Great little street bistro with lovely service, good food and good wine recommendations. Reservations can be made online. The beef tartar was nice, but not the best I've had. The gazpacho was fresh-tasting, the pate and baked camambert were also quite nice.

Had the menu deal for dinner, all our food was good and for a very good price. Luckily we had a reservation for early in the evening as it got full later on. There are many waiters so the service is quite fast and flowing. Would repeat given the chance

Meh. Compared to nearly every other meal in Avignon in 10 days, it didn’t hold up. The entrees were great: baked savory with salad/tuna tartar salad. Plats wish I’d skipped J’s beef was extremely tough and fatiguing to chew, his fries ok and generous salad. My pork was overcooked and lost flavor it likely possessed before overcooking, The sweet potato mash served tepid, lacked the zing sweet potatoes impart as one of my favorite foods.

So lovely. The staff were kind and friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed. Great craft beer available, too!

Lovely restaurant. We were recommended by our hotel receptionist and were not disapointed. Great price for menu of starter+main or main+dessert - perfect for couple as i got starter and my girlfriend got the dessert and we shared. Lovely was that our server recognised our lenguage and we found out he studied abroad and understood and even spoke a little of our lenguage. Great atmosphere and we recommend everyone to come here for a dinner. NOT A TOURIST TRAP!

Beautiful little restaurant. Love that they have the option to have the menu written in English. We are Australian. We had pumpkin soup and Foi gras and both had the angus steak (steak fritz). It was a rib fillet - cooked perfectly - it was a bit tough but the flavor was great and it was just what we were looking for. It came with salad and a sauce.

Very nice restaurant. Service was warm and welcoming. Asparagus salad and escargot both excellent. However, The main gambas dish was underwhelming and should only be an appetizer. I asked the waiter if he would recommend and said it was great, they always say that. Wish he would have taken the time to assist and describe more. The pork main was very good and the deserts were incredible.

recomend by our host. the dinner went well. we started with cheakpeas salad with the notes of sisho, which becoming fusion like japanese style. the escargot was nice. main onglet (hanging tender) beef steak was fantastic. the white chateauneuf du pape 👍. the selection of wines is vast.

Our meal was perfect. The hosts were gracious and lovely people. The beef was the highlight of our stay in Avignon (Papal Palace was #2). And the veal was lovely, perfectly crafted. And the wine recommendations were on point.

Beautiful and elegant restaurant off one of the main plazas in town. Stopped here for lunch after a morning tour of the city and it was the perfect place to take in the charms of Avignon. We opted for a la carte menu and enjoyed their main dishes. The gambas with a mango sauce and the pork with a bernaise sauce were exquisitely prepared, service was friendly and on point. We also enjoyed their suggestion of the day for wine by the glass. It is not inexpensive but given the food, service, and atmosphere we felt it was well worth it.

A very pleasant meal at this lovely restaurant close to the Popes’ Palace - it offers a €45 dinner set which includes starter, main and dessert which is a very good value. Ordered grilled aubergines with crushed tomatoes, Burgundy snails with butter, garlic, and herbs & calamari with caramelised cabbage as starters, followed by mains which we ordered Hake fillet with chorizo, Avignon-style beef stew, Veal hanger steak with pepper sauce & Roasted Iberian presa with garlic confit. Everything is well seasoned but the highlight is the beef stew which the beef is so soft, slightly let down by the pork which part was undercooked and a bit raw pink. The staff will attend the table with a whole list of desserts on the day for which we had a pistachio cheesecake, a lemon tart and a French Profiteroles with ice cream and hot chocolate sauce to pour over, which was our favourite of the night. No doubt our favourite restaurant in Avignon and booking in advance is recommended as the place got booked up quickly!

The service is top notch! We did not have a reservation, yet the staff ensured we were able to dine within the hour. The food was divine and affordable with a variety of fresh choices on pre fixe. Ambiance perfect - social and cheerful. Highly recommend!

Small place with delicious French cuisine. We had the best duck of our trip here! Made to perfection! Delicious! The foie gras is also very good, worth to try if you never had or if you’re a lover. Try to make a reservation first, to make sure you get a table. The kitchen of the restaurant closes at 9:30, make sure to put your orders in before that. The waiters are fast and very polite, both speak English.

Service was good, even though they forgot our wine orders it was rectified quickly. The pork main dish was delicious and was super enjoyable. The flavours of the duck also stood out! We enjoyed our escargots and frogs legs starters too and finished off with the apricot tart and praline dessert both of which were amazing. Would 100% return to eat it all again (especially the pork!)

What an amazing experience! The food menu is small and simple, and delicious. The wine menu is smaller than I thought it would be, but loaded with killer wines. Everything we got was fantastic. They also have a huge selection of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that are great. And, the people running this place could not be better. Very friendly and helpful, and happy to answer questions and make recommendations. Lastly, they have a great in-store “wine cellar” where they sell many of the bottles from their by-the-glass menu. We bought a couple bottles to take home. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Avignon. Super friendly stuff and delicious food! Their wine list wonderful and reasonably priced. I dine here twice during my stay and in both times everything was absolutely perfect! Don’t search elsewhere but home dine here :)

Very relaxed but attentive service. If i lived in Avignon I could easily call this my go-to restaurant. My first experience with escargot in France - they were wonderful. American restaurants (even fine dining venues) tend to smother them with garlic & oil. These were much more gently seasoned & full of complex flavors - truly delicious!

Really amazing little wine bar with great dishes. We were recommended a lovely white local wine. The burrata and the eggplant caviar were standout but everything was delish! Staff was very friendly and professional - highly recommend!

The waitress was extremely rude and impolite! We were 4 people, we wanted to order starters and a main dish, as well as drinks for all of us. While we were ordering se left the table without explaining a thing! She came again, claiming that our order wasn’t enough for 4 persons

The setting looks nice, just unfortunately we didn’t get any service or food. The waiter found us a table, then asked us to move to another area if we only ordered beverages, which is totally understandable. But he just left us like this for half an hour— I then found out he did not take down our order at all when we had to leave. I checked other reviews and saw people with children and those of my ethnicity got bad services as well, so that brought other concerns. Anyways, the restaurant has a good view to the plaza, but I would only recommend it to Caucasian men with no families to take care of.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLED BY RESTAURANT OWNERS BEHAVIOR! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL EXPENSE! My son (13) was very sick and needed to use a bathroom urgently. I asked a man if he could use the bathroom, which I was willing to pay for and buy a coffee as expected in Europe etc. This man, who then advised me he was the restaurant owner, a tall, older man with a dark presence started abusing me, on his ranting tangent he told me "He was here to sell food, not toilets and to go and use the public toilets" Being a tourist and only just getting to the place off a bus, not knowing where the public toilets were and under the circumstances, this was the best possible option at the time. The lack of empathy, humanity and understanding expressed by this man was absolutely disgusting! Never have I experienced this behavior from someone in my life! I gave him a piece of my mind and advised that I would be sharing my experience on all platforms, in which he did not seem phased whatsoever. From reading other peoples reviews on Google and Trip Advisor, it is clearly evident this man has no level of emotional intelligence or customer service expertise. I can't comment on the food, however the lack of people in his restaurant in a highly populated tourist area speaks for itself. Spend your money at a restaurant, where you are welcomed and treated with kindness and respect.

Food is ok. Service is nothing special but staff and mostly the chef are very friendly. However the location is just unbeatable in Avignon. Right in front of the palace. No car. Just perfect. In the winter i would give this place a much lower rating, because you can eat better elsewhere. But when the weather is good it is the perfect place for drinks with finger food or a romantic diner.

We arrived on a Tuesday evening at about 8:30pm without a reservation. Approached a waiter who found the manager and we were seated outside immediately. I am garlic and onion intolerant so I usually know to eat fish which is the easiest to accommodate. My swordfish was excellent. The chef substituted potatoes for the sides. My friend had the swordfish with no accommodations and she said hers was excellent as well. The chef came out to speak to the diners after dinner. A very friendly person snd competent chef!

The biggest problem I had was I don't know French well. My mobile s perfect in translating most of the menu. I'd just unfamiliar with done of the Moroccan foods. The dishes are amazingly delicious. We arrived shortly after they opened and the place was full 25 minutes later on a Sunday night. I wasn't familiar with the wines either so we ordered different reds. Both were strange but delicious.

A truly magical restaurant tucked away in Avignon. After a few nights of french cuisine we elected to try something different and were pleasantly surprised. The portion sizes are quite big so I reccomend sharing (especially if you get any couscous dish). I personally really loved the lentil soup - spicy, hearty and delicious. The meat was a little on the bland side, but overall a good choice. They also had a very delicious juice (the company Alain Milliat).

We stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed the Moroccan food and ambience. The couscous dishes easily serve 2 and also had the hummus

Omg this place is amazing. Stumbled upon it on a rainy day and it was one of the best meals we’ve had - and that’s from our travels through the entire south of France and Provence. Friendly service, cute ambiance, and spectacular food. We got the chicken tagine and couscous, both 10/10.

Great oriental restaurant! The couscous was light and fluffy, and the lamb was tender and flavorful. Perfectly spiced and authentic. Excellent service too!

We had a wonderful dinner. The food was fantastic and the owners super nice. We also had the red wine which was very tasty. Their adorable cat made it a perfect evening. We will definitely visit again.

If you are ever travelling to Villeneuve/Avignon, France- don’t miss out this fabulous restaurant! After having eaten too much rich food in France, we wanted to opt for something light, healthy and fresh. Naturabsolu really caught my attention with their creative mix of dishes offered on the menu. When we tried their meals, we were very impressed by interesting and balanced mix of fresh and organic ingredients. Each bite was full of flavour and had multi layers of taste. The owner and his wife’s(Said and Lena) passion truly echos through their food and through the restaurant’s earthy and organic ambience. During our stay, we have dined twice, and will visit there once more before we leave!

This a very lovely restaurant in an ancient little area surrounded by castles and a cute little downtown village atmosphere. Everything except for two things was vegan and excellent. I arrived early but they accommodated me. Food was very delicious and made with a lot of care. Excellent gluten free beer. I really recommend stopping by you won’t be disappointed.

I had an excellent vegan meal at Naturabsolu, the food is absolutely delicious and 100% healthy and bio! The restaurant is cosy and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner is friendly, kind, and makes you feel right at home. A special mention goes to Nefus, the affectionate and charming cat who adds a lovely touch to the experience. Highly recommended!

Very tasty food, apart from some goat and eggs everything is vegetarian. Very tasty and cosy place with a feeling that you can/have to stop in our mad world.

I was very pleased to find this gem of a little café restaurant in the square of Vielle Lez Avignon on a cycling trip. It was the first establishment I had found in the whole of Avignon that offered proper, excellent, sourdough bread and biodynamic, delicious, healthy food. I much enjoyed chatting to the proprietor about gluten intolerance, the drawbacks of modern farming methods, and nutrition. Thank you! My husband and I left feeling well nourished on every level. This place needs to be discovered by many more folk!

Phenomenal vegan food in a beautiful setting. Fresh, natural ingredients bursting with flavor, and incredibly warm, welcoming hosts. A must-visit in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon!

Although it had a beautiful presentation but the food was not as good as in other restaurants in Villeneuve. The pasta was kind of tasteless. The salad and the entree were too salty. The crème brûle - not bad but also not great compared to others. The view was nice on the side of the restaurant where you need a reservation which we did not have. We were sitting with a view of the tennis court. Not super fancy, but nice and relaxing setting. Pretty casual. I think the other side may be was on more up side. But I don’t think we will be coming back for the view.

This restaurant is located next to a tennis club. Entry to the restaurant is through the tennis court. It’s gorgeously decorated inside & has a great view of the castle. We loved the bone marrow appetizer & the tuna steak.

High hopes for the wine barge across from our hotel. The wine knowledge was impressive, however the wine list unnecessarily extensive/ expensive and the food underwhelming. Don't show on an empty stomach- we didn't eat all day following our travels and it didn't quite hit the spot.

Fantastic experience that was so good, we went back twice within a few days! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with a very well curated wine list with wines from across France (great Burgundy selections!), and delicious but simple and approachable food. The woman who i believe to be the owner is exceptionally charming and very thoughtful. She remembered us both after only one visit, and really helped to make my 40th birthday a memorable day! Don't change a thing, you are all amazing at Vinotage!

Stumbled across this gem by chance. A little walk away from Avignon centre but worth every step. Calm, peaceful boat on the Rhone river overlooking a magnificent view of Avignon Centre and the Palais des Papes. Covered outside and inside space with contemporary furniture and fantastic service. Got a wine tasting flight to start which was great to get a taste of the wonderful selection they carry here. We're English speaking and the owner was very welcoming and was super friendly to get us comfortable. If we had more time on our trip we would come back again, definitely! They are newly opened apparently when we visited so I wish them all the success for this great little venture!!! Highly recommended!

Amazing location on the Rhone river, great view of Avignon at daytime or night time. Super friendly staff and great choice of wine from all around France. The food is good but nothing special and is made of Antipasti and snacks. A place to go to for dates and plus. You won't be amazed by the food but the atmosphere, view and staff make this place. Will definitely go back for apéro.

I am 6 years sober. I picked up a box of Papalines because the label in the shop described them as an Avignon specialty. Unfortunately, they contained a very strong alcohol. Alcohol was listed in the ingredients on the bottom of the box, but there was no mention of alcohol on the label in the store. Because of this, it did not occur to be to check the ingredients list. There was no indication in the store that I was buying an alcohol filled candy. Unexpectedly tasting a very strong alcohol after 6 years of sobriety was extremely upsetting. We went back to the store to tell them, but the staff was unapologetic and unhelpful. Emotionally, an awful experience in what has otherwise been a lovely trip. The store label: "The Avignon specialty created by the Confederation of Pastries and Chicolatiers of Vaucluse in 1960."

Beautiful, amazing chocolates and fantastic customer service! We recently visited this shop while on vacation and the woman who helped us was very nice and helped me find options that were gluten free. We enjoyed the chocolates so much I went back and stocked up before we went home. Everything we tried was fantastic but I especially loved their chocolate covered candied orange slices!

We have visited plenty of chocolatiers in many cities, but this one was special. The individual chocolates looked hand-painted. The woman who was working in the store explained the process by which they were made and how they were sold. We were planning to purchase a box of six, but the assortments offered made that number too limiting, so we bought 12. Fabulous, delicious, delicate and flavors that are memorable. Thanks for the great chocolates and the service!

The chocolates were incredible, but equally wonderful was the service. She spoke English quite well and helped me choose the chocolates I liked from a wide range of options. I'm definitely returning before I leave Avignon.

I have been a customer of Aline for ever. The quality has always been at the top. They are very welcoming, speak English and are always happy to take the time to answer any question or concern. Local, I live abroad and bringing chocolate from Aline is part of my routine as I know it will be a hit with friends overseas.

Long lines but quick! They have a bun which was so good that I went back for it to have more… it’s the one divided in four parts. You can keep it for long time. I cut it down and toast them and even it is not as fluffy as the same day you buy it, the taste is still so good!

We came here to buy some bread . We bought brioche and two chocolate breads. They were really good , but in my opinion the chocolate was a little too dark for me . The con here is there are no places to eat . There are no chairs and table . Overall it's really good. Will come again next time !

I went there in late afternoon on Friday and was lucky to find a few sourdough bread still left. The rasins and walnut sourdough was fabulous. I passed by it another day in the morning and the options are mesmerising including an awesome looking fougasse.

The best range and taste of Bio sourdough breads we have come across in over 3 weeks in Europe. The ancient grain Einkorn bread was a standout and rice bread for gluten intolerance is also available.

Incredible bread and sandwiches. We wished we'd ordered double sandwiches as they were incredibly fresh (made to order) and the bread was to die for. Even the lemonade was spectacular. An absolute must for a takeaway sandwiches (Australian reviewers).

Cosy self-service cafe in the centre of Avignon. Great breakfast deal: for 2,30€ you will get a croissant aux amended and a coffee. You can even choose between three different organic coffee mixes (very convenient at this price point); we tried the Guatemala and the Melanesia, both were nice. Croissant was average but quite good quality/price.

How simple dishes, when very good executed become perfect! I had the veloute tomates, the Italian burger (with home made frites) ande the tiramisu. My wife the shrimps, the st.pierre fish and the tiramisu. A bottle of rose (Tavel). Very good diner for 75 euro's both.
