Cape Fear Botanical Garden, spanning 77 acres of stunning land with views of Cross Creek River and Cape Fear River, is home to over 2,000 plant varieties. The garden features themed gardens and educational exhibits like the water-wise gardening display. Visitors can explore a restored farmhouse showcasing period farming tools and live demonstrations on harvesting local crops. The garden also offers a leisurely hiking trail amidst beautiful flora.
Had the most lovely afternoon here. Plenty of places all over to sit and read or work either in the sun or shade, under covers or in the open air, as well as multiple fountains, trees as far as the eye can see, and a quiet and peaceful atmosphere overall. Saw butterflies and lizards, turtles and geese!! Would highly recommend. Tickets were $12 for adults, and they offer a membership as well! Great place for strolling and chatting with a friend, taking the family on an outing, or having personal reset time. Also had an adorable gift shop with lotions, cards, toys, stuffed animals, rocks, dried flowers, house decor, candles, wind chimes, books, and more. 💕

I’ve been here numerous times and I love it during the springtime. This time my husband wasn’t able to attend with us, but the baby loved the trees, flowers, green grass and the cute little family of ducks/geese that we saw today! It’s clean, well kept and beautiful. It’s one of the best places in Fayetteville. It doesn’t even feel like you’re in Fayetteville-it’s peaceful and there’s so many different types of plants, trees, and flowers. 10/10 recommend!
Brandi C — Google review
Very beautiful. I really like that there were very tall trees in a garden, lots of both well maintained and non maintained grounds. The loving pergola is majestic. Wish it had a better maintained surroundings because it's very beautifully made by both plants and people.
Nicolo D — Google review
Very lovely botanical garden! Love that it is all outside and that you can take your time, at your own pace. Loved that they had trails that took you all over the grounds and down near the river. If you love being outside and being one with nature, then I would HIGHLY recommend coming here!! Would definitely be coming back next time I am in the area.
Chrissy S — Google review
We went for the Halloween event and it was beautiful. We got lucky and the weather was absolutely perfect for walking around at night. They had thousands of lights and some really impressive decorations, especially the themed skeletons. Even though it was a little busy there was plenty of room to move through the gardens and enjoy all the extra activities they offered for kids to have a great time. I definitely will go back if they have a Christmas event and next Spring/summer to see the flowers and trees. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Halloween event.
Melinda A — Google review
Cape Fear Botanical Garden was the unexpected enchanted forest detour we didn’t know we needed after a long highway haul. Just minutes off the road and suddenly—you’re strolling through winding paths, towering trees, and fields that seem sprinkled with fairy dust (or maybe it was just all the butterflies fluttering around like tiny tour guides). If you’re looking to stretch your legs without the crowds and chaos, this place is pure magic. It’s quiet, calming, and full of surprises around every leafy corner. Bridges! Blooms! A gazebo that looks like it came from a storybook! Even the bathrooms were pristine—which, let’s be honest, is a rare and glorious find during a road trip with a toddler. So grateful we stopped. If we lived closer, we’d be back every weekend with walking shoes, snacks, and butterfly nets (for admiration only, of course). 🌿🦋

I had the opportunity to plan an event at CFBG. My clients and I worked with Brian Tyler. He was responsive to every need we had throughout the 14 month planning process for our mutual client. I would recommend this location to clients for future events and would be glad to work with Brian as well!

Specialty Museums
The Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation, also known as ASOM, is a captivating museum located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It aims to honor the sacrifice of servicemen in special operations forces and airborne troops. The museum features a wide array of period artifacts, dioramas, and audio-visual exhibits that provide an immersive experience for visitors. Additionally, there is a motion simulator that offers a realistic portrayal of the work of All American Airborne soldiers.
This is a very nice museum showcasing the history of Special Forces and Airborne Divisions! Much had changed since the few years I’d originally visited. Select students from a local high school, contributed to a new exhibit of the “Montagnards” of the Vietnam War. Before leaving I made sure to visit the “Medal of Honor” touchscreen (where I was able to view names of ships dedicated to various recipients). I highly recommend checking this place out!! Go early because they close at 4pm. 👍👍😁🇺🇸
Barnacle B — Google review
This place was exceptional. The gentlemen at the front entryway desk were fun to chat with, and John had some great insight into what's in the museum. The pathway to go around the exhibits was great. I suggest giving it a try. Just a side note on your information kiosk is missing a bronze star information on recipients.
Debra D — Google review
great place, no charge, great immersive exhibits. i drove to this on my way home from SC to PA. worth the visit. Super-61's rotor head now rests here. RIP to those men lost that day

Another of the large museums. Be aware, there are two (special operations) museums one on the base property and one in downtown Fayetteville. Be aware of this sleek programming your GPS. This review is the down town location. Very nice atrium with both a WW2 and a modern paratrooper decending from the overhead. The displays are large and well separated. Since airborne didn't use much armor or other mechanized transport there is a definite lack of such in the museum but it's 100% understandable. The gift shop seemed a bit small and the selection limited. I only found one fridge magnet 🧲 luckily it's one I would have selected anyway. I still rated it a full five stars due to the wonderful use of full size dioramas.

Why did I wait 35 years to visit? It's a great place for families, very informative, well organized and extremely affordable, FREE! ♥️ (Donations are accepted.)
Margaret M — Google review
Impressive place, great museum. Really worth visitng. The museum presents hstory of the Airborne troops since its beginning until present times. Very interesting exhibition, including authentic, historical items. It will take some time to visit the museum. It's huge (looks smaller from the outside).
Michal — Google review
I have visited the Airborne & Special Operations Museum many times over the years and it never disappoints. They always maintain the displays in this museum so well and clean. Even though the museum is free of charge, they do have 2 donation bins, so please make sure you donate if you're able too... So if you ever find yourself in Fayetteville, North Carolina and you're looking for something to do. Pay a visit to the Airborne & Special Operations Museum to make memories, meanwhile learning of the sacrifices our soldiers have endured and their achievements. At this beautiful museum full of Airborne & Special Operations military history. Thanks to the Staff and Museum employees, that do such an amazing job maintaining such a great museum.

A very quiet and peaceful park next to the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville. Many monuments that are dedicated to all the branches of the armed forces as well as monuments dedicated to North Carolina veterans.

Me and my wife had an awesome time here. It is great to always honor those who gave up their lives for ours. This place is so magnificient that I would recommend anyone to go. The whole museum has been restored and it's brand new. Definitely planning on going back.

Take a break from your busy day or long travels and visit here. A lot of insight and background. Great for short walk to view dedication and courage. Don't skip both sides of parking lot. Parking is in the middle There's a small area across the street but didn't visit that area this time. Some water fountains were down due to Covid. We arrived after 4- when the shop closes. See pics

The memorials under construction but still rather impressive for the artwork. Visitor Center was closed despite the sign saying otherwise but you were able to see the fallen soldier table in the corner and able to get some good pictures if you tried hard enough

The 1897 Poe House, named after its construction year and owned by local businessman E.A. Poe, offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of one of Fayetteville's most affluent families in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This well-preserved home was once inhabited by E.A. Poe, his wife Josephine, and their eight children.
Wonderful visit at the Poe House!!! Stephanie gave a terrific tour of the home and pointed out wonderful details. There is a lot of original furniture, art, and design from the Poe family. We were able to go throughout the house and into the yard. The wood designs throughout the home and the lighting was fantastic! Very pretty and well preserved.
Lauren — Google review
This was an awesome experience. Touring this house is free. We had such a fun and interesting time. Ruth was our tour guide and she was awesome and very engaging. She made it very interesting with lots of stories about the family. The house was restored well and includes lots of furniture and memorabilia from the Poe family. Yours are at 1pm, 2 and 3. You meet in the nearby Cape Fear Museum to meet your tour guide. There is parking available there.
April W — Google review
I've heard of the Poe house but never stepped foot inside. I can't believe what I've been missing this whole time! It was a wonderful experience and felt like going back in time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable in the history of the family. They do tours on every hour and it's free and lasted about an hour.
Carmen P — Google review
Our tour guide Jennifer was fantastic. This home has beautiful wood work throughout every room. Take your time to look at the paintings and photographs to glimpse the turn of a century. We will definitely be back with friends for the October reenactment performances.
Allie G — Google review
Stephanie was a great guide! Very informative. Enjoyed the architecture of the home and the details inside with renovations. Easily takes you back to the time period of the Poe family. Enjoyed the free guided tour which lasted roughly 45 minutes.
Tina L — Google review
Great experience. It's not connected to the author Poe. This one is a local man with a great story.

Cape Fear Regional Theatre is a venue that hosts both traditional and modern theater productions in a multi-story building. The main stage has seating for 309 people and the facility is known for its welcoming atmosphere. The staff, including those at the ticket box, ushers, actors, stewards and stage hands are all praised for their hospitality. The auditorium boasts excellent acoustics with ample leg space between rows.
Steel Magnolias was yet another AMAZING production at CFRT. So impactful and perfectly cast. What really made the show for me were the WIGS!! The live rollers, attention to detail for styling, OUISER’S WIG!! Josh did an incredible job styling for each character. I am beyond impressed.
Alexandra D — Google review
The Musical 9 to 5 is a must see! Fantastic show! The actress who played Dolly Parton she looked and sounded just like her. All the ushers and staff were very polite. The actors and actress’s were incredible. I could understand every word they spoke. This the first time I have seen a play at the Holiday Inn hotel. The only thing that I would say could improve is the air conditioning. It was a bit warm where I was sitting. Several of us were using book (fanning) to cool us down. Hope the actors and actresses weren’t affected by the A/C. The prices have gone up , but worth every penny. Thinking of buying the flex pass.
Jocelyn T — Google review
Awesome place that Fayetteville is so blessed to have, for many years now! Hasn't lost a step over the years either! Just EXCELLENCE! Kudos Mary Kate & team!
Greg A — Google review
Just saw this production tonight & it was truly an unexpectedly amazing experience. Honestly better than any Off-Broadway production I’ve ever seen. Even better than some actual Broadway shows. From staging, costumes, set, lights, sound, acting & singing? They didn’t miss a beat. The ushers & concession were friendly & welcoming. I might come back to see it again. Alexis Tidwell & Joshua Walker?? The entire cast was perfect.
Billy M — Google review
The show was outstanding. There was never a dull moment. We really enjoyed it. My wife was joined by her Delta sigma theta Group

Couldn’t be prouder of our incredible theater. Thankful to have grown up attending shows and to be able to bring my kids here to share in the wonder. Have never been disappointed in the level of talent, the quality of the production or the passion for the arts that everyone involved has. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful place.
Lacy D — Google review
Myself and my friend went to see Little Shop Of Horrors and it was amazing!!!!! The cast was amazing! I could not stop smiling, the acting and singing was great! Seymour was my favorite.

Show was great, as was staging, lighting. Have seen Littke Shop many times, from high school productions, regional theater, Broadway with Jonathan Groff. This was a great show. Actors were so very talented

Segra Stadium, located in downtown Fayetteville, is the home of the minor league baseball team, the Fayetteville Woodpeckers. The stadium can accommodate around 5,290 guests for baseball games and various special events throughout the year. It features a Kids Zone for young children and dining options like RF Grill and Bleacher Bar.
I went here as a vendor for an event, and it was a fantastic experience! The stadium is beautiful and well maintained. The food was really good, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My business, Hannah's Rock and Gem, did GREAT while we were there, and I was able to network with tons of new people who will be coming to my shop! There's wheelchair accessibility throughout the entire stadium. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. The place is really just beautiful! A great addition to the Fayetteville area.
Hannah R — Google review
Very nice baseball park. It is nestled in a college. Parking is on campus business. Easy to get to, nice people at the gate who were very helpful. The merchandise was very well set up. Little expensive but isn’t everything now. They had beer, seltzer, regular drinks and ice cream. The food was respectfully priced. Nice organized field. Players were quite young. I don’t think any of them were older than 22. Crazy! Sit right beside a railroad track, so we heard a train a few times.
Dawn C — Google review
What an amazing hometown experience! Pro; - super cheap tickets for the exact same MLB feeling - great baseball - amazing stadium (all seats are great) - great drink and food options - kids play ground (free, just fill online waiver on the spot) - clean bathrooms - Not overcrowded Con: ‐ parking (not bad but depending on the game and time can get hard to find a spot) Overall cheap and fun night and when kid got bored just take him to the kid park!
Brian A — Google review
I came to a game with my service dog- I was extremely impressed with how well trained the staff was. They asked questions to confirm my service dog was legitimate, which is within their legal right. But they were very professional when asking and immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome after answering. Always thankful for places that educate their employees on service dogs to make the world more accessible for us.
Lex — Google review
My husband and my son went to the diamond club baseball camp with Bernie Carbo! I had visited and it was a beautiful stadium and small town feel of restaurants and shops
Cartie B — Google review
I enjoy going to Segra Stadium to watch the Woodpeckers play! Sometimes they have themed events like the Barbie game on May 4.
Amy B — Google review
Overpriced, understaffed. Campy experiences. Used to be charming. Now just feels cheap.
Jeremy F — Google review
Loved it! Travelled from Liverpool England. Went on a Saturday to see the Woodpeckers go 2-0 up against the River Dogs. Got a Jake Meyers bobblehead figure for being one of the first 1000 through the gates. Was that good had to take the kids on the Sunday and all got to see the 3-0 whitewash. Great experience for families. Nice people everywhere especially the lady in the ticket office who was amazing and made us feel really welcome.

Beautiful, well maintained trail system. You could probably get 1-2 miles in. Very cool wood boardwalk with overlook of the creek. Two excellent playgrounds. One playground is completely fenced in which makes it safer! It’s also shaded which is perfect for the hot summers. Only downside is the trail runs along a highway so it can be pretty noisy.
Madaline — Google review

This was my second trip to the park and so far, I've found it to be clean and well-maintained. The walkways are free of pet waste, though there is some garbage to be found in the weekend areas. For the most part, it's quiet and people are very respectful. I haven't encountered a single dog off-leash, which is nice. The scenery is beautiful, but definitely watch out for that poison ivy!

The trail is beautiful. I walked the entire trail from the beginning to the end, and it was a long trail with many bridges crossing the Cape Fear River. If you're ever in Fayetteville, North Carolina, this is 1 of the best parks to do hike on with a lot of history shown and a nature center a quarter of mile into the trail.

It also offers unpaved trails for exploration and a playground for kids to enjoy. As part of the Cape Fear River trail, it provides a peaceful escape right in the heart of the city.
If we could give this place 10 stars we would. First time here today with my kiddos who are almost 8, and 9. We walked a few of the trials and wondered for a bit. We just moved from Colorado where we have been forever … the water along the trails and just the forest feeling was so amazing! We did go into the nature center, my kids now want to go back every day! The staff inside there was so friendly. There are quite a few turtles, different bugs, a snake, a salamander and some super cool stuff to look at. My kids do love dinosaurs and insects, things like that. I thought it was pretty cool, and we will absolutely be back on likely, a weekly basis! They also do feedings at 4pm on Wednesdays every week I guess! My kids are wanting to go to that asap!

Beautiful. Very quiet place. Lots of parking. Nice walking trails and biking trails as well. Come and enjoy some time together just for a simple walk. No rush. No hassle. No bustle. Just plain simple and nice. Relax.

It’s a lovely park here in Fayetteville. There’s a cute waterfall, which is best viewed after a good rain. Based on some research I’m done, it’s supposedly the tallest waterfall this side of the Piedmont. The trails are very nice and well maintained. It can get very busy on weekends.

Nestled in the heart of Fayetteville, the Cameo Art House Theatre is a charming gem that beautifully marries history with modern cinema. 10/10 experience you'll definitely enjoy it and have quite a few laughs. Great cocktails and amazing staff. The Edgar Allan Poe speakeasy was fantastic.

A most excellent venue for a movie and show going experience. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are great "Fourth Friday" events that show classic films for any season. My family and I are happy to support The Cameo!

The show was a fun event with comically dramatic presentations of some of Poe's works paired with chillingly tasty cocktails. Mocktails were also available for those not wanting alcohol.

Tonight’s Edgar Allan Poe! He is my favorite writer and OMFG! Please know, these actors and not just actors, 5 people put this production into effect! These guys did the most Amazing job! Do not tell them, I would have paid double!
Robert L — Google review
SOO much fun! Went to the Edgar Allan Poe speakeasy event!! I can't say enough about it. Super entertaining & friendly cast and crew. The drinks? Delicious!!!! I need the recipe for "The Cat's Meow" STAT haha. Poe lovers will be delighted. The creative liberties taken were flawlessly done so that none of the source material was neglected, only improved in a modern way such that the stories held even more resonance. I walked away appreciating even more how much of an agonizing, passionate artist Poe was & how much his sense of the gothic and macabre holds up as beautiful & haunting. Fantastic acting that conveyed his torture & love. I'm so hype for their other shows coming out. If you get the chance fellow lit lovers, this was so fun. Only complaint is that I would've enjoyed it being doubly as long!

I love this little family owned theater 🎥! Beautiful renovation work and look forward to our next show.

Cameo is the best part about Fayetteville tbh. Very grateful that they are willing to show the “smaller”, indie films that the larger chain theaters in the city aren’t able to offer. Love that they also provide opportunities to see older classics on the big screen and host other artsy events. The historical building on Hay Street is simply a precious gem. So cute! 🥺

The Museum of the Cape Fear is an impeccably maintained historical facility that includes a restored Victorian home, park, and former Confederate arsenal. Visitors can learn about the lifestyles of past generations through Ruth's informative tours. The museum has a charming store with reasonably priced souvenirs for purchase. It features fascinating history pieces and antiques, including the Poe family's history as described by knowledgeable tour guides during free admission hours (donations are appreciated).
Very pleasant history museum. Nice, quiet, interesting to browse through exhibitions. Friendly staff, free entrance and parking lot. Very close to a much bigger special operations military museum, so I would recommend to visit both. This way you get very different experiences.

Great place on the heart of Fayetteville. Steeped in time gone by antiques the Poe House is nothing short of a trip back in time. My grandchildren loved it and the museum. Do get there and see the best of what this city has to offer first hand!

We had a great time at the museum! There is a parking lot available. Right now there is a display of drawings rendered from very small pictures of black members of a regiment and a researched history of each. It was very interesting to read and is there thru July. There is also a display about the native Americans. There is a really cool canoe. Next door is the Poe House which is really fun to tour as well.

ZipQuest - Waterfall & Treetop Adventure in Fayetteville, North Carolina is a renowned zipline tour and outdoor adventure that has been recognized as one of the top ziplines in the USA. Visitors can experience the thrill of soaring over the treetops and enjoying stunning views of Carvers Falls. The facility features a massive waterfall, play areas, and is suitable for large groups.
Lauren & Roman were the best guides we’ve ever had. Loved their good humor & interaction with our group. This was my favorite experience with this type of adventure. I enjoyed it easy more than the ones I’ve done in WV & SC. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We did the Waterfall Expedition, and it was amazing! My husband and I had never been ziplining before. Lauren and Roman were funny, patient, and made us feel safe. The fall views were so beautiful, we’re already planning to come back for the Night Quest. Highly recommend! You’ll wish you could stay up there longer!
Meagon M — Google review
We went here for a little Sunday funday and we had a blast! The place was nice and empty--we got our own tour. The tour guides had lots of cheesy tree jokes and will not hesitate to call you by the nicknames you give each other. Such a fun experience and we will definitely be back!
Darby R — Google review
10/10 recommend. The staff was very informative and took their time to make sure that everyone understood how to be safe yet also have fun. We had Jasmine and Roman as our guide yesterday and I can’t say enough good things about them, excellent job. We were lucky enough to be slotted in a time frame where it was just me and Noodle 😂 however instead of moving things along quickly the guides took their time and let us enjoy the scenery! Again, thanks to the ZipQuest team and highly recommend! -Mug

Spent the afternoon with my girlfriend here and we absolutely loved it. It was even better that we were the only 2 on the tour. Our guides were amazing and made it very entertaining throughout our experience. We will most definitely be coming back in the fall to see nature change colors while enjoying the zips.
Michael B — Google review
I have a fear of heights, so signing up for the zip line for the first time was pretty hard to do. But because of our incredible tour guides Roman and Greg, I was able to completely enjoy the experience despite my fear! Not only did they make sure we felt safe in the gear, they continuously ensured we felt comfortable. Through out the course they were so knowledgeable in explaining the history of the area. Also I feel they could sense when we started getting nervous, because that’s when the “dad jokes” started, which had us distracted from the heights and laughing! Iam so thankful we had guides like these two to make it an incredible experience!!
Cassie M — Google review
As a first timer, this was a very positive experience! Candidly speaking, I chose it because it was an hour away from my house and the draw of the Waterfall Expedition. Due to a large group coming in, I was contacted several days before asking if it was okay if we started at 11:30AM, which was alright with my group. Our initial group was 7 people (2 people left in the middle of the course) which felt right when we were gathered on the platforms between ziplines. Our equipment (from my what experienced friends told me) was both lightweight and durable. From the very beginning, our guides Roman and Ella made us feel comfortable from the trial zipline to the very end; their clear explanations removed any mystery so that by the time I was ready to zip, there were no surprises. Safety was constantly a priority. Whereas I started out thinking, "Just this ONE time," I changed my tune by the time we got to the end of the course.
Judy V — Google review
This was so fun. We did the treetop and waterfall experience and it was awesome. Staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and super funny. Our guides were cracking jokes and telling us fun facts the whole time while also ensuring our safety and comfortability with everything. I have a fear of heights and the tour guides were so nice and made my time very special. I definitely recommend coming here for a few hours to see fun things and go zip-lining. My husband and I had a great time. Thanks ZipQuest for the memories! We will be back for a nighttime tour soon!

Visitors can enjoy walking trails around the lake and throughout the park, as well as open grassy areas perfect for picnics. Additionally, Mazarick Park provides sports fields, game areas, a playground for children, and paved trails suitable for running or biking.
The park is well maintained and has plenty of shade, making it a great place to spend a hot summer day. The disc golf course is seen challenging and the playgrounds are well equipped for children of all ages. The fishing pier is a great place to catch bass, catfish, and bream. The park is also a popular spot for dog walkers and joggers. There are several walking trails that wind through the park, providing stunning views of the lake. Overall, Mazarick Park is a great place to spend a day outdoors. It is a family-friendly park with something to offer everyone. In addition, the park offers a variety of amenities, including: softball field, a tennis court, and a picnic shelter

Beautiful park by the water edge, but other parts look abandoned. The only walking trail is not marked and it is not on a loop. Do not advise women to walk the trail alone. There is a pier from which one can fish.

Big park with a variety of spots. I needed peace and a place to read. I found that near a spot by the lake. I hear the walking tracks are great and I hope to hike them soon. There also are play areas for children and places to fish. Something for everyone.

Beautiful scenery during the different seasons. Nice and easy trail to walk with pet or kids. Bathrooms available but needs to be cleaner.

If you’re looking for fresh air and a quiet spot away from the noise of Fayetteville, this is the perfect place. You don’t have to walk far just park and walk about 100 feet to get here. However, there aren’t many picnic tables and chairs available, so it’s best to bring your own foldable ones.
Monsour’s E — Google review
I went to play disk golf. Super long course. Lots of variations in holes. The short ones are deceivingly harder than the long ones. I have to say, while I truly appreciate the public park systems, they really need to put up a course map! It took a while to find the first hole and we got turned around a few times trying to find the next holes. I went with my sons and grandson, and we had a very good time. If your throwing, look twice. The walking trails are incorporated into and through the golf course. Lots of people walking around. And a few people walking thought they found a disk just laying there and tried to pick it up. So keep watch. While playing, I did notice a few covered areas with grills, a nice looking playground and outbuildings I assume are restrooms. Go play! And play to have fun!
James R — Google review
Playground is great, it's in a really pretty location, nestled among the pines. People at the park were friendly and courteous. The only downside was the lack places to sit while your child plays. There are a few picnic tables but some are pretty far from the playground.

Off the road a bit, has a beautiful baseball field. Portable toilets are available but I do miss when toilets where clean and in all the parks. Feels more like you are in the woods then a park but that is nice as well. Tons of shade with the trees and lots of parking.

We had an amazing time on the walking trails down by the river. We seen all kinds of animal trails and tracks. Lots of boats going up and down the river. Very peaceful and easy to do hike even with two kids. After we walked up to the playgrounds and there was plenty for the kids to do while i sat and rested. While i rested i was able to catch the better part of a baseball game at one of the fields right by the play ground area. We will definitely be going back!

Great family park with a lot of activities to include tails for walking, running, playgrounds, sport fields, open fields, disk gold and many community events. We especially enjoy bringing our doors here with our kids in the morning on the weekends. Near Fayetteville and the surrounding area!
Alfredo R — Google review
This is a pretty great park for walking your dog or just taking a bit of a hike if you prefer your trails to be more natural and less cultivated. There are no signs or sidewalks or anything else. These are trails in the woods. Many split into other trails, a lot deadend at heavy undergrowth. Logs and fallen trees will block your path and you'll find yourself ducking through low branches a lot. Many of the trails can be fairly steep. It's great and a good place to get back to nature. Highly recommended so long as you don't expect curated walkways. You do get the odd bench here and there, though.

Website says first come.come sever for pavilion areas. We found one with an not updated schedule to let us know if it was reserved so we started using it. About 30 min later, another party shown up saying they have paid for the time slot. They were nice enough to share, thankfully since other areas were taken. The number for the area also didn't match the schedule in the box. Other then this, the people and area is nice. Very shaded for nice log walks and play for children.

Luigi's Italian Chophouse and Bar is a well-established Italian restaurant in Fayetteville, known for its cozy ambiance complete with a fireplace and covered patio. Since its founding in 1982 by Greek immigrant Peter Parrous, the restaurant has been serving up authentic Italian dishes using original recipes that have stood the test of time.
The food and service were great. Our waiter was very attentive but not hovering, which is perfect for me. The Pomegranate Mezcal Margarita was definitely the drink to have, and the seafood linguine was delicious. Will definitely return.

Typical Italian restaurant. We came here for Father's day dinner. Service and food is about 3 stars compared to fine dining in Houston area. My bison ordered as medium rare came out medium well. Probably because the cut was thin, hence chewey. Other dishes were fine.
Q P — Google review
We had dinner at Luigi’s Italian Chop House and Bar recently and overall had a pleasant experience. I ordered the NY strip with risotto, and my wife had the porterhouse served over a bed of potatoes. Both dishes were cooked well and tasted good, though nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. The flavors were solid, just not memorable. Service was decent not bad, but not especially warm or attentive either. It felt a bit routine, like she was just going through the motions. That said, the atmosphere was nice and the portions were generous. While it didn’t completely blow us away, Luigi’s delivered a satisfying meal and we'd consider coming back to try something different on the menu.

Had reservations for 7 people so that was helpful not to wait. Food was delicious, staff friendly and nice atmosphere. Had lasagna, pasta purses with 2 meatballs, pork chop with parmesan crust, spaghetti with meat sauce, fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and cheese ravioli. The bread they bring out to the table was really good. Had an appetizer of Italian sausage with peppers & onions and a tomato type sauce. Really good. All the food was good, pork chop was tender and juicy, garlic mashed potatoes were great, pasta purses were as good as advertised but the standout was the creamy Alfredo sauce. One of the best I've tried. They should do a sample entree with a little serving of 3 different entrees. Luckily our party had 7 people so we got to sample lots of entrees at once. The staff signed an anniversary card for my in-laws, nice touch.

Luigi’s delivered tenfold, with wonderful ambiance to the stellar food & drinks. The star of the show though was Randi - she was on point from recommendations to her incredible personality!!! We never felt rushed and could enjoy our company yet she never missed a beat being there for whatever was needed. Our server, Liz, is the reason I’m leaving a five-star review. She was not only attentive but also gave spot-on recommendations. Her hospitality is truly top-tier, and I’m so glad we had the chance to be in her section. I’ll definitely be coming back and requesting her again! Now on to the food—absolutely delicious. I had the ribeye, and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I’ve been to Florence, Italy, and have had Tuscan-style steak there, and this meal genuinely transported me back. Just amazing all around. I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone I know, and I’ll definitely be returning myself. Thank you for keeping such a high standard for both food and hospitality.

Fascinate-U Children's Museum offers an enriching and interactive educational experience for children between the ages of 1 and 12. The museum features hands-on exhibits, projects, and events that encourage learning through exploration and fun. Located in Fayetteville, it is currently the only option for a children's museum in the area. Despite its popularity among families, there are never long lines or overcrowding issues.
This was easily the most affordable children’s museum we have ever been to. At first I wasn’t sure if my daughter was going to be entertained for long (it’s fairly small) bus she ended up having a blast and stayed for 3 hours. The toddler room in the back was probably her favorite part, but she also loved the grocery store, the fire poll, playing dress up, and driving the emergency vehicles. Overall the value for this place can’t be beat, and the gift store is incredibly affordable, unlock every other kids centric place. They have a whole shelf of things under $1. So you can get your little one something to remember the trip by without destroying your wallet.

Very nice people. This place is small, and the building is old, but its a great place for children under 10! Some buttons are out of order but everything is interactive and great for imagination!
Anthony G — Google review
A great place for young kids to imagine and play. Lots of themed play areas with great decorations. While some of the buttons were non responsive, my 2 toddlers had a great time.

Fascinate-U Children's Museum is in the heart of downtown Fayetteville. Upon arrival there’s not much parking so I’d suggest going in non peak times. The parking was also paid. $1 per hour, with an off-street max of $5/day. Parking is free on Weekends and City Holidays. Admission: $3.00 Adults $4.00 Children. There’s a place to put your strollers and backpacks and then you can jump right into playing and learning. It’s really good for little kids that are into imagination play and I think it seems it may age out at age 10. They also have a toddler room also for the little ones. We spent about 2 hours here and the kiddos had a blast.
Sharlisa — Google review
If you have ever been to Marbles in Raleigh, this is likebthe lite version of it. Pro: - accessible and close - cheap ( $5 per kid) - loads of different activities Con: - alot of broken missing and missing pieces - needs a deep clean BAD (my allergies were kicking up bad at certain points) - small (only one floor) and everything is on top of each other It is not a bad weekend getaway close to home for toddlers. Would not recommend if your kid is 7 or over. They will get bored quick.
Brian A — Google review
This is such a wonderful place for kids to come and enjoy all sorts of fun activities. We could honestly be busy for hours and my son wouldn't get tired of it. We also enjoy the craft projects offered throughout the month. My son doesn't always sit still for them but it's nice that he can go off and play if he gets fidgety.
Stefanie G — Google review
Not crowded, decent variety of toys. Most of the exhibits had broken parts, sticky paint and dirty surfaces. Not much has changed in the 10 years since I’ve been here. Admission for an adult and child was $7 total, which is a steal. I would prefer that they charged a few extra dollars and did some renovation.

The Market House, located in downtown Fayetteville on Gillespie Street, has a rich history dating back to 1838. Originally serving as a town hall and market, it stands as an iconic symbol of the city's resilience. The structure replaced the Old State House that burned down in 1831 and is now a popular spot for photographers and visitors alike. Formerly overlooked, it has gained attention as a historical landmark with significance to the community.
It is a beautiful piece of architecture with a haunting past. This piece of history should remain where it is to remind us. This building has no pride, so shall we? - We are intelligent beings, so let's use our unmatched capabilities to learn and accept history, good or bad. The Market House no longer stands for such atrocities but as a reminder of what we are capable of and what we should not strive to be.
Alexander L — Google review
Willie lynch would approve of this, I don’t know anybody else who thinks this is a nice piece of history. A disgraceful blow to the black community. The audacity for this to still stand represents the economical standard held till this day by Fayetteville, NC.
Q C — Google review
Considering the painful history this architecture represents, this building shouldn't continue to be in the heart of Fayetteville. Let's build a proper museum and place this building inside. It may seem a bit overboard, but it's painful to see when visiting downtown.

Sweet Tea Shakespeare (STS) is known for providing exceptional and immersive theatrical experiences. Their recent production, titled "Behold," surpassed expectations by offering a unique Christmas performance that incorporated both singing and storytelling. The vocal performances were outstanding, showcasing the talent of the cast members who executed the music flawlessly. The venue itself was also noteworthy, with its stunning aesthetics adding to the overall appeal of the show. Furthermore, credit should be given to the lighting director for their excellent work in enhancing the visual atmosphere.
STS is always an experience, but "Behold" was even better than usual; a non-traditional Christmas performance/cantata, the singing was exquisite, the music well performed, the venue beautiful....high praise should also be given to the lighting director.

Saw "Little Women" -- it was fine. Community theater is a great outlet for theater kids and former theater kids. Otherwise, they might become mimes or seek validation in even more destructive ways. Was it cringey sometimes? Very. But the actors were usually in on the joke. Props to STS for keeping these drama nerds off the streets.

I have been a fan of Sweet Tea Shakepeare since I became aware of it's existence in 2016. Since that time I have attended many shows and each one was a delight. Absolutely loved last night’s show! It was Othellit at Dirtbag Ales Farmers’ Market. The cast were so welcoming, I honestly felt as if I had known them all prior to the show. The pricing of tickets was extremely fair. I will definitely make an effort to see them again.

The Fayetteville Rose Garden, located at Fayetteville Technical Community College, is a serene and intimate garden with over 1,000 stunning rose bushes on display. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant displays and fragrant aromas of the roses for free from April through winter. The garden also features a charming gazebo area, fountains, and various local flowers. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely walk or a peaceful afternoon surrounded by nature.
This is a lovely rise garden, open to the public with many different goregous roses to delight in. It isn't a large place, and there are beaches to sit and enjoy the beauty and fragrance, as well as a fountain and sundial. It was wonderful for a Sunday morning drive in the beginning of June, about an hour from Pinehurst.

Beautiful! The rose garden is beautiful. The roses are well cared for, and the garden is beautifully designed. The roses are beautiful. My husband and I really enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful location, so many vibrant and vivid coloring of roses. A refreshing, captivating rose garden that is truly coning to life! Come smell the flowers!! I am told people often come here for photos of all types. I believe the roses generally bloom late spring to early autumn.

Nice little peaceful garden. The fountain wasn't filled and turned on when we visited. I'm sure that would have been beautiful to behold. It was a very good experience nonetheless. So many beautiful flowers everywhere!

Free to walk around and has benches available to sit and relax amongst nature. Very pretty flowers blooming. On the edge of the campus of the technical college.

Great place for photos and picnics with the family. Free to enjoy. Was quiet, well kept, clean, and easy to park.

Very nice little rose garden! It is fun to see how the names of the rose match the rose. It was interesting to see which varieties did well at this location and which ones didn't.
Dan J — Google review
Cute little rose garden. Stopped by to do a mini photo shoot. Although there's plenty of rose hushes, the white pergolas were no longer there. So, if going by to get some pics note they're not there anymore. Maybe it's temporarily down for repairs. But the fountain was up and running .

This was our 1st time go to a concert here and it was awesome. I am glad they brought some rock music to fayettville. Cant wait for our next concert. There was no drama from what I saw and they had ample amounts of security.

Visited here for Disney on Ice this past weekend. The parking was free which is good. The signage was good. The down fall was that there were clear directions not to bring in bags unless clear or see through and many people were allowed to bring in large bags. The bathrooms were clean. The lines for the bathroom were very long thankfully we had access to the ground level due to our seating. The food choices were not that immense but it was ok. The show itself was good. But the rink was a little small.

Went to the Cross Creek early college graduation on May 20th. Crappy entrance staff/security that will surround you, bombard you with questions, and presume you’re a violent threat to their facility for bringing a professional camera to a GRADUATION CEREMONY. It’s not a weapon, it’s not a firearm. Our society has made it so that people in even slight positions of authority treat everyone like a criminal until they feel like you’re not. They nearly made me miss my brother’s name being called holding me up at security over a camera bag with nothing harmful or deadly in it. There is nothing that says “no bags allowed” at the door. There is a sign that says “no backpacks allowed”, which are two distinctly different things. My bag wasn’t big at all. It is not Madison Square Garden, we’re not in a big city. There’s no constant threat of terrorism, we live in Fayetteville. There is no need to suspect terrorism or malice when someone has a camera. There is surely nothing unusual about a man bringing a camera to a high school graduation ceremony, it’s ridiculous and silly.
Acyus M — Google review
Attended a Marksmen hockey game in the venue. Nice arena, has all the required vendors to enjoy an event. Plentiful parking and easy entry and exits. Drinks are a bit pricey.

Saw Disney on Ice at the Crown. It was an excellent show and the special effects were very good as well. It was easy getting in and out of the parking lot as well as in and out of the theater itself. If you love Disney, you should definitely go see Disney on Ice! You'll be glad you did. Fun for the whole family.

We had a graduation for my nephew. This was supposed to to be an exciting and grand event. As my entire family is walking down the stairs to auditorium doors the security gentleman by the name of Rodney W is yelling at the top of his lungs at adults like we are 10 years old. Screaming to turn around bc of lays in our hand. Then proceeds to scream at many others about purses LET ME SEE your PURSE. I must say this was a very unpleasant experience here in Fayetteville NC and they should be ashamed to allow a grown man to disrespect the graduates families the way he did. Not professional and extremely rude at the least Let’s do better !! It’s a graduation and celebration and this employee has made the experience of myself and others non pleasant !

The crown is well sat up for many events. It is always well ran. I’m wondering who hired this MC for today’s event. Oh good golly. We attended the Champions in Motion event. The man who ran the event is a real entertainer. He tosses out free stuff. He sings songs in between the events. He tells his own jokes. It is nice because trying to get crowd involvement at this type of event can be tough (we were there for the small children). But it sort of turns into the “MC look at me show”. I can say he is positive. The sound system is great because you can not talk to your neighbor.

Nestled within the historic Fort Bragg, the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum is a treasure trove for military history enthusiasts. Established in 1945, this expansive museum spans 6,000 square feet and showcases an impressive array of exhibits that chronicle the storied past of the 82nd Airborne Division since its inception in 1917.
We really enjoyed ourselves! My nephews were visiting from out of state and one of them, especially, *loves* everything Air force (he wants to join one day). We had to take him! They have an amazing display of planes of so many variations, tanks, etc. They also have some beautiful displays and tributes to those who fell during Vietnam and the War on Terrorism.

Airborne all the way Airborne driving on, driving on! Truely a morale assett to the division garrison life....but you rarely see actual active duty paratroopers there. It was National Airborne Day 2025, August 16th and nothing special was underway upon an afternoon arrival. There were two WWII renactors....or waa it three? In an OD canvas tent outside the museum baking in the sun. Great historical museum and artifacts. Keep it open!

We have visited this museum multiple times during our time at Fort Liberty and it’s a favorite place for us to bring family when they come to visit. Very clean place, lots to read and look at inside. A theater to watch a documentary on the subject and a nicely stocked gift shop. There’s also plenty to look at outside the museum.

Really needs more to be added. There are SO many opportunities for Excellent displays that show the 82d trials and tough periods. FOB Airborne, the founding of FOB Shank...So many missed opportunities. There is lots of unused space in the museum- more can be added. The displays are pretty basic, and mostly talk about equipment. Well, isn't it the Dedicated Soldiers who really deserve some recognition?

Very informative and interesting park! It was amazing to read the explanations and see the places in which the Confederate supplies once stood. I could really imagine the layout from seeing the outlines.

It’s good, gave 3 stars in the hopes that they will actually get the little museum building finished and set up. So far it’s just a couple small sites with plaques about the site and that’s it.

Off the path less traveled ~ hidden gem, full of historic information. A ghostly framework forms the outline of an arsenal tower that was destroyed by Union General Sherman in early 1865. Take the narrow footbridge over the MLK freeway and follow the path to the Edgar A. Poe home built in 1897 and restored with the original look and for a tour. On occasions Civil Reenactment festivals. Great place for a picnic. Nearby : historic graveyard with huge angels and crypts a couple of miles down the road through the neighborhoods off Grove Street.

Perfect family outing. Ice cream, farm animals, and little trails through the farm for our toddler to explore. We try to visit once a month to experience their “flavor of the month”. You have to get their waffle cone… it’s the best. The staff are always friendly.

Absolutely adorable area!! Historic farm with refreshing ice cream. A little farther back on the road is the produce stand and strawberry farm - unfortunately at this time of year the strawberries were barely out of season, so we could not pick any. Plenty of other produce for sale there as well. Seems like a great place to bring children.

We have been going here 1-2x a week now for a couple years. We LOVE it!! The best ice cream in Fayetteville NC. The Banana is my favorite and is made fresh every day. They use real bananas and not the artificial garbage. The cookies and cream is also a top flavor of ours. And did I mention the waffle cones!! They are the best I’ve had. We highly recommend you try it out if you’re in the area. Super nice people and very fast service. Tons of outdoor seating available and even an area for kids to play, ride bikes, etc. Hope you try them out! We love it.

Shout out to the amazing security guard that helped me and my family out last night!! This mall has always been well maintained and clean in the inside. Plus! This mall has the BEST FAMILY BATHROOM I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! 2 of my 3 (young) kiddos had to go #2 yesterday. Thinking how I was going to manhandle the situation, then I saw the sign for the family bathroom. Inside were 2 toilets in a single room, an adult sink and a smaller sink for kids, AND it had a really nice seating area, and was well decorated!! I wish every family bathroom was like this! This was exactly what I needed in that moment! We really enjoy coming to this mall whenever we are in town. ❤️

This might be one of the most interesting malls I have ever been to, the experience walking into the food court was interesting to say the least, tons of pan handlers just about guide you all the way into the mall. Once in the mall you will find a decent offering of stores and places to eat in the food court, the mall is relatively clean, however there is a dated slightly dingy feel to the place. Overall I guess it's a good place to get in and get out for a few small things and maybe a quick bite to eat, this probably explains why there was plenty of parking!

Security here sucks. Not only have I had some one try to steal one of my vehicles, and someone else run into one while I was inside, but both times security could not even provide video to the authorities. Then again today I witnessed someone’s parked car get hit and the other one drive off, but when security was contacted to try to get ahold of the driver, they refused to try to reach them on the PA. Paul Blart was a better mall cop than these clowns. Don’t bring anything valuable and park far away from others.

Mash House The Mash House Brewery in Fayetteville, NC is nothing short of excellent. Our server was JJ and she was great. It felt like having a conversation with family. The local brew was good and their house made cider is outstanding. It is a great combination of sweet and tart. The queso was really good considering it is North Carolina and not well known for its Tex-mex. I had the grilled meatloaf. One of the better meat loaf entrees I have had outside my kitchen. The ribs were very “Carolina” in taste. Sweet and tangy and fall off the bone tender. Portions are large and the atmosphere is relaxing. This is a go to for comfort food if you are in Fayetteville. Ask for JJ, she will take good care of you.

What a treat I shared with my Nubian Red Hat sisters, dining at Mash House! A casual eatery with nice lighting. I may add that this recommendation from the Co-Queen was well above my expectations! Food was 10+, Service was 10+, and the Atmosphere was 10+. Our server Janessa was so courteous and very knowledgeable about the fare. All of our dishes were plated so beautifully and were very flavorful. Comments ranged from the serving portions were excellent, appetizers were delicious, the cole slaw was not desirable, the in-house rib sauce was a 50/50 hit, and the desserts were warm and delectable as a warm brownie with chocolate syrup drizzed over vanilla ice cream (yum!) My dish was the seared tuna and lightly smoked asparagus prepared to perfection! Others enjoyed shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, ribs, salmon with shrimp. The appetizer selections were also very well prepared. Thank you for a great dining pleasure. I certainly will be back!!🍽

I stopped in here for a light dinner with a few friends and I was glad I did. I had a Natural Blonde on draft which was perfect and my Asian BBQ wings were tasty. We sat at the high tables in the bar and the service was fast and friendly. My friends had burgers and beer and a seared tuna salad and they were all happy with their food. This was a great choice for a Monday night!

Space was great, food was good, service was not the best. Food came out in good timing but our server seemed scattered. He would leave the table abruptly after hearing out half our party. Beers were good and the rootbeer float amazing. Mashed potatoes had a sweetness to them that I didn't like but steak was cooked well but too fatty for my liking calamari and spinach dip great. Beer Cheese was also tasty with the pretzels.
Courtney A — Google review
Amazing absolutely amazing food. Everything is made from scratch. Thee steaks are hand cut in the back by a butcher to ensure the best piece of meat. The desserts where to die for. They just melted in your mouth. The craft beers where smooth and the wine oh so sweet. Out standing visit. Definitely worth the money and time.
Brandy B — Google review
So so happy we stopped here for dinner. I’ll start with the beer selection, at least for what was offered for the the month of October they have the BEST tasting in house beer collection we’ve run across in a long time. I love ciders and was super bummed they were out of their one cider on the menu but their October fest, kilt smasher and the oatmeal stout were fantastic. In fact their oatmeal stout should really be listed as a coffee stout because the coffee overtones are so smooth and delicious I normally can’t stand oatmeal stouts and this was a fantastic beer. 10/10 to whoever created it. Now on to the food. Tried wings very good meaty and flavorful skin wasn’t crispy really but very decent food wings, I got the pulled pork potato skins which are really good almost to much pulled pork per potato but that’s never a bad thing, and hubby got the sirloin tips w onions, peppers, mushrooms, gravy covered with provolone cheese with a side of mashed potato’s. He loved it said it falls more along the lines of a steak pot pie with the mixture. Finished with an excellent crème brûlée to split and we were stuffed to the gills. This place is huge and busy but our service was excellent and I appreciate a place that has any waiter or waitress available bringing food and drinks as soon as it’s ready while you still have your main waitress checking on you. That’s the most efficient way to run a restaurant to me. Absolutely would come back already planning our spring trip to return.
Carolina G — Google review
The $15 burger, fries & beer combo had me sold. The taste of the beef patty was high quality and the toppings along with the grilled buns were delicious. Fries were super fresh and crispy. Crème brûlée was good, just a little burnt on top. Overall, enjoyed my meal here I’d come back for another.
Dillon — Google review
Staff was nice enough. Food Portion size - normal. Not a lot, not pinchin’. Food was mediocre. Ghost pepper burger was dialed down by overly sticky and sweetened coleslaw that oozed out of the bun with each bite. A wet nap would’ve been helpful… overall, I wouldn’t go back. Bathroom is filthy. I wish I brought my camera in to take pictures of that. And it’s not the kind of dirty that someone was too busy on shift to clean. Like, months of filth on back of bathroom stall doors and floor edges.

We just went to Carter Blueberry Farm today for the first time ever and it was wonderful! It was their last day of the season but there were still lots of blueberries left to pick. We couldn’t help but to taste-test a few as we were picking and the taste was so much better than the ones we would usually buy at the store. They have great prices & they even offer a 10% discount for military members and their families (which we were able to use). On top of that, there was a very kind woman working the register who also gave my son and husband some extra pieces of candy (Airheads) which was the metaphorical “cherry on top” of our fantastic day at the Carter Blueberry Farm! Absolutely recommended 10000%!

Fencing school
Sports school
Located in downtown Fayetteville, the All-American Fencing Academy offers a unique and exciting experience for both beginners and experienced fencers. The academy provides beginner classes every month, welcoming those who have never tried fencing before. As an Olympic fencing institution, it boasts expert instructors who provide top-notch training. Fencing not only offers physical exercise but also the opportunity to make new friends.
Outstanding experience! My kids took the beginner fencing camp (11 and 12). Very well organized and directed. Information was emailed quickly with daily updates. Coaching staff was extremely talented and focused on a fun, safe experience for everyone. My kids already want to go again next year! Don’t miss this amazing fencing school if you are ever in the area!

Excellent school, great teachers superb facilities. Must go if you are in the area and want to fence
Peter C — Google review
My daughter began fencing here over a year ago and absolutely loves it. The coaching staff is incredible and the facility has an extremely neat vibe to it. It's in an old dance/ballet studio that was repurposed for fencing so the old ballet bars are still installed along the walls and serve as fencing mask and jacket racks and the wood floors compliment the overall feel. The academy is definitely less like a hired staff teaching fencing, and more like a family that genuinely provides the best assistance possible to ensure their fencers are among the best of the best. The owner offers a tournament nearly every single month so you're able to test your newly acquired skills against other fencers from the academy and around the state, so whether you're interested in the fitness aspect of the sport or the competitive aspect, there's something for everyone! I HIGHLY recommend this establishment if you're looking for a quality fencing academy.

I started at All-American when I was 13 and knew basically nothing about fencing other than vague differences between foil, epee, and sabre. They taught me everything I know about fencing (thank you Coach Gerhard and Coach John!) and really spent the time to make sure I learned and improved each lesson. They also taught me about the equipment I was using and the maintenance/fixing of it. When I was there, there were typically at least two classes or open fencing times a week you could go to and there were usually coaches around, who you could ask for help or private lessons. The environment there always felt safe and inviting and all the other fencers were pleasant and kind. I loved my time there (I'm sure you will, too) and hope I'll be able to come back some time!

My daughter just did the beginner’s class and enjoyed. I was having fun just watching her. My daughter is on the shy side and the instructor was very good at both teaching and pulling her out of her comfort zone. We’re trying to juggle her schedule to get her in the regular class. Fourth Friday’s, go check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

The Cool Spring Downtown District may seem like it's run by a large team, but in reality, it's managed by a dedicated staff of just five people. Their Ambassadors ensure the streets are clean and visitors receive friendly assistance. The district hosts free holiday events featuring renowned performers and showcases international art displays throughout downtown. Visitors can explore unique shops offering beautiful jewelry and other items while enjoying the area's rich history, lush trees, diverse dining options, and captivating art installations such as the rotating prism exhibit.
Cool Spring Downtown District manages our arts and entertainment district as if they had a staff of 10+ people, when in all reality, they have a staff of 5. Like having clean streets and friendly faces to give you directions downtown? Thank CSDD's Ambassadors. Like having free holiday events that bring in major headliners for Juneteenth, NYE, etc.? Thank CSDD's team. Like having pop-up international and interactive art displays throughout downtown? Again, thank CSDD. Like seeing new boutiques, restaurants, residential buildings, etc., move downtown? Again, CSDD is to thank for much of that progress. As a longtime member of the Fayetteville community BY CHOICE, I am so grateful to have a nonprofit leading downtown in a modern, artistically driven, and communal direction that is inclusive for all. 💙

Steak house

Cocktail bar
Nestled in the heart of Fayetteville, Chris's Steak & Seafood House is a culinary gem that has been delighting diners for over five decades. This upscale chophouse boasts an inviting atmosphere with its classic decor and clubby vibe, making it the perfect spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.
All in all a nice place to grab dinner with friends, family or even by yourself. I called ahead to see how busy it was before heading there and the person who answered the phone was very stern and did not sound friendly. Upon arrival I was greeted by the host who did not come across as all that welcoming or friendly. It may have just been a bad day, but I have frequented Chris's multiple times over the past 20+ years and this person never seems super happy to be there. Once seated, Isabelle greeted me and was friendly, but guarded. She did not introduce herself and was not very talkative (she was very straight to the point/matter of fact). If it was busy, I would have understood not chatting a bit, but she stated they were not very busy. Isabelle did do a really good job overall, ensuring my drinks and food were brought out promptly. Just no small talk. I was disappointed the bar did not have all of the ingredients for the dessert cocktail that I hoped for, but I understand the Grasshopper is more of a northern supper club thing and we are in the South. If I remember correctly, Isabelle said the bar told her they did not stock crème de menthe. Overall, I was happy with my experience. The restaurant has a nice "old school" vibe and the food is always yummy. I will admit I'm not a "traditional" steak fan (I prefer their House Chopped Steak), but the atmosphere plus the cheese and crackers brings me back everytime. Sidenote: I miss the cracker breadsticks vs. the current crackers. It may be the Mandela Effect, but I swear they used to have the assorted cracker breadsticks instead of the current selection of crackers. For the greater Fayettevile area, Chris's is a very nice restaurant with a really good reputation for quality food and service. Compared to the chain places, it has more of a family establishment feel. The prices are not the most affordable, but who goes to a steakhouse for a cheap meal... Chris's is still one of my favorite places to eat in the area. Thank you for another relaxing meal after a long day at work. See you next time. 🙂
Jeff K — Google review
The food, atmosphere, and service were all fantastic—we had a wonderful time. The cheese and crackers appetizer threw me off a bit; I was anticipating bread while we waited to order, but it seemed to be a hit with others, including my husband, who loved it. Personally, I’m not a fan of cheese and crackers, so it wasn’t my thing. I also found it a bit overpriced. We visited the Arizona Steakhouse in Atlanta, and the experience was nearly identical—same great ambiance and quality—yet this place cost more, and I couldn’t pinpoint why, as I’d have happily paid extra at Arizona’s. That said, this is hands down the best steakhouse in the area, perfect for a date or anniversary. Just be prepared to spend over $200.
JueJue — Google review
Just go to Texas Roadhouse instead. I just left here after a birthday steak meal and it was over cooked, tasted terribly bland, the twice baked potato was super dry without any extra toppings, and green beans were just blah. The cheese-wiz and crackers were okay. This would take you working 2 to 5 hours in order to compensate for a single meal. Overall, it was more expensive and way less delicious than any Texas Roadhouse meal and Ruby Tuesday's T-Bone steak. At least at Ruby's you can have tons of ingredients for your salad at their salad bar. Seriously, this place is super expensive with the meal options of a crappy backwoods restaurant. Don't waste your time at this place.

Let me start by saying this if you plan to have a large party here be aware!! I decided to plan my 40th Birthday party here since I wanted an elegant setting, I chose Chris, now I've been here before when my husband and I celebrated our anniversary, That was always a pleasant experience but I believe they were under a different management or Owner at the time. Let me tell you!! they made this They made my birthday experience Horrible and believe me when I say I will never come here again. First, the fact that I had to confirm my "reservation" about 4 times from August- September is unacceptable and very unorganized. As much as I wanted to change the location the invite where already sent out and I did not want to confuse my guest with multiple invites. 2. I planned to rent out the room Angus to be exact, but since they do not rent out rooms due to high traffic on Fridays and Saturday I was told just to make a reservation which I did in August just to make sure my table of 17 would be ready. I started receiving phone calls back-to-back about a contract which I thought was odd since it was just a reservation- meaning my party would sit among other guests and not by ourselves. To me the contract should have been valid if I had paid the $200 fee for the room that my guest and I would occupy so I assumed they wanted me to sign the paper they gave me just to keep records of who's attending which I did "twice" if the guest list needed to be updated. PLEASE UNDERSTAND if your guests are no shows they will charge you a fee of $53.00 per seat unoccupied for a reservation!!!. How do I know, Yes they tried to charge me for their mistake I updated my guest list on Thursday the party was Saturday but the receptionist forgot to update it!! 3. This new owner or manager is extremely rude and my guest took this situation as racial profiling. Reasons Number 1 I was told no balloons but the white party next to us was celebrating someone's 60th birthday party since balloons were present. 2 they gave them the middle table and put us in the corner towards the wall. Some of my guests food were cold. The steak was not done properly and Hard. The greens taste like the came straight out the ground no seasoning. For the price crackers and cheese mixed with sour cream is unacceptable. So over priced low quality food!! And the fact that yall put both parties in one room while the Angus room was Unoccupied is crazy. I guess you weren't that busy after all and it shows. The waiters we had no issues with they where very nice and understanding. But the owner I have nothing nice to say PERIOD!!! Overall 10 out of 10 I Do Not Recommend Read the reviews on 1 Star rating is clear they do this alot. And some experienced some Racism. I should have read the 1 star review but this was a lesson learned...

It was not what we expected. The food was okay, nothing wow! For the price we paid, we were expecting more. It was our anniversary dinner too. Our waiter was great she made us feel welcomed.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Joshua during my recent visit to Chris' Steakhouse and Seafood, and I must say—his service was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we were seated, Joshua’s warm personality, professionalism, and attention to detail created a dining experience that was top-tier. What truly sets Joshua apart is his natural charisma and genuine care for every guest. He has an effortless way of making people feel welcome and valued. His recommendations were spot-on, he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and he maintained a perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism throughout the evening. In my opinion, Joshua embodies all the qualities of a great leader. His poise, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tables with grace make it clear he has what it takes to be in a managerial role. Chris' Steakhouse and Seafood would only be stronger with someone like Joshua helping to lead the team. Kudos to Joshua for making our night memorable—he’s a true asset to the restaurant!

We went for my wife's birthday and had a great experience. Yes, it was pricey but worth it for special occasions. We had appetizers, salad, steak with add-ons. She had shrimp and I had crab cake. We took our desserts home to have it in the morning with coffee. Highly recommend to make a reservation. Walk-ins are welcomed but have to wait for those with a reservation. Enjoy!
Michael T — Google review
Enjoyed our first experience here. Will likely go back, but I hate to say we were not totally impressed with the food quantity or quality. Had heard from others how good it was yet I felt my seafood was barely seasoned and rather dry. The two huge broccoli spears were totally tasteless. And I somehow expect a seafood plate to have a bit more to it. My wife’s pork tenderloin was fine, but she said it was not all that tender and surprised there was no sauce. Seemed like something was missing on both our plates. Ok, maybe the seafood and pork were designed to be “sauce-less,” but that’s not what I expected. I don’t want to dismiss the place on one visit alone, so we will go again one day. Our server was wonderful.

Admission is free so it is highly recommended for those interested in history and local culture.

After a year in Fayetteville I finally made it to a museum. It's small but mighty take the time to read the exhibits you will learn some interesting facts. It's not really kid friendly even with the interactive parts.

The director, in our opinion, of this museum is very poor - how about making an effort to post changes to your hours and spending 10 minutes with those visiting? Clearly, it appears, you don't care about welcoming visitors...terrible. Several have noted about lack of posting hours and changes in the reviews here. You are disappointing visitors after a long drive with kids being saddened . Our family feels that what you did today...IS SHAMEFUL

It's free admission and is worth checking out to get a better feel of the significance of Fayetteville. Who knew that Fayetteville had so much to do with transportation? I sure didn't and definitely learned a thing or two from here. Also, there is a small Farmer's Market on Saturdays mornings that has about 4-6 vendors selling some produce, art, and canned goodies.

What an absolutely amazing experience from the start to the end! This has always been something on my mother's bucket list and Paraclete DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Everyone was absolutely amazing! Angela got us all acclimated to the building and explained the experience and the packages. She went above and beyond to answer all of our questions! We had the pleasure of observing the ARMY team practice and they were also an amazing group of soldiers! Our instructor was OVER THE TOP amazing! Brandon was so patient and encouraging. He made sure my mom was comfortable. He went over all the details and demonstrated body positions and movements for the wind tunnel. He explained all the safety rules and regulations. He took care of us as if we were family! Brandon Wood made this experience more than we could ever ask for or imagine! It was difficult holding back tears of joy for the entire experience. Never would I EVER do any activity like this...this was planned for my mother HOWEVER Brandon was very convincing and I was able to face my own personal fears. He was so thorough! His goal was to make sure we all had fun and we certainly did. Now I understand the couple we met as we entered the building... they were super hype and excited and told us we would not be disappointed. I know it was meant for us to be in Raeford for this experience. It was definitely worth the drive from Virginia AND WE WILL BE BACK! I can't say thank you enough to Brandon and Angela. We absolutely loved watching Brandon fly and do all kinds of amazing spiderman moves! Oh, and Dylan, the young man from Brazil, and the gentleman operating the wind speed...everyone worked together to make sure our experience was one to remember.

We had such an amazing experience today! Check in was fast and easy the instructor was great (this was our families first time), we will be back. This is something I myself have wanted to do for a very long time (I’m 67) and gave my daughter and her husband this family experience as my daughter’s 40th birthday gift; we all did this together. My 5 year old granddaughter was unsure but still had a great time as one of the instructors took her into the wind tunnel to see if she would try it (maybe next time 😉). I can not say enough about the amazing experience we all had today, thank you!

The Climbing Place, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, is the oldest and most renowned climbing gym in the state. Since its opening in the early 1990s, it has continued to thrive and offers approximately 20,000 square feet of climbing space. The facility features various elements such as cargo nets, campus boards, military ropes, slacklines, obstacles, traverses, ledges for bouldering and top rope climbing. It also provides opportunities for Ninja Warrior-style activities.
The Climbing Place was such a fun and welcoming spot! The place felt so homey, with a super-friendly design that made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The paperwork was a breeze, and I had a blast climbing with my two-year-old and four-year-old. It’s definitely a beginner-friendly gym, perfect for families and kids. The ceilings are a bit shorter than what I’m used to at other gyms, so if you’re looking for an extreme difficult climb, this might not be the place. But for an easy-going, fun time, it’s great! Special shoutout to the staff, who were incredibly kind and helpful—my niece was nervous about letting herself down on the auto-belayer, and they really went above and beyond to help her. We'll definitely be back!

Downtown Fayetteville offers a charming and scenic shopping experience with its array of unique shops and boutiques like Pressed, Gullah Girl Boutique, Downtown Lady, Cotton River Outfitters, and A Bit of Carolina. The area also boasts a historic vibe with hidden gems such as antique stores and delicious restaurants. Fayetteville is a city in North Carolina. The Airborne and Special Operations Museum has exhibits on U.S. Army history, and a motion simulator. The riverside Cape Fear Botanical Garden has plant species like camellias and daffodils, plus a children's garden. The Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex explores local cultural heritage, and includes Arsenal Park and the 1897 Poe House, a late-Victorian house museum But we came in a short time and just go around the downtown, impression with house, view, trees, foods anything here

There are definitely hidden gems including antique stores and boutiques and delicious restaurants in Downtown Fayetteville. Art installations and statues are sprinkled throughout and coffee shops for the morning and wine bars and breweries for the night. It has a historic vibe with a "diamond in the rough" kind of feel. Downtown Fayetteville has something special and it keeps getting better with new additions. Some of my favorite places so far are the Coffee Cup, Airborne and Special Ops Museum, Gaston Brewery, The Sweet Palate, and The Fried Turkey Sandwich Shop. Come and visit and explore some of the shops down here!

First-timer in North Carolina and pleasantly surprised to try out these muscadine grapes. Sweet and tart, gotta love it. The Auman Vineyards is hidden behind a home, but opens up into a beautiful courtyard in the back. Vines are fully stocked and my family loved spending a few hours there on a cloudy morning. Just watch out for the ant hills!

This farm gives me good memories since a kid . It's traditional that my family visits every year and it's therapeutic. I even wrote a college paper on the farm/farmer. Thank you for being apart of the community .

First time going grape picking. The vineyard is large and the gentleman that runs it is very kind and helpful. He also had local lavender honey for sale the day we went.

My mom and I found this place by accident. We were actually wanting some wine. We looked up wineries near us and this popped up. It is actually a place to pick your own grapes 🍇. It is a residence they have a big backyard with grape vines. There were children there laughing and having a blast. The elderly gentleman explained us about the grapes and which ones were right to pick. It was a great unexpected way to make another memory with my mom. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nestled within the military grounds of Fort Bragg, Stryker Golf Course is a historic gem designed by Donald Ross that has been welcoming golfers since 1946. This public course boasts an impressive 18 holes stretching over 6,800 yards, making it a fantastic destination for both seasoned players and newcomers alike. The clubhouse offers amenities such as a pro shop and an eatery, ensuring visitors have everything they need for a day on the greens.
It's golf. It is always a good experience. I brought some of my players here for some Saturday morning fellowship at the driving range. The attendants at the pro-shop are and have always being nice and helpful with my tee time and even on a day like today, hanging out with my team.

Not a bad driving range. I just wished there was cover over the driving area, it got really hot. Large basket was $14, I’m not sure how many balls but, I’m guessing about 150-170 balls give or take. Apparel prices were a bit high even with the “sale”. The staff could be more welcoming.

Shot my worst round of the year so far, but that was my fault. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 3.5/5 - Some tee boxes are beyond natural repair. Fairways 3.5/5 - Mixed grass means you could have a good or bad lie in the fairway. Noticeable bare spots. Greens 5/5 - No complaints to be had about the greens. They roll true at about a 10.5 or 11. The green shapes have a good amount of undulations making shot placement important. They hold shots well, being slightly firm. Bunkers 3/5 - I was in a surprising amount of bunkers today. These bunkers seem to be made from light beach sand. Depth and amount of sand was inconsistent. Placement presented challenges off the tee and on the approach. Layout 3/5 - Nothing really stood out as a signature hole, alot of straight aways, a couple drivable par 4s made things interesting. Amenities 3.5/5 - Mats only driving range with cars as targets is really fun. No practice bunker that I found. Large putting green. Overall, I give it 3.5/5. I rounded up being generous. I'd give it a true 4 if either the fairways or tee boxes were better. Good course to walk.

Stryker is a great golf course off the beaten path and you get a lot for your money regarding quality of the course. The front 9 are great for high handicap golfers with barely any roads/houses your hook or slice can impact. Be mindful of certain holes in close proximity to the driving range. Driving range is turf only.

For this kind of golf course… I would feel more comfortable with a 3,5 stars … it is not a 4 but neither a 3…. It isn’t well maintained but it is enjoyable….

Great course. Did not play regular golf but rather disc golf. Very nice course that was setup as a disc golf course 9n the back 9.
Netposer G — Google review
Rude, unprofessional staff. Especially the way they treated an active military member and a veteran. The fairways are brown and not kept well. If I'm going to pay $300 for a golf game, I should enjoy the golf. Nope. They made it a point to come out to us to tell us we couldn’t let people play through if they were catching up to us, and then kept coming out to “check” on us. Absolutely ridiculous. Worst golf course etiquette I’ve ever seen from the worst kept golf course I’ve ever been at.
Millisa H — Google review
Sadly this course is kept in poor shape. Barren spots in the fairway play like hazards. The greens are well maintained, but the rest of the course is struggling. Tee boxes are full of rough ground, weeds are overgrown into the sand traps, and rye grass quickly outgrows the fairway.

Airport
Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY) offers convenient access to the city and surrounding areas with its proximity to public transit provided by the Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST). The airport boasts a spacious and well-maintained building with clean facilities, efficient security procedures, and ample parking. Travelers appreciate the ease of navigating the airport layout, quick check-in process, and friendly staff. While security checks are swift, some passengers have experienced delays in baggage claim.
Staff: The staff at the check in counter was helpful. Answered the few questions I had. They also seems efficient and they were very friendly. The lady that helped me had a big smile and was light hearted. Building: building is spacious and very well taken care of. The bathrooms are clean. The cleaning staff was visible which is why it’s in the clean state that it is. Security: was easy to get through. No long lines. Body scans and baggage scans were fast. Parking: plenty of parking. Star rating: 5 because of the cleanliness, smiling customer service and the kind people. I have no problem coming back here every chance I get. If this review helped, please hit the thumbs up and give me a follow.

First time flying into and out of this airport. Small (very small) which can be a shock (and a relief!) if you're used large area airports. Doesn't have that big city crazy hectic feel. I won't tell you what to do, but I can't imagine a time you would need 2 hours to get through TSA here, that's for sure (a regular saya 45 mins is good). There is one little shop for essentials, plenty of seating and very clean. I am not sure I've seen a cleaner airport! (With staff all over the pllace cleaning.) My first dislike, and honestly it's probably the only real relevant one (because the fact that SW doesn't fly here isn't a review factor or the airport's fault probably)...is the lack of signage. Small airports still need signage. You come off of the TSA belt to the eatery(bar?) seating atrium... to nothing. Two ways to walk (left or right). Okay, true, it doesn't take a long time to walk from one wing to the other but JUST gate #s don't help anyone. Not a single passenger looked as if they had any idea where to go after TSA. We all did the same thing; looked around, looked back at the boarding passes (which this day for some reason the app for my airline did not ever indicate my gate#).... So we had to search for a departure/arrival boards because there is not one visible from TSA exit. 🤷🏻‍♀️ There are 2 A/D boards. One at each wing middle. And if the last airline left their sign out by the gate (but plane left a while ago) passengers are audibly heard saying, "wait so that's a different airline"...and so they keep on searching (back and forth between the wings). It can't be more than a 1/4 mile from one end of the airport to the other but schlepping and guessing aren't fun. One additional departure and arrival board would be perfect and preferred in the middle of the two wings where people coming off TSA belt can see which direction to go. Makes sense right? And the existing ones should be updated (which they were not at all while I was there, the opposite: gate #'s dropped off with no replacements). Other than that, it's a beautiful little airport, so many beautiful spaces, natural lighting and restrooms are everywhere and even right outside of TSA before you head in (which is so convenient). However, now that I'm thinking about it, I had another signage issue lol. Had to ask where TSA was👀it was not obvious upon entring the buikding. Signage for tickets, exits, and plenty of bathrooms, but TSA escalator is behind you when you (behind a large floor to ceiling wall) when you walk into the airport. So you go forward then backwards to go up 👀. I did see an escalator in front of me, but didn't assume that was for TSA (and you guessed it, no signage there). The airport doesn't look like two levels when you pull up to the front of the airport so it was interesting. I had to ask someone. They do have a pet relief area which I thought was really neat. Don't see that often... but I also didn't see how that works. Sign says "downstairs", (at an elevator door). But looking down through a window to an enclosed lower level (where the elevator opens up) there is an entryway with doors to the outside tarmack (with signs "no exit allowed"). Maybe someone else in their review will clarify how this works because it's not clear. In the end ..there were still no gate numbers on the A/D boards OR airline screen... Had to ask the desk🤦🏻‍♀️. [Update; a regular flier said this is extremely uncommon- good to know. And apparently there used to be only two airlines a long time ago.]

I arrived at the FAY airport at 0510 on 29 May 2025 for a 0600 or 6 a.m. flight with a final destination to Japan with Delta Airlines. By the time I got in line, it was 0515, and they were already telling people that it was baggage cutoff. A 45-minute baggage cutoff for a regional airport is unacceptable, and an exception should be made. They actually placed the cutoff prior to the 45-minute drop-off because people in front of me were denied baggage drop-off. I have traveled from many international airports, and such a cutoff does not exist. I am positive international airports have much more going on than regional airports. This is an airport that serves service members at a nearby military installation. The lack of service and assistance provided by the staff does not display a “Support Our Troops” mentality. It is more like assisting customers is not part of their values for those with Delta at FAY. If you go to the Delta counter at FAY, see an associate named Jess, and you are 46 minutes, definitely 45 minutes before your flight, you might as well sit down and wait for the flight to leave, so they can try to get you on another flight. I was provided with the tickets for my flights, but what sense does that make if I cannot check my luggage? The stewardess on the plane is not going to allow me to bring my luggage on the plane. If they are so firm on this 45-minute baggage cutoff, then they should place signs behind the counter stating such with a clock updated by satellite. They have signs for everything else in the airport: Real ID info, Carry-On Info, etc., but nothing about the critical baggage drop-off times. They need to make some major changes with customer service and providing information to passengers or demolish the airport entirely. An increase in employment may also assist with increasing efficiency. As the same employees who are at the baggage/ticket desk on the 1st floor are the same ones working the gate and boarding the flight. Also, recommend customer service training for some of the employees, because Jess had zero customer service skills. I ended up missing my flight, but I was not the only one. Several people ended up missing their flight due to the baggage cutoff. The only good thing that came about with this incident was them locking on another flight for me, 12 hours later, that caused a ripple effect for me. So instead of getting to my destination (Japan) the next day, it will be two days of travel. While at the airport for the second time, I witnessed the American Airlines baggage counter empty while people were in line to check their baggage prior to the baggage cutoff time. Due to the American Airlines counter being delinquent employees, people missed the luggage cutoff, and essentially missed their flights. Getting back on track now, I cleared security and was at my gate and the flight had been delayed twice, pushing the flight behind by 2 hours. They say Fly Fayetteville, but I recommend you fly Raleigh-Durham International. It will be a much smoother process as it is a larger airport with adequate staff. Additionally, there are more amenities for you to enjoy as you wait for your flight to board. Unlike FAY where there are mostly gates, vending machines, a small restaurant/coffee shop, and restrooms. If they are going to recommend you be at the airport 2 hours prior to your flight, they can at least have more/better amenities. They need to do better if they want people to fly out of here. I hope that this review helps with your decision to fly out of FAY or with being at the airport 2 hours early, so you don’t miss the luggage cutoff time.

My mom recently got back from an international trip last night, someone else grabbed one of her bags from the baggage collection area by accident and the newest Supervisor Dayhana did a great job at contacting people and giving phone numbers to resolve the matter. I was contacted by the person who accidentally took it (she was already home by then and didn't realize the wrong bag was grabbed until she got home and looked at the tag and then called the airport) and I was able to give my mom her number to call so they could get it resolved before my mom and dad left the airport. The Supervisor didn't have to wait to make sure the lady returned with the bag, but she did (that was the last flight of the night) and was even looking in the airplane with her flashlight for my moms bag just to be sure it wasn't left behind on the plane. I just wanted to give her kudos from my family for doing a great job and giving excellent customer service to my mom, so thank you to Supervisor Dayhana, keep up the great work that you do!

I’m not from Fayetteville, but I fly out of the area a few times a year. I never had an issue here. TSA are extremely friendly and patient. I never experienced any high-pressure service from the team. Food service personnel are just as kind and helpful. USO office and their friendly service is also a great add-on for me. I’m a frequent flyer. I have visited all 50 states and over 30 countries. Again, I travel a lot for work and pleasure. I’ve been to many extraordinary airports. Fayetteville Regional Airport is constant in terms of professionalism, cleanliness, and general well-maintained atmosphere: restrooms, parking lots, waiting areas, etc. I’m thankful for smooth service each time. Kudos to the Fayetteville Regional Airport team! 🇺🇸♥️

My wife and I had an incredible experience at The Seed and The Sower exhibit. The Fayetteville Arts Council did a phenomenal job bringing together such powerful works that celebrated Black legacy, lineage, and creativity. Curated beautifully by Teresa Christine, each piece told a story that sparked emotion and reflection. It was truly moving to witness the depth of talent and cultural storytelling on display. We left inspired and grateful for spaces like this that honor and uplift Black art and community.

We loved it. Our 1st time bringing our dino lover was last year and we decided to make the 3 hr drive to revisit. Loved the changes made to the layout and that the rides were in the back near everything else. I dont remember as many, if any, of the motion activated dinos on the trail moving when we came through last year, so maybe that was an update or repair but we were pleasantly surprised that every single one was in action this time around. The carnotaurus at the end was a nice addition. We had a great time! And as a side note, all the staff we encountered were friendly but the young lady who works the dino ride is SO great and interactive with the kids.
Tierra S — Google review
After visiting the farm, I had to post a review because it saddens me to see animals in such unfavorable environments. I had to read other reviews to see if this was a common occurrence or an off day, and sadly others have mentioned similar experiences. My biggest concern was the pigs were completely out of water. The larger pigs had a bucket full of wet mud and an empty trough. They did have a mud field in the back with muddy puddles. The smaller pigs had no water and didn't even have access to mud puddles, they were locked in a floored pin. We poured some water into their bin and they were fighting to try to get to it. We told someone at the front booth while we were leaving, but they really didn't seem to care. The rabbits were sitting in small wired cages with a roof but no air flow. It is my understanding rabbits shouldn't be in temperatures higher than 80 degrees, which can cause heat stress and death. They were heavily panting, their food bowls empty, and water was green. There was a long electric fence containing some of the animals. This fence didn't have any warning signs posted (that I saw). Even posting signs could still be dangerous considering there is no buffer between the electric fence and your child. Lastly, we paid $160 for 4 adults and a child. This provided entrance to the farm, inflatables and dino world. All other things are extra. Upon entering, there is a field on the right with dinos labeled "SVR photo area". Thinking this was an area where I could take photos of my child - since dino world was included in our pass - I went to take a picture and was immediately told to leave the area and that I wasn't allowed to take pictures there. I think it's pretty crummy to put this area at the front of the farm (the true dino world is all the way in the back), so children get excited and want to check it out, only to be told it is an extra and you have to pay to get your picture there. This is how our experience started, so I was already frustrated before we even made it to the first exhibit. Dino world was set up nicely, which is why I'm giving two stars, but I was very disappointed with the farm and "petting zoo" areas and overall experience.

My boyfriend and i booked the Queens Cabin at Sweet Valley Ranch for my 36th bday weekend. The hostess Ms. Melody and my boyfriend worked together to provide me with the best birthday ever. They created an itinerary that was loads and loads of fun for anyone of ANY age. Friday evening i was met with a small cake that read Happy Birthday and other trinkets from Ms. Melody. Around 2am my boyfriend and i sat out on the deck to star gaze. I saw 3 shooting stars! Saturday we rode 4 wheelers for an hour with Craig and Wesley. We rode thru some trails at 50-70mph! We did find one mud puddle and ofcourse we road thru it. We had a blast! I learned how to fish how to fish for the first time. I spent more time learning to cast the line than actually fishing. Lol i fed so many animals but a spotted girl horse was my favorite to feed red apples to in the back field. She is BEAUTIFUL and so big! Sunday was spent petting, brushing and feeding Hunter the mini cow and Phoenix the mini pony. They also have fainting goats that stiff up when you chase them. I had fun terrorizing them as well. I had the BEST BIRTHDAY here and you will too. Have you booked yet?! Well what are you waiting for!

I visited Sweet Valley Ranch with my son and his family, and my 3 yr old grandson was sooo excited when we entered "Jurassik Park!!!" We rented a golf cart to ride around in, but it is an easy walk, ( but maybe a bit long) walk. There are also other animals to look at and feed. In the Reptile Hose, I thought it was pretty cool that you ask the visitor's input for naming the Mata Mata Turyle and the Caphian (sp) Lizard! If your child likes dinosaurs, this is the place for you! There are add-on packages, face painting, photo sessions, etc, that you can also purchase. It was a really great time for our little family!

Last weekend, a group of 20 people had their first-time experience at the premier opening-day show of Evil Dead: The Musical at Gilbert Theater. Their daughter Linda and the rest of the group were fantastic, while the theater itself was pleasant, comfortable, and provided excellent customer service. The overall experience was unforgettable and enjoyable, prompting them to return tonight and plan another visit next weekend.
As someone who's seen hundreds of Broadway shows (and hundreds more off Broadway, off off Broadway, regional, etc.) I absolutely love that my first time seeing a production of "Heathers: The Musical" was in Fayetteville at the Gilbert Theater. The company did a wonderful job bringing the story to life in a small space with a limited budget. Plenty of creativity and talent. My audience visibly and audibly had so much fun. I enjoyed the intimate environment of a black box theater. And all the employees and volunteers were friendly. Very reasonable ticket prices, and excellent, donation-based concessions options. Looking forward to the next show!

This place is incredible, and each show is better than the last! The dedication the artists have to their craft as well as the upkeep the Artistic Director, House Manager, and staff have done is just so beautiful. The shows are so well done in performance and design that you're shocked to know this is a community theater! For anyone who has yet to attend their shows, 100/10 recommend doing so this upcoming season!

The staff and all volunteers I’ve encountered are also incredibly kind, and I highly recommend for anyone to spend a night seeing a show here!

This is my second summer concert at this venue. Last year, the venue believed in using the air conditioner in July. This August however they did not believe in using g the air conditioner even though several thousand people were in attendance. Acoustics are also not great for music. Food is decent and affordable. Parking was free.

We attended a concert and the venue itself was really nice. There is absolutely zero cellular service and your normal long bathroom waits. The only thing I didn't particularly care for was the traffic directing. The law enforcement officers did great however there were some volunteers waiving wands around which confused us. With that said, we were back on the highway within 5 or 10 minutes.

This is not an ideal venue for concerts. Attended the Scotty McCreery concert on 8/22, first time here and we will never be back. Parking is in a field that is full of holes and ruts and smells like manure. The inside has basically no signage on where sections are, except for a small sign at the top of the section near the ceiling. There were no staff available to help with finding our seats, which is expected at concerts. Seems like they didn’t even turn on the air at all the whole time. The women’s bathroom was disgusting and the floor was slippery and wet, with no wet floor sign placed. The only thing this place has going for them is free parking and reasonably priced concessions. Good concert, but I will never return to this place that is not designed for concerts.

FTCC Trojan Field at J P Riddle Stadium is a charming venue that offers an inviting atmosphere for sports enthusiasts and families alike. While I haven't had the chance to catch a game yet, the football field and baseball diamond promise exciting action. The facility features ample restrooms and a designated area for kids to play, making it family-friendly.
Solid older baseball stadium. Good scoreboard. Plenty of rest rooms and good sight lines except couple rows behind dugouts. Seat number one is to remember POW/MIAs.

Outstanding baseball facility! They are renovating it as we speak. The field is Top notch. The stands are great and covered to keep you out of the sun.

Great concert venue. VIP was accommodating.

Fun place to take the family for an evening out. Affordable food and beverage costs and safe place to enjoy coastal plains baseball.
Eric S — Google review
Nice football field, and also has a nice ball field, haven't seen a game there yet but interested to see what it's like! They do have bathrooms on site and a place for kids to run around!
Danyell F — Google review
Small place, but they have good lighting
Glenn P — Google review
Had a fantastic time at the FTC C baseball game. The silage I are good especially if you are underneath the overhang. If it's chilly bring a seat cushion though the seats are metal

The FTCC security guard made me move and said the parking there was VIP's. ONLY! I asked her if all the cars there were VIP's and she yes all of them! I asked her if the Van was VIP's and she said yes! She lied because I know 5he people in the Van. They are all VIP's to me but are not related to anyone there. She was parked there when the people in the Van parked and she never said anything to them or the family that parked On 5hat area driving a Ford SUV. For some reason she chose to give me a pr

Park
Entertainment
Honeycutt Park is a family-friendly park featuring baseball fields, a recreation center, and trails. It offers two playgrounds designed for different age groups, including a shaded play structure with various fun elements and a dedicated toddler area. The park also boasts a splash pad, making it an ideal spot for hot days. While the preschool side features a huge dragon play area and the school-age section includes monkey bars, some maintenance issues have been noted in certain areas of the park.
Very nice and clean park! It's in the city, yet, one can't tell while visiting. It's lively and peaceful simultaneously. There's playground equipment and a splash pad for children to enjoy. There's also a paved sidewalk that is around the perimeter of the area. Definitely worth a visit!
Deidra — Google review
Nice size splash pad. Definitely room for several kids to play. The water was on at the exact time the website said it would be. I would like more shade area. I didn't like all the parking area being so far. But I guess you can park behind it but Google didn't take me to that parking lot.
Stay B — Google review
A newer park for the bigger kids is going to open soon, and the little kids love the toddler park. There is a cool climbing net and a smaller climbing play place for the smaller kids. There is a seasonal splash pad and baseball and softball parks. Lots of space to play and walk. Dogs are okay on leash. Gazebo with picnic tables. There are sometimes some shady characters around, but we haven't had any issues. A good place for kids to meet new friends as well as adults and also to meet up and have playdates. Central location next to FTCC.
Christina M — Google review
Awesome place people very friendly and love the splash pad a lady even let me daughter ride her kids scooter.
Tia L — Google review
Really nice park! It's clean and seems well kept. It has different sized slides for all aged kids. There's also a splash pad, and walking trail. It has a gazebo and seating around the park as well as ample parking.
Phill — Google review
My 2 year old son loves this park. There are two areas, one for the toddlers and one for the kids. The kiwanis club is open for restroom breaks and there are plenty of places for me to sit down and watch him play with his baby sibling.
T. C — Google review
This park was the highlight of my kids day. They loved the splash pad and the spider web play area and school age playground. We went to check out the preschool side a few days later and my daughter loved it. The parks do need to be maintained a tad though. In the preschool park with the huge dragon, on the far side of the spider web play park, it needs to be power washed and the flooring needs to be recemented down The school age side has a monkey bar section that is missing. Idk how long ago its been missing, but that didn't stop the children from having fun. Bathrooms are available near the baseball fields and at the recreation center. Great park for a hot summer day of play. If shaded area is taken at the splash pad, bring a chair or mat to stay under the nearby trees.
April B — Google review
EDIT: Recently renovated!!! So much better Great hang out spot. Entertainment time: easy 2 hour Pros: Easy parking 3 diferent playgrounds splash pad near by tons of running space loads of families Cons: close to the parking lot, so watch your kids carefully can get pretty busy

Dog park
Park
Riverside Dog Park is a popular fenced canine recreation facility located near Cape Fear River in Fayetteville, NC. It features separate grass fields for small and large dogs, along with shade trees, water stations, dog waste bags, and benches. The park is well-maintained with mowed grass and ample amenities such as water spigots and benches. Additionally, it offers walking trails nearby for those who prefer to take their dogs on a stroll.
When I got there only two people were there, plenty of space at the dog park and if you want to you could go and walk the trail👍🏾. The only issue I had was there wasn't water for the dogs
Mark W — Google review
It is a nice park to take your four legged friends, but the people that goes there dont appreciate it much, nor take care of it. There were dog poop all over the park. The small dog area that is. Even though there are waste bags provided, they wont pick up after their dogs. We need to do a better job than that. Common we all are adults, lets' behave as such.
Edgardo N — Google review
I Go every Sunday. Very clean for a dog park and to socialize your dog. They have a separate area for the smaller dogs and a separate area for the larger dogs which is nice because the bigger dogs could trample your poor little baby. There is walking trails next to the dog park. Unfortunately it is next to a water treatment plant so there is a very distinct smell for those that are sensitive to that kind of thing. I would recommend taking your dog baby to this park.
Matthew B — Google review
Tons of space and shade. They have water faucets available. There’s a lot of mud at the entrances to the yards, so be careful.
Melissa S — Google review
Our first trip to the dog park was successful. We meet a lot of well-behaved dogs and a few nice people, as well. There dog park is reasonably well maintained, all things considered. There are plenty of buckets for the dogs to drink and a couple of places where poop bags are kept along the fence line. There's only a single chain link fence between the large and small dog sides, so there's a bit of excitement from that, but it wasn't unmanageable. Owners seemed to actually pay attention to their dogs, which you don't see everywhere. We will definitely be back.
Melissa J — Google review
This our favorite dog park in Fayetteville to bring our dog, George. It’s well maintained. The grass stays mowed, the trashcans usually aren’t overflowing and they have poop bags hanging on the fence to use. There is a small dog side and a large dog side. The large dog side can be partitioned off too. They have water spigots and benches and enough trees to sit in the shade while your dog plays. It’s also at the beginning of the Linear Park trail in case you’d rather take your doggo on a walk. It can get kind of muddy the day after a heavy rain so we do try to avoid it then. Plenty of space. We’ve been there when there were 12 other dogs in the large dog area with us and still felt like there was room for more dogs. George approved.
Matthew L — Google review
This is a great place to take your dog to run around they have plenty of water stations, toys and bags to clean up after your dogs. I really enjoy taking my son’s dogs there. There are benches for people to sit on.There’s a small dog area and a large dog area. They have another area in the back if you want to keep your dog away from the other dogs.
GLORIA O — Google review
Holy Dogs!! Do not show up at ten am and expect to be alone! There must have been 25 dogs in the large dog area. The small dog area is designated for dogs under 25 lbs but we put our antisocial human loving 80 pound dog in the small dog area because no one was there and we were scared to see what would happen with the exposure to so many other dogs all at once. I was surprised at the large number of dogs and how well they all played. They would jump in the water buckets and lift their legs on the fire hydrants. It was cute! Maybe we will show up at a less visited time again (not between 9:30-noon) and see if our dog can handle the large dog area.

My grand kids drag me here, yet, I love it. Folks of all ages come here. Kids, teenagers and adults. The skaters and riders always look out for the small kids. Something any parent can appreciate. Plenty of places to observe your kids while not being on top of them. They all seem to love it. Best part, they leave it all on the track and I get some peace and quiet while enjoying every minute of them 😎

I went there April. Super nice, pretty spacious. It was clean & well taken care of. I took my boys to skate, after they were done we walked the park. There was a little stream that they loved. Animal status, picnic tables, lots of shade. NO DOGS allowed, but I did see 2 dogs. Everyone seemed to be cool about it.
Leti S — Google review
Casual spot that can get busy but most people will give way to those who are still learning or even give a helping hand. It is kept clean and there is a wall near by for the graffiti artist which keeps the skate park safe from mark ups. Public park spot with a great skate shop adjacent and a kids playground area next to it.
Jerrod E — Google review
Took kiddos and dogs here on a Sunday afternoon. Wasn’t overly crowded. Lots of room and open space! Would go back for sure!

Very nice park with a bowl and other large skating area.

Was lovely walking my dogs here before taking off on a 3 hr ride. The skaters loved them & were respectful of them. Plenty of wide open area for them to walk. Bring your own bags, though!

Great skate park. I love how the older skaters help the younger ones. My son was nervous at first but everyone was so cool! Clean area as well!
Jessica T — Google review
We go to the Pickelball courts all the time. Well maintained for your recreational user and two courts have shade in the AM because of the trees. First some first serve courts. Gravel parking lot right next to it. Bathroom is 1 portable.

This ball field is nice and well kept. The concession stand employees are very sweet-natured and funny. You can tell that they are working hard and care about their customers. The ants are a little annoying. And the crematorium next door makes it a little creepy LOL but overall I feel it's nice ball field.

Park
Freedom Memorial Park is a serene and leafy military memorial park that holds a special place in the community's heart. It features monuments and engraved plaques honoring the fallen heroes who served the country. The park provides a poignant memorial, evoking gratitude and reflection. Although some feel it lacks coherent design focus, it serves as an excellent gateway to the Historic District, downtown, and other nearby attractions.
To honor those who served and died for this country is the ultimate sacrifice. It is very heartfelt knowing that the city put up memorials for those, including myself, who have served in this country, making it what it is. Thank you all for your service, not just in the Army but all branches of the military.
Nick M — Google review
I try to visit veterans memorials in cities that we stop in. I thought this one was very well done and thoughtful. I appreciated the separation of each military conflict, and how the design of each one was unique.
Andrew S — Google review
Beautiful small park. Tons of information to read. This place definitely acknowledges the many people who sacrificed so much. It also lists many of the park's sponsors. Sooo well maintained and wonderfully situated!
Deidra — Google review
A strange little park that seems to have been built to fill up space more than anything. Nothing new to see here, especially in a city riddled with military memory. 9/11, WWI, and Vietnam all clustered together.
Nick N — Google review
Super small memorial park, but very well thought out and cared for. Perfect for quick little walks around the place to learn about the displays on hand.
Richard A — Google review
Beautiful park in memorial of those who served in America’s foreign conflicts. Plan to spend at least a half hour walking the path and reading the history.
