National park
Nature & Parks
Hot Springs National Park is a historic urban park in Arkansas, featuring a row of early 20th-century bathhouses built on natural hot springs. The park's history dates back to 1832 when President Andrew Jackson set aside the area as the first federal reservation, making it the oldest national park in the United States. The mineral-laden thermal waters that bubble out of the mountain have been believed to possess medicinal or therapeutic properties for centuries and were highly prized by Native American tribes.
This is a very unique national park. I don't think I've ever been to one that was essentially part of the city it was in like this. Basically, half of Hot Springs downtown is the park itself, and the other half is shops and lodging, etc. It was interesting. Very cool history with the bathhouses, and what they were used for. There are some really nice hiking trails in the part of the park that is outside of the actual downtown area. The downtown portion is focused on the bathhouses, and their history. Outside of that is more nature focused into the Ouachita National Forest, with scenic trails, etc.

Interesting park, totally different than any other park I've been to! Cool history, nice little town with historic bathhouses that you can still reserve space and enjoy, nestled in between the hills where the hot spring water flows from. Some good hiking and a nice tower with an elevator to the top with great views of the whole area.
Ali A — Google review
This is a unique National Park. While it’s not the rugged hiker’s paradise that many others are, it has its own special charm. The historic bathhouses are fascinating to see, and the urban setting makes it perfect for a couple’s outing or casual day trip. I hiked the Peak Trail—super easy, though hot in the midday sun—and was rewarded with a beautiful view of Arkansas’s lush greenery from the top. Definitely worth a visit.
SeaTown R — Google review
I had such a great experience visiting Hot Springs National Park! The mix of nature and history makes it a truly unique place — you can hike beautiful forest trails and then relax in the historic bathhouses. The water is warm, soothing, and perfect after a long walk. Everything is well-maintained, and the atmosphere feels peaceful and welcoming.
Michael C — Google review
I understand protecting our natural resources, but I question the initial intention of the park and what it has become. Set within the town of Hot Springs, there are only 2 bathhouses still functioning. Originally “preserved for future recreation” by Congress in 1832, before National Parks were established, it seems like it was originally intended by as “medicinal”playground for the rich and famous (not surprising) and now, not so much. Still, the springs and history are fascinating and you should at least try one of the open bathhouses if you visit. There is some shopping and a few hiking trails, but not much else.
Kristie B — Google review
The Hot Springs National Park unfortunately was closed due to government shut-downs. However, we were still able to access the springs and the trails. The hot springs average around 130F so use caution if you have your small children with you. We had a 5yo & 7yo and they were able to be careful and enjoy touching and learning about the springs. Because the park is integrated within the downtown, it didn’t take long to walk the trail. There’s a lot more trails to hike that we did not do with our youngest kids this trip.
Trisha E — Google review
Different kind of Mario Al park. Not a lot of hiking trails, but we did manage to do about 4 miles, uphill for a mile straight, so there are options. There are also roads going to the attractions that the trails end at if you’re not into hiking. One unique thing about this park is the bathhouses that are still operating for a one of a kind spa experience. Cool park, but keep in mind this is an urban area, not the solitary park you may be used to.

Very nice park. We'll maintained. Great views. If your in the area, might as well as checkout out!

Magic Springs is a popular amusement park that first opened in 1978 and later expanded to include Crystal Falls. The venue offers a wide range of attractions, including roller coasters, kids' rides, waterslides, and summer concerts. Visitors can enjoy thrill rides like the Sky Shark and the Gauntlet, as well as family-friendly options such as the Diamond Mine coaster and the Rum Rummer pirate ride. Additionally, there are entertainment options for all ages, from drive-in movies to live concerts.
A Refreshing Escape in the Arkansas Summer Heat: Magic Springs Delivers! Even with the blazing heat of an Arkansas summer, Magic Springs in Hot Springs proves to be an absolutely fantastic place to come and hang out. Don't let the rising temperatures deter you; this park offers a truly enjoyable experience that makes the heat a minor detail. The rides at Magic Springs are nothing short of amazing. From thrilling roller coasters that twist and turn to water rides that provide a welcome splash, there's something for every level of adventurer. What truly impressed me, especially on a hot day, was how manageable the lines were. We never felt like we were waiting an eternity, allowing us to enjoy more rides and less time baking in the sun. However, the real standout of our visit was undoubtedly the staff. Knowing that they are just as hot as you are, working tirelessly under the Arkansas sun, every single team member we encountered still had a genuine smile on their face and was incredibly courteous. No matter what we asked them, whether it was for directions, ride information, or just a quick chat, they responded with politeness and a helpful attitude. Their positive energy and dedication to guest experience truly made a difference and elevated our day from good to great. Magic Springs is a gem in Hot Springs, offering thrilling rides, manageable crowds, and an exceptionally friendly staff that makes it a must-visit, even when the summer sun is at its peak.

This is a nice park with some rides and a water park, unfortunately the day I visited there was a storm and the park closed early. However the rides I got to ride were fun, the staff was nice and the park was clean. One coaster, X was closed and they have another wooden coaster that is being worked on and not even on the map right now so hopefully that will be refurbished soon. So I got on 3 coasters which were good. They have some nice flat rides, and the water park looks nice.
Sarah P — Google review
We had a great time on our vacation when we visited Magic Springs. We did not have to wait long for rides in both the amusement park and the water park. I was definitely disappointed that only one roller coaster was working, though. Another annoyance was paying for a float for the water park. We did NOT pay for a float because we felt we spent far too much money as is here for many of the rides being out of order. We ended up not even needing to pay for floats because there were others we could get for free. Do not fall for that scam!
Laura G — Google review
We did a Back to School trip for the kids. This park was perfect. Our kids wanted to stay in the kiddie area and the wave pool. It looked like there were big slides and some type of roller coaster that were operating. The crowd was perfect. It wasn't too packed, we went on a Wednesday. I cammn definitely see my family going back to visit this amusement/ water park.
Crystal T — Google review
First time at the park, went ahead and bought a season pass. Could not find any corn dogs but the food was great! I wish they had a cash option because everything except the indoor restaurant won't accept cash inside the park. Rides were super fun! On a slow day the lines aren't too long. Park was clean and there were plenty of staff members available to answer any questions I had and were nice and helpful. I saw that there was a ride or two closed, hopefully they fix it soon!
Corbin S — Google review
Several rides/slides were down and the X Coaster had the safety devices malfunctioning on it while people were riding it. Went to the bathroom as soon as we got there and they were out of soap and paper towels and we got there as soon as they opened. There were people smoking/vaping weed openly around kids. Tons of trash all over the park and most of the trash cans smelled very soured. Not a lot of places to sit in the shade. The kids had a blast though, overall the trip was not horrible but very evident the park has gone downhill some since last year and years before.
Mycalia G — Google review
This a great little park. They have 5 roller coasters on site. One is an old fashioned wood coaster. Then they have 2 water coasters. Then there is the water park side. It has a lazy river, a huge splash pad with several slides and hoses to spray others and a big bucket that drops every 5 minutes or so. The best deal is a season pass. You get free parking. Instead of having to pay I think. $20 to park. Visit twice and you have covered the price of the season pass. You do need to be aware the the life guards are mostly students and when school goes back into session that some of the water rides will not be open for lack of life guards. They have in the past rotated the life guards to different areas to give guest a chance to still use all the water park. Over all not a bad park. It is not 6 flags, but we have been coming here for years and love it.

I went with my sister on 7/2/25 and we had an absolute blast. It wasn't busy, the place was clean and very well organized. We had such a fun time. Highly recommended and we'll be back as soon as we can.

Mid-America Science Museum offers an engaging and interactive experience for visitors of all ages. The museum's mission is to spark interest in STEM fields through hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and various activities. With over 100 interactive displays covering physics, biology, astronomy, and more, the museum aims to make science accessible and enjoyable. One of its highlights is a giant Tesla coil used to demonstrate principles of electricity and magnetism.
We visited with my 8 and 9 year old and four adults. Everybody stayed busy and the kids had a good time. They loved the underground Arkansas play area. The net was cool but my kids weren't impressed by the dinosaurs and it was a lot of walking to see them. Overall, there was plenty to do and it was well maintained!
Sabrina N — Google review
Great place to take the family and enjoy the day. There's plenty to see and learn inside and outside the main building. My favorite thing to see was the famous Tesla coil. The digital dome theater was also fun. If you come in early enough during the week you can go through the exhibits without too many people. If you're from out of town I would recommend a visit here with the family.
Hector R — Google review
My kid enjoyed it a lot and didn’t want to leave; he cried, "I don't wanna go home, I want to play more :)" Honestly, we also had a great time. Especially the Tesla Show was really awesome. I recommend not missing both shows; you might learn something new, I can promise :)
Dewan R — Google review
In town from Austin. We've got our own science / children's museums of course and the Mid-America Science Museum puts ours to shame. One of the best I've ever taken the kids to. Fantastic blend of interactive exhibits and outdoor areas. We opted to do the Tesla coil experience and it was well worth it; our 2- and 4-year olds weren't super engaged with the learning part but even they loved when the coil itself was turned on. If you're in Hot Springs with kids (even teenagers would enjoy it if they "have" to tag along with younger siblings), you really should try and make it.
Cameron N — Google review
Fantastic science museum with some really unique displays and interactions. With a major focus on caves, dinosaurs and electricity, we happily spent an entire afternoon here with all the exhibits - the highlight of the day was the Tesla coil show. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable, and most importantly very patient with science loving kiddos
Kristen T — Google review
there is plenty to do here for the whole family. even the 1-year-olds will appreciate the visit. me and my family have visited this little gym many times and every time there is something new. there's activities to do inside outside wheelchair accessible, Hands-On activities, water activities, even a show if you don't want to touch anything. if you've never been and you have children, it's a must do. of course you're supposed to take them with you, but if you choose not to and your inner child is calling, it's a fun place.
Todd S — Google review
This was a major hit with our little family. Our son is 3 and he could've stayed there all day. We spent four hours there as it was haha. We went to the digital dome show, and we also saw the Tesla coil show, both were very interesting and full of information. Zane led the Tesla coil exhibit while we were there, and he was very knowledgeable. There are so many different interactive exhibits to check out both inside and outside. If you have a little one that loves dinosaurs, do not miss out on this!
Faith M — Google review
I brought my four year old here, and she LOVED it. I would be lying if at 34 i didnt say that I had even more fun than her. I may come back by myself 🤣 there were so many activities here and so much to learn. we willnfor sure be coming back!

Hot Springs Mountain Tower is a 216-ft. tower with an elevator that takes you up to an observation deck, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Hot Springs below. It's located near the end of Hot Springs Mountain Trail and offers amenities such as water, restrooms, and snacks. The admission fee is $11 or $9 with an America the Beautiful Pass. You can drive up to the parking lot or hike the trail to reach the tower.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely breathtaking views from the Hot Springs Mountain Tower! You can see the rivers, mountains, and the entire city bathed in golden light — especially during sunset. The scenery is peaceful, the air feels fresh, and the 360° view is just mesmerizing. Watching the sunset from the top was such a serene experience, and the photo spots are amazing! The tower is clean, well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. A must-visit spot in Hot Springs if you love nature, photography, or simply want to unwind and take in the beauty around you.
Amu S — Google review
Great view from the top, lots of history on display boards on the lower floor. Also a nice souvenir shop with a mix of gifts from shirts, sweatshirts, ornaments, magnets, shot, glasses, snacks, and so on. It is eight dollars to go to the top of the tower. And it is wheelchair accessible. To get to the tower, you will also take a pretty scenic drive. Enjoy the drive and watch for wildlife. We saw a doe and her two fawns.
Lisa J — Google review
Tower provides a panoramic view of Hot Springs and beyond. Stop on the second level to incorporate the history of the Hot Springs and the bath houses. Take time to stop along the way before the tower to enjoy the views. The tower staff were very welcoming.
MTT C — Google review
Beautiful place, all the hot springs are commercialised for hot baths for paid and reserved. Couldn’t see any natural hot springs in the National Park. Very beautiful trails with tree cover. The observation tower/Mountain tower was very beautiful for a Birds Eye view and great outlook points on the way. Nearby is a Marina where boating l, kayaking and water activities which can be a great cool off for the kids and family.
Ravi T — Google review
It was a lot of fun hiking up to it from bathhouse row. There is a hiking trail that will go up to the top of the tower and then we took the stairs and rode the elevator down. There's a lot of history when you get up to the top of the tower. There is an admission.
Carolyn H — Google review
Went here with my mom to over look Hot Springs, Arkansas. The tower has 360° views of the whole town. The tower has 3 floors, 1st floor is the gift shop, 2nd floor is the history of the tower and the town and the 3rd floor is the observation deck. This place does offer military discount for anyone who served or active duty. Cool part about the tower, is the elevators have a glass window leading all the way to the top of the tower so you can look out while going up. FYI one of the elevators does not have a light and only gets lit by the natural light of the glass coming in. Overall, the tower was a cool place to check out.
Lizzy G — Google review
On a clear day you can see for miles around the Hot Springs area from atop of the Tower. Which we were fortunate to have this beautiful fall day. The only thing that would have made it better was if the fall foliage had been in full force. That's one of the reasons we planned our trip at this time of year. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for a late fall. All and all, you can't go wrong with a trip to the Springs.
Steve S — Google review
Really enjoyed visiting Hot Springs Mountain Tower. The views from the top were beautiful and totally worth it. The elevator ride up was quick, and there’s a small gift shop and some cool info displays. Great spot if you’re in the area — perfect for a short, scenic stop.

The Gangster Museum of America in Hot Springs, Arkansas offers a captivating look into the town's intriguing past. During the 20's, 30's, and 40's, Hot Springs was a popular destination known for its healing mineral waters and illicit activities like bootlegging and gambling. The museum provides historically accurate insights into how notorious American gangsters interacted with the town. Visitors can enjoy guided video tours that shed light on the relationship between these criminals and the innocent local population.
This tour exceeded my expectations! Very informative and brimming full of history. Nice collection of memorabilia. Even my 7 year old and 8 year old found it interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the unique history of Hot Springs and its connection with some of most notorious gangsters that reigned during Prohibition. Also even though I bought tickets upon arrival and did not have any difficulty, if you buy your tickets in advance you’re more likely to get the desired time you would like to take your tour.
Laura — Google review
I learned so much about both baseball and gangster activities in the history of Hot Springs. I enjoyed it so much I got a couple books about it here and went back to my room and read them. Such interesting history! The museum itself relies heavily on videos to tell the story. You go from room to room and watch a video then go to the next. Each room tells a different part of the story. They were interesting and filled with local people. There was memorabilia in the rooms as well. But not like most typical museums. I feel like it is more about the stories. Enjoyed!!
Shana F — Google review
The Gangster Museum was an unique experience! Our tour guide was a plus. He was dressed in character, full of energy, and rattling off fascinating stories like he’s been living in that era himself. You could totally tell he loves what he does, and that passion made the tour way more engaging. The photos, artifacts, and vintage details were awesome! Everything from old roulette tables to mugshots of the most notorious mobsters. We learned so much about how deep the gangster ties ran in Hot Springs, and it was way more than we expected! The only thing that dragged a bit were the videos. If you're into history, crime stories, or just want to do something different, this place is a must-see for a super affordable price !
Rochelle A — Google review
I put no wait to get in because youcan just walk right in, but you may have to wait for a tour to start. It is well worth the money. Lots of very cool and amazing artifacts and information!! I highly recommend going there when visiting Hot Springs!
Chris M — Google review
Its ok. But not really what I expected. Mostly pictures on the walls, etc. and while someone tells you information, the majority are videos. The Gangster Museum is really a history of the city as stranger/gangsters began to vist it and go for entertainment. They do have a few other items to tie it together.
Esteban L — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First-time visitors to Hot Springs and we’re glad we stopped at the Gangster Museum! The tour runs about an hour and a half and mixes live presentation, stories, and videos. Really cool way to learn about the fascinating history of Hot Springs and its ties to the gangster era. We walked away having learned a lot and enjoyed every minute. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in town!
Bill V — Google review
Look into buying tickets prior to showing up. If there is a big crowd it will have limited seating in each rooms. Informational and a great place to buy hats.
Faith S — Google review
This is a solid fun thing to do while in Hot Springs. I really liked the interesting information presented and some cool artifacts or props to look at, many of which you can touch. The people we interacted with were all super nice as well. As mentioned in the reviews, the tour itself is uniquely laid out. You go from room to room, listen to a few minutes of the guide introducing the room, then a video is played (around 10 minutes long), then the guide comes back in and talks for another few minutes. Then you get to look around for a few more minutes before going to the next room. You can spend as long as you want in those rooms reading everything if you wanted to but you may miss the tour guide talking about the next room. Also, each room only has like 10 chairs or so, when there is 20 ish people, so you're not guaranteed a seat while that 10 minute video is played. The only thing is our guide, although nice, wasn't really the best guide for this kind of a tour. You need someone with a loud projecting voice, confident sounding, and funny. Our guide spoke real fast and mumbled parts of it. He wasn't very dramatic either, which is what you want in a tour guide to really bring things to life. I felt like I was listening to a college professor again. The first room is probably the most boringest room and video. It made me think, what did I just spend my money on, but it got a lot better. I think if we had a more engaging/dynamic tour guide this would have easily been a 5 star experience.

The Ohio Club, established in 1905, is a historic bar with a colorful past. It was once a popular hangout for gangsters like Al Capone and Lucky Luciano. The interior is adorned with vintage decor, including an 1880s-era mahogany back bar. The venue also features live music and an in-house restaurant called Eden, which offers brunch in the former bathing room of the bathhouse across the street.
A really neat place that gives you the feel of a 1930's speakeasy. We are from Ohio and once I saw the sign outside, I had to stop. We did not order food but just stopped for drinks. I was impressed by the number of local craft beers on tap, around a dozen. They have quite a few specialty cocktails as well. The atmosphere is great. Our bartender was friendly as well.
Steve K — Google review
The food was okay... nothing to write home about, but the atmosphere? Absolutely iconic. I will note the spicy green beans were SO GOOD. The Ohio Club is dripping with history, and if you're even slightly into vintage charm, mobster lore, or old barroom vibes, you'll be hooked. From the massive hand-carved mahogany bar that was hauled here by barge and horse (yes, really), to the wild stories of gangsters, gamblers, and even presidents hanging out here...this place is a living time capsule. Every corner has something cool to look at, and you can feel the stories in the walls. Drinks were solid and definitely worth the price, staff was friendly, and even though the food didn’t blow us away, it’s still a great lunch stop just for the ambiance and the conversation starter it is. You don’t just eat here ... you step into history.

Ate a late breakfast just down the street and walking by we decided to stop in for bloody Mary’s as we had never been here when visiting HS. I always wanted to as I’m intrigued by the w Mafia history. What a great spot!! The ultimate bloody Mary’s did not disappoint at all. Perfect blend w spices and Tajin rim served w a k-bob of yummies w cheese, pickles, sausage, bacon, cucumbers, olives. Super cool atmosphere and some awesome bartenders. Look forward to returning for dinner sometime.

Iconic bar restaurant on bath House Alley. Drinks are a little pricey, they also sell glasses and t-shirts and even charge for small stickers. If I drop $50 at the bar and leave a $15 tip, it sure would be nice if you would give me a $2 sticker. Unfortunately, that's the impression I left with. Next time I'm in Hot Springs I'll give it another shot.

My husband and I stopped in the Ohio Club at lunch today for a Bloody Mary. The waitress, who was so sweet, talked us into ordering a Reuben sandwich which wasn't hard to do considering Reuben's are one of my favorites. It did not disappoint, it was delicious! The Bloody Mary was delicious as well, it came with green olives, cucumbers, cheese, bacon, sausage, a banana pepper, and pickles! Great experience and super cool atmosphere!

Food and service were excellent. Our server Ryan was fantastic. Took the time to answer our questions and tell us a bit about the restaurant/bar. Dinner and drinks were great. And the Fried Pies for dessert were the best!

Went on a Saturday Evening to take the wife out for her Birthday dinner. Really good atmosphere and food. I got the hangover burger and she got the Hawaiian burger we both enjoyed and ate every bite. Got to enjoy some good live local music later that day. Will definitely be back to try out other things on the menu. If you enjoy a good burger and beer this is the place to go.

Not a lathe place but the atmosphere is amazing. If you want to see where a real OG ended up after leaving New York, check it these digs. The food was better than most bar food. The drinks were spendy but well made. The staff was really friendly and informative. We enjoyed this spot and the history is real. Check it out when you're in Hot Springs, Bathouse Row. There are places to get cheaper drinks but honestly, the story of this spot is worth the upcharge.

Nestled at the end of Bathhouse Row, Superior Bathhouse Brewery is a unique gem that combines history with craft brewing. Housed in a beautifully renovated bathhouse, this brewery stands out as the only one located within a National Park and boasts an innovative approach by using thermal spring water to create its beers and root beer. The venue retains many original features, such as vintage tiles and old bath lockers, adding to its charm.
Very cool place. We enjoyed the patio area which was made better on a hot day by the misting fans. Awesome brew selection, honestly had trouble picking one from the flight I got. The food was fantastic, Rose's smash burger with the bacon jam was so good! Love the atmosphere, I've never seen a place that not only allows pups but provides them with a water bowl and has pup options on the menu!

Superior Bathhouse Brewery in Hot Springs uses the hot natural spring water to make their beer. Great outdoor patio and plenty of space. Their root beer float was delicious and next time I’m gonna get the steak sandwich. The share-a-bowl nachos were good. I’d recommend them. Go check out this brewery!

Fantastic lunch while we were seeing Bathhouse Row. The building is gorgeous, with much of it original to the build. I had the Reuben Sandwich (which was enough for two meals) with Onion Rings and it was so good! Be sure to ask for a cup of their housemade spicy mayo to dip them in. My hubs had a Bacon Smashburger with the housemade Mac and Cheese. He loved the burger, but the Mac and cheese was served cold and soupy, even though we were among the first to dine there for the day. They need some serious revamping of that particular side. I also had the Chocolate Fiesta Stout, which was delicious with a pepper finish and the Foul Play, which is a chocolate coffee oatmeal stout. Everything was great!

Great place to grab a bite after hiking in the national park. Beers are made using the water from the local hot springs, so it is truly something unique to this brewery. One other great thing- it’s dog friendly and has meat options in the menu for your furry friends! We started with a pretzel, just because we walked though the place they were making them, and they smelled amazing. Weren’t disappointed. We split the steak nachos since we were just hungry enough to want to eat, but didn’t want to spoil dinner. It was still a lot of food, but very tasty.

Request Brock if you stop by! His attitude is outstanding and his recommendations are on point. If you need someone to hype up your choice - he’s your guy. Honestly, one of the kindest servers I’ve met in a long time and genuinely seemed to be happy to be at work. People can make or break a moment. He made lunch outstanding. Regarding the venue, your standard brewery and turn it up a notch and add in a little history… the beer list is extensive, with a little bit of something for everyone, including an amazing homemade rootbeer for kids and nondrinkers. Drink it fast as it flattens out quickly once in a cup. Plenty of burgers, nachos, and apps to go around. They have those terrible metal chairs that are everywhere anymore, but I give them points for having the wider ones - they were plus size friendly. Overall, there is plenty of variety and beef is sourced locally along with a handful of other ingredients. Gluten free options are limited, but the Sweet Potato Salad hit home and was totally unique - definitely add the pork on top. It is a little foodie focused with some unique flavors and pairings offered. Burgers and sandwiches can be made over a bed of lettuce as an accommodation as well. The shared fryer limits options for strict GF followers and you should proceed with caution. No GF Beers are on the menu, but cider and other offerings are. Overall, I’ll be back. The service stood out - with a friendly and helpful staff even amongst a busy window. Be patient things run a little slower… it is the south, it is a brewery, take it easy folks, and enjoy looking out the window.

🍺 Beer, Bites & a Sweet Surprise at Superior Bathhouse Brewery! My husband and I took a quick getaway to Hot Springs and couldn’t resist stopping by Superior Bathhouse Brewery — the only brewery in the U.S. that brews beer using thermal spring water & located in a National Parl! How cool is that? We dove right in with two flights of beers (when in Rome, right?). I’m not usually a beer drinker, but I quickly discovered that blondes are definitely my vibe. Sweet Nectar of the gods (a smooth, creamy ale) and The Beez Kneez (honey basil blonde) were the clear winners. The basil in Beez Kneez really shines through — super refreshing! For bites, we ordered the elote corn nuggets — I was hoping for more traditional elote flavors, but these came deep-fried with a spicy kick. We also shared a Reuben, which was pretty solid. But the star of the show? Homemade peach cobbler with ice cream. Oh. My. Goodness. 🍑🍨 If you visit, don’t skip dessert — it was hands-down my favorite part of the meal!

We visited the Superior Bathhouse Brewery twice during our two days in Hot Springs. Our first stop by was just to have a couple of drinks in the evening after we had finished dinner elsewhere. We were offered a high top out on the patio and we were happy to have the chance to enjoy the nice weather. The place was busy, but the staff assured us that we shouldn't feel the need to rush. They offered us menus, but didn't press when we said we were just interested in a few drinks. The second time we stopped by was for lunch and we sat inside to avoid the mid-day sun. Indoors was nicely decorated and very clean. We scored a nice spot looking out the front windows, which was great for people watching. The food was good, and a reasonable price for such a touristy area. During both of our visits the staff were friendly, prompt and very helpful with suggesting drinks that we might enjoy. Certainly a place we will return to if we're in the area again.

Breakfast restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Hot Springs, The Pancake Shop is a beloved breakfast spot for locals and tourists alike. Since 1940, this family-owned establishment has been dishing out mouthwatering American breakfast classics like giant scratch-made pancakes, homemade sausage, and juicy ham steaks. Renowned for its generous portions and friendly service, The Pancake Shop has become a must-visit destination.
A fun little diner like place, the Pancake Shop was THE place to eat a big hearty breakfast before starting our adventures for the day. The staff kindly let us know that the pancakes are HUGE, so we didn't over order on those, but once we added a side of eggs and sausage it was a LOT of food! Everything tasted wonderful, and the staff were friendly and very attentive. Multiple staff members checked on us throughout our dining experience, and they were quick to top off our coffee cups when they ran low. We lucked out and missed most of the morning rush, as we ate at more of a "brunch" time, so we didn't have to wait to be seated, but you could tell that this diner is always hoppin! Certainly a place we'll come back to if we are back in town again.

This restaurant gave me all the feels! I felt like I was stepping back in time to a pancake shoppe that my grandparents would have take me to. I loved the nostalgic atmosphere, the fast yet hospitable service and more importantly the delicious pancakes. I wish I had taken more pictures but I was caught up in the moment of enjoying my cup of coffee and cozying up with my kids on a rainy morning. Just wonderful. The wait wasn’t bad. Be prepared to have to pay to park.

Georgia took amazing care of us! It was so busy but we immediately got a seat and she was constantly filling up our coffee and water. The food itself was awesome! As you can see, we had a feast. The chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy with melted chocolate and the sausage…wow! They have house made sausage and it’s savory, lightly spicy, and matched with what we ate. They will get you in and out rapidly! Also, the french toast is deep fried and dissolves in your mouth. 😍

We LOVE breakfast places and Hot Springs has no shortage of them, but when we saw reviews for The Pancake Shop we knew we had to try it. We went at about 8:30 on a Friday morning. While there was no wait, we did accept spots at the little bar they had. Be warned that the Pancake Shop is known to have a wait but they'll take your name down and come outside and call for you, even at the 2 shops next door on either side. The staff was very nice but it's about elbow room only. The fresh squeezed orange juice tastes AMAZINGLY fresh. We HAD to try a pancake, of course. It tastes like it's made with applesauce. Very light and airy. We had a veggie omelet and sausage patties (locally sources, filling, and not greasy), scrambled eggs and white toast and coffee. I also had grapefruit juice. The apple butter that comes with the toast is also amazing. Highly recommend, they close at 1pm so don't plan to go after noon!!

This restaurant is excellent. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and just the right amount of sweet. The coffee was so good I’m going to go back tomorrow morning. We came at the right time as when we finished there was a line out the door. Clearly a local favorite.

The Grand Promenade is a delightful half-mile brick pathway that meanders through the heart of Hot Springs, Arkansas. This pedestrian-friendly walkway runs parallel to Central Avenue and Bathhouse Row, providing visitors with a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. As you stroll along this charming path, you'll find plenty of red benches perfect for resting or enjoying conversations while soaking in the beautiful views of the historic district.
It's definitely worth walking the promenade while visiting Hot Springs. You'll see the actual hot springs in action and have opportunities to learn some interesting historical facts about the area surrounding Bathhouse Row.

Nice peaceful place to walk and just chill. They have chess boards built into tables. If you want to stop and play, bring your pieces. The wheelchair ramp is at the main entrance off bathhouse row. Didn't walk whole trail. It is long and you could spend half a day just here. I think it's cool to do at least once. Also, a great place to relax your feet for a bit from walking bathhouse row. Has a lot of history and plaques to describe importance. Bike rack at side entrance. Regular parking is hard to find on busy days in general in Hot Springs, with this not being an exception

Strolling the Grand Promenade! We liked the self-guided walkway down the Grand Promenade, enjoying Hot Springs National Park's amazing atmosphere, with its blend of natural beauty and historical significance. This place offers views of the historic bathhouses, historic architectures and the thermal springs, which are often covered in green "spring boxes" to preserve them from contamination. Several short historic trails begin from this place. This place has "tufa" formations which were unique to us.

This location in Hot Springs, Arkansas is a gem. Although it was extremely hot outside, we made the trek going up-and-down the promenade and went up the stairs to take a hike. Yes, the water is actually extremely hot, and it was trickling as we walked by, it was steaming and it looked beautiful. I would really enjoy this area on a cold day. They have benches along the walkways, for people to sit down. We didn't have time to do any of the hot baths but at least we were able to touch the hot water from the spring, and fill up a couple of jumps of water before we left. I would definitely recommend anybody to go here, especially because it is free, but also, because it is absolutely gorgeous.

My son and I visited the Northwoods waterworks trails in 2023 and had a blast! (Son was 11, I was 38). I’m not a very experienced rider, but I had a great time on the green trails, and an absolute thrill on the blues! I would not recommend the blue trails to inexperienced downhill MTB, as they do have some small jumps and steep downhill portions. The only downside for me is that there’s no lift. It’s quite the steep hike to get to the top with a bike. Others had e-bikes, but we were pushing ours. It was worth the effort once we got to the top, though! Full face helmets, gloves, and padded gear highly recommended for blues (and obviously black trails). Regular helmet should be fine on greens.

Pizza restaurant
Rocky's Corner is a long-standing, family-owned establishment in Hot Springs, Arkansas, known for its Chicago-style pizza and pitcher-poured beer. The restaurant has been a local favorite for over 20 years, offering delicious Italian cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. With its thick crust Chicago-style pizza, it stands out among the town's other great pizza places. Rocky's Corner is also recognized as one of the winners of last year's Feast Month for Best Pizza.
If you’re looking for the best pizza in town, look no further than Rocky’s Corner Pizza. Every time I visit, the pizza comes out consistently perfect! Everything from crispy crust, just the right amount of cheese and sauce, and always piping hot and delicious. You can tell they take pride in getting it right every single time. I usually order to-go, and the service is always quick and efficient. On my most recent visit, I was helped by Delaney (or “D” as she goes by), and she made the experience even better. She was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and went out of her way to make sure everything was just right. Service like that really makes a difference and keeps me coming back.

Rocky's Corner in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is a long-standing local favorite, especially for those looking for a taste of Chicago-style Italian fare. It's renowned for its pizzas, with options ranging from traditional Chicago-style crusts to thinner versions, and specialties like the "TKO" (Italian sausage and pepperoni) and "Pizza Bianca." Beyond pizza, they offer a solid menu of homemade Italian sandwiches, including Italian beef and meatball, as well as classic pasta dishes like spaghetti, lasagna, and fettuccine alfredo. We selected the Chicago style with mushrooms. And we ordered fried ravioli as an appetizer. Both were fantastic! The atmosphere was buzzing and a little loud because it’s a popular spot. Portions are generous, and the overall vibe is welcoming to both locals and visitors. While opinions on the "authenticity" of their Chicago-style pizza might vary, it's widely considered a reliable and satisfying option for hearty Italian comfort food in Hot Springs. We loved it.

I'm not a local and tried Rocky's while on vacation. Delicious pizza! Best I've had in a long time! We had a salad, the chicken wings app, and 2 different pizzas. This pizza could easily be my last meal on earth! A+++ My experience: My parents had the most popular pizza shop in town when l was growing up, and l delivered pizza for several years. We used only the best ingredients, fresh mozza/veggies, hand thrown dough. But even our pizza was not as good as Rocky's! We were visiting the area from Lake of the Ozarks so my husband could spend a couple days at the race track. Always on the lookout for amazing pizza, we found it!! This deep dish pie was worth every single penny. Lots of toppings, not skimpy on the cheese, everything on the pizza melded together perfectly. We also had an appetizer of fried calamari which came out fast and was crunchy & deelish. The icing on the cake was our delightful server. I'm super sad to say that my old memory has forgotten her name. But both servers staffing the front dining room on 4.10.25 were THE best. They were a great team, welcoming everyone, smiling, laughing, and keeping an eye on all the customers. We LOVED this place, we'll def be back!!

The architecture is stunning — the way the glass and wood blend seamlessly with the forest around it is something that mesmerizes you from the moment you walk in. It’s so peaceful and serene, I honestly felt like I could have sat there forever. Whether you're spiritual or simply someone who appreciates design and nature, this place will move you. I can’t wait to return again in the fall, when the leaves change — I can only imagine how beautiful it will be with all those colors surrounding the chapel. If you’re ever near Hot Springs, this is a must-see. Photos don’t do it justice — it’s something you have to feel in person.

We visited Anthony Chapel about a month ago on the last leg of a road trip we deemed The Arkansas Chapel Tour, where we visited all three of the big glass chapels (including Thorncrown, and the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel). Of the three, we actually voted Anthony Chapel in 3rd place. Don’t get me wrong - they are ALL amazing structures, each with their own unique style. For us, Anthony was the least accessible for those with mobility issues (gravel path, not close to parking, slight incline returning), and it was the one with the most activity, so the least peaceful visit. We loved the free roaming peacocks - they were fun to watch! We also loved the ceiling structure of this chapel. It was very interesting. We didn’t find any brochures here that gave info about the chapel as the other two had - details about the building, architects, how it came to be, etc. Maybe they were out of brochures when we visited, but all we found was a bridal booklet with info about weddings in the area. That would be a nice addition. Definitely go visit - and visit the other two as well!!

Anthony Chapel is a breathtaking gem nestled in the woods at Garvan Woodland Gardens. With its soaring glass-and-wood architecture, it feels like stepping into a cathedral of nature—sunlight dances off lofty beams, and forest vistas surround you. Exceptionally peaceful and visually stunning, it’s free to visit (unless a private event is underway) and offers an unforgettable, serene escape. A must-see if you’re in Hot Springs.

Absolutely stunning. Tucked into the woods, Anthony Chapel is peaceful, elegant, and breathtaking in person. The architecture and natural surroundings make it a perfect stop whether you're visiting for a wedding, photos, or just a moment of quiet reflection. Amazing architecture! I wish we could have some of these in TX as well. Tip: it is actually free to go here and appreciate the view but check their availability since this is usually booked for private events, you can always visit the Garvan woodlands garden for a fee in case you’re not lucky

Beautiful chapel within the Garvan Woodland Gardens. Amazing architecture and setting. We were confused about entering the chapel. We had read reviews that it was free to enter however we observed security questioning people exiting the chapel area on whether they had purchased tickets to the garden. We did purchase tickets and were glad we did because the gardens were also beautiful.

We just visited the chapel (which is free) but the nature preserve is paid. It is totally worth checking out - it’s beautiful, surrounded by nature, clean, and has breath taking views! It was a hot day but as soon as we went inside the AC is on full bast which was a huge plus.

Restaurant
McClard's Bar-B-Q Restaurant is a historic family-owned establishment in Hot Springs, Arkansas, renowned for its legendary barbecue. Since 1902, they have been perfecting their slow-smoked meats, resulting in tender ribs, mouthwatering pulled pork, and flavorful sausage. The secret recipe developed over the years using different wood types has created a unique and unforgettable barbecue experience.
Absolutely delicious bbq and locally owned spot. The secret sauce truly is worth the $10 and to be stored in a bank vault. I enjoyed the daily special, dry rub rack of ribs and my companion enjoyed the combo plate, a little taste of everything. We really loved the French fries and the tamale as very interesting! Southern hospitality, cold sweet tea and so much more.
J C — Google review
McClard's is a Hot Springs fixture, a favorite of Bill Clinton from his years growing up in Hot Springs. He had McClard's barbecue flown to him in the White House while he was president. The restaurant itself is akin to a diner, with rows of booths in a long room that features counter service as well, with stools to sit on. Seating is first-come, first-served, and places to sit can be scarce during peak hours of business. The barbecue, which, to my taste buds has not been quite so good on recent visits as it has been in the past, features a not-too-sweet tomato-based sauce that McClard's sells in bottles both on site and in local grocery stores. You can choose beef or pork, either chopped or sliced, and, in typical Arkansas fashion, if you order a sandwich, it will come topped with cole slaw unless you ask for that to be omitted. McClard's also offers hot tamale plates, an Arkansas thing with roots in the Delta region of Arkansas and Mississippi. The beans served as a side dish with these plates are not sweet, and that's very much to my palate. They're robustly seasoned with cumin and have a light tomato sauce with, I think, some ground beef cooked in it. The cole slaw is also not overly sweet, in welcome contrast to what you'll find now in most Arkansas eateries. The fries are made from whole Idaho potatoes and are tasty. You don't come to McClard's for atmosphere unless atmosphere means lots of noise, rather uncomfortable booth seating, and rubbing shoulders with locals devoted to McClard's or to tourists who have heard it's a spot to visit in Hot Springs. You come for the barbecue. My favorite plate is the rib plate with fries, with beans and slaw ordered as additional side dishes. But be forewarned: that plate is enormous and one person can scarcely eat it all at one sitting, unless she or he has a gargantan appetite. Wait staff are almost always very nice, and they deserve credit for remaining patient while waiting on large numbers of people every day in a less than restful setting.

The best BBQ in Arkansas. I am shocked that this place doesn't have a higher rating. When you look at McClard's BBQ from the outside, you know you're in for a treat when you see the classic, old-style restaurant. The inside reflects that, too. I ordered a plate of ribs with fries on the side. McClard's does it a little differently though, and I get why. When my food arrived, my fries were stacked on top of the ribs. Why? Honestly, I am not sure, what I am sure though is that the flavor of the ribs were on the fries, even though the fries were seasoned themselves, making them ten times more delicious than what I was expecting the fries to be. The ribs themselves, though, was life changing. The meat was practically falling off the bone when I picked it up, which to me is a great sign for good BBQ. The seasoning and smokiness of the rib was absolutely phenomenal. I wish I could describe it to you, but you'll just have to try it for yourself!

If you’re looking for a tasty lunch true homemade BBQ look no further, this is it. Feels good supporting this institution and its local employees. Hubs had the barn sampler subbing turkey, teens had the ribs and I had the tamale spread. Bursts of flavors thanks to the bbq sauce and the well cooked pork and beef. Special restaurant, I’ll come again!

This is what a breath of fresh air looks like. Let’s count it out. History in this place is beyond compare. Waitresses are real sweet yet somewhat sassy. If you ask what types of beer do you have you better not order an orange Fanta! Fries cut perfectly, beef ribs are #1 top notch delicious, let’s talk Cole slaw, lightly sweet-just a touch, lightly spicy-just a touch, it acts like it’s creamy but it’s not,🤤 made there and is by far best I’ve ever had. Without a doubt a must stop in Hot Springs and worth making a trip to get here. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Came here after not being able to order at a different restaurant, and that was a lucky thing for us. My wife ordered the ribs and I ordered a loaded potato. Both were great. However, the best thing about the restroom with the service. Eleanor, our server with super attentive and friendly.

I would give this place 7 stars if I could! We had the barn sampler, turkey sandwich, and rib plate Fresh cut fries! Everything was delish, 0 complaints, Debbie our server, and a fellow buckeye was AWESOME! you could buy the bbq sauce and rubs for $6.50 which I did! we preferred the sweet bbq sauce the best. original had a little bite and was good also. We almost went back a 2nd night on our 3 day trip to the area! Triple D took us there and it didn't disappoint. They have been in business 97 yrs and that says just about all you need to know!

I have been coming her since I was a kid and now I am 64. My favorite is the half Tamale! My friend got the ribs and she said they were delicious! You can easily split/share both. It is so much food and the prices are really good. 10 out of 10.

German restaurant
Steinhaus Keller is a lively restaurant in Hot Springs, serving up traditional German cuisine since 1931. Nestled in the historic downtown area, this eatery boasts a charming brick exterior and a cozy patio for outdoor dining. The menu features classic German dishes like schnitzel and sauerbraten alongside American favorites such as burgers and fries. With its inviting atmosphere, live music, and extensive beer selection, Steinhaus Keller offers an authentic taste of Germany right in Arkansas.
Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Our waitress was so kind and very attentive. The live music was a lovely touch. The entire atmosphere was cozy and enjoyable. I ordered a Creme Brulee Espresso Martini and, oh my gosh, it was fantastic. My husband ordered a flight which was really well priced. For my meal, I had the meatloaf, candied brussels sprouts, and the German potato salad. & now I'm sad because I have to wait until I am in Hot Springs to enjoy this meal again. Seriously, I cannot brag on it enough. Also, they helped us celebrate our 10-year anniversary with a slice of German Chocolate cake which was very good as well. We will definitely be back!

This place was phenomenal in every way!!! So charming and rustic, the perfect date night spot. The service was amazing (I wish I could remember our waitress’s name- she was so good) but the food blew everything out of the water. We split the smorgasbord and every single bite was delicious!!! From onion pie to sauerkraut balls to trout dip- all of their small plates are amazing. We both ordered the special; for us, beef tips (with mash potatoes and green beans) and our companions, the schnitzel. Both dishes convinced me that German food is my new favorite!!! 🤤 5 stars for SURE! (Also, the beer!!! So yummy.)

This place was amazing, 10/10 in every area! Atmosphere was amazing, lovely decorated! Service was phenomenal…always making sure we were well taken care of and the food….the food….was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! For the cocktail, I had the maple Bourbon spice and my fast buds were in happy land! My wife ordered the meatloaf with the noodles and dumplings and I had ordered the schnitzel (pork) with the brandy cream sauce, sauerkraut and German potato salad!! We highly recommend for any occasion! A+++

Great German food with generous portions. Our server was very knowledgeable about German beer and helped us navigate the menu with ease. The food was really good. The portions were large and very hearty. The homemade apple strudel was divine! A great restaurant when visiting Hot Springs.

They have an outstanding selection of German and imported beers on tap. Their recently updated menu is even better than before! I highly recommend starting with the potato pancakes appetizer. The real standout, though, is their beef stroganoff—it’s hands down the best I’ve had anywhere. And for something unique, don’t miss the adult butter beer—smooth, creamy, and deliciously nostalgic. Steinhaus Keller is consistently excellent. A must-visit spot in Hot Springs!

We were so excited to come here. I’m from Germany and my husband was stationed in Germany. The restaurant itself was very nice. The waitress was great! But the food was disappointing. My husband had Jäger Schnitzel with mushroom soup and fried potatoes. I had the peppercorn rahm schnitzel with Knödel and potato pancake. The only good food was the bread and the applesauce. The fried potatoes were alright. The Schnitzel was tough even though we both got veal. The Knödel were overcooked. The pancake needed salt.

Got the giant pretzel and the schnitzel with fried potatoes and brussel sprouts. So yummy. But they charged $8 extra because we shared a plate. Didn't tell us that it was going to cost more even though they knew we'd never been before. But other than that it was good
Heidi C — Google review
A most excellent and memorable dining experience! I dined here two consecutive nights it was so good. Round one consisted of chicken Diane with spaetzle underneath and the kielbasa sausage. The sausage was firm and chewy as a quality sausage should be and the chicken was equally delicious. The service was very good and there was a single violin player performing on a small stage playing old and contemporary music. I should have tested her mettle and asked her to play Vivaldi's Winter. I was going to hit the Brick House for round two of dining in Hot Springs, but they are closed on Sundays. Regretting not ordering the schnitzel for round one, I had to try it, and I was not disappointed. For clarity, I ordered the pork and not the veal. Again, the table service was impressive. After dinner, I encountered an e-bike rickshaw and had to have the grand tour. My tour guide called himself "LJ" and took me around. First we hit the Veterans park and I let him know the army tank sitting the was the venerable M-60 Patton. There's many an M-60 tank sitting in such parks around the country. Next on the grand tour was the town drainage ditch. But this was special in two ways. Firstly, it channels the hot water from the springs through the town under the main thoroughfare passing eight bath houses along the way. Legend has it that multiple businesses along the main street have access to the tunnel and this was particularly made use of during the Prohibition era with the likes of Al Capone having his finger in the pie. At the opposite end of the tunnel is the other opening where water flows in. Along the ditch is the town's alligator farm. Back in the teens and 1920s, the surrounding area was a ballpark. The very same ballpark where Baseball legend Babe Ruth hit a 573 foot home run from what is now a parking lot. The spot is marked by a home plate commemorating the event. Behind the plate are some decaying concrete bleachers where fans once sat during games. Trees surround these relics of a bygone era with some growing up through the concrete. After that visit, made our way back to my parking spot with an interesting and enormous building mural along the way. LJ recommended the Brick House so I will try it on my next visit.

Copper Penny Pub, located in historic downtown Hot Springs, offers a traditional Irish pub experience with live music, classic American pub food, and a wide selection of beers and spirits. This relaxed tavern is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy authentic Irish cuisine, catch live bands on Thursday through Saturday nights, and watch sports on one of their eight TVs.
Very clean, restrooms very clean. Fried cabbage, corned beef potatoes, bread. A paddy’s punch and a cold coors light. If you’re in downtown Hot Springs after six most places close, but the copper penny pub is open. A must stop and visit

Stopped by this cozy pub in Hot Springs around 9:30 pm and caught the tail end of their live music—definitely added to the relaxed evening vibe. Despite the hour, the place was still buzzing, which might explain the 35-minute wait for our food. Thankfully, our server more than made up for it: friendly, attentive, and top-notch from start to finish. We started with a sampler appetizer and some chicken wings. The wings were a standout—crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Just five minutes after the apps landed, our entrees followed. I went with the fish and chips. The fish was flaky, moist, and refreshingly clean-tasting. While the batter was a bit thick for my preference, the overall dish was satisfying. Even with the kitchen delay, the service and atmosphere made it a worthwhile visit. If you're into good food, great wings, and live music, it’s worth checking out—especially if you’re not in a rush.

The food was great. Spinach dip was awesome and freshly made. Had a Ruben sandwich and was the best Ruben I've had in a while. If you go around the back of the building you can enter there also. Parking is not as crazy either.

Lovely atmosphere! Copper Penny makes me miss Ireland, Very authentic. I had the Guiness fish and chips. The fish was wonderfully juicy with a nice, crisp crust. The slaw was somewhat bland, but the chips made up for it, so it is all good. Americans don't pull a true B&T, but the two I had were above average. Skye, the bartender, was attentive and knowledgeable about the area and the changes over the last 10 years. I grew up here, so it was interesting, and I will be driving through the areas she suggested. If you get to Hot Springs, stop by and have a meal and a B&T or Oatmeal Stout!

The wings are fantastic, they are large and well sauced. The batter wasn't overly salty either. The blue cheese sauce had big hunks of blue cheese in it and they give you plenty. I also got a spicy burger however one of the raw jalapeño slices on it wasn't cored of seeds so my first bite was in-edibly hott. After I took that peice out it was delicious. I thought the menu was unique and the food was fresh. Our server was very attentive and there was even live music which created a fun atmosphere on a Friday. Theres some cabbage and corned beef items on the menu id love to go back and try. Theres some traditional bar food and some more unique offerings you dont see everyday.

Nestled in a strip mall, J&S Italian Villa may seem unassuming from the outside, but it's a different story once you step inside. The restaurant exudes elegance and offers a range of traditional Italian dishes such as pasta, seafood, and veal entrees. Opened by Saddiq Mir and his wife Jeannie, this upscale eatery has quickly gained popularity among locals and visitors alike.
Wow! This was an incredible experience! We came for a very special night our anniversary dinner we did make reservations which I highly suggest you do. They sat us in a more secluded room which was amazing! The food was amazing! My husband had the steak and I had the Alfredo! The drinks were ok I have had better martinis. I would return though you can tell the pasta is handmade and it was very good! The waitress was kind I know it was crazy busy so she was in a bit of a rush.

First time visit. Greeted warmly by the manager and quickly seated. Through casual conversation with the server, we expressed that my mom had perished the day before. The owner and server expressed sincere condolences. We were even treated to a complimentary dessert board from the owner with a personal message on the plate written in chocolate. This is how the food service industry should be. Take care of your guests, personalize your service, within reason, and provide great food and service. We will be back.

The food was more of an American take on Italian cuisine, heavy on the cheese. Drinks were light on the liquor, and I had to request an extra shot on the side. While the atmosphere lacked charm, the service was excellent. Expanding the wine list and improving the aesthetics could elevate the experience. For a more intimate setting and a stellar wine selection, Via Roma is the better choice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ J&S Italian Villa Five stars, without hesitation! This was our first visit to J&S Italian Villa, and from the moment we walked in, we were treated to a dining experience that exceeded all expectations. We started with the large charcuterie board, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It came loaded with a wide selection of fresh meats, cheeses, fruits, and breads — everything was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a treat, and it set the tone for the rest of the evening. I ordered the lobster, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly rich and flavorful. My lemon drop martini was equally impressive — smooth, balanced, and just the right amount of tart. My two friends ordered the salmon, lobster pasta, and both the white and red sangrias — all of which they raved about. My husband went with the medium rare lamb chops, and they were top notch — tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Our children enjoyed their own meals of chicken Alfredo and steak, and even they couldn’t stop talking about how good everything tasted. We all left completely full and so satisfied. What really stood out beyond the food was the service. Our waitress was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. Partway through our meal, a gentleman who we believe was either the owner, manager, or head chef came out to check on our table. He genuinely cared about our experience and wanted to make sure everything was to our liking — and it absolutely was. The whole evening felt like art — both for the taste buds and the eyes. Beautiful presentation, incredible flavors, and such a warm atmosphere. We’re already planning to come back before our trip is over, just to experience this level of food and hospitality again. J&S Italian Villa is a gem, and we’re so glad we found it.

Absolutely incredible food, service, and atmosphere. I'm visiting from out of town with my family and we had a wonderful dining experience. The chef does an amazing job with the food, everything was seasoned perfectly and well prepared; steaks cooked exactly as we ordered and seafood/pasta dishes were great. The service was upscale (fitting for the setting and quality) and we left very happy with our choice. If this isn't the best restaurant in Hot Springs then I'd love to know the competition. Thank you to Saddiq and team for a wonderful night out. On a side note: the first time I looked at the picture of the facade I was skeptical, but reviews were excellent so we gave it a chance. Best decision ever. Applause to the fine owner and establishment - you blew our minds!

We checked into our hotel at 7:45 pm and noticed the restaurant within walking distance. We arrived at 8:10 and they sat us right away. We felt a little bad bc we learned they close at 9 but that was no issue. We had no knowledge of the restaurant and were blown away by the service and quality. I believe this is the best italian food we have had in years. My daughters had the Chicken Alfredo and I had the eggplant parmesan appetizer. Also, don’t skip on the dessert. Treat yourself!

The Avenue Restaurant At The Waters Hotel offers a contemporary setting with a focus on American classic dishes and cocktails. It has received the TripAdvisor 2019 Certificate of Excellence Winner. The menu features a variety of delectable items such as Crab Cake Starters, herb-crusted lamb chops, pan-seared salmon, and Pomodoro Primavera. The restaurant provides a classy atmosphere with options for both people-watching by the windows or enjoying privacy at high-top tables.
The food at The Avenue was absolutely delicious! The eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared. It was rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The real standout, though, was the roasted potatoes—soft and pillow-like on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. The atmosphere was equally delightful; warm, inviting, and the perfect setting for a relaxing brunch. Can’t wait to go back!

We went here for dinner. Headsup, if you're hungry and want your food to be available fast, this is not the place for you. We were told to sit anywhere. As soon as we sat, the server gave us water and took our orders. Thats when the waiting game starts, we ordered the ossobucco and the broken beef meatloaf, server said it will take 25 mins which we are initially ok. So we ordered crab cake as appetizer. That took about 30 mins before it was served to us. The crab cake was so good. You can actually see big chunks of crab meat on it. It took another 20 mins from the time time that we finished the appetizer to the time my entree was served. Ossobucco was fantastic, it was so tender and flavorful. The collared greens that comes with it was tad salty for my taste. So it took almost 1 hour for us to get our entree in total. Dont get me wrong, the food was phenomenal but with the wait time, i dont known if its worth it.

THE WATERS HOTEL- AVENUE RESTAURANT we stayed at this hotel during spring break. the hotel was fine, food tasted fine, unfortunately we got downstairs at 10:00AM for breakfast and had to wait TWO hours for our food. we had to request a late-check out due to their service and it still wasn’t enough, we had to rush upstairs to get our luggage. there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant. didn’t make sense. public customers who were NOT staying at the hotel arrived, got seated and served food before we were ever helped. service on the rooftop bar was terrible as well, the same two people serving at the bar were the same two people serving breakfast. for $700+ per night we definitely expected a different experience. we will not be back. waiting two hours for food is NOT WORTH VACATION TIME. they were also out of gravy and jelly.

If you looked at old reviews, disregard. New cook and staff, also bar upstairs is great now Hotel is real piece of unique history. Don’t miss the Ohio club next door. This was about 1 month ago. Thanks Chef. Pictures: No Urinal is clean it’s original. Ohio club and hotel rooftop bar.

We sat for about 15 minutes without any service while the wait staff argued over who would take our table. The table behind us arrived after we did, yet they were served drinks and placed their order right away. When we finally got up to leave, no one acknowledged us. I asked if anyone was planning to serve our table, and the response was that they were still trying to figure it out. It was especially disappointing because we were greeted so warmly by the host, but the experience ended with us walking out without ever being served.

Went here about 10am for Brunch New Year’s Eve, table of 2. I was looking for somewhere that had Shrimp and grits and could nail it and they definitely did. My love got the Birria Chilaquilles it was an amazing flavor for everything in one bite. We also had one cocktail each. They are seasonal. The waitress we had was very enthusiastic and tentative. Definitely will be back

We had an extremely pleasing experience at this restaurant. The staff made us feel welcome, when we walked in the door, without sounding forced. Within no time, we had water on our table and a drink order. It was a hot day - this had much more importance than it otherwise would. I ordered a martini while my partner ordered a blackberry bramble. The martini was excellent and I had a sip of the blackberry bramble - it was good. For food, I ordered The Avenue omelet (it contained cheese, onion, potato, and shaved ribeye), my partner ordered the dish with eggs, tortilla chips, and some meat (a chilaquiles dish?) it looked delicious and she said it was filling and wonderful. The decor accented the space well, the lights were low-key and had a color that highlighted the art work on the walls - the atmosphere was perfect.

The owner of this establishment needs to step in with the staff. When you have to stare at employees standing around talking, while getting ZERO service, and they do everything they can to not make eye contact, it's an embarrassment (we were seated, and after more then 15 minutes were never spoken too and another table was seated 10 minutes later and got waters and ordered food while we were still waiting for the first person to speak to us) . I wish I was a vulgar, outspoken patron that would have stood up and made a scene, but that is wholly unfair to the other customers that are paying for their meal. This is the first time I have ever stood up and walked out of a restaurant. The management of this establishment needs to step in to correct this restaurant before I would ever imagine going back.

Specializing in modern American cuisine, VAULT pays meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a memorable culinary journey for guests. After being turned away from another local restaurant, we were already in a bad and hungry mood! We had our youngest (he's 8) with us as well- which can hamper the fine dining experience. I called ahead to make sure we wouldn't be turned away. The hostess was kind and quickly got us a reservation for 10 minutes later. When we arrived we were seated by the open kitchen. Usually I don't like this but it was quickly apparent how fresh the food was prepared and how well run they kept the service line. Then we open the menu- boom 💥 it lights up! This was our son's first experience In a fine dining setting. He was very amused (as we were too) They promptly brought out their honey butter yeast rolls. Delicious! First we started with oysters, pork belly and French onion soup. Pork belly was amazing, French onion soup had excellent flavor. Oysters were decent- but we are from New Orleans and hold oysters to a VERY high standard. We had filet, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, carrots and crispy potatoes. Everything was delicious, especially the mushrooms. Had to save some for my husband to even get a bite! Filet was properly cooked and good temperature. The executive chef came to our table and started a conversation. We gave him honest feedback (even on the oysters lol) and he received it very well. He even brought our son some French fries (he was very grateful). He was very friendly and we enjoyed the conversation. Lastly for dessert, we ordered the vanilla strawberry rhubarb cheesecake. It was phenomenal and fresh. The best cheesecake I've had in years. Crust was perfection 👌 not too thick. If you are wondering if you should eat here- yes. Very pleased with the outcome of food. The ONLY thing that made this experience less enjoyable was our server. He seemed to forget about us a few times- but everyone else was attentive enough to make up for his slacking. Also, by his own admition, he was "very new here" Go ahead, make the reservation, or call the hostess. Eat the delicious food- held to the standards of some very particular foodies from NOLA.

What a cool place for special occasions. There is a private "vault" for you very own dining experience but you must reserve it. Upstairs bar lounge is very chill and the little hangout spots are perfect for hanging with friends. The food was not whatnitnsgould have been at that price. $48 for three scallops and mine were sandy....it happens with scallops so I let it go.

The Vault was better than any Vegas reasurants I've eatten at. Rhianna was our [Incredible] server. She gave the best suggestions. The Chef made a personal visit to our table just to make sure we LOVED our dinner. Some of our meals: Asian inspired porkbelly, Cajun inspired shrimp and grits, and others. Cost was incredibly reasonable for a 5-star meal ANYWHERE. Zero-Zero beer was a plus. The atmosphere was quiet, fine dining. Business casual friendly I am guessing.
Thomas M — Google review
The food and drinks were amazing for our first visit to the Vault; we were celebrating our 22nd anniversary. The atmosphere and service was wonderful! Romantic, dim lighting, lighted menus for ease of ordering was cool. Our server Scott was even better than we had heard from friends who had been there. He took care of us like we had been there many times before. Very nice yeast rolls warm from oven, with sweet honey. Blistered sushito peppers for appetizer was very tasty; Grouper special was divine that night, mushroom soup with bacon and bleu cheese crumbles was awesome. The ny strip special was very nice for my husband. Carrot cake to share was delicious! Smoked old fashioned was great, cucumber & jalapeno margarita was very fresh and tasty. Also had jalapeno infused lemon drop martini. Can't say enough good things about our experience. Will definitely go back and take friends! Love this place!
Becky H — Google review
We had an amazing meal here! Best restaurant bread ever hands down and the Brussel sprouts were amazing and so was our strip. However, the service did not match the price point. Our server seemed annoyed, sarcastic, and we felt like a nuisance to her. We had been looking forward to this night for a while and though our food was good, her attitude was unfortunately the most memorable part.

My wife and I were led to the back room which is a converted vault where we had a private dining experience for her birthday. The vault room set the stage for the most unique and memorable dining experience we have had in Arkansas. The food and service was great. Soft music was playing in the room but we were easily able to talk and enjoy each other's company. High recommend.
Michael D — Google review
The vault was fantastic! The food and service were top notched. Can’t go wrong with any of the food! The vault oysters and yellow fin tuna were my favorite. The New York strip was also amazing with the foie gras cognac butter. Will be visiting again for a birthday or special occasion.

Tiny Town is a family-run attraction that showcases a collection of intricately crafted miniature villages and an interactive model railroad. The Moshinskie family has dedicated over 75 years to meticulously creating this sprawling exhibit, using homemade materials like recycled aluminum foil, sawdust, tin cans, coat hangers, toothpicks, paper clips, and matches.
We have been trying to locate this place for many years and we finally found it and it was absolutely incredible! Highly recommend going to it! Just fascinating and worth the visit! So much work and love was put into it and it's just wonderful to see something cared for that much! All ages loved seeing it! Will be back!

This was such a cute little display. I love that the son of the gentleman that built it was there to explain how his father had put it all together. The nice lady at the front desk was kind and patient with my little ones. It didn’t take long to see but the kids went around the whole thing a few times and loved pushing all the buttons. A must see if you have a little train enthusiast in the family.

Tiny Town was so interesting. The large scale model trains, villages, and people were awesome with little details everywhere. The lady working up front was very nice and had funny stories. The little shop in the front had some cool items for sale.

Don't miss this fascinating town in miniature with several model trains, detailed landscapes, shops, buildings, airplanes, cars, people, and a Pennsylvania farm. It is enormous and meticulously constructed! Hot Springs ought to house this in a special building on Central and support its care and maintenance for all to see. Jefferson Texas is a great example how this can be done.

Best Cafe & Bar is a charming and delightful spot located within the historic Best Motel. The cafe offers a modern diner-like space and serves up some of the most delicious breakfast options in Hot Springs. Guests rave about the creme brulee french toast, cinnamon rolls, avocado toast, and the amazing chicken and waffles. The cozy rooms at Best Court Cottage are also highly recommended for a comfortable stay.
I highly recommend the best cafe. They were very helpful with my red meat allergy and have lots of alpha gal friendly food including duck bacon!! The waitress was so sweet and attentive even with them being busy we did not need for anything without her right there before we even knew we needed it. The only reason for a 4 on food is because, as delicious as the crème brûlée French toast was, there were a few parts that were just bread with no flavor. The chicken Benny was amazing. Their speciality drinks were so good including the flight of mimosas. They are able to mix different options for the flight as we got apple pineapple mixed.
Astosia F — Google review
We went on a Saturday around brunch time and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table outside - no problem. So we decided to check out Best Court (cute rentals), sat at a picnic table and enjoyed our surroundings. When we were seated we had a perfect amount of time to look at the menu and decide on our food and drinks before the server got to us. I got the Eggs Benny with home fries and an iced mocha and my partner (vegetarian) requested an omelette with veggies and cheese and a blood orange mimosa. The Benny was AMAZING! The omelette was kind of oily my partner said but flavorful. The potatoes looked amazing but were lacking in flavor. Unfortunately, our drinks did not arrive until we were 3/4 of the way finished with our meals (we did have waters). My partner said her mimosa was 10/10 - so so good! My mocha was awful and only took a sip. I hoped they would have removed it from the bill, but they did not (I did not ask). Also, there were up charges for a veggie omelette that were not announced to us as we were ordering which would have been nice ($2 grilled tomatoes/peppers, $1 cheese and $.75 for spinach and $16 for 3 eggs to make up omelette). All and all, it was good but we would definitely ask more questions next time / they should disclose prices better.
Rachel M — Google review
I had the "Build your own omelet" and I have not had a better omelet in decades. Nice and fluffy, cooked all the way through, high quality cheddar cheese-not the cheap stuff, freash veggies. The potatoes had bell peppers and onions, herbs, home made jamb on homemade biscuits and real cream for my coffee ☕️ not those little plastic creamer. Come here and bless Captain Kirk our waiter, he is very accommodating and a great way to start the day! Pretty hoast will greet you. Good music too! And the Motel Inn next door called "Best Court" are part of the restaurant are great. Clean linen, comfy beds, nice pillows. Windows that open to let freash air in.

We visited Best Cafe & Bar on the Fourth of July for a girls brunch and were seated right away on the patio, a lovely surprise on a holiday! Even with the summer heat, the shaded tent and fans made it super comfortable. The mimosas? Top tier. Light, fresh, and exactly what you want on a hot day. We shared the Eggs Benny, Bagel and Lox, and the Gouda Grits. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. Seriously, everything hit the spot! We also noticed the dog friendly environment, which we loved! Although we didn’t bring along our furry companions, others had theirs and the servers were just as attentive to them as they were to us - making sure they had plenty of water in their bowl for the summer heat. One small note: once the food came out, the flies on the patio got a little too friendly. Totally understandable for outdoor dining, but perhaps adding some table-top fly fans or a few more overhead fans could help keep them away. It didn’t ruin our experience at all, but it was a bit distracting. All in all, a fantastic brunch spot with amazing food, great service, and a vibe we’ll definitely be back for!

It was a nice little breakfast place. The food was 4.5*. It was really good. The service left a bit to be desired. We had a 9 am late lunch. They weren't super busy. We had a 9 top and told them to split us up which they did. They served one table drinks and took 15-20 minutes to serve the second table. I digress, the food was slow but when it came out it was delicious. We had two kids meals. Our daughter had the grilled cheese and fruit. They chose not to tell us that wasn't included and rather then ask what was included they just served it with no other side AND charged us $7 for it. The manager comped it when asked about it but they definitely wouldn't have if we didn't ask. Found that a little shady. Overall it was a good experience but pay attention to your bill. I had the buffalo chicken and eggs (I forgot the actual name) it was EXCELLENT. The avocado toast was good as well. Prices were also a bit high but that's to be expected in a tourist town.

I stopped in at Best Cafe today because I have heard a lot of good things about this place. It didn't disappoint! I sat at the bar because the place was pretty full. Cody was working the bar, and he did a great job of taking care of everything even though he was very busy. He makes a great latte, too! I ordered the pork belly hash, and it was amazing! The pork has seasoning, similar to what I taste in curry or raman dishes. The squash brings a nice sweetness to the dish, and the eggs are poached perfectly.

A cute little breakfast/brunch spot just a mile or so from the Bathhouse Row,. The servers are super friendly, the drinks are great, and the food is to die for. I have the chicken and waffles, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had.
AJ F — Google review
I’m so glad we brought our dog on this trip because we came across so many amazing restaurants just by googling “dog friendly restaurants”. This was hands down the best place we ate at as far as food quality and service goes. Everything we tried was AMAZING! You can tell the eggs are sourced from grass fed operations by the rich orange color of the yolks. Two things you HAVE to try if you come here are the Crème Brûlée French Toast and the smoked duck bacon, but everything we tried was seriously so good. My fiancé and I split the shrimp and grits and the best breakfast platter with spicy bloody Marys and the mimosa flight to drink. The blood orange and the prickly pear were our favorite mimosas. This is a must visit when you’re in Hot Springs. We will DEFINITELY be coming back. Shout out to our server Addy for the amazing service and being so accommodating with our dog. We also thought it was really cool of the owner/manager to let the hostess bring her baby to work. I cannot recommend this place enough. Also, really affordable considering the quality of food you get.

Absolutely my favorite hidden gem of Hot Springs! Go to place for breakfast or brunch, whenever out of towners come asking for recommendations I always list this place #1, and bring family and friends who come visit. My best friends go to is always the Chilaquiles, and my favorite recommended to me by the waiters on one of our first visits is the Pambaso! The drinks are amazing, my favorite being the Cafesito, or Horchata cold brew, my favorite shot being the French toast shot! Definite must tries!

Wow this place was fantastic. Can't wait to go back when I return. We visited on a Friday around 3pm and everything we had was great. It took a little while for our waitress to come over but once she did everything after that service wise was great. We had some happy hour margs which were great. The carne asada quesadilla and the verde salsa were both amazing. I can't wait to go back and try the chilaquiles.

The Maxwell Blade Show in Hot Springs, Arkansas, was an absolutely fantastic experience! Maxwell Blade is an incredible performer who keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. He was especially interactive with all the kids in our group, making them feel like part of the magic, which was such a special touch. The show itself was a perfect mix of humor, illusions, and entertainment, leaving us all amazed. The historic venue adds to the charm, and you can tell Maxwell truly loves what he does. If you’re visiting Hot Springs, this is a must-see show for all ages! Highly recommend!

Sure, we all love Hot Springs, Arkansas for its natural beauty and the restorative, healing spring waters found here; however, you will find that the real fountain of inspiration, awe, and wonder resides within the walls of Maxwell Blade’s Theatre of Magic and Curiosity Museum. Blade’s show doesn’t disappoint. It is exactly what you think it will be and more. He is truly a master of illusion, and his show is the best, most fun experience this town has to offer. You will leave mystified and thinking about the tricks, performers, and show long after it ends. Long live Maxwell Blade and the historic Malco Theatre!

What a fun show in a historic theatre! Everyone in our party (ages 10-51) thoroughly enjoyed themselves, but I think it was probably the 10-year-old's favorite part of our entire trip. Maxwell Blade, his cast, and the theatre staff were all awesome and the theatre itself is very cool. So glad we went! If you see the bad reviews, just remember you're seeing a magic show in Hot Springs, Arkansas - it's not Vegas. We feel like we saw a great show for the price paid and everyone had a good time. :)

It’s more than just a show, it’s an unforgettable experience that stays with you long after the final curtain call. If you’re in Hot Springs, do yourself a favor and make this part of your trip. Cedar Glades Park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering an array of trails including Green, Blue and Black single-track, multi-track, flow trails, jump lines and the challenging Lucky 13 expert section. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the bike skills park at the trailhead. The park also features scenic spots such as Balanced Rock along the Sugarloaf Mountain section and offers various activities for families with kids.
This is the nicest park I’ve been to that offers both a play ground for kids to play but also plenty of natural features that you can feel like you’re out in the mountains somewhere instead of just at a park. I really felt like the tree house was such a unique feature to add as well and my kids love it. I would recommend this park if you need to relax and want something not super stimulating!
