Barbecue restaurant
Southern Soul Barbeque is a popular BBQ joint located on St. Simons Island, housed in a former gas station. It has gained recognition for its oak-smoked meats and specialties, with accolades from Southern Living Magazine and restaurant critic Bill Addison. The menu features pulled pork sandwiches, beef brisket, ribs, and smoked turkey breast. Conveniently situated at the Demere Road roundabout upon entering the island, it has been a beloved spot since its inception in 2006.
Great place to go. They have lunch special that great deal. The bbq has great flavor. We had most of items and everything was great. A must stop in island!
Scott R — Google review
Really good food and welcoming service. I had the turkey plate and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was tender and the vinegar on the side was flavorful. Loved to okra and our son enjoyed the hotdog and fries. Husband said the pulled pork was good. We missed the gift shop but maybe next time. Also forgot to ask what the deal was with the license plates?! Pretty neat decor.
Clarke E — Google review
We went on a Saturday. I have wanted to try their Flavored wings for sometime. We got three out of the four flavors offered. Every time we get the wings to go, Maui flavored are sold out. Describe... Odd the charts delicious! Smoky, tasty, sweet and spicy!! They are meaty and you get alot for your money!
Pamela H — Google review
Locals recommended this place to us. We had an amazing smoked turkey breast and their Cuban sandwich. Sides Brunswick stew a must try and the Mac and Cheese! Great areas to sit outside and enjoy this beautiful spring weather.
Marie C — Google review
This places is a namesake and it makes sense. It is good. It is well known. And it is fun. It wasn’t my favorite bbq ever. I got the sampler platter with pork and brisket. They both were a little dry sadly. I had collards and Brunswick stew as sides. The stew was the best thing I had. My friend ordered the prime rib special with hoppin jones and Mac n cheese. The prime rib was huge and pretty tasty. The sides were just ok. I do think this place is a good place to go. Huge portions and it is popular for a reason. We got there right at 11 and by the time we left there was already a line. Worth a try for sure. I just wouldn’t say it is my favorite and I have had better.
Kenzie W — Google review
Decided to grab lunch here while I was shopping on St Simons Island and I must say, it was phenomenal. I had the Soul Sandwich (jumbo pulled pork sandwich) with sweet sauce and hot sauce with a side of BBQ baked beans. I really enjoyed all of it. The staff was friendly, and even though the line was out the door, my wait was not too long. Pricing is on par with what you would expect from this type of restaurant. I think I paid about $20 (that was with a tip). Will be back!
Robert R — Google review
No visit to Saint Simons Island would be complete without a stop here for at least one meal. Southern Soul is an institution in this town and rightfully so. The food is excellent and plentiful. The daily special is a chopped pork sandwich, fries and a drink. Only $10. It was more food than we could eat. We got the 'sweet' sauce out of a choice of four choices. We noticed that this is the sauce that most of the local ask for. The walls are covered with magazine articles that have featured this place. By all means eat here!
Kenneth D — Google review
We tried a bit of all from the stew to brisket to chicken to the smoked turkey and boy do i have to say coming fro. Bbq country if Texas it was amazing. Im glad I will be in the area knowing that there s delicious bbq in here at least.

Palmer's Village Cafe is a bustling eatery known for its unique, homestyle breakfast and lunch fare. Whether you're a local or tourist, this spot is perfect for starting your day with hearty southern-style creations. The Texas-sized French Toast, topped with bananas and strawberries, is a customer favorite. The menu offers an abundance of options including Challah French toast, granola pancakes, veggie omelette, and Benedicts galore.
We've been to Palmer's a few times, and it's a great breakfast spot. Yes, they can be very busy, and depending on how close you are to the door, it can be very disruptive. But the staff is friendly and the service is fast. We love the biscuits, and the way they cook their eggs is perfect. Definitely will visit again.
Jean R — Google review
Walking into Palmer’s Village Cafe was a whole different vibe—I didn’t expect it at all. The place was clean, and the smell of good cooking hit me right away. The service was fast and attentive, and even though it was packed, our food arrived in a decent time. I do wish the seats were a little bigger and had some cushioning, but that’s a small trade-off for the great experience. If you go, trust me—the French toast is the way to go!
M — Google review
Is it worth the 20-30 minute wait or early wake-up call? Umm, yeah!! If you are looking for a tasty fulfilling breakfast in a quaint causual setting, this is the place to be. With a diverse menu offering, Palmer's Village Cafe is serving traditional and creative meals catered to their southern island residents and guests. Friendly servers provide prompt courteous service to all patrons. Seating is limited. Parties larger than 4, call ahead to notify them you're coming, though they don't take reservations. On street and Lot parking are available along Mallery Street and the surrounding areas.

If u want the best breakfast in St. Simons, this place is it! My wife had the banana pudding pancakes and I had the coastal delight which was awesome. Had great from my waiter. Only thing negative I say is we were seated in the back and it was alittle uncomfortable temp wise but I tell u the food is worth it though
Wesley A — Google review
Very cute and quaint restaurant. We came for breakfast. It was first thing in the morning, around 8 a.m. They opened at 7:30. It was already packed. But we were seated right away. We had the French toast and 2 egg breakfast with the pimento cheese grits bacon, sausage and a biscuit. You can tell that the sausage was homemade. It was very flavorful and delicious. Everything was nice hot and tasty.

Such a great place. Small menu and executed very well. Energy in the restaurant was fantastic. Servers moving none stop helping clear tables and getting people sat. I had their eggs beni over crab cakes. It was delicious. Their tomato soups was amazing.
Orlando A — Google review
Everything was excellent! I was even able to build my own omelet with crab meat, bacon and pimento cheese. The grits were great as well. A friend enjoyed the French toast. And a couple others had the steak and eggs. The coffee was ok: hot and unlimited. Would return on a later trip for sure.
Janette B — Google review
We have been coming to the island for years. This place is always packed and we have never been able to get it. We decided to give it a try on a monday morning!!!!! Success!!!!! And let me tell you it is worth the wait!!!!! This is the best breakfast I have had on this island. The crab cake Benedict which I think is called surf squared is to die for!!!! The service is also exceptional!!!! We will be back and will wait if needed.

Tramici Restaurant is a cozy Italian eatery located in St. Simons Island, GA, offering a warm and inviting dining experience for families and friends. The restaurant is part of the same group as Halyards and prides itself on serving Italian-inspired cuisine sourced from local fishermen and farmers. Diners can enjoy classic dishes such as brick-oven pizza, pasta, antipasto with prosciutto and cheeses, as well as braised short ribs over goat cheese ravioli.
Super friendly! Food was outstanding if k! Gorgonzola pizza was unbelievable truly! Who would have thought to make a crust with cauliflower and put grapes on the pizza! The Basil-gin Rikki hit the spot. The cannoli beat the famous Mike’s Bakery of the North End in Boston.
Derek J — Google review
Let us congratulate the efforts made by individuals providing delicious handmade pasta dishes, wine/libations and delightful customer service because Tramici has done it all. My group enjoyed their meals and our pleasant server was knowledgeable. Atmosphere is contemporary causual, so bring yourself, family or friends for an enjoyable meal. Ample seating is available for parties of 4 or less whether its a booth, table or at the central bar. Call ahead for larger groups. Pricing is comparable to similar restaurants serving Italian cuisine. Plenty of free parking exists around the building as this place located in quaint shopping center.

I love this place! My dish was super fly. The pizza was great, too! I ordered a shrimp piccata, and I got an exotic seasoning free of charge. Even the fly was free!
Persephone B — Google review
Lovely and casual atmosphere, very good choices on the menu that all sound very modern and delicious. I had the special they were running that was balsamic marinated skirt steak with risotto and it was AWESOME. Desserts were also incredible! Tiramisu and canolis were our choices. You have to try the tiramisu! Our server Marley was so kind and helpful, talked so well with our child too. I really admire that in a server 💗 thank you guys so much!
Ella D — Google review
My wife and I were in town for a conference and decided to have dinner at Tramici. I ordered the chop—either lamb or pork (I honestly can’t remember)—but whatever it was, it was fantastic. For the first time ever, I ended up with a dish my wife liked more than her own. She ordered the ravioli, which was definitely more creative than traditional. While I thought it was well-prepared, she tends to prefer more classic flavors and wasn’t a big fan. That said, the quality was still there—it just came down to personal preference. Overall, we both enjoyed the experience. Great food, inviting atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend Tramici to anyone visiting the area.
William S — Google review
I returned to this restaurant from when I visited the area 11 years ago. I recounted to Katelyn, our server what happened 11 years ago that when the manager found out we were recently married, she comped our meal. Katelyn loved the story and gave us the excellent service, recommendations and meal that was the best meal we had while on the island. Katelyn is a true gem and she made our meal even more special when she said since we were celebrating an anniversary she sent dessert home for the four of us to enjoy. This restaurant and Katelyn are wonderful. Visit soon. You will not be disappointed.

We always enjoy a night out at Tramici. The dining room is lovely with a lively central bar. Servers and bartenders are true professionals. The food is spot on. Everything is delicious from appetizers to salads, entrees, and desserts. Wonderful wine selection. Highly recommend this Italian gem.
Helen A — Google review
The restaurant is very nice, the lunch menu is small in comparison to the dinner but the food was delicious. Especially the pizza. Definitely a must try. Although our server did not stand out we had a good time and will be back.

Porch is a charming eatery located in the heart of Saint Simons Island Village, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Guests can choose to dine at outdoor picnic tables within the fenced-in property, on the traditional screened-in porch, or indoors.
We really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was great. The wait time wasn’t bad to order. The food came out quickly. Everything was good. The food was seasoned very well and you got nice portion sizes. This place was definitely a vibe! So glad we dined here.
Valencia T — Google review
Love the atmosphere and vibes! Tenders, catfish, pimento grits and Mac n cheese were THE BEST! Cocktail sauce was delicious! Fried shrimp was good but could be seasoned a bit more, baked beans were bland to be maple flavored. Looking forward to trying new dishes and sides next visit!
Anna C — Google review
We were in the area and had to stop because we love DDD and found out Guy stopped here. We had the chicken tenders and fried shrimp. Also had fries, tots, Mac N Cheese and brussell sprouts. Everything was fantastic, best thing to me was the fried shrimp with tasted fresh and had great flavor. Only downside was the Mac was not very hot and flavor was lacking. Staff is super nice. Tons of seating. Prices are fair. Atmosphere is great. I want to come back again and try more things.
Wade — Google review
So, Porch was wonderful. Pictured is the little dark plate, tots topped with pimento cheese, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was really good. Nice crisp skin and juicy meat inside. Tots are taken up a notch with the pimento cheese, and the coleslaw was spot on. All in all, if you're around St Simon Island you'll want to stop in.
Chris B — Google review
The food was great, and we loved the "porch" vibe and atmosphere! I loved that they highlighted which options were gluten free and vegan/vegetarian, as I can't eat wheat or dairy so it makes eating out challenging, but they made it easy! I had roasted chicken (Nashville hot) with brussel sprouts and tried collard greens for the first time ever. The brussel sprouts were the best I've had in my entire life!!! The chicken was amazing as well, but if you want spicy, maybe choose the Napalm heat, the Nashville wasn't spicy at all to me, but the flavor was great!!! And the prices were pretty great!
Padma D — Google review
We really enjoyed the our meals. I wish I had known the spice level was based on a paprika. The novice was good but Nashville overpowered any taste of chicken at all. We all agreed we would return and just have the fish, shrimp, and chicken without any “heat.”
Barbie T — Google review
Porch on St. Simons Island delivers a knockout with its Nashville-style hot shrimp. These fresh, wild-caught Georgia shrimp are fried to a golden crisp, coated in a fiery cayenne-based spice blend that balances heat with a subtle sweetness. Offered in four heat levels—Naked, Novice, Nashville, or NaPalm—the Nashville option delivers a bold kick that satisfies spice lovers without overwhelming. Served with creamy coleslaw, fries, and white bread, the generous portion feels like a true Southern feast. The casual, family-friendly vibe, with its iconic wraparound porch and lawn games like cornhole, creates a relaxed coastal backdrop. Service is quick and friendly, though ordering can feel rushed during peak times. For a zesty, beachside twist on Nashville’s classic heat, Porch’s hot shrimp is a must-try, earning rave reviews for flavor and atmosphere.
Doug R — Google review
Order at counter and they bring your food to your table. Chicken sandwich was very good with pimento cheese nice addition. Fresh salad with grilled chicken added was great which my spouse enjoyed. Spiked arnold palmer was 👍 good. Would definitely recommend and we intend to return to try other menu items including the shrimp tacos. Nice outdoor area with Cornhole games included. Overall we both liked the food the service and the atmosphere.

Wine bar
Nestled in Pier Village, the Georgia Sea Grill is a casually refined restaurant that takes pride in its locally sourced seafood and seasonal American dishes. Under the ownership of Zack Gowen, the restaurant has been relocated to a larger and brighter space, offering an extensive wine list and a farm-to-table menu.
The crab bisque was very good and filling. I would highly recommend this appetizer. The fried shrimp had a very smooth corn meal based batter and perfectly fried. The shrimp were large in size but very tender. The oysters were an appetizer but there were enough to be considered a small plate or meal. The service was very friendly. Very nice romantic atmosphere. The biggest let down was their pecan pie which was very thin on filling.
Kenneth T — Google review
Wow, so good! The service was impeccable, the menu had a wide selection of various cuisines, and the wine/cocktails list was great. It's a great atmosphere, nicely appointed, warm and friendly, and comfortable. We went while visiting for our anniversary and would definitely go back. The pics are the hush puppy appetizer, the carpaccio appetizer, the flounder entrée, and the lamb chops. Would definitely recommend if visiting St Simon Island!
Calico J — Google review
Nice local gem in the heart of St. Simons Island! After receiving many recommendations, we visited Georgia Sea Grill. Initially, we were overwhelmed by the smell of the bar area. We decided to push through and I’m glad we did. Cocktails were underwhelming, but after a failed attempt at a round of cocktails, we switched to beer and bottled water, which was cold and lovely. Since moving to the area, I still haven’t gotten used to the taste of the water, so I was glad to see they offer bottled water. We ordered the crab hush puppies as an appetizer. We weren’t told about Happy Hour, or we would have probably tried some of those options as well. The people next to us at the bar tried them and they looked good! The hush puppies were a mix between a hush puppy and a crab cake, then deep fried. Not bad! For my entree, I had the golden tilefish and it was wonderful. The set up for the fish was really nice and flavorful, as well. Here’s where it gets good! My husband has talked about the buttermilk pie his great grandmother would make since I met him, so you can only believe the look of excitement on his face when he saw it on the menu. This dose of nostalgia made his evening. We will most likely return and perhaps will try making a reservation for a table instead of sitting in the bar area.
Seana G — Google review
My partner and I went on a trip to St Simons Island recently and a quick google search for a new restaurant for us to try lead us here. First off, the atmosphere regarding the interior of the restaurant felt very cozy. The dim lights bought a very intimate/romantic feeling as you dine in. We were sat at a table that was in middle of the dining room which was unfortunately right next to a very large and loud group of people (which I’m not blaming the restaurant for). There were not many walls to watch the the sounds of the conversing peoples and there was also no music to set the tone (or there was and the group we were sat next to were so loud that we couldn’t hear the music). Otherwise, everything else was fine. The service rendered was excellent. Our waitress was very knowledgable on the menu and also educated us on their fish specials for the night. She was very personable, respectful, helpful (and funny). Finally, the food; chef’s kiss. I started with the Creamy crab soup w/ chives while my partner had the fork and knife caesar salad. Both our appetizers came out quickly. The soup was absolutely delicious; it was creamy, slightly spicy, rich in flavor, and it was the perfect amount of soup for me. My partner’s salad was a stalk of romaine lettuce topped w/ Parmesan cheese and lightly coated w/ sauce along with a side of very flat, heavily crisped cheddar (which was odd and he didn’t like very much). As he says, his salad was still tasty. For the Entrée, I ordered the herb crusted rack of lambs while my partner ordered the seared scallops w/ sweetcorn risotto; both dishes *chef’s kiss*! I ordered my lamb medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked and succulent. The flavor was astonishingly perfect and with every bite I took I could just feel the love put into the dish. It also came with baby onions, cauliflower and baked scalloped potatoes. Everything on that dish was to my liking besides the cauliflower which had a roasted flavor I was super into. The seared scallops were delicately cooked and nicely soft. The risotto was tasty as well. Everything on my partner's dish was perfect except for the collard greens which had a resilient smell of vinegar and a very bitter taste. Yes when we come back to the Island we will definitely be coming back here and recommending this place to our friends and family!

From entrance to dessert, April made sure our 20th anniversary dinner was exquisite. The food and wine were amazing; some of the best I have ever had, and I have traversed countries. Many applause and four thumbs up!

Georgia Sea Grill is my very favorite upscale restaurant because the menu is unique, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere in the piano bar area is perfect for a date night or special occasion. I usually order the day's special and it never disappoints. I also like the pan roasted fresh catch and the chocolate cheesecake. We've had a different server at each visit and all of them have been excellent. Reservations are not required, but recommended.
Brandi H — Google review
Georgia Sea Grill was recommended to us by a local friend, he raved about how this was his favorite restaurant in town, and boy did it meet my expectations! Our server was a younger, handsome guy who was very knowledgeable on the menu, offered an opinion when we discussed being in between two entree choices, and remained friendly throughout our dinner. We enjoyed the crab stuffed hush puppies, pan roasted fresh catch of the day, grilled filet, and don’t forget the coconut chocolate chip pie. This restaurant is classic upscale dining, with an extensive menu, and beautiful ambience. Don’t leave St Simon’s without stopping into Georgia Sea Grill.

We hosted a group of about 60 people here. They gave us the left side of the restaurant. Everything from the beginning to end was perfect. The service was top notch, the food was outstanding! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Can not say enough good things about this place

Restaurant
Barbara Jean's is a cozy diner that offers a taste of the South with its homemade Southern dishes. While it's renowned for its Eastern Shore style crab cakes, made without fillers, there's much more to savor. The menu features an array of seafood delights and traditional favorites like pot roast. Additionally, guests can indulge in appetizers such as fried onion rings and cheese fries. If you're seeking authentic Southern dining on St.
Had an amazing dinner yesterday at Barbara Jeans! The inside view feels like a comfy home cooked restaurant. The onion rings were pretty good (great crisp), but the Shrimp and Grits were to die for!! Crab cakes were legit all crab which was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone!
Aaron R — Google review
Located right next to Saint Simons pier. Quaint and comfortable atmosphere. Basket of bread included pumpkin bread, cheese and jalapeno corn bread and a roll. The corn bread was scrumptious. Hubby had the coconut shrimp. They were large shrimp and very tasty, but he didn't care for the orange marmalade that came with them. He said the red beans and rice were out of this world good. He also had the cheese grits. I had the crab cake which was filled with a lot of crab and very little else. It was good but I wish it was served with remoulade instead of tarter. I enjoyed the coleslaw because it wasn't sweet. The squash casserole, however, was delicious. Service was extremely fast and very friendly.
Melissa J — Google review
Perfect local relaxed restaurant with massive portions of fresh cooked eats. I had the blackened chicken sandwich and my wife had the chicken but made with real chicken breast. Sides of cheese grits and roasted veggies were uniquely tasty! Service was ultra friendly and the whole atmosphere was quiet and relaxed! Heartily recommend this place.

Great experience! The food and service were both wonderful! They offer 4 covered outdoor tables (ceiling fans) if you're dining with your doggo (water bowl was offered). Big variety of food & alcoholic drinks are available. Public parking is located all around. They offer 3 table breads: wheat rolls, pumpkin bread, and jalapeno cornbread (so yummy). We tried the special of the day (baked white fish), tuna steak , crab cake app, & coconut shrimp app. Both main dishes were delightful! The crab cake was good and the coconut shrimp/ pineapple sauce was also good.
Sam — Google review
The service was great the food and portion sizes are phenomenal. We had the “loaded” onion rings, chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. Both were fried perfect and juicy. Gravy was thick and flavorful. Would definitely recommend and will try again if we make our way back down this way.
Wondering S — Google review
The bread basket was delicious and the portion sizes were huge! Country fried steak was good - my only complaint is there was too much loose batter on it. I had to take off a lot before I got to the meat. Kids chicken tenders were enormous.
Rebecca C — Google review
They helped me convince my daughter to try new cuisine/ food. She loves the grilled tuna. She was also nice enough to save me some of my own darn food! Her smile was priceless. The she crab soup and house made onion rings held me over. 🤌🏿

So, we have been by this place a lot of times and always wanted to try it but always hit or go to places when we're at St Simons.. we actually stopped today to try Barbara jeans and needless to say we were not too impressed. We got onion rings and fried shrimp as an appetizer those were good. My wife had the chicken fried chicken and she said it was very dry and her mac and cheese was good. I got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and dirty rice, the meatloaf is over mixed and was like a brick the mashed potatoes were off it had some kind of greasy taste to it in the dirty rice was actually pretty good. Are waitress was super nice and we had a good time interacting with her.

🍕 Couldn’t Stop Going Back! 🍝 Sal’s Neighborhood Pizzeria serves some of the best New York style thin-crust pizza I’ve ever had. The crust is soft but with a oven-baked richness, and the cheese and toppings merge together beautifully (whether good old fashioned cheese or a specialty pizza like their “Meaty Treaty,” you can’t go wrong). Don’t overlook the entrees! The Baked Ziti is to die for. I don’t know what magic they put in their house made sauce blend but it keeps me coming back for more. End things off with a delicious dessert (Italian Lemon Cake was fabulous!). The interior is a bit tight, but they also have outdoor seating available. It’s a must-eat spot at St. Simon’s!

Had a good experience at this pizza spot! It’s tucked away, and you can’t really see it from the road or the parking lot, which sort of gives it a “hole in the wall” local feel. The pizza was filling and tasted great. I also highly recommend the bourbon wings! The only bad part was that the bus boy/waiter or guy who cleaned up our dishes kept giving us dirty looks and acted extremely irritated for some reason. Other than that, it was a great local Pizza/wings spot! There is not much room inside at all, so don’t bring a large party with you. Definitely cram packed in there. But again, cool little vibe. I’d go again for sure!

Sals is the place to go on Saint Simon’s to satisfy your pizza craving after a Long Beach day! They open late in the afternoon but it is worth the wait if you like thin crust pizza. They are extremely generous on their meat pizza and the sauce is great!

Sal’s was great! I ordered the lasagna, which was very good and had a nice, robust tomato sauce. The breadstick on the side was nice with the sauce and had hints of rosemary. I also tried the Marshal (white) pizza and it was good as well. However, the standout was definitely the cheese pizza. It had deliciously salty cheese and great chewy crust. I really enjoyed this pizza and would love to have it again!

Best eggplant parm sandwich I’ve ever had! The sauce was the perfect amount of sweet and savory, the bread was incredibly soft and the eggplant was perfectly breaded. Very large order for the price, and the girl at the pick-up window was very nice (and wasn’t aggravated when I took a few minutes to ask questions). Excellent food!

This place has great food. Their pizza is hand made and placed in a real stone pizza oven. I had no wait time to be seated but by the time I had finished my meal, there was a short wait. Food servers were friendly and checked on me often. It has a family friendly atmosphere.

Perfect little Italian joint! We have been a few times. Pizza is ALWAYS great. We love to try their specials. Recently had meatball mozzarella skewers as an app that were amazing! And a pesto gnocchi that was incredible! Service is always wonderful. It's tiny and pretty tight quarters but it is the perfect little spot for great Italian food!

Nestled in The Village, Del Sur Artisan Eats is a charming eatery that beautifully marries contemporary Argentinian and Italian cuisine. Since its inception in 2011 by co-owners Hernan Stutzer and Chef Alberto Llano, this intimate spot has been dedicated to serving honest food—crafted with care and simplicity. Each dish is handmade, allowing the natural flavors of fresh ingredients to shine through.
We absolutely loved our dinner at Del Sur. I highly recommend reservations through Opentable. When you walk in, you will immediately smell the grill! The empanadas are delicious and the flank steak with chimichurri was one of the best I've ever had. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable.

Stopped by for lunch today with friends. Our server, Quinn was incredible and very attentive to all of our needs. We ordered the mixed salad with chicken, Grilled Cheese w/ Ceasar and the Cuban Sandwhich with fries. We loved all of our meals and the food was delicious and perfect lunch portions. Give this little slice of heaven a try. Very pretty atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.

Last week my friends and I went to Del sur in Brunswick, a restaurant a friend had recommended because it serves Latin-inspired food. Since I’m from Latin America, I was really excited to try it and see if it reminded me of home. The place had a cozy and colorful atmosphere, with warm lights and music that gave it an authentic Latin vibe. The staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. We started with some empanadas that tasted just like the ones I used to eat back home crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For my main dish, I ordered a chimichurri steak with fries, and it was amazing. The steak was juicy, and the sauce had that traditional flavor I really missed. My friends all loved their meals too, especially the rice bowls and tacos. To finish, we shared a tres leches cake that was soft, sweet, and full of flavor. Eating at Del sur brought back a lot of memories from my country, and I really appreciated that taste of home. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely go back again whenever I want to enjoy real Latin flavors in Brunswick.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time! Perfectly cooked steak and a braised bone-in short rib, and an orange creme brulee to finish. Perfect! They even sent a birthday candle home with the dessert since the server knew it was for a birthday. Will go again, probably tomorrow night!

Upscale but laid back atmosphere. Sarah H our waitress was friendly and patient, food was really great. My whole family had clean plates. Every dish including dessert and drinks were fantastic.

We did not need a reservation, we got lucky!!!! Spur of the moment decision. It has been the best meal we have had at saint simons. From the appetizer to the dessert. We had the steak empananda. It was great all on its own. Sauce was not needed. The butternut squash soup could have used more cream but still delicious. The short rib over the parmesan risotto was to die for. Creamy risotto and the short rib was extremely tender. We also had the shrimp premivera absolutely stunning!!! And to top it off we had the khalula cake which we finished in our hotel room. So moist and flavorful. We will definitely be back!!!! Great job!!!!

I visited Saint Simons Island for my birthday, and Del Sur was my first stop for lunch. It was still early, and aside from one other table of guests seated outside, I was the only customer in the restaurant before the lunch rush. Adam immediately struck up a conversation with me, and Quinn, my waiter, was equally engaging. When I mentioned I was there for my birthday weekend, Adam surprised me with a piece of Kahlúa cake. My entire lunch experience was fantastic. The chicken on my salad was cooked to perfection, and their house vinaigrette was phenomenal. Fantastic food aside, what truly made this my favorite place on the island was the staff. Quinn, a young college student, was sweet, engaging, and such a gentleman. Adam, pictured below, was kind and attentive. Watching him in the kitchen as I ate, you could see his culinary skill and passion. I returned the following evening to purchase another slice of that amazing cake, and the place was packed. Both Adam and Quinn recognized me from the previous day, greeted me with hugs, and chatted as much as they could while I waited for my to-go order. Quinn asked me to come back the next night for dinner, but unfortunately, bad weather kept me in my hotel room. On my next trip, Del Sur will once again be my first stop and go-to restaurant. I only hope to see Adam and Quinn again - they were the absolute highlight of my trip.

I had the pleasure of dining at Del Sur during a short visit to St Simon’s Island. I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! Del Sur offers a welcoming ambiance that's perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. Our group was on the larger side, but the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. One of the highlights of our dinner was the superb selection of wines, which perfectly complemented our flavorful dishes. The meat choices were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the steak, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal on St. Simon's Island. I can’t wait to return!

Picked this spot out to hear karaoke and enjoy my evening. That is exactly what happened. The service was prompt, courteous, and friendly. The music and young people were singing and dancing like they should be in their young stage of life. That was so wonderful to see. Even the smallest of children would join in the fun. Such an awesome evening and loved the karaoke. Such a warm and friendly spot in Redfern Village. Highly recommend.

Food was very tasty. Who knew I'd enjoy grilled veggies on vacation 😋 they were seasoned just right. Brendan (could be Brandon & I might have his name wrong all together- sorry) was attentive to me as soon as I sat at the bar. He was kind and pleasant. I highly recommend trying this place. Outside patio seating if that's your thing, a more covered patio with booths and big screens are available as well and of course the bar. Do a bit of shopping then swing by here for the fried okra 🙂

Greats friendly set up! Service is good(not awesome)and they had live music too! We did not have any alcohol! The fried pickles were amazing! Our main course entrees were not that great! First of all none of us got silverware! I guess it was the eat with fingers kind of place! Only the grits has a spoon in it when it came out of the kitchen! The shrimp and grits were terrible no taste at all … I make better grits at home and I am not a even a southerner!! I was to have a salad and that never came either! Son ordered a crab burger and it was dry like Paper no sauces to save the day either! The good part was the fried fish and the blackened fish!! So get the fish … everything else maybe not :( I will still give 4 for the live music, ambience and sweet tea!

Gnats has been here as long as I can remember and it hasn’t changed. Be prepared to sit in the heat getting eaten by bugs at a miniature picnic table with poor service, and mediocre food. It was a year since I was here last so I figured I’d give them another chance. A year later and it still isn’t worth going. The BBQ nachos had cold beef and lukewarm queso. The trigger fish was good as were the fries. The salad was very simple as if it was from a bag. This place might be better if I was drunk.

Certified Burgers and Beverage is a comfortable establishment that specializes in unique burgers, sandwiches, and more. They also offer a wide range of drinks including coffee, ice cream beverages, craft beers, and cocktails. With their emphasis on freshness and quality, they grind their own meat and hand-cut their fries. This burger joint provides an elevated casual dining experience with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Their commitment to five-star cooking can be seen in every aspect of their menu. Located in St.
The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. We had the buffalo tater tots on the side, and they were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and an excellent complement to the Greektown burger we shared. The house-made sauces added a great touch. The service was friendly and attentive, making for an all-around fantastic dining experience. If you’re in SSI and craving a great burger, this is the place to go!

What a fantastic find in a pinch. My wife is Gluten and Dairy free and was able to eat here with confidence. I got the OAXACA burger (chorizo patty) and my goodness it was delicious. I definitely recommend the tots with cheese sauce as a side! The wait staff was very nice and service was speedy.

I just stopped here around 3PM during my break, and not knowing what to expect. I ordered the greek town burger which was out of this world, the flavors were amazing to the point I can’t get enough. I think that’s the first time in decades that I ordered a burger and felt I got more than what I paid for. I ordered fries on the side, the pimento cheese appetizer, and house lemonade, all of which were perfect! Stephanie took my order, very polite, direct and fast. The food came quickly, the atmosphere was fantastic and relaxing. I’m just sad i couldn’t spend more time and money here. If you haven’t been you’re missing something amazing.

Our favorite spot for burgers and beer in the Golden Isles! If you’re a craft beer lover, chances are you’ve been disappointed in the selection in the Golden Isles. Certified Burgers & Beverage has a stellar rotating tap selection full of great craft options, which we were delighted to find! Their food is excellent. It’s simple — burgers, sandwiches, fries, tots, chips, etc with some salads and a few simple apps, like Pimento Cheese that comes with a sleeve of Ritz crackers. If you’re a vegetarian, they have a great Chickpea Fritter app and burger. We typically sit at the bar and the bartenders are always welcoming and personable. Our favorites? The Fungi Burger is fantastic and any of the burgers featured in their “Specials” menu are worth ordering! No matter what you get — make sure you get the Certified Sauce! It’s their take on a “fry sauce” and it’s the bomb. Don’t skip the milkshake, especially the Oreo. It’s worth it.

This is my favorite restaurant to visit when traveling for work. What impresses me most is the consistency in excellent customer service and delicious seafood dishes! David was my bartender this time and he made sure I was taken care of and carried on enjoyable conversation with me while he worked. Another wonderful experience! Kudos to the cooks as I tried new dishes and wow they are my new favorites!

The Golden Isle Olive Oil gourmet market and restaurant did not disappoint. I definitely would add this place into my eatery rotation on the island. The food options were delicious and service was excellent. My party ordered the Farmhouse Burger, Roasted Chicken Breast, Chocolate Balsamic Shirt Ribs, Salmon Salad (Appetizer) and Olive Oil Cake (Rum Flavored). Our waitress provided some of the best customer service I've seen in a long time. There was a local musician providing some entertainment for patrons. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. Pricing is comparable for similar establishments. Parking is free around the building.

Stopped in for dinner and enjoyed a delicious dirty martini to start. We ordered the beet salad, chicken curry salad, and grilled cheese. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the olive oil cake and peach pie, and they did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious from start to finish. We’ve been here before and always have a great experience—never a bad meal or moment. Long overdue for a review, but well deserved!

This is every girls dream to come to a tea party. Let alone bringing her gma and mom along for the experience. Everything Donna makes is esquiste! Love coming here everyday of the week. Stop in and enjoy a nice lunch or a spot of tea. You won't regret it!!!

Priced like a restaurant in the village but near a traffic circle, so outdoor seating was available but would have been very loud. The food was okay. Smaller, more realistic portions but flavorful. Our waiter never filled a glass (water, mixed cocktail, or tea) more full than 1/2 full. The waiter was not engaged, muttered and just walked away when we were mid sentence ordering drinks when we were first seated. We would have liked to order desert and were discussing who wanted what as the waiter stood, silent at the end of the table holding a chalk board listing the offerings. He took a request from one person in our party and then walked away. The one person who got desert said it was good. For the price and dining experience, I would not eat here again.

A spot near the condo. Easy to access and very elegantly designed. I opted for an outdoor table to soak in the amazing sunshine. My server, Brannen, was phenomenal. I had a somewhat difficult time deciding with so many mouth-watering choices. Brannen recommended some of his personal favorites. I chose a side salad with the New Orleans BBQ shrimp with garlic toast. It was delicious_ I savored every bite that I tasted. It had a deep underlying Cajun bite to it as well. The sweet tea was impeccable. The entire experience was more than I expected. Keep up the amazing job GIOO_ Highly recommend.

Our first visit for breakfast was awesome. It was very busy, but we only waited about ten minutes for a table. Amazing breakfast/brunch place. Plates arrive hot and fast. Exceptional Eggs Benedict and also the Southwestern omelette are highly recommended as well as the biscuit and perfectly crispy potatoes. Present and helpful service but not overly so, just a wonderful way to greet the day. Highly recommended.

Stopped into the cafe today like we often have through the years of island visits. As always, very yummy food and excellent service. Kara took great care of us from start to finish including offering refills and to go drinks along with a couple of non food related questions. Just a delight all around. It had been a bit since we’d been so new to us was an additional food and bar area (picture included) that apparently jams until 2am! Our grilled asparagus salad with chicken and Greek salad with blackened shrimp were fantastic. The blackened shrimp were very tasty and warm as a nice contrast to the Greek salad components and dressing.

Hello, my name is Haley Marion and I am reviewing Mallery Street Cafe. It is located on the strip of the pier on St. Simons, and the address is 408 Mallery St, St Simons Island, GA 31522. My friend and I visited this last Sunday, October 12th for brunch. We ordered the 2 Egg McIntosh– toasted English muffins, topped with crabmeat and hollandaise, as well as the Northern three egg omelet, which consisted of steak, onion, peppers, and provolone, both with a side of potatoes. The McIntosh I was not a fan of, but the omelet was solid. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned- crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For drinks we got a cappuccino and a virgin espresso martini, both were well made. If you have ever had Wakeup Cafe, they use their beans and it is one of my favorites. The cafe is easily accessed, but easy to look over. It is on the end of the strip, connected to other shops. It is only marked with a sign on the side of the building, so you wouldn’t notice it without reason. This is a very casual breakfast cafe, full of families and all types of groups and everyone is in their daily clothing. Being a Sunday morning, it was packed. We were squeezed in at a table that was directly behind the host booth. The staff were being pulled many different ways, so the waitering was sparse, but our waitress was very friendly and efficient. If you are with a group that has different tastes, the menu was extremely varied for breakfast, there was even angel hair pasta on the brunch menu. One thing is that the restaurant is a little pricey, as expected from the island. Our bill ended up being $54 before tip. The hours are 7 AM–2 PM for breakfast, and reopens 4 PM–2 AM for the bar, so it is open for most of the day! At night I definitely recommend going, the cafe turns into a bar that often has live music. The crowd at night is often older couples that are a joy to talk to!

Great local breakfast! I had the eggs McIntosh (with crab) and corned beef hash. The hash was cooked perfectly crispy and it was all delish. I tried the omelette and it was nice and fluffy. Highly recommend this local joint!

Great place for breakfast!! We enjoyed a few breakfasts here during our annual February visit! First off they know how to cook eggs!! They know what over medium means! Next the coffee is always hot & fresh! Their bacon is AMAZING!! Nice & crispy!! And just tastes so good. Definitely not too salty, just excellent!! Their toasts are delicious, at least the wheat & white, that we had. I enjoyed a 3 egg omelet with spinach, tomato, onion & bacon. It was really good. The pancakes were very big and yummy! The breakfast potatoes are really good. Although a bit too salty. I guess my only critique is too much salt on the potatoes. And the service was top notch! The servers worked together as a cohesive team and communicated nicely with each other. Constantly checking on each other's tables. It was nice to see that. And the wait for your food order was minimal. I mean they are fast!

Our entire evening at Halyard’s was phenomenal! We were welcomed with true southern hospitality, amazing customer service, absolutely delicious food. We started out with Brussels sprouts and wedge salad which were fabulous. The main course of lamb chops w/ seared tomatoes and scallions and shrimp & grits. Both were out of this world! We celebrated two birthdays at Halyards, and it was perfect. Friendly greeting as soon as we walked in the door. Seated promptly. It was a busy Saturday night, but the staff didn't miss a beat. Blue Crab Bisque is a must, Delicious!! We had the salmon, shrimp and grits and NY Strip (cut of the day). Everything was cooked perfectly and good sized portions. We even had room to share a kiddie sundae 🍨 which was huge for being a 'kiddie' sundae. Thomas was our server, we didn't want for anything. He took great care of us. Highly recommend. We'll definitely be back.

Had an absolutely amazing meal on Saturday night at Halyards. My wife and friend are still raving about the meal. Our guest called it a 19 out of 10. It started with the wedge with blue cheese. They both said it was the best blue cheese dressing they've ever tasted. They asked the waitress if they can sell them a jar of it to take home. I had the grouper and it was perfectly prepared while my wife and guest each had a filet.. They both said the seasoning was perfect and cooked to perfection. Even the desserts were amazing. And let's not forget the great service. Serving staff was on top of everything paying attention without being at the table the entire time. Great job Halyards. We will be back.

Great for Brunch! We were looking for a great brunch spot in the St. Simon’s area, and this is definitely it! The menu had all of the normal breakfast classics, plus a few lunch items, all of which were reasonably priced. The only thing I believe was very overpriced was their drinks. $4 for any of their juices and milks with NO REFILLS. And $3.50 for their normal drinks. Very steep prices for drinks in my opinion. However, other than that, the food was VERY GOOD. I recommend the stuffed blueberry French toast, and the corn beef hash! Both were satisfying and tasted freshly made. The portions were perfect, as I did not get stuffed, but was not left hungry. Another great option would be the Eggs Benedict. My friend ordered those and they looked great. The staff was great, but there was not enough of them, so I was only offered one refill throughout the whole meal. Another slight downside is that it is extremely small inside, with not too many seats. If you have a big group, this is not the place for you. It has a small breakfast cafe feel, as it should. The parking options are also very slim. There are not too many spots and Sunday afternoons are very busy here. Overall, really good experience! I would have given it 5 stars if there were more staff to wait on us, if the orange juice was cheaper, and if the place had more seating and parking. However, 4 stars is really good! I would definitely come back here for brunch! (With a small group).

Found this hidden gem this morning. The staff here is great and very attentive to their customers. The food portions are generous and full of flavor from our seats we where able to watch the kitchen staff preparing the meals. My family really enjoyed this Cafe and will definitely eat here again.

My boyfriend and I are here on his work trip at the Cloister so i decided to venture out and go to a new breakfast place, and this place is so good! Food was fresh, coffee taste great and it’s so cute inside! I definitely recommend coming here!

Very enjoyable breakfast. Food was excellent, I had the French Toast, my wife had the Cinnamon Roll, both were delicious. Coffee was good. Charge for refills on soft drinks. Automatically add $1 to your bill as a donation to St Simons Island trust. Saturday morning ~9 AM, 10-15 minute wait. Staff seemed a little distracted.

My sister and I came here for breakfast and I absolutely love this place. From the service to the atmosphere it's top notch. The food was delicious and fresh. I definitely recommend coming here, you will not be disappointed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A little tough to locate this quaint little neighborhood diner has a friendly wait staff, open view kitchen, and is clean and well kept. Portion sizes were plentiful but the breakfast itself was just ok.... not overwhelming. . The biscuits and gravey seemed to be hamburger based and the toast was delicious as it is grilled after toasting.

We really wanted to love this spot. Most of the reviews said it was a must include when visiting SSI. But it didn’t hit. The wait was about 20-30 minutes - and for Memorial Weekend that’s really not bad! But when we were seated the waitress took our drink orders but only brought half out with a coffee and 1 water. We ordered our food - the menu is pretty simple, limited options for breakfast to single items to make a combo. We went with French toast with potatoes and scrambled eggs as well as a regular pancake and two egg omelette. The food was… good, normal. I wanted more of a southern take, homemade from scratch feel. But it didn’t look or taste any different than I could get a regular diner. The waitress disappeared and didn’t refill our water , orange juice or coffee. The wait staff seemed a tad distracted. Overall not a bad experience, but not out of this world or a must stop while on SSI.

The deli features classic New York flavors like everything and pumpernickel, as well as unique options such as asiago, sun-dried tomato, and French toast.
Great service, good bagels. The everything bagel we ordered was a little tough and over cooked, but the plain bagel was chewy and perfect.

Ordered 3 day ahead of time for our vacation. We were ordering a large order. The order was lost and when we called to check an hour before pick-up, they had to find it. The regular bagels were pretty good. The gluten free bagels were not. It’s almost better to not provide gluten free if it’s not good. It was super dense and grainy. If you use the right flour, you can create really light gluten free items. Price was fine. Edit to reply to response: It wasn’t a catering order. Pick up was Monday at 8:30 am. My mom called to confirm before she drove over. They didn’t know what she was talking about and had to search for the order that I had placed several days before. This was at 7:45 am. They did find the order and it was ready when she got there. If you don’t require pre-ordering for orders of 6 or more, you need to edit your app.

I ordered the bacon, egg & cheese on a garlic bagel, and it was delicious. I loved the garlic bagel, I'm a big garlic girlie 🧄🧄 I wished it was a little more full though, and the only reason I docked a star. But still, it was incredibly tasty. We're only here visiting on vacation, but I'd return if we're ever back here again!

Refered by a family friend. My daughter and her husband picked up several bagel sandwiches plus enough bagels for our crew for the week we visited St. Simons. I tried the tuna melt (very good), and the cheesesteak bagel sandwich… plus various bagels during breakfasts. All were pretty good!
Richard B — Google review
I hate that this was so disappointing. My husband & I really wanted to like this place. We were going to go to McDonald’s for biscuits but we saw Sandy Bottom and said “let’s do the local place instead!” I’m a bagel lover… but these were not it. Their bagels are very dense and they don’t toast them properly to help with texture. I would be interested in taking a couple bagels hope to split & toast them properly, but in the meantime the breakfast sandwich I got was just too bread-y and needed more texture. I really think the quality of their sandwiches could be so easily improved if they would just toast them correctly (re: toast the middle!)
Klaire R — Google review
This place has so much potential, but it’s definitely lacking. it’s a cute little place with a good menu and ok food. Unfortunately, the staff may have been just having a bad day, but my order was incorrect and had a hair in it and my husband mentioned the “toasted” garlic on his sandwich was more burnt than toasted.
Amanda S — Google review
Some of the worst coffee available on the island. It’s absolutely terrible. Do not order a cup of coffee. The bagels selection is fantastic. It’s a perfect place to grab breakfast before the beach. Order ahead using their app, this place can get busy and they make every sandwich fresh.
Pinkandgeek — Google review
I'm going to give this place another try on an upcoming trip to SSI but last time my husband and I agreed that what we got were not bagels. Decent bread maybe, but not bagels.

Iguanas Seafood, situated in the heart of the Village on St. Simons Island, Georgia, is a popular spot known for its delicious seafood offerings. The restaurant prides itself on serving some of the best seafood on the island, using only the finest and freshest ingredients to ensure generous portions served piping hot with favorite sides and garnishes. Additionally, patrons can enjoy unlimited soft-serve ice cream with their meal.
I ordered the shrimp lunch special. The food arrived quickly by cheerful Carol (give her a raise). The food was delicious. My side was a baked potato. You can never go wrong with a baked potato. My meal was topped off with free chocolate ice cream.
S. K — Google review
We go to this area 5-6 times a year, and have been wanting to try Iguanas. We ordered seafood and burgers. As an appetizer, we ordered coconut shrimp. The sauce wasn't great, and the shrimp was worse than most places I have eaten within 200 miles of the coast. The special with the Grouper. The grouper itself was good, and the asparagus was tasty. The rice and whatever was in it tasted like elmer's glue. A couple of different burgers were ordered, and they were cooked correctly, and everyone enjoyed them. Sides were a little disappointing as the Mac n cheese noodles were mushy, and the fries tasted like old fry oil that was used for seafood. The Shrimp Scampi was horrible. Parts of mystery meat was located in the meal and the shrimp was gritty. It was sent back and taken off our bill. The server was on top of things. Always there with a refill when a cup got close to being empty and answered any questions. Way to many other good options in the area to ever go back .

Came here tonight for dinner. Our server Sam was great and very knowledgeable about the menu and made sure to be careful with the shellfish allergy in our party by letting us know the fries were cooked in the same grease as the shellfish. We had the Bacon Burger with a side Ceasar salad, the pick 2 blackened haddock and fried shrimp and fried shrimp with fries, hush puppies and a side house salad. We also ordered the Lava Flow and Piña Colada as drinks. Everything was very tasty. The only thing was some felt the shrimp could have had a bit more seasoning. Otherwise we had a great dining experience. Give this little seaside restaurant a try.

Good casual classic seafood and more from this St.Simons staple. I sat at the bar and received quick, friendly, and genuine service from drinks to food recommendations. The bartender’s recommendations were perfect as I ordered the Barnie B: blackened fish over a bed of grits and a Cajun sauce drizzled atop and it did not disappoint. It also came with a side salad which I devoured with a nice, mellow Caesar dressing. It was a lot of grits, filling too! I saved room for a free ice cream with hot caramel on top. Overall great place, great food, and great staff! I’ll be back to try their famous ribeye.

Great spot. Nice vibe. Tasty eats and a nice beverage list. Fried shrimp was awesome! Wife had the Shrimp and grits! A Bahama Mama that was no joke and a great beer or two! There is a line for a reason!
Randy G — Google review
We were seated quickly, no wait at all, which was a little surprising simce there was almost nowhere close to park (there were two spots open around the side and back when we got there, 7pm on a weekday). The menu selection was ok. Draft beer selection was ok. Food was overpriced and kid shrimp portions weren't very impressive for $14.99 and the kid drinks weren't included in that (drinks for kids were $3.50 each I believe). I had the bacon cheeseburger, it was ok. Another in my party had a Mahi Mahi sandwich which they thought was pretty good. Another kids menu order was the chicken tenders and Id say those were as expected. The total bill for two adults and two kids was just shy of $100 before the tip. Our waitress and server were both attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere was low key and enjoyable but a little lackluster. Overall, I think we've had better food elsewhere on the island. The one saving grace for the kids was the free ice-cream, none of the adults in the party tried it so I'll take the kids' take on it lol. All of the below pictures were taken before anyone took a bite of anything on their plate.

Last weekend me and 3 of my friends went out to eat on SSI for my friends birthdays. We ate at Iguanas, and the building was fairly easy to find because it was in a strip of different places. They serve mainly seafood but they have a few other options like chicken tenders and thats what i got. It was not very experience for me and my boyfriend to both eat. The price was what someone would expect to pay in my opinion. We all dressed up pretty nice since it was for my friends birthday but most of the other people there were just dressed casual. We sat outside so we didn't get to see any of the decor or anything inside but the outside was pretty nice, they had fans and wooden booths for seating. I feel like this restaurant would attract young couples or families on vacation. We went on a saturday night and they were fairly busy but the service was amazing. Our food came out extremely quick and was super hot and fresh when it was served, the waitress we had was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu as well. I feel like the selection on the menu was very reasonable and it was not all over the place. I was also very happy that they had other options then seafood because i am a very picky eater and do not like seafood we just attend this restaurant because that is where my friend chose but i would 100 percent go back. My friend got the shrimp and grits and the portion was huge and she said it was extremely good. My boyfriend got fried shrimp and he said they were also extremely good and he ate all of them which is surprising because he never eats all of his food. The chicken tenders i got were very crispy and cooked just right. They serve lunch and dinner, there hours are 11am-10pm. I definitely recommend coming to iguanas if you are ever in the area!

Had a great meal! Started with the soft, onion focaccia bread. Then a HUGE, slightly peppery caesar salad, and ended with the seafood fettuccine. All were excellent! Only slight negative was that we ordered the mile high peanut butter pie. Good, but far from a mile high. Would definitely eat here again though.

Beautiful views. The service was amazing. Food was great. There was music in the background. We had the fish nachos as an appetizer— highly recommend! The peach sweet tea (not on the menu) was so good! There’s an outdoor area where kids were playing in the grass.

Came here tonight for dinner. Our server JD was very knowledgeable on the menu and attended to our every need. We had the smoked deviled eggs and the Rockefeller oysters. The deviled eggs left something to be desired but the group enjoyed the oysters. For entrees we had the pork chop with broccolini and mashed potatoes, the salmon with rice, the Coastal Cobb salad. We all enjoyed our entrees and took a shrimp and grits to go for another person in our party. We also had some good hot tea as well. Overall, we enjoyed our meals. Give this place a try!

Came for a day trip to enjoy the sunshine. I heard this place was amazing. It absolutely was! I had the fish tacos with truffle fries. 10/10. Probably the best fish tacos ive ever had!! Drinks were pretty good. Service was good for how busy it was! They were working very hard! Ben was awesome. Jordan was sweet. Steve was knowledgeable. There was another girl behind the bar but I didn’t catch her name! She was extremely hard working and kind. Can’t wait to come back! So fun and pretty!

Outstanding service and fun atmosphere. I ate at the bar and everyone was having a great time and very chatty. Great mix of visitors and locals. The ribeye was fantastic served medium rare with great sides.

I ate here with a large group last week for dinner, and it was a great experience. The waitress was very attentive, refilling our drinks and checking in on us often. 5/5 for service. The food was wonderful! The homemade bread and truffle fries were my favorite. I ordered the shrimp and grits as my main and it was very good and very filling. The grits were extra cheesy! The restaurant has a nice view of the beach. There's lot of options to choose from on SSI, but I definitely recommend Echo if you're looking for something that is a step up from casual but not too fancy.

We came for Sunday brunch, but wound up eating from the bar menu. They do not have a cook, they have a stone cold chef! I had the Cobb salad with shrimp and smoked salmon, which was fabulous. One of us had a flatbread was so good. One of us had the fish tacos, amazing. And one of us had the barbecue chicken sandwich, which she just kept on and on and on about how fabulous it was. It had homemade pimento sauce! Just really really good food! Jackie, great waitress and she really took care of us. Great experience.

Brogen's is a long-standing island favorite with two locations on St. Simons Island, Brogens North and Brogens South. The original restaurant, Brogens South, offers a laid-back atmosphere and stunning ocean views from its open-air dining areas on two levels. It's popular among both locals and tourists for its classic pub grub, including burgers and seafood options.
Loved that it was a chill restaurant/bar with a water view! It was super relaxed, staff was friendly, loved the live singer, and food was great. I got the cheeseburger and fries and they were delish!

Came at 6:30 on a Saturday night and it was a long wait but once we were sat the service was very quick. It took about 25 minutes from when we ordered until we had our food. They don’t do lettuce wrapped burgers but you can ask for no bun with extra lettuce on the side. The vibes were there but the food was lacking. Just nothing special.

Nice place for lunch. We ordered chicken tenders with fries, shrimp salad on croissant and mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. We came around lunch time on a Saturday. There was a 29 minute wait for inside seating. The service was very good and the food wasn't bad at all. It was very busy and loud inside.

We had a great visit here. I was a little disappointed that the options were a shrimp meal or a sandwich for seafood, but my blackened fish sandwich was good. The sweet potato fries weren't my favorite but weren't bad. The coleslaw was very strong with onion (I loved it but my wife wasn't a fan). Price was on point, service was friendly, and the view was amazing. Biggest downside was all the Georgia swag but I suppose that's to be expected.

Ember Farm to Fire is a delightful culinary destination that invites you into a world of globally-inspired flavors and cozy ambiance. With its locally-crafted wood-fired oven, Ember enhances the taste of each dish with beautiful charring and delicate smoky notes. The menu is ever-changing, showcasing fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers and fishermen while drawing inspiration from Italian, French, and Southern cuisines.
Ember - Farm to Fire My son brought me to Ember as part of my Christmas gift and I must say it is in the top running for best gift ever. We did have reservations and they are easy to make on their website. We arrived during one of their live music events so we got entertained while eating this amazing meal. The set up is pretty unique, when you walk in you see their amazing wood oven and it definitely caught my eye. It’s beautiful and functional art that helps them create their pizzas. Behind that you get a great view of the kitchen and the rest is the main dining room. To the right is a separate room that is made up of a bar, a pool table, and some lounging couches. To the left of the dining room is the outdoor patio area. This is where we sat. Appetizers was such a tough call. Every single item sounded so delicious. We decided on the meatballs and the bread with black garlic and EVOO. The meatballs were the best I have ever had. They were soft and full of flavor and covered in a homemade marinara. The balance of the sweetness in the sauce was perfect, which is hard to do in a restaurant setting. I find sauces from restaurants too sweet. If Hansel and Gretel were real they would prefer a house made of these meatballs every day! The bread was spectacular. I bake my own bread at home and I was so impressed with the bread. It had the texture and floof of a standard bread loaf but the flavor of a ciabatta. Glazed with butter and topped with flakey sea salt it was absolutely perfect, dipping it in their olive oil with black garlic was out of this world for my taste buds. They may never move on and accept my standard bread recipe now that they had that. When our mains came out I was already feeling full. However, we each ordered the 14 oz steak and I’m not about to bring that home. I’m not sure the picture does it justice. The steak is paired with fingerling potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and all is covered with a sauce, I’m not sure what kind of glitter (metaphorical glitter…magic) they put in that sauce but it was this magical thing, as if a au jus and a Demi-Glacé had a baby. To make things even better I am still confused on the cut of beef it actually was. It had the beautiful flavor and tenderness of a ribeye but without the fat and the muscle texture was even. On the drive home me and my son determined that whatever cow was used it led a happy existence and had to have been extremely relaxed when processed. Somehow I don’t think the farm will change their slogan to reflect that but it was in fact, the best steak I’ve ever had and I can cook a perfect steak. Now the hard part of the meal came, dessert. Every single one sounded amazing but I had already eaten a weeks worth of meat and carbs and my diabetes and fullness did not allow me to even consider another bite. So of course I ordered dessert to go and this morning, when I woke up I had my insulin ready because there was no way I wasn’t going to not eat the fried poundcake with berries and whipped cream to start my day the same way I ended yesterday, with fabulous food. So all that to say, get out and try Ember Farm to Fire. You won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding and interesting dishes, fabulous service....wonderful atmosphere.... absolutely can't wait to return! Huge beverage selection as well as apps/main dishes/sides... We thoroughly enjoyed the chicharrones, baked brie, and roasted root vegetables, as well as the fish of the day and short rib dishes. WOW! Wish we had made room for dessert! Cannot miss this gem!

I enjoyed the tuna appetizer and the egg roll appetizer. There is a vegetarian entre which is quite nice, but I would say it is an acquired taste and somewhat eclectic. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, although it is somewhat dark. I would come back for the appetizers, although I'm not sure what entree I'd recommend.

We chose this place to have a nice dinner back in August, and we made the right choice. Every dish we had was incredible, and the decor and ambiance were perfection. We were lucky to have the entire back room to ourselves, which was really a shame, because this restaurant is so good it should always be packed. I hope to return the next time I find myself down on the island!

The front door to this restaurant is amazing. It is a portal actually. When outside you are standing in a shopping center. A strip mall that looks like thousands of other strip malls around. Whenever the portal opens and you enter you are transported to a fine dining experience. There is a large beautiful wood fired oven a blaze. The place is so nice it makes me feel under dressed. It is only the staff and customers already seated that we feel comfortable. Our server provided some of the best service we have had on St Simon's. The food was wonderful. We had steak and a pizza of course after seeing that beautiful wood fired oven. The descriptions of the food on the menu was extremely accurate . Everything was first class. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle that is St Simon's this is a great place to go. We cannot wait to come back.

Frosty's Griddle and Shake, a refurbished Dairy Queen, has transformed into a quintessential American burger joint and soda fountain. It offers a laid-back atmosphere for families to indulge in an array of delectable treats. Customers had no complaints as they savored diverse menu options. The corn dog was particularly loved by one patron who even ordered another. The enjoyable experience was enhanced by the presence of lively music, with kids singing along and requesting more.
Decided to grab shakes and fries after a long bike ride and popped into Frosty’s. I’d seen great reviews about their strawberry shake so gave it chance. Wow! Best strawberry shake I’ve ever had, was sad when I slurped the last bit of it. And I’ve never seen a shake straw before but I love super thick shakes so it was perfect!!! My husband’s chocolate shake was incredible also! We got some fries to combat any brain freeze we might encounter. The customer service was awesome also and we managed to get there right at Happy Hour for those shakes! We will be back! Highly recommend!!

Wanted a good burger and decided to try this place out. Didn’t mind the wait, just wanted a good tasting burger. The double burger deluxe I received was far from good. Burger patties were over cooked and dry, not the place for a good burger in my opinion and not worth the $13.00 I paid for it.

I love this place! Such an awesome spot to get a great root beer float. Everything has the 70-80s feel (music, posters, tables). Haven’t tried the food, but I’m sure it’s great. They also have an old sit down arcade machine which I could spend a whole day playing at!

Frostys Came in today after a 2-year hiatus. Hoped the time away would’ve allowed for improvement. Nope. How disappointing. Front of house guys seemed more concerned with their phones than customers. Place was dead. 20 minutes after ordering, I saw our food come up and after a few minutes went up and asked for it. The advertised Frosty sauce was barely present on overcooked frozen burger patty. French fries overcooked. AC unit dripping water on multiple tables and looks like it’s about to fall through ceiling. As we left, we saw at least four meals just waiting in pass through window. $28 for two “deluxe” meals with drinks…. Could’ve got a much better burger experience down the street two blocks. Will do next time. Bummer as it’s the same food and staff quality issues as two years ago. I see other people raving about the burgers… maybe the staff is different on a Sunday, so definitely done go on a Sunday.

The Half Shell SSI is a laid-back eatery offering a mix of seafood and classic American dishes in a maritime-themed setting, complete with an outdoor patio. The family-friendly restaurant boasts a menu highlighting modern coastal fare, with an emphasis on locally sourced seafood, particularly their renowned oyster selection featuring various flavorful preparations. As a party of 2 adults, a teen and a 10 year old, we sat outside under the covered porch. It was a cool evening and perfect weather. The service was top notch! We never wanted for anything and at the end of the meal, our server even brought us a slice of butter cake with vanilla ice cream that had been mistakenly made (no charge for us)! We ordered quite the feast and it was all amazing! The calamari perfectly seasoned, tender; the shrimp ceviche was delicious on the fried wontons; oysters were AMAZING, and such a treat with a Bloody Mary style shooter! For dinner, Blackened Magi cooked to perfection! I highly recommend the grits and the bacon wrapped greens as sides. Even the onion rings were amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting St Simons Island! On the nights we ate elsewhere, we always noticed how busy this place was and it’s for good reason - great prices, great service abs delicious food.

This is a very popular place, and I xan see why. Its located right off of the main strip. They have a rotating selection of catch of the day. (Ours was flounder, which was 39 dollars including crab crusting.) I also ordered a dozen raw oysters. While they were not as big as I hoped, they were plenty and they were delicious. A final thing I ordered was their cake. The menu says that there is a reason its the only dessert, and they don't lie. It melts in your mouth with cakey goodness. I do recommend hitting upthis place if you are visiting. Its definitely worth the trip.

Half Shell was perfect for us wrapping up our beach trip. All the food looked so good it was hard to decide what to choose. After the waitress’s recommendation I got the crab cakes with bacon wrapped green beans and sweet potato fries. My friend got the crab cake BLT with grits and crab bisque. My recommendation: get the crab cakes and for sure the green beans and I enjoyed the grits too! We wrapped up with the gooey cake and my friend loved it too. I was pleasantly surprised with the portions. And like I said there are a lot of options that I think would please anyone. I think this is one of the top places to go in St. Simons.

The service and outside patio was fantastic. Even though the ceviche, my shrimp and grits, and my wife’s Mahi were great, the flounder was very bland. Overall it was a great experience and the food was good. Will definitely come back for the grits.

Cons: - Ceviche portion size was small and there was a lot of lettuce which seemed to be in there to make the dish seem larger - Flounder (catch of the day) was very dry and over cooked - Expensive Pros: - Service was great - Hot sauce and vegetables were great

Place was busy but definitely is worth the wait! My sister recommended it us since she goes to st. Simons a lot but the seafood is great and best thing is the bacon wrapped green beans. Great service and will be back!

Crab house
The Crab Trap is a long-standing canteen and bar on St. Simons Island, offering a rustic nautical atmosphere and serving up a variety of seafood dishes. Established in 1975, this island staple is still owned and operated by the original family. The menu features an array of seafood options such as shrimp, oysters, scallops, crab, and the fresh catch of the day prepared in different ways.
Just two of us on a Tuesday evening. They were very busy but we had no wait. Food was outstanding (try the Blackened shrimp and Blackened scallops)! Location was central to many other things. Parking was available. I highly recommend.

The soup and scallops were good. The fries and chicken my grands had were cold. They weren't busy, so I was quite disappointed. Our server had 2 tables, but we had empty glasses during the meal. The Crab Trap has always been a favorite, but I don't see myself returning. Cost of eating out is too much to get marginal. 😭

We went here while on vacation. The service was great! I was disappointed that the food wasn’t the best. The soup was pretty good. The rock shrimp was overdone. The blackened flounder was rubbery. I’m not sure how I feel about the fries. They were crunchy, but they didn’t have much flavor besides that. The best meal at our table was Cajun shrimp-delish! When I leave a meal and pay almost $60 for one person, I expect it to be better than a Captain D’s type meal. No one in my large group really thought they got their monies worth. The portions were enough, but not extra. No one at my table needed a box. The reviews I read made me expect way more.

We arrived about 6 pm on a Sunday evening, two of us. We were seated immediately in the front dining room and our server greeted us promptly for our drink order. She returned first with our requested water and then with our draft craft beers which were reasonably priced at $5 each. We ordered half dz raw oysters and cup of crab soup first. Oysters were small but tasty and soup was delicious, full of crab meat. We ordered entrees after our appetizers, fried soft shell crabs and the combo plate with blackened scallops and 1 crab cake. Sides were included with the dinners, cole slaw for both, fries on combo, bake potato with crab. We both enjoyed our food. My favorite were the scallops. Nice sear and tender meat. Service was very good. We would go back. Prices were reasonable and servings generous.

Ordered for 3 people to-go for approximately $130. While picking up our food, we checked, and there was no butter/sour cream for upcharged baked potatoes (and they forgot salad, also ordered with upcharge). After pointing out to attendant she said she would get and brought out bag with "butter and sour cream". She also brought the salad. Upon arrival home- we discovered plenty of sour cream but no butter. Additionally, there was no salad dressing with the salad. Seafood was good. Hushpuppies were excellent. Portions were very small for price. Attention to detail for to go order was poor, even after multiple specific requests. Service was friendly, results mediocre. If you order to go, check your order carefully before leaving! Then...double check!

I was slightly disappointed given the recommendations I'd received. The food was good, but the portions were small compared to the prices and the seating was a little cramped. The standout was the service. From hostess that wait staff and even the bus boy, everyone was great.

Felt like an overpriced fast food restaurant. We paid $100 but it was like we were ripped off. Not a lot of food per meal. The seafood was the least tasty thing they gave us. Best things were the hush puppies and fries. I’m happy to pay that much for a meal if it feels like I get a really good meal. This wasn’t it. Disappointed.

Delaney's Bistro is a well-established New American restaurant and bar known for its local seafood, prime steaks, and diverse tapas menu. The executive chef, Tom Delaney, showcases his creativity through 15 to 17 daily specials that range from fresh-caught seafood to unique wild game dishes like elk or antelope. With over 20 years of experience, this vibrant hotspot has become a favorite among both locals and tourists.
I cannot say enough about our experience! We did not have reservations, but we called about half an hour before they opened, and they said they could seat us at the bar when they opened. I am so glad they did, because it was a great experience! Mike took exceptional care of us, his customer service was top notch! Since it was our first visit, we let him take the reins and make all the recommendations. We had the ahi tuna and lobster martini appetizers, bread service, elk chops for our entree, and crème brûlée for dessert. From wine, to the apps, the main course, and then dessert. 10/10 highly recommend, and we were certainly be back on our next visit to the island!

I had the pleasure to eat here for lunch last month. I stayed at a property nearby and was desperate for a good glass of wine (or two). I used Google Maps to find a lunch place with a good wine list - results included Delaney’s Bistro. My experience was great. It was so great I came back the next day for lunch. I tried to come for dinner with my husband but there were no reservations available. For lunch I enjoyed the crab cakes app and curry chicken salad. I started with a glass of bubbly and a Riesling with my meal. The next day I enjoyed the crusted scallops app and the grouper. Two glasses of Riesling. 10/10 for both meals. Lunch each day with gratuity was about $80. If you are in the area I recommend going here. I have no plans to visit the area again which bums me out because I’d love to dine here again.

What an exciting dining experience that began with local friends raving about the food and menu! Each dish at our table for 4 was top- drawer. The veal chop, truffle butter ribeye, fish of the day.. even their launch into dinner with the Mediterranean salad was perfectly composed. We cannot wait to return IF WE CAN SNAG A RESERVATION. And i can't wait to do a featured story about Chef Tom Delaney!

I've been looking forward to visiting Delaneys Bistro for a long time and we were able to get reservations on a Friday night at 6 PM in the bar. My wife and I were greeted friendly and professionally at the door and given an option to set at the bar or at a flattop table in the bar area. We chose the flattop and we're quickly greeted by a server with water and took our drink order. Mike, our server, did an outstanding job with the daily specials (note, there are as many specials as there are menu items). My wife had the filleet and I had the Elk chops. Both were splendid. We finished with the carrot cake and coffee. The atmosphere is upscale and the food and service both stand out as well. Cannot speak enough about the professional service we received. Hats off the Mike and the rest of the staff. We will certainly be returning to Dalaneys Bistro. Highly recommend!! Remember to call well ahead for seating reservation.

Much anticipated anniversary dinner here and we were very impressed with our entire experience. This is a professionally run restaurant with experienced waiters. Our pre dinner drinks and appetizers were amazing (fried green tomato with shrimp and sauce) was perfect. Dinner and wine excellent. Ribeye and veal about the best we’ve had. Asparagus and potatoes excellent. Taste, temperature and appearance perfect. Desert and espresso (chocolate moose and key lime pie) again perfect taste and appearance. We were not rushed and all questions were politely answered. Nice atmosphere, clean and quaint. Prices as expected. Thank you!

J ( — Google review
Very nice. Due to the cost I will be critical, but don't misunderstand; I enjoyed myself very much. The service was prompt. I did not understand the clearing of the plates and forks, then the bringing of the next course before the replacement utensils were brought. This happened between every course. The coffee was okay, it was some kind of pod like coffee maker. A few grounds escaped into the cup, and it had a foam on top. I wasn't looking for a cappuccino. We had escargot, the soup of the day, the veal from the menu, the halibut fish of the day, and the creme brulee. Most of the food was warmish. I did not complain because most of it had really good flavor and was edible for sure. I was not impressed with the escargot and the roquefort cheese sauce. Could not make out any rookford flavor. White wine garlic and butter I think would have been my preference. The asparagus and potatoes were on point, but like I said, just warm. The creme brulee was wonderful, but I've never understood serving an edible garnish That you must remove the inedible part before you eat it. Especially when you're talking about the green on a strawberry and the dessert is not served with a knife so you were left picking at it with your fingers and trying to remove it with a spoon. But, with the strawberry it lent a wonderful slight fruity taste in just a hint of sour to an otherwise fantastic dessert. Don't misunderstand, I will go back again and fully intend on enjoying myself. I will recommend this place to others, but when you pay $150 for two people to eat, including tip, you expect perfection.

We stopped in on Saturday after visiting relatives on the island and although it was a holiday weekend (Independence Day) we only waited a short time (less than 30 minutes) to be seated at 6:30 in the evening. We ordered the Spinach Dip and it was very good - although maybe a couple extra pieces of bread would be helpful - ran out of bread before dip. We had the Holy Shitake Pie and oh my it was delicious!

I stopped here for an afternoon snack because I had heard of this restaurant but had never had the chance to go to one. The spinach artichoke dip was AMAZING. The portion ratio to the bread was great and it was so creamy and smooth. It was the best I had ever had anywhere!!!! WOW, These donuts are heavenly! The glazed donut was perfection. The cinnamon roll was exceptional. The sticky buns were out of this world. The "Cat Head" ( jalapenos, cheddar, bacon and scallions) biscuit was phenomenal. The line can get very long, so get there early. You will not be disappointed.

Watched this in a video somewhere back in 2022 and stopped by one morning on my bike. Needless to say, this is a staple of our family beach trip each year. They open at 7, GET THERE EARLY if you want to sit inside and enjoy the vibes! The service is second to none, and every time I am inside I feel Inspired to open my own breakfast business one day. TIP: GET THE MAPLE BACON DONUT. You won’t regret it. They usually have a few staples (like chocolate and strawberry) but they often do other unique kinds of donuts. If I could give it six stars, I would!

We had to wait in line for about 40 minutes, with two small kids, but it was honestly so worth it! We all shared 6 donuts, plus one bacon, egg & cheese on a brioche bun, and I got a brown sugar iced latte for myself. The raspberry Berliner was the best raspberry jelly I've ever had, and ergo, the best raspberry donut I've ever had. Everything was amazing though!

The donuts are ahhhmazing! Tried a vanilla creme filled and apple of my chai. Both were delicious. The box felt really heavy for just 2 donuts, but the donuts themselves were light, airy and just sweet enough. The apple of my chai was my favorite, the frosting or whatever was piped on top....pretty sure I heard angels singing when I took a bite. OMG!! If you haven't, definitely try them. You won't be sorry! Can't wait to try the pistachio creme next visit 😍 😋🤤

I would say, whenever I placed my order online, it's well organized and the employees were super nice. With that being said, I love a good cinnamon roll and this one wasn't it. It was overly cooked on top and still a little doughy in the middle. The icing was very thin, perhaps it's suppose to be a glaze, I'm unsure and the icing didn't cover the entire cinn roll. It just wasn't well made on this particular day. My co-workers suggested for me to try Sweet Mama's cinnamon roll. I will keep you guys posted on that review. I will give Ducle Dough another try because my ham biscuit was tasty, next time I will ask for extra ham.

The restaurant's full bar serves beer, wine, and popular dishes like the mahi fish sandwich and fried catfish alongside non-seafood options and appetizers.
I had the catfish with mac and cheese, a side salad, and hush puppies—and let me just say, everything was incredible. The catfish was huge—honestly the biggest I've ever seen—and it was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and even the salad was fresh and flavorful. But the hush puppies? Hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Our server, Audrey, was also amazing—so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. She made the experience even better. 4 of us came here 3 times during our stay and it quickly became a favorite for us. However, in all my life we have never been treated so rudely by the waitress on our 3rd visit. She basically told us we shouldn't be sitting at the table that the host told us to sit at. She continued to argue with us when we tried to tell her we were there two other nights and sat at the same table without incident. Robin the waitress that night who we will call "Karen" went in to report us to the manager. to make things worse, the manager acted the same way and followed up by saying, but it's ok, you can stay. Who would stay after that? We closed our bill and left. What should have been done was NOTHING. The manager should've told the waitress it was a mix up on their part and just let it go. They cost themselves customers. Planned to have a nice dinner there tomorrow night but w certainly won't be after this.

Food lacks any flavor. For almost $30 a plate I would at least expect some sort of seasoning or even butter on grilled shrimp. The only saving grace was the amount of flavor on the brussel sprouts. But no where near able to save the rest of the experience. The fried shrimp even completely lacked seasoning. And someone needs to check the water. Tasted straight out of the ocean.

We were a group of 15, and our server handled everything like a champ! Drinks, appetizers, mains, everything came out correct, and she followed up with us each time asking if we needed anything. I wish I had gotten her name, but forgot to ask and just enjoyed the night. Food was great too, many of us got local seafood choices, while others had salads or chicken. It was all really good and timely with a group our size. Highly recommend for great service, good food and drinks too!

I recently visited Palm Coast Coffee on St. Simons Island, and I must say, it’s a delightful spot for any meal of the day! Whether you're looking for a cozy brunch, a satisfying lunch, or a pleasant dinner, this place has got you covered. The atmosphere is inviting, with lovely indoor seating that feels homey, and when the weather permits, the outdoor seating is just perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco. Every dish I tried was flavorful. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It’s evident that the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. Food was amazing- best we’ve had on the island this trip. The bread service with butter candle was yum and so fun. We can attest that the Sea Bass and Shrimp & Grits were great. The service was a little slow but we understand that they have to go downstairs to get some items and it was nothing that would keep us from going back. Great atmosphere as well!

I would describe our meal here as "interesting." We had reservations through Opentable. We were drawn to the location obviously because of the views of the ocean. Our reservation time was around sunset, so it was beautiful. The service and staff were attentive but not the best and maybe seemed confused about the restaurant itself. Perhaps it was new staff. The bread service was the most unique we have had anywhere. The bread was delicious, but the butter candle lighting was not done well and was quite an experience. We liked the okra appetizer, but one of them was not edible. Entrees were very salted and could be nice for some, but it was too much for us. Overall, we feel like there is so much potential with just a few improvements to service and food.

We had a group of 9 girls on a Saturday… they had some phenomenal music guest playing that were so kind. Our food was incredible and all of the service was top notch. We sat at our tables at around 6:15 It took over 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and while they initially said the drinks were on the house (which I appreciated), the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing. I didn’t receive my food until around 8:20 PM — and meanwhile, five of my friends who were seated at a separate table nearby (with a different server) never got their food at all. When my meal finally arrived, I found what very clearly looked like a bug or insect pupa in it. I’ve attached a photo — it had body segments and legs. The manager came over and said, “I’m not trying to be rude, but at the end of the day we’re outside,” as if that somehow made it acceptable. She said the meal would be comped, which I appreciated. But then the server came back to charge me for the meal anyway. I told her the manager had said it would be comped due to the bug. The server denied it was a bug, claiming it was a “green,” but took the check back. On top of all that, the rest of the food we received was extremely salty, which just added to the disappointment. Between the unacceptable delays, the bug in my food, my friends being completely forgotten, the attitude from the staff, and the poor quality of the food, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I left feeling disgusted and disrespected.

There were good and not so good parts of our dining experience- Let's start with the good- the waitress who I'm not sure ever gave us her name was nice and accomidating- at first however after receiving our food she did not check on us and we waited quite some time to ask for dessert and check- The food- We ordered the charcuterie board for an appetizer. It was good and had a good amount of variety on it- I had the catfish and got mashed potatoes and broccoli instead of what was listed- delicious except for the broccoli - wasn't couldn't long enough- My husband had the ribeye dinner- steak was one of the best we've had - I don't normally like steak let alone cooked medium but I tried it and it was awesome! We ordered the peach shortcake dessert- it was ok- the main problem was we waited over 30 minutes to get it and when asked what was taking so long we were told by the hostess they had just sat a large table and that our dessert would be out soon- we then proceeded to wait another 10-15 mins for the dessert - and for a fine dining restaurant this dessert fell a little short of our expectations- Overall, the food was good however, there are definitely room for improvement. My biggest issue was with the timeliness of the service also to be noted, which may be important to some they do not offer military discount/ I would eat there again, however a biscuit with peaches and ice cream should not take 45 minutes to come out regardless of how busy a establishment is-

We had the 18 oz ribeye and the shrimp and grits. We also had an appetizer of fried shrimp. The shrimp and grits were fantastic, definitely the star of the show. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Service was excellent.

We recently hosted an engagement dinner here for my son and his soon-to-be wife, and it could not have been more perfect. Emily helped us arrange a reservation for 30 people and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right—from the table setup to the food accommodations (our family doesn’t eat pork, and she made sure everything was tailored to that). The view from the rooftop was absolutely breathtaking, and the ambiance was unmatched. There was even great music that added to the already magical atmosphere. Everyone raved about the food—seriously, it was amazing! Thank you to Emily and the entire team for making this such a special evening for our family. When I return to Saint Simons Island, this will always be my first stop. Highly recommend!

Chef Matt did an amazing job the food was outstanding. Amazing appetizers entrees and desserts. A group of 10 women on a retreat had the best time. Our server was the manager Sherenna. She was amazing from the start. Personality, the best service ever. She was awesome. The live music , beautiful atmosphere, and service made the best experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Sandcastle Café is a laid-back restaurant that offers American cuisine and seafood for breakfast and lunch, featuring a morning buffet. Despite the limited seating due to COVID-19 restrictions, the friendly service and delicious food make it worth a visit. Guests have enjoyed dishes like Smoked Salmon Benedict, Island Mimosa with pineapple juice and coconut, crab cake Benedict, country eggs, pancakes, bacon eggs with French toast, waffles with strawberries and cream, cold brew coffee with sweet cream, and flounder sandwich.
Super friendly service and great value breakfast. Brunch buffet is on weekends only The country eggs were tasty and the pancakes had the perfect texture, the right balance of fluff and chew.

An underwhelming visit. Referred by a different local business just a few doors away, we went in for breakfast. Missed the breakfast window, but caught the brunch/lunch menu. The service was painfully slow and the cooks nearly matched that pace. While served in cute little cups, the coffee lacked strength or flavor. After one eternity of waiting, the food was delivered. The price to quality doesn't match in my opinion. Lucky for you, it's my opinion. If you're looking to try a new place, this might be the spot, or it might not. I'll likely pass on a repeat visit.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with family. Arrived as soon as they opened and were seated right away. Wait was long by the time we left. Looked like only 6 tables were open inside due to COVID. Atmosphere is a little “meh”. Our waitress was very sweet and on top of things. My wife and I shared the Smoked Salmon Benedict and it was good. My wife also loved the Island Mimosa with pineapple juice and coconut. My mother-in-law had the crab cake Benedict and it was a little better than ours. The salmon was slightly fishy tasting. I would get the crab cake next time. My wife’s waffle was delicious and the coffee was wonderful. My 8-year-old niece said her scrambled eggs were delicious and others said the pancakes and bacon were great. Very good experience. We would return!

Small plate with bacon eggs and French toast was $6 and it tasted great and was a great price. Also the buffet isn't bad either. The waffle with strawberries and cream is delicious too!

An okay option among the village Cafes, first of all a cafe without actual coffee options shouldn’t be called a “Cafe”. Black coffee was served on a to go cup. Interesting menu options but unfortunately our food wasn’t tasty and was a bit cold. Went at a peak hour so waiting time for our food was about 35 minutes. Service was good

The breakfast buffet is delicious and well-priced (I recommend the cheese grits and breakfast casserole!), and the atmosphere is very inviting. But what really makes this place great is the service; all of the staff and management are incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming -- it feels like eating at a relative's house. Really just an overall wonderful little cafe. A must-visit everytime I'm in town.

Pretty good! We came last year and had the all you can eat breakfast, which was stellar and we did not forget! We came for lunch today and my one eyed bacon cheeseburger on a croissant was the bomb! My husband got a patty melt which he did not love so he are half of my burger (which was huge!) We will definitely be back just not for the party melt.Great 😊

The menu features raw, steamed, and baked oysters available at a special price from 4-6 PM daily. The restaurant provides both outdoor and indoor seating options for guests to enjoy their meals.
Jannie served us and was the sweetest most patient person. She was slammed and we had a big group and she never faltered with attitude and professionalism. The bartender Jason and thefood runner Kathleen also were very helpful to my difficult group. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The food was phenomenal and extremely fast regardless of how busy it was. 10/10 will come back

Mixed reviews on the food. Casual place with what looked to be a fair number of locals coming in after we arrived around 545 on a Sunday. They handled small children well and appeared to be dog friendly at the outside seating. Happy hour (till 6) worked to our advantage with buck a shuck oysters (although a little small). Fried oysters were good, the slaw was very good, but the shrimp and grits were soupy and overly salted. The hush puppies had little flavor. The burger was ordinary and light on the cheese. The service was good for us but the place was not busy until we were leaving.

The worst dining experience we’ve had. We arrived after the lunch rush, and while talking to the hostess to check in for a table a server carrying a drink couldn’t be more annoyed that my toddler wasn’t moving fast enough to get out of her way to deliver the beverage outside. There’s a handful of tables in there and a few open, she tells us it’s a 30 minute wait. That’s fine, we go kill some time outside. She calls and sits us at the same table that’s been available since we first got there. Okay, maybe they’re short staffed- I used to work in restaurants so I get it. Upon ordering crab legs we find out they are out of crab legs (the entire reason we chose this place was for that) The tables have dwindled down and we are one of just a few eating, but our food still takes an hour to get out The bathrooms are filthy and smell like urine The combo platter was rotten. My husband had scallops on a plate for the toddler and told me to taste it beforehand bc the one he just ate tasted off. It was still raw. I grabbed a shrimp to taste instead and the smell of it made my stomach turn. I ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up sick shortly after leaving. I just assume my chicken and his seafood were cooked together since they were both blackened. The platter was comped, our server was apologetic over the experience.

Please don’t eat here. Beer recommendation was not good, the fish dip app came out after the food and was just a block of cheese melted w some fish, hardened right up so we couldn’t eat it. Ordered the boil, then was told they’re out of sausage and the crab was extra. Idk it didn’t hit for us and I had high hopes

I had a good chat with the owner while checking out his fish tanks of sea life, really neat experience to come across an owner and heart of the business and have a good conversation, it was late so he also made his way to our table to conversate with my husband and teenage daughter. The food was great, but came out 20 minutes apart from my other family members food... The owner said he is working on his kitchen staff with proper timing, and unfortunately the food timing and lateness is the only complaint I have for them.I hope the owner reads this,so he understands he's got a great thing going. But for someone who waits an hour between husband and daughters dinners coming out when there is an empty restaurant around us and the owner is making good conversation, instead of apologizing and offering my husband a free beer you should have comped my no meat salad that took an hour and a half to make.

Such a disappointment for our last dinner while in Saint Simons. There were not a lot of people in the restaurant, but we were seated in that bar area. Finally the hostess came to check on us and sent a waitress over to take orders. We had been there long enough to know what we wanted for dinner, but we were not given that option. Drinks ordered with some starters. The beer took a while and the soup came out one at a time. The dozen baked oysters came out six at a time. All of these items were delicious and we got to eat in shifts. When my main course - conch fritters came out, the outside was burnt, and the in side was not fully cooked. Again all this food came out in shifts, so some of us were waiting for others to finish eating. We have eaten here before- and were very disappointed this time around.
Tracy W — Google review
The food was amazing. Rudy is an amazing oyster shucker and a very personable man. The guy that sat near us at the bar was trying to start trouble so we didn't get much time there to enjoy our afternoon. He obviously was a regular and intoxicated. It could have been handled better but instead the bartender allowed us to leave without hesitation. Very sad that it had to come to that because it was our first time there.
Lisa S — Google review
We sat for nearly 2 hours and never received most of our food. The excuse was people were ahead of us and the kitchen is backed up. That is understandable but customers sitting in the restaurant ready to pay and eat should be first priority. Our waitress was amazing though this was not her fault at all, again she was great. Management obviously has zero control over the kitchen and this needs to be addressed.

There’s an ice cream shop in the back, as well as an adjoining candy and souvenir shop. It’s a short walk from the lighthouse, so be sure to stop by for an after-meal treat!

Great Location!! Easy to find and lots to look at in the store… Really liked walking around looking at the shop and some of the nostalgic stuff in there. As an Ice Cream Expert that travels the country looking for good ice cream, I have to say that this place is hitting the mark. I tried quite a few flavors and my favorites were the Pralines and Cream, Banana Pudding and Peach Cobbler. I am a huge lover of pecan pie, but I was disappointed with their Pecan Pie ice cream (the base fell flat with little flavor, you only got flavor from the actual chunks of pecan pie). 😞 The waffle cone was nice and crispy! One thing I am big on is customer service. I believe in making a first and lasting impression. The girls behind the counter were great and pleasant but this place gets busy (line out the door) and there was only one girl scooping ice cream. The 2 other girls were filling spoons and such (my recommendation would be to have them jump in to serve the customers first). Overall I think this place is a must stop if you are anywhere near St. Simons, GA. Keep serving smiles with America’s favorite!!!!

This has to be the main candy shop on the strip. They have so many candies and baked goods. I haven't even heard of some of these things before! Some items aren't priced up front like jelly beans and fudge, but most other items do have price per lb or half lb. There are also novelty/gimmicky things like giant gummy snakes and sour pickles.

Absolutely terrible! Pizza was supposed to be done at 6:45. Upon arrival they told us 7:15 but it would probably be more like 20 minutes. We waited a half hour past our pickup time for a raw pizza. $62 worth of pizza went straight to the trash!

Vacationed on St. Simon’s Island from Bristol, Tennessee! I travel a lot and go to plenty of different restaurants so I can truthfully say this place is authentic, clean, and AMAZING! Our waiter Arthur was truthfully the sweetest and kindest soul. Arthur made sure we had our drinks filled, food at a timely manner, and the people coming in had their to-go orders the time they showed. Arthur, buddy. One day that resultant will be yours & I hope I get to watch your passion succeed and soar as you get older! Thank you again.

This pizza is so good that I planned a vacation just to eat here again after 16 years. The food held up. When I took that first bite of cheesy bread, I was instantly transported back to my childhood. The decor is still as fun as I remembered it. Overall, this is a unique restaurant with great food. I can't wait until I can eat it again!

CJ’s Italian Restaurant on Saint Simons Island was amazing! The food was some of the best Italian I’ve ever had, the restaurant was spotless, and the family atmosphere made it even better. Our waiter Arthur was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. You can tell Arthur really cares about his guests, and we appreciated that. Thank you, Arthur, for making our night at CJ’s so great!

We have been coming for years! Always great food! Tonight was so disappointing without the owners there. Pasta served on a pan full of olive oil that I had to literally drain onto another plate. The over cooked pasta was burned by reheating in the pizza oven. Again when I politely mentioned it I was immediately dismissed and told this is how it is and the 1/2 inch of olive oil was from the pesto sauce. He did not even offer to fix or comp me. I paid and on the way out watched him throw the phone after he announced a customer was calling about becoming ill after eating their pasta. To the owners, careful who represents you when you are not there…a reputation can be easily ruined.

For those in search of delectable and smooth frozen treats, Moo Cow Ice Cream is the ideal destination. This establishment offers a wide variety of flavors to satisfy every palate. While their Black Cherry flavor stands out as a crowd favorite, they also cater to more adventurous taste buds with unique options like Basil. Open late into the evening, Moo Cow Ice Cream ensures that no vacation is complete without indulging in some creamy goodness.
We are always looking for places that make their own ice cream when we travel. Home made flavors are by register, we decided to try mint chocolate chip and vanilla cherry and those two were not ones made directly by them but they were DELICIOUS! We are not local but hope to be back!

Right next door to the best fried chicken and shrimp place on St. Simon's Island is a cute and quaint ice cream shop named Moo Cows ice cream. Situated in an old-school filling station and garage, Moo Cows serves up some tasty cold cream flavors from Hershey's with a few of their own home churned concoctions. The Salty Turtle was my flavor of choice, and it really hit the spot to put out the fire of the hot shrimp Po Boy sandwich I just had. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. 😍😋

The reviews were all good for this small place on St Simons so we gave it a try. Turned off immediately by the difficult parking situation. The line to get in was short and efficient. Everything was fantastic even the staff especially our waitress!!! Nancy was pleasant and introduced my wife to the chocolate swirled cheesecake. The only complaint i would are the drinks the bartender was making.. maybe ease up on the club soda some..both of my drinks tasted more of club soda for what ordered. Overall I would recommend this facility....it was great!
Jammel W — Google review
We stumbled upon Frederica House after attempting to dine at another local restaurant that closed early for a private event and we’re so glad we did! This place certainly caters to a mature crowd. The friendly folks seated with us at the bar told us they would refuse to go there for years until they were also “old”. My husband is in his 50s and I’m in my 30s. We wouldn’t have noticed the older crowd had someone not pointed it out. The rustic atmosphere is charming. You don’t see much of that on the island, so it was a fun change of pace. It reminded us of one of our favorite family-owned restaurants back in Virginia, where we moved here from. The highlights - The broiled scallops are incredible and very lightly seasoned, which I liked. I’ve eaten a lot of Georgia shrimp since I’ve been here and I wasn’t crazy about their broiled shrimp. It wasn’t bad. It’s just a personal preference. My husband had it fried and enjoyed it. Next time, I’ll just get the scallops. The cheese grits were great. My husband said the fried oysters were the best he’s had since we moved here! Standard cocktails. Nothing fancy. Beer is cold with frosted mugs, which is a nice plus. Last but not least, don’t skip dessert. Get the chocolate peanut butter pie. You won’t regret it. My husband doesn’t even like chocolate and he devoured it. We’d come back just for this!

The story on the cover of the menu wxplaining the wood walls was very interesting. Our server was great and everything came out quickly and correct. The fried shrimp was our favorite. We also tried fried scallops and chicken alfredo. The breadstick that came with the pasta was really yummy.

Started with the Seafood Gumbo - wonderful! A bit spicy for some but I loved it. Scallops were likely breaded and cooked perfectly. Hamburger steak came with plenty of mushrooms. Filet was charred and a bit overcooked Would not order this again.

Celebrating my wife's 32 years with the Civil Service and visiting my mom I wanted to give the Frederica House a try. Our waitress Lisa was wonderful, she brought out our drinks and a bowl of hush-puppies while we made our decision, the hush-puppies are very delicious. Both my wife and son wanted the Alaskan King crab legs but they were out of them. So after a quick review of the menu again, my wife ordered steak-n- scallops and a house salad. My son ordered a 8oz filet, baked potato and carrots (he wanted green beans but they was out of them also). My Mom went with the 6oz petite filet, baked potato and house salad. I had the 14oz NY strip house salad and cheese grits. My wife said her scallops need to be more seared on both sides and her steak was bland with no seasoning (she asked for steak sauce). Both My mom and son was in the same boat with their meals stating the steak needed seasoning. With that said their steaks were all cooked the way they ordered them. I ordered my NY strip blackened so it was flavorful and cooked just right. Lisa surprised my wife with a slice of cheese cake and congratulated her for her 32 years of service. Since she had dessert we also ordered Key lime pie, chocolate and peanut butter pie and chocolate brownie with ice cream. The meal in a whole was good, some seasoning on the steaks during cooking would have went a long way.

Don't let the looks of this place fool you! Such a cool vibe and delicious food, served hot! We came for a late lunch so it was pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If there's one thing I really appreciate, it's my food being served hot. We both got the 2 meat plate and you get 2 sides. My husband got brisket and ribs with Mac and cheese, and sweet potato tots. I got ribs and pulled pork with delicious, flavorful, and meaty baked beans, and Brunswick stew. The stew was wonderful and so hot I almost burned my mouth on the first bite. We both enjoy bbq and this food is up there with the best. Bravo! 👏👏

Ribs were really tender & meaty. The rub was very good. Maybe slightly too salty but I like salt anyway. Baked beans were delicious!! They had little crunchy bits of green pepper in them along with a little pulled pork. I surprisingly really liked the crunchy pepper in it. The Pulled pork was super tender and not fatty at all! The Cole slaw was also a win!! Definitely the way we like our slaw! Fresh, creamy and simple. The Brunswick stew was very yummy too. It was my first time having it, so I don't have any other to compare it to, yet.... The young man that took our order was patient and helpful in deciding what to order. Nestled within the vibrant Longview shopping center at 307 Longview Plaza Drive, Tara Thai & Sushi is a charming eatery that beckons diners to enjoy its inviting atmosphere. Guests can choose between cozy indoor seating or bask in the fresh air on the colorful patio adorned with cheerful red umbrellas. This unique spot stands out as St.
We looked for a sushi spot in St. Simon’s Island to go to on our day trip, and landed on Tara’s. I’m not the biggest sushi fan, but I LOVE Thai food, so this was the perfect spot for us. My partner and son got sushi, which they said was really good. I got the drunken noodles, and our 5 year old got chicken and rice. I should point out that they do not have a kids menu, so we had to order a regular portion of rice, and then bring the rest home. Totally fine with me, because I was the one who got to eat it the next day 😁 The drunken noodles were amazing, as well as the rice that I tried the next day. I was too hungry to take a photo of our cream cheese wonton appetizer, but it was some of the best wontons I’ve had. Our server was great as well and memorized our large order without writing it down! Highly recommend! **Sushi pictured is Tempura Shrimp, Sakura, 911, and Broken Heart.

I honestly can't rave enough about this restaurant! It was so good that I had to order the same meal to go. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the pineapple curry fried rice with no egg and the spring rolls...AMAZING! 😍 If I ever visit St. Simon Island again this will definitely be my first stop. I'm so happy to leave a positive review about this restaurant. Between the hostess/server and the bartender...superb ladies!

The Thai food at this restaurant is not authentic; it's Americanized and should be avoided. The one positive aspect was the excellent service from our waitress. Thai food is usually a safe choice among Asian cuisines, but this place somehow missed the mark. The "Drunken Noodles" were overly sweet, a stark departure from the typical savory and spicy profile. The noodles were also undercooked and tough, so I couldn't even finish the dish. The Tom Yum Goong soup was more savory than sour, which completely defeats the purpose of the soup. It seems they've Americanized their food and cut corners, failing to provide an authentic dining experience to the locals.

Super tasty food here. Always tastes fresh. The Volcano Chicken is one of our favorites to get. As a sushi fan myself, I tried the Broken Heart Roll today and it was incredible. Would certainly recommend!

Huge shout out to our girls who make the best drink!!!! Nicole, Courtney and Lindsey. Also, the sushi here is the best on planet earth!! Shout out to Yo, Apple and Matt. If you have never tried this place, make sure you do. Service is amazing and the food is just as good.

The folks that work here care about the folks who choose to eat here! The drinks are wonderful and the food is awesome. I am a local and I can share that this place is a hidden gem on Saint Simons. The sushi is underrated and the fry folks are all stars as well. Try it and you will thank me

Great local spot to get some good Thai food. Warming Massaman curry with adjustable heat level and served with rice. Thai fried rice is crave-able and delicious. Also ordered cream cheese rangoons which were good but may try another app next time. Quick and kind service. Plenty of parking.

Would always recommend! We had dumplings as appetizer and 4 different sushi rolls. Everything was absolutely fresh and tasted fabulous. The different kinds of rolls we chose paired up well and we were 100% satisfied. The waiter was very friendly, always at hand, but never in our business which made us feel very comfortable. Very clean place and nice people. Thank you for the great experience.

Open seven days a week, this cozy shop has been delighting customers with its delicious aromas and flavorful offerings for the past 8 years. Great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service! The coffee was rich and flavorful, perfectly brewed. The shop itself was clean and cozy, making it a great spot to relax or get some work done. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a great experience. Definitely a place worth visiting!

I can’t visit St. Simons Island without stopping by Wake Up Coffee Company several times during my stay. They offer a well-rounded selection of hot and cold coffee drinks, along with a small but excellent assortment of bakery items. The scones, muffins, and power balls are all top-notch. Yes, it’s a little pricey — but most good coffee shops are these days. It’s absolutely worth it.
Russell C — Google review
A decent enough shop. The latte (caramel) I had was a bit too acidic for my taste, but my friends liked their drinks (mocha, rasp. honey vanilla). We had to stand in line for about 15 minutes to order and wait another 10 for our drinks. Most of the syrups and pastries are made in house, which is nice. I was going to try a danish, but they sold out while I was in line. I don't know if I would go back on my own to be honest.

This is my go to coffee place whenever we visit the island. I get a bag of The Whistler blend ground to brew at the house. It has such a unique flavor, strong but not bitter. They always have cool t-shirts and mugs available as well.

Genuinely one of the BEST lattes I’ve ever had. Went back second day while on vacation and got an iced latte instead of a hot one & it was incredible. The staff were also super sweet as well even though it was quite busy the second day. Super efficient and kind. Definitely the best place to get coffee on the island.

I was on the hunt for some delicious hibachi and sushi and I came to the right place!! Prices are a little higher than normal but definitely worth it, the staff was super friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. There’s kind of limited seating so if you go when they are busy you will have to wait 10-20 mins and there’s also outdoor seating.

My family are sushi snobs. And this was way better than we thought expected! Great service, roll were fresh, and the broth soup was on point. Very surprised at the reasonable pricing in retrospect. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience. The food came out quickly and was great! We ordered a few different rolls and appetizers, and each one was awesome. Don't think there's a bad choice on the menu. The servers were friendly and amazing, and had great recommendations. Could not be happier with our choice to go eat here!!

Well, what can I say. I was impressed. I didn’t expect much of it but the food was outstanding. Service was 5 stars. You might be wondering why the service was 5 stars? I’ll tell you, the servant remember all of the 7 orders, modicum rare, well done etc. no note pad notes. Anyways, food, service and prices were beyond my expectations. 5 stars !

Best sushi on the island. We enjoy the Brunswick location and decided to check this one out. We were hoping for some variation in the menu from the BWK location, but it’s about the same. It’s a little loud inside when it’s busy, but the atmosphere is definitely better than the BWK location. Service was good, but not great. We’ll definitely visit again.

the server was very nice but this was genuinely the worst sushi and hibachi we’ve ever had. my bf and i had to french both of our meals in white sauce just to make it edible. would not recommend this place to anyone

We called for a big dinner to-go for a family of seven. The staff was friendly, and they prepared food on time despite being super busy. From appetizers to main dishes, from cold food to hot food, there was nothing you could complain about. WE LOVE THEM ALL! Even our dad, who doesn’t eat seafood, found something else he likes on the menu. The price for this type of good-quality Japanese food is also terrific. For example, seven pieces of fresh sashimi cost less than $12! What a good deal! Highly recommend!
Tracy ( — Google review
I have eaten here 6 times in the last 2 months. The staff is friendly and courteous from the start, and they want to make sure everything is as you ordered and that you enjoyed the food. They bring you a complimentary bite of the Eddy Special, which is tempura battered crab with a delicious sauce over the top. They also give you complimentary house soup which had broth, mushroom and the crunchies from tempura. We enjoyed it so much we ordered a full roll! They have a great selection of standard rolls $5; 2nd tier rolls $9.75 and specialty rolls for $12.75. This is a great option for whatever price point you want stay in. I have had rolls from all 3 options, and they were crafted with the same care and expertise. I love the spicy crab salad, and the Lucky Dragon roll is my usual! I have also ordered the chicken hibachi with fried rice that was delicious., although I wish they had hibachi noodles. They offer multi roll deals and have a lunch menu too.

Most Mexican restaurants fall within a certain level, good but not great. Chili peppers is one of the rare Mexican restaurants that takes it to the next level. The menu is not much different than your classic American "cheap Mexican "restaurant but the service and food is exceptional. The margaritas are great. They have somehow figured out how to turn ground beef into a five star item. They must cook it all day because we cannot figure out how to replicate the taste . When friends come to town they always want to go somewhere unique like a seafood restaurant, but we like taking friends to chili peppers because it's so damn good .

I’m a first-time visitor, and I had an amazing time! Trey, our bartender, suggested the potato chip skillet with these house made kettle chips, and it was absolutely incredible! It was the best appetizer I’ve had in ages. I highly recommend this place - the drinks and food are both outstanding.

The food was amazing. The fish tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. The brussel sprouts and beet hummus were delicious. Great service with friendly staff. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Gets fairly busy so plan accordingly. Recommend the beer cheese with pretzels appetizer - a perfect accompaniment to an IPA.

We went our first night on the island since it was recommended and enjoyed the fish tacos, burger and beer. Ended up going again our last night on the island because it was so good. The food and beer were great again. Consistently good food and not overly priced with great beer selection.

This was a very cute location with beautiful plants and decorations. We were met immediately by the host and sat rather quickly. We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer, so warm and delicious. As a group we ordered shrimp cakes, caeser salad, fish tacos, and a few drinks such as vodka and cranberry. The food was good, the atmosphere was a little overwhelming just due to the size of parties and the amount of room available. There was a Bachelorette party, families, and couples. There is also outside seating available.
Parker S — Google review
This was a great choice for our first night on the island. The beer was great and the food was excellent. The fresh catch was Mahi, so the fish and chips and the fish tacos were made with delicious Mahi! The beet salad fulfilled my cravings for beets, and the added blackened chicken was perfect!!
Janette B — Google review
Had a flight of their house made beers. The wheats and IPA were all good. I liked the blueberry wheat best, it was subtler than I expected. The brussel sprouts were great, interesting sauce instead of the standard balsamic reduction or glaze. The fish sandwich was grouper and tasted great. Good shoestring fries topped off the meal. The restaurant is well decorated and there's a great outfit seating area as well.

We visited for the first time during Christmas week, and it definitely won’t be our last! We had the trio sampler with chips and salsa to start and it was amazing. My husband and I each ordered the shrimp and short rib tacos. These are honestly the best tacos we’ve ever had anywhere! The service by Lanie was exceptional, and we absolutely loved her. My only complaint was the price of the margaritas. We each had two with Don Julio, and $88 for four margaritas was a little steep. But we will certainly be back on our next visit to the island!
Shelly G — Google review
Me & my family stopped in for a late dinner. The fresh tortillas and salsa were top teir. The hefty burritos were excellent, according to my wife & son ( she had grilled shrimp, he had grilled chicken). I had the beef Macho Nachos (whole). Unfortunately, I did not finish them because I did not have four other grown men with me to take a shift. This dish was MASSIVE! The half size is more than enough. It was excellent, however; Good flavors. The watermelon margarita was a standout drink, while the house margarita was a bit salty - even with no salt on the rim (I blame the Altos tequila). La Plancha is definitely worth a try.

Well, there is always a first time for everything.... A Mexican restaurant out of queso, oh boy. Fortunately, option B, Elotes, was decent. The food and service were good. My group ordered Elotes (Appetizer), Chicken Quesadilla, Mahi Mahi tacos and Short Rib tacos. Food portions were plentifully and costs are comparable to other Mexican inspired eateries. Plenty of free parking located in shopping plaza.

Excellent Margarita menu. Standard Mexican fair (tacos, burritos, fajitas, etc.) Delicious and generous portions. Busy on a Tuesday night, if that gives you an indication as to how good this place is. Service was good, with staff covering both indoor and outdoor nothing took too long to get. Moderately priced.

We walked into cupcake paradise! The display was overflowing with options— everything from classic favorites to creative, one of a kind flavors. My husband couldn’t decide (can you blame him?), so we went with the mini cupcake sampler pack—and wow, every single one was delicious! My favorite was the carrot cake, while my husband was obsessed with the chocoholic. The whole experience was so fun, we ended up sampling a bite of every cupcake 😄 Ashley, the owner, was incredibly warm and helpful, making the visit even more special. I asked for a very simple “Happy Birthday” cake for my dear husband. I will let my pictures do the talking, as I couldn’t be more disappointed. The first picture is what I initially picked up and I turned around so fast hoping they could do something to fix the cake. I asked for them to at least fix the writing to be larger and make the cake look happy… even an exclamation mark would have added something! The writing is beyond unprofessional and for a $47 cake, quite pathetic. The second and third pictures are what I then went and “re” picked up later. I could cry, it’s the saddest Birthday cake I’ve ever seen. The only saving grace is that it did taste yummy. We got a strawberry cake with lemon filling and cream cheese frosting. Unfortunately the cake is not what I would have liked to pay for. The only explanation I got in reference to the decor was “oh she’s learning” and sadly had to be my husband’s cake she’s “learning” on. Cupcakes are great but do not order any custom cake.

Very disappointed. I saw this place while visiting St. Simon's and was so excited to try it. I asked the saleslady if the red velvet cupcake had "real" cream cheese icing and she said yes. It definitely did not and that was the one I wanted to try the most. We tried 4 different cupcakes and they were ok. As a cupcake connoisseur, these looked delicious but they were unfortunately just about average. I only wrote this review because I received an email asking how the place was but there was no where to answer that question only a button offering for me to see the menu.

SO disappointed for wedding cupcakes that were ordered timely and for which were paid with multiple emails for arrangements made for delivery to wedding venue delivery of which did NOT happen. Depended upon a business to have a reminder system both technical and, perhaps on a delivery board. A refund was made but.....irresponsible for a business and very disappointing for this special occasion.

Tried the "hostess" style cupcake today while in town for work. It was the recommended flavor from the young lady working (she said it's her favorite). It was hands down one of the moistest cupcakes I've ever had from a cupcake bakery! The icing was delicious (I don't love icing, but ate nearly all of it) and it had some cream inside too like a true hostess cupcake. the cake was so soft and fell apart as you ate it in a good way, not in a dry way. Made it super messy to eat but I'm impressed. Definitely recommend giving Smallcakes a try!
Kathryn S — Google review
So I wanted a cupcake after playing a game on my phone, yeah it was a greedy move but, I found this place that was open. I drove over to the Island and decided to try a few different options. I got carrot cake, red velvet, birthday cake, hot fudge sundae, strawberry, and cookies and cream...so here goes. The Red velvet was more like chocolate cake and red coloring but the icing was good. The carrot cake was ok but it had a lot of coconut in it. My daughter ate the strawberry and said it was good but I didn't eat much of the birthday cake or hot fudge sundae. The cookies and cream didn't get eaten at all. These were very pretty cupcakes but they didn't give me the taste I was looking for. I don't think I will be back but overall it was still a good experience. Not my kind of cupcakes but they were pretty.

Decent Mexican food - a little pricey for what it is. Avoid the house margaritas and get your meal with sides included (they're super expensive a la carte) and you'll be fine. My wife and I stopped in for lunch in December 2022. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Our server was great and offered a few suggestions and was kind enough to bring us a small sample of the house margarita. We were glad she did as we were not fans of it and opted for a margarita with better ingredients. Food was typical Mexican food, nothing that stood out. We LOVE cheese dip at most Mexican restaurants and that's usually our barometer for how the rest of the meal will be and that held true in this case as the taste was okay and the serving size was just okay and overall, the place was okay.

Great service. From the start the hostess was very friendly and so was our server. Food was very good. Our server was very attentive. Came as a recommendation and am glad I came. Had gone to a different Mexican restaurant and this was way better than our experience there. We had the Texas Fajitas and Mojarra Frita. Also, asked for spicy salsa and we were given some "homemade" salsa. Very good and definitely spicy which made our experience even better.

Blue Bay on St. Simons Island has an extensive authentic Mexican cuisine menu with street style tacos, empanadas, chimichangas, camarónes a la diabla, pork and chicken tamales, flautas, tostadas, enchiladas, and CHILE RELLENOS!!! They also have traditional Tex-Mex items like fully loaded burritos, quesadillas, and fajitas. Even the chips and salsa are great. The cooks grill the tomatoes and onions in house to maximize the flavor of the salsa! Overall this place is a must try if you’re in the area and love great Mexican food!
Jacob H — Google review
I thought the food was great and the street tacos were amazing. However, the service brought this restaurant down a star. First off when we ordered our cheese dip, she kept on questioning us when we ordered the large. We said again that the large would be fine and that we have the people to eat it but she still kept on saying that it was really big and that we shouldn’t get that. I understand telling us the size of it, but telling people what they can and cannot get after they told you nicely several times that what you ordered is what you would like, then it isn’t okay. Then we had to wait 10 minutes just to get our salsa, waited another 5 minutes for the cheese dip, and then had to wait another for the chips. Not to mention the place was FAR from crowded and bearely had any people there eating. I wouldn’t go there again because of the service. Shout out to the chefs though because they can cook like it is nobody’s business. They are amazing, but the terrible service ruined it.

We usually stay at The King and Prince but stayed here this year. The ease of getting to the beach was GREAT!!! The room was spacious and nice and our room had a view of the beach. There is no pool on site so if that is an issue for you then don't stay here. We enjoyed sitting out on the veranda overlooking the water to watch a storm come in one afternoon too. We will stay here again!

We were very happy with our stay, room was nice, we enjoyed our porch, bed was comfy, it was well located. Kitchen was minimally furnished for cooking, but we didn’t cook so no problem. Staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The rooftop bar/restaurant was average at best, so can’t recommend it.

The place has beautiful decor and the rooms are spacious. The staff were beyond friendly and very welcoming. Had a little hiccup with the battery going dead in the lock, the manager offered to lock our door with the main key but didn’t really want to bother him every time we left. But as soon as maintenance came in, they were on it first thing! 4 star on the location just because when you came out on your balcony you couldn’t really see the beach well🤷🏼‍♀️we had an amazing time and the rooftop restaurant was amazing as well. The staff was very nice up there to, recommend to anyone needing somewhere just to get away!

Ocean Lodge has always been a home away from home for my husband and I. We've literally celebrated over 10 years worth of Anniversaries with them. They simply seem to only get better and better. Thanks to Amy, who's nothing short of Amazing, she's gone above and beyond to make this upcoming stay as wonderful as possible. Her customer service skills are impeccable and her committee and dedication to follow up with her clients is just the icing on the cake. We must also say thanks to Matt as well. With his new leadership and his combined culinary skills.....it makes Ocean Lodge hard to leave. Thanks to you all for literally being a home away from home, we wouldn't have it any other way. This place is an absolute joke. We bought a promotional package the Atlanta Travel Show which included 3 nights, a welcome basket worth at least $100, a hot breakfast every morning, and a free dinner at the rooftop restaurant. When we checked in the girl at the desk gave us the key to our room. We asked about our welcome basket and were told "we don't do that any more". We had a flood in our room that night from the a/c and were told the drain pipes were clogged and there was nothing they could do about it. We went down for breakfast and were told "we don't do that any more". The view was horrible. We had dinner reservations and it was over 2 hours to get our food! I could go on and on but I will end by saying that we asked to speak to Chef Matt, manager, who was sitting in his office shuffling papers and were told he was "unavailable ". Stay away!!

I was there this past weekend and I really enjoyed my stay. My room was very quiet, clean and spacious. I Stayed in St. Catherine's room. My balcony was perfect I was able to look out and view the ocean. It was everything I needed. The staff was PHENOMENAL from the maintenance, waiters, bartenders to the kitchen staff. One day I was feeling a little low (My son recently passed away) and the waitress asked if she could give me a hug. That went miles with me. I'm already planning my next stay there. Ohhh and the food and drinks at the rooftop restaurant were awesome!!!

We were in town for a bachelorette trip and were looking forward to a nice dinner, but unfortunately our experience with the host, Corey, wasn’t great. He came across as dismissive and a bit inappropriate, which was disappointing for the occasion. Once we discussed with the manager she stepped in and handled the situation very well, making sure the rest of our evening went more smoothly. While we appreciated her professionalism, the initial interaction left us feeling let down.

Didn't actually eat there. Walked inside and my boyfriend and I made contact with the bartender, who said nothing (not seat yourself, i'll be right with you, or anything). Don't know if we walked in on a private party either- there was no sign indicating there was. Needless to say we walked out after that awkward customer service experience and went to Gnats Landing which was great.

If you're on the hunt for a casual dining experience that serves up mouthwatering pizzas, look no further than Fox's Pizza Den. This laid-back chain offers an impressive variety of specialty pizzas in different sizes, alongside tasty sandwiches and fresh salads. Whether you’re craving a classic pie or something unique like the Chicken Rancher or Bacon Double Cheeseburger pizza, there's truly something to satisfy every palate. Fox's Pizza Den is particularly renowned for its delicious round and square-cut pies available in four standard sizes.
Stopped in for some pizza after spending the day visiting the area with our family. The pizza was absolutely amazing! Great service as well. Will definitely stop by during our future visits!

If I could rate this pizza place a 10, I definitely would! By far this pizza was THE BEST I have ever had in my life! I always add grated cheese, but this one needed absolutely nothing. It was fantastically delicious and incredibly tasty. We got the deluxe that included pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions & mushrooms, thin crust. It had just enough sauce but didn’t overload it like many pizzerias do. The service was equally impressive with friendly staff and incredible customer service checking in frequently. I am not joking! The facility was clean, well maintained, spacious and comfortable providing great vibes. Too, we didn’t wait to be seated but it did take 10 minutes to cook the order; so it was fresh & hot, not made in advance and waiting for someone to order that specific. I might add the pizzas are done right in true tradition for the absolute best results! We will definitely be coming back!

The Supreme pizza is one of the best I have ever had and the staff was really attentive and friendly. We were getting a to go order but had not ordered ahead, so we had a couple of draft beers while we waited. Staff members engaged us in conversation and made the wait extremely enjoyable. I highly recommend this location.

Excellent experience tonight with a takeout order. Tasty pizzas, nice size and composition on the salad. Met their estimate for pickup time and it was freshly out of the oven.

My girlfriend and I have been longtime fans of Fox’s. This was our first time having the one on SSI, as we usually go downtown. Last night we happened to be on the island, and after a disappointing failed trip to another restaurant, we decided to go to Fox’s. It was about 9 when we got there (thinking they closed at 11 due to the time showed in Apple Maps) when in reality they closed at 9:30. We didn’t find this out until we were already there and seated to order, by overhearing a conversation, but at no point did we feel unwelcome to dine-in or rushed. The service was great. Our waitress, especially to be 30 minutes from closing, was exceptional. She was attentive, polite and kind. Our experience with her alone was enough to be willing to drive back there in the future. Food was great as always, fresh out the oven. Overall, we had a perfect experience. Sorry to have went in so close to closing time, unknowingly, but glad we had a wonderful experience after a frustrating one just prior.

We stopped by this pizza joint after our long hot day on SSI. It hit the spot! Our family of 4 had the Big Daddy pizza and like the name, it was huge! We were still eating off of it the next day. That + drinks was only $35. What I noticed when we were there, several customers came in that the owner/employees new. She asked about them and their family. For a restaurant to take the time and have a relationship with their customers speaks volumes. This will be our go to spot whenever we're in town. Loved the atmosphere and the camaraderie!

The pizza is great but they need to turn the A/C down a little as it was very hot inside to eat-so if you don’t like the heat get it to go-and I would say it is very good Pizza-we ate all of it.

Chick-fil-A is a beloved fast-food chain renowned for its delicious chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and a variety of salads and sides. During my recent travels, I decided to stop by one for brunch while exploring the area. As someone who works at Chick-fil-A, I was eager to see if this location lived up to the high standards I'm accustomed to. Despite them being out of strawberries—something beyond their control—the experience was fantastic!
This location is conveniently placed across the street from the Hampton Inn at St. Simon’s, making it an ideal location for breakfast and lunch. Food is fresh, including perhaps the best kale salad I’ve ever had. Service is timely and staff are friendly.
Casey — Google review
Ok food and just a bit slow when we went. The first time we went the tablet was down so the line was way backed up. We left and came back a few hours later and it was still a tad slow. They got the food correct for our order but we were missing sauces. Just didn’t realize it until we were already at the hotel. The fries were heavily salted. Nice staff and seems like a nice area.
Clarke E — Google review
Worst chick fil a I’ve ever been to. And this says a lot because chick fil a is usually awesome. CFA, notoriously known for their efficiency and prompt service, fails miserably at this location. I never wait less than 15 mins for my order. Sees like not much time except when you go to other locations they never take more than a few minutes. They never apologize for the wait, the flow of traffic in and out is always a nightmare. I don’t know how they allow this. Especially at such a popular location.
Courtney J — Google review
I had a very disturbing experience while sitting at the drive through window yesterday. I overheard staff discussing events that had unfolded the previous day stating "so what he died". The level of insensitivity was deeply inappropriate- especially in a customer-facing environment. To make matters worse when opened order when returned to work- it was wrong. I truly expected better from Chick-fil-A.
Heather S — Google review
Dead flies everywhere. (7) employee in gray shirt assuming manager possibly and another employees in the back named Meg or mag or Mack possibly made fun of a customer. We witnessed it around 10:25 am 08-04-2025. Treated the customer poorly made fun of her then tried to charge 32 cents to that person for them leaving their cheese out their meal that was supposed to have it. Almost felt like we were at McDonald’s this place is awful. The employees acted ghetto. But they almost made that lady and family cry the way they treated them. They should be ashamed of themselves. I would not recommend this chick fil an and their values at this location with that crew's on this date. We would rate them a 0 but googles forces us to choose 1 to 5.

Delicious food, great customer service. We sat outside. Attendants came out to check on us if we needed anything. What polite courteous service! I'm traveling from Maine, what a beautiful kind state.
JESSA M — Google review
I go to Chick-fil-A multiple times a week and I've visited locations all around the United States and I'd have to say that this location is by far the worst I've visited. It took several minutes to even be acknowledged when there was no one else in the line. My order was taken and it took 10 minutes to get my food; the chicken strips were burnt and black. The cushions on the booths are old and cracking and the trash cans were completely full with no room to throw away trash. I went again with someone else through the drive through and they commented how it was one of the slowest Chick-fil-A restaurants they've ever been to. I hope that the new owner/operator can whip this Chick-fil-A into shape as there's a reason there is only a few cars in line at rush hour.

Waffle House is a popular American diner chain known for its all-day breakfast and mouthwatering signature waffles. Customers rave about the exceptional quality of their waffles, describing them as absolutely amazing. Despite some instances of overwhelmed and rushed service, the majority of staff members are friendly and the restaurant maintains a clean environment. Waffle House consistently delivers a great breakfast experience, with delicious food served quickly by efficient short order cooks. The happy servers and workers contribute to an enjoyable dining atmosphere.
The staff is always awesome! They greet ya when you come in. Your waitress is always to the table within minutes with silverware and drinks or to take drink orders. Food was ready very quickly and was cooked perfectly!

Service is terrible and staff was extremely disrespectful. I was randomly approached by a lady behind the counter named Renee who cursed me out and got very physical. I was forcefully shoved out of the store after simply relaying to my friends that she said they were doing to-go orders only (most likely because every table was filthy and nobody bothered cleaning them up for everyone else inside). Please don’t waste your time giving this place your business unless you want to end up as miserable as the staff that works there.

the house of waffles nestled in the sea breeze, make the freshest brewed sweetest of tea one waffle i ask with ease, the waiter brings it- and syrup please! my hasbrowns are crispy and my cola even more, all i had to do was walk to the door. writing this in the coldest of booths a bit of sausage still stuck in my tooth’s. as a food critic my judgment is harsh; but this is the best waffle house in the marsh.

I had the all star meal with the peach waffles. The waffles were absolutely amazing. I was so surprised they were that good, I'd highly recommend them. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and rushed so she did get to us alittle late, but other than that the staff seemed nice and the place was clean.

By far the worst customer service I have ever received at a waffle house. From the moment we walked the ladies working had a chip on their shoulder. The one lady nearly took my head off when we went to sit at a table that was clear, but hadn't been wiped. So I asked her if she was having a good day. She didn't like that to much, because she got very rude. Then when our server was taking our order she was very short, and bitter. The restaurant was gross. 8 tables in the whole place and 5 tables just sitting there dirty the whole 45 minutes we were there.

Chicken wings restaurant
Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings is a popular fast-food chain that specializes in serving fried chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, and other classic American comfort food. The employees were working hard to keep the drive-thru moving smoothly, although there were some issues with getting the correct drinks despite multiple clarifications. However, overall, the orders were accurate and prepared promptly for those who wanted their food fresh. The quality of the food was excellent and the staff was efficient.
Great chicken. Second visit to a Zaxbys. Enjoyed the food.
ALAN D — Google review
Showed up hungry, left disappointed and out of $15. Food was ready in less than 30 seconds and was dryer than the Sahara Desert. Everything tasted off and bad. The drink machine was down. Honestly could get better quality food if I dug left overs out of chick-fil-a’s dumpster. Will not be coming here again. Also it’s on the Island, you’d think it’d be better than Brunswick.
Tyler G — Google review
I had lunch at the Zaxby’s on St.Simons yesterday at noon and found a cigarette butt halfway through eating my meal, ignoring the fact that is completely and utterly disgusting but is also breaking several health code violations. And on top of this specific event, I've had constant attitudes from employees at this restaurant. And the only reason I didn't demand a refund yesterday was that I was halfway back to my job when I discovered this blatant disregard of the health and well-being of me as a customer.
Brandon W — Google review
The strips are dry and small. The price has gone up, but the quality is trash. If you don't have a beverage than you could choke on how tough, and dry these tenders are. Side of coleslaw is about 3 regular size spoons. Do better Zazbys
Timmonica L — Google review
For the third time I ordered nibblers NO SAUCE. For the third time I get SAUCE. I won't waste my time or money again.
Jennifer J — Google review
Don't get me wrong, the food is great...when you get what you order. Ordered 3 meals tonight for me and my 2 sons. Not a meal was correct. I ordered 2 signature club sandwiches, which are supposed to come with bacon and cheese on them. There was no hint of bacon or cheese on the sandwiches. Ordered fries that were supposed to have extra seasoning on them (for all three orders of fries) and there was no Zaxby's seasoning on any of them. And one son ordered a big Zax snack, which is supposed to come with zax sauce to dip the chicken fingers in. No zax sauce. Very disappointing to get home and not have what was ordered and paid for. If you go to this location, DON'T ORDER ON THE APP! Go inside and order and double check your order before leaving. It's a shame that service is still this poor post-covid. Most fast food locations just quit caring if they get your order right or not, including this one, and they now charge 50% more to get your order wrong.
Brad D — Google review
Food did not disappoint, staff was efficient, tables in dining area could have been wiped down

Chubs Diner SSI is a unique eatery that offers breakfast and lunch all day. The food is not exceptional but also not terrible, with a peculiar sweetness to everything. However, the home fries stand out as delicious. The eggs Benedict and Carnivore dishes were unexpectedly sweet, which led to jokes about the cook mixing up sugar and salt. Despite this, the prices are reasonable for the area. The service is satisfactory and there is ample parking available.
Went on a Teusday morning and had a wonderful first experience. Our waitress was Miss Candice is was very friendly and great with recommendations. The food is amazing and worth every penny. We would comeback anytime!

Arrived on June 18 for a week vacation. Our breakfast place for the whole trip. I am an Egg Benedict fan and tried Florentine and my Fiance the Southerner Egg Benedict...😋I chose Couliflower hash instead of potato. Yummy! Ate my last bite very slowly! 😋 Loved having Candice as our server! ❣️Highly recommended! We both cook and the food is flavorful, not salty or seasoned with synthetic spices! 💛💙❤️🙏🏻

This was the worst food and experience we had in St. Simons. We were there for over an hour waiting for breakfast food. The ENTIRE meal for 2 people was undercooked including bacon (raw), sausage (raw) and French toast (doughy). The eggs were a flavorless limp yellow pile on the plate. The fried chicken was overcooked and so dry I could have knocked someone out with it. It was unmitigated disaster in there like I've never seen. The pancakes were good, the biscuits are good but that's all I can say. I paid full price for $5 worth of food. And yes...I absolutely told the waitress. 10/10 do not recommend

Do yourself a favor and check out this diner when you're on St. Simons Island. Located on the corner of a strip shopping center, there's plenty of parking with easy in and out. We walked in and sat at the counter. After a warm greeting, we ordered coffee and looked over the menu. Breakfast and lunch can be ordered all day. We split The Carnivore with hash browns. Holy cow! It's a 3 egg omelet with a generous portion of bacon, sausage, and ham along with homemade pimento cheese. A heart attack for 2 but well worth it. Outstanding service.
George R — Google review
It’s an old Waffle House that has taken on new life. The food is much better than a Waffle House and has some solid pancakes to boot. The portions were decent the only exception would be when you order sides they are very small. Overall a pretty good breakfast.
MJ — Google review
The food was not the best but not bad either. Everything was oddly sweet. But the home fries were very good. I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was very sweet (so weird) and the Carnivore was even sweet. We joked that the sugar and salt must have been switched for the cook. But in all it wasn't bad and it was a refreshingly decent price for the area, which is a bonus. Service was fine and plenty of parking.
Mary C — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised with the fried shrimp dinner. Wild caught shrimp. Not farm-raised. Not overly breaded. The side salad was a generous portion. The homemade Blue Cheese salad dressing was delicious. All for a reasonable price compared to local tourist trap seafood restaurants.
