Fine dining restaurant
New American restaurant
PinPoint Restaurant, located in downtown Wilmington, offers a refined take on traditional Southern recipes using locally sourced ingredients. The quaint space is adorned with art and has gained a massive following since its opening in 2015. The menu, crafted by Chef Dean Neff, features New American meals with a focus on seafood dishes. Diners can enjoy unique offerings such as hummus made with North Carolina butterbeans and baked oysters topped with local shrimp.
Incredible food. Everything was good, and I'm not being hyperbolic. The housemade pickles were great, oysters were incredible, and the entrees were interesting. Drinks were just okay, but they have a big menu so there's lots of options to choose from and customize. The service was amazing. I spent an anniversary dinner here, and it was perfect for the occasion. Would absolutely come back again.

I live out of town and found myself here twice in one month. SO good. The service was right on, super friendly. All I can say is, the tomato salad, summer squash, pickle plate, fried fish, beef tartar, lobster ceviche, cookie butter ice cream, candy car dessert, and the blonde brownie were simply fantastic.
Emily V — Google review
food was fantastic, love the spontaneity of a daily changing menu. pickle plate was on the sweeter, denser side, i personally prefer a softer more tart pickle. beef tartare was finely ground with aromatic flavor, yum. mushroom toast was immaculate, black garlic jus with the steak was my favorite part of the meal. absolutely a must. ryan was so kind and insightful, we'll be back! thank you for a great meal :)

Love PinPoint and it is the go to for date night. Service is always fantastic and waiters are knowledgeable, providing the best recommendations. Always fresh, seasonable ingredients and the menu is constantly changing to highlight the local catch. I cannot recommend it enough!,

Fantastic experience. The owner was wonderful, atmosphere was perfect, and service was wonderful. After excellent drinks, we went with the waiter's ( Devin) suggestions. Looking forward to trying everything, but will need to get those delicious drinks and Shrimp appetizer and raw oysters again soon!!!

Went here last night for the first time and was so impressed. Was greeted promptly and directed to our seats. The knowledge of the Menu that Mark showed, the belief in the product, and the stellar service throughout did not go unnoticed. The food was the best food I’ve had in a very long time. Hats off to the staff and chef!
Marina M — Google review
A friend suggested we go for 1/2 price apps.. Its a daily menu with some changes each day... 5-7 Tuesday-Friday I think... We sat at the bar, even though neither of us drink booze, and the bartender was very courteous and made a mocktail for my friend... The manager was equally friendly 👍They served housemade Sourdough & butter... I had the Roasted Pumpkin Salad which was DEEEELISH, Pimento Cheese Dip with Crostini, and the Chorizo with Blistered Peppers 🌶 The chorizo was a little crispy for my liking, but DEELISH and I ate it all 😉 Be prepared that the Dip is served cold, but still very yummy... We shared the Bread Pudding for dessert 😋 A bunch of things on the menu I'd still like to try. I'll be back 😃

What an incredible dining experience! The food was outstanding, but what really stood out to me was the staff and their knowledge + enthusiasm about each dish. When you step into Pinpoint, you immediately feel seen in a good way. If you haven’t been to Pinpoint yet, this is your sign!

Banquet hall
Indochine Restaurant in Wilmington, NC offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on traditional and contemporary Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. The restaurant is known for its exotic setting filled with art, including an outdoor garden and gazebos. Indochine is dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, nutrition, and presentation of their dishes. Their nutriceutical cuisine philosophy emphasizes the health benefits of meals rich in fiber, minerals, fresh vegetables, and herbs.
This place was recommended by a local for a unique experience with amazing food. We were amazed by the place, gift shop and food! We were lucky to have sat outside and was even covered when it started raining. Great service from Adam and his recommendations. The food was amazing and so was the dessert! It was really busy on the middle of a Saturday, so be prepared to wait when coming here. I will say it was worth it!! Check this place out for amazing Thai and Vietnamese food!! We will be back :)
Evan K — Google review
We drove over five hours to dine here, mainly for the outdoor seating and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience started a bit rocky. The hostess who greeted us wasn’t particularly friendly, and after requesting outdoor seating, we ended up waiting nearly an hour—only for the rain to force the patio to close. We were eventually seated indoors in a separate section from the main dining area at a half-booth table that felt cramped for six adults. Also, be aware the restaurant only has one restroom stall per gender, so lines can form. On the positive side, our waiter was outstanding, fast, friendly, and very accommodating. The sweet and sour chicken was excellent, with a sauce that was among the best I’ve ever had. The shrimp and scallops were tasty, though they could have used a bit more sear. We sampled a few desserts, and every one of them was fantastic. Overall, the food not only looked great but also delivered on flavor.
Josephine H — Google review
The atmosphere and service was fantastic!!! Our server was super fun and helpful, we bought a cake to celebrate and they kept it in back for us and brought it out at the end of the meal. While waiting to be seated I highly recommend exploring around the restaurant as there is so much to see. The food was amazing bit different than the Thai food we are familiar with, I wasn't wowed by it but it wasn't bad either. I would definitely come back and try something new.
Garrett — Google review
This place was very special and one of the most unique restaurants I've eaten at. To start, the menu and food were most Asian inspired and had special spices and herbs in clouded with it. The taste of the food and the way it was presented were delicious, specially made, and the decorations were very pretty and classy. The service was very constant, nice attitude, and provided everything needed throughout the meal. Had a smile on her face and she was nice to talk with and explained the menu items and sized portions very well. The atmosphere was very pleasant, special, and not loud. The most unique was the Asian decorations I side a d the absolutely beautiful garden outside and the setup. It was like an Asian city on the outside and had outside huts you could sit and eat at. It was beautiful to observe. Even the bathrooms were art gems with scenic visuals of towns illustrated, and were clean. If you like Asian Thai food a d exotic sceneries, this is the place you should try out.

This Indochine Restaurant off Wayne Drive in Wilmington has a great atmosphere and the food is absolutely fabulous. On this particular evening, our table for 8 was in the outside garden near the koi pond. A very enjoyable stroll to our table. Our party ordered several appetizers, but I didn't get my camera out fast enough before everyone started digging in. I was able to get a decent picture of our appetizer sampler, but please be aware some of the appetizers were gone before I could get the picture. My entree was the Hokkien Hot Noodles. This was a very good choice on my part, but everyone's entree at our table looked delicious. They do the call ahead thing and they get busy, but if you want a very unique dining experience with fabulous food, you really should give Indochine Restaurant a try.

Three of us visited on Sunday Nov.16th at approx. 5:15 p.m. Had outdoor hut. *APPS: 1) CALAMARI- Perfectly fried but bland and no marinara sauce (Thai sweet/sour sauce and also another sauce served). 2) CRAB ANGELS (AKA crab ragoons)- DELICOUS. Favorite thing we ordered. *ENTREES: 1) SALMON- bland. 2) HOKKEIN HOT NOODLE BOWL- NOT SPICY HOT. Thick sweet sauce. 3) VIETNAMESE WRAPS- The meat on a stick was good and that's about it. There were 3 of us and no one said "this is soooo good" etc...I could see the disappointment on their faces. *COCKTAILS: 1) NAGA KNOCKOUT- Watery and bland. 2) PURPLE DRAGON-Watery, bland, and zero sweetness. *SERVICE: Not once asked how things tasted. Never refilled the 2 cokes but he did refill my tea. He was not engaging and was impatient. I saw 3 servers outside and saw none of them conversing with the customers. They did not smile or act happy. He did know the menu well and offered suggestions. Appetizers came out quickly. Entrees took approx. 30 minutes and were luke warm. *ATMOSPHERE: Dazzling, peaceful (lots of noisy children though), fairy-like, romantic...Beautiful coy in pond with food available to feed them. String lights not working where we were seated. About 15 minutes from closest beach and 7 minutes to the Riverwalk. *PRICE: $127 + 20% tip = $151 Would only return if in the area (live 2hrs away) because of the relaxing outdoor environment. AND, would only get appetizers, soup or salad. NO to the entrees🤢
Tamara — Google review
Virginia our server was EXCELLENT! I had the Yum Yum Chicken that she recommended and it surely didn’t disappoint. My wife had the Appetizer Sampler which was just as good, and it was more than enough for her lunch. Sit outside, it’s well worth the wait. We will be back for sure.

Very popular restaurant! There was a long line waiting to eat when they opened, so I knew the food must be good. They did not disappoint! This yellow curry had amazing flavor. Really cool decorations and outdoor seating in the garden. A little gift shop with some cool stuff, too.

The made my day!! I suddenly found this place, walking down the street and just got a seat. Appreciate server Jamie 🫶 She has a great attitude, knows what to suggest and was very sweet in general! The food was great! Fresh&healthy! Loved it! Highly recommend as they have GF options
Alex Z — Google review
This is a cool place with a lot of potential! My family and I have popped in for a late lunch. Tried to order them from the brunch menu, but a lot of items were sold out which is a good sign! That tells me that they typically make fresh and seasonal items. My wife ordered the hot mess burger. I ordered the music city chicken sandwich. And my kids share chicken tenders and fries. We also had duck wings as an appetizer! So I wasn’t wild about the duck wings, but I’m not holding that against them. It was my first time ever having them so I don’t really have anything to judge them with. Onion rings, french fries, and macaroni and cheese for our sides all phenomenal mac & cheese was probably a 10 out of 10! Portions generally are huge and generous! What I wasn’t wild about it was the service it’s a small place and we just felt very unattended. Had to wait for refills. Also seen waitresses on their phone the entire time. I would definitely come back and update this review after I have brunch!

We enjoyed our evening @ The Fork ‘N’Cork .. The food was delicious & the Service was also .. Did not get the name of the hostess- but she was sure on top of her game … very friendly, helpful to her team mates- bussing tables - on this Friday night… it started to get busy .. get there early.. it was so hot out… hard to sit outside.. and the hostess was very accommodating.. our server .. was Bailey .. also … really on top of it ! She gave us great service.. very attentive… the food was great- and very reasonably priced! Will be back sooner than later !

I give this stop a 5 out of 5. I haven't had this kind of service and hospitality from a place in a long time. The bar tender, Katie, was sweet and made fantastic drinks and the cooks were on point with their cooking! If you are in the area I HIGHLY recommend this spot for some grub!
Zachary M — Google review
We tried several items from the menu but overall we left unimpressed Brisket side : dry, flavorless and honestly we didn't eat it after a taste The wellington bites, the only sorta good dish we had here, however after sitting a while in the dish it gets soggy, and the meat overcooked. So take it out into your plate but don't burn yourself. Corned beef hash platter, bread was good, meat was good, missing veggies like onion and peppers imo, little over cooked eggs as well not runny . The cheese appetizer we were hoping would be melting gooey cheese was actually just hard rubbery / crunchyish cheese that was rough to cut and really covered in oil. NOT DIPPABLE at all. Service was good.

2,500 reviews can’t be wrong! This place is always amazing. They have delicious and unique specials and make everything fresh in-house. We have dined here numerous times over the years and brought family and friends with us and never have I heard a negative comment. Tonight’s special was chicken fried chicken with sawmill gravy. It was the perfect blend of savory, spice and crispy that made me need to post about it. The space is intimate which adds to its character and charm.
Paul B — Google review
Absolute best wings I’ve ever had. Fall off the bone with the most delicious buffalo sauce. Even better: they were only $0.75/ea on Monday afternoon! Can’t get better than that! Definitely check them out if you’re in downtown! Note: the seating is limited, so if you have a large party there might be a wait or you’ll need to sit outside.
Sarah H — Google review
Cozy brick interior and fantastic food! It's a small space, so seating can be an issue and reservations are recommended for dinner. A small selection of beers on tap and some interesting mixed drinks, but everything on the food menu is worth a try! The burgers come highly recommended and the wings are fantastic. We also loved the brussel sprouts.

The Copper Penny is a lively saloon located in Wilmington's historic downtown, offering nightly food and drink specials along with a wide selection of microbrews. This family-friendly restaurant serves up delicious pub food, including juicy cheeseburgers, hot French fries, crispy chicken, and piled-high sandwiches. The venue also offers various mixed beverages, beers, appetizers, salads, and sandwiches for both dine-in and takeout options.
Bar right off the main drag in downtown. Great bar atmosphere and very popular. There are a good bit of seats and bar seating however it does get busy and sometimes there is a wait for a table. The bar was first come first serve. I will say even though it was so busy we got our food quite quick. Lots of local beers and craft cocktails. The food was great, the service was top notch. We will return.

Went here a little while ago. They do have some good bar food. They have a decent espresso martini. For the meal I got the Cheese Steak Spring Rolls, you get 6 of them, which had a nice crunch to it and the steak was cooked nicely. I then got for my main meal the 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was really filling and a good flavor. I would recommend this place to anyone on a stroll in the downtown area.
Colin C — Google review
The food was amazing! I had the 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich, seriously SO good!!! And the coleslaw? Best I’ve ever had. Wish they were on Uber Eats so I could order from my hotel whenever I’m in town!!!

Holy Moly!!! This local gem is unassuming from the outside, but is an amazing spot for a meal! Every single thing we had was delicious, the onion rings were the best we've ever had, the entire meal at the top of our favorite spots. We all left with full and happy bellies! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The owner stopped by to check in as well and chatted for a few minutes, making us feel welcome and like family. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in town. Highly recommend to everyone.

The Copper Penny was recently recommended by a friend and so I went on a Monday night and they were really busy, but we scored seats at the bar. The staff at the bar taking care of us and all the other patrons were great and always on-point! The menu is incredible! It’s loaded with the typical pub-type stuff, but is made so elevated compared to what you might be used to. They do have some interestingly unique items as well. I had a tough time deciding, but the items I did choose were incredible! Their 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich was excellent! I don’t like mushrooms, so I got jalapeños in lieu of them and that was a much better way to go! The chicken was thinly sliced and the bread was soft and incredible – It all came together amazingly well! I can see why it was featured on DDD!!! Their onion rings are INSANELY HUGE! They were thick too! The sauce that came with them was very tasty to dip into and the batter was light and excellently seasoned! Their wings are also perfect! Meaty and packed with flavor. You can get two sauces on them, so we got Fire Dry Rub and Honey Chipotle. Both of these flavors were great and both were nicely spiced. Definitely worth visiting here!!

Service was amazing!! Thank you, Jennifer!! The food was delicious!! We got there at 5:35pm and sat down right away at a great corner booth, but after us people were having to wait. We enjoyed super crispy wings, the hot honey chicken sandwich, hand breaded chicken tenders, fries, and a Greek salad with Greek vinaigrette. We spent $100 for 4 people.

Omg! Guy Fiere did not lie!! This place is amazing. I live 3.5 hours away but would happily drive just to go to this restaurant. I can't get the taste of the philly cheese steak egg roll and that lump crab cake out of my mouth or brain.

I am not particularly fond of pork or onion rings. However, the onion rings were quite enjoyable, though nothing extraordinary. The roasted pork sandwich and the BBQ wings were also delicious.

French restaurant
Lounge
Caprice Bistro, located on Market Street, has been serving traditional French cuisine since 2001. This cozy bistro has earned a reputation as one of the top romantic restaurants in the country. The ambiance is refined and elegant, with a cozy yellow space and a pressed-tin ceiling. Diners can enjoy French delights such as mussels, crepes, parmesan-dusted calamari, and escargot with Roquefort cream.
Super cute and quaint bistro. The service was excellent. Beautiful location. I do have to say the special mushroom and leek Mac and cheese was amazing. Easily one of the best macs Ive ever had and I dont even like mushrooms!!!

Tried this restaurant a week ago for dinner. They helped us with a table quickly and got us in without a reservation. The service was chaotic, I had to ask for the waiter many times, ordered a beer that never showed up until I persisted and then wrong food showed up which had to be corrected so my wife ended up finishing her meal while I wait for my food; this could be a honest mistake, however, overall I was not pleased with the service. The food tasted good and comes hot to your table so it’s not sitting there. I wouldn’t mind going back and trying the profiteroles with the ice cream as that’s what we wanted 😃

4.5 ⭐️ Ate here to celebrate our anniversary. Set upstairs and it’s a lovely atmosphere. Had the featured fish, mahi mahi which was potato encrusted with a buerre blanc sauce on bed of rice and veggies. Started with arugula salad (featured). Salad was huge! Fish was fab! Also had the rabbit sausage app. All wa yummy and would definitely go again and recommend!!

Nicholas was amazing to us ! We had a group of 4 visiting from Georgia and he gave us great recommendations, happy hour was amazing we got about 3 orders of the 7$ mussels and the steak and frites and everything was so perfectly cooked ! We ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert and it was spectacular. The cocktails that Nicholas made were amazing will deff be coming here again thank you !

We had a memorable anniversary dinner here. Over the years, their quality has been consistently EXCELLENT! Thoroughly enjoyed their Cou rouge salad, mussels marinières and steak frites!! Wonderful cocktails and wines too! Little bit noisy - even on Thursday evening - because they are so popular and so good!!

Love this restaurant! They have a great bar upstairs and they make the most delicious cocktails! The food is equally great, although we didn't eat on our last vist, just went in for drinks. If you happen to visit Wilmington NC this restaurant is top notch in the downtown/Cape Fear river area. Don't hesitate to try this great restaurant.
Dawn D — Google review
Caprice was my intro to food in downtown Wilmington and did not disappoint. We had the fish special of the day which was really good and the Waterzooi which I can absolutely see why its the house speciality. The cook on all the fish is great, the stew is so yummy. I like a chowder so I expected to enjoy it but it exceeded my expectations. I also love a good crème brûlée and this was that. It was so smooth and the flavor was perfect. Would definitely stop by again! Only thing I'd change, is I'd get a 6pm reservation and stop by the bar for bar bites first. Also definitely recommend coming on Thursday for the cocktail specials.
Caryn M — Google review
We had dinner at Caprice Bistro in downtown Wilmington and really enjoyed the overall experience. We ordered the Carolina Mountain Trout, Mussels du Jour, Waterzooi, and the Pork Chop Forestier. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, but I was a bit disappointed that the wild mushroom sauce on the pork chop came in such a small portion, it left me wanting more! For dessert, we finished with macarons and crème brûlée, both of which were excellent. The only downside was that the service was on the slower side, which took away from the experience. Overall, great food and cozy atmosphere. I just wish the service was a bit quicker and the sauce portion more generous!

Southern restaurant (US)
The Basics is a cozy bistro located in The Cotton Exchange, Wilmington, offering a modern twist on traditional Southern cuisine. Known for its ginger-laced crab cakes and mustardy lamb chops with Vidalia jam and wild mushroom risotto, this spot prides itself on from-scratch cooking and a talent for reinventing classic recipes.
I lived in Wilmington back in the ’90s and recently came back for a visit from London. I was really impressed with Basics for brunch—delicious food, friendly and attentive service, and an overall warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great brunch spot. I only wish I had more time to try their dinner menu—hopefully next time!

Came in for lunch on a weekday and they weren’t busy at all… it was right after they switched to lunchtime that I arrived, but by the time I left, they were getting busy. I sat at the bar and started with a cup of Brunswick Stew. The stew was very flavorful, but was so thick, it didn’t resemble a soup nor strew, it was more like a casserole. I then went with their chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread. The chicken salad was just ok. I bit into something hard, maybe a bone and the overall flavor of it was more on the bland side. The potato cake that came with it was the best thing I ate there. It was very tasty. Overall, I wasn’t as impressed based on what I expected from all the positive reviews I read.

I accidentally found my way to the Basics while here in a work trip. From the moment I walked in I knew I made a good choice. Easy relaxed and comfortable. From my server Kindell being so welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu to the house wine selection I was already impressed. Then the menu was solid. I had a hard time deciding but settled on the nightly specials. It was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. Fresh local ingredients and thoughtful presentation and preparation. Can’t wait to return. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Small dining space so people are greeted outside...sonif there is a line, know there is no lobby in restaurant. People seemed friendly and attentive. They also seem to work as a team so cant imagine much gets dropped here. Cobb salad was good. Really enjoyed the smoked chicken and guacamole turned out to be a great touch! Tomato soup had a great flavor but consistency was more like pizza sauce. Wouldn't recommend. Mac and cheese was simple and delicious. Appreciated the melted cheddar on top.

Basics absolutely lives up to its name — simple, clean, and perfectly executed! The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive, and everything feels effortlessly put together. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, coffee, or just hanging out, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer. Consistency, quality, and comfort — Basics nails all three. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had lunch here last week. The service was great and the food awesome! I had an oyster po boy and the bread was great and the sauce and oysters very tasty! also had the Brunswick stew. Would good back if we were in town again.

The Basics, located in the Cotton Exchange is a popular restaurant with excellent food and service. The chefs come up with many unique dishes. The wait staff are attentive. The Basics offers inside and outdoor dining. Their Sunday brunch is popular.

I love this place. It is my go-to for breakfast downtown, and I go at least once a week. Lunch and dinner are amazing too, but I don’t get to enjoy those as often. The food is high quality, fairly priced, and consistently delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient, and genuinely want you to enjoy your experience. It’s one of few scratch kitchens around, meaning they make everything on their menu that they can from scratch. No heat and eat from Sysco here! If you want to go for brunch on the weekend, make a reservation or be prepared for a small wait. Love this place and these folks! Show this long-standing local business some love!

Catch is a restaurant in Wilmington that offers a contemporary dining experience with a focus on seafood. The establishment boasts a nautical-themed backdrop and features a bar. The chefs at Catch, including James Beard semi-finalists for Best Chef: Southeast, are known for their creative take on local seafood, using fresh ingredients from small-scale farms and fishermen. Additionally, the restaurant offers Neapolitan-style woodfired pizza and dishes inspired by Spanish, Italian, and New Orleans flavors.
Impressed! Very impressed. We ate here last night with a party of 8 of us. The menu is not extensive, offering just a selection of several seafood dishes and a choice of ribs wirh fried shrimp. There were also a few apps and 3 salads. We pretty much ordered everything. There was not a single miss among the variety of dishes. Every single bite of every dish was nothing short of perfection. The fried seafood was lightly battered with a balance of salt and spice. Even the ribs were spot on. Catch has to be on your list if you are in the area or make the drive just for this experience. It's that good!

Catch was the highlight of our trip to Wilmington. Every dish we had was incredible, from the table bread with that delicious sauce to the tempura lobster. The service was also great. Everyone was very kind and if we asked for anything tried to make it happen for us. We had a couple of cocktails as well and they were both delicious. Was I surprised when I looked up that the chef was on Top Chef? No, I was not. 10/10. Dish specifics - The crab cakes truly don’t have filler. Fresh, delicious, and the mashed potatoes are velvety and pair with the lobster sauce impeccably - The ribs are fall of the bone tender, the sauce is flavorful and delicious and the sides are great. We asked for hot sauce with the collards cause we wanted a little kick and the staff gave us a heads up it wasn’t really spicy if we liked our collards that way. We got the shrimp grilled and the way you could taste the smokiness on them, plus perfect texture, loved it. - The tempura lobster is a dish I will think about for a while. I honestly was a little skeptical of the flash fry of the lobster but that texture was PERFECT. The tempura was light but added a fantastic crunch, and the pasta with it was so rich and yummy. - We finished out with the sticky bun cake and it was so yummy. We asked for milk to go with it and while they dont have that on the menu they made it happen for us

Upon arriving this little restaurant doesn’t look like much on the outside, but inside is a gorgeous fine dining setting that feels cozy and luxurious. This was one of the best meals I’d ever had in my life. The food was clearly made with care by a chef that knows flavor, texture, and presentation. Our server, Robert, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Next time I find myself in Wilmington I will definitely be dining here again. I ordered the fried okra appetizer and tempura lobster with broccoli and macaroni. 11/10 recommend!

This hidden jewel was recommended to us by a local merchant. We were delightfully impressed by the cuisine. Don’t let the store front fool you. Behind their doors is an award winning chef and her perfectly balanced pastry chef of a daughter. This place is a must visit!!

April 19, 2025: Last night we had reservations at the first place we visited for dinner 5 years ago when we still lived in Lumberton! A James Beard nominated chef and much more. After we moved here 3 years ago we went back and it became our go to restaurant for special occasions! Celebrating our anniversary we returned here for a great dinner starting with fancy drinks followed by Octopus Mofongo and Oysters on the half shell. My wife had Soft shell Crab and I had Grouper! Dessert was Butter Milk Pie made by the owners daughter! The creativity of the Chefs and the quality of the entrees is always top notch and complemented by the staff. Our serverJen and other servers team up to make sure the evening was a great success! Prior visit: Dinner at Catch last night started with a complimentary champagne with blueberries followed by a Manhattan for me and Vodka Martini for my husband followed by a dozen oysters from 3 different locations, Grouper special for me and Tuna for my husband then a crème brûlée to share! Our server Robert was great and this restaurant is our favorite go to place for special events. The quality of the food and ambiance of this restaurant is not matched in Wilmington. Prior experiences: Went to "Catch" after 4 years. One of the first places we visited when living in Lumberton and on a vacation weekend. James Beard Award winner and worth the visit! Started with Smokey Old Fashion and Martini with Blue Cheese Olives and 2 different oysters! My wife had ribs and shrimp with sweet potato brûlée and collards and I had Drunkin Noodles with egg plant, Bok Choy and lobster.

Came from out of town on the suggestions of a friend. I was amazed and excited to hear the specials includes grilled mofongo octopus and ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes. The drink was the day was a watermelon crush with local tequila. It was the best drink I’ve had in a very long time! The food, drinks were outstanding!! The service was very kind and knowledgeable. The food was so darn good!!! I’ll definitely be back.

Ceviches is a popular Panamanian restaurant in Wilmington, known for its Latin-inspired cuisine and vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant originally started as a small cafe but quickly expanded due to its warm reception. The menu features traditional Latin American dishes like ropa vieja and arroz con pollo, alongside innovative offerings such as langoustine cakes and mojo-rubbed ribs. However, the highlight remains the selection of citrus-cured raw fish, particularly the irresistible ceviche.
Absolutely blown away with the quality, freshness, presentation and service. We were recommended this place by a fishing guide, and the recommendation did not disappoint. The ceviches were excellent. The guacamole is incredible. The watermelon salad is one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. All around, this is the best dinner I’ve ever had the WB area.

Ceviche’s in Wilmington was a great stop for lunch en route to Kure Beach. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the place wasn’t busy. For food, we got: Caribbean Fried Oysters: The cornmeal oysters were delectable and went well with the aioli that came with it. Mango Guacamole: Chips and flavorful guacamole with bits of mango in it made for a wonderful snack too. The chili powder on top elevated the flavor too! They were kind enough to restock our chips. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos: The Mahi-mahi fish was cooked perfectly and the slaw, guacamole and lime crema were added in just the right proportion. It made for an excellent and delicious entree. The accompanying coconut rice tasted fresh. Langoustine Roll: Imagine a soft hotdog filled with langoustine ceviche, fresh arugula and pickled jalapeño—it tasted delicious and was another great entree. The drinks—Fresca ensalada and the Tropical Lightning IPA—provided just the right kick accompanying the meal. We sat on the back patio—which was a bit uncomfortable with the sunlight directly streaming down the glass panes. We realised later that we should’ve sat inside instead. Their other menu items looked interesting and piquant too, ranging from empanadas to soups, salads, and tacos. The Panamanian vibe is in the air too, which is what they rightly advertise themselves as. Restrooms were clean, and parking was available outside. Our server was kind enough to check on us multiple times. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Ceviche’s, and highly recommend it!

Ceviche’s Restaurant was an amazing dining experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, every dish we tried was delicious. Great experience overall, will definitely be back. This was our first time here and every dish was great. From the cocktails to the ceviche and the main dishes, it was a great authentic experience. We sat at the bar for dinner and had a great time! Beautiful vibes inside and out, will probably sit outside next time with the beautiful weather. Staff was friendly, exceptional service, and delicious food! The coconut rice was to die for ❤️ we had the mahi ceviche and it was delicious. Highly recommend their blackened scallops over pork belly. Easy spot to stop after a beach day and with delicious and fresh food. Can't wait to come back!

I've been wanting to visit here but parking was always limited. There was finally a spot available, so we stopped. The atmosphere here is laid back coastal with an earthy chick. The staff is happy, and everyone is there to make your dining experience enjoyable. From the fresh squeezed lemonade to the beignet desert, everything, including the service, was outstanding. Walk in the side door, near the Plaza for the hostess station, or when picking up your take out orders. We were quickly seated for a 6pm visit and were greeted with water while we placed our drink orders. The drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic arrived quickly. And we placed our dinner orders. We had a member of our party celebrating a birthday, and he ordered multiple items multiple times during our visit. They didn't waste any time bringing out his mid meal orders. I have to say it. This is the one restaurant in the Wilmington area that I felt actually deserved every penny of their 270.00 bill. Living near the ocean, everything is a little more expensive and usually not worth the extra money. Not here. I had a great time with great people, serving amazing food...and I'll be back again. The scallops and pork back were tender, not over or under cooked. The blackened Mahi had perfect spices.

Executive chef Sam Cahoon combines southern cuisine with Latin American influences to create mouthwatering dishes that pair perfectly with the restaurant's rotating wine selection and craft cocktails.
Great food. Loved the goat cheese and sweet potato spread they refer to as a 'guacamole'. I was here three years ago with my wife and again last month with my father. Will vome back next time in town. Good cocktails.

Food was very good and although the portions were not hugh neither were the prices. I think that the value was absolutely there. I went with some friends for brunch on a Sunday around 10:30 and had no wait when we arrived for a group of 5. It is a relatively small place inside. Food came out very quickly as well.

I try to hit up Savorez every time I'm in Wilmington which is regrettably not nearly as often as I'd like too. The first time I ate at Savorez was truly a life changing experience and it was all thanks to the guacamole sampler. Up until this moment guacamole was one thing.. mashed avocados with some stuff in it (obviously the stuff differs from recipe to recipe so I'm just saying stuff to be simple). Savorez turned my whole idea of what guacamole could be though. Sweet potato and goat cheese guacamole??? I'm sorry... what??? That wasn't on my bingo card for the day and I didn't even realize how much I was missing in life until I had my first bite. If you're in Wilmington I'd say Savorez is an easy recommendation.

My wife and I went to Savorez in downtown Wilmington and were blown away yet again. Tom is such an incredible chef—he truly knocks it out of the park every single time. The bacon jam on the tapas BLT is absolutely out of this world, and the char on the jerk chicken was just perfection. Every dish feels so thoughtfully crafted and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, the service is always top-notch. Our server Stephen was so attentive, best service we have received in a long time. Also the atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and welcoming. This restaurant is fantastic from start to finish, and the chefs absolutely rock. Highly recommend!!!!!

We love finding spots like this! Friendly service and delicious authentic food made fresh. It's a small place but we are able to fit all 7 of us at a table comfortably. The art around the restaurant is beautiful. The vibe is very chill and laid back. They were playing some r&b songs, very chill💓. It's kid friendly, but there were no kids' menus. They were very accommodating though. I'd probably go here again on a date night without the children. The food was the bomb 💣 😋 I'll post pictures. I got the Yucaa fries and vegetarian toastada. I enjoyed everything.

If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, and our server Alayna truly made the evening special. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, answering every question we had with confidence, and her recommendations were spot on. We trusted her completely, and she did not disappoint – each dish was a revelation. The food itself was out of this world – fresh, creative, and expertly prepared. Every bite was a delightful surprise, showcasing the kind of quality and innovation you don't often find. It was honestly the best meal I've ever had. The atmosphere was just as exceptional. It felt cozy and inviting, so much so that we ended up staying for four hours, savoring every moment. I took my mom out for a girls' night, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We had the most wonderful time, and we’re already looking forward to returning to see what’s new on the menu. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant for making our night so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

Go here!!!! oh my manna is a new favorite for us. we got the mezcal drinks to start and they were delicious. the mezcal doesn’t hit you in the face and the drink wasn’t overly sweet. perfectly balanced! we started with the oyster which might have been the star on the show. we got the NC crab dish with cream corn. the crab tasted super fresh and light. we also got the zucchini bread pudding which was essentially a version of biscuits and gravy but 10x better. the sauce was so flavorful and reminded me of a vodka sauce. for entrees we got the pork chop and 1/2 chicken. the peach combo with the charred flavor of the pork was 10/10. the chicken had a BBQ raspberry type sauce and the pickles and pickled onions took it to the next level. every single dish we had was PACKED with flavor. service was fantastic and the atmosphere was super cute. this is now a wilmington staple for us!

If you’re looking for accessible, innovative, unique dining in Wilmington, look no further. Manna is fine, fine dining at a price point that can’t be beat. Thank you especially to our server Adam!

Absolutely top notch. I had an unforgettable meal starting with oysters - one with a quail egg, and then the most amazing shrimp dish I’ve ever tasted. My friend had a Bibimbap style eggplant dish and then ordered the shrimp after she tasted mine. Both were incredible. The bartender fashioned us cocktails that were not on the menu based on what we said we liked.

I’ve been keeping up with Manna, the Owner and the Chef for awhile now. My wife and I have been planning this trip and dinner for 2 years. Everything was phenomenal, the care and attention to every detail was evident from walking in the door. We arrived 20 minutes early, were sat anyway and given water and menus. Our server was actually the manager Steph, playing double duty and playing it well. Knowing we’re on our honeymoon, she was attentive and informative but left us plenty of alone time to enjoy and relax as well. She asked questions, waxed poetic about the menu and the team and told stories. Concluding our meal she introduced us to the Sommelier who was every bit as gracious and amazing. The food matched the service, the bread was exquisite..the asparagus with speck I could have eaten plate after plate of and my duck breast was perfect. It was worth the 2 year wait to come and experience..it will not be 2 years before we return. Bravo!

After a spontaneous recommendation from a friendly stranger on the streets of Wilmington, Manna completely exceeded every expectation. Despite arriving close to closing time, we were greeted with genuine warmth and smiles, with absolutely no sense of being rushed. The restaurant itself is charming and sultry, with décor that sets a perfect, intimate mood. The staff went above and beyond in every way. They were generous with conversation, taking the time to explain menu options and suggest pairings. Both the hostess and our server offered effusive, personal compliments about how much they enjoyed interacting with us as a couple, making the experience feel incredibly personal. To top it off, the bartender even provided tableside service! Another staff member kindly offered to take photos of us, adding a thoughtful, memorable touch. Our meals were creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Manna was the perfect way to cap off a romantic stroll through downtown Wilmington, allowing us to fully soak in the city’s charm. We left already planning our next visit. This place is a true gem!

Manna was absolutely phenomenal to work with for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and that our guests had an amazing experience. Leading up to the event, they were responsive over email and happy to do in person walk throughs to make sure every detail was perfect. You could tell how much they genuinely cared about creating a great evening for us, which made the entire planning process so easy and enjoyable. I reached out to many establishments downtown before choosing Manna, and their pricing was by far the fairest, especially considering that the quality of their food is well above most. They were one of the only venues that could comfortably accommodate both a sit down dinner and a welcome party, with a reasonable food and beverage minimum and only a modest rental fee. The day of the event, their team was professional and organized, handling everything seamlessly from music and slideshow setup to service. The food was truly exceptional, fresh, seasonal, and some of the best we have had anywhere in Wilmington. I cannot say enough about how positive the entire experience was. It truly felt like the team cared as much about our event as we did. I hope to find another reason to host something there in the future, and I encourage anyone planning an event or simply looking for a memorable dinner to support this amazing local restaurant.

Second time dining at Manna. 5+ stars. Excellent service, very personable and polite staff and great ambience. The food….. the food is incredible. The 16oz ribeye was the tastiest piece of beef my wife and I have ever eaten, and the duck fat fries it comes with are perfection. We shared 3 appetizers. All 3 were amazing, but the mushroom (run forage, run) was the best thing that we have ever eaten. Would consider going back just to get 6 orders of that. Will definitely be going back.

Cape Fear Seafood Company offers a polished and simple setting where you can enjoy regional seafood, steaks, chicken, as well as beer, wine, and spirits. The restaurant is known for its superb menu featuring North Carolina caught seafood and first-rate service in a warm and intimate ambiance.
The food was excellent, but our server Kathy truly elevated our experience. She was attentive, personable, and genuinely thoughtful. She took great care of us throughout the meal and even went above and beyond by making me some honey butter for my hush puppies. Her exceptional service made our visit memorable! We ordered the Calabash shrimp, flounder, and fries, as well as the shrimp scampi. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and generously portioned—comforting, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Kathy’s exceptional service and the quality of the food made this a meal to remember. We’ll definitely be back!

All of these stars are low 5's. Each individual aspect was good enough to call good, but nothing single-handedly deserved a "Wow!" besides dessert and scallops. That being said, altogether the restaurant would be a 5/5. I believe overall, I could recommend this restaurant, but not highly or to everyone.

Overall a good experience here. The swordfish I had was very good as well as the appetizer we shared. The hostess area was pretty chaotic as we had a reservation for 5:15 and came in and told them we were here. We were asked to wait a minute and said that fine. The party directly behind us came up and said they also had a reservation at 5:15 and were seated promptly. Thought that was odd. We were seated a few minutes later at a small wobbly table when plenty of booths were available. Definitely a weird interaction that brought down the environment of the place especially for the price we paid. 3.5 stars I would say.

I recently dined at Cape Fear Seafood Company in Wilmington, and it was an absolute standout meal—hands down one of the best seafood experiences I've had in the area! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, with that perfect coastal vibe that makes you feel right at home. The service was top-notch; our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations without being overbearing. They truly elevated the whole experience. Now, onto the food, wow! We started with the Shrimp and Grits, and let me tell you, it was awesome. Creamy, flavorful grits loaded with perfectly seasoned shrimp in a rich, savory sauce,it's no wonder this spot was recognized by Our State Magazine as one of North Carolina's must-try for this classic dish. Every bite was pure comfort with a gourmet twist. I also had the Mahi-Mahi special, which was really good: fresh, flaky, and grilled to perfection with a light herb seasoning that let the fish shine. Paired with some simple sides, it was fresh, balanced, and just what I needed after a day exploring the Cape Fear coast. Overall, the portions were generous, the prices were fair for the quality and everything felt fresh and locally sourced, which is exactly what you want from a spot like this. If you're in Wilmington and craving seafood done right, Cape Fear Seafood Company is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back, highly recommend!

We kept hearing about this seafood place , good and not so, so we dropped in to try it out. It's a cute and cozy restaurant on the smaller side so I can see why reservations are recommended. But, it's not so great that we'd wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. The sweet tea is good and I would suggest not too much ice. The oysters (which are in season now) were average however the Shrimp Diablo dish was very good with just the right heat. They give you a few hushpuppies on your plate instead of bringing a basket ahead unless you buy a basket (listed under the appetizer selection). Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Plenty of parking however can be a challenging when busy but it's worth it for the huge and delicious burgers and sandwiches. Don't miss the shrimp bisque—it's highly recommended!

This place is definitely a gem! We were in town for a sports tournament and looking for a good place to eat. We try to eat locally whenever possible, instead of doing chains. We opted for this spot based off positive reviews. It did not disappoint! It's a cute little place with a down home feel. The service and the food were very good. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. They were able to accommodate my son's gluten free diet without any issues, including dessert. We are so glad we decided to give them a try and will definitely return next time we are in the area!

Stopped in after spending a few hours at the beach. It was our first time here. And it was one of the few places that was not about to close so we wouldn't feel rushed. This is an awesome restaurant! Super friendly staff! Our server Erika was patient with us as we were deciding what we wanted. Then she brought some pretzel buns with tomato basil bisque while we waited for our food. Other staff came over to check on us when Erika was busy helping others. They were attentive. We also enjoyed the music playlist. The atmosphere was enjoyable. The food was exceptional. The steak ordered was perfectly cooked. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious. The gyro was delicious. The chicken burger was cooked to order and was filling. Our Cuban sandwiches we tasty and filling. You definitely get your money's worth here. Portions are right. No skimping. Definitely worth a visit. Next time we are in Wilmington we will have to come back.

We came in as a group of 4 and a baby. We got sat at a good size table for our company. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. She just didn't come by right after we got our food, and we wanted some additional condiments. We had the shrimp and grits, which were delicious, 5 stars, and would definitely come back for that. I also tried the corned beef hash which was also 5 star delicious! I was happy they had gf bread on the menu as well. There is a large selection on the menu and it was hard to decide what to try. I got a side of bacon with my entrée and it was perfectly cooked! The ranch was also outstanding!

This restaurant is a great place to eat dinner. The food was delicious, and the portions were large. The food was very delicious it exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. You need to visit and see for yourself.

Cute cafe with some very fun decorations. I think this is better as a breakfast/brunch place than dinner. Pancake hush puppies were SO good/highly recommend. Our cheesecake was so soft that it could be described as melted in the middle but still had good flavor. The shrimp in my shrimp and grits was awesome. Very friendly staff and no wait on a Saturday evening.

Just a few miles from the beach, this cozy space was truly a spectacular find. Amazing atmosphere, clean, inspirational, and friendly service made early breakfast a treat. That was all before the delicious meal. The breakfast menu was truly filled with great selections, so be prepared for the most challenging part of your visit. While waiting for my meal, curiosity had me pull up both their lunch and dinner menus, and no surprise, it was just as enticing. Not only do they have an expansive menu for each meal, but the portion size is huge! The salmon benedict with spinach on top of a toasted Cuban bread was well presented, flavorful, and just delightful. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely return when I'm back in the area, if for nothing else, to explore their other menus.

The food is massive! Oh my goodness! Loved the salsa bar. Must try the wasabi salsa. I took home a pint of it! Great value for the money and friendly staff. Building is quite old but it adds to the quirkiness. Dog friendly outdoor area. Everything is self serve. Even the to go plates and the clean up. They ask you to bus your table.

Such a great place and Wilmington Landmark !! Every time in town it is a must to stop by Amy’s … always so much fun and Taco Tuesday’s (10% off if you show them your ‘ink’). Best salsas and add ons !!

Finally checked out Flaming Amy's. We have heard a lot of great stuff. First off the vibe is really cool. Kinda funky and eclectic. They have a large selection of burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and bowls. They have plenty of entrees or you can create your own. We went with their recommendations. The burritos were a good size and came with a helping of homemade chips. We loved the salsa bar with a variety of mild to hot salsas. We also ordered queso which was delicious and came in handy to dunk our burritos in. The ingredients in the burritos seemed fresh. But something just seemed off about it. Maybe it was not hot enough or something. The service was fantastic. We would definitely try it again and maybe do a bowl this time.

Ate here during my return, after being away from Wilmington for over 10 years. As good as ever! I had a Fab Fried burrito with grilled chicken and honey mustard. They brought it to the table super fast. Odd they only have the pick up toy games... seems like they used to have Frogger and Galaga.

The burrito was ok but definitely not the best I've ever had. The food was reasonably priced for the size of the dish. The salsa bar was nice, but the salsa was ok and nothing great. It's a fun inside atmosphere.

I had high expectations of Flaming Amys but unfortunately it was not our favorite burrito spot. I think the choice of my burrito was my mistake but I usually love greek! My husband got a normal burrito with chicken and the works and it was almost tasteless? I think the sauces were definitely fun to try and were yummy. I also liked the atmosphere of the place! If I were to come again I would try something else!

Great vibes, beer, and burritos. We tried the build your own, fajita-rito, and flaming Amy. Can’t go wrong with any of them. I wish they had margaritas, but Amy’s would be too over powered if they did. Probably take over the world. Similar to Chick-fil-A on Sunday - you’ll always want FAB on Mondays when they are closed. Give them a visit!

Located at 5559 Oleander Drive in Wilmington, Casey’s Buffet is a popular no-frills stop offering a buffet spread of Southern comfort food for lunch and dinner. The restaurant has gained recognition from various sources, including being named the Best Buffet in North Carolina by Readers Digest and earning a spot on USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice for buffet restaurants.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Casey’s. The food was absolutely delicious, it was hot and fresh. It also had that comforting, authentic Southern touch which I enjoyed. I wasn’t a huge fan of the dessert options as they were not properly restocked.

This place is amazing and they are truly an example of country buffet and southern cooking. All varieties of meats, vegetables, sides, and desserts. I highly recommend because they have great service and they make sure your water stays full, they come by and make sure you have everything you need, and it's nice to just speak and communicate with the helpful staff and workers there. I definitely look forward to going back many times God willing.

This spot is absolutely delicious home cooking at its finest. It takes me right back to Nanny’s kitchen, serving up good old-fashioned soul food. Nothing’s fancy or overly polished, but that’s what makes it so great. The buffet is far better than Golden Corral, and you can tell the folks here genuinely love what they do. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, which adds to the charm. The place itself has that “hole in the wall” vibe, but once you sit down and dig in, it just feels right. We’ve been here many times and consider it one of our go-to destination spots for amazing food.

I had the chance to eat at Casey’s in Wilmington, and it was an experience worth sharing. The buffet offers a wide variety of options, and everything I tried was flavorful and well-seasoned. Their signature BBQ and fried chicken stood out with that perfect balance of comfort and southern tradition, while the chitterlings were prepared with care and definitely worth trying for anyone who enjoys authentic soul food. I snapped a few plates full of different entrées and sides, and each one highlighted the kitchen’s commitment to quality and taste. On top of the food, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers hearty, seasoned dishes with genuine Southern hospitality, Casey’s is absolutely worth the stop.

Love Casey's for good old home cooking buffet. We have been stopping at Casey's for 20+ years. Our granddaughter has a standing appointment in Wilmington on Monday's and it breaks her heart everytime we tell her it is not open on Monday. She love that she can get what she wants and it makes her feel like a "grown-up". A special thank you to Mrs. Casey for introducing herself to us and making my granddaughter a part of their family.

This is definitely not the run of the mill ordinary buffet that most people are used to. They advertise southern soul food on the buffet and they definitely deliver on it with items like fried catfish. chittlins, collard greens, cornbread, fatback field peas, oxtails and pigs feet. I ate fried chicken, fried popcorn shrimp, catfish bites, chopped Barbeque, hush puppies, slaw, pork chops Mac and cheese, baked beans, homemade rolls and sweet tea. Then I finished up with apple cobbler, blueberry cobbler and banana pudding.

4.5 ⭐ -- Stopped in Casey for the Friday dinner buffet. The interior feels like you're in your grandparent's living room, but I love it. You know it's gonna be good w/ handwritten food placards and wood panel walls. Fortunately for us, they still had BBQ pork ribs from lunch. The pulled pork was pretty good especially with their house made vinegar BBQ sauce and fresh dinner rolls off a hot pan some young man offered at our table (super kind young buck too). Mac n cheese noodles seemed overcooked and somewhat broken-up/mushy. Pork skins were nice n salty. Hushpuppies, fried chicken, and okra were all great! Fried shrimp was the daily special which had to be ordered through the server. We ordered some expecting 10 pieces of shrimp. A dish of dime sized shrimp with tartar sauce came out. I never witnessed em that petite. They tasted great but noticed through the batter that they hadn't been deveined (probably too small and meticulous). Might not bother most people but we politely declined the rest. BUT OH MY DAYS their dessert section redeemed any short comings and stole the show. Sorry a picture was taken but I trucked through some blueberry cobbler, peach cobbler, banana pudding, cherry cheesecake, and ice cream from their machine. Not gourmet by any means but comfort food for an adequate price around $17 per person. Soft drinks are extra. They have daily specials worth looking into, I still feel like we missed out on the lemon pepper catfish nuggets... Overall Casey's will fill you and your family's belly for a decent price. Great if you're craving Southern comfort food or if you have a sweet tooth. You'll find yourself in heaven with plenty of options. Catch a plate if you're near Wilmington!

The Little Dipper is a charming and modern restaurant that specializes in fondue. The menu includes many different types of fondue, like the cheddar ale and Fontina, making it an ideal place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends. The back deck is perfect for warmer evenings and provides a relaxing atmosphere.
We had an amazing evening celebrating my birthday. My friend had emailed and let them know we were making reservations for my birthday and the manager Jason asked what I like and there was a little Taylor Swift present which was the sweetest thing ever. The food was awesome, the service was great even though it was Abby's second day she was fantastic. They have beautiful artwork throughout and it's just a super cool atmosphere.

I went to Little Dipper to enjoy a solo birthday dinner. Everything was perfect from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed the fondue, the service and I had to opportunity to sample a cocktail that would be featured for the following day. I'm so grateful for the experience. This has always been my favorite restaurant. The staff has always been so kind and welcoming. Making every experience better than the last. I look forward to visiting again.

I don’t often feel strongly enough to leave reviews but I loved this place and want to recognize our server, Melissa! Me and my boyfriend visited Wilmington on a trip celebrating our anniversary, and we decided to come here because neither of us have ever had fondue. This was a great experience for both us and also a great date night! Our server was Melissa, and she recommended our broth and also my dipping sauces, which were all great. She really knows the menu well and what pairs with what. The choices can be overwhelming, especially for our first time at a fondue restaurant, but she is very patient and helpful. She is a great bartender too, my boyfriend really loved the Manhattan she made him and I also loved the drink she made me, which is saying a lot because I am very sensitive to alcohol. This place is also very fairly priced for the amount of food you receive. Great environment, food, and experience!

Thank you Little Dipper Fondue, the staff, and our amazing server Brittany for making this special day even more memorable!

We absolutely love fondue restaurants, and have dinner at The Little Dipper a couple times over the past few years for special occasions. First of all, we love the atmosphere in the restaurant. The building is very old and beautiful. Even though you may be close to other diners, there is a very intimate feel about it. The meal was delicious as always. The She crab soup was the best I’ve ever had! Service from Elizabeth and Natashia was great. They even acknowledged my birthday and sent us home with a piece of delicious cheesecake. Very accommodating with our request to take the dessert course to go (as we were too stuffed to eat it there) It’s truly one of our favorite places for special occasions and is more than just a place to eat, it is an experience. Though it is a lot of food, it is great because of the way it is spread out. And even though we were full at the end, we feel that it’s relatively healthy and not huge amounts of any one thing. We also feel it as a good value for the money compared to other special occasion dining!

Benny's Big Time Pizzeria is a charming Italian restaurant located in the South Front District near historic downtown Wilmington. The airy, rustic-chic dining space offers a Southern coastal twist on Italian cuisine, with dishes made from fresh seafood and local ingredients.
Benny’s is INCREDIBLE! Fresh and house made ingredients, carefully curated details, amazing service and ambience….and the gluten-free pizza is killer!! I’ve searched high and low for a decent gluten-free pizza crust, and Benny’s Detroit style outdoes them all by FAR. It’s just the best ever. We finished dinner with the flourless chocolate cake (torta caprese)! Benny’s is a must try- we were so impressed!!

Great place for some of the best Pizza in the area. True story fish and chips on Friday are the best hidden meal in the area. Salads are🤌
Svend M — Google review
Benny’s Big Time Pizzeria has been on my list for a while so I was excited to give this place a try. Since this was my first time ordering I’m going to be a bit lenient just in case they just had an off day, but this review is also brutally honest! I ordered the Tony Pepperoni w/Calabrian Chili Pepper and asked for it to be extra crispy. The bottom of the pizza didn’t seem extra crispy, and when you picked up the slice you can tell that it wasn’t indeed extra crispy. The sauce and toppings had good flavor. I’m a huge pizza lover, and a good pizza always starts with the crust & sauce, and the “NOT” crispy crust is the main reason why I’m giving this place a solid 3 ⭐️ out of 5 ⭐️ rating. It definitely wasn’t worth the $26 I paid for a 14” pizza. I’ve tried 4 other pizzerias, this being the 5th, around the ILM/Wilmington area and this place would be tied with 4th & 5th place out of all of those other restaurants. Service seemed to be fast & friendly, which was a definite plus! I don’t want to be too harsh, but maybe I caught this place on a down day.
Matt F — Google review
As someone who frequently orders Bennys Togo, my portion of Brussel sprouts this evening was unacceptable for the price. Anytime I have previously ordered Brussels the entire to go box is full. If you order in person the portion is double if not triple. The quality is inconsistent for how expensive the price is. My pizza was great but this portion of Brussel sprouts is offensive.
Madisyn M — Google review
I ordered a pineapple pizza, and I must say it turned out to be the worst food experience of my life; it was so unpleasant that I genuinely began to question whether the chef had ever actually tasted this creation before deciding it was suitable to sell, and that thought alone made the experience even more frustrating. After forcing myself to take only one slice, I could not bear to continue and ended up leaving the rest behind; it was the first time in my life that I found myself cursing out loud while eating, which tells you just how unbearable it was. This is truly the kind of dish that requires the chef to sit down, taste it carefully, and reflect deeply on whether such a recipe should ever reach customers; it left me thinking that no one who values flavor could possibly stand by it. Normally I do not bother to leave reviews because I consider them tedious and time-consuming; however, this was such a nightmarish meal that I felt compelled to share my experience here, as it was too shocking and disappointing to remain silent.

Second best pizza I’ve ever had. 1st was in Sally’s in Stamford, Connecticut. Best pizza I’ve had in NC. The menu reminded me of menus in Connecticut.

Benny's Big Time paid off for sure. Dined on a crowded Friday night with 8pm reservations. Seems like a celebration-type restaurant, with lots of large groups. Downside is the volume was really loud and hard to have a conversation. Chicken parm bites and salad to start. Dee-lish. All the pizza look amazing and we ordered two to share, along with the rigatoni. Everything was delicious and the service was top notch. It's a must visit place and we'll be back for sure.

We went to Benny’s Big Time Pizzeria today!! Don’t know what has taken us so long- I guess the location in town, but what a cute spot with delicious food!! The House Salad was AMAZING!! I split it with my husband, who is gluten free. I wish I had taken a picture. It was beautiful, colorful, and the dressing was light and delicious. Next time I will try the Caesar Salad for sure! It looked very unique on the menu. I enjoyed the Pineapple Express pizza. My boys loved the Margherita pizza and the Tony Pepperoni. My husband enjoyed the gluten free Carleone pizza but said the crust was a bit thick and heavy. We will definitely be back!

The interior features retro white-tiled decor, creating a beachy atmosphere. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, seasonal seafood and local ingredients sourced from small-scale farms and fishermen. With a menu that changes according to the best catches of the sea, Seabird ensures that diners experience the finest flavors of the season.
We got smoked nc catfish + grits, fried shrimp tacos, caesar salad with anchovies, and two eggs with mashed potatoes biscuit and gravy. They started with some type of coffee cake on the house, which was perfectly moderately sweet. Everything from the fish to the veggies was lightly seasoned so you could enjoy the enjoy natural flavors of every ingredient, cooked perfectly, generous portion sizes and presented beautifully! My only complain was the ceasar salad which was so salty I couldn't eat more then 2 bites - they were accepting and thankful for my feedback. They also gave my friends free icecream for their wedding anniversary and accompdated us on a short notice which was very much appreciated since we had a toddler with us. Clean bathrooms is always a plus and no one can beat their location! Kudos to the chef who was brave enough to hold back on over seasoning and confident in their dishes by allowing their ingredients to shine. It was a heartfelt happy experience. I love that food still had the ability to delightfully suprise me. Thank you! Will definitely return!

If I could give ten stars I would. Seabird was truly an amazing experience, my boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and the atmosphere and hospitality was unmatched. The restaurants ambiance was gorgeous and the way it was designed is so upscale with a vintage vibe. It was an amazing experience and the hospitality stood out to me the most. Stumbled across Seabird, looking for some breakfast, and was pleasantly surprised by the corner location and staff and decor. Excellent sea trout and beef bavette! Also recommend getting the cheese plate. One or two selections of cheese that come with some great extras, like blueberry compote, honeycomb, marcona almonds, spiced apple sauce, basil etc. So good for only $10-$18! The old fashioned was good but a little light on the poor. We didn't have a reservation but they were so nice and were able to get us in at 5pm. Parking on the street was $3 per hour but free after 6:30pm. Thank you, hope to be back in Wilmington one day.

A nice little spot for craft beer and good food. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was excellent. Came with house made chips, which I'm a sucker for. They were delicious. To my surprise, not just a brewery, they have hundreds of bottles of whiskey at the bar. This is definitely a place to try a bourbon you have never had to taste test. So much, that I went there twice in one week. The bartender understands her whiskeys. Ask for a recommendation!

What an outstanding find. People were friendly and attentive, great menu with some southern classics like shrimp and cheesy grits, Carolina BBQ pulled pork...even a couple of vegan wrap/sandwich options! Fried pickles with housemade pickles were soooooo good. Probably the best you'll eat. Pulled pork BBQ sandwich was great. Smoky flavor, moderately wet slaw and a soft bun was wonderful. Huge whiskey selection and delicious seasonal beers.

I am so glad I chose Front Street Brewery for our lunch after the Cape Fear River boat ride. We came at 1pm, the peak hour for restaurant, it was full but yet we had our table immediately. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, it seemed that it had renovated from an old building. Our server Cameron was super helpful, super attentive, and always with a smile. My husband had a sandwich with a dark beer which he really liked and I had the fish and chips. Bathroom was also nicely decorated and very clean even with the amount of clientele they have during the lunch time. Highly recommend when you come to visit Wilmington.

Great food and drinks. My mom and I shared a pimento smash burger and that was perfect for us since it had two patties. The fries were just right, crispy but not overdone. The beer nuggets were incredible as well, with queso and marinara.

My girlfriend and I came here tonight, she's been before but it was my first time. We were greeted and seated and that's when it took a turn for the worst. We ordered Chips and Salsa *menu said it comes with a lot of chips, it doesn't. For my main dish I got the quesadilla with mexican red rice, the rice was undercooked and hard while the quesdilla was completely burnt and charred. I don't know how it passed the quality check in the kitchen, when the server saw it she was visibly disgusted along with my girlfriend and I. It was the fastest we've ever dined and we barely ate, the food was so bad it ruined my appetite for the remainder of the night and felt sick after...

The restaurant boasts a relaxed atmosphere, maritime decor, and delectable American fare. It has garnered acclaim for its waterfront location, making it a favorite dining spot for locals and visitors alike.
I was craving oysters, something simple, and Brandon suggested classic Oysters Rockefeller. Each oyster was buttery and briny, nothing too crazy, and the spinach gave it a nice rich texture. It was a great snack to match the view of the thunderstorm on the water. I loved the plate. One suggestion: make the plate look a little more interesting (even if that means presenting them on ice or something… it just needs something visually).

We love Elijah's and have been coming here for many, many years. It's a must when we are in downtown Wilmington. Their boil pots are really good. Today, we opted for riverside seating and a light lunch of Oysters a la Bienville and Carolina Firecracker oysters. Both were delicious. The Cape Fear Cooler was a great cocktail to beat the heat. Service at Elijah's is always great. Check them out!

Loved our server Matt! Crab dip appetizer, blackened fish tacos and homemade Mac and cheese was excellent! Best place we’ve eaten in Wilmington during our weekend visit! Top notch food, service and ambience!

The food here is delicious and the service is top-notch. You get a lot of food with your order. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be coming back here to eat when we are in the area again.

Sat on the deck. It was a rainy windy evening, but the clear panels kept things warm and dry. Food was outstanding. Had the roasted miso oysters, and oyster sandwich. Their version of an aperol Spritz to drink. Everything was very good! Service was attentive and friendly. Evening view of the river, even in the foul weather, was beautiful. This will be a new favorite in Wilmington!

We loved our expirence here. We came during lunch rush and wanted seats outside. We were seated by the service door outside (very busy) and wanted to be moved away from the traffic. They were very understanding and accommodated us. Not only that but the food 🤌 wonderful. The shrimp and grits was nicely balanced and the oysters were amazing! Shout out to Vinnie for taking care of us and taking time to talk about the history of the area.

Really great food and awesome to dine on the river. We spent around $100 with the Carolina boil, an appetizer, and kids meals. Cheaper options are under $20. Loved the nachos. My 7 yo liked them too. Seafood boil takes a long time, so get drinks and an app to tide over the wait. I wouldn't get it if you're really hungry and need something fast. But it comes with plenty of food and spiced really well. Best part of the boil was the sausage.

The hush puppies and fish platter were awesome! The fish platter was enough to feed two people. Their kids meals were decent sized too. Service was great and parking was easy! It was great to be able to enjoy their outside patio while being protected from the wind and rain.

The George on the Riverwalk is an upscale dining destination offering coastal seafood and American cuisine, with the added convenience of boat docking. Nestled in downtown Wilmington, this restaurant provides a picturesque view of the Cape Fear River and the Battleship North Carolina. The historic building exudes charm, while the attentive staff ensures a delightful dining experience. Guests can savor dishes like their unique oysters Rockefeller with chorizo and garlic aioli, all while enjoying southern hospitality and scenic river views.
This was our first time dining at River 128 Restaurant. We chose an outdoor table. Great views of the river. We had a Garlic Shrimp appetizer, Blackened Catfish, and Australian Rack of Lamb with a side of Truffle Mac N Cheese. Food was excellent, our server Ivori was attentive. They were out of Oysters and Duck, so we'll be back to try those dishes and their Ravioli.

Wonderful brunch!! Eggs and bacon are easy to get right, but potatoes require skill and they nailed it! French toast was also delish! Right on the river nice views of the water taxi and birds - we spotted a bald eagle!

Great experience out on the patio on a pretty day. Great server too (I think his name was Michael?) Tried the crab cake. Didn't care for it as much as the reviews say. Wish I had gone a different way. Then for the meal I went with the fish tacos per recommendation from the server. They were good. The best was the cucumber spritz. So delish! Topped it off with some chocolate cake which was very good as well!

If I were summarizing: River 128 is a terrific choice for a special outing — perhaps a date night, anniversary, or sunset dinner — thanks to its location, upgraded ambiance, and strong seafood/steak menu. That said, it may not yet always hit “perfect” on every dish, so if you’re a foodie seeking ultra-fine‐dining precision, it might fall just short in some cases. For the best experience, I’d recommend: • Booking ahead, especially for patio/river-view seating. • Going for the signature seafood or steak dishes rather than more standard fare. The ravioli is to die for 10/10 and If you like frozen cocktails 10/10

Luxury meets coastal! After a few hours at the houseboat we decided to become famous for a few minutes and head over to the River… I wonder why 128 is in the name? Visit so you can find out…eat first!

We just had some simple dishes, a Caesar salad and some chicken wings for a light snack and they were tremendous. The views and atmosphere are also great and the service was perfect. Something as simple as just bringing constant drink refills and being very attentive for sure deserves a great rating!

Can’t beat the location or view. This is a beautiful restaurant. The food was adequate (not encore worthy). I do feel it’s a little overpriced for what you get. My husband ordered a steak medium, it came out within a few minutes (quick) and he knew the steak would be undercooked (very rare) I got the lobster ravioli which tasted good, but only got about 5 ravioli. For nearly $40, that is overpriced. We want to come back to watch the sunset but we’ll stick to apps or some of the not as expensive entrees. The tuna sashimi app was on point. I do say it’s worth the visit to really appreciate the wilmingtons river walk and beautiful scenery downtown.

Out of town New Yorker who made reservations for best good friend's 40th birthday. Opted for outdoor seating which worked out perfect with our 7pm reservation (sunset over the battleship background was gorgeous and the weather was mild.) Couldn't have picked a better place for our celebration. Service was spot on (wish I could remember our waitresses' name to shout her out but we talked about white bean chicken chili and you recommended the duck to the birthday boy who LOVED it so if she sees this please tag yourself or tell your manager.) Apps were fresh and tasty (tuna sashimi stole the show here, but the crab lobster dip held it's own. Fried calamari were fine, side sauce (aioli?) had a nice flavor. I had the lobster raviolis topped with shrimp and was not disappointed one bit (this coming from someone who usually does not choose a pasta dish.) The delicious duck was devoured with delight by the guest of honor (accompanied by house made fried rice which was a pleasant surprise), ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the Black bass and the blackened catfish both were fresh and seasoned to perfection. Creme brulee was the dessert choice of the table and was the perfect end destination for this culinary adventure. Tons of options in the area but grateful to have picked River 128. 5/5 would recommend for anyone in the area looking for an overall enjoyable dining experience.

The Pilot House is a historic restaurant located in a restored 19th-century house at Chandlers Wharf in downtown Wilmington. Established by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wright Jr. in 1978, it has become a top dining destination known for its Southern regional cuisine. The restaurant offers riverside terrace seating with views of the Cape Fear River and is committed to using fresh local ingredients, including seafood and sustainable produce.
From the moment we walked through the doors, we were impressed. The hostesses were warm, professional, and incredibly accommodating. We had our little Yorkie with us, and they were more than gracious—walking us out to a lovely porch area with beautiful river views. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. We started with the crab dip, which was absolutely luscious—creamy, flavorful, and something I would happily order again and again. For our entrée, we chose the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the dish had great flavor without being overly spicy, and it was incredibly satisfying. To top it off, the Azalea Bloom cocktails were both gorgeous and refreshing—the perfect finish to a great dining experience. Highly recommend this spot, especially if you’re looking for a pet-friendly place with great food and views!

The Pilot House has a beautiful setting with a great atmosphere, and the place itself feels really nice. The food was decent—nothing that really stood out, but it was fine. Unfortunately, the service was a big letdown. It took more than an hour to get our food, and the staff didn’t seem very attentive during the wait. In addition it was too expensive for what it offers. With such a great location, I expected a better experience overall.

My friend and I went between lunch and dinner, as we just blew into town. (She had been there years and years earlier.) We had the best server ever! Aaron! My friend is rather picky and Aaron was very accommodating and kind while being so accommodating 💙. She got a steak of some sort... and loved it I got a blackened grouper with a mango chutney, the side...sweet potato succotash that was out of this world yummy!

Tonight we went out to celebrate our first home visit by a potential buyer. Don’t ask no word back yet but we had a great dinner! We went to Pilot House on the river. We have not been there for months. We started off with a bottle of Prosecco and creamy crab dip! My wife ordered Blackened Redfish and I had the Chicken Paillard . Both were delicious and made a great way to look forward to a new adventure! Not only is the food superb the service we received was equally top notch! Our Server Aly D was professional, friendly and made sure our evening was great success. This is why after the summer visitors go home we have a great food community and many months of enjoyment!

Their slogan "Seafood With Local Flair"... Please just give up the "flair" and serve good food. Trying to make dishes fancy doesn't make them better. Close to 10/10 for atmosphere, inside was cute and looked freshly painted, we sat outside on the patio with the view of the river. We were the only ones out there while other restaurants in view seemed much much busier. One couple sat down and walked away after seing the menu, and honestly, that's what we should've done too. But, I was trying to be optimistic and try something new. The menu was extremely small and didnt have much that looked appetizing. We ordered 2 bloody Mary's that came in small, fancier looking glasses. They were alright, but, we did feel a little "gypped". For an appetizer we got the crab dip, which was decent, but didn't offer enough bread to actually use all of the dip despite the $17 item. My partner ordered the seafood platter which wasn't anything spectacular to talk about, just a platter of fried items. I ordered the shrimp and grits out of one of the waitresses recommendations, and it was definitely not great, I felt a little sick after eating. The menu really doesnt describe this dish accurately and does not portray an "NC" style shrimp and grits dish. This tasted and looked much more like a jambalaya, creole, Louisiana cuisine of some sort. There were very large pieces of im assuming mushrooms which caught my eye first, which was fine, but I dont like to not understand what I'm eating and again, the dish really was not explained correctly or thoroughly on the menu at all. Again, we don't have to try to make things fancy to make them good. The grits were pretty cheesy, did not get the "green chile" at all. The shrimp seemed a little under done to me. Lastly, but not least important, it was a big greasy mess and could have been why I felt sick. I ate was I could because I was hungry and didn't want to feel like I was being a downer to my partner, but you can especially see in the takeout box all of the grease that had separated. It was just not very good. Service was okay, nothing great. $88 before tip, 2 entrees, 1 app and two drinks, not terrible, but definitely won't be returning. The food is just not good.

Outstanding Experience Every Time! My wife and I have dined at The Pilot House multiple times for both lunch and dinner, and every visit has been a great experience. This time, we came in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the updated menu — more refined, upscale, and thoughtfully curated. While the selection is a bit smaller, the quality more than makes up for it. We ordered the Cast Iron Teres Major Steak and Blackened Redfish, and both dishes were absolutely delicious — arguably the best we’ve had here yet. The preparation and presentation were elevated, showcasing a clear step up in the kitchen. On top of the fantastic food, the riverfront view, especially at sunset, is simply stunning. The Pilot House continues to be one of our favorite spots in Wilmington — highly recommended!

Circa 1922 is a renowned restaurant located in the heart of Wilmington's historic downtown, set in a beautifully refurbished bank. The menu offers a diverse selection of delectable dishes from both land and sea, including tapas, sushi, and charcuterie. The restaurant is celebrated for its skilled culinary team and modish setting, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
We had an excellent time at Circa. We have lived in the Greater Wilmington area for 3 years now and this is our first visit. We will definitely be back. All of the food was extremely well done. They were accommodating for our children and were very quick with our orders for how busy they were. The place itself has a fantastic aesthetic. The piano player arrived about halfway through the meal and added an amazing feel to the atmosphere.

We had a great experience for dinner here and great service from our server Gage. I highly recommend the Mushroom Bruschetta. Delicious cheesy bruschetta topped with roasted mushrooms. Great appetizer. I got the Halibut for dinner and enjoyed it tremendously. The halibut was perfectly cooked and the sauce for the dish is simply delicious.

I want to preface this by saying we had an unfortunate start to our meal. There was seemingly an issue between the staff and another table, and it took a long while to be greeted and taken care of. Not to the fault of our waitress and the other staff, but we did start off on the wrong foot. However, it was made right by the staff with some different items to try, and a free round of drinks so thankful to the experience to end on a much more positive note. Our waitress Dana, and the Service Manager Jenna were wonderful. After a bit of a rough start, we got started with drinks and their pre fix menu. Like other good restaurants in town, a pairing of signature cocktails to go along with the food is welcome. I thought the drinks were a good accompaniment - I would definitely go back for the “Honey I’m Home”, a good old fashioned type drink with warm ginger. The salads that come with the pre fix are HUGE, so be careful not to fill up on that before your meal. Both the Cesar and the Mixed Lettuces were quite good, and a nice start to the meal. The salmon was perfectly cooked with an incredible crust, and because of the seasonal menu we were treated to a gratin that had some variety of potato’s, carrots, onions with a mustard base sauce that rounded out the dish well. The butternut squash ravioli was a little of a gamble, not that I feared that it would be bad - more I was cautious since it seemed much different than the other menu items. I was very happy to get this item though because the brown butter sauce was incredible. The squash purée was soft, and the ravioli had perfect bite to it. Served with pieces of fried herbs gave the dish nice pops of crunch. A nicely well rounded dish. Lastly, we ended with the Lavender Honey Pot De Crème, and the Blood Orange sorbet. While the sorbet was good (it’s sorbet how could it not?), the star for me was the Pot De Crème which, think of the Crème without the Brûlée, but infused with just enough lavender to be floral, and a nice sweetness from the honey. I am a sucker for custard, and this one was great. A great experience in the end, and I look forward to sharing another meal with them in the future. Thanks to the wait staff for making everything right, and thanks to the chefs for delicious food.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, so I decided to celebrate my birthday here. My husband and I selected from the Prix Fixe menu. We both ordered the Caesar salad. I ordered the pork Milanese and he ordered the Bolognese. The salads were huge! We could have easily shared one. It was delicious. My pork Milanese was outstanding! It was a large cut, nicely breaded (not thick in breadcrumbs), topped with arugula, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and a remoulade. It was one of the best Milanese I've ever had. The Bolognese is always a hit and favorite too. For dessert, we had the mini crème Brule and mini peanut butter mousse. Codi provided very nice service. Cocktails are pricey. We were waiting at the bar for our table, as we got there a little early. The bartender said they ranged $16 to $18 (prices not posted on the menu). That's a little high, so I waited to order a glass of sparkling wine at dinner. The place was pretty full. I love the atmosphere of the place.

Wonderful service from the time we arrived. Our server explained the menu well including rotating options. He brought an extra bread appetizer for our 6 year old son who clearly loved the bread. We ordered the eggrolls and tuna tataki appetizers, scallops and filet mignon entrees, and a key lime cocktail. All food was excellent! Also, really enjoyed the pianist. Will be back 😊

Roko Italian Cuisine, established in 2012, is a local family-run bistro located in Mayfaire Town Center. It offers an upscale-casual setting and has been recognized for its romantic atmosphere. The restaurant provides a mix of classic and updated Italian dishes made with fresh locally sourced ingredients. With a seating capacity for sixty-eight people, it's known to be consistently busy.
My waitress Crystal was phenomenal! She made sure I was quickly taken care of with quality service! I enjoyed how perfectly crispy the calamari were, and the red wine recommendation from Crystal was spot on. The Caesar salad could have used a tad bit more dressing as it was tossed in, but it was still tasty. The wild mushroom ravioli is so delicious! And finally, I’m more of a chocolate cake person than a mousse person, but the chocolate mousse was extremely tasty, especially when paired with the berries. I highly recommend.

We recently enjoyed a lovely family dinner here with some friends after a local recommended this place. The food was all very good. Both seafood pasta dishes were generously loaded with seafood, and the sauces paired wonderfully. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, exactly how we liked it. The only downside was that the peas and potatoes seemed a bit cold for our taste. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy a relaxing, no-rush dinner.

Nice people though customers seemed to be all older white adults. Old fashioned was ok, wine selection was ok...wish they had tawny port. Staff was attentive, patient and accommodating. Salads were crisp, fresh and delicious. Crab stuffed sea bass was a little salty but still ok. Mushroom ravioli was pretty good woth plenty of mushrooms. Chocolate mousse was rally good though the berry presentation was a little off. Overall, good place to eat for the area...would recommend reservations as even the bar gets saved.
Scott B — Google review
Roko is a great addition to the Italian food scene, offering great service, good food, and a lively yet I no sting atmosphere. Our meal started with a selection of appetizers. I opted for the she-crab soup, which was generously packed with crab but leaned slightly salty and thick. My husband and a friend enjoyed the escargot, which was excellent, though a touch more broth would have elevated it further. Another friend choose the asparagus, typically a side dish, as their appetizer-a simple yet satisfying choice. For the entrees, I had the frutta del mare, featuring perfectly cooked seafood and a generous portion of pasta, most of which I happily took home. My husband savored the mushroom ravioli with added shrimp, while our friends indulged in the grouper special. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The highlight of the evening for me was the coconut gelato-absolutely divine! If you’re planning a visit, ROKO is ideal for a fun night out with friends, though the noise level can climb during peak dinner hours. As reference, our reservation was for 8:15, and it was still very busy, with nearly every table filled. For a quieter experience or a solo outing, consider sitting at the bar or one of the nearby high-tops. Whatever the occasion, ROKO promises a memorable dining experience.

We have visited before and loved it. I’m happy to say it’s still as wonderful as I remember it to be. Food was absolutely amazing! It goes without saying, top notch service. Keep up the great job you do and we will most definitely return. Puno Hvala! 🫶 Reservations are highly recommended, but if you do not have one and it’s in the middle of the week you should have a good chance of still getting a nice table.

Have always enjoyed Roko. A couple of notes from this visit: $12 for a "side" house salad is a tough pill. The booths need some major TLC as both sides of our table were continuously bumped and slammed from the opposite sides. Just need reinforcing as they're as thin and flimay as paper. Fantastic service, knowledgeable and personable. Best part of the evening. Lemoncello cake was divine. Came for a birthday, all four of us in November. Spent $330 for a party of 4 with a bottle of wine and 5 extra glasses. Four entrees, two desserts, 1 app and some bread. Everyone enjoyed themselves!

I like to respect a Restaurant that deserves it - And I think I just found my fav Italian restaurant in Wilmington and we have lived here a year already! You would not think much of it driving by at Mayfaire but always thought - Need to try that place. It was our first time here tonight on a Wed night and they were busy for midweek. Food was SUPERB!! So many flavors!! We had Clams Oreganato and Escargot for Appetizers. I never get enough garlic but Escargot was perfect and bread to dip to finish it all off. I had one of the Specials tonight - Lobster Shrimp Linguini and my main squeeze had Veal Sorrento. Food came out HOT HOT - Important to us. And BIG portions which we really weren’t expecting. WOW. Nancy our Waitress was very warm and friendly and busy but EXCELLENT. Oh, and we took the Housemade Tiramisu to go. YUM!! This restaurant has character. Not very big and so need reservations. We should have called earlier and not the day of. Don’t let the white tablecloths and napkins scare you - People were still dressed casual. The staff is a Team - So Great Service and everyone helps each other out - From the Servers to the people that get your TO GO. Parking not a problem. It was a nice way to celebrate the end of my Birthday month - We LOVED IT!!

We’ve come here several times and it’s always a treat. I feel like if an Italian restaurant has been solid for 20+ years in the same spot, it’s a must-have. The staff are the best - kind, knowledgeable and eager to please. The food is outstandingly delicious. Regular rotating specials add some nice variety to the menu. Table seating or bar seating is great either way. Jason and Nancy are pros! Can’t wait til our next dinner at Roko!

Unbelievable. If you are going to be in Wilmington and you do not go to this restaurant, you are missing out. The food was cooked to perfection. The quality of the food was clearly a cut above all other restaurants, and the atmosphere and experience phenomenal. The baklava and Turkish coffee was a perfect finish to a protein heavy well cooked amazing meal. It was by far one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. What an amazing experience, we started with the appetizer platter the hummus was fresh and tasty the falafel was good the eggplant delight was DELICIOUS! The grape leaves were good but I prefer mine warm not cold and there’s is cold but good overall. Our main dish was the special for the day which was a sea bass and it came with the rice and vegetables. The vegetables were shredded and lemony and good the rice was soft and tasted fresh. The fish was good and buttery and flaky it was grilled and cooked perfectly. The deserts were to die for! The kunafe was AMAZING and just like my Tata used to make. The Baklava was fresh and delicious. We left not a crumb on the plate. The Turkish coffee was awesome as well. Overall food was fresh and delicious and it was like walking into a family members house and having a good meal. The place was clean and lively. The customer service was great. As a fellow small business owner it felt good to support this business. 10/10 everyone should try this place.

Unfortunately, the food was very good but the service, attitude and price changes have caused me to never visit again. I did not want a big lunch so I ordered the sampler appetizer. Given I was gluten free the waiter offered to substitute the bread for veggies. When I received my bill, I was charged $15.00 for the appetizer and $4.00 for the veggies. The same sampler appetizer was served to another person at my table and was charged $10.00. When I questioned the amount he informed me it was on the bill. On line that same appetizer is listed for $12.00. Go figure. Never Again!!!!

It’s a small place that seats only 7 tables so you need to get lucky or make a reservation. The owner was extremely friendly and let us sit before a reservation. Food was 10/10. Fantastic. Definitely get the black sea combo and finish with a Turkish coffee. Will return every time I’m in the area.

We absolutely loved our dining experience at this restaurant ! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We indulged in the chicken and beef kebabs, along with the beef patties, and every bite was a burst of flavor. The meats were incredibly juicy and tender, showcasing authentic Mediterranean spices. The service was outstanding, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone eager to savor delicious Mediterranean dishes!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Wilmington, Port Land Grille is a chef-owned culinary haven that celebrates the rich bounty of both land and sea. This charming eatery prides itself on sourcing ingredients from local farmers, fishermen, and ranchers to create imaginative American dishes. The menu features an array of small plates perfect for sharing, such as roasted North Carolina peanut hummus and truffle sweet potato fries, alongside enticing entrees like wild-caught grouper and succulent duck breast.
Friendly, welcoming restaurant with gorgeous decor and both a bar area and outdoor (fire pit patio) seating optional. Every single staff person my husband and I encountered was helpful and kind, which makes for a relaxing experience. The drinks were excellently prepared and the food - from app to entree and even dessert - was exquisite. Superior quality dining. An especially perfect place to bring visiting guests, celebrate occasions, etc. Pricier than some of the other area fare, but absolutely worth the extra few bucks. We had salads, grouper with corn chowder and the tenderloin. The photos do not do justice (especially since we started eating before I remembered to take pics).

My Fiancé and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at this establishment. I would like to say, all staff were completely welcoming and respectful. The food was exceptionally delicious! I ordered the scallops and my fiancé ordered a ribeye. The plating of our food was exquisite and the ambience of the restaurant was swanky. Our server name was Laura, she was an exceptional server and she exceeded our expectations throughout the evening. I assure you that we will be dinning again at this divine restaurant.

This was our first visit. We had an early reservation (5:30pm). We were seated immediately at a table by the window. The atmosphere was nice and quiet with dim lighting which my husband and I both appreciate. Our server Laura was very attentive to our every need. She made our visit here delightful. The white cheddar pimento cheese appetizer was delightful. My husband and I both ordered blackened red snapper which was delectable. It was perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the chowder, corn, spinach, and fingerling potatoes. For dessert, I enjoyed the peaches and cream bread pudding with ice cream, and my husband enjoyed the chocolate pie. We will certainly visit this restaurant again. **We did not think to take pictures until we had already started indulging**

Steak is amazing. Fish is amazing. They can get your order wrong. Espresso coffee not recommended at all. Inside and outside seating available.

Every course was superb. Started with the pimento cheese and the pickled cucumber and pepper jelly was a nice addition. The tuna appetizer was light and yummy. The filet was cooked perfectly and the twice baked potato was super good. The Key Lime Pie did not disappoint but the chocolate chess pie was unbelievable!!!
Heather P — Google review
The food and service were equally excellent. Joe was our server and he was amazing from his recommendation to his over and beyond service. He even put the delicious salad I couldn't finish in the refrigerator for freshness. The food is everything! I had the ribeye and my boyfriend had the lamb chops, both we're amazing and plentiful. We we're visiting from out of town but both of us agreed that we will return again when visiting Wilmington.

Port Land Grille is hands down the best restaurant in Wilmington! We sat outside for dinner next to an outdoor heater, and it was so comfortable and lovely to enjoy a fall evening meal outdoors. The food was absolutely impeccable — we started with the Wedge Salad (best dressing ever!) and pimento cheese, followed by the barrel-cut beef tenderloin with a twice-baked potato and green beans. We finished with the most delicious seasonal cheesecake. My favorite cocktail, the Queen Anne’s Lace, was perfection, and we wrapped up the night with espresso martinis. The wait staff is professional, attentive, and truly works as a team (shout out to Rocky & Brandon!). The owner, Anne, goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home. There’s a reason Port Land Grille has been so successful for 20+ years — they consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience. Add this restaurant to your list for your next date night, girls’ night, celebratory dinner, or family get-together. It will not disappoint. Can’t wait for my next meal at PLG!

Third visit, and all three experiences were top-notch! Not sure why this place isn't packed all the time. They consistently serve really good food at fair prices, and get this...with great service as well! Scroll through my other reviews and you will see that I do not doll out high praise without cause! Dishes are full of spices and flavor, something for everyone, and you select the spice heat level.

I’ll start by mentioning I’ve traveled from one end of India to the other, had lots of Indian food both rural and urban. This place is outstanding, the Chili Shrimp was so delicious, the kabob was great, everything I had was really good. The staff was very attentive, food was prepared in a timely manner, came out hot, just a great experience. I did notice a lot of folks eating there were Indian, when I walked in, figured it was legit. Even had some Kingfisher beer, complimented everything perfectly.
Justgot O — Google review
The interior of the restaurant looks very classy: Tablecloths, silverware, glassware. Service was excellent and the staff very attentive. If you never had Indian food, you might be a bit overwhelmed by the menu. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. We ordered the trio kabob, lamb palak(mild), lamb curry(medium) and bread basket. The lamb was very tender and the spice level was milder than we anticipated. Kabobs were good but a bit dry to our liking. The naan was fresh and hot. We couldn’t get enough of it. If ever we are in the mood for Indian, this will be our go to.
Ben Q — Google review
We came here for a date night, and overall, the experience was good. The service was friendly, though we did feel a bit rushed despite the restaurant not being very busy at the time we arrived. My wife ordered the butter chicken with basmati rice. She enjoyed it, but noted that the flavor was a bit different from other butter chicken she’s had before—it tasted more tomato-based than she’s used to. Of course, we’re not from that culture, so we can’t say exactly how it should taste, but it was still flavorful. I had the lamb Rogan, which is lamb tossed in a spicy yogurt sauce with basmati rice. This dish was excellent—the lamb was tender, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. We also shared the lamb samosas, which came with mint chutney. The chutney was decent, but the lamb filling was a bit dry. On the plus side, they brought out complimentary poori, which was a nice touch. The restaurant itself is cute, and the food definitely has flavor. It was an enjoyable night out and worth a try.

Literally my go to for Indian food in Wilmington. I’ve loved eating here before their remodel but after it’s so much more inviting and all the staff is so nice and respectful. I always get the same things and recommend paneer tiki masala, garlic naan, chai tea and the papad is literally my favorite I could eat my weight in it. I didn’t really like Indian or eating different things before. So this place will always have a special place in my heart for making me love to try new foods. Thank you tandoori bites ❤️❤️❤️

Been coming here for years and it's everything is so delicious and flavorful🤤! Only thing that needs improvement is their naan does not taste as good anymore, it's too thick. They have a great lunch special deal for like $15 and you get a ton of different dishes, even a dessert!

I love this place so much. I’ve been here a bunch of times and every single time the food and the people are amazing. Seriously, every employee is just the nicest and it honestly makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The food is unreal. I wish my stomach was bigger so I could eat everything on the menu in one sitting. I’ve tried most of the entrées and have never once been disappointed. I noticed they redecorated recently and I didn’t even think it could get better here, but it did. The vibe is so cozy and their music is super relaxing. Also, their Indian beer is SO good. Perfect with the food. This is hands down one of my favorite spots in Wilmington. Great food, great people, great vibes. I can’t recommend it enough.

Okami Japanese Steakhouse is a restaurant that offers a variety of dining options in one location. The establishment features talented chefs who cook sushi and hibachi entrees with flair, entertaining guests while they prepare their meals. The traditional space includes private booths for a more intimate dining experience. The restaurant also boasts large teppan grills where the chefs showcase their skills by cooking food right in front of customers' eyes.
On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, my wife and I ate here for the first time after passing by numerous times. We were extremely surprised and pleased with the atmosphere. The staff were really welcoming and extremely friendly. The best and most important part was the food quality. We asked to be seated at a table because we did not want to hibachi grill. Our waiter Mr. Talon displayed EXCEPTIONAL customer service and set the tone for a great dining experience. We had Miso Soups, House salads with Ginger, Hot Green Tea, and Gyozas as starters. Everything was either very fresh or served hot. For the main dish I had Spicy crab salad which was the BEST I ever had. My wife ordered the Hibachi Steak medium rare with fried rice, broccoli, and carrots. She was blown away! We loved our experience and will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I came to eat here after a beach day, and everything was amazing! The food was delicious, and the service was just as great. Our server, Mary Kathryn (according to the receipt), was wonderful! We asked for recommendations and she really came through—especially with the sushi she suggested. We also ordered hibachi, and the portion sizes were definitely enough for two people. We were seated around 9:20 and were full and happy by 10, so the food came out super fast. Highly recommend this place, 10/10.

Appetizers were presented very nicely I must say and the Sushi as well! My main dish in which I took a picture of was delicious, see for yourself!! Very pleased and definitely will return!!!

Picked up a take out order from here about 30 minutes ago. -Steak was not seasoned whatsoever and was Well Done when I ordered Medium Rare (See photo) -Salad was so small it was 3 bites -Ordered 3 ramekins of yum yum sauce, they only filled halfway so what’s the point The ratings are good?? Maybe they just don’t care about Togo.

It's so good all the time. The restaurant could use a face-lift but other than that, its a fun time and the food is very good. 7 out of 10 recommend 👌
Fariel G — Google review
We kept passing by this place everytime we visit Wilmington. We were finally able to try it! We only did the buffet so this rating is only for the buffet not the hibachi. Anyway, we were there before the opening and it can get pretty busy real quickly! Luckily, we were able to sit after waiting in line for few minutes. Our server was very patient with us while we take our time to order. My husband loves yum yum sauce with his sushi and holy mackerel, we never expected a soup of yum yum sauce which is great! The sushi portions are so big, I suggest you order it slowly as the servers isn’t he restaurant are pretty attentive with your needs! We mostly ordered the tempura crunchy stuff in the menu and the crunchiness didn’t disappoint. It was a lot though but we were able to finish everything. I wish the age tofu was already dipped in a sauce since it was pretty big me trying to dip it in the sauce. Anyhow, we enjoyed our dinner. We would definitely come back to try out their hibachi someday!

This place is amazing. After my second time here experiencing the exceptional service and hospitality I figured it’s time to leave an equal review. The wait staff is so kind and professional, they are out going and attentive to any needs or refills and are always happy to help. They seem to love their jobs. There is almost never a wait to be seated and the food is amazing. The service is fast paced and I recommend the all you can eat sushi. This is the best restaurant I have ever been to and I will continue to visit for every date night I can and family gathering.

4/28/25 @1:00pm This was quite possibly the worst establishment I've ever encountered. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. We weren't greeted by anyone, and the unpleasant smell of vomit hit us as soon as we entered. After slowly making our way to the bar where we were two of five people in the entire Resturant” loose term”. We had the pleasure of interacting with the Bartender…. The bartender, who seemed more interested in exchanging pills with a friend than serving customers, completely ignored us for an uncomfortably long time. It was shocking to witness her announce that she couldn't pass a drug test while neglecting her duties. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the phone rang, and she answered it without acknowledging us. She then casually dropped two coasters in front of us and returned to her conversation, leaving us feeling invisible. The overall ambiance was obnoxiously dirty, and it was evident that the bartender had no grasp of proper service. To top it all off, the owner lurked around awkwardly, adding to the uncomfortable atmosphere. If you're looking for a place that embodies poor management and subpar service, this bar is an investor's dream!

We were met immediately upon coming into the restaurant and told we could seat ourselves. The waitress arrived at the table shortly after we sat down. We ordered drinks and appetizers which arrived quickly to our table hot and flavorful. We ordered a large meat lovers pizza, it arrived at the table with plenty of toppings and yes it was huge, enough for additional meals. The pizza is as good as any that I have had from other pizza only places. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs.

Had to travel to Wilmington for work and had a need for my sushi fix. Did a quick Google search for places near my hotel and this popped up. Service was great and the waitress made sure I had everything I needed. I ordered the Philly Roll and the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi. Everything came out quick and tasted really good. The portion sizes were right for the price as well. They gave you an onion soup with the hibachi which I never had before but it was good enough for me to want to go back just for that. I really like the atmosphere of this place, I went on a Thursday night with my family and my in-laws and it felt like a scene out of a movie here. Good live music, people and pets outside, there was even a wiffle ball game going on. I will say the service could have been better. Granted they were very busy, but our waitress kept getting our drinks wrong, and I noticed she was trying to do everything by memory which probably wasn’t the best idea since it was so busy. The food was very flavorful! I ordered the jumbalia which did not disappoint. They really did their thing with that!👌

I haven't been here in a while, but the vibe was still the same, welcoming, kind, helpful. The food was absolutely delicious as always. I ordered the shrimp and grits and must say they are some of the best in town. The portion size was large enough for my lunch, but I also took the leftovers home and had them as a side to another dish. They have a large selection of beers on tap, many local, which I love. The atmosphere isn't too loud like many sports bars, and the bar stools were comfortable. Parking was easy, and there was no wait to be seated despite there being many people there eating.

Late dinner on a Friday night. Sat outside on deck with live music, an acoustic duo. They have a small bar outside if you're hanging out and drinking. We ordered a burger and the Southwest chicken salad. Both were good, but took a long time for the food to come for not being super crowded. Friendly service. Family environment, kids running around. Will come back to check out again.

I really wanted to like this place because I love a great local sports tap room. My son ordered chicken tenders which were much more fried breader than chicken and his fries were ice cold. My wife and I both got pork chops which were fine. However, for $19 I fully expected more than one small pork chop. I know in pictures I saw on google when looking at their menu they had two chops, but apparently something thought they needed to increase their profit margins. Sweet tea was only sweet after you added a few packs of sweetener. Just expected a better meal instead of leaving there trying to figure out what we were going to eat in an hour when we were hungry again. Taps were also down so before we ordered they told us their beer was flat, so was their food.

We stopped in Thursday night for dinner. We were looking for some all-American pub food, and found it in spades. At the table, we had a French dip, fish and chips, wings, burger, and maybe some kind of a smothered chicken. Everybody said that they enjoyed theirs quite a bit. I had the fish and chips and it was prepared perfectly. it was battered perfectly and was very crunchy. I also had chili and some hot wings and both were as good as can be. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place. I'm from Long Island and so are the owners. And this deli brings me right back home again
Mindy S — Google review
So, I really wanted this to be the deli I have been searching for in this area, but it did not live up to the hype. Firstly, the atmosphere is perfect, no issues at all. The staff were friendly, helpful, and they definitely kept the place tidy. However, sandwiches are excessively overpriced for their size (I believe a small roll is the same price as a hero), and the bread is extremely lackluster. For this area, bread is usually pretty bad in delis, but honestly, walmart rolls are better quality than the ones here. The meat is high quality, I believe Boars Head, but the bread is such a detraction, and the portion was very small for the price. I was surprised they had knish on the menu, but when it came out soggy and split in half weirdly, it made me wish they hadn’t offered it at all. In total, two sandwiches, two bags of chips, two drinks and a knish, costs about $38. You could get the same items, better quality and a lot bigger, in NY/NJ for the same price or cheaper.
Matt P — Google review
I was down in Wilmington for a wedding, and a little banged up the morning afterwards. Being a foodie from the Philly metro area, there was nothing I needed more than a solid Deli. That Montauk saved me! I call that sandwich a Jeter from where I’m from. The bacon egg and cheese was solid too. Their bread/bagels are the real deal. A good deli nearby is absolutely essential. Thank you.
Justin C — Google review
Dropped in for a sandwich and a side. Tried their ‘Sicilian’ based on a newspaper review they had posted. Also with a cup of their potato salad. The sandwich had a delicious taste but as usual the amount of meat was kind of small. The potato salad was okay, just potatoes and a white sauce, no other vegetables.

This place is a real find! Serving breakfast all day and delicious sandwiches. Deli items and sliced meats to purchase and take. They serve breakfast all day. I didn’t get to try it because we were there for lunch, but they also have what looked to be a coffee bar. The staff was extremely helpful and the restaurant was clean. Looking forward to my next visit!

The menu features old-school vegan options like lentils and tempeh, as well as classic comfort food with a vegan twist.
Phenomenal place to grab lunch! Their vegan and gluten-free options were very yummy. The interior is cozy with cool decorations. And our waitress was attentive and upbeat. They also have homemade ice cream and milkshakes. 5/5 stars in all categories! We even took photos outside because the mart next door has a “Greetings from Wilmington” mural.

We were traveling from Florida and stayed in Wilmington for the night. As vegetarians, we decided to check this spot out—and we’re so glad we did. The vibe is rad and nostalgic, with a vintage clothing store next door and a consignment shop right across the street. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and super chill. But most importantly—the food. When I say the Big Mac–inspired lentil burger changed my life, that’s an understatement. We also tried the buffalo crunchy dog and the cheesesteak, and every bite blew us away. The flavors are incredible, the ingredients are top-notch, and they even have cannabis beer for all the Cali-sober friends. Ps check out the bathrooms 🦩 This place is a gem—we’ll definitely be back!

WOW! Gem of a restaurant! Incredible food, amazing selection, welcoming staff and atmosphere. We will definitely be making this our go to stop to and from the beach from now on! Love the decor and food presentation. The shake was so tasty, the falafel came heart shaped, and the shrimp taco was so fresh and crispy! Always happy to support a local, all vegan place. You won’t be disappointed!

If you are vegan you absolutely HAVE to try this delightful restaurant! The inside is funky, and eclectic . (Make sure ti check out the really neat bathrooms ) The service was top notch and the food was outstanding ! I ordered the cashew queso with chips, the wings and the shrimp tacos!! All were very delicious! I ordered my first vegan brownie sundae to end the meal. If I could give them 10 stars I would !!!! Definitely Definitely will be back !

If you are looking for a fresh feeling, unique spot, that is like a ‘70s style diner but with modern vibes and a vegan flair, look no further! Friendly waitstaff, locally owned and amazing food! Highly recommended!

Everything offered at Sealevel is vegan, but if you didn’t know or ask you likely wouldn’t realize it. Eating here as a vegan I get to feel “normal”. Their offerings are replicas of traditionally non-vegan foods, like a bbq sandwich. Their desserts are amazing. The chocolate cake with pecans is my favorite; again, you wouldn’t know it’s made vegan by taste.
JoAmber D — Google review
My partner brought me here for the first time today and this was my first time ever really having vegan food and it was beyond my expectations. The food was great and so was the service, the people here are very friendly. We got the porto melt and the bacon burger and will definitely be eating here again.

A fun diner spot to bring vegans and vegan friendly folk. The meat replacements are delicious even if they don't taste like what they're trying to replace. Would love to go back and try some of their vegan hot dogs or milkshakes

I came expecting a completely different restaurant. Nippy's is now available Restobar. The service was great. Order that pineapple lemonade. I ordered the pork chops with collards and mac and cheese and it did not disappoint. The cornbread was chef's kiss! I will be returning!

If I could give 10 stars I would. I came all the way from Allentown pa just to try this food and it DELIVERED. Mr Webo the owner, was on the road w his food truck (webos food truck) and one of his relatives was around when we were looking to see if we could get into the restaurant. She kindly called him up, told him we were on the hunt, and he said he’d wait for us along with his staff over in Burgaw NC. WOW I’ve never experienced such love and kindness in service at all. We got over there, met with the utmost kindness and warmth, we ordered our food and LET ME SAY this PA girl was impressed. The homemade juice was amazing. My friend with me usually hates strawberry and she had that, it was amazing. She loved it. I had the pineapple and it was truly refreshing. Now the food: What I had: Fried chicken wings. - cooked to perfection and seasoned extrem well. Hot and crunchy, juicy, crispy literally everything you want in a chicken when u ask for fried chicken. Mac n cheese: yummy, gooey, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. Had it for breakfast this morning leftovers. So good. Has a chicken taste to it I wondered if the pasta was boiled with the chicken broth they had. If so, that’s genius. Chicken and rice: seasoned, hot, excellent. No skimping on the chicken in there either. It was amazing. The broth they cooked it with was so flavorful it pulled everything together and married the whole dish. I’ve never had southern food before unless is was made up north where I’m from. And that was disappointing. BUT WEBO RESTORED my love for soul food. You can just tell this meal was made with LOVE. cooking with love. I grew up in an Arabic home. You can TELL when something is prepped that way, and cooked that way. I’m honored to have the opportunity to try it and I will be singing webos praises all the way up north.

I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff was very nice to us, I do wish our waitress would have come to the table more to offer refills, but over all the food was great. Plate 1: Pork ribs, Mac n Cheese, yams rice gravy. Plate 2: Beef ribs, black eye peas, fried mushrooms, rice and gravy. Extra Sides: Cabbage, Collards, Chittlins. I'll come back.

Just left this wonderful place with delicious food. Going inside I saw the sign about feeding the homeless twice a month. That is an amazing blessing for the community. Olivero, located at 522 South 3rd St. in Wilmington, North Carolina, is a gem in the city's dining scene. This restaurant offers a modern yet inviting ambiance and exceptional culinary experience. The menu features a skillful combination of Italian and Spanish flavors, with an impressive cocktail bar. The restaurant's reservation-only policy adds an exclusive touch to the dining experience.
A special place! They have steak and salad but I say try something more interesting. We got many seafood dishes and some Italian fare. Every bite was absolutely excellent. For me, the appetizers were my favorite part. Relaxed atmosphere but still exceptional service you expect with fine dining. When you take a bite of the rigatoni, all your troubles will melt away and you’re a small happy child once more. We celebrated a birthday and the desert was on the house. Classy. Btw no matter how full you are DO NOT pass on the salted caramel panna cotta. Every one needs to taste it. Apparently in the late afternoon reservations can be snagged from parties who canceled. We made a reservation ourselves a month in advance. Worth it.

Fantastic experience! Visiting from London, and my friend Michael brought me here for dinner. We shared the red beets appetizer—absolutely outstanding. I had the ribeye, he had the vegetarian lasagna—both were excellent. Warm, friendly service made it even better. Highly recommend. Reservation is a must.

Absolutely phenomenal meal. Had the warm dates, crab croquettes, and mortadella/fontina beignets as starters - all delicious (beignets were the most interesting/unique of the three). Had the roasted beets and crispy cauliflower for a salad course - the cauliflower was so good we ordered a second serving with our entrees. Had the agnolotti and grilled chicken thigh for our main course - both solid and the chicken may have been my favorite dish of the night. Had a panna cotta and a Basque cheesecake for dessert - both delicious but the cheesecake was the standout. Great beverage program, beautiful restaurant, attentive and friendly service. Overall 10 out of 10 experience - highly recommend.

I can honestly say this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. From the moment I walked in, everything felt thoughtful and welcoming. From the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly, the food. Every dish was prepared with such attention to detail, and the flavors were unforgettable. Each bite felt perfectly balanced, fresh, and made with care. The staff went above and beyond, not only making sure everything was perfect at the table but also creating a warm and genuine experience. It wasn’t just a meal, it was something memorable. I left already looking forward to coming back. If you’re looking for a place that truly sets the standard for excellent dining, this is it.

We really love this restaurant. The drinks are outstanding, appetizers and pasta dishes are unique and tasty. We have always had great service. The desserts are so good we usually do not order desert but we always get one here! It’s a great date night option. The overall dinner for two with drinks appetizer and dessert was about $125 so prepare to spend money but the cost is worth it!

First off let me say if this is your first time going at night leave a little earl. Parking is hard to find. Also there is no visible sign t night for the restaurant. Food was great, atmosphere was really nice. Overall we really enjoyed it. The only thing I didn’t like is do not let you change any of the sides that come with the meal. Not good if you have dietary restrictions.
Mikema — Google review
If I could give this place more than 5 stars I absolutely would. I love a quality dining experience and that has been hard to come by following the pandemic. Olivero absolutely delivered hospitality, excellent service, incredible food and just an amazing overall experience. I appreciated that you are greeted and asked if the staff can get you a drink while you’re waiting for your table in the waiting area since the bar is also reservation only. The cocktails were excellent, so much complexity in flavor and Roy, the bar manager and menu creator was kind enough to explain how he focused on the cocktail menu mirroring the culinary roots of the dinner menu. Roy took time at our table to talk about cocktails and wine and went out of his way to make our experience special. Our server, Mikean was top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable, kind and professional. She gave her insights on the menu and her favorite dishes when asked and she recommended some stellar dishes. The food was incredibllleeeee. The croquettes, escabeche, beignets, cauliflower, and steak were amazing. I also haven’t been to a restaurant where the chef is so involved in serving the food and explaining dishes to guests. Chef Lauren is beyond talented. I just can’t say enough about the whole experience. It made our anniversary even more special. We will absolutely be back for another evening at Olivero.
Shana P — Google review
Classy in every sense of the word! I was taken here for my birthday where they had a handwritten note and free sparkling 🥂 waiting for me. We sat at the bar in comfortable seats with a back. Loved sitting there, waited on by the bartender and watching her making drinks. She also was very patient with us as we asked her about each drink's ingredients. It is a group effort among the servers and everything flowed: We had at least 4 of them to serve drinks, bring us food and dessert, and take our credit card. The delicious food is so plentiful that we split the salad entree, dessert, and even an Old Fashioned! They never blinked an eye at our request. As we were about to leave, the sky fell. The bartender told us there was no rush, to feel free to stay in our seats (we made sure no diners were waiting for our seats). I see why it takes 3 months to get a reservation!🌹

Dined here last night with my wife and daughter and could not have enjoyed it more. The dining room is clean and airy and very comfortable. Warmly greeted at door we enjoyed excellent and friendly service at bar as we enjoyed a cocktail. Moved to our table and service continued to be excellent with food being the highlight. Everything here is completely vegan and ethically sourced and absolutely delicious. Flavorful and very satisfying we enjoyed every part of the whole experience. Highly recommend.

Went here for our anniversary and everything was exquisite. We had the cornbread for our appetizer, which featured matcha butter and strawberry ginger jam. My wife had the charred and I had the paella, both of which were incredibly delicious. We loved that the entire menu was vegan and the restaurant had a clear commitment to sustainability - even the bathrooms had washable cloths instead of paper towels. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a refined, vegan dining experience!

Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar is a beloved establishment that has been serving up freshly caught seafood and locally sourced ingredients since 1980. With a casual setting and a menu featuring classic surf n turf options like the Fried Captains Platter and Shrimp & Grits, Hieronymus has become a popular local institution known for its reasonable prices and impeccable service.
Hieronymus Seafood is a must-visit if you’re in Wilmington and love fresh, local seafood. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with that classic coastal charm that instantly puts you in a good mood. The service was excellent—friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server made great recommendations and made sure everything came out just right. The seafood was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The oysters were a standout—plump, briny, and delicious. We also tried the shrimp and grits and the crab cakes, and both were absolutely packed with flavor. You can tell they really care about the quality of their ingredients. They also have a nice outdoor seating area, which is perfect when the weather’s nice. All in all, a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

The Cajun Pasta and she crab soup was so good! 🤤 Fresh catch was made to order, was also good, just needed more salt. The grits with lobster cream sauce were just ok…The cheddar biscuits unfortunately were not fresh and were not good. Service was good, no complaints! Oh and the oysters with crab dip were amazing. I would return again…this was our 3rd time.

Somehow this place is both very laid back and also high class at the same time. The server and hostess were both friendly and welcoming, and our server was helpful with assisting me in picking out a fish to try. I've never had seafood before, and she recommended the Golden Tile, which was really yummy. It had a very mild flavor, but the preparation was delicious. My husband got the shrimp and flounder, and he said it was amazing. Their fries were perfect, the salad was fresh and crisp, and the biscuits they served us before our meal were splendid! I also overheard another server telling some other guests that the seashells in the tables are caught by them, and that they switch them out a few times a year. It was really cool!

After a very busy week my wife and I went back to a favorite classic seafood restaurant, Hieronymus, for a celebration dinner before we stayed for the first time in our new abode! We started with drinks and garlic rolls and oysters followed Caesar salads and balanced with Golden Tile Fish for both with my wife having Herbed Grilled Golden Tile fish and mashed potatoes while I had the Golden Tile fish Carolina style with collard greens! The food was as usual excellent and our server, Jessica, made our evening even more enjoyable while she was making sure we had the best service on this special night!

Decided to make the drive to visit. And we were not disappointed. The appetizers were spot on. We ordered the Oysteronymus (spelling) and She Crab Soup. Both excellent. For our meal we went with the platters. The oysters, shrimp and scallops were cooked very well but the star of the day was the flounder. It was so fluffy and delicate I was sad to see it gone. However I was not so impressed with the grits and lobster sauce. It was a little dry. But the food more than made up for the grits. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. She did an awesome job caring for us. Bottom line, if you're in town go there because you will not be disappointed.

5 ⭐️ - Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant: Bringing the Fresh Flavors Since '72! If you're looking for a genuine Wilmington seafood staple, you have to stop at Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant. This place has been "bringing the fresh flavors" for decades—since 1972, and it still "rocks”. the house" when it comes to taste. We dropped by for a late lunch and were so thoroughly impressed that we canceled our planned dinner reservations elsewhere just to order takeout from here again. LUNCH: Flavor Overload in the Best Way The crowd was light, the kitchen was clearly on its A-game. Every single thing we ordered was top-notch. We started with the Garlic Cheddar Biscuits, which were buttery, soft, and perfect, but they reached legendary status once we dipped them into the Lobster Cream Grits. This grits dish is the star of the show: a one-of-a-kind, knock-out flavor bomb LOBSTER CREAM that is simply WOW! Seriously, it's rich, savory, and an absolute must-try. The Grilled Seafood Platter (Blackened Shrimp & Scallops) was amazingly tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection. It's the kind of subtle flavor that proves they use high-quality, fresh ingredients. Paired with the Sea Crab Soup, the whole meal was a seafood flavor overload that was simply GREAAAAAT. DINNER: The Captain's Platter Wins For dinner, we decided on the Captain’s Seafood Platter, featuring flounder, shrimp, oysters, scallops, clam strips, Brussels sprouts, and, thankfully, more grits with that creamy lobster sauce. Normally, a large fried platter isn't my first choice, but the light, crispy batter and spot-on seasoning left no choice but to dig in. The variety was excellent, with every component tasting perfectly cooked and distinct. Even the Brussels sprouts were perfectly done, providing a nice counterpoint to the rich seafood. From the first buttery biscuit to the last scallop, the quality of both meals was phenomenal. Hieronymus isn't just a community staple; it's a culinary destination. When I'm in Wilmington, NC, this will be my absolute go-to, and I strongly recommend you make it yours too! Creating Exposure…Through Food mP….

WHAT IS IN THE FARMERS OMELETTE THAT MAKES IT SO DELICIOUS?!?! Our delightful server Madison recommended that to go with my cheesy grits and a sweet potato pancake and they must be using some dark magic for everything to taste this good. Setting the bar high for our first meal in Wilmington, NC!

This cute place is delightful! We got there just after 10 on a Sunday and only had about a 30 minute wait. I ordered the Dixie bowl and the server was delighted I had found their secret menu! Good old Dixie. An institution, for sure and it never disappoints. They have up their food standards and we were pleasantly surprised. The omelette is fluffy, with just enough stuffing; the market Benedict was delicious with fried green tomatoes and Vidalia onion gravy; and nicely plated. They even cut the scallions on a bias now. Home fries were cubed nicely and well seasoned. We appreciate the change.

We have been coming to this restaurant for 10 years now and over the years we have noticed a decline in the food quality. A time or two ago, we swore that we would never come back but we always get sucked back in because it's on the water and after a few hours of kayaking we are usually hungry and just want a cold beer and some shrimp. The peel and eat shrimp use to be good but lately they have been just ok. The beer is no longer served in bottles but now is in cans only. They use to have beer on tap but no longer have that either. Today we stopped in after kayaking, knowing that it was going to be hit or miss. Well today was the final straw. We were seated immediately and then waited about 20 minutes before somebody came to take our drink order. It was a female waitress who did not introduce herself and we asked about the beer hoping that maybe something had changed, but no. We don't like beer in cans, so my friend ordered a coke and I ordered a cocktail, a Spicy Paloma which I have had before at other restaurants. We waited another 20 minutes for our drinks to come and mine seemed like it had been sitting a while because the ice was mostly melted and the drink was very watered down. My friends coke was watered down also. We should have sent them back and left at that point. Once I found a straw and stirred my drink it was a little better. However a Paloma is usually a little fizzy and this was not. It was just not good. The Tajin was all over the outside of the plastic "glass" instead of on the rim. We finally placed our food order and waited another 20 minutes until our food came. We both ordered the fiesta bowl. Mine was with chicken and my friends was with shrimp. We had never had this before and will never again. The shrimp were tiny and looked like they had been frozen. My bowl with the chicken was a little better. The bowls were mostly rice and it was very dry. Of course when we realized this our missing in action waitress was nowhere to be seen. We asked another male waiter for ranch dressing and he went and got her. So we asked her for ranch dressing and she brought us 2. This made the bowls a little bit better but just ok. The other food item that we ordered was the homemade potato chips which are always good. When the waitress brought our ranch dressing we went ahead and requested the check because by now we had been there over an hour. Of course she brought the check immediately. I put my credit card with the check to let her know that she could take the check but she never came back. When we waited as long as we were willing to wait, we got up and went to the hostess station like we had seen the couple at the table next to us do. The hostess asked who our waitress was and we told her that we had no idea as she had not introduced herself. The hostess then asked us what she looked like - at this point we were really annoyed and showed her which table we were seated at. She went off to find our waitress and left us standing there waiting. Our waitress finally appeared and took our payment and we left. We were there for 1 hour and 20 minutes....for lunch, not by our choosing. As we walked out we once again said.. ..never again. I'm not sure who is managing the staff but they should be fired. It appears that there is very little training or accountability.

Dockside Restaurant was nice to visit while in Wrightsville Beach, NC. 4/5 service, 4/5 food plating and taste/preparation and a good atmosphere. This lil Restaurant is open air seating with some under a covered tent area. You will find beautiful views. Steamed oysters seemed fresh, but under cooked during the steaming process. The "catch if the day," tuna was good. The blackened seasoning was too much/too salty, but pretty good. $20.00 for a tuna sandwich and house-made chips is pricey, but you're also buying the location. Easy parking can be found just across the street. Enjoy!

This place is great. Maddie was great. She happily took our photo with the sign and in front of water. Very helpful in helping us choose our food. The chicken pita was excellent and the vegetables were the best I've ever eaten. Compliments to the chef! Wish we didn't live so far away.

Great spot by the water with lots of outdoor seating and is dog friendly. Thomas took excellent care of us and the food was served faster than expected. We had the Founder platter with hushpuppies. Both were cooked perfectly with great flavor. I got the crab cakes entree with fries and a southern harvest salad. I was spoiled by Maryland crab cakes and I think these are the best I’ve had since. The salad came with a fruit vinaigrette that paired perfect with the fruit and nuts on the salad. We’ll definitely be back.

I ordered the dockside lemonade. It’s 14 dollars served in a small glass and the description says strawberry purée and really the just mixed strawberry lemonade from the store w the vodka. We ordered the tsunami honey fire shrimp app and it’s just a bunch of small tiny chewy shrimp with Buffalo hot sauce drenched in it. I have had dinner here before and the entire parties food that included tacos/burger/fish were all disgusting. My tacos were inedible. The fries were amazing tho!

Had the zucchini fries, they are cut like pickle chips. They also had a plant based veggie burger option. $16 for the burger only extra for sides.

The food was amazing. We had the half pound peel and eat shrimp, the tuna nachos, and a harvest salad. Our waitress was not around very much, but one of the neighboring waitresses took us on and provided excellent service. The view was spectacular!

Adorable shop with amazing cupcakes and abundant choices of flavors. We tried 4 different flavors, each were amazing! Definitely a must stop to treat yourself if you're walking around downtown! ❤️ 😍

Beautiful place; my wife was looking for anniversary cake for us to eat. We picked 4 delicious cupcakes from this store. Thank you for honoring the Lord Jesus Christ by playing Christian music. The checkout process with the QR code was streamlined. God bless you and your business!

My daughter chose a cookies and cream cupcake and as she was eating it (maybe 10 minures after purchase) we found mold in the center. My child is allergic to mold, so this could've been very bad if I hadn't caught it before she ate it. I had planned to go purchase more cupcakes to take home, but I'll pass. I'd also like a refund. FYI, tried calling the number and did not get an option to leave a message. Also, tried FB and got a message saying you won't respond there. So, before you blast me, as you did other people who complained of MOLD, don't try that with me, I even asked another local business if they knew how to contact you. You may want to try actually speaking to customers and not avoiding them.

Purchased a cupcake yesterday. As I was eating I found mold in the middle. At first, I thought it was randomly a piece of blue cheese. Since that was the flavor I was getting, but then, as I looked closer, I realized it was mold growing on something in the cupcake. —I really appreciate the additional comment/ follow up from the owner. I can say that the cupcake was delicious up until that point. 😆. I hope you find a solution!

Bought some cupcakes last night (6/4/25) for my wife’s bday. Our first time trying and we were so excited. We got home and decided to save our treats so we put them in the refrigerator. Well today I get home from work and decided to have a sweet tray for a snack. I start eating a cupcake and notice an odd taste from the filling. I look down a find mold. Needless to say we will not be going back.

Saw the "Cupcakes" sign from the corner and had to go check it out and man are we glad we did!!! A cool variety of flavors already packaged and ready to go. We took ours back to our hotel and enjoyed with a cup of coffee. They were all delicious!

Omg!! This place was so cute. After dinner my daughter and I were walking to our car and ran across this place. We were surprised by the self-checkout/honor system. It was easy to shop and easy to pay. The cupcake was delicious too! We will definitely be back.

So, overall I was disappointed. judging from the other reviews I feel like maybe my experience (with the cupcakes not the service) was one of the few not so great, based off of all the good reviews I’ve read. We got 6 cupcakes and only three of them taste good. Peppered cupcake- AMAZING Berry something GF- TO DIE FOR Strawberry lemonade- great! Minus the yellow frosting that had the taste and texture of butter with a hint of lemon (we did eat this just not yellow frosting) Coconut and birthday cake - SALTY- WAY too salty to eat And the double chocolate something (I think)- just absolute liquid sugar overload

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Osteria Cicchetti, affectionately known as the OC to locals, is a casual Italian restaurant and wine bar in downtown Wilmington. The interior exudes a charming ambiance reminiscent of an open piazza at night. The menu features traditional Italian dishes with a fresh and modern twist, offering pizzas, pastas, and meat dishes. The restaurant also boasts an extensive wine list and expertly crafted cocktails made with premium spirits and fresh ingredients.
Very pleased with this beautiful place. Very open and alive environment. Food was delicious. 8 of had 8 different dishes and they were all amazing!! Drinks were on point as well!!!

Fantastic Italian food in a beautiful setting. Rustic but with class. Some of very best food I have had in Wilmington in my 21 years here. Great service. Our server, Dan, was friendly, attentive & answered any questions we had in a friendly, professional & courteous manner. Will definitely be making more visits.

Omg!!!! After a day at the beach we wanted an Italian meal. We all got Alfredo which we eat Alfredo once a week so kinda consider us Alfredo snobs. This I was the best Alfredo we have had in a VERY long time! I got extra sauce as I like mine a little more saucy. It was very flavorful which we love as many Alfredo's can be bland. I got a Ceaser salad and the bread was very fresh and soft. We are coming back to Wilmington over NYE and will be picking up Alfredo from here again!

Beautiful establishment and great atmosphere. FANTASTIC SERVICE by Keith 10/10 for sure. He was so attentive not just to our table of two but all other tables around us. My friend and I were there to celebrate her bday and he was so kind and attentive. Loved talking to him and about all of the desserts that he makes since I am a baker myself. Sounds like he is such a hard worker and it shows. Wish I had tried the desserts. Our food was 10/10 if I could give it more I would. Sadly I am on a strict gluten free diet but had the gluten free penne in Vodka Sauce with chicken, it was delicious and warm, no way you can tell it was gluten free. The sauce was sooooo DELICIOUS!!! My friend who is Italian ordered the meatballs for appetizer and said they were incredible and she had the Pesto pasta with chicken also and it was cooked perfectly and delicious. We had no room for dessert and I regret not bring it home to have. Can’t wait to be back in the area and go there for dinner.

Our server, Sydney, was amazing tonight when it was evident to anyone who ate here that the kitchen staff was new and/or undergoing changes, and backed up! She didn’t have to tell us, we witnessed it firsthand listening to the ladies at the table next to us (with a different server) how long they’d waited for to-go tiramisu (40 minutes).. She came by our table numerous times checking in with a smile which we much appreciated knowing the food was out of her control. As folks who used to work in the restaurant industry many moons ago we appreciate all she did to make the experience, and our date night amazing. She should be acknowledged at your restaurant. No manager ever came over to apologize, Sydney did though which in my opinion with the way the restaurant was being operated tonight wasn’t her job as a server. Managers always step up to the plate, and she’s doing the job of a manager.

We’ve been going to Osteria Cicchetti for 20 years, both the Military Cutoff location as well as the Monkey Junction location (before it closed). It was always one of the best Italian Restaurants in Wilmington. Over the past few years we’ve seen many changes. Just like most good restaurants, prices go up and menu choices go down. We decided to have dinner there tonight and unfortunately this may be the last time we go there. The food was not bad, it just wasn’t great. The plate on the table had pieces of old dried food on it. Not a good start. My wife ordered the Penne Vodka and I ordered the Veal Parm with angel hair pasta. I also ordered a Soprano Pizza to go, even though it hasn’t been on the menu for years. The best way I can describe the overall meal was “it was okay, nothing special”. When I go to one of my favorite restaurants, I want it to be exceptional, not just “okay”. When we got home I opened the Soprano Pizza box and found what looked like 1/2 of what I used to get years ago. It was like one slice of pizza and it was much thinner than what we used to get. Hey I get it. Restaurants have to figure out a way to keep costs down. Honestly, $130 isn’t terrible for dinner for two, especially when you’re also taking a pizza home for tomorrow. I just can’t honestly say, “we’ll be back soon”, because quite honestly, I’d rather pay $180 for a dinner for two but have that food be “ GREAT”.

We made a reservation for 18 on a busy Saturday night for my mom’s birthday. Ended up having an extra person come so had 19. They could not have been more accommodating and kind!! The service was absolutely excellent, our waitress Shannon was unshaken by all of my crazy family switching seats, splitting checks. As a former server I don’t know how she did it, and she did it with so much kindness too. The food was amazing, came out in perfect timing. I could not speak more highly of this place for larger groups! Thank you so much.

I booked a Thanksgiving reservation at Osteria Cicchetti on November 1. On November 18, I received a voicemail saying they are canceling it because they are not actually open on Thanksgiving. That leaves me eight days to find another restaurant, and everything is already booked. I know this is not the end of the world, but it is frustrating. This is something the restaurant could have flagged weeks ago. They also could have updated Resy at the start of the year to reflect holiday closures. As a customer who planned ahead, it is disappointing to be left without options so close to the holiday.

Fat Tony's Italian Pub is a casual sports bar located in an old downtown building with pine floors and red brick walls, giving it a well-worn character. The menu has shifted to focus more on beer, offering between twenty to thirty craft beers on tap, along with cocktails and a wine list. The pub also serves house-made pizza twists that are highly recommended. Visitors praise the efficient and attentive service, as well as the enjoyable atmosphere.
I would definitely come back & recommend! We had a great experience - our waitress was nice and attentive, it was a great day to sit out on the back patio, and the food was amazing! The 5 Cheese Tortellini with Pesto was delicious! And the bruschetta too (I realized I've always had pretty hard bread with it & this was much more enjoyable)

I found that both dishes were somewhat lacking in flavor. Specifically, the marinara sauce was overly sweet, and the cheese and steak sandwich was a bit dry. However, the water was quite refreshing, the fries were good, and the waiter provided excellent service 👌 👍 👏

It was a beautiful fall day and we wanted to eat outside with a view of the cape fear river and Fat Tony's had it all. We enjoyed our meal on the patio. Most of the tables weren't covered and there was some clutter on the floor. The patio is shared with the restaurant next door lacking full view of the river. Food was great, I specially enjoyed the marinara sauce.

Our server was really sweet and attentive. My Italian sub was huge and really good, fries were nice and crispy with a Cajun kick. My boyfriend got the baked ziti and said it was good, also a larger portion. The Mac and cheese bites were disappointing. I tasted no Gouda, the inside was like Kraft Mac and cheese & for almost $10, we expected more than 6 chicken nugget size bites. The bartender was close enough that we could hear and he seemed miserable the whole time and told the server at 930 as customers walked in that no, they’re closed, but the open time says till 10 so idk what that was about. Overall a decent experience for a rainy Thursday evening.
Ashley E — Google review
We were just passing by and saw a veranda with tables, chairs, and a sign that this was an Italian pub with pizza (we entered from the riverwalk). It was a chilly, rainy morning and we were craving coffee. Unfortunately, they didn't have coffee. But we decided to order pizza. We ordered a personal pizza and a calzone. We waited a long time, convincing ourselves that this wasn't just any pizza, that they were making it for us from the ground up—from the dough. The waiter, Justin, was very nice and came by several times to check if everything was okay, and he brought us a small glass of espresso. But we started getting angry because we wanted hot coffee, it was drizzling. We were cold and ready to leave. But we waited! And finally got our foood! Just LOOK! We didn't leave a crumb of what Justin brought us. It was absolutely delicious. The hot cheeses inside the calzone instantly changed our mood. And the pizza was super delicious. I usually don't like pizza crusts and leave them on the plate, but using the delicious freshly made tomato sauce with basil, I ate absolutely the whole thing. Absolutely delicious!!

The calzone was excellent and my daughter loved the baked spaghetti. I was also able to watch various college football games on the numerous TV's. However, I asked for 1 TV to be changed to a specific game, they said they would but never did. Still a great place.

My entire experience was well above my expectations. The reviews that I have read just do not say enough. My service was exceptional and many thanks to Kiely! The bruschetta was a wonderful start to a great meal! I added chicken to the (5) Cheese Tortallini, complimented by my Voodoo Ranger draft beer(s). Huge shout out to Kiely and if they could clone her, every table would be occupied!

Fat Tony's hosted our group of 25 runners visiting from Charleston, SC the evening before the Battleship Wilmington Half Marathon. The GM, Erin, was very patient with me as we went through all the menu options for our group leading up to the event. She made great suggestions for appetizers and entrees, all of which were huge portions and delicious. We were seated promptly, greeted by Kiely, and served drinks quickly. They had a great selection of local craft beers and plenty of non-alcoholic options too. Our food came quickly and we never lack any attention, even with the usual busyness of a Saturday night. All the staff was very welcoming. Location was perfect and we were able to walk to our hotels and AirBnBs (right next to the start/finish line and on the water). Great experience!

Delicious blackened tuna tacos and a fried flounder basket.Reasonably priced too. The tuna tacos were cooked perfectly, flavorful big chunks of tuna. Definitely add guacamole! I didn’t try the flounder but the fries were really good. Cold beer and a beautiful waterfront marina view. Our server was excellent. She greeted us, knew the menu well, brought drinks, and food quickly. We had a great time and really enjoyed it. I’ve been twice before and I’ll definitely go again!

The food was fantastic. Stopped in around 4pm on the way back from the beach and sat outside. We wound up in the sun and that was the only negative. The food was fantastic. Delicious food with a good marinara view and vibes. It's got the view, it's got the vibes, it's got the food. What more can you ask for? If you are looking for a chill, (not too expensive) meal on the water, this is it! Everything is served in plastic baskets and the mojito was pretty weak - that's the only reason it gets a 4 Star. Everything else was exactly what we were looking for after a long day sitting on the beach in the sun.

Fish House Grill is a casual spot that delivers both flavor and portion size, perfect for sharing a meal with family or friends. Food: • The nachos were a standout starter—loaded with pulled chicken, black beans, jalapeños, melted cheese, pico de gallo, and served with fresh guacamole and salsa. Every bite was flavorful and hearty. • The pineapple bacon cheddar burger struck a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and pairing it with steamed broccoli was a nice, fresh touch. • The tacos were generously filled, whether chicken, pork, or beef, topped with fresh onions, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo. Each came with a side of blue corn chips and dipping sauces, making them both filling and customizable. Presentation & Portions: Dishes came out well-portioned in classic red trays lined with paper, giving it a fun, laid-back vibe. The portions are large, so come hungry or be ready to share. Atmosphere: The outdoor seating had a lively, relaxed feel—great for groups and casual dining. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy good food without pretense. Overall: Fish House Grill nails casual dining with bold flavors, generous servings, and a menu that balances comfort classics with a fresh twist. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a satisfying, relaxed meal.

Fantastic experience. Chef Ryan presented a stellar meal from start to finish. Heather paired our wines with our dishes and it was absolutely perfect. I went to there for dinner last night, I had a amazing experience. I spent all day in the ocean, we were tired, so we even didn’t do any research about this restaurant, we just wanted to choose restaurants convenience for us, while the experience was amazing. I had amazing octopus ever, it’s crunchy out and keep the tender inside at the same, that’s great, my usually experience were too crunchy and lost tender, while they did it. I also ordered scallop that’s was great as well, it’s rich texture and tasty. I sat out near by water it’s really privacy, so we can just enjoy chatting and eating. I love it. What’s more, when we tried to take selfie, the nice pretty waiter saw it(sorry I forgot your name, you’re awesome last night thank you ), she offered to take for us, she took couple different pictures I love it, I like her so much, she answered a lot questions for about menus, even she recommended some great options for us, so you can believe the waiter working there, if you don’t know which will good choice for you. Because it’s our three years anniversary, she took the amazing pictures for us as our memories. We came from Seattle, this restaurant is greater than Seattle’s best French restaurant Pink Door too much. I had a amazing adventure last night.

The food, service, and atmosphere was all great! We went for dinner and ate on the outdoor patio. It was gorgeous and felt very upscale with the fountain and string lights. Definitely get a reservation because they seemed pretty busy and I was glad we had a table reserved. We got the airline chicken breast and the boeuf bourguignon and dessert. It was all very tasty, but the boeuf was the best.

Had a great dinner here yesterday — the steak frites were spot on. The steak was cooked with a perfect sear and the fries were crispy and really tasty. Simple dish, done really well. Their caesar salad was also quite good. They have a wide offering of wines that pair well with their dishes too. I didn't get to try the lamb or rabbit dishes that the others in our group got, but those looked great as well. The vibe in the restaurant is relaxed but still has that nice French bistro feel. It's never too crowded, which makes it easy to get a table without a long wait — always a plus. Service was great too. The staff knew their stuff and were super attentive without hovering. Felt well taken care of from start to finish. This is one of my favorite spots in Wilmington!

I’m rating the brunch experience only. I can’t say all the time but we do dine here pretty often and it’s always good. Now for brunch experience, we were very excited to try it once they announced it. We were the first table of the morning, no one else in the restaurant but a couple at the bar and they were already “out” of two items we selected. Ok no bog deal, service was ok, but now the bad part, you think French, you think amazing pastries, everything we ordered was either burnt from overheating or tasted old. The watermelon salad came missing ingredients too… We were a party of 6, most of us got the quiche and it left much to be desired. The brunch unfortunately is a no go for us.

This was my birthday dinner from my amazing husband. Chris and Joe were our servers and were absolutely phenomenal! The food was (oh my goodness) the best we've ever had! We started with the BBQ shrimp for an appetizer. The main entrée for myself was the baked stuffed chicken breast and a T-bone steak for my husband. We shared the sides of Zucchini fries and bacon-honey Brussel sprouts. Then for dessert it was the chocolate sin cake. Y'all these were top of the line choices cooked to perfection and served by the finest servers! If I could give more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat!

We will be coming back! Definitely I recommend!!!

I’ll start with the food, the veal ravioli appetizer was delicious. The salads were fresh and the homemade dressings are the best I’ve had. The steaks are absolutely amazing. The lobster Mac and cheese is one of the best sides on the menu. The mushrooms cremini and garlic mashed potatoes are a close second. The cream brûlée is a must. Let’s talk about our server Joe, this guy is the absolute best server I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He makes you feel like you’ve been friends since childhood. The next time you go to Ruth’s Chris request Joe, you will leave with a new friend.

I asked for a stuffed chicken breast dinner and when it was served it had 2 legs sticking up from the top. I asked the waiter what this meal was called & he said it was airline chicken. I asked what airline chicken was & he posted to my plate. I had asked him to take it back & bring me a 22oz T Bone steak. When the very expensive bill came it included the chicken breast dinner. Mind you this was our 37th wedding anniversary dinner. We will not be going back to this establishment. Mind you the valet service was very professional. Never again The Sarubbi’s

My boyfriend and I love this place and have been coming a lot this past year. We are used to amazing service and amazing food every time we come! We dined there this evening and the food and drinks were exceptional (as always) but I wish I could say the same about service. We usually order the porterhouse for two are used to being asked how we like the cut of the meat cooked and always enjoy getting to pick out a special knife to cut our steaks with, but unfortunately that did not happen tonight. We also had our salads come out the same time as our appetizers and before we could finish our appetizers/salads our main course was presented on the table with our other courses not cleared, leaving our table crowded. We came here last year for my birthday and got a complimentary cheesecake, and was hoping that the same thing happened for anniversaries but ordered a cheesecake anyway, that was still as delicious.

The eatery is known for its Hickory Smoked Chicken Wings and Buffalo-style Pig Ears, but also features an array of dishes showcasing produce from nearby farms and fresh catches from local fishmongers.
After a dud of a seafood meal the previous night, we were looking for a redemption meal. We found it at Rx Chicken & Oysters! The food is sustainable, locally sourced, and outstanding! Many places tout the “sea to table,” but few actually give you food that truly tastes like It. Rx wrote the book on it! We had the spiny lobster tail hush puppies, skillet corn bread, grouper with spiny lobster tail rice and heirloom tomato reduction, grunt with grits, seasonal vegetables and citrus and herb butter, brownie with soft serve, and blueberry cobbler. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly! The fish had amazing flavor and the crust was just right. The tomato reduction had incredible flavor! The grits were delicious - a tasty nod to southern culture and paired with the fish nicely. Start to finish, the food was amazing and well worth the drive! If you’re looking for truly fresh, local seafood, visit Rx!

Small restaurant on Castle Street. Street parking only here. Met a friend group here, and the restaurant is neat, lots of artwork on the walls. The service was excellent and the staff was really nice. We had three items off the menu. The biscuits, pimento cheese, and ham "snack" was excellent. The pork chops with sweet potatoes was good but the mac & cheese was... odd. Had a very odd flavor, maybe earthy? Idk if they put like truffle or something in it... very strange. We had the strawberry cobbler and while it was ok, it also wasn't great. So for the cost, we didn't find the food to be bad by any means, but it wasn't exceptional either. Overall, the restaurant was clean and we enjoyed the meal and we would probably try it again at some point.

Hiddem gem in Wilmington! As a pharmacist, I was initially intrigued since this restaurant used to be a pharmacy (although the decor & inside is not pharmacy themed) but we decided to try it based on the food options. Our waitress was friendly & knowledgeable. We aren't big seafood eaters so she took the time to explain the catch-of-the-day options. We had never heard of lionfish (see pictures for a sculpture of this spiky fish) but my husband decided to try it. And it ended up being his favorite meal of the whole trip! It's a little pricey, but you can taste the quality & freshness of the food. Everything was delicious & well-prepared. Highly recommend trying a dessert served with their soft-serve ice cream. Just a few blocks from downtown, its hidden on a residential street but definitely worth a visit

Hidden gem. We went for Sunday brunch and had a very tasty Bloody Mary and their shrimp and spiny lobster quiche (with Hollandaise sauce). That dish ranks as one of the few best meals we've ever eaten in Wilmington. First time to Rx but glad we found it because it won't be our last. Love the extra space between the tables making it a nice pace for a date. Service was top notch (thx Ellie). And very reasonable cost.

We were on vacation and decided to try this restaurant because our adult son was craving raw oysters. The atmosphere is cool/eclectic and welcoming. If I had 1 complaint it was that it was very loud in there. We were there on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed so I didn't mind at all but if you are going for a quiet dinner, maybe go on a weeknight😁 We had a reservation so we were seated immediately. Our server came to our table promptly to take our drink orders. I ordered the cocktail that was a special that night and it was blueberry simple syrup with elderflower liqueur and proseco. It was delicious and refreshing without being overly strong or sweet. For appetizers we got blue crab dip for my husband and I to share and our adult son got the Lucy Bea oysters. He said they were the best oysters he has ever had, very fresh and clean tasting with the flavor of the sea. They were fantastic. Our dinners were super good with my husband getting the shrimp and grits which was rich and decadent. I got the 1/2 fried chicken which was so crunchy and dark with flavor but moist and juicy on the inside. My sides were mac&cheese and small delicious flaky buttery biscuits. Our son got the chili cheeseburger. All of the food was delicious. I'm sure the fresh caught fish is great but we are not big seafood eaters. Our desserts were fabulous too. My husband and I split the bread pudding which had large crusty/crispy bread chunks which were tender on the inside and had a caramel and whipped cream😋 Our son got the blueberry cobbler with soft serve ice cream. They were both so amazing! I would never hesitate to come and enjoy the food again the next time we are in Wilmington!

Visited here on Aug 23rd 2025 for my birthday. Single joined at the Bar area. Fish was amazing. I tried the fresh catch swordfish! This place really know how to cook a perfect fish! Like it as the top fish cooking place in USA! Also the soft dessert as good as fish too.

We wanted to try something new for a date night spot and so lucky we landed on this place. Our waiter was so amazing and educated us on the meals. The BEST Oysters and Crab Cakes I have ever had. Will be coming back many many times!

This restaurant definitely lived up to our expectations. It was the best meal we had while on vacation in the area. It has an upscale vibe with really friendly service. They know what they're talking about and are attentive. We ordered most of the appetizers on the menu. The mini biscuits were the best. My husband also loved the pig ears and belly. I've had better oysters and shrimp, but the signature hot sauce was a nice touch. We got a bottle to take with us. We enjoyed the chicken, shrimp and grits, and fresh catch (snapper). Overall, this restaurant offered great food and a really good experience. We recommend!

Stopped in for some hot wings and wasn't disappointed! Got the hot and buffalo garlic flavor. Wings were great size and good amount of crisp. Service was quick and waitress was friendly. Overall great place if you want some comfort food with a kick!

Such a cool restaurant to go to for a quick bite to eat in the evening. Decided to spontaneously walk in here after our evening activity and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people in the restaurant and how welcoming the atmosphere was. Waitress was amazing and answered all questions me and my friends had regarding food. People at different tables and even the servers were all singing to the music playing in the restaurant which made it so much more fun to hang out in. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys those late evening dinners in great bars with great people. The devil made me do it burger was delicious and I normally do not care for fries but I loved theirs. Large portions and its definitely worth the price.

Great bar some fine choices in the menu, but not so broad as to be ridiculous. So many places simply try to cater to everyone instead of focusing on offering well prepared tasty options. Enjoyed the experience. Very nice bartender.
Steve C — Google review
Great little place to eat and grab some brews! Food is great, wait staff is great for the most part. We went in at 11:30 during the weekday for an early lunch and it took forever to get our food. There’s maybe 4 tables including us in the restaurant. Kitchen is slow every time we go. Wait staff could be more attentive on slower shifts as it took 25 mins to get my servers attention for the check and to-go boxes…. But any other time we’ve visited, it’s been ok. Just again, the kitchen seems to be slow all the time. Food is great tho, so we don’t complain too much!
Zoe M — Google review
I was excited to try this as it came recommended. However the couple next to me mentioned that their burger was raw, and shortly there after my burger came out a beyond what I was comfortable with for ground meat. I asked for the manager and Aliya removed the cost of the burger for me and offered to cook a new one. Unfortunately, in my experience this is a sign of deeper issues so I paid for the side and drink then left. I don't need or want a response to this review from the business. This experience stands on its own and there won't be another opportunity to correct this. Safe cooking isn't tricky, get it right or quit.

We got here on the perfect day to get their classic burger on a deal. Our waitress was super cool. All of their food was REALLY good. I highly recommend this place.

Seat yourself vibe . We had three adults and one child with us. Server came right over with menus and asked to take our drink orders. She was incredibly pleasant and answered any questions we had. She was always checking in on us and refilled my water three times for me. We ended up deciding on just ordering a bunch of apps. It was a great idea and more than enough to feed us all. Food was really good and we will absolutely be back .All in all a great experience no hassle or pressure at all.

Addison (Addie C) was our server, she was super nice and prompt. Very cool atmosphere. The food was delicious. My husband had the Turkey club, I had the fish and chips, while our kids had the chicken wrap and burger. Food came out quickly. Restrooms were well maintained. Paid street parking and lot. Would definitely go back!

Great beer selection. They do flights and half pours. Large bar. Friendly staff. Outdoor seating. Liked every beer I tried. If you like beer this is a must when visiting Wilmington.

Wide and unique range of styles with a good majority of taps changing seasonally or for special releases. There is something for everyone (cider and wine offered as well). I also think it's really cool that they often use fresh/local adjuncts in their brews. Very comfortable environment whether you're inside or out. Great staff; always had friendly, helpful and welcoming service. Excellent vibe all around.

A wonderful local brewery located near the Brooklyn Arts district in historic downtown Wilmington. They have a wide variety of excellent fresh beers and they also serve wine. They have local artists who perform from time to time and they also have food trucks that show up to provide cuisine to accompany your beer and wine. The employees here are very friendly and helpful.

Flytrap is a great spot! We stopped through on our way to Oak Island and we needed a place with an outdoor space for our dogs and baby to move around. The beer was really good and the beer garden was lovely. Definitely dog and baby friendly. I also left my glasses in the bathroom when I was changing out of my travel clothes and Karissa went through the trouble of mailing them back to us in Baltimore! I could not be more grateful. It will absolutely become an annual pit stop for us during our trips to NC! Thanks, Flytrap!

My windows and I stumbled upon this place after a great dinner at Pinpoint. Loved the outside seating area and live music in the corner. The beer was great and it was a treat to be able to find a saison on tap, my personal favorite style. My wife also appreciated that they had a carefully selected natural wine list as well. Great experience and I left with a case of beer too✌️

Restaurant
Rooster & The Crow is an easygoing restaurant and bar housed in an industrial brick building, offering hearty Southern staples. Their standout dish is the fried chicken, known for its huge portions, while their mashed potatoes are also highly praised. Other popular menu items include Loaded Cheese Fries, Cheesy Grits, Shrimp or Catfish Poorboys, Fried Green Tomato BLT, Fried Cabbage, and their burger.
So happy my son picked the Rooster & The crow for Mother’s Day Brunch! The host who seated us was was very friendly it definitely starts at the front door and sometimes can make her break a meal for sure! Millie was our server and she was just the best. Great service knowledgeable, so friendly patient and kind. Thank you Millie ! I think I had one of the best cocktails in a very long time. I believe it was called the tequila Daisy. I have eaten here for dinner a few times, but never for brunch. Definitely a winner. Will be back for sure. One of my favorites in downtown Wilmington!!

On vacation and decided to stop here for lunch and we really liked it. We were seated in The Nest area, so cute and cozy in there. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. My son had the brisket mac & cheese and I can honestly say that was delicious and with the price. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my daughter had a fried chicken sandwich. They were good but honestly nothing special and not worth the price. The fries were really good, cooked perfectly and seasoned really well.

The place is cozy, and the ambiance makes it look spectacular. The first time I went there, the service was nice, I ordered to go since the apartment was right across the street, as it was a business trip. I ordered the Crow's Call with the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, and it was good. So I went the next day because I liked the place and I wouldn't have to walk around guessing for another place to eat. By the way, the girl who served me was very nice and attentive (I didn't ask her name, but the receipt said Abi) she recognized me and even remembered my name 👍🏼. This time, I ordered the loaded nachos and asked to add chicken, also to go. To my surprise, they didn't serve me the chicken, so unfortunately, I was left with half of the experience. Still, I think it's a good place to dine.

What a great surprise! Our original dinner spot was closed, so we ended up at the Rooster and Crow—and I’m so glad we did. The service was excellent, and the food was even better. The fried chicken was hands down the best I’ve ever had, with collards and grits that were spot-on. My husband had the fried chicken with collards and potato salad, and his plate was just as good. Fantastic experience—we’ll definitely be back, and I’m already recommending it to friends!

It was a quick stop in Wilmington NC and a very pleasant surprise to eat here. Because I'm outta town we ask for suggestions, I have the willy grilled chicken sandwich, full of taste and really well put together, it's for sure my returning call. My daughter had the grilled chicken with Caesar salad, just perfect, full of flavor and the dressing was delicious... Two really great options.

This was an awesome find. Set in a large old warehouse right on the river. There were small shops, a pub, an arcade, and the restaurant all located in the building. We started with chicken wings which I am always skeptical to order in the south as we are from western NY. They did a great job! They were crispy, had a great vinegar hot sauce flavor, and they served blue cheese not ranch. The rest of the food was equally delicious. They crushed it with the fried chicken. I would eat here 2-3 times a week if I lived near by. Great experience, the staff was very attentive and super kind. Overall 5 star experience!

The food is top notch! I really enjoyed the pancake, it is definitely worth taking the drive and the drinks was tasteeee.....I love the riverwalk and the cozy vibe of downtown Wilmington 😋😋

Heard by previous reviews the fried chicken is a must so I ordered the hot fried chicken sandwich. Had good flavor / spice, but I have to say was dry and chewy. But the side of fried cabbage with bacon was delightful and gator bites tasty. Cocktail was tasty. Friendly & attentive service was very refreshing. Would try again, the Catfish next time!

Fish Bites Seafood Restaurant is a casual dining spot with a lounge area connected to a retail fish market featuring a live lobster tank. Visitors rave about the fried shrimp, which is described as fresh and perfectly cooked with a light batter and optional seasoning. The restaurant offers other enticing menu items, creating an overall great taste and value experience.
This is hands-down the best seafood restaurant I’ve ever been to. Every visit has been flawless—there’s truly nothing negative I could say. The service is consistently friendly, prompt, and spot-on, with a staff that adapts effortlessly to each guest’s needs. Whether you’re in a rush, looking to savor every moment, or just grabbing carryout, they’ve got you covered. The teamwork here is unmatched. From the kitchen crew to the servers, bartenders, hosts, and management, everyone works seamlessly together, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie you can feel. Add to that the loyal crowd of regulars who pack the place, and you know this spot is something special. If you’re local, you already know. If you’re visiting, make sure this is at the top of your list every time you’re in town. It’s a must-visit! Some of the recent specials I’ve had. Also, do not leave without getting a piece of the best cake you’ll ever have.

Excellent choice tonight!!! Some of the very best seafood we’ve had along the Outerbanks coastline. The outside of the building is deceiving from the quality food inside. My family had flounder and shrimp baskets and a baked fish with scallops & garlic Parmesan crust. Food presentation is +++ The cost for the quality and amount is great. The indoor space is somewhat small & larger groups would have a difficult time to fit inside. You would want your call ahead for seating in larger groups. Outdoor seating area available Parking & easy access inside. Restrooms were very clean as well as tables, menus & floors. Desserts are from a local bakery & wonderful. They are $9 for 1 LARGE slice of cake that is perfect to share. This is a hidden jewel!!!

Shame on me for living here for years and only now discovering this place. Red Lobster this ain’t, so don’t come around thinking you’re going to get a chain restaurant experience. What you *will* get is the freshest, most expertly prepared seafood you’ve ever had. The mussels here, in my experience, were only surpassed by one other restaurant I’ve visited on the east coast (Virginia—see earlier review). Peerless peel-and-eat shrimp. Best I’ve ever had, even here along the coast where most of it is local. And the fish and chips from the “small” plate menu is the most authentic and delicious preparation this side of the Atlantic. Next time I’ll try the oysters, other shellfish, and *local* tuna and swordfish. I do not expect to be disappointed. It’s a small place, so you may have to wait, but it’s worth it. I’m going back, and I’ll update this review.

Ella was our server and she was an 11 bubbly and funny ..the other young ladies were also great staff. We were at one of the front tables and they all made our evening enjoyable. We ordered the three item platter and it was a great portion of food but unfortunately the kitchen cook went overboard with the old bay! One of the other servers offered to rectify the issue but we were starving. We will come back the next time we are down we may just say easy on the old bay. The coconut cream cake was awesome.

After visiting a couple disappointing restaurants in the area, Fish Bites was quite literally the best part of my vacation. That seafood platter was so good I visited a second time before I came back home. If you're in the area you don't wanna miss out of Fish Bites!!! Fantastic food and service! And such big portions. I promise you wont leave hungry. They'll definitely be getting a visit from me everytime I'm back in the area.

Dined with friends at Fish Bites, and it was a great choice. We all got the crab cake which was well prepared, not a lot of breading, but plenty crab meat. Desserts were so good! Definitely going back!

We loved the atmosphere and the food was the best one that we’ve tried at Carolina beach! If we didn’t receive this recommendation we would have never found it! The service was great as well! Unfortunately we tried it our last night in town otherwise we wouldn’t have wasted our money in other places! The fisherman stew was amazing
