Great local eatery with traditional dishes. Fast service and friendly staff. We went back few time during our week traveling in Cairo.

Had kofta with rice set, and molokhia with chicken set. Both are nice and very Egyptian food. Kofta is sausage like made with minced beef and spices. Serve together with Egyptian salad and rice Molokhia is thick soup. Made with a plant called jute mallow, sesame and oil. Pair with chicken, rice and marinated tomato.

Zooba tastes good, but the service was slow and unorganized. There was a waiting queue and the people at the tables were also waiting. They got our order wrong twice. We didn't ask to correct it the second time. They don't provide tissues or wet wipes or eating utensils. Overall, it's good taste, cleanliness in the kitchen, which is important for the customers, not necessarily in the eating area. Would visit again, but it's overrated.

Good experience at Abou Tarek. They offer Koshary and Lentil soup in a bread bowl. we had both and the taste was quite good and unique. They offer salad, chips and pickel on the side. You can also add spicy sauce as per your taste. We also had rice pudding in desert and the taste was good. he space is a bit congested since it's housed in an Old building but the service is good.

We read that this was the best place to try Koshari, and it’s absolutely true! 🤤it was delicious! The staff were very kind, we got a table right away, and they treated us very well. We also tried the rice pudding dessert (Roz bil Laban) which was fantastic! Everything was incredibly cheap for the delicious food we had. Highly recommend!!!!

very affordable place to have lunch/dinner. the staff is very friendly and they would even invite you to take a video of them while mixing the condiments and sauces into the koshary itself. the only issue is the limited capacity of the restaurant since it’s small; however there’s 3 floors in where you can definitely find a spot to dine in

Very nice place i would highly recomend to go if you visit cairo. The waiter on the 3 floor was extremely kind and helpfull, he explained the menu and everything. The koshary was very nice and also the desserts. Very good prices aswell, dont miss it

The koshary is good, but the service not really, one of the waiters was very grumpy and was answering like i was bothering him. I tried to order water 5 times, also he told me that they only have koshary nad and it was no true because they also have some soups but he didn’t want to give me the menu. Will never come back

Nice to try Egyptian good in a restaurant where locals also go. The Koshary was good, mixture of different pasta and beans with a slightly sour sauce. Service was nice and attentive. Price was very reasonable. We also try a Egyptian cola there, which is blue cans.

The KOSHARY made here is really good, they are famous in that area. My driver advised me to go there and we ate 2 plates. Very good price, very good food, healthy in their way. Fast service. They speak English.

The atmosphere at Naguib Mahfouz Restaurant is truly charming — rich with traditional Egyptian decor and a warm, nostalgic vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into history. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming experience. However, the food itself is average Portions are decent, but the flavors felt a bit underwhelming for the price. Oriental desserts are not good at all, kofta seem to be pre-cooked and stored on the fridge and then coocked. Overall, it’s a nice spot to visit for the ambiance, but don’t set your expectations too high on the food.

The atmosphere is fantastic, it gives you a magical feeling coming from Egypt past 🪄 very clean. Bad service, we asked many times for napkins, soft drinks in the cans were expired, there was a delay with food and couldn’t figure out which orders they delivered , definitely not the place to visit when is busy. Communication with personnel was challenging 🤣 and they were trying to overcharge at the payment. Better not to visit. They offered us a course at €60 each person which when we asked around the charge should be €20 😅😅😂

Naguib Mahfouz Café, located in the heart of Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, is a charming spot named after Egypt’s Nobel Prize-winning author. A hidden gem in the middle of Khan El Khalili bazar. The atmosphere is very authentic and the staff adds that extra notch to really make you feel welcomed. The food is traditional Egyptian food. The service is fast and efficient. They will always try and accommodate and changes to the meal, in case there is something you do not like. In our case they replaced the rabbit for chicken and changed the green sauce to a nice traditional tomato dish. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The food here is delicious. The chicken liver dish is amazing, ox tail stew is also nice, and you should try lentil soup and ox leg soup, there are very soft and umami.

We had a lovely dining experience at Zitouni. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful views that added to the overall charm. Service was attentive throughout our meal. The food was good – smooth, flavourful hummus and a deliciously spiced Hawawshi really stood out. The mixed grill was also tasty and well-prepared. While the desserts were a bit underwhelming overall, the chocolate knafe was a standout and absolutely worth trying. A solid spot for a refined Egyptian meal with great service and ambiance!

For Egyptian food lovers ..this is an amazing breakfast place as well. Great traditional Egyptian food like “foul, taameya, feteer meshaltet, baladi bread” All served in a beautiful atmosphere with a unique Nile view. Service is warm and friendly and very attentive.

You get up to choose the salad Then again to choose main dish and again to choose dessert It’s a buffet but much more private, it felt like they made the food just for us The dishes are like Egyptian homemade food. The vegetables in tomato sauce بسلة وجزر بالدمعة and red meat cooked in ways I never dared to try. All tasty made with love and the chefs are happy to serve you, they explain the dishes and encourage you to try the food. The Nile view completed the experience. You can take smoke breaks at the bar next door same floor, where there is live piano music.

We had the ala carte instead of the buffet which we found to be more appealing. The chicken shawarma and lamb was cooked perfectly and the complimentary dessert Om Ali was delicious.

Nice restaurant with very good location to see the Nile River

Firstly I want to mention that I though I forgot something in there. It was very special to me. They handle the situation professionally and I learn that I wasn’t left any belonging in there. They were super helpful and super kind. Like I was thinking that I am %100 sure but in the end I was mistaken… Still, they helped me a lot. Amazing staff, amazing manager, amazing security. About the foods, foods was really good. Beefs especially. There were lots of desert choices. We ate kinda a lot. For the drinks it was very good too. I drank bellini and the amount of champagne was decent. And the scenery+service were good too. Shortly , I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to have a professional, decent, elite service in cairo. They are pretty sure knows what they doing. Thank you for your service.

I read a lot about this place and seen videos. I was very curious to try it. I ordered three dishes, I liked the stuffed vegetables the most, although some pieces were a bit dry. I ordered beef in cumin sauce, which was good, but nothing too crazy. The molokhia is served without rice, as a soup. I didn't like it that much.

My favorite restaurant in Cairo. Loved it so much I came here twice and cried that I didn’t discover it earlier to have every single dinner here. While the dishes may not be photogenic, I guarantee you they are very tender, juicy, flavorful, and generous. I especially appreciated the knuckle soup, the different liver dishes, and the bean soup (the best bean soup I’ve ever had, bold claim I know). They change the menu daily so you can always come back for more. Run don’t walk to Fasahet Somaya!

I visited this restaurant evening. I ordered the beef piccata, green salad, glass noodle rice, and rice pudding. All were excellent. It was delicious. The rice pudding and beef piccata were some of the most delicious meals I have ever had in my life. I will visit you again when I come to Cairo.

The place is small in the most charming and cozy way, with colorful walls and a warm homely atmosphere. The staff and Chef Somaya are wonderful, welcoming, and make you feel at home. We had the Chicken stew with mixture and the Kebab Hilla (slow-cooked beef stew)—both were excellent, flavorful, and felt authentically homemade. The Molokhia and Vermicelli rice were simple but comforting. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience—it felt like dining with family.

Home cooked market fresh meals! You won’t be disappointed. Skip places like Felfela (for the tourists) and spend your money here instead. Go early at 17h because when the food is gone, the restaurant closes. Absolutely worth it. We got everything that was on the menu and it was delicious.

The bad reviews don’t do this restaurant justice! Extensive Egyptian menu. Excellent service and an atmospheric setting. Food came out very quickly. Some of the dishes could have been hotter. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Zamalek. Booking essential.

Delicious Egyptian cuisine and atmosphere that transports you back 100 years! I’d eaten here 3-4 times ten years ago, and just returned for dinner last week. It holds up & it great to see both local business people dining alongside tourists :) I love the meseka’a (eggplant in tomato sauce) dish!

Having just bought the book of recipes from the restaurant accidentally the same day, we went there with high expectations, as the recipes and the ingredients looked fantastic. This was just to find out some cold food (rice especially) and very bad service. We got Bessara, Kobeba, Circassian chicken and Fatteh. Apart from Kobeba, the rest was average and below. As for the service, just an example: we waited for the bill around 30 minutes - asked around 5 times. Unfortunately, this was a bad experience. Although I still recommend the book.

Old school but more trendy Egyptian restaurant in Zamalek, if u like the Egyptian food but not too heavy as others, here is the place for u!

The restaurant promotes itself as a place for authentic Egyptian cuisine, but for anyone who truly knows Egyptian food, this is by far one of the weakest experiences. The flavors are flat, the dishes lack authenticity, and the overall quality does not match the reputation or the prices. The staff and management seem completely unresponsive and disconnected. There is little sense of hospitality, and the team appears unfamiliar with the basics of proper service. The ambiance and décor are beautifully designed and give a strong first impression, but unfortunately the poor food and unprofessional service make the overall experience disappointing and not worth repeating.

We went there twice and the first time the food was amazing however the second time I found some thread in the food. The stuff brought us two deserts and one tea and said it is on the house. However at the end when we wanted to pay, they charged us for the deserts.

This place converted me to a falafel fan or as the Egyptians call it Ta’ameya, recipe being also a bit different and in my novice opinion the best I have tasted. It was super crunchy on the outside, bright with ground spices and soft on the inside. Perfectly spiced and packed full of flavor. The other stand out were the Veal chops. Food overall really tasty. Fit out a bit eclectic, with fish tanks, bird houses, murals and eclectic lamps. All a little dusty, mysterious and giving off just the Cairo vibes a tourist is after. Where the place falls done is Service. Friendly faces standing around, forgetting items, missing cutlery and taking forever to bring a drink.

Very good food in an amazing building. Tourist vibe does not take away from the experience. Falafel was excellent although lacked seasoning. Tourists should be aware that credit cards are not accepted and the service charge does not include a tip. Typical Egypt…

It is the true definition of a HIDDEN GEM. Perfect Egyptian authentic food served by the most friendly staff in a very unique calming atmosphere. 👌🏼 Highly recommended 👍🏼

Feels like Felfela used to be a Cairo classic… but the version I got was definitely from a parallel universe. Bread? Dry. Omelette? Cold. Baba ganoush? Tasted like it heard of aubergine once. And the rice with vegetables? Let’s just say I’ve had hospital food with more flavour... Final twist: they slapped VAT and service on the bill even though the menu says it’s included. When I mentioned it, I got a “your choice” smile. In short: Felfela is now more museum of old reputation than restaurant.

I really like the Tom Yum soup - super tasty! The crispy fried duck was a bit overcooked and dry, and both the fried banana ice cream and banana piña colada were too sweet for my taste. Loved the hibiscus-ginger welcome drink tho, and they even refilled it for me. Atmosphere and service were great, but note that menu prices are before VAT and service charge.

Great Egyptians services with the attentive staff. Thai food was one of best outside of Thailand with the local and Thai ingredients. If one is looking for an Asian fix during trip to Cairo, highly recommend visit to Bridcage.

The BIRDCAGE is located inside the Intercontinental Semiramis in Cario, Egypt. It is a lovely Thai restaurant. The restaurant is very nice. The service was top Notch by Mohamed Lesayed, and I forgot the name of the lovely young lady who suggested great dishes. Mr Mohamed was attentive and helpful. He was quite nice to speak with, being that we're visiting. Our food was magnificent. The shrimped were wrapped in a delicious crunchy cage. 😋 the chicken minced salad had the perfect amount of heat. Everything we ate was good.

Piccolo Mondo, nestled in the basement of Le Pasha boat, offers a cozy setting with pseudo "Italian specialties". The ambiance is charming and the service is decent, making it a pleasant spot for a casual meal. The food itself is middle-of-the-road — nothing extraordinary but passable. The biggest letdown was the bread buns, which tasted like they were defrosted in the microwave and lacked freshness. Overall, it's an acceptable choice if you're not seeking culinary perfection but just a relaxed meal by the Nile.

What a great place! We kicked off our Egypt holiday here and finished it here because Carlo Le Pacha 1901 does everything we wanted. Good beer? Check. Tasty cocktails? Check. Excellent food (both Egyptian and other choices)? Check. The real winner for us was the combination of all that with a solid shisha/hookah menu and live sports on TV. It's the complete package you struggle to find elsewhere. The vibe is upscale but comfortable. We'll be back on our next trip for sure!

Le Pacha is an absolute gem in Cairo! The food was delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a memorable evening. Disappointing experience. Le Pacha group is recognized for upscale dining, specialy, Carlos. However, piccolo mondo was a disappointment. In a basic Italian themed restaurant, you are served high quality EVOO and a fine balsamic vinegar, paired with good quality bread, while waiting for the meal. That was not provided until we asked for it. We received a bowl of stale olive oil, and low quality balsamic vinegar. Compared to other lower caliber Italian themed restaurants in heliopolis, piccolo mondo failed. Pizza ingredients were good, the expected quality, but the dough was more of chewy bread. In the end, that was not the anticipated quality while dining in le pacha

Better make a reservation. It was a very pleasant experience with loads of Italian vibes. As if you are sitting inside an old pizzeria in Italy. The menu is varied and the quality of the food is worth the price. We enjoyed a selection of Italian salads, Salami pizza, and Penne Le Pacha. We were quite full and we had no room for dessert after this delicious load of carbs. You get to enjoy a very nice and close view of the Nile since it is located in the bottom floor of the boat. Fit for a date and a casual dining experience.

I must admit, I had high expectations for this pizza place, but it fell short of my expectations. The pizza was bland and the crust was thick and unappealing. It was a complete disappointment. On the bright side, the service was excellent. The waiter, with white hair and a thoughtful demeanor, took care of everything except for the pizza. The lasagna was okay, but not as good as the pasta at the nearby O’s. The salad was average, with a small portion and a high price. Despite these shortcomings, there’s still a chance I’ll visit again.

One of the best pizzas in Egypt. To be honest the toppings are much better than the dough. But overall the food is tasty. The personnel are very gentle and welcoming. For sure, a place that I certainly would like to come over again with pleasure.

Found this beautiful quaint little place today. Founded in 1922 with art deco lights. Plenty of vegetarian options. Ordered the Capriossca pizza (my first ever pizza with boiled egg!) and Margherita and cheese garlic bread. Simple, flavorful but delicious. Friendly service and quite popular with the locals. Their molten chocolate cake was also nice Open 24hrs for delivery. Shut only from 2am to 5am! Definitely a place to visit again.

The food is delicious, but there are definitely better pizzas and pastas elsewhere. The pizza crust is very, very thin. The price is overpriced; you can eat much more elsewhere for less. It's only good to try once, no more. The place is cramped, and sometimes sitting with a moderate number of people is uncomfortable.

I loved the place and its vibe. The staff is friendly and your order comes fast. The pizza is amazing! I’m not a pizza loving person. But this vegetarian pizza made me fall in love with it. It was filled with toppings and the dough is thin so I can enjoy the toppings even more! I also liked the alfredo pizza, but vegetarian is my favorite. Highly recommend if you like veggies! You can also add cheese to it. The prices are very affordable and they include tax(not service). And by the way, don’t order garlic bread you’ll be disappointed. Focus on the delicious pizza!

April 2024: been here more than 10 years ago.quality has changed for the worse. It was the best quality cheese and soft thin Napolitano dough. This is a product place, it should reflect on quality of ingredients. We got 2 medium pizzas. The dough is thin and dry, gauging from -my pizza making days-I think this is a ready-made dough. It was dry and not tasty. The cheese quality is best there is in this high cost market but it is not like before. The tomato sauce is not represented in the taste group of the pizza. The 3 stars are for the dry dough and for that the place has no bathroom 😲 . I'm sure it was not possible to put one for whatever reason, but it is not acceptable to have a sit-down restaurant without a bathroom.

The first restaurant we ate at in Egypt, the food was absolutely delicious and the service first rate. The kebab served on a table side spit was a high point, and the Beyti kebab gave a savoury baklava vibe. Highly recommended!

This Turkish Restaurant belongs to the Hotel Kempinski NILE. We got invited for a meal from the Restaurant Manager, Mr. Ahmed Ragab, whom I have informed about some negative experiences in the Lounge and Blue Restaurant. The ambiance of the Restaurant is nice but not luxury, what I have expected from a 5 Star Hotel. We were sitting in a separate room. Fast we got the Menu. We ordered Mezze ( 6 different were served), the Jumbo Prawns and mixed Seafood baked in the oven. The presentation could have done better. All of the fresh fish was swimming in the deep sauce on a small fish plate. It was difficult to find the fish due to be covered and swimming in the brown sauce. The taste of the mixed fish ( white fish and Salmon, Prawns and Mussels was good except the two Mussels. It was difficult to eat from this plate. If I wouldn't have done it slowly and carefully all would have landed on the table cloth. Opposite the Mezze was perfectly prepared and of an unbeatable good taste. What a pity that nobody has cared about us sitting in a separate room. In general I can recommend this Restaurant.

This is a lovely restaurant by the Nile. This was a last-minute stop as another place we looked at was closed. The menu is more than comprehensive and it would be very hard to decide on the things you want to eat. Definitely get one of the starters and a main, if there is room left a dessert will do it just right. We had a few different things and we loved it all. We loved the experience from the start to the end and will repeat it on our next stay. Our waiter Oman was very kind, and friendly and this experience was special.

We booked table of 12 in which we had a business dinner 🍽️ and the setup was ready when we arrived , the staff welcomed each of us and we order a family style sharing each item starting from appetizers, main course and dessert 🍮 All was perfect and the staff is very friendly and the kitchen is amazing The atmosphere is amazing 🤩 and the Nile view is great 👍 Really highly recommended

It’s a fancy rooftop restaurant with a amazing view of the Nile. The ambience and service is great. We visited the place to experience their Egyptian breakfast which was beautifully served. The taste was really good and would definitely visit again. Generally for breakfast, prior reservation is not required but for dinner it’s recommend.

We came for our honeymoon and our host, Mohammed Mido, made our experience unforgettable. The first night we told him it was our honeymoon at the table and he invited us to learn to make the food we loved in the kitchen. We could not stay but had such an amazing experience that we returned the next night to find a table decorated with flower petals and our initials! We were invited into the kitchen to learn how to make the food! Not only is the food amazing and the entertainment and atmosphere awesome, but the service is incredible. We would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Bab El-Sharq inside The Nile Ritz-Carlton, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food is absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. Everything from the fresh mezze to the main dishes was prepared with great care, and you can really taste the quality. At night, the atmosphere becomes magical with live entertainment: traditional Egyptian folklore dance, music, and even a belly dance performance that made the evening unforgettable. It’s not just a meal, it’s a cultural experience! The service was also excellent — attentive, welcoming, and professional throughout the evening. If you’re staying at the hotel (or even if you’re not), I highly recommend Bab El-Sharq for both the amazing food and the unique entertainment. A wonderful taste of Egyptian hospitality and tradition.

The only good thing about this place was the atmosphere, everything else is not worth the money. Starting with how horrible the customer service is at this restaurant. I would have imagined that a restaurant at a prestigious hotel like the ritz Carlton would aim to provide a service that went above and beyond but that is far far from the case. The waiters don’t seem to care to provide good customer service. I had to flag the waiter to just put my order in because they had forgotten about us, and it wasn’t because they were busy he was just on his cell phone. Then, when I told the server to come back to take my drink order he never came back. Appetizers came and I had nothing to eat my meal with. The server was no where to be found. We wanted to make an order for a main meal and again no server. Eventually I had to ask for the manager to come and help out which they sent the assistant manager. It did help get things going a bit but by this point I was already upset. They gave us a dessert, without asking if we wanted one, as a way to make things better but honestly by this point I just wanted to go back to my room to sleep. I would say considering the amount of money we spent the food was just okay. Again, I imagined better. The only thing this place has going for it is the evening shows and entertainment, but once the bad service and mid food comes in you’ll likely start to forget about it. Not sure I would come back.

We ordered, waited for an hour, and they asked us to re-order because they lost the first one. First time that’s ever happened to us. A shambles, but the live music was really good while we waited. But then the food came and it was just great. Followed by some nice shisha.

I had a wonderful experience at the Grill Restaurant. The food was excellent and full of flavor, and the view of the Nile made the atmosphere truly special. We celebrated my wife’s birthday there, and I had asked for a cake in advance — they delivered it beautifully and made the celebration unforgettable. A special thanks to Mr. Walid for his warm hospitality and outstanding service. It is a bit on the pricey side (around 4000 LE per person), but for the quality, service, and overall experience, it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommende

I loved this place. When we entered we were told it is fully booked although most tables were empty. When we were about to leave they kindly offered a table outside which is what we wanted. Entire night most tables outside were empty but may be this is normal in Egypt . Food was great and delicious. I had the minced meat and my wife had lamb with rice. Service was ok. Views were stunning and overall a pleasant experience

We had an excellent time at Zeeyara! The food was delicious- our favourites were the bulgur camel meatballs, Auzy Zeeyara and the sahlab drink. A special thanks to Mohammed Yasir, who made our visit even better with his helpful suggestions, great sense of humour and professional service. A very beautiful place with amazing views and a lovely terrace. I visited during the day, and it was still stunning — I imagine the atmosphere at sunset must be incredible. It’s a bit pricey for Cairo, but worth it. Great service and very attentive staff. Just keep in mind that taxes and service charges are not included in the menu prices.

The experience at the seafood restaurant was very enjoyable. There was a wide variety of fresh fish and shrimp on display. We chose the sea bass and grilled shrimp with butterfly sauce. The restaurant was very clean and the service was fast. The average dinner cost for two people was around 3,700 EGP. I recommend it as a dedicated seafood restaurant.

Tasty food and fair price. ***** I came to this restaurant in 2022 FEB again. New decorations, new price and new rules. Compare to last year I went, I have to change my review. It’s more expensive than before but the cleaning was bad and staffs were pretty cold. The most important thing was the meals were not so tasty.

However, I had a few concerns: the butterfly shrimp lacked its usual flavor and tasted mostly of lemon, and the tahini was overly sour with a dominant lemon taste. I was very curious about trying an Italian restaurant in Cairo, so I went to Vivo for dinner. The view wasn’t particularly impressive: there’s a road between the restaurant and the Nile, and you can find rooftops with more striking views. That said, the service was very attentive and friendly, and I was able to walk in without a reservation (though I should mention I tried calling from my hotel room and they didn’t pick up). The food was okay. Of course, it’s a bit unfair to compare Italian cuisine in Italy, or even Germany, with Italian food so far from its source, since ingredient freshness plays a big role. Taking that into account, I’d rate it a 4. If it were in Europe, probably a 3. The Egyptian wine was fine, not super flavorful, but good enough.

We enjoyed lunch and dinner at Vivo! Our experience with Eslam and Raafat were stellar. Eslam’s table aide manner is exceptional. We never had to ask for anything. Raafat treated us to a special evening, decorating our table to offer us a one time experience that we will never forget. Chef’s Italian menu is exceptional and the restaurant views are out of bounds! Worth every penny!

Vivo - the Nile - the Ritz Carlton was amazing! I highly recommend the quattro formaggio pizza, risotto al basilica pecorino e polvere di pomodorini, and the bruschetta to start. The beef tenderloin was perfection. By far one of the best steaks I’ve had. The chef even brought out an amuse-bouche of mushroom arancini which was incredible. The head chef even came out to chat with us! The tirimisu for dessert is a must. We inhaled that. Our waiter Raafat was also amazing and so welcoming as this is our first time in Egypt. He was also incredibly timely so we never felt like we were waiting. This was an amazing way to start our vacation.

The food, the ambience and the view are all excellent. The Roca salad was very nice. The ravioli with seafood was perfect. The seafood was not overcooked.

Our group of four had a delightful meal and evening at Vivo. The service was beyond incredible. All staff were friendly and welcoming without sacrificing efficiency in any way. The food was well prepared and very tasty. Of course they made sure we seated overlooking the Nile River.

This is a restaurant my family and I eat at often as it offers the best sushi, Asian dishes, and amazing steak. Our favorite waiter is Ray who always has a smile on his face and takes great care of us! You will never be disappointed with chef Ahmed who we often let choose our dinner. If you’re looking for a very classic, upscale YET INVITING place to enjoy dinner I highly recommend it.

The place is amazing, high quality ingredients are used and the chef knows how to use them well! Tried the prawns gyoza and it was spectacular. The Philadelphia roll is exceptional as the salmon was very fresh. Also the Norwegian salmon plate was well-marinated and I liked it a lot. Ordered salmon, tuna and octopus sashimi; the tuna was very good but the others were average. Glass noodles tasted good but was a bit sticky. Didn’t like the dynamite roll that much, but generally fried sushi is not my cup of tea. The highlight of the table was the avocado dessert! I’m speechless about that plate! The mix of ingredients, freshness, tastiness is unbelievable! A mustttttt.. I wish I could have tried the Peking duck but it wasn’t available, would have preferred to be informed about this upon booking, as by default all items on the menu should be available, especially a signature one. However, the service is exceptional, they care a lot and are observative about your needs before asking, thanks Maged! Book before you go, and if you want a table on the view mention it, but they moved us once it became available. Price was 5.7k for two persons, you can easily spend less/more depending on the plates you are choosing.

One of the best Asian restaurants I ever tried, the selection of food is great and Chef Ahmed the Executive chef is super knowledgeable about the Asian dishes and helps guests to create their best food experience ever, I strongly recommend it and I will come again, Hats off

The food there was exceptional. The sushi and sashimi were amazing, one of the best places I ever tried sushi at. I tried the peking duck which was also very good. The truffle edamame was also great but I did not taste the truffle enough. The view was spectacular, I recommend asking for a smoking table to get the best views even if you don’t smoke.

The restaurant has a spectacular view that is absolutely unmatched. Staff we’re happy to accommodate our large group. Menu has nice variety of different dishes and is reasonably priced, considering the unique experience offered. Deducted one star as the food served was acceptable, but not up to expectation

It’s was an unforgettable experience, with extravagant views and food, the rotating dining hall is creative and fun, could have made so many interesting videos. The middle part of the building which includes open kitchen, elevators and simple bathroom(unexpectedly low-key, not match the environment actually) are fixed while the well decorated hallway and the dinner table are continuously circling but the edge of it including the glass and a small space between it are fixed too. The speed is very slow barely perceptible. So most of the time I just felt we were static because of illusion. We ordered two four course meals and it’s was more than abundant, the portion of the appetizers was bigger than I expected, plus the delicious little bit sweets of bread, I was almost full after it cause I was addicted to the bread! (I cannot believe that in the end the bread was the most delicious part🤣🤣🤣.) The soup were smaller portions and they put the solid part first and then the liquid part in front of you. It was funny but cute. When the two parts were not cooked together means the soul of the meal was separated. Furthermore the lamb shank was also giant with juicy sauce and milky mashed potatoes. But I could feel the slightly special smell of the lamp which I mind but most people don’t. I expected it to be seasoned better and stewed more thoroughly, in order to cover the smell. The sand&sea include shrimps beef which my company really enjoyed but I considered normal, and some vegetables to keep it look various and healthy. They deserts were so normal for me just like any other stores probably because we were already bloated in the end, kind of too heave after such a feast, so maybe we should have ordered some ice-cream or fruits if they provide. Overall, most of the time we had very good time with correspondingly high quality of service and attentive staff. However I don’t really understand about the bill except extra service fee and taxes not included in the menu, seems they charge a bit more than I should pay. It was 4373 pounds 89.42 dollars according to the rate of the day. But they directly charged 94.46. In whatever case they should explain or notify the difference while it was not a big deal. But seems they chose to do it hiddenly. Decency and honesty were so fundamental but still lacked in this high level occasion.

Hello, We ordered a 4-course menu. My main course was a beef steak, but unfortunately, it was served cold! The waiter, of course, acknowledged the issue and had it reheated. However, the dessert was moldy! (See photos!) So, out of four courses, two were disappointing. I was very impressed by the restaurant, the waiter, and the staff’s behavior—very nice and extremely friendly. But unfortunately, the food was not up to standard! Especially for a Hilton hotel, I expected better.

It completes a full rotation in about 1.5 hours, making for a captivating dining experience. While the food is average and doesn’t quite stand out, the stunning views make it a worthwhile visit. To dine here, you’ll need to book one of the designated time slots, and be aware that there’s a dress code—dresses are required for ladies.

Very French/Lebanese style restaurant for tourists but tasteful. A little pricey but food was good, staff speak good English and French - they allow smoking at tables which is disappointing these days. Nice cosy atmosphere though in Garden City area.

We just explored the restaurant on Google maps and gave chance to try Lebanese & Egyptian cuisine. We really enjoyed the food which was so delicious, especially mango juice was so pure and fresh. The staff was kind and very friendly which made our dinner more enjoyable. As lastly ambience was so chill with arabesque music.

I ate here twice. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is really fresh and delicious. As a vegetarian there are no main courses but so many amazing mezze dishes. Don’t miss this place. Try to book a table as it’s so popular.

This restaurant is found in a quiet street a short walk from the Nile. Through a small leaf coated archway and down some steps you find yourself entering a haven of colours, amazing smells and happy conversations. You get seen by a staff member instantly and taken to a table. This restaurant feels cozy, with a comfortable temperature. And it has Aircon. You will be asked for your drink choices and left alone with the menu. Two dishes I have with every meal are the Taboula and the humous. I could live on this!!!!! The humous comes with about 6 x 6inch breads, which smelt and tasted freshly made. Am only in Cairo for a few days but I would recommend this place to everyone. It is very well priced as well, not expensive at all.

Overall, the place is pretty decent. The food is really good, but I was a bit annoyed by the indoor smoking. The prices are also pretty reasonable.

The restaurant has some positives but also room for improvement. While the ingredients used in the dishes are high quality, the food itself was quite average and didn’t fully meet my expectations. Indian food was much better than the Thai food. The service was good, but considering it’s managed by Four Seasons, I anticipated a higher level of quality of service. One major drawback is that the restaurant isn’t stroller-friendly, which made it challenging to navigate with our kids.

Very underrated. The food was delicious quantities were good and the prices were suitable. Highly recommend it We ordered the bao buns & corn robatayaki for starters. And we got the Mongolian beef & coriander chicken, they both come with steamed rice but we ordered noodles & fried rice with them.

We ate at Nairu last night. We had the Beef Bao Buns and several different dumplings as well as sushi. All were excellent! Our server Hossam was exceptional! The view of the boats on the water was an added bonus.

The place is nice and calm. Food is super tasty i went for the Red chicken curry and Chicken makhni. Staff are auper professional, neat, friendly and really amazing. Parking is in front of the boat so you can park easily the only annoying part of it is el sayes and street beggars

Pros: The Egyptian dishes here are authentic and full of flavor—perfect if you’re craving real local food. The cozy decor and friendly staff make it a really welcoming spot. I'm fine with all the dishes my meal was nice and unique touch. Location in Zamalek is super convenient, surrounded by other cool places to explore. Overall rating is 07/10. Cons: It's not to find parking nearby!. And it gets pretty crowded during peak hours, so you might have to wait a bit for a table. Service can be slow when it’s busy, which can be a bit frustrating. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality of the food helps justify it. Otherwise can't complain.

Very cosy restaurant with reasonable prices serving home made oriental food, Egyptian kitchen, don't expect to have high standards of cooking or service, but it's delicious and well served. We tried grilled kofta and chicken Fatah, and it's good but not super. So overall, it's good to try.

Food was great, the koshari and spicy potatoes were delicious. When we arrived it was empty except for one other person (around 6:30). Service was a bit lacking and not overly friendly, but not rude at all. Food came out very quickly. The restaurant itself was a bit cheap feeling, more like a budget diner.

Was a terrible experience. 0 cleanliness. I found in the rice a peace of steel wire those we use to clean dishes with, thank god I saw it and showed it to them, it would have destroyed my stomach. And again found hair in the found, and ended up with a disaster finding insect in the food. The manager suddenly disappeared and left the place and I kept waiting for him. Until even the Chef was the one had to touch with his hands the Visa card machine so I can finally pay for the disgusting food. Toilet is very dirty and no toilet papers nowhere. Absolutely disgusting experience. Don’t recommend it, the food itself tasted old and not that delicious at all

Very small place but nice, the food is really home made and had a very authentic taste. I had kofta with potatoes in the oven, with rice, grilled vegetables and Egyptian pickle. The taste was amazing. The only drawback was when I requested the rest of my meal be wrapped for rake away, I was surprised when I got home to find the put the picks over the rice and vegetables!!!

We had our first meal in Egypt here and tried their Hamam Mahshi (stuffed pigeon), Molokhia and Vegetables Meat Tajin. It was delicious. The place is also big to cater for big groups of diners.

Sobhi Kaber offers an authentic taste of Egyptian cuisine. It’s the perfect place to experience traditional local dishes that might sound unusual at first but are absolutely worth trying. My top three recommendations are the Molokhia, Mombar, and Hamam Mahshi (Stuffed Pigeons) — each bursting with rich flavor and cooked to perfection. I wasn’t a big fan of the Hawawshi, but that’s just a matter of personal taste. The service is excellent; the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, which makes the whole dining experience even better. Overall, a great experience that I would definitely recommend for first time Cairo visitors.

The food was one of the most delicious foods I have ever tried. Actually the best I tried in Egypt during my 10 days visit. The prices are fair without those hidden extra costs. I suggest it to everyone who wants to have a good food and don’t care about luxus.

Food is not that good , found better taste And as for the place its big and traditional for sure which is i like But for the service it was as minimal as it can 😓 and i was disappointed. The table took soo long time to be cleaned . The Food didnt take long time . The employees there need to be behaved. And there is a fatal mistake which is combining the butcher shop entrance with the restaurant, customers and employees were literally fighting there and we couldn’t even enter there easily. the noise and the fights they made made my first impression . I dont think I would pay it another visit soon. The prices were good compared to the meal size .

After a long day we had some good food : the lentil soup, babaganoush, fresh warm bread, spring rolls, shrimp and steak! All coming at a fast time and tasted fresh.

The place is nice and cozy, light and music is quite. During my visit the place was almost empty, we ordered the beef with mushroom sauce and chicken with mushroom gravy as well, both were good, staff are friendly and decent. However when I was handed the drinks menu I noticed they mainly serve alcohol, so unfortunately I won't be going back, but overall was nice experience.

You can’t go wrong at Five Bells. The ambience was very elegant thanks to the piano player, among other things. No need to mention the service and the food because they met our expectations.

Probably you can’t call it a restaurant it’s a bar with dining tables, where smoking permeates the air, like most Egyptian restaurants. There is a delay in responding to your inquiries from the waiters. We find the food quality to be average or less, the prices are too high, and other services are being overcharged! Nice restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy music, food and drinks. Pianist playing outside are creating a nice warming atmosphere, not cold in chilling night. Alcoholic beverages and liquor served, as well as soft drinks. Food is great and tasty, however was too spicy, not an option. Our order was delayed for quite long enough. In a busy night, there were few dessert dishes not available. Waiters and staff were really nice. A highly recommended place.

I must say it is a very good Japanese restaurant, run by a Japanese man who suggests daily dishes and guide you on the selection with honesty. I recommend. It is inside the hilton hotel, ground floor. When entering the hotel hall, go left and walk to the corridor. You will see it on your ́left hand side.

One of the best spots for sushi in Cairo, Sashimi was great and fresh as usual, hoso maki rolls were on point. Shrimp tempura roll was one of my favs. No options for dessert except ice cream.

I visited this restaurant for lunch because I heard that I can eat really delicious Japanese food here. It is located on the ground floor of the Marriott. I wanted to eat tonkatsu, but they didn't have any thick meat for tonkatsu that day, which was very disappointing. I ordered agedashi tofu, tempura moriawase, sushi, pork shogayaki, and soy sauce ramen, and they were really delicious. I often get disappointed when I eat sushi overseas, but this place was different. And above all, the pork shogayaki was especially delicious. The total cost was about 2,500 EGP. This is a very satisfying restaurant. If you want to eat really delicious Japanese food in Egypt, you should definitely go here. I'm a Japanese person, so I can say this for sure. There were also staff members who could speak Japanese.

Very authentic Japanese food. But the service is absolutely terrible and basic, and I would never go back. Eg. We ordered a bento box with a variety of items and it arrived missing several pieces. After we noticed, they informed us that the menu was outdated and these items were no longer included in the bento box. It took an argument to get the items/replacements added to our order.

We ordered pork katshu and unagidon, pork katshu meat was jerkey and hard to chew and unagidon didn't came out due to poor service. One of the best Japanese restaurants you can find in Cairo. The Chef is Japanese and makes good sushi and other dishes too. I will definitely go there again. It’s a bit pricey but definitely worth the money. ごちそうさまでした🙂

The ice cream here is amazing! I tried the mango flavor, and it was absolutely delicious. Mango ice cream often tastes artificial, but this one was perfectly fresh and authentic. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors!

Hands down the best ice cream in Zamalek—maybe in all of Cairo. I tried the mesteka (fragrant, not overly sweet) and dark chocolate (deep, silky, clean finish): 10/10. Portions are generous, service is quick, and the price was 140 EGP for two scoops—worth every pound.

My number 1 to go for Basbosa in Egypt. I love to buy it Sada (no nuts) and if you can get it with fresh Eshta (fresh cream) it will be sooooo good. Eid Kaak is really good as well (my favorite is Malban) I got also malban with eshta and it was really good. You can get it wrapped really well for luggage but I prefer to carry it by hand. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful promenade. Perfect for warm sunny winter morning. However the service doesn't match the rest of the experience. The beer is barely cold, no draft beer available plus the service is extremely slow for unknown reasons. We had to wait almost 20 minutes for the check. This totally ruins the experience!

I'm usually very easy going and chill with places but this was genuinely one of the worst hotels I ever dined at. Ordered an all american breakfast and it was mid as hell, the eggs were overcooked, the hash browns were undercooked and the bagels are just baked dough. Everything was all over the place and the service was ridiculous. I had to ask for each little thing atleast three times, like my coffee which still hasn't arrived as I write this. If you're planning on having breakfast here, go somewhere else unless you like bland eggs and uncooked hash browns 😊

Worst Experience Ever. As a Marriott member, never been to a hotel cafe with such poor service. Staff is unfriendly and not helpful. The quality of food is not acceptable. We ordered one creamy chicken soup and one Lasagna. Staff just gave us one set of tableware and placemat, without any confirmation with the customer. When we ask for one more set of tableware, staff is impatient and we feel uncomfortable. As an international brand, it will be better to provide better training to staff.

The place has a gorgeous garden. It is a nice place for a lovely dinner experience with its luxory atmosfere. Foods are really delicious and the service is beyond excellent. Speacial thanks to Ayman and Mohamad! They were so helpful and smiling. Definietly recommend!!

It saddens me to leave such a review for what used to be my favourite place. Unfortunately, the experience has changed. The staff seemed overwhelmed and under pressure, which affected the level of service. The food quality was disappointing, small portions, lacking in flavour, and overall poor value for money. Even the coffee, which I used to love, was bitter. It’s truly disheartening to see this decline.

The breakfast was wonderful. Great options, and helpful staff, especially Mr Tarek and Ms Sahar. Will definitely return.

We had made a reservation and specifically requested a table by the Nile, but were seated far from it. The tables, plates, and cutlery were not clean. The food was disappointing and not like it used to be — the grilled meats were overly spiced and of poor quality, and both the molokhia and moussaka were below average. We like only hummus and mutable.. Despite this, there was a minimum charge of 1500 EGP per person, which is absolutely not worth it. To make things worse, we were subjected to inappropriate stares and harassment from some guests, and no action was taken when we reported it. We asked to change tables, but were told it wasn’t possible.Not Recommended

Together with my girlfriend and a friend of ours we went to Kebabgy to have great dinner on a lovely early August evening. We went there without a reservation, which wasn't a problem. We generally love Egyptian cuisine and we've been able to enjoy a great selection of it there. We'd definitely recommend having the Eggplant Salad, Assorted Oriental Cold Mezzeh, Stuffed Vine Leaves (my girlfriend and I love to travel & eat a lot and those were the best ones we've ever had so far), Mix Grilled and Grilled Vegetables, putting it all in the middle and just share & enjoy! Also: The freshly baked bread is wonderful and the Guava juice was very good. The location at the very southern tip of Gezira island, right at river Nile is just amazing. Views are very lovely at sunset and night time. Service provided by the waiters and all the other staff was very good. There might be some live traditional music performed from 19:00 on. What you should also expect, is to receive a fairly higher bill by the end of your dinner. If you're looking for a cheap meal, this isn't your place to go. Still, the prices seem to be fair with the quality, service and atmosphere that come with it and the fact that it's part of the next door Sofitel. If you're aware of that and fine with paying a bit of premium, you'll enjoy your meal a lot! Thx for everything

Wonderful, its located inside of the all saints church , vibes were so exciting, the place itself gets a bit crowded in the weekends but you’ll find a place nonetheless, it has outdoor and indoor areas both with different types of seating, staff is helpful, welcoming and very friendly yet very professional at what they do. After arriving three employees took over 7 minutes to acknowledge my request for a table. The service was slow although the waiter and busboy were attentive once you had their presence at the table. I ordered the eggplant parmesan served with penne pasta. It was okay. The lentil soup which was my appetizer was better along with the mango juice.

This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. We came as a group with foreign guests, and it turned into a complete embarrassment. The food was disgusting — tasteless, ugly, and served in ridiculously tiny portions that were outrageously overpriced. To make it worse, half of us ended up with food poisoning afterward. The service was just as bad: the staff were rude and inflexible, even disrespectful to one of our important guests. The atmosphere and decorations are nothing special, just average, and definitely not enough to make up for the horrible food and service. We strongly advise everyone — Egyptians or foreigners — to avoid this place completely.

I have no words to say , I made a reservation before I came and after I took more than 50 minute drive to the restaurant they won’t let me in because hijabis were not allowed.

The food was delicious and the service from Mohamed, Shady and team was excellent. The shrimp dumplings and Asian chicken wings were excellent as was my daughter's Oreo milkshake and my French Connection cocktail. For dessert- the panna cotta is a win. Thoroughly recommend Aqua and looking forward to visiting again.

The Sofitel’s Aqua bar had amazing customer service and a beautiful view of the Nile that made the evening really special for my family and I. The worst hotel in Cairo The procedures at the csr entrance are totally disorganised and the staff at the gates are extremely rude. Dropping the car at the valet is chaotic. The valet area looks like a storage space for the hotel’s junk and the stencg down there is unbearable. No one took the luggage from the valet to reception. No one accompanied me to my room. Security at the gates is not present at the back entrance of the Cairo Hall, and there is no cooperation at all. Everyone expects tips and handouts before doing anything for you. The hall’s air-conditioning drips water from overhead. The hall mirrors are filthy. The person managing the AC system is unprofessional. Event hall internet is weak. It’s the first time I see a hall full of mosquitoes! There is no signal in the elevator. Regarding the rooms: The AC is broken. I requested maintenance three times, and it kept breaking down. I requested to change the room, but there was no response and no change. For the hot water, you have to wait a long time—long enough to have a cup of tea before you can use it. Room soundproofing is terrible. You hear everything—the street, the weddings on the ground floor, room doors opening and closing. There is no peace at all. The TV has intermittent signal—you can sleep and wake up to find it working and stopping at random. The only good thing in the hotel is the housekeeping team— They are excellent, tidy everything with great skill and exceptional cleanliness. Even the closed terrace is cleaned. Everything you need, you’ll find in the room. Entering the room after they clean it gives you a sense of comfort thanks to how clean it is. Our room smelled HEAVILY of smoke. There is no way to air anything out. I complained to the front desk and they sent someone to spray air freshener to cover it, which did nothing. For a non-smoking room it was gross and now we smell. The decor is older. Also if you are not on the nile side bright lights are pointed to your window at night. The curtains covered most of that, but it was somewhat annoying. We had a suite, and it was disappointing for this brand. The restaurant was very nice, food was good, but you can stay elsewhere and just eat here. Front desk was not very accommodating. We arrived in the evening yet still had to wait for our smokers den to be “ready.” We were very tired or we would have switched hotels then. I just hope I can get the smell out of my belongings. The rest of the property outside our room is lovely, the restaurants have good food and the afternoon tea was awesome. Service in the lounge is very nice, the staff there is very accommodating.

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton Nile was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine smiles. The service was excellent, the staff incredibly attentive, and everything was spotless — the cleanliness and hygiene were simply perfect. A heartfelt thank you to Ahmed Rabie at the reception for his professionalism, courtesy, and kindness. He truly made our check-in and check-out experiences smooth and exceptional. And a very special mention to Youssri, the restaurant waiter — a man of rare honesty and integrity. His sincerity and decency are qualities you hardly find these days. We were genuinely touched by his attitude and will always remember it. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place that combines comfort, warmth, and genuine human values.

The service was second to none, the staff are available and ready to help with any and all requests. The hotel is lovely, with wonderful views of the Nile in front of the property. The floor to ceiling window in our room was perfect to enjoy the Nile River. The dining was convenient and very good. Breakfast buffet was the exceptional. The property was spotless and secure.

At reception, Mazen was incredibly helpful and patient — he handled everything with genuine professionalism and kindness, ensuring that the check-in process was smooth and pleasant. His calm and accommodating attitude truly set the tone for my stay. I attended a wedding and the waiter Aly Negm also stood out for his excellent service. He was attentive, swift, and focused, always anticipating what was needed without ever being intrusive. His attention to detail and warm manner made the experience for the guests exceptional.

OMG :-((((( The wedding! The noise! The lights! The noise! And directly under my window, on hotel grounds, while I tried to sleep. When did it finally stop? 2am? 4am? Earplugs were useless against it. What do I go to a hotel for except to get a good night's sleep? Total failure. Nice comfy room. Location directly adjacent to the museum. But zero stars! When I complained in the morning I was told that I should have enjoyed it - big weddings are part of Egyptian culture. Got a late check out so I could get some sleep. Would have been nice to be directed to a Nile view room from the outset which may have been a lot quieter. Only guests at the wedding should have been booked into this room. Terrible Wifi. Enjoyed having High Tea in the lobby. But had to chase down staff repeatedly for service.

The atmosphere was great! We went there in the night after dinner for some local beverage. Unfortunately couldn’t try the famous coffee instead local tea we had as it was late in the night. There was live music and service was good. Staff were very friendly. Definitely you should visit this place if you are in Khan El Khalili

I recently visited Fishawy Cafe in Khan El Khalili, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Right when I arrived, I noticed that some people sat down at my table and started singing. At first, I thought they were part of the cafe staff, but it turned out they were just customers like me. When I asked for the menu, they told me there was no printed menu available. This made it hard for me to know what food or drinks I could order. At the end of my visit, I was surprised to find out that I had to pay a large amount of money because one of the singers decided how much I should pay. To make things worse, these singers then asked for money for their performance. They didn’t mention this when they first started singing, which felt quite unfair. Additionally, the noise from street vendors outside made it really hard to enjoy my drink. They were so loud that I couldn’t relax or focus on my time at the cafe. I do not recommend visiting Fishawy Cafe. You might end up feeling scammed, and it’s unlikely you will have a good time there.

Tripped over this cool cafe in the bazaar. Stopped for a coffee (Turkish coffee) only LE 65 and to refresh with water. A few customers were smoking shisha, so I had a grape one for LE 175. Comfy chairs lined along the alley facing the mob, so you get lots of hawkers, but it’s part of the fun. Didn’t eat here. Waiters have a bitnof a Parisian stiffness- they don‘t take mucking about. Very atmospheric and recommended

They insist you come in and sit down. We ordered three Cokes. When we went to pay, they didn't accept card payments and we were charged 550. There are also people who want to sing to you at your table, even if you say no, they don't stop and ask for money the whole time. Definitely a terrible experience. I don't recommend it.

Nice and crowded place, great for enjoying some traditional Egyptian tea, fresh juice, or shisha in an authentic atmosphere. But there are two main downsides: First, it’s hard to relax because many people constantly approach you to sell things or ask for money. Second, there’s no official bill — at the end, they just tell you a price, and often it includes things you didn’t ask for or thought were complimentary. Still worth the visit for the experience, but stay alert.

Amazing view. The food was OKAY. Good appetizers and Om Ali dessert, but really dry Kofta & Shish Tawook. The rice was bland. I was invited by the US embassy for a lunch that I only enjoyed the view.

An accident happen that the drink cup was broken and I dropped the drink onto my pants. The team helped me with getting me a pant to wear and continue enjoying my evening with the beautiful Nile view, and they took the jeans I was wearing to laundry and got it done within 15 mns. Several team members have helped me with smile that made me feel so appreciated and comfortable in which I wanted to write about this experience to you all and recommend this place to you to visit.

My husband and I had an amazing evening here. The service crew was hospitable since the first moment we came in. The waiter, named Ziko, stood out for his outstanding service and a great sense of humor. We loved each moment sitting and waiting for our food which came pretty fast. I have to say i was expecting way more foe such an expensive place.. The view was quite nice specially at sunset.. the atmosphere and the lighting are romantic and beautiful.. now the food: I ordered the butter chicken which was delicious.. comes with the steamed rice and pickled mangos and yogurt My husband had the steak .. we asked for it to be medium-well but it came well done and was quite chewy.. very frustrating Crab salad was okay and for drinks we had the summer in cairo and morning star.. both were good For dessert we had the molten cake which came with a very small scope of ice cream Overall: non of the food was that special to be honest.. definitely doesn’t deserve 3k for a meal for 2 Not sure if I recommend this if you care about the food quality.. but if you want a nice place to hand out and have drinks it would be good enough for that

This is an exceptional place, went for all you can eat which gave the chance to try everything Starting from salads, great variety and all of them were exceptionally good. the raw seafood in the salad was great all the fruits were tasty. The appetizers was great the mozarella cheese and cheese balls, didnt like the fried banana at all. The beef and chicken were great, well marinated and perfectly cooked.didnt like the parmesan beef and bacon chicken. A bit pricey though paid 3000+ per person. Worth trying. Btw the garlic bread is amazing!

My husband and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary here. We got the all you can eat experience and it was so filling! My favorite was the parmesean cheese fillet mignon and the rib eye. I also enjoyed the salads and the banana sugar appetizer. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The service was outstanding. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the deserts are quite awful. We tried the chocolate fudge cake and lemon tart. Both were disappointing. But it was ok anyhow because we were so full from practically eating a whole cow lol.

A Masterclass in How to Ruin Churrasco… The setting was gorgeous, the service was polished, the sides were delicious, and the wine hit all the right notes. For a moment I thought we were about to have a proper Four Seasons experience. Then the meat arrived, and the dream ended. Apparently, churrasco now means “small random grill pieces tossed on skewers.” Who knew? The rotisserie, that small detail that defines the entire concept, was “not in use because it wasn’t busy enough.” That’s like saying the oven isn’t on because there aren’t enough pizzas. Every piece of meat that reached the table was well done, no matter how many times we asked for medium rare. I paid premium prices for what felt like the world’s most exclusive minute steaks. Beautiful spot, great team, but someone needs to remind the kitchen that churrasco is cooked on the rotisserie, not just spoken of fondly.

The steak & lamb chop was amazing. High quality of cooking and fresh meat. Should order medium rare of cooking. The virgin mojito without alcohol is amazing. The garlic bread is amazing too. Definitely will come again 😀

This was definitely a disappointment. The food was overcooked and under seasoned and really overpriced. The only thing that was remotely worth eating was the bread (which was served pretty late). And the waitering staff had attitude for some reason. The best thing is the view.

Absolutely the best steak I have ever had. Great location with a direct nile view, presentation and service. Everything is delicious even the appetizers, salad and the steak!. The only downside that their concept is only “All you can eat” with a price per person 1500 EGP after service and tax, so very expensive, especially for people that don’t eat much, it wouldn’t be as enjoyable!. Very recommended for special occasions or business meetings!

A very nice experience. The place is probably the smallest out of all Brazilian steakhouses I've been to but it is the only one in a boat on the Nile. It is very cozy with less than a dozen of tables. Cuts' selection was limited (when we went, picanha was not there. It is one of my favorites). Waiters took good care of us. Service was super friendly: Habiba and Moustapha were very nice. They were able to describe salads and hot dishes perfectly and provide recommendations when asked. The chef Karim, cooked our meat to a perfect doneness. He was also very kind to customize some cuts to our liking. Salads and hot plates were super nice except the cucumber/apple salad. Deserts were also great except the pudding inside the lemon tart was very cold, almost ice cream. Overall, we really enjoyed this meal and we would love to return.

The service is very bad!! The food comes late. Not in order, they you need to remind the waitress 6 times to respond to you. If you don't want to ruin your dinner I don't recommend it at all.

I had a wonderful experience at this Moroccan restaurant! The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with beautiful décor that makes you feel like you’re in Marrakech. The food was full of rich flavors — especially the tagine and couscous — and the staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive. A perfect place for anyone who loves traditional Moroccan cuisine and a cozy dining experience. Highly recommended!

We were welcomed into the restaurant and seated. Our table server was extremely friendly & professional for the entire time. Assisted in picking a local wine to go with dinner. The food was well portioned. The mix of olives and spices were very tasty. Main courses of tagine chicken and tagine seafood were flavoursome and delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant and commend the table server for his professionalism. Definitely would return.

Came in at 11:15am, food arrived at around 12. Two staff members. 3 other tables were occupied. I went up to ask for the menu, then later asked for his attention to take our order. Ordered the lemon curd pancake, shakshuka eggs, and matcha latte. They didn't have matcha. I walked up to the counter multiple times since they didn't seem to pay much attention to our table. Pros: location and atmosphere. The place is clean, well decorated with large windows. Cons: serving time and food delivery took about an hour. The eggs were undercooked, the pancakes were dry, and the toast was stale and hard as a rock. We asked to exchange it. He brought another 2 pieces that were rotten (green spots/mold was visible). He brought another piece of bread to make it up, but by then we were done with the experience. We left. I went up to the counter and asked to charge me only for the water. They charge 29 Egyptian pounds for a small bottle of water. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a supposedly upscale restaurant! Will never step foot in there again. It's so sad that it has such great potential, but is left to the hands of employees who don't care much to see it succeed!

We went there a little bit late but noone was there in the cafe, we sat down either way. Nothing was tasting great, specialy the ravioli was so bad, it was cold and just minty.The pastas were better. The vegetable sandwich or calzone, it was so bland. Maybe you can have pasta...

Went for lunch there, surprisingly quiet but overall a decent place for lunch. The restaurant felt a bit dated but the food was nice. The waiters were helpful as well.

The food was amazing, and the service was truly perfect. I highly recommend the sun-dried tomato eggs—they were delicious! This spot is great for a quick breakfast, as the kitchen is impressively efficient; despite being busy, the food doesn't take long at all to arrive. This rapid service is a major highlight. ​However, be prepared for a few drawbacks. While the quality is high, the spot is a little bit expensive, and it definitely has a touristy feel, with a constant flow of non-locals. ​My main piece of advice relates to comfort: be aware that it gets hot in the summer as there's no air conditioning inside, and only fans are found. This heat exacerbates the fly problem—there were a lot of them buzzing around, which was quite distracting and unpleasant while eating. Also, the chairs aren't that comfy for lingering. ​In short: come for the must-try sun-dried tomato eggs and the speedy service, but know that you'll pay a premium, share the space with tourists (and flies!), and won't be sitting in comfort or cool air.

What caught my eye about this place was the windows and the people who visited the place were so chill. I ordered Chef's burger. Usually burgers now all look the same but this gave me a different experience which added a different vibe to the place, that they entertain their costumers with different food scenery. The staff were friendly and responsive. What took away one star from my review was how they had two poorly printed menus both in English and Arabic (different copies) and somehow both were a bit different, that has confused me which is why I went to the safest option on the menu (aka a burger) overall it's a good place and I recommend people to visit it.

Nice clean food could do with more variety with it being a brunch place and not offering a great selection of eggs such as fried egg/poached egg or boiled eggs. Did get a few annoying flies constantly bugging me while eating.

Before I even entered, I loved the location of the restaurant, With cars passing by on the street and the view of the old Synagogue, However there were a lot of flies flying around so make sure to watch out for your food. We were two people, I ordered a single shot espresso and the other ordered Black tea with peppermint, We both had Classic penne pasta with tomato sauce and olives, The pasta sauce was fresh and pretty aromatic from the tomatoes. We also ordered a margherita pizza to share, Pizza came with a thin crust but was pretty cheesy and nice with that beautiful tomato sauce on it once again, I personally love both Thin and Thick crust pizza but some may not like it but I enjoyed it. Food took around 15-20 minutes to arrive but it was overall good. Prices were decent and overall I would recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting Downtown Cairo.

Pier 88 is so amazing that we made dinner reservations two nights in a row!! The food and the ambiance is incredible!! The filet had the depth of smoke that one can only dream of. The risotto was so creamy and tender, it was so good that it was to die for. The calamari was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The atmosphere is amazing and it makes it so easy for you to get comfortable and caught up in it. Spicy meatballs were probably the best I’ve ever had. The ravioli were absolutely beautiful. Our server George and Mena were great, keeping perfect timing and a perfect table for us… if you have not been to Pier 88 in Cairo, it is hands down an absolute must go place for the best food in Egypt!

Every bite was bursting with flavour, every dish an artistic piece, I got the crusted tuna fillet and the truffle tagliatele and the shrimp salad, everything was more than fantastic. Pricey but worth it in my opinion. And great views and atmosphere and the service was good.

Everything was absolutely amazing. From the appetizers to the main courses and even the desserts, every single dish was full of flavor and prepared with great care. The place itself is stunning, with a beautiful view and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and kind throughout our visit. Honestly, I can say this restaurant left a special mark on me. As someone who is Turkish and comes from a country known for some of the best cuisine in the world, I was truly impressed. This place deserves all the praise!

Bar'Oro offers a nice setting and relaxing atmosphere, but the pomegranate juice was underwhelming. It didn’t have the fresh, vibrant flavor I was hoping for — more average than special. While the presentation was fine, the taste didn’t stand out, especially considering the price. A decent stop for a drink, but the juice wasn’t anything memorable.

As a Chinese traveler visiting Cairo, I had a wonderful experience at the Ritz-Carlton.The pizza and cocktail — both were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced in flavor. Afternoon reprieve after walking around the city. Beautiful view of the Nile. The Pharoan hibiscus drink was a favorite amongst our whole group. The beers are ice cold and go down easy with the generous bar snacks. Definitely recommend.

Egypt is a fantastic destination, and staying at the Ritz is the perfect way to cap off the trip. This bar on the second floor is a quiet and cozy spot to enjoy a drink and talk about the historical things you saw that day. The staff is second to none. All excellent English speakers, engaging, but not pushy. We went back every night and enjoyed getting to know the staff.

Had dinner at Vivo. Our waiter Eslam Sherif was so pleasant and accommodating. Manager very hospitable. Made us a table for 2 despite no reservation. Had drinks at Bar Oro. Eslam was our server again!! Two nights in a row. So pleasant, tayght me new greetings in Arabic at my requested. Love this place!!. Love the people!!

Came here twice during my short business stay in Cairo, Bar Oro serves a plenty of drink options, I had local Gin and felt the taste pretty good, and had full relax after a long day with full meetings. The snacks provided with drinks were good and addictive, perfect companion of drinks. Mr.Mohamad delivered a very warm service and greeted me when my 2nd visit. Location of the hotel is at heart of Cario and the bar has open seats facing to the river, comfortable and chilled at night, despite there is noise from the road. A very good choice if you just finish a long visit at Egypt museum and look for a refreshment, just come.

Mohamed served the best drinks. His Summer in Cairo cocktail was a highlight along with their superb local wine collection. Highly recommend for drinks!
