We love this place and try to go there every time we visit Ocracoke. It’s a plethora of information especially the history of the community of Ocracoke which we truly appreciate and love. I love the video of Ocracoke people whose families have been there since the beginning speaking in the traditional Ocracoke language! So great…

Loved all the history! It isn't very big so when there's a lot of people it gets really hot and stuffy. We left and went back when it wasn't as crowded. They have a gift store so bring your wallet even though it's free to get in. Didn't take a lot of pictures Even though I wanted to. The information on Blackbeard was interesting. Definitely worth a trip to learn more about the island!

We made a second trip over just for this. I'm so glad we did! A great collection of history from both Ocracoke and Portsmouth island. Lovely gift shop with local music, fig preserves, books and crafts. Wonderful people that was eager to help with questions on the island. A must stop!

Small but very beautiful and detailed exposition, very friendly and helpful staff. You can find family tree of a first Ocracoke resident and a lot of other stuff. Worth a visit if you have a spare hour!

Very Informative. The history is amazing. I was amazed with everything including stuff about Blackbeard. There is also a little gift shop. I saw a Holy Bible with a lock of love inside it. It was so sweet what people did back on the day.

Small museum and gift shop located across from the ferry terminal. Lots of historical artifacts and information about the island. If you are interested in the history of Blackbeard, you may want to stop in. Awesome gift shop with quality items. Not your run of the mill tourist junk you typically see at the beach. FYI, it closes at 3 pm daily. Highly recommended.

This shop has been one of my favorites on Ocracoke for years. My mom introduced me to it and I’ve purchased many unique and quality items here over several visits. Unfortunately this trip I had a very different experience that left me disappointed. My partner and I travel with our dogs and in past visits (including earlier this year) we were welcomed when we brought our well-trained larger dog here. This visit we were told abruptly that only dogs small enough to be carried are allowed. Policies can change or be miscommunicated among different staff members and I respect that but the way this was communicated felt harsh and unwelcoming. I ended up cutting my shopping short and left on a sour note instead of the excitement I usually have here. What made this more noticeable is that it wasn’t an isolated thing. On this visit we’ve had similar experiences at several other local businesses (e.g.,staff seeming stressed, impatient, or unfriendly with polite customers). It feels different from past years. Ocracoke was one of the most relaxed and welcoming places we had ever been. I share this because I’ve always appreciated this store and the island as a whole. Ocracoke has been a special place for us but the change in the vibe lately has left us questioning whether it still feels like our vacation home

I absolutely love this place! So many magical, unique, inexpensive and expensive, joyful, hilarious, sweet, useful, & eclectic items! How anyone can’t find SOMETHING in this store is beyond me? This will always be my go to place when we visit Ocracoke. I left the store wanting to buy more! The owner, Cathy was simply a pleasure to talk to & she wrapped up all my goodies so they would be safe traveling. I’m using my original hand warmer coffee cup right now (and every day) & my son uses his Lollipop Pottery “monster” cup every day too! Simply put- just go there! You won’t be disappointed, EVER! 😊

Over the Moon is an arts and crafts gallery full of eclectic pottery, jewelry, cards, woodwork and innumerable other hand crafted items - most with a laugh out loud humorous twist. I could spend hours here!

What a great experience at Down Creek Gallery! A real eclectic collection of art work. But our eye was caught by Impressionist works by Lynn Mehta. We bought Distant Storm because of the style but also a reminder of our visit to Ocracoke. This gallery is highly recommended!

What a gem! This was one of my favorite stops on my recent trip. Beautiful artwork-photographs, pottery, blown glass, birdhouses….. The owner, Mary, was super friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area and the pieces she has in her store and the artists. Amazing place. 10/10.

Filled with beautiful paintings. One painting was particularly amazing of a very large oak tree, it's branches went on and on winding all over in a crazy mysterious way. The painting was absolutely breath taking. Establishment was clean and organized, the woman that was there was very friendly and charming. A must see place, true talent artists!

Great photography here if you're in the market to buy some. The Owner is very nice and very friendly! She even hooked us up with a map of the island on the way out.

Beautiful store with a lot of history and beautiful artwork from all over NC and even some other states. Great place to buy a unique gift while you’re vacationing! Will definitely be coming back. My dad got some Yaupon tea leaves to brew which he had been looking for and my mom got a beautiful mug. My boyfriend also ended up getting his brother a book signed by Philip Howard who owns the store and is pretty much a local historian. Awesome place! also, P.S., if you’re interested in the Ghost and History tour here, BOOK IT! It was so worth it & Amy Howard is a great storyteller. Next year I want to take the other tour (there are 2 you can choose upon arrival).

Each price of pottery were so amazing. Don't be surprised if you get in trouble like I did . Good trouble . Could not decided which I liked better so I bought both. Could have bought more. The jewelry was amazing also.

The person working was rude. It was a super cute store, pretty expensive. We found some of the same books at other places on the island for cheaper . You certainly did not get a welcome we are glad you are here vibe. Which is too bad there were 8 adults who like to buy books in our group. But we left buying very little.

This is our second time going to Okracoke Island, and this cute little bookstore is a mainstay for us every time! The owner is very personable, and gets in books that you might not find elsewhere! There’s something for everyone, and it’s really fun how she has surprising activities throughout her bookstore! I highly recommend!

Wow, Books To Be Red is an island treasure! I love books and bookstores; this was a must see and I was not disappointed. The owner was very kind and gave me some recommendations on locally inspired fiction novels. I also picked up a "Blind Date with a Book" which is a gift-wrapped book with a few handwritten hints as to what it contains. I have yet to unwrap it but I am very excited to see what it is. This should be your first stop to pick up your beach read. In addition to the large selection of books for all ages and genres, you can find gifts, pottery, children's toys and more.

Stopped in on the way to dinner. I love books. I love cozy bookstores, and this was definitely a cozy little bookstore. I would have loved to stay longer, but we were hungry after a long ferry ride and they were closed after dinner. The person behind the counter juggled the crowd well, even came out from behind the busy counter to show us exactly where the book we were looking for was located.

This is small and classy little shop with many beautiful and fun, unique items. The art and jewelry are all one of a kind and hand made. It's the perfect shop if you're looking for gifts or want to treat yourself or your home. We were on the island in August and enjoyed chatting with the owner and her cats. Super friendly and funny! Over the years I have purchased glamorous straw hats, jewelry, art, and my favorite berry bowl. Can't wait to go back!

Love this place! She has beautiful jewelry, skin care, pottery, note cards, small sweet pictures, etc. Last year I got necklaces for my daughters and the older granddaughters. I miscounted when there, and when I got in contact with them, I was easily able to get more. Also, I lost one of my favorite earrings and again, got in contact with them and she was able to get me another. Customer service is stellar! One of my favorite shops anywhere!

An amazingly talented, likable person who has a unique shop. Half of my jewelry has been purchased there. Here is the thing… NO ONE who was in Dorian wants to relive it. EVER. We don’t need to be retraumatized because someone feels the need to use us for their sadistic pleasure. We do not feel the need to smile through your lack of empathy. Truly pathetic, there was a price on an item 19.99 and a similar item for 24.99, we had 2 different people buying the items, separate transactions and they didn't honor the one price for 19.99. They completely changed the price right in front of us and said "oh it's only a sticker" So I asked if the price stickers even mattered and was told no she can do and charge what ever... Definitely not a way to run a business. I come over on the ferry just to shop here and NEVER AGAIN. I was always proud and excited to shop here and now it's pathetic.

My kids love stopping here every year. There is something for everyone, even my picky husband. The cashiers are always helpful and pleasant. From books to slides to snorkels and jewelry, Pirate's Chest is a must for us.

Probably the best place for souvenirs and beach nick nacks in Ocracoke. Biggest selections and more unique items are found here in comparisonto other souvenir shops in Ocracoke. Two story fun to walk through. Good size parking lot. Also a nice refuge from the heat.

Had the opportunity of meeting the owners this trip. Found this gem a few years back. They have such a beautiful variety of items. My favorite is the lobster rope mats and baskets. They carry such beautiful colors. Excellent customer service as well. A pleasure doing business with them!

Super cute little shop. It wasn’t very busy and the items they had were really cute. The workers were very sweet and welcoming. The store is also bigger than it looks! They have some beautiful sea glass jewelry and lots of local sellers. We thought it was such a nice little place to spend some time. They also have a kids section with lots of toys!

Cute gift shop, very clean and organized. Some of the shelves were bare but I am sure that is because we visted in October which is off season. The prices were a bit high as well.

Most of the reviews are not current and several years old. I have been in and out of this place over each time I have been to Ocracoke. I would agree that the selection was good then and you could spend some time going through everything but now not so much. There seems to be far less to look through and the prices are higher. Throughout my stay noticed traffic in and out of this establishment was much less as well. A bit worried about this.

The best $8.99 you’ll ever spend! Their mini kites had the attention of my three boys - and their dad, too! My little, teens, and husband were all having a blast with two of their easy flyers! My only regret was not buying more!

We unfortunately bought a couple of T-shirts from this shop. The man at the store ( only staff person we saw) was very rude and off putting. I come to Ocracoke frequently and will never go in this shop again. There are many pleasant shop keepers in this village. Why go to one where you are treated like you are a bother.

There are a lot of cool trinkets and shirts. The cashier seemed to be having a bad day, but I would still recommend this shop for your souvenirs.

I didn't appreciate the captain expecting everyone on the boat to go in together on travel fee😡He told us in the beginning 25$ per person ,ending up 65$ for my husband & I

I wanted to run in and get a tank top. How long could it take. As we walked in at 5:59 pm the sales associate says “you have 1 minute we close at 6”. First of all that was rude. Second of all we may have ended up spending $100 or more. I had a run in with the same man 2 years ago and haven’t been in since then. I thought I would try the store again. But NEVER again. He needs to have some training. I have been in retail management for over 40 years and have never told my associates to run off a paying customer like that. This is a nice island and we have been coming here for years and at least 3 times a year. Owner needs to get a grip on things

Rented bikes at Ride the Wind surf shop for our week at the beach. The bikes were great, easy to pedal, and we made lots of use of the front basket!! Easy to rent and easy to return. Definitely going there again next year.

We rented 2 bikes for our 5 day stay on Ocracoke. The bikes were cute, rode well, and made it easy and fun to get around the island. The staff was friendly and made renting/returning the bikes very easy.

Rented bikes and Kayaks from Ride the Wind. All equipment worked well and pick up and drop off were seamless. We saw Dolphins and Sting Rays on our kayak trip and definitely recommend doing that! Really appreciate Bob's help.

Excellent 1 hour tandem kayaking trip around the inlet and out to the beaches. Hermit crabs all over the place. Store is the best! I watch the webcam on SurfChek all the time in Western NC.

We signed up for a paddle board yoga session with Savannah and it was a great experience. Definitely the highlight of the trip. She was a great instructor and tailored the session to our skill level. She even took photos of us during the session so we could walk away with a memory of the experience. We also rented kayaks and paddle boards with Ride the Wind and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly, accommodating and provided us with great equipment. Highly recommend!!

Rented bikes for the week and they were very nice bikes, no complaints, will rent again from them next year when we're there. Nice staff as well.

Excellent sunset kayak tour. Our guide was friendly and helpful. Learned some interesting things about Ocracoke and the sound. Would definitely recommend for a great activity while in Ocracoke.

Groovy bar with outdoor seating. A cozy spot for alcoholic beverages. Nice selection of cold drinks and some stuff to take back home. Occasional wine tastings. Stemware and all the bartender essentials in one cool space. First time and they were helpful and knowledgeable. Will return.

I have been a die hard for Zillie's, especially through Dorian and always have made it a point to pour love and money on them when visiting. We came to the island for the run and took our family and friends (12 of us) to spend $ at their business. The unhinged aggressive behavior, from a women seemingly owner, in a Zillie's sweatshirt solidified that we won't be back. We are understanding of a no food policy even if we don't agree, your house : your rules. We brought pizzas and were told the kids couldn't even eat it in the yard, so we put the kids in the car to eat their pizza. But then, she approached our table and across all our group, isolated our MIL and said "your face looks like you have something to say to me" we were SHOCKED. Not only was she not even looking at this women, the confrontation was wild. She didn't stop there, she then came back and told our friend to get rid of her water bottle and made her put it under the table! We then asked for water from the bar and they said we could buy it $2. When we were leaving a friend in the group as her politely if she could speak to her in regards to the treatment of our SWEET MIL, she put a finger in her face and said ' give me a minute' and literally crawled under a bench to avoid speaking. I am NOT one to write bad reviews. We were so proud to take our people to Zillie's and now we will never be back. I spent some time reading other reviews this morning and definitely now see that this is common behavior. Kindness and grace goes so far, if this is the owner: you need to zoom out, take a breath and really think about the way you are treating people that are spending their hard earned money to support your small business. peace and blessings.

We bought the Wine Tasting tonight for $35 each. We've been to wine tastings around the world. Zillies tasting was a terrible experience. They keep the store open for all customers so you can't hear about the wines, there is hardly any place to sit during the tasting, the wine tasting is an expensive venue to sample a few wines and extremely small food parings. Not worth the money or time.

Staff was very nice, great selection of beers in the cooler. We enjoyed a pint on the covered patio with our dogs! Would visit again.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. I don’t know who “Ray” is but he was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He acted as though I was an inconvenience as a costumer. Would absolutely NOT recommend. If you’re looking for a nice place to have a beer I’d look at 1718- small brewery but super cute

Very knowledgeable and helpful. There's lots of great stuff in the shop. It is a little pricey, but that's my fault for not having what I needed before getting to the island. Regardless, you should check out all they have to offer, including their great hospitality.

Came here on 5/24. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name working but he was very helpful with questions about beach umbrellas and bait for fishing. Very friendly and took extra time to answer questions about the area. Highly recommend this store if on the island

The workers at Tradewinds were really helpful getting us set up for surf fishing & answering all of our questions. It's a one stop shop for everything you need for fishing. I caught a red drum my first day :)

This one is for all you tea lovers. Such a neat little shop, with so many hundreds if not thousands of tea flavors at amazing prices. Unique and delicious, what ever you want can be brewed for you on the spot. Tea, spices, flower petals, and tea- related gifts. Awesome atmosphere, the owner and staff are super helpful and friendly. So glad we stopped by. We will be back soon.

Went here on a day trip, it was amazing. Got the magic lemonade and the figgy gold. Great atmosphere and the drinks were amazing! The drinks have the option to add sparkles. I can’t wait to come back when I visit again.

Great place and a huge tea selection! They'll brew any tea you want there, hot or cold. Or you can buy in bulk. The Japanese Organic Green Tea was great and I bought some "Cream" & "Breathe" for later. You can even order online and have it shipped to you.

An absolutely wonderful store, more tea selections than I have ever seen! Service was really friendly and delightful, and I ordered their Spring Sakura iced tea drink and it was phenomenal.

Came in for a coffee and ordered my wife an iced almond milk latte. I was then handed a Luke warm cup of pour over coffee and told the almond milk was in the fridge next to me and that they don't do lattes. I'm sure the tea is great. I'm just exceptionally frustrated with the lack of clarity about what I ordered vs what they could provide.

I highly recommend adding Mermaid's Folly to your list of places to stop on Ocracoke. The store has been overhauled and looks awesome! They have a really nice selection of clothes, bags, hats, gifts, etc. The staff is helpful and friendly. And it's conveniently located near Silver Lake, so it's easy to walk to a bunch of other shops that are right nearby. It also has a good size parking lot, which is helpful when parking is scarce on busy days.

Such a great store! Ocracoke's Mermaid's Folly is under new management this season. It has the same wonderful vibe and spirit it's always had with quirky and fun merchandise. They even sell fresh flowers! Go Mermaids!

We stopped in late on November 24th after the lil boat parade. The Woman and Ollie we're Great! They stayed open to let My Wife and Sister In Law shop! The Hand-Made Seaglass windchimes were a hit! They wrapped them well for our Journey Home and Ollie Even offered us a Hand to the car if Needed.. Awesome little Place!

Mermaid's folly is one of my favorite shops. After the huge hurricane ripped Ocracoke year before last, I wondered what happened to it. When we went there last weekend, we saw it has been restored. It took more than a year! Lots of hard work. But as before the items there are such a pleasure to look at, and choose. All are beautiful and artistic and flowing. Great tees showing island themes, beautiful fabrics with batiks and dreamy cottons. Definitely glad they are back!

Solid shop for sunglasses on the island. Their inventory is reasonable, even including some more rare items. That said, it’s not incredibly well stocked and the service isn’t outstanding. And, you may notice that their hours fluctuate without notice, because it’s often staffed by only one person. All in all, not bad, but definitely not exceptional. Stop in if you need a new pair of shades, but keep in mind that you’re on Ocracoke and things work a bit differently on the island.

Glasses broke on day 3! I was very easy on them and wore them for about an hour over the 3 day period. I avoided going in the water, or doing physical activity because I wanted them to last, but they broke and I can’t get my money back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, the glasses are over priced for how cheap they actually are l.

Absolutely the rudest salesperson ever! Attempting to find a nonexistant price on a piece of art and we were informed that we should ask for help. Instead of coming to help, she sat there on her lazy butt. Too bad because we had been there earlier and came back to make that purchase!

Beautiful paintings, prints and cards! Mysterious mermaids, dramatic waterscapes and sunsets, Ocracoke lighthouse art and humorous ocean creatures! A must see while on the island!

One of the best coffee spots on the island. The line will be long most mornings from 8-10:30, but it moves along pretty quickly. Staff is friendly and make great drinks. In the evenings the main restaurant is closed, but there is a small side shop serving wine, hard setlzers and espresso. Take a break on the porch and enjoy your beverage on island time.

This place is extremely busy in the mornings!!! Good thing is they have 3 or 4 baristas taking care of patrons. Drip coffee is extremely hot. I would recommend asking for a few ice cubes. In addition their breakfast items that you would normally find heated up are not. For instance, we had bacon and cheese croissants but they served them cold. That was weird. They would’ve been better heated up. We ate them at the outside picnic tables with our dog friends that we met on the island. We also went back later in the day for smoothies. Less crowds, excellent smoothies and the girls behind the counter are very sweet! They just don’t like Benson Boone unless Joelle is working 😂

lemon poppyseed muffin is the way to go! the chai smoothie was good, but i didn’t really see why a chai should be a smoothie. the whipped cream also didn’t pair too well, which you have the option to add at an extra charge. unfortunately, the chocolate puff pastry sounded much more exciting than it tasted. it didn’t have much flavor and the texture also threw me off. lastly, make sure you use your time in line to read over the ordering instructions! because of how busy they are, they’re particular about the procedure of things. overall, a fun stop on the tram to check out!

The charming island Atmosphere was great, plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. The coffee is really good and decently priced. The coffee shop food was just that. Good, not great and way overpriced. To add capers to a bagel with lox was an additional $2.30…..last but certainly not least….the staff. Awful. Tell me you don’t want to be somewhere without telling me you don’t want to be somewhere. We came multiple mornings in a row. Crazy how that alone changes the ENTIRE experience. And the rules?!?!..:…:printed too small on a bar, 20’ from menu and checkout. If there was another coffee shop on the island…go there instead.

We came here during our day trip to Ocracoke. We seen many great things about the shop on social media and we wanted to give it a try. While the baked goods were good, they were most definitely overpriced. The staff were NOT friendly and offered no help with ordering or when questions were asked about menu items. The atmosphere was decent. The shop for sure had potential, however, the rude staff helped me make my decision with not returning to this coffee shop. The menu board was extremely small and prices for some items were not listed correctly. The smoothies were very pricey and tasteless….. $8.49 for a smoothie that wasn’t drinkable is insane. For one large coffee, one smoothie, a cookie, a braided pastry, and a scone that was labeled as cinnamon apple and ended up being something completely different I paid $40. Overpriced and overhyped. Wouldn’t return.

I love this coffee shop and it’s a must-go when visiting Ocracoke. If you are visiting during summer, there is likely to be a waiting line but don’t get discouraged because it moves pretty quickly. We had the quad shot cappuccino, a lemonade smoothie and a chai latte along with the cranberry orange coffee cake and a donut. All delicious! I highly recommend this place for the vibe, the location, the food and the drinks.

We have been going to the ocracoke coffee co for many years. We love the laid back relaxed atmosphere , the coffee is delicious . Generally we have always been treated with kindness and respect. This year (June and September 2025) the service has been lacking. I bought merchandise. I took my $100 of overpriced merchandise to the checkout and the person would not even acknowledge me, after waiting on multiple people ordering coffee, he said how many do you have, I don’t have a bag for those . I patiently replied that if I did not follow procedure I’d be more than happy to wait in the coffee ordering line. I explained that a few days prior I had been in and purchased merchandise and after waiting in a long line was told it was not necessary. The persons reply was it’s dependent on his mood and staff. Honestly I’ll be hard pressed to ever return ! My earnings and time are too precious to be treated as such.

Great food at good prices! Baked on-site pastries, fudge, wonderful shrimp salad, breakfast food. We've paid much more for sit-down restaurant meals, which we enjoyed less. Outdoor table seating.

We got a country ham sweet potato biscuit and a bacon egg cheese bagel. They were delicious! We also got two bagels to go for sunrise next morning and they were still fresh tasting and scrumptious.

Delicious ice cream. My daughter got sweet treats and the disappeared fast! The staff were so kind and patient with the long line waiting for their treats.

i have so much to talk about sweet tooth/fig tree but unfortunately i have no pictures of the things i ate there because im always so excited for it and never remember! this is my second year going to ocracoke and sweet tooth is what makes me excited about going there! lol! breakfast is great, coffee is good and fast and ~now for the most important part~ the sweets are close to perfection. a list of sweets from the absolutely best to the just best: triple chocolate cheesecake, triple chocolate cake, big chocolate cake (the ultimate matilda cake but not overly sweet just the right amount of everything) all fudges (we always buy pounds of it and freeze it) a few other cheesecakes, white chocolate macadamia cookies, brownies! in short: just go for it!

My only complaint is I didn’t find this place sooner in our vacation! Amazing breakfast sandwiches and friendly staff. Highly recommended. We will be back for years s to come!!

They do a great job trying to have a little bit of everything available. Great place to make a quick stop for what you need. Definitely more expensive for the sake of convenience. If you're visiting the island you might want to stock up before arriving. Still, they are well-stocked and friendly and will have what you need

There isn't a Walmart or a Food Lion on Ocracoke. If you're looking to fill your kitchen after you've arrived, you're here at the Ocracoke Variety Store. And they do have everything. A bunker of fish and meats, deli, commercial bakery, dry and canned goods, dairy and cheeses, beer and wine. (By state law, liquor can only be sold by a state ABC store.) I picked up some snacks and a tin of beer so that I could enjoy dinner at the campground. The price isn't as cheap as it would be on the mainland but they do have higher costs. The young lady who rang up my sale was polite and didn't seem to mind helping.

An excellent local grocery store. Surprising selection for such a small store with very reasonable prices on most items, despite the distance most of those items have to travel to get here.

There are always fun and interesting things to find in an art gallery at the beach. This place is no exception. Check out all they have to offer. Make sure you verify their hours of operation before you go or simply drop in when you see that they are open.

Although it wasn’t what we expected and was bigger and busier than we anticipated, it was really nice. It has EVERYTHING and lovely beaches as well. Worth a trip, though perhaps not at its busiest in summer.

The ferry ride is truly an experience. If you plan to catch a specific time, go earlier. The drive is neat. Buxton is neat. Lots of cyclists. Go when the weather is fair to avoid flooding and such.

One of my favorite local getaway places for a few days. The ferry ride from Hatteras is an adventure and great way to view the inlet.

In my opinion, it is the jewel of the OBX. Amazing history, great people, beautiful beaches, spectacular sunsets, great food spots (Looking at you, Howard's Pub). Been going to the island for so years. Will go for the next 50.

What an experience! Nice beaches, not crowded. So much fun camping, driving on the beach and looking for shells. Some much history, and all the locals were so nice.

I have been to Ocracoke for vacation several times. My wife and I absolutely love this little piece of paradise. The beaches go on for what seems like forever. The water is very warm. Great little shops and places to eat. The fresh seafood is amazing. Very scenic and great for pictures. The trail to Teach's Hole is a nice little walk through a wooded area only to open up to a wonderful little area on the sound side. Also the boat tour to Portsmouth is awesome. Portsmouth is very remote and great for shelling. Just make sure to take the bug spray. All in all awesome place to be. I will be going again in the future. 8/2020: Back to this beautiful island again for another year. Wow we were worried about the island following hurricane Dorian and then another punch of trouble due to COVID. But this is such an amazing place with great people who will not let this island stay down. I truly do enjoy everything this island has to offer. It is an extra trek sound from the famous OBX but Ocracoke ranks much higher to me. See some amazing pictures.

Have been renting from Ocracoke Island Golf Carts for years! Sometimes multiple times a year. Always very responsive when called by phone or stopping by the shop. Every time our cart is in great shape and delivered when promised. They run the cords to easily get you charging for you on delivery. We even get a car seat from them as well, and the car seats are in great shape, not all funky and mildewy. Will ALWAYS rent from Ocracoke Island Golf Carts when on the island.

OI Golf Carts are the best! These guys are super friendly and helpful! They'll have your cart ready for you at your rental when you arrive and will pick it up after you leave. Best service on the island!

We rent through Ocracoke Island Golf Carts every year when we come down for our family vacation. They are very easy to book with and the cart is always delivered before we get to our house and then picked up after we leave. We love having a golf cart on the island to be able to easily bop around and the kids love the golf cart rides in the mornings and evenings.

I’ve been renting golf carts from this company for 10+ years. I’ve been consistently happy. The golf carts are always waiting for us at our house. A couple of times over the years, we’ve had minor issues, but they came out and fixed the problem quickly. Everyone is always nice and courteous. Thank you, Ocracoke Island Golf Carts!

Printed the golf cart here just for the day. Golf cart was in great condition and the process was simple, fast and easy and the price was reasonable. Really nice being able to roam the island on one of these things.

Can't say enough about this business. We come down every year for a week or two consecutive weeks and rent two golf carts. I always recommend calling sometime before your trip to make reservations as it gets very busy. They take the reservation and will drop off your carts at your rental and will pick them up at your rental after you leave. It's a breeze! Last year we actually got a flat tire for the first time. We gave them a call and they had someone over to it and the tire changed in about 15 minutes. Can't ask for better service.

Thank you for the outstanding work you all do! We try to support local everywhere we go because it is so important. We all need to support local fisherman for the work they do and the outstanding fresh food they provide. We had fresh fish and steamed shrimp. Thank you again!

Absolutely terrific seafood shop. Been coming to Ocracoke for nearly my whole life. This place has the best local seafood. Always fresh and supports local fishermen. Great customer service too! I'd give more stars if I could.

Small town, caught fresh every day fish! We ate fresh seafood every night of my family's yearly vacation to Ocracoke Isl, NC. During the beautiful days at the beach we plan what we want to make for dinner and on our way home stop by the Ocracoke Seafood Co. for the catch of the day. Clams for appetizers and fresh fish for dinner every night! The ladies that work there are charming and helpful. They always make us feel welcome. We will never go anywhere else for fresh seafood.

Main reason we go to ocracoke is the local seafood. Can't do better then here. Everyone there can help you with what to do, where to get it yourself, or just the best way to cook it. Can't ask for more.

My family has visited Brooke's shop every year since they opened. We always find some treasured trinkets, my 2 boys usually picking out special stones to cherish. I absolutely adore my tiny cauldron of geometric stones I bought our first visit, which have been a ritual of mine for years now. I highly recommend indulging in a sound bath. Brooke is a master of the craft and will make your soul float. 🩵

What an incredible little shop. So thoughtfully curated- the owners know the maker and/or story behind each handcrafted item that they carry. Crystals, tarot and oracle decks, thoughtful conversation cards, hand-bound journals, locally crafted skincare, essential oil candles and so much more- it’s a wonderful place to find a treat for yourself or a loved one. It’s a must on any Ocracoke visit.

My partner and I went into this shop on a whim and it was SO cute. The store owner, Brooke was so kind and wonderful. Picked up a few house sticks when we were there earlier in the year and finally had a chance to light one up. Definitely a great stick and makes a nice souvenir stick for the humidor - definitely plan to restock.

Tom is a great host and extremely knowledgeable. Good selection of cigars, but look no further than his in house, you won't be disappointed! Hunter is very welcoming upon arrival every time!

Great little shop. Walked in during a thunderstorm for a guys outing to get some cigars. Tom helped us each pick a good one for our individual tastes and then we proceeded to smoke and chat while the storm blew back out to sea. Highly recommend if you are on the island.

Literally the only Cigar Lounge in all of the Outer Banks. Great little cigar shop and lounge. Great selection of cigars and literally some of the best house blends ive ever had. This is a must stop for incredible relaxtion and cigar smoking experience. Best hidden gem shop Ive ever visted on the east coast. Tom the owner is a great guy and very welcoming and knowledgeable.

The best cigars on the whole sandbar. Just a little shop but that’s all you need. Usually buy our stock up when we come down for vacation. No where else on the Outer Banks I would buy a cigar from!

I came looking to purchase pirate artifacts and found them, but unfortunately they weren’t for sale. He’s got some plates that match the same set found at what is believed to be the shipwreck of the Queen Anne’s Revenge. I left with a knife that belonged to Hoi Toider island royalty and a snake sculpture. Followed this up with a trip to Springers point & Teach’s hole. Charming shop and I’m confident the owner has more valuables than what you see displayed.

I'm not sure if the owner was having a bad day or what, but he wasn't nice to us. We were browsing and my girlfriend tried to engage with him and tell him his reviews online were great.. He went into a rant about how people come in and look around, but don't buy anything." Just like we're doing and if we can't find anything we're not looking hard enough." It felt like a guilt trip. I know what I found, a grumpy curmudgeon who needs a hug. I hope he cheers up in the near future.

We were lucky enough to stumble across this place while on a bike ride. We met Chester who was a wealth of knowledge on the history of Ocracoke. He told us so many amazing stories and showed us so many incredible artifacts…many from Blackbeard’s time! It was our favorite place that we visited on the island. Thank you Chester!

Interesting little antique store hidden on the back road. The owner is a true Ocracoker. It's in his house, which is different but it's a good store. We found an old potato masher. His family had been on Ocracoke since Blackbeards days. He told us about the devastating damage done to the island from Hurricane Dorian. I'm glad we found this place.
