Located in Minneapolis, the Children's Theatre Company is a renowned troupe that specializes in adapting classic children's stories into captivating stage productions suitable for the entire family. It is recognized as the nation's largest and most acclaimed theater for young audiences, offering a diverse range of shows tailored to different age groups, including preschoolers.
My boys and I had the best time and it was such a great show! Most definitely recommended seeing the Grinch. For all ages!
Desiree J — Google review
The performance so impressive. The ground crew, orchestra, the actors all so good! The seats are really uncomfortable. It would be cool if the would put up a Birds Eye view of your view from each seating section. For those of use that don’t often make it to these venues it would be helpful.
Breanna S — Google review
A truly magical experience! The Minneapolis Children’s Theatre Company is an absolute treasure. Every performance is filled with incredible talent, creativity, and heart. It’s a place where imagination comes alive—for kids and adults alike! The quality of the productions is outstanding, and the atmosphere makes it easy to create lasting core memories with family and friends. Truly one of the best ways to experience the arts in Minnesota.

Took my grandchildren to see The Enormous Crocodile. What an incredible experience. I think I enjoyed it as much as my grandkids. The scenery, acting and singing was all incredible. Can't wait to go to another play there.

Our family has been going to plays at the Children's Theatre Co. for many years. Every play is really well done and our kids love every experience, as well as us as parents. They performances are as good as, if not better than, any other play you can see in the Twin Cities!

The Minneapolis Institute of Art, also known as Mia, is a renowned art museum boasting over 90,000 works from six continents spanning 5,000 years. Housed in a stunning Prairie Architecture building designed by legends like Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, Mia offers an open floor plan to showcase its diverse collections. Visitors can explore ancient artifacts like a mummy and European masterpieces alongside contemporary exhibits featuring artists such as Dawoud Bey and Kehinde Wiley.
An Absolute Gem – A Must-Visit in Minneapolis! 🌟 The Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) is truly a world-class museum with an incredible collection that spans centuries and cultures. I was amazed by the diversity, quality, and depth of the exhibits — and even more amazed that general admission is completely free, as far as I understood. There are paid special exhibitions, but the main galleries are open to all and absolutely worth the visit. My personal favorite was the Japanese and Chinese porcelain collections. The elegance, detail, and history embedded in each piece are just breathtaking. The serene layout of the Asian art section creates a quiet, almost meditative atmosphere. Some of the Japanese ceramics and Chinese vases date back hundreds of years, yet the craftsmanship feels timeless. You can sense the spiritual and cultural significance behind each design, brushstroke, and curve. I spent the most time here and honestly could return just to revisit this part alone. My sincere recommendation: break your visit into multiple days. Each floor is rich and overwhelming in the best way possible — trying to absorb it all in one day would not do it justice. Take your time. Let each culture, era, and room sink in. The museum is clean, well-organized, and the staff is kind and helpful. Whether you’re into European classics, modern art, Native American works, or ancient sculpture — there’s something here that will speak to you. Highly recommended for art lovers, travelers, and anyone looking for inspiration. Mia is a treasure.
Maryna B — Google review
For a museum in a midsize city, I was pretty impressed by the quality of the collection. It’ll take a good 3 to 4 hours if you decide to see the entire museum. If you focus on a sub genre, you could probably do it in an hour and a half. Definitely worth a stop if you have any interest in art. Surprisingly good collection of impressionists that you have heard of as well as impressionist that you haven’t. That was my biggest positive surprise of the day, and I’m really glad that I went.
Lon W — Google review
Absolutely amazing museum – and it's completely FREE! The Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) is hands-down one of the best cultural attractions in the Twin Cities. From the moment you walk in, the staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Whether you're a first-time visitor or returning, you'll always be greeted with a smile and a warm atmosphere. What makes Mia even more impressive is the quality and variety of the exhibits – everything from ancient artifacts and Asian art to modern masterpieces and local work. The galleries are well-organized, beautifully curated, and surprisingly expansive. You could easily spend several hours wandering through and still have more to see on your next visit. And yes, it’s completely free to visit, which is honestly incredible for a museum of this caliber. Donations are encouraged but not required, making art and culture truly accessible to everyone. It’s a perfect place for families, solo visitors, students, or tourists looking for something enriching and peaceful to do. The museum also has a lovely gift shop and a nice café if you want to take a break. Plus, the building itself is stunning, with lots of natural light and clean, open spaces. Overall, the Minneapolis Institute of Art is a must-visit. Friendly people, world-class art, and free admission
Nassar A — Google review
The Minnesota Institute of Art is truly a cornerstone of Minnesota’s cultural and artistic scene — easily one of the top art museums in the U.S.! Their Asian art section is especially impressive, with thoughtfully curated collections that showcase incredible depth and beauty. We always look forward to their rotating special exhibits, and this year’s Cambodian Art of the Divine was absolutely outstanding. The colossal sculpture of the Hindu god Vishnu, a Cambodian national treasure, was breathtaking to see up close. Every visit feels like a celebration of art, culture, and community — it’s wonderful to run into familiar faces and share the joy of discovery with fellow art lovers. MIA is truly a gem of Minnesota!
Chen Z — Google review
The Minneapolis Institute of Art is an absolute treasure. The fact that admission is free makes it even more incredible given the scale and quality of the collection. You can wander from ancient artifacts and Asian art to European masters and contemporary pieces, all beautifully displayed in a stunning building. The museum is clean, well-organized, and staff are welcoming and helpful. Special exhibits do sometimes have a fee, but they’re worth it—always thoughtfully curated and impressive. Parking is pretty easy, and it’s accessible by public transit too. You could easily spend several hours here, and still feel like there’s more to explore. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Minneapolis—art lovers, families, or just anyone looking for an inspiring day.
Tam H — Google review
This is my dream museum. It’s so vast, we came twice in one week and barely made it through a whole floor. Fantastic painting section. Lovely staff. And it’s free ?! Unbelievable. The parc in the back is also lovely…
Lion C — Google review
Absolutely loved visiting to the Minneapolis Institute of Art! The museum is stunning, well-organized, and filled with an incredible range of exhibits, from classic paintings to modern installations. Every gallery feels thoughtfully curated, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We walked through the nearby sculpture garden, which was a perfect complement to the visit. There’s a lot of walking involved, so wear comfortable shoes, but it’s totally worth it for the art, the views, and the peaceful atmosphere. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend a few hours and still feel like there’s more to explore. Highly recommend for anyone who loves art, history, or just a great day out in Minneapolis!
Susan O — Google review
I’ve been here a few times. This is one of my favorite museums I’ve ever been too. We spent three hours here and only managed to view the third floor viewing various period rooms, architecture and design, impressionist, neoclassic, modern contemporary, rococo style art. We could have spent the entire day here, had we not had other plans. We walked and grabbed food nearby and ate at the cute little park across the street. The area we grabbed food from was a little sketchy and there were no public restrooms, even at the McDonald’s. So if you’re traveling, use the museum bathrooms before heading out to grab food!

Mill City Museum is a captivating destination that offers an immersive experience into the history of Minneapolis and the flour industry. Housed within the reconstructed ruins of the Washburn "A" Mill, visitors can explore interactive exhibits that narrate the city's evolution alongside the flour industry. The museum, located on the banks of the Mississippi Riverfront, provides insight into how this industry shaped Minneapolis' growth. As part of the St.
We had a fantastic time at the Mill City Museum in Minneapolis. It’s built right into the ruins of an old flour mill, which gives it a really unique and historic atmosphere. The museum does a great job of telling the story of how Minneapolis became the flour milling capital of the world. The Flour Tower ride was an awesome experience. It’s an elevator-style tour that stops at different levels and shows what life was like when the mill was running.👌👌 There are a lot of hands-on exhibits, You can even learn about baking and water power in really interactive ways. rooftop observation deck—the views of the Mississippi River and the Stone Arch Bridge are absolutely. Convenient paid parking is available nearby
Sureshmi S — Google review
We absolutely adored this museum (and I am really not a museum lover). We loved the quirky introduction Video that gave an overview of the city throughout the years and how the flour mill fit into the economic growth of the city. All of the “artifacts” were so nostalgic and brought back so many fun memories of days gone by! Our kids 17, 14 & 11 loved all of the interactive activities (not just cool for little kids). My daughter and I loved putting together the large wooden block puzzle. The highlight though is the tower tour…think Tower of Terror without the drop and the terror haha! It was set up in a similar fashion with nostalgic scenes of the flour mill how it would have looked in its prime and also people’s accounts/voices that actually worked there, sharing their memories! It was so intriguing! Do not hesitate going to this museum! It was such a fun and unique experience.
Lynae C — Google review
We had a way better time than we expected. The elevator guided part of the tour was neat, good information. Great views of the falls, river and stone arch bridge from the observation deck. Enjoyed seeing the history and learning a bit about the flour milling process. No complaints and the street parking was simple, paid $5 I think for 2 hours, which was plenty to do the museum.
James M — Google review
Set on the scenic banks of the Mississippi River, Minneapolis’s Mill City Museum is a striking fusion of industrial ruin, architectural innovation, and regional history—and easily one of the most memorable cultural destinations in the Midwest. From the moment you approach the museum, you’re greeted by the towering remains of the Washburn “A” Mill, once the largest flour mill in the world and the beating heart of Minneapolis’s late 19th-century identity as the “Flour Milling Capital of the World.” The iconic “Gold Medal Flour” sign still sits proudly atop the historic grain elevators, a nostalgic beacon linking the city’s modern energy to its industrious past. The structure itself is a work of art: a masterclass in adaptive reuse. The museum integrates preserved stone ruins of the original mill—some walls charred and scarred by past fires and explosions—with sleek glass-and-steel walkways and modern installations. From the outdoor courtyard and the massive glass façade etched with mill schematics, visitors are literally walking through history, surrounded by ghost traces of what once was. Inside, the museum captures the ingenuity and grit of Minneapolis’s industrial age. The preserved machinery, gears, pulleys, and antique steam engines are fascinating in their own right—but they’re made more compelling by thoughtful interpretation. From vintage tractors to flour sifters, each artifact tells a story of labor, technology, and transformation. The immersive exhibits, such as the Flour Tower elevator show (which re-creates the life of the mill), add a dramatic and cinematic dimension to the visit. A particular highlight is the view from the observation deck. It offers sweeping panoramas of the Mississippi River and the Stone Arch Bridge, with its elegant curves and pedestrian-friendly path, linking past to present. It’s a spot that invites reflection—on the river that powered the mills and on the city that rose from them. The museum doesn’t just celebrate machinery—it celebrates people. Exhibits thoughtfully highlight the lives of mill workers, immigrants, and women who shaped the milling industry, making this not just an architectural experience, but a deeply human one. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture lover, or simply looking for a unique and enriching afternoon in Minneapolis, Mill City Museum delivers. It’s a rare place where ruins speak, machines hum stories, and the Mississippi keeps flowing—as it always has—just outside.
Jimmy S — Google review
Fun museum with lots to look at and an amazing viewing deck. The elevator tour was quirky and enjoyable, only running about 10 minutes long, leaving lots of time to explore the rest of the museum. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back!
Willow — Google review
This was a good museum. I especially liked the elevator tour. You travel up and down the building in an elevator to see the different floors and hear stories of what it was like to work in the mill through recordings of actual workers. The view from the top floor is excellent.
Kriste B — Google review
Enjoyed my museum visit here. The flour tower tour was an interesting concept where you get to ride the elevator up and down and learn along the way. Wished the museum offers a little bit more hands on types of things like being able to operate the various equipments to get a taste of how it was like rather than only seeing or reading about it. The view on the observation deck floor is great!
Arwen L — Google review
Very good museum with some wonderful views of the Mississippi River. Be sure to take the elevator to the top for the views. The inside displays explain the history of the area and about the flour powerhouses of their time. Well worth several hours of time to visit.

The Walker Art Center is a renowned venue showcasing contemporary art in various forms, along with a sculpture garden and bistro. While not always free, visitors can take advantage of events like Target Free Thursday Nights and First Free Saturdays for complimentary access to exhibitions, lectures, film screenings, and live performances. The center offers diverse experiences for art enthusiasts and families alike.
We had a great time with the kids today, the staff there was extremely friendly and helpful, especially with the children. They were able to help navigate throughout the museum and were very insightful on the exhibits. The sensory rooms that they have are pretty good for the children that help them to be able to relax in between going to all the different exhibits. They do an amazing job catering to the needs of the kids, especially knowing that a lot of the people coming in there will be coming with families. I was definitely pleased to see that, with working in special education, I definitely know the benefits of the children having that in between all of the walking. The ability to cater to kids drives the interest for children to pursue art. I will definitely be going again sometime soon with the family and would recommend anybody getting out to go see that as well. They also have mini golf as well as the sculpture garden right across the street.
Royce B — Google review
I've been wanting to come to this museum for a while! I went here after a nice brunch in the area, and love every second of it. Beautiful art. Quiet place! If you have EBT you have free entry. There is a parking ramp with a charge of $8. A amazing place and I definitely recommend. Someone took the time to explain the museum to us, and where everything is. Offered our kiddo a pencil and paper to write and color on. Told us about the kid areas around the museum where you can have a quit stop with your kiddo to color. You absolutely cannot touch the art! There was a worker who almost grabbed our kiddo when he touched an art piece, which was the only con. Overall everything was good.

The outdoor sculpture garden is great and completely free. The exhibits at the Walker shift so it feels like a new experience each time. The restaurant Cardamom was excellent!

Walker Art Center: Come for the cherry spoon, stay for the existential dread. So, I went to the Walker Art Center—famous for its bold, weird, and deeply "what am I looking at?" kind of art. And let me just say: mission accomplished. I walked in expecting inspiration. I walked out needing a hug, a snack, and possibly a support group. Most of the exhibits leaned heavily into themes of abuse, sex, or historical atrocities. And while I fully respect the importance of truth-telling through art, I didn’t expect to feel like I was walking through a visual trauma minefield. I wanted to be moved, not emotionally steamrolled. There were a few pieces that did catch my eye—but by the time I saw them, I was too emotionally numb to appreciate them, much less take a photo. Honestly, it felt less like an art experience and more like a dare. "Bet you won’t make it to the end without losing faith in humanity." BUT there was one bright spot—an interactive section where visitors could draw something meaningful and explain why. I loved that! The coloring pencils were so dull you could use them as stress sticks, but I got resourceful and carved some life out of them with my nails (yes, I arted like a gremlin). Then I went home and recreated my doodle digitally, because my soul needed closure. And let’s not forget the real MVP: the outdoor sculptures. The iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry is still amazing. So amazing, in fact, that my boyfriend and I came back a second time before leaving. It’s whimsical, it’s weird, and best of all—it didn’t scream historical despair at me. Would I go back? Maybe… but only on a free night, and only after a pep talk.
Rachel D — Google review
If you are a fan of modern art, the Walker is a must visit, but even if you are not a fan, do yourself the favor and just walk through the outside exhibits. They are always thought provoking and the view of the Basilica and downtown Minneapolis is hard to beat.
Matthew S — Google review
Lovely experience to just walk through the galleries and see some nice art. Spacious, accesible, never felt crowded. Make sure to go on the free Thursday nights for extra bang for your buck!
David M — Google review
Very nice if you are interested in the modern art. Possible to spend time outside as well. I am happy to be able visit there.
Emine C — Google review
The layout is funky and confusing, causing you to double back or otherwise miss some art. Lots of different types of art on display. Some felt very amateur and then you turn the corner and there's a Magritte or Picasso. We were probably there a little over and hour and saw everything without dawdling. Would've been more worth the money if it wasn't so hot out & we could've enjoyed the sculpture park part. The cafe looked popular outside of museum visitors. No food or drinks AT ALL allowed in the galleries.

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is an 11-acre urban park adjacent to the Walker Art Center, showcasing over 40 captivating sculptures from renowned modern artists. One of its most iconic pieces is the giant spoon sculpture, Spoonbridge and Cherry by Claes Oldenburg. The garden offers free tours, outdoor concerts, and educational activities for all ages. Open year-round from dawn until midnight, it provides a unique blend of art and nature with its carefully curated landscape supporting wildlife and plants.
Awesome, (FREE) family friendly way to take in art and culture! The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is the largest urban sculpture garden in the United States! There are so many outstanding, enormous pieces to see. This is an outstanding way to engage and educate your children! Another huge plus is all of the exciting photo opportunities! Great hours, open daily from 6 AM - Midnight. I encourage you to check it out!

Great place to walk, relax, and think. Or, get out of your head if that’s what you need. The garden has a few benches and some great photo opportunities to take advantage of. Follow the path and you can see all the sculptures in 60-90 minutes at a slow walking pace spending a few minutes for each sculpture. Street parking meters are here and you can also get to park in the garage across the street if you drive in. If you journal, this is a great place to think on paper.
Don S — Google review
I had a great time visiting here with my mom and I totally recommend going and making sure you reserve enough time. It is a pleasant walk and a lot to do around it besides the garden. I won’t give any spoilers, but here are a few thoughts I found some artwork pretty amazing, Like the Horse, or Saint Laurence chapel made with recycled material…and some pieces I didn’t understand at all haha. All pieces are decently signed and have cool background information I will risk being publicly lame here, those stones with metal look like tooth with old amalgamated filling lol PS: there are way too many pics of the cherry, i won’t post another one
Jair N — Google review
Beautiful and interesting walk and not crowded on a Thursday morning. I didn't know the Cherry was a fountain and the ducks were, as always, little cuties. Love the blue & yellow Bridge as I've driven under it many times thinking, I gotta get up there! Loved it.
Tricia W — Google review
Had some free time on our trip and wanted to find something free to do in the area. Once we figured out the parking situation (you do have to pay for parking, but it isn't bad), we set off to explore the gardens. Beautiful and fun for all ages!
Sarah A — Google review
We got engaged here on Friday Oct. 17th, 2025 at the bottom of the stairs that come from the blue and yellow bridge. We walked across as boyfriend/girlfriend and crossed back over as a newly engaged couple. We love this place. The sculptures are all fantastic and now we have extra precious memories here forever.
Brittany B — Google review
Over 30 different sculptures at least! A small walking distance with a path that lets you see them all! There is a bridge close by that overlooks the whole park and interstate as well! Has a bike ramp too it too! I definitely recommend this park for a short, or long stop for a beautiful break from the busy city!
Destinee H — Google review
A great way to spend a breezy summer afternoon. Lots of tucked away art work to intrigue as you walked the paths. Lots of opportunities for pictures, to sit, and gaze. Not a lot of noise or traffic. Very enjoyable.

The museum features exhibits on electricity, Ben Franklin, and magnets, showcasing 18th-century gadgets and gizmos introduced at Benjamin Franklin's house parties for scientists. Visitors can also experience a re-creation of Mary Shelley's legendary monster and engage in interactive activities like creating stop-motion movies and virtual art.
Excellent small museum for kids and adults alike, showing several experiments to stimulate kids in STEM areas. We loved the ones with electricity and the history behind it explained. The little ones in our party also enjoyed playing and building with the wooden blocks and the older ones liked the Frankenstein room. Plan at least two hours for your next visit and more if you go during warmer months.

This place truly has something for everyone. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area, and looking for a museum that touches on a number of the sciences. I really enjoyed the gardens and architecture of the site. Maddie at the front desk was super friendly!

My husband CJ & I hosted our wedding here this fall and it was the most perfect day!! Chris & Alice were wonderful to work with, and truly helped bring everything to life for us. All the staff at the Bakken were so kind and helpful. Over two years of planning, I could not have asked for better partners to work through all the details together with. Thank you thank you! <3

We hosted our wedding ceremony at The Bakken Museum this past summer and I could not recommend a venue more. Maggie and Chris were absolutely fantastic to work with- so kind, flexible, and supportive. They paid attention to every detail big and small, were open to some wild ideas we wanted to make happen, and made our dreams come true! Pricing was very reasonable- we got a lot of bang for our buck. The best part is, we were able to support a great organization that contributes to our community! We did an event at this museum. It was fantastic. The staff was amazing to work with. They were accommodating and willing to help to achieve a successful event. Maggie even ran an errand for me. Chris was spectacular to coordinate the arrangement and flow of attendees at my event. I would never hesitate to rebook and event here. Also the caterer was wonderful too. The food was amazing! Please support the arts and the staff!

The Bakken Museum is a treasured venue that sits on a hill overlooking Bde Maka Ska (formerly known as Lake Calhoun). The former West Winds mansion with a slate roof and Gothic architecture was purchased by engineer and inventor Earl Bakken who invented the pacemaker and was a co-founder of Medtronic. The museum appeals to all ages and has fun and educational interactive displays. A favorite display is the Frankenstein Room. There is also a collection of pacemakers from the earliest to the most recent technology. Millions of heart patients around the world have benefitted from pacemakers. My uncle was one of the first recipients; my dad, age 92, has a longer life expectancy because of receiving a pacemaker. The museum doubles as a venue for social events (weddings, anniversaries, company parties, etc). Amenities abound: beautiful gardens with medicinal plants; a koi pond; huge terrace; a leafy gazebo; interior spaces suited for dining and dancing; a view of the lake.

This place is awesome! What a fun little museum tucked away in residential SW Mpls in an old Tudor-style mansion. Our two young boys had a great time running around and learning about electricity and Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. The next day our 5 year old asked if we could go again. Good thing we live nearby!

The Bell Museum, located on the University of Minnesota's Minneapolis campus, is a 92,000 sq. ft museum that offers an exploration of the cosmos through diverse animal dioramas and a planetarium. The museum features a Touch and See Lab with 10,000-year-old fossils and living animals, as well as world-famous wildlife dioramas. It also boasts interactive opportunities with naturalists and interpreters to bring its collections to life.
What a phenomenal place to spend time on a cold snowy day with two young men on Spring break. The boys were entranced with all the exhibits. It’s very thoughtfully done and is self guided. We come here often. Don’t miss the live exhibit of amphibians and the planetarium show.

I really enjoyed this museum. There’s an entry fee, so you might want to buy your ticket online ahead of time to save some time. The parking lot is small. When we arrived, there weren’t any spots available, so we had to park a bit down the street in front of a big field and walk to the museum. There are lots of exhibits, but I think the mammoth is the star of the show. It was interesting to see what beavers used to look like; they looked like giant rats to me, lol.

So glad I stopped in to explore the Bell Museum during my travels on Friday morning. My first visit at its new location on the edge of the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus that opened in July of 2018 (I know, better late than never). The exhibits are quite exceptional. With its relocation from Minneapolis, the museum was expanded significantly to include a planetarium, education wing, and touch & see lab. The landscaping was also upgraded with sustainable native plants, a geology area, and a solar station. The best part was watching the staff and volunteers in action sharing their knowledge with excited kids who showed up with parents, grandparents and school teachers. Made me smile big time. “If you have knowledge, let others light their candles to it.” ~ Margaret Fuller

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Bell Museum and can't recommend it as a venue enough! The Bell is a beautiful location that has proved to be a picturesque location for capturing our event in photos, the staff are all kind courteous and professional, and our guests were obsessed with over how cool of a venue it was for a wedding. Laura and Korra were exceptionally helpful when it came to planning and hosting the event. Laura walked us through the process of planning step-by-step so that when the big day came it ran exactly to plan and we had zero issues whatsoever. Korra provided excellent day of support and was helpful in answering all of our questions as the event unfolded. If you are planning a wedding or event that involves children as guests, or adults who just want to have something fun to do between the festivities, we can't recommend the Bell Museum enough. You will have zero regrets, and your guests will rave over the fun and inviting venue.

Great natural history museum! The exhibits were awesome to see. I especially enjoyed the fossils and collections in the Touch & See Lab and their wildlife dioramas upstairs. I really loved that many exhibits focused on Minnesota's natural history—it’s always great to learn more about our state. On top of their other exhibits, the Bell Museum features a planetarium where they play educational shows throughout the day. We saw the “Supervolcanoes” show during our visit and it was really neat to watch on the domed screen. The building itself is also very interesting architecturally and fun to be in. I enjoyed the museum as an adult but I'm sure this would also be a fun trip for families—in particular, I'm sure kids would get a kick out of the animals and digital microscopes in the Touch & See Lab. Overall, I definitely recommend paying a visit to the Bell Museum!

Bell Museum is a pretty chill spot! definitely underrated! If you’re into nature, space, or just cool stuff in general, you’ll vibe with this place. They’ve got neat exhibits about Minnesota wildlife, plus a sweet planetarium that’s honestly mind-blowing. Staff’s friendly and laid-back, happy to nerd out with you if you’re curious. Bonus points for being Insta-worthy—tons of photo ops here. It’s not massive, so it’s perfect for a casual visit without overwhelming you. Parking’s usually easy, too. Totally worth checking out, especially if you’re bored of typical museum vibes. I went there when there was an October star party, we looked through high-powered telescopes at astronomical objects (I saw comets and Venus!) Will update my review later when I back to visit the Museum again!

The Weisman Art Museum, designed by the renowned architect Frank O. Gehry, is a modern stainless steel and brick building located near the Mississippi River on the University of Minnesota campus. The museum's stunning exterior often draws attention from visitors due to its unique design, especially at sunset. Inside, it houses a diverse collection of over 25,000 works of art including American and contemporary paintings, ceramics, Korean furniture, and special exhibitions throughout the year.
This museum is a gem. Architecture is best seen from the river front entrance as far as I can tell. Appreciated the diversity of exhibits heavy (incarceration/partition) to laughter. I am visiting and it was a worthy reprieve between conference sessions. And a fun walk across the bridge back to downtown. It’s free too. My visit was Saturday at lunch time. There’s a space to just sit in a space with lots of light so a good rest spot too.

This is a bit of a hidden gem of a museum that ois on the UMinn campus. It is FREE, for one thing! It has a really fun facade that makes it one of more unique buildings in the Cities and certainly on campus. There is a fun Cities concept exhibit that talks about you can think of different City concepts than the norm, and it has an interesting sky way map in the downtown Minneapolis. A variety of classic and modern-ish art displays. A great reason Togo to campus and then explore a very beautiful campus as well!
Don D — Google review
PROS: Worthy and relevant example of great contemporary architecture. Fine urban relations to be explored and discovered. CONS: limited visit hours. Extremely difficult to observe from the surrounding, largely due to the U. of Minnesota’s public access restrictions to its buildings across the bridge on the opposite side of the Mississippi River.

Phenomenal Art Museum!!! Much of the Art is from various cultures. Very diversified Museum!! Much needed in the USA. Credit University of Minnesota to have it on their campus. The building itself....the architecture is beyond your imagination. Yes... I said Beyond! Stainless Steel & glimmering beauty along the banks of the Mississippi River. Did I mention it was free? If in Minneapolis, A must visit at the U of M.

I'm honestly not much of an art museum fan. But I do enjoy unusual architecture and this building piqued my interest. Plus, it is free admission. There were a few exhibits/pieces that I found interesting. The location is also nice for some photos being by the river and a pedestrian bridge. I didn't stay too long so street parking was good enough for me.

Children's store
The Wild Rumpus is a children's book store with a wide variety of titles for all ages. It's often named one of the best in the Twin Cities, and is a favorite place to find gifts for kids.
Very well organized children’s bookstore featuring everything including board books, picture books, graphic novels, various series and even small young adult and adult sections so there is something for everyone! Helpful and friendly staff. There is also some nice food, coffee/tea, boutique and toy stores in the neighborhood so you and can spend the afternoon exploring!

Such a gorgeous and wonderful shopping experience. Bookstore is mainly geared towards younger and teen readers, but they definitely have a lot of options across (and beyond the spectrum). The store's decorations are so ridiculously cool with a ceiling decorated to look like cracked ice, a magical bathroom, and a haunted looking shed. Truly perfect. Thank you for existing, Wild Rumpus.

The only down side to this lovely little bookstore is the parking. My 10 year old granddaughter and 3 year old great niece both enjoyed it equally. Booker T. Jones, the Wild Rumpus cat, was a huge hit!

A visual feast! Aimed at kids of all ages, but every nook, cranny, and corner of Wild Rumpus is so loaded with art, animals, and CHARACTER that adults should stop in for a look too. There is a mounted fox head (crocheted), a canoe riding the ceiling river rapids, a spooky shack for the young witches and wizards, animals to pet, animals to watch, puppets to excite the imagination, themed sections to help kids find more in their special interests, and the entry contained a door-within-a-door! Talk about a surefire winner with the younger crowd! The adult section was smaller, but based on the books in it I have read it was wonderfully curated to the point I felt comfortable picking one at random. As a reader I also want to draw special attention to the fact they had a section specifically for organizing all books in popular series, so kids can easily find book 7 of 9 in their favorite series (or whatever their collection might be missing).

Can Can Wonderland in St. Paul is a unique entertainment destination located in the downtown art district of Minneapolis. Housed in a historic building that was once an American canning company, it offers indoor mini-golf, vintage arcade games, and a bar & eatery. The venue features the best selection of vintage pinball machines in town, as well as bubble hockey and Skee-Ball. In addition to gaming, visitors can enjoy live shows and delicious food.
A wonderful adventurous place. Parking can be a little tricky but they have the best arcade I have ever been to. Like $16 on the weekend and you can play all day. Mini golf was unique and fun but would probably just do it the one time. Still worth the trip for the kids, perfect date night or a day to kill. They have awesome looking adult drinks, food and fancy milk shakes and live music. I loved and appreciated time forgot vintage boardwalk style board games from the 20's to the like 80's. Only complaint was interactions with stuff was meh. They solved problems but they weren't rude but not real friendly. I had some questions about how it all worked with everything and on getting soda cups and they were kinda like what eves. I guess they tired of explaining lol.

Great fun for all ages. Lots of retro pinball and arcade games that will take you back to simpler days. Good food, nice selection of adult beverages. The mini golf looked fun we didn't get to it. The karaoke 🎤 kept us entertained 🤣 and had fun. There were some great singers there. Shout out to one young girl who was amazing 👏 so was her mom.

Dear Silly Miss Tilly, Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the breathtaking karaoke show you run. My two daughters and I have been coming out as much as possible and it’s been more than great—it’s been transformative. Since they started singing with you, their voices have grown stronger and clearer, but more importantly, their confidence has soared. What you’ve created is so much more than music—it’s a space where joy, courage, and self-expression come alive. We’re so grateful to be part of it. With hearts full of gratitude and admiration- Thank you! Can Can Wonderland would not be the same without you! We are so so lucky to share space with you!!!!
Matty K — Google review
Neat place, but you have to pay the gaming fee ($16) to be able to do the mini golf ($15). Golf was a great experience, loved the artistic recycling concept, it was very creative and I'll look forward to sharing the experience with others! Get your unlimited drink early in the day, they shut off the machine 1/2 hr before closing, but the bartender was nice enough to give me a refill. Free parking in the ramp is a nice added feature!
DIY B — Google review
One of the most fascinating, endearing yet peculiar establishments I've ever seen. It's like stepping into an arcade in Seattle 20 years ago. If you have even a shred of personality this place is worth checking out. The pricing is really fair to get in - $16. P.s. you can pour your own beer for around 60cents/oz.
Benjamin B — Google review
Love their craft beer idea, pay by the ounce so you can try many different flavors without going broke. The place is huge, the old games bring back memories and there is a tech that comes out immediately to repair them if need be. Fun for adults and kids. It is awesome that they re-purposed the can making facility, hence the name, into a must see game/beer establishment.
Laurie Y — Google review
Can Can has a great vibe and a lot of fun things to do. My family goes to Can Can every Friday for All-ages karaoke with Silly Miss Tilly. The platform she gives allows children to shine doing what they love but also that it’s all-ages so anyone can sing. She joins in on the fun whenever asked and the kids LOVE the support she gives. Silly Miss Tilly shows are always packed and people playing games often listen and cheer. Silly Miss Tilly is the prominent reason we go there! We would only go to Can Can every few months if we didn’t have Tilly!
AmberLee A — Google review
This place is a lot of fun. The only reason I took off a star is because you have to pay for entrance and some games are additional, such as the karaoke car and mini golf (which seems a little unreasonable if you already paid for entrance). I also think they should get Down the Clown because that’s a classic game. Other than that, they have things for people of all ages! They have rides for very small children and they sell alcohol. They also have food you can get (pizza, cheese curds, burgers, malts, pop corn, cotton candy).

Even if you're not there during baseball season, you can still visit the plaza and amphitheater without buying a ticket. Additionally, various restaurants have created attractive patio spaces from old warehouses around the stadium.
Awesome stadium! We went to see the Cubs play the Twins here and man the Cubs got destroyed, 8-1. The seating was comfortable. Lots of security retesting the place, but the entrance was really easy with just metal detectors. All the staff we ran into was super nice and helpful. Lots of concessions to choose from too! Great view of downtown from our seats.

Always a great experience! There’s a fantastic variety of food options and plenty of bars, making it the perfect place to meet up and catch up with friends. Parking is convenient with Ramps A, B, and C just a short walk away. Entry and exit are smooth thanks to the multiple gates, so lines never feel overwhelming. One of my favorite spots is the Truly On Deck bar. It has a spacious indoor area with plenty of seating available when you purchase food or drinks—great atmosphere and views!

I was at the field for the Blue Jays games. The concourse was very wide and plenty of room to walk and get to concessions. The seats varied on where you had tickets. There is plenty of room for the knees. All staff were very congenial and had great knowledge of the ball park. The field looked immaculate. Hats off to the grounds crew. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but we got through it. I found the prices at the concession stands to be a little on the expensive side and deterred me from eating what I wanted. But I found bare hot dogs for $3.99, which is good, but that's about it. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and would return. The Jay's won the 3 game series, by the way.

Such a cool adventure for the kids!!! We got them a wrist band for the day but they also have other options to choose from for kid's to ride rides, not everything is included and some of the rides state that socks are mandatory. We think prices are worth it. The kids had so much fun! No lines so no waiting to get on rides.

How awesome to have an indoor theme park INSIDE a mall. We had a blast at the Mall of America - Nickelodeon Universe! There are enough rides and attractions for your family to be entertained the entire day. You do not need to pay to enter. I’m glad that I purchased when I arrived, as my husband had no interest in riding anything. Nickelodeon Universe will not disappoint!

There are so much fun for the families, groups, dates. They offered to host large group parties after hours. We enjoyed our annual passes.

To start off, the place looks clean and well themed, but understaffed. Perhaps because it's the off-season during a weekday. I mostly came to get a few roller coasters in, but Rock Bottom Plunge was closed, along with a few unique flat rides. It felt like the place was running on a skeleton crew. Perhaps it's better to try it on a weekend. I did like their automated wristband system.

The kids and I had a great time. Although, the rides are far to expensive! Kids had a lot of fun though, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Make it more reasonable, and more fun for the Littles and I'm pretty sure it would be amazing.

Fun and unique experience. The prices are reasonable. 50 for unlimited per person or you can buy points. The Big rides are 6 points and small rides 3. We bought 50 points for 60(after tax) and the kids went on several rides having a ton of fun. Super convenient, since there is a mall with dozens of food and snack options in walking distance.

Took the kids; they had a blast and even got the wife on some rides! The place was super fun for my 9-year-old and 12-year-old. They are both 58 inches (don't ask) tall and could ride all the rides. The only drawback was that it does get busy, which isn't the park's fault, but we did have to go back a second day to finish all the rides.

Amazing! You’d never know this building was such a gem inside. Definitely worth a visit. The detailed carved woodwork is phenomenal throughout the entire home. The fireplaces & numerous ceramic stoves were breathtaking. Even the pantry was admirable. We also enjoyed learning about the MSP Swedish community in the 1800s -early 1900s, including the nursing school exhibit. The Institute also offers educational & research materials of Swedish culture. There is a sweet children’s play area and lovely gift shop. Available for small weddings and events. Very surprising the original owners who had the mansion built, did not live in the house long, but their lives were dedicated to supporting the Swedish community in the region…& with their home, for years to come!

An absolutely beautiful place to visit! The Turnblad Mansion is stunning, every room reflects rich Swedish heritage and craftsmanship. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, and our tour guide, Cathy, was amazing — engaging, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more memorable.

Visited on 7.1.2025. BRAVO and KUDOS to Michela and Jennifer for proving me with a Spectacular experience while touring the interior rooms of the mansion. There are not enough words to describe how stunning this place is and no picture can capture the magnitude of the beauty of it. Highly Recommend to anyone traveling through Minneapolis!

My fiance and I had both come here to experience the rich culture that the museum had to offer. The mansion was incredible to explore. The staff is extremely friendly as well. We had an amazing time exploring and learning about the art, culture, and variety of rooms that there were. The music that is weaved into the history there was nice too. They had two beautiful pianos there to see, though you can't play them without advanced permission, so if you'd like to preform do contact them ahead of time. We did have an odd experience in the top floor where the uniforms are displayed next to a wooden sculpture. My fiance sings opera. when she sang some of the songs that were used for the women there, one song in particular. I noticed a white mist in the hallway that seemed to zip by twice. Unless they have a fire alarm or something installed up there, and someone was smoking a vape, or a candle was going. I'm also sure we were the only ones on the top floor at the time. I also noticed while she was reading the sheet music and singing along to a track, that the uniforms moved in the case. I'm not sure if they have a device that makes it do that, but it did move. Wasn't creepy, it was like someone had come to listen. All in all though an amazing experience, highly recommended.

Such a beautiful place and rich with history. The four stars is because some of the staff are over the top political and overbearing as you tour the house. Also, one tour guides kept making fun of Downton Abbey and all those who like the show, explaining that this house was nothing like Downton Abbey and he was tired of the comparisons. Amazing how one person can just take everything down a notch. The play area on the lower level is amazing for kids and you have to visit the Norse Saga room!!

The store features seven unique flavors of ice cream, all of which are variations on classic desserts. The Nicollet Avenue Pothole is the store's most popular flavor, and it remains one even in the depths of winter.
I have loved my experience here at Sebastian Joe’s every single time. When I called to inquire about buy an ice cream cake, the employees were very helpful and informative. I loved the positive energy they all had. Their ice cream and ice cream cakes are delish!

Awesome ice cream treats; not cheap but worth the self indulgence. Don’t miss their made in house cookie 🍪 ice cream sandwiches and the CHOCO TACO which are all made in house & ready to go 👍!

Sebastian Joe's was an impromptu stop on our trip when the mood for ice cream hit. And if you are reading this, forget impromptu and make this part of your plans! We had a few different flavors and each one was beautifully crafted to satisfy our tastes buds. Peanut butter, toasted coconut, almond and blueberry. It's a cute shop with friendly staff and other offerings as well, which includes coffee and other baked goods. So do your taste buds a favor and visit Sebastian Joe's. Enjoy!!

$75 a pound or something like that. The ice cream is OK but it’s not worth that high price frankly. $5.75 for a single scoop. I saw a family getting free samples with their kids and taking them home 🤣🤣🤣There are not many flavors and the ice scream is like Kemp’s. Not even like La Michoacána. At least the Mexican flavored ice cream you can taste it. This you can’t really. Use your imagination for the rest.

The pineapple ice cream shake was really bitter for some reason. I'm not sure what happened there. Otherwise, everything else seemed really great! Great selection and friendly staff

What a Gem joint for Ice cream. I try the Lemon Sorbet and was delicious. Exactly the way should be, a fresh and natural flavor. My daughter try the Oreo ice cream and was also very good, a lot of cookies inside. Price higher than a Dairy Quuen, but you will not get the flavors than you will find here.

Historic Fort Snelling is a significant National Historic Landmark that dates back to 1819. It played a crucial role in the founding of St. Paul and was strategically located at the confluence of the Mississippi River and the Minnesota River. The fort features well-preserved bulwarks and palisades, offering insights into Minnesota's military history from pre-Civil War to World Wars I and II, as well as its involvement in fur and slave trade.
So nice to have people in some of the buildings explaining what life was like at the fort. They were very knowledgeable and you could tell they loved what they do. The museum was nice. Lots of reading and some places to sit and listen to short presentations. Upstairs there was a 16 minute film. You will learn more about the Dakota Indians and what happened to them. Take time to learn about Dred and Harriet Scott. A very important part of history. Veterans are free!

Fort Snelling State Park is an interesting spot if you happen to be in the Twin Cities. Tucked away near the rivers, it offers a chance to step out of the city chaos and into nature for a walk or hike. You’ll find peaceful trails, wildlife, and a unique setting where history and nature meet. While there’s no camping within this park, other state parks and campgrounds are close by, making it a nice day stop if you’re exploring the area.

July 2 2025 Beautiful day to learn about history. Barely anyone else there. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and compassionate. The golf cart ride from the visitor center to the historic building very much appreciated, definitely helped us save our energy to be able to walk around in the heat and the drivers were great conversationalist. We didn’t have to wait in any lines or for anything. Easy breezey visit.

Honestly it doesn’t look as pretty as the pictures I saw before. The bushes in the surrounding are high and doesn’t seem to be well taken care. I come on Wednesday when Google said open but it was actually closed. It’s really hard to see the beauty & the story when you can’t get inside

Interesting place, historic fort. There are countless miles of gorgeous hiking & biking trails.
Kevin J — Google review
I used to come here as a kid on school field trips and thought it was okay, but coming back as an adult was fascinating! Did you know there were slaves here? Neither did I, this area was part of the Union and slavery was illegal. Dred Scott lived at this fort and you can even see his room and get a history lesson on his life and the decision that bears his name. The views of the river are wonderful and there is a fabulous visitor center that offers up a lot of history on the area. This is a must see stop if you love history.

Lake Harriet Bandshell Park is a picturesque setting nestled in the heart of Minneapolis, offering biking and walking trails, water activities, and a castle-inspired band shell. The bandshell has been hosting concerts since 1883 and is a popular spot for professional portraits due to its large soft box-like structure. The park's natural beauty makes it a sought-after location for engagement and family photos, with charming lakeside paths, docks, blooming gardens, and stunning sunset lighting.
Nice place to have a relaxed walk or picnic. ❗️Lots of bugs and mosquitoes so be aware. Cheap parking lot.

I had such a good time at a free yoga class here. Starting the day with a view of the sail boats in the lake was just wonderful. Grabbed an iced coffee and delicious scone at Bread and Pickle afterwards. That night I went to see a free concert in the bandshell. They were great and some people got up and danced. Having never been there before these were both such fun events and I’ll be back for more. The free yoga is 6:30am M-F, 8:00am S-S. The concerts are all free as well. It’s dog friendly and you can grab a yummy bite at Bread and Pickle. You can also take a cooler if you like. Parking can get busy so maybe so show a little early or ride your bike if that’s an option. There is a paid parking lot and street parking.

As a single mom I try finding activities in the area that won't break the bank. Today we found a neat trolley ride it was a 15 min ride they tell you great stories about where and when the train ran back in the 40's and 50's. This was entertaining for the kids and I for only 3.00 bucks a person.

Love the all-volunteer Como-Harriet Streetcar Line and the joy and creativity they bring to the city, Lake Harriet and Linden Hills neighborhood, no matter the season. Thanks to all the motormen, building/grounds and track crews who lovingly maintain and improve this classic streetcar line. No small feat!

Memory lane! Minneapolis in the late 1890’s and the early 1900’s. The original street car. You can go from Lake Harriet to Lake Calhoun. Very easy to see how can companies ruined the city for selling cars and making public transportation literally go out of business.

What a great little ride. It last for about 7 minutes one way and 5 the other way. It was only $3 per person! The trolley leaves every 15-20 minutes so don’t stress if you miss it. There are no scheduled times the train leaves. It’s a quick comfortable trip. Have fun! All aboard!

Located in downtown Minneapolis, Target Center is a versatile arena that underwent a $140 million renovation in 2017. It is home to the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves and the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx, both of which have achieved significant success. The venue hosts over 1,000,000 guests annually and attracts renowned touring artists, family shows, and major sporting events.
I’ve been to a LOT of basketball games & concerts. I’ve seen the Wolves, Lynx, & a few concerts. Always an enjoyable experience I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house. Great venue for sports & music events. Definitely worth a visit if you ever get the chance.
Isaiah W — Google review
It was super difficult to find our seats. When we got to our section, I asked the man working that section how to get to our seats. He directed me wrong. We climbed the steep stairs to find out it was the wrong section. Went back down and climbed the next set of steep stairs to find our seats. Tickets were expensive($86x2 for nosebleeds). Parking was expensive ($45). Merch was expensive($45 for a t-shirt). Drinks were INSANE ($18 for a bottle of water and a bottle of coke). But the experience was unforgettable!

This was a much better experience than previously. The sound and seats were great. Beverages and food slightly high priced. They were well staffed if you needed assistance finding anything. Very nice and helpful. Will definitely go back to this facility.

We saw Sleep Token here and the show was ASTOUNDING but security confiscated someone’s Flamingo outfit for the show with no real explanation. The outfit wasn’t dangerous or disrespectful and the fans all loved it. I’m all for venues being diligent in security checks but a flamingo costume? Lol. Overall - I would probably not choose to visit the venue again unless necessary.

We went to see Pantera. After seeing them last time at the BankOne stadium I wasn't expecting very good acoustics. I was pleasantly surprised. All three bands sounded amazing we could see everything. Staff was helpful and friendly. We had a blast. Will return!

Beautiful stadium! Thoughtfully designed and good facilities. We'd been here for concerts but this was our first game. Wide variety of food options and beverages. Not always easy on the wallet but there are budget finds if you look for them. Very pleased that the water bottles have caps with only one type of plastic, so the entire bottle is recyclable - doesn't mean it gets recycled, but it's a step in the right direction! Would love to see even more commitment to reducing single-use plastics, and did appreciate the food trays are paper and compostable.

The venue is very nice! The AC works killer from where I sat. Parking was a cinch. Signage was excellent. Everyone at the venue was able to answer all of my questions. Paradise Charter Cruises & Minneapolis Queen offers public and private cocktail, dinner, and sightseeing cruises along the Mississippi River. The 90-minute trips provide panoramic views of downtown Minneapolis, suburban foliage, and architecture. The Minneapolis Queen is a must-visit for a traditional river cruise experience with happy hour pizza, sightseeing, and guided tours. While evening wine cruises cater to adults, day tours are recommended for families with kids.
Such a Great Experience! We had an amazing time on the Friday Night Dinner Cruise aboard the Minneapolis Queen! From the moment we stepped on board, the crew was friendly and welcoming, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The boat itself was super clean and well-kept, which made the experience even better. It was so relaxing cruising down the Mississippi River, taking in the views of the Minneapolis skyline while enjoying a great meal. Speaking of the food—it was fantastic! The appetizers were a great start, the stuffed chicken and beef tenderloin were both cooked perfectly, and the petite desserts were the perfect little sweet bite to finish it off. Booking was really easy, and everything was well-organized from start to finish. If you’re looking for a fun and unique night out, I highly recommend this cruise. We’ll definitely be back!

Did the pizza night cruise for date night. Plenty of PAID parking, located near park, trails, and volleyball courts, and the area is full of insects. The boat ride was smooth, no motion sickness happening. The ride was decent, not much to look at. The river always looks dirty because it has been, comes with a smell at some point during the trip. The sky was beautiful on this day with the perfect temperature and slight breeze. Plenty of seating for the size of boat, as long as not at capacity. Keep interior design, watch your step! I got rocked walking into cabin downstairs. Served up lukewarm Papa John’s pizza and salad. Had a decent amount for people to help themselves. Wasn’t feeling it myself. No chef mic at least? The drinks were drinks, taxin. Didn’t see anywhere that said you couldn’t BYOB 😶‍🌫️ The trip was aight, would I do it again…if someone invites me. Not a bad experience to have once in your life.

On August 4, 2025, our group participated in the Mississippi Queen Margarita Fiesta Cruise and found it to be an excellent experience. The crew was courteous and attentive throughout the trip. The captain shared insightful historical information about the various landmarks along the route, making the journey both engaging and educational. The vessel offers sufficient space for guests to move comfortably while still maintaining an intimate setting. Parking was readily available at the nearby city lot. Mall of America® is a colossal four-level shopping center featuring an extensive array of over 520 stores and around 50 dining options. The complex also includes attractions such as an aquarium, amusement park, and cinema. With so much to explore, visitors may find it challenging to cover everything in just one afternoon. To make the most of the experience, it's advisable for first-time guests to plan their visit in advance.
One word for first time visitors… Overwhelming! But the directory stations are very helpful to search for what you want. If you bring kids, the Lego Store and aquarium are must visits. The food court is vast and you have many choices with different types of food. Parking garage has 7 levels with clearly marked signage to find your way around. We spent 6 hours at the mall on a weekend and only covered 60% of what we wanted to do. I recommend searching stores and activities BEFORE visiting to save you time. Give yourself time to take it all in at certain spots. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
Don S — Google review
This was a really cool place to visit. I came here for work. Worked hard then played harder. The Mall of America is a clean mall the people walking around are friendly. There is non stop shopping and eating. Multi levels. There are repeating stores or places to eat. The architecture of the building is very gorgeous inside, giving it a clean perspective. I had 0 issues with parking both days I visited. I did not get to try everything. There are giant Lego statues that add to the experience of the visit. An aquarium at the very bottom that is affordable and fun for family, friends, or co workers. There are nice restaurants at the top floor. A place where you can almost feel at home. The information tablets were not my favorite I do with there was a map we could look at. Nickelodeon world was also very cool to see and my kids would have loved every moment and rode every ride. This mall even has a Toys R Us, for most of us growing up. It was ripped away. I will be visiting this location again in the future.
Robert C — Google review
I finally was able to check Mall of America off my bucket list. It definitely has a bunch of stores but I Loved the amusement park inside it also had a train and aquarium but we ran out of time to do. I dont like that even on weekends the mall closes at 9pm each day. Why not 10 or 11 with it being such a huge mall. Nevertheless I had a wonderful time I stayed at Radisson Blu which is connected to the mall and highly recommend cause it made the trip that much more easy and fun knowing we can just go to our room and back to the mall as we pleased. I think the best part was the mall off shuttles you to the Mystic Casino for free and we had a blast at the Casino.

I don't particularly like shopping centers, so this one was a surprise for me. I have only seen a smaller part of it but what I saw I absolutely loved. The inside Nickelodeon theme park is awesome, so is the Lego store. The Radisson Blu entrance looked really elegant, and there are so many things to see beside the shops. One of my favourite experiences in Minneapolis.

This choice is truly an experience and well worth a visit. Not only because of the extensive entertainment program in the amusement park, but also because of the large selection of excellent shops. What I found particularly positive was the wide range of restaurants. You can easily spend hours here.

OK, what can I say that can possibly be any different than any other review?. but I'm going to tell you from my perspective. This is a great place. It's not only huge, but it's aesthetically pleasing. There was security and police presence that made you feel safe. It was very clean and looking at all the things for kids was awesome. I can't wait to come back to visit again and Shop. There are multiple stores for all types.. We went to a few different restaurants. Everything was good. they also had a variety of stores with games Legos, escape room, puzzles, the list is so long, but those are just a few.

Known for its epic 35-foot bloody mary bar and delectable small-batch peanut butter, Hell's Kitchen has garnered a cult following. Visitors can even take home some of their famous Bloody Mary Mix and peanut butter.
Absolutely great place to go in Minneapolis. $5 parking garage on weekends. We went here for the bloody Mary bar and breakfast. Build your own so perfect the way you like them. So many options of mixes, 243 hot sauces, pickled items and meat and cheese options. We're so glad they reopened this since it's one of my favorites I've ever had. Reasonable price for basically a drink and meal. We enjoyed deviled eggs and cheese curds for an appetizer. Both really good and fresh. We were so full that we had to split our breakfast 🥞. We had 2 of our personal favorites with lemon ricotta pancakes and huevo rancheros. Tons of flavors in both dishes. The pancakes are fluffy and sweet while the huevo rancheros is salty, gritty packed with many flavors at the same time! We try to visit several times a year and never disappointed with anything we order. Thank you Hell's Kitchen for top notch everything.

Was visiting MSP for the weekend and was headed to another spot and decided to stop in for lunch. and it was a pleasant experience The place had a cozy, rustic charm with warm lighting and quiet ambiance. I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes and Huevos Rancheros "Of The Gods on a whim, and it was the kind of dishes that makes you pause mid-bite, comfort food elevated. Also had a mocktail, which was peach ginger ale. (Can’t remember exactly but it was delicious” The service was relaxed but attentive, with a waiter who seemed genuinely happy to talk about the menu without sounding rehearsed. I would give it another try, as there was a stage for a band, so worth checking out. It wasn’t planned, it wasn’t fancy—but it ended up being one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a while. Sometimes, the best places are the ones you never meant to find.

Hell's Kitchen was the perfect Anniversary choice for a fun, eclectic atmosphere with excellent food and stellar service. Our server Reagan made sure we had the best dining experience and even let us into a closed part of the restaurant to see the artwork. They gave us a free dessert and we bought some great merch and took loads of pictures! Best dining experience ever! The pear/ham sandwich was divine!

Mohnomin Wild Rice Porridge is the reason I fell in love with Hell's Kitchen when I was here a decade ago. It is my dream breakfast and the Hell's Kitchen still delivers. It is simple, unique, and oh so good. The perfect combination of hearty and creamy. I returned for dinner and had the Bison Quesabirra Tacos. Meaty and cheesy in a grilled taco shell. It comes with a dipping sauce that brings in incredibly deep flavors. Like the juice from the richest pot roast you've ever had. House tortilla chips accompanied the tacos. The salsa verde knocked my socks off. It is processed until smooth and creamy. Awesome heat, to the point of making me think it might be cilantro chutney inspired. The heat lingers which complimented the tacos. It also comes with a lovely cheese dip. I picked up the cookbook when I was here for breakfast and the description of the pecan roll made it clear I had to try it before attempting to replicate it at home. It is light, fluffy, and covered in a blond caramel sauce and toasted pecans. The only way to elevate this further would be to add a drop of bourbon into the caramel (not too much because the blond butter caramel and toasted pecans still need to shine). They have a well-stocked bar, a good selection of beer on tap and very knowledgeable staff.

We stop here every time we’re in town for brunch! They have live music on the weekends and I am obsessed with the build your ow Bloody Marys. Our waitress was hands down the sweetest and most accommodating person even for our large party of 9. I loved the corned hash and the huevos rancheros. We left stuffed and happy. Such a cool fun experience.

We had our wedding reception at Hell's Kitchen and it was perfect! Our lead coordinator for the evening was Brandon and he was absolutely amazing! He made the evening seamless and so joyful! The food was awesome as everyone complimented how wonderful it was. Jolene was great to work with in deciding our menu and helping us decide the best space for us. We would recommend Hell's Kitchen to everyone! We absolutely loved it!

Was going to go to a comfort food place down the street but it had a long wait so I walked a bit farther and found this massive place in the underground level of a nearby building. LUCKY BREAK for me! This place is full of character and would be a regular haunt for me if I lived in Minneapolis. Memorable decor. Friendly welcome. Great service. Excellent and interesting food. A live jazz band on a Saturday morning for brunch. Will come again and bring friends!

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory is a must-visit attraction located near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Saint Paul. The site features the stunning Marjorie McNeely Conservatory, an Art Nouveau structure housing bonsai trees and sansui gardens. Surrounding the conservatory are manicured gardens with elegant bridges and sculptures of animals like giraffes, penguins, and wolves.
We enjoyed our visit. It can get busy with school groups & camps, but we were still able to find decently close parking & were able to enjoy an afternoon of seeing animals. Highly recommend catching a Sparky show and checking out the unique gift shop finds. The gardens are lovely to visit as well.

Open to the public... no admission ticket is required, but a small donation is encouraged. Accessible to all abilities. Fun for all ages. Lots of animals as you would expect for a zoo, some more active than others. Make sure to check out the (Sparky) the sea lion show. Check show times when you arrive. Have fun and drink plenty of water.

Excellent family outing! Como Zoo is a wonderful place to spend the day while learning about various animals. The zoo offers scheduled feedings and shows that are absolutely worth watching, adding fun and educational value to the visit. The animals appear to be well cared for, and the overall experience is both enjoyable and meaningful. Highly recommended for families!

Despite the humidity it was awesome! The combination of plants and animals makes you feel like you are in the forest or at times a jungle! The lily pad and Japanese collection were my favorites. It was also cool to see fruit trees from different countries with the branches bearing fruit. I was surprised by the number of spices they had in their native forms too. Hands down, one of the best FREE conservatories I've visted.

This is 1 of my favorite places in all of Mni Sota. I’ve visited this zoo since I was a young child. They have a plethora of inside gardens & a beautiful indoor rainforest exhibit. The outside is teeming with creatures from all over the world. Don’t forget to check out the Japanese Garden too. They have made a number of renovations in recent years & that has really spruced up the experience. Chief of these is the Sea Lion area where they put on daily shows. It’s pretty state of the art now. Did I mention it’s entirely free to the public. If you’ve never been check it out & if it’s been awhile it’s definitely worth revisiting.

Absolutely, it's a beautiful place. If you haven't been there in a while, I suggest that you go back. They've made a ton of updates that make the place look and feel more restored and renewed. It's definitely a place that I need to go to again, and very soon. The fact that you're able to talk to the workers there and that they're very helpful and kind was amazing as well. It's very family-oriented, and it was just an all-out blast.
Alexis R — Google review
The fact that there is no admission fee makes this my GO TO ZOO. I suggest getting there as close to opening as possible to get stress free, nearby parking. But there are lots and street parking all around! I visit como with my 3 year old and it checks all the boxes. Cool plants, some animals, a sparky sea lion show of the PERFECT length for short attention spans. You can bring your own snacks (the consession options are expensive but hey you got in for free so I believe in purchasing from them for support) all in all a great zoo and beautiful conservatory. My kiddo loves it. Perfect family outing:)

I recommend this place to anybody- what an amazing experience. Their conservatory is well taken care of and so stunning to walk through. It is a huge place that you can easily spend hours at. SEA LIFE at Mall of America is a family-friendly aquarium featuring a variety of sea creatures and play areas. Located in Bloomington, Minnesota, it offers an incredible experience with over 4,500 animals in 1.3 million gallons of water. Visitors can find discounted admission coupons for SEA LIFE and other attractions at the mall information desk or kiosk. Additionally, they can explore hotel rates, getaway packages, and bundled attraction passes for a complete trip to the area.
Amazing experience! It's really great value and honestly one of the cleanest aquariums i have ever visited. The water is pristine, and all of the aquatic life is clearly visible. Really enjoyed the experience and would most assuredly come back again if I'm ever in Minnesota in the future.

We went there last weekend and it was pretty fun. The best part was walking through the tunnel and seeing all the water life above you around you. The kids loved it! I think the only downside was the ending where you could touch the things in the water.... all of the starfish were on one side so none of the kids could touch them. The worker gave everyone in option to touch a dried out starfish. Just not the same. So if it's ever possible can you add more things for the kids to touch? Otherwise it was fun 😀

I absolutely love aquariums. Sea Life at Mall of America did not disappoint! Its not real big but thats ok. Its in a mall that has a billion other things to do so the size was just right. It was beautiful and well done. We were most fascinated by the tree frogs for some reason. The aquarium tunnel was so cool with sharks and other sea creatures swimming above you and around you. Another group of young adult visitors were ruining it for me because that part of the tour was peaceful and serene. That group was loud and intrusive. I wish the aquarium would have a no talking or low voices only in that section. Other aquariums do and they enforce it. Nevertheless, the overall experience was fantastic!!!

We drove 7 hrs to come to Sea Life and it was all and above our expectations. AMAZING! Our favorite part was the tunnel top and being able to walk through and see under all the sharks etc. The jellyfish exhibit was beautiful. We fed shrimp to the stingray and touched sea urchins and man that water was cold lol. Fun for the whole family. Well worth the drive and unlimited trips through, for the day. We got our family photo at the end.

We’ve been huge fans of Sea Life at MOA for years and just found out about the behind the scenes tour yesterday! Not only did we get to see all the amazing sea life on the main level, but we got to go upstairs and see everything from above. My kids even got to feed the turtles and fish while we learned all sorts of cool behind the scenes information from our awesome tour guide Pete! This was such a fun experience!

First off, the first responder appreciation is an incredible idea and I thank you for that. I first interacted with a very pleasant lady who helped us get our tickets. She was delightful and pationate about Sea life, asking us to say "hi" to the sea horses for her, so we did 🤗. We had a very enjoyable venture through the aquarium and the kids had a blast. We got lots of pictures and have some great memories to look back on. Thank you all!
Viktra — Google review
Went here because I THOUGHT they would allow you to touch a stingray (touched them & fed them at the Denver CO Aquarium). FYI nope, not here! Do NOT pay to do the “behind the scenes” NOT worth it! Cute yet boring. You can see the sea life in their tunnel just as good as behind the scenes. The best thing there was the VR, worth that price! Also the photo NOT worth the $! As they want another $35 or so for a PICTURE!

Nestled within the vibrant Mall of America, The LEGO® Store is a must-visit destination for fans of all ages. This colorful retailer showcases an impressive array of building sets, bricks, and figurines that spark creativity and imagination. One of its standout features is the enormous pick-a-brick wall, offering 180 unique Lego elements to choose from. Kids can unleash their creativity at various play tables or test their designs on racing tables dedicated to budding Lego engineers.
The MOA Lego Store was well stocked with wonderful gift options at various price points. I had a hard time choosing between four great age-appropriate Lego sets for my grandchild. Check-out was smooth, friendly, and fast. I definitely will be back to use my free “Insider” membership for credit on future purchases. ❤️

We brought our kids here as it was the first Lego store I ever went to! It was awesome to relive some childhood memories with my kids! It's still busy, and the selection is still solid! If you’re looking to purchase individual bricks, come on in! I’ve always loved their huge LEGO assemblies in display.

In August 2025, we visited the Lego Store in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. This Lego store is amazing, as it is right next to the indoor amusement park, and it has amazing Lego displays. There is a large robot, a helicopter, knights, explorers, a Caveman fighting a Saber Tooth Tiger, and so forth. There is a play area for kids to build with the blocks. The Lego store has an open-air roof, so Mall patrons can see into the store from the upper Mall floors. The Lego store is a fun place to visit, and we enjoy shopping for and playing with Lego toys.

This is my favorite store at the Mall of America. If you plan to visit the LEGO Store on the weekend, be aware that there may be a line, but it usually moves quickly. There are plenty of staff members on the sales floor, so if you have any questions, they’ll definitely be able to help. Don’t forget to bring (or ask for) a LEGO passport to collect some unique stamps from this location, and definitely bring your wallet!

The LEGO Store at the Mall of America is a must-visit for LEGO fans. It features a wide selection of LEGO sets, an impressive Pick-a-Brick Wall, and large-scale LEGO sculptures like dinosaurs and astronauts. The Eiffel Tower LEGO set looked amazing but was priced at over $600, making it a showstopper for serious collectors. The friendly, knowledgeable staff enhance the experience, and interactive play areas let visitors unleash their creativity. Perfect for families and LEGO enthusiasts alike, this store offers something special for everyone!

Title: "The Crayola Kingdom: Quest for the Enchanted Palette" Once upon a time, in the whimsical world of Crayola, there existed a magical realm where colors danced, doodles came to life, and imagination reigned supreme. This enchanted land was divided into seven distinct territories, each governed by a wise and vibrant Guardian of Color. These guardians were chosen for their purity and the unique hue that resonated from their hearts. In the center of the Crayola Kingdom stood the grand Color Palace, where all the colors lived in harmony. The palace was a kaleidoscope of hues, with walls made of swirling rainbows, windows of gleaming silver, and a roof that shimmered like the night sky. It was here that the most sacred artifact of the kingdom, the Enchanted Palette, was kept. This mystical tool had the power to bring any vision to life with just a single stroke, ensuring that the world outside remained a canvas of boundless creativity. The guardians had safeguarded the Enchanted Palette for centuries, but when a mysterious shadow began to spread across the lands, stealing the vibrancy from everything it touched, the council knew that something was amiss. They realized that the palette had been stolen by the wicked Color Thief, a being born from the darkest corner of the forgotten Colorless Wastes, where hues feared to tread. The guardians called upon the most creative and daring of their subjects, a young artist named Ember, to embark on a quest to retrieve the palette. Ember, armed with nothing but a box of ancient crayons, set out on a journey through the seven territories to uncover the thief's lair and restore color to the kingdom.

The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA) is a cultural gem featuring galleries filled with Russian art and artifacts. The shop showcases hand-painted Matryoshka dolls, exquisite amber jewelry, religious icons, Russian chocolate, canned goods, and cooking staples. TMORA provides an opportunity to explore the culture shaped by a communist state through its exhibitions and explanations from their perspective.

While scholarships are great, the lack of professor diversity, poor commuter accessibility, and the university’s focus on profit over people make it not worth it. Find a university that truly knows your name, sees your value beyond a number, and respects you for who you are—not just for what you contribute to their diversity stats or bottom line.

I appreciated the college’s academic programs and the staff I interacted with were generally helpful and professional. However, I was disappointed with the financial aid process. Before committing, I received an estimated aid offer that made it seem like I was getting an incredible bargain. After I accepted, the official aid letter arrived showing I owed $843, which was unexpected and caused financial strain. This lack of clear communication about the final costs made me feel misled. I hope the college improves transparency in its financial aid communications to help future students make more informed decisions.

Overpriced for what it is. I regret attending this place. Counselors don't care about you and hate when you have any questions. Administrators are cold and rude, especially if you have questions about tuition. Professors were excellent depending on the class. Some professors horrible, didn't teach well at all and played favorites in class. Unfortunately, unable to develop strong relationships with professors because they're too busy to get to know any of their students. Too bad, would have been nice to have some kind of mentorship. Of course the campus is big and quite nice with all the grand facilities but no time to enjoy it when I'm juggling 2 jobs and studying all the time. I won't recommend this place to any of my neices or nephews and definitely won't allow my kids to go here either. Not worth it.

Students and parents need to be aware of their potential university's policy on AI use. Find out prior to deciding whether to attend, so not to have possibility of being erroneously accused. U of Michigan and some other universities allow AI as a tool of learning. Even professors' own writing/assignments indicate AI use. U of Maryland research finds on publicly available AI detectors are sufficiently reliable. Articles in NY times, WaPo and Business Week are worth reading.

American restaurant
Restaurant
Tilia is a warm and sophisticated neighborhood bistro in Minneapolis, popular since 2011. It offers creative New American plates, brunch options, and craft beers. The restaurant has a three-course kids menu with options beyond the typical fare, such as house-made chips and salsa for appetizers and Spaghetti Juni for entrees. For adults, there are fresh seafood, pasta dishes, and other New American plates available. Chef Steven Brown's Tilia has collaborated with sister restaurant St.
Delicious chilaquiles. Decent bloody Mary. I like that the interior of the restaurant looks like it might have when the building was first built (100 years ago?) very simple and sparse. Everything looks like the original. Good service. They gave our 2 year old a tin lunch box of little toys to play with. And their kid menu was better than most places. I liked this place!
Ren O — Google review
First time at Tilia—we ordered the burger to-go, and to our surprise, it was excellent. The brisket was tender, the thick-cut pickles added a perfect bite, and the meat-to-bun ratio was spot on. Pickup was smooth, and the bar inside had a great vibe. Solid first impression—definitely a spot we’d return to.

We got gazpacho, the risotto, and the waygu rigatoni and it was all amazing. Waiter was very helpful in choosing and providing a description of the menu and flavors.
Maggie N — Google review
My friend and I went there for a Saturday brunch and my experience was overall pleasant. Everything was smooth ranging from seating to our server approaching us at a reasonable time to our food served at a good time. The only reason I would give a 4 would be due to food taste. It was good but not spectacular, and some items were better than others, which I will elaborate on very soon. I recommend the Benedict, first of all. The salad was a standard salad with leaves, but the muffins were very tasty! The ham was soft and succulent. The eggs were well-poached so as soon as I broke it, the yoke was starting to cover the muffin. The hollandaise sauce was a bit sweet but it accompanied the savory very well! I also loved the beet salad, as it contained a mixture of yellow beets and red beets, along with pecans, goat cheese, and even orange slices. It wasn't a common combination but it definitely worked! The brown butter vinaigrette accompanied everything very well, too. I will definitely get the beet salad again when I return here at some point. The turkish eggs were good as well because they had the right ingredients: dill, garlic yogurt, and roasted tomato. These ingredients represented some of the most common elements seen in Turkish dishes. I just wasn't sure if it would classify the item as "Turkish eggs" but this one could just be me being ignorant! Regardless, the taste was good and I enjoyed it! However, the Cacio y Pepe was mediocre at best. The parmesan mixture was too soupy and didn't really stick to the pasta, which meant the temperature wasn't hot enough when mixing cheese and water. It also didn't feel like the parmesan was Parmigiano Reggiano as there was some powdered texture, but I could be wrong on that one; adding some Pecorino Romano may help more. I also didn't think rigatoni was the right type of pasta because experiencing a dish like cacio e pepe should be rolling a fork around a stringy type of pasta like linguine or fettuccine. Overall good experience and I would definitely recommend this establishment to those visiting the area! Enjoying some Sebastian Joe's ice cream afterwards and visiting Wild Rumpus, the bookstore, right after brunch would definitely complete the experience even more.

A Familiar Breakfast Spot, Now a Mixed Bag Returning to a favorite breakfast spot is always a blend of anticipation and nostalgia, and I arrived hopeful for a satisfying start to the day. While it’s understood that restaurants evolve—whether due to changes in ownership, kitchen leadership, or rising food costs—some changes are more successful than others. The bright spot of the visit was without question the service. Our server, Erin, provided warm, attentive hospitality that felt both genuine and effortless—an asset to any dining experience . The food, however, told a more complicated story. The eggs Benedict, once a standout, has undergone a puzzling transformation. The former use of Reuben meat—a rich, savory twist that elevated the dish—has been abandoned in favor of a more conventional (and less memorable) approach, with deli ham. It’s a misstep that left the dish feeling somewhat generic. Compounding that, the hash browns have shifted from their signature chunky, golden texture to a finer shredded one. While the concept and the presentation had merit, sprinkled with chives and the use of finishing salt, the execution missed the mark: the portion arrived lukewarm, lacking the crisp edges I was yearning for. They were premade, which I don’t mind, hash browns deserve to be crispy, hot, and satisfying when they hit the table. On a more positive note, the French omelette was made in the French style and was delicious. In particular, it was made with fresh peas! We ordered it with muenster cheese—a substitution we requested in place of chèvre (a bit too goaty for my wife). It stood out as the most successful plate of the morning. In the end, this return visit was a reminder that even beloved establishments can shift over time—and not always for the better. While the setting and service still have charm, the kitchen’s changes leave the experience less compelling than it once was. For now, it’s a three-star visit: solid in parts, but no longer the standout it used to be. Here was my review from 2108 Ok, so if you are serious about breakfast and eggs Benedict and corned beef and Reubens and fried potatoes, make sure you get to this place before you die. The Rueben Benedict is well, see for yourself aaammmmaaazzziiinnng! Sit at the bar and you might be fortunate enough get Gigi as your server, also amazing!
Dean T — Google review
We came here for the first time today, Easter. We purchased the brunch menu in advance when we made reservations. The food very good! I liked the fact that the hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was not a heavy version of it.
Elisa N — Google review
Just blown away by the meal we enjoyed at Tilia. It was their three course price fixe menu and wow. We had seven dishes (added one on) between the two of us and every one was delicious with creative presentation. I would have to say this was an all time top 10 meal for me. Our favorites was the grilled table bread, seared shrimp, pan fried striped bass and the dark chocolate tart. The last three are pictured here.

Nice little Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. I came in early so got seated by the window. Service is very good. Had 4 dishes, I think the duck sausage is the best. The pork chop is very well balanced. The dessert I had was too sweet. Rest is good but not like oh my god amazing. See pictures for reference. Overall I like this place and would recommend trying it out.

Located inside the Mall of America, the Amazing Mirror Maze is a colorful and unique funhouse-style maze made up of glass corridors and mirrors. It's a popular attraction for families and adults alike, offering an entertaining experience as visitors navigate through confusing yet enjoyable mazes filled with surprises. The maze doesn't take long to complete, approximately 10 minutes, but the admission allows for unlimited re-entry. Visitors are provided with disposable gloves upon entry to prevent fingerprints on the mirrors.
Went with two of my boys. It was a fun experience. The gentleman who checked us in was personable, professional, and had a warm smile.

We had a blast here yesterday! Silly, laughing, smiling, dancing fun with my 8-year-old daughter. And the gentleman that was working there was so sweet and kind. Thank you!
Heidi M — Google review
Pretty neat activity with unlimited reentries while you're there. The mirrors are kept spotless and clean. Takes about 5 - 10 minutes for the full walk through. I myself knocked into a mirror or two while I was there. Great activity for kids and there's only one was in and out of the maze.
Kaleo R — Google review
My 4-year-old and 11 year old ASD child both loved it eldest gave it a 9/10 since he got lost twice lol
Jenna A — Google review
This was a fun thing to do with visiting relatives and my kids. While it's relatively easy to figure out, it's still quite disorienting when you initially go into the maze. We had a Groupon that knocked the price down substantially. And my sister and I, being goofy kids at heart, had the most fun with the distortion mirrors at the end of the maze - other customers weren't as amused...
Margaret R — Google review
It was actually enjoyable. I imagine it would be a blast for little ones but we were 4 adults just out for fun. I will for sure do it again. I'll be bringing my friends kids so i can watch them get lost.
Emma N — Google review
We knew we were going to visit the Mall of America when in Minneapolis. I found a Groupon for this and figured it was worth trying for $4 a person. They make you wear gloves which is a little annoying, but they say it's to avoid fingerprints on the mirrors. It's pretty cool inside the maze with so many reflections everywhere. It might be a little challenging, but if you look at the floor you can easily see which way to go. It's a very very short maze. We got through it in maybe 5 minutes. I'm sure it's a better activity for kids. If you get the Groupon, it's a neat thing to check out. I probably wouldn't pay full price for it though.
Jacqueline T — Google review
We had a great time navigating through the maze several times. Our kids enjoyed going through the experience, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The employee at the front was kind and engaging, as well. We bought a Groupon to make it more cost efficient for our family. A fun treat at the mall!

The Twin City Model Railroad Museum is a large, specialized toy museum with displays of o-scale models of trains. The museum also has exhibits about the history of railroads in Minnesota, and some Easter eggs hidden in the tracks.
This is a must stop place for any parents with younger kids (or older father in laws 😂) that love trains ! We took our son there to see all of the trains decorated for the holidays. Having never been here before, I did not know what to expect. There was plenty of parking and places to hang out jackets. Despite being busy, there were a lot of train exhibits still open and buttons for kids to push and interact with the trains (and more). I could tell that each exhibit was built and maintained with love! It really feels like everyone working there loves what they do and enjoys seeing all of the people interact with these amazing exhibits. They have a gift shop with some pretty nice stuff too. I am going to be sporting one of their hats on my next trail run 😎😎.

You can not beat this place for entertainment or young Children... I was concerned my 3 year old Grandson would be bored and he hasn't stopped in nearly 2 hours... Even our 1 year old granddaughter is having a blast. Both running from train to train and activity to activity.... an absolute blast and we will be back. Highly recommend!!!

I had HO scale trains when I was a kid, going here made real sense to me. I always wanted a house with a basement big enough to have the big trains in it. Nope, not yet. Just go here instead. There are many displays and different sized train sets here for our enjoyment. Your entertainment is priced right here. Enjoy…

Highly recommend for any train enthusiasts! I’m OBSESSED with the LEGO series exhibit. Seriously amazing. I love going to the “Night Train” days. Won’t spoil it for you with too many pics but I have to share some of my favorites. Definitely a must see in the Twin Cities, I think this is the biggest assortment of layouts I’ve ever seen in person, so many different kinds of mobile miniature trains to see in action. Very interactive and great for kids! Love the ever changing layouts! I don’t think I can get over the LEGO ones. Especially the local features. ❤️
Chiara C — Google review
If you like model trains this is with a visit. Different size models with pretty cool layouts. They sometimes have special events. You can book a birthday party here. Photos are from their Halloween event. It was pretty neat
Sue J — Google review
We hadn't been to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum since they were in the old location. The new venue is such a GREAT improvement. While viewing the layout and watching the trains operate was always great, the change to the new location with more layouts and an emphasis on interactive play can't be beat. We went with our two grandchildren (3 and 5) expecting 30 minutes of watching before they grew bored, we ended up staying 90 minutes and having to pull them away. More layouts and buttons allowing everyone to make the trains and other models operate were a huge hit!

Theodore Wirth Regional Park, the largest city park in Minneapolis, covers 759 acres and offers a wide range of activities throughout the year. The park features a lake, urban forest, and chalet-style clubhouse. Visitors can enjoy playgrounds, walking trails, sports facilities, a wildflower garden and bird sanctuary, a quaking bog with boardwalk access, disc golf course, beach area, cross-country ski trails in winter and mountain biking in warmer months.
Not sure how I haven't reviewed Theodore Wirth yet, but it is a fantastic park. Numerous trails both paved on unpaved, hiking only and multipurpose. Extremely well maintained and so many different areas to explore from the Trailhead to Wirth Beach area, to Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden to the Quaking Bog and more! I am very fortunate to live so close to one of my favorite parks! Pics from all over the park over the last 2 months.

A great series of parks and trails. There really is something for everyone, from volleyball and swimming at Wirth Lake to wildlife and native flora viewing at Eloise Butler. You can feel like you're in the wilderness despite being in the middle of Minneapolis, viewing rare habitat types like the quaking bog. Hiking, biking, or just strolling, there's something to do and plenty of helpful park staff to ask for more ideas.

It was a decent place to ride an E-bike...i made the mistake of going during a busy time, lots of traffic in the park, had to go go go, i like to stop and enjoy the scenery and snap pics. But WOW a great place, lots of stuff to do!!

Beautiful park for a morning walk. Lots of seating at different spots which are beautiful pit stops along your run. There’s a fairly nice track of about 4 miles around the entire park. I was able to catch the sunrise, and it was calming. The upper part of the park gives an Icelandic vibe, while the southern portion is a trail around a lake. There’s basketball courts, tennis courts, by the lake patios. Amazing bike trail as well. Must visit!
Pavan K — Google review
Great golf course and layout as long as it’s dry and not flooded.

A treasure of natural beauty within 5 minutes of downtown Minneapolis. Acres of glorious woods, wildflowers throughout the summer, and wonderful nature trails. And in the winter, the crown jewel of cross country skiing in the region. World class trails, groomed and maintained enough to host World Cup ski events. There are memberships and classes and rentals and...ah hell, just go. Theodore Wirth makes winter not just bearable but completely wonderful. You'll understand once you go.
Blaine C — Google review
Trailhead was my destination and has been the location for several events. It's a beautiful, large space, surrounded by windows and views of the trails and nature. There is food service on site that provides simple meals and beverages. In- and outdoor seating, clean bathrooms, and meeting spaces. For larger groups, they partition off the back area, to give the illusion of separation and privacy, however it's still quite noisy and distracting, as the public can utilize the facility.

Visitors can enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations, and activities for kids while shopping. The market is committed to fostering a sense of community by supporting over 100 local farmers and food producers. Founded by renowned restaurateur Brenda Langton in 2006, the market specializes in zero-waste practices and offers organic produce, meat, and dairy products.
First time to the Mill City Farmers Market in Minnesota. Clean. Friendly. Variety. I ran out of bread flour so my reason for the stop was Baker’s Field Mill. I ended up buying two bags of flour making my trip completely worth the drive. Highly recommend check this one out.

The farmer's market in Minneapolis is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area. One of the standout features is its pet-friendly environment, allowing visitors to comfortably bring their furry companions. The market boasts an impressive array of tempting dishes, making it difficult to choose just 1 hahaha I opted for Rudy's Breakfast Bagels, which, despite a significant queue, was well worth the wait. The Lox Bagel on an Asiago bagel was delicious & surprisingly affordable at $14.03. They also offered a delightful selection of 3 sauces: red salsa, chipotle, & avocado. While tables were available, I enjoyed my meal by the stairs, taking in the market's vibrant atmosphere. The bagels come generously filled with fresh vegetables & rich cream cheese. The service was impressively fast, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and kind. A major advantage of this market is its direct connection to the Mill City Museum, which provides convenient access to restrooms and tap water facilities. Although I didn't have enough time to explore every stall due to the market's expansive size, it's clear there's much more to discover than just food and beverages. The variety of goods available is truly impressive.

This is our favorite park which is a block from our condo. It's so peaceful and always a vibrant amount of people jogging, walking their dogs or just hanging out in the park. It's nice too because they closed off one of the roads so less traffic runs through the neighborhood hood which gives you a sense of peace. It's a wonderful little nook in the city right next to Mills Creek Park and Stone Arch Bridge

Lovely park! It's bigger than the other parks along this road and has a lot of nice shady areas to relax in on a hot day. Has a few sculptures which is also cool, but the big sell for me is that there is enough nature here to enjoy!

Good one just right in the center of the skyscrapers .. nicely located with some wonderful sculptures. We love the sign of the park. Easy go to the top and you can have some awesome view. One day, I made a picnic for myself 🤪😜🤩. We can do a snow tube in winter if snow is more. It's very walkable to Guthrie Theater, Rivergate, Churchill apartments, and downtown Minneapolis as well. There are no public restrooms in this area.

A wonderful park in downtown Minneapolis. The views are just wonderful and the spiral path really provides a great opportunity for our kids to expend extra energy racing up along the path and then rolling down the hill. The sculptures are interesting focal points. On street parking can be a challenge but there are plenty of parking ramps in the area. There always seems to be a nice diversity of people here and the Guthrie is so accesible. Weekend farmers markets close by make it an even better visit.

The MN Firefighters Museum is a hidden gem that offers an engaging experience for both children and adults alike. Nestled in what appears to be a small building, it surprises visitors with its extensive collection of firefighting memorabilia, including numerous fire engines and gear. Families can enjoy interactive features like a fire pole and a driving simulator, making it an exciting outing for kids. The museum also showcases significant exhibits such as the 35W Bridge collapse display, which provides historical context to local events.
We brought 2 almost 3 year olds without knowing what to expect. They had so much fun. There is one big truck that the kids can climb in and push buttons and "drive" and then there are a couple other interactive experiences like going down a pole, cranking a pump, steering a ladder, etc. The boys could have played there all day. *one note- the kids had big toy envy of the little model trucks in the glass cases. If there were some toy engines for sale, it would have been the perfect souvenir to take home.
Bay W — Google review
A hidden gem. In a somewhat sketchy part of town, but this is a very well done museum. They have things that will appeal to both experts and novices on things relating to fire departments. They have about eight meticulously restored fire engines from various periods, plus every piece of equipment from over time you can imagine. The employees are experts on the equipment and the history of Minnesota fire department history. But what really sold me was how kid friendly the place is. If you have a kid from age 2-8, they will love it. They have mini fire fighter outfits to wear, fire poles to slide down, real fire engines to sit in and operate the lights. The only unfortunate thing is that they are only open one weekend day every two weeks. We lucked out.

A friend and I brought our boys here and it was a great experience! The kids had an absolute blast exploring the place and playing on the pole, fire truck, and tiller set ups. There's also a lot for the adults here too, with a lot of lovingly arranged firefighting tools, badges, trucks, toys, and more. We'll definitely be back.
Rodrigo S — Google review
Fantastic museum! Very hands on and interactive for kids. There were fun firefighter boots, hats, pants, and coats for kids to wear, which both our kids loved. There was an old firetruck kids can climb on and "drive," lots of fascinating exhibits of interest to all ages. Friendly and experienced staff. Our 3 year old spent 2.5 hours there and didn't want to leave!

Amazing use of the space. Not over whelming with items stacked on items. Very neat and tidy displays and information. Must read the story boards from the 2007 bridge collapse!

We had an amazing experience throwing our three year old’s birthday party here! It was a perfect and easy spot to let the kiddos run around and play on the fire trucks and try on the gear, while pizza and snacks were set up in the hall. It also felt great to support such a special place. Thank you for creating so much joy for our little ones!

When I fist heard about this place I knew I had to take my son there to check it out. I had been by there many times, but I had never been in there before. It's been a few years since I've been there, but when me and my son went there we were amazed at how much stuff there was to see in what seemed like a small (but it's really not) area. Of course I could not go there and not bring my camera with. Both me and my son LOVED it there. I think we should go back there for some more fun some time soon!!

Additionally, the arena has ample parking and spacious restrooms.
Nice ice arena and mostly I love the high bar stool style seating vs having to sit on bleachers! Temperature inside was comfortable as I was not doing the usual shivering. Signs directing to rink 1 and 2 were clearly marked along with location to locker rooms.

My first visit there and it was very impressive. The parking lot is very tiny but I was there on a Saturday morning by 8:00 and I did get a spot. I thought there were wildflowers but I was confused by the layout and I didn't have a map so I think I went the wrong way. It was still very Lush and green and there were lots of birds. My favorite part was in the middle I was on a boardwalk and that is very nice to walk on as I have a back injury I'm recovering from. There were a few places I took pics of sunflowers but I think I missed most of them or they're just not open yet. I love the location and I definitely will be going back again

I already spread mine around my garden hoping to have more milk weed next year. The volunteers are so helpful and kind.
