Jewel of the South is a charming restaurant in New Orleans known for its garden courtyard and delectable offerings. From cocktails to caviar and steaks to Sunday brunch, this place has it all. The city's oyster bars like Acme and Felixs offer an authentic New Orleans vibe, where you can enjoy fresh oysters in a laid-back atmosphere. Cooter Browns, located along the St.
Visited for a private party in their upstairs area. They were super accommodating and friendly. This place is known for their bar, and it shows. We enjoyed solid wine and world-class cocktails. The food was also quite good. I would love to visit again someday. Thank you Jewel of the South for your hospitality!

Some of the best drink I ever had. They are so well balanced, unique, and tasty. The one with the cardamom cordial is fantastic. The food was very good and eclectic. I usually don’t like tongue but the way they prepared it was very good. I will definitely be back.

Dined during Tales. Fabiana, Stefanie took care of me as I ate most of the menu, by myself, had 6 cocktails (complimentary due to the event in bar area), a glass of Champagne which they were kind enough to provide despite not offering wine during the event, and dessert. I had a nice time. This is a good restaurant
Zach W — Google review
The food is unique and delicious - flavors I haven't had in decades, unique combinations, fun and adventurous items. This is a special treat, a fun night out, perfect for a date night or a celebration..smaller group is better. If you have picky eaters in the group maybe not ideal, but if you like to try new things and delight your palate with unexpected flavors, this is the perfect place.

PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SINGLE TABLE IN THE ALLEYWAY. We arrived at the restaurant at around 6pm on a Monday and were told that the only thing available would be a table on the sidewalk, and service would be provided to us through a door from the bar. We took it. What we weren’t told, however, is that it was literally the only table out in that alleyway, steps away from the restaurant’s garbage area. Although the door connects to the bar, it stayed shut most of the time when someone was not taking the order or bringing the dishes, which kept us completely out on our own. When it got dark, it was dim and eerie with no one else around, except some turtle-bean-sized flies attacking the food. And if you are lucky like us, you might also get a homeless person yelling “Everyone having a good time?”, approaching you for food and money. At one point, a restaurant staff ran past us to throw away trash, nervously, as if they didn’t want to stay out for a second longer. Even though we enjoyed the food and would very much like a second round of drinks, we felt too uneasy to stay and really didn’t want to push our luck. Outdoor dining usually means access to fresh air and a view of lively streets for us, but in this case only anxiety (and we’re travelling from NYC). Had anything happened to us, I don’t think the restaurant would be able to act on it. So let me repeat this: PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SINGLE TABLE IN THE ALLEYWAY, for the safety and wellbeing of your guests, even if it means you have to turn them away. Speaking as a diner, I would rather walk out in disappointment than be seated there.

Wow! Just wow! I must say that I have not enjoyed a meal or dining experience this much in years! The attention to detail, the service, the knowledge of the staff, the teamwork, the food, the cocktails, the atmosphere. All were impeccable. Each course that I ordered out did the previous one. Heirloom tomatoes and Wagyu tongue stole the show, but the asparagus was phenomenal and the Eccles for dessert was paired so well with some Stilton! Thank you for such a great and unique experience. Kudos the chef and staff!
Jonathan D — Google review
The food at Jewel of the South was absolutely amazing! Every dish was packed with flavor, and the cocktails were next-level good. The service was just as great, super friendly and attentive without being over the top. You can really tell they care about what they do. The only thing that kept it from being a full 5 stars was that the inside area felt a little tight and got pretty loud, which made it hard to chat at times. Still, the energy was fun and lively, and I’d definitely come back. Totally worth it!
Liam H — Google review
This review is based on the mocktail and service. I asked the server about the mocktails and what the “Mockly Tangerine” was in the Tangerine Daisy drink, like whether it was a N/A spirit or mix. She had no idea and instead asked me what my question was. The drink was bad and tasted really watery with a hint of orange. For a bar that’s ranked “Top 50 Bars in the World”, I’d expect the drinks to be better and the server to know what’s in the drinks.

Bacchanal Fine Wine & Spirits is a charming wine and cheese store located in the trendy Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. The venue features a lush back patio adorned with fairy lights, where patrons can enjoy live music while indulging in globally inspired small plates and an extensive selection of wines. The atmosphere is described as bohemian yet sophisticated, attracting a diverse crowd of locals and visitors alike.
Bacchanal is a truly unique experience. There are two options for dining available. Self-service outside style or inside seated. We chose to sit outside and listen to some nice, live jazz music while enjoying a couple of bottles of wine and superb appetizers. This was in May, so it was pretty “warm” 🥵but they do have several fans to keep the air moving around. Parking is difficult so I suggest getting dropped off.

Wow! We absolutely loved this place tonight. My wife and I go to dinner frequently in New Orleans. This is hands down one of the coolest experiences we have ever had. Super laid back atmosphere. No table service so you don’t have a server making you feel rushed to get out. Really nice outdoor patio with live music. The music started at 7pm tonight. It’s like a DIY at your own pace restaurant. I loved that about this place. GO. CHECK. IT. OUT!

Simply fantastic. What a great spot to enjoy amazing music, great food and a true oasis of a space. We came as a group of 8 and absolutely loved everything about this spot. Great wine, great food, great cocktails and beers. What more could you truly want. A 12/10 experience. If you come to New Orleans come here! And get the pork belly holy best pork belly I’ve had in a minute!

This feels like a place you’d see in an HBO finale where all the hot late 20s to 30 or 40 something’s meet up in the season finale to have a celebratory send-off of some kind. If like the vibes of Sideways were a restaurant. Truly unique dining experience. Food was great. Drinks were fantastic. Music was delightful. Service is top notch. Property is adorable. Will scream this recommendation from rooftops for anyone visiting NOLA. 5/5 will return at some point.
Eric M — Google review
Amazing food!! It was confusing to understand their set up at first, but, they have a small place downstairs where you can buy wine and you either take it home or take it upstairs to the restaurant and have it with the food you are gonna order. In the back there is a patio with occasional live music. Seriously… amazing food!
Daniele ( — Google review
What a magical patio. Great atmosphere, music, and people. You definitely get a community vibe as you hang out over wine and small bites. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The charcuterie board was massive. Diverse offering of spirits.
Nico S — Google review
Wonderful spot that I hope to get back to one day. A friend brought us there while we were visiting for a few days in New Orleans! All cities should have a spot like this. It's the best wine shop/cheese/art and music experience out there. Simple, clever, fun. Delicious charcuterie board and wonderful music.
Zheina P — Google review
Such a great experience, love the concept. You go pick your own cheese wine and meats from their little market and they create a charcuterie board adding olives pickles and bread bringing it to your table. Live music and beautiful outdoor space! Highly recommend!

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro is a historic venue in New Orleans, offering live jazz music and upscale Creole cuisine in an intimate setting with brick walls dating back to the 1800s. The bistro has been a staple of the city's music scene for over 30 years, hosting renowned musicians and providing a platform for young talent to gain real-world experience. While it used to feature live music seven nights a week, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to changes in its schedule.
We dined there because we came to see a jazz band performance. They have dining room and performance room. Rooms are separate but you could here a concert while you're dining. Menu and prices are typical for the New Orleans restaurants. The performance room menu offers drinks and light snacks. The room itself is small and cozy. We enjoyed the performance very much.

I loved the shrimp Po Boy! And the shrimp deviled eggs. Never had anything like that. The music was good. Staff were nice and attentive. My wife had the gumbo, fantastic.
Anthony G — Google review
I wanted an authentic, jazz experience in a quieter setting than a bar, and this exceeded every expectation! The food was delicious! I had the BBQ shrimp, which was divine. The music room is a quant room where you really feel up close with the artists. We loved being able to sit and just enjoy the music. 10/10 recommend for your trip!

An Unforgettable Evening with Charlie Gabriel and Larry Sieberth at The Listen Room What an incredible night of music! Charlie Gabriel and Larry Sieberth delivered unforgettable performances at The Listen Room, showcasing their masterful talent and musical chemistry. Gabriel’s soulful playing and warm stage presence, paired with Sieberth’s nuanced, expressive piano, created a magical atmosphere from start to finish. The Listen Room itself added to the experience — an intimate, cozy venue that offered a close-up view of these legendary performers. The acoustics were spot-on, and the setting made the audience feel like part of something truly special. It was a rare and beautiful night where music, setting, and spirit came together perfectly. A must-see experience for any true music lover.

We saw Ray Brown tribute with the Gavin Eckler Trio. They are amazing! The sound system did a great job for the space in the room. We had dinner before the concert and food and drinks were good quality and fresh. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.
Arlene W — Google review
We weren't able to see the jazz performance, but the food was terrific! We ordered the grilled salmon, fish marigny either a side of jambalaya, cup fo seafood gumbo, baked potato, and red beans and rice with chicken tenders. All of the food were delectable! The seafood gumbo was rich in flavor. The jambalaya was cooked well. I especially loved the fish marigny and grilled salmon! Come by for the food, stay for the jazz. Or is it the other way around? Either way, visit this restaurant and jazz bar. You won't regret it. Plus, it's a good place to start your trek along Frenchmen St.
Jetz-Marion C — Google review
What a great time seeing the huge Jazz band play on Wednesday the 29th. Very entertaining and a great historical feel. Loved it and highly recommend checking this place out. MAKE SURE TO BUY TICKETS! This is not a walk in show.

Decent place, would probably go again. Ordered quite a few New Orleans classics, and was not disappointed. The place itself has a lot of art and you can go listen to some live music inside.

Live music bar
The Spotted Cat Music Club is a renowned jazz and blues venue in New Orleans, known for its intimate and lively atmosphere. The weathered bar hosts live acts on a small stage, drawing in a standing-room crowd eager to experience the velvety tones of sax, swing of trombone, and soul-thumping beat of drums.
Got to witness some excellent jazz at the Spotted Cat Music Club even on a Monday night! Only a $5 pp cover charge to enter after which you can stay for as long as you like. Reasonable cocktails, beer and a safe but lively atmosphere. We managed to grab a couple of seats along the wall and had a great view, but other than those and the seats at the bar, the club is standing room only. It filled out quickly post dinner for the 21:30 show. Check out the schedule on their website to know who is playing when and plan your visit accordingly.
Krati T — Google review
Good logo, cool building, good merch and great jazz Came here to watch an enthusiastic ensemble perform funk swing covers of pop classics while my friend browsed an art market next door. As I entered I was somewhat frustrated in my friends’ decision to browse the art market after finally dragging them to Frenchmen street after a week in New Orleans. At this point I was not waiting any longer to quench my thirst for jazz. The band were incredible, and had so much energy. One of the best trumpet players I’ve seen and value for entry was not bad!
Max R — Google review
My Uber driver told me to check this place out and I'm so glad that I did. The music was amazing! I ended up staying longer than I originally thought I would but the show was so amazing and engaging. It's a very small venue so be prepared to be a bit crowded but it's so worth it. They had a lot of options for drinks and despite how busy it was the bartender was still very helpful. One of those spots where you feel like you travel back in time.
Fi — Google review
An upbeat fun experience. Casual vibe and great music. You have to work your way through the crowd to get to the bar for a drink but once you do you will be greeted with fast service. Check them out. Great tunes.
Scott R — Google review
There is a cover charge. Great little club for live music & the band & vibe was great. No food. Not many Non alcoholic drink options. Very limited seating, standing room is most likely what you will have available. The locals are absolutely awesome! Glad we stopped in while in town.
Athena P — Google review
We went in search of an intimate, no-frills NOLA jazz experience—and this spot exceeded all expectations! The cozy stage set the perfect tone, and every musician was absolutely fantastic. The cocktail menu had some unique and creative options, and there was plenty of standing room with a few stools scattered around for when you needed a break. It captured the essence of New Orleans perfectly—laid-back, soulful, and unforgettable.
Srinjana D — Google review
Some of the BEST music in NOLA. Music all of the time after 2pm. We saw Jenavieve and the Winding boys, they were phenomenal. Please tip the bands, that's how they survive. Tall boy domestic cans at a decent price. Friendly bartenders. Nice selection of specialty cocktails, but they'll make you anything you want. Frenchman St is a must when visiting New Orleans.

Cocktail bar
Takeout Restaurant
Small plates restaurant
Cure is a stylish cocktail lounge located in a former firehouse on Freret Street in New Orleans. It played a significant role in revitalizing the city's cocktail culture, offering an eclectic array of creative drinks and an impressive selection of spirits. The bar has received numerous accolades and was recognized as one of America's Best Bars by Esquire and one of the Best Cocktail Bars in the U.S. by Food & Wine.
In a city full of cocktail bars, this has hands-down been our go-to spot for the last 5 years. Each time we come to Cure, it is the same stellar service and drinks. Their happy hour, liquor selection, as well as their daily punch (always refreshing and fun) is incredible. You cannot go wrong with any drink from their staples to their seasonal menu. Additionally, if they have it, they will make it (Cock N' Bull). Their drinks were actually the inspiration for our speciality cocktails at our wedding. Our favorite spot to sit is at the bar so that we can talk with the bartenders. Outside is also great- we've even gone outside in hot months but the fans and shade make it enjoyable. We have brought family and friends here over the past few years, and they constantly rave about it. The whole staff is great and hospitable. Huge shout out to Liz Kelley who has made each visit spectacular and is always welcoming. Multiple times, I have been unsure about what I wanted/ wanted to try something new and her suggestions have never disappointed. No matter how long its been since we've seen her, we just pick up conversation like it was yesterday. Overall, the whole staff is great. For food, it's hard to pick favorites... but if we had to it would be the mushroom toast. The deviled eggs are also up there and are something I now make for holidays thanks to Cure book we received as a wedding gift.

this little hole of a gem is so fancy and nice we eat the food so good even outside.. my mother in law loves the place so much not as much as me though.. i dont know which server it was but one of them was messing with me., although i left the tip properly, i really enjoyed my drink. WAY better than anything on Bourbon Street!!

Cure is one of my favorite spots for happy hour. It strikes the perfect balance between upscale and laid-back. The cocktails are always excellent, and the staff is incredibly attentive. I really like the charcuterie plates. This time we tried the trout dip and it was amazing! Highly recommend this place.
Tara — Google review
My friends and I stopped into Cure for drinks and apps before dinner, and it was such a great spot to kick off the night. The drinks were tasty and well-crafted, and the apps were light and flavorful. Just note that they’re definitely small plates—perfect for sharing, but I’d say 4 people max per dish if you’re splitting. Chill vibe, great drinks, and a nice way to start the evening!
Tay — Google review
The food 5 stars is substituted for cocktails for this review. Named #1 bar in the US by Food and Wine Magazine in the April 2025 edition, Cure is a low-key, uncrowded bar. I expected a New York scene, with 600 people crowding into a space for 100. Not so. I’m here on a Saturday night at 5pm and it’s half empty. Happily, I sit and order the XO Sidecar. Delicious and citrusy, it quenches and delivers. Next up is the This Time Tomorrow #2, which is a whiskey sour with lemongrass, banana and chai. The foaminess from the egg white on top gives it a gin-fizz like texture. It finishes dry, with a slight astringency because of the egg white. Delicious. Great service. Michelin Star quality easily. Come here and forget the French Quarter.
Corky L — Google review
I rarely ever write reviews. The hospitality here is amazing. Liz is a great bartender. So considerate and thoughtful to all her guests. Worth visiting just for her. Honestly she deserves a raise for her service and kindness. Goes above and beyond for all people who come in. Best spot in NOLA easily :)
Veronica N — Google review
I had a 1 person reservation at Cure on a Thursday night because I wanted a few drinks after my early dinner elsewhere. I offered to sit at the bar, but they actually had a full bar so I had a table to myself. To start, I had the La Vida Normal - A breezy, warm weather Old Fashioned featuring malty Japanese whiskey with notes of yuzu, gentian, and sarsparilla root. It had the same usual Old Fashioned flavors but with a yuzu flavor instead of your typical orange. My second drink was the Written Invitation, which according to their website is "Lavender, pear, and alpine aromatics make for a crisp and utterly refreshing whisky sour, evoking a leisurely jaunt through a sunny meadow". I loved this one. As a whisky sour fan, this was like a brighter, summery version. Service was fine, I think they might not have had enough staff for all the tables. I appreciated being left alone to have my drink, but it did take a while to get my second order in and get my check. I'd definitely come back to try the food because a few of the items looked really good.

Preservation Hall, located in the French Quarter of New Orleans, is a historic venue dedicated to preserving and honoring the city's jazz tradition. Established in 1961, this no-frills space with wooden floors and minimal seating offers an intimate and authentic jazz experience. Despite its lack of air-conditioning, it continues to attract crowds eager to witness performances by the renowned Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
In the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans lies Preservation Hall, a legendary venue dedicated to keeping the spirit of traditional New Orleans jazz alive. Since its founding in 1961, this humble space has been filled with the sound of live jazz every single night. There are no microphones, no flashy lights—just the raw energy of the musicians and the pure sound of their instruments. Seating is limited, and sometimes you’ll even find yourself sitting on the floor, but that only makes the experience more authentic and powerful. The resident Preservation Hall Jazz Band tours the world and is considered one of the cultural ambassadors of New Orleans. For any jazz lover, this place is nothing short of sacred. Thanks to its central location in the French Quarter, it’s easy to stop by while exploring the city—but with such limited seating, booking in advance is highly recommended. If you want to experience the true essence of New Orleans at night, Preservation Hall is the place to be.

I had the chance to experience Preservation Hall about ten years ago, and when I returned to New Orleans recently, I didn’t think twice about going back. It was just as amazing as I remembered! The musicians are incredibly talented, and the whole experience feels so authentic. Close your eyes, and it’s like you’re in a movie ❤️absolutely magical. A must-do in NOLA!
Sabrina S — Google review
We had a wonderful time here! Short 45 min concert but sooo entertaining! It’s a small area and you’re right there with the musicians. All of them are so talented and we enjoyed every single minute! Definitely recommend.
Cassie F — Google review
Great jazz venue, talented musicians, friendly staff. I highly recommend attending a concert here if you are visiting New Orleans. Sitting space fills up pretty quickly, so it’s best to purchase tickets in advance.
Olga S — Google review
This was by far the most wonderful experience in such an unexpected way. It was truly authentic jazz music. We felt it in our soul and enjoyed it so much more than we ever expected. Highly recommend. We bought tickets about 2 weeks ahead of time and got to the hall about 30 minutes early. That worked out great.
Erica C — Google review
Never fails to impress everytime I go. The setting is what makes it intimate. Accomodates a small group seated or standing. $25 to stand in the back for a 50 minute set in an atmosphere unlike any other is quite reasonable. An iconic must visit place for jazz/blues fans, or if you love music of any kind. Just pure beautiful acoustic music played for you, no mics or equipments. It's a experience like no other.
Rashmi B — Google review
This was the highlight of the trip. If tickets were available, I would have spent the money to go back. If you are a fan of joy and love music this is a must stop. In a little room, 6 musicians just absolutely bring it. We spent money on front row and in all honesty, it was a steal. The only unfortunate thing is they ask you not to photograph or video. Thankfully the memories will be in my head for as long as I have my brain functions. The musicians were awesome…but a special shout out to Ronell Johnson. Not only did he rule the trombone, but stuck around after the show for pictures and laughs until we were out the door. Such an awesome dude.

Wow!!! A must go in your New Orleans visit. The highlight of our family trip… What an amazing experience. We were there on Monday, August 11 for our twins birthday. The music was unforgettable… the band members were so warm, funny and TALENTED! We would love to hear them again. Really ANY seat is perfect because it is a small venue- very intimate. Thank you for making our evening so memorable.

Cocktail bar
Bar
Bar Tonique is a well-regarded bar known for its craft cocktails made with housemade ingredients. The cozy brick space, complete with a fireplace, provides a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patrons. Located near Treme in the French Quarter, this bar stands out from traditional cocktail bars in New Orleans by offering a more laid-back atmosphere while still serving high-quality drinks. The establishment prioritizes equality and diversity within its workforce and aims to dismantle conventional industry hierarchies.
One of the best bar experiences of my life. My favorite bar in New Orleans. We visited the city for 3 days and we went to this bar 4 times. Service is beyond friendly, drinks are outstanding and the lay back vibe is perceivable. Their gin fizz is a show, but their true skill is in my opinion in the way they manage to master classic cocktails like the Sidecar or the Gimlet in a way that should satisfy purists while adding a spin for more daring drinkers. A true highlight of our visit to Crescent City.

Went for a nitecap with my BF birthday girl. Gin selection was small but limited to …great & possibly better. When I mentioned the Botanist the bartender (who was busy) made time to find an amazing recommendation. I as a Bartender, find this place unpretentious , low key& utterly lovely. A bar is only as good as it’s Bartender and for that we thank him. 🤟🏼

On my way to the French Market I just coincidentally saw this bar and almost passed it. I decided to give it a try after seeing the reviews on google. Good choice of cocktails and cheap prices compared to other cocktail bars. Could not complain about the quality of the drinks either. Had a nice chit chat with the bar keeper who was very friendly and helpful. I even returned two days later for more. Thumbs Up

A great visit to New Orlean’s first craft cocktail bar! This bar is a bit more of a dive than I expected. The bar was semi-crowded with all the bar seats full. I ordered at the front. I found it a bit odd I needed to wait at the front for my drinks to be made while the bar was busy, but I’m with it. Service was fast, drinks were affordable and quality. Nothing fancy here, classic cocktails done simple and without the BS.
Daniel M — Google review
If you're looking for fantastic cocktails in New Orleans without any fuss, Bar Tonique is your spot. This "hidden" gem, tucked away at the edge of the French Quarter, offers a surprisingly unique vibe you might not expect from the outside. It's all about the drinks here, and they're superb. The friendly bartender even crafted a custom drink for me, perfectly tailored to my taste, that wasn't even on the menu. Plus, he gave us some great recommendations for bars in New York, which was an unexpected bonus. The cocktails are delicious and come at very fair prices, especially for the quality. We loved it so much, we went two nights in a row! For great cocktails, good value, and an easy-going atmosphere, Bar Tonique is an absolute must-visit.
R C — Google review
Unbelievably good cocktails! The bartender was kind enough to make a Ramos gin and fizz and man was it incredible! Great location across from the park and the vibe was fun and casual. Make this bar a must-visit when you’re in town🍹🍸

Our favorite bar in NOLA. Classic cocktails done really well. Their consistency is perfect. Super friendly and we love the atmosphere.

Great cocktails and informed bartenders. I was curious about trying something I heard of that wasn't on their very extensive menu. Our bartender knew exactly what it was and not only offered to make it (despite it not being on their menu) but seemed excited to do so

Live music venue
Bar
Maple Leaf Bar is a beloved local hangout in New Orleans known for its live music, especially on Tuesday nights when the famous Rebirth Brass Band performs. The bar has an intimate and casual atmosphere, with a hopping dance floor that draws in sweaty, adoring fans. It's popular among locals, university students, and visitors alike.
Classic, old-school music hall. If you're a live music lover the shows here are always top notch. This isn't cover band territory, and some of the best musicians/bands play here regularly. Famous venue, featured in movies and TV shows. Bartenders here are awesome, and there's a nice back patio of you need to chill out for a bit.

This place is legit. Small, intimate, authentic setting. And the music was absolute fire. Happy Organ Hour indeed! WOW! One of the few places I went on my trip to New Orleans that I would visit again.
Deborah S — Google review
I've been going to the Maple Leaf since 1993. There's nothing like it. But maybe I'm a little biased because I bartended there from '99 to '00, I met my wife there, we had our rehearsal dinner there (a crawfish boil, of course), and I even lived upstairs for a little bit.

Lovely bar! Thought $25 was going to be a bit of an overspend for a random off-season show but had a great time. Lovely atmosphere and the owners were very welcoming!

Came on a Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised by the music and the nice vibes! $20 cover fee and they play two sets of music !
Tamar W — Google review
I went to the Maple Leaf Bar not knowing exactly what to expect, and honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of my time in New Orleans. It’s a no-frills, down-to-earth kind of place that’s all about the music—and the music is incredible. The band that night was electric. You could feel the sound in your chest, and the whole crowd moved with it. The vibe inside was packed but friendly, and you could tell most of the people there really cared about the music, not just partying. No one was trying too hard—it felt real and local in the best way.
Miranda L — Google review
One of my primary go-to music venues, which has great music practically every night of the week, always LiveStreamed on YouTube and archived under the Live tab on their channel.
David F — Google review
A completely different venue than anything you'll experience on Bourbon St, MLB is where locals go to see great music. We saw George Porter Jr featuring Chris Adkins and Terrence Houston. Holy cow!! They absolutely knocked our socks off! And to think, the locals can see them perform just about every Monday night! Please do yourself a favor and make sure your trip to NOLA includes Monday night and go see this show. You won't regret it! Pro Tip: Get there ~15 minutes early if you'd like a seat. There are benches on the sides of the venue but other than that it's standing room only.

The Carousel Bar & Lounge, situated in the Hotel Monteleone, is a must-visit spot with its unique circular bar that rotates like a carousel every 15 minutes. It's known for its carefully crafted cocktails such as the Fleur De Lis, featuring gin and St. Germain liquor. The ambiance is enhanced by live music and offers great people-watching opportunities.
Amazing atmosphere, great cocktails, and live music. Visited the carousel bar, which is first come first serve. The bar spins, which is so cool. Nestled inside of Hotel Monteleon. Had a Vieux Carre and a Sazerac. The servers were great. They maintained a keen eye throughout the night. The live entertainment made for an extra great night. Such a great experience at the Carousel Bar & Lounge! This is the perfect hangout spot for professionals or anyone looking to unwind in a classy, laid-back setting. The ambience was chill and inviting, with a live band that set the perfect tone for the night. Of course, the highlight is the carousel bar itself it slowly spins as you sip your drink, which was such a fun and unique experience! The vibe here is truly unmatched. Absolutely incredible experience! A local recommended this place and I’m so glad we listened. The Carousel Bar & Lounge exceeded every expectation. The atmosphere is pure magic - from the beautifully crafted cocktails served in elegant cut crystal glasses to the stunning circular bar with its ornate details and vintage charm. The bartenders are true artists who know their craft inside and out. Every drink was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The live jazz performance under the gorgeous crystal chandeliers with ambient purple lighting created such an intimate, sophisticated vibe. The lounge seating is comfortable and the whole space has that classic New Orleans elegance you dream about. The staff was exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. The unique rotating bar concept adds such a fun element to the experience. This is exactly the kind of place that makes New Orleans special. Whether you’re a visitor or local, The Carousel Bar & Lounge is an absolute must-visit. We’ll definitely be back! Cane and Table is a colonial-style bar in the French Quarter, evoking old Havana with its tiled floors and exposed brickwork. The bar offers innovative rum-based cocktails with tropical flavors, served alongside a Cuban-skewed food menu featuring dishes like beef empanadas and spiced ribs. On weekends, guests can enjoy a bottomless brunch with Caribbean-inspired dishes and mimosas. Additionally, patrons can have their craft cocktails poured into a pineapple or coconut to take on the go.
I am visiting from Dallas. Chose this venue for restaurant week in NOLA. The atmosphere is dark, quaint, and coquettish. The seating is close, and you are surrounded by lovers, first dates, and long friendships. The food portions were satisfactory, but the menu was so creative. The drinks were phenomenal! Drink of choice that night "New Orleans Jockey Club" - be warned I am a sucker for any drink in a coupe glass. I was a reservation of one and felt safe and well attended to. My server, David, was the icing on the cake. Absolutely loved his vibe ❤️. Thank you Cane and Table for a memorable visit to NOLA.

Most likely, probably the best food we had during our weekend trip to NOLA……Unfortunately; I did not appreciate the added/without my consent 20% service charge. Please let me be the one, as a customer, who determines based on the “actual “ service provided, what your tip will be. Other than that; the food was amazing, the atmosphere was relaxed, away from all the mayhem great…. If y oh are looking for a place that offers a different vibe and culinary experience; this is the place….

🌟 Cane & Table: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of New Orleans 🌟 Tucked away in the French Quarter, Cane & Table delivers a dining experience that feels like stumbling upon a secret oasis. From the moment you walk in, the relaxed ambience wraps around you like a warm breeze—dim lighting, rustic charm, and a vibe that whispers “stay awhile.” 🥩 The Food The steak frites were a revelation: perfectly crisp on the outside, tender within, and elevated by a bold chimichurri kick that danced across the palate. Paired with a fragrant side of saffron rice, the flavors were both comforting and adventurous. And just when you think the meal couldn’t get better, the chocolate terrine arrives—rich, velvety, and indulgent without being overpowering. A dessert worth lingering over. 👨‍🍳 The Service Five stars, hands down. The staff were attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without pretension, and genuinely warm. It’s rare to find a crew that makes you feel like both a guest and a friend. ✨ Final Verdict Cane & Table isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a mood, a moment, a memory in the making. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this unexpected surprise is one worth savoring.

This place is only okay. I got the idea to visit this place after seeing a cooking demo they did at Jazz And Heritage Festival. They didn't have a lot of entree options. The appetizer and drink I got was good and the entree was acceptable, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. They also added 20% gratuity to your bill.
Ryan N — Google review
Went for dinner and drinks on our way to see LA LOM play at Toulouse Theater. We got 5 small plates and drinks. Their rum game is on point, I had a New Orleans Daiquiri and a Cane & Table Mai Thai. We got every seafood small plate they offered and, y’all it was some of the freshest seafood I’ve had in town in a while. They do a dish that’s like a shrimp cocktail ceviche, I imagine if happiness was a flavor that would be it. Also didn’t know octopus could be prepared so well. We’ll be back.
Jaid J — Google review
Came here to try a drink after dinner next door. The cocktail I got was a mai tai which was excellent, one of the better ones I've ever had. The vibe of the bar was very good as well.
Michael B — Google review
We went here based on the positive ratings and were very disappointed. Most of the food we ordered was just not very good (especially the fries that come with the steak frites), and my wife couldn't finish her drink. The atmosphere was fun but pretty loud. If the prices had been significantly lower or the food better it would have been fine, but for $150 (for two entrees and two drinks) we had higher expectations.

Really good restaurant in the French Quarter. Food was common but really well cooked. A great selection of outdoor/ indoor seating and the staff were great. The best dish was the plantains and cauliflower. A really good amount of authentic flavour coming through.

I read about this place in the Conde Nast Traveler magazine, and I am so glad we went! It reminds you of some place you might be in Cuba with great decor. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We sat on the patio and got a couple of drinks (a frozen daquiri and a tossed beverage) and ceviche. Some of the best ceviche I've ever had. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture. Everything was well thought out and perfectly executed. This place is on our short list when we come back to New Orleans!

We LOVED Manolito. Everything we got was divine, from food to cocktails. The blended cocktails were perfection - not too sweet, real ingredients. We absolutely loved the olives, croquettes (a must!!!), the Cuban, and the arroz con pollo with the Maduros added and eaten together (the perfect combination - reminded us so much of when we had this in Costa Rica). Very cute establishment with a nice patio too. Highly recommend! It’s a must stop.

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar is a must-visit historic site located on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Dating back to the 1700s, it is one of the oldest bars in the United States and boasts Gothic architecture that creates a unique ambiance reminiscent of its pirate-filled past.
Very cool super old bar with live piano entertainment, feels cosy and intimate with the dim lights! Loved the voodoo daiquiri (purple drink). A must visit on the quieter part of Bourbon Street.
Caterina B — Google review
Known for being the oldest bar in American History. The place is certainly rustic. The service was quick, however the Hurricane wasn't great at all. The live music was great. The atmosphere gave mysterious as the space is dimly lit.
Perry K — Google review
We saw the voodoo daiquiri (purple drank) in an article of must tries so when we were visiting we decided to give them a try. It didn't disappoint, we aren't big drinkers so they were strong tasting but they were well worth it. We also tried their hurricanes as we were told they were better than the originals. They were good! Not as sweet as the others.
F C — Google review
Went to this bar to see the historic building, and it's absolutely worth a visit for the history alone. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service. I expected a little more professionalism when I asked about non-alcoholic options, and the bartender's comment about 'only serving real drinks' felt unnecessary. For someone who can't drink, it would have been nice to at least be offered a water bottle. It's a great place to visit for the atmosphere and history, but just be aware that they don't seem to cater to those looking for non-alcoholic beverages so you don’t have to go through an unnecessary comment and an unprofessional bartender
Fernanda H — Google review
Lafitte's was one of the recommended bars for our group during our visit to New Orleans. It's almost at the end of the street when walking in the French Quarter, so it was a little far to walk, given our big group. It was a nicely themed bar, and the live music was nice. I did have to put earplugs in. It was also VERY crowded, even on a random Saturday night. I didn't order any food or drinks, probably because of the large crowd.
Shoshana A — Google review
Lafitte’s Blacksmith Bar is one of the coolest spots in New Orleans and definitely worth a visit. I first came here years ago and spent the afternoon day drinking with some of the best Bloody Marys I’d ever had, peppery, spicy, and unforgettable. On this trip, I went back hoping to relive that experience. While the mix seems to have changed a bit and wasn’t quite as good as I remembered, it was still very solid. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the vibe. The history, the atmosphere, and the character of the bar are unlike anywhere else in the area. Even if you just stop in for a drink, it’s an experience that feels uniquely New Orleans.
M. R — Google review
Try the purple drank at one of the oldest bars in the USA! Go back in time at this spot. Good music. Sometimes it turns into a piano bar.
Marc — Google review
We always have to make a stop in LaFitte’s when we go to NOLA - I love the look and feel of the whole bar, but I especially love the piano area. I’m a sucker for a good piano singalong! I did have to knock off a couple of stars for service - there were three, male bartenders there (that we saw) on our most recent visit, and none of them were very personable. My husband went to get me a drink, and the one he went to seemed to be put off by having to serve a customer. I went back later and two others were standing together behind the bar (no line waiting when I walked up) and they were not helpful either. We decided to move along at that point. I’m sure we’ll go back on our next visit, I always like to go for the piano side - I was just a bit surprised by the service this time. Not a deal breaker - hopefully just something that can be improved on.

The Sazerac Bar, located in the Grand Roosevelt Hotel, is a classic cocktail bar with an elegant old-world ambiance. It's renowned for serving some of the best Sazeracs in New Orleans, the city's official cocktail. The bar features African walnut bars and walls adorned with Paul Ninas' artwork, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that harks back to traditional New Orleans.
We took a tasting tour. The three levels of ambience and learning about how the products are made was great. We liked the small taste of each drink and I loved the interactive displays even the screen, bar tender. A cool activity for sure.

We visited sazerac bar in May 2025. This place is tastefully decorated with top notch cocktails and a true old world charm. If you’re a Sazerac fan, this is your place. They offer several variations, along with other classic NOLA drinks and modern creations unique to each bartender. All the drinks we tasted were well balanced and perfectly executed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a great chat with our bartender. The vibe is intimate and elegant, yet totally relaxed. Be sure to explore the hotel too. The space is stunning! If you love cocktails and a classy atmosphere, this spot is a must visit in New Orleans.

This bar was excellent! We stopped in before a show at the Saenger Theater, and we got a Coffee House Sazerac and a Chocolate Cherry Bomb. The drinks were beautifully crafted, unique, and tasty. The place is of course gorgeous as it’s set up inside the Roosevelt Hotel. It’s upscale, so you’ll be paying premium prices. As long as you’re prepared for that, it’s worth it.
Elise K — Google review
Usually fairly busy. I visited twice during my week trip to New Orleans. Located within the Roosevelt hotel. We got the Sazerac drink and espresso martinis. Perfectly made. So delicious. And you pay for it $$. For these specific drinks, they were $20 per drink.
Dakota N — Google review
Based on recent reviews from visitors, The Sazerac Bar in New Orleans is praised for its historic atmosphere, classic cocktails, and skilled staff, but can become very crowded and is considered expensive. The bar is located in the elegant Roosevelt Hotel and is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Positive feedback Historical and elegant atmosphere: Reviewers describe the bar as having a timeless, classic, and sophisticated vibe. The Art Deco decor and WPA-era murals are frequently highlighted. Expertly crafted cocktails: The bar's namesake Sazerac is a highlight for many, with some reviewers calling it the best in the city. Other classic drinks like the Ramos Gin Fizz and Old Fashioned are also recommended. Knowledgeable bartenders: The bar staff, particularly the bartenders, are often described as skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly, despite frequently being busy. Lively, upscale ambiance: Visitors find the bar to be energetic but still upscale, making it a "must-visit" for many. Critical feedback Crowds and seating: The bar can get extremely crowded, especially during peak hours or holidays. Several recent reviews note a new lack of bar stools and limited table seating, which can make it hard to find a spot to sit. High prices: Drinks are consistently described as expensive, with reviewers noting that the experience is more of a "splurge". Inconsistent service: While many praise the bartenders, some reviews point to moments of poor or less-than-attentive service, possibly due to the staff being overworked during busy periods. Pre-batched cocktails: One reviewer noted that they received a premixed Sazerac from a jug, which detracted from their experience. Tips for visitors If you want to enjoy the historic ambiance in a quieter setting, consider visiting during the earlier afternoon. For a more festive experience, go in the evening, but be prepared for a larger crowd and potentially standing-room only. If the bar is too crowded, you can get a drink and find a seat in the hotel's lobby, which is also beautifully decorated. Be prepared for a higher price point for cocktails, as this is a luxury hotel bar experience.

The experience here is top notch! Racheal was the best mixologist I've ever met. I'm a bartender. She not only served the namesake Saserac above expectation, but also made the best Old Fashioned I've ever had! Rachael was my bartender, although the entire bar staff is incredibly professional, and consistently provide amazingly delicious libations. Will return, and highly recommend!

The Sazerac Bar was far too busy and loud for me. I went to the Fountain Lounge next door in the hotel, and I’m just over the moon. Duc was my server, and he took such exceptional care. Loved my Sazerac drink, and the cheese board: wow! I will definitely return. Loved every minute. Thank you, Duc.

We love the Sazerac bar. Not only is it gorgeous, but the service is sublime. Cocktails are always top-notch. Sometimes, a rowdy crowd comes in and stand out like a sore thumb. (This is really more of a light jazz and good conversation kind of bar) The bar is well provisioned, and skilled staff will create exceptional libations. All the New Orleans classics are available. Best French 75 in town 😉 Also they have a really good top-shelf/Rare sips menu.

Pal's Lounge is a popular neighborhood watering hole located near the urban waterway Bayou Saint John. The place offers a laid-back atmosphere and cheap drinks, making it a favorite spot for locals to hang out and meet new people. The interior is adorned with unique decor, including busty nudes covering the walls and even a resident rooster named Cheeto. The bar also features a regularly rotating roster of pop-ups, adding to the spirited vibe both indoors and on the patio.
Pal’s Lounge is a true neighborhood gem in New Orleans. It has that perfect balance of a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere with just the right amount of character. The bartenders are fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready with a great drink recommendation. The cocktails are well-crafted, and the beer selection is solid, making it a great spot whether you’re in the mood for a classic drink or something new. The vibe is casual and unpretentious, with a mix of locals and visitors, which adds to its charm. It’s the kind of place where you can easily strike up a conversation or just unwind and enjoy the ambiance. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick drink or settling in for the evening, Pal’s delivers every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience an authentic New Orleans bar with great drinks and even better company!

We didn’t get anything because the bar tender was rude to our friend. She opened the door to look for another person in our and he replied “Thanks for buying a drink” in a very disrespectful manner. We tried to let it go but after asking for him to cash out our voucher he specifically said “I’m getting to you last” with an attitude and proceeded to make us wait while he service patrons that walked in well after us. Birthday trip to NOLA tainted by a misunderstanding and an unnecessary attitude. Never coming back.

Popular neighborhood watering hole I frequent often as it's in my friend's neighborhood. Couldn't think of a place that matches its name more. I always have a good time and meet new people. Bartenders are awesome AF, they even half remember me even though I show up once every 3mo or so. They also have food at times outside, haven't figured out when exactly that happens, but it's always good. Last several times have been Filipino, but I've heard of the legendary Thai. Not that this place needs much hype as I regularly see it on Nola bar lists. Inside and outside will pack out on the weekends.

Michelle is one of the best bartenders in the city!!! Pal’s has great drinks at amazing prices. If you find yourself in the neighborhood make sure to stop in!

Okay, buckle up, because I'm about to tell you about the absolute gem of New Orleans, the place that sets the bar (pun intended!) so high, every other watering hole just fades into the background. I'm talking about Pals Lounge, the undisputed king of the New Orleans bar scene. If you haven't been, stop what you're doing and get there immediately. This isn't just a 10/10 review; it's a love letter. From the moment you step inside, Pals envelops you in its unique magic. The atmosphere is electric, a perfect blend of sophisticated charm, and unpretentious warmth. It's the kind of place where you feel equally comfortable dressed to the nines or rocking your favorite jeans. The lighting is just right – creating a cozy, intimate vibe that encourages conversation and connection. Forget those loud, overcrowded tourist traps; Pals is where you go to actually enjoy your drink and the company you're with. And speaking of drinks...oh my goodness, the cocktails. These aren't your run-of-the-mill, sugary concoctions. The bartenders at Pals are true artists, crafting innovative and classic cocktails with an unparalleled level of skill and passion. They use only the freshest ingredients, and their attention to detail is simply astounding. Whether you're a seasoned cocktail aficionado or someone who just appreciates a well-made drink, Pals will blow you away. But Pals is more than just amazing drinks and a killer atmosphere. It's the people who truly make it special. The bartenders are incredible – friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional experience. They remember your name, your drink, and always have a smile ready. It's clear they love what they do, and that energy is contagious. And it's not just their team; the patrons at Pals are a diverse and interesting mix of locals and visitors, all coming together to enjoy the unique vibe. You're bound to strike up a conversation with someone fascinating and leave with a few new friends. Honestly, I could go on and on about Pals Lounge. The music is always on point, the prices are reasonable for the quality you're getting, and the location is perfect. But the real magic of Pals is something you have to experience for yourself. It's the feeling you get when you walk in, the feeling you have when you leave – completely satisfied and already planning your next visit. Pals Lounge isn't just a bar; it's an experience. It's the heart and soul of the New Orleans bar scene, and it’s, without a doubt, a 10/10 in every single way. Go. Now. You won't regret it.

Le Bon Temps Roule is a popular no-frills neighborhood bar located in Uptown New Orleans on Magazine Street. This historic dive is beloved by locals and offers a great late-night spot for music, featuring performances by local bands like the Soul Rebels and 5 Mile Brass Band. You won't find a better location to hear live music in New Orleans. We were at The Soul Rebels gig last night, and the immediacy of hearing them in this intimate setting was fantastic. I will definitely be back next time I'm here!

French 75 Bar is a historic establishment located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. It shares a building with the legendary restaurant Arnaud's and has been serving classic seafood dishes since 1918. The bar offers an impressive cocktail program, featuring the namesake drink, which includes Courvoisier cognac, cane sugar, lemon juice, and Moet & Chandon. The ambiance is enhanced by a tin ceiling and live jazz music during brunch hours.
Our first stop in New Orleans couldn’t have been more magical—thanks to French75 and our incredible server, Amanda! From the moment we walked in, we were swept up in the timeless charm of this historic bar, and Amanda, with her soft pink hair and warm smile, made us feel right at home. As first-time visitors, we were blown away by her deep knowledge of both the restaurant’s rich history and the city itself. She didn’t just serve us; she took the time to share stories and recommendations that made our experience unforgettable. And let’s talk about my very first French75 cocktail! It was absolute perfection, setting the tone for a night (and a birthday weekend) to remember. Amanda’s hospitality went above and beyond, turning a simple drink into a cherished memory. French75 is a must-visit, not just for its legendary cocktails but for the kind of service that makes you fall in love with New Orleans. Thank you, Amanda and the entire team, for making our celebration so special—we’ll be back!

A must-visit stop on any French quarter cocktail crawl! We came for the iconic French 75, and their version is beautifully presented and nicely balanced. The bartenders are skilled and efficient, and the whole place radiants a charming vintage vibe with its dark wood paneling and classic furnishings. Overall a great spot to relax, sip something special, and soak in that old-school New Orleans atmosphere.

The well-trained staff provides excellent service and helps patrons navigate the impressive array of beer taps available.
Small bar but a lot of fun. Great atmosphere. We had popcorn chicken, home made chips, and the spice chicken sandwich. It’s the best spicy chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Not too spicy, more like a sweet and spicy sauce but I would travel here just to get another one. Great selection of beers and the cocktails were great.

It is dedicated to reviving the craft of tropical cocktails with fresh fruit and real sugar, avoiding over-processed syrups. The bar serves exotic drinks and island-inspired cuisine, including weekend brunch.

We have been trying to get in here for quite a while, but available reservations haven’t line up with our very limited schedule in the past. We were able to go last night and it was absolutely wonderful, the staff were all very friendly and very attentive. The drinks came quickly once our order was put in even though the bar had many other patrons, and they were delicious and strong. We ordered the navy grog and the porch light to begin as those are our standard drink orders in our tiki bar at home and we were very pleased with the Latitude 29 versions! The recipes they use are absolutely delicious and consistency from one drink to the next, spot on. We ordered some appetizers and they were super yummy, you have to try the pimento cheese Rangoon it’s fried to a perfect crisp and the filling is so yummy!! 10/10 this should be on your list of places to stop when you’re in New Orleans, make sure you give yourself enough time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and your drinks, we could’ve stayed all night if we didn’t have later plans to meet up with some friends!

We went here for dinner tonight around 615. They are a cute little place. We were seated near the door, so I don't know how far it goes back. Looked to be about 20ish tables with a side for the bar. Kitchy Tiki Decor, super fun details. We got seated pretty quickly, our Server was awesome. I want to say her name was Max, brought a carafe of water which she replaced when we drank it all. She made helpful suggestions on portion size. We ended up getting the pork Bao buns and the Stuffed Cornish Hen which both had cute names. The pork was absolutely amazing. I regretted offer to split with my husband as I would have kept both. The hen was definitely enough for two people to split. The only issue was it was tough to see the bones in the darkened restaurant, but then we played with the light on the table and made it brighter. It was worth the work as it was delicious. The offered a complimentary shot, but we were drinking tonight, so she very sweetly brought us stickers with the check, which clearly they usually give to kids, and it made us laugh. The people around us seemed to super enjoy the shots and one table ordered more. All in all great dinner hidden gem.

Great atmosphere and low key on the tiki aspect. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the “Bum Fries” and “Korean Fried Chicken.” This along with “Brads Banana Banshee” and a shared “Beach Bum Bowl” we were feeling great and enjoying ourselves. We just left and it’s on our loved list instead of place we want to go during our current adventures in NOLA.
RJ L — Google review
Checkout the pictures from this little place. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were amazing! The garlic shrimp appetizer and Brussels sprouts were also very good. My dinner was the pork belly with egg and lo mein. The egg had a crunchy coating and was soft cooked so it created a nice sauce for the lo mein. A hint of lemon on the lo mein made a fresh combination for the egg sauce. The pork belly was nicely reduced and almost melts in your mouth. The dessert was multiple textures and flavors in a bread pudding shaped like a muffin. Come enjoy this place.....it's almost hidden....so don't miss it.

A Tiki Classic That Always Delivers – Can’t Wait for What’s Next! Beachbum Berry’s Latitude 29 is hands-down one of the best tiki bars in the country — and I’ve been to quite a few. This place nails the classic tiki vibe without feeling like a gimmick. Every visit is a reminder of how good a proper tropical cocktail experience can be. On my latest trip, I had the Ancient Mariner — a perfect balance of rum and spice — and the Mango Lasso, which was tropical, refreshing, and downright addictive. The craftsmanship behind each drink is next-level, and you can tell the staff knows their rum inside and out. I was told the menu is changing soon, and honestly, I’m excited. If this is the foundation, I can’t wait to see what new creations they roll out. Highly recommend to tiki lovers, cocktail fans, and anyone who just wants a perfect drink in a great atmosphere. Latitude 29 is a New Orleans gem that never disappoints!

The Elysian Bar, located within the Hotel Peter & Paul in New Orleans, offers a unique dining and drinking experience. Went for a birthday dinner in their interior courtyard. Great vibes to this place. Had some delicious cocktails and ordered a few apps and couple pastas to share. The appetizers and mains arrived almost simultaneously, a little more spacing would be preferred. The octopus was cooked perfectly, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The potato leek puree was delicious as was the Calabrian crab fettuccine. The broccolini was good, felt it was missing an acid. The sage gnocchi was decent. Honestly, both pasta dishes were lacking a touch of salt.

This place is everything you’d want for a cute dining experience. Chic space, well decorated and everything is so well curated to make the space incredibly inviting. The food…. holy it all really blew my mind. The honey butter I could eat for the rest of my life and the salmon roe on the crudo literally burst in your mouth. This is so far the best place I’ve eaten in New Orleans! Go here for sure.

My cousin and I pulled up to The Elysian Bar, which is an extension of the Peter & Paul Hotel. I believe they host two monthly installments, and this night featured DJ Jess, one of my absolute faves in the city! I’d never been before, and when we arrived, there was even a brass band practicing next door, which felt so New Orleans. Walking in, we were greeted right away. The place is stunning, atriums, old parlor rooms, nooks, and cozy corners everywhere. Think old-school New Orleans mansion turned stylish bar. It feels like you stepped into a period film, but with better cocktails. And when the sunlight hits the bar, the wood literally glows, it’s so gorgeous. Since I wanted to sit close to the music, we were placed outside in their courtyard under the cutest mustard yellow umbrellas. Now let’s get into the food & drinks: • Housemade Focaccia Bread with Honey Butter – 20/10. The STAR. Warm, fluffy, buttery perfection. I would honestly come back just for this. • Mai Tai – 10/10. This drink humbled me fast lol. Probably the best Mai Tai I’ve ever had. Smooth and balanced, but it does not play. • Smoked Trout – 7/10. It came with mushrooms, mushroom cracker, and was supposed to include smoked oyster dressing. After the fact, I don’t think mine had the dressing (I even went looking for pics online to check), so it felt like something was missing. It was still good, but could’ve used more salt or herbs to round it out. Also, Tuesdays are Oyster Club nights from 5–10pm! If you’re an oyster lover, this is your time to shine. The vibe was relaxed but fun, I’ll definitely be back to try brunch.

One of our favourite bars in NOLA! A lively Irish Pub with a great atmosphere. Due to the New Orleans summer heat I refrained from ordering my usual pint of Guinness. Instead we both opted for their iconic Frozen Irish Coffee. It was divine. At $4 it is also represented great value for money. We opted to add the whisky shot top up which added $10 each. Despite the additional cost I would definitely recommend adding it! Alongside the hand grenade it was our favourite drink of the trip. The bartender here was fantastic - an old school throwback. It was also nice to sit around the bar, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. This place is a must visit down Bourbon Street.

Fantastic bartender. Super friendly and fast to greet. Happy to make drinks she was hustling her butt of serving about 25-30 people running the bar alone. Even ran and got quite a few people hoodies to buy.

Stepping into Erin Rose is like stumbling into the beating heart of New Orleans’ local scene—a gritty, unpretentious gem that’s as authentic as it gets. This isn’t just a bar; it’s a vibe, a slice of the city’s soul where locals and savvy travelers mingle over some of the coldest, best-value drinks you’ll find anywhere. The drinks are straightforward, ice-cold, and shockingly affordable, served with a side of character that only a true neighborhood haunt can deliver. The atmosphere is electric, with a dive-bar charm that’s equal parts chaotic and cozy. You can’t just hear about Erin Rose—you have to feel it, smell the history in the walls, and toast with the eclectic crowd. Stop by, grab a drink, and let this iconic spot show you what New Orleans is all about. It’s a must-visit that leaves you with stories to tell.

I saw a video about the Hot Tin on TikTok and immediately wanted to check it out! This roof top bar is on the edge of the Garden District and has great drinks with an awesome view. The bartenders were friendly and didn’t mind answering questions about the neighborhood. It’s at the top of the hotel Pontchartrain, so if you’re using Apple Maps to get there, make sure you’re looking for the hotel and not the bar, as we didn’t see a sign for the bar on the street. Make sure you’re paying attention to the elevator that you’re taking up, as we didn’t pay attention and ended up having to walk up five flights of stairs because we took the hotel elevator, not the elevator that went up to the Hot Tin. We tried the High Violet and the beer “90s Women Power Ballads” from the brewery Brieux Carre. We enjoyed the beer so much we actually went to the brewery several times during our stay - we would’ve never know about Brieux Carre if we hadn’t gone to the Hot Tin!

This place was jamming. Crowded but in a decent way, loud music, great vibes, and nice drinks! Definitely a place to check out if in the area. NOLA ( New Orleans) is one cool cool place to visit!

I always want rooftop bar hopping so we had the opportunity this weekend and this place was our last stop because close at 1am and had the most beautiful view than the others but the only thing that I don’t like was the seeing young crowd and obviously we felt more old that normally 😂 but still we were available to seat and enjoy our drinks with the amazing view. So if you are young and like party with a view this is your place to visit in New Orleans.
Laura V — Google review
Beautiful view of the city. The atmosphere was okay. Wasn't sure of the vibe they were going for with the music, but not horrible. Seating isn't the most comfortable. Decor was cool, rustic old school feel. It got chilly on the terrace with the breeze. But I can imagine on a better night it would be perfect. The bartender we had was good. Made great drinks, but they are a little pricey depending on your budget. Overall, nice spot. The wife and I enjoyed our time.

My first burlesque show for watch The Van Ella Bordella: A story ville burlesque. That was AMAZING !!! Thank you so much for this moment. Truly impress by the women and mostly by Madam Lola Van Ella who do everything perfectly. Definitely will come back ! Guys if you hesitate to take your tickets…Take them, you’ll not regret it !

We had the best experience watching our first burlesque show. We saw the van ella bordella and she and her cabaret were absolutely fantastic. I don’t really have the words to describe how much I loved this performance. It wasn’t just a strip tease, Lola was a stand up comedian!!! Plus she taught us so much about Storyville and the history of the red light district. The women were so talented with dancing and singing, they truly inspired me to get back on stage. Thank you and I love you so much
Sage C — Google review
Thought it was going to be a shady experience but was pleasantly surprised by the show. Absolutely hilarious show. Drinks were great. Inside the club was artistically done, very fun. Staff was welcoming and pleasant. I will definitely go back for another show. Just risky enough to be called a burlesque show but not trashy. All the girls made me and my friends laugh.

Allways is dope. Nicolita Capdevielle is a powerhouse, and her shows are nothing short of amazing. She produces some of the best burlesque in New Orleans — every performance is creative, sexy, and energetic. What makes it stand out is how woman-powered the productions are; you feel that strength and artistry in every show. You can tell a lot of heart goes into each detail, from the performers to the music to the flow of the night. Whether you catch the regular shows at Allways Lounge or one of the other productions she puts on, you’re guaranteed an unforgettable night. If you’re looking for entertainment that’s bold, empowering, and fun af- Nicolita’s shows are where it’s at.

Fantastic show and experience! Not as glitsy and showy as some of the other burlesque venues but overall a better time IMO. It wasn't the typical experience I was expecting but it was a heck of a lot of fun. We saw the emo burlesque and the music was also fantastic. Forwarding for people perhaps expect a show of all females, this is pretty equally split with guys and ladies dancing so know that beforehand.

Planning my trip to New Orleans I wanted to see a Burlesque show and it did not disappoint. We went as a family ranging from ages 21 through to 61 and everyone enjoyed the evening. The cast are extremely talented (Lola, Juno, Mamy, Phoenix, Ariana and Ansleigh). Not just burlesque performance but a true story brought to life with singing, dancing and humour every second. It is one of the best parts of my trip and I would highly recommend.

Le Vampyre Cabaret was an absolute joy! Stanley was so sweet and helped to arrange a special night to celebrate my birthday with my friends. The performers were talented, hilarious, and impeccably costumed. Can’t wait to come back for another show!!

One of the best burlesque shows I've ever been to. Hilarious with sexy, beautiful ladies, and wonderful music. Speaking of which: they asked for audience suggestions and I wisely suggested Chumbawumba - Tubthumping, which won the day. You're welcome. You're all welcome.

Twelve Mile Limit is a laid-back bar with a pool table and outdoor seating, serving up cocktails, beer, and comforting fare. It's highly regarded as one of the top neighborhood bars in the city, boasting a welcoming atmosphere and an impressive cocktail selection. The bar also hosts a complimentary family meal every Monday night, offering a variety of homestyle dishes for patrons to enjoy. Additionally, it's known for its reasonably priced craft cocktails and lively late-night dance parties featuring talented DJs.
Probably my favorite spot in Mid City. Love the staff, and they make great cocktails. Great food vendors come through here, and they have cool art/book vendors as well. Queer Friendly and Welcomed.

I've been hanging out on this side of the Greenway as of late and bar hopping around this area. I really like this bar even if I've only been twice. First time I popped in, they were having a dance party and the DJ was doing a good job spinning. The place was packed, everyone dancing, playing pool and having a good time. Oddball me finds a spot at the bar and starts reading. But it's NOLA so by the end of the night I've made friends and end up at some strangers house party. Second time around I stumbled back from watching the game at Holy ground to drown my sorrows. Being early evening before the holidays it was basically empty. I had a couple beers, big plus for having 2 hearted, and chatted with the bartender and another couple. It feels really comfortable here. They play good music, have a pool table, they have trivia and regular DJs. The 1st time they were playing anime, plus black bartenders in mid city. Not sure if it's black owned, but I'm here to support and represent. I do want to try their kitchen, the menu looks good.

The cutest dive bar. There was a bees knees special for Thursday. They have a pool table and karaoke on thursdays "purrsday" with DJ AlleyCat. It was packed and a very fun vibe.

Classic dive bar but with a twist—a leveled-up cocktail program! Each weeknight they have a $5 cocktail which are all hand made, not some batch stuff. Crowd is chill and service is great. Can’t ask for more from a local haunt.

New favorite bar in New Orleans. Looks like a dive, and you can have a shot and a beer if you want, but the cocktails were fantastic. The Sunday morning I was there they had a food truck serving breakfast/brunch food. I couldn’t have timed it better. Great job all the way around.

Went here recently with friends. One of the worst bar experiences in my life 😬 Drinks: EXTREMELY overpriced. For a few simple drinks (think gin and tonic) we paid $43 before tip. They came in... plastic cups. Literal plastic mardi gras cups. Not only that but they were tiny! I'm talking half a pint of lukewarm beer in a plastic cup. Mindboggling. Felt like a cheap tailgate. The non-beer drinks came to maybe the halfway point of the cup. Service: the bartender could not remember four (very basic) drinks at once and made us repeat the order multiple times. Atmosphere: weird crowd and ridiculous decorations. There's a grungy cloth sofa with weird stains, the bathrooms were disgusting. The comedy was so cringe, more laugh at than laugh with... If expensive warm drinks in plastic cups is your vibe this is the spot. Otherwise, hard avoid

Check this place out for brunch if your in Mid City, New Orleans. Good for great prices! Don't let the outside discourage you from going in. We had the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast. Yum! Also had the biscuits and gravy, they were good too. We we'll be back to try dinner. They do free food and drink specials on Mondays! Yes FREE food, each week a different theme, Puerto Rican, Pad Thai, Indian...

The Chandelier Bar is a luxurious small plates restaurant located in the heart of the Central Business District in New Orleans. Guests will love its beautiful lobby with 15,000 twinkling crystals comprising the centerpiece chandelier, as well as its signature Chandelier Martini.
There aren't enough stars available to give the accolades to this bar and staff that they truly deserve. We usually stay at the hotel across the street from here, and after being berated by hotel staff and having a horrible stay, a friend recommended that we go and have a drink at the Chandelier Bar in the Four Seasons. To be honest, I am usually intimidated by luxury hotels like this, but even though we were casually dressed we were welcomed like royalty from the time we went to the front door which was graciously opened for us, to the mixologists who gave us white glove service like a true hospitality professional does. Let's be honest, we were there for photos as well as a drink. Their Chandelier Martini was named the best in the US - a title that we found was well deserved. The mixologists were so kind, when we asked to change seats (so we could get better photos) they were happy to oblige. Craig and Clayton were very respectful of our space -they let us start the conversation, and when we asked them about the different cocktails, who designed them, and the "spirit forward profiles" - love that! - they were so knowledgeable and kind about sharing their experiences - it completely changed our moods, and made our trip. We are already planning our next trip so we can try more of the menu, and needless to say, we won't be staying across the street again! It doesn't cost a thing to be kind and to be in a good mood, but being in a bad mood can be very costly for you, and for the business that you represent. This was a great reminder of why places like the Four Seasons are such a great value in the long run - I will save up to be treated with respect instead of being berated, and I am looking forward to spending many more evenings in the Chandelier Bar with this incredible staff.

Delicious drinks, amazing ambience, and lovely service. We came to the Four Seasons originally to get out of the sun, but willfeontly consider staying there next time due to the amazing service and immaculate property. As soon as we even turned down the path leading to the entrance, there were several door men greeting us and showed us to the bar. A very kind lady came by and gave us glasses of ice water and a menu nearly in the same second we sat down. We ordered two drinks, the Cocktail Orleans, and a Pink Pony Club. Both were delicious, but the ambience and service will bring us back.

Love this little spot! It’s located in The Four Seasons New Orleans, also one of my favorite spots to staycation! Service has always been great when I’ve visited. The drinks are always yummy and it’s literally a cute bar— Can’t help but to enjoy the atmosphere + drinks! I ordered the chandelier martini, very strong but good. The martini glass is actually made from the same glass as the chandelier so that’s a cool fun fact. Highly recommend!

We found the Chandelier Bar to be a very attractive and well decorated spot. The cocktails are about the same as you might find in any upscale lounge though a bit more expensive. Service is good and friendly though a little slower than normal. Overall the Chandelier Bar is worth a visit and worthwhile seeing if you are staying at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Pork belly and pickled crab claws were almost as good as the grilled pimento cheese sandwich. Beautifully done. Casey served us at the bar and made perfect drinks. Step into the Roosevelt Bar at 116 Roosevelt Way in New Orleans, and you'll instantly feel transported to a unique blend of elegance and coziness. The history of the bar, shared by our knowledgeable bartender Seattle, added an extra layer of intrigue to our experience. The story of the bar's independence from the neighboring Roosevelt Hotel is a testament to the resilience and character of its owner. The ambiance of the bar was perfect, striking the perfect balance between upscale and down-to-earth, making us feel like we had stepped into a hidden gem. And of course, we can't forget to mention Ben, the security guard, who kept us feeling safe during our late-night visit. If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable experience in New Orleans the Roosevelt Bar is a must-visit!"

The rooftop pool bar was a great surprise to find at the hotel. Tons of open space and great breezes. But the highlight was our bartender, Coco. Her personality, sense of humor and attentiveness is reason enough to come up here. Next time we're in NOLA we'll be coming back to hang out here and chat with Coco!

This is one of my favorite places in the quarter. Deceiving because of the name, it’s actually not affiliated with the Roosevelt Waldorf Astoria though the service and drinks are to that level. Bridgett took great care of us remembering us after only one visit. Nice touch. This is a regular stop in Nola and will continue to be one of
Rodger S — Google review
Pro tip: the Roosevelt has two bars, and only one of them is actually the Sazerac Bar. Guess which one we accidentally went to? Yep — the wrong one. Instead of sipping a legendary Sazerac, we got served what tasted like its sad distant cousin. To make matters worse, the bartender had all the charm of a wet napkin and made us feel like we were the inconvenience. Learn from our mistake: if you want the real deal, walk past this bar and head straight into the actual Sazerac Bar inside the hotel. Your taste buds (and your mood) will thank you.

Kermit's Tremé Mother-in-Law Lounge is a vibrant and historic bar and lounge located in the heart of the Tremé neighborhood in New Orleans. Originally founded by musician Ernie K-Doe, the lounge is known for its funky and colorful setting. In 2014, local musician Kermit Ruffins took over ownership, infusing the venue with his own flair.

Kermit’s Treme Mother-In-Law Lounge is more than a bar— it’s a breathing tribute to New Orleans soul. Tucked in the heart of the 7th Ward, this spot pulses with music, memory, and magic. Owned by jazz legend Kermit Ruffins, it’s where brass bands light up the backyard stage and solo piano sets turn happy hour into a whole celebration. The drinks are dive-bar honest, the food is full of flavor when Kermit cooks, and the vibe? A party (in the words of Kermit, “We Partyin’) always a homecoming. It is truly a place that honors the legends while making space for new ones. It’s New Orleans, unfiltered. Kermit plays Mondays and Saturdays at 06PM!
Harmonese P — Google review
Forget everything you know about quiet, sit-down venues, because a night at Kermit's Treme Mother-in-Law Lounge is a full-on, joyous immersion into the soul of New Orleans. Stepping inside this vibrant, historic club feels less like visiting a bar and more like crashing a family reunion—if your family were all master musicians with a knack for grilling up incredible barbecue. The vibe here is pure, unfiltered fun. The air buzzes with energy, fueled by the infectious rhythm of live jazz that spills out from the intimate stage. The true highlight, of course, is the music. The sense of community and musical legacy here is awesome. This spirit is a big reason why musicians like Irvin Mayfield Jr. are so essential to the city's jazz scene, carrying the torch and celebrating the very culture that makes venues like this so special. Kermit's is the kind of place that captures the essence of New Orleans—unpretentious, soulful, and full of life. It’s a place to come as you are, eat some good food, and let the music move you. For an authentic, unforgettable night out in the Treme, there's nowhere else quite like it.

We didn't eat, only had a drink, the place isn't fancy but it's full of personality and in Louisiana's true fashion everyone is welcomed and made to feel at home!!! We were visiting from Texas and it was across from the Air BnB, it's a historic, neighborhood bar full of old school charm, I loved it!!!
Gail P — Google review
Go get your fill of some serious local music, get there early for the Tuesday 6 PM show it's the one that will least likely have a line if you get there 15 minutes early. $20 gets you in, cash or card. Its mostly stand only with perhaps a dozen chairs in the small tight quarters. Kermit is a very active participant in his bar, so do not be surprised if he's chatting it up with you at the bar or suddenly, you feel a trumpet in your ear and he's going into town, playing it with so much passion. The guys all have such a great banter with each other. It is amazing, amusing and delightful to watch. SO much talent on this stage. The drinks are very moderately priced, they do not give you cups of waters so be prepared to pay for bottled water. There's food on the menu and as Irvin Mayfield says Kermit declares himself a chef 1st and a musician 2nd, so if you're lucky enough ask for what they're serving on the menu it could be his proclaimed raccoon gumbo.
Monserrat A — Google review
Seems like a cool place. A little slow when we were there on a Sunday afternoon. Wishing we'd been able to stick around for another night to see Kermit play. Kitchen was unexpected treat for kind of a historic but divey spot.
Iggy N — Google review
Profoundly disappointed. I've been a Kermit fan for nearly a decade, so I came here for the first time on a Tuesday to hear some live music. I arrived at 5:45 p.m. and the lady at the door must have taken me for a mark. She said the cover charge was $20. All the reviews say the cover charge, when there is one, tops out at $10. I guess she was trying to scam me. I still love his music, I just don't like getting hustled.

Came into absinthe on a Sunday night. 7/27 Met the bartenders, Kaitlin and Chappy. Super nice and knowledgeable. Chappy explained absinthe so well. Very patient. It was super awesome. Told me how to pour and serve absinthe when I go to my hometown. She was freaking awesome. You got a great staff.

Went in late on Saturday, lot of people, but we found a spot at the bar. Service was pretty quick. I got some absinthe drink and wife got a sazerac. Fair warning to you: we had no idea it was basically just rye whisky to sip on. Our own fault. We didn't drink it though as we didn't need any help getting buzzed. We were hoping it was something a bit bigger to sip on, woops!

Went for drinks Oct. 30, 2025 with a couple of friends. We had a couple of types of absinthe, and the staff was super nice and helpful. Besides the extreme dust, which I assume is supposed to be part of the charm, it was a solid spot for a drink and a chin-wag. We could have sat there for hours just talking and drinking. The women's restroom is small, but that is par for the course. It's a quite old building. Go, it's fun!

*9 October 2025* Visiting from Atlanta. A time was had! My last tequila shot did EXACTLY what I needed it to do. The DJ did his thing. I was on the dance floor enjoying myself. The bartenders were great. The place was packed, which is exactly what I was looking for. I'd totally come here again the next time I'm in NOLA. The walk just to enter the Blue Nile was entertaining; so many characters on the street.

Great club on Frenchman street! The live artist Irvin Mayfield and his band were on fire. Just so amazing and very talented. That man killed his horn set. 🙌🏽 We had a great time. Drink specials were available.

Getting drinks when bar first opens takes a long time (i.e. before the musical artist(s) start playing). So order 2 drinks and/or waters per person in your party the 1st time you wait in line. But otherwise not much of a line once the music gets going. Only been to this venue the one time, but the the show was top notch. Have no doubt that most of the artists that come through are of similarly high quality.

Yah!Yah!Yah! Thank you for making my first time in Nola so fantastic. The DJ playing Afrobeats and some early 2000s dancehall had me hype and nostalgic! Shout out for the free light-up glasses as a party favor upon entering. Oh and I'm especially thankful to your staff for being so chill and not pushy or snobbidh - something that's become a norm in many party districts across the US.

I enjoyed dancing to the band, tuba skinny and had a surprise tasting of pappy van winkle 15 year reserve. I didn’t expect them to have such high quality bourbon, but they had it at a reasonable price ($55 per ounce) so I jumped at the opportunity. Great music, good times, and wonderful bartenders!

Real cool venue! I would recommend getting bottle service if you can. The very first one next to the stage has you on top of performers! Very cool! VIP access and floor area had open bar until 10PM. VIP was good. Also safe area. Stayed at the refinery which was also really cool and only a 3 minute walk. A lot of nice restaurants around this district!

I have been here a lot and i will be here a lot more. Nice venue with a unique interior that has a very New Orleans feel. Always booking top bass music/dance music artists and also holds various other themed music nights (kpop club night, emo night, rap nights, 90's music nights).

This was a really cool venue! I didn't get to explore much of it because it was PACKED. The crowd was backed up all the way to the bar and I can't imagine how anyone could have gotten drinks but I didn't try. My friends in VIP really enjoyed the upstairs view of the stage. It was a comfortable temperature inside and the place seemed pretty clean. I will definitely keep an eye out for other shows here.

Place had multiple levels. One side was more of a chill vibe with not too loud hip hop playing. The other side was a full on rave with people going crazy. It was super cool stumbling on to this while I was in town.

The team at The Republic was outstanding! We brought our show from out of town and they helped us every step of the way. Taylor was knowledgable and quick to offer guidance making organizing the many components of our evening a breeze. Nate nailed the sound and greeted our presenters and band with a solid handshake and real know-how. Tony was a magician with our visuals, and made the whole show run smoothly and efficiently. The bar also boasts an impressive array of cocktails, including standout margaritas. It's known as a community-focused spot and a popular hangout for industry insiders, offering a great happy hour and hosting various events like food pop-ups, DJs, and drag shows.
We had an amazing time here with my out of town guests during Christmas. It's very unique in terms of how all out they go for the season and I love it!! There's usually a long line but we went around 5:30pm and were able to get in within a few minutes. All the drinks we tried were delicious. Their fries were great, fried chicken was just okay. I try to go once every Christmas, it's tradition!

This is, without a doubt, my favorite bar in New Orleans. They can get pretty slammed on weekends, of course, but the weekdays are where they really shine in my opinion. The bar becomes much more personal. I’ve met so many interesting people. The bartenders are top notch. The happy hour is great. The single barrel sazerac is my favorite, the whiskey and a shot for $10 is a great deal, but the happy hour old fashioned is definitely my go-to because of price and quality. You will not find a better $6 old fashioned. You will not find a better bar in the city.
Steven S — Google review
We will definitely be back to Barrel Proof! My wife and I stumbled onto this gem, and had an amazing time. The selection of bourbon was impressive, and the bartenders took great care of us. The atmosphere is incredibly casual, and was a great place to relax at the end of a busy day in NOLA. The bartenders are very knowledgeable of their selections, and gave some great recommendations

Barrel Proof was superb! My husband and I really enjoyed the holiday decor, the delicious (pop up)food, and friendly bartenders. Michael was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable and answered a lot of bourbon questions My husband threw out. Thank you for adding to an already wonderful New Orleans vibe.

Everything people are saying is true, this is a great bar with a good selection of most types of drink. Beautiful decor and counter area, great service (all at the bar). Can get very loud and crowded. Food is hit or miss depending on the vendor and the day of the week, but the setup is charming (small kitchen in the back for pop ups).
H J — Google review
I was so excited by a bar that supposedly has a legit whisky menu. They do not, it is completely show. I ordered 4 single malts they were out of each. The bartenders can pour a beer, but have no knowledge of whiskey. If you want a general beer bar, pull up and order a pbr, if you are a. Discerning whiskey drinker look elsewhere.
Steven P — Google review
Great service and we enjoyed the bar staff not ignoring us how typical bar staff can when things are busy. We walked here for a quick drink and to escape the heat. The old fashioned was good. It was a great laid back atmosphere which was greatly appreciated in comparison to Bourbon St.
Xaerie N — Google review
Good whiskey selection ranging from Old Carter to Private bottlings of Willet and 4Roses. If you want to drink higher end stuff at a decent enough price (compared to California), this is a good spot. My main gripe here as noted in other places was that the music was so loud and it was mash of younger people on dates / older people drinking whiskey / large gathering of young 20s. Eclectic mix with blaring music but good whiskey selection. Not sure if there was a theme / demographic they were going for

The Gold Mine Saloon is a popular spot in the French Quarter known for its lively late-night dance parties, affordable drinks, and unpretentious atmosphere. The bar features 80s and 90s music, drawing in a younger crowd who enjoy grooving to oldies but goldies. It's famous for its signature drink, the flaming Dr. Pepper shot, made with amaretto and high-proof liquor.
I travel every week and have frequented some of the greatest bars in the world, but no other establishment is on par with the Gold Mine! David Brinks, the owner, is also a bartender/DJ extraordinaire like no other! His patented, infamous (and fiery) Flaming Dr. Pepper shot presentation along the bar only embellishes the already incredible experience. Great party/dance club, and always an amazing adventure! I look forward to every single visit to the Gold Mine!!!
Perrin R — Google review
We had the BEST wedding after-party here!! Dave was so helpful and responsive the year leading up to it. He was able to accommodate our large group (about 150) well. The music was great (as always), and he even had the trumpet player from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band sing for us (there were lots of happy tears). The flaming doctor pepper shots were a hit, and everyone had SO much fun.
Kathryn W — Google review
I grew up in New Orleans and have loved the gold mine since I was old enough to set foot in there. We just recently went back to New Orleans for our son’s 21st birthday celebration and hosted it there. DAVID was fabulous to work with and took care of our large group so well. We had an absolute blast and will never forget it!

The music was perfect for my group to dance too and the staff was incredibly nice. I accidentally left my keys and wallet at the bar when I was dancing the night away. The owner personally handed them to me and was one of the most genuine people. I will be giving them service for a long time!

The Gold Mine is a quintessential New Orleans watering hole—especially after a wedding celebration! From the iconic flaming Dr. Pepper shots to the unbeatable music and atmosphere, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience. Owner, Dave, goes above and beyond with genuine hospitality, making every guest feel like a regular. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, a night at The Gold Mine is one you won’t forget. Don’t miss it!
Michael B — Google review
It wouldn’t be a true New Orleans weekend without a visit to the Gold Mine. If you are looking for a good time, this absolutely the place to go. It’s the perfect place for a wedding after-party and the flaming Dr. Peppers are always a crowd-pleaser. On top of that, the owner is a gem!
Seth M — Google review
Live in nola and have lots of opportunities. This is an Awesome venue. Go get a flaming Dr Pepper. Their DJ is always on point. Great place to bring a larger crew. Plenty of space on the dance floor. Bar staff is super amenable to even the drunkest of crews. Check their hours. I think only open weekends. Order the Chuckie boo ya before you leave.
Charles C — Google review
The Gold Mine Saloon was the first bar I hit when I got to New Orleans, and somehow it felt like the city already knew I was coming. Gold Mine’s got that easy, lived-in kind of vibe — no frills, just good people, strong drinks, and the kind of energy you can’t fake. Bartenders were solid. Friendly, fast, not trying to be anything but themselves — which made it easy to just relax into the night. They’ve got that quiet confidence, like they’ve seen it all but still care if you’re having a good time. Music was all over the place in the best way — hip hop, funk, throwback dance tracks, weird bangers you forgot you loved. Every song felt like it was made to keep the momentum going. No skips. The crowd was just as mixed, and it worked. People danced like they meant it, and no one was trying to be cool — they just were. I looked up at one point and realized hours had passed. One of those nights that flows so naturally, you don’t notice the clock until last call hits and you’re not ready to leave yet. Gold Mine’s one of those rare places that doesn’t need to try — it just is. If you know, you know. I’ll be back.

This unassuming restaurant, bar, and live music venue on Frenchmen is a wonderful example of what NOLA has to offer. Fun drinks, inspiring music to listen and dance to, and incredibly good food albeit from a limited menu. We love the red beans and rice as well as the gumbo. Walking past and hearing the live music I side, I had to go in. I wasn't disappointed. Smiling, happy staff met me at the door and made sure I was seated and comfortable. The music performance was top notch, Comforting and added some extra grace to a charming establishment. I learned after I had left that the food is very highly rated and makes the Three Muses worthy of a return visit, but when without the food, I already planned to go back. After visiting all of the music venues on Frenchman Street, The Three Muses is certainly the best. A little bit of real magic in a forest of hocus pocus. Thanks folks. Your smiles made my day.

Music was great, but watch out! They tell you no cover charge, but charge $3 pp to listen and then charge 20% gratuity on top of every thing and then still "conveniently" leave a to line o the bill. So 2 beers ran about $30 plus what we tippped the band after they walked around asking for tips. There are more honest places on Frenchman to listen to good music.

While it no longer maintains a clothing-optional policy or identifies solely as a gay bar, it still embraces its LGBTQ+ roots with rainbow flags on display.
Easter Drag Brunch was AMAZING. The queens provides fantastic entertainment, the whole show was well managed, and we had a great time. They offer carafes of drinks which is super convenient when things get busy. We had the poached egg over fried green tomato and it was delicious. The pool does cost extra but is a great luxury on a hot day. We would absolutely go back.

Our crew of 11 loved the service and attention we received by the establishment. We were celebrating a friend’s 40th and called two weeks in advance to make reservations. The hostess greeted us by saying happy birthday to the birthday girl which was a nice touch that they remembered! We were sat promptly and drink orders were taken. The staff even found a way to make the birthday girl a Cherry Cola! Our waitress was kind, flexible, patient, and matched our loud crews energy! Thank you 😍 She even took the time to take our photos out front. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food but I think the Mac and cheese was the hit of the table. The birthday girl received a slice of cheese cake with a candle and a song. We were the last table in the building but didn’t feel rushed by the staff. Compared to other locations we ate at during the weekend we felt this was fairly priced for the service we received. Thanks to the hostess and our amazing server!

We were originally going to go to another restaurant but that was closed. we had heard good things about the Country Club and they had availability so we decided to check it out. the ambiance and the service was outstanding. we started with the crab beignets and the curry and crab bisque. the crab beignets were really good but the aioli was average. the bisque was very good and tasted like an asian green curry sauce. we then got the brussels sprouts, the kale salad, the hamburger, the shrimp, and the curry salmon. the shrimp was really good as were the french fries that came with the burger. the salmon was decent but needed a sauce and was better when we added the soup as a gravy. the brussels sprout and kale salad were also good. portion size was good and price point was also good. overall good food in a nice ambiance with great service

The drag brunch is always a good time. Be aware the building has a few rooms of which the drag queens make their way through performing. If you want to see them the entire time this venue is not for you.

Drag brunch is a MUST! I visited with a Bachelorette party and they had us feeling like the main show as soon as we walked in! Several other occassions were being celebrated and the staff did an awesome job making us all feel seen! The food was AMAZE-BALLS. All the flavor, and thank y'all for my extra pecans on my chicken and waffles!
Ana G — Google review
The food was just okay! The staff was fine but not overly friendly like we had come accustomed too in New Orleans. We loved the Mac & Cheese and Crab Beignets. The Short Rib was a little fatty. The red fish was good but it didn’t knock my socks off. The drinks were good! Overall, I would recommend this spot for drinks and opt for something less “instagram worthy” for dinner. There is certainly better food in New Orleans.

What can I say…my first drag brunch at The Country Club, powered by Hampton Water Rosé, was a glittery fever dream in the best way. The Crabcake & Egg was bougie Benedict, the Shrimp & Grits brought the sass, and the Dubai Chocolate Sundae? Richer than a Real Housewife. The dancers slayed, the rosé flowed—brunch has never been this fabulous.

Absolutely love this venue. Sound quality is always great. Drinks are priced fair. They always bring in excellent talent, too. Saw Shovels & Rope there last night. Fantastic show!

After years of hearing about Tipitina’s, I finally got to see a show there. St Paul & The Broken Bones. What can I say? Great atmosphere, met great people in the audience. Sound was too notch, staff was super nice and defines souther hospitality. I only wish I lived closer so I could come more often, but I will happily fly in for another show!

Wonderful event. A variety of artists performed. Had VIP, so didn't have to wait in line outside. Went straight upstairs to the second floor, VIP only. Great view of the stage. Bar was stacked with whatever we wanted. Also, I got to meet some artists that came up after the show. Definitely had a great time. 👍

First visit to Tipitina's. The venue was Fais Do Do with Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band. The tickets were very reasonably priced as well as the drinks. The folks running the place were very friendly. The band was great and we did some dancing.

Restaurant
Nestled in the Milan section of Uptown New Orleans, Mosquito Supper Club is a culinary hidden gem that celebrates the rich bounty of Louisiana's waterways and farmlands. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to craft communal multi-course tasting menus that pay homage to the region's culinary traditions. Originally starting as a communal dining series in a double shotgun home, it has evolved into a restaurant while still embracing the concept of shared meals.
A transcendent experience, truly. From the moment we walked in, we felt the home-grown love and care put into the atmosphere and continued through each bite of the meal. Velma Marie’s oyster soup is one of, if not, the best constructed and flavorful portions of a prix-fixe I’ve ever enjoyed — like a warm hug you long for from your grandmother. I’m so glad we set aside time to visit MSC during our first visit to NOLA. It stands out as a core memory and one we won’t soon forget. Go — and wine pair, too.

We truly loved our dinner experience here. We sat outside on patio and the ambiance was perfect. The crawfish bisque and tomato salad were standouts for us, but we throughly enjoyed every dish and left feeling very full! If you aren’t sure about making a reservation and committing to their full menu, as long as their outdoor seating is open, you can sit on picnic tables in the front and order a la carte.
Hazel — Google review
We had done a lot of research on this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The food was amazing- clean, fresh ingredients layered into flavorful dishes. We loved the seafood themed menu and had the wine pairing with unique pours that complemented the food. It is hard to say what my favorite dish was- crab claws, shrimp and okra gumbo, potato salad or stuffed crab… They were able to accommodate a gluten allergy. Most of the recipes are gluten free. (I let them know about my allergy when I made the reservation. ) Our server was really great- informative, attentive but relaxed. Truly a special experience.

I got lucky sitting at the communal table with a large group of people who love to eat, chat about food, travel, and are generally aligned in interests. The food itself was... the best I have had in New Orleans, and that is a very high bar to clear. The food is unpretentious and flavorful, perfectly seasoned, correct temperatures- I really can't ask for much more. The service was fine, a place like this doesn't have to do much, they're essentially facilitating a dinner party, and you all entertain one another, and in my experience that was a success. Next time I'm in town I'm hoping it will be a different season with a different menu, so I can taste their other offerings. Before going here I read some reviews arguing for the price this should be a fine dining experience, but I would argue this is much better than that. By removing all the pretense and anxiety-driven fine dining mannerisms & plating simply(no gels dotted along the plates here)- the flavors of the foods shone through beautifully. If you want unpretentious, but expertly prepared foods without the frills, this is THE spot. If you love food and have a group of friends to do this experience with, even better.
Kevin J — Google review
In general the meal was an interesting experience. The food was good but lacking in a few departments. The gumbo was quite lite in flavor and consistency. It lacked in depth to really deliver that punch and was absent of shrimp. The shrimp and watermelon with peanuts might have been the highlight for me. It was refreshing and simple, but still lacking in the flavor forward tastes I’m used to in this region. The other issue I have is the price… With 2 drinks I ended up spending $245 for dinner for 1. I have an incredibly hard time rationalizing spending that kind of money for an underwhelming meal and an environment that is cozy and novel but does not warrant that kind of bill. There was little to no effort put into presentation of most dishes and everything was family style. Again, I appreciate the novelty of this style of meal, but for that kind of money I would imagine it being a little more personalized. Finally, for that kind of money I would expect a plethora of options and a real feast. I basically filled up on the gumbo because everything else was small and I had to share with random people at the communal table. Not to be repetitive but I appreciate the rustic nature, I just think they need to level up the food and ambiance to warrant that expensive of a price point.
Ben D — Google review
Came here for our wedding anniversary and a last hurrah before we move out of Louisiana. The food was absolutely magical. Every bite was perfection! I would have definitely enjoyed a bit more of an explanation or "story" behind where some of the food or recipes came from. It can also get a bit noisy with the communal tables when they are at capacity since it is a small restaurant. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience of which we enjoyed every moment!
Danielle R — Google review
Dined here with a group of work colleagues - six of us total. I really can't say enough good things about this experience. The ambiance if first rate. We were able to have a table to ourselves as a result of the size of our group, which was nice, but the communal table was nearby and seemed lively and fun. The staff was delightful. We enjoyed our interactions with everyone from the moment we arrived. Wonderful wine and cocktail choices. The food was incredible. Well paced, flavorful, bountiful and exactly what we were hoping for when we booked. The menu for our dinner included sweet potato biscuits, crab claws, shrimp and watermelon salad, oyster soup that was divine, fried stuffed crabs, persimmon and arugula salad and succotash and fried okra - all followed by an apple tart tatin. All outstanding. We paid and tipped up front when we booked. I've never had to do that before - but I commend these folks for knowing their worth and prioritizing their employees. Three of our group had never been to New Orleans before and I wanted to make sure they had a really wonderful time. Mosquito Supper Club went a long way in making sure they fell in love with one of my favorite cities. Thank you to this NOLA gem!

Dinner at Mosquito Supper Club is of the best dining experiences ever. The food was excellent. Simply incredible. The service from the bartender and our server was top notch. We had a pre-dinner drink at the bar and sat at a communal table for dinner. We enjoyed interesting conversations with our fellow dinners. If you are not interested in talking to other people, do everyone a favor and pick the private table option. This experience is meant to be a community activity and that is part if the fun! Clearly a lot of thought, intention, care, and attention to detail has gone into this restaurant and it is an experience I hope to have again.

The Saint Bar & Lounge is a lively late-night spot located at 961 St Mary Street in the Lower Garden District. It's known for its energetic atmosphere, great dance music from various genres, and rotating DJs. The bartenders exude a cool, unfazed look and serve reasonably priced drinks with regular specials. This New Orleans-style dive bar attracts a crowd that comes alive after midnight and stays open until 4 or 5 a.m.
Great little underground dive bar that turns up the heat when the sun goes down. Opens early in the evening, but The Saint really shows its grit after 12 when the dj of the night works the crowd and spins til sun up.

This is the perfect late night spot for dancing and a good drink! I wanted to keeping dancing after leaving the spot that I was at before and it did not disappoint! Doorman is the worst person I’ve ever met. I don’t know if it’s a persona because he’s so rude that I can’t believe someone can be that rude. Step back in time and experience the charm of a bygone era aboard the Steamboat Natchez. This old-fashioned steamboat offers delightful cruises along the mighty Mississippi River, complete with buffet dining and live jazz music. Whether you opt for a leisurely brunch or an enchanting dinner cruise, you'll be treated to stunning views and delicious Creole cuisine.
This was such a fun, relaxing, and educational experience. The staff was super friendly and engaging, the jazz band was great and had fun with the crowd, and I loved getting to hear a little bit of history and facts about the buildings and sites we saw down the river. We got to ride on The City of New Orleans riverboat. My only constructive critique is I think reminders, signage, or announcements that there are bars on all the levels would help with lines at the third floor bar. I really enjoyed the summer drinks - they were yum! We loved the experience overall!!
John T — Google review
Wonderful jazz cruise on an authentic New Orleans steamer (though I believe the steam mechanism is superseded by electrical power). The paddle is very impressive, and mesmerising to lose yourself into for periods of time. The cruise is a perfect length of time, and leaves you well situated to make your way to Bourbon, Frenchmen or the hotel district as you depart. The boat took approximately 1 hour before departing, and we were inundated with interesting facts about the boat as we departed, before the band returned for a second ~1 hour long set. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the crew do not seem to prevent you from moving chairs around and sitting in paces that perhaps aren’t intended. The band were good, and broadcast throughout the ship, though there were some mixing issues at the start and only the sousaphone could be heard. Merely a minor teething issue. The sousaphone player gave us some notes as we were departing the boat which was a nice extra surprise. Overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of taking a cruise on the Steamboat Natchez, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was charming and full of character, transporting us back in time while still offering all the comforts of a well-organized and welcoming outing. The food was absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and served with a touch of Southern hospitality. Live jazz music filled the air, perfectly complementing the scenic views along the river and adding to the overall ambiance. The environment was relaxed yet lively, making it easy to enjoy the moment whether you're with family, friends, or a significant other. The staff were exceptional friendly, professional, and always ready to answer questions or offer assistance. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth really enhanced the experience. Whether you're looking for a fun family outing or a romantic date with a beautiful backdrop, the Steamboat Natchez is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans or looking to experience something unique and unforgettable.

Our experience aboard the Steamboat Natchez Dinner Cruise was exceptional from start to finish. The buffet-style dinner offered a variety of well-prepared dishes, each flavorful and satisfying, and the service throughout the meal was attentive and professional. The cruise itself was breathtaking, with the illuminated New Orleans skyline providing a stunning backdrop as we sailed down the Mississippi River. Adding to the ambiance was a superb live jazz band, whose performance truly elevated the evening. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Late birthday gift. Took this tour on a Monday. It was still crowded but I bought our tickets online. The band is great. They serve food and drinks which were delicious. Got the gumbo I mostly loved the history lesson that's provided during the tour. You learn more about the Mississippi River and the structures surrounding the city Tour is about 2 hours long. It's definitely worth the 35.00 but don't forget to add the extra 35.00 for parking😫 Saw someone get a boot

Such an amazing and fun experience! The staff was amazing and kind. The food was fabulous! The creamed spinach and the seafood pasta were my favorite. Im not a sweet potato lover, but I definetly enjoyed the sweet potatoes. The cocktails are a little pricey, but tasty. The live music made for a magical atmosphere. There was plenty of room to walk around on all 4 decks and explore. It was a 10/10 experience that I would recommend to everyone.

Fritzel's European Jazz Pub, a historic establishment on Bourbon Street since 1969, is renowned for its nightly live jazz performances and cozy atmosphere. Despite its location in the lively heart of New Orleans, the pub remains true to its roots and attracts both local and international jazz musicians. Visitors can enjoy traditional New Orleans jazz standards performed by talented local groups and solo artists seven nights a week. The pub also hosts jazz musicians from around the world, offering an authentic experience for music enthusiasts.
We went twice during our visit to New Orleans and loved the atmosphere and the classic live jazz. Very talented musicians! The drinks aren't cheap but the entertainment is class and the place is beautiful. I think they have live jazz every night (not the same band, the musicians rotate) we were there on a Sunday and a Monday and it was great. There is a sign near the stage that says no dancing which was a bit disappointing lol, so we just moved on to other bars in the area when we were ready for a bit of a boogie.

Caught Fritzel’s All Star Jazz band playing the quintessential New Orleans jazz on a Wednesday night and they were lovely! There was no cover charge to enter, good draft as well as bottled beer options and interesting cocktails to try. There was plenty of seating, a cozy atmosphere and great service.

The best place in the French Quarter to see live music. Period. Everyone in your party has to order drinks. So we ordered a couple of $10 beers. No food since it was late night. A wonderful bar that appreciates good jazz. After 5 PM, high-quality jazz bands perform daily. We came to this bar throughout our week-long stay in New Orleans and thoroughly enjoyed it. The standard requirement is to buy one drink (they even have non-alcoholic options) and then listen to jazz.

We were just there for the music mainly. I can't review the drinks, because they have way too much sugar for me. My companions enjoyed theirs. The music, jazz, was great. We had seats on what appeared to be a small picnic table. It wasn't very comfy.

Hands down the best place in New Orleans on Bourbon Street. The band was off the hook, with the best authentic set of jazz. We were seated immediately, mixed in with locals and vacationers in the pub's open bench style seating which created a unique experience that allowed us to meet new people, share drinks and stories and love of the music. Funky jazz lounge, burlesque club, stand up comedy, dance club, and open mic all in 1! Early evenings it's a chill little spot for soulful jazz music with smooth & strong rum drinks. Nina the bartender is the coolest! She knows our drinks as soon as we walk in, super friendly & makes you feel at home. A little later in the night, they kick off an incredible burlesque show upstairs Talk Nerdy To Me. $20 well spent, it's a must see!! Sometimes they're serving up wings in the courtyard too, which are amazing. Late nights this place transforms again into a club. They've got something for everyone here! Thursdays have become a favorite of mine with Harbinger Project feat. Ray presents Throwback Thursday, these guys are extremely talented ARTIST! They will cover all the 90s hits you yearn for. Fridays are still insane with The Tipping Point with DJ RQ Away jamming to some old and current hip-hop downstairs, while upstairs The Buena Vista Social Latin Dance Night blasts the best salsa, bachata, reggaeton, merengue, punta, and the rest of the Caribbean flavors! Sundays of course are for church! Church is the name of the event on Sunday nights! It's a mixture of dubstep, lights, college kids, mixing with locals, mixing with hipsters, with service industry folks! It has a cool laid back attitude.

Great place for a free comedy show on Sundays at 8 pm. The Bar staff is friendly. A great place to sit down and take a load off. It also has two restrooms. Liberation Taco is "attached" and opens at 8 pm but is closed on Sun and Monday I think. There's usually food across the street with a food truck and there's also a pizza place and taco place within the block. As well as a grocery store if you want snacks. It’s away from the hub bub of Burbon Street, and therefore has a cool, unique ambiance because of its location. Small place with low cast drinks and nice staff. The best dive bar I've ever visited! A real New Orleans local spot that's such a hidden gem. Inside, lit by some Christmas lights and sometimes accompanied by some gorgeous dogs and outside feels like a total house party. A place where everyone comes together. Cheapest drinks in the world too and the kindest staff. Can't wait to come back one day.

Quintessential dive bar. When I say that, I mean that this is the most "diviest" dive bar that I have ever walked in to in my entire life. And, they want you to feel that. Dark, red lit barroom that has comfy seats and a long bar to sit at. There is a huge outdoor seating area for a couple or a big group. Decent prices and a warm but semi-creepy feel, which I actually loved, you should definitely come here for a visit especially if you are a fan of dive bars.

Probably not a spot that you're going to take your mother, but let's face it - she's already in bed by the time Snake and Jake's gets going. Definitely a neighborhood spot that you could easily miss if you weren't looking for it. A great dark dive to get away to if you need a break from the normal spots and grab a cold beer.

Went here once two years ago and I still think about what a weird wonderful spot this is. Has the curb appeal of a tool shed and feels like a photo darkroom once you’re inside. But then step out the back door and it’s this backyard oasis full of mismatch patio furniture and big beautiful plants. Next time I’m anywhere near NOLA I will absolutely be stopping by Snake & Jake’s.

The steaks were perfect. Champagne flowed freely. Mr. Snake got in a big fight with Mr. Jake but they kissed and made up. The jugglers didn't show up so the customers decided to strip naked and roll around on the bathroom floor in protest. A meteor slammed right into the bar and that's the last thing I remember.

I think it's a 3.5+ b/c I love quirky. I figured it would be a dive, and essentially, it was, but with so much functional coolness, you've just got to love the experience. Dark, no real parking, and tucked into an uptown neighborhood. But, for all that, you walk in, temporarily blinded by the darkness and then you adjust to the beady, red light strings and you notice there's a bar and some rustic furniture and you flash back to the real glory days of Port of Call b4 its homogenized and pasteurized modern reno. I'm left to wonder if they made burgers, would they be as good? My friend led me thru the bar that, with just a few steps, resembled a shrinking twilight zone hall to hell but once through the plastic flap curtain, opened into a backyard wonderland of giant oaks, string party lights, surrounded by uptown cottages. I loved it and could see myself there in that lovely oasis with any band and any body! This has to be why I've heard so much about this place and the reason I knew I'd be back. But then, later sitting at the rickety table inside the bar, random seeming, folks walked in with trays of food and portable stoves. They tacked up a poster that read, Taco Tuesday, who knew. Then another random guy appeared from nowhere with an accordion, sat down, and began playing. I was transported back to that gondola in Venice. Whatever he played, whoever he was, it was just perfect, random, awesome, odd, unexpected and quirky. I'll be back.

Bourbon Pub Parade is a vibrant 24/7 gay bar and nightclub located in the heart of New Orleans. It boasts two floors, a balcony with views of Bourbon Street, and nonstop dance-club music to keep the party going. This popular destination is known for its lively atmosphere during events like Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence festivals. The venue offers karaoke sing-alongs, themed parties, drag shows, go-go dancers, and vivid music videos.
Just hosted a weekend 70th birthday in NOLA a weekend ago. Mikey the manager and his whole team were spot on with service, special requests, setting up the catered food upstairs, dancers, security and amazing bartenders David and Sam made the post-second line party upstairs special for 70+ guests from all over the country and Europe! We could not have had more fun- all thanks to the owner and fabulous team and this iconic New Orleans institution! Thank you!

Had we been in NOLA years ago, I would've hit up this place along with their surrounding counterparts more than once as I used to love nightlife/clubbing back in my younger days. Nowadays, I hate crowds and cover charges. Lucky for me, it was a Thursday night so both of my excuses for not going were non-existent. ATMOSPHERE: It's a two level establishment located at the end of Bourbon Street's "fun section", meaning the crowds and cluster of businesses are much thinner. The first level is open-air and where the majority of the people congregated around the large central bar. Music was a mix of pop/dance. The second level is air conditioned and sports a stage where karaoke was taking place. A wrap around balcony with high tops offers great views of Bourbon Street and people watching. This was a Thursday night so crowds were minimal, perfect to me. We hung out on the second floor and watched some karaoke but I preferred the balcony. BEVERAGE: Our tab included Vodka Cranberry & Grey Goose Martini for under $20. That's what I'm talking about! Drinks don't need to be overpriced. SERVICE: The male bartender on the second floor was friendly and a good mixologist. TIP: I love that you can take your drink to go! OVERALL: Fun and friendly bar with affordable drink prices.

I went 2 nights in a row. The first night I had an amazing bartender and made it perfect. I should've left it at one night. Night 2, the bartender took complete advantage of me, charged other people's drinks to my tab, claimed my debit card didn't work. Had security escort me to the ATM inside the bar, using the same card that didn't work, they demanded $140 from me and told me to leave before they called the police. Be aware of the shady bartender that'll try to take advantage of you and take your money.

We purchased the VIP bracelet. Let's just say the staff is not very welcoming. My friend came in early on Thursday and showed up at 9pm, but they don't give out the already purchased entrance bracelets at that time. He had to pay to get in when though he already paid $100 to get in prior to arrival. The upstairs staff is snotty and we didn't feel welcomed. Save your money and spend it else where.

A giant gay bar in the French quarter on Bourbon Street. Often no cover when Oz has a cover. Awesome balconies especially for parades and decadence. My only real complaint is that they use a computer meter and so the drinks are not very strong and they cost twice as much as another bar two blocks away.
Cody R — Google review
I love the pub. Been coming for years. GREAT VIBE...However, they are one of the few bars that you cannot tap to pay. I normally never bring my wallet anymore because everything's digital.

Excellent gay bar and club upstairs, cool staff and clientele. My first bartending job was here and colleagues were always helpful and friendly, as they are with customers. Really good music as well.
