Historical landmark
The Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, Georgia, is a captivating tribute to the state's rich racing heritage. The museum offers an immersive experience with vintage videos, stock and moonshine cars, trophies, and artifacts that tell the story of NASCAR's evolution from Prohibition-era moonshine running. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring prominent figures like Bill Elliott and his son Chase Elliott. Vintage race cars including the first NASCAR car driven by Bill Elliott are on display both inside and outside the museum.
This place is amazing!! Very well laid out and so much information. All of the displays were well thought out and nice to see. Loved the cars that were parked inside. So much info about the Elliott family that I did not know before. My husband and I are big Bill and Chase Elliott fans and this was an awesome place to learn more about them. My husband also drove one of the simulators and he had a blast! Nice gift shop as well.

Worth the visit! Cool stories, cars and memorabilia. Fun chatting with the guys that work there.
Robert Q — Google review
This museum is a wonderful display of racing history. Meeting Mr Bell and Mr Pirkle was just the best. They shared so much history and their love for racing was the best. Beautiful exhibits and museum. It is a must do and highly recommend!
Shawn S — Google review
First time visiting the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame and did not leave disappointed. Friendly staff and lots of neat racing history at this museum. 100% recommend if you have never visited before! Enjoyed the Halloween decorations on display throughout the museum as well.
Kyle K — Google review
The Georgia Racing Hall of Fame is a MUST-SEE for any and everyone who loves racing history, young or old. It perfectly captures the sport's authentic roots AND Dawsonville's / the state of Georgia's prolific moonshining past. The real treasure here is discovering the stories of foundational figures like NASCAR co-founder Raymond Parks and legendary early drivers like Lloyd Seay and Roy Hall. While the iconic cars of the Elliott family are present, the museum truly shines by honoring the entire legacy of Georgia racers. This place is no stuffy corporate museum, it's a PASSIONATE & genuine tribute to ALL the legends who made Georgia the birthplace of stock car racing.
Ken D — Google review
I received a military discount that was good! Great little museum for anyone who likes NASCAR and remembers the good old days of Awesome Bill! Even better to see how Chase has made his mark!

Distillery
Food & Drink
Located in the heart of Dawsonville, GA, Dawsonville Moonshine Distillery is a legal establishment that has been producing spirits from traditional recipes for over 150 years. Visitors can enjoy free tours and samples of moonshine while learning about the distillery's history. The friendly staff, including the passionate owner and knowledgeable employees, make for an engaging experience. Additionally, being adjacent to the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame adds to the overall appeal of this attraction.
This place was amazing. We came in right after a group was leaving out so we had the place to ourselves. We got to speak to the owner and about her history. Everyone was beyond friendly and welcoming. After we chatted for about 30 minutes and go out free samples, picked out our bottle and shot glasses, we headed to the tour. Bullet Bill was so amazing to watch and listen too. He is so passionate about what they do at the distillery, the steps that theu, take and how to take care of things. Watching his eyes light up when he spoke about each step made the tour much more exciting. Then we got to lower our hands into the fermenting batch that was to the side. The strong smell of yeast arose from there along with bubbles and heat--lots of heat. The process was so,much fin,to learn about and we will definitely be back this October when they release their 2 yr aged peach bourbon!
Marilyn G — Google review
What a great stop! We popped in on a Friday afternoon to look at getting some moonshine and ended up spending an hour and a half in there! The tour was entertaining and enjoyable! Our tour guide was a distiller and knew the process front and back! We tried 7 or 8 different moonshines and picked one out to take home. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone under 21 as it might be boring but for adults it's a great little find! I'll be back!
Nate N — Google review
Very interesting place to see plus what's not to love that it's owned by my favorite Nascar driver's dad, Bill Elliott. They can let you try samples. Great tasting moonshine! We bought the sample pack.
Melanie S — Google review
Loved it. The shine and whiskey tasting was great and the still tour with Bullet Bob was informative. With the GA Racing Hall of Fame in the same building it's a definite must see.
Larry C — Google review
Great experience! This is some of the best moonshine I have ever had! That White Lightening will knock your socks off! Happy, Rocket Man, and Bullet Bob are awesome! They even named me The Bronx Bootlegger 😁 #gratitude #loveinlifeessentials #thebronxconnect #bootleggin
Sasha G — Google review
Spent about $90 for apple pie moonshine, rye whiskey and a peach mixer which is supposed to go well with the white lightning moonshine that I have at home. Yes, it was pricey but my husband and I both enjoy the moonshine. This is the 1st time I'm drinking their rye whiskey. Wanted to get their limited edition bourbon ($60) but could not taste test it since it was limited 🥺. My friend however did buy a bottle so I'll get to try it😁
Kanan S — Google review
This little place was a nice stop. Took a tour and they are very knowledgeable and interesting history of his moonshine distilling family of 4 generations. A must stop if in the area.

There are several beautiful quilts made by the talented members of the guild being displayed now. The event is free and well worth seeing! I'm attaching photos from last year as I didn't have my phone with me when I visited this week.
Mary G — Google review
My husband & I paid and entered 4 pictures in their June 25th photography contest. When we came to the opening, all of the (approx 150) entries were displayed with nice Bowen ID info/picture cards - except ours! Our pics were hung on the wall with No information for the judge or viewers to see. Also, all of the participants had nicely printed name tag & lanyards on the table except us. A nice lady, GiGi, came by and asked if we were participating & looked for our cards. When she saw we had no lanyard id's, she hand wrote them up. I told her that none of our pictures had id cards either. I showed her our pictures & she was surprised. She went to ask the organizer, Ginny, and was told that she couldn't find them! We were Totally disappointed in the whole experience. We spent time and money to enter this contest and were not even acknowledged. It was our 1st And LAST time there.

Nice small town gallery. This old rock building is charming. Frequently changing exhibits and a friendly Director to answer any questions. Come visit often and try taking a class or attending a concert.

Cindy is the Art Center Curator & is extremely knowledgeable & helpful to all those who enter the Center! She also informed me of future exhibits & classes available for those interested in new experiences! Currently the exhibition is the BIG CANOE ART ASSOCIATION but soon Cindy will be hosting a 3 room NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION!

Nestled in the heart of Dawsonville, the Dawsonville Pool Room is a charming diner that captures the essence of Southern hospitality and racing culture. This iconic eatery serves up mouthwatering burgers and hot dogs on paper plates, all within a vibrant race car-themed setting. The atmosphere is steeped in history, showcasing an impressive collection of memorabilia dedicated to NASCAR legend Bill Elliott and the town's moonshine-running past.
I won't rave about the food. But we enjoyed our burgers. The place is great and worth a stop. Nice friendly service and very reasonable prices. Next time we go for chili dogs and a few games of pool.

For 3 years I thought this was an actual pool hall. Instead it’s a super casual, early NASCAR themed grub spot. Burgers have been good both times. You are going to wait for it though. I don’t care how busy or not they are. Servers are nice.

1st time visitor to this small hometown gem. My parents live in Atlanta & I'm visiting from Florida. They've been talking about this place for a while now. I ❤️ Nascar. It was small, homey, great food, & great service. The Bully Burger was delicious 😋. Thank you 😊
Samantha M — Google review
1st time here. I didn't have any expectations. All i wanted was a burger. This burger is called a bully burger. Came with ketchup, mustard, roar onions and coleslaw. I was open minded. This burger lacked flavor. I added some salt to it, but that didn't help. The fries had a weird smell when I opened the bag. Very limp, no salt and tasted weird. There's to me having an open mind. Try this spot if you are in that area. Let me know, you may have a better experience.

Average food.. Good race mastalgia. But it always takes too long to get a meal. Most working folks only have an hour for lunch, but here again I sit 60 minites and still nothing to eat! Just like my last three visits. Guess I should know better by now. Just a good ole boy place to eat when y'all got nothing else to do.

Had to stop and check it out after going to the Georgia Racing Hall of fame. Had a couple app’s and Diet Coke’s. A lot of history on the walls.

Great people in this small hole in the wall and the Burgers are delicious

Outside the Lines! Art Studio is a fantastic place to spend quality time alone, with friends, or with children. The owners are friendly and always ready to offer tips and explain new techniques. They have a wide variety of art supplies including different colors, stencils, stamps, and more. It's a popular choice for birthday celebrations as the staff ensures a stress-free experience while making the birthday person feel special.
We took a group of young girls here to paint the items of their choice and we were delighted to watch them enjoy themselves so much. The staff was tremendously helpful and accommodating, allowing us to have a terrific time creating our works of art. Highly recommended as a place to tap into your inner creative artist and produce something you can display with pride or give away to a friend or family member. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

We were there yesterday to make a couple of Father's Day presents. I wish I would have caught their names but both ladies were so kind and patient. My daughter, who has some sensory issues, was on the verge of a meltdown and their fun interactions, help, and reassurances saved the day! It was a great experience! I will definitely be back!
Jessica B — Google review
My daughter was over the moon to celebrate her 10th birthday at Outside The Lines. The ladies there were attentive to me, as the Mom and made sure I was as stress free as possible, but they also made the birthday girl feel like she was one in a million. They interacted with her and her guests on their level and they all had an absolute blast. My Daughter has some amazing memories with her friends and has asked to have every birthday until she turns 27 with Outside The Lines! I sure hope they stick around for a while ;)! Absolutely wonderful staff and such a wonderfully creative atmosphere for everyone to have a little fun!
Ashley U — Google review
I had so much fun here on my anniversary date! My boyfriend and I painted a big cookie jar together and we took a long time doing it (2.5hrs) but the time just flew by! Staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful! 10/10 would recommend for all ages, whether you like painting or not :)
Mira C — Google review
Such a wonderful experience. I will definitely bring my kids back for more painting fun. Very budgeted for our summer fun and they had varieties of prices to choose from. I took a little longer to paint my piece than my kids. So, they entertained my children. Terri even drove to the store to buy sidewalk chalk for my 5 year old because he got "bored", waiting on me to finish. Great ladies. Mary and Terri made such a fun outting for our family.
Randi H — Google review
If you haven't visited Outside the lines yet you should be making plans. Fantastic way to spend free time alone, with friends or children. Owners are not only friendly but always willing to give tips or explain new techniques. So many different things to choose from, every color you could want and many other supplies from stencils, stamps, and toothbrushes for speckles. Always my daughter's first choice if you let her choose what we are doing, and prices are great so I don't mind. We have tried a few places like this but none compare to Outside the Lines!

Breakfast restaurant
Billie's Country Kitchen is a casual eatery that specializes in American comfort food, especially breakfast dishes. They offer an all-day breakfast menu alongside other delicious options. The dining room may sometimes be closed, but that doesn't deter customers from enjoying the fantastic food served on outdoor stumps. The friendly host, known as the preacher man, provides great hospitality with engaging stories and even lends flower pots for stump dining.
Quite possibly the best biscuit we've ever eaten. This was our first time and he said we would drive the 1.5 hrs from home back there to get biscuits, let me tell you, he isn't wrong. We've already told family, you have to make the drive for this biscuit. He kindly included a brown sugar butter biscuit in our order and that alone would make me want to drive all the way back, so delicious. If you have the opportunity make sure you grab breakfast here, you won't regret it. God Bless
Crystal P — Google review
My husband and I come here whenever we can; our favorite breakfast by far! Mr James and his wife always treat us with the utmost love and respect, and always leave us with a smile on our face, a warmth in our hearts, and a belly full of delicious biscuits! Best breakfast, even better people. Bless the both of you 🙏

Came for the chicken biscuit and left with a great experience! Dinning room was closed, but that didn't stop us from eating the amazing food on the stumps outback! Preacher man was an amazing host, blessed our trip, told us awesome stories and even loaned us a flower pot for our stump breakfast! Don't miss out of the yummy chicken biscuit sandwich or the GIANT pancakes!!
Sheena B — Google review
Somebody needs to kiss that cook! One of the top 3 biscuits I have yet to have in my quest in finding the best breakfast in North Georgia! Probably the #1 on customer service!
Gary H — Google review
These biscuits are amazing! They're just like grandma's biscuits but twice the size! They don't skimp on the meat either. I love this place. If you live close by, stop in; you'll be back. If you're passing through this is a must stop. If you live far away and reading this for some reason, you're missing out. Try it, you'll like it.
Karen M — Google review
This is probably the friendliest place I have ever had a meal at, it was my first time ever going there but EVERYONE treated me as if I'd been eating 3 meals a day there for years.
Robert B — Google review
My advice is: don't miss an opportunity to eat here! Good folks, great biscuits, really reasonable prices! Enough said!

If you're looking for a delightful spot to enjoy a casual meal, Dawsonville Tavern is the perfect destination. This charming tavern offers a welcoming atmosphere where you can savor local pub favorites while soaking in the friendly vibe. The menu features an array of options, from tasty chicken sandwiches with fresh toppings to mouthwatering wings and grilled pork chops that are sure to satisfy your cravings.
Food was good, service was solid. Waitress, was patient, friendly and helpful, especially with 2 kids being silly. She is the reason I gave 5 stars, not 4. Food was good and came out quickly, my beer took a little bit to get, our glasses stayed full.
David H — Google review
Early 2018 I ordered the Ruben and I was a little disappointed that there could have been more meat on it and a little bit more sour kraut on it. Still good however. I ordered the hand cut fries and they were great (you just can't get those anywhere anymore). The service was great and the food came fast. Visit 11/7/18 11:30 am - Not a great visit. I was told to sit anywhere that I felt comfortable and did so but upon sitting down I noticed the table was not even wipe down and had crumbs still on it, but had fresh silverware on there as if to skip over the cleaning of the table. The waitress took my drink order immediately but unfortunately forgot to offer me a straw. I told the waitress I needed the minutes but instead of coming back to me in a minute she decided to fill the salt shakers at the bar and made that for project for the next 5 to 10 minutes until finally I had to wave my oversize menu in the air and hail her down to get my order. I ordered the country fried steak with the green beans, which I definitely would not recommend ever considering I paid $12 for something that I would have paid half that amount and gotten two sides right around the corner in the Dawsonville square. The meal looks adequate initially but when I cut into the country fried steak it was mostly breading on the outside leaving a very very small piece of steak inside and the green beans when I tasted them tasted like they put vinegar (that's right folks.... that's what I said) on them and when I told the waitress about them she looked at me very oddly and I said please taste them if you wish and the people next to me told me that when the waitress went by the lady said to me "O my gosh I could smell the vinegar as she walked past me." The waitress came back and said O they sauteed the green beans in "wine" (my question is WHY and I've never heard that before). I was offered a substitute for the vegetable, but it arrived as I had finished my country fried steak. I was ready to leave and had to flag down the waitress again and ask her for my check and a to go drink. I saw her walking through the restaurant a few times handing out checks and doing a couple of other things and finally when I kept staring at her she realized she had forgot my tea sitting on the bar and promptly brought it over at that point. There was really no excuse for the bad service at all because the place was not busy at all. I don't know that I would go back again. UPDATE 3/22/19 The place is no longer in business folks! I can't say i'm surprised with the quality of food they were putting out.
Linda F — Google review
Great environment, service was great. You can tell the owners are a daily part of running the business. Side salad was fresh, tomatoes, cheese, croutons, onions, etc. Live music on most Fridays and Saturdays. Chicken Philly was okay, just needed a sauce to really take it up a notch. Cheese, Chicken, onions, and peppers, just wasn't enough flavor. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.
Jeremy E — Google review
Awesome food and atmosphere. Great wings, grilled pork chops with backed potato. Great side salad too. Margarita Yum. Great service. If you want to watch a game this is the place to go. Great for families with kids too.
Debra B — Google review
The dining room is clean and sharp looking, real nice atmosphere for a tavern. I received very friendly service. I'd give it another chance, but the Chicken Philly I ordered wasn't tasty, something seemed off with the chicken.
Tim P — Google review
Dined here on 4/22/16. Had an awesome waitress. Service was good. All of our food was delicious except my 4 year old daughter's grilled cheese sandwich. It was brought out burnt to a crisp. We sent it back and they brought us a new one. The new one was barely cooked; the cheese wasn't even melted. The kicker...management didn't come to check on us and we had to pay for it.
Nicole P — Google review
Not a bad place to go and hang out. Food was tasty. My wife seem to enjoy herself and the food that she had ordered. We went to listen to a local band perform and it was all good. The place was clean and the staff was very attentive to our needs and our desires and they were extremely friendly I had no problem leaving a nice tip.
Barry R — Google review
Great service and a good variety of choices in the menu for a small tavern in Dawsonville. Chicken sandwich was tasty with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Only downside was the fries, which were brown, greasy and yet undercooked. Still a good place for a bite and a beer

Main Street Park in Downtown Dawsonville is a popular spot for various events and activities. The park hosts the annual Mountain Moonshine Festival & Car Show, featuring live music, craft vendors, and show cars. Additionally, it is the venue for the Christmas in Dawsonville event with a parade, market, and tree lighting. The park offers over 1.
This is the best playground my family and I have ever been to. We like Yellow Playground in Calhoun, GA. We like Dellinger Park in Cartersville. We really really like Ridge Ferry Park in Rome, GA. However, this one has everything amazing at those parks all stuck together here. They have a very long flying fox. It's like a Zipline but the overall structure is made from solid metal beams. It's amazing. They have various slides, a variety of swings, musical interactive pieces, a handicapped swing area, and various excellent spinners! This playground is hands down the best we have experienced. My daughters and I love it! ❤️
Nightglo A — Google review
Fun park with a HUGE playground if I was a kid I'd be in heaven. Super fun we mainly focused on disc golf and it's a bit confusing where hole one is as there are no signs. Hole one is by the racing hall of fame. You will need to go to the disc golf site or the parks website and they will give you a topside view.
Kelsey H — Google review
Awesome park. Excellent playground and amenities. Very enjoyable little 9 hole disc golf course. Signage and tee pads coming. The park is fantastically well maintained and a great park to bring the family too with great playgrounds and walking paths for bike riding and such. The layout provides a couple of holes you can really let loose on. The rest are short mid range and putter shots. Great course to work on your short game. Only takes an hour to play. We played the walking paths as OB creeks for added challenge.
Ben D — Google review
We love coming here to play. My kids especially love the zip line. I appreciate the fact that the playground is enclosed by a fence with only one exit. The bathrooms are right outside of the fence by the playground, and they are exceptionally clean. We also have fun using the disc golf course - we just had to watch out for the dog poo a couple of times. There are also nice picnic tables near the disc golf baskets, which seem to be a little dangerous, but we avoided hitting anyone.
Jennifer J — Google review
This large park is located behind the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame. It was a nice break after a chili dog from the cookout to walk around as the park has over 1.1 miles of paved trails that has benches all along. Lots of goings on here including a playground with a wheelchair-accessible swing, 9-hole disc golf course "Shiners 9" and cornhole boards. Three picnic pavilions with charcoal grills are available to reserved through City Hall. Fitness stations, dog park and more features are coming! Very cool park and well worth a stop when you're in Dawsonville.

It's a great place to go out.Take your young kids and enjoy a good peace people. That's full lot and I love the fact that they have exercise machines for you and for the disabled

We found this great little park recently and decided to stop by this weekend to check it out. It was just the perfect place to stop and enjoy some ice cream with the pups followed by a walk around the park. There is a great area for parents to bring their kids to play in the playground safely gated and very clean.

This place is one of my favorite parks for the kiddos. Until today. A little toddler got his finger caught in the space of this equipment. Could have broken it or cut it off if I had not ran over when I did. Never had any complaints about this park prior. Will report to county Monday Morning in hopes they get it fixed or removed. It’s a liability for the county and unsafe for kiddos.

Great job!!!! Myself and two other friends had come into town, on a rainy day looking for something to do. After asking for a tour, we found that the tours are only available on the weekend. After a very friendly conversation with Whitney, she took it upon herself and asked a person to come up front from working. Very quickly Adam Came up and did a really great tour with us! Man oh man this is how it’s supposed to go. Whitney’s self initiating to get us a tour, shows me customer service is not dead. In fact she demonstrated “ how to” great job

The museum showcases original race cars and hosts a drive-in theater where guests can enjoy videos from rear-end car seats. Adjacent to the hall is the Dawsonville Moonshine Distillery, inviting visitors for tours and tastings of their spirits.
This place far exceeded my expectations of a museum. They really went all out to show history of racing with all original race cars that won the races and set records. Very fun to see all the variety of cars. There is a neat drive-in theater you can watch a video from in rear-end car seats. Everything was well maintained and organized but free to wander wherever. There is a fun Daytona USA 2 Sega racing game you can play at the end of the museum in one of the cars. Very impressed overall and highly recommended!

Nestled just 20 miles southeast of Ellijay, Amicalola Falls State Park is a true gem in Georgia's natural landscape. Known for its breathtaking 729-foot waterfall—the tallest east of the Mississippi—this park offers an array of experiences for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. The name "Amicalola," derived from Cherokee meaning "tumbling waters," perfectly captures the essence of this stunning site.
Wow, what an incredible hike! The welcome center staff were super friendly and gave us some fantastic advice. The falls were breathtaking, and the weather was just perfect. We even made it all the way to the top and had a delicious meal at the restaurant. The food was amazing, and the views were simply stunning! This place is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

This place is truly a refreshing escape into nature. The moment you arrive, the sound of rushing water and the crisp, fresh air instantly create a calming atmosphere. The waterfall is absolutely beautiful as it cascades down the rocks, surrounded by lush greenery and seasonal colors that make the entire view feel alive. Standing near it, you can’t help but pause and soak in the serenity it brings. The trail leading up to the falls is well maintained, marked clearly, and lined with tall trees that offer both shade and stunning views. The gentle breeze, mixed with the earthy scent of the forest, makes the hike enjoyable and relaxing. Even in the fall, the play of golden and red leaves adds a magical touch, making every step of the journey worthwhile. What I love most is how peaceful and energizing this place feels. It’s the perfect spot to disconnect from the busyness of everyday life and simply be present in nature. Whether you’re hiking, taking photos, or just sitting quietly to listen to the water, every visit leaves you refreshed and renewed. This is one of those places you’ll want to return to again and again. 🌿💧🍂🍁😇

Amicalola Falls is absolutely breathtaking! The views are stunning from every angle — whether you’re looking up from the base of the falls or hiking to the top. The sound of the rushing water and the mountain air make it such a peaceful escape. We enjoyed exploring the trails, and the steps to the top are definitely a workout but completely worth it for the view! The park is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for all ages. There are plenty of picnic areas, beautiful overlooks, and friendly staff throughout the park. If you’re planning a visit, take your time to enjoy the scenery — it’s truly one of Georgia’s most beautiful spots. Great for a day trip, a weekend getaway, or just a little time in nature to refresh your soul.

The visitor center and gift shop were great especially the mini wildlife display! A huge thanks to Carla, who was so knowledgeable and friendly while helping us plan our route to the falls. The stairs up and down were a fun adventure with breathtaking views. This park is truly a peaceful, beautiful Georgia jewel. Can’t wait to return!

I had not been here since I was a child it’s become a beautiful state park! It was on the way back from a trip so I had to stop and catch a little hike to see the waterfall and I’m glad I did! The guest service in the lodge is outstanding too. Great place to grab some food to refuel afterward.

Absolutely love Amicalola Falls!!! My boyfriend and I come here several times a year. It's peaceful, beautiful, and just a wonderful experience. If you have never been I strongly recommend coming here! It's not too far to the base of the falls. If you're afraid of heights and don't want to climb the stairs, you can drive to the top, don't worry! However you experience it, it's worth the drive to witness this magnificent scenery!
Amanda S — Google review
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this park today. It was $5 to get in and it had a ranger station which was pretty impressive. They had information centers plus they had the souvenir section which was very well stocked. The rangers were very knowledgeable and friendly. There was a ATM on site and purified water stations by the toilets. They also had three Park stamps instead of one hours of collect patches in the wife collects postcards and magnets as well. Drive across the street from the ranger station up that road and come to your first parking space on the right. Then go down the walkway, not the stairs and about .3 mi you'll come across the middle of the falls. Then you get back in your car and go up to the top. Behind the ranger station is access to the Appalachian trail which is kind of neat. I would have liked to have hiked that but I'm too old for that now. The restrooms were very clean and we had a wonderful time.

Uncle Shucks is truly a gift to the community! Matthew, the owner, is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. We’ve been bringing our group of special needs adults here for years, and every visit is such a positive experience. Matthew and his team always welcome us with open arms, showing genuine kindness and respect. Not everyone takes the time to do that, and it means so much. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always makes sure everyone feels included. There’s so much to enjoy—hayrides, farm animals (from goats to turkeys), corn cannons, gem mining, and the biggest pumpkins! Plus, the food is absolutely delicious. We are so thankful for Uncle Shucks and can’t wait for our next visit!

I visited Uncle Shuck’s for the first time with my whole family, and it was an amazing experience! The entire place was so well organized and thoughtfully planned, with plenty of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. The corn maze was unique and such a great way for the whole family to spend time together. All of the staff and vendors were incredibly friendly, kind, and cheerful, which made the visit even better. We had a blast exploring, bought pumpkins and honey, completed the maze, and visited the farm animals. I highly recommend it—truly the BEST experience! I love North Georgia!!!
Thiago A — Google review
My family has been going to Uncle Shuck's since they moved to this location in 2019. We LOVE Uncle Shuck's! This fall we purchased the season passes. We go weekly and spend about 2.5 hours each visit. My toddler loves Uncle Shuck's! For kids they have the jumping pad, gem mining, tire mountain with slides, animals (goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys), corn cannon, bonfires, wagon ride, pumpkin patch, 3 mazes in the big corn and a kiddy maze. There's also a haunted maze that my husband and I use to do before we had kids. Love it! My daughter specifically loves the jumping pad, tractor ride, and looking at all the pumpkins. She loves sitting on the tractor by the pumpkin patch and pretending to drive it. My husband and I love doing the corn maze every year and solving the mystery. We always guess and take bets on the weapon, location, and the criminal. The pumpkin selection is also amazing! The prices are also unbeatable. The porta pottys are always clean. There's always running water, soap, and paper towels. It breaks my heart to read negative reviews. Uncle Shuck's is not an amusement park, it's a family fun farm. There's going to be lines. We have always felt safe at Uncle Shuck's with our 2-year-old and newborn. A goat bit my daughter but she stuck her hands through the fence AND there are signs EVERYWHERE with warnings! They genuinely do their best to provide a fun and safe experience. The staff is always kind and friendly. We have never left disappointed.
Lucybelle A — Google review
We always have an amazing time at Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze! Not only do they have a huge corn maze that you are certain to get lost in, but they have a really cool general store, a corn gun, a gay ride, and you can even roast s’motes. On the way out, don’t forget to grab a pumpkin! Highly recommend this place for the whole family!
Ernie A — Google review
I bought tickets for both corn maze and haunted trail. I arrived around 7pm and noticed a line forming for the haunted trail. I figure let's try do a small section of the corn maze before getting in line. I was told my the attendant lines usually last 20min-1hr before getting into actual trail. I got in line at 745pm and waited 2 hours before getting into trail. We got in at 9:45pm. The trail took 15mins to go thru and it was so crowded that the suspense and thrills were ruined because you can see the group ahead or behind us getting scares. By the time we were out it was 10:00pm, and the place was closed, but there was still a line of people for the haunted trail. The video below is of the line that we saw when we walked out of the trail. We didnt have time to go thru the rest of the corn maze. Also didnt see the pumpkin patch, hay rides canon shots or bonfire because we spent so much time just waiting for one attraction. What a rip off. The attendant should of really advised that i only had time to do one or the other. I tried to see if i can get a rain check to come back tomorrow to at least check out the cornmaze but then they said no. Also the one conssession stand that didnt have the longest lines also ran out of most of what they were selling. Way to be prepared for the weekend. They deserve zero stars.

We came to this farm after a very long time and glad to see that its still the same for fun. Our kids are older now so they didn't go to any activities. But there is plenty of things to do for kids like jumpy pad, farm animals( its not a petting zoo), corn canon and gem mining. Their corn maze is amazing. They have different activities and check points in the corn maze which kept my kids kept looking for more. This farm also have some eating spots like boiled peanuts, nachos, funnel cakes and different kinds of drinks. There is also a small shop for souvenirs. You can also do pumpkin picking here.
Faria K — Google review
it was pretty fun here. the corn maze was fun, both me and my husband enjoyed it. the lines were just really long for food and even the hay ride. we also enjoyed the pumpkin patch a lot and took nice photos

Fun Fall Experience for the Whole Family! Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch was a great place to visit — especially since it’s close by! We took my in-laws, who are visiting us, to show them some classic fall festivities in the U.S., and they really enjoyed it. The corn maze, wagon rides, and overall atmosphere were festive and fun. 🎃 The only downside was that it got quite dusty, especially on the pathways and around the maze, so I’d recommend wearing comfortable shoes and maybe bringing a mask or scarf if it’s windy. Overall, it was a wonderful fall outing and a great place to soak in the autumn vibes with family!

I accompanied my mother to the enchanting Jungle Paradise Daylilies garden located in the picturesque Ga mountains. The proprietor, Suzanne, has poured her passion and dedication into cultivating these stunning flowers for many years. The gardens are a sight to behold, leaving visitors awestruck. Suzanne graciously allowed us to name a newly grown hybrid, showcasing her generosity and love for her craft. My mother couldn't resist taking home some exquisite and distinct daylilies to enhance her own garden.
Took my daylily loving Mother to this beautiful place while we were vacationing in the Ga mountains this past week. She was in HEAVEN! The owner is precious and you can tell she has put her heart and soul into these flowers over many years. The gardens are breathtaking. She even let us name a new hybrid she had just grown! My Mother came home with some beautiful and unique daylillies to add to her garden. So very glad we came across this beautiful place.

It honestly felt like stepping into a fairytale — the garden was vibrant, full of colors and life, and Suzanne herself was just as magical. She welcomed us with so much kindness and warmth, making the whole visit feel personal and special. My sisters, husband, and I enjoyed every moment of the little tour she gave us. We even brought home some beautiful flowers, and they remind us of her peaceful garden. If you’re ever nearby, visiting Suzanne’s garden is an absolute must! 🌸🌿✨

My friends and I recently visited Amicalola Zipline & Aerial Adventure Park for an exciting weekend. We decided to try the level 3 zip line tour, which turned out to be a lot of fun. Our guides, Morgan and Elizabeth, were extremely friendly and helpful. They even assisted those in our group who had never zip lined before. I would recommend level 2 or 3 for anyone who wants more of a challenge, while level 1 is perfect for beginners.
A group of friends and I signed up for the Level 2 course and loved it. The two guides (Abby and Ben) were very friendly, helpful and took safety seriously. The course took just under two hours and never felt rushed. Some of the tree platforms were a bit nerve racking, but you will be secured to the lines at all times and that helped. Definitely consider level 2 or 3 for a better experience, because level 1 lines were over pretty quickly. We all had a great time!

Me and my friends had amazing time on this 4th of July! Originally we booked level 2 but we loved it so much so we end up doing all 3, with longest zip line Ralph ride at the end. What a view! We had great tour guides Andrew and Matthew, who gave us good directions what to do and how to be safe. Please read rules and listen what they say bc your safety its their priority. Great experience! 💚

Blaze and Ben were safe, smart, funny and really made the experience. We did this as a company team building event and it did not disappoint. Can’t recommend this enough. The views are breathtaking. The 2k ft zip at the end 🤯 - don’t take my word for it. Book it

We all had a fantastic time with Amicalola Zipline. Our guides were great at giving instructions to keep us safe and threw in a few jokes to keep things fun. Once our youngest puts on a few more lbs we will definitely go up to the next levels. This was a great starting experience!
April W — Google review
I have no other experience in this sport to compare Amicalola to but I thought this was an amazing zip line. I felt safe, well instructed, and overall no concerns. The views on Level 2 were great. Level 3 was out of this world as you zip along at a very high speed over quite a distance with views of the mountain valley and the varying heights of mountain tops.

My husband, Spencer, and I came here for one of our stops on our honeymoon and it was FANTASTIC! Our guides, Sarah and Ben, were soo knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and professional. They really have a way of making you feel safe while still having an amazing and fun time! I’m slightly afraid of heights but love all things adventurous so I was excited to sign up but a little nervous when the day actually came. Their dedication to safety and thorough explanation of everything made me feel so at ease. If you’re in the area and considering ziplining, don’t hesitate! Book here and you’ll have a wonderful time!

I visited the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area to relax and recharge. I purchased a fresh trout from the local IGA store along with butter and foil. Near the Amicalola River, I built a fire and cooked the fish. The area was serene, with only a few people present until sunset when I left. It's important to maintain the beauty of this region by properly disposing of trash.
Came up here for a little R&R. Bought a fresh trout at the local IGA store some butter and some foil. Built a fire and cooked my fish right next to the Amicalola River. They may have been a handful of people here and I was the second to last one to leave as the sun was setting.
Paul F — Google review
Good area for a quick hike and the Amicalola is beautiful scenery. The trail loops around and is moderately easy. About 3.5 total miles. The area that was cut many years ago is growing back. The river provides plenty of opportunity for swimming, tubing, kayaking, fishing. The summer weekends can get really crowded and also the fall around the fall foliage time. Winter and spring are not as busy. Also, the late fall and winter months are better hiking because the brush on the side of the trails is not hanging over across the trail. The pine trees are growing back creating more cover which should eventually help the weed growth.
FinnMedia P — Google review
Beautiful area, but pick up your trash. Keep Georgia beautiful forever. If you fish, camp, or just visit - take everything you brought with you, and leave no trace.

Creepiest place on earth. Too much meanness has gone on there. I always feel as if something malevolent is watching me. I dislike going during the day and will not go at night for all of the tea in China. I grew up around here and the legends and stories that come out of there would make your skin crawl. Great place to turn around and get gone from.

We were hoping the trails went a little further. The graffiti all over the place was very disappointing. We were looking for a nice safe place to walk our dogs, but with all the graffiti, I don't think that's the place for us.

This place is the best! The selection is overwhelming. I visited Rocky's last Spring and purchased an incredible Roger Corn face jug. Almost purchased a Carl Block face jug at that time, but didn't and regretted it. I just purchased a Carl Block face jug and had it shipped to my house. Tracey was great to work with and kept me updated. It was triple boxed, bubble wrapped, foam wrapped, and had lots of Styrofoam. Needles to say, it arrived in mint condition. I highly recommend this place!

I had the most wonderful experience at Around Back at Rocky’s Place! This hidden gem is full of one-of-a-kind folk art that speaks straight to the heart. I recently purchased this beautiful bear painting as a gift for a dear friend who has been one of my biggest supporters in business. I wanted something truly meaningful and the moment I saw this piece, I knew it was perfect. The atmosphere at the gallery is so warm and welcoming, and you can feel the soul behind every piece. If you’re looking for art with heart, or a gift that tells a story, I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you to Tracy at Rocky’s for helping me find something so special!

A treasure of a gallery, filled with striking artworks and most definitely worth a visit. Tracey welcomed us on our visit and she showed us around the gallery, answering all our questions about different artists patiently and expertly. We ended up buying a large work that required complex shipping arrangements, and Tracey was kind and efficient throughout the whole process. We'll be back soon!!!

One of our favorite places to shop for Folk Art Pottery. Face Jugs and paintings are great. Tracey is very knowledgeable about the potters.

Rocky's is the place you read about it the travel guides that sound so special and amazing. We have visited Rocky's place and make it a stop on all our visits to Georgia because they have the best and most complete collection of American Folk Art we've see in our travels. Rocky's is run by two amazing women that have forged strong bonds with their artists to ensure only the best items are offered all at a fair and sometimes steal pricing. Be sure to visit around back at Rocky's place if you love art and want a great experience!!!

I have wanted a painting by Cornbread for a long time. Recently I contacted Tracey at Around Back at Rocky's and she was wonderful! I received my painting on Monday and I love it. I hope to some day get to Dawsonville so I can see all the artists work at her gallery.

I love this place! So much to see, and the owners are friendly and very knowledgeable about all folk art. I could spend hours looking around and hearing the stories of the artists and their work. Worth the trip to the beautiful Georgia mountains to visit this incredibly unique gallery!

I love folk art and this place is like a museum. There are so many things to look at you almost dont know where to look. They specialize in works by cornbread but there is also some Howard Finster and Mose Tolliver and plenty of others. And the proprietor is a great lady.

Nice ramp, plenty of parking available. New ramp to dock. Dock is pretty shallow with the lake 4 or 5 feet below full pool. Has restrooms near the dock.

Rented the pavilion here for a birthday party. It has 6 large tables. It is set back from the parking lot and has a trail down to the water. We did have to contend with a large group of people standing nearby talking loudly. Two of the group showed up thinking they would use the pavilion until I mentioned that we had rented it. Outside of them being quite loud and standing nearby it worked well for us. The restrooms are a different story. You will want to bring your own soap, toilet Paper, paper towel and cleaning wipes if you plan on going to the bathroom. If there was a breakdown of areas to score I would give them a Zero. My eyes burned in the men's room from the smell of urine.
Daniel G — Google review
Launched and fished here with a friend, he caught a nice bag, I only got one. Only my second day of serious fishing in Georgia, so I'm learning. The ramp is good and sought lines are open, plenty of parking and access to a loading dock. Nice place to launch from.

My top 3 perks are No Parking Fee,Lots of Available Parking,Not Crowded!! I just wish there was more Picnic tables.
Joy H — Google review
This park has quite a view of the water and trees as they ambush and shove each other on the coastline. The close up perspective is one not often viewed unless by way of boat and thus is worth the trip. There is a 4 table port with bathrooms nearby that can be reserved. It's a boat ramp and a fishing hole. The downside to this park was the amount of trash that gets left behind and littered, as well as an unkempt bathroom without a method to dry your hands. Regular check ups and a well-built playground would be great here.

This is our go-to place when we want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every-day life for a little calm time.

Quiet in the early mornings, not so much in the afternoons
Nijah S — Google review
Despite living in Dville for 12 years, I didn't this park existed until today. This morning it was uncrowded, tranquil, shady, with well defined paths and plenty of room for a picnic or just a blanket and your thoughts. I'm so glad my son introduced me to this little perfect place.

Visiting from out of town and stopped by here to walk the dog. Nice walking path and felt very safe. Nice dog park also, very big. Highly recommend.

Love this park, but wish they had hiking trails.

Wonderful Park, for everyone in the Family! Kids play area with walking track around it. Skate park, Pickle Ball, Tennis courts, Football, Lacrosse and 1 1/4 track around the entire park. 3 Bathroom facilities, stadium seating with lights. Cant wait to see the next phase, softball complex, extended trails with bridges.
Kelle M — Google review
Great pavilion for events. Parking on a weeknight during soccer season stinks.
Ryan P — Google review
The park facilities are nice, nothing glamorous but in good shape. The reason it got the 5th star is because it is not busy and it's patrons are always pleasant with one another. It has an indoor gym, football field w/ track, baseball field and an outdoor pool (seasonal). Only flaw is that the batting cage area is not operational, I would be there 5 days a week if it were.
B S — Google review
Nice park with a new playground!
Carol W — Google review
Nice, quiet park to walk the dog! They have a walking/ bike trail that's about 8/10 mile around. Parking is all over the place because of the buildings and sports fields scattered throughout the park... So, most of the walking trails cut through the parking lots.
JAG3 — Google review
Its a very clean park with a great bike and walking trail. Berries grow in the summer there sometimes and its very kid friendly. Also i love playing pokemon go at this park. Overall, great experience and very well kept

Used his castings for my community garden for years. Always had one of the best gardens. High quality with 100% CASTINGS and no filler.

I will never buy anything from him again. He sent me his worst worms and then refused to do anything for me. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
