Onza is a vibrant and trendy bar located in the Jaffa Flea Market, offering an industrial-style setting with outdoor seating. The menu features elevated Turkish cuisine with a modern twist, including dishes like homemade focaccia, shrimp burgers with chipotle aioli and roasted pineapple, and lamb cannelloni with yogurt, almonds, and parsley. The kitchen is inspired by Ottoman cuisine and is led by experienced chefs Arik Darhani and Muli Magriso.
Everything was delicious. We tried several starters and all of them were great. Indoor and outdoor sitting. Make sure you book in advance, especially if you want to seat outside. Above average prices. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff

First dinner visiting Israel here and I kinda expected more. Some of the dishes were good and some were not. Main server was great, but the people that were bringing out the drinks and food gave off a vibe that we owe them something. I would suggest to close the hole in the middle of the table as we were running out of room and open it when people order the ice buckets.
Amnon N — Google review
Middle eastern and Turkish cuisine with the great atmosphere of the market. Great food for a cocktail bar, perhaps a bit missing if you are looking for a full meal if you don’t like fish - it will be hard to find a significant entrée. But otherwise the food was yummy, service was fast and the place was fun!
Oran L — Google review
We didn’t have a reservation but they managed to find us a spot at the bar which was great as we got to get some great recommendations from Michael the barman. We had a local craft beer and tried a few of the dishes. The hummus and eggplant dips were amazing! The chicken schwerma was delicious. And finally the chocolate nemesis was to die for 🤤 Not the cheapest place but we had a great experience and would go back!
Liliana D — Google review
We have recently dined at Onza and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to recommend dishes and provide great advice throughout the meal. The food itself was truly delicious, with standout dishes including the amazing eggplant starter and the fresh bread. I highly recommend trying the Seafood Hanina, it's definitely worth it. What's more, if you're an early bird, you can take advantage of the 30% off discount. All in all, my experience at Onza jn was superb and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with great food and exceptional service.
Mindaugas V — Google review
Both authentic food and exquisite service earn this little bar / restaurant a 5 star rating. In addition to the above, expect good vibes and joyful music, a perfect trendy place for brunch or going out with friends for beers & food. Will definitely comeback :)

Jaffa is a nice neighborhood and this restaurant is fitting perfectly the atmosphere around. Relaxed, chill and the food plus the service were perfect! Did not try the cocktail but that’s a good reason to come back then!

Very good, but I liked the previous menu when we visited a couple of years a go a lot better. It felt less authentic Turkish and more generic now.

Cafe
Cafe Puaa is a charming and cozy spot located near the famous Jaffa Flea Market. The cafe's eclectic and funky decor, featuring mismatched furniture straight from the market, adds to its unique charm. Whether you choose to sit outside on a chunky couch or inside on a vintage diner chair, you'll soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the flea market.
We went on our first night in Tel Aviv after having done some research and following Puaa on Instagram. Wow! Amazing food, great atmosphere, and all the girls working there were so nice! We'll be back to try the breakfast menu for sure!
Jon D — Google review
Easily my favorite restaurant. I come here every other week, and it never disappoints. The menu is short — almost suspiciously so — but everything on it is solid. They clearly go for quality over quantity, and it works. They offer a discount with the Behatzdaa card for reservists, which is a nice touch and genuinely appreciated. The staff are friendly without being fake, and the whole place has this cozy, no-frills, “you’re part of the family” vibe. It’s not trying to be trendy or over-the-top — just good food, good people, and a space that feels like a second home. Honestly, if they added two more tables, I’d probably be annoyed. Let’s keep this our little secret.
Shahar G — Google review
I like going on Friday mornings when the flea market is bustling. Great home made style food and everything not bolted down is for sale so it’s like eating in a vintage antique store!
Adi S — Google review
I have visited this place several times a few years ago and was happy to return again. It has become a much larger place, taking over a few of the places next door. The design is still very hipster, 70s vibe, eclectic and lovely. Very popular among the tourists around the glee market. The food is also still very tasty, but they did raise the rates quite a bit and for some of the dishes I do think the value for money is not great.
Lihi B — Google review
Unfriendly, rude and not helpful the hostess, the food was nice a bit salty; the dessert (tapioca) was great. the atmosphere was ok, I was seated under vent air conditioning and was dripping over me, and then I asked for another table.
E. E — Google review
We had a breakfast here and we enjoyed it. Nice spot in old Jaffa. We ordered Shakshuka and an scrambled eggs, they serve it with bread, vegetable salat and humus, all very tasty. You cal also just have a seat and enjoy your coffee. Really nice place, in case we are backnin Tel Aviv we will visit this place again.

What was once the only restaurant in the shuk hapishpeshim district remains a reigning Supreme restaurant with authentic bohemian vibes and European atmosphere. The waitstaff are very nice, the food is tasty and the mood is super chill. Started by my aunt with alot of heart and soul, the restaurant keeps my dear Pua's legacy alive with this unique and very special place. A "must visit and eat" location if/when you come to Yaffo.

I am a professional foodie, therefore I insist on making accurate researches for places that are very good, memorable to my tummy. This is one place I am not done with yet, had just half of their menu... So I just keep going back there and tasting everything. Food exceptional, venue very pretty and in a gorgeous location, service fast and very professional. So far one of my favorite places in Tel Aviv.

Restaurant
Abu Hassan is a renowned hummus restaurant located in Jaffa, Israel, known for its delicious and traditional hummus dishes. This family-run establishment has been serving exceptional hummus for over 50 years. The menu offers classic hummus, spicy hummus with whole chickpeas, and hummus ful made with fava beans, all served in generous portions with soft pita bread, raw onions, and a flavorful green chili dip.
The service is very friendly and super fast. They are all so sweet at the restaurant and very helpful when we had to take the stroller inside as there were no tables available outside. We told the person it was our first time, he asked us if we had any allergies and ordered for us. Just be aware that their portion size is big and 1 order of hummus should do for a group of 4. As expected it was all melt in your mouth goodness! It’s just .4 miles ~9 minutes walk to the clock tower.
Sandhya P — Google review
I took ful complet (hummus, broadbeans, tahina, egg). Prices are reasnable (about 35 i think), food is good but not wow and onions wernt even peeled!. The place is very noisy, just like there original branch in panorama street was. A waiter was resting at one end of our bench, toilet seat was wet, lighting is harsh. Alrogether not a pleasant place to eat but allways full owing to its popularity in the guided. There are many better humus joints ..
Steve R — Google review
Typically Arabic hospitality - people shouting, very welcoming and honest. The food was excellent even though I thought their foul need more salt. Their lemonade was the best I’ve ever had and the prices are fair. I would give more star if there was some kind of music. Highly recommend!
Stjepan K — Google review
Lightest, fluffiest & really tasty hummus (for sure one of the best ones we’ever had) - both the normal and the mashabacha one. Falafel were extremely good, same goes for the lemonade. Cheap, fast eats at its finest! Long queue, fast sitting and (probably) table sharing in most cases. Good staff, and while the place felt a little noisy and hectic, that also adds to the experience! A great find!
Ermis M — Google review
Abu Hassan is the single best hummus restaurant in Tel Aviv. It is simple, quick, and amazingly tasty. The hummus is so tasty, in fact, that you’re unlikely to even notice the sub-optimal service. Don’t overstay at your tables though; when you finish, get moving so others can have their turn at hummus.
Steve B — Google review
In my search for inexpensive, but not giving up to quality, restaurants, I found this place after finishing a walking tour in Jaffa. I ordered the masabacha (with egg) and four pieces of falafel, and a glass of lemonade. The masabacha was a great surprise, try it if you want something a bit different from regular hummus. Service is fast, and you can pay with card.
Hugo C — Google review
A highlight of our trip to Tel Aviv! They only serve hummus, but boy is it good! This place is recommended by Lonely Planet as having the "best hummus in the world," but it is refreshingly low-key. Service is rough, but that's part of the charm! We loved our hummus and will have fond memories of Ali Caravan.
Zachary H — Google review
Wow! Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is fast and loud, and made for a unique experience. We were able to be seated right away. Service was quick, basic, and got the job done but wasn't exceptional. The food was amazing, the pita was fresh tasty, the hummus smooth and creamy. Definitely worth a visit!

Restaurant
Dr Shakshuka is a renowned eatery located in Jaffa's flea market, offering authentic and mouthwatering Israeli breakfast specialty, shakshuka. The restaurant gained fame after being featured on 'Somebody Feed Phil' for its delicious dishes. The owner, known as the 'Doctor,' perfected the art of cooking shakshuka during his time in prison and later opened the restaurant under his prison nickname.
We walked in and got seated right away within minutes they brought out some salads to start off with and within 10 minutes our food was already on the table. It was an absolutely delicious shakshuka (we had a plane shakshuka, lamb shawarma shakshuka land one sausage shakshuka) and so were the salads. Great friendly service and a nice atmospher, no wonder they won the best shakshuka in Israel award. We met the owner and he was the nicest guy ever. If you’re in Tel Aviv-Yafo area this is a must place to visit and it’s about 30 minutes drive from almost any area near Tel Aviv.
Iggy D — Google review
Tourist Trap (.) Not in a good way. From the moment you walk in, as you are welcomed by branded t-shirts with Dr. Shakshuka's face, full wall frescoes of the proprietor seasoning (salt bae style) pans of shakshuka, and a life sized cut out of the "chef" himself, you know this is not a good idea. We sat and attempted to escape but the waiter said the shakshuka was only 49 shekels. Tempted by the price we stayed. We ordered 2 bottles of water to quench our thirst (sorry no tap) and our total for 2 ended up at 135 shekels. Service: We went at around 8:45 am, note Tel Aviv is a late city, so we were the only ones there. The wait staff was, what it was, nothing special. Food: I gave 3 stars for the food, which is nothing I couldn't make at home in 20 minutes.
S S — Google review
First, the food here was decent and the room with the pans hanging from the ceiling is really cool. Unfortunately, those are the only nice things I can say about this place. The staff is just awful. No smiles whatsoever. Rude AF. They try to rip you off right away, bringing stuff you didn’t order so they can charge you for it. Never again.
Patrick B — Google review
Food was okay, not extraordinary, but satisfying. The waiter told us that the price for "business lunch" will be 87 NIS per person. We were fine with the price as it seemed to be a good value for so much food (we were served 15 items - salads, hummus, tahini, meat, shakshouka and lot of bread, quite good lemonade). Anyway 87 NIS * 2 persons gives 174 NIS, our waiter even wrote the price down for us. He seemed quite stressed the whole time, he was pressing us to make a quick decision - we thought it's because the place was busy (around a half of the tables in the outside area was taken). I also didn't like that the waiter was smoking a cigarette just a few meters away from our table. When it came to the payment time, the waiter didn't not came with a terminal for card payments, he insisted that it will be faster and more comfortable if he'll go inside alone and charge the card himself. But... He came with a receipt for 190 NIS. I have no idea for what that additional fee was taken as it hasn't been explained. Because of this we decided to not tip them, so this lunch was a bit cheaper than planned anyway.
Aneta M — Google review
Believe the hype. All of it. You little nerds complaining about service deserve to be slapped. Stop being stereotypical Hebrews complaining about price. You get what you pay for. You’re not here to be coddled you’re here to eat. The abrasive service is part of the experience. Order the small bites tasting menu you won’t be disappointed. Those who hate the food should stick to eating hamburgers and French fries.
Matthew H — Google review
The food was pretty good, service was pretty fast, and the atmosphere was pretty cool. It just felt a bit too touristy. Also, the communication about how to order isn't clear. They set all of these delicious looking salads on the table and the customer has to be clear on whether or not they want it. When you're hungry, you dive in. When the bill comes, you pay for it even though you didn't order it. I'd still highly recommend coming here regardless.
Ryan S — Google review
Went In December of 2019. Ordered shakshuka. Had no idea this was a famous restaurant because I just followed my friend’s recommendation to come. Only just found out after seeing it mentioned in a travel article. I remember the interior of it quite well and the streets just outside had some public art. I remember enjoying the plating and warmth of the tomato and egg. I can’t exactly recall what the pricing was but I assume reasonable otherwise I would’ve remembered if it was exorbitantly priced. I do remember it being very popular and full when I went (on a Thursday night).

Mediterranean restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Jaffa neighborhood of Ajami, The Old Man and the Sea Restaurant has been a beloved culinary destination since its establishment in 1999 by Younes Ali. This family-run gem offers an inviting atmosphere where diverse cultures converge over delectable Mediterranean cuisine. Diners can indulge in a variety of fresh salads, seafood, and meat dishes, with a standout deal featuring 18 different salads alongside warm pita bread and refreshing lemonade.
The Old Man and the Sea is truly a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The variety of fresh seafood offered was absolutely impressive. Each dish we tried was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was elegant and inviting. We especially loved the generous spread of small dishes that came with the meal. The service was attentive and efficient throughout the entire evening. Staff members were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Our table was cleared quickly and our needs were promptly met. The atmosphere was vibrant but slightly noisy due to the crowd. Despite the noise, the view and decor created a festive mood. The interior design and lighting gave the place a warm, lively feel. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you enjoy authentic Middle Eastern seafood. The combination of delicious food, great service, and dynamic ambiance is hard to beat. It’s a place I would gladly return to.

🌊 Al Ajouz & Al Bahr Restaurant – Jaffa 🌅 A beautiful restaurant located right on the Jaffa seaside, offering a stunning view that captures the spirit and charm of the city. The meal begins with an amazing free appetizer spread featuring more than 20 kinds of fresh salads, delicious falafel, and creamy hummus. Then comes whatever your heart desires ,from freshly grilled fish to shawarma and other authentic Middle Eastern dishes, each bursting with flavor and tradition. A place that combines beauty, authenticity, and unforgettable taste. Truly a wonderful experience worth repeating! 🌟

Visit: December/2022 2 people for diner The amount (and quality!) of food makes this place unique. PROS: - I’ve seen so much starters before. 20 in total. And they were all on high quality standard; - my friend ordered a lamb grill that was very tasteful; - the lemonade jar is included and also delicious; - the price is totally affordable and worth; - desserts also included CONS: Very noisy

Great food indeed! So fresh and yummy. They provide a variety of salads with any meal as well as fresh lemonade. I got the grilled Salam on and it was great. We also got the clams and calamari in a creamy yummy sauce that was also good. Staff are super quick and efficient. Great view of the Mediterranean Sea 🌊
Eman S — Google review
I ate here on a Monday night based on a recommendation from local colleagues. What an amazing experience we had. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy which meant getting a table was no problem, but given the size of it, I can imagine it would get pretty busy. We got a seat outdoors overlooking the marina as it was a nice barmy evening. As soon as we sat down, we were surprised by a mass delivery of salads, bread and lemonade. Turns out, these are all complimentary if each diner also purchases a main meal. With that said, the price of the salads is very reasonable if that's all you feel like eating. They also replenish the bread and salads as they run out, so it's very easy to fill up before the mains arrive. The mains themselves are delicious and there is a good selection of both meat, veg and seafood options. Personally I went with prawns in cream sauce, which was delicious. My colleague went for the tandoori whole grouper, which easily was enough for all three of us, so he encouraged us all to try some too, and it was spectacular. One thing to note is they don't serve alcohol, but to be fair, the lemonade they do serve is so delicious and refreshing that the lack of beer didn't really matter. All in all, a great dining experience and I would gladly visit again next time I'm in Israel.

It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought a large variety of salads and bread, and it was delicious. Those was renewed every time we finished something. We each took one main course and those also arrived very fast. I ordered fish and was very pleased the other group party ordered meat lamb chops and record steak and steak fillet and those were just OK. Actually we also got a small syrupy dessert on the house which was nice but very sweet. I have to point out that the place is very clean including the restrooms. Overall we had a nice lunch.
Lihi B — Google review
Food is decent, not amazing - great variety of salads etc that come with the table. However, it was a rather chaotic experience - staff rushing by with plates of food, people everywhere. Saw a waiter drop a bread portion on the floor, and then he picked it up and put it straight back into the service bowl - not acceptable.
Michael B — Google review
The salads were good and plentiful and the waitstaff attentively refreshed them along with the bread maybe five times. I was with a large group and those who ordered fish were mostly happy. Those who ordered meat were largely disappointed. My lamb chops were small and leathery, I would not order them again. There was also some disappointment with the kebabs.

Asian restaurant
Restaurant
Taizu is a trendy restaurant in Tel Aviv that offers a unique blend of Southeast Asian street food and specialty cocktails. Chef Yuval Ben Neriah's three-month exploration of East Asian countries inspired the creation of Taizu, which features a mostly seafood menu with dishes like har gow dumplings filled with black tiger shrimp and artichoke.
My fiancé and I came to celebrate our engagement and had a fantastic time. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. Our waitress Yasmeen was one of the best waiters I’ve experienced. I would definitely recommend dining here (and asking for Yasmeen as your waitress!).
Tzvi S — Google review
We came to celebrate our 25 anniversary. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The waitress explained us about the menu and then offered an option that she will select the dishes for us and it will cost us up to 440 ILS per person. We chose that option and did not regret it. The dishes were delicious and exactly what we were looking for. We had 8 different sharing dishes and that was great.
Raz G — Google review
This is in my opinion the most overpriced and underwhelming restaurant I have been to in Israel. The menu is amateur with repetitions of the same curry powder coconut milk and chilli powder in 4 of the dishes we had. It’s just lame and not creative. The white chocolate (you guessed it) and coconut dessert is seriously disgusting and we had to send it back. Service is ok, not bad or good. The server asked me how much I want to tip him as he held onto the debit machine- this is of course very polite and normal . I enjoy loudly stating the amount of extra money I want to give a server.

Meanwhile a classic institution TLV's culinary scene. I've been back to it after many years of absence (though I live basically next door). Was worth to visit. The atmosphere is chill asian vibe. The menu consists of multiple sections - maybe a few number of dishes too much. I like when there are around 20 dishes not 30+ - but it serves customers that come regularly and do not want to always eat the same. Dishes were delicious and yummy. My friend recommended the 'spoon dish' with is veal sweetbreads in a dumpling - but I found it the least favorable. It's just a very strong taste. The fish carpaccio was quite good and the butterfly sea bream was amazing - even at its cost. The dessert we had was ok Service was good, but not outstanding.

We came here for the Saturday lunch set menu and everything was absolutely delicious! Here are some dishes I really recommend: • Bean sheet salad • Fresh green salad • Butcher’s cut steak • Whole fried sea bass (served with fresh lettuce leaves, rice noodles, basil, cilantro, and three sauces – sour, spicy, and sweet. The sour one was my favorite!) • Butter chicken (a bit smaller in size but comes with rice, and the sour cream really elevates the flavors) My sea bass was definitely a highlight — you actually get to build your own wrap: take a lettuce leaf, fill it with noodles, herbs, fish, and dip it in the sauce of your choice. The bite was absolutely divine, a true flavor explosion! My partner really enjoyed the butter chicken, creamy and flavorful, and he highly recommends it as well. Overall, such a wonderful Saturday lunch experience - highly recommended!

Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly and attentive service. I’ve been coming here every few years when visiting Israel, and it’s consistently an excellent experience. Perfect spot for couples or small groups (3–8 people). Our visits usually come out to about 250-350 ₪ per person.

Falafel restaurant
Restaurant
HaKosem is a bustling restaurant known for its shawarma, falafel, and hummus plates. Despite its unassuming appearance, it offers top-notch quality with fresh ingredients imported by Arik Rosenthal himself. The menu features exceptional shawarma, crispy falafel, flavorful hummus and tahini, as well as delectable eggplant dishes and freshly chopped salads.
OMGGG🤤🤤🤤 Hands down to one of the best place for falafel pita and hummus in Tel Aviv. There was a short line when we got there around 2pm on a Tuesday. They were passing free falafel as we were waiting. For a plate of hummus, 2 half pita and a coke we only spent 80 ILS, really good prices in my opinion. I recommend it to anyone

I love eating here and deliberately wanted to make this restaurant my first stop for shawarma once I landed in TLV back in my first-ever visit to Israel. Very easy service where they handle the long lines efficiently and are helpful behind the counter. Even better quality food and at decent prices. It's nice to sit outside to eat when it's not so hot out.

✨ The creator of this concept has truly mastered Middle Eastern cuisine, adding that unique Israeli touch that makes all the difference. 👏 A big bravo for such an achievement! 🍴 In my opinion, this is simply the best restaurant in Israel—refined, thoughtful, and brilliantly executed. 💡 And if the idea of opening another branch ever comes up, I’d be more than open for business. Come when hungry, the food portion sizes are enormous. The vibe is really great and the staff are amazing. Would highly recommend if in the mood for a shawarma, felafel and you find yourself in central Tel Aviv
Samuel G — Google review
Not a big fan of falafel, but that’s probably the best one in Tel Aviv. Simple yet delicious menu with all-times Israeli favorites- hummus, falafel, Israeli salad. Both plate and pita serving options are available. Lunch dishes are huge, so it’s ok to share it for two. Pretty busy during lunch hours
Nina V — Google review
Atmosphere: No indoor or closed area in a season that is fairly hot and tables are unsanitized attracts flies and bad odder from full of waste in bins on tables and the dirty dishes in open area. Service: fast bur when you run that fast there will be mistakes , I paid for 1 shawarma in lafa and 1 falafel in pitta bread and another pitta shawarma sapratly yet because of the queue and fast pace ordered he forgot to make the falafel until I mentioned and showed him the ticket. Sometime a bit balance in speed and efficiency is what needed not just speed Service. Food: Shawarma was fantastic. Meat was flavour correctly and meat cooked just right. Falafel was seemed a bit burnt out on the surface but still delicious inside once you pass that burnt darker crisp. Salads and sauces were just right in both dishes .
Yuval M — Google review
The flafel is good, but not sure if worth the hype (and the relatively high price). They did put a lot inside the Pita. The service is pretty bad, they are bot nice, sometimes slow, not always listening.
Shai M — Google review
Best possible falafel and humus: delicious, super tasty and always a good sign: lot of locals eat here. You can even feel the taste only from good it smells staying in the queue - yes, usually jt will be a small queue, but it moves fast and you even get some falafel samples on the way. Portions are huge, so I recommend getting the pita one ( which is smaller ) if you’re not really really hungry. I got falafel and humus - being hungry ( only meal of the day ) and I could finish only half. You order at the counter and everything is made in front of you, fresh. Humus will come after 1-2 minutes and you get a ringer to inform you it’s time to check the counter Can also get sauces and pickles salad free of charge from the right side. Definitely recommend, I had the most amazing arabic food ( falafel or humus ) so you must check it out.

Ouzeria is a vibrant Mediterranean restaurant located in Tel Aviv's trendy Florentin neighborhood. The warm, brick-lined space with a bar offers a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy classic Mediterranean fare. Chef Avivit Priel Avichai draws inspiration from Greece's small Ouzerias to create unique adaptations of traditional Greek and Mediterranean cuisines. The menu features dishes made on the spot and served as ready, accompanied by alcohol and music for a lively dining experience.
Wow. Great food. Really beautiful cooking. I liked the eggplant as a stater, the bread was on point. I feel that the spicy source plate I took should have been served as a part of the deal though. I would go there again! So should you. My wife said it was a pleasant evening (!)

Ouzeria is a fantastic spot for a memorable meal. The food was absolutely delicious, earning a full five stars — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was also very good; the staff was attentive and friendly, although there were moments when we had to wait a little longer than expected. The atmosphere was vibrant and pleasant, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the evening. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely a place I would recommend to others!

Lots of potential in this place. Service was friendly and relaxed, tables outside on a sunny day where lovely. The cauliflower, aubergine carpaccio, veal sweetbread and chicken souvlaki were good. Portions are quite small for the price. The beetroot ravioli was quite bland and disappointing. Overall good but just expensive for the portion sizes.

Had a private dinner at Ouzeria next door. Everything was absolutely perfect!! The More Foods vegan dish was the favorite of the night, a plant based protein made from pumpkin and sunflower seeds! Very cool!
Kayla B — Google review
I came across Ouzeria from Bloomberg's list of best restaurants in Tel Aviv. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere is hip and laid back just like its surrounding neighborhood. The food is here eclectic and playful and drew a large influence from Spain. Most dishes are like tapas and meant to be shared, while some dishes had a Israeli spin to it. I took off one star because no single dish really blew us away but we found the entire experience to be very pleasant. The place is not cheap but if you can manage to get here when they open and avoid the typical long wait, Ouzeria is definitely worth a try!

HaBasta is a beloved restaurant in Israel, known for its casual and unpretentious atmosphere, accessible fine dining, and consistently excellent quality. Located in the heart of Carmel Market, the restaurant sources almost all of its ingredients from the surrounding stalls, ensuring unrivaled freshness. Chef Eilon Amir creates meticulous market-inspired dishes like black truffle pizza and organ meat delicacies.
HaBasta (“market stall” in Arabic) is a laid-back, creative Middle Eastern–Mediterranean restaurant tucked beside Shuk HaCarmel. We enjoyed every dish — the okra with fried grape leaves, the beet salad, and the roasted tomato ravioli were all excellent. The service was cordial, and watching the “who’s who” of Tel Aviv stroll in added to the fun, vibrant atmosphere. A great evening and highly recommended!

So we ordered a lot of dishes, the zucchini starter was my favorite starter, though the eggplant one was pretty good too. The pasta was amazing, and the flank steak was delicious but the potatoes had way too much pepper. Overall the food was very good, very pricey but that was expected. At first it took a long time for them to come take our order. Overall great restaurant!
Dalya F — Google review
Wow wow wow! We went there last week, and we had several appetizers and several mains. I'll start by saying the service is one of the best in Tel Aviv—truly attentive and professional! The food was spectacular; you could feel the passion and signature touch of the chef in every dish, making the entire experience from the ambiance to the last bite simply perfect. I especially recommend the open fish on the grill.

One of the best restaurants in Israel, food is top notch, service is fast, largest wine selection in the country, ingredients are freshly sourced daily and the dishes are unique and masterfully executed. Prices are very high, but definitely worth it.
Daniel N — Google review
This is a cozy, unpretentious restaurant situated on a side street a stone's throw away from the bustling Carmel Market. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, all of which are based on fresh, locally sourced products, with a strong emphasis on seafood. The crab bourekas that we tried was exceptional, whilst the rest of the dishes were very good. Prices are relatively high, but the place nonetheless offers good value for money.
Raphael S — Google review
I‘ve been to this restaurant many times and each time it is different and in a good way. The menu keeps changing according to the seasonal ingredients and is written each day by hand. All of the dishes are really special and something you probably won’t find in any other restaurant. Yes prices are high but welcome to Tel Aviv - this is the average price for a fine dining experience and in this place you get the value for money. Always very fresh and high quality food, a fantastic time to spend in the heart of the market. If you want good food with an Israeli twist - this is it.
Elaine S — Google review
There’s no such thing as a perfect mea- oh wait. This was absolute perfection. Everything served is fresh from the sea or the market next door, the menu changes according to season and weather, and every ingredient is allowed to truly shine. Some dishes are staples so are usually available, like the wonderful grilled calamari or the salted honey tart (which was indescribably good); others come on and off the menu, like the notorious crab bourekas which we didn’t get to try (sigh). Service was excellent and the alcohol menu is extensive and exciting. I would highly recommend to book a table in advance as the place is usually busy, and it’s definitely not the cheapest meal you’ll have in Tel Aviv. But I guarantee it’s worth it!
Dan Z — Google review
The atmosphere from the market is really nice and the food was excellent, although the portions were rather small for the price. The cocktails were pretty bland, I suggest you order wine from their large selection instead. Overall a great experience, but I'd expect lower prices for a place located in the market. This is not a fine dining restaurant as their name suggests.

Chef Eli Stein's menu focuses on seafood and vegetarian options with creative alternatives for gluten-free diners. The restaurant is situated next to the famous Dr. Shakshuka, making it a less touristy but equally enticing choice.
Absolutely excellent restaurant. I went in thinking the atmosphere is the selling point of the place, but the food blew me away! The serving sizes are a bit small, but you could tell that every dish I had was prepared with so much thought and care. The ribs was definitely my favourite, the mix of flavours was excellent. It had a slightly smoky, rich taste. The sauces alongside it enriched it even more. The zucchini from the stone oven was also a hit. Good tang from the Turkish goat cheese and a lovely charred and smoky taste from the zucchini. I think I would have liked if they did more with the zucchini rather than cook them whole, but it was still delicious. The only dish I personally didn’t care for much was the cauliflower. It seemed under cooked and just lazily placed on top of a curry sauce. The starter tomato salad we had was also delicious; excellently seasoned and not too acidic. This was the best meal I had in Tel Aviv. It felt like a light meal yet I was satiated. My one criticism: the host wasn’t very friendly. Made us feel distant and unwelcome when we told her we didn’t have a reservation. The server was excellent though, we had the Argentinian guy.

Exactly what fine dining is all about. Beautifully crafted dishes that manage to be both recognizable and yet surprising. Fantastic wine by the glass selection. Prices not extreme. Atmosphere - one of the best in Tel Aviv. Staff know exactly what they are doing and have a very good understanding of the menu. Don't miss!

Such a lovely place, hidden from a street noise, with jazz music (payed when we were there, but who knows what's coming ;P) and decent cocktails. We didn't eat much, since we were full, but i couldn't resist their grilled octopus salad > this was a delicious as I imagined from reading the menu.

Absolutely incredible - the best meal I ate in Israel, which speaks for itself in a city of superlative dining experiences. The masabacha, bread and salads were delicious, and the slow-roasted lamb was so good that we actually returned to eat here again a few days later. Service was friendly and the ambiance was wonderful too. My favourite place! EDIT: Returned a year later and the service, food and vibes are still outstanding 😊

Has potential but overall very overrated . The food was mediocre, didn't blow my mind like the hype on this place. We arrived in the evening group of 4 and it was still hot outside so not very comfortable to sit if it's not inside. Service is fine, but could be better. Some of the dishes were very small, the amount is not worth the price, most of them are really pretentious.

Used to be very good gave them 5⭐️ 6 months ago. Used to have a happy hour which was perfect! Now - too pricey, service is ok but!!! I requested Trinidad - A classic cocktail, got it with a twist which was nice. The bad part is *nobody told me* it costs 76ils!!!!!!! 1 glass !!! As they saw my reaction they gave a 20ils discount. Still for 4 people 724 before tipping is exaggerated by far!

Shila, a renowned restaurant in Tel Aviv, was founded in 2006 by chef Sharon Cohen. The establishment has become a culinary institution known for its innovative fine dining menu and extensive wine selection. Specializing in Spanish cuisine with a focus on fresh fish and high-quality ingredients, the restaurant reflects Cohen's culinary expertise and passion for the sea.
Hip and busy, Shila was recommended to us as a top tip for a great dinner. The seafood was incredible and went well with the great white wines on selection. A little on the pricey side if you indulge in the wines!

Exceptional meal. Ordered the prix fixe dinner for 2, with one of the best fresh excellently prepared fish, sea bream, I think, and house bread with 2 terrific dips, tomato and cilantro. Good wine menu and knowledgeable and helpful sommelier. Good service. Happening, full space with good vibes. Definitely top tier status.

Definitely a 5 star. Everything, from the service, to how welcoming the staff were. And than to the food! We didn’t eat any of the meats as the place is known for its sea food. Everything was perfection. The seasoning! Only thing that was good and not great - was the creme brûlée. But it was still pretty good.

When in Tel Aviv, give it a try. It is on the pricy side, yet the city vibes are totally worth it. The food had some highlights, we were dissatisfied and disappointed by one of the seafood dishes. Manager was ontop of it and helped us find a different dish much to our satisfaction. All in all I would still recommend to try it.

Birthday at Shila. If you’d like to eat fish in Tel Aviv this place is number one. My husband booked us a table for 3 persons and we’re with a stroller and 3 months old. We got 2 main dishes and one from the “in between” section.

Shila has been at the forefront of the dining scene in Tel Aviv and it is easy to see why it remains one of the top restaurants in Tel-aviv Jaffa. Having tried numerous seafood restaurants, it still takes the lead in excellent fresh cooking with the excellent quality ingredients. A few dishes we asked for weren’t available but I’m not sure if that’s because of supply but the waitress was very good at guiding us towards other great dishes. Shila is a bustling and vibrant restaurant, we sat outside and could watch all the people come in and out and soak up the atmosphere. The food is Mediterranean focussed and we tried a number of seafood dishes: the grilled blue crab was excellent, the beef tartare wrapped in cabbage was unique and delicious, the lobster ravioli was scrumptious and the desserts hit the spot. The complementary chocolate ice cream was a lovely touch. See photos for what we ate. Please try!

Mashya is a trendy restaurant located in the Mendeli Street Hotel in Tel Aviv, offering a fusion of Moroccan and Middle Eastern cuisine. Chef Yossi Shitrit's innovative approach to traditional dishes includes using 18 different spices in the legendary bread and presenting it on a tree branch. The menu features inventive, molecular dishes such as shrimp with corn foam and raw tuna topped with molecular aubergine cream.
First time in Mashya for the brunch Menu, food was plentiful and good, wide selection of spreads, breads and assorted fish in the buffet, for the a la carte dish my eggs Benedict were well made and seasoned, the other people in our party tried the avocado with poached egg which was both tasty and very pretty (the kitchen arranged the avocado in a complex flower shape on the bagel). Service was good and food was excellent. I would say that the atmosphere in the morning is very different from the evening atmosphere, much more subdued and in a way lacking the special vibes you enjoy when visiting Mashya after dark. We have enjoyed ourselves
Elad S — Google review
Genuinely one of the very best meals of my life. One of those meals you come away from not thinking "I'll try that" but with no comprehension of how they did that with that. The mixture of seafood and meat and generally things that should not all be on one plate was genius. But, despite all of the contrasts there remained a consistent theme throughout the food and focus on ingredients. At no point could you be confused about what you were eating, only how they'd managed it. Perfectly matched by excellent service from our waiter, Elad who clearly genuinely cared about the food and our enjoyment of it. Excellent value for money. I can't recommend this highly enough.

The food is fresh and testy, presented nicely, service is attentive, breads are nice. If considering the food on a chef level category we felt that it didn’t was up to par considering to the price… so was fairly standard dishes. Enjoyable though I can’t say we will return.

-Some of the most interesting and tasty food I've gad so far. Not always done perfectly though -Service is impeccable. We were constantly given attention. We were also given bread refills and some small servings to taste -Rather pricey. Can be mitigated by eating there at noon the "business" dishes Update: Having been a guest at the hotel above the restaurant I can add they serve the best breakfast in Tel Aviv. Exquisite!

Amazing food! Amazing wine selection! Amazing staff! Amazing ambience. Mediocre desserts. We literally ordered most of the menu and the whole dessert menu. The food itself was amazing. Well balanced, perfectly cooked. The desserts were really disappointing and not interesting. But overall, since everything els was so good. I’ll give it a 5.

Mashya is a fantastic place. When you arrive, you’re greeted with a beautiful stone facade welcoming smokers to leave the dining area free of ash trays and the like. Entering into the atrium, there is a sense of spaciousness, a luxury unattended to by Israel’s busy eateries. The place feels special and in some sub-conscious way, this makes the evening feel special. Israel bears a restaurant culture of its own, and here it’s customary for the staff to treat you as a friend. Sometimes this comes at the expense of actual service, but I prefer familiarity to stuffiness. Mashya’s team stands apart from the crowd. They manage to balance familiarity with a far more aloof quality in this scene: professionalism. Here, service coming from a “friend” with a side of a chaser doesn’t mean that you’re waiting fifteen minutes for someone to take an order. The food comes out at the right time, not while you’re eating your previous course and never after you’ve had to remind them of your order. Perhaps this standard is too low, but in a country which cherishes the absolutely mediocre “Shila” as fine dining, this standard feels appropriate. The food leaves little to be desired. The tasting menu is a true tasting, with at minimum 8 different bites, and a proper sequence of vegetables, raw fish, raw meat, bread, cooked fish, cooked meat, and sweets. Mashya takes the classic approach and mates it to a french-fusion menu that holds local sourcing in high regard. The dishes aren’t as adventurous as those in some of the country’s other leading restaurants (perhaps those by Yossi Shitrit or Avi Comforti), but they certainly match or surpass the creativity on display in the popular Machane Yehuda, the celebrity Jaffa Tel Aviv or the highly rated Animar. Where Mashya really shines is in the sauce. Beef tartares and sashimis are wonderfully fresh, but they could’ve remained nothing special, were it not for the phenomenal sauces. The execution matches the ambition and every dish is a success, a quality patrons long for in any restaurant run by the legendary comedian Eyal Shani. Overall, this is a superb spot for an upscale dinner, with a wonderful tasting of small plates that makes special occasions feel truly special. An easy 5/5.

Claro, located in the Sarona district, is a spacious and charming restaurant housed in a historic stone Templar building. The restaurant offers farm-to-table Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on local produce. Chef Ran Shmueli's menu features pan-Mediterranean interpretations, such as oven-roasted whole corn with bacon butter and sour cream aioli. The industrial-chic dining room provides ample seating, while the open kitchen adds to the lively atmosphere.
Great place, loved it! The food was very good and delicious, the staff were super friendly, and welcoming. Seriously I can't think of any issues there, it is expensive yes, but you get what you pay, so much guess it's worth it. Oh also the coffee was amazing at the end.

The food menu is very interesting and apparently based on local products from the Galilee region. The dishes are not generous, and in my opinion, could be more generous. The restaurant doesn't have good acoustics and is somewhat noisy, which in a restaurant of this category and these prices could be more appropriate. The experience was very good, but some details could be improved.

The host would not let my family sit inside with my kids and only offered seating where people smoked outside even with inside non-smoking tables available. My kids are young and are not ok to sit by smokers. The service and hostesses were very disappointing. They only wanted kids outside in the smoking area. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Highly recommended for a business lunch or even the first date

Amazing. I have to return to this place just so I can try dishes I haven't tried yet. We only had starters which I think is a great idea because you get to taste many delicious things. Nothing was simple and known, so you really get to try new flavors. The waitresses were nice, food arrived quickly and cocktails were great.

Great restaurant. The place itself is beautiful and looks amazing, It has an open kitchen with a bar around it where you can sit and watch all the action. The stuff was nice and polite. Food was good, I ate the asparagus gnocchi which was delicious, it had some interesting subtle taste to it. On the other hand we ordered a fish dish that came with a way too much garlicky sauce, I would not recommend that one. In addition, we got the bread dish which was awesome! For dessert, we ordered the ice cream which came in unique flavours and was delicious. The menu is changing all the time here so you might not find these courses. Of course the prices are not cheap but they are not too expensive, especially at lunch.

You’ll find seating both indoors and outdoors, which is convenient. In the evening it’s fairly relaxed, but not all vendors are open. At lunchtime, however, the place gets absolutely packed. Overall, a very enjoyable spot to visit — definitely recommended.

Very nice air-conditioned market. Food variety were aplenty. Perfect place for a hot day to come for lunch/drinks and to do some quick shopping It is conveniently located to Tel Aviv’s train station, and there are major shopping malls nearby as well. There are a lot of parking options around the office buildings (though they are a little bit pricy)

Contrary to everyone's opinion and the way it looks like when you first arrive, I didn't like it. Yes - great first impression. Good visuals, nice presentation, seems like there is a lot to pick from, but - there isn't. It's extremely expensive and the food is pretty much the same as any street market. I'd rather visit the old city. It's fine if you're near it, and if you can find it, because of constructions and misleading location markers, but don't expect too much and maybe you'll like it better. I expected more variety. Maybe some places were just closed, I don't know. I only had a craft beer that nobody cared to tell me the name of, it was very good.

Sarona Market is a cool place to visit in Tel Aviv. It is a covered market and a meeting hub full of food stores selling meats, cheeses, breads, alcohol and also small eateries with Israel food, Japanese cuisine, pizza, pasta and more. Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Sarona market is more like a food court. There are food shops and many restaurants inside. The design is contemporary, it is nice and clean. I loved the most the surroundings - small, old houses, parks and everything surrounded by skyscrapers. A great mix of modern and traditional. Little europe in middle of tel aviv. Nice place to hang out with various shops. You can have a drink on a bar, eat delicious deserts and many multiple choices of great street food - some pf them belong to chef restaurants. Must visit when you are exploring tlv. You can easily spend 2 -3 hours here.

In general, this is a beautiful place. I was in Sukkot, so there were a lot of people. I saw a variety of food for everybody, some stores, places to drink, and sweets. I want to come back in calmer days.

Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Very nice tea shop, eastern sweets shop, tahini and halva place, ice cream factory and many others not vegan, meat and cheese places. Nice surroundings with restored old buildings and a water lily's pond. A lot of modern architectural structures nearby.

Hummus Abu Hassan is a legendary spot in Jaffa, Israel, known for its iconic hummus that has reached legendary status. The place is always crowded with people eager to savor their creamy chickpea dish, often leading to long lines and a bustling atmosphere. It's recommended to arrive early as they tend to run out of supplies by 2 pm due to their immense popularity.
Really fantastic service, unbelievably good hummus with fast and attentive service. Despite my love of ful I'd say skip it here. Lovely lemony kick to the hummus.

Best hummus in Tel Aviv - and absolute must visit if you are a tourist and a favorite of locals as well. I would recommend this place to everyone. A quick and delicious lunch at a great price too!

A typical simple eatery. You seat in comunal tables ask your food eat and leave. Cheap and great hummus. Staff is still friendly with the rush and turnover. A true experience.
Xuma R — Google review
I've been coming here for decades! The taste and quality of the food didn't change. Fresh and tasty. To the point you cannot hold yourself from ordering seconds. The service is welcoming, friendly and extremely effective service, even at the busiest time. My favorite place among many that I've been to, across multiple countries and food types.
Avi S — Google review
As a hummus lover, this place did not disappoint. In fact, it served a fresh, light hummus that left me wanting more. This place is pretty hyped and I'm happy to say that it lived up to my expectations. While it's famous for it's whole chickpea hummus, musabaha, the regular hummus was the winner to me. But because both were tasty, I think we are all winners as long as we go here to eat. Because I just couldn't get enough, I also tried one of their other locations, and I'm happy to say that they were just as tasty and served eggs too, something that wasn't on offer in this place, which is the original location. Sidenote: A friend's mom used to eat here when she was a kid in Israel and was surprised it still existed.

The Best Hummus in Town! No wait at all and got a table immediately. Try their regular and their spicy hummus! Service is really quick and their quantity is good. For two people, get one and share and you should be set! Very filling and healthy!

Delicious hummus! Very simple to order, you only have 3 options to choose from. Hummus is really fresh, bread is also good. Try scooping the hummus with the onion they give you, I thought I wasn't going to like it but it was a pleasant surprise. See more of my pictures on Instagram: lizzario_photoart

One of the best Hummus spots in the world hands down! I totally recommend the Massabacha dish with the spicy-lemony-garlicy sauce that comes along with it. Another very popular choice is the Meshulash dish that contains regular Hummus, Massabacha and Fuul (Fava beans) all in one dish. The only improvement that I can recommend is the pita's.. they should be warm and fresher.

M25 is a carnivore's paradise located just off the bustling Carmel Market in Israel. The restaurant takes its name from being 25 meters away from a high-end butcher, emphasizing its commitment to quality meat. This unassuming eatery offers Middle Eastern classics with a fresh twist, such as arayes and perfectly smoked shawarma served on tahini. With a menu that changes daily, M25 is known for its deliciously juicy flavors and thick cuts of meat cooked to perfection.
A hidden gem! If you’re a meat lover, this is your place! Can order off the menu or go to the butcher’s glass and choose your own steak, skewers, beef, chicken, and many other options. They weigh it for you and then grill it to perfection. Everything we ordered (& we ordered a lot of food for 8 people!) was delicious! Yummy grilled vegetables on the side. Their Shuk Green salad was excellent! And to top it all off, the desserts were so delicious! The best malabi we’ve ever had! We sure hope to make it back again soon!
Dorit H — Google review
This is not a good place to eat meat. I had a ribeye, medium rare. And it was a challenge to chew it, and I even cut it. A good place to try brain nuggets. The tartar was just bad. The taste of vinegar instead of beef. That would be a reasonable place for 1/3 of the price. But for restaurant prices you could go just anywhere else. Another thing is the atmosphere. This is literally a table on the market without AC.
Dmitry R — Google review
I used to love this place, but unfortunately, the standards have slipped. The stuffed onion was quite dry and really could have used a sauce to bring it together. The Arais had a surprisingly small amount of meat inside—definitely not what it used to be. On a positive note, the service was excellent—very warm and welcoming.
Eyal M — Google review
Looks like a value spot, but prices are ridiculous. I ordered two small lamb chops and it was NIS 118(!). Quality was fine, nothing special. With so many better meat places in Tel Aviv, this isn’t worth the time or money. Service also wasn’t as friendly or helpful as you’d expect in Tel Aviv.
Avihu T — Google review
Great place. Delicious salads, I tend to avoid ordering steaks, they are expensive like everywhere in Israel and do not reach the level of meat in the US. All other dishes are interesting and delicious.
Shaul R — Google review
Keep it simple, as a concept, but very well executed. Probably the best meat restaurant experience I have ever visited. Side dishes and desserts are delicious such as the starters and the main portions. Service is extremely dedicated and willing to guide you from the moment you enter and until you leave. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. Recommended!

What a fantastic place! We came here for lunch on Friday and had such a great time. Come early to secure your seat as this place can get crowded. All the meat are delicious but the "Raeise" is the best thing there. It's a pita backed with meet in it... It's amazing.
Amir S — Google review
Boutique butchery shop turned restaurant, following the trend of opening restaurants at the markets. Run by serious meat freaks who offer best and local quality of beef for pretty steep prices. I have ate it all to recommend the pita dishes over your typical steaks. You probably will do great with everything on the menu, but arais and shawarma really stand out. Avoid on Fridays, unless sweating in queue at the market is your thing

Santa Katarina, located on the western side of the Big Synagogue compound in Tel Aviv, is a modern Israeli restaurant known for its creative cocktails and daily changing menu. The eatery, established by local chefs, features a large stone tabun oven and offers contemporary dishes infused with regional flavors. With an effortlessly fashionable ambiance, it serves up ethnic cuisine using the best local ingredients and meticulous attention to detail.
One of the most fun places in the city. The prices are good, but also every dish is tasty, very interesting and special. Literally Israeli modern cuisine. Shishbarak is a must!

Top Tel Aviv favorite for Mediterranean food and good drinks. They have good pizza and the minute steak sandwich is one of the best items on menu. The dishes are on the smaller side and great for sharing.

Went here on a special occasion. The food was fantastic. We sat on the bar which gave us the wonderful experience of watching it all being made. It was very balanced, well seasoned and thought of. The service was on the okay side for such a restaurant. Plates weren’t cleaned up on time and we were initially double charged for a bottle of wine that we wanted to order but they didn’t have.

I was hesitant to eat here, but happy I did. We went on a Saturday night, the ambiance wasn’t great but stayed anyways. I got the lamb and it was delicious. So much juice and flavor and in the top lamb I’ve ever had. It came with 3 pcs. 2 of them were great and the 3rd was not good at all - tasted almost frozen or just too over cooked. There was also this like meatball inside the dish which was divine. I would definitely return here and I recommend it.

Tomer Agaai's Chef restaurant offers amazing Mediterranean cuisine elevated to a superior class without being all too brag about it. We met for a casual fun dinner and selected a list of starters, main courses and desert with some nice cocktails on the side. The food was superb, with special tastes and touches - offering high quality without the typical pretentious attitude chef restaurants typically comes with (and we loved it!). The Red Tuna tartare was special and the veal chops was a generous dish with 3 types of elements in one amazing dish (stuffed onions, special kebab and the veal of course). Don't miss the amazing, freshly baked Jerusalem Bagel with the dips on the side, and must try the whiskey sour (although it is not on the regular menu. As for the desert - we tried the Knaffe, which is a special treat and highly recommended.

We have a long lasting relationship with this place and it keeps getting better. Food is wonderful, service is great and the atmosphere is always good. The menu is never boring and we keep finding something that surprises us. Not cheap by any means (well, it’s TLV), but definitely worth it, every time.

Most of the dishes we ordered were perfect or close to being perfect. Kubeniye was delicious. The crab Burik was perfect. The ox tail tortellini was also delicious. The problem was with the sweetbread skewer ("Shkedei Egel") - it was horrible. Chewy, gummy, inedible. The potato gratin it came with was extremely salty and also inedible. We had to return this dish. The pizza, which chef Tomer always brags about on tv, was mediocre. It wasn't fully baked, but even if it was, it still wasn't great. The cocktail was one of the best cocktails I had.

Charming location behind the great synagoge of Tel-Aviv. Romantic lights and arcs makes the atmosphere very special. The food served was really very very delicious. Shaffa Bar is a lively restaurant in Sydney, Australia, offering Israeli-style cuisine with fresh ingredients and a friendly staff. We had a blast and the food was DELICIOUS. Me and my friend visited Shaffa Bar on a Monday night, they had live music from 9pm and they also have live music every Friday from 7pm. We came across this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised to find a really nice spot with a great, fun atmosphere. The menu doesn’t have a huge variety of vegan dishes, but there are definitely a few options to choose from. Service was quick, though a bit scattered, but it didn’t ruin the experience at all. On top of that, a local band started performing a lovely surprise. Highly recommended!

Fine dining restaurant
OCD TLV is a unique dining experience in Tel Aviv, offering a seasonally adapted set menu created by Chef Raz Rahav and his talented team. With a commitment to sustainability, the restaurant has received accolades for its innovative use of kitchen scraps and produce that would typically go to waste. Seating only 23 guests per evening around the open kitchen, diners can witness the bustling culinary action while enjoying progressive Israeli cooking.
It was really great! ‏We parked in a nearby parking lot two minutes walk from the restaurant. The restaurant itself seats about 20 diners and reservations must be made in advance. ‏The seating is at the bar and in the middle there is the kitchen with all the cooks and you can see their work really beautifully. By the way, you can see that they work clean and tidy. ‏After you sit down, the dishes start flowing. In my opinion, every 10 minutes or less a portion comes out. Small portions at first, then larger portions and desserts of course. With every dish comes an explanation about it. The dishes themselves are very special, many of them consist of a single raw material but in a variety of forms, textures and flavors. ‏We also talked to a few cooks who seem to be waiting for questions and making their time especially for you. ‏Overall, the restaurant is very special, they change the menu every few months. After reservation, you can ask for sutibale menu for you food preferences. ‏expensive but matches what you get so no complaints. ‏We will definitely come back, it was fun, tasty and very interesting.

One of the best chefs in Israel, really innovative and tries to grow the Israeli culinary industry. There is much accuracy, quality and innovation in the food. Still its not good value for money, it's not a Michelin star, not all meals are great, some you even won't like. I hope at some point it will grow more and all the meals will blow my mind, but it's not yet there.
Eyal A — Google review
Amazing experience at this unique restaurant. We've been waiting for this order almost an year. But as we tasted the food we knew it was worth waiting. The restaurant designed to only 2 runs per day if I'm not wrong so in every run there is about 20 people. Everyone get the same food at the same time (almost). We asked for Gluten free option as some of the group had allergy, sadly we vegan to but this was to much for them (and I understand, that is reasonable). The food was very special and very delicious. The staff was explaining the food when serving the plates. Great place ,very pricey. Recommended very much !
Edgar A — Google review
This was a very interesting and fun experience. Literally food for thought. Most of the dishes were interesting and deep both texture and flavors wise. The service was overall superb, with the cooks also being the ones serving the food. The olive oil jam is the invention of the century. Can’t wait to come again!
Simona M — Google review
The fact that someone gave this place a Michelin star is truly baffling. I’ve eaten all over Tel Aviv, and unfortunately, this place is a perfect reflection of what’s gone wrong with the city’s dining scene — offensively lazy and uninspired food dressed up as something “elevated.” The dishes here feel more like half-hearted imitations of fine dining than genuine culinary creativity. What makes it even more absurd is that this restaurant somehow has a Michelin star. For what, exactly? Certainly not for originality, flavor, or service. The staff couldn’t answer basic questions about the ingredients or preparation of what they were serving, and their attempts to sound knowledgeable just made things worse. It’s all style over substance — a restaurant trying to convince you it’s something it isn’t. If this is what passes for Michelin-worthy in Tel Aviv, then the bar has fallen embarrassingly low.
Kristo P — Google review
Brunch time! This is a less expansive fixed meal that happens once a week. A whole different vibe, whole different dishes, but everything is made to perfection. So many kinds of amazing breads. We also got some fish (great), beef tartar (perfect) and a pork belly dish (best) that was just so good. Beware that this is a very heavy meal with a lot of different dishes, so don't dive into the bread of you don't have the capacity to eat so much. Because if you miss a dish, it is a shame. As usual, the staff is making everything in front of you, and the waiters make great job of making sure that you are well served. In the price of the meal you get mineral water or sparking water, and they have a small but very good selection of wine! So even if you've been here before In the evening service, this is a different animal. If you haven't been here before, this is a great place to start if the prices for the evening are too much for you. Great brunch, great staff, great restaurant. Probably the closest thing to Michelin star worthy restaurant in Israel. Don't miss it
Idan T — Google review
We had an amazing time here! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The entire experience was amazing as each one of the chefs came and explained on the different dishes. The food was extremely unique, delicious and nothing like things we have tried before. I loved the interpretation the made to a few home traditional dishes. Such a great experience!!
E H — Google review
It is an experience, that's for sure. You get a 12 course tasting menu (which changes every 3-4 months) The place is gorgeous and you can watch the chefs prepare and cook everything which is nice and interesting. The service was impeccable. I judge such restaurants by the taste of everything and by how special/unique/exciting the food was. In terms of how special everything was and the new flavors and techniques I tried for the first time, I would give this place 10/10. In terms of how everything tasted - most dishes were incredible (7 dishes out of 12), some were just ok, and a few were awful, unfortunately. For example, we got the beef tongue while our vegetarian friends got a fish, which was inedible becauseit tasted terrible. The last dessert was a chocolate praline, which was also awful. You know how sometimes you get a chocolate praline box from a supermarket as a gift and there are always a few pralines which you hate? This is how we all felt (6 of us). Because of that, I rank the food in terms of taste 7/10. I think overall, this place deserves 4.3/5 or 8.6/10.

Nestled in the historic heart of Old Jaffa, JASIA is a delightful culinary gem that brings together the childhood dreams of two friends who share a deep passion for Asian cuisine. Their unique menu showcases an exciting blend of flavors from Japan, Thailand, India, and China while incorporating authentic elements from Jaffa's rich culinary heritage. The charming ambiance of this ancient stone building sets the perfect backdrop for enjoying their innovative dishes.
This isn't our first time in Jasia restaurant, but eventime we eat there we really enjoy the quality of the food, it's the tastiest Asian food in the area, they are generous with their serving sizes, the most welcoming owners we have ever met very friendly down to earth people, the owner even went and made our meals himself to make sure we enjoy every bit of it. The staff is also very professional, friendly and amazing really. You might go in having a bad day, but for sure you'll get out with a smile on your face having had a nice experience, I'm sure you'll enjoy the rest of your day! 😍 Although i didn't get a chance to take pictures of all what we had but some of the dishes I did..

This Asian restaurant serves the BEST asian cuisine in Jaffa, if not in Israel! We were 7 in our group and the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Natalie and led to our table. Gave us the menus and waited patiently to get our orders. While we wait for our food, she brought 2 free appetizers so we can munch on something - their bread with homemade hummus (really delicious) and breaded cauliflower and cucumber with its own sauce. If you have tried Asian cuisine before, you may be familiar with the name of the dishes and may look the same as you have tried before BUT, do not make the mistake of thinking that ALL Asian food taste the same, we got all the ones we knew and they all never tasted familiar, each dish presented a unique taste and texture!!! From fried rice with shrimp, fried fish, sushi salad, buttered calamari and shrimp, egg rolls and to top it off, their on the house coconut dessert --- every dish was top notch!!! Thank you for making our first time trip to Jaffa a fantasic experience at your restaurant! Kudos to the chef and staff of Jasia!

Excellent food with great food and stylish ambience. The restaurant provided a complimentary appetizer trio of tahini with a splash of sweet and sour sauce, yogurt, pickled vegetables, and bread. To my surprise, the fusion of flavors worked very well together. I ordered the massaman curry (which came with basmati rice flavored similarly to a biryani). The entree was delicious and curry portion was substantial (although I ended up needing to order some extra white rice). The service was prompt and friendly, with easy communication in English. The restaurant and bar are well-designed with a relaxing music choice. I would highly recommend trying out this place if in the area!

If I could give 100 stars, I would give 100 stars. My first visit was alone, and the second time I came with my sister to celebrate my birthday. I have nothing but praise — this place simply exceeds every possible expectation. Everything is stunningly beautiful, the food is delicious, the wine is exceptional, the service is impeccable, and the concept, the music, the bar, and the presentation of the dishes are all perfect. You feel completely cared for — as if you’re being gently held in warm, welcoming hands. I highly, highly recommend this place. George & John is located on the ground floor of the historic Drisco Hotel in the heart of Jaffa. Led by Chef Tomer Tal, the kitchen focuses on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients presented with contemporary Israeli creativity. The wine list features around 250 premium local and international labels. The atmosphere combines the charm of a heritage building with modern luxury and an elegant, refined style. With its ambiance, attention to detail, creativity, and world-class service, George & John is without doubt one of the finest dining experiences in Israel — a place to return to again and again. We had both a dinner and a breakfast at the restaurant. The dinner was very good, as you would expect with a restaurant like that. For starters we had the chicken liver mousse and the Intias tartar. Both were very good, balanced tastes, although nothing spectacular. For main course I had the sea bass which was the highlight of the meal and my wife and the pasta with the lamb which was rich in tastes. For desserts we took the chocolate dish and the bread pudding - both were also very tasty. I would skip the chocolate dish unless you are a chocolate craving person. The breakfast, however, was less impressive. I took the grilled cheese toast but the cheese was not really grilled all the way was was a bummer... my wife took the Benedict Drisco which was nice but not more than that. There is also a buffet table with pastries that we skipped.

Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and excellent service. We had the couple's tasting menu, which included a variety of well-presented dishes. Starters (liver mousse and sashimi) were fresh and flavorful, the fish with asparagus was excellent, and dessert (profiteroles with ice cream) was a perfect sweet ending. The risotto was the only dish that felt average. Overall, a lovely experience – good food ,pleasant ambiance, and attentive staff. Recommended!

I heard so much about this restaurant and expected more. Waiters were getting the orders wrong and forgetting things; food was expensive and meat was great but some of the other dishes and deserts were average. Sea tartar was so full of coriander that killed all other taste, and it was not even mentioned in the ingredients. Atmosphere was ok but also more on the basic side. Lack of attention to details or creating exclusive experience.

Just wow. This place is part of the Driscoll hotel which is a Relais & Chateaux establishment. Relais & Chateaux have very rigorous requirements for their member establishments: impeccable service; impeccable hospitality, impeccable food (a lot of their France-based restaurants are michelin starred for instance). This place meets all the requirements and beyond. The space itself is gorgeous and every detail is tasteful, inside and out. Every dish was original and perfectly prepared - a joy. Cocktails were delicious. Service was discreet yet attentive; professional yet friendly - every staff member made us feel welcome and was genuinely happy to host us. The manager leads the way by being extremely on top of things, noticing everything and addressing it before you even thought to complain. Would recommend wholeheartedly. A perfect place to celebrate or just treat yourself. Enjoy 😊

The food was below average. The service was good. The restaurant is in a historic building that was renovated to a high finished and beautiful standard. Recommend to go for a drink as the setting is lovely but skip dinner.

Beit Kandinof is a charming and traditional eatery and art gallery located in a historic building in Old Jaffa. The space also serves as an art studio, featuring five galleries with rotating exhibitions from Tel Aviv's modern art scene. Chefs Yogev Yaros and Shami Golomb offer a menu that combines Mediterranean cuisine with Arabic Jaffa influences, including dishes like tuna ceviche with mango curry, smoked eggplant dumplings, and slow-cooked lamb spare ribs.
Such a wonderful experience! First of all the restaurant is extremely artsy and beautiful. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and nice. The food was absolutely delicious, and I admire the fact that they grow their herbs and vegetables there. The dishes are nicely portioned and super tasty. I absolutely loved their Sea Bisque with shrimps and the crack pie. Totally recommend!!

Really nice place however pricey. The food overall was good, I thought the steak had a Smokey flavor that seemed a bit too much, I would’ve preferred the classic pepper and salt and maybe a sauce on the side. The filet of catch of the day was wonderful with a delicious sauce swimming in it. The French fries were terrible, they came out dry and stale, then after returning them and having a short argument with the waiter, they quickly sent back a new fries however they weren’t tasty at all, the mashed potatoes were amazing though, and they comped the French fries (which was the least they could do).

Love this place for its unique style. The food is really good and authentic. My dream is that all places in Israel would have the same kind of aesthetic as Bait Kandinof. A little bit pricey, but worth it. The staff is great too.

Fantastic restaurant serving delicious food. The salad was so simple but tasted incredible. The food portions are good, and tastes are rich. Small plates vibe, so we shared between our family of 5. Staff very welcoming and friendly and decor is great. We visited during their happy hour, 5 til 7, and received 30% off the bill. Even without the discount, it's not bad value for what you get.

Beautiful interior design, great food and good cocktails. There is even a (paid) parking lot in front of the restaurant. While I wouldn't say any of the dishes or drinks blew my mind, everything was very good, expertly crafted and aesthetic. I'd choose this place if I wanted a lovely, chill night out more than if I was looking for the best foodie experience in town.

Exceptional menu in a beautiful Old Jaffa building. Highly recommend the fish tartare appetizer and the dumpling main course (vegetarian and soooo good!) Loved the old world aesthetic with concrete, rebar, and candlelight!

Bait Kandinof is a true Tel Aviv gem. The food is always amazing, and no matter the occasion, I find myself coming back again and again. The service is remarkable, and the atmosphere somehow always makes me feel at home. It’s my number one spot in Tel Aviv!

We reserved a private room for a birthday celebration. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful, and the room itself was very unique, it had a very urban artistic vibe to it (due to the special raw walls and huge painting inside). The food was excellent! we enjoyed every bit of it. We had a variety of starters to share and mains as well. We left not crumbs behind.. everything was so flavourful and delicious, arrived quite quickly. Dishes portions are medium size (not huge..), take that into consideration when ordering. Other than that, we had a great time here!

Kab Kem is a vibrant and lively Thai restaurant and tapas bar that offers a combination of spicy Thai dishes, specialty cocktails, and a selection of sake and beers. The restaurant features Asian-inspired decor with stylish light fixtures and wooden furnishings. It also has an enclosed al fresco area for winter dining. The name 'Kab Kem' translates to a gathering of friends or family for leisure and celebration, reflecting the inviting atmosphere of the restaurant.
Kab Kem yummy Thai food, amazing cocktails, and a vibe that makes you want to stay more. The atmosphere is energetic and stylish any day any time… Definitely one of Tel Aviv’s must-visit spots!

Good atmosphere and tasty food, special dishes - mostly northern Thailand and fusion of Thai with something else. For the (very) high price of some of the dishes, they're pretty tiny though.
Ilya G — Google review
Thai restaurant with Tel Aviv’s nightlife vibes. This restaurant is a MUST place to visit. It offers fine dishes with Thai flavors (and spicy). The cocktails are amazing specially the one with the Gin and sake. The place is well designed and the service is kind. Don’t forget to take sticky rice to enjoy the sauce of each dish. The dish with the lettuce and the fish is WOW. Also the dessert with banana-lotti.
K M — Google review
Not the best Thai. Mainly focusing on north Thai cousin, so no curry. Dishes were good and some were great. Though, not having an authentic curry dish made an impact on our experience. Also. If you don’t sit inside, there’s no vibe at all and you’re better off eating at Thai at mount sinai for a 1000 times better Thai for 1/3 of price.
Dor — Google review
The atmosphere is undeniably pleasant, though the space does feel somewhat cramped during the midday service, particularly when navigating between tables. The food, while adequate, did not rise beyond the ordinary. We sampled five dishes: the recommended Pad See Ew, the Butcher’s Cut, Papaya Salad, Shrimp Cakes, and the Pla Dip. The Pad See Ew was enjoyable enough, yet offered little that felt distinctive or memorable. The Papaya Salad, though refreshing in intent, was overwhelmed by excess liquid and an unexpectedly large quantity of tomatoes that seemed disproportionate. The Butcher’s Cut, regrettably, proved the greatest disappointment—overly salted and somewhat disconnected from the culinary narrative we had anticipated. We left with a sense of mild disappointment, perhaps a reflection of our own heightened expectations that this experience would deliver a true “wow” factor. On a brighter note, the pricing is fair, and the service is marked by genuine warmth and attentiveness—qualities that deserve recognition.
Raanan A — Google review
I love Thai food so I may be biased, but this place serves good Thai food. The dishes are not spicy even though they are marked as spicy (with pepper icons). Thai food must have a kick and be spicy and that was missing to really take the dishes to the next level. Other than that the flavors were there and everything we ordered was pretty good.
Yuval B — Google review
We arrived for spontaneous late dine during the week and were warmly accepted and got a table in 20 min, while enjoying a drink. The food is really good and service is great, the taste is authentic and spicy as it should, but the whole vibe is fun and vibrant. The Som Tam is super, spicy and fresh, and the special slices butcher's cut it super tasty. The only downside is the portion sizes which is somewhat small compared to the pricey menu.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Tel Aviv, Minzar is a beloved neighborhood pub that captures the essence of local life. Often bustling with energy, this spot is where many head to unwind after a long day. Its charm lies in its unpretentious atmosphere and eclectic mix of patrons, from market-goers to night owls. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, it offers a cozy bar experience complemented by an impressive selection of beers at wallet-friendly prices.
Great bar with a nice and welcoming atmosphere. The vibe is lively but not overwhelming, making it a perfect spot to unwind. A Tel Aviv institution. Laid back bar with an excellent menu that changes constantly. This is not the place for refined dining, but the food is very good and on par with a casual restaurant. You can definitely go there for a meal. And they are open every day of the week.
Jacob C — Google review
My favorite spot in Tel Aviv. Good food, reasonably priced. Good service. I prefer the bar to the tables, personally.
Uri A — Google review
Minzar is the great Tel Aviv nightlife survivor. It has weathered greedy developers, restrictive licencing laws, a global pandemic, and nearby terrorist attacks, and is still going strong. Great beers (some just about affordable by Tel Aviv standards) served in proper glasses, super late opening hours, and a much improved food menu. It has been around since the early '90s which is why I choose to stick by it on visits to Israel, despite the absolute ghoul currently working the bar. Growing up in Israel, you have a fairly thick skin when it comes to customer service and what to expect, but the jaw-dropping levels of unapologetic awfulness flaunted by this guy - from slamming drinks in front of you to not even being arsed to tell you the price of something when all you're doing is trying to pay, answering in English when you address him in Hebrew (fluent Hebrew speaker to be clear, as am I), and mocking a customer who'd stormed out after being offended by his attitude - and these are just select highlights of an exhaustive list - would shock even the most feral of locals. I've been drinking at Minzar since the nineties and will still be there, long after this sad excuse of a server has been given the boot, but until then - any visit to Minzar will be enjoyed in spite of this guy's best efforts to make sure you run a mile the other way and never look back.
Eran E — Google review
Tel Aviv is very high paced with lots of places open and close all the time. Stands out the iconic Minzar, which never disappoints with excellent beer selection, best food you can wish for (in a pub) and awesome signature vibe. Opens early on and always busy with market goers, tourists and later on with loyal crowds to finish the night. This place is a must.

Carmel Market, the largest shuk in Tel Aviv, is an open-air market offering a wide array of local produce, spices, grocery items, and home goods. The market also features dining options where visitors can enjoy gourmet wine and tapas at Basta or savor Israeli meat dishes at M25. Additionally, there's a French-style patisserie that offers classic desserts and Levantine fried dough during Hanukkah.
Nice market in the heart of Tel Aviv. Very lively and crowded and plenty of choices to eat local food or to have a drink. There is also a good variety of cloth section. A must see place if you go to Tel Aviv.

So I had some time to kill in the morning before my flight home so I joined friends for a walk through this area and had a great time seeing all the stands from candy to house hold items. You can do all your shopping here. The sights, sounds and smell of bread and cooking is wonderful.

A market is marked all over the world. Fresh on the spot juice from a variety of fruits. Market with sellers trying to get you to pay overprice for copy products like Nike, puma, Hugo Boss etc. Lots of cheap souvenirs from Israel. Some sellers can be very invasive Most prices can be dropped with a little bit of bargaining, Most shops sell the same at all different prices. Plenty of Mediterranean food which is delicious.
Zamir M — Google review
A very lively loud and very crowded market where one can find nearly anything, esp, food, spices, clothes, leather goods (incl. well made fake luxury brands). Fresh meat and fish are sold too, sometimes connected to a small eatery (seated or standing). Eateries are very crowded, loud and ventilators are blowing you away or provide fresh air (depending on how one can appreciate such kind of air blowing). If one appreciates a little less noise and crowd I can advise to take a side street and find a cosy place to eat or drink.
Boris G — Google review

Good food no doubt, but still a bit short of a fine dining experience when you consider the price. We had a long course meal and my conclusion was that it is food with inspiration from Japan, yet well grounded in Israeli / Middle Eastern contemporary food when you consider the stronger tastes and ingredients. Overall it’s one of the best dining experiences in Israel, but still quite far from a Michelin restaurant. Since the prices are so high it is a bit disappointing. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Amit K — Google review
Maybe the best restaurant in Israel, let's start with that. The food is amazing. Top quality and some unique flavours. The bar and cocktails are also great. But in the bottom line, it lacks some of the "Michelin-starred" wanted to be features, especially around the sittings, service, and small nuances that could make it even better.
URI G — Google review
High-end cuisine at its finest; we have savored every bite. The dishes are creative and unique, the design is beautiful, the atmosphere is perfect, and the service is impeccable. This restaurant is a strong contender for Israel's first Michelin star.
Elad A — Google review
Delicious and innovative food and really good service, a is definitely one of the top restaurants in Israel right now. It's not comfort food and you shouldn't expect big plates, but the food is delicate and accurate, and is prrpared using high quality, sometimes unique ingredients. The fish skewer and tempura dishes were extremely tasty and the steaks that we had were one of the best we had in Israel. a is a place worth visiting and a trip worth taking, I would definitely come back.
Sagi B — Google review
Phenomenal dinner, worthy of 1-2 Michelin stars (apparently Michelin doesn’t give stars in Israel yet). Great presentation, flavor, and quality. The noodles with caviar were my absolute favorite. Will come back next time I am in Tel Aviv!
Evan K — Google review
The best fine dining experience I've had in Israel. Well worth the price, exceeded my expectations by a mile, and they were high to begin with. Staff is incredibly professional, we trusted our waiter to build the meal for us, and I recommend you do the same.
Adam E — Google review
I tried over 280 restaurants in Israel but this for sure the worst food experience ever. Stay very far from this place. I ordered 7 dishes and and none of these dishes were acceptable. The dessert was absolutely disgusting and the 2 main courses were cold. Last but not least, I booked the table for 21:15 and I got it at 21:38 and the first dish came at 22:09. They didn’t even say they were sorry about it. I had to ask for the water 3 times. I have never been so disappointed and sad by a dining experience. It supposed to be a celebration dinner but it turned into a culinary nightmare. I had been warned from the low reviews/feedback and the repeated warnings not to go to this place from friends but still I wanted to give a chance to this restaurant but I didn't expect such a disappointing dinner. Big delusion and expensive without a reason. One star is even too much. Google should add the 0 star option just for them.
Leonardo A — Google review
Fine dining! The restaurant is beautiful with a bar in the middle which can be a great option as a date night. We were two couples, eating vegetarian+fish. We shared all our restrictions with the waiter, who was very helpful and built us a tasting menu. We had 12 dishes, all were out of the ordinary, extremely well served with a twist or uniqueness. Our top picks you should not miss are: Toro tuna, fish skewers and sushi rolls! To be honest you can't go wrong. Dinner cost 450 for a couple with wine and desserts. Money well spent 😜

Definitely one of the best smokehouses in Israel and probably the best one in Tel Aviv. The place has really good atmosphere and it's great to sit outside on a warm Jaffa night. One favorite thing was that, despite the fact their online reservation said they had no space, I called them and they happily made space for me between existing reservations. Highly recommend.

This exceeded expectations. We went for our anniversary, best choice ever! The atmosphere was really nice. We sat on the bar and service was friendly. The food was fantastic (not too many vegetarian options but the ones they had were good). Will return, and highly recommend.

We went to La Shuk for a Mediterranean meal in central Tel Aviv Dizengoff. Staff greeted us warmly and gave us a drink whilst we waited and a chance to look over the menu. The menu has an amazing range of Mediterranean and middle eastern foods. Not cheap but the food is quality. We thoroughly recommend you visit, but do be sure to book since it was super busy. It had dim lighting and a buzzing ambience with its open kitchen and bar.

Had an amazing experience and loved the food while visiting Tel Avid. We had the beef tartare as an appetizer followed by the shrimp polenta and then the black seafood linguine. We sat at the bar and loved the vibe! The guy sitting next to me was coming back for the seafood linguine. My husband had one of the signature cocktails and I just had a gin & tonic. I absolutely recommend this restaurant! We were On vacation for a week here and this was the best!!!

Great location right on Dizengoff square and great vibe. Recommend sitting outside, or if you choose inside, at the bar. Creative menu and great cocktails. The preparation of some dishes can be inconsistent at times, but the place makes up for it with the atmosphere and generally good food and service.

Made a reservation for a Friday lunch earlier than I might have chosen -- but that was all that was available a weekish in advance. Arrived to see that it was indeed packed -- and then spent a couple of hours seeing and tasting why. Special cocktail of the day was tasty and refreshing. Our 2 dishes were well prepared and memorable, with a delicious dessert. The waitress was sweet and charming. I noticed that ALL the staff seemed to be smiling and kind of glowing. I complimented the manager -- saying that the feeling from the staff (so much pleasantness in such a busy environment) reflected great training, good treatment by the employer -- or both It's a week after a scary war. And a moment after months and years of trial in Tel Aviv and Israel. The location couldn't be better. But the food and service measured up, too.

Loved this spot! The restaurant is really pretty and has a cozy, tucked-away nook inside where I could sit quietly, charge my phone, and relax—huge bonus. I ordered the shakshuka off thr brunch menu. It which was ok, but kinda sour. Paired it with an iced latte that was solid and refreshing. The overall vibe was calm and inviting. Great place to chill—would definitely come back.

Nestled in a charming Bauhaus building on Rothschild Boulevard, Milgo & Milbar is a celebrated restaurant in Tel Aviv. The establishment offers Mediterranean cuisine, such as sea fish fillet with artichoke hearts, and is known for its stylish ambiance. Chef Moti Titman leads the culinary team with a focus on showcasing local Israeli produce and seafood through vibrant and carefully crafted dishes.
I couldn’t believe how delicious a simple lettuce salad could be! Every leaf was fresh, full of flavor, super crunchy, and the dressing was absolutely divine. And that was just the beginning: dish after dish came out of the kitchen, each one a little culinary masterpiece—unique without being over the top—and so good that people at our table literally let out happy sounds while eating. The service, on the other hand, was as bad as the food was good. But once we lost patience and complained to the shift manager, they apologized, brought us a bottle of wine, and even gave us a discount on the whole meal. Assuming the service was just a one-time slip, this is a restaurant I’d 100% recommend—and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely incredible experience! We were too busy enjoying the food to take photos, from the heavenly croquettes to the perfect Suzette crêpe, everything was exceptional. The service was just as impressive, friendly, knowledgeable, and spot on with their recommendations. Highly recommended!

One of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv. It survives at a very competitive landscape for a few years for a reason. Everything was very very tasty, at the highest level Israel got to offer. Service was good as well. Make sure you sit inside on the bar that got a few to the open kitchen if you aren't a big party. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come back some time in the future.

The last time I visited this place was my third time there, because I liked this place. But something has changed. The prices are higher, the food becomes simplier, we had 5 different dishes, the only dish that really surprised me was a chicken. The rest was pretty usual. The service was unpleasant. Maybe it was just a bad luck and bad not of the waiter, but we felt ourselves like unwanted guests. Pretty average. Price does not match the taste and the service.

Amazing restaurant with incredible food, service and perfect atmosphere. Everything here was 10/10!!! Highly recommended to take the chefs table behind the bar because it amazing to see the kitchen and how all the meals are prepared! Also I have to recommend the fish here it was phenomenal!!

We had heard nothing but good things about Milgo from friends and booked a table to celebrate an important birthday Seating: we were sat at the far edge of the bar almost inside the back of the kitchen with waiters constantly brushing past us as they brought out or returned food. 3 parties who arrived after us and were supposed to be seated next to us immediately complained and refused to sit down. We were in a celebratory mood and didn’t want to spoil the evening complaining but it was a mistake not to mention that those seats as well as the seats next to them should not even be offered to guests paying for a “premium” dining experience Experience: the waitress never checked on us, how the food was, or if we were happy with our experience. She came, threw down plates, and left. No one from the staff acknowledged the birthday we were celebrating mentioned clearly on the online reservation, and in a phone call before arrival. I don’t expect free dessert or VIP treatment, anyone can lie about a birthday as well, but it was a special night for us and the care for the quality of our experience, birthday or not, was nowhere to be seen. Food: The croquettes were great, although quite expensive at almost 40 shekels a person for one bite.. we also got the seafood ziti and egg yolk pasta, both highly recommended by the waitress and they were disappointing. The ziti sauce was so watery it was hard to coat the pasta, and it was quite salty. The yolk pasta sauce was a broken emulsion and the pasta was very chewy. Disappointed in the food quality for such expensive dishes. I’ve always heard such good things about Milgo, and it was only our first time there. Maybe it was one bad experience, or maybe it has just fallen off over time. I also see their staff doesn’t seem to reply or acknowledge low reviews on the platform so maybe they also just don’t care, they have a good name and overall good reviews. I hope the review is helpful and can maybe push them to improve. I personally might try to give it a second chance since I don’t think it’s fair to judge on one experience alone but I won’t be back anytime soon for that chance with how this experience felt and the price I ended up paying (500+ shekels)

One of the best chef restaurant I’ve been to in tel aviv. Every dish was excellent and above all was the service which made the whole meal a good experience. Every dish got out exactly on time and one after the other so we can really enjoyed each dish. Prices are reasonable for a chef restaurant.

Popina, located in Neve Tzedek and established by renowned chef Orel Kimchi, is a standout on the Tel Aviv dining scene. Chef Kimchi's culinary journey includes stints at esteemed restaurants around the world, shaping his innovative approach to gastronomy. The restaurant's menu showcases a range of cooking techniques and inventive flavor pairings, such as pumpkin jam ravioli with foie gras and truffle foam or shrimp burger with yuzu aioli.
I highly recommend this place. We did the tasting menu which was a brilliant choice. The service was impeccable. Waiter was patient and knowledgeable about the dishes. Cocktail was really good. Most similar places make very boring cocktails so it was nice for a change. I think the duck liver alongside the ravioli was the best dish in the tasting menu. Only downside was the steak which tasted nice but was almost well-done (see photo). I would definitely return.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant. The service was absolutely perfect — attentive, friendly, and professional. Each of us ordered different dishes, including the “chef testing” menu, and everything was both flavorful and beautifully presented. At the end of the meal, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary dessert. It was a thoughtful gesture, and the dessert itself was delicious and memorable.

What a great restaurant and dining experience. We sat at the bar which was nice to have a view to the kitchen and chat with the very friendly bartender. The variety of the menu and portion sizes allow for treating all palates. We highly recommend the gin and tonic tartar which was especially great due to the Wasabi tobiko. The service was excellent, just as the food and drinks were.

I actually never thought I would give such a famous restaurant in the foodies community such a low rating... but besides the environment everything was really lacking. I came here with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday and I was actually very excited but left in mixed feelings. can't understand what the hole bragg was about... The food was lacking flavor I literally went to eat a sandwich on Rothschild after this experience and it was a lot better then this place. Sorry but I will not be returning here.

Very good food (especially the sea food black pizza pizza!) and interesting ingredients. Service was good starting from the hostess, we had a reservation and there was a little holdback so they gave us champagne while we wait as this kind of restaurants should do. Prices are reasonable for a chef restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also nice.

Popina is considered one of the best fine dining experience in Tel Aviv, unfortunately, I did not experience it that way. Some of the food was not good while other was just nothing special. We had the 6 course meal, I had the regular while my girlfriend had the vegan version. In the vegan version, the main dish was just the prior dish iarger scale. The Red Tuna tartar was mainly cucumbers and the fish taste went unnoticed and unfortunately, the souffle desert was so sweet it was inedible. The waiter was wonderful and switched the desert for a lemon pie, which was great. In addition the Pizza was amazing. In conclusion, the experience was ok but I wouldn't recommend, there are better restaurants in the area with better value for money.

Excellent dining experience, atmosphere, service, food, and drinks. I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation, which was almost better than the main floor because of the open kitchen. The veal cheek was delicious and I’m looking forward to returning for a more relaxed meal. Great work Popina team!

Port Sa'id is a popular gathering place in Tel Aviv, offering Middle Eastern cuisine and cocktails on a spacious terrace. The restaurant, named after the Egyptian city, is a hotspot for new Israeli cuisine and was created by celebrity chef Eyal Shani. With its laid-back sidewalk setting near The Great Synagogue of Tel Aviv, it attracts a lively young crowd drawn to the buzzing atmosphere and delicious Israeli specialties like grilled eggplant and chicken liver.
Came here for dinner and absolutely loved everything we ordered! Jericho beans and the eggplant were our two most favorite dishes. While this is more of a bar that serves food, we thought the food was actually better than in a few much more high-end restaurants we’ve visited. The place is very busy and there was a ~30 minute wait, but once we were seated the food arrived very quickly. Service was good. Our waiter was very friendly and spoke good English. The food was phenomenal, but the timing of the courses was not good. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for every request (a napkin never arrived). The service was bad, and the bill was inaccurate and needed corrections twice. Also, the restrooms were out of soap and toilet paper. A disaster for a chef-driven gastro-bar.

A bit disappointed. Restaurant with a great atmosphere, and nice music. The ambiance was great, lot of people and nice sitting outdoors. We waited 40min in a queue (Saturday 3pm) When it comes to food it was nothing special. We have tried: - baked potato - do not recommend - ratatouille - amazing! - courgette with ricotta - light and fresh Overall we felt a bit sick after the food, the prices were high and portions small. I wouldn't come back to eat there however the whole experience was very nice.

I had an amazing dining experience at this Israeli restaurant with refined and authentic cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. The menu offered a delightful selection of Israeli dishes that truly showcased the richness of the country's culinary heritage. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, delivering an explosion of flavors that left me wanting more. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations and ensuring that my dining experience was top-notch. The restaurant's decor was tastefully done, reflecting the essence of Israeli culture and adding to the overall dining pleasure. In summary, if you're looking for an authentic Israeli dining experience with refined and mouthwatering cuisine, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. It's the perfect spot to explore the vibrant flavors of Israel in a warm and welcoming setting.

Fun place. Arrived only at 22:45, caught a place at the bar. Great vibe. All staff just sparkle a good vibe. The food options are delicious ... so many different things, lots of veggie options, but also carnivores and water-lovers get a great selection. Always again!

Service was really good, atmosphere was kind of non-existent but it was a weeknight so meh. But the food wasn't good. For starters, we ordered the greens salad with beetroot sauce dish and the green beans. The beans were good. we didnt understand the idea of the salad though, the sauce was nice but didnt really compliment the greens. we ordered the calamary salad which was unfortunately overthrown by the amount of onions in it. The fish kebab had no taste besides dill and the hraimeh fish tasted like shakshuka. The butcher's cut in tomato sauce was really good! Recommended

Our dinner with friends was fantastic. We ordered several dishes for the table, and the waiter informed us that the food would arrive as it became ready, allowing us to enjoy a flavorful journey by combining plates. Chef Eyal Shani's unique take on dining, where food is served on parchment and cardstock plates, wasn't my preferred method of dining, but it contributed to the relaxed atmosphere of the city and its guests. You can request plates for the table to enjoy the shared dishes. The standout dishes were the lamb kebab and chopped liver bruschetta. I highly recommend trying the premium menu.

Such a unique place. The atmosphere, the energy. And the food is insanely delicious and an absolute highlight. Noisy unpleasant room. Aloof and inattentive service. Food eclectic, requires too much explaining from the staff what you are getting. Small portions which is almost ok as the food does not exactly wow. Expensive!

Came here for dinner. The place came highly recommended and was rather pricey, however we were a bit disappointed by the food: everything was a little bit bland. The biggest surprise was the cauliflower that arrived in the form of an entire cauliflower without any seasoning or garnish or sauce. Staff was quite friendly and helpful, card payment was no issue.

We had the business lunch and it was delicious. In general, value for money here is not necessarily the best, because the dishes are quite simple but are priced a little high. However, the buisness lunch (where you get a first, a main, and sparkling water, all for the price of the main) is better value for money. While the dishes are simple, they are very well made, with great ingredients. Finally, service was warm and hospitable. We loved it!

Topolopompo Restaurant, created by Chef Avi Conforti, offers a distinct dining experience from its sister restaurant Zepra while maintaining top-notch quality, friendly service, and a high-standard setting. The menu is hailed as a paradise for food enthusiasts. A standout feature is the surprise menu where the waitress asks about your preferences and allergies to bring you delightful dishes.
I did their tasting menu, it’s a very nice concept that they do depends on your budget. You can choice how much you would like to spend and they serve the dishes accordingly and to your dietary restrictions. My waitress Shai was lovely and explained each dish. Everything was really good (some of the dishes had a little too much heat for me). My favorites were the sashimi, dumpling and pineapple dessert. I dined at lunch time, which has a 15% discount on the menu. The menu is very large so I would recommend either doing the tasting menu or follow the suggestions of the waiters.

In short: The food is OK, the service is less then OK the price is like 2 star michlan restaurant and atmosphere of cheep club. Long story: We were a big table (8 peaple). We have taken the suggestion of the waitress to have a tasting manue according to what we like. The service:the waitress were nice but the service was slow, we waited about 20 minutes between each dish (about 5 in total).we ordered wine, but after poring the wine to the glass they have taken the bottle and put it out of reach and we needed to ask multiple time to riffle the glass until we asked to have the bottle on the table because it was very annoying. The food: the food was OK, verity of dished with Thai influence in total the food was beautifully and tasted nice but nothing to special. The atmosphere: I think this is the worst thing in the experience, the restaurant it self is beautiful but they played load Trans music that was just awful, especially for high end restaurant. The price: very high, we payed 1600 ils for about 5 courses with 3 bottles of wine (for 8 people).

So you’re looking for a different culinary experience compared to what most restaurants in Tel Aviv have to offer… You want a great meal, savory, fresh and if possible absolutely mind blowing… you want the real deal umami, not “the easy-way-out” MSG… you give Topolompo a shot and yes! Bullseye! The black cod is probably one of the best if not the best Tel Aviv has to offer. ✅Variety of interesting dishes ✅Mind blowing flavors ✅Attention to food plating and detail ➖Pricey ➖The restaurant design, furniture and general ambience don’t match the amazing quality of the food they serve ➖The service is not well trained enough for this level of food and prices Great to go with friends, business meetings and maybe dates (preferably for dinner).

Business lunch - GREAT! pay for main, get an appetizer and a free drink. My first visit to the restaurant and it was a refreshing experience. Authentic South Indian dishes that are not available in any other restaurant in the country. See the picture, and enjoy. Price wise, adding sweets or alcohol, puts the meal on the expensive end

CafeXoho is a charming cafe located in Tel Aviv, offering a covered patio where patrons can enjoy a variety of juices, coffee, and health-conscious dishes, with vegan options available. Founded by Xoli Ormut-Durbin, who was raised in Hong Kong by Canadian parents, this cozy spot has an eclectic chalkboard menu and a laid-back atmosphere reminiscent of San Francisco's Haight neighborhood. The cafe prides itself on its perfectly roasted coffee beans and international staff.
One of my favourite places in Tel Aviv(but only on weekdays!!). The food and coffee are excellent, and everything is of the highest quality. However, the prices are quite high ,especially those of the drinks(27 shekels for matcha!!). Great vegan options, sweet and savoury. On weekends it tends to be very crowded and the wait might last a long time, which isn't so fun on sunny or rainy days. So I recommend visiting on weekdays when the traffic is much lighter. The service varies between excellent and poor, depends on the waiter. Recommended!!!

Funky kosher dairy menu. Not the usual boring fare. Variety of breakfast options through the day. I enjoyed my quesadillas. My wife had a solid smoked salmon bagel. Beverages were imaginative and great for summer. My espresso tonic was very good. Great vibe. Busy. Sits on the route for the light rail which meant that it was noisy.

Possibly the worst coffee I’ve had in my life. At first I was disappointed by the small portion. But after my first sip I was glad that I didn’t receive more of this sub par beverage. It was terribly bitter and sour. I went with a good friend and she described her coffee as “literally just trash.” As far as food is concerned, the menu is quite small, which could be seen as a good thing. I ordered the egg and cheese bagel which was fine. Nothing incredible and nothing bad. It was a very small portion with only a single egg and toppings that slide all over the place. I also noticed that most of the tables around me received their orders wrong and received excuses from the wait staff. To summarize, I left Cafe Xoho (what is that name?) rather disappointed and disturbed. It certainly is a very busy and trendy establishment but I don’t understand how my fellow restaurant goers enjoyed their experience. While they drank the liquid that drips out of Tel Aviv air conditioner units that Cafe Xoho is selling off as Lattes and Espresso, I asked my table mate how it is that everyone else seems to be relatively enjoying their meals? At the table next to me, a young American frat type boy commented that it was the best bagel he ever ate. What? Poor boy, are you ok? Are you being starved? Have you being living on the diet of a squirrel or small bird, seeds and nuts? Blink twice if you need help. Of course I understood everything when I saw his hat, a Boston Red Sox SnapBack. Spare his soul for he know not of the might of the pinstripes of our great Yankees, hailing from the new city of York at the head of the Hudson! In short, I would not recommend.
Justin S — Google review
The staff here clearly don’t care about their customers. I placed an order and specifically asked to remove a few items, but they ignored my request. When I complained, they replaced it — with the exact same mistake. After complaining again, nothing changed. On top of that, they automatically added a tip, as if we’re in the U.S. In Israel, tipping is up to the customer — and trust me, this place doesn’t deserve a single shekel with such poor service. What a shame. If you’re visiting Israel or just looking for a café, avoid this location at all costs. There are plenty of better places nearby that actually respect their customers. Also, the prices here are outrageously high compared to other cafés in the area.

Every morning in Tel Aviv, my wife and I follow the same ritual: coffee at Xoho, on Ben Yehuda Street. Our anchor point, our little piece of order in the chaos. Xoho has two zones — smoking and non-smoking. I smoke, so our choice is obvious. This morning, three empty tables. One in part sun with a single chair; two in the shade, still cluttered with empty cups and crumbs. No one around — just the remains of other people’s breakfasts. As usual, I sit at one of the shaded tables and wait (don’t ask, just wait) for someone to clear it. A waitress approaches. She tells me the table hasn’t been cleaned yet and suggests — no, politely orders — me to sit at the sunny table instead. “I’d rather stay here,” I say. “I can wait. Take your time.” “It’s not a suggestion,” she says. “I demand.” Fine. I get up, waiting for her to clear it. She starts moving around, wiping every table except mine — a perfect little ballet of passive aggression. Then another waitress passes by. I ask, “Excuse me, may I sit here?” “Of course!” she says, smiling, and immediately clears the table for me. I sit down, relieved. Naturally, the first waitress reappears. “See the difference between you and your colleague?” I tell her. “She hurried to help me. You’ve been rude.” She calls me ridiculous. I tell her she’s been horrible. The tone rises a bit, but nothing dramatic. Then the manager appears, serious and defensive. “You can’t speak to my staff like that,” he says. I explain what happened. He doesn’t care. He demands that I apologize. “No,” I reply. “If anyone should apologize, it’s her.” He asks me to leave. Which I do — calmly. If I were him, I’d probably have done the same, out of principle. Still, I can’t help thinking that waitress chose the wrong job. One day, Xoho will figure it out. Pity — it used to be my favorite café.

Japanese restaurant
TYO is a stylish restaurant in Tel Aviv that offers Japanese cuisine, sushi specialties, and cocktails. Housed in a two-story building near Shalom Tower, the interior exudes contemporary elegance with mirrors, leather chairs, and decorative napkin sleeves. The restaurant's specialty cocktails have evocative names like the bloodshed martini and black salt margarita.
From the moment we entered, we knew it was going to be a good experience. The ambiance is enhanced by the DJ, decor, and design. The cocktails and sake were above average. This day happened to be a tapas style night, which meant we tried many of their appetizers, sashimi, rolls, and appetizers. This is an upscale place and it’s kid friendly.

Overall great experience! The food was amazing (except the tuna sashimi). We sat at the bar and Jay was our Barman and he was amazing! It was my girlfriends birthday and he lit a candle and put it in a dessert that he brought her. He was explaining each cocktail and recommended the best dishes! If you sit at bar talk to Jay he is the best! All in all great experience!

Date night. Booking is recommended. Everything is great. Food is fresh and very tasty. Our waitress (at the bar) was a delight. Music is great and not too loud. Had a very good time overall! Will be back.
Audrey ( — Google review
A friend recommended TYO, praising its service and atmosphere, and she was spot-on. We ordered some unique dishes that caught our eye based on the ingredients, including the tuna pizza and crunchy tuna rolls, both of which were excellent. Our server took great care of us and ensured the flow of our dinner was smooth. She even offered us shots of our choice, a nice touch to our bar experience. Overall, I would recommend TYO for dinner based on its great atmosphere and food options. However, it's important to note that the menu is quite expensive, so it's advisable to choose wisely or be prepared for premium prices.

If you like high-end Japanese food then this place is for you. Everything we ordered was delicious! The waitress was very nice, patient and knowledgeable about the dishes and gave us great recommendations. Will definitely return. Update: we did return and I can definitely say that the quality was not the same. We ordered some of the amazing dishes we ordered the first time and they were quite disappointing.
Yuval B — Google review
One of my favorite restaurants in Tel Aviv, the place has such a fun vibe and is by far the BEST quality sushi restaurant in Israel!! The fish is always so fresh, all the starters & rolls are incredible, and the dessert is just divine! The staff/service is just as wonderful as the food (a rare find in Israel)
Sarah E — Google review
Just wow Nothing else needed to say Everything we ordered was perfect, probably the best place for sushi and Asian food in Israel the service was great and the atmosphere was amazing as well The only non positive thing I have to say is that the desserts were good but nothing more than that still was good but had better.
Oran A — Google review
General atmosphere was OK. We ordered only first courses, many of them. I love raw fish food and I enjoyed most of the dishes, except the only sushi plate that we ordered (I returned it, never happened to me in the past) It wasn't that dissapointed, but we expected something WOW.

Italian restaurant
Nestled within the historic German Templar compound in Sarona, Rustico is a delightful Italian restaurant that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With its three branches scattered across Tel Aviv—Rothschild Boulevard, Basel, and Sarona—this charming eatery offers an intimate atmosphere perfect for couples, friends, or families looking to indulge in authentic Italian cuisine.
A soulful Italian place with the right atmosphere for a date or a quiet evening. Food-wise, this is probably one of the best in town in this price range. If you sit at the long bar, you can observe the cooks doing their thing, and get some inspiration for your next dish.

I got dinner with my family without a reservation. The pasta dish arrived cold and wasn't as large as I remembered it. The food isn't value for money. The waiters weren't very service oriented. However the tiramisu was good and probably the only item I truly enjoyed. I don't think I would come again.

Love this restaurant! Delicious food, great atmosphere, and a lovely staff. We keep coming back- it’s our go-to spot for a Friday night out.

Rustico is quickly becoming our favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant. The shrimps in garlic butter sauce were great and the main courses were excellent. The red tuna linguini was especially memorable. Great service and vibe, excellent food though a bit pricey - totally recommend.
Guy C — Google review
It was our second time at Rustico. This time we came to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. The food was excellent. We especially liked the filet Pappardelle and the cheese and pesto Agnolotti. The deserts were excellent as well. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

Amazing Italian restaurant in the North of Tel Aviv. Went there twice during our 7d trip. Opted both times for the great tasting beef filet with wonderfully aromatic red onions and some potatoes, while my mom tried some of the appetizers. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.

We had two burgers the "El Presidente" and the "Better call Saul." Both were some of the better burgers we have had, anywhere. This place can hold its own when it comes to gourmet burgers on a world stage. The wife is from Mexico and the Jalapeños from Aguascalientes Mexico is a nice touch.

Bottom line. The best Burger I have ever had. Had a few different burgers we split and we were not disappointed. Flavors that mixed well. The place is tucked in a street but not hard to find. Staff was amazing, friendly and professional. Clean spot worth the trip. Be aware, portions are large and u will get filled up quickly. Again an Amazing burger and the best I have ever had. Thank you and hope we have time to come back before we leave town.

It's a small & compact restaurant, reservation is a must if you want to enter, the service there is great and the waitresses notice what going in each table and acts immediately, you don't need to have a long wait for you food to come after you order which is a huge plus, it was tasty, real good, expensive but nice to eat once a while.

I came to this restaurant as part of my attempts to find the best burger place in Tel Aviv. So far, this serves the best burger I had. The bun was soft, fresh and sweet. The burger itself was well-made and was consisted of the ideal mix of meats, and the whole experience was fun. The only criticism I have is with their their french fries - they were simple and tasteless.
Avi J — Google review
Great burgers and hilarious atmosphere! Prices are not cheap, though. You'd expect to get some fries included in the price, but no. There are a ton of hamburger variations and the toppings are great. Sides are good too, and very filling.
Asaf S — Google review
Best burger in Tel Aviv. Specially great for interesting burger toppings lovers. Note that the place is crowded so you better book a place before coming. The service inside is great and always keeps a smile on your face. I really recommend almost every burger on the menu and the side dishes are good, though you have to taste the simple but delicious biscuit cake after all of that.

Very tasty burgers, quick service and a great vibe. Quite an interesting selection of burgers and side dishes, with some unique combinations. Chophouse restaurant
The Whiskey Bar & Museum, situated in the historic Sarona district, is a unique establishment with a rich history. Housed in a former 19th-century wine cellar that was once utilized by the Mossad, this venue offers an intriguing blend of museum, bar, and restaurant. Boasting an extensive collection of over 1000 whiskeys from 13 different countries, it stands as one of the largest whiskey bars globally.
I was here with my team for our last supper in Israel as after this we all were going back to our destination. We were greeted well as a team and our server was very smart and quick. She took everyone's drink order and made sure everyone gets what they ordered. Since it's a whiskey bar we ordered whiskey and a glass of red wine. There were appetizers that were served in all different kinds, tuna, beef, vegetables and so on. Our main course was chicken and Salmon. I ordered salmon and it was delicious, thereafter dessert was served and to those who needed coffee that was served too. The food was delicious, the service was great and the ambience is unique as it is an old independence war shelter and planes factory with majestic whiskey bar with a huge collection of blends and bottles, it's also a great restaurant since it serves Kosher food. The ambiance is amazing. Highly recommended!! They have three stories but we were on the second floor. The restroom is a little small but neat and clean. Overall, I will highly recommend visiting this place as there's a lot more to explore at this bar.

Want a romantic evening? Want a place where friends can have a great meal? This is your place. One of the best steaks I've had in the city. The sashimi salmon was amazing. The servers were attentive without hovering. They were knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Will absolutely be back.

A sprawling, stylish restaurant that commands attention with its impressive scale and sophisticated ambiance. The menu is expansive and diverse, offering an exceptional array of international dishes that cater to every palate. The drinks list is equally impressive, featuring a vast selection of wines. While our initial experience with the service left something to be desired—slow responses and a lack of attentiveness—the situation was transformed when Eliot, the manager, stepped in. With professionalism and genuine care, he not only remedied the immediate issues but ensured the rest of our evening unfolded seamlessly. His personal attention and commitment to guest satisfaction turned what could have been a disappointing visit into a memorable one, proving that strong management can elevate the entire dining experience.
Y M — Google review
Great experience, the service was good but there is room for improvement, we ordered a few glasses of wine and instead of coming to the table with a bottle and empty glasses the waiter went back and forth to the bartender to fill glasses. This is just an example and the service was great besides those small points. The food and alcohol is amazing and fresh. The atmosphere is the perfect combination between ancient and new. Overall experience: 8.7/10
Tye B — Google review
I went to lunch with my wife. The food arrived almost two hours after we ordered. They sent us the wrong main course, and when we told the waiter, he said they were out of what we ordered. My wife then ordered a fish dish; it arrived cold and raw, and was very poorly presented. Half an hour later, mine arrived; I ordered meat. The presentation was good, but it had absolutely no salt and was more greasy than meat. The only thing we liked were the cocktails. The prices are also very high for what they offer. The waiters served us well, but the restaurant was a disaster. We also asked to speak to the manager, but he never came out. When we arrived, they gave us a discount, but it still wasn't worth it. I don't recommend it.
Thomi D — Google review
Its a boutique establishment, but when there is a wave of new customers, you're left unattended for more than expected.... Otherwise wonderfull place, some staff really are really knowledgeable while some others aren't. So if you feel like you're missing out, ask if there is someone that can provide you more information. Regardless will definitely go there again and update my review accordingly

Probably the best whiskey bar & museum in the world. Huge veriety of whisky from all kinds, great cocktails, and amazing kitchen - smoked meats from the Josper! The steaks are from the best in Israel, and don't miss the desserts by pastry chef Noa Einat which are all perfect. Very recommended as a bar, and as a restaurant.

Restaurant
Saluf & Sons is a lively and cozy eatery in Tel Aviv, paying homage to the Yemeni immigrant community in the Kerem Hateimanim neighborhood. The restaurant offers a taste of authentic Yemenite cuisine, with dishes like Yemeni meat soup and mallawach, a savory pastry filled with tomato puree, tahini, and a hard-boiled egg. Guests can also enjoy spicy dips and may even receive complimentary shots of arak from the friendly staff.
The highlight of our Tel Aviv trip has been consistently good food, every single meal, and Saluf and Sons is no exception. It’s been a stand-out experience and we will go back at least one more time before we leave! Excellent food. Highly recommend. Edit: We did indeed go back to Saluf & Sons a second time before we left Israel and it was exceptional, as expected. Dishes we had (and would recommend): ⭐️ Kubbane with dips ⭐️ Feta cheese with za’atar and olive oil ⭐️ Hummus with Shawia ⭐️ Shawia stew ⭐️ Yemeni malawach wrap

The best food in Tel Aviv! The chef in the picture was the most welcoming and friendly person even though he was serving non-stop for more customers at the same time. The food was fresh and tremendously delicious! I would come back again and again!

Overall a good experience. We had a late lunch here after 2pm. We were served fairly quickly. Both of us had the classic and meat Shaksukas. They turned out very nice, the sauce was spicy but not overly hot the accompanied chillies sauce was handy to give it more of a kick. The salads were complimentary and nice. For two of us the bill came to about 120 NIS.

The food feels homemade and delicious. I'm so glad to have encountered this amazing restaurant. I have received the best service at a restaurant in this place. Absolutely recommend and would definitely come back.

Asked for a recommendation from a local off the street on my first day in Tel Aviv. He recommended this place. It is easy to see why they're so well rated. This Yemeni place has awesome food and equally excellent service. The waiter was kind and friendly and explained the menu. When he found out I was visiting Israel for the first time, he came by to serve aome shots of arak on the house. A must visit.

Had the small triple plate which allows choice between a small portion of a main dish, a couple of salad options and a small hummus. The price was reasonable at 64 shekels including a soda water.

The restaurant offers a variety of options including tacos with meat or vegan mushrooms, tostadas, quesadillas, and enchiladas. What a beautiful, wonderful experience. Service was good but oh my, the food! By far the best Mexican I've ever eaten. I will be dreaming of those nachos for years to come. Wish I could give more stars! Ordered: Nachos for sharing, Mushroom Taco, Fish Taco, Flan and the tequila dark chocolate truffle desert. Yum!

Worst bar experience ever, having places to sit, he asked us to get out from the bar, because no one sat us. Okey I understand if they have this policy, but why criticize us for our fashion?? He said we gonna wait long long time because of our attitude. I understand it’s probably a long shift, but can’t be so aggressive to probable clients. Maybe food and drinks are good, didn’t had the chance to try. Next to this the service is much friendlier at Mate.

Very cool little spot. All the staff spoke perfect English which helped, and has English menu. Had a raw fish thing as a starter. Didn't realize the fish would be raw but that is my fault for not looking it up. Portions were a bit small but the price was very reasonable.

Went a 5 people party to celebrate a birthday. First time in a Mexican restaurant in Israel. Surprising variety of dishes and flavors. enjoyed every dish, each different and exciting. Flan was a wonderful surprise, and the Mexican sweet coffee a nice finishing touch. Portions seem relatively small, with a main of two tacos costing about 50 something shekels. but even with 3 starters, 6 mains, 2 desserts and 2 drinks the bill came out at a bit over 600. Everyone full and happy.
Gadi F — Google review
I was pretty excited to find Mexican food but it was just okay. Chips were stale, guacamole okay and salsa nothing special. I asked for a virgin margarita and they didn’t want to make me one (well, server didn’t ask said I could have a lemonade). Which made me think the mix is premade. Additional salsa was really nice for spicy which was amazing. Their carnitas tacos were good, a little greasy. Has a nice outdoor section.

Delicious Mexican food! The best enchiladas I had in years! But too pricey IMO, more than 50 ILS for 2 veggie tacos! 😮🌮

Mezcal is a vibrant bar with very good south American dishes. Apart from the hostess that thought it was OK to sit us at a table for two near the bathroom (we were three and reserved a table), service was impeccable. We got an alternative place at the bar, and the two bartenders gave us very good recommendations and great Margaritas 😊. None of that over friendly Israeli service, just your basic efficient and kind one (rareity in cool Israeli places). As for the dishes, don't miss the ceviche mercado and Quesadilla Birra, and the fish tacos. Flavors are authentic and fresh. Well worth the visit!

Shlomo & Doron Hummus is a beloved family-owned hummusiya located in Tel Aviv's Yemenite Quarter, close to the bustling Carmel Market. Since 1937, this establishment has been serving up their warm, original recipe hummus that comes in various delicious variations. From the classic olive oil and paprika topping to the more adventurous shakshuka hybrid, there's something for every palate.
The BEST hummus in Tel Aviv (and yes, I’ve been to Abu Hassan). Particularly recommend the meshulash. The malabi here is also the some of best I've ever had. I will be coming here as long as I'm in Israel. The service is excellent and the people are extremely friendly, and I had some great conversations with them. Lots of quiet, pleasant outdoor seating. Can't recommend enough!!!!

Discovered this with the intent to try the best possible hummus while in Israel. We were not disappointed. Best hummus ever!!!!! The options are extensive for vegetarians, and unique in many ways. Don't let the fact that the restaurant is tucked away fool you into thinking it is not worth it. Must be tried to believe how good it is and also portion sizes are big. Medium is a good enough size for a meal.

I have been in Israel multiple times and this is the best hummus I’ve ever had in my entire life. Definitely a must. The flavors are just so well balanced and amazing, and the service is fantastic too I recommend getting the special desert too. So special and unique 🥹🥹😆😆

In my humble opinion - the best hummus in Tel Aviv, if not all Israel! You can tell it's the "real deal", not a tourist trap, as many locals come here all day for their breakfast/lunch. The portions are big, rich in flavours! 😍 Service very friendly, lots of space to sit. Great location - close to the Shuk and the beach. I especially recommend Hummus Combo Salad and Hummus with fava beans 🤤 We'll be back!

WHAT A HUMUS!! The best places where we have eaten in Tel Aviv. A MUST visit. Seriously. A local restaurant serving veritety of humuses with freshly baked pitas. The staff was super nice and helpful. Prices were very low - one humus was filling enough for two people and coated around 40 szekls. We have tried deconstructed falafel as well as shakshuka and both are definitely worth ordering. Even though that from the outside the place may seem a bit rusty and old, the quality and flavors of the dishes were superb.

Qualiteeeeé. This is exactly what Israeli food and culture is all about. You order and pay at the front of the queue, find a table, and minutes later have extremely tasty, well sized and prepared, full of flavour hummus dishes, all with plenty of bread. Honestly 1 dish is enough for 2 people, but you just have to try a few anyway, they're all superb.

Azura Restaurant, with a history of over 55 years in Jerusalem's Machne Yehuda market, has expanded to Tel Aviv since 2015. The cozy eatery offers homemade Iraqi, Moroccan, and Syrian cuisine featuring dishes like creamy hummus with warm chickpeas and beans, lamb stew, and kibbeh. A must-try is their signature roasted eggplant topped with ground beef and pine nuts in a cinnamon sauce.
Amazing food! One of my top 10 in Tel Aviv. The oriental food is made with love to perfection. Every dish in this restaurant will be absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was just well done. Very very good:)

Delicious ! But expensive for what it is. Seriously, delicious home cooking style. Wonderful flavors from long cooking and braising without relying on too much salt. But the prices are not aligned. I’ve been in Israel long enough to manage my expectations of revering nice service but for the cost, this place is lacking. Seriously, one single pita for two entrees and two adults? No salatim with main courses ? No water refills? Had to chase down the server for the check and then wait. Chef quality food, chef restaurant prices without the niceties. But again, delicious food. Maybe better than the Jerusalem location. Yum !

MY RECOMMENDATION would be to arrive at ir before 12 since they sell out of the popular dishes early in the day. For TLV this restaurant is reasonably priced and portions are fair. The Kubbeh Soup is full of vegetables and has the perfect combination of sweet and sour flavors. The tahini is excellent and the rice was fluffy and well seasoned. Sharing is a must at Azura since the flavor of the meals can be a bit repetitive and it’s best to try several dishes. The staff is friendly and the seating area is comfortable, even in the summer since they have great fans in their outdoor seating.

This is absolutely my new favourite restaurant in Tel Aviv!!! When you walk in you’ll see a long line of huge pots with colourful delicious slow cooked dishes, some cooking overnight. We tried the Kubbeh Soup and the Chicken Rice Pilaf. Both were absolutely incredible! Every bite better then the last. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their menu! Staff was very friendly and accommodating to us English speakers, and gave us a tour of each colourful menu item stewing in an array of huge pots. The Kubbeh dumplings were huge and so soft and doughy And delicious! The chicken and rice was unbelievably soft and moist in a wildly complex blend of spices and flavours. I’ve travelled the world eating delicious food and this is a new contender for top 5 favourite meal! Eat here. Go. Now. Yallah. Trust me!

The origanal azura is located in Jerusalem, in the Machne Yehuda market.. The tlv branch opened more than 7 years ago.. And it's an institution too. The big pots with flavor rich dishes every day freshly prepared are inviting you to dive into the culinary journey of Eastern oriental kitchen. Make sure to eat the sofrito, but also the humus is a delicatesse, as well as the various soups. The table opens with olives and cucumbers and pita for free. Enjoy your meal

Common tasty and cozy restaurant. I like it very much. A bit noisy (near construction site) but after a while you wouldn't notice. It has great atmosphere. I ordered hummus, beef and green beans. It was a great dish. The service is very good.
Carmi S — Google review
Probably one of the best restaurants in Israel to eat a traditional Israeli food. The Sufrito, Hummus with beef (and anything else) is very recommended

Great home cooked meals. Usually come just for kubbeh, but we tried the hummus and babaganoush and both were amazing.

Abie is a culinary hotspot in Tel Aviv, brought to life by the talented chef Asaf Doktor. Known for his innovative approach to Israeli cuisine, Abie offers a structured concept that includes unique dishes like the iconic charcoal kohlrabi with Meiri cheese. The restaurant provides a delightful journey along the Mediterranean coast, making it a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts.
Great value for money! The fishes are fresh and they know how to work with it, everything is local industry. I think it reflects the Israeli, Tel Avivian kitchen very well. The service was very good and exceptional to Tel Aviv (usually the service isn’t so great). I recommend sitting at the Chef’s bar.

I had a great meal at Amie in Tel Aviv with a friend! We started with the watermelon salad, which was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm day, though it wasn’t very filling. Next, we tried the calamari in olive oil, and it was absolutely delicious—super tender and flavorful, especially with the bread for dipping. For the main, we shared the whole fish, which was perfectly seasoned and so tasty. The restaurant has a lovely indoor/outdoor vibe with lots of string lights, creating a really nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance—it gets busy!
Makhimba S — Google review
This time I'm giving it a 3, but it has the potential to be a 5. The food that we did get was amazing. They just couldn't get the 2 main closed served, and then started making up excuses and lying about it. This exchange took part after we gave up and asked to cancel the order and get the check: Manager: I understand you wanted to cancel. Your orders are ready, I have them right here (one plate in hand) Me: both of them? Manager: em, er, eh, ok, I'll cancel your order.

A delicious journey along the Mediterranean coast with exciting flavors - a must for seafood lovers! Came here for dinner on a rainy day and had a great experience, service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere casual. If anything, the atmosphere was a bit too casual for the culinary experience that this place offers, and a bit more thought could’ve been put into the design of the space. That, however, is my sole complaint. Every dish was delightful and some offered really interesting flavors. Dishes that stood out include the warm sheep’s milk feta, the Little Tunny tartare, and the sea bass schnitzel. The alcohol menu is likewise extensive and the house cocktails are excellent - we loved the turmeric sour! We were too full to have dessert but the options they had sounded yummy, will try next time. In short, a pescatarian’s paradise that will not disappoint!

We had a group of 5 (we made a reservation). We tried maybe 4 or 5 appetizers, 2 or 3 salads, 3 or 4 meals, and 4 desserts. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOOOO GOOD. There was not one dish we didn't enjoy. We had the cucumber gin drink and it was delicious as well. We shared all the food and split the bill, and it cost about $95 American dollars (including 15% tip!). The staff was so friendly, attentive, and suggested excellent dishes. Highly recommend. I will come here every time I am in Israel.
Aleja S — Google review
Great place to have dinner even if you eat healthy and clean and even if you wanna explore some really interesting choices. The place doesn’t have any meat, it is only vegetables, fish and seafood. The octopus was dry and over cooked. But beside that, everything els was really nice and fresh. Totally keep in mind if you’re around and wanna go somewhere that not everyone knows about.
Dor — Google review
Abie is one of 2018's "the-place-to-go" in Tel-Aviv. The location is strange, but the place itself is nice and comfy. The service is great and the menu is seasonal with fish and vegetables only. The food was good and the overall experience was very positive, here are the bottom lines: - entrees and smaller dishes were disappointing - usually in seafood places, they are the highlight of the meal. Here we took the most recommended but none of them left any mark. Underwhelming. - the mains were the highlight of the meal! Great fish, flavorful, perfectly done, the meat of the fish is the star, while the sauce and side are complimentary. That is rare and therefore was a very pleasant surprise. - dessert was cool - the marshmallow was ok, the yogurt with zaatar was a great surprise. - It is not cheap. Almost 300 shekels per person including a drink and dessert for a full meal. It is possible to eat well for a reasonable price, compared to similar fish restaurants.
Lior K — Google review
Abie is an amazing place, awesome vibe, I highly recommend ordering a table upfront for the best seating arrangement. But even if you walk in you will be having a great day! Service is kind, warm, and will explain everything to you. The menu changes everyday to somewhat degree, so many delicious options. Try the things you would never think will be good, you will be happily surprised! It was my 2nd time in Abie and I enjoyed it very much. Great wine selection, great food selection, and everything is so fresh and tasty.

Restaurant
Bar 51 is a trendy bar and restaurant located in the Renoma boutique hotel, which has quickly become a popular spot in Tel Aviv since its opening in 2019. The establishment offers creative European dishes and desserts, along with an array of cocktails and wine. The ambiance is hip and laid-back, with postindustrial design elements adding to the trendy atmosphere. Guests can enjoy small plates of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine meant for sharing while watching the kitchen team at work.
We went for lunch on the weekend, the place wasn’t crowded at all. We set in the bar, great atmosphere and lovely place. I will mention that I had no intention of going there because I heard that the portions were small and not worth the price, although it was delicious. The food was great, everything was fresh and delicious, the dishes were small, but we shared everything which allowed us to eat and taste a selection of dishes. Although there wasn’t much ppl the service was bit slow and at the end we got the desert on the house and it was very nice!
Michal N — Google review
An Elite restaurant in a trendy bar setup at the promenade of Tel Aviv beach. The whole restaurant is around drinking and sharing small plats of fine food, which is around Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. We ordered around 6 dishes with wine by the glass, and the food was excellent, although the plates are quite small compared to their somewhat high pricing. All of the dishes were prepared superbly, thoughtfully mixed to give the right experience and let you enjoy the food. Service was OK, not excellent as you would have expected. All in all a good experience, mainly if you look for a drink and something on the side.
Yossi T — Google review
We came for early dinner to celebrate our anniversary and had a good experience. The dishes were tasty and accurate. Yet, a bit small considering the price but it is very common in Tel Aviv to do that so I can't be too judgmental...all the wine paring was excellent and the cocktails were simple but well done. Additionally the vibe in the place is hype and cool and the service is fine.
Bialermeister — Google review
We really enjoyed this place. Hostesses need to be a bit more attentive, but they definitely aren’t anything as close as what people write on here. The ambiance is modern & cool, place was full, our server Maya was top notch. The food, melt in your mouth delicious. I forgot when I ate such an interesting and awesome flavors and I’m from NY. Definitely will be back on our next trip.

I had a fantastic experience at Bar 51! I feel lucky to have secured a table outside as the restaurant is so popular. The food was absolutely amazing - fresh and bursting with flavor. Although there was a miscommunication with the waitresses, it was quickly resolved and didn't detract from my overall experience. I must say, the chefs at Bar 51 really know what they're doing. The fish was cooked to perfection and the flank steak was super delicious. It's always a pleasure to discover a restaurant that delivers both taste and quality. Despite the higher prices, I still highly recommend Bar 51 to anyone looking for a great meal. The quality of the food and the experience are definitely worth the expense.

Wonderful food. Fusion of Mediterranean and French cuisine. Fine dinning in a cozy and young environment. Don’t miss the first dishes, the cheese and the fresh seafood with a twist. Highly recommended during your visit to Tel aviv
Rana H — Google review
Ordered a steak and after 40 minutes of waiting, nothing arrived, and I had to ask the waiter about it. Only then did they bring it out 10 minutes later and it wasn’t even cooked properly, just raw. Also, if you come on a date or want to have a conversation, it’s impossible to hear each other inside. The place felt like a hip-hop concert lol, with loud speakers and rap music, so not a place to enjoy a meal and talk

Romano is a vibrant and popular bar and restaurant situated in the heart of Tel Aviv's trendy Florentin neighborhood. Housed in a historic building with a rich past, it now offers an eclectic mix of entertainment including music, comedy shows, and film screenings in its central courtyard. The bar attracts a diverse crowd, from hipsters to locals, who come to enjoy the lively atmosphere and extensive drinks menu featuring cocktails, beers, and spirits with a focus on local craft brews.
had a very nice experience here. loved the sweet potato that was definitely the highlight. also got delicious corn on the cob and artichoke hearts. this place did not disappoint!
Alexandra K — Google review
Food was a bit disappointing for the price we paid. The prices seem reasonable at first, but the portions are very small. The burger was too salty to enjoy and overcooked. Also had the shrimps, whose sauce was nice but came whole and peeling them was a bit unpleasant. The staff were very professional and friendly, and the restaurant itself was spacious. I only wish the food also lived up to my expectations.
John S — Google review
The atmosphere at Romano is unique, with a special space and a true Tel Aviv vibe. The dishes are creative and tasty, especially the meats and fish, and the chef brings refreshing variety to the menu. Prices are high and service can be inconsistent, but still a recommended experience.
Guy K — Google review
This restaurant located at the 2 floor of commercial building with a large and beautiful inner courtyard. Very lively atmosphere. A lot of people. We like the food. sweet potatoes, homemade spicy, fish, salad, and dessert. I less like the orange and carrot cake. Prices are quite high.
Niv S — Google review
We’ve been there on a brunch. Some dishes were really good (fish & chips, bell pepper with ricotta) but there were some which were not good to say the least, for example bread with red caviar - caviar didn’t taste fresh and had a bad smell. Artichoke also didn’t taste good. Besides that some dishes came out very fast but my friend had to wait almost 40 minutes for a regular English breakfast and bread with caviar. So everyone already finished eating and he was the only one waiting for his dish. And last thing the waiters were not very attentive. Summing up, the food was overall good with some exceptions, the atmosphere was nice but the whole experience was spoiled by the service.

People should stop acting like fashion victims and stop honoring places that don’t honor their customers. All Eyal Shani's personnel havr a nonchalant attitude and poor service awareness and will still look at you weird if you dont top them 15%. Worth of all is the size of plates. The shrimp carpacio was made with 1 shrimp...sad abusing place

Lame service, the food is mediocre and the prices are exaggerated. We came to celebrate a birthday and were very disappointed with the choice of place. Hope that, in our experience, you will not suffer. 31.01.2020

Typical restaurant catering to tourists: slighlty overpriced (but not too much), food OK but could be better, poor service, dirty. But the view of the place is good and it is probably the better option on the hill.

Really really delicious food I had the lamb kebab and wife had Greek salad. Food also come with bread and several extra side dishes that as my wife slightly unwell and I was stuffed from the kebab couldn't eat. The person who served us (who I assume was the owner or manager as he was everywhere) was excellent and looked gutted we didn't clear our plates. If you read this I am sorry we didn't manage it the food was genuinely delicious and the service was excellent.
