Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
La Tienda is a traditional Mexican restaurant located at 2204 SW 13th St. It offers a variety of authentic Mexican dishes such as quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, Mole, and Huevos Rancheros. The menu is extensive and the food is known for its care and quality. This counter-serve spot provides porch seating for guests to enjoy their meals.
Authentic Mexican food with very reasonable price and portion! Family friendly. Can be crowded during the peak hours.
Weihsuan L — Google review
The best authentic Mexican food I’ve had. Great service and cozy place to eat. I’m hating that I’m not local, just stopped in on a visit for gator gymnastics camp!
J T — Google review
My visit was with a friend who has prior experience here with the quality of the food and the vibe of the restaurant. In many ways and years the place has never changed. And I for one think that is a great reason to visit again and again. We began with a chicken burrito that was ginormous! Very delicious. Also enjoyed a chimy chunga with steak. The sides are huge and very tasty. The guacamole and salsa are perfect. I got he feeling that this was a representation of a genuine dish and restaurant in Mexico. We also enjoyed the BEST mango coconut drink I have ever tasted! And if you want a beer, I recommend the 32oz Modelo. Awesome! The staff are very friendly and polite. Don’t forget to visit the grocery store in the rear of the building. Amazing items and all appear genuine Mexico You will find that of any of the Mexican restaurants in Gainesville, these folks are the Very BEST! Enjoy

Beyond authentic from the moment you walk in with delicious food and great service. Plenty of seating indoor and out. Highly recommend if looking for a reasonably priced meal.
Luca S — Google review
Been going here since 2011 and it never disappoints. My favorite place to get a burrito 🌯 in Gainesville and I always try to stop when en route. Al Pastor is my favorite but Barbacoa and carne asada are great too
Louie T — Google review
*Recommended* It’s pretty gosh darned authentic. It’s good chow priced well. I love places where you order at a counter and seat yourself. There are a couple of coolers stocked with Latin soft drinks. The space has a lovey ‘lived-in’ vibe but it is in no way unclean. In fact, the interior is almost spartan in a way only someone who has mopped the floors every night would understand. The staff works quickly and communicates well. The menu is displayed on two monitors above a counter selling candies and sweets. They also have a practical pharmacy on the wall behind the cash register. Antacids, some topical stuff and I noted a box of Panadol. Awesome. Our order was three taco birrias, a giant chicken quesadilla, and I got a delicious huevos rancheros as usual. Everyone was pleased with their choice. The guys in the kitchen were full of smiles the one time I looked in. Mucho gusto. The best part was as I was at the end of the meal. As I was taking our paper dishes to the trash and looking around for where to lay my plate, when the sweetest lady came walking up to me with her hands out fussing to help me. Classic.
Travis E — Google review
Always a pleasant place to casually eat. You can sit inside or outside. Everything I've ever ordered from here has been delicious, though my personal recommendation is the chorizo tacos if you like spice like I do. The servers there have always been nice when I've gone here. No complaints, other than parking is (maybe) sometimes an issue when it's busy, but I don't mind parking down the block for some good tacos!
Lady V — Google review
The pork ribs with salsa verde and huarache with al pastor were both really tasty.

Cafe
Mi Apá Latin Café of Gainesville is a low-key Cuban restaurant with a modern atmosphere and a patio. It offers classic dishes like Cuban sandwiches and Cuban coffee made from the freshest ingredients. The café has been a local favorite for almost twenty years, providing an authentic and traditional Cuban experience near Loblolly Woods Nature Park.
100% Authentic. Real Cuban bread for the sandwiches, the empanadas were the best I have had in the US (my personal favorite was home-cooked in the Dominican Republic), the stuffed potatoes were incredible, and whatever they do to the beans for their Rice & Beans was unlike anything I have ever had…. 👏🏽👏🏽
Jonathan S — Google review
If you're looking for an unforgettable culinary experience, make a beeline for Mi Apa in Gainesville. My friends and I recently spent a day in Gainesville, and our visit to this Latin café, serving authentic Cuban food, was the absolute highlight! From the moment we walked in, the aroma of delicious food filled the air, and the bustling crowd was a testament to its popularity. The menu at Mi Apa is a feast for the eyes, with so many tempting options that it took me a while to decide! I sampled several dishes, and each one was a revelation. The flavors were vibrant, authentic, and the quality of the ingredients was clearly top-notch – everything tasted incredibly fresh. Each bite transported me with its perfect seasoning. I was so impressed! I can honestly say that this is some of the best food I've ever tasted. I've even been begging the owners to consider opening a location in Ocala! Mi Apa is a must-try for anyone who appreciates delicious, fresh, and authentic Cuban cuisine. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
K. H — Google review
Son graduated and stopped here on our way back home. Being Cuban I needed my cafe con leche and we are glad we chose Mi Apa. It was recommended by my nephew who still attends UF. The food was good and the servers were great. I recommend it.

I’ve literary ridden my motorcycle dozens f times from Orange Park to Gainesville to eat here and sometimes just for a fantastic Cuban Coffee! I have NEVER been disappointed! It is always an awesome and delightful/ delicious experience!

Food was to DIE FOR!!! The lechón was so soft and tender. Very good. And our waiter Esteban was so nice and got everything right and fast. Delicious 💕
Victoria G — Google review
For a cafe restaurant it has excellent menu, variety and fast service ! It is not luxury but you eat well and very well done the food! Cuban and Latin style dishes ! I loved it! Don’t miss the Coconut Limonade😜
Yoanka R — Google review
If you never make it to Cuba, just come to Mi Apa Latin Cafe in Gainesville, because the food was so delicious. If I would have closed my eyes and imagined for a few seconds, I believe I may would have been transported, only if it was just for a moment. My wife and I both had the Cuban Sandwich with fried plantains, which was hot and fresh and delicious! I had a bowl of chicken soup which was the most flavorful that I’ve ever had. We both had a Guava and Cheese pastry which was excellent, fresh and not too sweet. I actually wanted to order another one, but I had already eaten enough, because of that huge sandwich. Our server Daniela was awesome and very welcoming. She served us with a smile and made us feel like part of the family. It’s unusual to find a place where everything was on point. We found that place…
Carl C — Google review
We were in Gainesville today and stopped here for lunch. I had the Carne Con Papas and Chicken soup and everything was delicious. The beef was so tender and well seasoned and the chicken soup was the best soup I’ve ever had in a while. The server was great and the atmosphere was nice . We will be back again.

Nestled in Gainesville's Butler Plaza, Maple Street Biscuit Company is a delightful casual café that celebrates the Southern tradition of biscuits. This charming eatery specializes in mouthwatering biscuit sandwiches and classic Southern sides, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or lunch.
Great big fluffy biscuits with gravy is my go to. This time I tried the Berry tea Punch because Ms. Majesty told me how good it is. She was not lying. It's a university town so it was busy and a bit loud. But the biscuits are worth going back.
Carolyn B — Google review
We went on a Friday, mid morning. There was zero wait, the place was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and courteous. We ordered at the counter, found a seat and the atmosphere is pleasant. It is not fast food so it took about 15-minutes to get our order. Well worth the wait! I had the Farmer which was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Almost more than I could eat. We shared a maple cold brew which was also delicious. My husband had the Retro plate which he thoroughly enjoyed. The only reason I rated it a 4 is the cost of $33 for breakfast for 2. But at least it was delicious and enjoyable.
Cheryl P — Google review
I had the “goat cheese pepper jelly” chicken biscuit sandwich and it was phenomenal! The flavors worked together so perfectly. The lady manager Chris gave great customer service. I definitely recommend this place.
Anthony W — Google review
My husband and I were in Gainesville for a quick day trip and have been wanting to try Maple Street... So glad we did! First the goodo was amazing!! Neither of us have had chicken that tasted that good in a very long time. The biscuits and waffles were soft and tasty. The staff was even better than the food. The manager in training Ebony was fantastic!! It was busy but she kept the restaurant moving, kept it clean, and was polite and friendly and her staff motivated. Can't say enough about her.. Hopefully the Orlando location can match on food and personel!
Dina S — Google review
Ebony is the best! She gave the best service and hospitality. Ebony greeted us with a good morning, brought our food to the table and made sure we had everything we needed for breakfast. We will definitely be back for more amazing service from her! THANK YOU EBONY!!!
Latrice S — Google review
We ordered two biscuits and gravy, maple biscuit, and an extreme biscuit and gravy, a 4 piece smashbrown, and 4 fountain drinks which cost us $75.14. My husband ordered the bacon that on the menu said was $1 upcharge and was instead charged $4.79. I ordered a side of jelly. I was charged $8.00 and will post the picture of the liquid syrup they called jam. I am not one to post reviews but this is crazy. The tables were so sticky from previous guests I put down napkins for my plate. After eating they were completely stuck to the table. I have no issues with paying for a quality meal, but when the food is just ok and then to be charged $8.00 for 4 containers of "jam". I will not be back.
Sam M — Google review
We went today. Didn't look so busy but the wait time for the food was incredible for the amount of customers. We saw food sitting and waiting to go out for more than 15-20 minutes. The food was passable. We had squeaky goats, one on biscuit one on taco. The chicken was good but the goat cheese was minimal and the "pepper jelly" tasted just like the sweet thai chili sauce that you get at Trader Joe's. I am an amatuer biscuit maker and my husband said my biscuits were better. It seemed they were behind on biscuit making and pulling them out of the oven before they were completely cooked in the middle. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon.
Cherie A — Google review
After 2 years of living in the area my daughter and I finally decided to stop here for breakfast. Let’s just say we left very unsatisfied and disappointed . We ordered the Maple bacon and the Farmer, the chicken was not crisp and hot, biscuits were hard. I asked for a small side of maple syrup to add to my plate and they literally gave me Aunt Jemima instead of the supposedly Bissel family maple syrup from Ohio. We also ordered an iced chai and a vanilla sweet foam cold brew both drinks watered done and no flavor. That place was definitely a one and done, never again. Something so pricey for crap quality and terrible food and syrup.

Pizza restaurant
Satchel's Pizza is a must-visit spot in Gainesville, known for its quirky and fun atmosphere. The restaurant features thin-crust pies, calzones, and a simple menu that includes salads. The popularity of Satchel's speaks for itself, with its unique seating options like dining in a van or on an artsy patio. The establishment also offers live music, adding to the vibrant ambiance.
Satchels opened in 2003, I believe. It is next to the Repurpose Project and Reuse Renovators, and an obvious fan and partner in creative reuse for its decor. I was wowed by the creative reuse of junk into funky fun decor and a relaxed happy vibe. Our server Rocky is a joy, top notch, very friendly, and an asset to Satchels. My Mamma's Pizza single slice was hugely huge, a great value, perfectly crisp and tasty crust. Quirky dining alcoves are tucked all around the outside of the building and indoor dining is also available. Free off street parking is available. Cash and major credit cards are accepted. Satchels makes its own soft drinks (how about that?). The topping list for pizza was about 20 and very varied. I will be back.
Susyn S — Google review
Was pouring rain during this visit, but it didn't slow down satchels from serving up some delicious pizza in no time. I completely inhaled slice after slice and then went on to explore the cool things and scenery made from junk. The staff here are excellent, friendly and make sure your pizza needs are met. Be sure to explore the property and see all the cool art scattered throughout. 🍕 Will return to eat more pizza when I visit Gainesville again.

More Than Just Pizza - This pizzeria is a hidden gem—part restaurant, part art gallery, part plant shop, part playground. With a very unique twist and personality. This place has so much to offer, you can stay here and enjoy the pizza and salads and then spend time just admiring all the decor. The menu is creative and delicious, the pizza its 5 stars, all types of toppings. The space is filled with local art, making every visit feel like an experience, not just a meal. A perfect spot to eat, wander, and get inspired.
Diego — Google review
Very cool little place with a funky decor and good homemade sodas. The pizza is good and the toppings are plentiful. They don’t have a signature dish so you make your own pizza with the toppings on the list.
David C — Google review
This place is just so different. You have to make sure you go through each building to really get the whole vibe. There's also a wonderful little playground around one side, outdoors. Plants galore surround this place and some are for sale. The pizza slices are gigantic !!! The entire atmosphere is incredible.
Heather M — Google review
Fun atmosphere and great pizza! What else could I ask for? Very cool place. They have a table service side and more of a shot and listen to music, order at the counter side. The pizza was delicious. You could taste all of the ingredients and you can tell they use quality. Such a yummy sauce. I'm already salivating thinking about my next visit. I think it's a great place for kids. Big family and friends tables on the counter service side. They have live music too. This is a must visit if you're coming to gainesville. Parking can be persnickety so be patient but if you've been to gainesville before it won't shock you.
E. B — Google review
All-in-all a unique and fun experience at this pizza parlor with a wild flare of fun, artistic antiques, paintings, tile, and paintings. Each menu looks as if it were handcrafted just like their homemade pop! We chose to try the root beer which had the sweetness, yet interesting tartness to it as well. Dinner for 6 was 1 salad (VERY good) with 2 pizzas and 1 calzone: green pepper & onion, sausage, and mozzarella, ricotta, garlic. The crumbled sausage was very tasty with a kick to it. The green pepper and onion pizza we chose was very simple but hearty in its own way. The calzone was packed with cheese and 1 piece alone was enough to satisfy my lactose intolerance! The crust can be described as a chewier dough but with a crunch. The sauce was good; however, I felt it could use a bit more seasoning. Overall this place was great and we had a significant amount of food left over! And the dessert menu was wild and fun 😁! Completely recommend!
Peter S — Google review
A feast for the eyes and stomach, and eclectic blend of kitsch and Gainesville charm. Solid pizza and a great calzone. Give it try. Get there early as the main parking lot can be a nightmare getting in and out.

Not many places in Gainesville get 5 stars from me - but this place was cool. Great atmosphere, incredible food, cocktails were on point, and friendly service. A bit loud, but it simply was a great time. Have driven by it for years, never even knowing it was there. I will be back.

We got there just before 5pm. They didn't seem that crowded but it took about 10 minutes to be seated. The parking situation isn't too good. You're lucky if you can find a spot on the street. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We stayed inside since it was kinda warm out. We ordered drinks first. The waiter was friendly. We looked over the menu. The interior was dimly lit. There's a decent selection of choices on the menu. There is another whole menu for the drinks at the bar; many specialty drinks. We all ordered a meal and the food arrived timely and no complaints. We enjoyed our time at the Top. We'd go back.

Server was very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Best burger have had in a long time. Only downside is that it is super loud so hard to talk to people.

The food was delicious and our server, Tyler, was great! I had the eggplant rollatini and also ordered a side salad, which I wound up taking home because I was too full to eat it (as I wanted to save a little room for key lime pie)! My husband had the mushroom ravioli and added blackened salmon. We shared a piece of Keylime pie for dessert. We loved everything. It was all tasty! I read mixed reviews on the eggplant dish, but I thought it was delicious and would definitely order it again! I am a big eggplant fan! Everything was prepared well and tasty! And the Keylime pie was yummy and made there. We would recommend this place and the items we had!

Been going to this place for almost 20 years amazing food great place. The only thing I would say to anyone that goes to any restaurant. Do not assume the person waiting/ serving you owes you any thing but the job they are supposed to do. I say this with love. Because if you come into this wonderful restaurant with an air of entitlement it will not go over well. Which is why I love this restaurant. Helen Scott, I built something amazing as far as a place. And a that welcomes everyone. As long as you're you understand, you're only as welcome as long as you don't think that you're better than anyone else that is there 😘

The Top is a Gainesville gem! The food is absolutely amazing, with creative dishes that are always perfectly executed. The vibe is eclectic and fun, with a mix of retro charm and laid-back energy that makes it feel truly unique. Their drink menu is just as impressive, featuring unique cocktails (my favorite is the Bees Knees) and a great selection of local brews. Always a go-to spot for a memorable night out.

Perfect spot for a pizza fix. The lunch special was perfect! I gotta custom half pizza with a fountain drink for $8! The crust was pretty tasty. The ingredients were fresh The sauce was light not over powering. The service was extremely friendly and efficient. Well done on hiring the current staff Sep2025. One of the waitresses went out of her way to hand me napkins. So nice. I would've dropped a cash tip in a tip jar.

Great fast casual pizza place! Quick order line, similar to a subway for pizza. Let them know what toppings you want and the pizza gets fired and delivered to your table. Decent pizza for the price - was about $13 for a two topping with drink.

Fabulous!!! It was my first time there. My daughter and I went to check it out since she recently just moved there. Absolutely LOVE the front patio. Even with the traffic on Archer, it was a great atmosphere. Our waiter was fantastic. So pleasant and nice. The people making the food were great as well. I paid cash and noticed there was no tip jar. Can you please put one, they truly do deserve it for the service and speed they prepare everything. Great job to all of them!!!!

Genuinely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food options are amazing. ENTREE FAVS: (Breakfast) • Breakfast Burrito with tater tots! (Dinner) • Short Rib with the sweet tea demi 🤤 • Filet Mignon with a rosemary demi!! DESSERT FAV: • Bread Pudding: I’d come in JUST for this! DRINK FAVS: • Strawberry Orange Mimosa Blonde Ale: It’s very light and like a mixed drink but it’s a beer. It’s so refreshing. SERVICE: • We usually get great service every time we come. However, our most recent visit, our server wasn’t very attentive and we were waiting on water refills for a bit before I had to stop her and ask. ATMOSPHERE: • The music can be too loud sometimes, making you feel like you’re in a bar setting and have to yell to the person across the table. I think people would prefer a more lower music volume to chat with people. Overall, this place is worth it!

Upscale dining experience with modern log cabin feel to the decor. Went here for lunch during the week with my husband. We enjoyed a mule, Oak smashburger with fried egg, waffle fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. Food was ready in about 15 minutes. About $100 with generous tip. The place was nicely decorated. Restrooms were clean. We decided to eat outside since it was a nice day. Upside = it was sunny. Downside = there was a friendly fly 🪰 which luckily, appeared at the end of our lunch date. Parking is metered via parking app; $0.60 for every 30 minutes. We would come back here again for lunch. Thanks for a nice first visit 😊

Excellent quality food. Fried tofu was too sweet for me, but I know some others prefer that. The menu online differs in selection and price from current menu. My wife said the filet made her want to have it every day.

For me, this is a really mixed review. We have been here for brunch which was great. The food is good and the bottomless mimosas were great. Lunch is always good. But recently we went for dinner and it was really disappointing. I'll say that my smashburger was really good (but the chorizo was not). The pretzel was great but the dip does not compliment it well. And the penne with vodka sauce tasted like it came from a chef boyardee can. I think I'll stick with brunch.

This place blew me away from start to finish. Even though there was a short wait, the host let us know it would be about 30 minutes, and we were seated even sooner. Our server Tabitha greeted us with waters right away and took our drink orders both the smoked old fashioned and the gimlet were outstanding. The whipped feta appetizer was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For my entrée, I had the salmon, cooked to perfection, with tender broccolini on the side. The whole experience was tied together by the inviting atmosphere, complete with a southern-inspired design and a fun beer wall. Between the food, drinks, and vibe, this is a place I’ll definitely be returning to

We enjoyed our drinks and dinner but it was quite hot inside. The filet was delicious and the bread pudding was different but very good. I will try the grilled cheese and tomato soup next time as it looked wonderful.

We came in for brunch at The Oak and were lucky enough to have Veronica as our server. She was absolutely wonderful… warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. She checked in at just the right times without ever rushing us and had great recommendations that made our meal even better. The food was delicious, but Veronica truly elevated the experience with her friendly personality and excellent service. She’s the kind of server who makes you want to come back again and again. 10 out of 10!

The burger was fantastic, the sweet potato fries were sliced too thin. I had to sit inside at the bar for a total of 9 minutes before I had to flag someone down to take my order

Flaco's is a popular Cuban bakery and restaurant located in Gainesville, known for its unpretentious atmosphere and late-night service. The place is always bustling with patrons lining up to savor Cuban delicacies like arepas, pastries, and the iconic Cuban sandwich. The menu also features the Sunshine Bowl, a flavorful dish made with rice, tempeh, plantains, and black beans topped with creamy avocado sauce.
I was hungry and tired. It was late. Flaco’s burrito was there for me when nobody else was. It was delicious. I sometimes go out just so I can get to this point again, and chow down on some Flaco’s. The dancing, the friends, the music…it’s all just to relive this moment.
Gabriel K — Google review
Has Flaco’s quality gone down over the years, or was I just a drunk college student when I used to like it? We were driving up north and craving Cuban food, so we decided to quickly stop at Flaco’s for a bite. The parking was horrendous, but that’s expected of downtown Gainesville. Just as bad as the parking was their selection and quality of bakery snacks. The guava and cheese pastelitos were horrible; stale dough and barely any cheese. After my first bite I even thought they gave me the guava-only pastelitos… you couldn’t taste the cheese. The empanadas were dry, and the dough was terrible as well, but the flavor of the filling saved them. The quesitos were the best of the bunch. If you’re expecting South Florida quality Cuban dulces… you’re in for a treat. Maybe I just had too high of expectations?

Just tried their nachos and Scarface sandwich. Everything was really good. They have a nice outdoor space.

My girlfriend ordered the plantain and cheese sandwich. There was barely any cheese or plantains. Normally the food is good, but this is crazy.

I think it is more like a takeout restaurant. Small and cute restaurant. But there is a feel a bit of sketchy or something . The bathroom has broken flush and broken vandalized walls. The food was delicious. Tacos were delicious, and bread was fresh. Service was okay. The price was good. Parking is free 5am to 5pm. After that, $5. We enjoyed our visit. ...

Flacos was some of the best Cuban food I’ve ever had and probably the best Cuban food in Gainesville. On top of that the prices were very reasonable, good portion size, quick service, and good atmosphere. They are also open really late so it’s nice to go there after a night out. My favorite item on the menu is definitely the chicken and plantain arepa it was amazing. I recently tried the cheese and plantain sandwich which was also super good and huge. I also absolutely love the ropa vieja sandwhich. My boyfriend recently ordered the nachos with Ropa vieja and buffalo; that’s now my favorite thing on the menu. The only complaint is there wasn’t enough chips but they kindly gave us some when we asked for more
Britney M — Google review
I ordered online with 352 delivery. My fault I didn't immediately check that the order was all there when I picked it up, but my mango habanero and pineapple chipotle sauces were both missing, $1 each. The Sunshine Sandwich had broccoli, corn, and carrots in it. "Veggie and tempeh mix" was advertised so it's not false advertising or anything, but I guess I was expecting more of a vegetarian version of a Cubano, not frozen mixed veggies on a sandwich. I agree with other recent reviews that the guava and cheese pastry was stale with barely any cheese and super gummy processed guava filling, very disappointing :( the cheese arepa was great!
Hannah W — Google review
The best simple Cuban food you're going to get in Gainesville. It can't compare to Miami or Cuba (obviously), but the Cuban Gator sandwich and the beef pastry puff were legit. Love that it's open super late compared to other restaurants in Gainesville. Will come again to try their ropa vieja. There was a fair wait for our food on a busy Fri night, but staff were friendly and prices are extremely reasonable.

Hamburger restaurant
Fast food restaurant
If you find yourself in Gainesville, make sure to swing by Mac's Drive Thru, a beloved local institution that has been delighting taste buds for nearly four decades. This classic burger joint is renowned for its fresh and flavorful patties, all made to order with the perfect seasoning. Despite often having a line that wraps around the building, don't let that deter you; it's a testament to their popularity! A unique aspect of Mac's is its cash-only policy, so be prepared before you arrive.
We made the drive from Tampa just to get our Mac’s fix and spend the day exploring Gainesville—and yep, it was totally worth it. The prices have definitely gone up since our last visit (whose haven’t?), but the food is still just as crave-worthy. The burger? Fresh, juicy, and everything you want in a classic drive-thru bite. We added a lemonade to our order and were glad we did—it was super refreshing and a great size. At $3.99, it felt a tiny bit steep, especially with no refills, but hey, it hit the spot. Our only gripe? The fries. For $2.99, we were expecting more than what looked like a glorified kids’ size—think McDonald’s $1 fries, but not quite as full. Still tasty, but not really fry-lover approved in the value department. All in all, Mac’s is still a solid go-to for a nostalgic burger run. Just be ready for updated prices and maybe double up on fries if you’re sharing!

I grew up eating Mac's since the late 70's. They HAD the best burgers!!! Ever!!.... Now, 55 years later, after Ken & John (the owners I went to high school with) sold Mac's, are now the worst burgers. The burgers are dry like beef jerky and the fries are brown & over cooked. I got a burger 4 times after John(owner) left the kitchen and left the cooking up to the new owners. Oh my, when I got my burger, I noticed how dry the wax paper was that contained the burger fresh off the grill. No burger juices are to be found. And of course, no juice, NO taste. And yes, fries over cooked. I was so sad. Gone is the old Mac's that people used to tell stories about and t Mac's white paper sacks that held the best JUICY burgers and yellow/ white fries not over cooked. Goodbye, my friend. FYI: Ken & John's father owned Sandwich Inn @ NW 16th ave & main St. where both his boys learn how to cook the perfect burger. A family tradition that is now gone. RIP Ken. I miss you, my brother

I saw that this place had really high reviews so I had to try it. When we pulled up they had a line of 15 cars which was a good sign. We waited in line for about 20 minutes. We both ordered the double cheeseburger and fries. You can add lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup or mustard. We thought the burger was delicious and such a great price. Shoestring fries are my favorite, they were crispy but could have used a little more salt. We felt it was definitely worth the wait and will go back again.

Hidden gem! I was passing through the area and noticed a whole lot of cars in line. I said to myself. I bet this is a good place to eat. You can not eat inside here.. It is strictly a drive through. But let me tell you it was worth the weight in line! It was really good food plus it was made just how I like it. If you are in the area, you definitely need to stop here and try their lunch.
Cheryl W — Google review
Never been here before and there's no clear direction on how to order and the guy didn't even ask me if I wanted any toppings..I assumed they come with toppings because who eats a cheeseburger with nothing on it other than toddlers. So I just pulled away after I couldn't get his attention to fix it and didn't get my order and left. Maybe have some better customer service skills and don't assume people have been here before and know the process. Also sat in line forever so this isn't fast food. It's just a drive thru and below average one at that.

Traditional American restaurant

Brunch restaurant
The Swamp Restaurant is a popular game-day destination for college football enthusiasts, offering a laid-back atmosphere and a wide selection of American cuisine and drinks. Established in 1994, it has become an integral part of the Gainesville community and is located near the renowned Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
While it’s not the same as when it was on University, the Swamp is still one of the best places to catch a game in Gainesville. There is a large outdoor seating area where they project whatever the main game is that night. If you want to watch a game and get an outside seat, get there at least an hour before kickoff or you’ll be out of luck. There is a first and second floor with indoor seating, and patio upstairs seating. All tables are full service with food and drinks. The food is about what you would expect from a sports bar. On Fridays, they have Free Beer Fridays. You pay $10 each for a wristband and can get unlimited refills. I’m not sure what beer they use for this but you definitely get your money’s worth. There is no parking directly by the restaurant, so plan to do city parking nearby. There’s usually parallel spots available down the road.

We've been coming to Swamp since it was in the original location. The food has always been good. We came twice during our visit this time, and dinner and lunch were both delicious. I'm so glad they now have the beyond burger! For dinner I had the southwest salad, which was amazing, and for lunch I had the beyond burger. They have quite a varied menu, so there's something for everyone. Lauren and Trinity helped us at the bar and we're wonderful! The atmosphere is great for families and students alike.

This spot is serving up some good bar food and is perfect for game-nights. However, coming here to catch up with a friend was a bit difficult in the loud setting inside. My power wrap was great with the seasoned soy protein and hummus to moisten things up. I was happy to see some vegan options on the menu. Be careful with the sides though as the seasonal vegetable may come with bacon!

Visit The Swamp Restaurant today for the first time and meet Mesha who was my waitress and is great at what she do and also committed on my gators wear. I already knew i wanted to order gator bites so asked Mesha for a recommendation on an entree cause i want to eat lite. So she recommended the Cesar salad wrap but i ordered broccoli with it which everything was delicious and seasoned evenly. It started off with 2 customers including me some how in restaurant 30 minutes later it became really packed with customers but with only 2 waitress working i watched them work doing a wonderful job in a unbelievable busy moment. Ask for Mesha a sweet person and knows what she's doing.

Tierby and Kylie were absolutely amazing during my visit to The Swamp! Their service was warm, attentive, and made the whole dining experience feel special. Definitely ask for them if you visit

Friday night before a game, so the place was nuts! Loud, crowded and loads of fun. Burgers were outstanding but pretty small.. pulled pork and Philly cheesesteak were just average. Portions definitely in the small side. But lots of fun!

We have been here twice, and both were very good! They make a great hamburger, the Freshman 15, and their brunch options, like the Bourbon French Toast, are superb. The waitresses here are highly attentive and kind. The atmosphere is quite homey and exudes a college town feel, yet feels as if it belongs in a small town. Overall, this restaurant is one of the best in Gainesville, and is a great place to have a burger and their salads and fries a awesome!

This restaurant serves up delicious Caribbean dishes in Gainesville. It is a favorite of locals and tourists alike, with good reason - the food is outstanding. The beef patties and coco bread are especially popular, but there is something for everyone at Caribbean Spice.
First this place came recommended from both a friend and yelp so i had to try!! Walked in and was greeted by super friendly staff and took my order right away as i already knew what we wanted. Walking in the smell of the food is SOOO good, and the music playing in the background was very reminiscent of an island atmosphere. I have traveled to numerous Caribbean Island and felt like i was back on the islands!! The order was ready in about 5 minutes and i couldn't wait to get home, My wife could not stop saying WOW as she ate the oxtail dinner!! She said hands down it the best she has eaten!! Also my Curry chicken dinner looked and smelled and tasted amazing, best curry chicken i have had to include the islands!! The servings are more than ample. Definite won't leave you hungry!! I can see why it was recommended for me to try!! And i am already planning on going back later this week.

First time eating here & the Food is good wouldve gave 5 starz if i h had more gravy on my rice. & they definitely count them portions lmao paid 30$ for 6 oxtails it’s ok though just gonna get the brown stew chicken next time
Kold.Steppa23 — Google review
The jerk chicken is packed with flavor and has just the right level of heat to live up to its name. While it’s juicy and tender enough for the meat to fall off the bone, it could use a bit more of that signature pimento wood aroma to round out the experience. We also tried the curry goat, which was delicious — tender and well-seasoned, without any overpowering gaminess. The vegetable and beef patties were also very good, though we do wish chicken patties were on the menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant's décor added a nice touch to the overall dining experience.

First time customer. I wanted to try something different and I am so happy Caribbean Spice was the option I went with. The food was amazingggg!! I ordered the Oxtail with rice and beans. The service was great and even the owner was there to greet us. Atmosphere was amazing and even the customers were nice and talking with each other (must be so happy knowing they’re getting great food). 5/5 stars and I will be back next time I am in Gainesville.
Xavier M — Google review
With the recent closing of a nearby favorite, Reggae Shack, I went to look for my next favorite Caribbean restaurant to meet my needs. I am pleased to report that those needs were met and exceeded. The flavors experienced in the food as well as the quantity was more than sufficient. Alas, I did indeed go for the most expensive item on their menu, the Oxtail dinner, as well as a Beef Patty. While daunting, it definitely met and exceeded expectations. The meat was incredibly tender. The Beef Patty was juicy. The spices were perfect. I also had the opportunity to try my friend’s order of Jerk Chicken, a very good value option with amazing flavor still. We arrived later in the evening (they should extend their hours) and that’s where the service can seem a bit lacking. The Chef/owner had a bit of an attitude but the art is separated from the artist and I’d be a liar if I said I wasn’t impressed. A bit of a pricey play for a night out but one you can’t replace. Will gladly return again!

I wish I knew this place existed when I lived in Gainesville! I had the curry goat, excellent! It was hot, fresh, and tasted like home. My husband had the oxtail, also very good. Im usually not a lover of rice and peas, unless it's my grandma's, but this was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. My only drawback was the coco bread. It was very tough and did not accommodate the patty. The beef patty, on the other hand, was quite tasty. I love the crust! Overall, it was a great place. Will definitely visit again on my next trip to Gainesville.

I haven't been to many Caribbean restaurants in Gainesville, nor do I think there are many in the first place, but their food is pretty good! I'd definitely come back for more jerk chicken and coco-bread loaves. And I'm looking forward to trying the famous vegetable patties and oxtail next time. Generous portions at a low price, staff are friendly. Veggie patties are great! Braised oxtail is good, but I prefer the Jerk Chicken :)

Burrito Brothers Taco Co is a popular spot in Gainesville, known for its housemade burritos, tacos, and other Mexican dishes. Established in 1976, it has become a favorite among locals and students alike. The restaurant used to ship its specialties nationwide but has since focused on serving the local community. Despite the challenging parking situation, visitors rave about the flavorful offerings such as the Beef Primo burrito.
Hands down the best burritos I've ever had. Burrito Bros is my absolute favorite place to eat in Gainesville. Also love that it's been locally owned by the same couple for 40 years. Call me boring, but I haven't deviated from my order in 20 years. Combo burrito, 2 extra red sauce and a side of guac and chips. Why mess with perfection??
Grace W — Google review
Chips, salsa, tacos, burritos, and guacamole! What's not to like??? This place has really great deals every day like $2 tacos, happy hours, and $1 off drafts. It's nice that its right across UF's campus so you could technically finish class on Friday and get here at 11am in time for happy hour.
Vanessa C — Google review
I love Burritos and eat them at least twice a week. I am new to Gainesville, heard about Burrito Brothers and was very excited to try it. Now that I have had Burrito Brothers I am very disappointed! The food was bland, overpriced and portions were small. Even the pop, soda, whatever you call it was bad. I cant believe people pay that kind of money to eat such awful food. I hope someone with investment in this company reads this post and inquires.
Scott R — Google review
I remember when they were at the corner of 13th and University. The burritos were huge and delicious back in the day! I still love the taste, but when I went last time, the burritos were so small! I asked if I could pay extra for huge burritos like I used to get and when they came out, they were still half the size they used to be. I asked again if I could pay extra for a larger burrito and the owner came out and told me that he has owned this place for 40 years and the burritos have always been this size. Well, I respectfully disagree. He may be the owner, but I never saw him working when it was a little hole in the wall burrito joint with a bunch of tattoo bearing guys working and a line out the door for a burrito you needed two hands to hold. And after reading these reviews, if I were the owner, I would try to fix a few things. I love the taste still, but I was surprised by how small the portions are, how expensive they are, and how rude the owner was when I was just trying to PAY MORE MONEY for a bigger burrito.
Jodi R — Google review
Yes, the parking situation sucks, and there's no getting around that. Yes, you should always get your burrito double-wrapped, or else you'll probably be wearing some of it. But the flavor... just WOW. I've never had a better burrito (I recommend the Beef Primo) anywhere else, and every person I've ever introduced to the place has loved it too. A must-visit every time I get back to Gainesville.
DG — Google review
As South Carolina fans, a stop at Burrito Brothers has become a tradition when we come to visit Gainesville every other year. Their new location doesn't quite have the feel of the old "order from a window" patio location, but it will serve BB well for a long time. They now serve beer, have TVs, and of course their great burritos. Don't forget to get yours double wrapped!
Danny C — Google review
All of the people reviewing that say the burritos were better in the 80's were high back then. Dirt would have tasted amazing to them. The burritos are absolutely delicious. Do not miss the opportunity to have a burrito here!

When my family comes to town, we have dinner at Satchel's pizza and lunch at Burrito Brothers. The first time I ate there, I tried to be as critical as possible because it was so trendy to eat here. But the second I tried their primo chicken burrito, I fell in love. Even my sixty year old father loves this place. It is a little expensive, but it is so damn good!

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille is a great spot to enjoy seafood dishes with a unique Creole and Southern flavor. The waitstaff is always attentive and quick to serve drinks and food, making the experience comfortable for all guests. Award-winning seafood is prepared with fresh ingredients in an exciting atmosphere perfect for families.
Visited Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille in downtown Gainesville last weekend, and it was a solid experience! The vibe is lively with that New Orleans charm—think exposed brick, jazz in the air, and a bustling patio. We snagged a table outside, which was perfect for soaking up the historic downtown energy. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and wow, it was a highlight—creamy, spicy, and packed with plump shrimp. My friend got the jambalaya, which had a nice kick and generous portions of sausage and chicken. The only hiccup was my crab cake appetizer; it was tasty but a bit smaller than expected for the price. The flavors overall felt authentic, like a mini trip to the French Quarter.

I had a mixed experience during my recent visit. On the positive side, the service was absolutely excellent. Our server, Erica, was warm, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. She handled a difficult situation with grace and did everything she could to make things right. Unfortunately, the main issue was with the food — specifically the grouper steak. It was served completely raw. I brought it to their attention, and they kindly replaced it without hesitation. However, the second attempt was also undercooked, which was disappointing. To their credit, Erica quickly involved the manager. They were very apologetic and offered to remove the fish from the bill, provided us with a complimentary dessert, and even a round of beer on the house. Their handling of the complaint was commendable, but the kitchen definitely needs to address its quality control.

Visiting from Houston, so this was my first time here. Excellent service, good food and just right for your pocketbook. There was a large variety to choose from. Our table ordered Fried, green tomatoes and Grouper fingers as appetizers. For our lunch, we ordered, Marinated Salmon salad, Andouille crusted grouper, Shrimp and scallop Orleans with red beans and rice, a cheeseburger and the Grouper platter. Food was the right temperature and everyone enjoyed it. Our server, Jasmine, was absolutely amazing. She checked on us often, was cheerful and delivered great service. Overall, a great visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience at Harry’s! It was a nice, solo afternoon lunch date to celebrate my birthday 🥳 I tried the calamari and was very fond of the presentation WITH fried green beans, too. I thought that was very unique and I enjoyed both with their tangy dipping sauce. The bread and butter was a perfect accompaniment to the meal too. Best seasoned butter ever! Lastly, the panko-andouille grouper was also a unique and well made dish, including the yummy smashed potatoes. Oh…Oreo Beignets… I almost fainted they were so ridiculously good. Whew! Overall verdict - Highly recommended. NOTE - I took the time to share because while the food was amazing, the service was top notch and fast, too! Be sure to check your receipt for a survey 😏 it may offer a free appetizer for your feedback! #Trip2DownloadingSoon

The Flying Biscuit Cafe is a laid-back Southern food chain that has been serving all-day breakfast since 1997. Founded by two friends from Atlanta, this neighborhood favorite in Gainesville offers delicious options like biscuits with sausage gravy, cheese and veggie omelets, and pancakes with fresh fruit compote. The cafe also serves salads and sandwiches later in the day.
Stopped in for breakfast on our way south. Patrick was an excellent server. We ordered the classic Benedict, piedmont omelette and flying biscuit breakfast. My husband also ordered a butterscotch latte. As every time we have come, food was delish. The hollandaise sauce is silky smooth, the grits are creamy. My daughter doesn’t eat beef or pork, so she loves that they have a sage chicken sausage. We need one of these in Lake City!

Had the pleasure of eating here for breakfast with my girlfriend over the weekend. The restaurant is small but quaint. I ordered steak and eggs with macaroni and cheese. My girlfriend got a vegetarian dish that she enjoyed. My steak and eggs were delicious but the grilled macaroni and cheese was one of the best things I’ve ever had in my life. Truly. The only negative thing about our experience was the service. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive or friendly. The food was so good and people can have bad days so five stars all the way. We will be back!

I visited Flying Biscuit around noon and had a great experience. The wait time wasn’t bad at all, even though it was busy. I sat at the counter, and service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Fried Green Tomato BLT, which was really good, crispy, hot, and flavorful. The goat cheese came as a ball in the middle; tasty, but I’d prefer it spread out more to balance each bite. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and actually crispy on the outside with a soft inside, which was a nice surprise. I noticed that a lot of the menu is very egg-forward, so if you’re not big on eggs, your choices are a bit more limited. Overall, a solid spot for a casual lunch with flavorful food, quick service, and a lively atmosphere.

Eclectic themed decor is bright and colorful. Service was great. Smoked salmon scramble, collard greens and biscuit was delicious. Other people in our party enjoyed Hollywood omelet and Vegan tofu scramble. First time grit eaters were satisfied and potatoes were yummy as well. We all loved the biscuits and apple butter.

Flying biscuit was absolutely delicious! The stuffed French toast was phenomenal. The potatoes were well seasoned. The biscuits were nice. The grits were great! Our server was so nice and accommodating! Such a fun little local spot.

Wow, just WOW. The chicken gravy is heavenly. We arrived with three kids under three and they were friendly and accommodating. The waitress was the pinnacle of the service and soon we had amazing food. Portion sizes were spot on and both adults were stuffed with the kids splitting a dish. We will certainly be returning to try more menu items. The Freebird biscuit was superb for the Skynyrd fan. The Chorizo Hash was phenomenal for our native southwesterner. Our kids loved the Flying Biscut Breakfast, substituting out the pork. While they serve the standard pork dishes, it is bot inescapable and they have amazing food without it as a mandatory mix in (for those who abstain or can't eat pork this is a huge plus and hard to find).

Awesome Service! Thanks For The Hospitality GOMEZ!! & Delicious waffle was 🔥crispy outside, fluffy inside, with fresh fruit! Made it even better. The powdered sugar was a nice touch without making it too sweet. presentation A1 🤌🏾 Definitely a solid pick if you’re into fresh, fruity breakfast.

Family atmosphere. Service was good and didn't take too long. Food was delicious and portions were good.. just didnt care for the collards. Had the grouper stuffed with crab and the blackened grouper. The fish was good, not over cooked. First time here and will certainly come back.

Pricey but gets a decent amount. I don't know if it's because they were busy it only saw the waitress three times. Parking was tight and busy. It was only 6pm. Food was good. Mostly fried food. Batter isn't greasy. Will probably come again.

Main my wife's birthday dinner very nice. Waiter was very accommodating and attentive. Couldn't have asked for better. Food was overwhelming. Large portions, fair prices, and the flavors were excellent. Only thing missing as far as service went was no manager visit to the table to give it that personal touch. Decor was something that could use an update, but not objectionable.

We ate lunch there. I got the Cod and my wife got the crab soup or something. Our food was pretty good. The service was excellent. Why not 5 stars? It was because the food was good. It wasn't great. It left a long aftertaste for some reason.

We were seated right away. Very pleasant staff. Delicious food and attentive waitress. My husband had blackened trout,it was delicious. I had snow crab legs very good! And my sister had the stuffed shrimp. The only thing I didn't like was the sautéed spinach, a bit too garlic for me. Reasonable priced and the have a military discount.

We really enjoyed our dining experience here. Melissa was out server and she was phenomenal. All her dish recommendations were spot on. Food was delicious and portions were generous. We'll definitely return!

Best Italian in Gainesville! The restaurant was extremely booked for graduation parties when we arrived without reservations, however, they were able to fit us in. The staff was great and we got our food quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. The waiter answered all our questions and made great recommendations. In addition to great food and service the prices were lower than expected for a fine dining type of atmosphere. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to anyone looking for great Italian in Gainesville.

Omg all the reviews are correct. This place was amazing! Must do! I loved the food! Was in town for the weekend. From Orlando. And I wish I could come back more often. I'm not a sea food person. But my mom who got the steamed clams and the calamari were the best she has had in a long time.

I got the fettuccini Alfredo and my boyfriend got the lobster ravioli which we both enjoyed our meals. The lobster ravioli was a small portion size which is why I’m giving 4 stars. The Alfredo was much bigger and it was super creamy. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, and our food came out quickly. The restaurant is very nice inside and decorative, also very clean. It is definitely a nice establishment and I would return but be prepared it is really pricey
Britney M — Google review
This evening broke my heart. My wife and I had tried for several weeks to get a reservation here. She loves fettuccine Alfredo. Finally got a reservation for 8 p.m. we showed up 15 min early, as you should, and let them know we were there. The hostess said give me 10 min and I'll get you seated, so we waited in the courtyard. Beautiful brick courtyard with jasmine growing everywhere. Just romantic. We get taken through the restaraunt to a room way in the back. It was romantic and quiet. Our table had just been reset. We were sat and received fresh ice water and hot bread with butter. Unfortunately the bread, butter and drinks were the only thing worth bragging about. We sat in a room with 3 dirty tables and a long party table full of dishes napkins and drinks from the time we got there, till we left. The poor waitress was so frazzled. I will not name her because she was kind and did her best and was apologetic. She was the only waitress for 7 tables and a huge party. Probably understaffed, like the rest of most business today so we have become accustomed to long waits, that wasnt the problem. I ordered chicken parmesan with a Ceasars salad $25+ and she ordered fettuccine alfredo $22+. Not bad for fine dining. I'd say we waited 40 min for the food to come out. I got my salad as a precursor and it tasted like lettuce mixed with mayo and parmesan. Not Cesar. The chx parm came out piping hot, but burnt.. super burnt. They took it back, then my pasta came out. So I had pasta and no parm lol. The pasta sauce was so salty, I couldn't even swallow it. So my pasta sat for another 5-7 min before my new chicken parm came out. It wasn't burnt. It was beautiful, piping hot with sauce and gooey mozzarella cheese dripping off of it...except it was the super salty sauce. The waitress automatically took off my meal and offered a free dessert. I didn't come for free food lol. . Came to a fine dining restaraunt to treat my wife to a delicious meal. Her fettuccine waslike marshmallows with pepper over noodles lol. Very bland. We never got our free dessert. We were never served oil for our bread, no little plates for our silverware, and the candle on our table wasnt lit. Sadface. This was our last hope for a decent Italian restaraunt in Gainesville.

My first time there and I was impressed. Beautiful restaurant. Our server was prompt and attentive. We had Bento and Sushi and both were delicious and presented beautifully! There are so many choices on their menu. So even if you don't fancy Sushi, you will have other choices. Great experience! Great for a date night! It's in a plaza with ample parking. Across from One Love Cafe.

My wife and I are huge sushi people and are very picky, and Ichiban exceeded our expectations. It was a chill atmosphere with a great bar. They have a large outdoor seating area that is beautiful at night. We got the sunset roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both were delicious! We will definitely return to try more sushi rolls on their large menu!

Excellent staff and atmosphere. Went on a Saturday night and we were still seated quickly. Gluten free soy sauce was available, and thoughtfully provided in a new container in case of cross contamination. The rolls themselves were neat and beautiful but a little large. Proportionate ingredients though! The nigiri was okay. Honestly the fish slices were large. I'd rather have them cut in half and receive 2 pieces per order. Overall, it's really good and I will dine here again.

Went last Sunday with my family. We each ordered a different roll and shared. I ordered the Tokyo roll and sweet cucumber roll. The cucumber roll was so different and refreshing!! My first one I have had wrapped in cucumber! The Tokyo roll was also very good. Very nice server, very helpful with suggestions! Husband got the Leo bacon roll he suggested and it was great too! Son loved his spicy tuna roll and daughter got the Symphony roll. She loved it!!
Amanda H — Google review
We ordered crispy salmon and geisha sushi. The crispy salmon was dry, geisha was okay. Both sushis were sweet in taste which I'm not used to. Had to balance it with cucumber salad which was really good. Ordered massaman curry on the side, ate that for three days! It was tasty as well as humongous in size. Fried cheesecake was tasty, not a big fan of chocolate orange duo though. Service and ambience was great 👍

Second time here just gets better. Chef Leo is the best when making your dishes. This chef practice tender loving care when preparing your food. Sarah waited on us she was on the spot impressive. Sarah can take your order to detail without writing it down. This is a rare event. When in Gainesville most stop in and try this place. Not enough people here to work . Ask about chef special dishes not only the menu made specifically for the customer

I sincerely enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this restaurant. Staff are polite and friendly. What impressed me the most was the chef’s skill and ability in preparing the sushi rolls. The Volcano and the Samurai are beautiful and full of flavor. The rich deep flavors are amazing. I can’t wait to return and try more rolls. I think this chef has the right to claim #1. I love other places and I’m adding this guy to my list of go to places. I’d like to thank him or her. Enjoyed the edinomi and miso soup as well. Enjoy your weekend 😊

Crane Ramen is a trendy Japanese spot known for its locally sourced ingredients and creative cocktails. The modern interior features an open kitchen and unique decor, including illustrated placemats demonstrating the proper way to eat ramen. The restaurant's logo, a crane over an empty stack of bowls, symbolizes longevity and ties into the concept of noodles representing long life in some Asian cultures. Despite having a concise menu, each dish is bursting with flavor.
Great ramen place! For the amount of food you get, the prices are very reasonable. Their broths are delicious and flavorful, noodles cooked to the right firmness, and toppings are included without extra charge. Appetizers are also delicious. I didn't get to try their drinks or cocktails, but I'll definitely have to go back soon. Service was fast and decor is casual and comfortable.

This was my first time here and I was very pleased. The decor of the restaurant is really nice and I like the open kitchen concept. It was cool to see the chefs working hard to make the food so delicious. We started with the pork buns and I was really happy with them. The meat was tender and I really liked the spicy sauce. Not sure what it was but I liked it. The greens gave a nice little crunch and fresh flavor and the buns had a nice chewy texture with a slight sweetness to them. I loved them. I ordered the shoyu ramen and my boyfriend had the tonkotsu ramen. I got two massive pieces of pork in my bowl and I was not disappointed at all. The meat was so tender and you definitely get your moneys worth with all of what you get in a bowl. We were both very pleased with our choices. There was enough for me to take home and I enjoyed it the next day. Overall would recommend and am interested in coming back to try some other stuff on the menu.

We went for our first time on a Saturday night and the staff were so nice and accommodating in seating us inside quickly. Our server gave great recommendations on what to try for our firsr time. We started off with the gyoza and pork belly buns, and both were FANTASTIC wow. Then entrees we got the shio ramen and the shoyu ramen which were also delicious. Everything arrived so quickly, hot and great. Multiple staff members checked in with us and made us feel well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Fast-forward 5 years. Major improvements to service. The restaurant is really fine-tuned. Menu is balanced and rich. Vegetarian options are up to par. Updating to 5 stars and adding a couple of photos. Strange service (fast and aggressive) but they get the job done. A slightly different experience, with a good vegetarian bowl available.

Super fast food, we didn't have to wait long at all after ordering. It was our first time but it seems like it gets busy quickly. If you have a large group you might want to make a reservation. Food was great, very tasty. Staff was very nice and we had a great experience.

The staff is fantastic! Said that the wait was 15 minutes but they got us in before five minutes was up. Super helpful with getting my disabled father to the table. Food was pretty good, but I've definitely had better at that price. The best thing we had was the pork belly steamed buns.

Great vegan ramen and tofu buns! Everything about the place seems aesthetically planned. The walls, the banners, the teapots, the little ceramic teacups - everything is so unique and flows together nicely. Service was very quick and helpful. Also, there's a note at the beginning of the menu that tells you where they get their meat, animal byproducts, and ramen noodles, which is very considerate.

Wow, haven't been here in a while, but it was a great evening with karaoke 😀 and chatting with the vendors in the Farmer's Market. It was a beautiful breezy night! Kat was an awesome karaoke host, and everyone was having a great time! Service was great, and the food full of flavor; but mine was really oily. One Live cafe has a lot of character and great vibes! They have plenty of outdoor seating with a stage that always has live music. When you walk up, you must enter the building to order your food, then you get a number and have to find a table. Since it’s first come first serve, it can sometimes be hard to find an open spot if it’s a Friday night. The food itself is pretty good but has small portions (I’m small so me not getting enough is pretty difficult to do). There is also a big field that kids use to play sports or just run around. They have a full service bar with great cocktail options, a public restroom and plenty of parking.

A one-of-a-kind gem in Gainesville! It’s got amazing live music almost every day, and great drinks. Both a neighborhood spot but open and friendly to everyone alike. I could see this place becoming a very hot spot in the near future. Super kid friendly. An overall good vibe. 🥰

Went here as I was passing through for my puppies surgery and had a few hours to kill. It is dog friendly and the gave bowls for water for them. I got the One Love Club and Cowboy beans. Both were good. I also special requested the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade. It is such a relaxing place to just hang out at. I was able to sit with my tablet and snack for about an hour or so before his surgery. Staff was really friendly and there was no rush to go anywhere. I was I was able to experience the live music, but I had to fly back out the same day. I would definitely be back when I’m in the area. Just check the hours on their menu as they do close between lunch and dinner. It is an open restaurant, no indoor seating, but there were also no bugs, which was lovely!! I was just happy to find a place that I could take my dog and not be rushed.

Chick-fil-A is a popular fast-food chain known for its delicious chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and fresh salads. While some find the prices to be on the higher side, many agree that the quality of food justifies the cost. Customers rave about their signature lemonade made with fresh lemons and highly recommend trying the Chick-fil-A sauce. Despite occasional issues like broken A/C and crowded seating, visitors appreciate the efficient service during busy times.

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip. Food was amazing as always. My only complaint was that I ordered a number 8, which should have been a wrap, but the attendant put it down as an 8 count nuggets. Not the end of the world, I wasn't going to go inside to make it right. The nuggets were easier to eat while driving, and I was thankful to have something to eat.

was very hastful, limited interaction with the drive through workers, literally wanted us on each other's butts so they could try and fit everyone in. It took longer to order cause the lady kept walking forward telling us to move; it literally could of taken 1 minute at most to order, but it took around 5 minutes, cause she kept pausing us speaking, saying move forward, or she'd just walk ahead ignoring as we were still speaking, in all the interactive mess, she still inputed one of the orders wrong, we said meal not just the sandwich, and we only got the sandwich, luckily looking at the receipt it was just the sandwich charged. The fries were bland Is barely any salt, hardly any sauce given for what was ordered, and they gave no fork for the mac & cheese.

TLDR: stops serving breakfast before 10:30 with no remorse or apology. Worst run chick fil a I have ever seen. Really was craving chicken minis so ordered them online on the app at about 10:10am. Arrived at the restaurant at 10:20am, checking in online. Sat in line for a while only to be told when we got to the window that breakfast was no longer available. This tells me that they didn’t just stop making breakfast at 10:30, they had to have stopped making it at least 10 minutes before they were supposed to. Who wants lunch at 10:30am in the morning??? Very sad to see the downfall of chick fil a, I went to the Fort Myers Chick Fil A at the VERY last minute MANY times and was NEVER denied breakfast. Also, the chicken is no longer good after they changed it a while back. Chick Fil A is dead.

I came back to Chick-fil-A the next day after my order was wrong since I couldn’t return the day it happened, and Zach absolutely went above and beyond to make it right. He gave me a free meal, assured me it wouldn’t happen again, and was incredibly kind through the whole process. But Zach didn’t stop there. I also happened to have a flat tire that day, and not only did he help me with it, but then he went the extra mile (literally) and offered me his Lamborghini to borrow. When I told him I didn’t have the money to rent a Lamborghini, Zach just laughed, handed me the keys, and even gave me $10,000 to make sure my day turned around. Honestly, Chick-fil-A is known for great customer service, but Zach is on another level. If every location had a Zach, the world would be a much better place. We need more people like him out there.

I don't say this lightly. This is one of the best burgers I've had in the country. Excellent beefy flavor, pick your topping on your bun while it cooks. fries were perfect also. Highly recommend this place.

This was our first time at Relish and the concept is pretty cool! You get to customize your burger similar to a Subway, which is fun. * Highlights: The garlic mayo was delicious. The unique ketchup option (I can't recall the name) was also a good choice. * Disappointments: The chicken sandwich patty was a bit processed, and I was expecting thicker burgers. * Service: The staff was friendly and service was quick. Overall, it was a decent experience. We'd be interested in trying it again and exploring more of the menu options."

Just had lunch for the first time at Relish and I LOVED IT! Kaylin on register was 120% delightful, charming, and friendly. Anton was also so engaging and friendly. The burgers and sweet potato fries were *chefs kiss* - kinda like a homemade vibe but with way fancier buns. Love the fixin’s assembly line style. Music selection was great, atmosphere was chill. Comfy booths to sit in. I will definitely be making this a regular stop. Thanks for such a pleasant lunch experience!

My husband and I had a craving for a burger and fries after work so we ordered from the app. I ordered a single well-done cheeseburger with Swiss cheese, and my husband got a well-done double cheeseburger also with Swiss plus large fries on the side. The order cost about $30 with a tip, and it was ready in about 20 minutes which was enough time to get parking. I used my phone number for the order, so I was automatically texted when the order was ready for pickup - pretty convenient for people that lose track of time. Parking during the dinnertime crowd is a bit rough, but we were lucky and able to find a spot right in front of Dragonfly Sushi, which is 1 storefront away from Relish. Street parking is metered until 5 pm, and there are also free 15-minute spots for food pickup. The food was excellent. 1000% satisfied the burger craving. The only very minor complaint that we had was that the "large" fries were underwhelming (it was about 1 cup of fries?) and could probably be considered closer to a small. However, what the fries order lacked in quantity, it made up for in quality - crispy on the outside and soft / cooked on the inside. Other than the size of the fries order, everything else was perfect and tasted delicious. Best Monday night burger in Gainesville ✨️ we'll be back again!

What the actual heck… ordered the tasty double burger which was almost $20 and received the blandest, driest burger without any of the toppings or veggies that were supposed to come with it. Literally the worst burgers we have ever had. Relish should be ashamed they’d make a burger this bad and bland

Good burgers with free toppings and sauces , such as peanut butter and strawberry jam. You get to choose what goes on your burger subway style.

As a person who has had terrible luck & experiences with restaurants. This was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I have had. The manager went above & beyond to help me(I think his name is Anton). The customer service was excellent & the employees were really friendly. Thank you for being kind & helping me. It genuinely meant a lot.

Karma Cream is a popular counter-serve operation located on University, offering a variety of organic coffee, vegan sandwiches, and delectable ice cream. The café boasts an array of dairy-free and vegan options that are so delicious they're hard to distinguish from their dairy counterparts. In addition to their wide selection of coffee choices, Karma Cream also serves up an assortment of pastries and ice creams daily.
Karma Cream is a fantastic place for coffee lovers! I was here with my husband and we loved their coffee. Their bakery selection is just good, with delicious pastries, including vegan options. It's also a perfect spot to sit and work while enjoying a nice cup of coffee. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for great coffee!

I would like to share some feedback regarding the service. The cashier with curly hair and a septum ring did not greet me and seemed somewhat disengaged, which made the interaction feel a bit unwelcoming. I believe that a warm greeting and a more friendly approach when assisting guests would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.

Came in on Friday 12th for an iced coffee and a naughty treat. The iced lattes came in a glass which was really nice! Love that you have lots of vegan options 💚 which made it a great experience for us! The woman working making drinks was miserable, she didn’t acknowledge us even when we said thank you. The guy working was nice and friendly.

Decent spot with room for improvement. Karma Cream is an okay place overall, and I can see why people like it. The location is great -- easy to get to, walkable, and the inside is a pleasant spot to sit, get some work done, or meet up with friends. The vibe is a strong point. The food and ice cream are fine, though I personally find them a bit too sweet. Nothing bad, just not very balanced in flavor. As a tea drinker, the drinks are where I feel most underwhelmed. The tea tends to be over-steeped, and the chai in particular is extremely over-spiced. I could practically feel the cinnamon permeate my soul -- it’s intense but still just drinkable. It’s not a bad place, and I wouldn’t mind coming back for the atmosphere. With a few tweaks to sweetness and tea preparation, it could easily move up in rating.

It's fine. Tried on a friend's suggestion but kinda disappointing. They were closing early at 2p bc students aren't in town and they didn't have any baked goods so menu was super limited. The strawberry matcha however was phenomenal and most places really disappoint on these so thank you. Tasty but overpriced and all of it is vegan, so make sure that's what you want!

I come here pretty often but I just had the most amazing breakfast today and I needed to leave a review, whatever they got going on with their special menu right now is so good we got coffees and the breakfast sandwich. highly recommend. service was good today some days it can be a little lacking tho. food seems to all be made to order so sometimes takes a little longer for the sandwiches but it's worth it. great food and coffee today

I got a cookies and cream scoop and strawberry scoop! The cookies and cream was perfect the Oreos in it wasn’t super crunchy it blended well with the icecream it was good! Now the strawberry I didn’t like. It kind of tasted like strawberry cheesecake icecream. I wasn’t a fan personally. The waffle cone was very good and fresh! Cost wise I got one scoop for my daughter in a bowl and I got 2 scoops in a waffle cone for me. It was $10 so definitely very affordable. Last the one thing I love most is everything in there is vegan!! It’s hard to find fully vegan places so finding this was amazing they have so many different flavors. Definitely will come visit again and try all the flavors !

I used to visit this place all the time primarily to study, but I don't go as much anymore because unless I go at 8 AM, all of the seats are taken 😭. Glad to see business booming though! Karma Cream is in a super convenient location and has an incredible atmosphere. All of the staff are super cool and easy to chat with, but shoutout to Joe, Autumn, Gabby, Angie, & Jaylen. They're all so awesome. The owner, Kyle, is also a pretty cool guy. The drinks here are always pretty on-point & consistent in quality across the board, & I really appreciate that they don't upcharge for alternative milk. Also as a non-vegetarian, I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the food here. Definitely pay this place a visit & you might just want to come back.

Loosey's Downtown Gainesville, located on South West First Avenue, is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. The bar offers a wide selection of U.S. craft beers and features live music by talented Gainesville musicians. The menu boasts regionally sourced foods made from local ingredients, including favorites like two-bite tacos, chef's special mac n cheese, and fried shrimp seafood dinner.
Omg $10 burger night. And these are great burgers. Love the servers, love the mock tails, love the fries. Fun to sit outside with friends. Highly recommend.

Was a bit hungry and I was looking for Steak Bites. The Steak Frites was the closest I could come to it. A little too much gristle and not enough flavor. It was a pretty good size for $22. I ate a good portion of it. The sides were not best selections. The fries did taste a bit decent. My wife wasn’t crazy with her Burger, as they undercooked it and she had to send it back. The service is a tad bit slow, looks like they can pick up the pace a little. Place is a pub, I can’t say it’s a bright lighted place. It could use a little more life. Would I come back? Maybe. I give it a 3.5

I found this place in the Bring Fido app and went because I thought it would be dog friendly. It was hot and my server didn’t bring our dogs water. We ordered and waited over 10 minutes for a beer and a drink. Walking past the bar on the way to the bathroom, we saw our drinks sitting there. By the time they came to the table, the ice cubes in the drink had watered it down and he did not bring a glass with the can of beer. Our waiter was clearly distracted or angry or he just hates his job. When our neighbors asked for to go box, he brought a small one. When they pointed to their plates (almost full) and asked for a bigger box, he came back and literally threw it at their table. This was, by far, the worst service I’ve experienced in a long time. The neighborhood is rough and while we were there a large group on bikes came and allowed their kids to do bike tricks right next to the tables making the dogs afraid and all of us sitting outside very uncomfortable. Everything about this place screamed NOT WELCOMING!!! The food was alright when it finally came, though he got our burger toppings wrong and my friends hush puppies were completely raw on the inside. We won’t be back and as for “dog friendly” - no. We sat there over an hour in the hot sun and were never offered any water for our dogs. I ended up putting my glass of water in the floor for the dogs to have a drink! No thank you!
Kytka — Google review
The steak wasn't seasoned enough for me and contained more fat than meat. The fries as a side tasted way better. The margarita was on point but the other drink (called bitty something) was bland. Overall good atmosphere and decent food. If I were back in the area though, I would try another place before coming back.
ALA M — Google review
The rating is respective of the place, not overall in the restaurant landscape. It’s what I call a little dusty, divey, with good food and college town specials. Three of us had a burger, a chimichurri chicken and Chic-Fil-Loosey’s Nashville Hot, all with hand cut fries cooked perfectly crisp. The burger was decent sized and cooked well, tasted fresh as did the full set-up, and the chimichurri chicken was good and daughter made it disappear quickly. The Nashville hot was great, crispy, moist and very spicy! I’d do it again! They also have music on weekend nights when we’ve been there. And it’s a good mix of students and some locals, and visiting parents. It has plenty of outdoor seating when then weather’s nice and let’s are welcome. The Sunday drink specials was happy hour all day, great specialty cocktails and Mocktails, I had the $2 PBR tall boy since I was feeling retro collegiate. 🤪 We’ve been about 4-5 over the years and will continue to support them since we all enjoy the place and the service from Elliott was spot on, bravo!!

From groups of people playing trivia to excellent food, to music I didn't like, to watching hockey on TV, Loosey's was perfect. First there was a line of people outside waiting to order and get seats for the upcoming trivia game. I waited, though I did not play. Inside was a bar that was quite full, loud and very busy. It is a bar. Finally ordered my dinner, it is expensive at Loosey's, be ready to pay. I had the 14 oz Prime Rib Steak. IT WAS PRIME. Best damn steak I have eaten in many years. The fries that came with it were crunchy and delicious. I also ordered a Loosey Salad. It to was great. The servers were all very good and made sure everything was just perfect. Was the food, service and atmosphere worth the $40 price tag for one person? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! I very highly recommend Loosey's.

Laid back Saturday, cloudy with a chance of rain. I pop in and try some beer samples before going with the cucumber basil gin cocktail, mermaid something 😉 (it’s really good and strong ok) Then I decide to apply for a part time gig bc the vibes are immaculate here. They are playing a 90s playlist called “songs you heard in the back seat of your mom’s car.” I then order the kimchi burnt ends and cheese truffle fries and live a life happily ever after bc this place is a special gem in downtown GNV.

Nestled in a cozy corner, Country Foodly is a delightful diner that seamlessly blends Korean and American cuisines for breakfast and lunch. With its no-frills decor, this hidden gem invites you to indulge in classic favorites like country fried steak and pancakes while also tantalizing your taste buds with unique offerings such as Bulgogi Omelettes and Korean Tacos.
For the price, the variety the menu offers, and the food quality, this is a very good, unassuming diner for breakfast and lunch. It's nothing fancy! There's even Korean food offered. The blueberry pancakes, hash browns, eggs, bacon, grits, and crispy corned beef hash were all great. We arrived at 9 AM on a Saturday and found a table. By 10 AM, all tables were taken-- so arrive earlier than later! But this would also be a great place for takeout. Yelp rates this place at 4.5 stars.

Atmosphere is very rustic and kind of dingy, had a great waitress she was very friendly and prompt, The food tasted good and hit the spot. Warning though they do charge extra .50 fee to your order for no reason at all. We did not order anything extra but charged fee anyways. Don't think I will go back to again.

Great diner with such a friendly and welcoming staff! I love the unique Korean twist on their breakfast items — it makes the whole menu stand out. The spicy bulgogi omelette was absolutely amazing, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The hash browns were spot-on too — crispy outside, fluffy inside. Very flavorful all around. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

Small hole in the wall, but omg such amazing food. Mix of traditional breakfast and korean food. They had a Thai Curry Omelette that I had to go back for again, it was so good. Staff is super friendly. No fancy coffee cocktails, but genuinely good coffee. I'm a decaf drinking and always have a hard time finding good decaf at places. They made me a fresh pot and oh yeah, it was good!! I can't have too much bread, so I normally skip any side of toast or biscuit. They gave me a few options to swap, which I've never been offered elsewhere

This is the quintessential hole in the wall diner with a unique Asian twist. Their beef bulgogi Benedict is probably my favorite breakfast dish, but their lunches are excellent too.

Definitely a hidden gem!!! Y'all this place is phenomenal in every way. Tiny hole in the wall, minimal seating but we had no wait. I was not expecting a Korean breakfast place but here we are. I got the Bulgogi beef omelette and my husband got the Reuben. Hands down the BEST breakfast I've had in a while. Everything tasted so fresh, perfectly seasoned. The flavor is unmatched!! These people know what they're doing and love doing it. Don't let the small atmosphere fool you, this place is a powerhouse! We will absolutely be back over and over again. 🖤🖤🖤😋🤤

Tijuana Flats is a vibrant and quirky Mexican chain that stands out with its colorful murals and an impressive hot sauce bar, making it a must-visit for Tex-Mex enthusiasts. Known for their Taco Tuesday specials, you can indulge in two delicious tacos—available in hard or soft shells—with your choice of fillings like chicken, beef, beans, or carne—all made fresh to order. Each taco comes loaded with jalapeños, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream.
Our first time here, & it was a GREAT choice! The food was awesome & the sauce bar...so many varieties! But the very best part of our visit was Miguel, the manager! He was so helpful describing the menu & he brought us a nice sample of chips & the most popular sauces/salsas! He went above & beyond the whole time we were there, the restaurant was very clean, and thanks to his amazing service...we will return very soon! Excellent experience!

I went late on a Saturday afternoon for a takeout order. It took 25 minutes for me to get my takeout order, which seemed excessive. The food was amazing though! I got dose tacos 🌮 🌮 with blacked chicken and the double stack option which is a crunchy shell with queso to wrap a soft shell on top of the crunchy one. The chicken didn’t seem blacked but it was soft and delicious. The dose tacos come with chips and I added a side of queso. I loved the queso! I got a few options from the hot sauce bar, smack my a$$ and call me Susan was my favorite. Topped my meal off with a large Coke Zero. My total was just over $18.

I really liked this place it’s a great example of yummy Mexican foods. It’s basic and part of chain so it’s an established brand the whole family can enjoy. This particular branch has really friendly staff who are chatty and give great recommendations of the food selection. It also caters heavily to students with Gainesville being a mainly student based town so there’s fun quizzes and student related activities for everyone to enjoy so make sure you check that out if your new in town. My favourite and the star of the show for me was the hot sauce selection they have a number of local and other mixed hot sauces from all over with different brands tasting from very hot to mild. I recommend the tacos as this what I had, the chips are also freshly made and taste great with the salsa. Service dogs only and space to eat outside.

//My wife and I stopped in for the first time yesterday (7/18/2025), we were very disappointed. We both ordered the street tacos with steak. What we got were little 3 inch corn tortilla shells with maybe 6 pieces of meat on them and some weird cream sauce and some chips that were crushed (think bottom of the tortilla bag crumbles) and NO salsa. I guess you have to order that separately. No accommodations to swap out corn for flour tortillas (oh we don't have flour tortilla shells that size) . Ok no biggie but kind of disappointing. I ordered a coke zero while the wife got some mango juice thing (it was terrible, no flavor at all.) Half the hot sauces on the bar were either completely empty or just did not work. We paid almost $30 for this. There is absolutely nothing at this place that would make me or the wife want to come back and try anything else they have to offer. I guess if we want Street Tacos we will hit up one of the other dozen Mexican places around Gainesville.

On the SW side of Gainesville, love this restaurant chain. Food was really good, staff were friendly and attentive. Portions were fair some items better than others. The Shrimp bowl was delicious with a generous helping. The chalupa tasted great with a ok portion. As always love the selection of Hot Sauces, I had to try 7 of them. Also their Margarita was good too.

I got a chicken taco with a hard shell and I really liked it. I also got their queso and I enjoyed that. My boyfriend likes their beef tacos. They also have a really large collection of sauces which is nice, my favorite is Jason’s OG. They bring out your food to you and it doesn’t take too long. The restaurant is clean and the workers are nice

Victoria filled custom donuts for me that were the absolute best I've ever had anywhere!!!! She and Genesis are such wonderful ladies they make us feel like family every time we visit! Superb customer service sweet sweet ladies to welcome anyone to your store!!!! And donuts are beyond scrumptious!!!!!!
Patty S — Google review
I politely asked if the donuts in the front case were the only ones available at the moment. The girl laughs and says “yeah pretty much”. So starting off great. I tell her I want a dozen assorted. She walks to the back (presumably to use donuts in the back instead of the ones in the case, which is fine). But there was no way for me to know that. A few minutes later a different girl asks, “what was it that you wanted?” I tell her. The two girls then get into an exchange about her already have made my dozen, loudly saying “I don’t know why he told you to do that”. I then pay and the girl at the register says have a good day. I was already aggravated, so I grab my box, keep my mouth shut, and head towards the door. The girl then says “or not!” As I’m walking out. Real pride and joy people you have working here. Absolutely awful customer service to someone who said nothing rude, did nothing wrong, and was polite the whole time. One of very few reviews I have written in my entire life. That should say a lot.

I sent my husband to Krispy Kreme to get 2 dozen donuts around 1pm this Wednesday while I waited in the car. The lines to the counter were confusing and longer than usual. There are no signs indicating where the line actually starts so people were cutting in line until the manager said to get behind the first person in line (which happened to be my husband 😏). Now about the donuts, the plain Krispy Kreme doughnuts are green in honor of St.Patrick's Day so don't expect regular looking donuts today. They still taste great though. And despite the messy chocolate on the box top of the other dozen donuts (which is expected since they were fresh from the line), the Boston Creme donuts still tasted delicious. 😋 Thanks for making our 20 mile trip worth it. Photo update: 1/5/2023 of a mixed dozen creme filled donuts and frosted chocolate. Fast, friendly service 👍very short line for a Thursday evening.

Would give it 10 stars for high quality of savory and sweets, smooth coffee served in real china!! OMG and the fine tea selection is served with proper timer for brewing and so European! Yes, for those remaining souls that appreciate the fine details- this is heaven! Lovely 2 team members at the register, thank you for your sweet and caring service🙏, as that too is almost extinct at most coffee places. Convenient location , comfortable atmosphere. A few more varieties of non dairy milk options would be nice to choose from, soy was free but oat cost $0.50 extra. We ordered four different drinks and honestly they all tasted the same. They weren’t bad, just nothing terribly exciting or different about them. It was nice to find an actual local coffee shop, besides chains or gas stations, and the staff was very friendly. I would like to try Volta again, next time I visit Gainesville.

Volta Coffee, Tea & Chocolate is a super chill coffee shop. Their pour over section of the menu didn't really have any good descriptions of the beans and what the flavor profile were for all of them. However ,the barista was more than happy to explain all their flavor profiles to me. I had their Guatemala Lucia Pablo because I was in the mood for a coffee with floral notes and so their recommendation was spot on. It was very yummy. The mug provided was stylish too. I'll have to try their chocolate drinks next time because it appears they use fresh chocolate and you can't go wrong with that!

Bagels & Noodles is a quaint restaurant that serves up classic breakfast fare as well as a variety of Asian dishes. It's often frequented by students at the University of Florida, who appreciate its quirky atmosphere and affordable prices.
I got an order of the Bún bò Huế delivered and it is delicious. The pork and beef were both fatty, tender, and delicious. The broth was super savory with the perfect amount of spice. The veggies were fresh and fragrant. And the noodles were springy and filling. Great dish! If I had to criticize it, I would say there was not enough sourness in the dish; I added a packet of hoisin sauce that it came with but it did not do enough. That is nitpicking for an amazing dish though.

It’s a nice homey small buisness. On a Saturday late morning they were already out of a lot of bagels and they kept confusing our orders even with a good POS system the kitchen couldn’t communicate with our server. Our first time here! Our first time trying the noodle bowl! Me and my son and my husband did not like either of our stuff! They were all gross! Way too much cilantro! The best thing that we ate with the fried dumplings!! Wasn't worth $50 something dollars!!! Was not impressed!!! We will definitely not come back here again ever!!!! Very disappointing!!! 😵‍💫😵🤨🤔😱😱😡😡😡😵‍💫😵😫😩😣😖

I came back! And this time this food spot deserves a 5 starts. The food was fantastic, this is definitely a hidden gem amongst Gainesville. I started off with the fried dumplings and a soup. The Ruben sandwich was my favorite out of them all. Pad Thai was very very good, good mix of flavors. The execution from start to finish was fantastic. We got the chance to explore other items of the menu, and the high quality standard was always kept on point.

Falafel restaurant
Grocery store
Falafel King is a long-standing Lebanese eatery known for its halal sandwiches and platters, as well as refreshing fruit smoothies. The restaurant offers a variety of classic Mediterranean dishes, with highlights including flavorful tabouli and creamy hummus. Customers rave about the traditional falafel pita wrap. Regulars appreciate the personalized service from the owner, who goes above and beyond to make diners feel welcome.
Amazing authentic Lebanese cuisine! 😍 This is my favorite place in Gainesville—from its deliciously rich flavor to the many fresh options to enjoy, you’re bound to find a tasty dish to satisfy your appetite. My go to meal is the garlic chicken panini, basmati rice, and grape leaves, with a side of garlic sauce, to bring it all together! In the back of the shop, you’ll find authentic Mediterranean treats, like coffee, cakes, and teas. I also suggest trying the baklava dessert, from the sweets display—it’s sensational! 😋

I really don’t like giving negative reviews to small restaurant but this was such a disappointing experience. The food is microwaved. I am not sure why the other reviews don’t mention it. The seasoning was good but it was exactly like what you would expect microwaved food to be. On the positive it was very affordable. On the bright side everyone was very nice and the baklava and hummus were actually delicious

Humble yet delicious. Nice people, affordable, healthy offerings plus a small shop at the end with Mediterranean staples and treats. My first time here...I will be back often.

Had the best dinner tonight. First time here and ordering was made easy because of the young lady at the register. She was so nice and attentive. Service was great and met the beautiful, mama chef. I had the beef platter and my bf had the lamb shank. The lamb was so tender it fell off the bone. My beef platter was delicious, especially the rice. The food was amazing and you could tell it was made intentionally with love and dedication. So worth coming to a place that feels like home.❤️
Eveling L — Google review
The food was okay, but I really like falafel that is crispy on the outside, and this wasn't. The gyro meat was good if a tad dry, and the hummus was actually pretty tasty. The place is pretty dated and in need of paint and a general refurbishing, but the service was polite and fairly speedy, so at least it had that going for it.
R. B — Google review
Mixed review. Prices were very fair. Grape leaves were delicious but I believe were canned or from a jar. Babaganoush was top notch but the pita it came with was rather flimsy age not very warm. It was a very thin pita but that must be their style. Very good tabouleh salad but be warned it's heavy on the parsley side, not much grain to it. Now for the falafel... the worst! I took one bite and didn't eat the rest. See picture. They bake the falafel. There is no fryer. The cashier asked me how I liked the food and I told him about the falafel, so he brought me s new batch! Nice service! The second one was a little better but not a palate pleaser for me. He was genuinely concerned for my happiness. I heard him with other customers too. Nice place. I'll be back for the grape leaves and the babaganoush.

Excellent ambiance and clean bathroom. Courteous and personal service. Lamb dish is worth trying and everything else is amazingly tasty. Excellent healthy choices. Highly recommend for families as well.

I recently visited Falafel King in Gainesville and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the staff was incredibly friendly. I decided to try their mint lemonade and it was absolutely delicious - the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. For my main course, I ordered the lamb chops, falafel platter, and beef pitta. Each dish was cooked to perfection and the flavors were out of this world. The lamb chops were tender and flavorful, the falafel platter was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the beef pitta was seasoned just right. I was also pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes - I left feeling completely satisfied. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service that was provided. Overall, I would highly recommend Falafel King to anyone looking for delicious Mediterranean cuisine in Gainesville. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu items in the future. Thank you, Falafel King, for a wonderful dining experience!

Halo Potato - Main Street is a popular spot in downtown Gainesville known for its unique potato donuts made with locally sourced ingredients. The menu features a variety of flavors like lemon ginger and Florida buckeye, making it a must-try for donut enthusiasts. Originally starting as a food truck, the establishment has now become a staple on Main Street. Despite the sad news of its upcoming closure after six years, Halo Potato Donuts continues to attract visitors with their delicious offerings.
I wasn't sure what to think about when it comes to a potato donut until I tried it. I had two different ones one chocolate and one cinnamon flavoured one. Both were great. A must have for breakfast especially if you have a sweet tooth. A nice treat when you want a break from the regular breakfast / brunch options. I did not get to try all, so can't comment which one is my favourite but definitely recommended. Love from Berlin 🇩🇪 #DishtApproved

Donuts here pretty good and it’s a different texture and taste, it was worth the experience, but not as much as the hype about them. The stores hours are very limited, long drive through line, and each donut costs around $2.5-3, which is a bit overpriced for it. Worth the try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way again to get them!
Damon G — Google review
Wow, when my son told me let’s go and get some potato donuts I was like yes! We had two options either get out of the car and buy our donuts as we eat there or stay in the car and do it like a drive-through and that’s the one that we did because of the weather. Since it was cold it was better to stay in the car as we drove around until we got to this young guy very nice and a attentive who took our order. We had three different donuts, the maple one, vanilla, and chocolate and peanut butter. My favorite was the maple one even though the other two were as delicious too. The taste of these donuts it’s a little bit different you can see how rich is because of the potatoes. I didn’t feel that they were heavy but they were so good! I like the fact that the prices were not extreme for me they were reasonable and the service overall here was outstanding!
Your W — Google review
These are some great donuts!! The dough is more dense than the typical donut (from the potatoes they use), but it's still fluffy! I'd love to see if they can make mochi donuts or incorporate ube? The flavors they have are fairly typical, but my favorites so far are the maple blueberry and maple bacon. Prices are fair and I'm really glad they have order online options. Would come again when I get another donut craving! Edit: Had to come back when they came up with their yeast potato donuts! Love that they are fluffier and their weekly special flavors are always so fun!
Nancy — Google review
We picked up 2 donuts on our way to the Hawthorne trail. The shop opens exactly at 7am in the morning and there are people waiting outside from 6 45am! We got lemon blueberry and cookies and cream donut. Its take-out so you can carry your donut. After cycling for 16miles we had our donuts at the end of the trail and it was huge, a bit crispy and fresh. It tasted so fresh and the sweetness was not over powering at all. Definitely worth the wait! There are 2 fancy table and bench outside where you can enjoy your coffee and donuts! 🍩

The most friendly staff and the most amazing collection of donuts. Their coffee is out of this world! I cannot believe I have missed this Gainesville gem! A must to go place for Gainesville native or anyone passing by. Make sure to be there a little early than their closing times because they run out fast!
Shriyansh K — Google review
Over priced donuts. Really nothing special about them. The cinnamon roll one was alright, the cookie and cream was very dense and was so so. The triple berry (special of the week) was the "best" one they had but $17 for 5 donuts with nothing special about them. Waited in line for about 15 minutes and went by pretty quick. Walk up onlys.
Shayler L — Google review
The donuts here are good and the texture is interesting. I’ve never had potato donuts before and they are definitely a must try. So many flavors to chose from...My fav: cookies and creme. I waited about 20 minutes in line but it was worth the wait. Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. I did not try their coffee but i heard it is just as good as their donuts. Will try it next time!

If you're in the mood for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, Crispy Baguette is definitely the place to go. They have a variety of sandwiches and noodle bowls that will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Their curry is also amazing, and would be perfect for anyone looking for a hearty meal.
My first time here I ordered the pineapple fried rice with BBQ chicken - it was absolutely delicious and came with huge portions! This restaurant (and it’s sister restaurant, Red Rice Kitchen) have some of the best Southeast Asian food in Gainesville. I’ve also ordered the Bahn Mi and it, too, is delicious. I highly recommend Crispy Baguette :)
James Y — Google review
I hate giving bad reviews, but the banh mi from here is just awful, especially given the price. I don’t know why I expected a good banh mi from midtown but I learned my lesson. I came here at around 4 p.m and ordered a banh mi, so not even middle of the night or anything. It came out to $10 for one 8-inch banh mi which is already extremely expensive, given that they traditionally fetch $5-$7 a piece. When I actually received the banh mi it was just not good. There was no contrast of textures and flavors like a normal banh mi has with the daikon, crispy bread, carrots, and meat. The bread itself tasted like it had been out for days and was very stale and barely warm despite just being served . The carrots were terribly cut and somehow soggy. The other toppings flavor and serving size for the price were also extremely disappointing. Even the presentation was just ugly when compared to how a banh mi normally looks. Needless to say, but my girlfriend and I both left hungry and very disappointed. Their other items may be good, but AVOID the banh mi here. It’s overpriced, not flavorful, and disappointing.
Nathaniel D — Google review
Good vietnamese/asian fusion food and great service, but the menu is too diverse. I really loved that the bread for the Bahn mi was crispy, but the proportion of meat to veggies to pate was off. Also, they only had pickled carrots and not Daikon radish in the Bahn mi. The chicken wings with house sauce had way too much fish sauce that it overwhelmed all the other flavors. Out of everything we ordered, I probably liked my stir fry dish the most. I would definitely suggest to try to limit the menu so that they can focus and do a few things extremely well (i.e. Bahn mi) rather than try to do too much. The wait was long, but prices are very reasonable. I'll come back to try their traditional vietnamese cold cut bahn mi.
Nancy — Google review
UPDATE: irregular hours, dirty store. I give up on this restaurant. I am not a banh mi person so I can’t compare. But as a sandwich expert, the Saigon Special Grilled Pork was SO tasty! Cucumber was so fresh, pork sauce was so tasty and the bread unbelievably fresh! Hubby’s bbq chicken was was also excellent. We will be back. Just wish the whole restaurant was cleaner!

Delicious food! I'm so glad we tried this place! We got: - BBQ Grilled Pork Baguette (8 inch) - Signature Crispy Chicken Baguette (8 inch) - Japanese Chicken Teriyaki Bowl (with Pineapple Fried Rice) - Vietnamese Shaken Beef Bowl (with Garlic Egg Noodle)

Great find! Had the vermicelli noodles with beef and shrimp. Great flavor and large portion. The egg roll was crispy, fresh and not greasy. Definitely will be back to try the Banh Mi!!!
Anthony S — Google review
As a friend of mine called it when we went, Crispy Baguette is best described as a "hole in the wall" type of place. While searching for a brunch cafe to eat at, without looking at the description we found ourselves at Crispy Baguette. Much to my surprise, the french influences to this Vietnamese joint paired perfectly to make one of the best casual dining experiences in Gainesville. Whether you get a bowl or baguette, asian soda or sushi, you can't go wrong sampling from there well-priced and broad menu.
Max B — Google review
Let me start by saying Crispy Baguette is by far one of the best places I've ever eaten at. It's inconspicuously tucked away in a back corner making it slightly hard to find but its so worth it. They have a broad menu of Vietnamese and French inspired food as well as some others. I personally chose the japanese teryaki chicken with rice (a conservative choice I know) and the quality and portion size was astounding; it tasted amazing and I even have some leftovers. I also jad the thai tea and it was easily the best I have ever had. As for service, the employees were very nice and speedy. If I could give more than 5 stars i would. I will definitely be coming back.

This Cambodian spot in Gainesville is a great choice for exotic cuisine. The staff are friendly and the food is consistently delicious. There's also a take-out option to make dinning easy.
What a great find in Gainesville! Cambodia is not Vietnam and not Thai. It’s all its own! Soap is more subtle. Food is more delicate. Service is great! Get the spring roll(not the same as you’re used to) flat noodle beef stir fry, beef & chicken skewers, and the delicate noodle soup! Kind and attentive service all at a great price as well!

The food was tasty and fresh. Staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere. Fair prices. Uncomplicated menu. It was nice to try Cambodian cuisine and see how it compares to Thai and Vietnamese.

We got delivery from here and really liked their Ba Bong bowl, but nothing in particular stood out and took it to the next level. It's very similar to the Vietnamese vermicelli noodle bowls. Huge portions for a very reasonable price. Delivery was relatively fast. Looking forward to trying more things soon! Edit: Highly recommend the skewers!

It was a delight to visit Prum’s Kitchen. A smaller joint with traditional and tasteful decorations, this spot easily accommodated my small group. Starting with a delicious boba Thai tea, the tapioca pearls were cooked perfectly and the drink was sweet and prepared very aesthetically. The price for this was low, around $3.00. I very much enjoyed the Ba Bong with beef. Recommended with the house fish sauce and chili sauce, it was light and delicious, full of vegetables to mix in. It was a huge serving as well and very reasonably priced, around $10. And the included egg rolls are legitimately some of the best I’ve ever had. Perhaps the best part of all was Bo Prum, the Cambodian owner, and the amazing server we had, Alli. He made a point to greet us warmly while we were eating and ask us our opinions. Alli was hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Fun and friendly, she tastefully towed the line between interesting and kind. This is definitely a new favorite here in Gainesville. I will be back to see Bo and Alli!

Craft burgers, Beer on tap, open wall to outdoor seating, right on Archer Rd. Food is a-la-carte, and craft food is more costly, but as you know that going into it there is no major surprises. I was expecting slightly larger burgers, but really pleased with how filling my food was, which made me content verses what I was expecting. I was not disappointed at all. Onion Rings were certainly colossal, and had Cajun seasoning on both the ring & fries. I had opted for the BBQ burger, and the flavor combination was stellar. Service was pleasant and timely.

Anthony was our cook, Isabelle was our cashier and food runner today and all I can say is it was great food, great service and an awesome atmosphere, went in for a burger and got a burger, chicken tenders, and onion rings. The tenders were thick but tasted good and the burger was perfect. The onion rings are large light and crispy.

Ellie was the best! I order ultimate bacon and cheese, regular fries and a chocolate milkshake, the price is nice considering the quality of the food and the custard is better than traditional ice cream. But the greatest part about coming here was being greeted by Ellie, she took our order and seated us in a nice spot made us feel very welcome and she is so kind and professional! Also the restaurant is very creative in design, visually appealing and clean smelling, fresh feeling environment. Best burgers and service I ever got in Gainesville or anywhere in Florida
-Infamous-Toky0 S — Google review
The cheeseburger I experienced here reminds me of In-N-Out with larger patties. I thought it was flavorful and cooked well, crumbling in your mouth with every bite. The fries in the other hand were the worst I have had in a long time. Soggy and dry. The outdoor patio area is why we visited, so I can bring my large dog along. There's even a sign stating dogs welcome outside. 👍 A great burger to crave, next time I'll try a different location to see if the fries are any better.

We have been patrons for years since living in south Florida. Pollo is a taste of home for us. After an extensive wait in drive thru over 30 minutes, Chicken was delicious hot and moist, rice and beans perfect and extra plantains. I tried a rum and coke new offering was three bucks well spent 5.8 % Flan And Quattro leche to finish. Four star rating because we had the eat in the parking lot because corporate has not opened to full service yet thus long wait in drive through and dinner in the car. Otherwise great value and food great employees much appreciated

Though not the "original setting" from the late 80s concept back in Miami, this chain can still deliver its Caribbean taste. I tried their Tropical Trio dish and was satisfied. Tables could use some cleaning between customers and/or when empty, I do miss not seeing the chickens being broiled/cooked from the front counter, though☺️

Food was as always... But service was everything but so. You can tell thst management was lack... The place was very unorganized and slow. It’s been few years since I been in to a Pollo Tropical. I was disappointed with the chicken breast was dry and hard to cut(they didn’t have knifes and even saw another couple asking for a knife), wedges were old and.hard as you can see in the picture. Overall taste/seasoning is not there, atmosphere/ was not what I expected or remember, it was hip hop instead of Spanish music. Now service was great, very friendly, please keep that up, food and atmosphere please step that up, I would hate to see this place go down anymore. Thank you!
Chosenoneholy1 — Google review
Obviously, something is wrong with this restaurant. There's a need for the corporate office to intervene and fix this place. It's nowhere near to the name "Pollo Tropical". That's not the Pollo Tropical I'm used to in South Florida. Too many inconsistencies!
Yves D — Google review
I have frequently visited Pollo Tropical through the years and just recently the service and food have gone down hill. Lobby not open and the drive through takes forever. Most days they are out of half the menu items, tonight it was tortilla wraps...they are in the parking lot of publix! One day I got home and had no chicken in my boneless platter, tonight hair in my rice. I've complained to their corporate office and no one even calls to discuss your concerns and clearly the service isn't improving either. Save your money and go next door to Chick-fil-A.
G J — Google review
This pollo tropical is ghetto and the people up front have a dgaf attitude. Who's running this place? I ordered online and which forces curbside pickup. I waited 15 min in my truck waiting for one of the employee to come out and hand me my food. I got tired of waiting and went in and my order was not even ready. 5 minutes after telling the girl at the counter about my order they tell me they have no brown rice, no mash potatoes. So I opted for white rice and they didn't give me black beans I found out when I got to my hotel. Management needs to be fired, this is not the first time I have an issue with this place at this location. This is the first time I complain about it because its needed and upper management needs to know.
J R — Google review
This is the second time I have tried this Pollo Tropical. I believe in second chances so I thought that maybe this time would be better. I ordered the limited time only citrus marinated shrimp tropichop with yellow rice hoping for a citrus flavor on my shrimp. I was dissatisfied with my order because the rice was cold and my shrimp was not marinated or seasoned. The shrimp doesn't look like the picture and tastes boiled and plain. I asked the manager about it and she told me that all the meats are citrus marinated so there's no way it's not. I'm really confused and upset that I ordered this. :( I guess I'm not a fan.9

A fast food place in the south east, kinda like a McDonald’s with better ice cream (custard). Place was extremely crowded and it took awhile to get food that seemed too expensive for what we got. I enjoyed it, but it was underwhelming quality of food for the price. Service was wonderful!

I normally don’t leave reviews but I was very upset. Walked in no greeting and all the tables and the bar top and food menus was dirty the waitress didn’t start cleaning tables till a party of 8 walked in while I was taking pictures but still looked over me as if I wasn’t there. The cook was complaining about the customers saying they need to go home or to Perkins because he’s not in the mood. Still didn’t get greeted or asked if I needed help. They only cleaned enough tables for the party of 8 (only 2 booths) and left everything else dirty. While in the middle of cooking the cook walks away. The cook was very rude to one of the employees as well. Finally got my order took after being there for at least 25 to 20 minutes. And finally got my maybe 15 minutes later. Got a free orange juice

Visited during lunch hours. Staff was courteous and fulfilled every request that I made (of which there were 4 or 5). The food was on the expensive side, but the special I ordered put more food on my plate than other options on the same menu that were more expensive, which was interesting. I could not finish the entire waffle after everything else that was served. Facility could potentially be cleaner in some areas.

The waitress, Tracy Face was the absolute best, you couldn't have had a better waitress. Friendly, attentive, sweet, spoke to everyone that entered the door. Food was fast hot and delicious. Her service was the same, nice airy, relaxing breakfast. Great coffee.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a popular fast-food chain known for its Mexican cuisine, offering customizable burritos, tacos, and bowls. Customers appreciate the quick service and generous portions of food. Many find the prices reasonable compared to other Chipotle locations. The staff at some branches are highly praised for their excellent customer service and efficient handling of orders. Overall, patrons enjoy the quality of the food and commendable portion sizes offered by Chipotle Mexican Grill.
Ordered a double carnita burrito. All I got was half carnitas and double rice. Also got a quesadilla and a burrito bowl . The quesadilla wasnt even assembled well , everything fell out plus it was cold. The only okay thing was the burrito bowl. So basically I overpaid for a rice burrito and a quesadilla that wasnt even properly assembled. I dont see the standard of the franchise in this.

I dislike cilantro soooo very much but this place! Phew! The food is really good! I didn't go after i heard about some rumors but it was sooo good! Go for the food y'll! The service is like any other food chains and franchises, just workers in general. The place had small place to eat and crowded somewhat the layout is very small. We ordered 4 with 3 people and decided we can't sit here and eat. So we took out the food and ate somewhere else with a picnic table. It was nice.
Mishelley P — Google review
This is a tough review because the people were very friendly and fast and the food was good. However, the place is a disaster on the inside. It is very dirty and needs to be cleaned. They are very busy, but they need to hire more people to help these people keep the restaurant clean.

Based on previous experiences at Chipotle in other locations, I decided to stop by this location. As I was ordering my tacos, a staff member announced there weren't any more veggies or shredded cheese, and if I wanted queso, I still had to pay extra. The queso should have been free since there wasn't any shredded cheese. Clearly, this location is not properly managed and I firmly expressed my dissatisfaction. Furthermore, the sitting area was filthy.
LaNa P — Google review
As I’m standing here the worker in the back placed a mop handle on the cutting board and I’m disgusted. The workers are all tired and that’s understandable but they have the nastiest attitude and the cashier has headphones in. Also the entire line is nasty and messy everywhere. This is a health hazard and the reason why chipotle often has E. coli outbreaks. Also, it had looked like they hadn’t changed their gloves in hours. I’m certain this person probably moved the mop and use that cutting board immediately after.

Rice was inedible. Hard , gritty. Could only enjoy top ingredients when eating. Wanted to bring to groups attention but with the store business, the initial interaction seeming more like a bothering instance than a serving one, I decided to go here. Also heard others who were behind me in line and sitting complaining about the rice. Truly disappointed
John B — Google review
(10/19/25) Possibly the biggest menu item that they are promoting at this time is the Carne Asada. Out of the three big TV screens that they have over the counter, this item is pictured in the center screen all by itself. After Waiting in line for a ridiculously long time because they only had two people in the front, I go to place my order, and I am told that they are not serving that item. When I asked why, I was told that their manager had told them not to for some reason or another. The LEAST you could have done his put up a sign and let your customers know!
Angel R — Google review
I'm not even gonna blame the staff because they are obviously understaffed at this place bll. The management is clearly disregarding the reality that this Chipotle is missing the mark on so many levels. The line never seems to have enough people working so God save the poor worker that's trying to run both sides of the line while trying to keep a good disposition for the rightfully disgruntled customers. But don't get your hopes up by trying to circumvent the line ordering online! Because whatever line is dealing with online orders in the back is equally ineffective. The only redeeming quality was the food which at least wasn't as bad as the rest of the experience would have let you to believe.

Relish University Avenue is a popular spot in Gainesville, known for its big burgers with unique toppings and a small bar area where you can catch some sports on TV. The downtown and midtown locations are open late, making it a go-to spot for a fun Friday night. One of the highlights is their vegan burger that allows you to choose from various toppings, including unconventional options like peanut butter and jelly. Customers also praise the friendly staff and affordable prices.
Relish is probably the best burger spot in town after Five Guys. They have amazing burgers and they also have a large variety of toppings the spicy mayo is amazing. Always quick service too, good place to go after a night out. I also really like their chicken sandwich and adding an egg to your sandwich or burger for a dollar is so worth it

Wasn't expecting much when I walked n w/ both my CA n FO on this overnight here in Gainesville, Florida (GNV) but I chose to try the Alaskan salmon burger, w/ swiss cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, slices of fresh avocado, and a pineapple ring. All I can say is wow... so delicious, and I paired it w/ sum fried onion ringz w/ couple side dipping saucez like bbq, honey mustard n the garlic mayo. Everything was absolutely outstanding n delicious. So much fun to watch the food being cooked right in front of you to order on the griddle top, yhey assemble your burger like a subway asking you to point out what you would like on your burger. The bunz are so soft and not like your average hamburger bun. Your combo meal is served on a thin parchment sheet layed down on top of a mini rectangle cookie sheet w/ an open sandwich burger and whatever sides you ordered. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying this great burger place. And give that salmon patty a try. You won't regret it if you like salmon or any kine of fish.

Our first time eating here and it was amazing. The staff was super friendly, prices were affordable and then food was delicious. Actually went back here two nights ago...and it was two different people there. I definitely noticed the difference in how they same Falafel was made...not sure if it was because of them attitude difference from the first set to the second set of people but the good wasn't a good. We said we were going back to see if the third times a charm again.😋 keep eating!

Went with my boyfriend, and we both absolutely loved the place. I love how you get to customize your burger however you want. I typically don't care about fries, but this place really impressed me. The service was pretty quick and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend, and you get a lot of value for a good price. Definitely try the curry ketchup if you're into a bit more spice.

I really like this Relish. The staff are really friendly to me and my family. They're genuinely nice. Like to the point that my mom likes them. They actually asked about her last time I was there. As for the food, I love Relish burgers, and these guys do a great job. The food is hot, delicious, and ready quickly. This may be my favorite comfort food in town. 10/10

Basically think, "If I want a good burger for a good price in a nice environment." Obviously if you go at peak times there will be a bit of a wait, but if that upsets you then reconsider what you think is a problem. On my one trip there the staff was really nice and I got my food quickly. Very delicious. I'll be going here again.

Many patrons rave about the warm atmosphere created by the friendly staff, particularly highlighting the attentive management that ensures everything runs smoothly. Guests often enjoy customizing their meals, like requesting extra crispy waffles or savoring hearty breakfasts featuring eggs, sausage, and toast alongside those iconic waffles.
We visited at 11 pm on a Saturday. Our waitress, Beatriz was very friendly, excellent managing our orders, and checked on us often. Our food was cooked perfectly and it was delicious. The cooks were wearing beard nets and gloves. The restaurant was clean, the parking lot was well lit, and there was even a security guard on site.

Great location, super clean. Nicole was our server and she was super nice and attentive. The food was delicious, as always! The pecan waffles were so good!! And as always, a great price. Thank you! I’ll be back soon.

I really like the staff at this waffle house. The manager, in particular, is very good. He's responsible, keeps everyone up to speed, patient, and is a good mentor. I noticed the waffles were lighter than I prefer so I asked for it to be extra crispy, not expecting that the cook, who feels new, would be able to do it. I was wrong. There aren't any waffle houses where I'm from so being able to go to one every 5 years or so is a real treat. I loved my breakfast, 2 eggs over hard, sausage, toast and a waffle. I couldn't finish it all but I was happy. 4.6 out of 5 stars just because my table wasn't as clean as I hoped and even after I asked for it to be cleaned, it was still a bit sticky on surfaces not wiped. But otherwise a great place with a staff that likes each other and it's customers.

Good spot the people working there were great, definitely going back. Daytime shift was a little slow, not because of the cooks or the crew behind the counter. When I got there there was no table available There was a staff shortage and one of the veteran sale associates was just sitting at a table, I asked her to sit me at a table but she was busy doing her tips or something so I sat at the low bar. She was sitting while the place needed her the most, she's been with the waffle house since 2008, I believe she needs a break.

Waited 8 minutes just to get water. Allemployees talking about old toys and yelling. One waitress moping floor after afternoon rush, not cool to do around folks eating. I'm honestly surprised about how many reviews talk about how good the food is. Tried 2 custom burritos and both the oreo and regular churros and they all were fine, but nothing to write home about. The steak and onion meat was really disappointing, the pieces were small and reminded me more of overcooked ground beef than steak. And there was no seasoning either. Toppings are fine but nothing really has a ton of flavor other than the mango salsa. There are better burritos in town in my opinion. On the plus side, service was quick and online ordering made pick up super easy.
Tyler A — Google review
This place was pretty good my main complaint is that I feel like the portion size could’ve been a lot bigger because I got a bowl along with plantains and I still felt like I could have ate more. I did the make your own bowl with chicken, rice, beans and egg and it was $14 so it kind of makes sense to get one of the signature bowls because they are cheaper and some come with two proteins. My friend got the San Diego bowl and hers seemed a bit better than mine. Overall my food was pretty good and I’d go here again. I also got plantains for $1.50 which was pretty cheap and they were good . The workers there were really nice and helpful, plus our food came out really quickly. The outside seating area is also cute. The boomerang menu option sounds really good but I didn’t try it

I am extremely disappointed in the steak bowl I just received. I just spent over $25 for a bowl of sauce, pretty much. Of course I had to order it delivered through Doordash (not their fault), I am not able to receive any credit so it's $25 out the window. This is such a disappointing review to have to write because they have always given great food when I ordered in the past. Even if I could have eaten it, whoever put it together didn't even bother putting any utensils in the bag.
Angela — Google review
The food at this place might taste good, but after learning more about what goes on behind the scenes, I can no longer support this business. The owner expects professional level performance from workers, like high-speed kitchen prep and chef-level cutting skills, yet only offers minimum wage. There’s little to no proper training, and employees are frequently fired rather than taught. The environment seems stressful, and the high turnover says a lot. Even more concerning were reports of serious hygiene issues. For example, a cockroach was once found in the rice and simply removed without addressing the root problem. The kitchen is often in disarray, and it’s hard to trust how clean or safely the food is being prepared. I believe customers deserve to know not just how a place tastes, but how it treats people and handles food. For these reasons, I’ve chosen not to return.
Rimona Z — Google review

The staff here was very friendly and the food was pretty good. One of the better locations in my opinion. Not sure if other times are not as good but we ate within an hour of when they opened and the food was good. It is very convenient to the university but a little hard to drive into and out of just because of the one way streets around it. Would be an easy walk from campus.

Food was all over counter tops and I left after they were out of 3 different items that I didn’t know about until waiting in line. When waiting on brown rice to be put in container to be served the employees took his time and talked to his peers. Not in lease worried about the customers. Honestly all the employees customer service were lackluster.

When we came in and the proteins they had was Barbacoa and the pork. I’ve never had the Barbacoa and I didn’t wanna wait 10 to 15 minutes for the chicken so that’s what I got. I now know I really don’t like the Barbacoa. I didn’t know if I could just return this and ask for chicken. They also didn’t have any of their cooked veggies ready to go so I ended up just having lettuce for veg.

They gave me a cold burrito and when i asked the girl to change it for me she told me that the sides where cold and thats why it was cold. After I insisted she changed it but with a terrible attitude. Eventually she threw the burrito at me after she made it. Stay away from this location.

nothing bad to say about the food but i just had the weirdest experience ever. idk if the entire staff decided to do some psychedelics before the shift but nobody had any idea what was going on or had any care for how long the line was getting. everyone was just worried about restocking everything even things that were basically full instead of completing the orders, there were 4 or 5 workers with one on break after completing half of an order and another doing the entire line of orders in such an odd order just confusing himself and everyone else. while another girl just talked and laughed and made jokes while slopping everything around making a mess totally disregarding the customers. dude infront of me just needed his sour cream for his order that he already paid for (sour cream included) and he insisted he had to complete the other customers orders first since “he is just one person”, even tho the other lady already made the sure cream he just couldn’t gather himself to hand it over until he finished bagging our orders because again “he is one person” When everyone started questioning what was going on they became very abrasive and were still disregarding getting the job done. super weird and overstimulating experience for basically everyone involved

Don't go here. Waited 30 minutes for a chicken bowl. Over 30 people in line. Didn't have brown rice or any proteins. Didn't have cheese or any other basics for a bowl. Ordered pick up tonight and was very disappointed. You can clearly see on the receipt that I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (even paid extra for it!) but when I got home no bacon on my bacon cheeseburger. Also the toppings were minimal and sad. I had tacos here. They were terrible. Soggy tacos -- the tortilla was soggy, the vegetables had too much water, meat was decent but everything else wasn't any good. The hot sauces aren't good. They are either too sour, salty or sweet without having any real flavor to them. People working there were kind and quick. Atmosphere was meh.

El Indio Mexican Restaurant 13th St is a casual eatery that has been serving affordable and delicious Mexican food since 1992. They offer a variety of traditional Tex-Mex dishes like burritos, tacos, and enchiladas, as well as unique options such as burrito bowls and fajita nachos. On Taco Tuesdays, you can enjoy special deals on their tasty tacos. The restaurant also features a breakfast menu for early risers.
El Indio is hands down one of the best spots in Gainesville for authentic Mexican food. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a casual meal, this place never disappoints. Their street tacos are the real deal—simple, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. I highly recommend trying their beef tongue (lengua), carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas tacos. The beef tongue is incredibly tender and melts in your mouth, while the carne asada has that perfect char-grilled flavor. The al pastor is seasoned beautifully with just the right amount of spice and sweetness, and the carnitas are crispy on the edges yet juicy inside. Pair them with fresh cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime, and you’re in for an unbeatable taco experience. Beyond the food, the service is always fast and friendly, and their prices are more than reasonable for the quality you get. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Mexican food or trying street tacos for the first time, El Indio is a must-visit.
Evan N — Google review
First time I have tried this place and was not disappointed. I ordered the 2 traditional beef taco combo. The food came out hot and fast and for a pretty fair price. The tacos were great and same for the rice and beans. The seasonings were good but I could have added a little more salt for my taste. I’ll be back soon to try a burrito next. Came back and got the carne asada burrito and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be.
Matt B — Google review
Enchiladas were super dry and flavorless. The veggie taco that was supposed to come with all sorts of ingredients was made with only dry black beans, onions, and cilantro and nothing else.
Ria P — Google review
The food here was decent, and the service was very fast—almost too fast at times. It might be because this location is on the college side of town, so they’re geared toward quick in-and-out dining, which can be convenient if you’re in a hurry. However, if you’re coming in as a family looking for a more relaxed meal, the quick pace can feel a bit rushed or even slightly impersonal. We enjoyed our meal, but overall, we prefer the food and the friendlier service at their 34th Street location.

The city street view is ugly and smells but the patio itself is very nice and clean and very pleasant, this is hands down my favorite authentic restaurant..if I'm in the area I always stop by because the service is great and the food is amazing! And besides the patio I love the cultural art in the parking lot and the genuine care the staff has for your comfort and happiness. Highly recommend My uncle 💯 always has to have some every time he comes to town. I adore El Indio! I’ve been coming here since at least 2003, my mom would bring us here for slushies after school when we were younger. Definitely one of the best taco places in the area. The staff is always so nice and happy to help. I bring all my out of town friends and family here for a reason. If I could change one thing I’d say bring back the shredded chicken for tacos! ❤️
A L — Google review
I used to drive 30 minutes just to eat here. That’s how much I loved El Indio. But after today? I wouldn’t eat their food if you brought it to me for free. I ordered a kids meal and added a cheese cup. AGAIN — like the last time — the cheese cup wasn’t in the bag. THERE ALSO WAS NO NACHO CHEESE INSIDE THE BURRITO. When I called, they first tried to gaslight me and say I didn’t order it. Once I pulled up the receipt, they admitted it was on the order. Then came the excuses: “The kitchen says it was in the bag.” I was literally holding the bag — there was no cheese cup. No apology, no solution. Just rudeness. The guy who answered the phone was incredibly unprofessional — acted like there was no manager available and outright refused to make it right. This is the second time this has happened. Maui Teriyaki Grill is a must-visit for fantastic teriyaki that's of top-notch quality. The chicken is tender, the sauce rich, and the veggies fresh. The egg rolls and dumplings are also highly recommended. With modified hours, it offers ample parking in a safe area near other stores. Whether you're enjoying their delicious food on-site or taking it to go, Maui Teriyaki Grill promises a satisfying experience that's worth revisiting time and again.
Fantastic teriyaki. Hands down. No argument. Their egg rolls and dumplings are hot fire awesome too! Can you taste the quality of this teriyaki? Why yes. Yes you can. The chicken is moist and tender. The sauce is rich and thick. The veggies aren't over or under cooked. It is FRESH. Just go. Get some. Eat it. Enjoy it. Live it. You will have no regrets. And for $10 for a large chicken teriyaki? What do you have to lose? Nothing my friend, nothing.
Korrie S — Google review
I will not dine at this restaurant again. The food is not good and way overpriced. I ordered teriyaki beef powerbowl ($13) and the small container was half full, enough for a 5 year old to snack on. Also, ordered teriyaki beef only ($12) and we received 10 small pieces in a tiny container we thought it was the sauce container. This place is a joke from food taste to prices; stay away.
Mike M — Google review
It's with a heavy heart that I remember the time I had there. The crispy chicken bowl was the best, the burger was good although the fries were bad, but they'll never be another place in Gainesville that was as good and as cheap as Maui.
John F — Google review
Decent chicken for the price. Crispy chicken needs work (not crispy at all) and vegetables don't have much flavor. Normal chicken tastes fine, though
Sky M — Google review
The Maui grill is open. With modified hours. There is always parking and it is right next to Publix and a Dollar General. The parking lot feels like a safe area and you i have only see people there that are consumers of the stores. Ate here a while ago and the food was pretty good. Had a chicken teriyaki bowl (white meat) as take. I live close so it was still nice and hot.
X T — Google review
Very tasty and reasonably healthy option. The vegetables are usually very fresh and I like how you can requests more vegetablee/less rice etc to turn preference. The prices are great and I've really enjoyed the steak, chicken, and vegetable bowls. I did have one experience where the veggies were off color and looked like they were cooked earlier, but every other expression has been excellent so I'll still give 5 stars.
Mike ( — Google review
Love the food here the chickens great but they didn't give me any utensils when I ordered my food to go and wasn't able to eat it during my lunch break, super disappointed. Also got the large bowl and it was 70% rice so I would only recommend getting the medium bowl lunch special. Feel like this could be a 5 out of 5 place if they weren't penny-pinching all the time.
Pringlepeak — Google review
Been visiting Maui Teriyaki for more than a decade and when I heard they had moved locations (basically around the corner), I was worried that their food and or menu might have changed. I am happy to report though that their food is still excellent, and their menu has actually grown! Still have awesome portion sizes for a decent price, too.

Zaxby's is a popular fast-food restaurant that specializes in serving fried chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, and other classic American comfort food. Over the past six weeks or so, customers have consistently experienced friendly and welcoming service when they visit the dining room. It's great to see that the restaurant has reopened for dine-in services as it allows customers to enjoy their meals on-site.
Really nice experience on a Saturday night. Family wing night, so off to Zaxby's. Great service by Ayden. Very personable, professional, especially helpful, fast and accurate. Can't ask much more from an associate! Food is consistently good at this establishment. A bonus was meeting the manager, Kelly, and his Assistant on a Saturday night at 5 PM. As a 40 year veteran of the quick service industry, this is very unusual and a testament to the management of this store. Well done!
Joseph D — Google review
Yeah, I got takeout again lol. I got the MrBeast box for chicken fingers. Some of those fried cheddar thingies ,a drink and a piece of chocolate with two slices of bread Zaxby’s chicken is good and the salads are awesome!
Angelo — Google review
The food is usually decent, but I’ve had a couple of frustrating experiences. Once, my wings were cold. Then today, I went through the drive-through during my lunch break and was told it would take another eight-plus minutes because they were cooking the wings fresh. I understand wanting to serve fresh food, but I think the staff should inform customers about wait times upfront, especially during lunch hours when people might be on a tight schedule. Communication could definitely be improved.
D H — Google review
This is the worst food I have ever received from Zaxbys, the food was disgusting, the new salad came with one and a 1/2 piece of hard chicken tenders Brown lettuce and the Spring roll was burnt. I asked the lady at the drive-through to double check that my fries are in the bag due to them not putting it in the bag on a previous visit and she assured me it was there. I arrived home to find no fries once again. Very disappointing
Karena A — Google review
7-09-2023 - I went into eat lunch at Zaxby’s on 43rd in Gainesville, FL, I stood at the counter for nearly 10 minutes with two people behind the counter chit-chattering with each other, one finally walked up to the register and asked if he could take my order. I ordered my food to-go. Once he brought me my order, I walked over to fix my drink and decided to sit down and eat. The only item that was in the bag was the order. No Zaxbys sauce, napkins, ect. Once I walked over to a table to sit and eat, I noticed water dripping from the ceiling. Every table was dirty. Food was on the floor over a large area. Water was in several places on the floor, besides the area where the water was dripping out of the ceiling, in that area all the tables and chairs were moved and stacked. Once I ate my food and got ready to leave, the trash cans were full and over-flowing. And finally I decided to go to the bathroom to wash my hands and the trash-can there was overflowing with paper-towels. And the restaurant wasn’t even busy. This location really needs some improvements. Please see the photos. Last note: the flooring over the entire restaurant was very slippery. Like some overly large amounts of cleaning supplies was used causing the dry areas to be slippery. Very hazardous - folks can slip and fall very easily.
Brandy B — Google review
For 15 dollars They only gave me 8 wings, I ordered 10. All drums, no ranch and the sauce ain’t even covering them. Couldn’t even return it because I’m at work and my boyfriend bought them to me. By the time he got here the location was closed. I’m pissed.
Reagan T — Google review
waited 30 minutes to get to the window, got charged for the wrong order, they somehow didn’t have the right order, so i had to wait another 30 minutes for the girl at the window to re-ring up my order, which she still got wrong!!! all while the manager sat their on her phone doing nothing to help, nothing comped. worst zaxbys in town hands down

I Love NY Pizza is a great place to get pizza in New York. The crust is especially good - it's crunchy and cooked to perfection. It's also great for groups - you can eat inside or out on the patio, and there's parking nearby. If you're looking for a taste of New York that you will never forget, I recommend heading over to I Love NY Pizza!
The pizza was really delicious, with a thin and crispy crust and super fresh and juicy ingredient. I loved it 😍
Karen L — Google review
We've been to I Love N.Y Pizza many times and usually love their food, especially the paneer pizza. However, our last visit was a bit disappointing. The pizza we received was clearly overcooked, but when we brought it up, the staff insisted it wasn't burned. That was frustrating, but aside from that, the experience was still decent. The atmosphere and other menu items were as good as always. Hoping for better consistency next time!
Love K — Google review
I'm always skeptical about places that claim to have NY Pizza. I grew up in Brooklyn and in FL everyone claims to have NY Pizza but it's usually not very good. When I arrived, I was a bit worried because although I'm a "brown dude", I was surprised to see "brown folks" running a pizza spot. It smelled and looked great so I just grabbed the food and left. I brought the Pizza back to the hotel...and man...it was delicious! The crust was thick but the bottom was still nice and crunchy. The sauce was also delicious and it had good cheese. We ate every last piece, crust and all. When I'm in Gainesville again, I'll most definitely make the stop again...a few times.
Bryan R — Google review
We have a few favorites we rotate through but this time tried out the Lemon Garlic Shrimp pizza. Good choice. 😋 Our child that "didn't want to try a new pizza" had seconds.

We ordered delivery a few weeks ago at work. We ordered over the phone and the service was great. The pizza was a huge hit and disappeared quickly. Highly recommend the pepperoni rolls and the Roma pizza!! We will definitely order from here again

Great experience here tonight , food was amazing and service was excellent, kinda busy but got served fast and friendly. Paper straws gotta go tho !!!! Ban these !!! Sweet tea was good and so was the crab Rangoon’s A must visit place while in Gville for some good food

Quick service has to wait some what because of an online order but it was just two minutes. I scanned my coupon and had no issues.
Bubblelina — Google review
No free samples available. Strange for an American-Chinese chicken place. If I had samples I’d be able to tell that some of the chicken was dry. When it’s fresh it’s a lot better and you can tell by amount (full tray). That dropped value. The competition next door (bambuu) - does give free samples FYI. I would go to whoever has the fresh stuff if you want fried orange chicken or similar. Panda does not have bourbon chicken tho - while bambuu does.
Ezra N — Google review
The worker at Panda Express was really rude to me. The portions the employee gave me was horrible. I got a bigger plate and they gave me no meat at all. For my side meat he filled it up half way and for my main meats he put the bare minimum.
Alex — Google review
Absolutely poor service; no sense of urgency at all. I walked in and they had just run out of chow mein and they said it would be a 7 minute wait. I was about to for a long drive back to south florida so i thought 7 minutes wasnt bad. I ended up waiting 30 minutes for the noodles and the second i got to order, they ran out of orange chicken so i had to wait another 10 minutes. I thought this was supposed to be “fast” food.
Lenore G — Google review
Staff is really nice and friendly first time ever going to a Panda Express. Atmosphere is good very neat and clean. Also well lite inside with outside seating options. The food was okay. It lacks a flavor punch. The food has a very light subtle flavor. Not at all what I was hoping for. It is not bad place to eat. But on flavor alone I was not at all impressed by it and was really let down. The orange chicken didn't at all have the usual spice you would expect. If you are looking for a real flavor filled punch to your food. Might want to go somewhere else. All in all not bad if you are really hungry and this is all there is around.
Bonnie O — Google review
I love Panda Express because you can get so much food for not that expensive and it tastes so good their veggie spring rolls are really good. I usually get a bowl with chow mein and my favorite entrees are the honey walnut shrimp, teriyaki chicken and Beijing beef I also like Panda Express because they have healthy options. One thing I will say is I feel like you get kind of scammed when you get the bigger plates. My boyfriend always orders a bigger plate and I get the smallest one, and when you dump it out on a plate it doesn’t seem like there is that much difference in the amount of food
Britney M — Google review
I was passing by this exit on the interstate and thought I would stop by. They were out of the teriyaki sauce which I always add to my noodles which was a bummer. The food was hot but not as fresh as I am used to from other Panda Express locations. The staff were very nice and service as far as getting the food was quick. Probably won’t go by this location again as I will just catch one on another part of the interstate.

I was really excited to try zaxbys when I moved here from the west coast. I had heard tall tales of all the chicken spots In the south besting those on the west. Most of which do just that. Southern seasonings tend to be applied more graciously leading to an enriched flavor and texture in fried chicken recipes. Unfortunately I must say Zaxbys didn’t feel all dat to me. Sauces were amazing. Maybe the day I can was a one off. Or maybe the 14 min drive to my house ruined the experience. But none the less. Service was prompt. Food was edible. Nothing particularly terrible about this place. I was just expecting more. It’s a me problem

I don’t know who was in the kitchen but they tried to kill me. This was Friday August 29th. Absolutely no balance, just straight seasoning. The wings were over seasoned. I couldn’t even eat this.

I visited Zaxby’s for the first time with the fam earlier today. We got the Chicken Philly, Funnel Cake, and Chicken Tender Plate. For being fast food, the food was great. The chicken tenders and funnel cake were hot and crispy! The Zax sauce is amazing and the chicken Philly was a hit as well!! I read some other reviews of this location and it seems like placing orders has been trouble for some. We ordered through the app for in store pickup and had no issue. Our food came out within 5 minutes of the selected time. Although they forgot 1 cup we just asked for one and they gave us a free upgrade to a large cup, much appreciated!!
Pana P — Google review
The worker was laughing when i asked a question about one of the new menu items, then stated she was just laughing at something with a coworker. Then when i got my food and open the bag there was Zaxbys sauce with a hole in it placed inside a hand glove.

I was Treated very rudely by the shift manager Kelly. We ordered a large 5 finger plate and the avocado ranch tacos After getting our food I noticed that the fries was a small with too Much salty and that we didn’t have a coleslaw Also noticed the taco where the wrong type After bringing it to her attention I explained that they could just give me the difference in fries the Cole slaw and remake the tacos After waiting 15 min I noticed people who ordered way after me was sitting eating so I returned to the counter to ask if it was ready she stated she didn’t know so I asked to have the entire meal remade She then stated I’m not doing stating she was only giving a big Zac snack when I paid for a 6 tender meal large. She was slamming things on the counter and very mad that I was asking for her to remake the whole meal We requested a refund and she immediately became even more rude with us I have been to this zaxbys 100s of times and have never been treated so rudely.

Went through the drive thru. Ordered my chicken fingers and pulled up to the window. I asked for spicy zax sauce at the window and was told no and I should have ordered it at the speaker. I said I wasn't asked for what sauce choice I wanted. The girl at DT responds "we're not supposed to ask you're supposed to tell us" and would not switch out the sauce. Food is fine. Service needs work.

Sonic Drive-In is a classic fast-food spot with a nostalgic drive-in experience. The chain, which originated in Oklahoma in 1953, is famous for its Chili Cheese Coney, Sonic Cheeseburger, and an assortment of limeades and slushes. Recently, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new Sonic Drive-In location in Gainesville. Fans of the restaurant are excited about the return of the Hickory burger to the menu.
I never had a bad experience here, the food is always out relitavely quickly, always hot, and you don't have to worry about seating too often if you're either sitting in your car or eating at the tables outside. And don't even mention the slushies. They're always amazing.
Aiden M — Google review
I ordered mozzarella sticks and popcorn chicken. The mozzarella sticks were rock hard, literally inedible. As I dug deeper It appears as if they bit into my chicken and mozzarella sticks and put it back, gross asf. Beware this spot, I won’t be returning. Really disgusting.

The worst, I will never go back. $35 food was cold, old, and skimpy. Got my drink wrong, too. Large popcorn chicken!? Sauced!? That's not even a small order of fries in the box! This place needs to be shut down!
Terrance C — Google review
It’s a classic pull-up-and-eat-in-your-car spot where the food has zero nutritional value and 100% flavor. Probably taking years off my life, but honestly? Worth it. Every single time. 4 stars, because my cardiologist would cry if I gave it 5.
Danielle C — Google review
It's my favorite place to go for a fast food burger joint. ALWAYS fresh and clean. Quick service, too. I love the staff.
Corey W — Google review
We love going. The food is always fresh and packed with flavor. I usually get a breakfast sandwich with tater tots and some kind of shake. And then as a special treat, I get a corn dog. Great late night stop for food when I am working late. Sonic has a way of helping you step back in time with the way it is laid out with individual menus and buttons to place your order. So I tried their pretzel - OMG, yes they really are that good. Never tried it, then you are missing out. I now get the pretzel instead of the corn dogs. New item, chocolate chip ice-cream sandwiches. It brings me back to a time I used to get them in school. They are very delicious and must be eaten right away. Thank you Sonic for your new ideas. I love them.
