Bar & grill
Iguana Joe's Caribbean bar and grill is a renowned restaurant in Aruba, celebrating 25 years of serving award-winning cuisine and world-famous cocktails. Located in the Royal Plaza Mall in downtown Oranjestad, it offers a second-floor terrace with stunning views of the cruise ship harbor. The vibrant reptilian-themed decor adds to its charm, making it a popular spot for cruise visitors looking to enjoy sangria and massive frozen cocktails while taking in the view from the balcony.
Came here to mellow out and have a snack before our tour. Food and drinks were delicious! We got the island patties and they were so good we had to order another! The cocktails were fantastic as well! Overall the food was of great Caribbean standard and extra hearty. And service was surprisingly quick! Definitely recommend!!

🥑 Food : Food was delicious. Totally worth it. Definitely try - Arubiana keshi Jena and jimbalaya. Traditional Arubiana dish. It's pricey, but worth it. Keshi Jena was $22. 👔 Service : Great service. The waitress had a pleasant attitude and also helped us choose the dishes. 🌌Atmosphere: Definitely ask for a high chair seating. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the building. It provides with an amazing view of the ocean. The location of the restaurant is in a perfect spot that you can watch the ocean, cruise ship and the airplane landing from your table. 💰 Price : Apart from other dutch islands I been, Aruba is expensive. 2 of us ordered one dish each and one Pina colada which totalled to $55. Pina colada was $13😱. 💲Tip: tip is expected everywhere on the island. The waitress indirectly even asked for a good tip. Carry some small changes to tip when u are on the island.

Today, after some minor shopping, I stopped by after noticing them upstairs on the strip. I ordered one of each of the Island Patties: shredded chicken, beef, and Gouda cheese (the best one). They were served sizzling hot! I'll definitely be back for more! The flan was also rather tasty too. The staff were really attentive and welcoming. Stop by and show them some love when in Aruba.

I had a great experience at Iguana Joe’s. The food was excellent. I tried the keshi, a popular local dish, and it was delicious. The location is hard to beat, with perfect views of the ocean that make the meal even more enjoyable. Whether for lunch or dinner, I definitely recommend this spot if you’re in Aruba.
Daevon B — Google review
This place is incredible. We came in on a cruise and had the day to explore. Quick 10 minute walk and you have the best food and drinks around. The blackened grouper tacos are incredible as was the jambalaya. The drinks are next level as well and fresh. Highly recommend stopping here.
Preston H — Google review
You have good view over the touristy streat of oranjestad. Thats all. Service can be grumpy. And the food is very mehh. I decided to go for a starter only, which was the jerk chicken skewers, they were drenched in a sauce I cannot place, but not jerk. Tasted like a way to salty chinese style sauce and the chicken itself was just fry and flavourless. Just go if you want to have a quick drink in between the strolls in the city.
Annemiek H — Google review
Food was OK. Service wasn't that great. It has nice view
Tharsi M — Google review
We were here when there wasn't a cruise ship in Port. I can imagine it gets pretty busy when ships are in. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The first margarita we had was exceptional, albeit pricey. We downgraded on the 2nd and could definitely tell. The kids ate everything and the service was great.

Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant, with its roots in New York City, offers a vibrant and authentic dining experience. Situated near the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort in Oranjestad, it serves up a diverse menu featuring appetizers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, and entrees alongside famous cocktails like the Shark Attack. The establishment exudes a beach bar vibe with a small man-made beach area outside complete with hammocks.
All 12 of us stopped in for taco Tuesday. Two dollar beef tacos,5 for fish and shrimp tacos. Shout out to Kate our waitress. Friendly and happy. She looked after our table. Made sure we got our scorpion shots that I didn’t do. But both daughter and grandson did. But they said I could were there t shirts they got for downing the scorpion. 🤢. Place wasn’t too busy but I bet around supper time there would be no seats. Nice view of the bay and boats parked right outside. Glad we stopped. My favourite taco was the shrimp.
Larry L — Google review
Visited on May 13 and if you’re in Aruba and looking for a fun, flavourful , and affordable night out, do not miss Taco Tuesday at Lucy’s! We stumbled across their Tuesday special and were seriously impressed — beef tacos were just $2 each, and even the most expensive (shrimp) was only $5. We sampled the beef, chicken, shrimp, and fish tacos — and honestly, every single one was delicious. The margaritas were just $5 and hit the spot perfectly. It was a refreshing break from the typically pricey dinners you’ll find around Aruba, but don’t let the low prices fool you — the food, drinks, and service were all excellent. We didn’t dive into the rest of the menu, but if you’re a taco fan, this spot is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
Maria D — Google review
This restaurant has a spacious, open setup right by the beach—perfect for relaxing with a nice view. The tacos are delicious, and the prices are reasonable. They also have Taco Tuesday deals, which make it even more affordable. Great place to chill, enjoy good food, and soak in the beachfront vibe!

Taco Tuesday AND Scorpion shots!! What a wonderful time! The waitstaff were amazing. The tacos were wonderful. An excellent experience. Unfortunately, they did not have big boy size T-shirts. So my daughter gets to rock a cool shirt!
Theodore S — Google review
This amazing spot offers a stunning view of the marina and is situated on the tourist strip. One of my favorites since arriving in Aruba. There are many seats available in this laid-back restaurant with a large, airy indoor/outdoor dining area. The drinks are excellent and the food is made-to-order. If you are in Aruba, stop by.
Averie — Google review
Lucy’s food was delicious! It was hot, fresh and very tasty. I had the Caribbean chicken with beans & rice and plantains. My Husband had the Fried Fish Sandwich with fries.
Tamika J — Google review
Lucy's in downtown Aruba is literally a slice of heaven. The scenery of the beautiful ocean and the boats that are docked is really a wondeful sight. The breeze is almost as amazing as their tacos. I prefer the pulled pork tacos cause they were delicious. Everything is reasonably priced and behind the bar you can find Regina who is feisty and accommodating giving the perfect energy to your experience. While at Lucy's take the opportunity to shoot a scorpion 🦂 shot. And earn your t-shirt its not bad at all and the memory will last a life time. I recommend this reasturant if your ever in Aruba. You won't be disappointed.

We were lucky, we had a great waitress, she was superb. It's a bit & miss with the staff. Food came out quickly, busy place, all boat passengers came here so we were lucky to get a seat. Great location, steps from the water.

Bistro de Suikertuin is a charming bistro located in a historic home in downtown Oranjestad, offering a cozy and trendy dining experience. The restaurant opens daily at 7:30 am, serving affordable breakfast specials such as the Aruban, American, Caribbean, and Mexican breakfast. In addition to quality coffee and healthy lunch options, they also provide a full dinner menu featuring dishes like chicken cordon bleu and beef tenderloin with Dutch potatoes.
Suikertuin is a nice establishment. The building is very nice and the bougainvillea trees make it very picturesque. The inside ambiance is quite welcoming as well. The food was good. I enjoyed the tuna item. The loaded nachos were very filling, but good. The drinks were well made. The service was friendly and courteous. I’d say almost every item here (not just the food) was presented in a very aesthetically pleasing manner. You could tell that some thought was put into it.

Wanted some local food and beers and found this restaurant about a 1 km walk from where our ship was docked. No obvious tourists inside, and the place was well reviewed. I was not disappointed! Started with a bucket of ice cold Balashi beers, a local favorite, and definitely needed to cool off from the walk as it was incredibly hot and humid outside at midday. There is a very charming garden with tables in the back, but nobody had the guts to sit out there because of the heat, so we got to enjoy some air-conditioning! I asked the server what people really enjoy and continually order at her restaurant, and she suggested the beef carpaccio. It was quite good, fresh, flavorful, with quality beef, and a peppercorn style dressing on top of the rocket (arugula) and greens. The special of a tuna club sandwich sounded interesting, and indeed it was, with a fried egg on top of the tuna. Gave off a very European vibe to me, but Aruba is Dutch, so there you go. With my lunch, I ordered the onion soup, which was different from its French cousin, in that it used a pungent blue cheese, and a large number of herbs. It had just the right amount of onions in there, was not overly salty, and was quite tasty. Served in what appeared to be a candy dish, it was excellent, despite it being very hot outside and seemingly a bad day to order soup. Do yourself a favor and order a bowl! My buddy ordered a pasta Bolognese, which he said was excellent, along with a bowl of the same onion soup for himself. Service was island relaxed, and they checked in on us from time to time. Friendly and knowledgeable, they spoke excellent English, and helped us enjoy the great meal.

While walking through Downtown Oranjestad, my wife and I were told that this place had the best Apple Pie. My wife and I decided to go here for dinner that evening. The restaurant has a very cozy Dutch vibe, it really transports you there! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful while looking over the menu. My wife and I enjoyed our fish and Chicken entrees that we ordered. The food was seasoned and cooked extremely well. Now for the part that you're waiting for, the Dutch Apple Pie was excellent! We've never had an "authentic" Dutch pie. In the US our apple pies are "wet" and I didn't think there was another way to make Apple pie 😂. Well this apple pie did not have much moisture but was still extremely flavorful, had great texture, and created a wonderful experience in the mouth. We had a really good time at this restaurant, we highly recommend it! Especially if you like a good apple pie for dessert.

Lovely spot with great food – would recommend! I’ve eaten at De Suikertuin twice now and both times were really good. First of all, the setting is great – their garden is super peaceful, with birds chirping in the background. A very calm and welcoming place to start your evening. Service is thoughtful from the start – they ask about allergies right away, and even the amuse was adjusted for me (a small pumpkin soup and a little bite – a nice touch). I’ve had the shrimp ravioli and the fried prawns with vegetables – both very tasty. The chocolate lava cake is definitely worth saving room for! Overall, I’ve had really good experiences here: friendly staff, high-quality food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Only thing to note is that the food can take a while to arrive, but it’s worth the wait.

Love this restaurant. It's very cozy and calm. The food was amazing. The service great. We would definitely visit again.

This restaurant was one of the best I have ever visited. We walked here from the cruise port. The staff was so amazing they were so friendly and the food was really tasty.

City Garden Bistro de Suikertuin is the calm in the midst of our daily busy lives. The settling is beautiful. Parking is free or on the street. We arrived as a party of seven. An email to make a reservation was easily arranged and responded to. No left overs were observed from our group of 3 generations. Popular dishes such as the Filet Americain Baguette with beef tartare was sold out. Ingredients looked very fresh. The Dutch Apple pie and Jardin au Chocolat were beautifully composed and demolished. We were told all the desserts are made in house. I would have lingered longer but we had to leave Aruba. A very enjoyable meal for all in our group.
Mona L — Google review
This restaurants has a warm, intimate and chill ambiance. It’s a 100 year old renovated home, made of concrete, seashells, and sandstone, which adds to homey vibe. On top of that the food is delicious. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by Gidi, who did a wonderful job in explaining the menu and specials for the evening, while providing his favorites and recommendations. As the night progressed I met the bartender Pari, she makes flavorful and well balanced drinks. Pari & Gidi gave awesome insight if Aruba and things to do and explore while on the island. Check this place out while you’re in Aruba and enjoy the cultural exchange!!

If you are looking for a fun and local watering hole, Local Store Aruba is the perfect spot. With delicious food and drinks, as well as outdoor seating and free wifi, it is always a good time.
Just spent a week in Aruba. This bar was down the street from where I stayed. Every night it was consistently full of local patrons. We stopped in twice and our server, DD was there both times. She was fantastic and attentive!!! She recommended the "BOOM BOOM WINGS" and they did not disappoint!! The food was great! The atmosphere was incredible. Nice open patio, cozy inside. Someone said this place was "touristy", it isn't. It has a wonderful local charm (hence Local Store). I can't say enough good things about this place. A must stop for anyone looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat and an ice cold beverage!! This will be my first stop should I find myself back on One Happy Island!!
Jon J — Google review
Local Store Aruba is a great spot with an even greater ambiance. The vibe is casual, fun, and perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a relaxed meal. The food really stands out—especially the loaded fries and funchi fries, which are absolutely amazing and full of flavor. While most of the menu impresses, the chicken strips were a bit of a letdown and could use some improvement in taste and texture. That said, the wide variety of drinks more than makes up for it, offering something for everyone. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended if you’re in Aruba and looking for a lively place with good food and drinks!
Edward E — Google review
When you are looking for just some casual comfort food, Local Store lives up to its name. Wings and burgers. But they are not boring! The sauces available are not many you will find in the states (minus the Deep South, might rival some homemade versions there). The burgers had added condiments and veggies to elevate the experience. Great spot to get off the tourist trap strips.
Alexandria M — Google review
Overall it was meh. I think it would have been a better experience but the customer service and rules are kind of annoying. We are big wing people and wanted to try a bunch but they do not allow you to split up the large quantities into multiple flavors. This caused the price to eat there to increase significantly. Not a big deal but was kind of a deal breaker. If the food would have been amazing it wouldn’t have been a bid deal. We saw this restaurant on social media but feel It is very overrated. There are much better restaurants on the island.
Michael M — Google review
Delicious! Our family of 3 generations ate and were conquered! Specialty drinks, seafood, wings and burgers had great flavor. Shrimp was cooked just right, fried pickles yum. Parking is small so be careful entering lot. Indoors is louder due to music playing and big screen TVs showing current international sports, we got to watch a Yankees game when we requested to see it! Outdoor seating faces the street and tables and chairs are high tops. Popular hangout with busy but friendly service. I’d go back many times over.
Mona L — Google review
The burger I had was fantastic! Certified Angus Beef is always the best! The homemade salt & pepper chips were also delicious!

Yucca fries, loaded fries, Caesar, dry rubbed wings with the heavy sugar kiss, everything was spot on perfect. Even had fountain Coke with real sugar
Bryan M — Google review
Everyone had an amazing experience here! The fries were amazing and the seasoning was fabulous. Grilled chicken sandwich was moist and tender. Customizing with bacon and BBQ took it to another level! BBQ was very flavorful. I would have bought a bottle to take home if they sold it! Make sure you stop by while in Aruba!

Went and try the Wine Room Amazing service good wine selection. the cheese platter is exceptional. if you love like I do, try this place out.
Daniel E — Google review
It reminded me of a underground speakeasy. The use of the light in the room really gives to a romantic and chill vibe amongst friends. The low lighting is totally a win at this place. The range of wine available is well priced and gives so much variety! I loved it here and would love to come back. There are also memberships available as well that are reasonable. The pesto and dip was a fav and the cheese plate. The owner explains to you the type of wine you are drinking as well. There is also a space for a more intimate dinner as well. I know I’ve said a lot but this place is awesome!

You definitely have to visit The Wine Room while in Aruba! It’s a great getaway from the high tourist parts of town. I selected the wine and food pairing. The ambiance, food and staff was excellent! Monrick was an amazing host, very knowledgeable about wines from all over the world and made you feel like you were dinning at home with your friends and family. It was an unforgettable experience!

If you’re looking for a special, one of a kind wining & dining experience in Aruba, look no further than the Wine Room! My family has been coming to Aruba for over 14 years now, and this was a fun, unique find! From booking the initial reservation, Monrick, the owner and sommelier, was in constant contact and wonderful with communication, even when we had to make a modification to the reservation. When we arrived, he personally greeted us and there were special touches on the table to celebrate my parent’s wedding anniversary. The meal was fantastic, beautifully plated and paired, with the true star of the evening, the wine! The wines were wonderful and ones we had never tried before. Dessert was great as well! We would definitely recommend this enhanced dining experience for a special occasion or just stopping in for some delicious wine tasting! We will definitely be back!
Cristy G — Google review
I went here with my wife on a cruise excursion and we had a wonderful time! Monrick introduced us to a lot of wines and paired them with some tapas while explaining the process of analyzing the flavor profile of the wines. We had a great time and definitely recommend it!

Thank you, Manrick, for hosting the wine tasting yesterday (2/6/25). Even though it was, sadly, just the two of us, I commend you on the wine selection and tapas. I appreciated the discussion and the wine information. Your place is very welcoming and comfortable. I wish you continued success in this venture and certainly hope you continue to offer these tastings. Thank you again, Frank H

On The Rocks Cafe is a popular spot in downtown Oranjestad on Adriaan Lacle Blvd, offering a diverse menu of shareable snacks, wings, burgers, wraps, pinchos, salads and more for lunch and dinner. Visitors rave about the delicious burgers like the egg-topped bacon cheeseburger and the funchi fries. The cafe also offers a great selection of beers and vegetarian options. Guests can enjoy live music from local bands while dining with family or friends.
We came to On the Rocks the first night of our vacation based on a recommendation from my cousin who is a local. We sat inside, it was clean and the ac was cool. We ordered the Magic Mushroom Burger, OTR Burger, Wild Child Burger, and a Saco, plus sides of patatas bravas, funchi fries, and truffle fries (since the burgers don’t come with sides). The burgers were all delicious—fresh, flavorful, and not typical frozen patties. They are a little on the smaller side, but they were very satisfying. I didn’t even get a picture of them because we were too hungry to wait! The real standout was the Saco. It came packed with food—deep-fried ribs, chicken, plantains, potatoes, and a Johnny cake—all served with a garlicky mayo for dipping. The ribs especially were full of flavor, like they’d been marinated before frying. The funchi fries were perfectly crispy. The patatas bravas were a favorite—the sauce was so good we ended up dipping everything in it. The only miss of the meal was the truffle fries. The truffle flavor was way too overpowering—the whole table stunk of it which grossed us out. Price-wise, it’s decent. The burgers are around $15–16, but since they don’t come with sides, you’ll probably want to order one (most are $6+). That said, the portion sizes for the sides are generous and easily shareable between two people. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the location is convenient. Overall, it was a great first-night meal, and I’d definitely go back.

We’ve hit on the rocks 2 nights in a row. First night was for the hamburgers (which were delicious), but what brought us back the next night was our server Zion. The second visit I had the lobster Mac and lobster roll! Both were fantastic! If you do decide to try this place, ask to sit in Zions section! He is knowledgeable, kind, attentive and just made the dining experience pleasant. Cheers Zion!

This was a spur of the moment choice. We originally planned to eat at Sexy Shrimp but they sold out for the day so we walked the area to see what other options we had. Stumbled upon On the Rocks Craft Kitchen and couldn't have been happier with the choice. We both had burgers but first shared a caesar salad with house made croutons...so yummy!! My husband was feeling munchy (lol) so we also had Sticky Bourbon Ribs and fries 🤦🏽‍♀️. All the way around very happy with our food and made for such yummy leftovers the next day too! (Thank heavens for the hotels with fridges & microwaves in room)

I’ve been in Aruba for a week and this is hands down the best dining experience I’ve had, and there have been many good ones! Sophie was our server, and she was amazing with my wife and myself, so sweet and helpful with what was good on the menu! Her great service was honestly the topic of our conversation a few times. I had the Monopoly wings which were a truffle sensation, and my wife had the chicken sate, and I tried it too and it was incredible. We ended the night with their mocha espresso martini which Sophie recommended, and it brought a delicious espresso martini to a whole different level, the drink was fantastic and topped with a thick delicious cream and chocolate shavings. We would recommend this place as a 10/10 while staying in Aruba!!

Great burgers!! My husband loved the wings too! Just be mindful that they will charge you $4 additional to swap to a Beyond Burger patty (even though it doesn’t say it anywhere on the menu)!

Honestly one of the best smash burgers I've ever tasted and I never thought that would happen out of the states. Johnny Cake Bites were out of this world! Perfect for 2 to share. Had the Paradise Smash and Wild Child burgers and they were cooked perfectly and the buns def homemade!
David M — Google review
Had an amazing shroom burger, caesar salad and truffle parm fries. Was so very good, I ate the bun. Outstanding service and food. What more could you want?
Shannon D — Google review
I was surprised to see a Hazy IPA from a California brewery being served here but it was $16 for a pint. It was still delicious. Food was great especially the steak skewers with chimichurri sauce. I would recommend this spot again as it is really close to hotels on Palm Beach

Cocktail bar
Fat Tuesday Aruba is an outpost of a New Orleans-inspired chain that offers frozen cocktails in a lively setting. Visitors have praised the bar's vibrant atmosphere and excellent service, with one guest even mentioning a memorable encounter with a bartender named Preston. The establishment also offers special deals like $1 wings on Wednesdays and $1 tacos on certain nights. Guests have enjoyed the variety of drinks available, although some noted that the alcoholic slushies may not be to everyone's taste.
Juliet was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly engaging throughout the evening. She made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Her recommendations were spot on, and her upbeat personality truly added to the atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back thanks to her exceptional service!

Good drinks and that's all you need from FTA! I do wish that this on had the cups but that was okay!

The bartender says sit anywhere, a few min later a server starts yelling at the bartender & basically proceeded to say what do u want? Got a beer instead of a margarita, didn’t say anything . Had to ask for silverware, Food was good but no one checked on us anyway ,atmosphere was for a younger crowd but good vibes , had to find someone to bring a check, she forgot to give separate checks then come over & had the nerve to say what would u like to leave for a tip? Tip Cindy C. You should not be a server. You hurt the business.
Anita L — Google review
We went here twice. The first time the service was pretty good, but the second time it was lacking.
LaLa — Google review
Great atmosphere and delicious food! They have daily promotions, and the prices are very affordable. Cindy’s service is excellent, making you want to come back!

Very disappointed. We tried to order food around 5:30 but no one was paying us any mind. One girl was crying not doing her job????? And the other was helping everyone but me and my group. I usually love this place but this is a repeated occurrence that these girls don’t do their job and just hang with each other and laugh or do whatever.
Shante A — Google review
The frozen drinks u can't go wrong with. I had the margarita and the Cat 5 hurricane, they both will do different things to u sp be cautious 😁

In Aruba for 2 weeks, travel to Aruba from Canada often, at leat 6 times in the last 4 years. Not familiar with this franchise but will never visit them again especially after today. We ordered wings, tacos and drinks for 3 people and only received the wing and drinks and zero tacos. Tried numerous times to get someone's attention. Finally spoke to the "napkin girl" because that's the only thing we actually saw her do and asked her if she could ask someone to bring us the rest of our food. She said ok but decided to hang with her friends instead. She clearly works there, directly in front of us was just hanging around giving her girlfriend hugs chatting away, didn't bother going into the kitchen to check on our food. In the meantime no one else checked on us to see if we got our food or wanted another drink. Maybe you have to sit at the bar for service????? What happened to our original server, Kevin M? I lost it when after another 20 minutes the girl brought her girlfriend a bag of food while I was trying to get her attention. At first we thought it was for us. I asked for the bill and told her to forget our taco food order. Paid it quickly and complained about the horrible service, so we can get food and proper service elsewhere. I wanted to leave, we were so annoyed and now I check the bill and they charged us for food we never received!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable...my bad. I should have reviewed the bill in detail. Strongly not recommended.

Café Chaos is a cozy Dutch pub located in downtown Oranjestad, popular among locals and visitors alike. It offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly bartenders serving a variety of imported beers. The bar is known for its eclectic vibe, cool decor, and diverse music scene, featuring live jazz bands, electronic beats from DJs, and local rock groups on different nights. It's a great spot to enjoy drinks with friends while experiencing the lively music scene of the area.
Great little place. Band when we went was legitimately highly skilled and awesome. They distinctly preferred classic rock like Led Zeppelin, and had similar originals. There are different bands all the time though. Maybe the best selection of craft beers on the island? One of the few places in the area that doesn't feel like a space made purely to attract tourists.
Jeff L — Google review
Great live music (cover band) 11-2am Thurs-Sat. Sometimes drinks are in paper cups, sometimes glass, hard to tell which you might receive. Soda is flat but pours are strong. $7 for rum$ coke, good price IMO. Relatively clean bathroom for such a busy place. Would recommend to anyone wanted to sing and dance along to 90s alternative.
Emily D — Google review
Cool local bar for great local Aruba craft beers, Dutch craft beers, and more. Was there during a weekday evening so it was a pretty chill vibe. Some good rock songs playing from the bar stereo playlist. It's across the street from a popular mall on the water.
CJ — Google review
A must if you are staying at the Renaissance, walk across the street and crawl back. Only down side is that the music always starts late and cannot stay up long enough to enjoy it. 2022, still an awesome spot to find great beers, new bartender José is great, still did not stay out long enough to hear the band, left at 11:00.
Hugh L — Google review
Cafe Chaos was the perfect gem! My boyfriend and I love craft beer and the island of Aruba isn't popular for this! Patrick (our bartender) was so great! Service was wonderful, and it was so nice being in a local venue without a ton of tourists (except us!) And got to enjoy some delicious Belgian and German brews!

If you're looking for a vibrant nightlife experience in the Caribbean, "U-Wanna-Beer" is a must-visit spot. Nestled in Renaissance Marketplace, this local bar offers an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy Aruba's only locally brewed beer, Balashi. Made from imported Scottish malt and German hops, it’s both affordable and delicious. The friendly staff enhances your visit with engaging conversations and live music that sets the perfect backdrop for a fun night out.
They kind of just want to please the American tourists. Not the only ones traveling 😑

Interesting place. One of the stops on the Kuku Kunuku bus. Wouldn't call it a.true beer bar as the selection is typical Aruba beer with a Lagunitas IPA thrown in there. Definitely fun spot.
John H — Google review
Kukou tour. This bus was GREAT!! WE had a ball!!!! 10 out of 10 highly recommend. The music was great the driver was great the groups they picked up was great the host was great and the bars we went to were great. We grabbed food at this place and headed to the next

Great local bar in Aruba. The music was terrific and drink prices reasonable
Javier E — Google review
A typical "local" place for food and drink. The food with a Portuguese flavor was good and the service friendly. You must try the Espetadas (skewered meat or seafood) and the Octopus Vinaigrette. If you want to be entertained by a rowdy, drunk bunch, be there around 10pm when the party bus makes a pitstop here. Lots of fun.
John F — Google review
The location is nice and the customer service is good . The price of the drinks were rather high when there are wayyy other spots in the city to visit. It’s a nice environment and very open but I wouldn’t recommend just for “ drinks” you go here to grab a shot or two get some grub and go to the next bar .
Dr C — Google review
This place was the bomb! I've never seen so much crazy happiness in a bar. They had ludicrous hats and outfits for people to wear; the music was great and then these dudes started a limbo. Who does that? It was great. The prices were awesome too. I didn't try any food so I was going to hold back that 5th star, but how much can you expect from bar food? 5 stars it is
Sim L — Google review
This was a stop on the Kuku Kanuku party bus. The worst one. While the bus is alot of fun, it was deceiving with the price of drinks at this particular bar. We had to pay more than originally told, and the owner at the bar was extremely rude. Honestly, the only rude person I encountered while in Aruba. I won't do the bus trip again if they continue to include this bar.

When exploring the vibrant culture of Aruba, a visit to Bodegas Papiamento is a must for those seeking unique souvenirs. This charming establishment offers locally crafted spirits, including their renowned Aruba Reserve Rum, which has garnered accolades for its exceptional quality. Additionally, don’t miss out on the island's exquisite aloe products—perfect mementos that capture the essence of your Aruban adventure and make for delightful gifts to share with loved ones back home.
This place is amazing! It’s right off the cruise ship harbor. The rum is top notch, well aged, and additive free. The premises are beautiful. This is a must top. It is an experience. The hospitality of the staff was excellent. Especially Remco (?spelling), Andreas, and Stephen. Also, the best cocktails in the city. Well balanced, crafted, and the few places that do not make them overly sweet. You must go here!
Eli W — Google review
We had an fantastic experience at Bodegas Papiamento Aruba! The service was excellent, and the cocktails were top-notch. The food from MarCo Canteen was delicious, with attentive service to match. We definitely plan to return, maybe for a tour!🍹🍸🥃
Z. S — Google review
We had an amazing time at Bodegas Papiamento Distillery during our visit to Aruba. The rum tasting and tour experience was both fun and informative. We sampled their 8 year, 15 year, and two varieties of the 20 year aged rums — all incredibly smooth and flavorful. They even let us smell a partially filled aging barrel of the 20 year batch, and the aroma was absolutely delicious. After the tasting, we enjoyed a perfectly crafted old fashioned that was both refreshing and rich in flavor. Our host, Alex, was knowledgeable and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is very convenient, especially for cruise ship visitors, and the tour itself is brief (about 30 to 45 minutes), making it easy to fit into a busy day while still enjoying a great local experience. As of early August 2025, they had just completed installing solar panels and are now waiting for activation from the power company. It’s a great step toward sustainability. The distillery produces both rum and vodka, and their onsite bar has a stylish lounge-like vibe with a wide cocktail menu. While we didn’t dine there, the dinner menu looked delicious and definitely worth a return visit. They also offer bottles, chocolates, and souvenirs to take home. Highly recommend stopping by Bodegas Papiamento. It’s a great blend of local culture, craftsmanship, and warm hospitality.

This was such a beautiful place to enjoy a drink. We only sat inside, but the outdoor area looked just as inviting. It’s set in a renovated old warehouse that’s been transformed into a stylish bar — with a great atmosphere and a unique twist: they distill their own rum on site. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into cocktails and cool, character-filled places.
Tijl H — Google review
The people behind this project have great taste. The concept of this distillery, cigar shop, bar, canteen, etc. is obviously developed with every minute detail thought of. It’s a gem to the Oranjestad area of Aruba. On this visit we had some cocktails, mocktails and wine paired with some lovely bites while enjoying the atmospheric interior. Service from both teams was very warm. I feel like it’s a place you must visit time and time again. I do have to say that I wish that there could be some kind of local rate for the tastings/pricing.
L M — Google review
Had an amazing tour of the distillery which was given by Steven. We booked the chocolate and rum experience and Steven did a great job explaining the rums ans the history of the distillery. When you visit make sure to request Steven!

We stumbled upon this spot and are so glad we did! Everyone was so friendly & welcoming. The vibe was laid back but contemporary. The cocktails & spirits on the rocks were fantastic. The food from MarCo was amazing, with fantastic flavors, & perfectly cooked.

What a great experience! The bartenders and staff were very welcoming and great mixologists. Spent my 50th birthday afternoon there after a tour and tasting enjoying a few more drinks and great conversation with three amazing guys, Remco, Steven & Andres. 10 out of 10!
