Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Palenque, Boutique Hotel Quinta Chanabnal offers sleek suites with a modern Mayan aesthetic, creating a unique and romantic ambiance. The hotel boasts tropical gardens, waterfalls, and even wild monkeys on the premises. Guests can enjoy amenities such as two outdoor swimming pools, a sauna, an on-site restaurant, and spa services including massages and body treatments.
This hotel was absolutely amazing!!! The hotel experience started before we even arrived. The hotel arranged all of our transport and excursions as well. On days when we would have a long day on the road with our excursion, they would pack lunches for us. I think what really sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail and service. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and attentive (Misael and Roberniel were so good to us, and so very helpful!). The food at the restaurant is also amazing, we ended up eating at the hotel most evenings. Also, I highly recommend the piña coladas and micheladas at the hotel, they were the best I have had! Definitely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in!

Fantastic hotel. The staff was friendly, kind and very helpful. The food was outstanding. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Located next to an animal sanctuary which is a must visit. Hear the howling monkeys in the morning (which can be seen on the property). And a short taxi to the archaeological site which is amazing.
John H — Google review
The pictures don’t do it justice - the owners put a painstaking amount of effort into every detail, both in the rooms and common areas. The food was delicious and prepared with lots of love and care - definitely your best dining choice in the area ! The pool area was also very nice to unwind at the end of the day (however it would not be safe for kids). By far the best hotel in Palenque.

The beauty of the whole place is just stunning. Beautifully decorated with almost effortless taste. Staff is uber friendly and accommodating. Our room was spotless, extremely comfortable, and again, tastefully decorated. The choice of fan or air conditioning...(or both! ) in the same room: very much appreciated. We almost didn't want to go anywhere cause the pools were such a highlight. Attention to detail separates this place from many other in the region, it's like they just aim to pamper you in so many ways. Staying here was pure bliss and we recommend it to anybody who enjoys comfort and authentic Mexican hospitality. We couldn't be more thankful for having had the chance to stay at this dreamy place. Don't hesitate, you won't regret it.

A magical experience. The room, the food, the natural pool, the scenery, and the qualified and helpful staff made this one of my most enjoyable hotel experiences in recent memory. The inn, nestled in the tropical forest hills, is the perfect spot for day trips in Chiapas. Don't miss Yaxchilan and the mole at Dona Mary's Restaurant on the frontier.
Michael H — Google review
Highly recommend booking this incredible hotel with only 8 rooms while in Palenque. The staff is lovey, the rooms are big and very comfortable. The plus is the pool area, built in the jungle and so peaceful, really plan to spend some time relaxing there. We saw a beautiful parrot while swimming and some spider monkeys in the trees in the evening.
Gaelle F — Google review
We originally choose the Quinta Chanabnal due to its proximity (10 min drive) to the Palenque archeological site. We knew it was a bit more luxurious but the service we received beat our expectations. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, they helped us carry our suitcases to our room on the 1st floor of our building. Restaurant staff also very attentive and polite so again great work from the team. Our room (junior suite, the 'basic' option at the Quinta) was huge with a big comfy bed, silent airco, ceiling fans, a small seating area and a small outside seating area. Furniture all in lacquered hardwood which gave it a colonial grandeur. The room fridge has beers, water and sodas which can be taken at no extra charge and get resupplied every day. Restaurant is very reasonably priced for what you get, lots of local & international options and all excellent quality. Pool area is 5 min walk from the main building between the jungle trees and overlooking the hotel's private laguna. In the evening the pool lighting adds a nice special touch. I also spotted a few red macaws and howler monkeys at the laguna as the sun was rising. All in all great experience, highly recommend for a visit to Palenque. It's not cheap but more than worth the price.
Yves S — Google review
I really liked everything with this hotel! The great friendly service (the staff speaks English), we were welcomed with a wonderful room upgrade. The room itself was very comfortable. I liked the bath products (l'occitane, as well as artisanal soap) and the complimentary drinks in the fridge. We had a great swim in the pool at dusk with a cocktail and will never forget the memory. Dinner was delicious. A howler monkey also hanging out on the tree looking into the room was a really fun experience. I sincerely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Hotel Chablis Palenque is a charming hotel located in the eco-tourism area of 'La Ca?ada' in Chiapas, Mexico. Just a short drive from the Archeological Zone of Palenque, this bright hotel offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and cable TV. The central courtyard features a refreshing outdoor pool and a relaxing hot tub surrounded by lush greenery.
My one regret is that I did not stay longer. I had two nights in this beautiful location and wanted more! The property is beautiful, staff are welcoming, rooms are clean, good food in the restaurant, location is perfect.
Lori G — Google review
Great setting and location. Big room, good beds and pillows, but noisy from the bars around until almost midnight. Good bathroom, but a persistent sewage smell seeps sometimes in the room. Receptionist on the sour side, not very outgoing by default, we did not ask for any favors. Internet out, we know it can happen sometimes but no info or apology from reception. Great room service. .
Radu O — Google review
It's an ok hotel but it lost points for the phone that was constantly ringing all night and it being so loud it sounded like it was outside our room so it woke us up every 20min. Also really inconvenient being on the second floor with bags and no lift and no one to help carry the bags up. The windows facing into the hallway were awkward. Drinks were ok but expensive which is probably to be expected in that area. Wifi was good but the breakfast was lacking in range and quality.
Michael P — Google review
We went there pretty late and left early the next day but the rooms were clean and the breakfast was fine. Employees were helpful and friendly. Also the pool looks cool.
Berke A — Google review
Arrived after an 10 hour bus journey to be told they did not have a reservation for us despite us having a booking confirmation. Front desk staff was completely useless, looking worried and not actually saying anything, pretending to look for our reservation before I finally asked them if they were sold out or not. She confirmed yes. Stop wasting our time and be honest about whether or not you can accommodate us so we can go find somewhere that does. They were not sorry and they were not helpful. We also emailed them the day before and they did not respond, yet another missed chance to be up front about our booking. Extremely disappointed.
Heather S — Google review
The hotel is located in a beautiful street with tall trees that give that jungle feel. In the middle a swimming pool and around it the hotel rooms. Our room overlooked the parking lot, which is hidden behind a large gate (I think they should inform customers better about this parking option beforehand). There is room for about 10 cars, so not enough if everyone comes by car. The air conditioning is centrally controlled but was set up correctly for us. We also had a small balcony (but during the day with the sun on it, it was too hot). Room spacious enough and clean. Good Wi-Fi. Tasty guacamole and poolside service. In-room safe and plenty of power outlets. When we had problems with the toilet, a technical man came very quickly to solve it, as well as when we had a lizard in the room, great! Good hot shower. At the pool it sometimes gets very busy with children. I had the impression that these were not all hotel guests, but friends of staff and restaurant guests who allowed themselves a spot at the pool after dinner. On New Year's Eve, the music was extremely loud until 12:45 am (while the rest of the city was a dead end). Buffet breakfast poor and expensive (MEX 200 pp) 10 times faster than the opinion restaurant further down the street. No elevator. Swimming pool steps are a drama; many adults had trouble getting out, one man even had to be helped out by others. The desk is not suitable to work/sit behind it, since the seat of the chair and the drawer underneath the desk only leave a few centimetres in between, so no room for your legs.
Elisa H — Google review
Only just arrived at Hotel Chablis and don’t need more time to know this is my type of hotel. The entrance is pleasant and convenient off the road. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. The pool has two levels and is in a courtyard surrounded by trees with the sound of birds overhead. The pool and sun lounge area is very clean and comfortable. The rooms is very clean. The bedding good quality, and the bed firm but comfortable. Shower is superb with lots of hot water and a great flow and spray. Overall I can’t wait to stay another night here and I’m sure my husband and I will return. We could spend a week here without having much else to do!
Michaela W — Google review
Very lively yet safe. Have secured storage by reception and also provide safe in rooms. Swimming pool is clean and good music choice during non-sleeping hours. Good location and very friendly staff. A bit pricey by comparison to other hotels or hostels in town but we are only taking about £30 a night after all.

Hotel Águila Real offers a unique home-stay experience rather than the typical hotel vibe, making it an inviting choice for travelers seeking comfort and warmth. Nestled in a charming old mansion, this budget-friendly gem is conveniently located just a short drive from the stunning Archaeological site of Palenque. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with air conditioning and private bathrooms featuring hot water and complimentary toiletries to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
A wonderful hotel in the heart of Palenque. The room was spacious and comfortable with good air conditioning. The bathroom was a little basic, but worked quite well. The location is not as convenient for the ruins as other places - it's a 5-10 minute walk to the roundabout where colectivos to the ruins pick up, but is central for evening dinner options. The included breakfast is good.
Brian K — Google review
This one gave me mixed feelings. The service and staff were very nice, but the ants in the bathrooms were not, unprovided free drinking water was not cool and the barely running shower was annoying. It did the job, but…. Breakfast 👌 oh yeah, some locals like to party very loudly until 2.30am
Povilas K — Google review
Absolutely decent place to stay. Extremely helpful staff helped us with any problems, served great breakfasts and was always ready to answer questions. Rooms are spacious, cosy and clean. Private parking was also an advantage.

Good hotel, in the center. Great for exploring Palenque ruins. Room is large and has airco. They already gave our room at 8 in the morning as we arrived early with the night bus

We only stayed one night . I was impressed with on how clean everything was. The beds are VERY comfortable, just perfect! The staff were helpful. Only a few blocks from the main plaza.

The hotel Aguila Real is a good spot to stay in Palenque. Pros: • Room: Clean! Looked fresh. Hot water on demand. • Staff: Helpful • Restaurant: on site • Location: Excellent • Room: Air Conditioned that worked Cons: • WiFi: sometimes it worked, sometimes it dint.

Beautiful interior design, free parking, friendly and helpful staff, within walking distance from town's main strip for good food and other needs, competitive prices, clean rooms, warm showers, large beds, lovely common areas accessible to all guests.

The rooms are big and clean. However, the WiFi is horrible and don't believe a word the receptionist is saying. It's not that she is lying but she doesn't know better.

Mexican restaurant
Restaurante Maya Cañada is located in the heart of Palenque, a city steeped in the history of the ancient Maya civilization. The restaurant specializes in Mexican and Latin cuisines, offering a variety of options including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. It has garnered a strong reputation among tourists for its exceptional food quality and inviting atmosphere. Visitors can also enjoy live music while dining amidst the lush jungle surroundings.
We had an amazing two meals here (breakfast and dinner - it was that good!! However it is expensive just FYI (about what we’d pay for dinner in London!!). Breakfast was reasonable and they’re open early so we went before our tour. For dinner we had a cocktail each and a main dish each and it was over 2000peso. However it was yummy and the service is great. Try the guanabana margarita. The fish was delicious and you can Choose 2 sides with it. The rabbit was also really nice! Highly recommend just be wary of the $$ (fish is especially expensive)
Libby W — Google review
This has been one of the best restaurants for authentic Mexican food that I have tried. You will not be disappointed they have very unique plates. Including meats like rabbits, deer, and crocodile.
Enrique Z — Google review
A great restaurant with delicious dishes and excellent service. However, the prices are on the higher side, and the portion sizes are smaller compared to other places in Mexico. While they do accept card payments, my transaction didn’t go through, so I had to pay in cash.

Good restaurant serving local dishes from Chiapas 17.509667° -91.988318° This top TripAdvisor restaurant is part of Hotel Sevilla Palenque and offers a pleasant and authentic dining experience in a traditional setting with lush surroundings, enhanced by Cuban live music. In December 2024, as Palenque is cattle raising area with good beef, we ordered oven-baked cochito of slow oven-cooked pork marinated in adobo broth (or sauce) consisting of paprika, oregano, salt, garlic and vinegar and wrapped in banana leaves in December 2024 (Mex$345). The cochito was delicious, well prepared and representative of local cuisine. Service was attentiveness and professional. Restaurante Maya Cañada offers a charming ambiance, tasty local dishes and live entertainment. Highly recommended.

Just happened to drive past on the way to an atm. Liked the look of it. We had one of the best meals in our 5 months in Mexico. The waiter was attentive and made some excellent recommendations. My husband had chicken chaya & absolutely loved it ❤️ I had one of the fish specials with courgette & guacamole, it was excellent. Great selection of puddings. Good cocktails too. Highly recommended
Nikki J — Google review
This restaurant is great and is steeped in local history having been in operation since 1958. All of the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxing and authentic. There was a guitar player and singer at the restaurant who played Spanish language songs from around the world, explaining their history before he played them. Crocodile was on the menu and it was tasty. Be advised that if you order it, one bit might be chewy.. this is not the fault of the kitchen but unfortunately can sometimes just happen with the wrong part of the crocodile. Salads and soups were wonderful as well. The service was friendly and we left feeling satisfied and happy with everything - something which has not been a recurring theme on our travels in Mexico!
とりやまゆうじ — Google review
The BEST restaurant in Palenque!! The food was authentic to the Chiapas region. I tried many new things like chapay (vegetable that looks and tastes like vegan mince), Chaya (bitter spinach), plantains (banana but sweeter and fried), and crocodile. The food was absolutely delicious so we came here twice. There are lots of choices on the menu and plenty of vegetarian options too. The portions were good and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The seating is outdoor but covered by a roof. The atmosphere is great and they had live music. Service is quick. For dessert we had stewed pumpkin in molasses and cinnamon. We also tried the local delicacy of pan de elote ( sweetcorn cake) which was amazing and I recommend you try it! I would love to come back here

Great steak done to perfection as ordered. Tender vegetables and baked potato were great. My partner order pork, salad and vegetables. Said it was also perfect with spices. Great service, waiter spoke a little English 👍😁. It was very hot out and they turned the fan by the table on which was a great plus. Many restaurants don't have fans. Restraunt was not busy. reasonably priced. Good quality. Cleanliness-perfect Negative remarks. Can't find one.

This small, deep-orange-colored cafe is popular for its large and tasty breakfasts. It also has a good range of organic Chiapan coffee - just what you need to start the day off right. The cafe is calm and comfortable with gorgeous music playing in the background. Make sure to try the delicious prato do dia!
Beautiful location on the corner. Elegant decor and relaxing music added to an entirely enjoyable breakfast experience. The service was with a smile and explanations of the many delicious options. Coffee was rich and strong. Our meals came quickly, were beautiful and tasty. Definite visit when in Palenque.

BE VERY PRECISE WHEN YOU ORDER AT THIS CAFE !!! I'm vegan + Medical Medium + gluten-free and mostly fat-free and corn-free. My way of eating can be hard to maintain while traveling. In the afternoon my husband and I stopped at Café De Yara for a refreshment, and we had 2 fresh juices and a plate of fresh fruit. We looked at the menu and decided to bring the whole family for dinner the same night. For dinner I ordered a veggie soup and a salad and removed chicken, cheese and asked for dressing on the side. I told the waiter that I don't eat meat, milk, cream, cheese and gluten. The waiter showed that she understood. My salad was tossed in yoghurt and serves with gluten crackers, and my veggie soup was on chicken broth. I couldn't eat any of it 😭 When I told the waiter about the mistake, she implied that it was my mistake, I had not said "without yogurt", and she made no attempt to correct the mistake. BE VERY PRECISE WHEN YOU ORDER AT THIS CAFE !!!

We went out for coffee and told them loud and clear: “No regular milk for my wife— lactose-free only, por favor!” My wife is Venazuelan and speaks fluent Spanish. They nodded like they got it… and then served her a full-blown dairy bomb anyway. So now we’re riding the lactose rollercoaster, courtesy of Café Whoopsie.

The food is very poor, this is how the bacon and fried eggs were served. 200 pesos for the breakfast plate and a coffee. The service is also extremely slow.

Worst breakfast in 5 weeks in Mexico. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but the waiter was unable to serve me anything vegetarian. I asked several times, explained and in the end got an indefinable tomato mash with bean puree and eggs. There were strips of ham on top. These were then taken down again. So it could be better, as Mexican cuisine offers many traditional vegetarian options.

If you're on the hunt for authentic Mexican cuisine without breaking the bank, look no further than Taquería Tropitacos. Nestled conveniently along Boulevard Juarez, this gem offers a delightful array of tacos and refreshing beverages like licuados and aguas frescas. While the ambiance may be simple, the flavors are anything but! Diners rave about their Tacos al Pastor and Quesadillas, often returning multiple times during their stay in Palenque.
Great value, good quality, really big portions. Fully recommend a visit here. Decent value drinks too, the agua fresca was lovely and generous. Got the steak tacos, top notch. Also, get the guacamole.... It's unreal and cheap.

Hotel Maya Tulipanes Palenque is a laid-back lodging located in the heart of Palenque, offering easy access to attractions like El Panchan and Museo Del Textil. The hotel features an outdoor pool, sundeck, karaoke bar, and a breezy restaurant called BAMBU. Guests can also enjoy complimentary wireless internet access and tour/ticket assistance.
Stayed in several spots around Palenque which included some nice places by the ruins but this spot took the cake. Wonderful clean rooms, gorgeous pool, and howler monkeys surprisingly came right outside our room for awesome views as they sounded off. The staff was great. 1 day turned into 4 for us. I read reviews and appreciate authentic ones like this. If u stay here you won't be disappointed. Cheers. The restaurant has great food too with many other options right outside and a grocery store 1/2 mile away. Turn right when going out and at the main street turn right again. Cheers.

Mixed feelings, it is a 4 star hotel, maybe my expectations were too high. Lets start with the positives, there are plenty: (room 129) Friendly staff Good matras Firm pillows Good stable internet Spacious rooms Mini fridge coffee maker, with complimentary coffee Complimentary water Thick soft towels Secure parking Lots of outside space to enjoy Extra blankets Ironing board Hair dryer And then the cons, where my expectations and the 4 stars did not align: The window cannot be locked, it is easy access from the parking lot. just slide it open! The shower looks a bit rundown and shabby, repairs in the ceiling that looks like it needs repair again. mold here and there. No remote control for the very noisy aircon, it sounds like a blaster and you have to get up to adjust it or switch it off, you have very little setting's. Rooms are humid, even the toilet paper feels humid, okay we had rain, but when everything in the room (including your clothes) feels a bit damp it makes your stay unpleasant This humidity comes with a musty odor in the bathroom Luke warm water, not hot No water pressure, it is doable, but not powerful The wall socket in between the beds almost falls out, you have to push against it to get your plug out safe. Blinding curtains do not close off the headlights from the cars, they leave edges, my room is ground floor overlooking the parking. Which comes eith its own set of noise. Noisy, lots of furniture moving around, it is all metal furniture, i can hear my next door television and when upstairs flush the toilet it sounds like it will end up in my bed. Noise from the parking lot and pool area and the gazebo next to it. After the rain there were so much bugs in the room especially around the sink area Sink is in the bedroom not in the bathroom. Behind the matras and the wall is a gap where your pillow disappears in, that gap for my bed was dirty with hairs and dust. I pushed the matras up to ignore it. Switches are not too clean either. ____ But......overall, despite all this, the hotel is very pleasant to the eye, with a good restaurant and a good atmosphere. I had a pleasant stay. Its just the four stars that set me on the wrong foot i guess.

This hotel was pretty great. It has a great layout and pool. The restaurant was great for breakfast, dinner was okay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Poolside waiter was perfect in his timing. The room was nice, but the bathroom/ shower is really outdated. The showerhead only sprayed one side and the floor and wall were not to great. To open the gate for parking you have to honk, which feels a bit simple, but it works well enough. The street the hotel was in is very nice. A lot of nice restaurants. Very nice vibe.
Remi H — Google review
Only leave reviews when we have an especially good or bad experience and the experience here was very good - we are grateful for the hotel allowing us to check in at 6am after a long night bus at no extra cost. It made a huge difference to our stay. The pool is very nice l, the hotel is clean and well located.

Staff was amazing. Had an issue with checking in due to it being my fault and they helped me out with it with no issues at all. The rooms were clean. Some rooms even had a bidet. But for the location and where it was it was an excellent stay. Would recommend it for sure. Pool looked fun and clean. Overall great experience.

Nestled along the scenic banks of the Chacamax River, Hotel Nututun Palenque offers a delightful escape for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure. This charming hotel features an inviting outdoor pool, perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring nearby attractions like the ancient Mayan ruins just 11 km away. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and stay connected with free Wi-Fi throughout their visit. The air-conditioned rooms provide serene garden views, creating a peaceful atmosphere amidst the lush rainforest surroundings.
I really loved my stay at Nututun Palenque. I made my reservation on my smart phone in advance, so check in was easy. The staff was very welcoming, polite, and professional. My room was really nice and very affordable. Nice linen and comfortable bed. TV and AC that worked. In room safe. Cozy and quiet. Stepping out the door of my room I was next to the beautiful pool and a bar. The grounds are beautiful, very well maintained. There are several different buildings with different rental options depending on your needs. They also host group gatherings such as banquets t wedding receptions. The restaurant was remarkable. Outstanding wait staff beautiful atmosphere above the river and great Mexican food. I really enjoyed my meal. I would definitely recommend it.

My review is strictly on the RV Park, not the hotel part... Basically they have a dozen or so spaces for small to mid RVs around their gravel parking areas. Only one water faucet and one dump, often blocked by staff and/or hotel guest parking. VERY unreliable WiFi. Ok restaurant, nice swimming pool.

Bad hotel and restaurant service ... Horrible experience. If you have the chance to come, don't do it...
Brandon M — Google review
Location is just south of Palenque, next to a busy road. Taxi from ADO will cost you around 60 pesos, but you can also take many of the colectivos that pass the bus station for 10-20 pesos. We stayed in one of the older rooms. The room decoration was minimal and everything looked old, but still sufficient for our needs. Swimming options are good, with a pool and the river. Note that after (heavy) rainfall the water level will rise quite a bit and swimming in the river won’t be possible. The restaurant offers a good selection, with vegetarian options. It’s nice that you can see many animals on the resort, such as howler monkeys, vultures and agoutis. A real jungle experience! Book directly via their website for the cheapest option.

Incredible!! The hotel is located at the edge of the jungle. Twice a day you can hear and see howling monkeys in the tree tops. There is a Beautiful river and falls just below the restaurant. Great for swimming or just to enjoy the view. The restaurant Don Manuel is excellent and reasonably priced. We booked 2 nights and ended up staying 3 nights. We visited the archeological sights, breath taking! Must see if you have the opportunity.

Great stay, the lagoon for swimming is beautiful and refreshing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant has top notch service and a breakfast buffet with a great variety of foods.
George W — Google review
Our expectations were big, but actually the infrastructure and food was quite regularly. It took us some 45min. to cope with some 30-50 Mosquitos in our Room. An advice for the owner: invest in modern infrastructure and in case of the restaurant: more quality than quantity. Staff looks happy and is friendly.

2 Stars for a short and fresh stop by, not more. The water looks nice as first. I woudn't come around for a second time. They charging 80 Pesos (3,10€) for this private "Hotelbeach". For that experience at Nututun and in my opinion, it is not really worth it. 🤷‍♂️ Many greetings, Max

The location is convenient, being close to the ADO bus station and tour offices. Guests appreciate the proximity to restaurants, bars, and tourist areas while feeling safe.
I love this place. We were a group of 32 people and everyone was so please with the customer service. The service was awesome and staff was super friendly. They provided whatever we needed from extra towels, coffee at 6:00 am.

Wifi doesn't work anywhere (the parental control active) except for whatsapp and YouTube. In order to reserve bus and hotel I had to go to bar few times a day!!! TV not usable cause of audio malfunction. AC worked once in two days. Toilets with open window on the corridors. Bibles in every corner of the hotel ! No water, coffe or food.

This is as good as it gets in terms of value for money. Great genuine hotel experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice interior decorations with lots of plants. Great, clean, spacious rooms with comfy beds. The best value in Palenque for sure. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Amazing staff, AMAZING! Went there with our two dogs, it was really easy to stay with them! We also remotely worked from there. They saw we were working and setup a nice table and office chairs for us. I feel like we were part of the family. Wifi was super, and we had a nice place in the shade to work without any problems on our laptops. The pool was our break area. The spot is perfect. At the entrance of the most beautiful street, with restaurants and bars, the tourist area, we felt safe. Walk 15 sec and you'll find yourself are in the "real" city. Cheap and delicious restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy, hospitals, Oxxo etc, all within 5 minutes by foot. We were supposed to stay one week, but stayed two. Definitely, we will go back!

Cool little hotel. Architecturally interesting, giving every room a corner view through big windows. Very clean. Pool. Pleasant outdoor seating. Unfortunately no food services, perhaps due to Covid. Not even coffee. No kitchen. No refrigerator.
Stephen M — Google review
Hotel Cañada Internacional is in the perfect location, and includes free parking at an excellent price. This hotel suited my needs, and it was very convenient to roll up, park right outside reception, get in the room, and then walk straight out into the main street of bars and restaurant nightlife. It can't be faulted for that. It's not a salubrious stay, but it does provide most things, including a pool. The staff were mostly helpful, and looked after my bags when I checked out and wanted to go roaming nearby before leaving Palenque. Although the staff were somewhat helpful, they didn't seem that friendly. The WiFi was problematic, and it took several trips to reception to get a code that worked. It was one those infuriating scenarios where it connects...but disconnects, and when it seems to stay, there isn't Internet access. The guy on reception was quite unbothered by the fact I couldn't get Internet, and it did take some pestering. Not what you really want when you only have a few hours to figure a good place to try for the evening drinks/eats. The place felt uncared for and a bit run down, but that's OK for a traveller like me. The aircon worked well, so that was big plus as it was very hot when I was there. I wasn't too sold on the 3 cockroaches I had to dispatch down the loo, but other wise the place was acceptably clean. I think I expected cockroaches in many more of the multitude of places I stayed in Mexico because of the heat and humidity, but this was the only accommodation that I saw any - it's not as big a deal as it sounds. I did appreciate the bonus free coffee in reception in the morning. I can recommend this place overall because it did exactly what I needed, and as I said the location was great, it just wasn't delivered in much style! The WiFi was a constant faff. Didn't want to share my room with 3 cockroaches. Staff could have exuded and bit more sparkly friendliness.

Right across the street from the ADO and the tour office. (would highly recommend taking the tour to Roberto Barrios!) Tv and AC in the room. Pool was great! Staff was very friendly :) very close to lots of great restaurants. Also not far from the actual town of palenque, which is fun to wander into. Only complaint would be the WiFi only worked in the lobby/pool area. Other than that, everything was perfect!

This hotel is perfect for those who require quick access to the ADO bus station, as it is directly across the road.. so getting to your night bus is safe and easy! They offer big, clean rooms and will provide you with a room at a discounted price if you only need it for a few hours. Walking distance to main part of Palenque, however there is also a restaurant onsite

Very easy hotel with an okay pool area and some pet iguanas that wander around. The staff is very friendly. For the price this is fine. It didn't amaze us but also it could have been worse. When we arrived the first day early and left on the last day late we could have our luggage stored at the hotel. This was perfect.

I stayed two night in this hotel. I had stayed here before and same thing. Reception horrible. Service horrible, not very friendly., The restaurant horrible, . Not friendly. I got charged for a towel that was “dirty”. First it was raining and water was going inside my room and I asked for more towels to dry inside my room. Finally they switch me to another room. I am upset ‘cause I was not onlymore thank usual but also for towels. Next time i eill book the hotel in front of it call Hotel Cañada Internacional. Not child friendly No menu for kids

If you are catching Tren Maya, or doing a bus tour etc, this is the hotel to stay. As the ADO bus station is across the street. Which has an affordable shuttle ride to the station. The hotel is well situated. And is also at the top of a very trendy street full of chic restaurants. The hotel has friendly staff. Rooms are simple but well kept and also there is a nice pool area. It serves food and alcohol. There is parking at the premises. Wifi works on off.

This place is like a budget beach hotel, but without the beach. Nice pool area with trees for shade and small tables with their own shade. A group of iguanas live here who I found to be very amusing. Location is excellent, across the road from the bus station. Short taxi ride to the ruins. Movistar cell signal was weak at best. Hotel wi-fi is unreliable and very slow when it does work. Some road noise but it didn't bother me.
Derek M — Google review
Perfectly located for convenience to bus station, charming restaurant alley, and collectivo to the ruins and ecopark. There was some street noise, but not bad. We were here on New Years Eve and Day. Personnel were very gracious, even allowing us to store our luggage here after we checked out and sit comfortably in the lobby area waiting for our overnight bus to Chetumal. A perk was watching the Rose Bowl on Mexican ESPN in our room, then wandering down the street for a handmade fire oven pizza. Great visit.

Nestled in the heart of a lush tropical jungle, Hotel Cabañas Safari offers a serene escape with its charming cabins, some featuring inviting balconies. Just 8 km from the renowned Archaeological zone of Palenque and conveniently located 1 km from the town center, this hotel is perfect for those looking to explore while enjoying nature. Guests can unwind by the outdoor pool or indulge in a traditional Temazcal steam bath experience.
This hotel is slightly outside of town but feels like it’s in the jungle. It’s nice being surrounded by nature and very easy to get into town - a 20mins walk or you can get a taxi. Lots of agouti around the hotel which were great to see up close! It was nice to have a pool and the cabañas were very nice and clean with ensuite. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was helpful to have if you didn’t want to leave - the food was ok - breakfast was the best meal.
Holly — Google review
The exterior is very off-putting. There are tarpaulins over the roofs of some of the cabanas. It has the look of a place needing time and money spending on it. Once inside our - twin - room (not one with a tarpaulin) we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was clean with a large en-suite. The air conditioning was really efficient but noisy - had to turn it off at night. There was a little terrace with a table and chairs outside. The hotel is very quiet - one night the howler monkeys started their eerie calling (very bizarre!) but not for long. Wifi is OK. There is a pool, didn't have time to use it. Staff are friendly and helpful. We used the hotel as a base for sight-seeing, to Agua azul and to the archeological site nearby. There are good places to eat in Palenque.
Nikki J — Google review
It's awful. Watch out for thieves!!! The property doesn't look bad, it's getting a little older but it's OK. They don't accept cards so you are forced to carry cash for the room and restaurant. The mein problem is, that it's not safe, under any circumstances live any money at the rooms! We went out to eat in the evening and when we came back all my money was stolen from the room. The guy at the reception in the evening was nice, promised to check out the cameras and even reimburse us for one night of stay (not nearly as much as was stolen). In the morning however the said they didn't find enything and didn't want to keep their promise for the reimbursement. They just didn't care. I wish I had followed the advice here, as its apparently not the first time it happend. Stay away! I suspect thet the staff is on it, as the lock wasn't broken, so someone probably had a key. No wonder they didn't hept us and didn't find anything suspicious. Do not stay here!
Malgorzata S — Google review
We only had a short stopover here for one night. The location of the hotel is good. With the collectivo you can get to the ruins quickly and cheaply. On foot you are also quickly in the city center. Around the hotel you can observe many animals. For example, we saw parrots. The staff was very friendly and customer oriented. Although we were already there at 8am, the staff chose a room for us that was already clean and we were allowed to check in directly. The room and bathroom was very large and very clean. The towels and sheets were very fresh. The furniture was a bit dated but well kept. We were a little disappointed with the pool area as it was rather untidy and unkempt. This has a lot of unused potential.
Chris T — Google review
It was a pleasant stay. The room was very good. The pool was great, but could have been a little bit cleaner. The restaurant is fine. The pizza was good. The Caesar salad however was a little sad, with just a few leafs of salad. Overall a good place to stay. There is wildlife and sometimes you can hear the screaming monkeys 🐒 in the background.
Martin — Google review
The place is truly a lil' paradise inside the jungle. So relaxing, so you can reconect with nature and with yourself. The room was quite spacious and the bed really comfy. The woman at the kitchen was not in the best mood and there's not a lot of options on the menu, but it was ok. Other than that, it's beautiful
Estephanie H — Google review
We enjoyed our stay in the cabañas. Very clean and has all the necessary amenities. Showers were not ideal with lots of water entering the entire bathroom and the faucet not working properly. Nothing out of the ordinary though. Staff was very friendly. Food did the job.

Hotel Kashlan Palenque is a straightforward property with bright, simply furnished rooms and an informal pizzeria/bar. The location is great, not far from the ADO terminal and the town center. The hotel offers clean sheets, huge towels changed daily, and friendly staff. However, some guests have noted that the hotel looks better in pictures than in reality. While the rooms are spacious and comfortable with wide beds and clean bathrooms, there are some drawbacks such as slow internet and dim lighting.
This is an excellent hotel. Great location, clean sheets, huge towels - which they change every day. They make your bed everyday and mop the floors too. Aircon is super cold. Beds comfy. Only comment is that it takes about 5 mins for hot water to come thru, but it does come - eventually. Shame to waste so much water. Staff are friendly too. And there is a great roast chicken shop just outside the entry door to the left on the corner, and a supermarket to the right when you exit. Very quiet place for sleeping too. One of the best hotels we have stayed in mexico! Thanks Hotel Kashlan.

Great location, not far from ADO terminal and the town centre. In the pictures the hotel looks better than it actually is. We have a room on the 2nd floor, quite large, with a window-nonwindow and a second one to the corridor, which is always covered with a curtain. Luckily it's clean, the bed is wide and comfortable, there are white towels and the bathroom is fine. The Internet is hopeless, terribly slow, not working rather than working. The room is dark, the light is dim.
Alex P — Google review
The hotel is at a very good location, next to the main street, where the normal life runs in full speed. Doesn't feel unsafe though. Collectivo vans to the Palenque ruins runs from the corner of the adjacent street, 20m from the hotel. The hotel itself is not much unfortunately, a bit worn out. We didn't sleep well, since the fan was directly on top of the bed, had only a one powerful setting and was very loud. There was an AC which again was poorly located on the wall in front of the bed, blowing directly at us. Without then the room was hot and humid. Wifi was very poor. The girl at the reception was extremely nice and helpful, her english was great as well. She gave us useful tips, locations and offered to put things in their fridge for us. Also the pizza they make is delicious, the small one is huge!!

We were looking for one night stay in Palenque. Nothing fancy, should be near ADO Bus Terminal. The hotel was near the City center and located on a side street. It was quite at night, the room had aircon and a TV. The bathroom had good water pressure and running hot water.

Casa Janaab Palenque is a laid-back hostel located in Palenque town, close to the ADO bus terminal. It offers simple dorms and unpretentious private rooms with lockers. The reception staff are friendly and accommodating, and the hostel is known for its cleanliness and functional kitchen. Guests can enjoy the well-kept swimming pool, outdoor relaxation area, and free wifi. While some guests found the front desk service lacking, others appreciated the comfortable rooms with air conditioning.
A great pit stop for 12 hours whilst we visited the archaeological site & waterfall. Room was big, two bathrooms too! Big common outdoor area. Staff very friendly and let us shower after we had checked out before our overnight bus which was much appreciated! Also super close to the ado bus station(like 4 min walk) and in the safe side of town!

Casa Janaab Palenque offer a service where you can pay 80 pesos to use all shared facilities (showers, kitchen, jacuzzi, outdoor seating areas towel is provided) until 11pm (or 12am?). Highly recommend if you’re needing to wait for an overnight bus as your only a 6 minute walk from ADO bus station. The rooms are clean, comfortable beds with bedside lights and power adapters. Lockers are spacious and can fit a large rucksack easily. Kitchen is well equipped, drinking water available. Thanks to the friendly staff.

Casa Janaab exceeded our expectations. Located 2.5 blocks from ADO Palenque and this place offers everything one might want on a calm day: A pool, a large room with A/C and TV and a big enough kitchen. With the Casa Janaab wristband comes a 12% discount on meals at hotel on the other side of the street - very worth it. Thank you Janaab for putting us in a 3-bed dorm when we booked 6-bed

We liked how spacious our private room was. Room and bathroom were clean; AC was excellent in the room; good water pressure in the shower. Purified water was provided in the shared kitchen. WiFi worked well for us too. Location was great. <10 min walk to/from the ADO bus station. Short walk to the Chedraui supermarket and various colectivos too.
Adelle E — Google review
Great value if you need air conditioning (highs in Palenque recently reached 42°C). The dorms are air conditioned all day, and nothing else is, but there's a small pool (they call it a "jacuzzi" because it has benches and jets, but the water is cool). Despite the place's corporate polish, there are a lot of small problems with the facilities, like little things broken here and there, and a shortage of electrical outlets in some rooms. But it's totally worth it for the AC. Also very nice and helpful staff, especially the one named Ylali (?). Location is great too, just off of the fancy tourist street, five minutes' walk to the ADO station and colectivos to the ruins, and ten minutes' walk to the festive Mexican downtown or the big supermarkets.

Amazing hostal nearby bus station and collectivos to Palenque ruins. The matrimonial bed dormitory is extremely clean and comfortable. All the common area are extremely clean and well equipped. The jacuzzi is amazing. And cherry on the cake, continental breakfast is included in the price (despite not advertised) and taken and the 4 stars hotel nearby. Highly recommended.
Camille J — Google review
We travelled for 5 months through 10 countries in Asia Minor and SE Asia and this hostel is in the top 3. It's hotel quality for hostel money. Everything is cleaned constantly, fresh. The staff do whatever they can to keep the insubordinate guests from annoying everyone else and keep the common area as tidy as possible. The kitchen is absolutely fully equipped and the appliances are of good quality. They even supplied more containers, glasses etc. A rare and very pleasant addition is the paper towel dispenser. The pool is shallow, but it's clean and you can cool off and relax. In general, it's a great place to cook, eat and relax after a day of discovering the surrounding areas. The wifi never fails and it's fast!
Grzegorz K — Google review
Rooms are nice. Air-conditioned. The front desk lady seemed always in a bad mood, but she answered all our questions. Comfortable king bed. The pool was a little too hot for how humid it was. Don't bother with the Billiards table, it sits on an angle and the balls all gravitate towards one side of the table. The kitchen was reasonably clean. They have spices which is great. The laundry is expensive. They have a weird rule where you must have at least 4kg of clothes to use it (116 pesos). They stated it doesn't work if it's under 4kg, which is very hard to believe. After we used the machine, there were some black stains on the clothes that weren't there before. Probably best to go to the lady next door.

The spacious rooms feature comfortable beds, while the building boasts a charming terrace that overlooks a stunning untamed garden. Amazing place, it's like staying in someone's home but never quite bumping into the host. You can help yourself to beautiful complimentary fresh coffee in the kitchen and sit on the terrace in a large garden that is a tiny oasis of jungle in a urban space. There is a large well equipped very clean shared kitchen, the rooms are rudimentary but fine. Very clean, we planned to stay 1 night but stayed 3

Great value for money and perfect location, just a few mins from ADO terminal, supermarkets and centre. We arrived at 8am from a night bus and they managed to clean our room, as it was already vacated by that time, in an hour and we could check in by 9am. This is really appreciated for backpackers travelling through countries in night buses. Our double room was very spacious and the kitchen was clean and everything you needed (including free filtered water). Definitely recommend it!

We couldn’t have imagined a more ideal location on a dead end street. Surrounded by a jungle oasis in the midst of the city, this peaceful gem was perfect. From the extremely clean and well organized shared kitchen, to comfy beds and hot showers, it was great to call this place home for five nights. The back patio was our favourite lounging spot to watch birds and even we even got treated to some howler monkeys flexing their vocal cords one afternoon. It is conveniently located within an easy walk to the ADO bus terminal and numerous great cafes and restaurants nearby. Should we ever return to Palenque, we will ensure we stay here again.

Cute guesthouse in the La Cañada tourist district. Staff wasn’t unfriendly but also didn’t ask about our needs or if we needed help with tours. The rooms are impeccably clean, especially for being in the middle of a jungle. The AC cannot compete with the 40 degree heat and even with ac and fan on full blast we were still sweating. Nice that there was a shared kitchen to cool your water or heat up breakfast.

The terrace was such an amazing spot to chill !! Special thanks to the casa owners who kindly accommodated our early arrival and late departure and let us store our luggage and use the shower. They really went beyond in kindness. I would stay nowhere else if I came back to Palenque

Beautiful place and the best service during we have encountered during our 3 months travel. The best equipped kitchen, the cleanest kitchen and best taken care of place. The caretaker is super helpful and is going out of his way to make you feel welcome. We've actually booked the wrong dates and even though the place were full he still managed to find a place for us to sleep for two nights. Even cheaper. After that he recommended the neighboring hotel and even went and booked for us. The hotel didn't have a kitchen but we were still allowed to come and use the kitchen in Casa Hadassa. We are very grateful. Best recommendations for this place

We stayed here for several days, booking through Airbnb for Cdn$50/night. It's a block off of the main street through La Cañada and so was quiet, except for the construction across the street hammering at concrete at 7am each day. Chedraui is 600m away, bus station, restaurants and Oxxo are even closer. We had room 5, which had two double beds. Good A/C, good wifi, hot water. A kitchen is available for guest use, including fridge, stove and basic set-up (couldnt get the kettle to work, so we boiled water in a pot). Bottled drinking water is available via a dispenser. Parking is not secure, but you're near the end of a dead-end street, and we had no problems parking our motorcycles here for several days. We did enjoy seeing the family of howler monkeys that live in the area hanging from the tree just outside the Airbnb. There is a resident cat here who seemed friendly. There is a small pond with several turtles in it here too. We'd stay here again.

Hotel
Mision Palenque is a hotel situated in Rancho San Martin de Porres, formerly known as San Juanito, offering easy access to the city and its main tourist attractions. The renowned archaeological site of Palenque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located nearby. The hotel provides 156 comfortable rooms and is conveniently close to attractions such as Agua Azul, Museo Del Textil, and the non-governmental nature reserve 'Aluxes Eco Park.'
rooms the rooms are confortable but I wasn't able to find some basic stuff like shampoo or toothpaste. service The service was polite and right to the point. location the location helps you to not be in much traffic but it makes you to travel half Palenque's streets to get to the center ( of Palenque)

I strongly recommend to avoid staying here, although the staff is very friendly and tries to make up for bad state of the hotel the experience in general is quite bad. The pool was extremely dirty and the rooms look just as they did 10 years ago. It’s clear that there has not been maintenance in a very long time. The only good thing about it was the Temazcal. There are much nicer options around Palenque so please don’t fall into same trap as me thinking that this hotel maintains the old prestige that it used to have.

The stay was unpleasant and one of the staff was really rude. The room and sheets were dirty. I will not recommend this place.

Close to Palenque Archiological Park. Welcoming, cheerful, staff. Rooms run smaller than in big cities but they are clean and are comfortable and air conditions. There is a large and well maintained pool. Ding facilities both air conditioned and open air available. We'll stocked bar.

Older, but charming, hotel with restaurant and bar.

(Translated by Google) The place is good, it's a bit far away but the atmosphere is good, sometimes the pool doesn't work but in the rooms the food service doesn't take long. The restaurant and the rooms have powerful air conditioning which is appreciated with the heat in the area.

(Translated by Google) The hotel is very quiet, the facilities are like any regional hotel. Bring cash and data because their card payment terminals never work and their internet doesn't either. Mitico El Castillo is a charming bed and breakfast nestled in Palenque, just a short drive from the Central Bus Station and Aluxes EcoPark & Zoo. Its proximity to the renowned Palenque Ruins makes it an ideal base for adventurers eager to explore this historic area. The atmosphere at Mitico El Castillo is relaxed, with open dorms that invite a sense of community, though guests should be prepared for some ambient noise from local wildlife like roosters and dogs.
Loved this place, the owner is super nice and accommodating. The location little far from the city center( 3 minutes by taxi ) but I see it as a plus to not be around the noise and action of the center. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that comes to Palenque

Where to start. The room: the sheets were okay, but the pillow and shower smelled so bad... like, really bad. It seems like the staff only do surface cleaning; there were lots of bugs caught in spider webs (just above our heads), and the mirror and bath looked very suspicious... not to mention the smell. But that’s not all. If you want breakfast, you’d better be armed with patience. There’s nothing on the menu except an omelet, but you wait an hour to be served (coffee included). The staff leave plates lying around all day and don’t really care about guests. When you ask them for service or help, they seem annoyed. They’re on their phones all day long—very professional. I saved the best for last. The place is open for everyone to visit, but in this season we were the only foreigners staying. The staff invited their friends, which was fine at first; we had a beer and a swim to relax. But while I went back to my room to shower, I noticed a man filming me through the window (we were on the ground floor). I caught him, took him to the staff to explain what happened, and tried to push him to confess. I left it in the staff’s hands, expecting them to do the right thing. And guess what? They did nothing—just laughed about it. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE, AND I’M SURE THIS ISN’T THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THANK YOU FOR THIS EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER FORGET. Ooh and we asked for the laundry service but they gave us back our clothes in a seal plastic bag, guess what the clothes was wet. Luckily we check it before we have to travel by bus

I took a room, the top one for two people. You share a bathroom with multiple people. The room has air conditioning. They have a pool and music. They have hotel pets. They have limited parking. The online prices don’t match what they charge at the hotel. I was charged double the rate.
Carlos D — Google review
Roosters crowing at 3 am. A lot of noise. Not what we expected. Comfortable beds however, but no private bathroom, it was not advertised as a hostel, but it is.
Scott W — Google review
We weren't able to use the pool because there was almost no water in it and it was dirty (foam). Since this was the reason we booked it is NOT WORTH THE MONEY CONSIDERING THE LOCATION. It is an okay accomodation but without the pool and for the location way too overpriced. Location is 30 minute walk from the city centre. There is almost no colectivos going (few a day only) taxi cost 40 pesos minimum. THERE IS NO KITCHEN (anymore) contrary to what other comments are saying. We were told that there is no kitchen but a restaurant at the accomodation only to find the next day when we wanted to have dinner at 8 that the restaurant is not serving food which is a big bummer since THERE ARE NO PLACES TO EAT IN THE AREA CLOSEST IS 30 MIN WALK TO CITY CENTRE. On the weekends and in the evenings there are a lot of teenagers from the surroundings hanging out around the pool so don't expect calm and serenity. Sadly can not recommend the accomodation for this price.
Lie B — Google review
Simply put, I Would NOT Recommend. The customer service here was very crappy. And the location sucks! I booked for three nights, but ended up checking out after the first night.
Travel M — Google review
A wonderful nice relaxed place, dorms are quite open and noise of outside such has roosters and dogs might be a bit noisy, however, I slept through. Friendly helpful staff. It is far away from the city centre but taxis only charge 40 pesos. Taxi drivers get confused with the name of the hostel with Rey, so make sure you have the address, name and map ready. I really enjoyed my stay.
Michael S — Google review
Good place! You live in a castle and thats awesome. My dorm did not have a door so it is kind of in the open but that was fine. Only thing is they have kids playing in and around the hostel so it is noisy and busy
