Ground floor has some fantastic art work, furniture, vases, tapestries etc. when you go upstairs there are 3 rooms in a shade of green that’s mind blowing. Walk through to the bedrooms and then you enter the Chinese room. OMG. Look at that bed! The room is a vivid red that just oozes money. Walk to the jardin and you would think if they charged an extra € they could afford a gardener.

This is a museum of Catholic art near to the Palais de Papes. It is well set up. I'm giving it three stars because there is only French descriptions. There is no entry fee. I highly recommend it if you're interested in Italian catholic saints and mystery history.

They have some wonderful art, but they also had the lights off in some of their galleries, had other galleries closed off, and herded is out a half hour before they even close. Make sure you go early, and pay attention to their seasonally changing hours.

Browsing the galleries you can recognize a church you toured or a tower you had breakfast under. At the time we visited there was some contemporary art presented alongside the normal collection, lending perspective to both. The museum opens onto one of Avignon's most entertaining streets with restaurants and shops only a few steps away. I recommend L'Épicerie de Ginette for open sandwiches, soups & homemade cakes in a 1940s cafe with period music and terrace seating on a small square.

It is small. But it is free, staff is very friendly for a museum. It is the only museum I know where dogs are welcome. And young kids love it as seeing stuffed animals and dino fossiles is something they all enjoy. So if you are with your child in town, give it a go, perfect 1 hour .

A beautiful park perch high on top of the hill with great views to the bridge and the Pope's Palace. Lots of space for people to enjoy picnics and to just soak in the sunshine and atmosphere. The white swans are also beautiful.

These are lovely gardens just beyond the Cathedral and almost to easy to miss altogether. There are some stunning views of the bridge and river as well as an interesting exhibition of enlarged black and white photographs dotted around the gardens. There is a delightful cafe in the middle of the grounds alongside a water feature making it a great place to have a sit down whilst having a competitively priced coffee.

This is the most beautiful garden in Avignon, that you can access the bridge. But going up was not easy. Use the access road near the palas papes. Quiete amazing view of the city. I was lucky to capture one of the ducks at the fountain. It's beautiful. Overall its a nice place to visit.
