Luge Monty Express is a thrilling toboggan run in France, stretching 1.4km at an altitude of over 2100m. It's more like a downhill 'monorail' than a traditional snow track, offering an exhilarating experience with sleds equipped with brakes for safety. Visitors can enjoy the ride at an affordable price and have the option to control their speed during the descent.
This was the most fun mountain experience ever!! The luges are modern and fun, very well built with a safe system. You can go as fast or as slow as you want, and it feels completely safe. Very fun with our children and granpa also came down!!
Vanessa D — Google review
Some mention collisions, but the spacing between departures is actually well managed. If you're moving slowly down the track, don't be surprised if someone catches up to you. The descent is thrilling, well-marked, and the staff gives clear instructions before departure. The braking system is easy to use, even for beginners, and the sharp turns are clearly indicated. 👍 However, the seat is hard, and after each steep drop, you're thrown backward. You finish the ride with your lower back in pieces. 🥴

Great fun activity. A nice little break from the ski day.
Ian — Google review
Super fun experience. 11,90€ (per adult) will get you up to the top with a funicular and down with the toboggan. Full control of speed with some fun little drops and hard turns
Nathalie R — Google review
A super fun Alpine coaster, a little bumpy at certain doors, but mostly smooth and nice!!

Ski resort
Nestled near the Italian border, Montgenèvre is a charming ski resort that boasts a rich history as France's oldest ski destination, having opened its doors to winter sports enthusiasts in 1907. This picturesque village beautifully marries the rustic charm of traditional mountain architecture with modern skiing facilities. Visitors can admire landmarks that reflect its cultural heritage, including an iconic church tower inspired by Italian design, which stands as a guiding light for travelers amidst fog and snow.
Amazing, beautiful place to ski. There are green, blue, red black zones for any skier. Views and fresh air is just breath taking. Ski pas 49 euro, skii rent not expensive. Family friendly. Maybe not so good for someone who is going to ski to party. Lots of snow. Bus transfer is there which makes it more convenient. Can also Cross counties to Italy and back to France. Switzerland is not far away also.
Julia M — Google review
Makes up part of the Milky Way and only a short coach journey away from Italy, or if you have time you can take the ski journey over from Sauze to Montgenevre. The small town offers some nice restaurants and a host of slopes on either side of its main street.
Matt T — Google review
Extraordinary ski resort, perfectly connected, different levels of slopes, I would say its intermediante to expert level ski resort, with a lot of hard red slopes and long black slopes. Also, if you'd like to ski in Italy, its prrfectly connected to it , too (You can literally go to Sestriere without taking your skiis off)
Milos M — Google review
What a fantastic ski resort. A very warm welcome from everyone. There was a real family/ community feel around the place. The slopes are great and well maintained and the lifts and tows first class. There are numerous hotels and B&Vs from reasonably priced to very expensive depending on your budget so something for everyone. The transport to and from surrounding airports is good and reasonably priced. We used Snow Cabs who were fantastic. Friendly helpful drivers who had a wealth of information at their fingertips. We tried 2 recommendations, Caesars for a Pizza evening and The meal on the mountain, which incorporated being collected for our accommodation, a ride on a snowmobile up a red run to a Restaurant in Italy, a fantastic meal then the return snowmobile down the mountain and being delivered home. A really delightful experience. Thanks to Ethan from Snow Cabs for those suggestions Overall January was a great time to visit, no queues, great food, perfect accomodation and friendly people. We will go back.
Dave C — Google review
This is my first time skiing. First day I was a sitter....I am now doing turns on day 4. Highly recommended for beginners. The skiing in the area goes up to black runs and is stunning
Rob R — Google review
Busier and more expensive than the close by Italian resorts of Sestriere, Sansicario and Sauze d'Oulx. The piste management is good with better quality lifts and some fun off piste skiing to be had. The Gondran bowl is a great area with good views back to Mont Chaberton, and if you like your history the gondran forts and fort Janus are easy to find and explore. The skiing on the south facing slopes of Montgenevre are much more prone to going slushy and sugary, so best avoid in the afternoons.
Erik B — Google review
2nd time I've been here and I love it! The town folks are very friendly. The community is very inclusive and always there to help. Got to go to little caesars for a monster steak! (Cash only restaurant) this place is now my go to ski holiday.

Mont Chaberton, a striking pyramid-shaped mountain soaring to 3,131 meters in the Cerces massif, is a must-visit for outdoor enthusiasts. The area offers an exhilarating hiking loop that connects various passes and peaks, including the Fort du Mont-Chaberton—a historic fortress from the 19th century. This site not only provides fascinating insights into its military past but also rewards visitors with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Those pictures were taken the 18th of October 2020, so you will need some gadgets to help you reach the top, since there is some snow and in some parts of the track, it will be slippery. And you can see the view by yourself to judge how much beautiful it was!!

(Translated by Google) Considering the elevation of over three thousand meters, this ascent isn't overly difficult. While the route is long, it doesn't pose any technical challenges. The views are breathtaking, and the fort at the top is a piece of history. For a leisurely hike, it's worth allocating about seven hours round trip. Parking is available on the street almost right next to the trailhead... I recommend it, because even a bus driver who spends several hours a day managed it 😀 (Original) Jak na ponad trzy tysiące metrów wysokości to podejście nie jest przesadnie trudne. Church
Eglise Saint-Maurice stands as a remarkable symbol of Montgenevre's rich history, with roots that stretch back to the early 15th century. Originally constructed between 1422 and 1510, this French Catholic church was established under the guidance of Cardinal Brogny. Although it faced destruction at the hands of Duke of Savoy’s troops, it was lovingly rebuilt in the 18th century, showcasing stunning Italian architectural influences.

(Translated by Google) Certainly worth a visit. Church of St. Maurice The church of St. Maurice was built between 1422 and 1510. It is the oldest sanctuary in the city. Its construction is due to Cardinal Brogny, who died in May 1426, before its completion. It had been built as a chapel in a Dominican convent. The church is in Flemish-Savoyard style. The church of Saint Maurice is a French Catholic church, in the diocese of Gap and Embrun. The lantern (lantern) hanging from its bell tower makes it original. It served as a point of reference for visitors crossing the pass in bad weather. It was rebuilt in the 18th century after a fire and the bell tower spire was restored in 2007. Destroyed during the fire caused by the troops of the Duke of Savoy, then rebuilt in the 18th century, its architecture is of typically Italian influence. The bell tower is characteristic with its lantern, an exact copy of the oil lamp hanging from the original gallows, which guided travelers lost in the fog or snowstorm. Its quality furniture and typical architecture are a tourist attraction. Since December 2005, the restoration of the last section of the nineteenth-century frescoes has been completed. The church was also renovated in 2006 (Original) Merita certamente una visita. If you're heading to Montgenevre, make sure to check out Games in Forest, the first eco-responsible amusement park nestled in the stunning French Alps. This unique attraction offers a full day of unlimited activities divided into various themes, ensuring that everyone from thrill-seekers to those who prefer a more relaxed pace can find something enjoyable. Families will love the diverse experiences available; kids aged 2-4 can even enter for free!
🇬🇧 We have visited today, mum and kids age 11 and 7 while dad is on the VTT next to it. This place is GREAT!! I had thought kids price was €8 but that is kids 2-4 yrs so we paid €15 each BUT it has been worth it. You can get a wrist band for day re-entry and our kids couldn't wait to get back in after lunch. So far have spent 4 hours inside. For example, we did Nets Adventure in Sherwood forest last year which was £20 each and similar but Games in Forest is bigger and better with more parts and other attractions. Not busy on this Tuesday. Nice and shaded under the trees. A few lockers and a couple of picnic tables. I get the impression they are going to keep adding parts maybe? Great fun!

It's great to experience everything without a harness, and especially wonderful to see even the youngest children being able to move independently through virtually all the areas. The owners are friendly and very polite. At the entrance, there's a bar area with comfortable sofas and umbrellas...the perfect relaxation area for parents who aren't ready for adventure. (Original) SEMPLICEMENTE FANTASTICO!!! Gestori simpatici e molto educati. All’ingresso aree Bar con divani comodi e ombrelloni…perfetta zona relax per i genitori che non si lanciano all’avventura.

(Translated by Google) We had a great afternoon! We rediscovered our inner children thanks to the courses for young and old. The friendliness, the kindness towards our 4-year-old daughter, and the advice from Alexis and Elouan are a real plus for this park. We will come back with great pleasure! La Cave De Montgenevre offers a warm welcome and complimentary tasting aperitif featuring Beaufort cheese and pork tenderloin cooked in red wine. The cuisine showcases regional products in a rustic and friendly setting, making it a must-visit destination. Despite higher prices, the catering part delivers good quality dishes such as Savoyard fondue with morels, tartare duo, excellent duck breast, and popular pancakes. The tiramisu with caramel speculoos is highly recommended.
I’ve had an excellent gratin with a delicious Macon for a very reasonable price. The cold cuts and cheeses are also a delight and the hosts are great, friendly, smiling and helpful.

(Translated by Google) For the catering part no problem despite high prices, everything was good from the Savoyard fondue with morels to the tartare duo. The duck breast was excellent and the pancakes were a hit. Try the tiramisu with caramel speculoos. The wine on the other hand is very expensive in red and despite a good white the price can be off-putting (we had a wine merchant at the table). Good overall point about the service. (Original) Pour la partie restauration aucun problème malgré des prix élevés, tout était bon de la fondue savoyarde aux morilles au duo de tartare. Le magret excellent et les galettes ont plu. The area boasts diverse aspects that ensure good snow conditions, whether it's powder or soft spring corn. The summit provides a spectacular view of the Monginevro pass and surrounding mountains. Despite being marked by ski lifts and dirt roads, the summit remains relatively untouched.
Nice summit with a good view on Monginevro pass and a lot of mountains. Although the area is heavily marked by skilifts and dirt roads the summit remains quite untouched.
