Luge Monty Express is a thrilling toboggan run in France, stretching 1.4km at an altitude of over 2100m. It's more like a downhill 'monorail' than a traditional snow track, offering an exhilarating experience with sleds equipped with brakes for safety. Visitors can enjoy the ride at an affordable price and have the option to control their speed during the descent.
This was the most fun mountain experience ever!! The luges are modern and fun, very well built with a safe system. You can go as fast or as slow as you want, and it feels completely safe. Very fun with our children and granpa also came down!!
Vanessa D — Google review
Some mention collisions, but the spacing between departures is actually well managed. If you're moving slowly down the track, don't be surprised if someone catches up to you. The descent is thrilling, well-marked, and the staff gives clear instructions before departure. The braking system is easy to use, even for beginners, and the sharp turns are clearly indicated. 👍 However, the seat is hard, and after each steep drop, you're thrown backward. You finish the ride with your lower back in pieces. 🥴
Big D — Google review
Great fun activity. A nice little break from the ski day.
Ian — Google review
Super fun experience. 11,90€ (per adult) will get you up to the top with a funicular and down with the toboggan. Full control of speed with some fun little drops and hard turns
Nathalie R — Google review
A super fun Alpine coaster, a little bumpy at certain doors, but mostly smooth and nice!!
Ember F — Google review
This was such a fun thing to do, we did it twice, and as non skiers a quick way to get down the mountain

Les Terrasses De Montgenèvre is a modern spot with a big sun terrace featuring large wicker sofas and an attractive interior. It's one of the top choices for dining in the area, along with Les Chalmettes, Les Anges, La Bergerie, and Restaurant de l'Eau. The wide and uncrowded pistes make it an excellent choice for both beginners and advanced skiers.
Delicious food and lovely staff. Will definitely go back. I had a Coke, Hamburger and Lemon meringue tart (to share as it was huge!) all for €31. Bargain for the quality of food!
Maz — Google review
A huge thanks to Clement for his recommendation. Despite having spent numerous ski seasons in Montgenèvre we had never eaten in the restaurant. Only ever coffee stops. What a pleasant surprise, outstanding quality food, attentive and professional staff and a great atmosphere. We will be back on regular visits!
Mark L — Google review
Stunning views which can be viewed from inside as well as from the vast balcony outside. We skied there several times for lunch. Highly recommend.
Wendy D — Google review
A great place for a lunch with a great « café gourmand »
Nicolas B — Google review
Lovely view and delicious food! Highly recommend the tartiflette, mango cheesecake and lemon meringue pie 🤤🤤🤤
Tracey — Google review
Whilst the staff are polite, the management have instituted needless policies that take offence if you want to keep your gear near you, rather than next to the sign that says “we won’t take any responsibility if it’s stolen”. A much more sensible approach could be taken with no detriment to the atmosphere or service.
Antony M — Google review
If you ski, you should go here. , had an amazing time with my family and would thoroughly recommend
Mark J — Google review
Superb food. We had the plat du jour: delicious fish (cooked well) with rice and vegetables. For dessert the pineapple tarte tatin: very tasty,.with yummy rum-raisin ice-cream. Service middling - it's busy, and they struggle. Perhaps they'd have more time if the staff didn't have to go and dance to sudden, deafening club music every twenty minutes for people's birthdays or something. Completely kills the vibe of this beautiful mountain dining experience. (I don't mind the soft background music)

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming village of Montgenèvre, Le Transalpin stands out as a delightful dining option for those seeking an elevated culinary experience with an Italian twist. This restaurant is known for its exquisite dishes, such as chicken cooked in Marsala wine accompanied by beautifully arranged grilled vegetables. The ambiance is inviting and perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy a meal after a day on the slopes.
Beautiful restaurant, staff very helpful. Immaculate, warm and great food after a day on the slopes. Food was delicious - we had chicken masala in a lovely sauce, breaded pork was huge and tender and the steak was perfect and full of flavour.
Nikki H — Google review
We found the staff here to be quite rude. The waiter with tattoos clearly didn’t want to be working here, after pouring our wine he slammed the bottle down on the table, splashing one of our party with red wine. The lady waiter started clearing our plates before everyone had finished eating, she reached across someone who was still eating to clear another plate. It is a pity, as the food was pretty good, the pizza I had was excellent and the rest of our party seemed happy with their food.
Ben C — Google review
A very welcome addition to the Montgenevre restaurant scene - which was looking a bit sparse a few years back. Very nice food, friendly attentive staff, good drinks and wine list, a bright modern welcoming restaurant that had a nice buzz each night we ate there. One disappointment was we genuinely couldn’t find a starter we fancied, sorry, but the pudding menu more than made up for that disappointment - the lemon meringue pie delicious!
D S — Google review
First told they were full however we pressed and got a table. Ordered wine and prosecco, prosecco was flat and asked for it to be changed, staff said there wasn't anymore so was told it would be taken off the bill but the wait staff said drink it if we wanted to, not a problem. Food was good. When we came to pay, the guy taking payment was very rude and ruined what was generally a decent meal.
Joe G — Google review
Amazing pizza, amazing spritz amazing everything and owner is so so kind:)

Regular visitors to the resort and this restaurant and they never disappoint. Despite a range of allergies in our family, they were very accommodating and we all came away very satisfied. Difficult to pinpoint one dish but the artichoke burrata starter was incredible

Came here for lunch with a big group (10) in summer. Restaurant was packed so staff had to work hard to serve everyone, but did great. Food was really good, especially the chips, the kids pasta pesto and pizza crust was 5 star delicious. Defo would come again!

Spa
Spas & Wellness
Spa Nuxe Durancia is a wellness center located in Montgenevre, offering a range of facilities for relaxation and fitness. Despite some mixed reviews, visitors have found the pools, saunas, and changing areas to be clean and well-maintained. The spa features various amenities such as steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzis, and a heated outdoor pool with stunning views. Visitors have praised the friendly staff for their helpfulness and the overall cleanliness of the facilities.
Very good place to relax, the only negative thing is that the male and female change room aren’t divided but I think that is a French habit
Mandel 1 — Google review
⚠️AVOID!!!! It is the place to relax. It has a heated pool outside (this is the coolest), it has 2 saunas. the biggest shame is the locker room. Small wardrobes, children, women, men, all in one place. You can't take a slanderous shower. In winter, you come from skiing with children with winter jackets, fleeces, blankets, you have nowhere to put them, they have no hooks, you have nowhere to change... terrible. Ladies walk around in underwear, men wash at .... it is something miserable. 5-6 dryers for 20 people.... Avoid as much as you can!!!!
Grigorescu V — Google review
Not a big swimming pool, no option to swim, not many space for aqua massage. Saunas are spacious. Weird policy about "tight swimsuit" for men.
Siarhei B — Google review
It's a wonderful, clean and functioning pool, saunas, hot tubs etc. The adult area is worth the extra if you like saunas, but I'm not sure the extra is worth it personally. The adult outdoor pool has a much nicer view though and is warmer. It is pricey, but it's also good quality and good service. The gym is small, but practically empty and worth the €15 for the week.
Alexandra P — Google review
Fun thermal pools with many features, but fairly small. The most annoying thing is the fact that men are not allowed to wear shorts and we had to buy swim briefs. Also, there is a single locker room so you can't really take a shower, and you have to use the enclosed tiny changing rooms. They also have a weird policy about shoes and no flip flops allowed. It was fine but not great.
Vanessa D — Google review
Brilliant facilty to keep up the fitness on holiday, very clean with friendly, helpful staff and great views. Could improve the level of gym equipment however with a WattBike or Matrix spinner rather than the very basics
C C — Google review
beautiful facilities, very clean. steam room and sauna are perfect to relax in and relieve aching muscles, lazy river sends you flying around the place, so fun. jacuzzi nearly made me melt, and the heated outdoor pool is an incredible experience with an amazing view. good value for money, and all the staff are so friendly. Blondine was so helpful, really made it a beautiful experience. 🤍🤍
Keelin K — Google review
Very average. The majority of the spa appeals to families with little children so every area was more of a play zone than a relaxing spa. The hot tub wasn’t hot, slightly warm with bubbling jets pumping in cold water. The sauna and steam room could, at minimum, include a clock so you can see how long you’re in there, especially when the instructions on the doors tell you not to exceed 15 minutes. Really it’s very average but this is what there is in the town so just manage your expectations and at least the price is fair.

Le Caesar's is a restaurant that offers great value and high-quality food. Their lunch 3 course meal priced at 14.50 is particularly impressive. The owner and staff are also very pleasant. It's important to note that they only accept cash payments, so be prepared for that. This bar/restaurant caters to both locals and tourists, but it doesn't have a wide range of options for vegans, gluten-free eaters, or those with specific dietary needs.
Came three times during our week in Montgenevre. Delicious food at very good prices. Highly recommend the profiteroles for dessert. Friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit, or two, or three.
Hayley F — Google review
Great, intimate restaurant. Feels like a proper French bistro in the resort. Excellent prices, bring cash. Shout out to Mark for friendly service this last week.
Al T — Google review
Where to start - from the moment we stepped foot inside we received the warmest of welcomes, Mich and Sasha showed us to the table and produced a huge menu with local dishes and a superb value set menu. The result was that we are there 6 out of 7 nights - French onion soup and vegetable soups were delicious, boiling hot and very filling, some of the tastiest steaks we have ever had with a homemade pepper sauce, the duck with honey sauce was so tender and delicious, Le Briande was a wonderful mix of veg and meat with a béchamel sauce and cheese, the desserts were amazing and huge, my favourite being the grand marniér crépe that Mich lights in front of you. We always opted for the house wine which was very nice and great value, like the whole bill really, 3 of us eating 3 courses and drinking all night for never more than 80 Euros, and a beautiful shot of ginépé to finish. But for me, the fact that the owner would take no money from 2 students who ate there was beyond kindness. We were overwhelmed, as were they. We spoke to his staff and he takes great care of them, he’s highly amusing in a quiet way and with a full restaurant there is no rushing just smooth service and great food. Thank you all for making our holiday. Oh and I loved the duck salad too
Nikki H — Google review
I had pizza and it was good. Friends ordered other different dishes and they were all satisfied. Service is good and fast. It requires a reservation in advance.
Izadora B — Google review
Great lunch for warm up and hot meal and or evening meal for Racelette which is amazing best meal of the week 😀 At the bottom of the slopes within the village .
Sue V — Google review
Nice local restaurant. Enjoyed and very friendly owner
Remco M — Google review
Authentic little French restaurant serving great food at very fair prices. Highlights included the goats cheese salad, the tartiflette, the cote de beouf (massive) and the duck. Service was excellent, friendly and I would highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. 👍🏼
Rob F — Google review
Great value and good quality food. Their €14.50 lunch 3 course meal is particularly good. Owner and staff nice too. No cards - cash only so prepare. Bar/restaurant aimed as much at locals as tourists so do not expect large vegan/gluten free/specific dietary options. English menus are available. Great little restaurant with quality food at reasonable prices. 5 star

Amusement park

If you're heading to Montgenevre, make sure to check out Games in Forest, the first eco-responsible amusement park nestled in the stunning French Alps. This unique attraction offers a full day of unlimited activities divided into various themes, ensuring that everyone from thrill-seekers to those who prefer a more relaxed pace can find something enjoyable. Families will love the diverse experiences available; kids aged 2-4 can even enter for free!
🇬🇧 We have visited today, mum and kids age 11 and 7 while dad is on the VTT next to it. This place is GREAT!! I had thought kids price was €8 but that is kids 2-4 yrs so we paid €15 each BUT it has been worth it. You can get a wrist band for day re-entry and our kids couldn't wait to get back in after lunch. So far have spent 4 hours inside. For example, we did Nets Adventure in Sherwood forest last year which was £20 each and similar but Games in Forest is bigger and better with more parts and other attractions. Not busy on this Tuesday. Nice and shaded under the trees. A few lockers and a couple of picnic tables. I get the impression they are going to keep adding parts maybe? Great fun!

(Translated by Google) SIMPLY FANTASTIC!!! An adventure park that, unfortunately, I've never seen in Italy. For both adults and children, there's tons of fun on various courses created with nets. It's great to experience everything without a harness, and especially wonderful to see even the youngest children being able to move independently through virtually all the areas. The owners are friendly and very polite. At the entrance, there's a bar area with comfortable sofas and umbrellas...the perfect relaxation area for parents who aren't ready for adventure. (Original) SEMPLICEMENTE FANTASTICO!!! Gestori simpatici e molto educati. All’ingresso aree Bar con divani comodi e ombrelloni…perfetta zona relax per i genitori che non si lanciano all’avventura.

The ski school French Ski School Montgenèvre provided an exceptional experience during the week of 26/1-2/2 2019. With two instructors, Natalie and Thomas, they catered to both typical and special needs children. Natalie displayed a perfect blend of care and challenge with the Ourson group, resulting in remarkable progress for one child on their first ski trip.
Had the chance to visit the slopes Friday to Sunday and the weather was just perfect. In order to enjoy our time, we opted for a bundly of 2h-daily lessons with Davide, our instructor from ESF. We had skied just a couple times, but together we managed to face red slopes, skiing outside of the tracks and even going backwards (lol). This being said, Davide was fun and pushed us over our limit, patient in organising our start and ending of our lessons and clear aboout how to fix our technique. Will definitely try to call him back next time I am around!
Antonio F — Google review
3 kids and my wife did a full week of ski school. Finding the meeting point 1st day was very tricky. But after that all was okay. The ESF shuttle bus took us 3 days to find and start using. The kids teachers were all lovely. They were all so nice to them and had such a laugh. And the younger ones skiing came on loads. My wife never had a teacher that could speak English. And was told that she would have to pay an extra €45 per day if she wanted a teacher that could speak to her in English. So she didn’t get a word of understandable instruction for a week. So she got some practice in but didn’t get the change to improve much.
Adam R — Google review
Two years in row had lessons with ESF, with three different instructors how are all very capable and made me confident and improved my skills a lot. In general I found all the staff to be very relaxed and helpful, going for that extra mile. Special thanks to Martin, Oliver and Thibaut. With Martin we had to work around the conditions that we got, we needed to stay on the slopes, but he really helped improving my skills in making proper turns and keeping the right posture. With Oliver I had the blast that the conditions of snow were very good. We build the confidence on easier offpistes slopes to end with a decent to Braincon, which has been a epic experience! Thibaut guided my dad (110kg) down the slopes on a tandem. My dad cannot skihimself nor did he every tried it. Thibaut explains everything very well making my that more at ease in the tandem then on a chair at home! My dad had the experience of a life time. Thanks ESF Montgenèvre, you all rock!

Had a fab 2 hour lesson with Lalou. Lovely man and not only very knowledgeable but an excellent instructor. An absolute credit and a great asset to your company. Defo 10/10😀👍⛷️
Mike S — Google review
Thibaut is a wonderful instructor who make our skiing experience in Montgenevre perfect. He was so kind, patient and understanding, as a very nervous skier I felt immediately calm. He tailored our lessons to ensure my two sons were happy whilst waiting for me to catch them up! Thibaut is a credit to ESF and we would love to visit again to ski with him. Thank you so much.
Sally R — Google review
Had a great week of lessons with the ESF. Matthieu took the kids. They came back every day having had lots of fun and better skiers too. It hasn’t always been like this, so Matthieu clearly did a great job. Olivier looked after the adults. We had such a great few days adapted to the weather and snow conditions, doing some avalanche training, off-piste, ski-touring and a family day trip to Sestriere / Sauze Doux. Olivier was also full of knowledge of the local area which made our week all the more interesting. As in previous years both our instructors spoke excellent English and wanted us to have a fun and safe time. Thanks to Olivier, Matthieu and ESF Montgenevre.
James L — Google review
What a great ride it has been! I took private lessons to learn to ski at ESF Montgenèvre. After having had a few bad group starting lessons a few years ago, my confidence was very low and my anxiety level very high. Monitor Olivier took me under his wings, followed my pace and needs, while still taking me to the right level and learning me the right competences at each stage. And the most important part of it: he made me love skiing. After one day, I could already hit the slopes with my family. Looking forward to come back to Montgenèvre next time and level up the skills.
