MooMba Beach Bar & Restaurant is a beachfront hangout that offers international cuisine, desserts, and cocktails in a relaxed setting during the day and transforms into a lively party spot at night. Located on the pristine shores of Noord, this open-air haven provides stunning panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, making it an ideal spot for enjoying sunsets with a cocktail in hand. With its laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere, MooMba invites guests to unwind while being captivated by breathtaking vistas.
Incredible atmosphere for a fun night on the beach. There was live music, which matched the vibe. Very open space, so you if you needed a breather from the dance floor it was easy to find some quiet. I got the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was solid. I also tried a few of the cocktails and they were all tasty. Could not recommend this place enough for people 18+. Kids could definitely go, but it would be a different experience.
Lily N — Google review
Lovely spot, friendly staff. They have a resstaurant area and a bar area, but are mostly known for the bar, drinks, and live music, party. We went there twice for a dance and once for dinner, where we had a great spot with our feet in the sand and a lovely mahi mahi as cattch of the day. It tasted super fresh, meaty, and came with a selection of vegetables which was a nice surprise in aruba
Annemiek H — Google review
Great local spot. We had breakfast there twice on our visit to Aruba. Very reasonable on prices, and good service. They offer bottomless mimosas, as well as a breakfast buffet with an omelette station. You can then get chairs and an umbrella on the beach here, along with wait service all day. Beautiful beach too.
Danielle M — Google review
The perfect end to our last night in Aruba! Sitting beachfront with the sound of the waves was just the start. Our server Alan was simply amazing! He’s recommendations were spot on from the appetizers, mango smoothie to the flavorful pinchos which melted in your mouth. The live music took it to the next level!
Veronica J — Google review
We chose MooMba for our breakfast choice due to there all you can eat buffet for $16. The food was delicious just like a hotel breakfast. Getting the chance to eat on the beach definitely worth it. Only thing is you have to watch out for the birds but hey it just let you know that the food is just that good because the birds want it just as much lol. Great services and friendly vibes
Symone G — Google review
Sat out on the beach on sand. Very peaceful, romantic. The sea was a few feet away with boats and sailboats. Food was excellent. Our server Allen was very attentive and friendly. Great cheesecake!!
Marie M — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday football day at Moomba!! The manager Mark keeps an eye out and had room for arrangements for more seating in another part of the bar area. The food was delicious and service was fast as well. Juan was our server and accommodating/friendly.
Gloria Z — Google review
Your typical beachside resort like you see in FL. Prices are in USD and are on par with US prices. Ordered the appetizer platter and Philly cheese steak. Good portion. Came back for dinner with friends and got their beef pinchos. Lordy, so good.

Bar & grill
Nestled on the picturesque Palm Beach, Bugaloe Beach Bar & Grill is a delightful overwater dining destination that perfectly captures the essence of Aruba. Located between the Riu Palace and Hilton resorts, this vibrant eatery offers a diverse menu featuring everything from juicy burgers and zesty quesadillas to fresh Mahi Mahi and succulent garlic shrimp.
Just arrived at our hotel in Aruba and looked for an easy in and out restaurant. Hotel staff took us by golf cart to Palm Beach and recommended Bugaloe. The atmosphere was perfect, on the pier, great view, easy to find a table, staff were attentive. We felt very comfortable, bathing suits or travel attire all are welcome, our food and drinks were on mark. I do recommend that you try the local brew. We had the burger cooked to order and the grilled grouper salad. Likely will visit again while we are on the beach.
Malinda S — Google review
10 star for atmosphere! PERFECT breakfast location the view is AMAZING!!! The strawberry shortcake daiquiri was SO GOOD!! Seen turtles the 2 mornings we went so they’re prob there daily! Flaws - staff is not attentive & food is prob 6/10. The view is what this place is ALL about.
Ashley C — Google review
We chose this place as our last breakfast location on our Aruba Vacation. From the views to the food definitely highly recommend. I had the ham and cheese with waffles which was cheesy and goodie good. Great spot for a morning sunrise as well.
Symone G — Google review
Awesome beach bar! Happy hour was fun! Good food & drinks! The woo hoo shot was yummy! Beautiful sunset!
Colleen R — Google review
This is a charming little spot by the sea. The atmosphere is relaxed and simple, perfect for enjoying good food with an ocean view. The dishes are fresh and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. A great place to stop by if you want something casual and authentic near the beach.
Karen B — Google review
The natural scenery and beach were absolutely beautiful. The food was good, but the service was just okay. It seemed like the staff didn’t try very hard—probably because they know the location is the main attraction. Still, the view and setting make it worth a visit.

We walked from hotel, was great that it was close. Food was good, drinks were great. Music was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing at sunset

Bar
Café Chaos is a cozy Dutch pub located in downtown Oranjestad, popular among locals and visitors alike. It offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly bartenders serving a variety of imported beers. The bar is known for its eclectic vibe, cool decor, and diverse music scene, featuring live jazz bands, electronic beats from DJs, and local rock groups on different nights. It's a great spot to enjoy drinks with friends while experiencing the lively music scene of the area.
Great little place. Band when we went was legitimately highly skilled and awesome. They distinctly preferred classic rock like Led Zeppelin, and had similar originals. There are different bands all the time though. Maybe the best selection of craft beers on the island? One of the few places in the area that doesn't feel like a space made purely to attract tourists.
Jeff L — Google review
Great live music (cover band) 11-2am Thurs-Sat. Sometimes drinks are in paper cups, sometimes glass, hard to tell which you might receive. Soda is flat but pours are strong. $7 for rum$ coke, good price IMO. Relatively clean bathroom for such a busy place. Would recommend to anyone wanted to sing and dance along to 90s alternative.
Emily D — Google review
Cool local bar for great local Aruba craft beers, Dutch craft beers, and more. Was there during a weekday evening so it was a pretty chill vibe. Some good rock songs playing from the bar stereo playlist. It's across the street from a popular mall on the water.
CJ — Google review
A must if you are staying at the Renaissance, walk across the street and crawl back. Only down side is that the music always starts late and cannot stay up long enough to enjoy it. 2022, still an awesome spot to find great beers, new bartender José is great, still did not stay out long enough to hear the band, left at 11:00.
Hugh L — Google review
Cafe Chaos was the perfect gem! My boyfriend and I love craft beer and the island of Aruba isn't popular for this! Patrick (our bartender) was so great! Service was wonderful, and it was so nice being in a local venue without a ton of tourists (except us!) And got to enjoy some delicious Belgian and German brews!
Sarah R — Google review
Great downtown bar with good drink specials and great staff.
Brandon W — Google review
Great bar and selection, great people, great music, nice toilets. From Buffalo, NY this is my place. Live music sometimes, bar snacks available if arrive before kitchen closes.

Nestled in the heart of Oranjestad, Aruba, the Blue Martini Bar at Renaissance Aruba Resort is a trendy social hub that attracts young professionals and tourists alike. The bar offers a relaxed atmosphere during the week, perfect for enjoying happy hour with ocean views and live music. As night falls, it transforms into a vibrant hotspot with DJs spinning tunes amidst blue and violet lights. The recently renovated space exudes modern sophistication and features an outdoor bar overlooking the ocean.
Been coming here for 15 years, and it's the most amazing bar crew I've ever encountered in all the years of traveling the world! The kindest and welcoming people, plus the absolute best wings you've ever had, I promise!
Cynical W — Google review
Our favorite bar in Aruba! The drinks were great and they have a happy hour, select drinks were half off during certain afternoon hours. The Sunset by Jacky was delicious as well as Flowers of the Caribbean and Carnival. It’s on the rooftop of the Renaissance Hotel. Highly recommend this bar if you’re vacationing in Aruba.
Brenda Y — Google review
We were staying at the Marriott here so of course we had to try the Bar here. We really enjoyed all the times we came here (cause we came here more than once). The reason I did 4 instead of 5 stars is because when you try all the places for food that Aruba has, you feel like this is below that quality. Still good, just not as amazing. The drinks were amazing and the service and the bartender we always had , Alejandro was great. Easy to get to your room after you have had a few drinks. If the food was like all the other places I'd say 5 stars, but it is definitely a place to check out especially if of all you want is a good drink.
Chris ( — Google review
Nice bar. The food here is good if limited. The wok noodles are good and are to be recommended. We also sampled the chicken waffle, bit of an acquired taste along with the pulled pork tostada, which was very nice. The molten chocolate cake failed to have a liquid inside. The wine is served in tiny thimbles. Not bad overall.
Karen F — Google review
A lively bar with a vibrant crowd, offering an excellent selection of cocktails and premium drinks. The atmosphere is lively and refined, perfect for enjoying a night out. Prices are on the higher side, but that’s expected for the quality and experience in Aruba.
Felipe B — Google review
Very bad service, they aren't unfriendly but they are excruciatingly slow and do not check up on tables. Food items are good; flatbreads are essentially a deep dish Square using what seems like melted cheese over (ALOT of) focaccia bread. Salads are decent. Drinks vary depending on what you order. The signature aruba arriba can be watered down some days other days pretty strong. They do offer poolside service which is a plus but similar slow service doesn't do it much justice.
Bee J — Google review
The service at the bar is terrible…I felt my husband and I were completely ignored. It was slow with about 3 other customers at the bar….i had to ask repeatedly for service. Atmosphere and food were great but poor customer service.
Lynn H — Google review
Came for a night cap and waited at the bar and sat at empty seats for nearly ten minutes on a non-busy night while the bartenders refused to acknowledge us, make eye contact or provide any service. They clearly did not care enough for our business so we left.

Bar
Surfside Beach Bar in Aruba offers a perfect beach experience with affordable meals, snacks, and happy hours throughout the day. It's an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the sun, sea, and shareable snacks while sipping on refreshing drinks. The bar is located near the cruise port, making it convenient for cruise visitors to enjoy the sand and surf.
The restaurant is literally on the beach. You can order from a lounge chair or at a table. Picnic tables on the sand and a dozen or so tables in the restaurant with bar seating. Fairly typical bar food for Aruba with a selection of sandwiches, appetizers, salads and pizzas. During the day it's a great place to watch planes land as it's right at the start of the runway.
Doug D — Google review
Amazing !! Starters the pizza was amazing. So fresh so cheesy and perfect ! Our server was great as well & very kind and attentive. My boyfriend had the burger and he really enjoyed , looked very juicy & filling. Happy hour was amazing $4 margaritas and Mai tais. They were both amazing had four ! Overall amazing I loved it here !!
Anisa T — Google review
The beach bar looks very nice and comfy, directly on the beach! It offers a variety of food and drinks and sunbeds by the sea. The service is a bit slow though and the quality of the cocktails could be improved, but overall a nice place in the shade with a view of the ocean!
Asja S — Google review
Pretty frikn awesome!!! Chill vibes, fast service, right in front of the water, cold drinks, good food!! Boom 💥 planes landing literally over your head!! Umbrellas n chairs available to rent. Life is good!! Need to check it out. Take a dip in the waters n swim to the floating dock close by! To spectacular!!

The food was very nice and the atmosphere was lovely. The pizza’s were very nice, but a bit oily.

Great stop before our flight! 🛫 We popped in for one last touch of sand and water—and were pleasantly surprised! Good chicken wings, clean restrooms, and a relaxing vibe. Perfect little spot to wind down before heading home. 🌴🍗🚿
MomAger W — Google review
Great price quality ratio for Aruba. You can have a seat indoor (no walls though), or outside on the sand. There are showers in case you feel like swimming there. Next to the airport so you see planes on approach. Keep in mind as in other restaurants here they expect tips.
Robin G — Google review
Last day in Aruba and we wanted to stop and get a final lunch before we headed to the airport. First of all, let me tell you this restaurant sits in a pristine spot. The view from any angle was just beautiful. We stopped early and they only had 2 areas of the menu available prior to 12. The homemade Pastechi was excellent. We had the beef and chicken and our friends had the pizza. The texture and flavor was perfect to say the least to our taste buds. Noon came along and we ordered lunch. We ordered nachos, home made focaccia wood fired pizza, fish and chips, the sea salad and the chicken sate. Let me tell you that we all were far from being starved for the six of us that visited, unlike some of the other local restaurants on the beach here. The taste matched each dish perfectly, the fish was so flaky and smooth in flavor, not that strong fishy taste. The shrimp in the salad was cooked perfectly with a light crunch to it. Sorry in getting into this rant about the taste of the food, but will need to try it for yourself to understand. The staff was very attentive and was always there when needed. You had help from all the staff. Never underestimate them. Oh one more thing before I go. Get the apple pie for dessert. It was like eating a cake but it was pie. It was very surprisingly good.

Restaurant
Located near the Oranjestad port, West Deck is a popular spot to unwind and take in stunning views of boats on the calm Caribbean waters. Originally named for its location on West 7th Street (7 Weststraat), this restaurant is renowned for its reasonably priced gourmet-inspired menu, a rarity in a tourist hub like Oranjestad. Guests can savor one of the seven seafood-inspired dishes during lunch, such as fresh fish.
We had a party of 15 came at 6:30 for dinner and was able to get right in. They treated us like we were family. We were sat at a square table that we all could sit at underneath some amazing trees and beautiful lights. The staff was truly amazing and made us all feel Very special. The food was amazing even though I didn’t take pictures. Everybody’s food was great. The drinks were perfect. Highly reccomend!!! The fried grouper was a highlight Melting in our mouth. The pan fried panta was also amazing.

✨ On my vacation to Aruba, I visited this seafood restaurant and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, and the place is set right in front of a breathtaking ocean view. The best part? While your food is being prepared, you can actually jump into the water and relax. Such a unique experience! Highly recommended! 🌊🍴🐟

This was out 3rd visit to West Deck. Views are always absolutely stunning. Great spot to catch a romantic sunset pic. Or just enjoy the views while you dine. The food is so delicious and drinks are spot on. This time Pierce was our waiter and he made our visit to fun. He recommended some dishes that definitely did not disappoint. Every time we’re in Aruba this is a must stop!

I tried to get photos but my family destroyed the food! We decided to get a bunch of appetizers and try everything. The Garlic shrimp 10/10! The wings cooked perfectly. My son got his naked 9.5/10. The mahi-mahi was our least favorite I would say a 6/10. It needed more seasoning. The calamari was cooked very well and no fishy taste.9/10. My son got a full rack of ribs and he did “the fat boy dance” the entire time he ate. He said a 20/10. I had the fried chicken sandwich. It was a little blan at first but the brought us pickled onions and it went from a 5/10 to an 8.5. The coconut shrimp I was told was delicious and a 9/10. I don’t eat coconut. The key lime pie and the Oreo cheesecake 🤯 delicious!!!!
Michael M — Google review
What a delightful place for lunch. We stumbled on this place by chance. There were only two tables occupied when we arrived. Had a meal that was more like a fancy restaurant than tavern food we expected. We watched planes coming in for landing at the nearby airport while we enjoyed a relaxing lunch. Apparently we just beat the rush, because by the time we left, the place had filled up!
Donald M — Google review
West Deck had decent food with an amazing ambiance. The restaurant is directly on the beach. The service was good too. During our visit they had live music. Overall great vibes.
Aninda Z — Google review
The food at The West Deck was really good and tasty. The dishes were creative and full of flavor, with something a little different in every bite. One standout was the pasta salad with beets—absolutely phenomenal. A silent delight that caught me by surprise. Their hot sauce also deserves a shoutout—spicy, bold, and really brought the dishes to life. The location right off the water made the atmosphere amazing. Great views, good food, and a chill island vibe all in one spot.

The vibrant reptilian-themed decor adds to its charm, making it a popular spot for cruise visitors looking to enjoy sangria and massive frozen cocktails while taking in the view from the balcony.
Came here to mellow out and have a snack before our tour. Food and drinks were delicious! We got the island patties and they were so good we had to order another! The cocktails were fantastic as well! Overall the food was of great Caribbean standard and extra hearty. And service was surprisingly quick! Definitely recommend!!

🥑 Food : Food was delicious. Totally worth it. Definitely try - Arubiana keshi Jena and jimbalaya. Traditional Arubiana dish. It's pricey, but worth it. Keshi Jena was $22. 👔 Service : Great service. The waitress had a pleasant attitude and also helped us choose the dishes. 🌌Atmosphere: Definitely ask for a high chair seating. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the building. It provides with an amazing view of the ocean. The location of the restaurant is in a perfect spot that you can watch the ocean, cruise ship and the airplane landing from your table. 💰 Price : Apart from other dutch islands I been, Aruba is expensive. 2 of us ordered one dish each and one Pina colada which totalled to $55. Pina colada was $13😱. 💲Tip: tip is expected everywhere on the island. The waitress indirectly even asked for a good tip. Carry some small changes to tip when u are on the island.

Today, after some minor shopping, I stopped by after noticing them upstairs on the strip. I ordered one of each of the Island Patties: shredded chicken, beef, and Gouda cheese (the best one). They were served sizzling hot! I'll definitely be back for more! The flan was also rather tasty too. The staff were really attentive and welcoming. Stop by and show them some love when in Aruba.

I had a great experience at Iguana Joe’s. The food was excellent. I tried the keshi, a popular local dish, and it was delicious. The location is hard to beat, with perfect views of the ocean that make the meal even more enjoyable. Whether for lunch or dinner, I definitely recommend this spot if you’re in Aruba.

This place is incredible. We came in on a cruise and had the day to explore. Quick 10 minute walk and you have the best food and drinks around. The blackened grouper tacos are incredible as was the jambalaya. The drinks are next level as well and fresh. Highly recommend stopping here.
Preston H — Google review
You have good view over the touristy streat of oranjestad. Thats all. Service can be grumpy. And the food is very mehh. I decided to go for a starter only, which was the jerk chicken skewers, they were drenched in a sauce I cannot place, but not jerk. Tasted like a way to salty chinese style sauce and the chicken itself was just fry and flavourless. Just go if you want to have a quick drink in between the strolls in the city.
Annemiek H — Google review
Food was OK. Service wasn't that great. It has nice view

We were here when there wasn't a cruise ship in Port. I can imagine it gets pretty busy when ships are in. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The first margarita we had was exceptional, albeit pricey. We downgraded on the 2nd and could definitely tell. The kids ate everything and the service was great.

This was absolutely amazing from start to finish. My wife and I cant stop raving about this place. Service from the moment we walked in the door to exiting was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and appropriate! Juan was great and he had others helping our table with everything from extra butter and bread which is very good. Ceviche was one of the best I've had in 5 different places in Aruba. We shared the rack of lamb and short rib dishes as we couldn't decide and both we very good. The soup of the day (celery based) was delicious. The drinks were well made. Photos show the dishes and we even show our clean plates except for the bones lol! The palm trees and comfortable out side seating was very nice and with the tasteful lighting made this one of the best places. You will spend some money though this was definitely worth every dollar

Wilhelmina is a must-visit in Aruba! From the complimentary sampler to the amazing dinner and desserts, everything was flawless. The garden setting is beautiful, the service is top-notch, and every dish was full of flavor and care. Don’t miss the lemon tart — it’s the perfect finish to an unforgettable meal.

Great ambiance, beautiful open garden seating. Very professional, polite, pleasant and efficient staff. Good drinks. Started the dinner with complementary chef special - shot of soup and a fish ball - both excellent! Dinner excellent - beautiful presentation. My husband had the Wilhelmina Ravoli appitizer on the recommendation of the waitress and loved it! For dinner, I have the #2 fish special, my husband had the #3 fish special, and my friend had the lamb. Wilhelmina cheesecake, limoncello ice cream, amd a Key Lime Martini for dessert. Highly recommend this place!

This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Aruba. The food was unreal — we started with the ceviche and the short rib ravioli, followed by the short rib entrée, and finished with the crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was exceptional. The atmosphere and dining space were top-notch. Hands down the best meal we had in Aruba.

AMAZING food!! We ordered the ceviche and Mediterranean salad. I don’t usually order salad for an app but it was worth it. Their food is so authentic and well prepared. I would definitely order those again. The ceviche was very light and refreshing. We also ordered the garlic shrimp pasta and the Indonesian pork. My favorite was the Indonesian pork with noodles because the sauce was unforgettable (sorry the picture is a little blurry). Highly recommend this restaurant!! Sit inside if you don’t like bugs because at night there might be little flies around the table since the outside seating is in a beautiful tropical type atmosphere.

This was my favorite restaurant in Aruba during my recent trip. The service was really great and the food is amazing. I am still thinking about the Simply Truffle pasta and Wilhelmina’s Ravioli. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is truly beautiful. I cannot wait to go back one day! Please open up a location in Turks and Caicos!

This was our second visit to Wilhelmina on 2 separate trips. Once again, it did not disappoint. They greet you with a little snack to say hi and let the yumminess begin. The Wilhelminas raviolis are still as I remember it, yummy. The ceviche here is hands down the best. Although, Lima Bistro has killer ceviche as well. Both are unique and different from one another. We had the catch of the day, served 3 different ways, another had the braised short ribs that were killer. Another in our group is a vegetarian and I think the had the watermelon something and she fell in love with it. Sometimes vegetarians are hard to please, or there's not much options. At Wilhelmina you can't go wrong. Thanks again and we will certainly return.

Eetcafe The Paddock is a family-friendly restaurant located on Oranjestad's waterfront, offering open-air seating and stunning views of the harbor. Known for its Dutch and Aruban specialties, this casual dining spot provides a diverse menu with options ranging from fresh seafood to kid-friendly burgers. Additionally, it features an authentic Dutch pub atmosphere with imported European beer and frozen cocktails.
Genuine hospitality! Wife and I had a great time at the Paddock. Jonathan & Jamila took great care of us. A lot of places near cruise ships are over-priced, but not the Paddock. If you haven’t been to Aruba before definitely try Chill or Magic Mango beers. Will definitely return.
Christopher G — Google review
Should you be hungry or need a drink, I'd recommend just passing this place by. The only good thing about this place is that it's by the cruise pier and on the water. Calamari was ok but rubbery, escargot was grainy, and the burger was really inedible. Took forever just to get drinks, and they didn't even bring one of the items that was ordered, even though it was repeated back to us. Unfortunately, just another place in Aruba that should not be around but will probably remain because of the number of visitors that come through here.
M. M — Google review
Visited for lunch on May 14, 2025. We stopped by The Paddock Aruba and were pleasantly surprised by this charming spot right on the water. We had the fish and chips special for $12, which was tasty and well-prepared — definitely a good value. The service was friendly and attentive, and the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. One of the highlights was the ocean-view seating, which added a relaxing, scenic touch to our meal. It’s a great place to unwind without breaking the bank — a refreshing alternative to some of the pricier dining options nearby. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a casual, affordable meal with a great view.

Ordered the shrimp Alfredo - the sauce was interesting (not sure that I loved it but didn’t hate it) - had a floral taste. My husband liked the grilled grouper. The waitress was underwhelming and didn’t have a welcoming personality which is the reason for the 4 star.

We had a wonderful experience at Paddocks. The fish and chips were to die for! All of our drinks were top notch and mixed just right. Felipe was our server and he was so friendly and super helpful on providing suggestions. We cannot wait to come back to enjoy Paddocks wonderful service and food.
Kaleb — Google review
Not great.. not even good.. From the outset, the hostess didn’t want to be there. She resented welcoming customers and many people (us included) had to get our own menu as she preferred to stay sitting behind her booth, looking at her phone. Mojito was US$11 and not made correctly, barely any mint and 2 wedge of lime - very sugary using lime cordial & lemonade, and lacked alcohol. The food made my partner sick. It tasted as though they were frozen & defrosted on repeat & then fried for service. Mayonnaise left out on tables in 35deg heat. We picked one up and it was full of water from the rain and hot from sitting in the sun. The location is prime and they have great potential, but everything is run down or broken and left to the elements to deteriorate further. Remove the broken umbrella, chairs and tables, treat your customers better, be nice and smile - it would make a great difference to the image. First impressions are lasting impressions..
T S — Google review
It was okay, like others have said good bang for your buck. It’s right on the water which is nice, but the amount of pigeons trying to attack your food makes it a place we probably won’t come back to. The food was good and the service was decent.

Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant, with its roots in New York City, offers a vibrant and authentic dining experience. Situated near the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort in Oranjestad, it serves up a diverse menu featuring appetizers, salads, sandwiches, tacos, and entrees alongside famous cocktails like the Shark Attack. The establishment exudes a beach bar vibe with a small man-made beach area outside complete with hammocks.
All 12 of us stopped in for taco Tuesday. Two dollar beef tacos,5 for fish and shrimp tacos. Shout out to Kate our waitress. Friendly and happy. She looked after our table. Made sure we got our scorpion shots that I didn’t do. But both daughter and grandson did. But they said I could were there t shirts they got for downing the scorpion. 🤢. Place wasn’t too busy but I bet around supper time there would be no seats. Nice view of the bay and boats parked right outside. Glad we stopped. My favourite taco was the shrimp.

Visited on May 13 and if you’re in Aruba and looking for a fun, flavourful , and affordable night out, do not miss Taco Tuesday at Lucy’s! We stumbled across their Tuesday special and were seriously impressed — beef tacos were just $2 each, and even the most expensive (shrimp) was only $5. We sampled the beef, chicken, shrimp, and fish tacos — and honestly, every single one was delicious. The margaritas were just $5 and hit the spot perfectly. It was a refreshing break from the typically pricey dinners you’ll find around Aruba, but don’t let the low prices fool you — the food, drinks, and service were all excellent. We didn’t dive into the rest of the menu, but if you’re a taco fan, this spot is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant has a spacious, open setup right by the beach—perfect for relaxing with a nice view. The tacos are delicious, and the prices are reasonable. They also have Taco Tuesday deals, which make it even more affordable. Great place to chill, enjoy good food, and soak in the beachfront vibe!

This amazing spot offers a stunning view of the marina and is situated on the tourist strip. One of my favorites since arriving in Aruba. There are many seats available in this laid-back restaurant with a large, airy indoor/outdoor dining area. The drinks are excellent and the food is made-to-order. If you are in Aruba, stop by.

Lucy's in downtown Aruba is literally a slice of heaven. The scenery of the beautiful ocean and the boats that are docked is really a wondeful sight. The breeze is almost as amazing as their tacos. I prefer the pulled pork tacos cause they were delicious. Everything is reasonably priced and behind the bar you can find Regina who is feisty and accommodating giving the perfect energy to your experience. While at Lucy's take the opportunity to shoot a scorpion 🦂 shot. And earn your t-shirt its not bad at all and the memory will last a life time. I recommend this reasturant if your ever in Aruba. You won't be disappointed.

Located in the heart of Palm Beach, Aruba, The Sopranos Piano Bar is a must-visit for those seeking an unforgettable nightlife experience. This trendy spot offers fantastic live music performances and a high-energy atmosphere that will make you want to get up and dance. Whether you're sipping on classic cocktails or enjoying a Cuban cigar, this bar's cozy atmosphere transports you to another era.
What a wonderful night! It is an awesome vibe with reasonably priced drinks and great entertainers on the piano. Special thanks to Susan the manager who is amazing.
Samir B — Google review
This was a decent spot to have a few drinks and catch some live music. The night we were there the gentleman was talented, but was unfortunately playing some very slow songs. It would’ve been significantly better if he was playing upbeat, lively music. It seemed to draw how much older crowd, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Servers are very nice and attentive, just wish they actually had food to snack on with all the drinks. This would likely increase their beverage sales. Overall, not a bad place.
C ( — Google review
Awesome place with love music and variety of drinks. The piano man is lots of fun and talented.
Misael R — Google review
Pretty fun place! Even though it says "piano", the night I went there was a guying playing guitar. He kept it fairly understated, no huge thrash moments, even though he did play more rocking songs when requested. The staff is friendly and attentive, and actually moving at a fast pace and getting things done, unlike half the places in Aruba where the staff seem to be moving in slow motion. There was a great vibe, very friendly and participatory. On a Saturday, it's a bit hard to get a menu and look at options, but easy enough to just shout out a drink/beer and enjoy. Everyone should at least stop by, maybe throw up a song request with a 5 and stick around a bit.

Perfect place to spend the evening. There's food available but did not eat. The atmosphere is amazing.

Fun place to listen to live music from Billy Joel to Zac Brown Band. The singer takes requests all night. No food just drinks & live music.

Paid for a song generously we had paid our check and we’re leaving before it played. Do not expect your song to be played. Also wait until Carl testa is no longer the in house artist. His voice is like a cheese grater and consistently off beat and out of tune. Joey our server was great can’t recommend showing up when Carl isn’t playing more.

Taste My Aruba is a charming restaurant located in a beautifully restored 100-year-old heritage house in downtown Oranjestad. The eatery, owned by the convivial Nathaly de Mey and her nephew, chef Derwin Tromp, prides itself on serving locally sourced fare, particularly fresh fish and local lobster.
Food was great. I had the Red Snapper Filet. Calm & relaxing atmosphere and to top it all off our waiter Mr. Glenn Kelly was just over the top amazing! We'll return here when we come back to Aruba for sure.

We tried Taste My Aruba for the first time last night. We experienced fabulous service & delicious food. We ordered three different dishes, but our favorite was the Lobster Pasta. We also enjoyed a slice of carrot cake to finish our meal. Before leaving, we made reservations to come the last night of our trip because this was our favorite restaurant on our trip! I would highly recommend making a reservation!

What an amazing find for our last night in Aruba. The service was amazing Glen was attentive and accommodating, the chef was one of the best I’ve ever seen. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The food was 10 out of 10. We had a group of 10 and every single meal was amazing.
Rene M — Google review
Nice setting and friendly service, but not worth the price Went to Taste My Aruba with two friends. The staff was friendly and we were helped right away, which was a good start. We shared a few appetizers that were actually really tasty – no complaints there. The main course, however, was a bit of a letdown. I had the lobster with black pasta – the most expensive dish on the menu – but the lobster was a bit dry and lacked flavor. One of my friends had the daily special and was also only mildly enthusiastic about it. The restaurant has a cute little courtyard and plenty of indoor seating as well, which gives it a nice atmosphere. Overall, it was a decent experience, but for the price, I don’t think it quite delivered.

The BEST meal we had in Aruba!! Ambience was incredible, staff was super attentive and friendly, and food was the best meal we had our whole trip. As someone who has a gluten allergy it can be hard to find delicious meals but there were multiple gf options as well! Can not recommend enough, if you are in Aruba you HAVE TO come here!

The atmosphere and ambiance is outstanding. The food was given a four-star rating versus a five-star rating because they were missing several key dishes on the menu that we specifically wanted.

Incredible place in the heart of Oranjestad! Elevated local cuisine served in a beautiful traditional house with an even more beautiful garden where they grow their own herbs they use in drinks. Fantastic staff and an overall incredible experience. A must go during every visit to Aruba.

My sister-n-law called and reserved a table for 10. We arrived and saw through the opened doors a beautiful space with a table set for 10, above it a beautiful chandelier and ceiling fan, and Latin music playing at just the right volume to enjoy it without it interfering with conversation. Glen kept our water glasses full and the drinks (alcoholic) flowing. The food, all 10 dishes, (cooked by ONE chef) was served at the same time, hot and exactly how we ordered it. We gave the chef and staff a standing ovation!!!!!! They were so appreciative. Don’t visit Oranjestad without visiting this gem!!!

If you are looking for a fun and local watering hole, Local Store Aruba is the perfect spot. With delicious food and drinks, as well as outdoor seating and free wifi, it is always a good time.
Just spent a week in Aruba. This bar was down the street from where I stayed. Every night it was consistently full of local patrons. We stopped in twice and our server, DD was there both times. She was fantastic and attentive!!! She recommended the "BOOM BOOM WINGS" and they did not disappoint!! The food was great! The atmosphere was incredible. Nice open patio, cozy inside. Someone said this place was "touristy", it isn't. It has a wonderful local charm (hence Local Store). I can't say enough good things about this place. A must stop for anyone looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat and an ice cold beverage!! This will be my first stop should I find myself back on One Happy Island!!

Local Store Aruba is a great spot with an even greater ambiance. The vibe is casual, fun, and perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a relaxed meal. The food really stands out—especially the loaded fries and funchi fries, which are absolutely amazing and full of flavor. While most of the menu impresses, the chicken strips were a bit of a letdown and could use some improvement in taste and texture. That said, the wide variety of drinks more than makes up for it, offering something for everyone. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended if you’re in Aruba and looking for a lively place with good food and drinks!
Edward E — Google review
When you are looking for just some casual comfort food, Local Store lives up to its name. Wings and burgers. But they are not boring! The sauces available are not many you will find in the states (minus the Deep South, might rival some homemade versions there). The burgers had added condiments and veggies to elevate the experience. Great spot to get off the tourist trap strips.
Alexandria M — Google review
Overall it was meh. I think it would have been a better experience but the customer service and rules are kind of annoying. We are big wing people and wanted to try a bunch but they do not allow you to split up the large quantities into multiple flavors. This caused the price to eat there to increase significantly. Not a big deal but was kind of a deal breaker. If the food would have been amazing it wouldn’t have been a bid deal. We saw this restaurant on social media but feel It is very overrated. There are much better restaurants on the island.
Michael M — Google review
Delicious! Our family of 3 generations ate and were conquered! Specialty drinks, seafood, wings and burgers had great flavor. Shrimp was cooked just right, fried pickles yum. Parking is small so be careful entering lot. Indoors is louder due to music playing and big screen TVs showing current international sports, we got to watch a Yankees game when we requested to see it! Outdoor seating faces the street and tables and chairs are high tops. Popular hangout with busy but friendly service. I’d go back many times over.

Reflexions is the best knees! The food is made-to-order and really good & the prices are reasonable. They have something for every dietary type. The breakfast was phenomenal! The best part about this place is the waterfront area and swimming pool, tucked inside the dining area. There are also plenty of beach loungers and covered beds. Make sure to get there early to snag a good seat.

We've been to this beach bar a few times, and it never lets us down. It’s pretty chill during the week, with a more laid-back crowd. Come the weekend, it gets busier, especially with some cruise ship folks showing up. The food's typical beach bar fare, but the real draw is the calm waters — totally worth a visit. Plus, you can watch planes land nearby, which is pretty cool. Bring a pool float and just relax for hours.

I highly recommend this place

Honestly one of the better restaurants in Aruba with reasonable prices. A lot of places in Aruba can be quite overpriced for what you're getting, but this one struck a good balance between price and quality. Everything we had was tasty, service was great and drinks were good.

Decent food, we had the Seafood pasta and Chicken Carbonara. Both had tons of sauce so bravo for that. We ate lunch and scenery is great. Its Aruba!

We've stopped here to eat every single time we are on the island. I was disappointed in my meal (it was overcooked and dried out BBQ special) but they made good and did not charge me for my meal. They also offered to remake the food, but I was without my appetite at that point. My husband's steak was amazing. No one checked on us the entire time after the meal was placed on the table until my husband was finished eating and I was already long past done trying to eat. I don't know if this is the new norm since we've never experienced this before here, but I hope not. Any other time we've been there, all these would be 5 stars.

We came here based on the Google reviews for happy hour. This was the most disappointing experience. Their menu and signs advertise a happy hour but all of the times are different or marked out. A beach bar in the full sense of the term with all the good and bad that comes along with that. The view is spectacular, the vibe is pleasant and there's a party atmosphere even when the place is not crowded. Food is OK, drinks are better. The joint sits on a main path between the Hyatt and the Marriott properties up the coast so it's great for people watching while sipping a beer.

Pinchos Bar and Grill is a charming open-air restaurant located on a pier extending into the Caribbean Sea in Oranjestad. The casual yet chic eatery offers a funky bar, seating with fabulous water views, and an alluring setting under twinkling blue lights. Specializing in grilled dishes and tapas-style small plates, it's perfect for sharing and sampling various flavors.
Food and service were beyond amazing. We booked our reservations for 6:00 p.m. and it was wonderful because we got to see the sunset and nighttime views from the dinner table. You absolutely need reservations here ESPECIALLY if you are a large group. Make sure that they also confirm your reservation otherwise it's not booked yet. Food was outstanding. One of the best restaurants I've been to in years. 10/10 and I will highly recommend to family and friends who go to Aruba.

Food was good, great views, fun seeing the fish in the water. Service was great. Food was not our favorite on the island but again, it was still good. Biggest complaint was the heat. We went at 6:30 when the sun was set and I know you cannot control the weather but there was no breeze (not sure if that's normal on this part of the island or what) no fans, no air circulation at all, there were tents for shade over us but I think that was holding in heat at that point.

My family and I booked dinner here and loved it so much we came back the next night. The ambience is so beautiful especially at sunset. I truly cannot rave enough about the food. Myself and my family all considered our dishes a literal 10/10. The coconut shrimp is phenomenal and the filet mignon is the best I have ever had. We are already looking forward to returning next year!

We called ahead for a table and were seated immediately upon arrival. The view was unbelievable as we enjoyed the sunset by the water. We could also see fish swimming under us as it got dark. This was our second time to Aruba, but our first time to Pinchos. We got lucky the day off and called and they had an opening. Nice welcoming environment, lovely view over the water with the sunset in the back. Jeysh or server was nice, friendly and greeted us with a warm smile. She answered our questions without hesitation. She gave us our space and everything was timed accordingly. The food was good, nothing to complain about, nice presentation and above par, which we were ok with. I would go back for a nice dinner out. Jeysh, thank you for welcoming us. See you next time. Ron and Nickie

5 stars is not enough. Everything about Pinchos is always excellent. Easy parking. Great scenery & service, and most importantly, great food. Ask Ron or one of the servers for a piece of bread to feed the fish swimming around on the dock where you sit.

Absolutely great place with beautiful and romantic views! We were walking by and saw this place. Decided to stop by for dinner. It was a very good choice! The food was delicious! The service was very good! We got red snapper and fish soup. The soup (seafood bisque) was one of the best! Fish was a great choice, too. Also, pan seard scallops were delicious! We had a great time! Definitely recommend! Great place for dinner to see a beautiful sunset and enjoy delicious and fresh food!!! Live singing 🎶 💕

Went and try the Wine Room Amazing service good wine selection. the cheese platter is exceptional. if you love like I do, try this place out.

It reminded me of a underground speakeasy. The use of the light in the room really gives to a romantic and chill vibe amongst friends. The low lighting is totally a win at this place. The range of wine available is well priced and gives so much variety! I loved it here and would love to come back. There are also memberships available as well that are reasonable. The pesto and dip was a fav and the cheese plate. The owner explains to you the type of wine you are drinking as well. There is also a space for a more intimate dinner as well. I know I’ve said a lot but this place is awesome!

You definitely have to visit The Wine Room while in Aruba! It’s a great getaway from the high tourist parts of town. I selected the wine and food pairing. The ambiance, food and staff was excellent! Monrick was an amazing host, very knowledgeable about wines from all over the world and made you feel like you were dinning at home with your friends and family. It was an unforgettable experience!

If you’re looking for a special, one of a kind wining & dining experience in Aruba, look no further than the Wine Room! My family has been coming to Aruba for over 14 years now, and this was a fun, unique find! From booking the initial reservation, Monrick, the owner and sommelier, was in constant contact and wonderful with communication, even when we had to make a modification to the reservation. When we arrived, he personally greeted us and there were special touches on the table to celebrate my parent’s wedding anniversary. The meal was fantastic, beautifully plated and paired, with the true star of the evening, the wine! The wines were wonderful and ones we had never tried before. Dessert was great as well! We would definitely recommend this enhanced dining experience for a special occasion or just stopping in for some delicious wine tasting! We will definitely be back!

I went here with my wife on a cruise excursion and we had a wonderful time! Monrick introduced us to a lot of wines and paired them with some tapas while explaining the process of analyzing the flavor profile of the wines. We had a great time and definitely recommend it!

Thank you, Manrick, for hosting the wine tasting yesterday (2/6/25). Even though it was, sadly, just the two of us, I commend you on the wine selection and tapas. I appreciated the discussion and the wine information. Your place is very welcoming and comfortable. I wish you continued success in this venture and certainly hope you continue to offer these tastings. Thank you again, Frank H

Barefoot Restaurant is a beloved dining spot offering a tropical beachfront experience with the soothing sounds of the Caribbean ocean as your backdrop. Whether you choose to dine on the beach or in the open palapa, you'll be treated to friendly and professional service. The restaurant provides stunning sunset views, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
This place was absolutely beautiful. Having dinner on the sand/beach was a lovely experience. I would recommend coming at night if you don't want to sit in the sun during the day time. The night time was beautiful. The service was great. Lovely place. Thanks for having us we had a party of 12 and they accommodated our group.

The environment is so beautiful we came during sunset and the server (Rod) asked us to take our picture and he did an amazing job from start to finish. The food was delicious and the staff were also amazing. We came for our honeymoon and the staff were lovely and even wrote on our dessert happy honeymoon. I would 100% recommend this restaurant on your visit!

A beautiful sunset dinner! Barefoot had a great atmosphere, relaxed vibe and good food. You are right by the airport, so you will here some planes taking off and landing, which was pretty cool. There might be some dogs walking around, they won't bother you and if they approach you enjoy them! The food was very good. We had the crab cakes, split the Caprese salad. We ordered the Pineapple Chicken ( very good, curry ,pineapple, veggies stir fry) and the Veal Ossobuco on mashed potatoes. Both meals were very good and filling! Enjoy the nice relaxed romantic atmosphere. Reservations highly recommended.

Barefoot Restaurant in Aruba was the perfect spot for a romantic dinner with a breathtaking sunset view. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. Our server, Carla, was absolutely wonderful, warm, attentive, and made us feel incredibly welcome. A big thank you to her for making our evening extra special. We also had the pleasure of meeting Nikki, the General Manager, who was a true gentleman. He went out of his way to ensure every guest was happy and taken care of, something you don’t see every day. Whether you’re looking for a romantic night out or a lovely meal with family and friends, this place checks all the boxes. Highly recommend!

Thiis restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, and it is perfect for a night out. The service was impressive; the staff was attentive, courteous, and professional throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food did not meet the same standard. While well-presented, it lacked flavor and depth, which was disappointing given the overall experience. With some refinement to the menu, this could truly become a standout dining destination.
Amela H — Google review
Absolutely worth the hype. This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Aruba. We intentionally booked a reservation on the beach to time it around sunset, and it did not disappoint. It might sound a bit gimmicky, but I really enjoyed the experience and it made for some beautiful memories. The food was excellent and delicious. It’s pricy but a once in a lifetime experience. The wait staff was so kind to me too as I tried to practice my Dutch. A truly professional and exquisite meal
Britt — Google review
The food was good at the place. I got chicken Parmesan which was decent the red sauce was a little sweet but not too bad. My wife got the chicken and pineapple dish which she liked. Our 5:45 reservation was clutch because honestly we saw the sunset it was nice and the atmosphere of the beach watching the sunset is stunning. The cons are the following: - club next door Is constantly playing techno/electric music but they warn you ahead of time about it. - When sunset occurs everyone charges the beach for photos so if you have the front table be prepared for a lot of families Infront of your table taking photos while you eat. The dessert lastly featured is the cheesecake which was okay it was missing some components I felt the cheesecake to what we are accustomed to in NY.

Argentinian restaurant
El Gaucho is a renowned Argentine restaurant situated in a charming colonial townhouse on Wilhelminastraat in Aruba. It holds the distinction of being the first Argentine restaurant to open on the island. The menu features an array of delectable dishes, including Argentine steaks, sirloins, and the impressive Pincho Torro Caliente – a colossal shish kebab.
Dining at El Gaucho was an unforgettable experience. The food is absolutely spectacular—every bite was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The service? Also top-notch. The staff is attentive, professional, and clearly well-trained. Now, let’s talk about the price… also spectacular—spectacularly high. It’s definitely on the expensive side, especially considering that the prices are in U.S. dollars, not the local Aruban florin. For two people, you’re easily looking at a bill between $80 to $100, even without going overboard. One thing to note: a 15% service charge is automatically added to the bill, even for parties of two. And if you’re not paying close attention, your server might still ask for an additional tip on top of that. Overall though, the experience was excellent, and the quality of the food speaks for itself. If you’re in Aruba and want to treat yourself to a special dinner, El Gaucho won’t disappoint.
Dr R — Google review
Fantastic food, but customer service is somewhat lacking. Gaucho has always been a staple restaurant for our Aruba trips, but in the past few visits the service has been a bit off. For starters, the hostess always has an attitude, and despite having reservations, you will always have to wait for a table. One group of 6 people before us told us they had been waiting almost 1.5 hours for their table that they had a reservation for! The waiters were very friendly, but this time around we felt very rushed to order and eat. As we were placing the order for one item the waiter would try to run off and we had to tell him “please wait, we’re not done ordering yet”. The bus boys were cleaning off the tables so fast! My mom even told them “I’m not done with this yet” when they asked if she was done, but she turned around 2 minutes later and her plate has been cleared. The food however is fantastic. My rib eye steak was perfectly cooked, the soup was great, and my dessert cocktail was perfection in a cup! We also loved the guitarist that was roaming around from table to table to add some ambience!

Always an annual visit when we go to Aruba. This Argentinian Steak is out of this world! My wife and I always split the Argentine Grill meal, which comes with 5 different meats, and for $55 it’s not a bad deal. For our appetizer we got the meat empanadas. Tasty! For a beverage I got the mudslide, always get it here and never a disappointment. Also, they did a lot of renovations to the place! When you first walk in we noticed the bar was lit-up with new marble granite counter tops. In the dining area they had a whole wine bottle wall setup, looked really nice. Definitely much brighter in the facility as before was much dimmer. Would definitely make reservations in advance! Service overall was great, there definitely good about refilling your waters consistently. My wife and I drove there from the Surf Club, it’s about 15ish min drive, and we park in the street right after the restaurant, right along the little swamp/canal area. Definitely make a trip here if you have not gone yet, the atmosphere and the steak, especially is amazing. Come and enjoy!

The Argentinian grilled meat plate was amazing. Every piece of meat was made so well. The Caribbean seafood plate was cooked very well but not my favourite way to Eat seafood. Next time I go I will opt in to the meat plate.

Overall: 4/5 Our first steakhouse on the island; we all really enjoyed the flavours. My uncle recommended it as he was visiting again after 20+ years! Food - 4/5 - Decently priced flavourful steak. Each set of 2 people shared a Gaucho, as it was a pound of meat. It was an Argentinian steak, and the seasoning and cook tasted great… We all really enjoyed it. The complimentary garlic bread was so tasty as well, I think I had like 6 in total. Also, you get 3 sides included with a main, so it was all really good value! The empanadas were juicy and tasty too! Ambiance - 5/5 - The place had a nice charm, given how old it is, and it was just well-kept and didn’t just feel like a typical restaurant. Service - 4/5 - We had a large group of 16 adults and 3 children, and they really helped accommodate our table and reservation, despite a few changes the day of. It would be a 5/5, but the only thing that our table didn’t appreciate was that the tip wasn’t apart of the service charge. We made many reservations on the island, with most places adding a 15-18% service charge to the bill, but an additional tip was never given or asked for. I am happy to tip, but the whole thing didn’t make much sense because 1) the service charge isn’t considered tip (so what is it then?) 2) if we sat in 5 different tables of 4 people each, then we wouldn’t have had this service charge and 100% of the tip would’ve gone to the servers, which it rightfully should. However, the service was indeed really good, and the servers went above and beyond, so it’s really just this “surprise” that wasn’t expected.

The steaks are well seasoned. The take-out menu is ideal for a good portion of meats at a very reasonable price. Get the Picada land for about 20$ (2 skewers of tenderloin, a sausage, beef ribs, and spare ribs with a side of garlic bread and sauces). They also have a loyalty card, the 12th meal is free!

They made my daughter's birthday very special. My 10 year old daughter was having a rib eating contest with a family friend and the staff played along with prizes and ceremony for her win. The staff is awesome, the food is awesome. We have been owners for awhile and we know we made a good choice by buying here!

Went here several years ago and we’re not impressed at all but given recent reviews decided to return again. Glad we did. Place had been remodeled since our last visit and was very nice. Outdoor and indoor seating. Tables well spaced. Excellent service and good food. We ordered the three course early bird special that was offered all evening during month and was very good. I had the steak option with a Caesar salad. My sister the cordon blue with calamari appetizer and we both enjoyed our meals. Desert was cheese cake which was not as tasty and sort of freezer burned taste. But good price and overall great meal.

Cuban restaurant
Cuba's Cookin' in the Renaissance Marketplace offers a taste of Cuba right in the heart of Oranjestad. The owner, Douglass Markus, has created an ambiance infused with Cuban charm through the cuisine, music, and art collected during his travels to the Big Island over 15 years. The restaurant exudes a nostalgic 'Havana resto bar circa 1959' vibe.
Food was delicious and flavorful! We had the ropa vieja, and grilled chicken dishes. My wife had the Cuban Zombie drink and it was delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy. The Ropa Vieja was flavorful but the meat was not as tender. The rice and beans with fried plantain was amazing too. Overall, great food and atmosphere.
W ( — Google review
Visited Cuba’s Cookin’ on May 10 during a recent trip to Aruba. The experience overall was solid, but not exceptional. The food was average — nothing particularly memorable in flavor or presentation, though it did satisfy the basics. The atmosphere was one of the highlights: lively, colorful, and true to its Cuban theme. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for dining. Service stood out as a strong point — staff were professional, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Prices were on par with most comparable establishments in the area — not a bargain, but not overpriced either. Overall, Cuba’s Cookin’ is a decent choice if you’re nearby and need a meal in a pinch. It’s not a must-visit, but it delivers a dependable experience. Aruba offers plenty of more memorable dining options, but this place holds its own as a clean, friendly, and average stop.
Maria D — Google review
We were there for a late lunch snack. We ordered 6 out of there 8 happy hour specials. Portions were rather small but they were tasty enough. Personal recommendation would be the wings, calamari and the plantain boat. Drinks were half price during happy hour too.
Edwin C — Google review
We stopped in for a snack after renaisannce island and they had tapasitas hour starting at 2:30 PM. We tried the red sangria (not very sweet = perfect in my opinion), mini Cuban sandwich, pork bites and fried calamari. All of it was really tasty! It you like pickles ask for extra pickles in the mini Cuban. We had only one in ours (probably the only "bad" part of our experience). Now its hard for me to give 5 stars for the food when we only had a few appetizers and not a full sit down dinner. With that, I'm sure that their full menu is excellent and lives up to the expectation that I now have of their food. The location is great and we enjoyed the outdoor seating with the amazing Aruban breeze! Service was great too (keep in mind that it was early and they were not busy at all) so that was a plus. We said we would definitely come back when shopping in the downtown area!
Leslie M — Google review
We have gone in twice for Tapas and drinks while walking around town. They have good Wi-Fi, cold beer, and a nice breeze blowing through the porch part of the restaurant. The servers are more polite than friendly, and have never offered another beverage when we had an empty one next to us. They also have missed bringing items we have asked for, like hot sauce. We especially like the Plantain Boats and Mini Cuban Sandwich snacks. Their fries are well-cooked and brought out nice and hot. We would eat at Cuba's Cooking again.
Daniel G — Google review
Absolutely the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. I got the sampler plate with 3 meats. Ribs were cold, shredded beef was super tough and had no flavor, beans had a funk taste to them. Only thing edible on the plate was the plantains. Drink was nothing but sugar. Service was “ok” asked by 4 different workers to order, after I ordered already. They offered to fix it when they saw I ate nothing and i refused as they would just toss it back in the microwave. My response Thank you for the time to respond, if I enjoyed my drink why was it full when I left? I did finish my water but not the drink. Like I said the service was ok and she did offer to fix the cold ribs which were warm on the top and COLD on the bottom. A clear sign of not fresh food cooked in a microwave. And yes I tipped the server a decent amount even though I left unhappy cause they did nothing wrong, it’s how you run your business with cold microwaved food hoping tourist don’t review that caused my negative review. Bottom line is your food sucks. I know I’m not the only one as the 2 other tables that left when I was there either left behind a ton of food or took full to-go boxes. Most people are to afraid to be honest but I’m not.
Antonio B — Google review
We had such promising hope and we came to eat here. When we arrived, only one other table was set, which was a couple of two. We arrived with our entire family and we promptly ordered. At first service was really good. They made sure that we have enough water. We had our menus and we were able to place our orders promptly. It took a little while, but after about eight minutes or seven, our drinks came out. After that, we sat for about an hour before any of our food was ever served. When our food was finally served, only appetizers came out first and that is after an hour waiting. It took about another 25 minutes for the rest of our food to be served and still one person in our party. Their food wasn’t served. Also, the fish that some person in my party received was uncooked, you would think after waiting such a long time that the fish would at least be thoroughly cooked About three other tables were sat after us, and all of these tables received their food before we did. I will say that they were able to comp the fish, but overall it was just a dissatisfying experience. The food was just overall mid the Ropa Vieja felt a little bit old and tough.

I’ll start with the positives: the food and atmosphere were fantastic. My wife said it was the best steak she’s had in years—cooked absolutely perfectly! I also highly recommend the Tuna Tataki—it was outstanding. Now for the not-so-good: the service. It was incredibly slow, and the place wasn’t even that crowded. We waited an unusually long time for our food (and even with live entertainment to distract us, it still felt like forever). When we were finished, we couldn’t find our waitress anywhere to bring the bill. Other staff were around cleaning tables, but we just sat waiting. Even after our waitress finally came by, smiled, and acknowledged us, it still took several more minutes before we got the check. Bottom line: the food was excellent, but the service was maybe a 4 out of 10.

I had the three course meal when I visited with a friend on a weekday evening. It consisted of coconut shrimp for appetizer, seafood pasta as the main, & crème brûlée for dessert. I wanted to swap the dessert for another option but they would not allow it regardless of offering to pay the difference which was disappointing. The shrimp was burnt as if it was refried twice & the pasta was pretty much false advertisement. The seafood pasta is listed to have lobster, shrimp, & mussels. Our pastas only had about 6 shrimps & bits of mussels no lobster whatsoever between both plates. Lastly for dessert was the crème brûlée, it left much to be desired as it was served cold. As a whole- the meal was only $28 so it’s not terrible but I wouldn’t recommend.

What an experience we had (party of 6) that came in for Brunch. We were accommodated by a wonderful waitress that sat us down quickly, offered drinks and took our menu. Drinks came out rather quickly (5-7 mins) and then we sat and waited… we ordered basics that did not take much time to make, the venue did not appear packed either, the wait was truly a surprise. After 55 mins of no food I had to ask for its status which the waitress said was being made at that moment. Within 5 mins our dishes started to come out. The food was delicious, made well and flavors on point, but the wait truly made the meals unpleasant. We can’t even blame the waitress, there were a few staff members that were not even doing anything but were on their phones instead. I would strongly encourage management to speak to their staff about being punctual and more attentive.

Bistro de Suikertuin is a charming bistro located in a historic home in downtown Oranjestad, offering a cozy and trendy dining experience. The restaurant opens daily at 7:30 am, serving affordable breakfast specials such as the Aruban, American, Caribbean, and Mexican breakfast. In addition to quality coffee and healthy lunch options, they also provide a full dinner menu featuring dishes like chicken cordon bleu and beef tenderloin with Dutch potatoes.
Suikertuin is a nice establishment. The building is very nice and the bougainvillea trees make it very picturesque. The inside ambiance is quite welcoming as well. The food was good. I enjoyed the tuna item. The loaded nachos were very filling, but good. The drinks were well made. The service was friendly and courteous. I’d say almost every item here (not just the food) was presented in a very aesthetically pleasing manner. You could tell that some thought was put into it.

Wanted some local food and beers and found this restaurant about a 1 km walk from where our ship was docked. No obvious tourists inside, and the place was well reviewed. I was not disappointed! Started with a bucket of ice cold Balashi beers, a local favorite, and definitely needed to cool off from the walk as it was incredibly hot and humid outside at midday. There is a very charming garden with tables in the back, but nobody had the guts to sit out there because of the heat, so we got to enjoy some air-conditioning! I asked the server what people really enjoy and continually order at her restaurant, and she suggested the beef carpaccio. It was quite good, fresh, flavorful, with quality beef, and a peppercorn style dressing on top of the rocket (arugula) and greens. The special of a tuna club sandwich sounded interesting, and indeed it was, with a fried egg on top of the tuna. Gave off a very European vibe to me, but Aruba is Dutch, so there you go. With my lunch, I ordered the onion soup, which was different from its French cousin, in that it used a pungent blue cheese, and a large number of herbs. It had just the right amount of onions in there, was not overly salty, and was quite tasty. Served in what appeared to be a candy dish, it was excellent, despite it being very hot outside and seemingly a bad day to order soup. Do yourself a favor and order a bowl! My buddy ordered a pasta Bolognese, which he said was excellent, along with a bowl of the same onion soup for himself. Service was island relaxed, and they checked in on us from time to time. Friendly and knowledgeable, they spoke excellent English, and helped us enjoy the great meal.

While walking through Downtown Oranjestad, my wife and I were told that this place had the best Apple Pie. My wife and I decided to go here for dinner that evening. The restaurant has a very cozy Dutch vibe, it really transports you there! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful while looking over the menu. My wife and I enjoyed our fish and Chicken entrees that we ordered. The food was seasoned and cooked extremely well. Now for the part that you're waiting for, the Dutch Apple Pie was excellent! We've never had an "authentic" Dutch pie. In the US our apple pies are "wet" and I didn't think there was another way to make Apple pie 😂. Well this apple pie did not have much moisture but was still extremely flavorful, had great texture, and created a wonderful experience in the mouth. We had a really good time at this restaurant, we highly recommend it! Especially if you like a good apple pie for dessert.

Lovely spot with great food – would recommend! I’ve eaten at De Suikertuin twice now and both times were really good. First of all, the setting is great – their garden is super peaceful, with birds chirping in the background. A very calm and welcoming place to start your evening. Service is thoughtful from the start – they ask about allergies right away, and even the amuse was adjusted for me (a small pumpkin soup and a little bite – a nice touch). I’ve had the shrimp ravioli and the fried prawns with vegetables – both very tasty. The chocolate lava cake is definitely worth saving room for! Overall, I’ve had really good experiences here: friendly staff, high-quality food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Only thing to note is that the food can take a while to arrive, but it’s worth the wait.

This restaurant was one of the best I have ever visited. We walked here from the cruise port. The staff was so amazing they were so friendly and the food was really tasty.

City Garden Bistro de Suikertuin is the calm in the midst of our daily busy lives. The settling is beautiful. Parking is free or on the street. We arrived as a party of seven. An email to make a reservation was easily arranged and responded to. No left overs were observed from our group of 3 generations. Popular dishes such as the Filet Americain Baguette with beef tartare was sold out. Ingredients looked very fresh. The Dutch Apple pie and Jardin au Chocolat were beautifully composed and demolished. We were told all the desserts are made in house. I would have lingered longer but we had to leave Aruba. A very enjoyable meal for all in our group.

This restaurants has a warm, intimate and chill ambiance. It’s a 100 year old renovated home, made of concrete, seashells, and sandstone, which adds to homey vibe. On top of that the food is delicious. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by Gidi, who did a wonderful job in explaining the menu and specials for the evening, while providing his favorites and recommendations. As the night progressed I met the bartender Pari, she makes flavorful and well balanced drinks. Pari & Gidi gave awesome insight if Aruba and things to do and explore while on the island. Check this place out while you’re in Aruba and enjoy the cultural exchange!!

Everything was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious, featuring rich flavors and top-quality ingredients. The Colombian coffee was outstanding—smooth, bold, and clearly crafted with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. On top of that, the service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for any time of day, whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or just a great cup of coffee.

Early morning breakfast with family of four. Iced coffee and iced mocha were great. Quiche Lorraine was filling and tasty. Avocado toast with boiled egg was good. Could have used a dressing or side sauce in my opinion. Service was great and friendly. Great atmosphere and vibe.

UPDATE - Santos near the Alhambra Casino Came back a few more times for breakfast and lunch, Jalaya was our server most of the time, also Valentina , they were among the most attentive people we encountered during our stay in Aruba. When you go make sure to ask for them We tried the cake of the day and the pound Buttery, soft and fresh ! Soooo good! Def will recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to start your day. Lovely place, lots of space outdoors under the shade of a beautiful old tree, with lots of breeze and amazing nature sounds. Our server was Jon and he was amazing! Coffee was just at the right temperature, flavor was delicious , just perfect! Food so tasty! You got to try the avocado! Flavor is sweet and sublime! Definitely beats any of those commercial chain places “wink wink”

When visiting Aruba, don't miss out on exploring the vibrant shopping scene in downtown Oranjestad. Royal Plaza Mall stands out with its charming Dutch-influenced architecture and a colorful atmosphere. The mall offers a diverse range of stores, from popular mid-range brands to local shops selling unique Aruban jewelry. Venture upstairs for stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, perfect for capturing memorable photos. This modern and stylish shopping center caters to those seeking a premium shopping experience.
The exterior construction/ facade reminds me of the Sheraton Moana Surfrider property in Waikiki... old English accents... royal/regal themed... easy to access via walking from the cruise ship port...

Good variety of shops. Lots of helpful people. Prices are a bit on the salty side. No surprise there. This is a hot spot for the cruise ships after all. But you should still check it out and take advantage of meeting some wonderful people and a new culture.
Greg W — Google review
Beautiful for a souvenir photo - made solely for tourists. I came there at 17:45 and all shops were already closed even though my cruise ship was docked till late evening. Nonetheless made nice photos.

Great area to walk around and see the influence of the Dutch architecture but the vibrant colors that are used in the Caribbean. Also a very good place for a few hours of walking around shooting pictures and of course souvenir shopping. Then go to one of the many restaurants and get some lunch and a Caribbean drink.

Very nice mall with many shops. Well decorated for the seasons. Very large Starbucks with very good refreshments. Free WiFi and places to sit to check your emails.
Richard F — Google review
Lots of little shops, most of them have the same stuff. Cruise ships come here so it can get quite busy, but it's a good place to blow a couple of hours and grab some lunch. Some of the shops have handmade stuff that makes it possible to get a one of a kind. The bus station is here which makes getting here easy.

Fun mix of stores, both real life and tourist type. 2nd floor restaurants with a street view are great for people watching. We ate at Mojitos, which was great, and shopped at DelSol, Cariloha and Los Tres Reyes, all of which had a nice selection of items that werent shotglasses and tourist tee shirts. Plus the architecture gets you in the island mood. Luckily we were there when only 1 ship was in port, so it wasnt crazy busy.

Nestled in a quiet downtown street, Aruba Experience Cafe - Patisserie is housed in a renovated old Aruban "cunucu" villa, exuding Dutch Caribbean charm. The cafe offers freshly baked delicacies and excellent barista-brewed coffee. With its beautiful decor featuring rattan furniture and tropical foliage, the cafe is a favorite brunch spot in Oranjestad.
This was a beautiful local place to enjoy the best authenticity Aruba has to offer! The atmosphere when you walk in is unexpected! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and had zero wait time to be seated. The service was better than most high end restaurants. We started off with two espresso’s and a Bellini mimosa that was super refreshing. We then tried two yuca arepas - one filled with pernil and cheese and the other with egg/ham/cheese - chefs kiss muaaah! We then ordered the I Am Loyal dish with a side of black beans and it was delicious. 8/10 for me, the eggs where just a little bit over cooked for my liking but it was flavorful! We ended the experience with a mint/ginger tea and it was so good! Highly recommend this place to anyone! We will be back for the croissants 🥐 tomorrow!!

Aruba Experience Café - Pâtisserie is an absolute gem! The environment and service were both outstanding — warm, welcoming, and full of charm. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it easy to find the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the island breeze. We tried a few of their drinks, and they were excellent — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They also have a tempting menu of food items, but we had already eaten dinner, so we’ll definitely be back to try more next time. From the outside, the café looks pretty unassuming, but once you step inside, it’s a whole different experience — cozy, stylish, and full of character. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Oranjestad!

This spot feels like a hidden gem straight out of a travel magazine. Set inside a restored historic building with stone walls and vintage décor, Aruba Experience Café blends local charm with modern flair. We came for breakfast and loved every bite, the omelet was packed with flavor, the arepas were perfectly crispy, and the fresh cheese and plantains tied it all together. It’s the kind of place you could hang out for hour sipping coffee, soaking in the atmosphere, and feeling like you’re part of old Aruba.

I had a great experience here! The food was delicious and the service was very good. The views are absolutely stunning, especially being able to look out at the ocean while you eat. What a great spot! We went around 7 for some dinner and drinks. Fresh cocktails, I mean they blend that shit when you order. I had the frozen Mojito (with fresh mint), it was fantastic. The Aruba Ariba was very good🤙🏼 We ordered the Aruban BBQ, amazing! Slow roasted chicken leg, BBQ beef tips, potato salad, pork and beans and corn....yeah, everything rocked! Delicious. They play music with lights synced up so it has a nice party vibe. We had rap stelist all night (Dre, Cube, Snoop, Eminem, Busta, Nelly...), made the night even better! 🤘🏼 (Parents of young kids, you've been informed) Great place to have some drinks/food and chill.
Chris K — Google review
Food is greasy, service is not good. First time called ahead to pick up no problem, second time refused and hung up on me. Went to pick up and asked for substitution for fries because of a potato allergy and offered to pay extra, and said I could get rice and beans. Then brought my food with French fries said because I couldn’t substitute but didn’t tell me until my order was ready. Considering I spent over $150 at this place, I guess they don’t have that ‘Aruban friendliness’ everyone talks about. Disappointing.

I initially wanted to go to another beach, but was told it was a private beach - only accessible to the hotel’s guests; and Coco Loco Beach Bar was recommended for me to go to instead. Overall, the beach and bar have the majority of the amenities that you would want. I felt the drinks were super overpriced for the serving sizes (and also quite watered down), and its US $20 to rent an umbrella and US $20 to rent a sun lounger. I didn’t find the staff very warm or accommodating - which is the opposite to the usual vibes and service elsewhere in on the One Happy Island. So this is the main reason I wouldn’t visit again.

Bar
Apotek Speakeasy is a unique and cool bar that offers a throwback experience to the 1970s. The entrance involves ringing a doorbell, and once inside, the smoky atmosphere adds to the vintage ambiance. The drink menu resembles an old pharmacist's book, with a selection of RX Prescription Drinks displayed on a wall. While there's no food available, the strong drinks and exceptional service make up for it.
This was my favourite find of my trip in Aruba! I didn’t feel like going for a drink but a whole experience. From the door to the drinks to the music, I loved it all! The cocktails were some of the best I’ve ever had and I hope everyone that ends up in Aruba, visits this speakeasy!
Chara G — Google review
A causal SPEAKEASY, semi-hidden in An alley of Oranjestad. I wasn’t expecting much on the cocktail vibes in Aruba, but this place certainly is attaining high value. Ring the doorbell for entry. Although the drinks are not heavy on alcohol And they do not go off menu, they do have a surplus of entertaining choices with an experience to go with most. We absolutely enjoyed the smoke elixir cocktail, a must try if you love the cigar smell and smokiness of a drink. Can’t wait to see their next chapter, I suggest you ask them when you arrive.

Definitely a must-visit if you're looking for a chill but stylish night out in Aruba.

Very cool speakeasy bar in downtown Oranjestad. Reservations are required. Feels like stepping into a secret space. The menu has unfamiliar names, which are familiar drinks prepared in unique ways. All were excellent. The staff was really helpful and very friendly. The tour of the space was an unexpected treat.

100% recommend! Came here with my friend on a Wednesday night. It was relatively quiet inside and our hostess Grey (so nice!) sat us at the bar. We started off with an order of the Painkiller shots. The service can be better they cater to certain individuals depending on the time but I came here for dinner and had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries with wings and it was delicious the service was great very attentive I returned 2 days later for breakfast it was good , you can’t go wrong with a omelette but the service was definitely lacking The view is breathtaking and it’s so relaxing. I would return if I am ever in the area. They are reasonably priced. The drinks during dinner had very faint taste of alcohol mostly juice.

Let’s start with the positive… the view on the Arubas nicest and most chill beach is great. But the food is not much… The music is nice although too loud. The ceasar salad is only lettuce with croutons. No egg or achovies and the chicken you have to order extra. The service is even worse… we were a party of 5 and they forgot my order. No excuse nothing… the bill was just dropped on the table without saying a word. All of the staff just looked and were crumpy. Such a shame…

Cool night life place with lots of options for food and drinks. This marketplace is bustling if you are looking for something to do into the evening and enjoy more of a party vibe as there usually is a live band and lots of noise. The drawback to this is, if you stay at the Renaissance hotel next to it that is kid friendly, then the noise can be a pain.

My wife and I watched Ohio State beat Texas at Carlitos with other Ohio State fans and had a great time!! Ohio State fans all over in Aruba. My wife and I left CMH in Ohio at 7:30 AM and landed in Aruba at 2:30 PM and weather was perfect and 85 degrees. Chicken wrap spicy was mouth watering good and beef nachos that we devoured and a bucket a chill doesn't get much better to start your 9 day vacay!!

We went to Carlitos primarily for happy hour, which was pretty much all day, and lunch. I must say, there was very little alcohol, in the cocktails. You could barely taste the alcohol, if any 🤔 the food was your typical pub style food, it was good. Service could be better.

I had an TERRIBLE time at this restaurant. It actually gave me anxiety eating here. We sat at a table for 20 minutes and no one came up to us to ask for our drink order. I had to ask for everything multiple times from multiple people and no one ended up bringing these items. For example. I had to ask for both of my cokes. It took 1 hour to receive them. I was going to order a third, but changed my mind because it took so long. The waitress said the bar had to make a fountain drink. And then proceeded to make it herself. As expected. I asked for ranch from three different staff members and none of them brought it. The food was horrible. I had a chicken wrap and it was disgusting. I took two bites. My friend ordered the quesadilla and also said it was awful. We paid $60 for a meal that was horrible that we didn’t eat. The wait staff was extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. It’s time to fire your whole wait staff. Our waitress had the worst attitude ive ever experienced. She also was walking back and forth not accomplishing anything. Not looking in our direction. And never checked on us. She then proceeded to hand me her tablet for a tip. I looked at her and said no. Overall very disappointing. Do better. Please go to any other restaurant.

Watched every 1:00 NFL game here-all teams represented. Host was very patient as most people showed up at 12:50 expecting a seat-there was not. Get there by noon if you want to sit. Lots of people standing, so be ready to tell them to sit or move as the TV's are all on one wall. Food was good, beer was cold. Vibe was pretty cool if your team was ahead. Even AFC East fans got along somehow.

Carlitos provided an excellent lunch experience. One of the best aspects of this restaurant is its convenient location just off the beach. We strolled over from the Holiday Inn beachfront and found ourselves at Carlitos in no time. The menu offered a variety of mixed drinks, beers, and a diverse selection of delicious burgers, sandwiches, fish entrees, starters, and sides. I opted for the chicken sandwich, while my friend chose the veggie quesadilla. Both dishes were outstanding and exactly what we needed after enjoying a few beers and other drinks on the beach earlier. The service was top-notch and impressively fast. I highly recommend this place for its exceptional food and efficient service.
Matteo F — Google review
Our favorite bar in Aruba. We visited for nightcaps every night. Lots of TV's with different sports on all of them. We also had lunch there one day and the burgers were the best!
Mary M — Google review
This restaurant has a lot of potential. It’s in a great location, the food is good, and the drinks are well-prepared. It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. However, the only downside is the service from one particular waiter who usually works in the evenings. He has been there for many years, but unfortunately, he tends to be rude to customers, which affects the overall experience. With friendlier and more professional service, this place could be truly excellent.

First time great experience. I went back to have dinner, 1) wings way to salty 2) nachos, ask no jalapeño, they were in the ground meet and very salty. Quesadillas not good either. Very Disappointed. Maybe other bar food maybe better. They should definitely lighten up on the salt. I’ll be back and give it another try but I would order something different. Everyone deserves a second chance.

I stayed here for 4 days and had a great time. The place is very beautiful and clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Everyone made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was nice and comfortable, and I had everything I needed. One of the best parts of my stay was getting access to their private island. It was amazing! Flamingo Beach was so pretty, and seeing the flamingos up close was something I’ll never forget. The water was clear and calm, perfect for relaxing or swimming. The whole experience was peaceful and fun. I would definitely come back and I really recommend this place to anyone looking for a special getaway. You will love it!

It's a small marina with a small store with very limited inventory. There are 3 persons who operate this marina, and they are great people , and Ivan, I assume he is a dock master, provides some service including cleaning. Hans, who is a marina manager, would do whatever he can to help people to get parts and services

Beautiful marina, we just walked by several times to and from our hotel but really enjoyed it! Also the boat ride to the private Renaissance island goes through here and it's beautiful. The only boat ride you need in Aruba, since tours are overrated!

Restaurant
Papiamento Restaurant in Noord, Aruba is known for its delicious keshi yena, a traditional dish made with stuffed cheese. The restaurant offers a variety of versions of this national dish, with each Aruban family having their own closely guarded recipe. Papiamento's version combines shredded tenderloin, chicken, and secret ingredients cooked to perfection. Housed inside a 150-year-old Aruban dwelling, the restaurant provides an immersive experience in the island's history.
The ambiance here at Papiamento is truly delightful, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel instantly comfortable. The decor is stylish yet unpretentious, creating a relaxing space for enjoying a meal. And the food? Absolutely exceptional! Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. From the appetizers to the desserts, the quality was consistently high. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Walking into this restaurant, I was immediately captivated by an atmosphere that radiates the charm and warmth of an authentic Caribbean eatery. The vibrant decor and friendly staff—aside from a hostess who, glued to her computer screen while checking reservations, greeted each guest with robotic indifference—created high expectations for a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, the food failed to match the promise of its inviting surroundings. Every dish we sampled was disappointingly bland, lacking the bold, dynamic flavors that are the hallmark of Caribbean cuisine. The shrimp and panga fish were notably under-seasoned, missing the signature spices and zest I anticipated. Even the sides, which should have showcased tropical flair, felt uninspired and forgettable. While the overall service was attentive and the ambiance delightful, the kitchen simply did not deliver the authentic, flavorful experience that makes Caribbean food so special. If you’re seeking a restaurant with great atmosphere, this place delivers. However, for those in search of genuine Caribbean taste, you may leave wishing for much more. In hindsight, I should have known what to expect when the meal began with the driest bread imaginable—seemingly pulled straight from a plastic bag—and served with butter that tasted like the cheapest option from a local supermarket. I feel like I just wasted 150 U.S. dollars.

With so many options, we were a bit torn on where to go for our anniversary dinner, but landed on Papiamento. And I am so glad we did! We had an incredible experience. They staff was kind, welcoming, and accommodating. Service was a little slow, so don't expect to get in an out in a rush. Such a unique atmosphere and we truly loved it! The food was amazing and different from the usual, the wine list is expansive and they did help us select the right bottle for us, and it was just absolutely beautiful. The wine celler is something to be admired and the cigar lounge is small but mighty. We will definitely recommend this place to everyone! Thank you all for a lovely dining experience

We had a reservation at 7:30, showed up at 7:45 and had to wait to be seated, understandable. Second the table was wobbly and had to get 2 people to come stabilize it. Next came the drinks, they were good. Then came the app, the brie brulee, which was also good but only came with 3 small pieces of toast. Next came the steak tenderloin (not served on the stone). Asked for medium well and it came out more like medium rare. One had to be sent back. It was good but I wasn't impressed. And the servers, one mainly, was less than attentive. I probably won't be back, though the atmosphere is it's biggest draw.

Best meal we have had in Aruba. It is truely an experience more than just a meal. We were lucky enough to get seated next to the pool and have Ruth and Ginovanni take care of us. Take their recommendations! The ambiance is indescribable, the food and service were impeccable. Papiamento’s will be the first reservation we make each time we come to Aruba from now on.

Pelican Pier, also known as Pelican Nest Restaurant, is a popular dining spot located on the Pelican Pier on Palm Beach in Aruba. It has been a favorite among families since 1994 and offers a memorable dining experience above the Caribbean Sea. The restaurant is renowned for its delicious seafood dishes, with the Mermaid Cove specialty trio being highly recommended. Additionally, it features a casual and peaceful dining area along with a lively bar space that offers stunning water views.
We had a fantastic dinner at The Pelican's Nest in Aruba! The restaurant is set on a beautiful pier with stunning sunset views. Our server, Juan Carlos, was amazing—super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed all night. We started with a delicious crab cake, then enjoyed the blackened grouper and mahi-mahi with plantains. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The best surprise? Juan Carlos brought out a birthday cheesecake for my husband—we didn’t even mention it, and it made the night so special. Great food, amazing views, and outstanding service. Highly recommend—ask for Juan Carlos if you can!

A short walk from the Hyatt, love the location and interior of this restaurant. Make sure to sit in the side that sees the sunset. Great sunset views. Nice and breezy in the main dining room. Fried Calamari was good. Entrees did take awhile so be patient. We did enjoy the Black grouper and red snapper. My daughters loved the Mother Earth bowls.

Whenever we come to Aruba on vacation, we always make sure we have dinner out on the deck over the water at Pelican Nest. The views & sunsets are amazing! Michelle was our server/photographer and she was fabulous! The coconut shrimp 🍤 is a big favorite of mine. Thank you for making our 50th wedding anniversary a wonderful experience!

My wife and I came here for dinner while on our honeymoon and we loved this spot! Like a lot of places in Aruba, The Pelican Pier has one of the greatest sunset views our dinner that we had the privilege to be our backdrop during dinner. The cocktails were amazing and I highly recommend the charred pineapple one. Hands down the best cocktail I had the whole time in Aruba. The portions here were very generous so if you are someone who doesn't eat a lot I would look to share with someone. It is a simple straight forward menu, no tricks or fancy gimmicks. Overall we cannot recommend this spot enough! Very well done 👍🏽

This was our second trip to Aruba. Even though we stayed at an AI this year, we had to go back to the Pelican’s Nest for the ceviche. They did not disappoint! Renaissance Island is a luxurious escape famous for its stunning white sand beaches, crystal blue waters, and charming flamingo population. This private island, owned by the Renaissance Resort, can be accessed via a ferry ride. Guests of the resort have complimentary access to the island, while day passes are available for purchase on a limited basis upon arrival.
Scored a day pass to the island. 2 great beaches, lots of wildlife. If you get a chance to come here, it's a must. Snorkeling was easy and fun. Lots of fish, 9 flamingos, alot of iguanas. Bring US quarters for the flamingo food dispenser.
Jon J — Google review
Renaissance Island is a nice little getaway from Aruba if you're really into the beach scene. As a marine biologist by profession I especially appreciated how they kept the island as natural as possible preserving the different types of mangroves. I enjoyed how close and personal you could get with the flamingos and the children on site enjoyed feeding them and the Green iguanas. Near Flamingo Beach Lookout under the bridge as there are lots of colorful fish 🐟 for you to enjoy. Felt "dushi" at Renaissance Island.
Dr. O — Google review
Beautiful place to visit. Family side and adult side. Bar and restaurant in the island. They provide towels if staying in room along with floating mats and snorkel equipment.
Jim M — Google review
Rare opportunity to wade in the waters with flamingoes. If there aren’t any around the beaches during your visit try looking along the nature walks and the backside of some of the amenities
Kevin A — Google review
This beautiful beach and island offer a unique opportunity to see flamingos up close, and it's a dream come true for anyone who's ever fantasized about this kind of encounter. The setting is stunning, with clear turquoise waters and soft sandy shores. A few tips for your visit: Skip the cocktails as they're mostly water and sugar—stick to the beer for a better drink experience. Cabanas are often sold out, but don't lose hope; they sometimes become available even the day before due to cancellations. Planning ahead is crucial, but it's definitely worth the effort. If you’re not staying at the Renaissance Hotel, day passes are sold at 9 am every Saturday (as of now) Bring sunscreen, you don’t want to be paying 31$ like we did for when ours finished. As a kid, I dreamed of coming to Aruba just to meet the flamingos on this island, and while seeing them was wonderful, I learned that they are actually kept in captivity and they just can’t leave. I hope this changes in the future to allow for a more natural habitat for these beautiful birds. I didn't want to bother the flamingos too much, it was so nice to see them roaming around freely. I also hope the island provides better food for them in the future instead of dog food that tourists pay for. Seeing the iguanas enjoying a giant bucket of fresh fruits for lunch all together made me super happy. Small adjustments could go a long way.
M B — Google review
I went here yesterday and had the time of my life honestly, the interaction with the animals on the island is top tier for sure !
Slango L — Google review
Visited Renaissance Island since it was included in our stay at the hotel. The journey from the hotel dock took about 5-7 mins by water taxi. There is a side of the island for families and kids, and another side for adults only. We spent all day on the adults side and were lucky enough to snag lounge chairs front row on the beach. The service is great (from the guys manning the equipment who offered to carry our floaties for us to our server who checked in with us regularly to make sure our drinks were filled). The drinks were delish. Our favorite dish from the Mangrove Beach Bar & Fish Shack was the covina in a pouch - sooo flavorful! "The "beach" is protected, so no waves and very little wind - great for floating in the water. A few pink flamingos roamed around and we saw quite a few people feeding and interacting with them (we left them alone). It was worth it since access was included with our stay, but we didn't feel it would be worth it if we paid for a pass. It was fun to see, but probably wouldn't go back. The actual beaches in Aruba are much more interesting.
Nicole L — Google review
I think I was most excited about the close encounter with the flamingos…but they could honestly care less about us! And when I tried to feed them they weren’t hungry. However the island is absolutely gorgeous and it’s a great place to relax and get some instagramable pics and videos! The only downside was the airplanes constantly taking off the runway parallel to the island. The massages we booked to get on the island were absolutely amazing! Worth every penny!!! For my hubby and I for the day at the island including floats, towels, lounge chairs, 2 entrees of our choice from the menu, 2 mixed drinks, 2 50min Swedish massages in a hut that opens to the ocean with the waves as our background music it was $385. It was perfect! A great way to spend the day! I’d most definitely go back for those massages! The food and drinks were excellent! And the service was phenomenal. And be patient with your servers! Island time runs a little bit slower and more relaxed! But everyone was so kind!

Alfie's in Aruba is a small and humble pub located near the church in Oranjestad. Despite its seemingly sketchy location, it is relatively safe and offers great quality food. The Le Twist and General Chow burgers are highly recommended, along with the Mushroom Swiss. In addition to burgers, they also serve wraps, salads, and delicious poutine. It's a great spot for enjoying burgers, wings, and seafood while being entertained by live music in a cozy atmosphere.
Alfie's: A Canadian Gem in Aruba Alfie's in Aruba is a fantastic restaurant with exceptional service. The owner, a friendly Canadian, took the time to check in on us and ensure our dining experience was top-notch. The staff was knowledgeable about gluten-free options and accommodated our dietary needs. The burgers were absolutely delicious, some of the best we've ever had. The vegetarian bean burger was a standout, perfect for vegans and vegetarians. The fries, onion rings, and margaritas were also excellent. While the limited gluten-free options could be improved with clearer labeling, Alfie's is still a must-visit for anyone in Aruba. We highly recommend it!

Alfie’s was a pretty good place to get a burger and I really like the poutine. We also tried the Mac and cheese and the goobers wings. The Mac and cheese was a bit grainy and I wouldn’t get it again, the wings were decent although pb&j is a weird sauce type. The burgers were really good and I would definitely go for them again. The poutine was also very good.

There's only two bars on the Island of Aruba that support and nurture underground and alternative music culture, and this is one of them, so if you're into punk, grunge or anything else alternative music related, this is a must hang in Aruba! What a hidden gem! I found this place online, the Poutine + live music intrigued me. We made a reservation for a Thursday night so we could try the ribs. As it turned out no one was in the mood. We got burgers and a BLT. They loved their burgers. My BLT was next level. The bun was so good. Best BLT I ever had. We tried the regular poutine and with sweet potato fries. Both were excellent! Onto the live music. There was a guy singing acoustic with a guitar and a drummer, turns out he's from a local band called Active Mirror. Such talent! He has a voice that gives you chills when he hits the high notes. We had a great night out at Alfie's and will be back to try the ribs next time we are in town.

We stopped by this bar at 7 p.m. to get some ice cream. The place was still open, full of people, and their hours clearly state they close at 8 p.m. However, when we asked, the waiter told us they were already closing and couldn’t serve us. Queen Beatrix International Airport in Aruba offers a convenient and efficient travel experience. The airport features a variety of amenities including shopping, a sculpture garden, and even a meditation room for travelers to relax before their flights. Arriving from Aruba to the United States allows passengers to bypass customs upon arrival, making the process smoother. The airport's proximity to popular areas like Palm Beach in Oranjestad makes it easily accessible by car.
A fantastic travel experience from start to finish! Queen Beatrix International Airport is clean, modern, and incredibly well-organized. The staff are warm and welcoming, making you feel the island’s hospitality the moment you arrive. Fast security checks, great duty-free shopping, and plenty of dining options make both arrival and departure smooth and stress-free. Truly one of the best airports in the Caribbean!

Small airport. If you go early you get three faster. Not many places to eat. Most don’t open until 10:30 and take 30 minutes for your food. Duty free shops are overpriced. People were helpful and friendly.

MomAger W — Google review
If you value your time, nerves, and common sense — stay far away from this airport. It’s an absolute nightmare. The queues are endless, people are herded between terminals under scorching heat, and there’s no real organization whatsoever. The staff seem more interested in trying to extract dollars from you for “fast-track” service than in actually helping passengers. Exiting to the city is a whole separate horror story. Everything is so inconvenient that you start to wonder if anyone actually considered passengers when planning this place. If you want to see what true service in the tourism industry looks like, go to Amsterdam: everything runs perfectly, and the staff are polite and organized. This airport doesn’t even come close. The useless color-coded boarding messages are particularly frustrating — they give the illusion of order but do nothing in practice. And the queues between terminals for boarding are enough to drive anyone crazy. Honestly, this is one of the worst airports I’ve ever encountered. If you value your time and your sanity — avoid it entirely. Neither the airport nor its service is worth your attention. Э
BloxBlox M — Google review
The lines here are insane. They don’t have enough staff to handle the amount of people that come through this airport. This was our first time in Aruba and I would recommend everyone come four hours early. Have everything ready to go. The airport itself is fairly nice and they offer a lot of store once you get past the massacre of Aruba customs and USA customs.
Isaac S — Google review
Worst airport I have ever experienced. Lines were insane waited for about 2 1/2 hours just for customs. I would probably come 3-4 hours early. They have you stand outside for security while the building next to you is completely empty. All while airport employees hover around you to pay $145 per person for “VIP Fast Pass” which gets you to the front of the line. Maybe instead of hiring people to sell a fast pass, they could make the lines more efficient. Not to mention people abusing the wheelchairs to get to the front of the line. One lady used a wheelchair to bypass the lines and I later saw her walking around. The inside of the airport is depressing and lifeless. Customs officials were on TikTok and YouTube while checking passports which did not make efficiency any better. If you had a great stay at Aruba, I guarantee that this airport will ruin it. Aruba is a very beautiful island with lots to offer, it truly is One Happy Island. It’s unfortunate they have One Miserable Airport.
Kaled — Google review
I read a mini horror stories about how many lines you would have to go through until you could get in and out of the country and I did not find that at all. It was the exact opposite. We literally came in on a Tuesday and from start to finish Leaving Aruba to come back to the states. It only took us 45 minutes. The staff is excellent and very helpful. My only bit of advice would be that you need to download the MPC app. If you do not have global entry once you download the MPC app from your hotel, fill in all the information and save it. Once you get to the airport, log onto their Wi-Fi and then take your photographs. Once you get to the last line for customs, you are no longer allowed to take photos and you will have to stand in a much longer line. As long as you have global entry or the MPC app, you should have no issues at all. It is a pretty small airport And we did pay to sit in the lounge. It was a bit pricey, and there was not a lot of food options for the price, but it did have nice leather chairs and a clean restroom. It was honestly one of the best airport experiences that I’ve had out of country and I would definitely recommend going to Aruba and enjoying the atmosphere and the lovely people that are there.

The wait to leave this airport is ridiculous: hundreds, maybe even thousands of passengers being let through several security checkpoints staffed by only one or two people. I showed up early enough to not worry I would miss my flight, but the inefficiency is terrible. For an island built on tourism, the airport should be staffed adequately to keep foot traffic moving. A three-hour wait to get in should not be normal. Also, waited 25 minutes for a global entry interview with no one coming out of the office: no previous interviewee leaving, no officer acknowledging or updating me. This airport is severely understaffed.

5 star! Great staff, food and atmosphere:). Thank you to Juana, Melissa, Enrique and Edwin the Chef for recreating an allergy free vegan dish just for me! Many thanks!

Nicely located restaurant with water front seating. Dinner was ok. Would not recommend. Overall all was just mediocre. For the same budget you are better if at Wilhelmina. 3 stars as they were very thoughtful to address the Birthday of my partner.

This was one of the best restruant on the island. We had the chef surprise. I recommend having it. The pic below was our surprise

What a place! Unmistakably one of the top choices on the island to visit. The service is friendly and food is excellent not to mention the atmosphere making the whole experience very memorable.

Great food and atmosphere. Pro tip: Call a Taxi with your dessert order so you don't have to wait as long for a ride back to your hotel.

Try the scallops with orange vanilla sauce. Sea bass is delicious too. Service and food are top notch. Beautiful view of sunset on the water.

We arrived in time for a magnificent sunset at this lovely restaurant. The restaurant was elegant, but the same time very comfortable. The staff was very attentive.

Nestled in the vibrant Renaissance Resort & Casino Marketplace, the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar is a lively spot that sets the perfect tone for your evening. With its colorful ambiance and stunning beach views, this rustic outdoor bar invites you to unwind with a refreshing cocktail in hand. The atmosphere buzzes with energy as live entertainment fills the air, making it an ideal place to kick back and enjoy some bar bites alongside great drink specials throughout the week.
My husband and I arrived in arub on oct 4th. Our room wasn't ready to check into. So we found Angelo at the 5 o'clock somewhere bar. He was so friendly and accommodating. Their was another work . Didn't catch her name.all she did was talk to one couple while the bar area filled up. She definitely didn't pull her weight. Angelo tho addressed everyone and made sure his guest were happy. He is definitely an asset to this place. The other girl. Brings nothing to the business.

Literally in the center of Marketplace, 5 O'clock bar is there. You can't missed it. Tables are around the bar, Nice small menu, different atmosphere of what we are used to! The Chicken ceasar salad was very good, and the 5 O'clock burger too. Very good price, loved it.

Restaurant was in the middle of the Marketplace. If you are a Jimmy Buffett fan, this is the perfect place. Very busy place which made it difficult for wait staff to recognize that we were there. Food was good.

I was there with my wife and 2 kids, I left after 20 maybe 30 mins of playing with my wife and 2 yrs old daughter , I was told twice by 1 female heavy set worker with a low haircut to lower my 2 yr old daughter because she was yelling because she was having fun, inside the sports bar, which the people next to us was yelling as well when they did good and she never said anything to them which were all adults, idk if she has kids which i doubt it but when kids have fun they yell smh ill never come back to this establishment again and I come to aruba all the time, this is my 1st and last time here I wouldn't recommend this spot for family with kids .. I paid for the full hr of playing and my drinks and left after she told me to lower my child

Nothing special. Just a bar with food. The bartenders were all cool. The food was good.

It’s 5o’clock somewhere and it’s Christmas somewhere too. Seriously. I am shocked at the amount of Christmas music being played in February by this bar. Lovely place located in the heart of seaport, they have reasonably good prices, and an interesting menu! I was especially impressed that beyond the regular bar food they also had some Arubian classics like Keshi Yena and Funchi Hasa and even Pastechis in the kids menu. Our waitress was an absolute doll and super patient with our large part of people. The food arrive a bit chaotically but luckily they had a system in place to make it easier to finish paying for the rest of us here. There is a majorly large LED screen that is quite bothersome if you’re sitting across from it as it’s overwhelmingly bright to the point where some of us started to get a headache from it.

This was the first meal that we had our first day here. And the burger was delicious 😋, I'm not a fry person, but those were good too, as well as my mango spirit (it was delicious with a kick)! King Lemonade didn't care too much for the lemonade, but he drank it. 🤭🤭 The location wasn't very crowded and when we placed our order we didn't have to wait very long for our food. The music was good and the atmosphere was perfect. Everyone was having a fun time. Not to mention it was going into their happy hour so it was really ideal for all the people there. If you want a quick bite and some fun stop by and take in some of the good vibes. @according2teau 👽🦄
