Museums
Tel Aviv Museum of Art is a renowned museum featuring an international collection of modern and contemporary art, along with a captivating sculpture garden. Situated on the eastern edge of Tel Aviv, it is part of the new central business district in Sarona Market. The museum was established in 1932 and has grown to become one of Israel's largest and most significant art institutions. Visitors can explore various departments showcasing Israeli art, modern art, photography, design, architecture, and more.
Tel Aviv Museum art was great, it has many of the modern impressionists and European (Artist) Jew's in the collection which was wonderful to see. There was plenty on offer to see and I would recommend a visit here if you enjoy the visual arts.

I love this place. The building itself is original and the atmosphere is welcoming. I come at least once a month to see the new temporary exhibitions and to participate a guided tours. There is a caffeteria and restaurant on site. All the time there are activities for the families and kids.
Katy H — Google review
Nice building with friendly staff. But the exhibits .. some are closed with no notice, I can understand a movie projection as art... but there were 5 exhibits of just movie. I didnt want to see youtube. The display are all over the place with no plan to see all and get back to the entry(and a lot stairs)

Normally I am not very affine to arts but this museum caught me. Due to the hot weather we were looking for a place to go. We had our children (age of 8 and 10) with us and we really had fun. It's amazing what children are able to see in paintings. I was really impressed by the artists which are shown there: Renoir, Monet, Klimt, Picasso.... But also the contemporary part was great. I can really recommend it (also with children).
Janine Z — Google review
A modern museum with well-organized collections and impressive architecture. Temporary exhibitions are carefully curated and often provide original perspectives.
Meta Y — Google review
Great museum of Modern Art in Tel Aviv. Spacious with a lot of temporary installations as well, impressionism, pop-art, a garden with sculptures and a lot more. We spent 75ILS for an adult and a senior
Kiariladyboss — Google review
One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning collection of Israeli art, which provides a unique perspective on the country's rich cultural heritage and history. The museum's collection includes works by renowned Israeli artists such as Reuven Rubin, Nahum Gutman, and Yigal Tumarkin, among others. These artworks offer a fascinating insight into the Israeli art scene and its evolution over the years. The museum's architecture is also noteworthy, with its modern and sleek design that seamlessly blends with the surrounding urban landscape.
Andrei P — Google review
Highly recommend! Had the best time with my 5 yo daughter. She mostly enjoyed the Helena Rubinstein’s Miniature Rooms, the birds and the NFT exhibitions. The museum is very well maintained, clean and not crowded. Kids under 18 get a free ticket. Personally I prefer to get the tickets online, but there was no line waiting to buy tickets in the museum itself when we got there. The museum is closed on Sundays. Opens at 10 am each other day of the week. Check the website about the closing hours which change every day. And of course opening hours change on holidays.

Carmel Market, the largest shuk in Tel Aviv, is an open-air market offering a wide array of local produce, spices, grocery items, and home goods. The market also features dining options where visitors can enjoy gourmet wine and tapas at Basta or savor Israeli meat dishes at M25. Additionally, there's a French-style patisserie that offers classic desserts and Levantine fried dough during Hanukkah.
Nice market in the heart of Tel Aviv. Very lively and crowded and plenty of choices to eat local food or to have a drink. There is also a good variety of cloth section. A must see place if you go to Tel Aviv.
Pau E — Google review
So I had some time to kill in the morning before my flight home so I joined friends for a walk through this area and had a great time seeing all the stands from candy to house hold items. You can do all your shopping here. The sights, sounds and smell of bread and cooking is wonderful.
Tranton — Google review
A market is marked all over the world. Fresh on the spot juice from a variety of fruits. Market with sellers trying to get you to pay overprice for copy products like Nike, puma, Hugo Boss etc. Lots of cheap souvenirs from Israel. Some sellers can be very invasive Most prices can be dropped with a little bit of bargaining, Most shops sell the same at all different prices. Plenty of Mediterranean food which is delicious.
Zamir M — Google review
A very lively loud and very crowded market where one can find nearly anything, esp, food, spices, clothes, leather goods (incl. well made fake luxury brands). Fresh meat and fish are sold too, sometimes connected to a small eatery (seated or standing). Eateries are very crowded, loud and ventilators are blowing you away or provide fresh air (depending on how one can appreciate such kind of air blowing). If one appreciates a little less noise and crowd I can advise to take a side street and find a cosy place to eat or drink.
Boris G — Google review
A must see in Tel Aviv. The atmosphere is amazing and it nearly gives you a time traveler experience. You will find authentic stuff but as well some usual.. stuff. The food stand will let have a bite of everything. But no words can describe the experience, just go there!!!
Florian S — Google review
Carmel Market, one of the most colorful and exciting places in Tel Aviv. Not only fruits, vegetables and meats, but also clothes, children's clothes, shoes, glasses, accessories, toys etc.. Full of small restaurants, food stalls, everything is bustling, colorful and fun. Do not miss a visit to it.
Tamar K — Google review
Different great 👍🏻 sellers who wants to sell you something but still professional. Some of them not really. Definitely if you are a girl, guys would like to speak with you. Don’t hesitate to try everything and if you like you buy. To negotiate is Normal. Also kids negotiate
Nata_lie N — Google review
An incredible bazaar full of an eclectic array of well priced goods. I loved coming here! It’s exactly what you want in a market. It has interesting / quality goods, decent prices, and good food and produce. If you are in Tel Aviv, this place is an absolute must. If I’m ever in the country again, I will be back.

Sarona Market is a bustling indoor marketplace in Tel Aviv, featuring around 90 international vendors offering a wide array of prepared foods and groceries. It has been likened to renowned food markets like La Boqueria in Barcelona, Chelsea Market in New York City, and Borough Market in London.
Wonder and super aesthetic area for all kinds of foods and restaurants! From grocery shops to candy stores to kiosks and to bars! A place for all your kinds of taste buds! Super beautiful too full of decorative nature, wooden flavour of furniture and dim lights ❤️ the visual took me by a heart beat loved entering this building hated to leave it! Full of wonderful people and workers to serve all of your needs ,definitely a place to visit while in tel aviv! Can't believe I never been there before! Got myself noodles from wok to walk and some snacks from sweetime candy world ❤️ can't wait to come again and try the different quazines they over here!

I bring my friend to Tel Aviv so he can feel the vibe and taste of this incredible city. And Sarona market IMHO is a best place to feel it. This is a place to visit from time to time to refuel with energy.
Vladimir M — Google review
Sarona Market has a great central location and is a beautiful, well-maintained place to explore. There’s a wide variety of food options, though prices can be a bit on the expensive side. You’ll find seating both indoors and outdoors, which is convenient. In the evening it’s fairly relaxed, but not all vendors are open. At lunchtime, however, the place gets absolutely packed. Overall, a very enjoyable spot to visit — definitely recommended.
Nadav — Google review
Very nice air-conditioned market. Food variety were aplenty. Perfect place for a hot day to come for lunch/drinks and to do some quick shopping It is conveniently located to Tel Aviv’s train station, and there are major shopping malls nearby as well. There are a lot of parking options around the office buildings (though they are a little bit pricy)
Nahshon — Google review
Contrary to everyone's opinion and the way it looks like when you first arrive, I didn't like it. Yes - great first impression. Good visuals, nice presentation, seems like there is a lot to pick from, but - there isn't. It's extremely expensive and the food is pretty much the same as any street market. I'd rather visit the old city. It's fine if you're near it, and if you can find it, because of constructions and misleading location markers, but don't expect too much and maybe you'll like it better. I expected more variety. Maybe some places were just closed, I don't know. I only had a craft beer that nobody cared to tell me the name of, it was very good.
Marin K — Google review
Sarona Market is a cool place to visit in Tel Aviv. It is a covered market and a meeting hub full of food stores selling meats, cheeses, breads, alcohol and also small eateries with Israel food, Japanese cuisine, pizza, pasta and more. Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Sarona market is more like a food court. There are food shops and many restaurants inside. The design is contemporary, it is nice and clean. I loved the most the surroundings - small, old houses, parks and everything surrounded by skyscrapers. A great mix of modern and traditional. Little europe in middle of tel aviv. Nice place to hang out with various shops. You can have a drink on a bar, eat delicious deserts and many multiple choices of great street food - some pf them belong to chef restaurants. Must visit when you are exploring tlv. You can easily spend 2 -3 hours here.
Alex D — Google review
In general, this is a beautiful place. I was in Sukkot, so there were a lot of people. I saw a variety of food for everybody, some stores, places to drink, and sweets. I want to come back in calmer days.

Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Very nice tea shop, eastern sweets shop, tahini and halva place, ice cream factory and many others not vegan, meat and cheese places. Nice surroundings with restored old buildings and a water lily's pond. A lot of modern architectural structures nearby.

The Ilana Goor Museum is a unique attraction located in the heart of Old Jaffa, showcasing the diverse works of Israeli artist Ilana Goor. Housed in a beautifully restored historic building, the museum features an eclectic collection of sculptures, furniture, paintings, jewelry and clothing curated by the renowned artist herself. Visitors can enjoy stunning sea views from the museum's windows and immerse themselves in a peaceful atmosphere while exploring this fascinating blend of art and history.
Do you want to know how deep this rabbit hole goes? Very unusual and interesting place. Objectively, you can probably give it 4, but emotions and sensations - it's definitely 5. I am quite picky and strict about some types of art(and modern art especially) and really dislike many things that are done objectively badly, but people can shout "wow, this is art!" ...but this place was interesting to me. This house is filled with a little art-chaos and makes you feel a little like Alice from the famous book. My experience in this place was so unusual in my personal feelings. Many of the works were interesting to look at. I definitely did not regret the purchased ticket.
Alexandr O — Google review
Very impressive museum located in the historical part of Jaffa, Probably my favorite spot to visit in Old Jaffa. Very interesting collection of masterpieces and curious thing to see. There is also small shop with very nice handmade artist’s jewelry. Such an amazing array of art throughout the most uniquely designed museum I have ever been to. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my time spent there. Profound, unusual, beautiful, mysterious, joyful. One has to experience every floor, culminating on the roof top. From the rooftop the view amazing, and atmosphere of the terrace is incredible. There are many uncountable items in the museum and -because of that- this is not a typical and classical museum. This is more than a museum. I was amazed by the variety of arts from all over the world, the lovely atmosphere and a brilliant exhibition of young artists Nadia Gorenstein & Lior Kesem Hamama.Highly recommended 🙏🙏
Alex D — Google review
Very impressive museum located in the historical part of Jaffa, close to the part. You can find very diverse items here. Truly eclectic collection. Skin, wood, metal, photographs and paintings. There is a nice view from balcony. Must see in Jaffa. There is more art outside this place in the surrounding streets.
Kamila Ś — Google review
It is an impressive museum. Very-very interesting and unique place. Worth to visit absolutely. I arrived 15 minutes before closing. The nice desk office lady told me I can look around the museum quickly and because of the short time I didn't have to pay entrance fee. From the rooftop the view amazing, and atmosphere of the terrace is incredible. There are many uncountable items in the museum and -because of that- this is not a typical and classical museum. This is more than a museum!
János K — Google review
This is truly one of the kookiest art museums I have been to, in a great way. Ilana has collected a vast and diverse collection that somehow works together. What's cool is that you can tell it's a living and breathing art museum, constantly changing and adjusting. I even saw Ilana herself for a brief moment! Unfortunately when I visited the terrace wasn't open, which seems to have even more pieces and a gives a great view of the sea, but regardless it was a fun place to spot into in the area.
Dipika — Google review
Museum with varied epochs and exhibits. A lot of modern art mixed up with elements of the past time. The elements of the skin, wood of metal perfectly combined with each other and create a unique whole. Everyone will find something for their tastes with the possibility of buying. The building, both outside and inside, delights, I recommend visiting this place.
Elena — Google review
The must visit place. Very interesting collection of masterpieces and curious thing to see. There is also small shop with very nice handmade artist’s jewelry . We’ll be back for the jazz party
Elena C — Google review
This museum is her (the acclaimed artist's) home! The home is filled with not only her amazing art (paintings, sculpture, jewelry), but the work of other artists. All contemporary art juxtaposed with antiquities. Ancient vessels, African art, Christian art, contemporary art, all eclectically arranged to tell a story, it's her (the artist's) story. If you love art, this is a "must see"

Ben-Gurion House, located on Ben Gurion Avenue in central Tel Aviv, was the former work residence of David Ben Gurion, an influential figure in the founding of Israel. The house served as the residence for Ben Gurion and his family from 1931 to 1968 before being given to the State of Israel. Built in 1930-31 by engineer David Tuvia, it is situated in Tel Aviv's first neighborhood established by the Jewish National Fund.

HaBima Square, named after Israel's National Theatre, is a vibrant public space in Tel Aviv surrounded by cultural institutions like the Habima Theater and a sunken garden. It serves as a focal point in the city and hosts various activities and performances during Hanukkah celebrations. The square's design combines minimalism with functionality, offering visitors a place to relax amidst its modern surroundings.
Habima Square (also known as The Orchestra Plaza) is a public major space in the center of Tel Aviv which is home to a number of cultural institutions such as the Habima Theatre, the Culture Palace, and the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art. One of the beautiful places in Tel Aviv. Lots of space to run and play and it looks beautiful at night. The buildings are set in a square surrounded by several upmarket cafes and restaurants but the real gem is the landscaped gardens where classical music is piped and enjoyed via built in speakers. Amazing on Saturday when all locals gather here for a nice walk, talk and drinks🍹 highly recommended

And, many Bus Stops Nearby. Great Location to Stop for a Rest; Drink some cold water and Take a Breath.

Wonderful place. In the middle of stressful city, this green garden is very relaxing area. When you sit on the woody benches you can hear wonderful music and to relax. This music is not loud and you won't hear it outside, so come inside closer to the wooden area and flowers. The feeling is really unusual, the view is amazing with flowers and trees. Georgian restaurant
Restaurant
Deda is a charming restaurant with four locations across Israel, offering authentic Georgian cuisine with an Israeli twist. The name "Deda" means mother, and the restaurant aims to provide a home-cooked meal experience. Guests can enjoy classic dishes like Khachapuri and Harcho in a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. The restaurant also features live traditional music on weekend nights, making it a great spot for lunch, dinner, or even birthday parties.
We met with friends and celebrated my husband and I's anniversary in this wonderful cozy place, the atmosphere is modest and homely, reminded me of hospitable Georgia, the dishes are prepared for you, the food is delicious, really Georgian, the service is fast, I recommend the Adjarian khachapuri and the village-style potatoes with mushrooms. The prices are reasonable. The dishes are large. I really liked it.
Lena L — Google review
A really nice place to eat authentic Georgian food while having a great service! The food is made with love and carrying. The atmosphere is best close to the real deal and over all the experience is at the top level. Very recommended!
Raanan M — Google review
You just embarrass the name of Georgian cuisine! The hachapury was served rough - I mean the dough was absolutely rough! We returned it and we got another one and it was also rough! Shashlik is not grilled on fire but cooked! And the meat tastes terribly salty. Big NO!!! Never again!
Olga R — Google review
1 dish out of 4 was quite good. If you also visited Georgia, so I suppose you will get that the food is far away from Georgian. Khinkali were like “pelmeni”, Kharcho was also 50/50. We were waiting about 35 minutes for the first 2 dishes and then plus 10 for the last one. Generally, we will not return again. For one evening it’s okay, but if we chose this place for a special event I would be so frustrated. Just for a casual dinner - maybe okay but still…
N A — Google review
This is the best georgian restaurant outside its country, the khinkalis (meat and cheese) were great and the hachapuri ajaruli was the best! Cheesy and great, overall a must visit 👍

The Gutman Museum, located in the historic Writers Home of Neve Tzedek, showcases the diverse works of Israeli artist Nachum Gutman. The museum was opened in 1988 and features a collection donated by the artist's family, highlighting his talents as a painter, illustrator, sculptor, and children's author. Visitors can explore Gutman's art that depicts the early days of Neve Tzedek and its evolution.
This is a lovely museum in a small street in a very nice part of Tel Aviv. The artist tells the story of Tel Aviv from his unique perspective. We really enjoyed our visit here. It wasn't crowded and the rooms were nice and cool. There is a good gift shop and a very nice café around the corner.
AussieIslander — Google review
Interesting art museum of Gutman. Both history and Israeli art. His illustrations are lovely as well as his pictures.
Darina B — Google review
Nice place to visit in Tel Aviv. The museum was opened in May 1998, and the artwork was donated by Nahum Gutman's family, who had wanted to perpetuate his works.
Zeev F — Google review
One of my favourite painters. Great small museum, you can see in 1-2 hours. Located in the beautiful historic neighborhood of Neve Tzedek

Those who like Gutman's taste will appreciate this museum. The exhibits are elegantly displayed with explanations in Hebrew and English.

HaSela Beach, also known as The Rock Beach, is a sandy city beach located on the Mediterranean Sea. True to its name, the beach is surrounded by large rocks and offers a serene atmosphere for visitors. It's a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing, with rental chairs and umbrellas available. Despite being crowded in the summer, the chill mood of HaSela Beach makes it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
Great shore for the whole family, the rocks make the waves smaller and the water is not deep in the area which also makes it safer for the kids. You should bring your own chairs, umbrellas etc. Cause they cost a lot. PLEASE clean up the trash after yourselves.
Dima ( — Google review
It's one of my favorite beaches, been coming here since I was a baby. It's one of the more popular beaches for its natural breakwater. The chill mood is worth the crowd in the summer. Also, nice restaurants and cafés, though a bit pricy, but everything near the shore is. It's also one of the more dirty beaches, which is a real shame, people need to learn to toss their garbage in the multiple trash cans around. Personally, I love coming here at sunset and as it gets dark, even during the winter, the view is amazing.
Zohy O — Google review
The best hidden gem south of Tel Aviv. Spent many hours here and love every moment. Great staff and atmosphere, especially on Shabbat, good music and families having fun. The street above is lined with restaurants but the food from the beach bar is great. Protected swimming area is calm and well staffed during summer. Less trendy than Tel Aviv beaches but more relaxed. Love this place.
Rod F — Google review
I like this beach because it's a lot quieter than some of the more popular beaches in Tel Aviv.
Craig L — Google review
This beach in Bat-yam city, near the promenade and is great for swimming, sunbathing, eat and drink, also jogging and hiking , windsurf or wavesurf/SUP. parking on the street be gurion, also bus number 6/87 or 1/125/25/40/42 stop nearby. Great resturants /shisha bars good prices. You can walk north to Jaffa/tel aviv or south to Rishon leZion on the water and see beautiful beach of Israel .

In addition to an impressive selection of high-quality spirits, this establishment also boasts shelves stocked with delectable gourmet candies, cookies, and breads. Customers can expect friendly service and expert advice, along with generous tasting opportunities that are sure to elevate their spirits.
Great place for alcohol and some gourmet things, like cheese, chocolate and leaf tea. The owners are very friendly and eagerly provide good advice - and tasting shots. So generously, in fact, that you may expect to exit the store in considerably higher spirits than when you entered.

Market
Bezalel Market, nestled in the heart of Tel Aviv near the bustling Carmel Market, is a vibrant open-air bazaar that offers an eclectic mix of stalls brimming with fabrics, textiles, clothing, and more. As you wander through this lively market located at the intersection of King George and Bethlehem Streets, you'll discover everything from basic apparel to hidden designer gems—all at incredibly affordable prices starting as low as 5 shekels.
Cheap clothes , cosmetics bags , etc all area around is very cheap ! Maybe you find a designer peace for 10-50 NIS
Janka D — Google review
Used to be better before the gentrification, but still has some charm, and great bargains for genuine branded clothes.
David S — Google review
Cheap clothes produced in Gaza district. The most of examples looks boring to me but occasionally interesting design solutions could be found there. For an example this skirt, I guess it was inspired by "the dragon ball" anime 😅
Ariel J — Google review
After the erection of an adjacent residential complex, the market has changed drastically. By and large, in terms of assortment, there is nothing left but new/used clothes and kitchen utensils. Yet, the stores along King George street are intact, plus a few new food options appeared in a residential complex. Presumably, the market could regain popularity after stand-alone buildings are upgraded, yet, developers have just started on this path.
Andrew G — Google review
Cool place, lots of shops with a variety of products, including Israeli designer products and also brands like Desigual... really cheap. Excellent Greek restaurant, nice cafes. Worth a visit.

Good market to buy (mainly second hand) clothes for cheap (relative for Tel Aviv). I would give it 5 stars but the recent renovation did not think about shade so it gets very sunny and hot during summer

Awesome place to walk around and find good quality cheap basics. Has also other things for nice quality. It's not the shuk it used to be but it's still nice👌🏻. Has lots of street parking around and a few closed parking lots for a fee. Close to many things. It's a good place to start your day at the old city centre of Tel Aviv.

Rabin Square, also known as Kikar Rabin, is a prominent public square in Tel Aviv that holds great historical and cultural significance. It features a memorial to the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and the Holocaust and Revival Memorial, both of which are notable works of art. The square is often used for major events, ceremonies, rallies, and celebrations.
Rabin Square (previously called Israel's Kings Square) was named after late Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated near that square. Hovering above it, is the Tel Aviv municipality building. I guess this Square is the parallel of Venice's St. Mark's Square or London's Trafalgar Square, only far less impressive. From the square go for a shady walk down Gordon Street towards the Beach and you will find that the Trees have an artistic language all of their own. Big square in central Tel Aviv in front of the City Hall building that is a place for celebrations and protests. Beautiful both during the day and during the night, many great restaurants, cafés, bakeries and bars around.
Alex D — Google review
The area around the memorial is currently under extensive construction and renovation. Under the shade of the old olive tree, I will make my prayers and morning for the millions of victims that never got to enjoy the beautiful city of Tel Aviv, Israel. May their memories be a blessing to their families and let the world never forget.

I guess this Square is the parallel of Venice's St. Mark's Square or London's Trafalgar Square, only far less impressive. If fact, there isn't much to do here other than visiting the monument. On weekends, families come here for picnics, which is a lovely sight.
Avi J — Google review
At first glance this square doesn't seem like much, but the beauty of it is how it blends political significance with everyday life. You can grab a coffee at any of the coffee shops surrounding the square and in good weather you can grab a chair and sit by the pool, and if you happen to catch a political rally taking place there, all the better.
Jonathan B — Google review
Historical sad memory and tribute for Itzhak Rabin murder , which is at the municipality of Tel-Aviv. Besides that is a meeting point, especially for shows and holiday events

Defenders Square, also known as Quarry Square, stands as a poignant tribute to the brave defenders of Batim during the War of Independence. This historic site once housed defense positions that have since vanished, but its significance remains. Today, Defenders Square is a vibrant hub where culture and leisure intertwine; visitors can enjoy theater performances and live music while sipping coffee under the shade of lush pipal trees.
An extraordinary place! The place where culture, leisure and democracy relish theater and music, enjoy coffee and shady pipals, play in the sandbox and execute freedom of assembly and speech!

Very interesting house museum of one of the most important Yiddish authors of XX century. He lived in this house for two years fröm 1950 till 1952 and left part of his art and Judaic collection to the city of Bat Yam that maintains museum in his house.
Ihor Z — Google review
Sholem Asch, also written Shalom Ash, was a Polish-Jewish novelist, dramatist, and essayist in the Yiddish language who settled in the United States. Asch spent most of his last two years in Bat Yam near Tel Aviv, Israel, in a house that the mayor had invited him to build, but died in London at his desk writing. Due to his controversies, his funeral in London was small. His house in Bat Yam is now the Sholem Asch Museum and part of the MoBY-Museums of Bat Yam complex of three museums. The bulk of his library, containing rare Yiddish books and manuscripts, as well as the manuscripts of some of his own works, is held at Yale University. Although many of his works are no longer read today, his best works have proven to be standards of Jewish and Yiddish literature. His sons were Moszek Asz/Moses "Moe" Asch (2 December 1905, Warsaw – 19 October 1986, United States), the founder and head of Folkways Records, and Natan Asz/Nathan Asch (1902, Warsaw – 1964, United States), also a writer. His great-grandson, David Mazower, is a writer and a BBC Journalist.
Sasha C — Google review
Very fascinating place. The author lived here for 2 years, but his spirit left an imprint on the house. Located on a quiet street between Balfour and the beach, it’s well preserved and contains the personal belongings of Sholem Asch, along with an impressive art collection. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, or a fan.
