Farmers Markets
The Nuevo Vallarta Rivera Farmers Market is conveniently located within a short walking distance from Paradise Plaza Shopping Center in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit. Visitors can enjoy browsing through a variety of vendors offering handmade items, fresh produce, and delicious food. The market provides a pleasant atmosphere with ample shade to keep cool while exploring the different stalls. Additionally, visitors can expect friendly vendors and free parking at this lively market near the Marina.
Excellent Market. A good blend of local artisans and handicrafts and well are more basic souvenirs. Found a blanket I couldn’t find anywhere, and some wood pulp art that I couldn’t not find the the bucerias market. The cinnamon buns are to die for!
Alyce K — Google review
Canadian here. The best market around, quite large. Food vendors amazing. Not just the same old tourist stuff. But your in the tourist area so prices a more and haggling does not get much of a discount. Got better deals at our hut on the beach at our resort.
A X — Google review
Lots of vendors and conveniently located by the Marina. Vendors are friendly but expect prices to be noticeably higher than other mercados around PV. Wide spacing and masking by most provides a sense of comfort during times of covid.

Great little market with different food options. We went on the last day of the season, some tents were missing but I feel like we got a good taste of what we could see in the middle of the season.
Laura R — Google review
I came here for the hot food (the rest of my family went to get ingredients and clothes) - everything I had was amazing but the Arepas were the best. If anyone knows how I can find them outside the market, please please please reach out 🙏🙏🙏

Great selrction of products ; nice vendors; reasonsble prices; great breads and prouce but choice of food options

Gorgeous handmade products & food vendors. Worth the trip although definitely catered to tourists, so it's a little pricey.

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Playa Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta is a stunning three-mile beach located on Banderas Bay, known for being one of the best beaches in Mexico. The beach is lined with exclusive hotels and villas that are part of the resort community. Visitors can take leisurely walks along the shore all the way to the Ameca River, which separates Nayarit State from Jalisco State. The resort offers beautiful grounds with abundant bamboo, making it easily accessible and visually appealing.
Lots of space to spread out. Food and drink deliveries at the loungers. Occasional souvenir seller, but they are not pushy. Just be prepared for lots of sand before the beach.
Long G — Google review
As a member of 8 years, I was been sold on luxury and the promise of a theme park. I've yet to visit this incomplete theme park. It's still in construction. This resort is nice, and there is plenty of room to find a poolside spot or beach seat. The food is sub-par and way overpriced. It takes forever to get anywhere on this resort, and a taxi is 20 to 30 one way to town. The entertainment is sub-par as well. They host various nights at an area called Sanctuary that are quite boring. The sound system is outdated which also takes from the show. There were singers and dancers and it was cheesy and this one guy couldn't hit a note to save his life. Heard better kaeroke than this. We made reservations at their hibachi style dinner and it was way over priced, the food was so basic, and the cook does the same old jokes you get from a 3 star hibachi anywhere. The thing liked the most was room service. They came by and cleaned daily. Resort staff was nice. It's an older resort so there are many areas that need work. It rained alot and there was sheet rock falling off in some areas. Whatever you do dont do the member tour. It will eat up your whole day. The discounts they offer are not worth it. The wave pool and slide were closed half the time we were there. Also the lazy river was closed half the time as well.
Alex P — Google review
A wonderful resort getaway with top notch amenities. Golf, relaxing, great food, and craft margaritas were part of the daily activities. The staff is warm and welcoming!
Lynn L — Google review
At High n Low tide, lots of beach to play on, waves are playful, just enough to boogie board surf and family oriented. Sunsets are truely magical. Just a chill beach.
Patrick H — Google review
Beautiful paradise. Nature walks on floating paths and amazing pools. Wonderful restaurants. It’s not an “all you can eat” resort but that’s why I go there. Every restaurant has its charm with fine dining. It is not for the middle class, but it IS for upper middle class and above. Super safe. Every single worker and guest goes through an airport security style check prior to fully entering the resort. They give you complimentary airport transportation so no worries there. It’s not a timeshare, but it is a vacation club. I have gladly invested three times; each time upgrading my rooms. I want to spend 4-6 weeks there during the deep freeze of my winter in the U.S. I love that I don’t have to take care of a house in FL for example. Because this is on the Riviera Maya and not in Cancun, you’re only 25 to 40 minutes from the wonderful ecological parks of the Riviera. You have to check this place out. As a cherry on top, Cirque de Soleil is on the property.
Melody W — Google review
The property is rich in color and plant life. The pools are abundant and the collection of Restaurants, well its double digit. Perscisley 30. I've oboe experienced about 6 of the restaurant's. The food is tasty and priced well.

We “won” this Vidanta getaway at a charity auction — and I now believe the real charity would have been people warning us it might be cursed. From the over two-hour check-in (yes, over two hours), to the constant upselling disguised as “upgrading,” our stay was less “luxury vacation” and more “emotional endurance test with expensive snacks.” After being told our hotel selection was “sub-par” (how dare we want what we paid for), we were “upgraded” to a resort property so far away it may as well have required a connecting flight. The shuttles showed up about as often as solar eclipses, so we got to know the property well — mostly by foot. Guests everywhere looked like they were in various stages of regret, or near death. All we heard were complaints from everyone we met, too -- people mostly upset about the high-pressure sales that met us all at every turn. Even the staff, forced to greet you with their hand over their heart like hostages in a luxury-themed cult, couldn’t hide their despair. The food? Mediocre and mysteriously expensive. The gym? A charming 40-minute walk away — nothing says “wellness” like needing a cardio session just to get to your cardio session. Every “event” felt like a prank. Like the “sound healing” session that took place on a cramped bit of grass next to a busy sidewalk with constant construction noise, which I guess added a certain jackhammer chakra realignment vibe. Despite being located on what feels like several thousand acres, there was a rooster crowing 24/7 and a chorus of barking dogs to remind us that peace and quiet were sold separately. The crowning glory of this fever dream was the timeshare salesman who invited himself to breakfast with us and, upon hearing our polite “no” after hours of listening to him, ripped up his papers and had a full-blown tantrum. Nothing says “relaxation” like an adult man throwing a fit because you didn’t want to buy a lifetime of this misery. In summary: If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to spend a small fortune to feel trapped, manipulated, and serenaded by livestock — Vidanta is your place. Would not recommend. Would not return. Would not even wish upon my worst enemy (unless they enjoy construction noise and emotional manipulation).
Elizabeth B — Google review
Nice place to stay and enjoy the mix of luxury and nature. One fellow said "This is like a Jurassic Park resort". Night Par 3 Golf, nice restaurants. Vidanta should take care of the cleaning of the walking path "outside of the property along the Ameca River" Please instruct the children to use their sandals when going to the sea, the sand is always hot, seeing children cry because their feet burn is not pleasant. Better photos of the resort in other reviews.

Paradise Plaza Shopping Center in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit is a modern two-story enclosed mall with a supermarket and an array of shops and dining options. It's located near Paradise Village and offers diverse shopping experiences, from small clothing and accessory stores to jewelry shops catering to different budgets. The center also features a children's play area, native art, ATMs, and the convenient Sunset Market for various needs.
A very handy local indoor shopping mall. The “AMA“ restaurant located on the second floor is a must visit location. So many little nuisances will make your dining experience a real treat. Their tortilla soup was delicious along with coconut shrimp. Presentation ,service and food quality were all excellent. Make sure to wait for your end of meal surprise!!!! it’s worth waiting for😊

Normal mall with stores from clothes, shoes, jewelry, liquor, restaurants and a market! Playground for children’s Subway, McDonald’s , Dominoes, etc. I went to the liquor store but the lady were checking us ‘cause people can’t touch the bottles, so I didn’t buy anything there! At the other store they were very friendly!

We travel with our dog everywhere, she is a trained emotional support dog, we went for lunch and afterwards we were chased down by a security lady, demanding an ID for the dog, which we do not bring as we read some stablishments inside were pet friendly. They pushed us to the elevator and they were overall really rude. We wont be coming back for sure, and we recommend you dont.
Hugo C — Google review
Basic mini mall. A bit boring. Servicing Gringolandia Under occupied storefronts with about 50 % occupancy in FEBRUARY 2022. There are few fast food restaurants ( McDonald's, dominos pizza , Subway. Also a few more upscale sit-down eateries as well. A laundry service with a few do it yourself machines is tucked into the Southwest corner Sunrise market is the anchor tenant here. ( See my separate review ) A tequila and cigar shop is right by the front door . There is a US Consular office in the NW corner according to the signage. Touristy chotski and geegaw purveyors, a couple of jewelry outlets , a few clothing stores and some kiosks round out the large airy space
Markus “ — Google review
Really small baby Mall didn't have too much in there. Three or four people walking around really quiet and clean. Had mostly souvenir kind of shops and a couple food locations. Had cute statues in front of mall entrance.
Zidas T — Google review
Handy local shopping centre with a supermarket, souvenir shops among others and a nice indoor play ground for the kids. It’s got a Starbucks, McDonald’s and dominos pizza.
Shannon R — Google review
I love the laundry mat here they are amazing. I would also recommend that you stay away from the jewelry store joyeria La Piramid this place is a scam the jewelry is low quality and the owner is over charging I purchased a pair of earnings that broke as I was putting them on for the first time. When I returned to ask him to exchange them he tried to sell me a new pair and said no repair or exchange because I must have sat on the earnings. He was so rude.
A. A — Google review
This "mini mall" is located across, & next to several hotels in the area & is w/in walking distance. There is a quite secure Citibank-affiliated(I believe) ATM & bank just outside of the Mall (I wish I would have known earlier b4 getting charged a much higher atm fee at the atm in the hotel!) Inside the mall is a very well stocked market/pharmacy/liquor store - & their prices are reasonable. When I was there about 4 weeks ago the market would not accept dollars but did take VISA. If interested, inside the mall is an easy-to-use, simple, inexpensive LAUNDROMAT (I did a small load for 40 pesos, & 40 pesos for the dryer - basically 4 dollars and I was in and out in just a little over an hour). It was so nice to have this Mall so close - Google it if you're considering visiting Puerto Vallarta, & stay in one of the nearby hotels. P.S. at this Mall are also a Starbucks, McDonald's, Dominos & Subway...if you're missing those 😉.

Fantastic location with beautiful sceneries. Plenty of restaurants and boating activities. You should rent a little E-Boat and scout nuevo's channels, it's like Venice but at home.

The most Beautiful Marina in all of Mexico! The facilities are First Class . The entire staff are attentive , knowledgeable, warm , accommodating and genuinely proud of their work. And of course , none of it would be possible without the strong leadership provided by Management.

Don’t miss visiting this Marina. The name is a bit misleading because it’s so much more than just an amazing Marina. It’s located close to main roads and easily accessible by taxi and other modes of transportation. There are quite a few restaurants serving a variety of menus which are all great and reasonably priced. I personally like the Route 66 restaurant which is 50s /60s themed. If you are visiting it’s a great photo op place. Thursdays are also a must not miss day , that is when there are hundreds of venders all around the waters edge……don’t miss this day it’s worth the trip. Oh I forgot to mention the tequila shop… one of the best sample and buy stores you’ll find in Puerto Vallarta. Hope this review will help you to enjoy Puerto Vallarta.

Los Arcos, also known as the Arches of Mismaloya, is a popular day-trip destination in Puerto Vallarta. The area is famous for its natural beauty and biodiversity both above and below water. Hollywood movies like The Night of the Iguana have been filmed at this pristine beach, which offers stunning views and opportunities for snorkeling among colorful varieties of fish. Visitors can also enjoy kayaking or sailing while capturing the amazing landscape with their cameras.
Great spot to snorkel, many different types of animals, beautiful waters.

We arrived as part of a boat cruise. Only got to experience the snorkeling for about 15 minutes. What we did see was several school of fish although the water was a bit murky. We never went on land.
JetPhan 5 — Google review
We took a small boat tour out to the arches Very stunning to see up close and to enter into one of the arches Good snorkeling and paddle board area but I find the water too murky for good snorkeling The east side of the country (in the Caribbean off Yucatan especially by Puerto Morales) it much better both for clear water and amazing sea life in the barrier reefs Still better to take a boat ride around Los Arcoles than trying to see them from the observation point along the highway.

Insu Sky Bar is a hidden gem perched high above Nuevo Vallarta, offering breathtaking views that will leave you in awe. This stunning venue features an infinity pool and an extensive menu filled with refreshing cocktails and gourmet tapas, making it the perfect spot for any occasion—be it a casual snack or a celebratory meal. As the sun sets, the atmosphere transforms into something magical, with guests enjoying delightful food and drinks while soaking in the vibrant ambiance.
We picked this place to celebrate one of our visiting friends very special big birthday. We were not disappointed..the setting during the sun set and warm evening was perfect. Our service and food also was great. The place has a very good vibe and the evening we were there everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was a few other parties celebrating birthdays as well. We also thought the price if drinks and food was reasonable. The idea if tapas food menu seems perfect for that venue. They even brought out a birthday plate of sweets at the end...we will go again.

Wonderful! Located on top of the Marival with a stunning view of the sea. Even though it's part of the hotel, it's open to the public. They have lots of sitting and the setup of tables is nicely distributed for clients to have their own privacy. They have a wide selection of beverages and small plates to accompany your drink. Staff is friendly, attentive and nice. Must visit if you are in the area.

Insu Sky Bar is easily the best bar in Nuevo Vallarta and a must-visit for anyone in the area. While it leans on the pricier side, every penny is well worth it for the experience you get. The atmosphere is sleek and modern, with breathtaking views that perfectly complement the sophisticated vibe of the place. Whether you’re enjoying sunset cocktails or a late-night drink, the setting alone makes this spot unforgettable. The wine list at Insu Sky Bar is, without a doubt, the best in Nuevo Vallarta. It offers a wide selection of high-quality wines from around the world, catering to both casual drinkers and wine aficionados. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to help you find the perfect pairing for your meal or mood. Speaking of food, the menu features an impressive variety of tapas selections that are as delicious as they are beautifully presented. Each dish is crafted with care and bold flavors, making it easy to sample multiple options without feeling overwhelmed. Overall, Insu Sky Bar offers an exceptional combination of amazing food, an unbeatable wine list, and stunning views. It’s a top-tier spot that stands out in Nuevo Vallarta and comes highly recommended.

WOW ! What an amazing spot. The view is simply breathtaking. We ordered the sushi tempura rolls, the cesar salad, fried buttermilk chicken, the dim sum, the grilled cheese and both of us also had a cocktail. Everything was delicious and the presentation was on point. The portions are small , making it perfect to share and taste a bit of everything. Our bill was 950 pesos which was really a steal for this wonderful experience. I definitely recommend stopping by !!

Aquaventuras Park is a vibrant water park nestled in Nuevo Vallarta, perfect for families seeking a day of fun and adventure. This expansive venue features thrilling water slides like the Teeth Breaker and Happy Widow, alongside relaxing options such as a lazy river and inner tube rides. For younger visitors or those less confident in the water, the Little Water World offers shallow pools filled with engaging play features.
We had an amazing time with the dolphins. No personal camera is allowed, so if you want pictures you have to purchase the picture package in advance. We did the medium priced package which was a lot of fun. Thanks to the other reviewer I called to book and saved $200 compared to the website prices. You have access to the water park after. Is it the safest thing…. no, so use your best judgment on which rides to use or not use. This was a great day away from the resort to mix it up and have an experience like non-other!

This place a a dump! Needs serious maintenance. We all felt gross after being in the water. No toilet paper in the bathrooms. Drink refrigerators were almost warm and the cans smell a bit like mild. This place needs serious renovations to get back to something I would want to stay at. We all wanted to leave after just one hour. Avoid this place and find a nicer place that is maintained better. Nothing at all like the pictures!
Josh I — Google review
The waterslide park was very fun. I was a little disappointed that over half of the big waterslides were closed down because they were doing renovations. There are a couple rides that are not made for big adults. I’m a big guy and when you go down the one white slide, you bang your head quite a bit on the sides lol. The price is really good and there is food that you can get. The food and drinks are a good price. The park is a little bit rundown, but it was extremely fun for everyone in our party and there was 17 of us. I would definitely go again, especially once they have all the renovations done.
Tyler H — Google review
My bride and I visited Aquaventuras Park during our brief stay in Puerto Vallarta. We'd pre-purchased park tickets via Triple A / Carnival two weeks prior, and yet still endured a laborious 45 minute wait in a cramped, humid office while they processed our tickets. Even though we arrived at 11am on the dot, the stated start time posted on our tickets, we were asked to return at 3:45pm for the NEXT "Sea Lion encounter," aka the very reason we chose this park! After a few minutes of deliberations, we wound up receiving a truncated 15-minute, personal experience w/ the sea lion. The caliber of the sea lion show, however, was OUTSTANDING! POPEYE is the park's nine yr old, fun loving and bright eyed sea lion. He entertained us with special tricks, poses and even kissed each of us- On the cheeks. Special kudos belong to employees JESSIE and ANNIE. Jessie is Popeye's trainer/attendant, and you could see the loving bond that she's built w/ this dashing animal. Annie is the staff photographer who skillfully created a beautiful set of 55+ photos to commemorate our sea lion encounter for all posterity. Pro Tip- Aquaventuras is an aging water park, in need of a couple coats of paint and some general TLC. Also, the intake procedures -where you've up to five employees rather aimlessly congregating behind the counter while only ONE employee helps check customers in- could be tightened up. But if you're patient and willing to look beyond the park's need for a face lift...then you'll enjoy yourselves.
Scott W — Google review
This place is not good. Their website sets a high expectation and we were really excited for our visit. On arrival it was immediately clear this was not going to be the experience we were looking for. All the paint on the floors; walls, slides, signs, changing rooms, lockers, everywhere, was faded, flaking off or missing altogether. The slides were in really rough shape. More than half the slides weren’t even open. Those that were open, looked and felt unsafe. You could feel the joins in the slide sections as you went down, way more than you should. The walkways up to the slides were uneven, chipped and dirty. The slide structures were all rusty and corroded. They can’t have been safe. The inflatable rings needed for several of the slides were very tired looking and most had numerous repair patches on them. There was a lot of trash strewn about the place as well. The concession stands were completely lacking. 3 of the cream freezers were completely empty. The one freezer that did have something it looked really unappealing. Changing rooms weren’t particularly clean and many of the cubicles were missing a privacy curtain. The only section of the park that appeared to be well presented was the dolphin encounter experience area. This is obviously where they make their money so they are neglecting all other areas of the park. The waterpark needs to be closed and given a serious overhaul in all areas before it is fit to be open to the public. Until that happens, I would avoid this place at all costs.

Nor really worth it. Not safe for the kids. Not well maintained. I guess for 70 dollars you may at least do a new painting yearly to make it look attractive. The dolphin show was short but not bad. Kids' attractions stairs are concrete and steel as in the pic which makes them completely unsafe. I left early because it was really boring.
Mohamed Y — Google review
This was amazing, my kids had so much fun but my only concern is that is is slippery in some places so be careful and have fun! And it was a good deal for tickets and the wait times were very short and I visited on the weekend.

Great place, felt the rides and activities were very safe. The Royal Dolphin Experience was phenomenal. However, they don't make sure you're signed up for all the activities you pay for. We didn't get to do Ziplines because they had one time slot and we missed it. I have 2 8yo that were very disappointed. They also hit you with very ridiculous photo fees AND do not let you take pictures. Visit was 4Jul and park was not crowded at all but I would worry about coming when it's too crowded.

MAIZUL RESTAURANTE offers a stunning view of the Nuevo Vallarta Marina, making it a perfect spot for enjoying exquisite cuisine. The restaurant is known for its high-quality seafood and excellent service. Some popular menu options include shrimp-stuffed chiles and shrimp in coconut sauce. Additionally, the restaurant's proximity to nightclubs like La Condesa Nuevo Vallarta provides opportunities for lively evening entertainment.
Gorgeous view of the marina, nice breeze and nicely decorated. Chilaquiles were beautiful and the chicken marinated and flavorful. Interestingly not very spicy green sauce although very tasty. Asked for a little kick and they brought a FANTASTIC, smokey chile ancho/poblano paste. SOO good. Tasty smoothies (liquado) and service was top. Will be back for sure. Great prices make this a must-go for breakfast or lunch.

The food was amazing. The presentation the flavor was outstanding. The vibe was great with live singer down the way. This was definitely some of the best food I have had in puerto Vallarta. The Agua Chile was a flavor bomb and the panna cotta desert was to die for !

We really enjoyed Maizul. Our waitress was awesome allowing us to order from the supper menu - a little before the changeover. Food & drinks were awesome - prices were spot on - less than the resort prices and the food was outstanding. We especially loved the little mascot Tequila. We are cat lovers.

Vallarta Adventures Nuevo Vallarta is the top tour and activity provider in the area, offering a diverse range of adventure-based tours suitable for all ages. From dolphin and sea lion programs to luxury yacht excursions with snorkeling, island exploration, extreme zip line adventures, sailing and scuba diving, sea safaris, off-road expeditions, surfing safaris, whale watching and snorkeling - they have it all.
We went to Rhythms of the Night. Right away the organization is excellent. It was crowded and there were multiple boats docking at the destination, but we were immediately welcomed and served drinks. We never felt rushed either. The show was excellent and the dinner after was completely delicious. We loved being in the jungle next to the ocean. Very special experience!

We had a quick stop here on a bike ride from our hotel. It was fun to see the dolphins swimming around and doing some tricks. I really enjoyed holding the different exotic birds they had on site. The bird handler was very friendly and knowledgeable.

My daughter and I visited Vallarta Adventures this afternoon to experience the dolphin connection, we decided to upgrade to have the Sea lion encounter as well! We were pleasantly surprised with how well orchestrated the whole visit was for us. We had our time with our marine mammal trainer, Karen and got to meet the adorable, not quite 3 year old, Yoko! Karen was very kind, shared a lot of good education about dolphins and we had such a memorable time with Yoko! We also had our own photographer that came with us to both adventures, Frank! Fantastic photos and videos!!! My parents were able to watch in the observation deck and the staff were very accommodating for my mother in her wheelchair. We took a short water taxi ride over to another close-by location to see Rex, the 15 year old Sea lion and Andrea, his trainer. We had such a fun time snuggling, laughing and getting kisses from Rex. Such a big teddy bear of a guy!! I would highly recommend this company and these two adventures. It was the highlight of our trip!!! P.S. I don't have the professional photos back yet but I did get to see them all. They were fantastic!

Drivers Phillipe and Jesus made the day so comfortable. Guide Chema was beyond expectations with his knowledge and friendliness. He made the day so enjoyable and I would actually wish to book more tours led by him if I could choose. The guides really made the day exceptional. This was our first time doing a Vallarta adventure and we were shocked at how good it was. So well organized, clear itinerary and leadership through the day, the lunch was delicious and we were treated so well. We recommend doing this Sam Sebastian dsy

Nice excursion to a quaint little village in the mountains of the sierra madre mountains. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the town and area. The trip was bumpy with a lot of winding roads. Got to see visit a small tequila distillery and sample some of their products. Then off to the village for some good food and drinks.

We have been going to Paradise Village for 18 years and have never been disappointed. It’s home to us. We have traveled everywhere and each year we spend about 2 1/2 weeks every year there. Never get tired of going. It’s our happy place. You can’t go wrong with buying a time share there.

Played El tigre in early November 2023. Course greens were not in the best shape, a lot of dead spots and patches. Was expecting prestine conditions after paying a premium of 420 CAD for 18 with cart, rentals, and two sleeves of Titleist AVX. When I spoke to staff after about returning one of the sleeves (unused) back, they said it was too hard for them to do so they couldn't do it. I ended up up emailing the GM asking for a partial refund given lazy staff and inadequate playing conditions. He said no refunds and said he would only refund the sleeve of balls. The clubhouse was nice, the rental set was good, and the staff on course were pleasant. However, I won't be returning as I expect premium course conditions if I'm paying for a round as expensive as that.

Great spot for sushi. Gluten free options if needed. They made gluten free rolls specifically for my high maintenance gf self. Gluten free soy was available. My wife had the chicken salad and was huge and she enjoyed.

Very cool environment with their mushroom statue things. Brought my grandparents here as a thank you for hosting us all week. Cucumber salad and fried ice cream were my favorites. Fresh fish was high quality.
Avery N — Google review
I was very excited to try this place here, as I had such phenomenal experiences in Cabo; however, I spent the better part of yesterday night and the entirety of today with VIOLENT food poisoning. Why 4 stars, then? Sushi was delicious in terms of flavor: dynamite scallop dish was phenomenal, but the salmon was questionable (I'm pretty sure that's what did me in), rolls were very flavourful. Stick to more local sashimi and maybe this problem could be avoided... Overall, I'm a disappointed re the salmon as our server personally recommended it (I'm from BC, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to salmon). The drinks were wonderful and beautifully crafted. Service was top-notch as was the atmosphere/decor outside. You can watch the fish in the pond while dining.

Amazing food! So vibrant and flavorful. One roll was better than the next! Loved the Sake Lemon and the Maguro lime. The spicey Tuna appetizer was amazing!! So good! So so good!
Donna F — Google review
A very fun experience! Unlike most high quality Japanese food, which really highlights the fish, this place is more about the sauces and fun combinations. If you know that going in, I think this place is worthy of trying for sure. Without even dipping my rolls in soy sauce, they were already dripping it. While more soy was used than id prefer, the tuna tostada was still my favorite dish of the night.
Steven O — Google review
Three of us at dinner there a couple of times. Our waiter Manuel spoke excellent English and provided superb service. We enjoyed the food so much that we brought a couple of Yellowfin Tuna and Bonito that we had caught earlier the next day for them to prepare for us. They surprised us with some amazing concoctions. We were so stuffed. Best part is the total bill was very reasonable. Will be back whenever we’re in town fishing.

Gosh I wish I knew what this food tasted like. I ordered on Uber Eats, and was so excited. I rarely spend more than $5-10 on meals, but the total was nearly $50 and I left a 100 peso tip, as i have lots of experience in the service industry and understand the difficulty. I don't hate the driver nor the restaurant, but Über Eats refused the refund, multiple times. Imagine a billion company refusing to refund $50. Outlandish behavior.

Hotel quality sushi basically. Nicksan prides itself at being a high quality Asian food restaurant but since years ago that I went and now. Nothing has changed for the better. The food is bland, boring and very salty. The service is non existent with a lot of waiters all chit chatting and looking somewhere else. The restaurant is falling every time I visit there is water dripping from the ceiling. The chairs are nasty and napkins are old. Try something else.

Guests can enjoy the beautiful landscaping along with attentive service while savoring delicious meals.
Excellent choice for this resort area - beautiful landscaping along a long approach walkway, gorgeous covered outdoor sunset-view dining, lovely architectural accents everywhere. Plenty of staff, who are polite and attentive, service was slow but that didn't matter because the ambience was so pleasant. Nicely presented dishes with great flavor. Romaine (wedge) salad was flavorful and presentable. The salmon with dill and fennel (not basil as listed) was subtly flavored and delicious. The beef fajitas were amazing, especially if you ask for "mucho picante" sauce. The orange-infused churros with 3 sauces was a real hit at our table. A really great evening out.

I'm reviewing this because of the dinner service that we got on our last day at this beach club restaurant, Normally, the atmosphere and service were super great for the last 10 days we stayed. Since we are vegan, it's unlikely to get a choice of food. But the servers and the management noticed and offered us a day before to cook something special for next day dinner, and they made it with a passion. The Manger bring the main chef his name is (Victor) on our table and explains us with interpreter I can't catch the name of the food(attached the pictures)but explains what kind of dishes will make for us found out one of the best foods we had on this entire trip. Thank you again for making us so happy and special.

Definitely a beautiful and elegant spot for lunch... so much so, my wife calls it "White Lotus". Our server on our latest visit was friendly and well meaning, but somewhat amateurish. Nonetheless, our excellent Pina coladas came out quickly, but as usual, the food took ages. I'm puzzled as to why the food always takes so long here since we usually get here at the 1PM opening time when it's not so busy. This time the food took so long I forgot to take pictures! But who cares when in these surroundings. Despite that, the food was quite good. I had an excellent spinach and avocado salad. Followed by the equally tasty shrimp sope. My wife got a lovely Mahi Mahi sandwich... good but a disappointingly small amount of fish on a large bun. Our friend ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, which he was happy with. Highly recommended for a leisurely lunch in paradise.

This place is amazing, the service is far and away the differentiating factor. Ruben (our host) covers the beach area and frankly is the person who had us coming back. We paid for the beach pass for 3 days, solely because his attentiveness and warmth made us feel like royalty. I don’t think my wife or I ever had empty hands. Thank you to the staff - and thank you Ruben for making us feel special. Also- individual prices are very decent, nice facilities (I’d say midway between a Ritz and a Westin). Solid food.

We were in Puerto Vallarta for 10 days and went out for dinner every night. The dinner at Mozzamare was by far the best. Everything in the manu was delicious, including the tomate with cheese salad, linguini with seafood and fajitas. The churros come with different sauces, and they were also great. Service and ambiance were superb.

Have been here twice. First time was an eye opener WOW!!! Beach side location, casual but lively atmosphere. Food and service was great. Second time it was very disappointing. Service sucked - Big time. Waited over an hour to be seated, no one checked on us or asked if we wanted more drinks. The food was nowhere near as good as first time maybe because it was later or they ran out of stuff? I will say, the location and views from the restaurant were out of this world. Stunning and spectacular. So even if you don't dine, go for the viewing experience at night
Ron I — Google review
This is my review of Mozzamare, a restaurant within the Marival Distinct resort, where we recently stayed for several days. I was thoroughly impressed with the place. The service was outstanding, characterized by exceptional politeness and professionalism. I would like to give special mention to a few staff members. Victor, who served us at the beach, was prompt and knowledgeable. He even introduced us to a delicious new cocktail milkshake. Israel Lomelin, who attended to us during dinner, was notably polite and precise, ensuring our meals were served on time. Many others at the resort also merit high praise. However, our experience with the food was mixed. Initially, we enjoyed the rack of lamb, which was exceptionally well-prepared. But on subsequent evenings, it was served undercooked, for which I find no justifiable reason. That said, other dishes were delightful, such as the corn chowder soup, mozzarella-cloud salad, and the velvet cake. And let's not forget the view – the sunsets are gorgeous, with each evening presenting a different spectacle. The ambiance is further enhanced by the vibes of live music, making the experience unforgettable. Overall, it was a great experience with just a few areas for improvement.

Shopping
Galerias Vallarta Shopping Mall is the main shopping destination in Puerto VallartaRiviera Nayarit, offering 73,000 square feet of retail space spread across two floors. Visitors can enjoy a stunning view of arriving cruise ships while exploring a variety of shops catering to both cruise-ship passengers and Mexican visitors. The mall features two escalators, restaurants, parking facilities, a 12-theater cinema, and a fast-food court with popular chains like McDonald's and Starbucks.
A great shopping experience in Puerto Vallarta! Galerías Vallarta is a modern and well-organized shopping mall, offering a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options. Whether you're looking for fashion, electronics, home goods, or souvenirs, you'll find plenty of great choices. The mall is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, making it a comfortable place to shop and explore. There’s also a good selection of dining options, from quick bites to sit-down restaurants. The cinema adds a nice entertainment option for those looking to relax and enjoy a movie. With ample parking, a great location, and a welcoming atmosphere, Galerías Vallarta is highly recommended for shopping, dining, and entertainment in Puerto Vallarta!
Nael C — Google review
Before this modern shopping mall was built, options in Vallarta were quite limited. Nevertheless, the city has always been a wonderful place. This mall has made life more convenient for both locals and tourists, offering a well-rounded selection of shops and services. It features a spacious, bright, and clean underground parking area. The mall has also become a popular gathering spot, with many people enjoying their time here, especially at Starbucks.
G W — Google review
We visited Galerías Vallarta Shopping Mall on August 7, 2025, during our final day in Puerto Vallarta. With our hotel checkout at noon and no need to be at the airport until 4:30pm, we were looking for somewhere to pass a few hours comfortably. The hotel didn’t offer an air-conditioned lounge or restaurant area, so we headed to the mall—and it ended up being the perfect call. The mall is clean, modern, and (most importantly) air-conditioned. It has a nice mix of familiar brands and local shops. Food prices were about the same as in the U.S., but we did find a few good retail bargains with a little digging. A hidden gem here is the food court balcony, which offers sweeping views of Banderas Bay and the surrounding city. We grabbed lunch, enjoyed the shade, and just took in the view. Super relaxing. Plenty of seating too. If you’re between flights, killing time before a check-in, or just want to escape the heat for a bit, Galerías Vallarta is a great place to do it.

The security guards checking your bags on the way out of the port will confiscate shells that you purchased from the store. It's a scam. When you try to show a receipt they call a guy over with a machine gun. Do not spend any money here do not get off the boat. Worst experience in Mexico.
Trevor D — Google review
Nice clean mall. Many of the individuals did not speak English in the stores, but tried to be helpful. There was nothing exceptional about the food court, but I thought it interesting that the mall had a casino inside.
Valerie S — Google review
Typical North American mall. Very large and very clean we parked at neighboring Walmart to get some cold drinks then decided to just walk over...there’s a small fee to park underground in this mall by the way! It’s nice and clean with some decent shops. The area surrounding the mall is very busy as it is across from the cruise ship terminal.
Louise B — Google review
It was nice, but clearly a place for locals and not tourists, even though it's right across from the cruise port. I looked for some tourist type things and a Valentine's Day dress, and had zero luck. So we went to Chili's and had egg rolls and looked at the cruise ships! Lol!
Debby P — Google review
Nice big, clean, and open feeling mall. It is right across the street from the cruise ship terminal so there is always something going on. We went to Chili's for dinner and we were able to sit at a window and people watch. The mall is kept cool and there are a lot of stores and fashion places. No great deals my friends as this is tourism based shopping. They do have a large selection of food and beverage places. There is also a lot of stuff for kids to do at this mall

Outdoor shopping mall with beautiful gardens and high-end brand-named stores. Plenty of small food kiosks and sit-down restaurants. At night they occasionally have a pop up farmer's market with artisan foods and crafts. Buskers and other entertainment for families near the theatre. Plenty of clean restrooms throughout the mall.

It is a very nice mall! Very clean and well organized. Excellent location, the shops are within walking distance from a lot of the nearby hotels, and very accessible by walking, taxi, and by bus! This is an outdoors shopping mall, so time is very important for deciding the best time to go. I recommend going in the late afternoons when the sun is not as strong. The mall is very modern, very Americanized. Most of the stores are also in the United States! This is not a good place to buy souvenirs, prices are just as high as in the States. You can find better prices elsewhere! It is a good place to walk around, eat some food, relax, and enjoy a hour or two walking and browsing through the stores! I took pictures of some of the store I have not seen in the states!

This beach is great. It’s not overrun by tourists and has plenty of space. It’s not far from centro and , If you’re lucky, you’ll see a whale or two also! (In the right season) It has a little beach restaurant, jet ski’s for hire and massages on the beach. Perfect for a escape from the crowds.
Simon M — Google review
Pretty nice beach. It's not as crowded in the office season but of course that will change in the fall and winter.
Abigail M — Google review
Beautiful beach with stunning sunsets and not too crowded, which makes it feel peaceful and relaxing. Just a heads up…the shore looks sandy, but once you get into the water it’s actually a mix of sand and rocks. If your feet are sensitive like mine, water shoes are a good idea. Also, there aren’t vendors nearby, so bring your own drinks and snacks. Still worth visiting for the views and calm vibe!

A beautiful and peaceful marina! Marina Los Peines is a fantastic spot to enjoy the ocean views, watch the boats, and take in the relaxing atmosphere. The area is clean, well-maintained, and offers a great place for a stroll or just to unwind by the water. The location is convenient and not overly crowded, making it a perfect place to enjoy some quiet time away from the busier parts of the city. The sunsets here are stunning, and it’s a great place for photography or simply soaking in the natural beauty. If you're looking for a scenic and tranquil waterfront spot in Puerto Vallarta, Marina Los Peines is a must-visit

There is convenient and easy parking for $25 MXN. There is also a small port fee of $41 MXN per person for boat travel. Make sure to bring cash. The iguanas were a cool bonus!

We had an excursion out of this Marina on the LaBamba, Captain Adon and his son were the best hosts they took us out and showed us some sites and luckily were able to see some humpback whales and on to a beach restaurant where we had some fabulous food. Definantely recommend getting reservations on this boat for a guided tour. you can find them online, they also do fishing excursions.

This beach is beautiful with a few rocky areas. There are lots of venders in this area so if you want peace this is not the best beach for you (try Los Camerones). There is not a lot of shade. There is only one area with tall Palm trees that gave shade and this was in front of the Friendly Vallarta Hotel. There are a few areas that it looked like you could rent an umbrella and one vender was carrying umbrellas for rent.

Swim with Dolphins
Dolphin Discovery Puerto Vallarta, located within Aquaventuras Park, offers a range of programs for interacting with dolphins and sea lions. Visitors can choose from four different programs that vary in the level of interaction with the animals. The experience allows guests to swim with well-trained and gentle dolphins, creating unforgettable memories for families and individuals alike. While some visitors found the photo packages expensive, others recommend negotiating directly with the company for a better deal.
Very cool place. A historic relic of a pool with slides. Don't forget the beautiful Dolphins! Food was okay too.

Roberto R — Google review
Dolphin experience- I contact the company directly and got a better deal. I would suggest that. In addition, I had already seen a lot of people complaining about the cost of the photos; so when i checked in and the lady offered $90 for a package I was sold! In addition we were the only ones in the group that took family photos, which made us stick out, but also felt smarter because we didn’t have just individual photos. It’s about being smart when you book excursions like these 😉. Everyone was super friendly through the park. My daughter got scared at one point and just sat on the sidelines, but because the photographer knew we got the package beforehand she took extra photos with my daughter in it. The trainer was super friendly and accommodating to her fears and the group of people we were with, were also encouraging to her: it was a great experience over all. Other stuff at the park- You should note that if you get the dolphin package, you should remember to do the other activities you get free with it; like zip lining because I didn’t pay attention to the last ride, and we missed out on it. My kids; ages 10-12 had fun going down the slides with the tubes. It was over all a wonderful experience and worth it. Storage locker - You have to put a $50 peso deposit in cash, but they will take any denomination $50 and above and mark it in east their book. It is fully refundable once you return the key; so essentially the locker rental is free.
Alexis R — Google review
It was the most amazing time of my life. The Dolphins are very well trained and passive they're no threat at all. It was pretty amazing to be in the water such a big animal. The Dolphins were very gentle and treated all of us with a lot of respect. I was amazed on how strong they were in the water. They pulled us through the water as if it was nothing. I definitely recommend this to anyone that goes to Puerto Vallarta. Like I said it was the most amazing time of my life.
Aaron W — Google review
We had a fabulous experience swimming here with the dolphins! The kids loved it and so did the adults. The photos the photographer took are fabulous, but be aware you have to purchase a photo package as you can't bring your camera.

Pepe the Sea Lion was so sweet! He was well behaved very smart! He gave us sea lion hugs and kisses and he even sang for us! Maria and Jessica we’re great handling him with us. They helped us get some great poses for some awesome photos. Miriam was our photographer and she got all the good angles! I’m very pleased with my visit and i highly recommend this excursion. PePe is the cutest!
Sheena B — Google review
The dolphin experience was fun. They were very accommodating to our 6 year old who injured himself the prior day and was advised to stay out of water due to his injuries. They made the experience special for him too. We really appreciated that. My complaint is that we spent a lot of money on a picture package and yet I haven't received the email with the pictures. They told us 24 hours but that was July 4th and still no pictures. So I have to sort that out yet. They also decided to take a picture with a sea lion which of course wasn't part of the almost $200 I spent on a picture package. I felt annoyed by that with the amount I spent and they wouldn't slip in 1 more picture. We didn't use 2 of the 4 free lunches because as an adult I didn't care for a hot dog or pizza, so they really made money off of us. Only my husband and daughter used the Waterpark as my son couldn't. Overall good experience but I am still upset about this picture situation.

Water & Amusement Parks
Splash Parque Acuatico Vallarta is an entertaining and playful waterpark that boasts a range of pools, slides and attractions including a pirate ship. It's perfect for families with children of all ages as there are options for both little kids and older ones. The park also has an impressive selection of marine life such as dolphins, sea lions and even sharks to observe or interact with. Additionally, guests can enjoy refreshments at the tiki bar while taking in the aquatic scenery.
This was a highlight experience for me. My first time in beautiful Mexico and I hope to return, but swimming with Dolphins was sooo amazing! Thank you Tom Cruz for helping me get tickets. I was told The trainers treat the dolphins with compassion, and I was so happy to witness it. The park offers a full water park with various activities, food, and encounters with marine life. First we were entertained by the dolphin show, and then we were invited to swim with them. This was magical. The amazing trainer guided me to kiss the dolphin to which mi amor (Javi the Dolphin) happily obliged, hugs, dancing, feeding and just delighting in swimming alongside them. I loved every second of this experience. I forget the trainers name, started with S, but thank you to you and your team. Thank you Poncho for the photos, thank you Estrella and Mariella who worked in one of the food places helping me with my necklace, a cab, and the most delicious chocolate cake. The staff are amazing at this place. Perfect for families with kids, and big kids like myself who love to live the inner child dreams. Special thanks to mi amor, Javi the Dolphin.

Terrible experience 😪 I was charged $90 pesos for a Locker and I wasn't told $50 was a deposit. Did not get my deposit back I was to worried about getting my ID back. I called saying I didn't get my deposit back the lady on the phone was like swing by. So I did but when I get there the dude manager was like nah blah the lockers at $90 kick rocks
Noah C — Google review
While the price was affordable, my small children didn’t have a great time due to the bucket of water that blocks the entrance to all of the children’s slides. It splashes out water while filling up making it too intimidating for my 2 and 4 year olds. The larger slides for kids 8 and up don’t have enough water to keep momentum. The shark exhibit is too cloudy to see the shark. My kids did enjoy seeing the dolphin show.
Amanda T — Google review
What an awesome place! Went here not expecting much BUT We were pleasantly surprised!!! The dolphin show and sea lion shows are great. The slides are a blast. No lines which is wonderful. Great for kids and adults. We loved that the price is the price. What you pay for admission allows you to do all the things they offer. The only things extra are food, drink and if you choose to rent a tube or buy photos of you and the dolphins or sea lions and even that is a really great price. Very pleased!!!
Kali B — Google review

Playa Bucerias is a charming coastal town with a thriving local art scene, featuring galleries showcasing the work of talented artists. The Mercado de Artesanias is a must-visit for handmade crafts and souvenirs. The beach offers a different perspective, with kitesurfing adding to the picturesque view of sea birds and kites dancing in the sky. While the beach is less crowded and perfect for long walks, it's important to note that the undertow can be strong.
What a nice beach! Not too busy (Mid March). Gorgeous white sand, and many nice places to have a cocktail and eat. Felt very safe.

The beach is long and not too crowded! You can walk for a long time without running into rocky sections. The waves are fun, but not too treacherous since there’s no rocks to crash against. There are so many cool birds, too. Mostly pelicans and cormorants and the egrets! I’ve loved exploring these clean beaches.

Beautiful beach. A very long beach. Lots of restaurants and bars.
B M — Google review
Kitesurfing! Happened to visit during a perfect windy condition day. Scores of surfers filled the sky with their kites which made for a beautiful dance of sea birds and kites lofting on the currents. Spectacular. A walk on the beach lends a completely different perspective than a walk on the tchotchkes mew maw boardwalk. I highly recommend taking the pedestrian friendly beach. So much more to see. The wind also stirred up the surf which tossed battered sea life onto the tide-line. Along the sand there are eateries, food vendors and massage artists. Participate. You won’t regret it. Bucerias is known for their delicious oysters. They’re plentiful and families sit and shuck and slurp down dozens of them. In case you forget your shucker….. there are stands with all the fixins’ and bushels of cheap oysters. Get a massage for $400mx. An entire hour of blissful body pampering with ocean breezes and the sound of the waves to lull you into perfect passive perfection. If you have an entire day, rent an umbrella and chairs (inexpensive) and enjoy the sunset. There is a bus that will get you here, but I recommend paying to Uber or taxi from PV. Take a day to enjoy this soft white-sand, swimmable beach.
