Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Dakota Zoo, situated in Sertoma Park on the east bank of the Missouri River, is North Dakota's largest zoo. It spans 90 acres and is home to over 600 animals representing 125 species. The zoo offers a diverse range of wildlife including tigers, grizzlies, and a large grazing animal area.
I haven't been here in a couple of years. Everything has been improved! The otter exhibit was expanded so you can see them swimming in better space. They added 4 great horned owls and a snowy owl. I noticed the zookeepers were taking good care of the animals. The zoo itself is very relaxing & a good place to escape for the day!
A R — Google review
The Dakota Zoo is an absolute gem! The diversity of animals is incredible, from majestic big cats and playful bears to exotic birds and reptiles, there’s something fascinating to see at every turn. The grounds are well-kept and easy to navigate, making it a pleasant experience for visitors of all ages. The concessions are great, offering fresh, tasty options at reasonable prices, perfect for a quick snack or lunch break. The highlight for my family was the train ride, which gives a relaxing, scenic tour of the zoo and lets you see the animals from a unique perspective. A fantastic place to spend the day, we’ll definitely be back!
Chase D — Google review
It was one of the best zoos I have been too. Plenty of space for the animals to roam, healthy animals. Well laid out. I would recommend it too anyone. Gift shop was nice too.
Marilyn K — Google review
Zoo was clean, trains sparkled. Enjoyed the train ride as it was hot out. The animals weren't active at the time of the day, but saw a few. Loved the floral gardens and fountains.
Sheila H — Google review
Overall the zoo was nice, but some animals like the badgers seem very stressed. It and the bears, wolf paced around in circles constantly. Amazing to have been able to see bald eagles, alligators. The petting zoo is a nice touch to be able to interact with animals. I understand the zoo is in development still, so I look forward to conditions improving.
Sharon — Google review
It was $30 for two of us and $6 popcorn. Every type of animal you would want to see and up close. The penguin exhibit is new and excellent. Lions and tigers and bears oh my. Get ready to walk a lot or you can opt in for the trolley train service where you can ride for free and visit the entire Zoo in Comfort. This Bismarck zoo and the Wahpeton Chahinkapa zoo best in North Dakota.
Peter E — Google review
So we explored the Bismarck Zoo today. Now, it’s no African savanna—but oh boy, it’s absolutely worth the visit. The grizzly bears alone are like furry tanks with teeth, casually lumbering around as if they own the place… which, to be fair, they probably do.
David F — Google review
It's a very nice zoo. I was very surprised. My girlfriend and I enjoyed.

The North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum is a treasure trove of history and culture located in Bismarck. This impressive museum invites visitors to explore the rich tapestry of North Dakota's past, showcasing exhibits that span from ancient geological formations to the vibrant cultures of early inhabitants. With its extensive collection of artifacts, specimens, and cutting-edge displays, it provides an engaging experience for all ages.
Had a great experience at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum. It’s one of the few free museums around, and it’s definitely worth a visit—whether you’re going solo, with friends, or with family. The lady at the front was incredibly helpful, and we were able to explore everything before our flight home. There’s plenty of parking, it’s in a great location, and while admission is free, they do accept donations. A worthwhile stop if you're in the area.
Seth I — Google review
This is an amazing museum that chronicles the rich history of North Dakota from the time that dinosaurs roamed the earth until the current time. There is an incredible volunteer staff that is friendly and helpful. Admission is free but donations are accepted and appreciated.
Bill L — Google review
Very education with a large breadth of topics. Provided (new to me) context on conditions and life styles of native Americans in the region and their effects on America as a whole. Loved seeing the training equipment of the missile launch. Lots of great fossils, well preserved dinosaur mummy, and rare fossils. Context and comparisons between different sized animals of the same family also provided a perspective I enjoyed.
Sharon — Google review
It's a wonderful museum. There are lots of different rooms about North Dakota. A fun "treehouse" for kids.
Jessica G — Google review
The North Dakota Heritage Center is a phenomenal state museum in the heart of Bismark near the state capital. The building itself is very open and modern, with spacious halls throughout. Admission is free (although donations are accepted). We visited all three permanent galleries, which covered prehistoric times, early peoples, and the more modern state history. The exhibits are well thought out, with just the right amount of interpretive materials. We especially enjoyed the prehistoric gallery with the dinosaur fossils and prehistoric timeline. There is plenty of parking in two large parking lots located next to the NDHC. We also had a light lunch on site in the El Coqui cafe (wonderful soup and sandwiches) before exploring the gift shop. The NDHC is located near the capital building , making it easy to spend a day on site.
Dawn J — Google review
This museum is a great place to visit and learn more about NOrth Dakota history. The tree house is always a hit with my kids, we enjoy visiting on the weekends.
Ifrah F — Google review
Amazing! I had fun and lots of interactive areas for you to read and see! support and donate and leave a good word so they can expand on this! LOVED THE DINOSAUR AREA! I read every single thing!
Chico — Google review
An impressive museum that brings together history, culture, and nature all in one place. The exhibits are beautifully organized—from dinosaur fossils to Native artifacts and key moments in the state’s history. Everything is well maintained, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Admission is free, which makes it even better. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Bismarck!

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Raging Rivers Waterpark, located in Mandan, North Dakota, is a summer park offering a variety of attractions such as pools, tube slides, and a lazy river. This family-friendly destination is owned and operated by the Mandan Park District and has been providing affordable fun since 2009. The park features numerous water rides including the thrilling Speed Slides and an aqua play area for little ones.
The lazy river is great! Also the slides are pretty cool, the big slides are a rush if you are into that kind of excitement 😁 nice little concession stand and locker rooms for valuables. Great place to enjoy your summer days off.
Chelsea G — Google review
We went in after 4pm so it's a discounted price. It wasn't over crowded, the lazy river was fun the wait line for tubes for the slides wasn't a long wait and hardly any wait at all for the 2 taller tube free slides. The little kids section was closed down early due to contamination that was the only bummer as my kiddo wanted to go play there again but couldn't, other than that we look forward to coming back!
Brandee B — Google review
We were having fun until three kids, maybe 12 years old, kept swimming underneath one of my friends in the lazy river and rubbing against her. When she told them to stop, they splashed her and pushed her away. There was a lifeguard right there not doing anything. I got a bit angry and yelled, "Come on, now!" at them. They left us alone after that. No idea where their parents were or why the lifeguard wasn't doing anything. Really ruined the fun. Parents need to watch their kids better, and lifeguards should have stepped in.
Clinicalia ( — Google review
Staff is always amazing and nice but i have to write this post to say they did amazing today with the quick respond , my child ended up missing/lost I went to a life guard who got on radio and also informed me to go to the first aid door i believe it was called. I ran over there told them that I can't find my child they saw I was in full mama bear scared mode, they jump right into action secured the gate so nobody could go out but just as they did that I finally spotted my child. I told them I see her I see her , she is here, thank you and sorry. But I just wish I had cash on me because I would have gave them some money as a thank because if you guys would have seen how fast and WELL they handled that situation. From being on their hand radio from when I first told the life guard to how fast they secure that place down. If you ever wondered how they would handle a situation like that now you know.
Meghan — Google review
The lifeguards would not be able to help myself or my husband from drowning or getting us out of the pool. Half of the lifeguards were high schoolers from the looks of it. I had zero faith in the healing me if I would need any help. But it was a great time, music, food and overall experience was good.
Sara D — Google review
The big slide here are great. But I was not impressed with their rules that kids under 48 inches tall can't go down them with an adult. Every other water park I've been too has these rules.
Brian S — Google review
We came from out of state and spent the day at the Waterpark. It was a fun time. And the price is actually amazing for e erything that you can do at park. Reasons for only 4 stars.. Considered 3 because sanitary n cleanliness is really important to me.. The bathroom stinks and was dirty. Wear SANDALS! It doesn't seem to have gotten a deep clean in a long time. It stinks like pee in the wonens bathroom and there was blood in about 4 of the stalls. And if the womens restroom was stinky, I'd hate to go in the men's. Lifeguards were not friendly either. I get they are young and wanting to look tough n cute but being pretty much the only staff you could interact with, they all seemed angry. Other than that.. based on Fun and atmosphere this place would get 5 stars. We had fun, and really enjoyed ourselves.. I'd recommend it, after all you don't spend all your time in the bathrooms and don't have to interact with the lifeguards.. just my observations 😉

Had a great time... wish there was more covered areas. Alot of them said reserved but no one was sitting in them at all.

Gateway to Science in North Dakota is a state-of-the-art science center that offers interactive exhibits, programs, and special events for visitors of all ages. The museum aims to inspire an interest in science and technology through its over 90 hands-on exhibits covering topics such as electricity, robotics, nanotechnology, weather, space, and even a real human brain specimen. Located in Bismarck, the museum provides educational and experimental experiences for families and children throughout the year.
My kids love visiting here! There's something for each of them (8, 6, and 4), and they keep wanting to come back for more. Make sure you have plenty of time to spend here, the variety of exhibits and activities available keep kids excited and engaged!
Liz K — Google review
My kids (2 & 4) and myself love gateway to science! The water table is their favorite and they also like the area that's blocked off for smaller children. They could easily spend hours here! Here are my gripes after visiting a few times. I'm not sure why there is such a strict limit on having/food drink around. It is a pain to try to drag my kids back to the lobby to get a drink or a snack. Also it is expensive! $9 for a child + adult fee means we can't visit as often as we'd like.
Jessica M — Google review
Gonna be honest, I didn't think I would enjoy this place, especially since it's only one floor. But don't let that fool you—this place is truly awesome! As a parent with children of various ages, I can confidently say that everyone loved the interactive displays and everything else it has to offer. I cannot praise it enough; we had such a great time and absolutely will be coming back. It exceeded all our expectations and proves that fun and learning can happen in a compact space. Highly recommend for families looking for an engaging and enjoyable outing.
JOSH K — Google review
We LOVE Gateway to Science ND! Our experience at their summer camp truly exceeded our expectations. The staff is exceptional—always friendly and eager to help. A memorable highlight for us was during Shark Week, when our child had the opportunity to dissect a real shark. The camp is managed with outstanding professionalism and is well-kept. We highly recommend this place, whether you're visiting or participating in their summer camps!
Lydia — Google review
My kids spent hours here and i still had to drag them away! Our family has been to a lot of science and museum places but i have never seen a lot of the items they have here. My 10 year old loved the circuits and my 5 year old loved the working robotic arm. I myself loved the Brian teasers. We all had a ton of fun!
Cassady R — Google review
An excellent place for children to learn, explore, and play. Plenty of exhibits and experiences for all ages. Will definitely be visiting again when my son is old enough to appreciate all the activities.
Chase D — Google review
Amazing place to take your kids. Everything was very clean and staff was nice. My son had a blast running around playing with everything! We will definitely come back many more times.
Justin T — Google review
Defintely a great addition to our community, much needed! This science center is a great experience for all ages. There are several areas with different types of learning, and you could really spend some time there, taking everything in. One of the best parts of Gateway to Science though, is the VIEW of the river! 😍

Located in Sertoma Park, Bismarck, North Dakota, Super Slide Amusement Park is a family-friendly attraction offering a wide range of activities. Since 1967, it has been entertaining families and kids with its giant slide, Ferris wheel, go-karts, bumper cars, mini-golf, batting cages and more. The park is open from May to mid-September and provides quality entertainment for visitors of all ages.
We stopped here on our way through ND on our way to Glacier National Park. It was a fantastic stop to get out and stretch our legs and have some laughs! This park is super cute with friendly staff. We got to ride the ONLY roller coaster in ND while we were there. Worth a stop and visit when you are in the Bismarck area.
Michelle S — Google review
The park itself is great for kids to play. But the staff( the females) are trash. They are not willing to help, they do not want to help the kids to buckle their belts, they just stood there staring. One of the ladies there was very disrespectful, unkind, racist, she had the nerve to throw money at me, I purchased ticket for $10, I gave her $100 she gave me $54 back I told her she miscounted the money then then she gave me $90.20. I said let me give you the exact change you can give me a dollar back, she grabbed the changes outta my hand and threw the dollar at me. I within seconds asked her to keep the to kets and give me back my hundred that I am leaving because she did have no right to be this rude towards me. She refused to give me back my money, I asked her to call a manager, she called her friend who was trying to tell me what she thought about a situation that she was not even there to witness. I walked away left the money and tickets on the counter for them. The police was called and the cops were able to get the money from them. I will not be back to this place because of bad customer service.
Sauvelyne F — Google review
June 21 2025 // 6.30 ish. In the bounce castle the staff girl wearing pink shirt, a tiny black short that could pass as underwear, and long black hair cut my kids time in half before timer went off, this was our third round so we KNOW how long each turn lasts; she told my kids to get out while leaving another kid that jumped in while no one noticed because she was too distracted on her phone instead of paying attention and didn’t even see that kid kicking my daughter. Then had the audacity to talk back at me when I called her out. Great that you give teenagers a summer job, but maybe have some senior staff watching over the teen staff. Everyone else from staff we dealt with was very nice.
Regina P — Google review
The amusement park has had some good upgrades since I have last been here a few years ago. The mini golf and basketball are fun and worth the money but the staff are not good. On the website it says they are open until 10, and that they stop selling tickets 30 minutes before close. They had closed the ticket door while we were still standing in front of the door deciding on tickets at 9:20. As we left, they started shutting down rides and deflating the bounce house even while there were several people still left in the park and with plenty of time to ride before close. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. There is no reason that tickets should have been closed 10 minutes early (with people right in front in line!) and rides closed 40 minutes early. They also had the gate we came in locked already so we had to go the long way around to leave. I don’t recommend going until they get better staff. You don’t get to close and kick people out early!
Kylie B — Google review
I’m local to Bismarck. Every year, we make it a priority to go as a family. It’s one of those places that doesn’t change, so the memories stay. A very nostalgic place to go for the locals. The slide there has been opened since 1967, so even the old timers have memories here. Today, we played mini golf, and did a few rides. We ended on the ferris wheel. The gentleman running the wheel was awesome! He made sure everyone had a fun time! From cracking jokes and making everyone laugh, it made for a great time! So, a HUGE shout out to Sam! If you ever go, request for Sam to run the wheel!
Ayden S — Google review
No lines to wait in, plenty for our 8 year old to enjoy... most of the attendants were friendly, but some stood in a group on their phones and seemed annoyed when we were wanting to ride things. Also wish the height limit was not so minimal for Go-Karts, but the bumper cars made up for it! It was nice to poke around and do something my mother in law used to do with my husband as a kid. Core memories!
Crystal M — Google review
Could this place use some fresh paint? Yes. Could some of the rides be updated? Yes. Do they need to be for the hour and a half that my toddler enjoys this park? No. What I love about this park is its general easiness. No one is waiting long in line, the park isn't so big that you lose sight of your child, the workers all seem at ease, lots of shade underneath beautiful trees, everything is clean, and there are plenty of places to take a seat and relax as your child runs hither and thither between carousels, bounce houses, swings, and tea cups. I have fond memories of this place playing wacky basketball and cheating at mini golf, and I feel lucky that I get to share it with my kids.
Lisa G — Google review
What I expected for a family fun park. We wished there were enough workers to cover all the rides. Some wait times were really month for the little kids rides. Batting cages were pretty outdated. Overall fun and fair prices.

The North Dakota State Capitol, also known as the Skyscraper on the Prairie, is a prominent feature in Bismarck's landscape. This impressive 21-story Art Deco building stands proudly at the heart of the city and offers visitors a unique blend of history, modern governance, and future aspirations. The capitol complex includes administrative facilities such as the highway building, Liberty Memorial building, Heritage Center, and Veterans Memorial within its charming park setting.
North Dakota State Capitol is very nice and unique from the other state capitols with its own unique design. It’s really nice clean interior with monumental architecture and art work on the walls. The outside of the building is nice as well.
Mensah I — Google review
Tours can be self guided or with a guide. Beautiful grounds around the building itself and the interior is amazing. The tour takes you through the major parts of the building, such as where the Legislature meets as well the Supreme Court. The tour ends on the 18th floor which has incredible views for up to 30 miles on a clear day. Well worth the visit!
Bill L — Google review
We joined in on an afternoon tour of the state capital with a small group. Although you can do a self guided tour of select parts of the building, the tour guide took us to several areas that were normally closed off, including the "monkey room" and the state supreme court room. The tour ended at the top floor, where we could look out and see for about 30 miles in any direction. Our tour guide was fantastic, and we appreciated the extra stories she added to the tour. We recommend taking a tour of the state capital after spending the morning at the North Dakota Heritage Center. The two together made a great day in downtown Bismarck.
Dawn J — Google review
Beautiful state capital building and the best example of art deco design I’ve seen. Immaculately maintained. Great bathrooms. Energetic and lively tour guides plan on taking at least an hour. The top floor observation deck is a fun way to see Bismarck and surroundings

The guided tour highlighted the different materials used to build the current capital. This building is one of four state capitals the are basically a high rise office building.
Terry H — Google review
Amazing! Free tour of the Capitol and really impressive art. Deco architecture and history. Great tour guide and camp beat views.
Jeff N — Google review
One of the more bland state capitol buildings out there. It's similar to Florida and Louisiana with the fact that it's just a soulless gray rectangle. It's really not worth stopping for unless your goal is to eventually visit all 50 Capitol buildings

Not open for tours on Saturday afternoons during summertime as advertised everywhere. Public entrance is locked at 1:45pm on Saturday, June 14th, despite claiming to offer a 2pm tour. Very disappointing, as I drove from over 6 hours away and planned my weekend around this.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, located in Mandan, North Dakota, is a historical site that offers a glimpse into both military and early Native American history. The park features reconstructed structures such as General Custer's Victorian-style house and the On-A-Slant Indian Village with six Earthlodges representing the original Mandan people. Visitors can take guided tours of these historical sites to learn about their significance.
Make sure to take the tour of Custer’s home and the Indian village. It was $8.00 per adult. Both were excellent and very informative. Also have the tour guide at the Custer house show you where he and his troops went to travel to Little Bighorn. Drive to the top of the hill to see the blockhouses and scenic view of Bismarck and the Missouri River.

Loved the Custer House and the barracks we were able to tour and walk through. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! Also went up to the infantry post and walked around which was awesome! Highly recommended.
Markki L — Google review
Absolutely a perfect place to stay. The gentleman at the gate was extremely pleasant. The grounds are lovely. Very quiet and relaxing stay. We enjoyed walking along the well manicured walkway along the river with our pups. Although we didn't use the bathhouse, it was very clean. I would definitely come back if on the area again.
Jill D — Google review
So much history in the area, from the Mandan native Americans, to Lewis and Clark expedition and Gen Custer's fortress the park is named after. Great camping along the Missouri and Heart rivers, one of the best in ND!
Scott T — Google review
Lots of cool history. The Indian village was pretty cool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park rangers are very knowledgeable
Chris K — Google review
Nice place, interesting facts, love the Indian place. Wish they would have posted that custers home was locked to save us the long walk.
Tracey B — Google review
We came for the convenient campground but enjoyed the park as well. Interesting trails around an historic Mandan village and historic frontier fort. The campground is very nice, grassy and level, right on the river with nice big cottonwood trees, but campsites are pretty close together, not private. Sites labeled “modern” on their map have water and electric (50, 30, 20 amp) and a picnic table & fire ring. Sites labeled “primitive” have picnic tables & fire rings. There is a central “comfort station” with flush toilets and showers, very decent. And there are additional pit toilets and another bathroom with flush toilets. It’s a nice enough campground, good place to stop over, but not our kind of place to stay for an extended time. Too close to civilization rather than out in nature, and sites not at all private. All the sites have permanent “reserved” signs on them without dates, so you don’t know without going online if a site is open. There are no first come first serve sites, everything must be reserved online. The numbers on the sites are a little wonky as they can only be read in one direction but the roads are not one way, so you may be driving in a way you can’t see the numbers. Double sites have 2 numbers, but only one shows on the website - these sites cost more. Just sort of a wonky system that could be improved.
Amanda M — Google review
We had a wonderful Trip to Fort Abraham Lincoln Park. Our family invited us to visit this place. Nature, silence, marvellous view over the beautiful country and the Missouri River. And we had the best guide for this Tour. His name is Del and he gave us many many Informations about the places there. Big hug for Del. And thanks to have the possibility to be guest in your Park.

Nestled along the Missouri River, Keelboat Park is a serene green space offering a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. As part of the Missouri Valley Legacy Center, it provides insights into the area's history and river transportation. Visitors can explore walking trails, admire outdoor sculptures like the Thunderbird created by college students, and marvel at a full-scale replica keelboat reminiscent of Lewis and Clark's era.
Nice lil boat ride for a cool date night. We went to the 8 pm Sunday ride so we just had drinks available but apparently they do a variety of things on different days and hours. Go early if you want to get seats on the top to enjoy that fresh air. We got to sit on the bottom but it was still really nice by the windows enjoying that view while having a couple beers. We'll definitely go earlier next time hopefully to their pizza hours.

Very nice park located near the Lewis and Clark Riverboat Cruise boarding point. The keelboat replica looks like a fun and interactive experience for kids. I loved the Thunderbird statue with the four faces. Each includes a descriptive plaque linking the Thunderbird to different native American cultures and stories.

From a spacial analysis, reverse engineering perspective, I can tell you that the stones were formerly the heads of a serpent dragon creature that used to be on the bottom of the sea, but would surface to breath. They all died at the same time and floated to the top and started to decay. Because of Diborane, their heads blew off as the oxygen ignited the Diborane. A week or so later, the Fluorine reached the surface and tired them to stone.

Checked it out while I was in town. It was dreary day but we Enjoyed the information and the walk. The Thunderbird statue has broken parts and the doors on the ships are screwed shut. Bathrooms were all closed (winter hours) but it was fun. This whole area is worth a visit.

Pretty cool park during either day or night. During the day it's a nice walk by the shore, while during the night it becomes a small swarm of teenagers listening to loud music and (kinda?) partying while driving caressly around the parking lot. In any case, it has some good facilities and nice sculptures around.

The Lewis and Clark Riverboat, a 150-passenger paddlewheeler, offers a variety of scenic cruises along the Missouri River from mid-June through Labor Day. These include dinner cruises, moonlight cruises, pizza cruises, taco bar cruise, BBQ picnic cruise and family cruises. Charters and special group rates are available from April through October.
An absolutely wonderful, relaxing experience. I have not gone on the L&C Riverboat for years. It was fun re-experiencing it! A friend and I did the Sunday evening BBQ cruise. I highly recommend! The crew and staff were top notch! Beautiful scenery gliding along a very calm, historic Missouri River. Five stars for this well planned venue, isn't enough! If you've never taken in this experience, you need to! 8/17/25.

Slow down. Let the breeze surround you as you gently float on the Missouri. We needed a night to forget about the hassles of the world and this was the perfect thing to do on a beautiful summer evening. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The captain was too, taking this photo of me and my best friend. The food was comfort and down home. The only suggestion I have is to offer premium wines. The Chardonnay was just okay, and we would’ve paid for a better label. Final tip: you’ll walk right by the 2 seats located at the front of the boat ahead of the captain’s cabin. Find them. It was the best seat in the house! All in all, this activity would be a treat for anyone visiting or living in Bismarck

We went on the brunch Riverboat cruise and it was wonderful!! The food was hot and delicious with plenty of choices. The only drink provided with the meal was coffee. However, you could purchase water, soft drinks, smoothie, etc. The ride lasted around 90 minutes. The boat cruised slow enough to enjoy the meal, visit, and views. We enjoyed the cruise and recommend.

Sunset tour was so beautiful would definitely recommend! Boat was clean staff was very friendly!
Heather M — Google review
The staff, including the Captain, were very friendly and welcoming. The boat itself was nice, boarding was simple, and the 1.5-hour ride was a good length. There were also plenty of snacks and goodies available for purchase, which was a plus. That said, I was hoping for more of a historical tour, but the narration was difficult to hear over the crowd and didn’t add much. The atmosphere leaned more toward a “booze cruise,” especially on the upper deck where the smell of alcohol was very strong. It felt a bit uncomfortable with so many adults drinking around kids. Seating is first-come, first-served, so plan to arrive early. If you’re looking for a relaxed ride on the river and don’t mind the party vibe, this can be a nice trip. But if you’re hoping for a narrated historical tour, this may not be the right fit.

I really enjoyed the leisurely Monday Happy Hour cruise. The only negative was having to smell the bbq dinner waiting to be loaded for the following dinner cruise - smelled heavenly!

We took a Monday afternoon cruise on the Lewis and Clark River boat. The cruise was very relaxing and well worth our time. Especially since the Monday afternoon sailing was half price. The weather was perfect, and the food and beverages available on the boat were very reasonably priced. There is plenty of parking in the large lot under the bridge near the Huckleberry House restaurant. You will also need to check in about 1/2 hour early at the restaurant. Make sure to reserve your spot in advance as the cruise was full, and we saw a number of walk-ups turned away.

Space Aliens Grill & Bar in Bismarck, North Dakota offers a family-friendly atmosphere with planetary-themed decor. The restaurant features a menu of comfort food and a full bar. Its flagship location boasts a unique interior filled with alien statues and popular science fiction characters, along with an arcade room for kids to enjoy themed games. Adults can relax at the bar called 'The Bar from Mars.' Additionally, the establishment has been recognized for serving the 'Best Ribs in America.'
This place was actually really fun! We enjoyed the vibe and the service was fast and friendly. We visited mid-week and mid-afternoon and the restaurant was pretty steady. We ordered the Pulled Pork Baked Potato, the Cajun Ranch Chicken Quesadilla and the Chicken Tortilla Cheese Soup. I LOVED that soup!
Jennifer S — Google review
At least it was cheap. It was busy and we waited over 45 min for food. When the food showed up, I was embarrassed for the kitchen. The pizza was soggy with a doughy undercooked "crust" seems wrong to call it a crust. If you told me it was microwaved and not cooked in a beautiful fire oven I would be inclined to believe you. The only Space Alien themed drinks they had were sweet takes on Long Island iced teas, or margaritas. My wife had the baked potato, with barbecue brisket, which had 2 ounces of brisket in it. And the barbecue sauce was way too sweet. There was a bunch of shredded cheese sprinkled on the plate that wasn't melted. Just bad. Our server was nice, but when I asked what bourbons they had (after she told me they had a full bar) she said "is that like whiskey?" this would be forgivable if we weren't sitting in the bar portion of the restaurant. Overall, this was an out of this world disappointment of truly galactic proportions. Update: After a night of reflection, here is my next morning updated review. 5 stars for theme. 1 star for gastrointestinal betrayal. Averaging to a solid 3-star meteor blast. Proceed with caution and maybe pack some Imodium in your space suit.

It was edible..... That is the only food I can say about it. The burgers were dry, chicken tenders overcooked, and ribs were meh. The fries were decent, that's about all! Service was very slow despite few people in the restaurant. $130 for 5 meals and no appetizers or drinks!
Justin G — Google review
Food was meh, my burger was the driest thing I have consumed, the fries were decent though. The service was below average, our waitress was kind but wouldn't check on us very much, when we first arrived in the restaurant, I saw an older employee complaining about working for 7 hours and deriding a younger employee over miscounting the amount of menus to give. The atmosphere was decent, the retro alien esthetic was cheesey but charming. The best thing I can say about the experience was the mural outside.
John G — Google review
Omg this place was awesome! The portions are huge the stuffed baked potatoes were the size of a dinner plate and absolutely delicious! The wings were the size of a chicken drumstick you buy in the grocery store and delicious! The vibe was so cool! Thank you Hope for the amazing service! Definitely worth the stop!!

Stopped here our first time in Bismarck Our server was very attentive and food came out quickly. My kids each had a burger and fries, and my husband and I shared a plate of BBQ. The meat was OK, just wish they didn't put sauce on it all ahead of time. We got mac n cheese as a side and it was flavorless and mushy. The arcade was very much lacking. It was very small with minimal games and unfortunately several that we tried didn't work. We reported it at the front counter, but no one ever came and worked on the machines.

Interesting place. Definitely best for bringing kids...beer was cold. Burger was good. Fries warm and just ok. Got the onion for an app and it was good until it hit me later!

We've been here a few times since moving to the area. The staff is always amazing and prompt at every visit. Giving 4 stars because the food is hot and miss. Sometimes it's amazing and the next time it's barely edible. The game room is small but it's nice for adults and kids alike. The games are newer and all but a couple worked which was great.

Every time we travel State side we manage to find a Cracker Barrel. This place hits all the check boxes for me and my husband. The food is terrific and very reasonably priced - the portions are huge. The staff are so attentive and friendly (every one we've stopped at). I love the country store - we always find something cute to buy. Absolutely recommend.

Always love eating at Cracker Barrel. The food is always delicious and the decor of the restaurant is fun to look at. Every table has nostalgic items, advertisements, and photos of historical nature. The entire restaurant is a museum of wall items! We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and a new item: shepherds pie with crunchy hash browns instead of mashed potatoes. Absolutely delish! Shout out to our server Trevin for giving us excellent service. Friendly, attentive and very pleasant. Great service all around from this young man. Of course, we had to browse the store before we left. They always have neat gift items and “old time” candies and treats you can’t find anywhere else.

I was excited for this home style cafe! The decor is fun. They seemed to have quite a few servers but may be not enough kitchen staff? I wanted breakfast so I ordered the grandma's sampler, which includes a slice of bacon, a sausage patty, a piece of ham, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes. One kid got the hamburger sliders with fries. The fries were his favorite. The other ordered the fruity pancakes with bacon, but didn't like the pancakes.. is a bit picky. My other half ordered the chicken fried steak with corn and greens. The warm biscuits and corn bread muffins were a nice start. The food took a bit longer because a different server took part of our order and our waitress apologized. The kitchen forgot my hashbrowns and sausage but whipped them up pretty quick. The pancakes were delicious!! It came with a cute bottle or syrup. The service was friendly and prompt! Thanks cracker barrel!

First of all, Cracker Barrel is my comfort place. I need a hacksaw and washboards by my head when I eat. Thanks for committing to keep the decor and the logo. It’s basically illegal for you to remove the homeyness at this point. Second, I spent my birthday meal there and it was a real joy. Literally. A charming, eccentric human named Joy was our waitress and she lives up to her name. I’ve come here many times in my now 3.5 decades of life and have never left a review but Joy deserves a 5 star review. She had my parents and I giggling, which made the food taste even better. Thanks for being a joy, Joy! September 11th had a feeling of heaviness to it this year (again) and you brought comfort, giggles, authenticity, and joy. I hope you know how cute and lovable you are! You deserve the best. 💗

Delivery Restaurant
A&B Pizza, a long-standing establishment that has been in operation since 1969, offers traditional comfort food in a classic setting. The restaurant is known for its delectable cuisine and has garnered praise for its lunch menu, which includes options such as two slices of pizza or a choice of two tacos with four additional selections at an affordable price of $3.50 each.
Not sure what they're doing differently but the last several house special pizzas were a huge disappointment. The crust is very thin, smaller in size, and toppings are just thrown on in piles. The 4 meat pizza looks nothing like shown in menu. Canadian bacon is crumbles, not slices. For the price I think they could do better. Very disappointed.
Rosie S — Google review
This used to be one of our favorite places to go. We would always order pizza for family get togethers from here instead of other pizza places to keep it local. Recently the service has tanked and the food quality has severely dropped. When the food is made properly it is still good but that is getting to be a toss up. The last two orders have been the last straw. The delivered pizza showed up smashed. See pictured. When I called to ask for a refund or new pizza I was offered nothing. You could tell a newer younger person was working, who hadn’t been trained very well. Today I placed an order for pick up to avoid this issue and when I ordered a northern and cheeseburger pizza, I showed up a half hour later, (as instructed) I received a northern and an actual cheeseburger. The pizza was cold. When I asked what happen I got a shoulder shrug but was offered to have the pizza made but it’d be at least a half hour… no discount or anything else offered since I didn’t have time to wait that long… Very sad the customer service has gone out the window. One less local place that still has that mom and pop feel.
Tanner B — Google review
Every time we go to the south store we are extremely disappointed. The north store was closed today, so we took a chance. We won't be doing that again. Next time, we will just have pizza a different night or go elsewhere. I asked for no basil on a half cheese half pepperoni pizza and got basil all over the pizza and it was about 3/4 pepperoni and 1/4 cheese. Would LOVE to have a refund. I highly recommend going elsewhere or going to the north store. The ordering process was also a bit painful and should have been a sign for me to stop and cancel the order. What a bummer.

After all of our birthday party plans fell through, A&B pizza gladly allowed us to have a small get together there in a matter of minutes. Food was excellent and the ladies working at the front were super nice and accommodating. Service was super fast as well!

We stopped in on are way thru town for a quick bite. Absolutely great pizza. Plenty of toppings, flavorful sauce and we loved the thin crispy crust. Pizza with 2 sodas, $17. They do more than pizza and have a full menu. I would compare it to a sports bar with tv's on every wall with the current ball games on, but it is also a family friendly restaurant.

Sam M — Google review
I came to get my order, they checked it and never told me how long it would be. I then got asked by another worker what I was there for, told them and overheard it would be 10 min. I asked why it was taking so long from the time I got quoted. I then went outside to grab my phone, came back in and the older dark haired lady who works there was making fun of me and speaking to the cook loudly saying” she left bc she was mad it was taking so long” in the nastiest voice and continued to talk bad about me not knowing I was standing there and said she was giving my pizza to another table. I confronted her about her behavior and not a sorry or anything she tried to lie about what she said. I have never been treated so poorly anywhere. Thank god I didn’t leave a tip, you lost multiple customers over this experience.

I was here for a mapping conference… The staff was very nice and it was a great facility. However, there’s a sign where you cannot bring your own food and beverages in there and yet the vending machine there is five dollars. Yes $5. Sorry but that seems really chintzy for a convention center to do this. Other than that, everything was great. Thank you all.

My daughter and I went to the Hollywood Undead and Tech N9ne concert and although they were Amazing the venue was not accommodating. I purchased ahead of time good seats on had sec. 105 row EE seats 6 &7. When we were able to get to our seats they informed us that they did not set up the bottom rows of that section and that I could sit in section 100 "side view nose bleeds" i did not get the premium seating that i paid for. The staff was not very willing to work with us to find us an equivalent seat in the same section.
Brooke L — Google review
First of all the bands were great and loved them!!! However my low rating has to do with the venue it's self. This is the second time I have bought premium seats center stage and front row seating. Only to get there and be told they did NOT set up first 6 rows of seating. So all of us that bought and paid for great seats were moved to lower priced seats several rows up and at the very end of the venue. Not at all what I paid for!!!! If I wanted to sit there i would have bought seats there. Have premium tickets to another concert next month so hope this doesn't happen a third time.!!! So just beware when spending the money on great seats, you just might not get what you pay for at this venue!!!!!!!!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Bismarck, Butterhorn is a charming eatery that beautifully marries European-inspired flavors with New American cuisine. With dishes reflecting Stephanie's heritage, you can expect delightful regional specialties like lefse, bison, and kuchen alongside an array of exquisite wine and cocktails.
Discovered this place when researching farm to table places in town. Was delighted by the atmosphere and customer service. The butterhorns were delicious. Fun cocktail menu and good wine selection too. The kale salad was good not too heavily dressed. The salmon was very crispy and the smashed potatoes too. Large servings! Would go again if a local or in town.

So good, we came twice in one weekend. My husband and I were on our way to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and our route took us through Bismarck. We stopped at Butterhorn for supper on our way there, and we shared the burger. It was seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had - super flavorful with great toppings, perfectly cooked. The drinks were pricier than I thought they deserved to be, so I'd probably skip those next time. On our way back, it was Easter Sunday, and they were open for brunch. We got a butterhorn (with the cinnamon butter - amazing) and split the chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the waffle had bacon in it. The syrup was Tabasco maple syrup, which was something totally different. Yes, it was pricey, but the quality was there. The service was great, as was the atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend Butterhorn, and I'd definitely stop again should I find myself in Bismarck!

Fricken awesome! Places like this should be packed all the time but maybe we just showed up early. Real food done amazing and nothing like you can get anywhere else. Drinks are amazing too! I can’t believe how amazing the price was for everything. I expected to pay double for cuisine like this!

We started with some amazing appetizers, Artichoke app was spot on but what got the most praise was the meatballs, they where simply put- brilliant! We didn't had a chance to try their bread since they run out of it. Beef tenderloin was simply melting in your mouth but the brussel sprouts where way overcooked. Mushrooms pasta was rich, creamy and delicious. Though, a little bit more mushrooms inside would enhance the visual experience as well. Service could've been little bit more attentive.

Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site is a restored 1884 Victorian home and carriage house located at the corner of Avenue B and 4th Street in Bismarck, North Dakota. It served as the residence for 20 governors from 1893 to 1960. The mansion was originally a private residence before being purchased by the state for $5,000.
A beautiful , well cared for mansion. They let you wander through the house and the volunteers answered any at the end. A donation is optional, but it is a nice gift to give.

Beautiful house. There's an attendant there as well so if you have questions or anything he can help....the gentleman we had was very knowledgeable and friendly. There was no admittance fee. Plaques mounted to the walls to describe the different living areas. They've actually peeled away different layers of wallpaper and paint as well as the lath and plaster. Definitely worth stopping to see.

Charming old Victorian house chock full of history. The entire house was open for a self guided tour. The attendant wasn’t especially friendly but that might just be a ND thing (Scandinavian heritage? Long winters?) Anyway, this museum is well worth the stop if you are already driving thru Bismarck.

LOVE LOVE LOVE The TILTZ Experience, I Highly Recommend this place if your looking for nostalgia games (but It IS pretty spendy) So Glad that I was able to Spend Time w/My Two (Adult) Kid's along w/their significant others on Easter After Church & Lunch. Definitely Worth EVERY Penny.

Lots of friendly staff and indoor shopping. Anchored by 3 large stores. Target, Scheels and JCPenney. You can find lots of things you want here. Several restaurants around the outside area of the mall but still in same parking lot. Panera bread place is excellent there!

I'm from California. We needed to go to T-Mobile and Target. Some locals told us to go to the mall we'd find it in one place. My first impression of this mall was how clean and well organized it is. Let's go to a lot of great stores sporting goods clothing and even a Barnes & Noble bookstore. Target JCPenney are here. It's good.

This is an ok mall. If you want to call it that, there is not alot of store choices here. Now there is several in the area. However, you do get the small town feel, which I think is great. I hate to see these dieing off.

Brick Oven Bakery is a traditional French bakery located in downtown Bismarck. The bakery offers a variety of freshly baked breads and pastries, with the highlight being their sourdough bread made from scratch in the incredible brick oven at the back of the building. Owned by Steve and Sandy Jacobson, this bakery has quickly become a popular spot since its opening in 2019.
Food was so good had to go portrait mode and I don’t even know how that works. Thick cut bacon, egg, cheese and what I am describing as a chive cream cheese crème fresh (I don’t know, but keep it on.) All on a made from scratch croissant…forgettaboitit. Coffee was great and added an assortment for another small business Electric Salon. #supportsmallbusiness

I can confidently say that it is love at first sip of coffee, at the first breath of this divine freshly baked bread, croissants and puffs! This is my favorite cafe in all of North Dakota. I adore your serving of coffee in these snow-white cups!!! And your croissants are a divine delight! For this reason, I am ready to drive 2 hours from Jamestown to immerse myself in this atmosphere of delight!!! You are the best! Thank you so much for your work!!!

Stopped on for a coffee and brunch snack. Very cute and cozy location, but also limited seating. The line was a little longer which made it hard to maneuver to the back seating area. The coffee was good as well as the croissant. I had some friends with who were at the end waiting for our order to be ready so it was odd when they called my name to the back for me to come up and get it. They had cool chalk drawings on the sidewalk right out by the front door which added a little interest as well.

We went on a trip out west recently and our first stop of the trip was Bismarck. While looking for a breakfast spot, I came across Brick Oven Bakery and it looked really good so we decided to come by. Came at around 11 AM on a Saturday and they were quite busy, there was a very long line at the register so we had to wait a bit. I got a breakfast croissant sandwich as my meal and we also got a cinnamon bun, breakfast danish, and a blueberry muffin to try. The croissant was really good! The bacon was cooked nice, the eggs were fresh, and all the pastries we tried were fantastic. The cinnamon roll was perfect, the breakfast danish was unreal, and the blueberry muffin was pretty good. Overall, I was super impressed! If you’re in Downtown Bismarck, Brick Oven Bakery is a winning breakfast spot and worth the wait! I’ll be back.

The food was really good and priced similar to donuts in town for the pastries we got. Also got some sourdough bread which was amazing.

I am continually impressed with the quality of Brick Oven Bakery! Their pastries are so fresh, flaky, and delicious and they offer a wide variety of flavors! When you step in it feels like you’re in a European cafe! There is pleasant music and you can see the bread and pastries being prepared which is cool! There is also outdoor seating! Coffees aren’t too sweet and have nice flavor. We make sure to stop here every time we’re traveling through, we would definitely recommend!

Camp Hancock State Historic Site is a preserved 1872 military installation, once known as Camp Greeley, aimed at protecting garrison troops constructing the Northern Pacific Railroad. The site features various buildings, including the log cabin headquarters now serving as an interpretive museum showcasing local history artifacts and information. Additionally, visitors can explore a 1909 Northern Pacific Locomotive and the oldest church in Bismarck, Bread of Life Church.
Lovely, peaceful grounds. A pretty covered open building housing the rail engine. Plenty of pigeons/doves roosting above it so don't get past the railing! There is also a gorgeous old church on the grounds and the weather service building. Lots of sweet scented peonies on the grounds, a well maintained lawn, the perfect tree to frame photos of the beautiful church from the back, a pair of soft stained glass windows complete the site. The railroad runs behind it and the front of the site is framed by the street with lamp post signs.
Anupa D — Google review
Nice and quiet place. Unfortunately the church was closed when I was there and had no chance to visit it A good opportunity to see an old steam locomotive and to be impressed by its dimensions. The left side of the locomotive, the one facing the nearby railway, would need more maintenance as in some spots the paint is falling off and in general, mainly considering the pigeons living under the roof, it would require some cleaning.

Nestled in the heart of Bismarck, BittyBean Coffee is a delightful café that captures the essence of community and quality. This charming spot specializes in an array of coffee drinks, from pour-overs to lattes, alongside a selection of loose-leaf teas. But that's not all—BittyBean also offers scrumptious baked goods and pastries that make it an ideal place to unwind.
One my favorite places! The seasonal and barista drinks are so creative and fun to try. The ube latte! 100! The menu for drinks and from the kitchen has such a great variety. Thank you so much for having gluten free options! The coffee cake is delightful and ordered each time. I love the art work and this one has been the best so far.

An adorable oasis right off of Main Street. This cute little drive through has outdoor seating in a grassy, shaded area with a fun vibe. If you are close to the location you could walk over and order at their walk up window. I ordered the Miel, which was delicious and then a nice sized yogurt parfait with yummy fruit on the bottom and crunchy granola on top. In the drive through you can scan the QR code to get their menu or to snag their app for ordering.

The Paddle Trap, located in downtown Bismarck with a stunning view of the Missouri River, is an excellent choice if you're looking to impress someone on a date or dine with your parents. This restaurant offers a diverse range of options including Broadway Grill & Tavern, Fireflour Pizza, Peacock Alley, Pirogue Grille, and India Clay Oven.
Absolutely hit the spot! Visiting from Arizona I loved having the option to sit outside and watch the storm rolling in with the rain ✨ the food was perfectly seasoned and prepared. There was maybe a 15 minute wait to be seated only because a larger party was ahead of us. So not bad at all for a Sunday brunch. Definitely worth the wait! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Thanks again for the great time and experience at the paddle trap!

Stopped by the Paddle Trap late this afternoon with my son. I’ve eaten here before, but he hadn’t. We went around 4:30 and were seated right away. By the time we left, the place was filling up inside and out. Reservations are recommended during the dinner/supper hours. Restaurant has an open floor concept with plenty of room. Patio seats more people with a view of the river. We dined inside because it’s wasp season. Lol. Food was delicious and our server Lexus was AMAZING!

This is going to be a pretty passionate review, because frankly, I’m obsessed with The Paddle Trap. Let’s start by stating it’s a scratch kitchen… in the days of convenience and people rushing… a scratch kitchen truly is something to applaud. The chefs, Alex & Matt, put so much heart and soul into every single creation that goes onto the menu. And I feel like you can taste it! It’s made with the utmost care. 🥰 I also believe The Paddle Trap has THE best river views. The patio is so large, but so inviting!! Summer here is my favorite! You can have a full service dining experience on the east side of the patio, or a self serve experience on the south side. The Taco Trap is incredible & so is the swing bar! The patio is also dog friendly and they have a menu just for pups!!!! I love that!!!! The staff are so bubbly and friendly… you can tell the staff get along well, which isn’t the case for every establishment! My recommendations? Lunch/dinner menu: Cajun shrimp bowl Brunch menu: Cinnamon brioche French toast with ice cream & a side of bacon OR the spicy fried chicken sandwich with hot honey, fries and a side of homemade ranch. Desert: cheesecake of the day, of course!!!! Drink: I don’t drink alcohol, but the beverage menu is SOOOOOO impressive! Everything made… you guessed it…. From scratch. No bottled mixes! The mocktails are incredible- I go with a huckleberry nojito myself!! The shakes, as you can tell from my photos, are also amazing. Where else can family’s take their kids out to dinner on the river & truly let their kids be kids? There’s a claw machine for them to win prizes, but there’s also a complimentary treasure chest! My kids love it. They also love the cheese curds, the chicken strips, fries, strawberry lemonade & 1919 root beer on tap! Thanks Paddle Trap for being a staple in our household and destination for every out of town visitor we host! 😍

Everything about this experience was amazing! Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive, our food was outstanding and the drinks were above all! To top it off there was live music with the McMahon Brothers! Extraordinary vibes! Highly recommend! Best Reuben sandwich Iv ever had and the onion rings couldn't be beat!

Just passing through on a road trip and got super lucky with this hidden gem on the river! This place is for everyone - crowds ranging all ages with plenty of spaces to hang out without having to be in everyone's conversations. I loved the indoor seating options with the chic decor and indoor plant vibes. The patio, river view seating is refreshing and so inviting. They have fire pits, cozy patio furniture, tables and more for relaxing and enjoying their yummy food. We tried the spicy chicken sandwich (amazing breading and the hot honey was bomb - see photos), their chowder (got it because someone reviewed it and said it was great. They didn't lie, it's great.), and their poutine (the fried egg was a great touch and the gravy was delicious on the crunchy fries and fried cheese curds). Their Carmel milkshake was great - handmade with real icecream. The outdoor bar is super fun with swing seats! Many people came and went from their boats/jetskis - the dock set up was super for docking. Yes, it can be busy. Yes, orders can be missed or arrive late. Things happen. Just let them know and they will fix it ASAP, they just have to know what you need. We loved our server, Eric, for his present, grounded energy and his attentive demeanor - he's setting a great example for going with the flow. Thanks for a great experience!

Love this place. All my nieces and nephews love it. They sell socks here too jump, there are lockers, there's a little coffee shop, it's always clean. It is a bit spendy for the jump time. They are always adding new things for the kids to do too. There are coupons all the time. 72 for 4 children is the one we used recently.

The experience was not great at all. I brought my kids & it was our first time here and it was not great. The staff that worked looked miserable and I didn’t see one staff smile, let alone acknowledge the children with a friendly gesture. I wouldn’t recommend & will not be bringing my business back here. The amount I paid for the kids to jump & this be our experience was not fun, or ideal. I just went on July 3rd, 2024 of this year. GET A GRIP ON CUSTOMER SERVICE 🤢
T S — Google review
This place is not a great experience, spent $100+ for a toddler and two adults to jump with our son. I read a comment about the fun police aka staff and it is true… at one point there was tons of balls that my son loved and a staff member wanted all of them put away due to cleaning… clean when the place closes in two hours! Waste of time and money.
Blake W — Google review
This place sucks, they are literally security camp like Nazi Germany. Had employees constantly telling us we were breaking the rules, which we were not, and there attitude was ridiculous. I didn't pay 140 bucks for someone constantly riding my behind. This place absolutely sucks go get some McDonald's and play in the play house you would have more freedom and fun there.
Garrett S — Google review
Probably one of the worst facilities I’ve ever stepped foot in. Expensive for the limited activities they had to offer on top of that constantly having their employees watch you like a hawk to make sure you’re following their 20+ rules. I don’t need a chaperone supervising my kids or I. They literally follow you around the entire time. Save your money and your time.
A S — Google review
I am absolutely appalled! I walked into your establishment today as a paying customer, mind you !! And was promptly approached by a strange man with an accent who told me I needed to leave. I’m sorry, what? I purchased a coffee. I followed all the rules. And yet I’m being told to leave? For what reason? Is this how you treat your customers? Because if so, I’d like to know why. Is this discrimination? Because it certainly felt like it. I would appreciate an immediate explanation and quite frankly, an apology. This is completely unacceptable.
Sully K — Google review
Came to celebrate my son's birthday, paid $140, ONE HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS!! Left 20 minutes before said jump time was even over due to the fun police. If you want to be told to jump in one spot, this is the place! 0 stars. As a family of 4 We've been to jump parks before, so this isn't our first rodeo. Somebody's watching me by Rockwell should've been the song playing in there the whole time, or sound of the police. These people got eyes on you like a hawk the whole time. I get there needs to be guidelines but got forbid we do anything besides jump in one place.(mind you as a 33 week pregnant woman, who can barely jump to begin with) I was also told I can't hold my 2 year old on the trampoline, while walking him across. God forbid a mother distracting her kid so he doesn't disrupt the "toddler pit" which was also being used as a workout area. I would hope being charged $25 (jump time and socks) my toddler would be able to utilize the TODDLER area! I recommend the manager and employees to reflect on recent reviews.
Sophia S — Google review
Took our 5 boys today for the first time for a birthday and we won't go again spent a fortune to get everyone wrist bands and socks way over prices same price for adults as our 1.5 year old, ridiculous. The 1 pluse side is you don't have to worry about your kids getting into trouble there but don't worry they won't get to have much fun either the staff was like security in a prison camp I think we got told we were breaking the rules at every different jump or foam pit... we came as a family so naturally we want to jump together and stand around with each other and talk. Our 1.5 year old did ok for a bit but then wanted to be carried and loved being bounced, being told I can't carry my own child around put me in a bad mood and ruined the 1.5 hour we had to play. Just super disappointing for something that could have such potential everything is netted and railed off would be a great safe place to turn the kids loose if not so ridiculously over priced and didn't have to worry about the staff jumping down their thoughts everytime they make a move... Wishing I could get my money back didn't pay a days wage to get yelled at the whole time .

My rating goes for the KingPin Lounge. The bartending I had yesterday was very rude and bad customer service. I asked for her to make me a “scooby snack cocktail” and she stopped slapped her hands down by her things and sighed “yeah” then was looking at my husband and said “anything else” in the rudest way. I didn’t feel welcomed at all. I went to the bathroom and my husband said the bartender was complaining to her coworker about having to make my scooby snack. What’s so hard about it? It’s a choice to be rude & a choice if you want to be at work, no one is making them be there! I suggest changing your bartenders because we love going to this bar but the bartenders are so RUDE! The next two customers that are white so got a “hello how are you today” but me and my husband never got a hello or anything. I will never be coming back to this bar.

I really enjoyed the food they have here, Have a good selection and I would highly Recommend it. Others might have different experiences but mine was great. The games are fun, Expensive but injoyable, I would compare to space aliens for games but way more choices, Especially enjoyed the super Mario kart, That is definitely a less play, They also have a new Expanded arcade When it's finished. Some more games in more Room.

Joanna B — Google review
Depending on a certain situation, in the skatepark, it is a very nice place to practice, if it is not overcrowded which depending on time and day can be very overwhelming, at the times that I've been there, everybody is looking out for each other, but accidents do happen. I don't know how it is at night with others, but around the area, I have seen many broken bottles and glass in certain areas, so I'm always mindful of that. Are the times that I've been there the tennis court area was in good appearance The area surrounding the whole entire park seems to be kept clean, but still can be found random trash here and there. The disc golf park area, has always been buzzy, only being overcrowded when there's a tournament. All around the surrounding Park area, grass has been cut, so I have never really seen it ever being too high.. The trees surrounding the entire area give it a nice and shady place to walk, so it won't be too hot. The kids parks have always been kept in good repair. The walk path all-around is also been in good repair. There's a few outside shelters with BBQs so you can have family picnics. This area is also perfect because it is very close to a tiny kids out side water park. Adults and kids can use this water park. I have not seen a lot of shady people here, so hopefully there is no drug-related issues going on at night. My experience is only with the skatepark, some of the rocks that they have four people displayed have quite a broken broken pieces of glass, which my understanding is beer bottles, and a lot of drinking, hope everyone's experience is better, I would really love for them to really clean up that around there skatepark is for adults and kids you just have to go when there's not too many people, 20 people can be overcrowded. I'm not sure how it works but there is some kids activity center, next to the skatepark, not sure how or who has access, I think it's for only scheduled for groups. I have walked the entire area, there is some areas where there is picnic tables to sit, as well as garbage cans throughout, which seemed to be cleaned out weekly. A lot of individuals walking on these paths, tend to pick up their dog's poop, but some don't, always be aware of that. If you're curious always give it a look before you decide go here for future events, I would say in total length from end-to-end it would be at least a mile or less in length, I'm not certain that's just a general guess.

Older kids are allowed to jump as long as they are careful around the younger ones, making it a great option for families with children of different ages. The customer service is excellent, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions.
I hadn't taken my 3 yr old here due to the price. The deal is better if you stay for 2 hours than it is for 1 hour. As winter continues its Sub-Zero reign of frigid awfulness, the need grows to go release that toddler energy. There are only so many places to take a little one to play in the frozen months so I was relieved to see an indoor playground pop up in Bismarck. The guy at the desk was welcoming, directing us to the more suitable areas for a small first-timer. There were a couple of large groups of kids ranging from 2 - 3 years to maybe 11 - 12 years; a diverse mix of bouncing fun-havers. My little guy is SO small I was initially nervous he'd get run over. But the other kids were politely mindful of him & even helpful to him when I lost sight of him briefly & was terrified he'd gotten squished somewhere. I liked that the area is such that parents can walk between the structures and keep an eye on things. I'll definitely be back (as my budget allows) because seeing that sheer joy & wonder on his face turned out to be worth the price on this Saturday.

Fun, Safe, and Friendly – Loved It! Jumped Up Indoor Fun Park is an awesome place for kids to play and get their energy out! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the whole place was clean and well-organized. The staff were all great, and KT stood out with their friendly and helpful attitude—made our experience even better! My kids had so much fun and didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon

How much more fun can a place be for little ones! Went for a B-Day party and my kids had a blast. Customer service was excellent and very attentive. Any questions we had were answered, very knowledgeable. The price was decent and fair for all you get.

Katrina was so so nice and helpful! She made us feel so welcomed and my boys really enjoyed this place for their birthday!! Definitely will be going back next time we are in the area!!

Thought it would be stuffy and dirty but it was clean, not overcrowded, well maintained, and my 3.5 year old had a great time!

We had our son’s 2nd birthday party here and it was amazing! Everyone had fun, even his hard to please 13 year old sister had a good time. Will definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for an unforgettable birthday. Thank you!
Brittany B — Google review
Went to the front desk to bring to their attention that they had no supervision on the floor and children were being hurt the manager pointed out a sign that said adult supervisor by parents for the children. I pointed out the sign they have posted that says there will be supervision by staff on the floor at all times, there was none. He said there was but a person on the phone outside and a person on the register is not supervision. I told them how a child was dangerously leaning over the top of an two story inflatable bounce house. How several children were hurt. He continued to argue with me that that the parents responsible, agree, but it is also the responsibility of the establishment to provide a safe environment. They were also playing completely inappropriate music such as Maroon 5 on a loudspeaker, the cussing and references to being naked are completely inappropriate for young children when I brought this up they did change it to Disney songs. There was nothing but excuses and absolutely no action even after I brought these things to their attention can honestly say even if I lived here I would not be back I would not recommend. They apologized.

Katrina was an amazing host for our son's birthday party. Everything was set up and ready to go. He had a great time.

Bearscat Bakehouse is a well-known donut shop located in Bismarck, offering an extensive array of flavors and styles. This family-owned business has expanded to four locations across two states, priding itself on making fresh donuts daily and offering over 50 different kinds of donuts. The bakery has gained popularity for its exceptional quality and memorable name, becoming a go-to destination for those who love indulging in sugary delights.
Here in ND for work and have bought donuts from two of the bakeries locations in Bismarck. Both have had wonderful staff, clean comfortable stores, and huge selection of donuts! I have tried many of their variety and they've all been excellent. But as of today I have to say I am more impressed than ever! It has been decades since I've had a proper Bavarian cream bismarck donut. Most times the cream filling tastes like a plain vanilla custard, which is still tasty. However, whatever the difference is, the Bavarian cream here is reminiscent of my youth and is absolutely outstanding!

Where have you been all my life?! A wonderful donut shop with artifacts in one of my favorite cities, Bismarck! The donuts are yummy and delicious!! You gotta love the name! So I had to try its namesake signature bearscat donut! LOL It is a Bismarck treasure! I met the coolest, friendliest, and nicest person, Nick! We talked about this great state (Be Legendary), city, food (sweets), and travel! LOL 😊
Natina H — Google review
Cute donut shop- employees are always friendly, donuts are always fresh, soft and delicious. The owners often do fun things- free donuts, trick donuts for aprils fools, appreciation days ect. You can tell they love their customers and really enjoy what they do. The apple fritters are THE BEST I've had as of yet. I HIGHLY recommend!
Crystal G — Google review
Clean, new bakery/donut shop. Loved the creativity of the decor. I literally stopped in my tracks as I walked inside, fearful I was going to step on a bear trap (it's worth going just to see that). The donuts were creative and fresh. Be prepared to pay a bit more. All was good. It's nice to have a independent donut bakery in Bismarck.

While waiting to pay for my order what seemed to look like an elderly, homeless gentleman came in behind me. I noticed the other employee behind the counter immediately recognized the man, and seemed to know his order. He placed a donut in a bag and sent the man on his way covering the charge. The single donut was a small gesture of an act of human kindness that reminded me there is good people in this world. Employee of the month to this happy, jolly man!!
Zach M — Google review
After reading lots of stellar reviews for this donut shop I decided to give it a try. I was extremely disappointed. The cake donut was extremely dry and hard as a rock. The jelly-filled donut was more jelly than donut with cheap whipped frosting on the top. I've had better grocery store donuts. This place is highly overrated.

These great donuts are the best I've found in the area, so far! Service is always great and fun, with only 1 older lady being the exception.

The park is highly regarded in the Bismarck area for over three decades and has been cherished by families who have brought their children and now their grandchildren to enjoy its amenities.
This has been one of our favorite Bismarck area parks to come to for over 30 years! We brought our children here and now are bringing our grand children. Love the beach, the play areas, the walking areas. Great memories are made here.

General Sibley Park and Campground, located just four miles south of Bismarck, offers an array of recreational activities in a natural setting. Visitors can enjoy an 18-hole disc golf course, kayaking or paddleboarding on the water, and leisurely walks along nature paths with informative plaques highlighting the area's natural and historical significance. Established in 1967, this 140-acre site is named after General Henry Sibley and provides a popular camping area.
Beautiful campground with HUGE open spaces and large campsites. I think every tree in North Dakota is located in this park 😅!! The sites have electric hookups, but no sewer. However, they had a fill station on the way in and a nice, clean dumpstation with backwashing on the way out. Made life super easy on us. We are already planning another trip and hope to bring the entire crew next time! This a great campground for strolls, bike riding, pets, and hammocks (again, so many trees)!! The woman who worked the front office was so friendly and helpful, too!
Alyssa J — Google review
The RV spots are huge and plentiful. The only down side is the bathrooms. They are kept unlocked and some of the local take advantage of it. They do not take care of them. In the morning the park crew have it clean but by 10pm they are kinda gross. The Parks and Recs did a great job on their free concert they put on. I would definitely come back.
Patrick J — Google review
What a wonderful find! The Fall colors were beautiful and the camp spots were so big. Felt like we were really out with nature plus a very nice dump site on the way out and water. The park Personnel was awesome! It was 4 miles off of Highway 94 and very easy to get to. Well worth the short drive. We definitely will be back:-) oh and the bathrooms and showers were very nice and very very clean:-)

Location = very nice Sites = very spacious and private Facilities = clean and modern Noise = quiet Hiking = nice trails in park Internet = very good Centrally located to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, and Bismarck. Really enjoyed this park. It is a city park, but it’s nicer than many of the state parks we’ve stayed at.
Lisa S — Google review
Beautiful park close to town, lots of trees, electric sites, dump station and potable water available. Disc golf course too. Tent camping area. Restroom and showers were clean.
John M — Google review
Nice tent and RV sites. Clean restrooms and showers. I think the #88 RV spot may be the best. There is a trail at the back of the site that takes you to a private area overlooking the water.
Dave S — Google review
Quiet, woodsy campground located in the outskirts of the Capital City. Cost $27 Campground: This is a large, sprawling campground that has some twisty one-way roads. We wouldn’t recommend this for rigs any longer than 60 feet or taller than 13-1/2 feet. We felt we were pushing the limits of clearance on branches and maneuvering turns and into our site. Campsite #64 The campsite was a gravel back-in site that backed up to a large park area in between another road of campers. The campsite took a bit of leveling. It had a fairly steep slope on the utility side and the back. This was electric only and 20 and 30 #amp. They do have multiple drinking water stations to fill and one dump station. We had a picnic table at our site and a fire ring with a layover grill. No propane refill here. No Wifi Starlink: Good enough for streaming Verizon: Emails and light googling Noise Level: It was very quiet at this campground. Amenities: They have several bathhouses with a shower and couple of toilets, but this campground is large and has no sewer connections so as you would imagine, the bathhouse stays busy! And it was clean enough. Multiple trashcans located throughout the park. No laundry facilities. No pool, but multiple playgrounds located throughout the park. Other facilities: Horseshoes, Geocaches, volley ball, a Boat Ramp, 18-hole disc golf course, an interpretive trail, little library, and a poetry box quest! You search for the poetry boxes throughout the park and leave a poem and read the poems that are there. Dog friendly: While it is dog friendly, no off-leash areas. There are plenty of green space to walk and they have pickup stations that are fully stocked. Camp store: No camp store but they do have Firewood: $6 and Ice: $7 Camp staff interactions: Camp staff who checked us in was friendly and helpful Additional info: Make sure to check out the information on the road construction coming into the campground because it is no joke!

This state park is beautiful and very big. Fairly easy to reserve an RV site online, but must create an account first. It’s nice they have a map to choose a site that your rig will fit into. We have a class A motorhome, 38 foot with a tow and chose site 46. It’s a back on site, but worked perfectly for us, easy to unhook. There is water to fill up at the entrance if needed. Sites have electric only. Close to town of Bismarck, N.D.
