.

Eras de la Sal is a historical warehouse and jetty that operated from 1777 to 1958, serving as a hub for salt transportation. The building showcases 18th-century industrial-style architecture and wooden structures, meticulously reconstructed at its original location near the Vistalegre waterfront. This iconic venue hosts the renowned International Habaneras Music Contest on summer evenings in late July.
Where the terminal is for the local buses is a lovely walk going north along the promenade. There are many interesting features with a great view of the marina and other interesting features en route to the entrance to the port. That is where what a lot of people call the trade stands the hippie market. Some great bargains can be found, but do not forget to haggle on the prices. Across the road from the start of the huts is a rather impressive fountain waterfall, and in this area you can catch the little "train" which the children love. You can also book for other attractions on offer. It is best to go about 7pm as when the fairground is in action the atmosphere is great and the place is fairly buzzing. Also a fantastic place to buy all your souvenirs, and a complete new wardrobe of clothes if you so wish. Numerous bars and cafes to choose from from elegant down to cheap and cheerful.

Eras de la Sal is closed and it have been like this for some years now. The place like it is now is a disgrace to the city of Torrevieja The place has great potential, please do something about it! This area close to the sea/harbour deserves a real upgrade and should be availible for the public. It could be a place where you could walk, relax, take a bath/swim, take an ice cream, etc.

We went to see the UB40 concert. It's outside seating by the harbour. The views are beautiful. You are right by the sea. The concert area is very shielded as there is a wall all the way round. No roof as it is held in the ruins. It is a beautiful place to have any concert or just visit.
Michaela D — Google review
I was told I could take a gift to the performers at the meet and greet as long as it wasn’t food or drinks. When I got there they told me I couldn’t give it to them and to leave it with security. Security would not take the responsibility for it and then one of the ladies working there said “I’ll take it” and she put it in a room. Now I can’t get anyone there to tell me if it was actually given to the performers or just tossed. The gifts were expensive to produce and were worked on for six months. It would be nice to know if they got them. They also messed up our seating from what we were originally told. The performers were amazing. The venue, not so much.

It's special until this fair is here almost year-round. I've been several times, and it's always fun to go, except, of course, that the prices keep getting higher, but then again, that's true for everything these days. A nice park with a short distance to the beach. Located in tranquil surroundings. Natural and simple park where the water adds extra life to the park. Great for walks and just enjoying

Would be a lovely place if the water was running but sadly when we went (1st October) it wasn’t. It was quite a nice place anyway but would be much nicer if it was running. The walkway is clean and clear and the areas around it fine too.

Interesting place with easy on street parking. The walkways lead right down to the awesome beach and onward to either Torrevieja or La Mata. Clean and well kept, though possibly a little less so in park season. Scenic and pleasant, well worth a visit

Lovely little walk around the park, my son had fun. The park was nice and clean, with plenty of picnic benches for a picnic if you wished. We continued our walk towards the beach which was nice and peaceful.

Miniature golf course
American restaurant
Mini Golf Las Salinas in Torrevieja is a great spot for nature lovers and birdwatchers, as it's located near the beautiful salt lakes that are home to a variety of flora and fauna, including pink flamingos. The surrounding countryside offers hiking trails, picnic spots, and a Greenway alongside the lakes. It's also an ideal place for family bonding time with its challenging obstacles and 18 mini golf holes.
What a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. Only £4.00 each. We went at about 11 am. and it was not busy. I have seen it very busy later in the day. The staff are very nice and helpful. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced. It's a great place for families or just a group of friends fun times !!!

Crazy golf course at the side of a small cafe. Grandchildren (aged 9 and 5) loved it even though they found some of the holes too difficult. A couple of parties of the older generation there at the same time as us, so can get busy; so best to be there early (and before it gets too hot). Staff and service were good and prices reasonable. A good couple of hours entertainment.

This review is specifically for the mini golf part (there's also a little bistro area). Cute place with a good amount of holes in good condition. Each course has a little table or ledge to rest your score card on 🥰 Most of the courses themselves pose neat little challenges instead of simply being flat grass and the owners/employees are very friendly! Good value to money ratio.

Closed Mondays, so we went Tuesday morning as it opened at 11am. 18 fun, well maintained holes with par being 47. Cost €5 per adult, sorry didn’t notice child prices.Food is served from 1pm with drinks available anytime.Easy to find, head straight up from the marina.

People thought we were mad playing in the rain but it was great. Loads of umbrellas and seating areas as you go around the course and it’s right next to a bar with the friendliest staff and great food. It was my son’s birthday and when they found out they went out of their way to make his day. I’d definitely recommend a visit!

Market
The Torrevieja Friday Market is a popular local shopping experience located on the promenade. It offers a relaxed and colorful atmosphere, making it a favorite among both tourists and locals. The market features a wide variety of items including fruits, vegetables, sweets, cakes, dried meat and fish, sausage, cheese, olives, clothes, shoes and more. Visitors can also find churros at the back of the market and enjoy good quality produce at reasonable prices.
This is a fantastic market with loads of different stalls selling everything from fruit and veg to clothing and household items. There are always numerous fruit and veg stalls to choose from, and the prices are great. There are also toilets at either end of this market and every time I have been they have been clean. There is also security present, but do not let this put you off as I have never witnessed any problems or issues here. There is lots of parking in the nearby streets, and both ends have somewhere to secure your cycle.
Lorraine C — Google review
Having visited other markets in various parts of coastal Spain, I found this one a bit disappointing. The fruit and vegetable stalls were excellent, but the clothing section lacked both variety and quality (especially for fake designer knock-offs). However, the stand selling freshly made churros is not to be missed—absolutely delicious!

Entrada a la Laguna Rosa is a stunning spot that offers an unforgettable impression, especially in the afternoon hours of sunny days when the pink color is most vibrant. The high salinity of the water creates incredible visual effects. It can be accessed from several directions and offers the chance to spot flamingos with a bit of luck. The area is easy to access and provides convenient parking. This beautiful location is definitely worth recommending for its natural beauty and ease of access.
This exact spot is easy to access to the water, and easy to park the car. Most of area is fanced so this is good option.

This is a shallow lake used for salt extraction. The bottom is covered with a thick layer of salt crystals. You literally float on the water; the water naturally pushes you upward, like an empty bottle of water floats on the surface. It's strange that the water is very warm near the bottom and cool on the surface. As far as I know, it's always the other way around... The water actually has a reddish-pinkish hue. This water is very healthy for the skin; it can heal skin conditions thanks to the many minerals it contains. It's a nice place to take a dip.

The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine cellar to complement the exquisite array of dishes.
A Culinary Experience to Remember. From the moment we walked into El Mesón De La Costa, we were warmly welcomed with genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. The staff’s attentiveness went far beyond our expectations, every detail was taken care of with a sense of pride. What truly stood out was the team’s passion and dedication to their craft. You can feel their love for food in every aspect. Every bite told a story of tradition, expertise, and heart. Some other reviews told us something about haste and cranky personel but thats not it. These people have focus and passion, you need to get used to this. Its their food and their tradition. Dining here is more than just a meal it’s an experience shaped by people who care deeply about what they do. We left not only satisfied but truly inspired. Highly recommended!

Very fancy. This is the place you go for a bit of a different experience. We had dry age ribeye and it got served with a grill on the table so we did the final cooking by ourselves. We thought this to be a bit cheesy as they are kinda taking away their responsibility for the cooking of the meat, but it was very fun. The meat was excellent quality! We also had desserts that were very good. The wine recommended was perfect. The table should be prebooked.

Very good tasting food! Fresh fresh fresh! Drawbacks are, extremely expensive prices per dish for Spain! servers seemed stressed, not charming and eager to sell us X dish! They asked us if we wanted to move places to head to the winel cellar! I felt like deep down they wanted us to buy the mega expensive bottles of wine! Amazing place tho! For the whole experience, it's a 3 stars for me! Just wished the service and prices were more down to earth like it should be in Spain!

A restaurant with mostly just show, terrible service and unclear pricing. The place looks good. Ribeye I ordered had to be cooked by myself (this wasnt clear at the time of order), side dishes were way too salty and the waiter yelled at me for telling them the sides were bad. They just took them away and forgot about it, so I just ate steak. They brought extras to the table that our group didnt order, after some yelling (by the waiter) they reimbursed them. Prepare for lots of smoke inside the restaurant!

The service is quick and pleasant, making it a delightful place to enjoy a meal while watching the world go by.
My local friends (retirees) recommended this restaurant and I really loved it. All the food was incredibly delicious. They have a daily menu, three courses at €11.90, so in my opinion it’s very affordable. The portions were quite large, but most of all really delicious. Service is fast and friendly. Would recommend. Locos Beach, located north of Torrevieja's center, is a spacious and popular spot known for its rentable chairs, restrooms, and lifeguard services. The beach offers a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with a promenade less crowded than other nearby beaches. It spans approximately 760 meters and features moderate waves that are ideal for water sports like bodyboarding. Families love the beach for its inflatable platforms and calm waters, perfect for spending the day with loved ones.
Very nice beach, clean. It is divided into two, a stone and a sandy one. On the right side from the stone pier, the beach is pedestrian and safe for children; On the left side the beach is stone, rather for adult people. In some places, on this side, there are metal stairs to go deeper into the water. The views are easy on the eye, warm... even very much. In the evenings, you could watch couples who created a beautiful atmosphere picnic on blankets. I will never forget this place. I was with my son for almost two weeks, but with temperatures close to 40°C, one week is enough; Children are not adapted to such heat, so high temperatures are very exhausting😊

Nice beach, careful of rocks in the water. There are fish to see, and water is not cold. After strong waves, be warned of small jellyfish in the seaweed on the left hand side of the beach.
Eddie Z — Google review
A lot of rocks on this beach, shoes recommended. The sand feels a bit grainier than on the Playa del Cura beach. There is a beach bar right at the beach if you are too tired to walk 20 meters across the street. There are also life guards patrolling the beach as well as, of course, people selling "Gucci for half price".

Maija I — Google review
I visited Parc Natural de la Mata in January 2024, and it was one of the main highlights of my trip to Torrevieja – though getting there was an adventure in itself! 😭 After seeing photos on social media of the famous pink salt lake with flamingos, I was incredibly excited to visit. On Google Maps it appeared to be a 45-minute walk from where I was staying, which I thought would be fine under the mild Spanish winter sun. How wrong I was – and honestly, what on earth is going on with Google Maps? 😩 My route ended up taking me along the edge of busy highways 😱 over a rather nerve-wracking bridge 😱 and through areas that really didn’t feel pedestrian-friendly. After surviving that stretch, I passed through some residential streets, only to find the green verge leading up to the park rather spoilt by an unfortunate abundance of dog mess 💩 Not the most charming welcome 👎 But once I actually entered the park, all was forgiven. Parc Natural de la Mata is a haven for wildlife, especially migratory birds, and the landscape here is wonderfully expansive – wide open stretches of wild vegetation, serene walking trails, and views that feel both raw and peaceful 💕 While the famous lake had only a blush of pink during my winter visit, and there were no flamingos in sight, I later learnt that the vibrant pink hues are at their strongest in summer, and flamingos are more likely to be present. Even without those Insta-perfect touches, the scenery was unique and captivating, unlike any other nature reserve I’ve visited. If you’re visiting Torrevieja, Parc Natural de la Mata is absolutely worth seeing – but if you’re not driving, I’d strongly recommend researching the safest walking or cycling route, or arranging a taxi, to avoid my “highway-hopping” experience. 😭 Come in summer if you want the pink lake and flamingos, but at any time of year, the park’s natural beauty makes it a place to remember.

Visited while on holiday for help and directions to the street market. Although the staff were friendly and helpful I was surprised that no one we spoke to spoke English so it didn't really help us. I just think that if you work in a information center in a popular tourist area you should have a better grasp of other languages

(Translated by Google) I edit my review because I was there yesterday, September 2nd, and I was amazed. Impressive how the water was, it looked like a swimming pool, transparent and clean water perfect for snorkeling. It is mandatory to bring booties and it is very difficult to stick the umbrella between the stones, it is advisable to take chairs or something comfortable to lie down on and not get stuck by the stones. If the weather or water is bad, it is better not to go down.

The place looks desolate. Only fewer than 50% of the stands are open. Most annoying thing is that a lot of the stands don't display prices and you only get to know the price at the last minute. I don't consider this to be a good practice. Prices seem elevated, definitely more expensive than in the supermarkets and even more expensive than in Madrid. Not what I would expect from a local market in a small seaside town.

A nice place in the city where you can see birds and calm down.
Marko L — Google review

Located just a short distance from the Casino, one can find the Vista Alegre Exhibition Hall. This venue offers visitors a choice between strolling along Boulevard Vista Alegre or wandering through alley Vistalegre. The Boulevard itself is a delightful pedestrian promenade that features not only shade-providing structures but also accommodations for those wishing to stay awhile. La Imprenta en Torrevieja is a small, privately owned museum showcasing an extensive collection of printing machinery and tools used in the city's historical printing presses. Run by owner Miguel Araez Suarez, the museum offers guided tours providing insights into the region's printmaking history over the past 60-70 years. In addition to printing artifacts, visitors can also explore vintage items such as old telephones and music players.
A wonderful museum, about printing and the history of Torrevieja, full of interesting items, privately owned and run by Miguel, who is happy to share his knowledge and enthusiasm.
Mark R — Google review
I find this small museum fascinating. The owner speaks English and he is an enthusiastic performer. Everyone is made very welcome and he allows people to use the machinery that he has. Not easy to find - I have struggled despite visiting Torrevieja every year for over 20 years, but well worth it. The museum has limited opening times, went up to two days a week last year (2019). Parking is a bit of a pig in this area.

I recommend everyone to come see it because it is a very careful exhibition due to the love that its owner shows towards all these treasures. (Translated by Google) It was a fantastic experience! Miguel has been working as a printer since the 1950s in his artisanal form, specializing in minervista and staking. He worked, among other things, in Sweden as a printer and speaks Swedish. He decided to save everything that could be forgotten as a result of new technology. Since 1888, he has kept a manual Minerva that belonged to the first printing press, as well as graphic material from other printing presses that have existed in Torrevieja. The museum contains a significant number of objects from the past: old sewing machines, telephones, suitcases, decorative objects and much more. Miguel demonstrated, among other things, how Minerva works and told about other exclusive objects in the museum. Recommended to visit this place!
